Speaker 1 (00:44):
Oh man, hoie please little sleepy boy. Hey breh, if
this makes you want to go to sleep, your cornball
just giving you heads up. Yeah, LeVar wants to make
it so you can't stand up. That's so, that's what
it was. There you go. I mean I'm not going
to be the one. I mean somebody listening to the

(01:06):
song with you that you want us to sit down, dance.
There you go, It's true. There you go. It is
kind of a smooth, sexy song that's off to Tolliver man. Huh,
very rotic. Okay, it's up Tolliver. Mm hmm. Clearly Loreina

(01:27):
doesn't like it either, because she phased that bad boy
out of there quick.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
That actually was just when it ended.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
Is it really? That was it? Damn? Yeah? It was
planned for a while. Stopped it before the good part. Yeah,
you're right. It does get to it, like you're there's
a better part. It picks up, Yeah, it does pick
back up. What a bummer? Oh that's okay. Well, it's
a smooth song. I like my little intro song. I
had to switch it up on you. I mean we

(01:53):
was backing it up, and we was raking it up,
and we was breaking it down. And then before that,
can you know, we was the it's something else this Yeah.

Speaker 4 (02:03):
Sure the next top of the next hour, someone may
have filled in for LeVar.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
That's all say. Why, oh.

Speaker 5 (02:11):
I thought, are we I thought they're going to start
changing songs at the same time, or we just pick
it and choose them when we decide.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
Well, take forever, so no one wants to wait on you.

Speaker 6 (02:18):
Well, I mean, because mine are so good that they
have stayed.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
You're saying the intro song to the next hour is
going to make me have to be replaced for the hour.
Or something else other What do you mean what was
I don't get it.

Speaker 5 (02:33):
No, it means like, uh, he picked up the slack
for your oh away from the oh.

Speaker 4 (02:41):
District certain genre. Yeah, you'll know as soon as you
hear it.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
As soon as you hear it, you'll go, yep, okay, okay, nice.
I'm excited for that. That's a hell of a tease.

Speaker 6 (02:52):
Well, it is two pros on.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
My last two songs. Oh yeah, we was on I
wasn't on the pole, but I definitely was giving people
pole assass and music. You know.

Speaker 6 (03:04):
Absolutely, she's married now.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
I mean her and a monkey. They're doing well in life.

Speaker 5 (03:11):
Wetho you're gonna get to interview Is he still in Texas?
Is he still the special teams guy in Texas? Whoever
married the pol assassin? I forget his name.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
I believe that's accurate.

Speaker 4 (03:22):
Yeah, I mean, I'm not sure why we'd interview him
but about his monkey.

Speaker 6 (03:26):
But yeah, he'll be there, point taking.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
All right.

Speaker 5 (03:36):
So Aaron Glenn has heard the rumblings about justin fields
and potential struggles in training camp. You know, hasn't looked
all that hot in preseason games, hasn't played a bunch,
but hasn't looked all that hot. And so Aaron Glenn
was talking yesterday about the maybe concerns with the member

(03:57):
of the media that asked the following question and went
like this, Obviously, it's.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
Very much a passing league. Is there any concern about
your ability to go down fields and whatnot?

Speaker 2 (04:06):
Say?

Speaker 1 (04:07):
Is it the passing league is passion. It's kind of
the team.

Speaker 7 (04:11):
That won the Super Bowl for there are in passing
twenty nine? Yeah, before there and running first defense. Obviously, Well,
we talked about offense.

Speaker 8 (04:21):
And then everything is falling down because we throw six passes,
you know. Then then then I mean, he's Johnny United
when we throw four passes, you know.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
So it bothers me and I laugh at it quite
a bit. But the thing is, I.

Speaker 8 (04:38):
Understand it because that's just that's the noise that happens
on the outside. That's how guys can't really listen to.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
It, entertainers versus competitors. Yeah, there you go. I mean,
it's New York. Oh, it is New York. Like I
thought it was a dope response per personally. I mean
a lot of people are lovers of Jalen Hurts. But
but let's be clear Sakwan Barkley had one of the
greatest years, if not the greatest year as a running

(05:07):
back for that team. They were a running team they
wanted to ban. They want to ban a running play.
There's no passing player saying they want a band for that.
The Philadelphia Eagles came up with, I mean, there's there's
some truth to what Aaron Glenn alluded to after he
was asked that question. But with that being said, I

(05:29):
don't think Justin Fields is the guy you get have AQ.
With that being said, I'm gonna just say this, I
do not feel like you should be confident thinking that
at this point you're going to have a balanced attack
with Justin Fields as your hit as your quarterback. I mean, well,
time will tell. I mean, I wouldn't read too much

(05:50):
into all this.

