Russell Wilson and the New York Giants is ongoing, and
as you guys have laid out, both of you who
have spent time playing for teams in New York, the
(02:48):
media there is a little bit different, and uh, this
is how it went yesterday with head coach Brian Dave All.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
Russ remains the starter moving forward.
Speaker 6 (02:57):
Yeah, I mean we're working We're working through all personnel,
just visions, and we'll do that over the next few days.
Speaker 5 (03:02):
You're not saying Russ as the start, right, you're saying
you're still working through that.
Speaker 6 (03:05):
Yeah, we're doing what we normally do, which is, you know,
watch the tape. You know we'll have staff meetings after this.
Speaker 7 (03:12):
Let you say what you normally do most Monday afternoons.
You know who your quarterback is gonna be upcoming week
if everyone's healthy.
Speaker 2 (03:17):
Though, it seems a little different. Your response is, yeah, well.
Speaker 6 (03:20):
Look, we're going through the tape right now.
Speaker 2 (03:22):
We're evaluating everything.
Speaker 6 (03:23):
So quarterback changes on the table, I'd say we're evaluating everything.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
New York media, bro, Well, hold on, they're fair questions.
Speaker 8 (03:36):
It's there the Pittsburgh Steelers going over whether or not
Iron Rodgers is starting for them.
Speaker 9 (03:40):
You know.
Speaker 2 (03:40):
It's like it's the style points of the way they
follow out they ask it in the way they follow
up is very New Yorkish, That's all I'll say. But
they are fair quests, yeah, I mean, and in fact
may deserve a different response. Yeah, I mean, at some
point there might be a new conclusion.
Speaker 10 (04:02):
I just I don't know, I just what are we
waiting on, you know, like, like what is the unless this?
Speaker 5 (04:11):
You know, they look at it and go all right,
based on the schedule, you know, we don't want to
send him out there against you know, such a difficult
competition this early on. But if you're Brian daveall, you've
got to be at least see the writing on the wall.
Hey man, If this is just a poor season and
we're we're still sitting Jackson Dart late in the year
(04:31):
and there's not enough time to show any growth or development,
then he's probably going to be out of a job,
and Joe Shane would be as well too. And it
makes it worse that Daniel Jones is out there lighting
the league up and Saquon Barkley just ran for two
grand a year ago. Just just feels like they're almost
in a no win situation based on the schedule and
based on how this season has gone thus far, and
(04:54):
they're not going to the playoffs based on the history
of owing three teams.
Speaker 2 (04:57):
So I think the Giants are in a tough spot.
I thought they would be better than what they they
have shown. Maybe they're a player or two away from
being in a totally different, different situation, but I mean,
seeing where they're at right now, it doesn't it doesn't
(05:20):
bode well towards some type of dramatic turnaround. If Jackson
Dark gets in there, you got to ask yourself, what
are the expectations of using him at this point in time.
I mean, obviously they feel like Russell Wilson gives them
the best chance of being able to win games. It
(05:43):
doesn't get easier for them. I mean, they do get
the Saints and a little bit, but I mean they
got the Chargers, who I think is one of the
hottest teams in the league right now. Then they had
the Eagles. The Broncos are really like they're a good team.
They were just like they were banging in the game
they just played against a real who they just they lost,
(06:05):
but they should yeah, I mean yeah, I mean that's
that's a pretty dog on good team right now. And
you know, I don't know about the Niners, but the
Niners have have been able to stay undefeated. It's not
I guess my point is is that the schedule does
not give them any real relief in terms of, Okay,
(06:30):
this could be a turning point for what we're trying
to do. I don't see it that way, and so
I feel like for Dayball it puts them in maybe
a kind of a compromised situation in terms of do
you thrust a young rookie quarterback who hasn't gotten real
game reps during the regular season into us a volatile
(06:50):
situation to try to turn it around? Like I don't
I don't know that that's the proper way of handling it.
Not sure, but I mean it's it's a a big move.
It's a it's a big moment for day Ball because
it could be his last one as as the head
coach of this team.
Speaker 8 (07:07):
Again, I kinda I don't look at it that way
where I feel like he's on the hot seat. I know,
their their record points to otherwise, and probably the New
York fan base. I just I don't think the Giants
organization is going to be impatient with him. I think
they probably, like or I, had a plan in place
(07:27):
when they decided to take Across and then draft Jackson Dart.
You know, they're not a reactionary organization that's like, oh,
Jackson Dart's there, let's.
Speaker 7 (07:35):
Go take him, all right.
