This has got to be the last I mean, I
love this song, but this has got to be the
last day I will get my matter of fact, I'm
getting it in right now. I'm gonna put it in
right now.
Speaker 4 (00:49):
I had a song picked out, but I re listened
to it and I just don't think it's good for
a morning show. This is not upbeat enough, not enough energy,
like it's appropriate for some of the things that we've
talked about. But I just so I got to reevaluate. Uh,
I have mine? You already have yours picked out?
Speaker 1 (01:12):
Oh yeah, I've had mine.
Speaker 4 (01:13):
Stripper so no, yeah, whoa Yeah, Lorena wants more stripper song.

in college football. Wow, rankings be damned teams season.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
Yeah, it was.
Speaker 4 (01:55):
That was that was very interesting. I watched Notre Dame
dismantle USC and the fourth quarter impressive win.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
Oh nice, nice. Yeah, we almost try to give that
game away the way the miss field go miss Pat.
It's just you know, some uh red zone in reception.
There's some tough, tough plays in that one. Can we
do about that, Well, we'll get to Pete Prisco. Can
we get like a clock and I can I run
(02:23):
through real quick just so we can recap all the
i'll say upsets, but also some of the rank losses
that occurred because there was nine nine of the top
twenty five were bounced out. Now that they weren't. All
favorites depend on the matchup. But pretty interesting weekend. We
have like a clock. Oh geez, okay, here we go,
all right. It started off on Friday, October seventeenth. Yeah,
(02:45):
the number two Miami Hurricanes got punched in the mouth
by Jeff Brohm and the Louisville Cardinal, which only foreshadowed
Nebraska going on the road to Minnesota and lay an
absolute egg. Let's move forward, Old miss not the favorite
headed to Athens. They got beat by George however, they
were ranked higher at number five. You had Bama, who
looks to be one of the best teams in the country,
taking care of business versus Tennessee Arizona State. What a
(03:08):
comeback win. Sam Levitt back at quarterback. Well Will Hammond
on the other side of for Texas Tech and that
hurt them in this one. Vanderbilt, they are for real
beating the number ten team in the country. LSU at home.
That was a big one. We talked about SC getting
drummed by Notre Dame Oklahoma taking care of business for
South Carolina, But how about Utah keeping it close by
(03:28):
BYU Bear backbuyer number fifteen team in the country. They
were able to pull out a tight one there for
the Holy War. Virginia holds off Wazoo, Missouri able to
hold off again Auburn. As we go through the line,
not many upsets, but a cover for sure for Kentucky
fans as they took Texas into overtime. Memphis lost to
uap out, which was which was very surprising.
Speaker 4 (03:50):
By the way, that was a great job.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
I heard like three words you said, but by the way,
it was awesome you knowing what you were doing there.
Speaker 4 (03:58):
Chris Mortenson's son was there.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
Get a sensitive and hey, I don't you know, I
didn't mention Penn State lose and eye.
Speaker 5 (04:07):
For wins man Man got in the game though, right,
Yeah you did kick off? Yeah, yeah, lighten some people up.
What are we doing the quarterback spots? But why are
we doing? Why are we alternating quarterbacks?
Speaker 2 (04:21):
They kick one?
Speaker 4 (04:22):
I don't know, bro, what.
Speaker 2 (04:23):
Are we doing? I don't what are we doing?
Speaker 4 (04:30):
Ars out? I don't want to either one of them.
Speaker 1 (04:37):
Why do we keep trying to run a movement offense
with quarterbacks that can pocket?
Speaker 2 (04:43):
Yeah? You know, you know what.
Speaker 4 (04:44):
I'm happy for Klein de boor because after the Florida
State game, well because I was just inlisting the teams
that have climbed and the teams that won over the weekend.
Kaylen de Bor was a guy that everybody looked at Alabama.
There was like a lady that wouldn't wanted to win
the Mega millions Jackpop because she wanted to take the
(05:06):
seventy million dollars and buy out Kaylan to bore. People
were so outraged by what happened in Week one and
since then, better and better and better. Ty Simpson has
been playing fantastic.
Speaker 2 (05:18):
He's legit Heisman candidate, and all all of.
