(01:22):
had brought up to me yesterday, and I'm glad he
did because I had to look up what it meant
over the weekend because I saw somebody do it and
I saw people dressed as this.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
What is the six to seven thing?

Speaker 4 (01:36):
What is that cue where you like, somebody puts their
hand up and somebody puts their hand down.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
What is that craft?

Speaker 5 (01:43):
Don't don't ask me, because I think like the world
we live in right now with social media and what's trending,
Like what's what's trend, let's all do the trend. When
we grew up, there was something called being a poser.
That was like one of the worst things when you
were a young kid you could be called. And it's
basically when you're copying off someone else, right, like you

(02:06):
tried to like look like them, or dress like them,
buy something, do something they did, and like being a
poser is one of the worst things you could be.
Entire social media is is a bunch of posers. It's
the stupidest thing. So forget the trend in whatever it is,
because I could care less. What I hate about it
is like there's no originality anymore. There's no creativity anymore.

(02:29):
It's just everyone following each other like sheep, like blind sheep.
And I'm just so tired of it. It's not funny,
it's not cool. Like people did it on our show,
people do it on Game Day people. I'm like, oh,
sick sob, and like, oh god.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
Is that what mark Ingram was going behind? Uh, buddy,
is that not a no? No? He was trying to
get the airprive.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
No mad mentioned it.

Speaker 5 (02:56):
He looked at me, looked sick sob. But it was like,
I don't find this funny. What is the whole thing
in the dark? The whole thing is stupid, don't I don't.

Speaker 4 (03:05):
It's like somebody raises their hand and drops another hand.
I don't know where it started. Coop Cooples like nodding
his head, like, oh, yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
What is it? What's not? I have no idea what
it is. I don't know. I mean, can you explain
what it is? I don't know what it is.

Speaker 4 (03:23):
I don't know, like somebody that you like it up
and not know what it is. It's you raised one
hand and drop the other. I don't show me what
it looks like this like right hand up, left hand down?

Speaker 1 (03:33):
Why you got your head like that? You hold somebody?
You mean you head? What is the five? Man? I'm
assuming that the five is lower than the are you
hold with the five? I don't know. It's saying it's
over here right here? I don't know. So what does
it mean?

Speaker 5 (03:52):
Is this all started from scrilla? Okay, there's a rapper
I think the songs du dude. Okay, all right, well
there's there's a seven lyric in it, and it's now
become like this, this meme or whatever, it's gone viral
from it, and that's how this all originated. So yes,
there's you know, dances, there's unique hand gestures that go

(04:13):
along with it.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
Whatever you want to however you want.

Speaker 5 (04:16):
To describe it. I'm just saying in general, it's it's stupid.
Almost just said that cuss word. It's like, can we
not all just be original? Can we not all figure
things out for ourselves? This is part of the issue
where I feel like kids have like a hard time
like finding you know, like a career they want to
go into a major they want to go, or like
a school they want to go to. Like everyone's so

(04:37):
scared of carving their own path that they've got to
just follow whatever whatever everyone else is doing.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
But what do you want to be? I want to
be a social media influencer. It's like, dude, that's it's
not a career.

Speaker 5 (04:46):
Man Like, if it's a career for a period of
time and then it dies, then it's like, well, wait
a second, what is that? Like I was just watching
a thing the other day saying, how you know, basically,
like you can have social media influences, but the reach
only goes so far.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
You really should have yourself.

Speaker 5 (05:01):
With professional athletes, actors, they have built a built in audience,
built in fandom, et cetera. And I'm like, oh, you
mean like they've always done for the past. However long, Like,
hasn't every product we've ever advertised been something with like
a movie star or something with an athlete or someone
who actually has accomplished something somewhere else, not just someone
who pops up. It's like, hey, I do dumb stuff

(05:22):
on social media and I do trends.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
Cool.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
God, I'm with you, man, I don't get it.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
So stupid.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
It's a brave new world.

Speaker 6 (05:32):
Man.

Speaker 5 (05:33):
There's nothing brave about what people do when they're following
just other people. There's nothing brave in that. It's not courageous.
It's not brave. It lacks to me, like again, any
creative thought, anything that helps, you know, perpetuate society in
a better direction.

Speaker 1 (05:50):
I don't know, man, you un original rap bastards. Dang,
how about that? What does bipped mean?

