Speaker 1 (01:24):
I'm jumping all over that tomorrow. Now y'all want to
jump on it today, that would be wonderful, But I'm
jumping all over that one.

Speaker 4 (01:31):
Cobe coving In basically just lighting Lebron James on fire
to open up a press conference as he gets ready
for a fight this weekend that nobody thought was gonna
you know, I'm Andy saw coming.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
You got to ask yourself the question, why hasn't there
been any real attention pay to the correlation between what
he's been doing recently and what's been happening recently. There
hasn't been a real media push to actually maybe delve

(02:05):
into it, to actually maybe, you know, ask that question,
you know, just to make sure you, you know, maybe
separate yourself from what's going on, rather than it coming
across as maybe perpetuating what could be assumed.

Speaker 4 (02:27):
Just saying that's hoole dope man, it's yeah. He let
him up, yeah, unprovoked, opened up his presser and just said, basically,
did you hear did you hear the audio on it? Que?
What's that on? On? Kobe? Uh? We'll be coming to
lighten up, Lebron James.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
Oh, yeah, yeah, I mean that's a couple of what
what parts of it would you say?

Speaker 3 (02:56):
Was?

Speaker 4 (02:56):
I just don't like it just came out of No.
I don't know. I don't either. Should we play it?

Speaker 1 (03:02):
I mean, I don't know what the motivation is either,
But maybe the motivation is that, how are you going
to play it?

Speaker 2 (03:08):
Well? Lee?

Speaker 4 (03:10):
Can we what's the turnaround time? On? He opens up?
I sent you the link, not Lee Boy? Not Lee Boy?
Why not? What do you mean? I don't know, Lee,
Let's let's try and roll that in. There is some
cursing in it, everybody who Lee Boy? I don't know.
I don't know if that's what Lee. Make sure you

(03:32):
include the follow up the beginning of the follow up
question from the media member who didn't know how to
respond to how Kobe opened up the press conference.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
You know, he made it a point and this is
what I think, Yes, what's the motivation? I would say,
I would offer the fact that there are some people
that are truly, truly passionate about first responders, and he
made it a point to reference the whole idea of
how how Lebron had his coach towards you know, the

(04:01):
police department, and so you know, some people really really
look at that as as very not American, and and
so I would assume possibly that that was the motivation
behind his anger. But what it immediately made me think of,
and I started to wonder, is why isn't I mean,

(04:25):
there has to be someone who is going to talk
to Lebron or ask Lebron about any connection to that
situation and there and that that has not happened. I mean,
let's be let's be real about it. I mean, let's
let's keep it one hundred a buck from the hip.

(04:46):
You're not seeing that on on Sports Center. You're not
seeing that on any of these news outlets where you're
actually asking Lebron James, can you clear this up? Because
as we get further down this rabbit hole, there is
content there. There are pictures, there are videos, there are
sound bites there, there are things that are surfacing that

(05:08):
could actually lead to you being directly discussed and talked
about in the circles of what was taking place with Diddy.

Speaker 4 (05:19):
I mean, listen, if you asked him a difficult Colt
question after an NBA Finals game, he got up, grabbed
his bag and walked out and through a tantrum. How
do you think he's going to handle it?

Speaker 1 (05:27):
Okay, so you throw a tangrum, you get up, you
grab your bag, and you walk out. Does that do
you any justice as it applies to There's still a
lot of things that could kind of unfold and could
surface from what's taking place with Diddy?

Speaker 5 (05:44):
Okay, so are we doing this segment Lebron and just
because if we're going to go into let's go into it.
Because there's also some speculation of trade rumors right like
he could be traded to the Warriors. That's kind of
been floating around out there now. I don't know if
we need to do a knowledge or justify those rumors.
I personally look and get a hold on a second.

(06:05):
So the guy who basically got the coach he wanted,
who he formerly did a podcast with and got the
organization to draft his.

Speaker 4 (06:14):
Son, go ahead, talk about it.

Speaker 5 (06:16):
Is gonna up and then just get traded to the Warriors. Like,
how does that make any sense? And if it does happen,
then it calls into question. I mean I don't want
need to get into Steph Curry angle of things, but
what is Lebron ultimately looking to do at this point
in his career, and I think the simple answer would

(06:36):
be like go to a better team and kind of
chase championships at that point, right. I mean again here,
and here's the thing about the Lebron Michael Jordan debate
or even Kobe for people out there who are Kobe
fans aren't Lebron fans, is you've already got your feet
dug in, like there's nothing that's gonna change your opinion

(06:57):
one way or another.

Speaker 4 (06:59):
Like young Kats, A lot.