Speaker 4 (05:20):
The discussion about we want Saban back, what do we
got to do to bring Nick Saban back? And Kaylen
de Bors just stayed steady, been going through the entire process,
and Alabama was one of the top teams in the country.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
Now I'm happy for I think I think the second
best team in the country behind Ohio State. I know
Indiana has something to say about that, They've arguably got
one of the best wins, but that being said, I
just think again, I test like if we watched those
if we watched Ohio State or Bama take on IU.
I think I think they both went like, I don't
think it's you know, play that close. I had an
(05:53):
interesting question someone asked me after the Notre Dame win
over USC. They said, how many teams after Ohio's State
and Bama would you put before Notre Dame as far
as like just like, do you think you know that
they would beat them? And honestly, like, I think Georgia
would be a tough matchup. But people like if you
look at Texas A and m like, first off, they
(06:14):
shouldn't have won that game early in the season, and
Notre Dame is a much better team now. Miami kind
of fell off a little bit. Carson Beck played awful,
Like I kind of go through the list of teams
I won. Yeah, I actually like Notre Dame's chances the
way they're playing right now, But I digress. A lot
of interesting teams like Vanderbilt is Vanderbilt, like the SEC
(06:37):
Indiana after their win over Brian Kelly and LSU. I mean,
they've got a tough stretch ahead. They still actually in
the middle of a four straight weeks of playing top
twenty five opponents. But dude, that's a good football team. Man,
they're well coached, Pavia does his thing. I just I mean,
can you buy into Vanderbilt like being one of the
(06:58):
best teams in the SEC right now?
Speaker 4 (07:00):
Game say more about where they're at, or more about
where LSU's at under Brian. You know, here's the thing
is looks good though they looked.
Speaker 2 (07:09):
Exactly like I think it said more to me about Vanderbilt.
But I think you asked that question because it's Vanderbilt,
you know what I'm saying, Like if it was a
different school that had more equity build up, we look
at them in a different manner, or we talk about
them in a different manner. But when you watch them,
like and honestly, I thought LSU because now how they
(07:30):
played versus South Carolina just absolutely stifling your game, Cogs.
I really thought they're kind of building to get back
into the race of things. But man, that is as bad.
It's just not a well coach team. It's just not
like I'll flat out say it. And I think if you,
if you really want to have a conversation too about
(07:50):
a decision that was made four years ago at LSU
and USC, I wonder how both those universities are feeling
right now. About where they're at because Brian Kelly is
supposed to be left to go play for national championships
or win championships at LSU, has it been able to
sniff the SEC or a college FOOTBA playoff? And Lincoln
Riley left and leaves Oklahoma High and Dry goes out
(08:11):
to Southern Cal no conference championship, no college football playoff, Perth.
They still got to play Iowa, they still got to
play Uclay, still got to play at Oregon Nebraska. I
don't know that they have more. I don't know if
they can get through better than nine to three or
they I don't think they can at this point obviously.
Speaker 4 (08:31):
Yeah, just the same discussion about USC every year, like
they'll look good, They'll have a Michigan State game. You're like, oh,
look good against Michigan State. They're ready for this. And
then they go to Illinois and you give that performance,
then the Michigan game and then they just got you know,
run over. I mean, Jeremiah Love ran for one two
plus in that game against USC. It just feels like
(08:54):
the same discussion and Petros have been bringing this up
for a couple of years now that s it.
Speaker 2 (08:58):
Looked like they don't do any nine on seven. I
mean literally when you watch that game, it looks like
SC doesn't ever practice run fits, Like there's no run defense,
so there's no let's just purely practice like how we're
going to fit up like in a nine on seven period,
like in the box. It's crazy, like watching how many
(09:19):
times Jeremi Love just ran through the defense untouched for
like ten yards.
Speaker 1 (09:24):
Yeah, I've seen that.
Speaker 2 (09:25):
But again that like going back to the bigger question
because they think involves Brian Kelly too. Remember that was
like and I don't know if people recall Brian Kelly
is a notre dame and SC calls up trying to
hire him, Like that's how this all got orchestrated. Brian
Kelly and Lincoln Roley used to share the same agent,
(09:47):
so that agent was working on a deal for USC
for Brian Kelly and that agent was working on a
deal for Lincoln Riley to LSU. Really and when and
when it didn't go through for either side, he just
kind of flipped it and said, well, would be k
go to LSU yep okay for that amount of money? Great?