Speaker 2 (05:58):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
I'm getting further and further behind. Brady mentioned it was
from this song called So. I looked it up. The
song and the lyric is six seven. I just bipped
right on the highway? What is who? I could? I
could use context clues. I mean that could be anything,
depends on who you're with. I mean, I don't think

(06:22):
that's gender.

Speaker 7 (06:25):
No.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
Nowadays, you got bipped, You got bipped?

Speaker 6 (06:31):
Have you ever been bipped on the highway? I think, Wow,
let's let's hope that is. Let's hope that never.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
Maybe you did the bipping and then rather than getting
me bit back away from the line.

Speaker 4 (06:50):
Yeah yeah, Mark, Mark toys the button.

Speaker 2 (06:57):
Alright, alright, Mark, I see you.

Speaker 5 (07:03):
I'm going down for I'm just say the first time
I think Mark's chopped in like like.

Speaker 1 (07:08):
Hey hey, I'm trying to watch out for all of us.
That was Jesus. Now step away from the line. You're
way too close. Okay, Jesus, do not get bipped. My
son is not good for you. I shall not bip Coop.

(07:32):
Take that back. You did not get bipped. Six seven.
I forgive you, Coop. You did not get bipped. Now
speaking to somebody who might get bipped.

Speaker 4 (07:47):
Whatever that means, Uh, you can, Oh, I gotta look
it up. You can bip your way all the way
to DraftKings for the Heisman Trophy Odds and Julian Saying
the Ohio State Court of Back is now the favorite
plus one seventy five. Fernando Mendozo was the leader for
quite a while, it seemed like, and then all of
a sudden, Julian Saying has popped up and he is

(08:10):
the Heisman favorite as Ohio State got a big win
over the weekend.

Speaker 1 (08:14):
Oh, it's a bit is breaking into a car breaking
into a car, so it's it's that's ridiculous. It's a smash.
It's a fast smashing grab.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
How's that going to happen on the highway?

Speaker 1 (08:27):
I don't know. It's a slang term several meanings, most
prominently referring to a car break in, especially in San
Francisco the Bay Area. Oh, I can't wait super Bowl sixty. Yeah,
so there you go.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
They's not going to run a car.

Speaker 1 (08:45):
It's a haircut in.

Speaker 2 (08:46):
Baltimore, we don't want it to get bipped.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
Getting bipped in Baltimore means getting getting a haircut, engulfed
englf slang bi is a whole means to pick up
your ball and quit playing the often.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
Never enough to hear a lot of things.

Speaker 1 (09:05):
You never bipped golf course, the whole uh, And some
hip hop contexts, bip or bipped can have multiple meanings,
such as referring to a strap which is a handgun. Oh,
here we go, having you know that thing where you
need blue cho uh, and being a pet name for someone.

(09:26):
So it is so bipped is what we were thinking?
It is? It is there. You see why I jumped in. Yeah,
no worries, no worries, Mark, Yeah, and good for you,
Cork continue on my son. Uh, Jesus. All right, So, uh,

(09:52):
what was.

Speaker 4 (09:52):
The expectation for Julian saying coming into the air, because
this was kind of a late announcement that he was
going to be the starter, right because not really.

Speaker 5 (10:00):
I know, they had a quarterback competition, and I think
they knew all along who it was going to be.
It was just a matter of, you know, not announcing
it too late because then you potentially lose the guy
as you're back up, and you've got a freshman who's.

Speaker 2 (10:11):
Most likely backing up. So it wasn't that late.

Speaker 5 (10:15):
They just had a quarterback competition and kind of delayed
it to not announce before the Texas game for scheme
reasons whatever.

Speaker 2 (10:22):
He's been phenomenal though.

Speaker 5 (10:23):
Like this guy, he's leading the completion percentage in the
country his pastor efficiency. I mean he had four touchdown passes,
three and completions, and I keep saying, like the thing
that stands out the most when you watch him is,
you know, everything is really accurate, like a catch and
run ball underneath intermediate and then down the field. I
mean he had multiple deep passes like right on the money.

(10:46):
I mean Carnell Tate touchdown passed Jeremiah Smith he had
another one to tate for a big game. Like it's
when they do go downfield, he's better than anyone. It's
not close.

Speaker 1 (10:55):
Feel, so he was going down field. I mean it
w wasn't hard to go down I don't feel to either.
I mean their players were behind the defense, the whole guy.

Speaker 5 (11:04):
Yeah, And I think that's the problem is a lot
of people will say, like, well, he's throwing the Jeremiah
Smith carnelt.