Speaker 4 (05:50):
Like we talked about this before. This is one of
the things I hate about preseason. No one knows what
they're trying to work on in practice. They don't know,
you know, what they're true trying to get out of
a certain drill.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
So they read into everything.

Speaker 4 (06:03):
And I'd like to give Justin Fields the benefit of
the doubt, give them the chance to grow and see
what they can become. This's a talented roster if they
can call players that play to his strength. And even
if that's not being balanced that you talked about, and
he's not throwing the football forty fifty times a game.
I don't think that's the strength of any team, but
let alone one. If he's playing for it, then that works.

(06:24):
But let him run a few times a game, let
him throw the football round and you know guys like
Garon Wilson will go out and make plays.

Speaker 1 (06:31):
I mean, you gotta believe right that Justin Fields. One
thing we do know is he's at his best when
he's on the move. And if I'm Aaron Glenn and
I'm looking at my personnel, I can run the ball.
I mean, he's got a hell of a offensive front
and he's got Breece Hall. Breece is a beast. He's

(06:53):
a beats. So you do have running capabilities, and you
got a flunk of receiver. You don't have to go deep.
Them cats is running routes. Those cats are running routes.
And what Justin Fields has proven to us when he
was at Ohio State. And I know this is college
versus the pros, but when you have a flunk of

(07:14):
talent around you. Justin Fields was very very good and
efficient at what he was doing. I think if you're
limiting the chances that he has to take with good
route running or just flat out better athletes, and you
can balance that out with a really, really strong, strong
offensive line where you can establish the run. I think

(07:36):
Aaron Glenn is putting his money down on the fact
that I can move Justin Fields around, I can run
that RPO style, that RPO style of offense, and it's going
to be effective for them. And like the guy said,
and play defense. That's the formula that got them his
head coaching job. They did that, they're doing that in Detroit.

(07:59):
I don't see Aaron Glenn approaching it any differently. So
it's a minimalistic approach to what his quarterback is going
to do anyway, even though Jared go has shown that
he is a he's an elite type of quarterback in
the situation he's been in in Detroit. But still I
think that they're going to manage the expectation of what
they want from their quarterback in terms of what he's

(08:21):
supposed to do and throwing the ball.

Speaker 5 (08:23):
Anyway, If Justin Field struggles and at the same time,
Aaron Rodgers looks good in Pittsburgh, it's going to be
a feeding frenzy and Aaron Glenn's going to be asked
about it. And he didn't coach Aaron, but he was
there when he and he was the guy who told
Aaron Rodgers, we don't want you, like we're going to
go in another direction.

Speaker 1 (08:43):
I feel like that's more off field than it is
on field.

Speaker 5 (08:46):
In essence, they chose Justin Fields over Aaron Rodgers. So
if Justin Fields continues to struggle and Rodgers looks really
good in Pittsburgh and they're gonna we're gonna see week want.

Speaker 1 (08:57):
To It's just to me that's a hardcore to make,
like because I.

Speaker 4 (09:01):
Think because like Rogers talked about in Aaron Glenn said
even want them.

Speaker 1 (09:05):
The reason why I think it's a hard correlation is
because I believe Aaron Glenn was basically like anything that
could be confusing or or just take away from what
the focus is on just being football in and out
in the media, in the locker room, on the field,
I want to remove it and look at who his

(09:27):
backup is. Ty Rod Taylor has brought in to be
a backup, right, he was it last year. Well kept
there to be a backup. They they clearly want guys
that have multiple abilities at that position. That's clearly what
they're thinking. They want a mobile quarterback. That's not Aaron Rodgers.

(09:48):
So regardless of the reasons why he may have gotten
rid of them, one, I think it's the quiet the noise.
Now if Aaron Rodgers is still there, there's a ton
more noise going on in New York. But then secondly,
schematically speaking, I think what Aaron Glenn is coming in
there to do with his staff, it doesn't fit the
skill sets of what Aaron Rodgers brings to the table.

(10:09):
And clearly his skill sets didn't work. Whatever it is
they thought they were doing with Aaron Rodgers in New York,
maybe it worked a little bit last Year'll y'all throw
out his stats and what it was they stunk. I
don't care y'all throw out his stats. What he did
last year towards the end of season. They stunk, And
you can tell Groc that I'm telling y'all that they stunk.
But I'm gonna go with we.

Speaker 4 (10:31):
Here's the problem with everything that you're saying, okay, is
You're only saying this where like people be like, oh, okay,
if things don't go on Pittsburgh, that's not what Jonah said.
He said, if things go well in Pittsburgh.

