Speaker 2 (00:33):
You're listening to Fox Sports.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
Radio Two Pros and a Cup of Joe here on
Fox Sports Radio, LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you.
So we are on the air yesterday when the news
was announced of the season opener, which will be the
Cowboys at the Eagles. That's gonna be the way the
NFL season will kick off. And we do have what

(00:56):
I believe is the updated version of everything that's official,
everything that we've got here that that appears to be official.
So let's take a gander at this. These are all
the games that we know of that are already either
announced or we have a pretty strong feeling are going
to be the matchup. So obviously, Cowboys Eagles season opener.

(01:17):
The Brazil game on that Friday night is going to
be the Chiefs versus the Chargers that will be on Peacock.
The Black Friday Game, oh gosh, well be no offense
the Black Friday Games. Can we like be professional for one.

Speaker 4 (01:41):
Moment here on the show.

Speaker 3 (01:43):
The Black Friday the Bears at the Eagles that will
be on Amazon Prime.

Speaker 4 (01:49):
Baby.

Speaker 3 (01:52):
Then there's a Saturday doubleheader Eagles at the Commanders, Packers
at the Bears, and then the Christmas game will be
the Broncos at the Chiefs. So apparently Kansas City really
has fallen into the groove of show them on Christmas Day.
So that'll be your matchups there. And thanks to our
friends at DraftKings, we've got betting lines. We do have

(02:14):
some odds on all these games. The Dallas Cowboys and
the season opener are getting seven points, so they are
a seven point underdog hammer the Eagles also the Black
Friday Game. I don't know how you would know this
many months ahead of time, but the Eagles are also
a seven point favorite. When it comes to that, if

(02:35):
you're placing wagers on these games this far in advance,
and it's like not your line of work, like, you're
not a professional better, you're just doing it because you
got to scratch the itch. I mean, isn't that a
sign that they're gambling? Yeah, Like might be a bigger
issue the definition of it. Do you really want to
wait until Black Friday to see your winnings?

Speaker 5 (02:58):
Well, here's the thing that I'd say is if, again,
not that you have in depth knowledge on either team
at this point. Injuries could play a factor so many things,
but that line could be you know, let's say you
think that Philly's gonna be a really good football team.

Speaker 4 (03:13):
The ship that maybe the line should be ten.

Speaker 5 (03:15):
You know what I'm saying, you could actually get by
placing a future's bet at that.

Speaker 4 (03:19):
Value, really good value.

Speaker 5 (03:21):
Or let's say Philly you know falls apart, you take
the other side of it, you could actually get really
good value out of that bet.

Speaker 4 (03:28):
So that's why you take a futures.

Speaker 5 (03:30):
Like that is you can actually get a better value
than what you could get during the season.

Speaker 3 (03:34):
Are you guys fans of the way that they're releasing
the schedule like to where it's not even they're not
even doing it on one day, They're just releasing a
little bit at a time. They released one yesterday on Monday.
I think they're doing Good Morning America is releasing another
matchup today or something like that.

Speaker 6 (03:51):
Yeah, the International Games should be announced today. Yeah, Good
Morning America is doing some games.

Speaker 5 (03:56):
Because all the different networks are kind of announcing it
in their own ways.

Speaker 4 (03:59):
I wish they either.

Speaker 5 (04:01):
Had something more planned or like a week of it
where we kind of knew it was coming and.

Speaker 4 (04:05):
They weren't leaked out.

Speaker 5 (04:06):
This feels like you're walking down like let's say, just
you're walking down the street in New York City and
someone's just cropped destinue you from time to time, like
you don't know where it's coming from. You just smell
the leak of it coming out, and you're like, what
the hell is happening? And you know, some are worse
than others.

Speaker 4 (04:23):
That's how it feels to me right now, with the
way this is being leaked out.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
That's a great one. I mean, why not just do
shows like why not all once?

Speaker 7 (04:32):
Right? Yeah? Do it all at once? Do you know
fantasy football shows? Like do it all at once?

Speaker 1 (04:41):
Just make it a whole big spectacle on things that
aren't as relevant as you know, maybe the draft or
the games.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
Like the draft. Present it like the draft.

Speaker 7 (04:51):
Why not?

Speaker 8 (04:52):
Isn't that what they used to do?

Speaker 2 (04:53):
Though?

Speaker 6 (04:53):
And then the leaks started coming out, So now they've
kind of tried to own the leaks, but the.

Speaker 3 (04:59):
Leaks are still coming out, like the Chiefs Chargers. Has
not been announced officially as the Brazil game, but everybody
knows it is.