Would Lincoln Riley go to SC yep okay? Great? That's
(10:10):
how the whole thing got flipped around.
Speaker 4 (10:12):
I had no idea that that was. That's how that
stuff started was because yeah, wow, that's and that's common
knowledge or.
Speaker 2 (10:21):
I don't know if we want to keep drawing attention
to it. I think we've talked about in the past.
Speaker 4 (10:27):
Wow, that's yeah, it is not gone the way I
think a lot of people. But now also I've heard
people kick around the idea that Brian Kelly could be
gone like this, you know, if they continue to underperform.
Speaker 2 (10:37):
After James Franklin. I think every head coach that has
a big biots on notice Billie, like like, are you
are you really if you're LC right now? Hey, are
you satisfied with where you're at with Brian Kelly at
this point?
Speaker 3 (10:49):
No?
Speaker 2 (10:51):
And the truth of the matter is is this what
you signed up for? You know, they're five and two
right now. If you look through the rest of LSU's schedule,
because they also have two more ranked opponents coming up
in Texas and m and Bama, I don't think they
win either of those two games. They can't consistently run
the football. Garrett neus Myers had has a step back
(11:14):
in his play this year, defensively, they are improved, I'll
give them that. I don't think they beat either of
those teams. And they have to finish the season at Oklahoma.
I'm not sure they win that one. Mm hmm.
Speaker 1 (11:28):
It's going to be a rough, rough year for a
few programs. It's gonna be a.
Speaker 2 (11:33):
More than a few, I mean for just one. And
they fired their coach.
Speaker 1 (11:38):
Yeah, yeah, I mean that was putting it light. But
there definitely will be some tense intense I think.
Speaker 2 (11:47):
I think what's really really cool though about where we're
at there in college football is Virginia, Georgia, Tech, i U, Vanderbilt.
These are all teams who are like top twenty, top fifteen.
I don't know what the appasm at now, but all
like legit programs right now. It's it's kind of wild
(12:10):
to see, man like, how much the nil era and
the transfer portal has created parody amongst the college football ranks.
It's it's awesome to me. I think it makes it
awesome for the fans. It's gonna be tough at the
end of the season. And I think it also because
there's gonna be so much debate and so many arguments
about who should get in and who shouldn't and prepare
(12:31):
yourself for a nine and three team, maybe two getting in.
I mean, the SEC's got double the amount of teams
in the top twenty five, at least in the eight
people then the Big ten for example. So you're gonna
you're gonna be having a ground swelling argument for like, well,
it's the SEC, all these ranked teams, you know, even
they're the losses. We should get that nine and three
(12:53):
team in. Like last year that was debate. Didn't happen
this year. I guarantee you'll see one get in.
Speaker 4 (13:00):
Mmm.
Speaker 2 (13:01):
Is that good? Which will push for expansion? I mean
it will push for a sixteen team, especially.
Speaker 1 (13:06):
If you have maybe a one one loss team, a
two loss team, a no loss team that doesn't get in, Like,
is that possible?
Speaker 2 (13:14):
Yeah? I think so. Well, if you're talking group of
five right, like, you've got a number of programs. Now.
I mentioned the Memphis loss because they were undefeated. UAB
just fired Trent Dilfer, and obviously they they turn around
and be able to beat one of the top teams
in college football kind of flew under the radar South
Florida for example. There, you know they would be like
(13:36):
a potential two loss team that's actually pretty good. It'd
be more programs like that. I would say, I don't
think you're gonna find any one loss teams that get
you know, left out, but like Virginia is one of
the most interesting ones, and I kind of made their
case before. They are undefeated in ACC play. Now. Their
only loss came to NC State, which most people were like, well,
(13:59):
they're an ACC team, but it was not a conference game.
It was actually rescheduled for an app State game that
was supposed to be non conference. The ACC wanted their
teams to schedule more Power five opponents Power four opponents,
so they replaced APP State with NC State. Given the
proximity of the two teams, UVA loses, but it doesn't
(14:22):
count against their conference schedule. So right now, if you're
looking at the ACC picture, it'd be UVA and I
believe Georgia Tech playing off for the ACC championship, which
you know, Georgia Tech's undefeated. UVA could be like an
eleven and two football team and they could be, you know,
in the playoff, which is weird because I'm sure no
(14:43):
one's watched a game of UVA this year. That's my bet.
