(01:19):
to start worrying about the Baltimore Ravens, who I believe
two of the three of us picked to go to
the super Bowl and now are sitting at one and
three after getting lit up by the Chief yesterday.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
Not this guy? Yeah take that, take that.
Speaker 5 (01:34):
You know what, though, I did forget that I picked
the Kansas City go to the super Bowl, So that
didn't help because I lost the pick and Lafar was
actually again doing really well in our picks.
Speaker 6 (01:50):
I had Kansas City winning that one, right, you did?
Speaker 2 (01:54):
I believe you went money line?
Speaker 1 (01:56):
I think I did. I think that. I said that
was the easiest money line of the week.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
That was.
Speaker 6 (02:05):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
The hamstring issue on on Lamar Jackson makes otherwise kind
of like okay, get through the lost type of deal
with Baltimore into a oh my gosh, if this couldn't
be the worst moment in time for our fearless leader,
(02:28):
our MVP, our most dominant athlete and player at the
quarterback's position to go down and and hamstrings are tricky, man,
they are so tricky and and and so now you're
talking he's probably I mean, I don't know how many
weeks he may miss, but when he comes back. That's
(02:50):
one of those types of injuries. If you don't treat
it with care and give it the proper time to
be able to get back to full full strength and health,
you'll you'll re injure it. You'll continue to re injure it,
and you will clearly see the difference in his game
(03:11):
because of so much being based upon his mobility.
Speaker 6 (03:14):
You'll see the difference.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
And to me, a not so healthy or not as
healthy as can be Lamar Jackson gives tremendous, tremendous cause
for concern as to what their season could end up being.
Speaker 4 (03:31):
Remember, I forget what the conversation was. I think we
were just sort of busting balls and we looked up
that Cooper Rush was the only other quarterback on the roster.
I think Brady made the point like, you know, they're
kind of playing with fire a little bit there, and
well it got burned a little bit because.
Speaker 2 (03:50):
They had no hope. They had no hope.
Speaker 4 (03:53):
Yes, And here's the thing too, I mean, it's the
best Kansas City's offense has looked in a long time.
Like it's the best Patrick Mahomes has looked in along
like that looked like vintage Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City.
But if you look at Baltimore's losses, they had the
meltdown against the Bills in Week one, they got put
(04:13):
in a clown suit by the Lions last week, and
then got destroyed yesterday. Like it's not even just Lamar.
Their defense doesn't look the same at all. And I
don't I don't know, man, it just doesn't feel like
a team that's heading anywhere close to the right direction.
And I'm starting to wonder, if you know, maybe we
(04:34):
need to revisit that division at some point.
Speaker 5 (04:39):
Yeah, I mean, Pittsburgh's the team that there's some people
who weren't believers, but they're winning in Dublin, they're winning
here in the States, Yeah, and they look to be
the team that's going to compete for the division. Baltimore's
got a lot of work to do.
Speaker 2 (04:52):
I don't know how I mean.
Speaker 5 (04:54):
And it's odd too, Like there's situations where I forget
it was like third and two, third and three something
like that, and Romo brought up the point and he
goes and Dereck Henry's not in the game, like basically
being like, what are you doing? You have a third
and short and you don't have Derrick Henry in the game.
(05:14):
They had Justice Hill in instead, And it's no disrespect
to Justice Hill, but you know, it's not the same
caliber of running back and not the same type of
running back, and it's almost signaling that you know you're
gonna throw or if you're gonna run, that's not the
guy you went running between the tackles. So even some
of the calls they're making and at times of which
(05:35):
they're making them on offense are questionable in a huge way.
So I would say this has been the most disappointing
team in the entire.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
NFL for the first four games. Yeah, the Ravens have.
Speaker 5 (05:49):
And because you know, you go back and you look
at that Week one game, like you talked about they
should have ran away with that when they're up on
Buffalo to give that thing away. As bad as they
looked last week versus Detroit, and this game wasn't even competitive.
I mean it felt over at half time, especially once
Lamar went out. It was it was done. So I'm
not I'm surprised they haven't made a move for Jamis
(06:12):
Winston or some other backup quarterback that would give them
an opportunity to still remain competitive.