Speaker 1 (10:43):
I get what you're saying. Well, again, what you just.

Speaker 4 (10:46):
Said doesn't matter, because what he's saying is if things
do go on Pittsburgh, and if the Jets do struggle,
people are gonna look back at this and go, all right,
let's just list off the poor decisions made before you
ever got on the football field. The coach a team
you got rid of Aaron Rodgers, which now it looks
he looks good in Pittsburgh. Mind you playing for a
lot less and you took a significant salary cap hit

(11:07):
just to move on from him. You keep referring to
this offense of what this offense is. Aaron Glen's defensive,
defensive minded coach. He comes from a team with the
Detroit Lions, who had a lot of success with Ben Johnson.
Oh yeah, he's balanced, but he likes to sling the
football around with Jared Goff. So Tanner Ingstrom, who now
is their offensive coordinator, who's got no experience at the
NFL level. He's thrust in a position to be what like,

(11:31):
we don't know what his identity is as a play caller,
so you know, you hope he watched his strength that
they're going to run over. Yeah, because maybe I don't
feel as confident throwing the football right, it's a different situation, yes, So,
but what I'm saying is there's no doubt if this
doesn't work out well, and things do work out in Pittsburgh,

(11:52):
it's common sense to think people are gonna look back
and be like, dude, you could have had Rogers for
like another year.

Speaker 1 (11:56):
It's that could have been Aaron Rodgers. There. I'm not
disagreeing with y'all. So that's an easy conclusion to come to.

Speaker 5 (12:02):
But it's gonna start week one because they're gonna see
each other because they play each other.

Speaker 4 (12:06):
So if it looks bad week one, you better believe
that's not a good store.

Speaker 1 (12:10):
Especially in the New York media market. If things don't
go well, it's an easy layup of a headline and
and people who can run with that. That's how it
plays out. I get it. But again, I think the
reasoning that I'm giving is sound reasoning. It sound like, yeah,
it's common sense to say, oh, Aaron Rodgers went here,
he's playing well, then attack the green Bay Packers while

(12:30):
you're at it, please, Like, who cares why green Bay?

Speaker 4 (12:34):
Jordan Loves played really well. Yeahs is gonna pick him
win a Super Bowl this year? At least go to one.

Speaker 1 (12:39):
Bottom line is they got rid of them. They don't
want them in Green Bay. Get out of here. You're
in New York. They don't want you to get out
of here. Listen, at this point, he's at the end
of his career. If you don't feel confident in what
you're going to get from him for one year's time
and you move on from him, I don't think that
that comes back is oh my gosh, he got rid

(13:00):
of Aaron Rodgers at least in Pittsburgh. Depends how far
Pittsburgh goes.

Speaker 5 (13:07):
Be saying that at least Green Bay had a succession plan,
like there was a plan in place and they were
grooming Jordan Love to be the guy. Aaron Glenn came
in and basically told Aaron Rodgers, you know, take a
walk and we're going to go in another direction. And
they bring in Justin Fields and so they've they made
the choice. Otherwise, Rogers wanted to stay in New York.
He wanted to be a Jet. He was under contract,

(13:30):
like he wanted.

Speaker 1 (13:30):
To understand all of that. Then they did not want him.
And if he gets one good year out of Pittsburgh,
if that's what people want to ride on the narrative
of what Aaron Rodgers does in Pittsburgh versus what's going
on in New York, I think that's lazy. It's lazy.

Speaker 6 (13:48):
What do you put their place?

Speaker 1 (13:50):
It doesn't matter because you don't know what. All we
know is that Aaron Rodgers did not win in New York.
That's what we know. That's what we know. Aaron Rodger
did not win in New York, and Aaron Glenn was
not his coach. He gets hurt the first year, so
I'll okay, throw that out the window. He gets hurt
too early to say he wasn't He wasn't playing long

(14:11):
enough to make that that assessment. But he did play
the next year and they weren't good. They didn't break
double digits and wins with Aaron Rodgers. So don't give
me no bs about him. Oh he's this this world
beater and now he's in Pittsburgh playing great da da
da this that and the other So what he didn't
do it in New York?

Speaker 6 (14:32):
Would you rather have Justin Fields Aaron Rodgers?

Speaker 1 (14:36):
But that ain't what you asked me. Stick sticks, Yeah,
it's not what you asked you go, that's not what
you You know.

Speaker 4 (14:41):
What's interesting too about your theory on the running like
which again based on the personnel. They've got some guys
to throw to. Do you know what ten orings from
Strand was at in Detroit last year because he brought
him from Detroit with him.

