get can we talk about something sort of unplanned here?
Because I am astonished at this. These papers here are
(01:50):
what Lorena brought in to the studio during the break
because she wanted to study up and be more knowledgeable
on the NFL this season. And so I give her credit,
like she wants, like, yeah, I just I kind of
want to know a little bit more about, you know,
each quarterback and what we're talking about here. So she
did a Google It was as a Google search.
Speaker 3 (02:09):
You know.
Speaker 5 (02:10):
It actually started just with my brain what teams I knew,
and then I just typed in quarterback twenty twenty five
and I went through each team, so like yeah, like
Denver Broncos quarterback twenty twenty five, Bonnicks, And so it
gives you the name and all the players photos. You
know I did that.
Speaker 4 (02:28):
Most of these are are correct. Jalen Hurts, I didn't
know his last name ended with the Z. It could
that changes?
Speaker 6 (02:38):
Uh that changes a rental car company?
Speaker 4 (02:41):
Now that that changes that?
Speaker 7 (02:45):
But what it could rent cars or he could be
the quarterback for the Eagles.
Speaker 4 (02:49):
What's what's interesting about this though, is that there's two
Dak Prescott's and neither one of them are Dak Prescott.
One is a white guy. I think it's Will Grear
and the other is Trey Lance from a year ago.
That were two years.
Speaker 1 (03:06):
Both white guys. Huh, you are a funny dude that much.
I mean, was that sneak shade? What are you talking about,
bron This is white?
Speaker 4 (03:17):
Helme it on.
Speaker 3 (03:20):
White?
Speaker 4 (03:22):
And Lareena is like no, I think it's just the
shade of the picture. Like no, No, Like one's number fifteen,
one's number nineteen. That's not Dak Prescott, he's either Kai.
Speaker 1 (03:31):
So, but you do know they're not both white. Jonas Like,
what did you say they're both white?
Speaker 4 (03:36):
I didn't say they're both, right, I said you did?
Speaker 3 (03:38):
You said both of them were white?
Speaker 4 (03:40):
No, I said Will Greer. One's a white guy, Will Greer,
and the other guy's not him is Trey Lance.
Speaker 7 (03:46):
And you said both white guys.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
Yeh, I'm certain I heard all that Jonahs sitting there.
I mean, you need the white bear mouth and clear
your ears.
Speaker 7 (03:55):
Hey, Okay, here's what we're doing.
Speaker 6 (03:56):
We're going to get through this segment, Lee and the
Brake's gonna find out because I heard it from you.
Speaker 7 (04:00):
I did not hear from Jonahs.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
You heard it from me. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (04:05):
Yeah, you're the one who said both white guys.
Speaker 3 (04:08):
Oh, I thought Jonah said that. No, thought Jonah said.
Speaker 7 (04:12):
That, buddy, we're gonna play We're gonna play this for you.
The next second, I don't said that.
Speaker 4 (04:16):
I don't see.
Speaker 1 (04:16):
I might have tune jillt I thought I heard Jonah
say both both white guys?
Speaker 7 (04:21):
That are you literally said those words?
Speaker 3 (04:24):
Oh all right, I don't see.
Speaker 4 (04:25):
I don't see color. So I don't live in that world.
Speaker 1 (04:28):
I mean, I just I mean, I guess I'm just
so uh used to you guys making things so racial.
Speaker 3 (04:34):
I just assumed that's what you said.
Speaker 7 (04:37):
We was off, by the way, races.
Speaker 4 (04:40):
One is a white guy. I think it's Will Greer
and right from a year ago.
Speaker 7 (04:48):
Years can can we be honest? You most likely when
you said Trey Lance, you thought that was a white
guy's name.
Speaker 3 (04:54):
Say it again, Say it again, run it again.
Speaker 4 (04:56):
Is a white guy? I think it's Will Greer, And
the other is Trey Lance from a year ago, that's
two years.
Speaker 1 (05:04):
Yeah, it's just the way I heard it, because it's
like the other meaning like the other white guy.
Speaker 3 (05:09):
It's just the way.
Speaker 6 (05:10):
It's just the way I comprehended it. Guys, the honest
Tree Lance hits you and you're like white guy. Naw,
I knew Trey Lance, which makes.
Speaker 1 (05:19):
I mean, I knew Trey Lance wasn't all the way
you know, and and in our.
Speaker 3 (05:24):
Lane, but that wasn't what I heard.
Speaker 1 (05:26):
What I heard, And when you play it back, it
sounds like he said the white quarterback and the other
run it back.
Speaker 3 (05:34):
It's just comprehension.
Speaker 4 (05:37):
Man, You're the one that said two one is a
white guy. I think it's Will Greer and the other
is Trey Lance.
Speaker 1 (05:44):
Okay, well from that from there it doesn't because is
one is so there you go.