Speaker 8 (07:38):
I think they had this plan in place. They want
to attack the quarterback position in two ways. Like what's
tough though for them? And the reason why I don't
think Brian Dable was the one that's in the hot
seat is, you know, Joe Shane's constructing the roster and
what they have to witness.
Speaker 7 (07:54):
Last year they didn't sign back Saquon. What Saquon do?
Speaker 11 (07:57):
Nah?
Speaker 8 (07:58):
He just went to the Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl, was
the Offensive Player of the Year, probably should have been
the MVP. So that kind of looked bad. Now you
look at this year, what's happening? Then move off from
Daniel Jones. It's all right, he's on the Colts throwing
three and zero. I think they've putted once and he's
been at quarterback and he's lighting up everything.
Speaker 2 (08:20):
There in Indie.
Speaker 8 (08:22):
It's like another thing where you're going, all right, this
kind of looks bad. So I don't know if that's
on Joe Shane or if it's the combination it is
on Brian Dable, But the perception on the outside.
Speaker 7 (08:35):
Is kind of guys are going elsewhere and they're excelling.
Speaker 8 (08:40):
And Malieue Nahbors said us much after the game on
Satnday Night Football, was very frustrated with the whole situation.
Didn't put it squarely on Dable, but he didn't acknowledge
the fact that Daniel Jones is somewhere else and he's
playing really well.
Speaker 2 (08:58):
I just don't know, Uh, I don't know how you
can survive another poor season. That that would be my
what what my conclusion is. And listen, I have not
heard one person say one bad thing about day Ball
as a person or a coach, So maybe that makes
(09:19):
it hard for the conversation, but I just don't see
how he survives another poor season. Well.
Speaker 8 (09:26):
I think the other thing is is, you know we
always talk about during that cycle of time when they
fire coaches, oh what are they looking for next? Well,
they added defensive guy, so now they want to go
to offensive guy, or they've got a young quarterback, they
want to bring it an offensive guy to help build
up long Well, you have that offensive guy, you know,
they'd be looking for, essentially someone similar to Brian Dable
to come.
Speaker 7 (09:46):
In and help Jackson Darby the quarterback. He could be right.
Speaker 8 (09:49):
If that's the case, It just it feels odd you're
moving on from him. So again, I think they want
to be patient with it. I think they want to
see how the rest of the season plays out. But
but it does feel like the time for Russell as
their starting quarterback is done. And maybe most damning was
that performance versus Dallas, and Peak kind of hit on this.
(10:10):
It doesn't look quite as good after watching what the
Bears did to Dallas, and now you're like, oh, all right,
everyone kind of does that to Dallas.
Speaker 7 (10:17):
You know, everyone's kind of doing Dallas that way right now.
Speaker 2 (10:21):
And it was a high ankle strame for CD Lamb too.
By the way, Yeah, you called it three to four, Bro.
That ain't good. That is not good.
Speaker 7 (10:32):
I mean, does that fall in the category of the
knee Doppler five thousand?
Speaker 5 (10:36):
Uh yeahes that still exists? Does your indicate uh yeah,
so what are we looking at? When are we getting
a cold front here?
Speaker 2 (10:45):
Not right now? Okay, good to go. My knees feel fine.
Speaker 5 (10:50):
If anybody wants.
Speaker 2 (10:53):
Oh god, whoa, that's a different doppler for that guy.
Right there was that.
Speaker 5 (11:00):
I could to hear from Berto.
Speaker 2 (11:01):
My doubler don't work. Oh god, Oh gosh?
Speaker 7 (11:05):
Who knew that drop was in there?
Speaker 1 (11:08):
Look up sounds.
Speaker 10 (11:09):
I was hoping there'd be an actual doppler sound, but
it was just what did that.
Speaker 7 (11:12):
Say under the file? Did it say Roberto's name?
Speaker 5 (11:14):
It says Roberto Mexican doppler? Oh, oh wow, my favorite cut.
Speaker 7 (11:20):
We're gonna put that on Lee because he's not here.
Speaker 5 (11:23):
So my doppler don't work.
Speaker 2 (11:27):
Go and put that one on. Take a lap? Huhan?
Speaker 8 (11:33):
Can I tell you guys the most savage thing was
seen on social media so far? Do you guys know
the backstory of what's happening between Old Miss and LSU
this week?
Speaker 7 (11:42):
Who played each other?
Speaker 5 (11:43):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (11:43):
Yeah, I don't know. Have you seen this?
Speaker 5 (11:45):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (11:46):
Tell me so.