Speaker 1 (14:53):
He did bring him out. I don't what was he
the passing game, passing game court, passing game, not run game,
passing game court. Sure you got all that talent. Listen
with that offensive line, they might be one of the
top offensive lines in the league. They might they might
develop into that, they might establish that this year. They've

(15:15):
done They've done some pretty good drafting. They have a
really to me the potential. Yeah, yeah, I like Olu.

Speaker 9 (15:23):
I like okay, I meant guy now, no, no, no,
they've been building their offensive line.

Speaker 1 (15:31):
Their offensive line doesn't look bad. I look bad. Oh, Lou.
You got Simpson. I don't know where he's from. You
got Tipman. I think he was originally from Clebson. Okay,
but he gave a Baltimore ver Tucker. That's name brand
name Tucker. Yeah, some name brand names that with some injuries,

(15:51):
doesn't he He's going to be fine. There is a
big ass offensive line. It's a physical right tackle that's
should be good. But you're starting a rookie. I think
they're going to establish themselves as a really, really fine
offensive line this year. That's what I believe in what
I see from this, this offensive line heading into this
and if they don't, and if they don't, and if

(16:13):
they don't, they're in trouble. If they don't, then they
listen here. That's any team for one. Some teams can
do in spite of because of how schematically strong they
are in the type of quarterback that they have. But
if this team in particular does not have great offensive
line play, it will not work because it's all about movement.

(16:37):
It's going to I can guarantee it's going to be
all about movement. This will not be a classic stand up,
stand in the pocket passing quarterback offense. I do not
see it being that. It is going to be a
ton of movement and it's going to be about them
winning up front that that's going to clear up lanes

(16:57):
for the receivers by by justin fields time he has
multiple decisions, can I do I want to throw here?
Or do I want to tuck it and run? I
think that that's what they're going to base this year's
offense off of not a stand up throwing quarterback like
Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 4 (17:15):
Now, can this offensive line overcome dysfunction? Because okay, no,
so if they're not good, we'll just get a blame
him on dysfunction.

Speaker 1 (17:24):
I mean, that's that's the that's the original that is
the original point. The original point is again, if they're
pretty good. I think it says something about the idea
of maybe the familiarity of Aaron Glenn because he played there.
Maybe there's a maybe there's been enough shaming of Johnson

(17:47):
to this point where he allows for for Aaron Glenn
to legitimately be able to do things the way that
he wants to do. And the biggest part of that, Bye,
by the way, and the biggest part of that I
would say, is is Johnson's presence and his cronies and
his kids, their presence on what's going on with the team.

(18:10):
I mean, I think that's going to be the major part.

Speaker 6 (18:12):
Of Justin Field is probably great.

Speaker 1 (18:14):
And Madden, Dang.

Speaker 4 (18:15):
I was just gonna ask you, can you go to
Madden and see what the offensive lines ranked, because that
would be a syn indication.

Speaker 5 (18:21):
Ay Lee, what are the Madden rankings if you don't mind?
Between Rogers and Justin Fields? Do they have old line rankings?
We got a finger up, speaking of which, I gotta
go ahead, and I've.

Speaker 4 (18:33):
Been changing up by the way, the search engines like
this chat GBT, there's grock.

Speaker 1 (18:38):
The perplexity is actually a really good one too.

Speaker 4 (18:41):
But there's there's so many out there, and the problem
is half this stuff isn't accurate because it's not updated.
Like I've got two players on the Jets offensive line.

Speaker 1 (18:52):
Harn't even there anymore? Who is it?

Speaker 6 (18:57):
Alan Fanica?

Speaker 1 (18:59):
Yeah, they only do player ratings. It doesn't look like
they do team rating. It's only player for offensively what
do we look at that here?

Speaker 6 (19:09):
What have we got?

Speaker 1 (19:11):
Yeah?

Speaker 10 (19:11):
Well, hold on, did you want the quarterback ratings? I
know you said the quarterback ratings? Okay, give me a second.
So all right, so I'm looking up Justin Fields and
Aaron Rodgers. Hold on, stand by.

Speaker 1 (19:22):
This good stuff.

Speaker 6 (19:23):
I know, sorry greatly all.

Speaker 10 (19:25):
Right, Justin Fields has got an overall seventy four speed
ninety two, strength sixty five, agility ninety three. All right,
awareness is at sixty or and then.

Speaker 1 (19:36):
Where it's not good.