Speaker 3 (05:48):
But I just felt like you said the other why
can't we get But then that makes more sense.
Speaker 7 (05:53):
Guys, it's actually.
Speaker 1 (05:56):
It's actually more racist than what I had originally thought.
It was you called you called the white guy white,
and then you did the other guy like you did it.
Speaker 4 (06:05):
With like, look, you know, an equal opportunity here on
this show.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
In this I just don't get it. Why is it
the white quarterback, but the other guy has to be other?
Speaker 3 (06:16):
I do.
Speaker 4 (06:18):
The way my list. Okay, everything is fixed. Yes, she
did make She did make notesier to quarterbacks. This this
is this, like the story the board, what are they
called the storyboard and broadcasting that you use? What's the
game she use up there? Like the game board, the storyboard,
(06:39):
I don't know whatever it is, whatever it's called.
Speaker 7 (06:42):
Boards.
Speaker 4 (06:43):
She put next to Deshaun Watson massage man.
Speaker 3 (06:47):
Which that's a good way to remember which is good.
Speaker 7 (06:51):
And then she may be confused if she's looking for
a massage.
Speaker 4 (06:56):
And then she she did include oriented the She included
Josh Allen, Josh Allen, the New York Buffalo Bills.
Speaker 3 (07:05):
They are New York.
Speaker 4 (07:06):
They are right, they are an upstate So there another
New York team.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
I'm so shocked. They have so many.
Speaker 5 (07:12):
They have the New York Giants, the New York Jets,
and the New York Buffalo.
Speaker 4 (07:16):
Bill and they're the only New York team that actually
plays in New York. That's wild. So like, hey, Lorena,
thanks for helping me study guys.
Speaker 7 (07:28):
You don't understand why Lee can't get Leavar's part of this.
Why are we focused on Jonas.
Speaker 4 (07:33):
It's playing you guys talk over here. It is and
Lance from a year.
Speaker 3 (07:38):
Ago white guys.
Speaker 7 (07:39):
Huh that part you had not played.
Speaker 8 (07:42):
I edited it because you guys get the talking over it.
Speaker 3 (07:44):
You over.
Speaker 7 (07:48):
Both white guys. I mean LaVar.
Speaker 6 (07:50):
Honestly, it's okay when I hear Lance at Lance Harbor
right Varsity Blues.
Speaker 1 (07:56):
You want to walk me into this. I thought I
heard Jonas say it. That's all okay, one more time on.
Speaker 7 (08:02):
The entire the entire thing, all right?
Speaker 8 (08:05):
You want it unedited or edited, because you know I
gotta unedited again.
Speaker 3 (08:08):
Here it is.
Speaker 4 (08:10):
One is a white guy. I think it's Will and
the other is Trey Lance from a year ago, both
white guys.
Speaker 3 (08:17):
Huh. Yeah, it's way worse. It's way worse.
Speaker 1 (08:24):
I thought I heard you say they were both both
white guys. I feel like I would have rather heard
you say both white guys than the other one is
white and the one is the other.
Speaker 7 (08:34):
We need to do this.
Speaker 6 (08:37):
There's times when we all feel like we say something
and we definitely said something else, so we need we.
Speaker 7 (08:42):
Need to do this more.
Speaker 4 (08:43):
I could recut it to make it more racist.
Speaker 1 (08:45):
I'm not I could have. I could have sworn. I
heard you say both white guys and you racist. You know,
it just is what it is, not above that. I mean,
it's not a big deal. I misheard you. But other man,
and that takes it over the top for me. I mean,
I don't even know if I want to finish the
show bro.
Speaker 3 (09:05):
An other why not? God Lee, that's cold blooded brouh.
Speaker 4 (09:11):
Oh yeah, I do uh award, I do know that.
Here's a speaking of some big news here. I got
the big news for Big Noon.
Speaker 7 (09:21):
Oh yeah, bring this up, man.
Speaker 4 (09:24):
Big gas ratings, big gas ratings for Ohio State and Texas.
Speaker 1 (09:29):
We never talked about the port Noy You know the conclusion,
I never talked about it.
Speaker 4 (09:34):
Well, we've got another port Toy and then we've got
some more some more action on that topic. Ben Portnoy
a college sports reporter for a sports business journal. He
reported yesterday sixteen point six million viewers on Big Noon Saturday.
It peaked at eighteen point five nine million viewers between
(09:55):
three and three fifteen pm Eastern Time, the most watched
Week one college football game ever, regardless of the network.
That's what I'm talking about.
Speaker 3 (10:05):
How about that?
Speaker 4 (10:06):
What I'm talking about.
Speaker 3 (10:07):
I'm hating featured. Yeah, but that pretty cool.