Speaker 5 (07:00):
Of people who side to the Lebron James the greatest ever,
we'll use this statistical argument when he's played for you know,
a long long time. Most people who say Jordan, they're
simply like, we don't need stats because we watched it,
like we watched his greatness. We watched him play, and
you're not gonna convince me otherwise. You know there's a

(07:21):
gap in there too, So it took away from the stats.

Speaker 4 (07:24):
The game has changed. That changes a lot.

Speaker 5 (07:25):
Too in regards to how this. You know, stats are
looked at at least that's how I feel, So I
guess I just look at it and go like, what
is the point of it if he did all this
for the Lakers and then it's somehow behind the scenes
trying to orchestrate a trade out just to go chase
some more rings or be in a better situation than

(07:46):
what the Lakers are at this point.

Speaker 1 (07:48):
I mean, don't you just feel like the timing is
is just really really it's just really peculiar.

Speaker 4 (07:53):
Time, especially after you just basically work to the organization
into drafting your son and then you're just gonna bail.
Although I think Bronny did score thirty points in the
z League or whatever it's called last night, so there
is that, all right, Why do you do that? Do what?
You know? It's called I misspoke? Come on, it happens

(08:14):
from time to time.

Speaker 5 (08:16):
Here was so for feel bad? You think it's funny,
Like no one thinks it's funny.

Speaker 4 (08:24):
It's not funny.

Speaker 5 (08:25):
And then someone hits us up on social media like, oh,
Jonas doesn't even know what basketball league is the minor
league for that.

Speaker 4 (08:30):
I don't care what they say. Who cares?

Speaker 5 (08:32):
I know you don't care. I'm just saying, it's just
there's no point. It's a terrible joke, all right. So
here's Colby Covington. He is a UFC fighter, a very
good UFC fighter. He's got a fight coming up this weekend.

Speaker 4 (08:45):
An awesome dude. They do these, uh, these media calls
in which fighters sit down and they'll answer a bunch
of questions, and this is how the press conference started
out for Colby Covington this week.

Speaker 6 (08:57):
I want to ask Lebron what does he mean by
there's no party like a Diddy party? I truly want
to know. And not only that, Lebron, how many Diddy
parties have you actually been to? I'm really curious to know.
And is that the reason you left social media because
all the backlash you were getting for going to so
many bitty Diddy parties? It's just just pathetic man. People

(09:19):
think this guy's a role model, wants to defund the police,
the most patriot people of America serving and protecting our country. Lebron,
your scumbag, and I hope you get locked up in
the same cell with Diddy.

Speaker 4 (09:34):
Well, Kobe, nice to see you again. Wow, Well there
you go.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
I think I had a few things I needed to
get off my chest.

Speaker 4 (09:45):
Like what do you think he was doing strolling through
social media?

Speaker 2 (09:48):
Up?

Speaker 1 (09:49):
It might have I think that was calculated. Well, okay,
he was calculated and doing that. Here's the book on
Kobe Covington. When he was fighting early in UFC career,
a lot of people labeled him as a quote unquote
boring fighter. He needed to do something. He felt like
he needed to do something before he was going to
get released by the organization to try and build his brand.

(10:11):
So he took on this approach to where he was going.

Speaker 4 (10:14):
To go after everybody, he was going to be support
you know, Donald Trump, all of that stuff, and went
all in And a lot of people have said, well, listen,
he's not really like that. This is a character. But
the Lebron stuff has been going on for a long
ass time. Like he has gone after Lebron several times,
whether it's pre fight, post fight, you name it. And

(10:36):
so when he saw the opportunity now because he hasn't
fought in a little while, to just open it up,
he knew the media wasn't going to ask him any
questions about Lebron, so he just decided, all right, I'll
take it upon myself and just went scorched earth on
him the entire time. And this is what he's done
for a couple of years now, except this time he
does ask maybe a couple of fair questions.

Speaker 1 (10:59):
Those I mean, for what it's worth, they are fair
questions that we have not heard being asked.

Speaker 4 (11:04):
That's for one.

Speaker 1 (11:05):
For two, understanding your audience, they say, understand the audience,
like read the room, understand your audience.

Speaker 4 (11:12):
Well, you know what if you if you.

Speaker 1 (11:14):
Understand UFC culture, he understands his audience because that's a
very very patriotic UH fan base that is connected to UH,
to the UFC fight game, to to the sports industry,
so to to our culture in general. It's it's a
patriotic UH fan base. So anyway, I just what's more

(11:39):
interesting to me is he he could come across any
way he wanted to, and that that, you know whatever,
it is his rant that he presented and offered, you know,
non solicited in his interview. But I feel like the
bigger question that comes from it is did you not
think that? Did who?