Speaker 3 (19:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (19:38):
The first offensive lineman that pops up in the rat
Madden Ratings is at number seventy and that's that's membo?
Is that how you say it? Member? He's a rookie though,
how could he? They have him ranked at forty three
and he's the only one you see so far out
of forty three lineman being rated. Uh Lee rookies, oh

(20:02):
lose fifty three? How can you have a rookie higher
than I don't know. I'm just looking at the Madden rating.
So so I've got this off Madden.

Speaker 4 (20:12):
It's saying Tipmans seventy three, Vera Tuckas eighty members like
seventy seven. I show they got there, John Simpsons eighty two.

Speaker 1 (20:21):
So I don't know this one has I'm just greeting
off what it's when you search on are using Gemini?
Used do in general Google? I'm on Maddenratings dot com.
You know, I'm very careful on these things because of
your ass. I'm on Madden ratings as you should be,
as you should be. Hey, listen here, I heard it

(20:42):
washing your ass. I heard watching it. I heard her
saying yesterday it made me think of washing that ass.
I heard you say. I heard it saying, it says,
when facts interfere with my beliefs, I don't give a damn.
I'm going with what I believe in. All right, Lee
playing the role.

Speaker 6 (20:59):
Damn your facts, Q, Lee playing the role.

Speaker 1 (21:02):
I have OKA four at seventy nine, so they did
get three in the top one.

Speaker 5 (21:06):
Hundred old on Lee's playing the role of brick Woody
johns Son OKA four.

Speaker 6 (21:11):
Is that you said, Aaron Rodgers ratings on Madden Lee
or what?

Speaker 1 (21:14):
Well?

Speaker 10 (21:14):
He's overall seventy six with the seventy seven speed is
awareness is at seventy seven, speeds at seventy seven.

Speaker 1 (21:22):
Let's see fifty nine strength? Whose speed is at seventy
What's what? Why are you complicated? This is what's the overall?

Speaker 5 (21:28):
It's seventy seventy six, I says, versus what's seventy four
versus seventy?

Speaker 1 (21:35):
Right? Was it just justin? I mean, Lee, we don't
have to break down every attribute on Madden.

Speaker 10 (21:42):
I know that, I know that seventy four for for
you got Aaron Rodgers speed at in the seventies.

Speaker 5 (21:49):
Yeah, so based on sneaky quick, sneak bsy so based
on the on the Jets scouting department. Uh, they've already
made a mistake moving on from a seventy and Madden
for a seventy four already off.

Speaker 4 (22:02):
It's not words, that's not our words, LeVar. That comes
from their own research.

Speaker 1 (22:06):
Well, hopefully the sons of the owner of the Jets
and the owner of the Jets will maintain what the
respectful level of distance. It's from what's going on personal wise,
personnel wise on the field.

Speaker 5 (22:23):
I mean, that might be why the Steelers are favored
at the Jets in Week one.

Speaker 1 (22:28):
It can happen. We saw it happen when the ownership
changed in Washington. It can happen where a culture shift
can actually lead to great results in one year's time.
You don't even believe that. I just I don't believe
Woody Johnson can do it. No, because you who you are.

(22:51):
I don't believe Whatody Johnson can do it.

Speaker 4 (22:54):
For some I'm on EA's site and it's it's Madden
twenty six. You twenty six, okay, Elijah verit Tucker at
eighty four.

Speaker 1 (23:04):
I'm gonna send you the link, bro, I got you.

Speaker 4 (23:06):
I'll send you this one too, all right, letsa send
you all the John Simpson. I don't know where you
got Membu from.

Speaker 1 (23:12):
He's a rookie. There's no defensive lineman on Madden twenty six.
Madden Ratings. I just read them joints off. Now you
look at what I'm looking at, and you can take
it up with Madden Ratings dot com. Okay. And then
this is EA dot com, EA Sports, who makes the game.
This is their own website, all right, brouh, let me

(23:32):
take it up with them. It's got the it's got
the NFL shield on it and everything. Y'all can kisch
myself a real sight. It's not a real site. It's
Madden Ratings dot com. If that's the it's not sports site.
I'm mislad. You're a mislad. All of us out there
are mislad that type. Then Madden Ratings and it takes

(23:54):
you to Madden Ratings dot com and the first thing
you say, see is the NFL l shield. Who makes
the game, Arts that's the name of the company right
here or whatever. There you go, you drive right over here.

Speaker 4 (24:12):
Yeah, when you're going to South ben you're getting all
BROI yeah, I do get bread.

Speaker 1 (24:16):
Bro Bro. Let's get some tacos.

Speaker 6 (24:19):
Bro is over and.

Speaker 11 (24:20):
It's something like that, like heading over towards Washing uh
to like it's over between I thought, Marina del Rey, Yes, yes.