Speaker 6 (10:14):
I mean, big game, big matchup, felt that way, even
though wy the game went with Texas coming back in
the end, I was I was curious to see how
many people will be tuning into watching because it did
get very interesting down the stretch. I also think that's
something that not to like defend the Noon window, but
you could stack games that are really fun, you know,
(10:37):
really competitive, Like you that particular day, you had Ohio
State Texas the biggest of obviously all of them, which,
by the way, I mean you could have made your
case between LSU Clemson. Uh you know in primetime that
night that's a huge matchup too.
Speaker 7 (10:53):
But you know, Ohio State.
Speaker 6 (10:55):
Texas are the two biggest brands in college football, and
and so you were expecting a big rating and it
still got it.
Speaker 7 (11:00):
They probably would have got it regardless of where it
was at.
Speaker 6 (11:02):
But it wasn't going up head to head against LSU Clemson.
It wasn't going up head to head against Notre Dame Miami,
which got the second most I think Notre Dame Miami
got ten point eight million on ABC or ESPN ABC.
So for all the people who hate on the Noon window,
apparently still watching. And then the second thing I'd say
to that is it allows like the entire day to
(11:25):
be flipping awesome because right after Ohio State Texas, you
had Alabama Florida State, and right after that you had
LSU Clemson.
Speaker 7 (11:32):
I mean you had three really really.
Speaker 6 (11:35):
I would say good games in some ways, and then
maybe even surprising or shocking however you want to describe
Florida State pounding as a two touchdown underdog Alabama, it
was really interesting. So anyway, I just obviously it's fun
to see the show grow. Portanoy was playing the heel
about as well as anyone could. There was a lot
of drama with him not being allowed into the stadium.
(11:57):
If you have followed Barstore, Dave Noise, his ex account
or Twitter account, you will see that he will be
in the stadium when it comes to Ames Island and
the Syhawk Trophy this week. Barstool is permitted to be
doing a show on Iowa State's campus because there's been
a lot of disinformation thrown out there that Fox had
(12:17):
something to do with Barstool not being allowed to do
their college football show ahead of our show last week
in Columbus, but that seemed to be a decision that
was made for them, if you will, I'll leave it
at that.
Speaker 4 (12:29):
Interesting. It's interesting.
Speaker 3 (12:33):
Sounds like drama to me.
Speaker 6 (12:36):
Sounds like there's only drama with one partner.
Speaker 4 (12:39):
It feels like, so yeah, yeah, yeah, I don't see uh,
I don't see Matt Campbell, you know, or Kirk Farens
or anything.
Speaker 6 (12:48):
Well, the commissioner of the Big Twelve host to a
conference call that Portnoy would not confirm nor deny, but
it sounds like, based on the reporting of Ross Dillinger,
who seems to be in the know, that all parties
are on board and all campuses are excited about the
opportunity and looking forward to in particular this week since
it's technically a Big Twelve home game, but the rest
(13:08):
of the places we'll be able to go the rest
of the season.
Speaker 1 (13:10):
So and then why wouldn't they be I mean, only
I guess I feel like, again, maybe I miss her,
But I mean I feel like the only reason why
there could be any drama would be a conflict between
you know, Barstool and Fox.
Speaker 6 (13:25):
Right, So yeah, that's what you'd think, right, But no,
but there's no conflict there. And here's the other thing is,
you know, Barstool Ohio State has like one hundred and
eighty seven hundred and eighty eight thousand followers, Like you
don't think there's a strong following from Ohio State fans
of Barstool that would want to also see those guys
and be there, Like that's the That's the thing that
(13:48):
I feel like it's lost in all this is whatever
decision was made by Ohio State wasn't taken into consideration
the fans because obviously the fans want to see it.
Speaker 7 (13:59):
The fans washed.
Speaker 6 (14:00):
So the fans whether it's the pregame show or the
game they watched, And a lot of people can say
they'll hate on Dave, and trust me, there's plenty of
people there who were giving Dave a hard time, but
they also enjoyed doing it, And I think there's something
to be said for that. As much as we want
to act like I'm not gonna watch, I'm not gonna
I don't want to support, it's like, well yeah you will,
because you're gonna want to heckle him. Like people had
(14:22):
a blast giving him a hard time, try to disrupt
him throughout the show, and.
Speaker 7 (14:26):
It made it fun. It made it funny quite honestly,
just being there in person.
Speaker 4 (14:29):
It's pro wrestling, Like it's like every everybody can be
in on the act and be a part of it.
And if it doesn't go over the line or it
doesn't get did it ever get to a point Tours?
Speaker 1 (14:38):
They just still go over the line. And it goes
over the line at times it does.
Speaker 4 (14:42):
It didn't seem like it did though. It seemed like
everybody kind of understood what was happening and we're here
for a game, and yeah, the guy's a Michigan fan,
but like it didn't seem like people were throwing.