Speaker 2 (06:18):
Because I think it's Cooper Rush.
Speaker 5 (06:20):
I just I don't think he's got a scary defense
is once he gets in there, most backups don't. But
there's something that you sit there and say, all right,
then go in there and play some good football, winning
some games.
Speaker 6 (06:29):
Maybe go after Shador you know.
Speaker 4 (06:35):
I mean, yeah, now he won't have to be a
they won't have to be a backup, you know, because
they weren't interested in being a backup.
Speaker 7 (06:42):
So you can maybe get in there and start.
Speaker 6 (06:46):
Man, it's a tough one.
Speaker 1 (06:47):
It's a tough one in Baltimore right now because there
have been questions and I think, was it you Q
that asked the question? I thought it was a relevant question.
So if you if it was you, you get good credit.
Speaker 6 (06:59):
There. Have the Baltimore Ravens hit their ceiling with Harball.
I feel like that yesterday. I mean it begs it
begs the question.
Speaker 1 (07:13):
And seeing the way that they got dominated by Kansas City,
it almost makes you take a step back and be like, man,
we've looked at this Baltimore Ravens team for quite some time, and.
Speaker 6 (07:30):
Do you ever really hair.
Speaker 1 (07:34):
Or see the criticisms come towards Baltimore the way they
go towards the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Speaker 6 (07:44):
And when you look at.
Speaker 1 (07:46):
These two franchises, they are mirror images in a lot
of ways, and likeness in terms of how they're able
to accomplish, how they're built, the cultures, they're very very
very similar, very mirror like. And yet you hear every
single year the murmurs or the questions and the concerns
(08:12):
about where Pittsburgh is. And I'll admit I'm one of
the people that has been a critic of have we
got to a saturation point? Have we hit the ceiling
of where the Pittsburgh Steelers are? And yet these sons
of guns continue to try to figure out ways and
are figuring out ways to win. And we're looking at
(08:36):
a team just like them. And I rarely, if ever
hear the question outside I believe you asking it last week, Q,
has this.
Speaker 6 (08:47):
Team hit its ceiling?
Speaker 1 (08:49):
Is there a moment where you got to have a
step back moment and ask has Harball taken this team
as far as he can take them?
Speaker 6 (09:00):
Yeah? You know, And I feel like it's a legitimate question.
Speaker 5 (09:06):
The last two weeks are the first time where I
felt like, I don't know, is this team a playoff team?
I mean, the Browns are getting beat They weren't yesterday,
they weren't the week before. But the Browns are getting
beat down. You know that's they're in a state of disarray.
I'm not sure what we expect from the Bengals tonight,
but I don't think there's any expectations now that Joe
(09:26):
Burrows not behind center.
Speaker 2 (09:28):
And that leaves you with Pittsburgh.
Speaker 5 (09:30):
I mean, coming into the season, I would have said
three of those four teams are playoff teams, teams that
if they get in, they could potentially win a Super Bowl.
Now you're looking at it saying I don't know that
they get more than the division winner in. And this
isn't an overreaction to what happened, or it's really looking
at it the last four weeks. Baltimore's got some amazing players,
They're not playing very well together as a team. You know,
(09:53):
from from a football standpoint, complimentary football standpoint, I just
I don't see it. They've got some soul searching too, man,
Like this is this is gonna be tough.
Speaker 4 (10:03):
The reason why I'm not closing the coffin on the Ravens. Well,
there's that, but also I think the AFC is not
has not been as good as maybe we thought going
into it. And look, it's because of the injuries. Joe
Burrow's not there, but even you know, other teams, whether
(10:24):
it's Denver, hasn't looked as good. Houston doesn't look anywhere
close to what people thought they were going to be.
Kansas City they look great yesterday, but you know, it's
it's it doesn't feel like it's the same Kansas City
team we've seen. So I do think there's there's an
opportunity there. I mean, they're banged up, they're banged up
on defense. Obviously Lamar's Lamar is injured as well too,
(10:47):
But I just they're nowhere close to what I thought,
and I think what a lot of people thought they were,
which they were through about three and a half quarters
of Week one, and then ever since then, they've just
been trying to figure it out. And look, even if
you go to the Cleveland game they won, like it's
it's not like they were dominant in that game as
(11:09):
far as you know, yards like the numbers and all
that like the score got away from him because but
Cleveland's defense kept them in check from a yard standpoint.