Speaker 1 (24:31):
Yes, yeah, yeah, you're right, uh huh yeah, that's what
I've seen it before in the office over there, because
you were you were going to the NFL network, you were, oh,
or NFL network, Yeah, NFL network from the South Bay.
If you go there, you go past Debt Wilder and
then you go Dot wild however day call and then
you go take that little back to get to Washington,
da da da Is that yeah, it's right there? Nice. Yeah.

(24:54):
I want to say el segundo. By the way, that'll
be wrong. By the way.

Speaker 4 (24:56):
I love how the Eagles have two of the top
three off offensive lineman. I want to say their entire
look at their their entire offensive line I think is
in like the top forty or fifty players.

Speaker 1 (25:09):
I think it's interesting though, that you know this is
going to be a topic and it's going to be
a fun topic because they are going to play Week one.
We don't even have to wait long to have some
real dramatic conversations about these two teams and these two quarterbacks. Yep.
And don't they just combine this for team rankings. It's weird.

(25:31):
I'm curious too. I'm curious they should. I'm curious as
to who has a bigger burr? Is it Aaron Rodgers bigger, biggest,
bigger burr? Burr on their back? Burr? You know, burr?
You know what a burr is? No? You know, like yeah, yeah,
they have like seeds in them, like they protect the seeds.

(25:53):
Bur burr, like you can get them in you're and
you're you're from Ohio like a cack tire. So many
times no, no, no, no, no, they're like, uh a burr.
I don't know. They're like brown and they they can
prick you and they're I see it now, I'm looking
it up. They can. Uh. It's like I said, it's
a football. You never heard that football term? You got it?
You got to have a burr. You gotta have a burr,

(26:14):
you know, I gotta have a burrow on your back.
You know, you got who's got the biggest bur neverard,
I'm old man, Maybe my my terminology is skipped a
generation or two. But I'm wondering is it Aaron Rodgers
or Justin Fields because if if if I'm looking at
this properly, I one think it's Justin Fields, because I

(26:35):
think he feels like he got that. If anybody got
the biggest shaft, it was definitely Justin Fields.

Speaker 6 (26:41):
Oh he chose, he chose.

Speaker 1 (26:44):
Yeah. But but yeah, that's that's a description. Pause. Yeah,
because he got bench for Russell Wilson. Why would I
want to come back? Wanted him back? And then y'all
offer me this little crappy contract, and and y'all bench
me for us, y'all going bench me for.

Speaker 5 (27:04):
I think he's making more money than Rogers this year, right,
you left? Rogers should have the bigger burr on his
back or in his saddle, whatever the term I mean.

Speaker 1 (27:14):
I did say a wonder.

Speaker 6 (27:17):
Well, I do know this.

Speaker 5 (27:17):

Speaker 1 (28:22):
On that thing. I didn't have my finger on the trigger. Damn.

Speaker 5 (28:28):
Big news in the world of college football. Yes, big news.

Speaker 1 (28:33):
What is it?

Speaker 6 (28:36):
We got a brand new starting quarterback in South Bend.

Speaker 1 (28:39):
That's what we got CJ. Carr.

Speaker 6 (28:43):
Let's does that last name sound familiar?

Speaker 1 (28:48):
Yeah, to car his grandfather, Lloyd Carr. Oh ho ho, Hold,
don't get carried away. I mean I love indeed, but
don't don't do that. Yeah, don't do that. I am
an ND fan. I am rooting for he gets the nod.
Nephew year, my nephew on that team. You know what
I mean, nephew on that team.

Speaker 5 (29:09):
He is now the starting quarterback for the Notre Dame
fighting Irish nice. Is there any surprising element to this,
Brady or is this where it was kind of headed?

Speaker 4 (29:19):
Look of the coaches know how how tight this quarterback
race was. It was well reported that both c. J.
Carr and Kenny Minshew were neck and neck. Some thought
I was going to go the other way.

Speaker 1 (29:29):
Is there any relation to Gardner what you said? The
dude's name is Minshew Minshe? Yeah, I thought Kenny Minshew
for some reason.

Speaker 9 (29:40):
No, right, there's there So there's no no, there's no no, not,
that's not not now that I heard it correctly.

Speaker 1 (29:49):
Yeah. Well, and even then, if you saw the two,
the relation there either oh oh he's black, Well I
didn't Yeah, he's black and Gardner Minshew, isn't.

Speaker 4 (29:59):
I was actually a into the mustache, Minshew, but you
know you had to go that direction.

Speaker 1 (30:05):
No, it was.

Speaker 4 (30:06):
It was a tight quarterback race, and honestly, you know,
I don't I don't know behind the scenes that thought
process to it.