Speaker 6 (14:55):
Bottles at the guy or it doesn't help either that
like continually, continually is this perpetuating story about.
Speaker 7 (15:04):
The Michigan the whole thing, Like can we just move on?
Speaker 6 (15:08):
Can we move on from the Connor stides, Like all
that stuff continues to, you know, resurface and just there's
more and more from it, and it's just it won't die.
Speaker 7 (15:16):
Now.
Speaker 6 (15:16):
Maybe that speaks to the rivalry and how big the
rivalry is, but also there's an element of like that's
what keeps perpetuating it is because there's there's still this
idea that you know, for Ohio State fans, Michigan didn't
win it fair and square even though Stallions really wasn't
there for that season. And for Ohio State fans, you know,
they didn't beat him last year, so they have to
have that held over their head even though they're the
(15:38):
ones that won a national championship. So that's what makes
the rivalry great. But at the same time, at some point,
can we just move on? Can we just focus on
the football on the field.
Speaker 4 (15:49):
Yeah, be nice, it would be nice.
Speaker 7 (15:51):
But by the way, can Penn State have something to
say about this?
Speaker 4 (15:54):
Huh about?
Speaker 7 (15:55):
How about Penn State having something to say about all this?
Speaker 6 (15:58):
About what like in the conference winning the national championship.
Maybe Penn State gets involved and then Penn State looks
and tells Mischion, Ohio State, shut up, shut up.
Speaker 7 (16:07):
We want it all you didn't like. Maybe it's Penn
State's here to say.
Speaker 3 (16:10):
That definitely possible, you know, yeah.
Speaker 7 (16:15):
That's exactly Actually how Portnoy said it. I think or
Urban said it. I think you said definitely maybe like
the movie, yeah definitely maybe.
Speaker 3 (16:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (16:23):
That's never a good things.
Speaker 3 (16:27):
Come on.
Speaker 1 (16:28):
I just always exercise cautious optimism. I prepare for I
expect the worst. I'm what is it? I expect the worst,
but I do prepare for the best, like I I
like or No, No, it's the opposite.
Speaker 7 (16:42):
I like the worst, expect yeah yeah.
Speaker 1 (16:46):
Yeah, but no, I prepare for it. I think I
said it correctly, even though I said it backwards. No,
it doesn't have to be the way that that you
say it or anyone else.
Speaker 3 (16:56):
It doesn't hope for the no, no, No.
Speaker 1 (16:59):
What I'm saying thing is is that in context I
feel about it. Yeah, I prepare for the worst and
expect the best. Yeah, that's kind of how I'm move
in life. Yeah, yeah, I know it's not I know
that's not how it's it's said. I know that's not
how it's written in like, but what I'm saying is
the way I said it is definitely kind of the
way I move. I prepare for the worst, even though
(17:21):
I expect the best.
Speaker 3 (17:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (17:23):
Yeah, that's yeah, that's one hundred percent accurate for me.
You know, matter of fact, I think that's a shirt
I might get that might get that trade marked. You know,
I think it's nobody says it that way. You mean
the reverse way, Yeah, the reverse way. Nobody says it
that way. I mean, who's preparing for the worst but
(17:43):
expecting the best?
Speaker 3 (17:44):
Right? I mean, come on, you.
Speaker 7 (17:46):
Think they're expecting the best preparing for the worst.
Speaker 3 (17:48):
Yes, I mean, isn't that how they say it?
Speaker 7 (17:55):
They say it either way or either way?
Speaker 3 (17:57):
But now they say it either way. I mean, which
one is it, Brady Quinn.
Speaker 7 (18:01):
Or either way?
Speaker 4 (18:02):
Prepare for the worst and hope for the best.
Speaker 3 (18:05):
Prepare for the worst.
Speaker 7 (18:06):
That's the problem is there's there's ones to say. Well,
there's different T shirts too that I'm looking up right now.
Speaker 3 (18:14):
Huh Okay, so I kind of say that correctly.
Speaker 4 (18:17):
Everybody ridiculous involved in the show, take a bow. This
is an all timer segment. We had misinformation on the
race of two quarterbacks in the NFL, We did ratings talk,
(18:38):
and then we may or may not have butchered an
all time saying and turned it into a T shirt opportunity.
So everybody, take a bow. Job. Well done. And by
the way, Lee, why did you have a red ass
earlier in the segment about about replaying the sound? What's
your problem?
Speaker 8 (18:55):
Well, I'm fine, I'm just I'm trying to give you
what you want. In fact, we have a bunch of
people still saying that it was it was wrong, and
so I've even made it a longer cut if you
wanted it was wrong.
Speaker 7 (19:09):
What are you talking about?
Speaker 4 (19:10):
No, we we figured it out.