Speaker 4 (05:06):
It's the Brazil game.

Speaker 3 (05:07):
Yeah, and the leaks are very similar to Lee Lee's
leaks in our studio. Yeah.

Speaker 8 (05:14):
I never have to question who those come from.

Speaker 3 (05:16):
No, he's been better though lately. There's no issues.

Speaker 4 (05:20):
What do you mean he just did it this break
when he came back in here and you just sat
there through it.

Speaker 3 (05:26):
I put my blanket over my face. Now you go.

Speaker 7 (05:29):
But that's no good because it gets blankets.

Speaker 3 (05:32):
Yeah, we're coming back from break. I have no choice, guys,
I have no choice.

Speaker 7 (05:38):
I love the fact that tickled by.

Speaker 8 (05:40):
It, he has a look at him, he's grinning.

Speaker 4 (05:43):
He it makes me think you have bad hygiene.

Speaker 6 (05:49):
I mean, it's a natural function that we all go through.

Speaker 8 (05:55):
Don't forget.

Speaker 1 (05:56):
How do you know that he does or does not?
Because I don't know that. You said we all know that.
I don't know that.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
Talked about it on the air a few weeks back.

Speaker 8 (06:04):
He said, he showers like three times a day. That's
why his skin is dry.

Speaker 4 (06:07):
And you believe that that's not why he's dehydrated.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
The guy brown, you go to get dehydrated? A bout water,
an iguana? I mean heart water does drag you out,
thank you? It does drag you out.

Speaker 7 (06:25):
Jeez.

Speaker 4 (06:27):
First of le, do not compare your self to LeVar?

Speaker 8 (06:29):
All right, I'm not compared myself to him. Has my
back from time to time, and I always.

Speaker 4 (06:34):
Okay, don't act like you're using shade butter or something.

Speaker 7 (06:37):
All right.

Speaker 8 (06:37):
I do use shape butter sometimes. How's your bottle of
lotion doing?

Speaker 7 (06:41):
Tang?

Speaker 2 (06:42):
Uh?

Speaker 7 (06:42):
It's still around, is it right?

Speaker 4 (06:46):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (06:46):
I use it from yeah, from time to time. Time
to time. I use that his lotion you used.

Speaker 4 (06:54):
You use shape butter from time to time because it's
not your lotion and someone else.

Speaker 7 (06:57):
Is very is it hand loads? Lee?

Speaker 3 (07:01):
What do you got in the mug there? You got booze?

Speaker 7 (07:05):
Oh see?

Speaker 8 (07:07):
I always drink my water. I always have a usually
have a bigger mug, not water.

Speaker 7 (07:13):
Back to your hygiene, Lee, Okay, let's go for it.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
You did make mention of the fact that you make
it a point to wash your feet because you saw
something on the fact that people don't wash their feet
when they take take showers.

Speaker 6 (07:26):
That's a long that's a deep pool. But yeah, well
I've always done that. I thought it was weird. I
saw the story that a large percentage of people don't
wash their bottom half because they think it trickles down,
which I think is gross.

Speaker 7 (07:39):
What.

Speaker 3 (07:40):
Yeah, that's a real thing.

Speaker 6 (07:42):
That's a real talk on the show they just scrab Yeah,
it's a long time ago, but I remember that.

Speaker 8 (07:48):
I think about like like.

Speaker 3 (07:50):
They're a slow drip coffee maker. Iant to get there eventually.
Let it marinate up top, but it'll get down.

Speaker 7 (07:55):
It's a bit different than washing yourself. That's gross.

Speaker 3 (07:58):
Dude, wash your whole botty you lazy slot.

Speaker 7 (08:01):
Now, that's what I think about it.

Speaker 8 (08:02):
This makes me think of a question I've had for you.
Var When you cook a big steak.

Speaker 6 (08:06):
Fat site up or fat site down on a track chip, Oh,
I cooked both sides.

Speaker 8 (08:11):
Well, yeah, but which one first? Yeah, I'll ask you all.

Speaker 1 (08:14):
I keep I keep the I keep what the most
seasoned part of it?

Speaker 3 (08:21):
You know?

Speaker 7 (08:22):
Yeah, I keep the most seasoned part up the top.

Speaker 6 (08:25):
Different people have different theories about the fat, either trickling
down or or.

Speaker 7 (08:29):
Cook it up. Well, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (08:32):
I don't know about that because I use my ownie
and I burn that bad boy really quickly, and I
get it up out of.

Speaker 5 (08:39):
There, hey real quick, not to get off, and I
can play tangent. Do you do use wood for that?