Speaker 4 (11:59):
Who?

Speaker 1 (11:59):
When when Lebron James said I'm leaving social media for
a while, When Lebron James, you know, kind of what's
connected to the Diddy parties, the p Diddy period with
what was being pushed out there. I mean did no
one not get curious about it? And what is media about?

Speaker 4 (12:21):
Can I tell you what my initial thought was. I
thought he, like others were pouting about the election, and
he was like, this is going to be my stance.
I don't want to deal with this and make up
some you know, kaka MEMI excuses to why I didn't
even think about that aspect it. I mean, I didn't
it out.

Speaker 1 (12:39):
I mean, bro, if you're paying attention the content that
was coming out, like did you see the photo of
him and the maid outfit? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (12:49):
But is that real? I don't know? But why not
ask the question? That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 5 (12:55):
Can we go our photos of professional athletes and mad
gear expertly to lap Lee? Is that photo real of
Lebron Joys?

Speaker 4 (13:03):
Yeah? Lebron is a maid? Is that real? Have you seen?
I have not seen this photo?

Speaker 1 (13:10):
Can we come to you out of authority? I mean,
I mean, isn't it work? I mean all I'm saying, hey.

Speaker 4 (13:17):
Hey, I think so. I'm listen. Oscar de la Hoya
did it and confirmed that.

Speaker 1 (13:23):
It was and told and told Shannon on Club who
hasn't what man hasn't dressed up in women's clothing, you know,
in the comforts and confounds of their own. That's an
interesting guy asked. He told that the shen and Sharp
on the show.

Speaker 7 (13:39):
Is ask this is not real, dude, It's it's it's
been debunked.

Speaker 4 (13:46):
Everyone's all I know is.

Speaker 1 (13:48):
All I know is you can't debunk that that video
of what I'm saying that I did not like a
Diddy party. So whatever it is that resonates from it,
why not have the conversation. There's not what media is
about asking questions about things that are connected to especially
mega juggernaut athletes such as a Lebron James.

Speaker 4 (14:09):
First of all, none of the kiss asks at ESPN
are gonna ask the question, and nobody here locally he
is gonna ask the question. It's not happening. They've got
too much invested.

Speaker 1 (14:17):
Do you think they tell them? Do you think they
pre warn them to not? These are the questions you
are totally not to ask and bring up a Lebron James.

Speaker 4 (14:31):
Yeah, I mean, I'm actually reading a Snopes article on this. Now.
You could see it. In the hands the hands are.

Speaker 8 (14:39):
I was gonna say the same thing.

Speaker 4 (14:40):
Those are not his hands. Those are all right? So
that one night, he addresses are made, all right, exonerated.

Speaker 5 (14:47):
In Lebron's defense. By the way, there is going to
be so much stuff AI can do. Scary, Yeah, easily,
like it's gonna be. I mean, Lee's gonna have a
really tough job trying to.

Speaker 4 (14:59):
Easily.

Speaker 5 (15:00):
Now that we've ordained you as the official in determining
these matters, you more ordained them.

Speaker 4 (15:06):
I'm not well, I'm not dying on that here.

Speaker 5 (15:09):
Someone has to Yeah, well, I just I feel like
there needs to be a you know, a level of
authority and track, and it needs in fairness of NFL media,
they did ask Roger Goodell.

Speaker 4 (15:24):
They said, hey, what are your thoughts on the jay
Z stuff that's come out? Because jay Z's company, Rock
Nation does the Super Bowl talent. Yeah, yeah, and it's true.
Roger Goodell just said, yeah, we know there's a civil
suit and you know, we have no plans at this
time to make any changes to that. And let's be clear,
and let's be clear.

Speaker 1 (15:42):
If that were a player, if that were a coach,
if that were a GM what would happen, If it
were owner, what would happen.

Speaker 4 (15:53):
I mean, these are questions that should be asked.

Speaker 1 (15:57):
It's a publicly consumed product, and I think we all
know if it was a player. I think we all
know if there was a civil suit that came out
on a player to to this this this topic of conversation,
we I think we all know what would happen. I
don't know how far up the latter it goes where
you'd say that the result, the end result is not

(16:20):
the same, but it's possible by organization, a GM, a CEO,
a president ahead of this, uh, you know, whatever it
may be, they could have the same type of consequences
as a player would.

Speaker 4 (16:38):
And people think we don't talk NBA on this show. Yeah,
I'm just said this. This is hey who won the
league tournament? Things still happening, I think so. I think
they're on their way to I mean, I'll be honest
with you, going to no lie, no lie.