It's just these other games, like the Detroit game was bad.
They were, you know what, a two and a half
point favorite at Kansas City and yeah, you're right, that
game was never close. And as somebody who had Baltimore
(11:32):
minus two and a half, that pissed me off. That
would have been a three and oh week gone. Man,
I've advantaged like a fart.
Speaker 7 (11:38):
In the wind.
Speaker 2 (11:40):
What other games do you think you won?
Speaker 7 (11:42):
Well, I had the I'm talking about Knox locks.
Speaker 2 (11:46):
Yeah, no one cares about that.
Speaker 5 (11:47):
So one of the games you picked Philly Tampa on. Yeah,
I've come picked Baltimore Kansas City wrong. I'll be honest
with you.
Speaker 4 (11:54):
I'm throwing a flag on our pick segment in general,
just because of the whole money line and crap that
you guys have entered into the conversation.
Speaker 5 (12:03):
Which why it's fair. You get two points if you
hit it, you get you know, minus too if you don't.
And at the end of the year we will go
based off win percentage.
Speaker 4 (12:11):
I'm not sure that everybody knows that there should be
minus two on losses.
Speaker 2 (12:15):
Right, say no one knows. I'm keeping the accounting of this.
I've been. It's been on the up and up. It's
all for to everyone to see.
Speaker 6 (12:22):
Okay, I mean, what's your problem, Jonas?
Speaker 7 (12:26):
I just I just I just mad.
Speaker 6 (12:27):
You're just mad.
Speaker 5 (12:28):
Levar's twenty and seven right now, I'm seventeen and seven,
and then there's Jonas coming up the rear. Just a
game above five hundred.
Speaker 4 (12:35):
Yeah, but you know what, doing it the old fashioned way,
doing it the way it should be done, like just
against the spread. Ats All right, That's how I do it.
And I don't know if I'll be picking Baltimore anytime soon.
And by the way, why did you of all the
quarterbacks you mentioned that Baltimore should sign, why does it
have to be Jameis Winston or trade for Why does
(12:56):
it have to be Jamis?
Speaker 5 (12:56):
Well, I think Jameis Winston is the best backup that's currently.
I mean, they don't have any plants on playing them,
and they just benched Russ.
Speaker 2 (13:04):
I assume that Jackson Dark gets hurt, Russell goes back in.
Speaker 5 (13:06):
So if that's the case, and you're the Giants who
can get something in exchange for Jamis Winston, do.
Speaker 1 (13:11):
It did y'all find out to be pretty curious that
they won soon as they put Jackson Dart in.
Speaker 2 (13:18):
I don't know, I I you know, I watch that.
Speaker 5 (13:22):
We'll see, We'll see. It wasn't any dominating performance by
any means. You know, he played good enough to get
the win. I don't know it was. I thought it
was more of a dominant performance by the Giants defense
sure than anything else in that game. Okay, and he
threw for one hundred and eleven yards.
Speaker 6 (13:41):
Man, it wasn't.
Speaker 2 (13:45):
I get it.
Speaker 5 (13:46):
But like, come on, like everyone's gonna make a big
deal about it. He barely threw for over one hundred yards.
Speaker 1 (13:52):
In my mind, it's more so about the storylines that
are created around the guy they took out versus the
storyline of the guy they put in.
Speaker 4 (14:04):
Sweet dance moves. You know, he's all all chained up,
by the way. Nice weekend for Old Miss in general, you.
Speaker 6 (14:10):
Know, yes, it was. That was a big one for
Old Miss.
Speaker 1 (14:13):
Big win, big and for and for Lah you know, damn, what.
Speaker 2 (14:22):
Do you mean by that?
Speaker 6 (14:25):
I don't know. Doesn't she date the linebacker from the
other team?
Speaker 2 (14:28):
What do you mean by that?
Speaker 7 (14:29):
Yeah? I'm sorry, I just a cartoon popped up on
my phone.
Speaker 1 (14:35):
I'm trying to whoa, Oh my god, is that a
funny dip? That is a funny dip there, Boll. I
could relate to him.
