we've done this. We do a little something here called
coach Speak. And how this works is that coaches around
the world of football have had some things to say
over the past several days. They're going to tell you

(01:49):
their version, and then we're going to do a deep
dive and tell you what they actually mean. All right, So,
without further ado, Patrick Sweek as the host, and you
have got some clips from coaches around the league, potentially NFL,
potentially college football as well too, that you are going
to present to us.

Speaker 6 (02:10):
Why yes, I do welcome to coach speak. Everybody where
the coaches speak, but it is your answers here is
what I seek.

Speaker 7 (02:19):
So does time to play what your gypsy? Looking at
a crystal ball? I want to go for rhyming. So
we went.

Speaker 6 (02:30):
We went for the griming court here. Oh so right there,
I mean I am irish.

Speaker 7 (02:36):
So it works. There we go, checks out, checks out.

Speaker 6 (02:38):
All right, So we have first here, guys, we have
mister Mike Tomlin, the head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
He was talking about, you know, fans chanting fire. Tom well,
he kind of responded a little bit, give a listen
here on that.

Speaker 8 (02:50):
In general, I agree with him from this perspective. Football
is our game. We're in a sport entertainment business. And
so if you root for the Steelers, entertaining them is winning.
And so when you're not winning is not entertaining. And
if you've been in this business, you understand that, and
so I respect it. I share frustrations. I understand what

(03:15):
makes this thing go, and winning is what makes this
thing go.

Speaker 6 (03:19):
And with that, the one that gets to go first,
at least from the last time I did this, the
winner of last what two weeks ago, was far?

Speaker 7 (03:29):
You get to first, Let's go far. I guess.

Speaker 5 (03:33):
I guess what what coach was trying to say is, well,
I blame y'all the fans. I blame y'all for everything
that's going wrong with the Pittsburgh Steelers. It's all y'all's fault.
I'd be able to be a better coach if y'all
didn't stink as fans. You people, you people, y'all have

(03:54):
ruined my life. You've ruined my team. I blame y'all.
Y'all want to be entertained. Ain't y'all a problem? And
I don't know why y'all had a problem, but y'all,
that's what he was trying to say.

Speaker 6 (04:08):
Okay, okay, var to see you. I want to continue
to be entertained. Jonas, you get to go next on this.

Speaker 3 (04:16):
I've been doing this for how long? I've been running
the show here for how long? We've never finished below
five hundred and you wrap bastards are telling everybody that
I need to be fired. Why don't you go shovel
of Primanni's in your mouth, keep it closed, and just
enjoy the sights and sounds of Acupuncture Stadium.

Speaker 9 (04:35):
While we try and make a playoff run here.

Speaker 3 (04:37):
Yeah, I get it. Things haven't looked smooth down the stretch.
We started off four and one, we've been two and
five in our last seven. I get it. I know
the numbers. I see what's happening. But do you see
my quarterback? His face got caved in last week, his
body's followed art. And yet here we are with a
huge divisional game to get ready for, and you're coming
with me with this garbage.

Speaker 6 (04:58):
Fu well, I'm continued to wow, Brady, do you have
a response for that?

Speaker 10 (05:08):
No, not really, I'll be honest with you.

Speaker 11 (05:10):
When he was speaking, the whole entire thing I was
staying in my head was Mike Toman's up there, like.

Speaker 10 (05:15):
Here we go again. I gotta answer these questions.

Speaker 11 (05:18):
I'm just gonna toss a word salad at them and
just say a bunch of stuff. But none of it
really makes any sense. None of what he said made
sense to me. I think he was just trying to
get through it. So I really don't have anything for this.
I almost was going to ask you to play it again,
that's all confusing.

Speaker 10 (05:36):
The whole thing was, you know, we.

Speaker 6 (05:39):
Could play it again if you want to hear one.
Let's let's get Let's get that for Brady Quinn. Here
it goes again.