Speaker 8 (11:48):
Laane Kiff And obviously the head coach of Old Miss,
his daughter is dating Wit Weeks, who's the starting linebacker
for LSU. And I guess they made their relationship with
his daughter land kiff In public the week they play
each other.
Speaker 7 (12:03):
I don't know who made it public. I haven't taken
that big of a deep dive.
Speaker 2 (12:06):
I mean she posted it, so.
Speaker 8 (12:10):
I just all I know is Lane Kiffern's response after
she posts the picture of her and went together on
her social media platform. Lane's response was take the over.
Speaker 2 (12:22):
Oh now this is funny. Wow, this is funny.
Speaker 8 (12:27):
However, that could probably get him as a head coach
of a team that knows calling plays and stuff.
Speaker 7 (12:32):
It cou probably could gt him in trouble.
Speaker 8 (12:34):
But if you're looking for why the storylines in college
football I always feel like.
Speaker 7 (12:39):
Are better than the NFL, this is one of them.
All right.
Speaker 8 (12:42):
We don't get these sorts of storylines in the NFL
at any point.
Speaker 5 (12:46):
Especially Lane Kiffin Man, he's he gives zero fs brouh
that you talk about somebody who's embraced social media in
a fun way, because I remember back when he's always
been a troll. Because when he took the ten the
See job and then he went back to Tennessee, I
remember he was like posting pictures like passing through because
(13:08):
Tennessee fans are so pissed that he left and took
the USC job.
Speaker 2 (13:11):
I think it was.
Speaker 5 (13:12):
And he was trolling Tennessee fans back then and ever
since then. Then he went to FAU and it just
started to ignite something. And now he's anytime there's an
opportunity for him to take a shot or to get
into some sort of a skirmish or a dust up,
or he's gonna have fun with it. I do wonder though, Yeah,
somebody gonna get on him about the about the over line.
(13:34):
I mean, that's that's a good way to counter your
daughter date and the other teams one of their defensive
players just light him up on the scoreboard.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
That's fun. Aw.
Speaker 7 (13:45):
Do you have any thoughts on this?
Speaker 2 (13:46):
No?
Speaker 5 (13:47):
Why not?
Speaker 2 (13:48):
Yeah? I don't know. Why would I?
Speaker 7 (13:51):
Why wouldn't you?
Speaker 2 (13:52):
Why would I? It's a sensitive topic. Really, I have
daughters in college. Your son's a line by Well, I
have a son in college too.
Speaker 7 (14:03):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (14:04):
Man, I'm gonna stay away from this one.
Speaker 8 (14:07):
I'd assume, though, you wouldn't want her to post something
like the week before the game where they play that team.
Speaker 4 (14:13):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (14:15):
Once your daughters, well you might already realize it now,
even at their younger ages, but it becomes more and
more pronounced that they're going to do what they want
to do, and and you have really no control over that.
And and so it's much like in some instances, I'll
(14:36):
just say, speak for myself. I want to speak for everyone.
But it's much like your marriage. You know, you just
have to buckle up and go with it.
Speaker 5 (14:44):
I remember that show.
Speaker 2 (14:46):
You remember that one? Yeah? Married? No, speak for yourself?
Oh yeah, speak for yourself. Yeah, I'm speaking for myself
right now. I don't. I'm gonna stay away from it.
Speaker 7 (14:55):
Like I noticed, you got quiet. Usually you're you want
to chime in on this stuff.
Speaker 2 (15:00):
Stay away from it, all right? Yeah? Well, let me
talk about something serious for a second.
Speaker 8 (15:05):

towards that.
Speaker 7 (15:23):
Do you guys want in this next segment? Do you
want to get fired up?
Speaker 2 (15:28):
Do you want to get patriotic?
Speaker 8 (15:29):
I do you guys want to get flipping, like just
your hair on fire, like throw around three hundred and
fifteen pounds on a hand clean whoa, maybe a bench press,
but just wait, Lorraine has got it tuned up for us. Okay,
all right, the Wider Cup, the speech of all speeches. Okay,
it'll make your blood boil, make you so excited to
(15:50):
flip and go out there, punch your head through a
wall or something.
Speaker 2 (15:53):
They're going to go out there. Whoo some ass hell
like literally hell yeah, there is.
Speaker 8 (15:58):
There is one thing that's being talked about that maybe
he considered controversial. We'll wait till we get there, because
I do want to get your opinion. And this isn't
like a if you don't like golf or if you
like golf thing. It's more of like a philosophical conversation.
Speaker 2 (16:12):
I like philosophical conversation.