Speaker 5 (16:53):
Last night I was watching in these women's basketball team
versus Yukon, which, by the way, great, great win for
the Irish.

Speaker 4 (16:59):
I would rather want that then then.

Speaker 5 (17:03):
I'm just being honest, Like I found it more entertaining
watching Hannah Hidalgo Olivia Miles. You know, Pagebacker is more
entertained than regular sea's NBA.

Speaker 1 (17:12):
Would that Caitlin Clark hitline not too long ago too.
But I mean, I'm just saying we stay away from it.

Speaker 4 (17:19):
But oh, it's just an interesting thing going on, I
guess in the round ball world. I mean, if you
if you've seen any of the NBA this year, it's
it's pretty obvious that it's the Celtics and then everybody else.
It's not. Really they are pretty good, Yeah, there's not.
It's so weird to Jonas, what team did you root
for growing up? Well, I'm not really much of an
NBA guy, to be honest with you. Yeah, but if

(17:39):
you had to pick a team, like, would it be
the Boston Celtics, I would say it probably just because
of my Irish roots, I would say the Boston Celtics.
All at that time in Dublin, we spent really did
wonders for me. Well, to be honest with you, that's interesting.
Irish roots, Irish I think, so gotcha, I believe so,
who knows? I wish.

Speaker 5 (17:58):
I wish people could understand the level of like front
running that Jonas has done throughout his life. And I
get it. I get it.

Speaker 4 (18:05):
He's a sports fan.

Speaker 5 (18:06):
He likes all these teams that are really really good
when he was young, with the exception of the Cubs,
Like that's the one spot where I do have a
compassionate for you know, spot for you, even though they
have one recently.

Speaker 1 (18:18):
So there are a lot of sports people out there
that are like that, though, I will say that I
found it, Oh yeah, I find it to be like
the most interesting phenomenon when you're like walking into airport
or you're in a public place that you always happen
to talk to people who are from where the super
Bowl team, Like they're playing in the Super Bowl, I'm

(18:41):
from there.

Speaker 4 (18:41):
I was.

Speaker 1 (18:43):
I'm a fan of that team every single year when
I when I was playing more so i played, I
paid attention to it. Like you be going to the
Pro Bowl, or you be going to the super Bowl
or going to some type of event and you're in
the airport and you talk to people and they're like, yeah,
I'm from I'm you know, I'm from New England. I'm
from Boston. Right then they're in the super Bowl, like, yeah,

(19:05):
you're not from New England.

Speaker 5 (19:07):
I still think the dopest thing about flying through Logan
the airport in Boston is all the banners that hang Dude,
that is the biggest flex of any airport in any city.
To me in this country, it is I get chills
looking up at it. I'm like, that's that goes strong man, Like,
that's a reminder, Like you got that six am flight,

(19:30):
you're getting up there, get the security.

Speaker 4 (19:31):
You look up, You're like, damn.

Speaker 5 (19:33):
And by the way, for those at home who don't know,
sixteen NBA championships the Boston Celtics have won. It's the
most of any franchise, and I'll see the most recent
in twenty twenty four.

Speaker 4 (19:43):
So don't let Jonas try to distract you. It's eighteen.
It's now eighteen. I'm seeing sixteen. No eighteen, Come on.
I'm just telling you what the internet's telling me. The
Lakers use the bubble to count as a tie at seventeen,
and the Lake Celtics one eighteen line this year. So
but it's weird. Why is it Tommy? Why is it

(20:03):
Tommy sixteenth? I don't know. It's probably Wikipedia, think about
bad information. Tis the season. If you go look up
anything on Wikipedia, they're asking for money. So have fun
with that. But it is two pros and two years
on this. Yeah?

Speaker 5 (20:17):
Is that is that wikipedias full wonder that you hit
me up about funding whoever.

Speaker 4 (20:23):
It's like, hey, donate to three dollars to keep what's
going We need something you wouldn't want to private. Yeah,
can we get I need to donate.

Speaker 1 (20:31):
They haven't had anybody on pay rolled up dated.

Speaker 4 (20:34):
For my main source of information. For an extra dollars
seventy five, we'll have the correct information for you if
you could just pip in at some point during the
end that chat.

Speaker 1 (20:44):
GBT isn't free anymore, right, you gotta pay for that now?
Oh no, I think so everybody's going to pay for
pay now right?

Speaker 4 (20:52):
What happened to free? I loved it when it was free? Yeah,
man too. Two rows and a cup of Joe. Fox
Sports Radio, LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you
coming up next here, though, should know that Corsey would
a front runner. Front runner by the way, speaking of

(21:12):
speaking of front runners, there's a fan base in college football.
Apparently they're a bunch of front runners. They don't have
respect for success when it comes to their sport and
their program. We'll get into that for you right here
on FSR.