Speaker 8 (19:11):
Some people still are citing with the fact that they
think Jonas said two white two white guys.
Speaker 1 (19:16):
He didn't say two white guys. I thought he did.
Speaker 7 (19:20):
Okay, then play back the whole thing, all right, here
we go.
Speaker 4 (19:23):
What's interesting about this, though, is that there's two Dak
Prescott's and neither one of them are Dak Prescott. Maybe
that's one is a white guy. I think it's Will
Greer and the other is Trey Lance from a year ago,
two years.
Speaker 3 (19:39):
Both white guys.
Speaker 1 (19:40):
Huh, you are a funny dude, that might I mean,
was that snake shade?
Speaker 3 (19:45):
What are you talking about?
Speaker 1 (19:47):
Ro Yeah, I tuned out. I tuned you out at
the one one is a white guy. I tuned you out.
I heard I heard two two Dak Prescott's. You know
that aren't Dak Prescott's, and then I heard white guy
and I thought that, Yeah, so I don't know why
it's always I was able to put it in full
context now too as well.
Speaker 6 (20:04):
So there you go, happy now, are they better.
Speaker 7 (20:11):
Yeah, I'm just I'm gonna send I'm gonna keep sending you.
Speaker 6 (20:14):
T shirts and other quotes say that the people apparently
do it this way.
Speaker 3 (20:19):
Keep aren't Dak Prescott. That's a T shirt.
Speaker 4 (20:25):
I mean, that's that's not really all that optimistic.
Speaker 8 (20:28):
Hey, if Muhammad said it, then it's all good. Muhammad
Alian all right, well I.
Speaker 3 (20:36):
Do know this. Two white guys and they're not Dak Prescott.
What did he say?
Speaker 7 (20:43):
By the way, we need to drop and we needed
the ability to come back and replace. Sound like this
because this is this has been great.
Speaker 4 (20:49):
Yeah, I mean the only thing better is Home Depot.
It's your one partner with the assortment and support to
get the job done. Ask about all we can do

Speaker 4 (22:00):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe, Fox Sports Radio,
LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you here. Coming
up a little over fifteen minutes from now, we are
going to have ourselves a little discussion about how you
take part in the NFL this upcoming weekend and beyond.
It's gonna look a little bit different. We'll get into
that for you here on FSR. By the way, we've
(22:22):
been mentioning this throughout the course of the week. But
if you've ever wanted to try an Olympic or a
Paralympic sports, try fencing. It's fast, it's safe, and it's
easy to start. Find the beginner class near you at
USA Fencing dot org slash try fencing. That's USA Fencing
dot org slash try fencing. All right, So we did
the AFC last hour. We made our picks, our season
(22:43):
preview and picks on the AFC. Now it's time for
the NFC. So lead to lap. You have the honors,
all right, Let's keep it.
Speaker 8 (22:52):
Let's keep it rolling. Let's go the same order as
last time. Brady kick us off with some NFC picks.
Speaker 7 (22:58):
A big, big surprise in my picks. Tampa.
Speaker 6 (23:03):
It's the number one overall seed. They obviously win the
NFC South twelve and five. They go undefeated in the division.
They got a good football team. I didn't think i'd
have them this high, and I didn't think i'd had
Philly losing as many games.
Speaker 7 (23:15):
As I did. But here we are.
Speaker 6 (23:17):
Tampa wins it. Atlanta. They finished second at ten and seven.
They do get a wildcard spot, though Carolina five and
twelve the Saints at three and fourteen. Going to the
NFC East, I've got the Eagles winning it at twelve
and five. Again, that number probably could be a little
bit higher than be thirteen fourteen wins.
Speaker 7 (23:36):
Who knows, but that's how it worked out.
Speaker 6 (23:39):
Washington they make it as a wildcard team, finishing second
division at ten and seven, the Giants at seven.
Speaker 7 (23:43):
And ten, the Cowboys also at seven and ten.
Speaker 6 (23:47):
In the NFC West, the San Francisco forty nine Ers,
I've got them winning the division at twelve and five,
and then just behind them the La Rams who qualify
for a wildcard spot at ten and seven, Cardinals at
seven and Tenattle Seahawks at five and twelve, and finally.
Speaker 7 (24:03):
The NFC West.
Speaker 6 (24:03):
This one was a bit surprising for me too, very
competitive division. I've got only one team making the playoffs
and that's the Green Bay Packers at ten and seven.
Speaker 3 (24:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (24:12):
That tough schedule for the NFC North this year, and
looking at how it plays out, the Lions missed the
playoffs at nine and eight. They're missing the losses of
Aaron Glenn, Ben Johnson, and then the Vikings at seven
and ten.
Speaker 7 (24:25):
J J.