Speaker 4 (08:43):
Do you use a gas?

Speaker 7 (08:45):
I use gas propane.

Speaker 3 (08:46):
See, I've got a connection to it. But I like
the smell of the wood, and it's a little more
time intense. I got I got a trigger for the
pellets and the smoking. I'll smoke them, gotcha, I'll smoke them.
But I like, I like to just throw it in there.
And I had that five hundred degree fire just hit
that bad boy. Yeah, the propane's convenient, but the wood smell. Yeah,

(09:08):
the wood is definitely doper you know, it is what
it is. Propane, it's cleaner. I don't about the wood too.
It feels more like natural, more efficient, you know, like
you're out there it's wood, like you're a man.

Speaker 4 (09:21):
Yeah, okay, I actually like carrying like a shotgun. Well
like cooking. You know, it doesn't make any sense, but
it just feels more manly. I mean, I'll hear the woods.
I get it duck hunting when I'm doing my uti
as well.

Speaker 3 (09:35):
You just got to hang on on your shoulder there
looking around.

Speaker 1 (09:40):
I'm still confused on like listen, I get the whole
fat cooking up and down all that stuff, but back
to your hiden just I'm just curious, like when did
it become like a real thing for you to just
just let it go wherever you're at and don't care.
When did it become comfortable, because that's like for some

(10:03):
people that embarrasses them, like, oh my gosh. Like I
remember I had to slip up not too long ago,
and Mark was walking by and I didn't see him,
but I went outside, you know, into a common area
that kind of didn't know that the trumpet would would
sound the way that it did, and I heard Mark
laugh and it startled me. It startled me, and I

(10:24):
was embarrassed. I was upset, And I think I did
it to Lorraino one time too, Like I was in
the common ara area making sure that you know, I
you know, didn't break the air the wind anywhere where
it was you know, perceived to be an insult of
any kind.

Speaker 8 (10:42):
Well, I'll answer this for you.

Speaker 7 (10:45):
Uh.

Speaker 8 (10:45):
I didn't start the war, but I'll end it. It
started with Ryan, with Ryan Smith and with Roberto. Those
guys started it, and with Bobo.

Speaker 3 (10:53):
They're not but they're not here.

Speaker 7 (10:54):
No, you can't, Yeah, you can't say it.

Speaker 1 (10:56):
They started the war, but then it just you may
not started your who are you fighting with?

Speaker 6 (11:02):
They thought it was funny and then I was like, oh,
you want to play.

Speaker 7 (11:05):
You want to And.

Speaker 1 (11:08):
I joined into that at one point I really did
join in that you would, you would, But the fact
the fact that they're not here anymore, I stopped doing it.
You you you've waged war on Lorena and Lorena and
Body and thunder Man. This isn't even the same control
room when you were doing that.

Speaker 7 (11:29):
He agreed to play it.

Speaker 3 (11:30):
It's like it's like it's like hating your neighbor and
after they move out, you're still dumping your dog crap
in their yard with new people there. They didn't do
anything to you. Lee, They're gone, they're not here. Burto's
not here, Smith works another shift. They're not here, So
why are you still gassing everybody else?

Speaker 7 (11:48):
On?

Speaker 6 (11:48):
Sam took it worse than anybody and that actually made
it funnier.

Speaker 3 (11:53):
Like I didn't start it all, finishing it Welcome to
the big leagues.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
Lorena is very calm about how he'd be blowing her
down up in there. I don't get it.

Speaker 3 (12:04):
It just you know, it's at the point.

Speaker 8 (12:05):
Now, What am I gonna do?

Speaker 3 (12:09):
Uh?

Speaker 7 (12:11):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (12:12):
I don't have a lot of options.

Speaker 1 (12:14):
I get a lighter and a liceol can and every
time I smell it, blow fire on him with the lightsol.

Speaker 8 (12:23):
He thinks he's so smooth with it too.

Speaker 3 (12:25):
I went to a this is I went to a
family reunion when I was a kid, and this is still.
I still don't even understand why they were doing it.
I don't know if this is a a Midwest thing,
I don't know. But we were back in Illinois and
it was fourth of July, and I remember I think
they had been drinking. There were fireworks going on, and

(12:46):
my cousin, I think there were our cousins, But I
was young, I was probably like eight years old. Maybe
we're laying on their.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
Back becausin that that bent down over with the red
piece of yarn.

Speaker 7 (12:58):
No, No, that was my knee.

Speaker 3 (13:01):
Yeah, yeah, And and so my cousins were laying on
their back on a picnic table and they were putting
lighters up to their ass and farting into the lighter
to see who could make the biggest flame.