Speaker 1 (30:14):
You know, CJ.

Speaker 4 (30:15):
Carr comes in as a redshirt freshman, so he's got
plenty of runway. But when there's tight quarterback races like that,
you always wonder, you know, on the road to start
the season versus Miami, which is a really good team,
you know, how he's going to handle it, how they're
going to handle it, if he makes some mistakes, If
it was tight enough with us, say hey, maybe let's
put Kenny in. You know, sometimes we make We have

(30:37):
these quarterback battles that got drawn out for a while,
and you always wonder, you know, how tight things are
once you get into the season, like is the battle
really over or is he just now the guy that
gets the first crack at it.

Speaker 1 (30:51):
You know what's interesting is like moments like these, right
because now I'm looking up Minschi and he is black,
by the way, nice to hear what a black?

Speaker 5 (31:02):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (31:03):
How does this like? Because I think about last year,
what happened with what happened with our quarterback situation? I mean,
does this lead to a heading into the playoffs? Say
Notre Dame does what they're supposed to do, they head
into the playoffs. You got a declaration that I'm I'm transferring,

(31:28):
you know, I'm I'm hidding somewhere else Like this totally
sets the stage for that type of conversation. Well, that's
one of.

Speaker 4 (31:34):
The reasons why I hate the college football calendar and
why they even allow there to be, you know, a
window at that time of year. But you're right, I mean,
by the way, behind Kenny Minshee now that he's labeled
as the number two, is Blake Herbert, who's a true freshman.
Then you've got Tyler Buckner, remember him, he had started
versus Ohio State a few years back, transferred to Alabama,

(31:58):
lost that starting quarterback job, transferred back to Notre Dame
as a wide receiver. Now he's adding some value there
is you know, quarterback, some depth, there holder all these
different things.

Speaker 1 (32:10):
So I see the screens going out again. So Jonas
has to way to go.

Speaker 5 (32:18):
There's just there's got to be a better way to
Christ's got to be a setting on there somewhere, or.

Speaker 1 (32:24):
Maybe we get like a long stick. Can I suggest that? Look,
I got it. There we go, I got I'm gonna
take care of this. Hey, LeVar brought one from home.
Don't worry. Hold on, hold on, hold on a second,
all right, next time?

Speaker 4 (32:40):
Is there not a way to just connecting a camera
and that way you could put the computer next to
Lebar and Jonas and it would it would show them
from the camera, but you could, you know, just toggle
it to wake it up.

Speaker 10 (32:53):
I'm not I'm not exactly sure the question there. I
have a couple of cameras set up there. I have
one that does not hibernate. That's one that's recording. So
that's good, Lee.

Speaker 1 (33:03):
The cameras don't hybrid. It's what they're doing, what you're
asking me. But here's the answer that I'm gonna they're
connected to.

Speaker 4 (33:10):
So like, if I take a camera, will you connect
it in the back end of the computer. There's a
cord that you can actually have that's rather long, so
you can set up the camera further away, but you
can set the computer up close to Jonas.

Speaker 3 (33:24):
They don't want the computer that close to you, guys,
they don't want the shop.

Speaker 1 (33:29):
I can I see two computers right now?

Speaker 10 (33:31):
Yeah, but then if okay, I can show you where
the computer would be so that you can see what
I'm talking.

Speaker 1 (33:35):
There's three of them up here too, by the way,
I understand.

Speaker 4 (33:38):
But all all you have to do is have one
that sits there that you just talk a little bit.

Speaker 1 (33:43):
It could be it could be there. This is a
really easy fix that you.

Speaker 10 (33:46):
Okay, somebody, but they're gonna be mad at me for
doing it, but I'll do it for you right now.

Speaker 1 (33:50):
Oh boy, they are going to be mad. Comes look, Harry,
comes I angryly.

Speaker 4 (33:59):
I don't Harry excited after a few drinks.

Speaker 5 (34:04):
They're going to be just so he could paint the picture.

Speaker 1 (34:10):
He's wearing a lee.

Speaker 4 (34:12):
How long is the cord to that computer? Jonas, can
you tell me? Since he's not on the mic?

Speaker 1 (34:20):
The tail from our bandage point six footer?

Speaker 4 (34:25):
Okay, go find a ten foot cord. You can put
it down on a desk next to you. He doesn't
have to be standing.

Speaker 1 (34:29):
Up like that. M hmm. But it takes Lee a
while to get back and forth here. Now, Oh that's going.
He's he's struggling right now. He's pinned. Oh, yes, to
find the longer cord.