Speaker 8 (05:43):
In general, I agree with them from this perspective. Football
is our game. We're in a sport entertainment business, and
so if you root for the Steelers, entertaining them is winning.
And so when you're not winning is not entertained. And
if you've been in this business, you understand that, and
so I respect it. I share frustrations. I understand what

(06:08):
makes this thing go, and winning is what makes this
thing go.

Speaker 11 (06:12):
Yeah, I understand by what I said. I'm gonna answer
the question with a bunch of words. It's not really
gonna say anything or say much. But this is the
definition of coach speak. And none of you all feared
this out yet, so it sounds good, and you guys
are gonna listen to my response. But I'm really not
saying anything at all right now.

Speaker 7 (06:32):
Honestly, that's what he was really saying.

Speaker 3 (06:33):
By the way, he's gonna make a fortune being a
public speaker when he's done. That guy can talk his
ass off even if he's not saying anything.

Speaker 10 (06:41):
Yeah, right there, I honestly don't know what I mean.
He basically said, if they're winning, they're entertained. Like, no, crap, Yeah,
we get it.

Speaker 7 (06:50):
I'm captain obvious.

Speaker 10 (06:52):
That's thank you.

Speaker 7 (06:53):
Come on, Pat, you know what.

Speaker 6 (06:55):
The winner of this one, by scathing degree, here is
one in mister Jonas knocks.

Speaker 7 (07:02):
On the board. It was good, yours was good.

Speaker 9 (07:09):
It was good.

Speaker 6 (07:12):
Choke on Yeah, ACU Stadium, whatever it's called. Oh lord, well,
number two we got the Minnesota Vikings head coach, my guy,
Kevin O'Connell. He was recently talking about JJ McCarthy saying.

Speaker 7 (07:27):
Apparently he is symptom free. What does that mean? Give
a listen.

Speaker 10 (07:31):
He's symptom free.

Speaker 12 (07:34):
And now the last phase, I believe of the protocols
just he needs to just have a full practice day
and that should come on Wednesday. So, like I told
you guys, I think yesterday expecting that, you know, barring
any unforeseen changes to where he's at today, and I
think just having that Wednesday will allow him to have
a normal full week and likely be able to go
in as our as our starter on Sunday.

Speaker 6 (07:57):
And with that, I'm going to pick you know what,
Brady went last year, Get to go first in this round, Brady,
go on, you get to go.

Speaker 10 (08:06):
We're scared we draft him in the first round. We
don't think he's very good.

Speaker 11 (08:11):
H he's gonna be trying to go to practice, but
we're actually he's gonna slip on some ice and get
hurt walking onto practice. So we don't have to keep
starting him, because that's how we feel about it. We're
gonna keep trying to wrap him in bubble wrap, get
him in the off season. Maybe we could trade him
somewhere and figure this whole situation out, because it's a disaster.

Speaker 7 (08:32):
All right, all right?

Speaker 6 (08:33):
I like that one, Brady, I do. And you know what, Jonas,
you get to go last on this var you're up next.

Speaker 10 (08:39):
Let's go far.

Speaker 5 (08:40):
Well, we were the hottest team last year, and you know,
we made a journeyman, household name, gotting paid. And look
at what they're doing there in Seattle this year. They're
doing a great job. And I'm sure Sam will be
practicing on Wednesday, getting ready to get another win. We're
four and eight, We're we're now last place in the

(09:04):
NFC North and can you believe the Chicago Bears.

Speaker 7 (09:08):
Are number one.

Speaker 5 (09:10):
I don't know what's going on here in Minnesota and
JJ McCarthy is the reason why. But hey, we're going
to get them back out there on Wednesday and we'll
see what happens.

Speaker 6 (09:21):
Next question, we will see what happens. Well, I'm gonna
see what happens from you, Gionas. What do you got
to say on this?

Speaker 3 (09:27):
Yeah, I mean, here's your update on JJ McCarthy. He
he's symptom free of a concussion.

Speaker 7 (09:32):
What else is the typical blessing?

Speaker 9 (09:34):
We're still testing positive for bad quarterbacks. Oh, I mean good,
and let me tell you something so good.