Speaker 1 (13:16):
Wow, did it really make a flying Yes? One guy's
pants caught on fire.

Speaker 6 (13:20):
Well, you gotta be careful and you got to wear
the pants. I mean, you gotta wear pants when you
do that, you don't do that.

Speaker 3 (13:25):
One guy was wearing like spandex bike shorts and which
I would apparently that was the thing. And yeah, his
ass caught on fire, like laying back trying to light
this flame up. So Lee, if you're looking to take
things to another level, if you happen to be working
on a four, just let us see the flames come
up every time.

Speaker 8 (13:44):
I'm good on that one. I'm scared. I don't like fire.

Speaker 3 (13:48):
They didn't start it, but I'll finish it. Welcome to
the big leagues. People aren't even hear anything the Thunderdome.
Berto hasn't been here in how long two years and
people are still paying for his crime.

Speaker 7 (14:00):
That's right.

Speaker 8 (14:01):
Blame Birdo, you say people, it's me.

Speaker 3 (14:07):
It is two pros and a cup of joe. Here
on Fox Sports Radio. And that'll wrap up our coverage
here thus far on the NFL schedule that is out.

Speaker 5 (14:13):

Speaker 4 (15:01):
It's like Lee Lee takes it on the run.

Speaker 3 (15:10):
Oh yeah, so take this long to get to the course.

Speaker 9 (15:17):
Always here you goes Lee.

Speaker 3 (15:30):
Lee karaoke song, Oh without a doubt you the good
knight that dump. It's a two pros and a cup
of Joe here on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (15:45):
Yeah, I must have that guy blocked because I don't
see his message. He's one of those those like weirdo dude,
because I generally don't even block people, and I blocked him.

Speaker 3 (15:59):
That is it, all Timer?

Speaker 7 (16:01):
I guess.

Speaker 3 (16:04):
Would you be offended if I retweeted that?

Speaker 7 (16:07):
No? Okay, why would I be offended? All right?

Speaker 1 (16:10):
I just want to I just wanted to ask. I
was looking for it so I could retweet it. Okay, Brady,
what do you get?

Speaker 7 (16:17):
You want to read it on air?

Speaker 2 (16:21):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (16:21):
Try it? Try to, I mean, you know, keep it clean.
But go ahead, you can read.

Speaker 3 (16:25):
It, all right? This from Alex on social media.

Speaker 7 (16:29):
Alex, Yeah, all right, let's go.

Speaker 3 (16:32):
Whoever is talking on Fox Sports Radio has some black
races saying there's a quota on white guys per team.
Oh it's LeVar Arrington. If someone said that to him
about black guys, he would effing cry and call Biden,
you big efing bleep, LeVar. These racests just get jobs.
Then you have some white guy Jonas in there with

(16:54):
him efing, just laughing at effing laughing thing, bleep white boy,
and is afraid of LeVar. I'd be mad also playing
in the NFL looking like LeVar, All that fame and
money still just pulls the most mid guys and girls.
He for sure is bisexual. Jonas don't even yes, Jonas

(17:16):
don't even even need to say anything about him fetal
alcohol syndrome, though his mother for sure drank with him.
Look at that head and eyes. What a whore? Mom?

Speaker 1 (17:27):
Oh my god, well done, Alex, well done. What as
you listen to the radio? You freaking weirdo.

Speaker 3 (17:47):
I'd like to push back on several items here.

Speaker 1 (17:49):
All right, my mom did not drink what I but
she was pregnant, Okay, and that's it. That's all I'd
like to push back. Everything else might be accurate. I
will push back on the call Joe Biden. I'm a
bag did that? I'm not call it Joe Biden. I
don't know if Joe Biden's AI is still running correctly.

Speaker 7 (18:11):
Right, I had no idea though. That's I'm baking.

Speaker 3 (18:17):
So from uh, from good to not good? Apparently the
the Browns have got got some things to figure out,
in particular with Jeremiah Wosukor Mora, who is going to
miss the entire season. Uh, they put him on the
reserve pup list. So he went down with the injury
last year.

Speaker 5 (18:38):
And now hit versus Derrick Henry, which, now that I
come to think of it, in the play because he
ended up getting carted off, pretty scary moment. It's surprising
that that doesn't happen to more players when you go
up against Derrick Henry.

Speaker 3 (18:50):
But yeah, I mean, he's a lawnmower. I want to
go back, I want to look at that hit again.