Speaker 4 (14:48):
I do also wonder when you mentioned Virginia, when you
mentioned Georgia Tech and some of these other schools, even
in Indiana, who wasn't normally before last year known as
a traditional football power or anything like that. I do
wonder if you know, in Texas Tech, obviously they lost,
and Pete Prisco is going to be thrilled with that,
But I just I wonder if now it's time where
(15:10):
people have to readjust their expectations for blue blood's name
brands in college football to make runs, because maybe these
teams aren't going to be in the semi final, maybe
they don't have the wherewithal to win a couple of
games in the playoff to get to that point. But
now they're going to be a part of it. And
(15:31):
at one point before some of these other powerhouse programs
were what they are now and what they're thought to be,
they were like these other schools, Like at one point,
you know, in college basketball, before Duke was Duke, they
were man Mike Krzyzewski on the hot seat and Butler
the same way when they went on that run. And
so it's kind of cool that you're seeing these other
(15:52):
programs get into the dance and have an opportunity and win.
And whether that's NIL or whatever else is factoring into it.
I think it's awesome because I think it's bringing in
more fans from other fan bases. You're gonna see them
get to host a couple of hosts some games and
on local sites like we got to see last year.
I think it's good for it. I know the argument
(16:14):
for you want name brands, they're going to bring the
eyeballs and all that stuff, But there's nothing wrong with
having some of these other interesting storylines in and these
are one game playoffs, Like who's to say that they
couldn't win games. I mean, Arizona State almost beat Texas
last year. You can argue probably should have beaten Texas
last year.
Speaker 1 (16:31):
I just had the opportunity to build your brand too,
you know, like just because blue bloods own the kind
of the identity of what college major college football, you know, successful,
you know powerful college football looks like. I mean, what
to me the playoffs do is it creates an opportunity
(16:52):
to build your brand, which ultimately pushes further or pushes forward.
I did that NIL can actually create more parody in
college ball, and.
Speaker 4 (17:02):
It's not like an NBA where a lower seat has
no shot because the seven game series. Man, you play,
you play one good game, one good half of football.
Next thing you know, you're moving on to the next round.
It's a big upset. I mean, it hasn't happened, but
we'll see what hasn't happened one year where we're a
bad team. Is it just makes it to I won't
(17:22):
say a bad team. I'd just say just a team
that isn't the normal team, like it's the same teams
that win it all the time. Pretty much.
Speaker 2 (17:32):
Yeah, yeah, I mean, I guess I think I think
the larger conversation has always been like SEC Big ten,
and I think you know, we've seen that transformation where
you've seen, okay, well, the top team right now, i'd
say it's Ohio State. And if it's not, I said
Bama at least eye test looks to be the part.
But like I use there too, you can't deny what
they've done. And and you know you were worth throwing
(17:55):
Oregon in there earlier until that lost eye. I still
think they're a really good football team. Like I would say,
the top end of the Big ten is better than
the top end of the SEC, but the SEC has
more depth, you know, so who knows if Ohio State
would stumble. Ohio State is like, I mean, they are unbelievable.
And I know it was Wisconsin, and Wisconsin obviously is
struggling mightily, but dude, that defense hasn't allowed a first
(18:20):
half touchdown the whole year. You know, they've I think
they've allowed four on the entire season. Four Illinois had
two of them. That was like an accomplishment in the
second half to have two, and I think they ran
one in which was the first rushing touchdown they gave
(18:40):
up all year. Like, of the four they've given up,
three have been passing, like one was rushing and by
the way, on an unbelievable design play. I don't know
if you recall this, but they got down there and
Illinois ran like a It was like a handoff to
the full back dive who then option pitched off the
edge and you could see Matt Patricia being like, yeah,
(19:01):
all right, like we'll take our hat off to you there,
like like, wasn't prepared for that one. You know. Julian Sane,
by the way, if I mean, you might asppo put
money on him to win the Heisman. He's completing eighty
percent of his passes. So just to put this into context,
he has thirty nine incompletions, which there's a few in
there that are you know, spikes or throwaways, so it's
(19:26):
not even really like a true thirty nine. It's probably
closer to like a twenty eight. So let's just say
like twenty eight actual misfires or just incomplete balls. He
has nineteen touchdown passes. Like that's how efficient their passing
game has been. Now, they haven't ran the football like great,
but it's been good enough. I just I mean, they're
(19:49):
they look to me to be right now, the most
solid complete team. Now could that change? Of course, it's
college football. We've seen it every single week. I just
don't who that is. Like. Obviously, Penn State's in a
tough situation right now. You look at Michigan at the
end of the year. It was a good win this
past week versus you dub But you know, unless the
(20:11):
passing game comes on a big way, I just have
a hard time believe they're gonna have much success for
a Saha State.