Speaker 2 (11:09):
It was like, all right, someone's gotta do it, but
like someone's gonna.

Speaker 5 (11:12):
Be able to do it too, to the point where
outside of the one ridiculous grab Smith had that got
deflected and he made the one hand kind of like
behind his head catch.

Speaker 2 (11:21):
You know, It's it's like they didn't have to do anything.

Speaker 5 (11:23):
They just had to run. I mean literally, Jeremiah Smith
was running. The balls dropped in his lap. So I know,
I'm advocating for Julian saying, but I feel like this
has been a long time coming because he's been playing
at a really high level the entire season and everyone's
kind of just like, ah, yeah, he should. He's got
good wide receivers. It's like, all right, Well, Fernando Mendoza
has two really good guys as well, So Rad and

(11:45):
Cooper are actually statistically ahead of Carnell Tate and Jeremiah
Smith at least they were going in.

Speaker 2 (11:51):
This past week.

Speaker 5 (11:52):
It's like we don't say the thing, the same thing
about Fernando Mendoza. We just sit there and go always
you should be the Heistan favorites playing awesome this year. Well,
Joan Sands playing even better.

Speaker 1 (12:03):
I think this quarterback class is losing its highly rated,
touted reputation that that it had going into the season. Uh.
And I look at it from Beck like they're they're
having a slight fall off. To Arch, to the kid

(12:24):
in South Carolina. Sean McDonough of ESPN, he said that
Arch is, in so many words, maybe reigniting the conversation
about the Heisman k club. Nick. I just don't think.
I don't think that this this quarterback class is living
up to the big ticket hype that it had going

(12:48):
into the season. Yeah, that's what with a lot of
teams though a lot of teams haven't lived up to
the hype. You know, I don't know how that all
plays out. Well, you put you know, are in there.
I did put him in there. I mean he's like,
that's one of the most obvious honestly.

Speaker 5 (13:04):
Like as well, the other thing I'd say is is
like with arch I don't know that I include him
as part of the class because he's eligible, but he's not,
you know, he's he's not I don't want, I don't
know if he's going to come out or not. But too,
he's not like exhausted his eligibility. You know, where guys
like Aler have or or some of the other guys
you mentioned, some of those guys don't even have any left,
so they've they've got to come out. But to your point,

(13:26):
it has been really disappointing, and I think they're all.
The other thing you have to acknowledge is, you know,
for beck is as good as he's looked at times,
because there is some natural talent ability that it's hard
to move teams, move programs, change an offense, try to
get you know, on the same page with guys throughout
the course of a season, and especially as good as
uh the scheme has gone with some of these defenses,

(13:48):
you know, there are teams who aren't you know, you know,
as far as the win loss record wise, you know,
you look at me and say well, they're not any good.
It's like, no, dude, Like I was watching back to
tape from Notre Dame BC, go look at different defensive
schemes that they presented Notre Dame to try to limit
Jeremiah Love's impact or try to confuse their freshman quarterback
and CJ.

Speaker 2 (14:08):
Carr go look at what Maryland does.

Speaker 5 (14:10):
They were talking about them the other week, like they've
got some interesting like Botz schemes and coverage schemes and
things they do to disguise and just try to fool
guys like I don't care, you know, at what level
you're playing quarterback out right now? It's it's it can
be tough sledding at times because of how these defenses
are trying to attack.

Speaker 2 (14:27):
You and confuse you.

Speaker 5 (14:29):
And I think the counter to all of that is
if you have a few guys who scare the crap
out of the defense, like a Jeremiah Smith, like a
Carnell Tait, at least they should, it can limit somewhat
of what they can do because you've got to put
at least one, if not you know, two, guys potentially
on him, and so that takes away from some of
the variety that you're going to see in those defense,

(14:51):
but if they're not scared of someone man like, it's
it's becoming kind of similar to the NFL with some
of the disguise and things that defenses are doing.