Speaker 5 (34:41):
He's for people that just so we can paint the picture.
Lee's trying to figure this out on the fly. He's
wearing a Nickelodeon doubledare shirt and he's he seems like
he's on the brink of violence, is what it feels like.

Speaker 1 (34:56):
Who's Paul Bayer Bear? Oh? That guy right there? He
said Penn State will absolutely not win win it all?
Fine bomb. Oh, but I don't know why they got Paul.

Speaker 6 (35:13):
Bear is the undertaker.

Speaker 1 (35:14):
Okay, so they're they're labeling him as as the Bear
managers giving college football picks. They put Paul Bear underneath.
I guess it's because his name is.

Speaker 5 (35:26):
Paul fine ball beano cook while he's at.

Speaker 1 (35:29):
Hey, don't do that guy man anyone other than the
SEC team. He put Ohio State and Penn State as
will absolutely not win win it all. Kiss my ass,
the old ass ball headed dude. Slap that bald spot

(35:50):
stick to other other teams. Talk about other teams, Lee,
Penn State, out your mouth. You don't never had nothing
nice to say about Penn State. Let's go on here.

Speaker 4 (36:03):
By the way, now I can't even see Jonas because
Lee knocked the camera over.

Speaker 2 (36:10):
That's the whole thing.

Speaker 5 (36:11):
I wish people, I wish people could understand how a
stream yard slash zoom link has completely turned the show
upside down. Yeah, it just stained happening. Well, as long
as you can hear us, that's what matters. And Lorain
is doing a fine job at getting us on the air. Oh,
thank you.

Speaker 1 (36:31):
That a way right, Ron. We got to get out
of here though, come on, let's go. We got to
get off the air. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (36:35):
Well, before we get off the air, though, let's talk
about some that's good. Sleep starts with a good mattress.
I trust the mattress from Sleep Experts to find the
perfect mattress from their premium selection. It's way easier than
Lee trying to figure out all this technology. So if
the great sleep you deserve, there's a mattress firm during
the best sale of the year.

Speaker 1 (36:51):
They make sleep easy, not like technology.

Speaker 5 (36:54):

Speaker 2 (37:44):
Of course, there are some good things that happen, and
there's some bad, and then there's some downright ugly things.
It's time for good, bad.

Speaker 6 (37:55):
And lovely all right, lead to laugh, who's got what?

Speaker 1 (37:58):
Well?

Speaker 3 (37:58):
As we do each sin every Wednesday, we start with
the good. In this week, Jonas is delivering the goods.

Speaker 5 (38:03):
College Football's back, all right, I don't want to hear
anybody be dismissive about the slaty games that they call
quote unquote week.

Speaker 6 (38:09):
Zero, give a little bit of love.

Speaker 5 (38:12):
We've got the Ireland game, We've got the main event
with Stanford and Hawaii. You've got a lot of action
going on in college football this weekend. And these may
not be teams that are gonna be competing for a
national title, but it still counts. It's still real, and
it's here after all these months off.

Speaker 3 (38:29):
Can have good without the bad, Brady, what was bad
this week?

Speaker 4 (38:32):
Well, the first thing that comes to mind is obviously
the issues you're having with the technology.

Speaker 1 (38:36):
That's the first thing.

Speaker 4 (38:37):
But I'm gonna look past that, Lee, Let's go to
just some of the reactions off of like what we're
seeing in preseason. We've talked at length this week. It's preseason.
It gives you some indication, but there's really no correlation
to the regular season. Can we just enjoy that we've
got football, We've got the ability to watch some of
these games, see some of our favorite college players play
in the NFL. See some of our favorite players actually

(39:00):
play in the preseason. Like, can we not complain about
whatever it is, whether it's you know how little your
guy plays the fact that it's preseason. I mean, guys
will complain about the fact that Jane Daniels taking out
hit when he shouldn't be. Can we just enjoy it,
cal We just love the game of football, we love
so much, and not have to complain about it.

Speaker 3 (39:18):
And from bed to worst, LeVar, what was ugly?

Speaker 1 (39:21):
Ah Man? You know, I hate to do it because
I know her, and she's a fine young lady and
has done some amazing things both on the basketball court
and media. But it's it was ugly. She has not
appeared back on First Take since it took place, But
you got to at least know what Sanders you're referencing

(39:45):
when you reference a jersey on live television and you're hosting.
You know, obviously ESPN has come under some controversy on it,
and Monica McNutt, you know, she she missed on She
saw Drew ski on on First Take with Steven A
and uh, well, drewski was wearing a Barry Sanders jersey backwards,

(40:07):
but it was Barry Sanders, not your door Sanders. Yeah,
bad timing, not perfect