Speaker 3 (09:42):
It doesn't help that the two guys we let walk,
Sam Darnold and Daniel Jones have got their teams on
the brink of playoff spots and have been playing really
good football deposition. And here we are with this guy
who can't stay healthy and he's got a nine moniker
to go along with his nine quarterback.

Speaker 9 (09:59):
Rne As LeVar said, next question.

Speaker 5 (10:04):
Well, you'll test the positive for what game before.

Speaker 7 (10:09):
We Well done, well done, no game.

Speaker 6 (10:11):
Before we go to the next question. I do give
the next vote for this and.

Speaker 5 (10:15):
Hold on, Brady hasn't gone went first.

Speaker 10 (10:21):
It was just not very memorable.

Speaker 7 (10:25):
You know what was memorable? A two and o start
for mister Jonas Knox. Let the man.

Speaker 3 (10:34):
J feeler they and coming back on us baby, Oh god,
all right, all right.

Speaker 6 (10:42):
Next up on the list, we have head coach of
the Kansas City Chiefs. You have mister Andy Reid big Red,
and he was talking about winning out and making the playoffs.

Speaker 7 (10:51):
You know, give a listen to what coach Read had
to say.

Speaker 13 (10:53):
We're gonna go after you every game, and you know
that's how we roll. We're gonna try to tickle your
tonsils on every every play, every game. And uh, but
that's that's the attitude that we're we're coming in with.
Then then that you let the chips fall where they may.

Speaker 7 (11:12):
Huh uh, Jonas, since you you're on a hot start.

Speaker 6 (11:17):
Go first, it's yours, floor's yours.

Speaker 3 (11:22):
Look, we'll tickle whoever's tonsils we want, whether it's with
a plate of food, whether it's with a quick slant,
whether it's with a stee Sepagnolo blitz, or whether it's
with something else. Stick around after hours and find out
exactly what we mean, because we're probably not making the postseason,
so we got plenty of time to get exotic on

(11:45):
your ass.

Speaker 7 (11:47):
Exotic I like that.

Speaker 5 (11:51):
Yeah, Yeah, I'm glad you you was gonna say bar
I'm glad you said exotic, and I'm glad you talked
about tonsils because well, this was what I really wanted
to let you guys know, is this is the pregame
speech that I delivered right before we walked into the

(12:12):
Strip club.

Speaker 7 (12:13):
Next question. All right, we're.

Speaker 5 (12:17):
Ready to tickle topsels. That's how I want to bring it.
I mean, you know, I don't know. I mean we're
going into an adult night club, you know, Brady, Brady
makes sense of this. Let's see, I.

Speaker 11 (12:32):
Can't like sometimes it's so long after we actually heard
what the coach said.

Speaker 10 (12:37):
I forget when we were.

Speaker 7 (12:37):
Running back again, running back.

Speaker 11 (12:40):
Here's what says every time I hear Andy Reid, I
just think he sounds hungry. I want a hamburger. It
tickles me to just I want to eat a big Red.
That's what they call me. I want some barbecue. I
want a hamburger, football and tickling your fancy.

Speaker 10 (13:00):
See. But let me tell you something.

Speaker 11 (13:01):
All it's on my mind right now is a double
cheeseburger with some bacon on there, a lot of ketchup.

Speaker 10 (13:08):
That's why they call me big Red.

Speaker 6 (13:11):
All right, all right, hear me out, hear me out
on this boat here, how you had me? You had
me with a strip club? Think but Brady went with
a fat joke.

Speaker 7 (13:21):
Brady wins this round.

Speaker 5 (13:22):
All right, all right, it definitely sounded like right back,
Let's think about adult strip club. Think about food and
the strip club. And then you can combinelitude today.

Speaker 10 (13:36):
Why are you politics?

Speaker 7 (13:38):
You wanted to hear it again, Let's hear it again.
Let's hear it one more time.

Speaker 13 (13:41):
We're gonna go after you every game, and you know
that's how we roll. We're gonna try to every play
every game. And but that's that's the attitude Strip club.

Speaker 7 (14:04):
Do you know that?