Speaker 7 (16:14):
Yeah, That's what I'm saying, you know, like I would
it looks interesting to me.
Speaker 2 (16:17):
I would love to see a straight rumble at whole
nine or whole eighteen, like let's let's get halfway through
and throw down, or let's get to the last hole
and let's throw down, Like I.
Speaker 8 (16:29):
Think d Chambeau would do well because he's yoked. But
I also don't know if he has that dog in him.
You know, I don't know if he has that dog
in it.
Speaker 2 (16:36):
I would love to see what that would look like.
You know, who would come out like going like Anchorman,
you know how like they had that like all out
Royal rumble and movie at some point. Yeah, I would
like to see that in the Ryder Cup. Yeah, you
know what, I'd like to see what the Harlem Globe Trotters.
Speaker 7 (16:53):
It's not yeah too so.
Speaker 5 (16:54):
Once in a generation event, the Harlem Globe Trotters one
hundred Year Tour come be a part of a legacy
that never be there when history is made. The Harlem
Globe Trotter's one hundred Year Tour gets your tickets today
at Harlem Globetrotters dot com.
Speaker 10 (17:08):
All Right, you really do suck at whistling.
Speaker 5 (17:12):
Damn are you breathing it instead? He's trying whoa ray ray?
Speaker 2 (17:19):
Some people just aren't meant to whistle. Maybe, you know,
I'm sorry whoever created that Harlem Globe Trotter is whistle.
They're really good at it.
Speaker 5 (17:29):
You know what I can't do. I can't do it.
Speaker 10 (17:31):
Where you take the fingers to the mouth and yeah,
I've always want to do that.
Speaker 2 (17:35):
I can't and they can do it. Them people do
it like really loud like where they can like blow
your ear drumm out. Q is one of them, guys.
I can do it, guarantee, he can do On. Can
you do it? Que? The one where you stick your
fingers your thumb and your your pointer in your mouth
and you go, you know, it's like real loud, like Patrick,
can you do it? Can you do it?
Speaker 1 (17:54):
No?
Speaker 10 (17:55):
I can whistle normally, but I can't do it.
Speaker 2 (17:56):
Yeah, I don't want it. That's it.
Speaker 5 (18:00):
It's too bad.
Speaker 2 (18:01):
Oh, that's too bad. Like the people that can like
whistle to each other and sound like birds, like you know,
and you communicate like birds like like that type stuff. Yeah,
now yours don't sound like it's very airy. Yeah, Pat,
come on, man, you got I got tighten up.
Speaker 5 (18:19):
Well, I mean you could probably whistle if you needed
to get some help from somebody at the home depot
or while you twork your one partner with the assortment
and support to get the job done. Is the home depot,
ask about all we can do for you at the
pro desk and start getting the entire job delivered from
one partner, the home Depot pro. It's about time. You're

on a Tuesday morning, this.
Speaker 2 (18:46):
Is for you right here on FSR. I have a
read here. And what is it?
Speaker 9 (18:53):
Is it?
Speaker 5 (18:54):
It's hot?
Speaker 2 (18:54):
Spicy? Make it spicy? All right? Well that's wonderful. Oh
this is a spicy move man. You know what, you
want to know what's cool after a football win? Well,
the food always tastes better, right, and hopefully the food
(19:15):
tastes better on Saturday after we win, which, by the way,
Louisiana Hot Sauce they're's official sponsor of the Stick City Tailgate.
They'll be there. The drinks are colder, the food is
just so much better. And you know what, if you
add some hot sauce, it gets even better in original
Louisiana Hot Sauce. They'll be there and it'll be used.
(19:36):
That's right, because nothing brings the heat like your team's
getting that dub with some bold hand crafting kicked straight
out of Louisiana. Louisiana Hot sauce. That's right. You got
that peppery peppers, vinegar and soap that our Louisiana flavor
(19:57):
masters have been blending perfect for almost one hundred years.
That's a long time, y'all. It'll turn every good meal
into a great meal, and every great meal into a party.
On your plate and Jonas Knox and your mouth, that's right, Wings, nachos, burgers,
it don't matter. You hit it with that original Louisiana
(20:20):
Hot sauce after a Sunday Saturday win and suddenly it's
unbeatable Lorena like a touchdown dance on your tongue. That's right, Yeah,
original Louisiana Hot sauce. That's Louisiana Hot.
Speaker 3 (20:37):

Speaker 5 (23:01):
Some bad news for one team in the NFL that
we're going to get to coming up here a little
over fifteen minutes from now. But we do want to
remind you here on this show that if you've ever
wanted to try an Olympic or a Paralympic sport, try fencing.