Speaker 6 (14:53):
I definitely could relate var some of the most bizarre.
Speaker 7 (15:00):
Stuff on social media that.
Speaker 6 (15:03):
Hey it's so good. Hey he took a bite out
of that thing. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (15:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (15:17):
So.
Speaker 4 (15:18):
Also the Molik Neighbors injury, Uh not really absolutely do
you blame that on the turf or that.
Speaker 5 (15:27):
There's a great case to blame the turf there In
MetLife it was a fourteen acls and achilles have been injured.
I forget someone put something out on social media, but
it's absurd. At some point they need to look into it.
But you know, the powers that be don't want to
invest any more money. It is what it is, I guess.
Speaker 4 (15:46):
I mean, they got two NFL teams playing there. They
don't make it enough cash that meant life to be.
Speaker 2 (15:51):
Able to forget about all the events and different things
they do.
Speaker 5 (15:53):
And I think that's the issue is they don't feel
like they'd be able to maintain the grass through the
seasons if they're pub out all these other events too.
Speaker 2 (16:01):
Concerts, et cetera.
Speaker 4 (16:03):
Yeah, well that's uh, they are awaiting the results, but
uh it is feared that he is a torn acl
so and no good. Yeah yeah, not good at all.
Speaker 5 (16:16):
And may have played a factor by the way into
the low passing numbers. You know, it's but I look
at that, I just go can we just pump the brakes?
It was the giants first win. You know, they had
a great celebration together Brian Dable and Jackson Dart and
you feel happy for him. He definitely brings more of
a running element to it, more physicality as a runner.
(16:37):
But I also think that that could get him in trouble. Now,
this isn't college football. Somebody's hits he's gonna take. He's
got sacked what five times? I mean, eventually it gets
to you. So it looked good in week one. Congrats
to the Giants, congrats to him his first win. But
I would don't want to act like all of a sudden,
the level of play that they got at the quarterback
(16:58):
smile was much better.
Speaker 2 (16:59):
There was and that wasn't the difference for me in
this game.
Speaker 1 (17:02):
Man.
Speaker 4 (17:02):
Also, I don't know, uh, I don't know how long
it's gonna last because I don't know how Cam Scataboo,
Cam'scataboo's fun, man's fun. I just don't know how long
he's get old enough because all he wants is contact.
Like that's he's he knows one speed.
Speaker 6 (17:19):
He's built for it. Though, like you can't you can't
say how long is it?
Speaker 1 (17:23):
That's like wondering how long is a hammer going to last?
Hammer in all them nails, Like Scataboo's built for that.
Speaker 7 (17:29):
Man, Okay, I just you know, I know that that.
Speaker 6 (17:33):
Young man is he is something special, isn't he. Boy?
Speaker 1 (17:38):
He's like like watch him for some Monday motivation. You
know that dude, he's that that's what you call loving
what you're doing. That dude loves what he does. I
love that. Some people get so complacent. Man, that dude
he wants it, you know, because because it's like, here's
my opportunity. Like god Lee, Like I love players like that.
(18:02):
I love that type of player.
Speaker 6 (18:03):
Man.
Speaker 2 (18:04):
He's been running like that since high school.
Speaker 6 (18:06):
Crazy, So that's.
Speaker 2 (18:07):
Fun to watch that.
Speaker 5 (18:07):
But yeah, again, like we'll look at their schedule ahead
and that's a tough division. You seem to be all
in Jonas, like you seem to want to like just
go ahead and stoke the flames and.
Speaker 7 (18:19):
Just run with this thing, which one Jackson dark.
Speaker 1 (18:24):
No.
Speaker 4 (18:25):
I mean, listen, you know, he's he's got a little
something to him, like it does feel like there's a
little juice there. It felt like it gave him some
sort of a boost. He's going to get the opportunity
to be the guy. But I don't think you look
at that game and go all right, that's that's you
know for sure? What you know what the Giants can
expect moving forward to be successful and win games. I mean,
(18:48):
eventually he's going to have to, you know, throw the
ball downfield. And not having the leak neighbors there. I
wonder what that does. But it did feel like there
was a little bit of energy in the building there.