Speaker 4 (20:16):
So Julian saying four to one on DraftKings to win
the Heisman get that.
Speaker 2 (20:23):
By the way, check up, go look up Jeremy Love.
We tried to tell you last week. He was plus
forty five hundred. I think before the SC game, I
believes that plus two thousand.
Speaker 4 (20:32):
Now twenty to one.
Speaker 2 (20:33):
There you go.
Speaker 4 (20:34):
You come on, she literally cut in half. Come on
this show and your odds are going to increase. Okay, like,
come on this show and you get your chances to
win a Heisman are going to increase. That's what we've
determined on this show. Fernando Mendoz is still the favorite
at plus three forty, followed by Ty Simpson and Julian
saying so.
Speaker 2 (20:53):
Which is kind of interesting because well, I'll just say it.
They don't have a big game the rest of the season.
Like he played Gray versus Oregon, he played lights out
versus Illinois back when they were a ranked team. They
played know in a non conference and until basically the
(21:14):
Big Ten championship game where they would play Ohio State.
He you know, there's not really that signature moment like
you always hear about that signature moment. I mean, that's
the one thing that you'd hold against them. And I
think obviously if saying who's what number two in the odds.
Three if number three, okay, because Ty Simpsons number two right,
(21:36):
which again they played more difficult schedule, he'll have more
opportunities to have those big games versus thos tougher opponents.
Where you know, every voter who's you know, got to vote.
I have a vote. I'm not biased to try to
just look at what it is and say, okay, like
Ty Simpson has been great, he should be a part
of that conversation. But a lot of people in the
South throughout votes will sit there and say, well, it's
the first the sec so you got to you gotta
(21:56):
put him ahead of it. And they'll hold that against
for Nanda Mendoza, or they'll hold that against Joy and
sand because he's playing on such a team with such
a dominant defense.
Speaker 1 (22:05):
I just saw no Notre Dame thugged out at the
end of the game against USC.
Speaker 2 (22:10):
We never got to that. But what do you mean
thugged out?
Speaker 1 (22:13):
Y'all played California Love, You're not where it is.
Speaker 2 (22:21):
They're kind of they're kind of rubbing their face.
Speaker 1 (22:24):
Okay, brou I just expect I expect Notre Dame football
like I expect y'all to just be like pretty like
you know, cutting dry, you know, like you know, Catholics
versus convicts, correct man, Catholics versus convicts, Comics versus convicts.
Speaker 2 (22:41):
Here's what I'd say to that is, you haven't been
to a Notre Dame game. Most likely I have not.
Speaker 4 (22:47):
I have not.
Speaker 2 (22:47):
Yeah, if you went, and you would come away very
very surprised. Yeah, it's entirely different. Like when I was there,
they didn't pump in like noise in the cdium, Like
we didn't have a big speaker system. It was the band.
It was the loud speaker of the band, like that
was it. And so the noise you heard were the fans.
You know. Now you've got this whole sound system, the intros,
(23:09):
but they have the light show thing before the fourth quarter.
They've got a DJ like it's a it's a whole,
it's a whole.
Speaker 1 (23:14):
Y'all play California Love while USC was leave the field.
Speaker 4 (23:22):
That's right.
Speaker 1 (23:22):
Yeah, if you if you don't find y'all went over
there and taunted them. You do know that it turned
like a post game scuffle.
Speaker 2 (23:30):
But because there's a ton of bad blood there, like
allegedly Lincoln Riley has made offers to Notre Dame players
on the field. Oh wow, like to come over like that.
That's not and I'm not gonna say who and all
that and time stamp it. But allegedly there's a lot
(23:51):
of stories there. There's a lot of bad blood.
Speaker 1 (23:53):
Dang California love after y'all beat them that, I mean,
think about it.