Speaker 1 (14:58):
You got to pressure guys, man. You give too much time.
You try to play these little creative type of Ah,
we're acting like we're coming, but we're only bringing for
and this, that and the other. Like. You can't give
quarterbacks with that type of talent on their edges time.
If you're going to go down, go down in a

(15:19):
blaze of glory. Make him throw that ball up quick.
Make those receivers have to go earn their money quick fast,
in a hurry. Do not give them the amounted Like
watching that Ohio State game, how do you give a
quarterback coverage? Time you're in coverage, you're sacrificing the aggressiveness

(15:43):
of trying to move the quarterback around, get the quarterback flustered,
have the quarterback paying attention to what's going on in
its front of his face and on the side of
them and maybe behind him, versus what's going on down
the field. You can't allow a guy to just and
back there feel no pressure and then be able to

(16:04):
go through all their progressions. It just we're talking about
defensive schemes out there and creative defense schemes. One scheme
that has fallen flat on its face is the defensive
scheme that's in State College. I'll say that it's not
good at all. Damn it's not. I mean it has.
It has probably been the worst falloff drop off. And

(16:26):
we've had a lot of defensive coordinators come through that
door a lot, and they've come and gone from Brent
Pride to you know, Al Golden was there at one
point in time. You know, we had Manny Diaz and
Tim Allen being the latest, I mean, and all of
men came in and did well as defenses.

Speaker 2 (16:48):
I can I say this in defense though, of your defense.

Speaker 1 (16:51):
That's a hard one. Go.

Speaker 2 (16:52):
It's not that bad like you guys are.

Speaker 5 (16:54):
The last nine seasons have averaged giving up around like
nineteen twenty points per game. Like I literally, we did
all a lot of research going into the game, and
so right now, how many points do you think you're
averaging per game?

Speaker 1 (17:08):
Uh, it's not. It hasn't been a lot of points.
It hasn't been, So I don't I'm not sure what
the average would be. It's twenty two, twenty two, okay,
becuz day that. I mean, that was the biggest defeat
we just took was against Ohio State. It's not like
we getting blown out by anybody.

Speaker 2 (17:27):
No, And I know, and that's what I'm saying, is
like the.

Speaker 1 (17:29):
Defense isn't thriving though, well.

Speaker 5 (17:31):
But I would say the offense to me is what
has hurt you because it's just like there's I mean
the offense had and then this past week's game one yard,
like into the fourth quarter, one yard of total offense.
That's correct, you get sixty. You had sixty for the
entire half at the end of the game. I mean,
that's just I don't care how you cut it. And
I understand your frustration with the defense because there definitely

(17:51):
has been a step back, But offensively it has to
be frustrating because they cannot figure out how to close
out games and really do anything at this point, which
it's tough, but that's that there's a number of teams
are doing that.

Speaker 2 (18:04):
Like as Miami fans, how they're feeling today.

Speaker 1 (18:05):
Yeah, it was, I mean it looked like it was promising.
We were able to get the edges early on, we
were able to run a little bit. But it's just
this weird, this weird deal with passing, like passing. First
of all, passing has been very difficult for for Penn State.

(18:26):
The secondly, what are you doing these long like these
very long developing plays like we're watching Ohio State due
Ohio State's doing long developing plays. You know, the difference
between what Ohio State was doing and what Penn State
was doing. Ohio State was blocking, and they were blocking

(18:46):
the amount of guys that were coming and there was
no real pressure. You had dudes looking like all everything
on the defensive side coming from from the edges, coming
from the inside, and they were pressuring our quarterback and
what was it? What's our quarterbacks name? I forget his name,
grunking runken Meyer. He didn't have to speed. He don't

(19:12):
have the speed to be getting pressured. He does not
have the movement and the mobility. So why are you
not running quicker developing plays in a game as big
as that one, with as good as athletes as there
are on that Ohio State defense? It just I don't know.
It didn't add up to me, man, But whatever, that's

(19:32):
just my take on did they get better when they
fired James Franklin. What do you mean?

Speaker 4 (19:37):
Well, because I just you look at I'm looking at
it going, I mean, what was that supposed to fix
things this year?

Speaker 1 (19:43):
Was that supposed to.

Speaker 5 (19:45):
He's he's saying they shouldn't have fired him. Maybe wait
till the end of the season.

Speaker 1 (19:48):
Yeah, yeah, Okay, So that was like should they have
fired him? No, they shouldn't have fired No. I just like,
but this is one of those I mean, because the
fan base is calling for No. I don't think it was.
I don't think it was make a move because the
fan base was calling for it. I think they made
the move based off of Again we talked about it

(20:09):
with Mike McDaniel. I think you made the move because
you want to get into the market first. You want
to put your hat and arena first. And I think
that it had run its course, the idea of what
you know, they were getting from from Franklin. It kind
of ran its course based off of how management felt

(20:32):
about the locker room and how he you know, how
James Franklin felt about it, the team that is, and
his chances of winning.