Speaker 6 (24:25):
McCarthy's first year starting there comes some bumps along the way,
and that bears even with the addition of Ben Johnson
still struggle a bit at five and twelve, just a
tough strill.
Speaker 7 (24:36):
So there you have it. The NFC from my take,
at least.
Speaker 1 (24:40):
Hey did Q say the NFC West first before he
said the NFC North? Is that is that in the books?
Is that is that in the in the replays?
Speaker 7 (24:49):
I'm just I'm reading down what how I did it?
Speaker 6 (24:53):
So my top seed was the NFC South, the Tampa
Bay Bucks.
Speaker 1 (24:57):
So that's trying to figure out if I caught you
saying something incorrectly.
Speaker 3 (25:02):
That's this morning. You said you wanted to do it,
so I did it. Don't say you want me. You
don't say you want us to do it if we're
not going to do.
Speaker 6 (25:14):
The order I did it in was NFC South, NFC East,
n f C West, FC North, because the seating goes one, two, three,
four with kreen Baby in the four seed at ten
and seven.
Speaker 1 (25:27):
Yeah, with all that being said, I think you said
NFC West Lee.
Speaker 3 (25:31):
Did you pull it? Did? Did you pull it?
Speaker 8 (25:36):
Yeah, I'll pull it, I'll pull Jonas delivers his NFC
predictions here.
Speaker 3 (25:41):
Didn't pull it. I guess it has to be Jonas
or Brady. That's it's for him to pull it ra
you know, man, Yeah, I mean, I tell you right,
So go figure.
Speaker 4 (25:50):
Started with the NFC East, Yeah, I think Philly's the
pick to go with here. In the NFC East, I've
got Washington second, the Dallas Cowboys third, and the New
York Giants fourth. I think the Giants are maybe a
little better than people give them credit for, but that
schedule is rough, and I think at some point, probably
(26:10):
pretty early on, Jackson Dart's going to get his opportunity
there because at that point, Brian Dayball and Joe Shane
are going to have to show them. Hey, listen, maybe
you want to continue on with the partnership between us
and Jackson Dart moving into the future. But nonetheless, the
Giants are a last place team in the NFC East.
Going over to the North, I've got the Green Bay
Packers winning the division, followed by the Chicago Bears, the
(26:36):
Detroit Lions, and the Minnesota Vikings. I think it's going
to take time for JJ McCarthy to get acclimated there
in Kevin O'Connell's system and in the NFL, I mean,
the guy's basically a rookie. And then you've got the
Detroit Lions. I see them taking a step back there,
but I do like the addition of Micah Parsons and
I think Green Bay pack the Green Bay Packers have
an opportunity to go to a Super Bowl, but we'll
(26:58):
get into that later on in the show. To the
NFC South, I've got the Atlanta Falcons winning the division.
I'm going to go with Atlanta winning the NFC South,
followed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Carolina Panthers, and
the New Orleans Saints, who at this point probably shouldn't
even play the upcoming season based on how things look
for them. In the NFC West, I've got the forty
(27:20):
nine Ers winning the division a much easier schedule. I
would have taken the LA Rams, but I'm not sold
on Matthew Stafford. I think his back issue is going
to be an issue the entire season, followed by the
Arizona Cardinals and the Seattle Seahawks, whor I think are
going to really struggle. I think Seattle is going to
be a bad football team. All apologies to Seahawks fans
(27:40):
listening in the Pacific Northwest. But that concludes my look
ahead and the right picks and the right side of
how the NFC is going to look the subcoming season.
Speaker 8 (27:52):
All right, all right, Barb, bring it home here with
your picks for the NFC.
Speaker 7 (27:56):
Yeah, let's go var.
Speaker 3 (27:58):
Yeah. So I'll start with the North.
Speaker 1 (28:02):
Minnesota will finish number one, even though I have question
marks surrounding their quarterback. I think that the team around
them is purely just pure talent, and I think that
they're going to be the one that.
Speaker 3 (28:16):
Comes out of the North.
Speaker 1 (28:17):
I got Green Bay bringing up second, Detroit falls the third,
and the Bears. They will be fourth in the NFC North,
which looks like a shake up year kind of sort of.
The NFC East, I got Philly winning it. I got
Washington second. I guess this is what everybody said, except
(28:39):
I have the Giants third, and I have Dallas bringing
up the rear Derek Can kickers of the NFC East.
In the South, I have Tampa Bay winning it. I
have Atlanta bringing up second. Carolina will add out New
Orleans for third, while New Orleans will fit there's fourth.
(29:01):
In the West, I have Arizona winning the West. Why,
I think by default Matthew Stafford is the best quarterback
in the division, yet he has question marks surrounding his back,
so I'm not sure how that's going to all play out.
Speaker 3 (29:19):
If all things.