Speaker 2 (24:00):
First off, they're the ones that pulled Notre Dame off
the schedule in twenty twenty six. Lincoln Riley's the coach
that brought up that, you know, they don't need to
go play Notre Dame anymore.
Speaker 1 (24:12):
That's crazy.
Speaker 2 (24:13):
And they haven't won in South ben since twenty eleven.
They've lost now seven of the last eight. If I'm
not mistaken. I mean, the truth of the matter is
with the Notre Dame SC rivalry, people will say, well,
they've moved to the Big ten and the try and
it's not that it's because this program is weak. It's
not what it used to be. If this was during
(24:35):
the Pete Carroll era, Pete Carroll would have never never
straight away from this rivalry. Never like he embraced challenges.
He built up SC now again a granted different era.
You know, when you're able to utilize nil before nil
was legal, you know, you had an advantage. That's why
(24:57):
the SEC had an advantage.
Speaker 4 (24:59):
For such shot five. It's here's the.
Speaker 2 (25:01):
Thing we don't we don't have to make this like
it's like any well kept secret, right, it's I mean,
we were seeing this transition because well, now everyone's got it,
and then you're able to see how everyone's able to
build the roster, build their team to be more competitive,
more consistently competitive. Like this isn't like a revelation. This
(25:22):
is what we're witnessing, and it's one of the reasons
why you've seen Notre Dame have a lot more success
and stability because Jeremiah Love is on Notre Dame. He's
not on like the closest thing we've probably had to
Reggie Bush and is Jeremiah Love and Jadarian Price by
the way, who's a hell of a back who's right
next to them? Like those guys are on Notre Dame now,
(25:45):
whereas in the past, like there are maybe some better
offers being made to some of the players. And by
the way it goes, it goes the same with a
lot of the SEC schools. Like you look at that
run of success, and people are like, man, like, what
was the different? Well, what do you think it was?
Speaker 4 (26:03):
M M Well, I watched that game at a church
hash money, homie, So there was no there was no
way Notre Dame was losing while I'm watching it at
a church carnival. I'll tell you that right.
Speaker 2 (26:12):
Now, church carnival.
Speaker 4 (26:14):
Yeah, I feel like you have a lot of those
once a year, A little fault.
Speaker 2 (26:20):
That's right, that's right.
Speaker 4 (26:22):
That's one of the most childish remarks said on the show.
Speaker 2 (26:30):
Yeah, Levar's here's the thing is, Levar's done with college football.
I don't want to talk about it more. He's like,
I don't I don't want to do this. I don't
want to talk about it. I want to move on.
Speaker 4 (26:39):
I'm done for I'll tell you what he shouldn't be
done with Home Depot. You can get tools that perform
at the highest level on every job without compromise. When
you shot Makita at the home depot, when the job
calls for the best colin, Makita built to be the
best available at the home depot, have pros get more done.
All right, it's coming up next here. Uh. It was
(26:59):
bad and then it got worse. Over the weekend for
one team in the NFL. We'll tell you who that
is right here on FSR.

Big win for the Brownies. And the other side of
(28:54):
that story is the Miami Dolphins are a bucket of puke.
Mike McDaniel, They're head coach spoke not only about three
straight losses for the club, but also putting his house
up for se so own job security afterwards.
Speaker 7 (29:10):
Three losses in this league in a row are always
tickets toll you.
Speaker 2 (29:16):
You honestly get to see across the board.
Speaker 7 (29:19):
Uh, you know the people that you're working with, and
we're professionals that need need to do.
Speaker 2 (29:27):
Our jobs better. T hate never lies.
Speaker 7 (29:30):
Find it very offensive to all parties involved. If I'm
thinking about having the job, I need to be doing
my job. So for as long as a coach for
the Miami Dolphins in this organization, they'll get everything from me, and.
Speaker 4 (29:48):
I'll probably be coaching like another hour, dang two hours. Uh,
It just this. It feels like him and Tua both
lost the locker room. And I just don't see how
this gets better. I just this feels like that's a
team that's gonna be picking real high up in the
draft coming up next to April.
Speaker 1 (30:10):
Well, I know I knew a guy like kind of bad.