Speaker 4 (20:42):
Dylan Raola, the other quarterback of note, one of the
Penn State candidates. Matt Rule is gonna have to go
the rest of the year without Dylan Rayola with the
broken leg.

Speaker 1 (20:52):
He's done for the season.

Speaker 4 (20:53):
So is he going to be I know that there
was obviously a lot of hype and him get but
is he a guy that next year you look at
and go, all right, this is this is kind of
a monster approve it year for him, I think his
third year and maybe a potential to be a first
round pick.

Speaker 5 (21:12):
Yeah, there's no doubt about it. I mean I thought
he actually was trending two in the right direction this season.

Speaker 2 (21:17):
They were one of the.

Speaker 5 (21:17):
More prolific teams in college football, And I mean you
look at that game, like I kind of wonder how
SC fans are feeling only because he goes out of
that game. Nebraska's up fourteen to six, and they even
missed a fuel goal after that point, and it just
felt like, even though the thief came in and did
a decent job, it felt like if Ryola would have

(21:37):
been able to stay healthy, I don't know that SC
wins that game. And this is a team and fan
base that I think they're wavering on what their head
coaches so I know there's still a lot for SC
to play out there. That could be that final Big
Ten team that gets in. They keep their Big Ten
hopes alive, but they need a lot to happen to
help them. But even the college football payoff hopes alive.

(21:58):
They got to go to Otsen and play coming up.
But I kind of look at that from the other
side of that conversation too, and go, on paper it
looks like a good win for SC. In reality it's
like kind of change the outcome of that game. But yeah, rolla, well,
I mean, we've got time to talk about that. I
think in general this weekend, what was interesting about it

(22:18):
to me was it reminded me of the good old days.
And I say that because we were incapable of watching
some of the games because of this YouTube TV Disney dispute,
which you know is now running into at least to
the best of my knowledge, Tonight's Monday Night Football, which
is a big deal. You know, there's ten million subscribers

(22:39):
for YouTube TV, so there's a lot of people who
if you watched you know, YouTube TV on Saturday, you
noticed like you were not able to watch a variety
of games you normally do, especially in their multiview, which
is a great option and part of their package, in
part because of Disney, who obviously wants YouTube to pay
more for the rights to their content, and YouTube is

(23:00):
kind of fighting back against it because they don't want
to have to continue to keep raising prices on their customers.
So it's a battle and we'll see whenever they come
to a conclusion. But like tonight, to me is one
of those deadlines where you're like, man, if I'm the NFL,
I don't know that I really want, you know, ten
million people not able to view it if that's how
they view live television or that's how they're.

Speaker 2 (23:22):
Going about it.

Speaker 1 (23:23):
And it's the Cowboys, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (23:25):
Big brand.

Speaker 5 (23:26):
So I do wonder if, like Roger Goodell has given
someone a call her Troy Vince said, hey, man, let's
let's figure this out. Let's come to the negotiation table.
But it did remind me of like I mean, back
when you and I play bar. One of the reasons
why I went to Notre Dame and my final three
schools where Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame, was because it
was in close proximity to my parents. You know, games

(23:47):
weren't on TV that much. So the fact that Notre
Dame was on TV, and knowing that I had a
little sister who was going to play college soccer and
I had an older sister who was going school square,
I was like, well, if my parents can't make it,
I want to make sure they can at least watch
the game somehow. You know, Now viewing is so prevalent
that you kind of you kind of take it for granted, man,
And honestly, like I think even the biases around some

(24:10):
of those bigger programs, Like I'll bluntly say it, like
Notre Dame being on TV allowed it to have a
huge advantage over so many other schools from a recruiting
standpoint way back when, because like there's fans now that
grew up they're like, yeah, that's all my dad raised now,
because that's all his dad raised him on, and that's
all they were able to watch. If you're in New
York or you're in some of these other you know

(24:31):
places where like they they're Catholic and they love Notre
Dame football, right, And that's and that's the case for
like a lot of those big programs, big games, like
they're the only ones on and so now you see,
like we talked about the upsets that occur this week,
you see that and you just go, well, there's a
lot more parody in college football. But it's hard for
you to like digest that because you know, we kind
of come from an era where the big bad blue

(24:53):
buds come around, you used to expect them to win.
That that's this is not the day and age of
college football.