And look on the other side, the Chargers lose another
Joe All gets injured, so now both their tackles at
the start of the year are going into the season
(19:10):
or both out with Rashaun Slater and Joe All now
out for you know, hovery many games with the high
ankle sprain. So the Chargers didn't play great. I don't
think the Giants are are are going to win a
bunch of games because of Jackson Dart. I just think
that at least there's some energy and a little bit
of hope for the future there, you know.
Speaker 5 (19:27):
So yeah, well that's that can die down sometimes when
that depends, it depends, by the way, depending. The Prostate
Cancer Foundation are here to remind you that health is
a long game and screening for prostate cancer is easier
than ever. I said, well, blood tests can lead to
better treatment options and better outcomes a little more at
depend dot com.
Speaker 7 (19:43):
Look at that. Look at that.
Speaker 4 (19:45):
See I mean it's it's almost like you're an Olympian
pulling that off. You know, it's almost like you like
you're able to pull that off. It's incredible. And by
the way, if you ever wanted to try an Olympic

(20:09):
is now rubbing it in, all right, they're now letting
everybody know they're better at this than you, and nobody
can do anything about it. In the NFL, that's yours
right here on FSR.

The crown is yours, so the Philadelphia Eagles get it
done yesterday. It never looks pretty, but they've won twenty
of their last twenty one dating back to last year.
(21:41):
They are undefeated. I think Nick Sirianni joins a select
crew of like three or four coaches in NFL history
who have started their first four seasons at.
Speaker 7 (21:49):
Four to zero. Just crazy run that they've been on.
Speaker 4 (21:53):
And they go into Tampa Bay and they win yesterday,
and there are some new wrinkles added to the tush push,
all right, some new new things that they've they've come up.
Speaker 2 (22:04):
With that's really gonna piss off people.
Speaker 4 (22:06):
Well, Nick Sirianni, probably knowing that what the conversations are
surrounding the toush push, spoke about it with the media afterwards.
Speaker 6 (22:15):
Is off the touch push today, including the touchdown?
Speaker 7 (22:18):
How long you've been holding?
Speaker 6 (22:19):
None of those?
Speaker 7 (22:19):
And who came up with those plays on.
Speaker 6 (22:21):
Top of the touch?
Speaker 10 (22:22):
Yeah, I won't cit into that. Obviously, everything we do
is as a team effort. But it's an exciting play.
Makes it pretty exciting, right, I mean I saw when
we were coming in over here, I'm watching h Ireland game, Ireland.
I'm watching then Ireland game, and I see this commercial.
I'm pepsi of going, hey went in Philly and they're
(22:43):
I don't know, do you guys see this commercial and
they're sneaking it like people like this play. I don't
really know what to say. And then there's some things
off of the play that make it really exciting, right,
So yeah, that's my I'm not going to get into
too much more about answering this question, but it seems
like people and fans like to play, and it was
pretty exciting today to get a touchdown pass off it
(23:04):
or touchdown run two runs they come off of it that,
you know, make it, make that play what it is.
Speaker 2 (23:12):
Do they like it?
Speaker 6 (23:12):
Though?
Speaker 2 (23:13):
Like does anyone outside of Philly like to play?
Speaker 7 (23:15):
I don't think so.
Speaker 2 (23:17):
I don't think so.
Speaker 5 (23:20):
I just love how he's talking the trash showing the
sideline the Bakerry's chair players like, you know, look you
look at you look.
Speaker 2 (23:26):
At how they've got off to a fast start.
Speaker 5 (23:28):
Their passing game leaves a lot to be desired, but
they don't need it, and and that's obviously has worked
well for them. But he keeps the intensity up. Yeah,
he keeps his his thumb on this team. I don't
think he wants them to be complacent, and maybe that's
one of the reasons why they've been able to get
off to such fast starts, who they've been able to
continue the success they've had outside of the fact that
(23:50):
it's an amazing roster.
Speaker 6 (23:53):
Nick Sirianni has this.