Speaker 1 (18:58):
I'm just I'm curious, like and seeing that loss. What
I mean, there's so much focus and attention on the
quarterbacks position Cleveland. Cleveland has for one turned into one
of the most talked about franchises. Yeah, I mean it
was bad. It was a bad one.

Speaker 3 (19:19):
I mean it wasn't like he lowered his head or anything.
It almost like he went to the side of the neck.

Speaker 1 (19:24):
I just I just wonder, you know, with all with
all the attention going towards the offense, and yeah, that
that hurt, Yeah, that'll hurt you. But I just I'm
just curious, like, what what is the what is the
ultimate outcome of this season if you are the Cleveland Browns,

(19:46):
Like obviously people say, yeah, we want to win the
super Bowl. We know that ain't happening. If you're the
Cleveland Browns with all this stuff right, he's now you know,
going on I R. You don't know who your quarterback
is going to be, and that could turn into a
really really messy situation before it's all sit and done.
What is the ultimate goal of this season if you're

(20:08):
the Cleveland Browns. Internally, it's it's the same as everyone else.
It's win every game, try to win the super Bowl.

Speaker 4 (20:14):
That stuff. I think.

Speaker 5 (20:16):
You know, you don't walk in and go, hey guys,
let's just give it our best and we'll see where
things work out.

Speaker 1 (20:22):
There's no one in the building that would be realistic,
like we're not winning the super Bowl this year.

Speaker 4 (20:27):
Like, who's ever realistic?

Speaker 7 (20:28):
It's never the case.

Speaker 3 (20:30):
Nobody tells the truth.

Speaker 1 (20:31):
I mean, somebody's got to get paid to look at
it from like, hey, look, look, Kevin, we know we
know what you're dealing with here, and we know we
know we're probably only going to get this many wins,
but can.

Speaker 7 (20:46):
You make it like look good?

Speaker 4 (20:49):
Cleveland was preparing for this you know this.

Speaker 5 (20:51):
This happened last year, I believe in Week eight and
when Jeremiah was here, Corbo missed the rest of the season,
and you kind of knew there was probably gonna be
a period of time where you're not even sure if
he can play again. They prepare for this. They drafted
Carson Swrushing during the second round this year, I believe,
out of UCLA, and they've addressed a lot of concerns

(21:12):
on the defense. They Simon lay Collins, they drafted Mason
Graham their first round pick, who's been throwing up apparently
in rookie Mini caamp into his helmet. But they've their
defense when healthy is kind of stacked, and they've got
some studs now and Jim Schwartz is a tremendous job
as their defensive play caller. I would go as far
as saying, maybe the most consistent piece of their team might.

Speaker 7 (21:34):
Be their defense this year.

Speaker 5 (21:38):
I mean, maybe the most consistent part of their team
last year was their defense. The bigger questions to me
are the quarterback, which you pointed out. I think their
one run game will be fine assuming the offensive line
stays healthy. But that group, then they had Quinn John Jenkins,
who's an absolute bolling ball of Dylan Samson, who was
great value to me in the fourth round this past year.

(21:58):
They already had Jerrome four from last year.

Speaker 7 (22:01):
Anyway.

Speaker 5 (22:01):
I mean they they've got a number of guys who
I think in the backfield can tote the rock and
carry the load. They've got mismatches like they've gotten Djoku.
But I love the Fanning kid they took in the
third round, Harold Fannin. Like both those guys, you look
at them out there at tight ends when you get
in those twelve personnel groupings, you can find mismatches with

(22:22):
their ability to kind of separate, get open fans more
of like a pass catching tight end. Very similar in
Joku when Joke's a little bigger, but they've got pieces
now they do. It's just it all really centers around
the quarterback position. But this is a big loss for
the defense because of the way they'd utilize Jeremiah.

Speaker 4 (22:40):
He was kind of like a slash player.

Speaker 5 (22:42):
You know, he could play out in space, you know,
almost like a hinge position, set an edge that way,
playoff and coverage. He can blitz, he can match up.
He does a lot of things really really well, and
so even though you draft swashing gear to replace them,
at least that spot that bob, you're maybe not getting
the same skill set out of that player, especially as

(23:03):
a rookie.

Speaker 3 (23:04):
He's wearing the Guardian cap on the play too and
going down with the neck issue.

Speaker 5 (23:09):
You know, it's funny too, I was. I was looking
at study. This is probably like a month ago. There
is no definitive data that shows the Guardian cap does
anything more than the helmet.

Speaker 7 (23:19):
Yeah, it's not going to help your neck well, and.