It's fast, it's safe, it's easy to start. Find a
beginner class near you at USA Fencing dot org. Slash
try fencing. That's USA Fencing dot org slash try fencing.
(23:23):
All right, We're ready to get fired up, all right, Yeah, yeah,
I'm ready for this.
Speaker 2 (23:27):
I gotta get to hear this. I mean, Q hyped it.
I'm ready for it. All right.
Speaker 8 (23:30):
Well, I'm just saying this is this. You know, USA
versus what Europe in the Ryder Cup. I mean, it
doesn't get any bigger than this. Yeah, we can go
back in time, we can think about like USA and
Russia and hockey. Maybe there's some other times we could
point out where we felt like the USA was taken
(23:50):
on a giant. But there's nothing we'll get you fired
up this morning. Nothing like this at least.
Speaker 12 (23:56):
I don't care if it's raining, if it's cold, it's hot.
We are going to be relentless competitors on this golf
course out there. That is our arena. This is our time,
This is our time this week. This is our home
course this week. This is the course you go up
on this week. We are the Nasau Players Club.
Speaker 7 (24:20):
Half the club like.
Speaker 2 (24:21):
Oh my god, yeah, yes, yes, I'm hyped up. I'm ready.
I'm ready. I tried. I tried. Yeah, it's good, I tried.
It's gone. Try.
Speaker 8 (24:38):
You know what's funny, though, is they try to make
it seem like it's gonna fire people up, you know,
Like I'm just I'm just thinking about all the golf
nerds out there are like.
Speaker 7 (24:46):
Oh my gosh, that was amazing. Let's just let's go.
Speaker 8 (24:49):
Let's go, guys, let's put on our golf shoes and
walk out there with our golf attire and we're a glove.
Speaker 10 (24:54):
And there are people that probably did get fired up
by that.
Speaker 5 (24:57):
That's the thing. Yeah, there really are.
Speaker 8 (25:00):
Sorry, I hope people out there know I am a
big golf fan. But it's there's some things that need
to you know, it could be.
Speaker 5 (25:07):
Better off Off the top of your head, what's a
couple of the things that you would they need to
get better in golf other than the entertainment pre swing speeches,
I would.
Speaker 8 (25:21):
Say, I mean, there shouldn't be a little crowd noise
be allowed a little bit. Now that being said, here's
the problem is you have people who stand like six
feet away from a golfer.
Speaker 7 (25:33):
So it's it's entirely different like when we talk.
Speaker 8 (25:36):
About you know, crowd noise, people saying stuff like you
have the NBA, they sit right on the court, at
least on the on the sides of it. That's probably
the most comparable as far as like someone being that
close able to talk to professional athlete. Golf is hard
and it would be tough to be able to have
someone that close, So you may have to actually keep
the fans a little further away.
Speaker 7 (25:57):
But I don't know.
Speaker 8 (25:58):
I mean, these guys could play some noise or whatever
the Live Golf Tour has done that I would love for.
Speaker 7 (26:04):
I don't know.
Speaker 8 (26:05):
There have to be some sort of like faster pace
of play, like they have to basically finish in a
certain amount of time otherwise they get Doctor Stroker two.
Speaker 7 (26:17):
So these guys just take too long?
Speaker 2 (26:21):
What do you mean by do you mean? What do
you mean by that? But yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 8 (26:31):
Look, if everyone's trying to get fired up about something,
Beth Page Black is a really really difficult golf course.
Speaker 7 (26:37):
There was a seven minu clip that Beth Page Black.
Speaker 2 (26:42):
You bet you got that right?
Speaker 7 (26:44):
Do you want to say, like Jonas Okay, oh yeah.
Speaker 2 (26:48):
They're playing at Beth Page Block.
Speaker 10 (27:00):
People thought that there was.
Speaker 2 (27:02):
There was a portion of.
Speaker 8 (27:05):
That video though, where they do have a I believe
he's a he's a fireman come and talk to them,
And that actually was like a pretty emotional, like pretty
cool thing to hear, and he talks about New York.
He talks about the New York fans. That was actually
the cool part of the clip. Unfortunately the pump up
speech wasn't really the best part of it.
Speaker 5 (27:24):
But yeah, these guys are gonna get along U these
uh these golfer Are some of these guys part of
the live tour that are competing or is it all
shambo's shambos?
Speaker 7 (27:35):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (27:36):
So have they done that yet live versus p G
A No, then they probably would never will they never will?