Speaker 1 (29:20):
Given, that's what plays out, there is a back injury
that's having him play differently. I do think Kyler Murray
is the next best quarterback in in that division, and
I believe if he's healthy, that is a pretty that's
a pretty formidable team in Arizona. I think they'll take
a step forward this year. So by default, I do
(29:43):
not think San Francisco is going to be as good
as people are predicting. I do not think Seattle is
going to be good, and so I think it's a
two team race, and I think Arizona edges it out.
Speaker 3 (29:55):
So there you go.
Speaker 4 (29:56):
Hell, yeah, that's what I'm talking about, all right. So
there's the here's the question again. Division you struggled with
the most? Mine was the South. I was either going
to go Tampa or I was gonna go with I.
Speaker 1 (30:12):
Didn't feel like I had a struggle in this one,
to be honest. I felt like they're all pretty I
feel like they're pretty clear cut.
Speaker 4 (30:19):
But I chose Atlanta. I sided with Atlanta because Prisco
has been all about Tampa Bay this entire training camp, tour,
slash off season.
Speaker 7 (30:28):
And I'm pretty easy schedule though too.
Speaker 4 (30:31):
But I want it so bad because I want him
to come up with reasons why why they're they're struggling,
and how it's not on him for making the pick.
Speaker 7 (30:39):
We'll get there.
Speaker 6 (30:40):
Mine was the NFC North, which I I guess, Var,
I guess I said the NFC West, And I don't
know how you guys.
Speaker 1 (30:46):
We would know because Lee doesn't move and Le's got it,
we will play it.
Speaker 3 (30:50):
Does he's got it?
Speaker 7 (30:53):
Yeah, he's working hard because think about it, I believe Var,
you had what Minnesota? Yes, I had Green Bay? Jonas
you had what Green Bay? Yeah?
Speaker 6 (31:04):
But then who was your second place team? The Bears
exactly like which will not happen. But anyway, it's kind
of a toss up, like everyone's got a different opinion
on how that division is gonna shake out, because Var,
who do you have is last? Do you have the
Bears as Bears? Okay, so Var and I are more
on the same page in this. I just I don't
(31:25):
know how Detroit's going to take such a step back.
I know they have a really hard schedule that factored
into this. I think a lot of Green Bay, which
we'll get to at some point later on this show.
And so ten and seven was a bit surprising to
me because I thought i'd have them higher. So the
NFC North to me, was the toughest one to pick,
because I also don't think Minnesota is a seven and
ten football team, even though that's how I picked it,
(31:49):
and I wasn't really even factoring in JJ McCarthy. I
just think you tie in when their by hits the
road games, et cetera. It's not an easy schedule. They
NFC North in general, the division has a tough one
this year.
Speaker 3 (32:00):
Yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (32:03):
When I really kind of run it back through my head,
I probably would say the one that could go the
worst that I picked is the West, and that's because
I think it's that's more of a I want to say,
it's almost for it's almost a four team race. I
don't know what. I don't know that any horse is
so much better than the other one in that in
(32:25):
the West. So it could be any one of those
teams that somehow, some ways or some way gets to
the top of the NFC West.
Speaker 3 (32:34):
It just depends on what could happen.
Speaker 1 (32:36):
I mean, Klamari does go down with injuries, it does
happen for him, and that team is tremendously impacted by it.
Speaker 3 (32:44):
If Matthew Stafford.
Speaker 1 (32:45):
As I mentioned, if he has that that that back
doesn't go away, which by the sound of it, it's
going to be there.
Speaker 3 (32:52):
So there's the chance they might not be as good.
Speaker 1 (32:55):
There's the chance San Francisco is only good because those
two stink. But then there's the opportunity for San Francisco
to not be that good. I really do not think
San fran is going to be that good, and I
definitely don't think Seattle where they're at right now and
the choices that they've made at quarterback, I just don't
(33:17):
see that playing out well for them. I feel like
the most confident I am in those teams in the
West is Seattle. I believe Seattle will finish last, but
they might not, so I don't know that. So now
that I'm thinking about it, that's the conflict. That's the lead.
Speaker 7 (33:33):
Do we have the sound? I believe you've got to
cut up for us.
Speaker 4 (33:36):
I have the sound.
Speaker 8 (33:36):
Now let's take a listen of how Brady broke down
the NFC West and the NFC North.
Speaker 6 (33:42):
In the NFC West, the San Francisco forty nine ers,
I've got them winning the division at twelve and five,
and then just behind them the LA Rams Cardinals at
seven and ten, the Seattle Seahawks at five and twelve,
and finally the NFC West. This one was a bit
surprised for me too, the very competitive division.
Speaker 7 (33:58):
Man, I've got only one making the playoffs.
Speaker 3 (34:01):
I mean, I only did it.