Speaker 2 (21:25):
Be sure to catch live editions of two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern, three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 4 (21:39):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe. Here Fox Sports Radio,
LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you. We are
going to have our picks against the spread coming up
here in a little over fifteen minutes from now here
from the tire rack dot Com studios. By the way,
this just came out. If you went out and got
yourselves and Odell Beckham Jersey for the Miami Dolphins and prayers,

(22:01):
they've mutually agreed to part ways. Uh so OBJ and
the Dolphins of their time together. That's a rap, according
to Tom Pelasero. So he will be available for any
team to claim on Monday, and if nobody claims him,
he will be an unrestricted free agent clearing waivers. So
kind of a kind of an awkward year for OBJ.
He was late to the party. And then what's the point.

(22:24):
We played in more games than I thought he did.
I mean he didn't start any of this year. He
played nine games. That's the big that's the big kicker
for me is.

Speaker 1 (22:34):
I mean thought, you know, there was a lot of
afterthoughts about obj I mean, he never.

Speaker 5 (22:42):
Really understood where he fit in on that roster, and
he wasn't even healthy for a large portion.

Speaker 4 (22:50):
It was I mean, that was bizarre. Yeah, I don't
I don't know. I didn't look at them and think,
you know, they could use another wide receiver. That's that's
that's the direction they should. But you know, he made
it work. And by the way, at least he made
amends for his behavior in Miami the last time. Didn't
get kicked off a plane a couple of years ago.
It caused a bunch of people to uh to miss
their flights and all that. So at least there's that.

(23:13):
By the ways, that's what you're gonna jump on. I
don't know. I couldn't all be honest.

Speaker 1 (23:17):
That was where you wanted to plant your flag, you know.
There there's you know, there's felonies for planting.

Speaker 4 (23:23):
That's a fellon at in certain states. I gotta be careful.

Speaker 5 (23:26):
And by the way, I hope people in the state
of Ohio understand I'm not calling them soft in any way.
The law, the legislation is soft. The the mindset of
any politician who feels like it's necessary and then wants
to use the geist of well, we're protecting.

Speaker 4 (23:43):
Our law enforcement. No you're not.

Speaker 5 (23:44):
Man, he tried to make a case. Josh Wayne's trying
to make a case and talking about how well this
happened in another you know fields and other you know
conferences too. Okay, do you see anyone else creating legislation
around it? Like just it's I just still can't believe
it's an actual thing, Like I woke up this morning

(24:04):
and thought that was just something we made up and
talked about.

Speaker 4 (24:08):
But it's legitimate, true, let them plant their flag. It
also doesn't I give Michigan fans material for the next
forever for eternity.

Speaker 5 (24:20):
And by the way, did Michigan create any laws when
they were getting their butt kicked by Ohio State for almost.

Speaker 4 (24:25):
Ten years whatever it was, I mean, Ohio State jumped
all over. I'm saying the reasoning and played in COVID
is because they were fearing a loss and so I
had nothing to do with the pandemic, had nothing to do.
They just didn't want to lose again.

Speaker 5 (24:38):
And then yeah, which which which honestly may have been true,
I mean, it may have been a convenient excuse for
Michigan to get out of it, but since twenty twenty one,
we really can't say much.

Speaker 4 (24:49):
All right, So, speaking of Ohio State, Ross B. York,
the athletic director there at Ohio State, very confident in
Ryan Day quote, Coach Day is awesome, great to work with,
totally gets it. He loves being a buck guy. So
we're going to support him at the highest level, he said,

(25:09):
and went on to say, Coach Day and I have
hit it off really well. I've been really really impressed
every time I say a single time I talk to him,
rather I learned something. He's innovative, he recruits at the
highest level. He's got a great staff, and went on
to say that we have great respect for him and
so on and so forth. We do expect him to
be back next year. That from ros Byorke, the athletic

(25:32):
director there at Ohio State, which is probably not the
biggest surprise to anybody. I'm just wondering. It feels like,
and maybe I'm reading the room wrong, but it does
feel like of all the teams that are in the
college football Playoff, Ohio State seems like the one that's
kind of like, and I just wonder if they're setting
themselves up with dealing with the Tennessee team only to

(25:54):
lose at home, and then where does the conversation go
with that.

Speaker 5 (25:57):
It is weird, like there's so much excitement around the
whole playoff games, but it feels like that one is
the one that everyone's most anticipating because of how it
could turn. I mean, and I was there recently, obviously
for the House State Michigan game, and you could feel
the crowd, the stadium turn.