Speaker 1 (23:56):
Agitation factor too, And I think he's that guy you say,
if he's on your team, you love him. If he's
on somebody else's team, you hate him. Like he's that guy,
and he has this competitive nature, like he gives me
(24:18):
sore winner, sore loser, like all the things you could
think of of, like that one guy that we all
know where you're like, broh, like he really is an
a hole, but he's actually like if you know him,
like if you got to know him, like he's really
a dope dude. Like he is all those things wrapped
(24:41):
up into the Philadelphia head coach, which, by the way,
to me says and it screams most relevant, most relevant
personality to a team to be the head coach would
be Nick Sirianni for the Philadelphia Eagles. I mean, if
(25:02):
you know their fan base and you know how Eagles
fans are, you would probably use all of the things
I just used to explain Nick Sirianni as Eagle fans,
like most Eagle fans you'll run into, are probably horrible
losers and horrible winners. Most of them would probably be
(25:22):
considered d bags and a holes if you didn't know them,
But if you got to know them now, if you
get to know them, they're really really dope people. You
would most likely say that that's not somebody if they
were if you were up against them, you hate them.
Speaker 6 (25:36):
But if they're on your team, you want them on
your team. Like they're going to be there for you.
Speaker 1 (25:41):
They're going to support you, and they're going to go
out of like they're literally going to go out of
their way, over above and beyond to be what they
need to be to you as a teammate and to
you as like that person. If you're on the same
if you're in the same arena, if you're the same people,
you're the same team. So I think he totally is
(26:03):
a personification of what Philadelphia, their fan base, what they represent.
Speaker 6 (26:09):
So and I think the.
Speaker 1 (26:11):
Touch push is also that I think there's so many
things about this this team, from Dom on the sideline,
the security person that's Philly, Don Barkley, Yes, Sakuon Barkley,
you're running back. That's Philly. Like their offensive line, Yeah,
(26:31):
that's Philly. You know they're tooth chippers. So their defense,
Jalen Carter, he's a spinner. Like they they got all
the elements of what a Philadelphia Eagle team is supposed
to be to represent Philly, and they don't look like
they're slowing down.
Speaker 6 (26:49):
Their formula is working.
Speaker 7 (26:53):
He's a wise ass.
Speaker 4 (26:55):
And and this goes and even like when he's made
those comments about the tush push and like you just like, oh,
it's almost like an awe, shucks, you know, Gollie g
and as Brady mentioned an hour earlier, he was talking
trash to the other team starting quarterback, like just.
Speaker 7 (27:14):
The whole the whole thing.
Speaker 4 (27:16):
And it actually makes me respect him even more because
if you watch them play.
Speaker 7 (27:21):
I think it was Drew Brees.
Speaker 4 (27:22):
Who said recently, Oh, you know, their their offense is boring,
all right, but like they're not.
Speaker 1 (27:30):
But the Eagles team isn't. Yeah, it's just like you
just said, by the way, the whole odds on, oh
if this could happen, these dudes are blocking field goals,
they're blocking punts, they're they are not slowing down on
the stuff that they do, and they do well. I
(27:51):
was like, dang, like another block. Like granted it was
different play, you know, it wasn't a field goal, but
another block in the return I didn't score, but still like,
how are they figuring out ways to dominate teams out
there on the field weekend and week out? I mean,
(28:11):
Philly Man, Philly gotta be worried about them.
Speaker 4 (28:15):
Kind of a rough couple of weeks for Tampa's special
teams unit.
Speaker 6 (28:19):
You know, two weeks in the road they gave up
the blocks.
Speaker 7 (28:22):
Not great. Chase mclo the way, how many blocks with yesterday?
Speaker 2 (28:26):
Two three?
Speaker 7 (28:27):
I think so, I think it was two two.
Speaker 5 (28:29):
I mean, obviously the Chicago Las Vegas skin that was
a big one. I'm trying to get a sense for
what exactly is happening.
Speaker 6 (28:36):
They didn't figure something out. There's a glitch, there's a.
Speaker 5 (28:39):
Little differences in Chicago. Las Vegas was an outside rusher.
Speaker 6 (28:44):
It was outside rush one.
Speaker 5 (28:46):
It was almost like Carlson took too long to actually
like get the kick off.
Speaker 2 (28:51):
It was on.