Speaker 5 (14:04):
Letty, you're making them chips rain by the way, bring.

Speaker 7 (14:11):
Me some food while we do it, by the way,
Crispy Wayne.

Speaker 3 (14:16):
With Mike, it does feel like we're at the point
of the season where coaches like, I mean, how how many.

Speaker 10 (14:22):
More of these I gotta do?

Speaker 9 (14:24):
You guys are asking me the same question over and
over again.

Speaker 11 (14:27):
Yeah, I'm gonna talk and just in circles, and we're
gonna talk about how the Pittsburgh fan base this is
what it entertains them, and you guys know that, we
know that, and that's where're trying to.

Speaker 10 (14:37):
Go out there and do our best every single week.
We're taking it one day at a time.

Speaker 11 (14:40):
To focus on need to do in order to accomplish
that and execute and and they get that, and that's
why you know.

Speaker 7 (14:48):
We're all here and that's how we roll.

Speaker 5 (14:51):
And we're gonna tell some coaches talk this this, and
we're gonna tickle some tomsils along the way, and we're
gonna and we're gonna throw these chips up in there
and we're gonna let them fall where they.

Speaker 9 (14:59):
May has anything to do with anything.

Speaker 7 (15:02):
Upon further review, because how we roll upon? No, no, no,
it's all right. I'm alright. Brady gets to keep his
point here. He's on board far.

Speaker 10 (15:15):
Far gets how sweek us up on the fine board?

Speaker 7 (15:18):
Yes, come on, that's a point to guys. Upon further review.

Speaker 6 (15:23):
Yeah, he gets a point because you know what, it
made sense, It makes fat.

Speaker 11 (15:27):
We voted by the way we think you're scared of ar.
At this point, I can't stand up to him. He
doesn't deserve a point for good. Politicke his way for him.

Speaker 5 (15:35):
Oh my god, I just want to do you are
the one that said you didn't remember what he said?

Speaker 7 (15:40):
I wanted you to hear him again. That's that was it?
What is this?

Speaker 9 (15:45):
What is that makes sense?

Speaker 7 (15:46):
What is it?

Speaker 3 (15:47):
Because when I saw a pat this morning, he said, hey,
what's up, Jonas.

Speaker 9 (15:52):
How you doing? Said I'm good? How are you?

Speaker 7 (15:54):
He said?

Speaker 8 (15:54):
Good?

Speaker 9 (15:55):
He turns around and sees bar what what.

Speaker 7 (16:06):
What?

Speaker 10 (16:09):
No dump?

Speaker 7 (16:09):
Butite was needed either.

Speaker 9 (16:12):
Patrick force my fingers.

Speaker 7 (16:15):
Did you really hit it?

Speaker 13 (16:16):
Yeah?

Speaker 9 (16:16):
He really did.

Speaker 7 (16:16):
No, we didn't. I didn't say that.

Speaker 9 (16:18):
I know, I know you did.

Speaker 7 (16:20):
Why did you hit it? It was it was it
was a bit say that, oh good, you said what? Oh?

Speaker 5 (16:29):
I mean I would do it again. But they ridiculously
hit the dump.

Speaker 7 (16:34):
But for no reason do it.

Speaker 5 (16:35):
The second time only the first can't be something that,
I mean, got lee, it's a bit better.

Speaker 7 (16:44):
Listen to the podcast.

Speaker 6 (16:45):
Everybody with that said we have our next one.

Speaker 7 (16:50):
What up my dizzle.

Speaker 6 (16:53):
Dying? So we have Pete Carroll, head coach of the
We got another one, Yeah, we got one more.

Speaker 7 (17:00):
We got Pete Carroll, head coach of the Raiders.

Speaker 6 (17:03):
And he was going on saying that his team has
attitude to I guess turn.

Speaker 7 (17:08):
It around a little bit, you know, give it a
little Listen to coach Carrol.

Speaker 14 (17:11):
Attitude, the mentality, guys support one another. All of that
is what it takes to turn the corner.

Speaker 6 (17:16):
And get around.