Speaker 4 (26:17):
It was.

Speaker 5 (26:17):
It was really eerie in the fourth quarter where you
kind of felt like, oh no, like this is gonna
happen again, and like everyone felt it.

Speaker 4 (26:25):
It felt like the team was feeling that too.

Speaker 5 (26:27):
It just the way that crowd got quiet and then
kind of got bitter and just like almost like they
could kind of feel that moment coming and there's nothing
they could do.

Speaker 4 (26:36):
To stop it.

Speaker 5 (26:37):
So, like, Ryan Day's a great football coach. He's sixty
six and ten. Think about that, four of the ten
losses are to Michigan.

Speaker 4 (26:48):
It's it's crazy.

Speaker 5 (26:49):
And then of the other you know, six that are
left over, half of those are playing in some sort
of playoff.

Speaker 4 (26:58):
I mean, it's nuts if you really look at his record, like.

Speaker 5 (27:01):
He's been incredible, and I would say one of the
things that has stood out is the difference is obviously
from Urban Meyers to Ryan Day, is the lack of
success versus Michigan. Like that's the one thing standing his way.
They kicked their butt in twenty nineteen and didn't play
in twenty twenty. That's been Michigan since. But what you
don't see, too is you don't see that bad Iowa loss.

(27:22):
You don't see the bad Purdue loss like they handle
their business like they have not struggled versus like the
unranked teams, and any issue with that. Now Michigan would
have been the only exception to that most recently. It's
kind of different because it's a rivalry game. But I'm saying,
like those cupcake ones, there's never those like surprise games
that happened during coach Meyer's career, sometimes at Ohio State.

(27:42):
So he's like, who are going to replace him with?
I know we have these ideas of Mike Rabel and
some of the other coaches we throw out.

Speaker 4 (27:50):
There, but he's done a hell of a job.

Speaker 5 (27:55):
I think the thing that bothered me most about Ross
Buorck's comments where he talked about almost deemphasizing the game,
like they put so much into the game that you
can't do that anymore because now you still have the
chance of winning a national championship and you've got to
go play in this playoff. And yet to your point,
like people are as excited about it, and that's a problem,

(28:15):
Like you want that place to be rocking, and now
there's an issue with like how the tickets and the
code and all this stuff got out, so the Tennessee
fans buying some tickets to come there. And here's another thing.
This is a complete side note. And I know, LeVar,
if you know this, the college Football Playoff Committee actually
controls like everything.

Speaker 1 (28:34):
Everything, well everything, not every everything, but everything.

Speaker 4 (28:38):
The only thing they don't control, like parking, No parking,
they'll even get.

Speaker 5 (28:43):
A cut off. It's concessions. And there's one other thing.

Speaker 1 (28:48):
I thought it was parking concessions. I think I think
that was it. Everything else like they control the tickets,
they control.

Speaker 5 (28:56):
They control the jumbo tron in the stadium, so a
MU and as far as the music being played and
all that throughout the game. SMU we even have like
in Happy Valley be having like a highlight video. Same
thing with Tennessee. Here's the here's the part about the
college football Playoff that I can't stand.

Speaker 4 (29:15):
It's like we everyone wanted.

Speaker 5 (29:16):
Home games, and you want this home home you know,
home field environment, crowd environment, and yet you have an
entity that comes in, controls tickets, controls the entire process,
and then you you can't even you can't even have
a home field advantage.

Speaker 4 (29:32):
Like what's that's the whole point.

Speaker 5 (29:34):
You should have it, Like the DJ in there should
be playing music on third down to hype up Penn State,
to hype up Ohio State or Notre Dame.

Speaker 4 (29:42):
And you're not going to have that. It's crazy.

Speaker 1 (29:46):
Yeah I heard that and I was like wow, Yeah,
and books ESPN.

Speaker 4 (29:53):
I mean, that's who's behind all of it.

Speaker 1 (29:55):
It upset a lot of alumni and letterman because apparently
they're controlling like who's on the sidelines and everything.

Speaker 4 (30:03):
They control, access to the field, they control, limiting all
of that. If you want to neutralize, you just throw
it on a neutral turf. Then like, don't have it
at home, because that's that wasn't the whole point of this.
We want to see what that environment as well. No
better teams got rewarded with home games, but you got to.

Speaker 1 (30:17):
Look at it from this perspective. You're adding a big
time game to a town. It's going to be a
stimulus for the entire town too.

Speaker 4 (30:27):
Yeah, they don't.