They should know? Wouldn't people watch that? Though?
Speaker 8 (27:50):
I think that the whole point of the PGA tour
is we're in a good We're in a good financial spot,
we're in a good spot.
Speaker 7 (27:58):
We have a TV mean right steal and the Live
tour really doesn't.
Speaker 8 (28:03):
Just having a hard time figuring that out because they
play so many international events, so they'll be like live
in Bangladesh at like three a m.
Speaker 7 (28:13):
So obviously your ratings gonna be extremely low.
Speaker 8 (28:16):
That's an exaggeration. I don't think they've ever played in Bangladesh,
but you kind of get my point.
Speaker 2 (28:21):
YEA.
Speaker 7 (28:22):
So the PGA Tour, because.
Speaker 2 (28:23):
Of the week will only have something to lose and
and the live would have everything the game.
Speaker 7 (28:29):
I think that's how they'd probably look at it, and
this is it. Look it was, it was.
Speaker 8 (28:33):
It's been a nasty situation because some guys defected, you know,
they chose to leave to basically go take payouts because
it's it's backed by the you know, Saudi fund, right,
and it's rubbed a lot of people the wrong way.
So I don't know that there's a resolution any time
in the super or any sort of merger. They talked
about their being emerged, but it's it's never really moved along.
Speaker 2 (28:57):
Sadi. Saudi money works in America.
Speaker 5 (29:00):
I mean, how do you think the Canelo Crawford fight
got done?
Speaker 7 (29:03):
So that was a flag football game Tom Brady and
paid seventy.
Speaker 2 (29:06):
Five million for that from Saudi money.
Speaker 5 (29:08):
Yeah, yeah, wead season.
Speaker 2 (29:10):
Okay, I was just asking for a friend.
Speaker 5 (29:14):
Hey, what do you, LeVar, what do you what do
you care less about the Ryder Cup or that Jimmy
Kimmel is returning?
Speaker 2 (29:21):
Like what do you care less? Ooh, that's a close one. Yeah,
it's a close.
Speaker 10 (29:26):
One because there's no story I care less.
Speaker 7 (29:29):
I mean, wait, Jimmy Kimmel made it back before.
Speaker 5 (29:32):
Late literally could not care less at all. Oh he's
back cool.
Speaker 10 (29:42):
I can't wait to continue not watching that show boy. Whew,
good news for everybody.
Speaker 2 (29:47):
I can't say I've ever saw it. I never once.
I can't say.
Speaker 5 (29:50):
And that guy got a bowl game. There was a
Jimmy Kimmel Bowl at one point at Sofi Stadium, if
I'm not mistaken.
Speaker 7 (29:56):
Yeah, but that that bowl games like the Village Bicycle, right,
does everyone get a ride? Can kind of slap their
name on it.
Speaker 2 (30:01):
Like Snoop was on it? Right?
Speaker 7 (30:04):
Yeah? I did, simple had it like, yeah, they all
eventually take their turns.
Speaker 5 (30:10):
Who you're shooting up? You can't get issues?
Speaker 2 (30:18):
Man, you got problem?
Speaker 7 (30:20):
How do we get a bowl game?
Speaker 2 (30:22):
We should?
Speaker 8 (30:23):
I think he told me it's it's a million dollars.
I think they said too. I asked something about that.
Speaker 2 (30:28):
But what do we get back from it? Do we
get a residual from barstool?
Speaker 7 (30:31):
Barstool has a bowl game?
Speaker 2 (30:32):
I think, right, yeah they do?
Speaker 8 (30:33):
And Arizona maybe I was asking important to about this
and he was saying like it's I forget how much
they have to spend, but it's it's seven figures.
Speaker 7 (30:40):
I don't know if it's a millionaire made it some more.
Speaker 8 (30:41):
But he was talking about it, and I was I'm
always wondering, like, all right, you're spending the money on it, Like,
how do you.
Speaker 2 (30:47):
Is that promotional or is it a recoup? Right?
Speaker 8 (30:50):
I don't think they're recooping. It has to be more
just promotional. But like who in the college football space
doesn't know barstool right?
Speaker 2 (30:58):
Well, and if you get a good match up, which
I don't know, if you got to get two great
fan bases, because if you don't get a good fan base,
nobody's going to go like, that's the playoffs. Yeah, that's
not you gotta think for the playoffs now, that's like,
that's it, that's the hot ticket. If your bowl game
isn't connected to the playoffs, it's like, what's the draw?