I just didn't know losing to Cleveland like that was
as bad as as the Dolphins have have fallen. I mean,
I hate, I hate for it to sound like that
(30:32):
because Cleveland isn't a horrible team. They just aren't a
They're just not a good team. And so for them
to have that type of showing against Miami, who, I mean,
for what it's worth, why why are they struggling so bad? Like,
have we pinpointed why they're struggling so bad?
Speaker 2 (30:53):
Not a good offensive line defensively have struggled. I don't know,
they consistently run the football well, yeah, kind of summarize it.
It just.
Speaker 1 (31:03):
I thought this was a team that was a competitive team,
like what less than two years ago, and you.
Speaker 8 (31:10):
Think they'd be competitive in the I thought they would be.
I told you, guys, I thought they would finish second place.
I thought that coming into this season, there was a
strong possibility that the Miami Dolphins would be good enough
to finish second place in their division, second behind obviously Buffalo,
(31:35):
like who else?
Speaker 2 (31:36):
Who else?
Speaker 1 (31:37):
I mean, I wouldn't have put the Patriots in there,
and I and hell, I wouldn't. I just I felt
like that, I mean, we're not going to put the
Jets in there. I just I just felt like they
were going to be the second team in that that division.
I don't know, I didn't feel like that was a reach.
Speaker 4 (31:55):
Man. They're bad. They're worse than that, you know what.
I know what I wonder what was Darren Waller thinking,
I just, you know, stay retired, dude, Like it's not
even worth, not even worth the trouble to go and
play for that team. Yeah, they're they're bad. The Patriots
look and Drake may looks great, and you know they
(32:16):
got a big win yesterday. The Jets are the Jets
and the Dolphins are. The Jets are worse than I
thought they'd be. The Dolphins are bad, and I thought
they'd be bad. So at least they're living up decks. Well,
are they worse than your bad?
Speaker 1 (32:29):
See? They're worse than beat right now? To me, like
that get yesterday, that is a bad game.
Speaker 2 (32:35):
The Jets are a whole different conversation like the Jets.
And the fact that Aaron Glenn scoffed at a media
member for asking the question about going into Rod Taylor. Meanwhile,
they benched fields at halftime and put into Rod Taylor
this week. I mean, you can't make this stuff up.
(32:56):
And this is a team, and this is a head coach,
mind you who literally had Aaron Rodgers fly across the
country to have a I don't know, five minute conversation
that they're going in a different direction. I mean, when
you go back and listen to that story, especially as
Rogers tells it, it's hilarious. It's hilarious to think that
(33:18):
there was either I don't know if it's ego or
what do you want to call it, but the manner
in which they dealt with Rogers who wanted to come back,
wanted to play, and flew across the country on his
own dime to get to know Aaron Glenn And meanwhile,
the guy tells him like, yeah, we're not interested in
you within five minutes of the conversation. And then this
(33:41):
is what you roll out at the quarterback spot and
how you handle the quarterback spot a week after basically
saying like, this is your guy and you bench him
at halftime. I don't know that there's a worse disaster
than the Jets because I didn't have high expectations for them,
but they also have been worse in that regard. But
(34:03):
the Dolphins they're more a team that's like, to your point,
they're talented, but they just can't seem to put it together.
And there was gonna be a little bit of a
step back this year, anyboy, because again some of the
concerns with the roster defensively, offensively, up front, the line.
But this has been way worse than I think we anticipated.
Speaker 4 (34:24):
Well, I bet on the Jets this weekend. I'm ashamed
to admit it. I actually thought the Jets, if they
were going to get one, it would be Carolina man,
maybe a letdown for Carolina and they're so bad. I
don't know what I was thinking. And if you look
at the rest of the way for the Jets, I mean,
you got the Brownies coming up here in a couple
of weeks, Like maybe you could get a win there.
(34:47):
But I don't know, man, I don't. I find it
hard to see better than two and fifteen and first
year Robert sala had to go. Last year, Aaron Rodgers
had to go in the offseason and yeah, this is
this is what they rolled out. It's terrible. Man, that's hit.
Speaker 2 (35:08):
The chests are done.
Speaker 4 (35:10):
They're terrible.
Speaker 2 (35:11):
So mind you, I can't get over how well the
forty nine ers defense. Oh bet who's coached by Robert salabway,
how good they're playing without two of their stars. Yeah,
I mean, they're a job to evaluate talent, find guys
who can play in that system and who you know,
can ultimately succeed or at least execute that game plan.