Speaker 5 (23:22):
That and that's and that's that's what no one talks
about being the biggest issue with concussions with head and
neck injuries in the NFL. Look I said on my
soapbox and talked about this before. I know, I'm not
a defensive player, so people don't want to like every
like listen to what I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (23:39):
The whole rugby style tackle.

Speaker 5 (23:43):
I think it's led to more guys having neck and
concussion issues than how it was previously previously. Taught m
your your spine is not in a strong position when
you expose the side of your head to a ball carrier,
either their shoulder, their knee, whatever, whatever it is. I mean,
even if they you know, they hit you accidentally, like

(24:06):
that sets up for a recipe for disaster. The strongest
point it's gonna be your forehead, so seeing what you hit,
your head up not down, but you're spine being in
a neutral position, or you're able to coil and hit
and drive your feet through, just how they taught in
the old days. And the problem is we feel like
we need to come up with solutions. This rugby style

(24:28):
tackles take the head out of the game. The problem
is when the head does get in the game, it's
more punitive than how it was before.

Speaker 1 (24:36):
M I'll just I'll say, you definitely are supposed to
see what what you make contact with. So when these
guys are like kneeling down and like bracing for the
hit to come, that's why you see guys leap over
them so many times or or other you know, you
see them get trucked, you know, truck sticked, and it

(24:58):
leads to something you know, just it's interesting, But I
don't know, I you know, I'll leave that, you know,
the whole tackling thing. I'm you know, I've always been
a tackling enthusiast, So I always say you slide your
eyes up, eyes go up, get your your chest on
on the shoulder. And you meet somebody who has shoulders,

(25:20):
that's their balance zone, attack their balance zone. That's generally
rule of thumb. I never met a man I couldn't take.

Speaker 3 (25:26):
Down, and it was always you you pinpoint the balance
area of that person, not the not the stable parts.
Like you're gonna hit a guy on the thigh, probably
won't do you any good the whole hit guys on
the on the hip, it probably won't do you that
much good. I mean, you might be able to get

(25:47):
them down, but it's not a guaranteed lock. So you
generally you gotta you gotta pinpoint the balance zone and
either the balance zone or the joints. And I've never
been one to tell anybody to play dirty where you'd
hit a knee or go for an ankle, So it's
always been aimed for the shoulder.

Speaker 7 (26:07):
But it is interesting when.

Speaker 1 (26:09):
You get backs as big as Derrick Henry and you
have all of these rules governing how you're supposed to
hit anymore. And I think we've had this conversation at
length so many times in terms of the indecision that
it creates with defenders. Now, granted you're not going to
have that indecision with a Henry, you know. But with

(26:31):
that being said, there are a lot of things that
are legislating the physicality of the game, you know, legislating
it out of the game, the physicality of it. And
I don't think that guys like you're saying the old
ways of learning, I don't think that there's even a
real attention to detail on the physicality preparation. You know,

(26:56):
what happens in practice. How often are you hitting? How
than are you practice and tackling, And for what it's worth,
you got to be able to at times tackle full
speed to execute what it is that you're learning in
your individual periods of time. So you know, there's a
lot of things that have changed about the game. But

(27:17):
you know it's set when you see that a guy
can't play or isn't going to play based upon getting
pliled down.

Speaker 3 (27:25):
You know, on the football field, shouldn't there be more
focus on not how to prevent concussions, how to treat them, because.

Speaker 7 (27:33):
It makes more sense.

Speaker 3 (27:34):
It's like it's gonna it's football, It's gonna happen. Like
you never hear a report from the NFL at the
end of the year when they come up with some
nickel and dime new kickoff strategy or new kickoff rule
that they say all concussions are completely wiped out. It's like, no,
they're just down okay, So like then the focus should
be on, all, right, we expect that there's going to
be concussions, how do we prevent this from happening further

(27:56):
or what do we do? And instead it's like, well,
we came out with a new helmet design, we came
out with the new guardian cap. We came out. It's
like it's gonna happen. And if there's no definitive evidence
that this is preventing concussions, and maybe more, the focus
should be on how you how you help the concussion
after you sustain it.

Speaker 1 (28:13):
Just feels like to me, which is obviously that continues
to be a large question, right, how do you treat
the brain? And again back to the guardian to the
guardian caps, like a guardian cat will absorb a blow
that comes to the head and disperse some of the

(28:34):
energy that that you know, transfers when you make contact
with your head. It dulls the blow, but it doesn't
stop your brain from from moving around in your head.
I mean it's like, you know, all these these preventative
measures to you know, keep people from getting injured, which

(28:55):
is great, but I mean the bottom line is is
that you're right. It is It's like, if you use
your head, there's a chance you could harm your brain.
So what do you do in terms of what happens
after versus what happens before, Because it's going to be
a part of what what the game is.