(31:20):
I mean, why don't we just uh, I mean outside
of the actual Rose Bowl, Let's put on a game there.
I mean, you know you can do better in UCLA's
doing right now?
Speaker 7 (31:30):
Oh we come there next week? Yeah, Penn State plays
at UCLA, right, you know?
Speaker 5 (31:37):
Happy Ucla is for that? Funny have people there? They're
drawing flies? Nobody cares about that program. You c LA
football is irrelevant, just absolutely irrelevant and usc but not bad.
Speaker 2 (31:52):
Right now, it looks pretty good. Had an impressive win
against ms U, you know, center.
Speaker 5 (32:00):
I think they're gonna we'll we'll talk about it. But
I already kind of know where you're trending on. I
think I already know what one of your picks are.
Speaker 2 (32:10):
Going to be in Quinn's wins. Isn't Petros coming? What tomorrow?
Tomorrow We've got Plandino today, landinot Dean's gonna get all
fired up. So it issh push the pushy, pushy.
Speaker 5 (32:25):

Started.
Speaker 5 (33:57):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe here on Fox
Sports Radio, far Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you.
Coming off top of next hour, we are going to
hear somebody who's a little concerned about where their their
team stands, especially on one side of the football. That'll
be yours here on FSR. A reminder, this show is
sponsored by DraftKings sportsbook and official sports betting partner of
(34:18):
the NFL, and right now used the promo code two Pros.
That's the number two pros to claim your special offer
DraftKings again, that's promo code two Pros at DraftKings the
crown is yours. You were mentioning yesterday, LeVar that when
Nick Bosa walked off the field on Sunday, he gave
(34:39):
a thumbs down. As it turns out, it was a
thumbs down. Yeah, torn ACL thumbs down. So this is
the second time he's torn his ACL. The first time,
I believe was on the met Life turf a couple
of years ago.
Speaker 2 (34:52):
Bro, his body must be strong as all get out,
like his lower half, because he walked off like he
walked like you understand, and you're you're you can walk
with a torn a cl is just no stability. But man,
like when I seen when I've seen guys tear their
a cls, you still get assisted, like you can walk,
(35:16):
but they will assist you if you If you tear cartilage,
that's generally more painful and more difficult because of like
just how it swells up or whatever it is that
takes place. But you you can generally walk without an ACL.
In fact, people have like gone without having the ACL repair.
But he was walking normal, like he was pretty much
(35:39):
walking normal after the injury. I knew something was good.
And then when he put the thumbs down, it definitely
wasn't good, But yeah, I wish him the best man
that that that really that stinks for him. And listen,
it definitely stinks for the forty nine ers as well.
I mean they have gotten hit with the injury, but
like you lead right every year, man Good.
Speaker 5 (36:02):
It just seems like there's there's some issue with them
and on the injury front, same with the Chargers. There's
certain teams that feel like they get bit more than
others when it comes to injuries.
Speaker 10 (36:13):
And so he's got you know, now.
Speaker 5 (36:15):
You know, George Kittle's going to be out a little
while longer. I mean, they're still undefeated, but yeah, this
this is obviously a big blow for them. And I
don't know where this stacks. I just I look at
San Francisco and I think, all right, they'll be competing
for a playoff spot, but that's not a team that
can make a deep run in the postseason. Like if
(36:37):
in comparison to a Green Bay or a Philly or
you know, one of these other teams in the NFC,
I just don't see San Francisco having the horsepower to
be able.
Speaker 2 (36:45):
To Did we hear of any transactions, like did they
bring anybody in today or yesterday? Yesterday would have been
the day, right.
Speaker 7 (36:52):
Yeah, but who are you going to bring into it?
Speaker 2 (36:54):
I don't think you can replace him, But I'm.
Speaker 7 (36:57):
Big Italian like that.
Speaker 2 (36:58):
You know you gotta replace that stallion Italian Italian? How
you doing? How you doing?
Speaker 4 (37:07):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (37:08):
I don't know, man, is there anybody else? I know
they brought Zadarius got picked up by the Eagles, so
he's not out there anymore. Who I don't know. I
don't know how you've replaced that production So now you you,
I don't know. That's a deep hole, man, they're in.
And I guess maybe the idea of it is they
(37:29):
they still are finding ways to win some way, somehow,
I don't know. But and maybe they get brought Purty back.
I just I don't know how they're winning, honestly. I mean,
I know if you guys might be high on them.
I know people have been high on them for this season.
I'm just I can't get myself wrapped around being high
(37:50):
on them being a high achievement team this season.