Speaker 1 (28:52):
I just think once you see what took place, they
they accosted the guard to get those field goal blocks
in the weeks prior.
Speaker 6 (29:02):
Now, what are you gonna do.
Speaker 1 (29:04):
You're gonna try to do something that actually protects that
a gap in that guard because they're going through the
guard to get to that ball. So if you're doing that,
there's a chance that that edge might be shorter than
what it was before you started seeing these guys plow
(29:24):
through the guard and that a gap. So I felt like, man,
when I saw the guy come from the outside and
get to the ball and was able to knock it
down like that, it was because there's probably some overcompensating
that's going on. They're probably stepping harder to the inside.
Just a possibility. I mean, I don't know that to
be factual, but just assuming it's like, okay, it's a
(29:48):
you can if you can dip and rip through on
that edge and you get a good jump, that's a
shorter it's a shorter distance to go to get to
the ball to the blo point then it would have been.
If it's a normal you set. You you kind of
get as wide as and as big as you possibly
can and you try to, you know, push that edge
(30:10):
rusher out and make them run the hill to try
to get downhill to get to to the block point,
it takes a little longer. I don't I didn't see
that on that block, like he can't. He knifed in
very quickly from the outside was able to get to
the block point.
Speaker 6 (30:24):
So if there.
Speaker 1 (30:25):
Could be an impact, the cheat code could be you
gotta beat the hell out of that guard. And if
you can overwhelm that guard, then you're forcing these these
special teams, these these field goal kickers, field goal units.
They gotta figure out how to be more stout to
the inside, otherwise you are going to start seeing more
(30:46):
blocks from the edges.
Speaker 2 (30:49):
To your point.
Speaker 5 (30:49):
I the one thing I noticed that they're like a
couple of teams did they were having. If there's like
two guys who are on that like wing protector, the
side guy he goes to kind of like knife through,
but he jumps, and in order.
Speaker 6 (31:03):
To stop him, you gotta lean into him.
Speaker 5 (31:06):
Well not even just lean, he almost has to completely
like shift his body to where it creates that tighter
edge for the outside rusher or they.
Speaker 6 (31:15):
Want to get it.
Speaker 1 (31:16):
That guy that jumps through that gap, he's going to
get there if the outside guy doesn't step in to
hit him. He's going it's it's a It is an
open gap if that guy doesn't close it down to
the outside, so you're you're creating a dilemma.
Speaker 6 (31:33):
It's a dilemma, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (31:35):
And then you got the one guy, like when you
had Jalen Carter and Davis going through the same gap.
You got one dude that's just freaking obliterating the guy
dang the guard, and then you got another guy pushing
through the A gap. The Sinner's got his head down,
so all you got to do is be able to
blow that guard back and get your hands up. And
(31:58):
then the guy that's right behind him go through the
A gap and he's got a chance to get to
the block point. I think they found the glitch, and
I just wonder, are you able or will they be
able to continue to possibly be able to do that,
Like you got a guy as big as Davi as
you probably have to have the personnel that's able to
execute it, obviously, But if you got guys that are
(32:20):
tall and they're big like that, and they can push
through that guard and the next guy can push through
that A gap, you might see more blocked field goals.
You might see more blocked punts as this season continues
to wear.
Speaker 4 (32:34):
On on the subject of the Eagles who are blocking
kicks and winning games.
Speaker 7 (32:40):
Can I read a quote to you guys. See what
you read?
Speaker 6 (32:43):
See that shoo says Adidas.
Speaker 7 (32:45):
Well let me read you See this quote.
Speaker 4 (32:47):
It says, if you're not welcomed, not listen to quietly withdraw,
don't make a scene, shrug your shoulders and be on
your way. That is from uh, that's profound. Yeah, that's
from A. J. Brown yesterday after the game A game
on and so this is not the first time A. J.
Brown has maybe had a complaint or two about involvement
(33:10):
in the offense that played out a little bit last year.
But to aged Brown's point, He's got fourteen catches in
four games.
Speaker 7 (33:18):
So I don't know if you get that one game.
Speaker 4 (33:22):
I mean, I mean, I think I think you know,
Puka Nakua or Jake ferguson't have done that in a
game this year. It just like so that that is
something to at least monitor. That'll be something that I'm
sure Nick Sirianni is going to be asked to.