Speaker 5 (30:29):
Supposedly, it's supposed to get twelve million dollars of economic
activity from hosting Tennessee Saturday Night. That is the estimated figures.
I don't know who came up with that, but it's
a decent number. It's not as I honestly thought it'd
be a little bigger than that. But I can also understand,
you know why it's it's not bigger, Like again, it's

(30:51):
it's cold.

Speaker 1 (30:52):
I mean, I mean, regardless, twelve million more than what
they would have gotten if they didn't have a game there.
You know, if that's it, that's the figure.

Speaker 5 (31:00):
Know if if like look, if the Jks wanted to
come out and do a you know, solo show remote,
maybe that would have brought some great economic activity.

Speaker 1 (31:08):
I mean, which one though, the Joel Clatt Show. Damn,
is that what you meant? That's what you meant, right,
Joel in Dublin? You mean in Ohio and Columbus.

Speaker 4 (31:21):
And you guys share a room with him one time
in Vegas room you forget you forget about me. I
didn't share a room with Did you share some banquet room? Oh?

Speaker 1 (31:30):
I didn't see, but that was I didn't see little
bro either, you know what I mean.

Speaker 5 (31:34):
Joe look good to man. He had one of those
like navy blue textedos. I was like, damn, I need
to give me one of those. I don't know, man,
I didn't see you, Like, I wasn't sure when they
say black tie, like, how literally you should take that?

Speaker 9 (31:46):
So I just wore black literally, like a navy blue one. Yeah,
there were some guys, what color, what color is your outfit?
Black dog, black.

Speaker 4 (31:59):
Jacket. It was so black that Q didn't even know
I had a jacket on. Man.

Speaker 5 (32:02):
I was just like, man, my dude is out here
wilding out, live streaming this thing, talking to the camera,
this photo ticket.

Speaker 4 (32:12):
Oh. The funny thing was people loved it.

Speaker 5 (32:16):
Like as soon as le Bar walked out and had
his phone out and stuff, They're like, oh.

Speaker 4 (32:19):
That's great, that's relatable.

Speaker 5 (32:20):
People are like, yeah, like that's what people do now
because most of the most most of the they're a little older.

Speaker 4 (32:25):
Yeah, they're coming out looking serious and they were. It
was taking them a lot of walk like they were
walking over. Yeah. Was that not appropriate to have your
phone out? That's at the event.

Speaker 1 (32:35):
I was appropriate. It's our event. We're Hall of Famers.
You know, knew what ever?

Speaker 4 (32:41):
He once. Yeah, I told you I pulled my phone
out to Shazama song. There's my suit right there. Look,
I just sent it to you. I had still Shazam's songs. Yeah,
because I wanted to know. I was at my buddy's funeral.
They're Italian and said, you tell this story. I don't
think you had the jacket on though. I think you
had this shirt. No, no, I had it all. Oh no,
I'm so mad. I didn't get to see Paul. Yeah,

(33:03):
there you go. Yeah, I had a jacket on. There
you go. So I had on man, Paul Leslie, that's
my yeah, Pa.

Speaker 1 (33:14):
You know Shawn Lee was there. Yeah, Sawn and Paus
come on man Dan Connor Yeah, which, by the way,
they had they had Navarro Bowman on that that on
that linebacking corps.

Speaker 4 (33:28):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (33:29):
I don't think he played, but he was there. They
were there. I think what year were you there the
year they played an Orange Bowl.

Speaker 4 (33:39):
That was the we played against him in six.

Speaker 1 (33:43):
He might have been he might have been younger, but
I'm pretty certain he was. Well, No, he might have.

Speaker 4 (33:49):
Been for sure. Sean Lee, Dan, Dan Connor, Paul Pust linebackers.
He might have been there. He was younger. He might
have been. He might be. He might have been like
still on his way up.

Speaker 1 (33:59):
Maybe maybe, I don't know, I gotta look that up.
I didn't dealt with so many guys. I don't remember.
But the point is they were all on the stop. Stop,
what's the jonas Like, you're so stupid.

Speaker 4 (34:13):
Wait, I'm just trying to Yeah, get us to whatever. Yeah,
get us a break. No, I think you dealt with guys.
I don't care, Like two.

Speaker 1 (34:19):
Thousand and six to two thousand and nine, so he
was there, But yeah, bro, I mean that that's a
pretty deep linebacking corps man.

Speaker 4 (34:26):
In fact, that defense is so good it was like
your best offense almost, Is that right?

Speaker 1 (34:30):
Because you know the best offense is the best defense,
and well that's a burner. You don't want to play
around with your personal safety. Family safety is definitely a priority.
Make it yours. Choose Burner. It's a less lethal pistol
launcher and you can get ten percent off. Go to
Burner by r NA dot com slash LeVar I approve

Speaker 4 (35:56):
All right, Lee, how we looking well?