(35:33):
And the job he comes up with scheming teams is incredible.
And the Falcons were one of the more prolific offenses
in the NFL and completely stimied them last night. No
Nick Bosa, no Fred would wanted no problem, like, I
just I don't know too many people. Too many people
rode off, you know, Sola, which again a really good guy,
like felt like he just whichween Rogers getting their Terrian's achilles,
(35:56):
and then the next year just no patience with any
of it. Just wild. It's wild, man.
Speaker 1 (36:05):
There's some really crappy teams out here, man, And I'll
tell you that. And LeVar picked the Jets to win
the division. Unbelievable, that's right. Well, that's because he was
losing sleep, all right.
Speaker 2 (36:15):
He's losing sleep because Trish was just she's moving around
too much in that bed. And if you've got someone
who's moved around too much in your bed causing you
to lose sleep, matches from sleep experts. They'll help you out,
just like they helped out LeVar. They'll match you with
the temper blocks adapt It's temper material absorbs motion for
undisturbed rest whoa or at least rest when you or
(36:35):
I should say movement when you want that some movement
visit matches from today and upgrade to a temper peedic
that makes sleep easy needs some motion.
Speaker 4 (36:41):

the FSR IR report.
Speaker 2 (37:49):
All right, who's got one?
Speaker 1 (37:51):
Come on, I don't really have anything for you guys, man,
bang come on, you got something I really don't. I
did not have an ir weekend, organ, didn't you? I
did when I was out Org I was in Oregon. Yes,
just got back yesterday. I had a really good time.
I mean I could, I could tell ya. I had
(38:11):
a good time partying yesterday morning. I mean Sunday fun day.
But I don't look at that as an I R.
I just I just had a moment. You know, it's
hanging out with my daughters, Trish wife. You know, it's
a good time. And so like I like got into
any type of you know, flying was okay, was pleasant.
(38:32):
There was no craziness that that took place. Took place there,
So all right.
Speaker 2 (38:38):
I'll chime in, come on time in. We were out.
We were out in Provo, and I didn't realize like
how big sugar is out there, you know, cause there
you know, Mormons aren't supposed to have caffeine. Obviously it
was ric alcohol, which there was. There was a few
bars in town, and I thought to myself, like ninety
percent or something of the populations is I guess Mormon.
(38:59):
I mean that's a straw ten percent. Like you're able
to keep those establishments open, you know, for like the
ten percent that aren't that are drinking. That's bold, bold
strategy from a business standpoint. But they have something called
swig and they call it dirty soda. So it's it's
when you get like a normal, I don't know, coke
(39:19):
and you put different syrups and flavors and all this
kind of stuff in it. So they've just got a
lot of different stuff. But I'll say this, they're ice
cream out there. Like everything that they have that's like
a sugar retreat is fire. It's it's unbelievable. It's something
like the best you've ever had. So yeah, like that
that I would say was the coloric intake, the sugar
(39:42):
intake probably higher than I would have liked. I'll just
kind of leave it at that.
Speaker 4 (39:47):
But there is something because Portnoy was trying to was
it a cream.
Speaker 2 (39:51):
Creamery on nine? Yeah, there's rock Well Creamer on nine
by by the Bay. Shout out to Gallery Gallery ice Cream.
If you guys live in Provo, go to gallery. It
opened a little bit ago. Long story short, we were
standing in the line of Rockwell Gallery. I was able
to come right over and get get some ice cream.
Go support gallery. Okay, just get in there. And get
some of their ice cream. I think it's the same
(40:13):
supplier as Rockwell because gallery needs some help.
Speaker 4 (40:17):
Oh, by the way, that backdrop the hell gallery.
Speaker 2 (40:20):
There was no way, not much business going on. Oh
it's scenic, it's incredible.
Speaker 4 (40:26):
Yeah, really cool.
Speaker 2 (40:27):
The entire thing was awesome, cosmos awesome. The fans you now,
by the way, a lot of a lot of hatred
towards each other though that environment, those they were about
ready to throw down. Like the entire show, that was
pretty wild.
Speaker 4 (40:40):
Wow, that's the way they work.
Speaker 2 (40:44):
What about a break? How about that