Speaker 1 (24:58):
We're in anymore. It's similar people wonder why the Cubs
of a national brand, It's because WGN, like you could
watch it all over the country, and the Braves had TBS,
and yeah, like Notre Dame.

Speaker 4 (25:11):
I always knew a Notre Dame fan grown up because
it was on Channel four out here. It was always
on NBC every single week. So it was like a
little bit of throwback weekend. And if it doesn't, you know,
go through before tonight's game, then maybe Steven A. Smith
and Scott Van Pelt are going to campaign on social
media to try and get you to go click a
link to view your displeasure with YouTube TV for whatever

(25:33):
their their issue.

Speaker 4 (27:35):
What the hell was that in Pick a card any Card,
Detroit and.

Speaker 1 (27:42):
Green Bay yesterday.

Speaker 4 (27:43):
I want to apologize to JJ McCarthy and the Vikings.
I thought his first game back, he hasn't played a
whole lot. He kind of struggled the last time we
saw him. I thought, for sure, Detroit being I think
an eight and a half point favorite was going to
be a problem for him.

Speaker 1 (27:57):
It was not.

Speaker 4 (27:58):
And then line of being a twelve and a half
to thirteen point underdog and going into green Bay and
winning that game.

Speaker 1 (28:05):
Would have never saw that coming.

Speaker 4 (28:07):
That, that was the one I looked at and went, damn,
how did that happen? So I don't know if it
was a letdown from their big game against the Steelers
last week, but green Bay looked awful yesterday.

Speaker 1 (28:20):
Yeah, they didn't look good. That's that's for certain. And
you know this, this Carolina team is an improving team,
That's what I will say. Like maybe they haven't transitioned
into being a great football team yet or even a
competitor in terms of coming out of their their division
and and and being able to do something, but there

(28:42):
they at least seemingly are going in the right direction.
And and T mac is he's a beast, that's a
that's a rolla McMillan. He's he's he's pretty good at
that receiver's position. They got some guys and and you're
seeing them improve and and listen that the inconsistencies out
of Green Bay, Like that's a that's a game where

(29:04):
you say, Okay, that's an inconsistent that's an inconsistent deal
that took place. You can't transition into being one of
the more elite programs at the NFL level if you
can't win and sustain, especially in games you're supposed to win.

Speaker 5 (29:22):
Yeah, I would say this on the point of them improving.
If you look at that division, you know where you
ranking the Panthers, they're obviously better than the Saints.

Speaker 2 (29:32):
I think that's fair to say, right, they're not as
good as the Bucks.

Speaker 5 (29:35):
We know that, But I mean, I don't know, like
I think they're trending towards being maybe the I.

Speaker 1 (29:42):
Say second and best. I would, I would I would
debate Atlanta. I think I would debate Atlanta.

Speaker 2 (29:50):
No, Atlanta is better now, But I'm saying, like, I
don't know.

Speaker 5 (29:54):
I looked at yesterday's game more as a I don't
want say collapse, but just kind of New England allowing
to come back into that game where they really had
no business making it close there at the end and
they're a.

Speaker 1 (30:07):
Filled gold away, right They're they're a kick away from
winning the game. You know, Atlanta is so I mean,
it was a close game, but I still would.

Speaker 5 (30:16):
It wasn't until like they needed to be at the area.
I'm just saying, like the Patriots controlled that whole game.

Speaker 2 (30:22):
It just kind of got close.

Speaker 1 (30:23):
The Carolina Panthers have a better record than the Atlanta
foc you know.

Speaker 4 (30:29):
The way Brady framed it, it was almost like he
had a bone to pick with New England for some
reason what happened there.

Speaker 2 (30:33):
But I thought they they should have covered the number.
There's other people who fell that way too.

Speaker 5 (30:37):
I'm just saying, like, you can win, and then you
can win when you can cover, and the great teams
win and cover.

Speaker 1 (30:43):
That's a real pain in the ass, man, it is.