Speaker 5 (37:53):
Nick nick bost is only twenty seven two acls already
in his career. Used to be an injury of death.
It isn't anymore, though, Like you can come back from ACLS.
It takes time, but you could come back from him. Well,
wisham with speedy recovery man, you know, first and foremost. Yeah,
(38:14):
all right, So with that being said, there is an
interesting little story that's happening in Atlanta and tell us
all right. So I don't really understand this. I don't
know what this does, but the Falcons are moving their
offensive coordinator, Zach Robinson from the coaching box to the
field to call plays. Raheem Morris spoke yesterday, the head
(38:39):
coach of the Falcons, about the decision to do so,
and it went like this, We'll move back.
Speaker 13 (38:44):
Down to the field to be to get that little
cleanup communication for him to be, to get it to
him if something does happen along those lines, to be
able to be more visual and see the quarterback and
BEI do some of those different things to have him
have a clear line of communication with Mike to be
to help him out little bit more. And we definitely
hold some responsibility and those things, and we'll go out
and do those things, you know. So we'll correct those
things this week. We'll correct them throughout the process. Is
(39:04):
how we practice, is how we do walk through is
how we do everything else, so we'll get that closer.
Speaker 5 (39:08):
They also fire their wide receivers coach I Killyard on
Monday as well today.
Speaker 2 (39:13):
Ike, So why they do that, I don't know.
Speaker 8 (39:17):
I mean, we could speculate. I feel like that's a
little bit dangerous doing that. But honestly, their offense has
been an issue. We know that usual what happens is
there's blame that goes along, or there's criticism. I guess
I should should say. And you know sometimes coaches get
(39:38):
fired up, guys get get upset, get fired up, they
go off, and maybe that's what happened here.
Speaker 7 (39:44):
Now obviously not everything's on the wide receivers.
Speaker 8 (39:48):
And to your point, Jonas you know Zach Robinson, being
up in the box, what it helps you do is
is see the field.
Speaker 7 (39:56):
The problem is is you can't.
Speaker 8 (39:58):
Have direct eye contact communication, that sense of the emotions,
the feel the flow of everything down there. Now, that
doesn't mean that you can't be successful, like guys are
successful up or down. You know, some just it feels different,
feels better to them to get a sense for it.
So you know, we'll make a dramatic difference. I don't know,
(40:19):
I don't think so. But this also feels like one
of those moves that you're kind of searching your searching
for answers right now if you're Atlanta and after fire
or wide receivers coach, who I mean, he's not calling plays.
Speaker 7 (40:30):
So it's not on him.
Speaker 8 (40:32):
It feels like, you know, maybe there's something else that
took place and that's why they had to move on
from them.
Speaker 5 (40:36):
I mean, you might not always just recklessly speculate here
on the air. Let's be a little reckless here. What
do you think happened?
Speaker 2 (40:42):
I cuss somebody out? Yeah?
Speaker 5 (40:45):
Who do you think it was? Raheem Morris?
Speaker 2 (40:47):
Or maybe Robinson? The OC? Maybe maybe the OC. Maybe
he made him feel uncomfortable by the way he approached him,
like get the quarterbacks before I beat that ass. And
he didn't take it the right way, and they was like,
you know, you gotta go, like you can't have our
(41:08):
our OC because it wouldn't be Raheem. Raheem would would
fire back and be like, let's let's do it, you
know what I mean. So I don't think it's it's Raheem,
you know, Rahim and Jeff Ulbrich, the defensive coordinator, he's
a bad dude. Yeah, you ain't gonna do that. Yeah,
but but I don't know. I think he made somebody
(41:29):
uncomfortable because that's so random, Like we're gonna find we're
not doing well, let's fire the receivers. Coach like that,
doesn't you know? That doesn't translate? You think it was.
Speaker 5 (41:39):
They're going over the film on Monday and they're in
the meeting and somebody says, man, these receivers got us
get some separation.
Speaker 2 (41:46):
It might have got heeded, man, And then but I
kill your dain't like I killed kids. A good dude man,
like real laid back, good dude. Bro.
Speaker 7 (41:54):
I used to play with him all the time on
one of the nights.
Speaker 2 (41:56):
Who like that was okay, No, I'm just saying like that.
Speaker 7 (42:00):
When he was a Tampa Yeah, the whole crew. I
used to be a big like with the Bucks back then.
Speaker 2 (42:05):
Yeah, good player, great player. I used to dominate killed Florida.
He did, man, that was that was the heyday. Good
luck to you, bro, Yeah, good luck