Speaker 1 (34:02):
I only did it because Q said it would be
fun to do it, so I was listening.
Speaker 3 (34:07):
I had my listening hairs on that that.
Speaker 7 (34:10):
Wasn't as funny as you called Trey Lance white.
Speaker 1 (34:12):
You know that's true because it wasn't racial. It wasn't racial. Nonetheless,
it was a miss. It was a miss. It was
a miss ad. You know, you guys wanted wanted to
do it. I did it, and now y'all want you
know what you did it. I'm starting to realize you guys,
you guys are all blaming me for everything, and you
know what, I don't appreciate it. I feel like this
(34:34):
is uncomfortable and we can't be in this time slot anymore.
Speaker 4 (34:37):
Some listen. You missed, you misspoken and missed.
Speaker 3 (34:43):
You missed the ends. YEA missed the end of what
I said.
Speaker 4 (34:47):
Which time you want to?
Speaker 3 (34:51):
I have to be in a time.
Speaker 1 (34:53):
Slot where there's light outside because I'm dark, touchet.
Speaker 4 (35:01):
Only one way to get there, that's from the bottom of.
Speaker 1 (35:05):
The I am feeling so uncomfortable about where we are
right now because there is no light outside when I
go to work, and that's dangerous.
Speaker 4 (35:15):
For from the bottom.
Speaker 1 (35:18):
That is very dark, and that is not safe for me, the.
Speaker 4 (35:23):
Bottom of the deck. Whenever you're ready.
Speaker 1 (35:31):
Maybe maybe the three of us, maybe maybe the entire show.
Maybe we should do an interview so that we are
maybe considered to Maybe we should just put it out
there that, you know, for a guy that hasn't even
hung up his microphone yet, maybe we should make it
a point to talk about how we're going to take
(35:52):
over that ship.
Speaker 7 (35:54):
Wow, all right?
Speaker 3 (35:56):
Bad? Not bad? I mean, I'm just sad. I was
just having a Oh man, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. You're good.
Speaker 7 (36:02):
You know what else is good as good sleep? Mattress?
Speaker 6 (36:04):
Yeah, I trusted Mattress from Sleep Experts to find the

would you need to bring for a three four day
trip to state College?
Speaker 1 (37:41):
Well, I'm going for for the rest of this week
and all of next week, so from Thursday to Sunday
of the followings, the second Sunday, So two pairs?
Speaker 3 (37:57):
I did. I did four pairs last time. I just went.
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (38:04):
I would like to limit it because I have big feet,
so it's it's it's hard to I generally have to
take two luggages when I have like a longer, longer
time on the road because my feet are check a
big and I don't like to mess up my stuff.
Speaker 3 (38:18):
So I don't know, though, check I'd probably like four
four pair that'll work.
Speaker 1 (38:24):
Three if I'm lucky, if I if I really feel
strongly three three would work.
Speaker 4 (38:30):
But you do check a bag.
Speaker 3 (38:32):
I'm gonna check both of them.
Speaker 7 (38:34):
He doesn't answer the question. You're a bag checker. That's
what you are.
Speaker 1 (38:39):
I don't like checking bags, but I like checking my luggage,
not a bag checker. I'm more on like then again, no,
I gotta take that back. I take that back within
context in a different context. Yes, I am a bag checker. Yes,
there you go. Yes, yeah, okay.
Speaker 4 (39:01):
By the way, uh, there you go. Are you guys?
Are you guys?
Speaker 7 (39:05):
Are you saying it like that? Loraino?
Speaker 4 (39:07):
Are you guys upset saying it like that?
Speaker 7 (39:10):
What do you mean? What do I mean? Stop saying
it like that?
Speaker 4 (39:14):
It's like a robot? Are you guys?
Speaker 5 (39:18):
One minute?
Speaker 3 (39:19):
Stop?
Speaker 7 (39:20):
Stop?
Speaker 4 (39:21):
Are you guys upset? Are you guys upset? That Red
Zone is gonna have ads this year? They're gonna start
having ads. Like I'm not really bothering.
Speaker 7 (39:29):
You know what I'm gonna do.
Speaker 6 (39:30):
I'm gonna go to Twitter and I'm just gonna tweet
my face off about how much I hate it, and
then I'm still gonna watch anyway.
Speaker 7 (39:36):
That's what I'm gonna do.
Speaker 3 (39:37):
Like what I like watching the Zone, I'm gonna watch it.
Speaker 4 (39:40):
You're gonna take whatever they give you because you got
nothing else going on.
Speaker 7 (39:44):
Yeah, you are there.
Speaker 4 (39:46):
You go, you illegal. Hey man, we lost Stream East
and Zone.
Speaker 3 (39:58):
Did you have a drink yesterday?
Speaker 4 (39:59):
No drinks yesterday,