Speaker 5 (30:46):
It is one of my buddies. He's a diehard Patriots
fan and he's like, well, and by the way, he
had a bad year of betting, real bad year, so
he doesn't bet anymore and he always reminds me of that.
He's like, I don't care what the spread was. I
don't I was like, you watched the same game I did.
Did Atlanta have any reason for to be close in
that game. It's like no, no, I was like, okay,
I was like, so seven to two looks good for

(31:07):
the Patriots. The reality is is I still have major
concerns because they allowed Atlanta to make that game closer
than it needed to be. And when you plan a
division with the Buffalo Bills and a quarterback like Josh
Allen all their weapons, that guy doesn't need any reason
to be able to get back into a football game
and come back and beat you at the end. But
it led me to feel like, I don't know, man,

(31:28):
those Patriots they take on the Chiefs with Mahomes, they
take on the Bills and Alan like the way they
allowed Atlanta back into that game, I kind of felt like, yeah,
they're probably gonna lose that they have to play one
of those two teams. So again, all just kind of
gauging for different reasons. But the spread definitely matters, which
you know it did in our case. Yeah, plus five

(31:49):
and a half. That was a Knox lock. I listen,
I was on the right side of that. Had no
business being on the right side of that number two
team win in the NFC South Number two Carolina. Yes,
it has to be.

Speaker 2 (32:02):
I mean, I was just say they're trending in that dre.
I don't know if I like if I believe it yet,
but they're definitely trending in that direction. And give.

Speaker 5 (32:11):
Everyone that's not a credit, right, what do you call him?
Jonas the nicest team in the NFL?

Speaker 4 (32:16):
Dave Canalis and Bryce Young are the nicest quarterback coach
combination of.

Speaker 5 (32:20):
The OVERO their DC same thing, like the same thing,
nice guy and they're the nicest team and their second
in the NFC.

Speaker 4 (32:28):
And we brought it up I think a couple of
weeks ago, but you haven't heard anything from David Tepper.
He's just kind of stayed out of the way. He's
not throwing drinks at people, he's not threatening restaurant workers,
he's not. He just kind of stayed out of the way,
and look what happens. Like whether or not Bryce Young
is the long term answer, I don't know, but it
just feels like this team is vastly different and much

(32:48):
better than I think a lot of people expected him
to be going into this season. So to sit here
at this point, the halfway point and they're five and four,
I don't think anybody had this they're in position to
get a wild card, right, I mean, every in position
to make the playoffs and possibly contend for the South.
I mean, Tapa's pretty good, but who's to say that

(33:11):
they don't fall off.

Speaker 1 (33:12):
By the way, how many Giants fans do you think
we're watching the Colts Steelers game yesterday? Gone see told
you that they can't Dan Jones, you can't do that?
Told you, No, that's one game, and I think it
was like extraordinary circumstances.

Speaker 5 (33:29):
Well, they took away Jonathan Taylor and it kind of
led them then to have to have Daniel Jones carry him.

Speaker 2 (33:34):
So maybe a little bit revealing, maybe a little bit,
but I don't know.

Speaker 1 (33:42):
I thought it would be. There's sometimes there's elements at
play where you get a team's best best go at
it and things go away like that. The way they
were getting there, interceptions, the way you know TJ. Watt
impacted the game. There was just a lot of excitement. Again,

(34:02):
they were celebrating what the twenty year anniversary of the
Super Bowl winning team that be Seattle. There were a
lot of alumni there. There was just a probably just
a different special type of energy that they had going
and sometimes that energy plays a part, It really does,

(34:25):
especially in football, and they played, they played over their heads.
That was not a game that the Steelers should have
won outside of knowing that they rode the energy of
the crowd and what the festivities were. Granted, sometimes that
sounds like kind of corny, you know, because it's like, oh, well,
the Colts are a really good team. They should have

(34:45):
handled their business. But in some cases you can see
how a team would play a motivated and inspired game
that would lead to different results, like what we saw
in the Steelers game. If they brought everybody back from
that Super Bowl, do they also bring back the officiating
crew that helped the Steelers win that game? That's what
you're going with. I mean, wasn't wasn't great? A lot

(35:10):
of Seahawks fans Matt Hasselback looking around, going I should
have a ring. Oh you're talking about that game Super
Bowl game. As I say, I didn't see too many.
I mean I always see horrible calls during the course
of the weekend, But I thought you were talking about
yesterday's game. Yeah, I don't know. I don't recall that
what happened. It's just bad calls, just bad calls in

(35:32):
that game they went on the road. Wasn't that like
one of the first teams to go on the road.
They had to go as a wild card team, go
on the road and win it. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (35:40):
Remember they beat Denver in the AFC title game, Jake
Plummer and the the Broncos, and then they went in
and Ben Roethlisberger's for a Super Bowl. So it is
two Pros and a couple of Joe here, five two
thousand and five.

Speaker 1 (35:55):
Five nice. There you go.

After your sports week at happens. So it's time to
get the fs R ill report, all.