Speaker 3 (29:14):
Let's go live to our concussion analysts lead a lot
for the latestle.

Speaker 8 (29:18):
Have you guys seen this new viral, well, new championship
league called run It in Australia, run street.

Speaker 7 (29:24):
They run straight at each other.

Speaker 8 (29:25):
That's just a brutal contact sport.

Speaker 3 (29:27):
Yeah yeah, Lee, you should submit maybe a tape or
something get in there.

Speaker 1 (29:31):
Back in the day, it probably would have been they
get concussed quite often. Yeah, it's like every other person
gets killing a lot.

Speaker 3 (29:39):
Of brain cells. Anyway, Lee, I mean, what's a few more? Yeah, yeah,
why not? Absolutely? What is it called.

Speaker 8 (29:45):
It's called run it, but it stands for running streets.

Speaker 4 (29:49):
These guys look look like a freight train. Yeah, that's
what they look like.

Speaker 5 (29:52):
They're built like a freight train running in a straight
line for about ten yards. And I think there's rules
too where they can't deviate from the line or they
his points. But it's it's the it's the old What
was that drill? I mean it was basically the old
individual we.

Speaker 1 (30:08):
Saw that ego. We called it ego alley. But there
were at least two blockers or a blockers.

Speaker 4 (30:16):
You know, you never did the one when you laid
on your back home with a helmet.

Speaker 1 (30:18):
Turn around, you get up. We called those Oklahomas. Yeah,
we called those Oklahoma considered Oklahoma. I mean, some people
have different ways that Oklahoma's drills look, but we got
when you laid down head to head, roll up like
there's a ball carrier, there's a tackler.

Speaker 7 (30:34):
You roll up, you get up, you tackle. We called
it Oklahoma's in high school.

Speaker 1 (30:38):
But yeah, I mean this is worse than that because
they get a they get ahead of steam. It's a
literally a head start to run straight at the defender
and the defender has to try to stop like these
Matu follow malouth you know running it wasn't that his name.
Matu Malafala played for the Pittsburgh Steelers. You don't remember

(31:02):
how me ran hard is hell, but a lot of
them are Polynesian and and Samoan that are doing these
those those run it leagues, and they are they are
truck sticking one another. I mean it's like a concussion
every other every other attempt. Let me ask you guys
more likely to do run it or power slap? I

(31:26):
wouldn't do either one, Okay, if I'm not picking either one.

Speaker 5 (31:31):
I do power slap just so I could slap jonas well,
just so I could slap Jonas.

Speaker 3 (31:36):
I mean, I don't know why that has to turn
into that.

Speaker 5 (31:38):
I thought we were just say it just but here's
to see that grin that grid after he gets smacked.

Speaker 7 (31:47):
Grin or would he go to sleep?

Speaker 3 (31:48):
But well, here's the problem. If you if you lose,
if you lose the coin flip, if Brady lost the
coin flip, uh, he'd be staring at the lights.

Speaker 4 (31:58):
One shot because because you're a hand, one shot because
you're because you're a carnihand.

Speaker 7 (32:03):
Folks, well, because he's got the vampire hand.

Speaker 4 (32:06):
No, he's got that small hand.

Speaker 7 (32:07):
Might knock you through the wall. I don't know. Yeah,
that's what I'm talking about. Strange bro Oh yeah, strange.

Speaker 3 (32:16):
Strange. What about someone's running.

Speaker 7 (32:19):
Into each other and that's that's strange.

Speaker 3 (32:20):
But they're getting paid for that twenty bucks.

Speaker 7 (32:22):
I don't know. I think they just enjoy it.

Speaker 3 (32:25):
You know.

Speaker 5 (32:26):
What I appreciate is the people who sit in the
front row. I mean, there's a legitimate chance you could
have six hundred pounds of just absolute testosterone in your
lap in a heartbeat, and they don't care.

Speaker 1 (32:36):
Yeah, I mean I love it when they get like
all like scared and upset when somebody goes down. It's like,
what are you expecting? Like you're spectating this? What what?
What exactly are you expecting?

Speaker 7 (32:50):
What it comes to be?

Speaker 5 (32:51):
They're witnessing car crashes. That's essentially what it is. You
have a front row seat to a human car crash.

Speaker 1 (32:56):
But then you're you're surprising upset when one of them
don't get up.

Speaker 7 (33:01):
I don't get it.

Speaker 4 (33:02):
It's like, that's what you went there for.