Speaker 1 (33:38):
He threw out some shape with some straight up profound poetry.
Speaker 6 (33:43):
God dang. Read it again, Read it again.
Speaker 1 (33:46):
Joe's one might don't one must be true to thineself?
Speaker 6 (33:50):
What read it again?
Speaker 4 (33:52):
If you're not welcomed, not listen to quietly withdraw Wow,
don't make a scene, shrug your shoulders and be on
your way.
Speaker 6 (34:01):
That sounds like my sex life. Damn Yeah, Bear gets
a blue sho aj What you mean that, aj?
Speaker 1 (34:17):
Youberg get you some blue shoo AJM?

Speaker 7 (36:07):
What do we got?
Speaker 4 (36:09):
You guys are traveling running any weirdos in the airport.
Speaker 1 (36:15):
I'm stranded. I got stranded in Pennsylvania, so I'm still
here really and there's no flights out, so I might
be stranded until tomorrow. As well, I think I might
have to drive to Philly. So that's I guess that's
an ir in itself. But no, I haven't running into
any weirdos.
Speaker 7 (36:35):
Why because of weather or what's what's the issue?
Speaker 1 (36:39):
Just nothing is available, like literally like nothing is available
to fly out on. Everything is booked solid.
Speaker 2 (36:48):
This is every week solid.
Speaker 1 (36:50):
No. I mean this is the first time I've run
into not being able to get out.
Speaker 6 (36:54):
So I had a flight. I had a flight, and
I wasn't going.
Speaker 2 (36:59):
Yeah man, yeah, man, You're never going to leave that place. Huh.
Speaker 6 (37:02):
Well, I was trying to go home. Q.
Speaker 1 (37:06):
I clearly was ready to go home yesterday, like yesterday
was the day to get out, and I wasn't going
to make the connection. I will say that is a
very stressful situation trying to make your connections these days
getting into state college. So anyways, I'm want to draft
to Philly, draft to Jersey, and fly out of Philly.
Speaker 2 (37:31):
I'm not gonna try.
Speaker 5 (37:33):
I don't take this as a shot, okay, but whenever
I visit a campus and it's hard to get there,
I think to myself, if I was a recruit, or
if I was a recruit's parents, I would almost hold
it against that school, I'd almost say like, like this
is too much, this is a nightmare. I don't have
to deal with this. There's other places that have similarities.
And you know, unless you're really in love with it,
(37:55):
it's like, I don't take.
Speaker 1 (37:56):
It the wrong way. When I lived in Pittsburgh, I
thought it was cool. All right, we're we're right up
on it. We can drive here. Everybody can get there
if you're from Philly, same thing, Jersey, same thing. But
living out of town now, living in la it's very,
very It's an all day affair to try to get there.
Speaker 6 (38:16):
Like it ain't no one way. It's like you gotta stop.
Speaker 1 (38:20):
Then you gotta run through these big ass airports to
try to get to the next one.
Speaker 6 (38:24):
They'll change the gate on you.
Speaker 1 (38:26):
Then you got to run back to a different gate
and try to make that one on time.
Speaker 6 (38:30):
And it's not the easiest thing. Man.
Speaker 1 (38:33):
I would love for State College to build a bigger airport.
Speaker 4 (38:37):
Man, Yeah, but that is it an airport thing or
is that specifically traveling just to State College? Like when
you travel anywhere else, do you do you run on
those issues if you're going to the East coast or fly.
Speaker 1 (38:49):
Very many other places. It's pretty easy to get into Pittsburgh.
There's a direct to Philly that's pretty easy. There's a
direct into New Jersey. So I can't say that that's
everywhere else I go. It is pretty unique to our
our college, our our state college area.
Speaker 7 (39:08):
I mean, you know, I don't know you.
Speaker 4 (39:11):
They don't have a private jet for you yet. I mean,
you're LeVar Arrington.
Speaker 6 (39:15):
Come on, man, I'm a simple kind of guy. Yeah, yeah,
I try.
Speaker 7 (39:20):
I fly, I fly commercial, and you love the environment.
Speaker 6 (39:24):
Okay, okay,