Speaker 1 (37:17):
Right, who's got it? Smoke him while you got him?
I mean, my belly is still hurting from too much,
too much red meat and four bottles of wine last night.

Speaker 2 (37:27):
Damn.

Speaker 1 (37:28):
I feel pretty good though, but my belly is kind
of jacked up.

Speaker 2 (37:31):
How's the gal as?

Speaker 1 (37:33):
The gout is under control? Medicine for that, well, I
didn't feel anything. Yeah, I don't drink very often anymore.
I feel like the drinking was kind of more of
the trigger than anything else. So I don't drink very
much at all anymore. But last night we were celebrating
Trisha's birthday, and so you know, we had we had

(37:59):
four bottles. I had some people in town, so four
bottles of did it?

Speaker 2 (38:03):
Right?

Speaker 1 (38:03):
I forget the name of it. I don't really be
knowing the names of the stuff. When was the birthday? Yesterday? Second? Nice? Second?

Speaker 2 (38:11):
Cop just wants to make everyone sure everyone else she's
a scorpio. We get a Coop?

Speaker 1 (38:14):
You know my birthday is the first? Okay, nice? What
up Coop's wife? What up Coop's wife for birthday?

Speaker 2 (38:22):
What up? Scorpios? Well, hopefully you feel better.

Speaker 1 (38:27):
Well, yeah, just as you know, you know how you
just had that like you drank too much then you
had to get up like super early type feeling.

Speaker 2 (38:35):
Yeah you all that.

Speaker 1 (38:37):
Yeah? I still got in, Yeah, still got up in, Yeah,
still got up, still got in? Was on time? Was productive?
You know? Present?

Speaker 2 (38:46):
Amazing?

Speaker 1 (38:47):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (38:48):
I got to deal with maybe one of the worst
beats of the year. I mean, my god, I'll just
throw out this scenario to you. All right, are you're
up a fuel goal. There's thirty seconds left, and the
quarterback throws you the ball around midfield. Right, There's thirty
seconds left in the game. So you're on defense. You
catch that pass.

Speaker 1 (39:08):
What do you do if I'm on defense and I
catch it or the offense caught it up.

Speaker 5 (39:14):
You're up by three, You're just defending against them trying
to come back, all right, they throw it up round midfield,
you catch it to intercept the ball, what.

Speaker 2 (39:21):
Do you do?

Speaker 1 (39:22):
Taking a knee? There you go.

Speaker 2 (39:25):
Now do you think that happened between Cow and Uva?

Speaker 5 (39:27):
Of course not, of course not, because some jerko from
Uva just had to return it.

Speaker 2 (39:33):
He just had to risk the potential fumble.

Speaker 5 (39:36):
Of course he scored, So of course it goes from
a Cow plus five and a half cover to flipping
in the final twenty five seconds on a pick six.

Speaker 2 (39:46):
I mean, you can't.

Speaker 5 (39:47):
You can't make up how cursed I am this season
in college football betting.

Speaker 2 (39:51):
It is unbelievable.

Speaker 7 (39:53):
Give it.

Speaker 1 (39:53):
You're not giving up here.

Speaker 2 (39:55):
No, I'll bet even more games next week. This is joonas, dude.
This could have less week. You could know it's not.

Speaker 5 (40:01):
I'll bet every damn game if I have to that
final week of the regular season for college football. Okay, Jonas,
we're gonna.

Speaker 2 (40:08):
Do all of them.

Speaker 1 (40:09):
Yeah, this season went really fast. By the way, there's
literally only four more games of regular season left. That's
that's kind of it's kind of sad. Three weeks away
from Thanksgiving. It's unbelievable. Yeah, it's like a very very
fast pace of a year.

Speaker 2 (40:27):
Didn't Jonah say Thanksgivings overrated?

Speaker 4 (40:29):
No?

Speaker 1 (40:29):
I did. I'm a big Thanksgiving guy. Yeah. I think
he gets on. I think I think gets overlooked. People
just skip right past rush straight to Christmas. Yeah, bad socks, man,
I could dig that. You're right. Some people are already
putting up their Christmas decoration.

Speaker 4 (40:44):
Oh wife told me to do it. Yes, I'm like,
what are you talking about? So yeah, let's start it now.
I'm gonna start it now. What m hmm?

Speaker 1 (40:52):
Yeah, not into it? Okay, I'm in the hour three though.
Let's let's get into it. Let's do us