Speaker 1 (33:03):
Somebody help them. What do you mean you could have
said that before he started running? It is two pros
and a cup of Joe.

Speaker 7 (34:07):
So it was.

Speaker 3 (34:08):
Reported yesterday from Sham Sharania of ESPN that Jannison Tetecumpo
is open minded to a future that does not involve
the Milwaukee Bucks. More open than ever, apparently based on
what has gone on there in Milwaukee the past few years.
They won a title in twenty twenty one. They've gotten close.

(34:31):
They've made a move and other moves. They brought in
Dame Lillard. He went down with the injury. His future
is uncertain at this point when it comes to his
return at his age and in Milwaukee next year. And
so Jannis has decided, you know what, maybe I would
be open to potentially moving on from the Milwaukee Bucks.
And so it wasn't a full blown trade. Demand felt

(34:53):
to me like more of a warning shot. And I'm
just you know, throwing this out there that you know,
I mean, all of a sudden, the Dallas Mavericks do
have the number one pick.

Speaker 1 (35:05):
Why did Lebron James post laughing emojis when he saw
that Dallas got the number one pick?

Speaker 5 (35:13):
You feel like it's repeating history like when Cleveland got it.
When when he was getting drafted. Do you feel like
did Cleveland have well, did Cleveland like how much what
percent chance did they have to take to get Lebron?

Speaker 3 (35:25):
I think I draft they were I think they were
the favorite. They're the worst team in all their favorite Yeah. Yeah,
but but Dallas they were the worst for like a
few years, right, Yeah, they were pretty bad during that time.

Speaker 5 (35:36):
But but like the favorite to get it has what
a fifteen percent chance? Twenty percent chance?

Speaker 3 (35:41):
Yeah, fourteen. I thought it was because there was three
teams yesterday they had like fourteen fourteen.

Speaker 4 (35:48):
That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 5 (35:48):
It's not like you have that gread of a chance
of getting Like even then even at fourteen, if you're
the favorite, it's still not that great of a chance
you're gonna.

Speaker 4 (35:55):
Be solidify as the number one overall pick. That's why
they do it obviously.

Speaker 3 (35:58):
But Lea saying Cleveland I had twenty two and a
half percent and they were talking the Nuggets at the time. Yeah, okay,
but it's still like, I don't know you to risk
it all for a twenty two percent chance.

Speaker 4 (36:10):
You'd like to be greater than a coin flip.

Speaker 3 (36:12):
So if you let me. If you were Milwaukee and
Yannis is like, man, this ain't work and I got
to get out of here, would that not be an
appealing possibility? Cooper Flag the number one pick in exchange,
send Jannis to Dallas and uh, you know, try and
redo that whole thing again.

Speaker 4 (36:32):
You'd want something even more in return. Yeah, you can
just be Cooper Flag. I mean, Giannis is an MVP.
He's proven. We still know what Cooper Flag is going
to be at the next level.

Speaker 7 (36:43):
That would be interesting though, if Jannis went to Dallas.

Speaker 3 (36:47):
If he okay, if Dallas wanted to keep the pick,
another team that I'd love to see him go to
if he was going to leave Milwaukee would be Houston,
because if you watched Houston in the playoffs, it was like, man,
they're seeing a star, a score, somebody that can get
a basket. Defensively, they've got the right mindset, but they
just couldn't find anybody that could get a basket. And Houston,

(37:11):
with the honest all of a sudden, becomes a legitimate
title contender.

Speaker 1 (37:14):
I mean, is that like even a fair fair deal
to have that many players on one team?

Speaker 7 (37:19):
Though?

Speaker 1 (37:21):
I saw almost like a if you have a healthy
Boston Celtics team, like it's a lot of that would
be a lot of players. So I feel like you
need a Yannis and in a place that isn't as
loaded as as Houston like it. I don't know, like

(37:47):
I'm trying to think is not.

Speaker 3 (37:49):
Really a star. I mean, Jalen Green's up and coming
Shane goon Is is really talented, but they don't have
so much of a star. Houston's low it man.

Speaker 7 (38:02):
I don't know. I mean, maybe that works, maybe that works.
I don't know. I don't know.

Speaker 3 (38:10):
But if you're the box, at least she got one title.

Speaker 1 (38:12):
If I'm young, askumpo like Dallas sounds pretty interesting. Onto Takumpo,
Dallas sounds interesting. That'd be the Texas team that I
would think, not Houston.

Speaker 7 (38:24):
But could be.

Speaker 1 (38:25):
I don't know.

Speaker 7 (38:25):
We'll see. Maybe the Lakers