Speaker 8 (35:58):
Last week?

Speaker 7 (35:59):
Jonas, you were the only one who correctly took the
Steelers to beat the Browns.

Speaker 4 (36:04):
On that one. Easy. Yeah, thanks Jonas.

Speaker 1 (36:07):
Look, I didn't pick the Steelers to beat the Browns.
I took them on this. I took the points.

Speaker 8 (36:12):
Correct six and a half points.

Speaker 2 (36:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (36:15):
I mean Cleveland did in your defense, beating the last
time they played.

Speaker 5 (36:17):
But Johnny, here's the thing is, Jonas wants to claim
he's like this big Ohio guy and all this stuff,
and then he picks against the Browns.

Speaker 4 (36:24):
So I'm sorry, man, it's just the big thing. No,
it's all right, it's all right. I mean, it's just
you show your true colors. That's right. I'm a Chillicothee guy.
What do you want from me? That's still in the
state of Ohio, Jonas. But yeah, I know it's I'm
surprised you didn't know that. Oh my god, he just
told you that it was in Ohio.

Speaker 8 (36:40):
Well, LeVar, you were the only one who did take
the Vikings.

Speaker 4 (36:43):
To beat the Sticks.

Speaker 2 (36:46):
Pick.

Speaker 4 (36:46):
Yeah, yeah, sticks this. I'm sick of the Atlanta Falcons.
I'm tired of being all right, let's go Jonas.

Speaker 7 (36:54):
Yeah, Jonas probably won, well, it was a tie. Jonas
did correctly take the Rams against the Bills.

Speaker 4 (36:59):
Good job.

Speaker 7 (37:00):
And then Brady, you and LeVar both took Seattle, uh
to upset the car Tops.

Speaker 4 (37:05):
LeVar, there you go where that was an upset?

Speaker 8 (37:08):
Yeah, and then nobody got the Chiefs and Chargers.

Speaker 7 (37:11):
Everybody took the Chiefs uh, but they couldn't cover the spread.

Speaker 8 (37:14):
They only won nineteen seventeen four point spread there.

Speaker 4 (37:17):
So you didn't do the San fran Rams game. We
did not wed that was from this week. Yeah, that
was last week fifteen.

Speaker 7 (37:25):
Okay, but yeah, Jonas and LaVar, you guys did tie
two and three.

Speaker 8 (37:28):
So Lvar, you do maintain a one game lead over Jonas.

Speaker 4 (37:33):
Up top I was over to last nights. It's unbelievable.
Nothing to be excited. It's an epic. It's an epic
streak of failure right now. So yeah, just keep at it,
never give up, never give up.

Speaker 7 (37:45):
Well, there's time to come back now. We uh, let's
start with Week fifteen. Ravens sixteen and a half point
favorites on the road against the Giants.

Speaker 1 (37:55):
The Giants, I'll take the point that one was like
way too big.

Speaker 4 (38:00):
How bad are the Giants? I will take the New
York Giants. That's a lot of points. You know what,
I'm gonna switch up. I'm taking the Ravens. Yeah, they're
going to cover. Yeah, I'm gonna switch up a switch here, yeah,
Baltimore with I'm letting Gions take the Giants, all right.

Speaker 8 (38:20):
Dolphins of Texans Texans three point favorites at home.

Speaker 4 (38:27):
I'm taking Miami. I'm gonna take the Texans here. Yeah,
I'm gonna take the Texans. That's right. Yeah, okay, see
how we're playing this. That's fine? Yeah, all right.

Speaker 1 (38:44):
Uh.

Speaker 8 (38:44):
Bill's at Lions.

Speaker 4 (38:46):
Good game here.

Speaker 8 (38:46):
Two and a half point favorites for the Lions at home.

Speaker 4 (38:49):
Super Bowl preview Bills Lions. The who about how many?
Two and a half at home for the Lions. Yeah,
I'm a money line the Bills, man, whoa line? Bills it? Yeah?

Speaker 7 (39:08):
All right. Steelers at Eagles, Eagles five and at home
Eagles five and a half against the Steelers.

Speaker 4 (39:13):
See what Russ said, by the way, is like I
never lose against my rivals. In state. I'll take Pittsburgh.
I'm not betting against him anymore.

Speaker 1 (39:20):
I'm going to money line the Steelers.

Speaker 7 (39:23):
One Sunday Night Football Packers at Seahawks, Packers two and
a half.

Speaker 4 (39:28):
Nope, Seahawks.

Speaker 5 (39:30):
I'm a money line the Seahawks, Packers sticks picks ya