Speaker 14 (17:17):
There was a game a few weeks ago with two
and five and I talked about the two and five.
You know the same thing. We're in the same place
at at one point, but we didn't get that game,
you know, but that was a time to turn it
and so it just hasn't happened yet. And it feels
like it's just right there within our reach, you know,
and so maybe they'll like that for you guys, but
that's what it feels like. Yeah, I can say that

(17:37):
because of the mentality of the guys in locker.

Speaker 6 (17:39):
Room and with that, LeVar, you get to go first
on this one.

Speaker 5 (17:44):
I got nothing. I don't, I don't, I got nothing.
I don't know. I don't know. I don't, I don't,
I don't. I don't have anything. I really I did.
But it was crazy, triple x overrated because that's where.

Speaker 7 (17:57):
My mind was.

Speaker 10 (17:57):
For Mandy Rie, you're your Bardes the go.

Speaker 5 (18:00):
Andy Reid took me to the strip club. I mean
it sounded like a strip club, peptop something. He was
hungry to me, I hoped, don't know, man, it's in
our reach. It's around the corner. I mean, what are
you on? Are you in a car? Are you on
a bicycle? Are are you on a tricycle?

Speaker 6 (18:16):
Like?

Speaker 5 (18:17):
Are you walking? How far away is this corner from
where you're at? That's like kind of what came to
me two and five. You know I do it too well.

Speaker 7 (18:26):
Damn yeah, mister Brady Quinn, you get to go next year.
Number two.

Speaker 11 (18:32):
I think he was having a senior moment. He was talking,
was like, look, we stink right now, I know we stink.
And then oh is that a squirrel?

Speaker 10 (18:43):
Squirrel? Squirrel? I used to coach at s C. We
won National Chip.

Speaker 11 (18:49):
We turned it around. I was cheating the whole entire time.
That's the only reason why we won.

Speaker 15 (18:53):
There.

Speaker 7 (18:53):
Wait, second, I'm coaching it chiunk.

Speaker 10 (18:56):
We just haven't turned it around. That's yep. We just
think we have not turned it around yet. Squirrel, No.

Speaker 9 (19:05):
Stupid go don't.

Speaker 7 (19:14):
Oh God Jonah save us.

Speaker 9 (19:17):
Listen. I got here with all sorts of energy. I
got my quarterback at such a great.

Speaker 3 (19:22):
Relationship with Geno Smith. I looked around, I saw Rock Bowers,
and I thought to myself, Man, Max Crosby on the
other side of the ball, Chip Kelly column plays, Tom
Brady running the show here as an owner.

Speaker 9 (19:34):
Man, this is this is gonna work.

Speaker 3 (19:36):
And then I realized, by about week five or six,
there's a better chance of Al Davis rising from the
grave and being blow off the side of the lux
or playoff run. Yeah, this team sucks and I'm gonna
retire again after this year.

Speaker 16 (19:53):
All right, Well, with the winner of this one three points,
here is the one and only Jonahs Knox.

Speaker 7 (20:04):
Pretty good at this one? Good, it's pretty good. All right?
We found something.

Speaker 5 (20:13):
After all this time, we have finally found something that
Jones has talented at. We do have a I mean
we was talking about that earlier.

Speaker 6 (20:23):
We do have a fifth one. I am making an
audible I'm swapping out another one. I'm doing a better
college one for here for a special request for this one.

Speaker 7 (20:31):
So this was head.

Speaker 11 (20:33):
Coachas automatically hates it automatically.

Speaker 7 (20:37):
Scott Frost from UCF. We are late, very late. You're
very late. This is what mister Frost had to say.

Speaker 10 (20:43):
It's broken. College football is broken. Yeah.

Speaker 17 (20:47):
I don't know if you'll get that honest answer from everyone,
but everyone would agree if they were honest. You know,
you just got to try to play a game as
best you can. And you know, Terry and people here
done unbelievable job getting us on a level playing field
from with everybody else from a rev share standpoint, that
gives us a great chance we need to keep pushing

(21:10):
forward and trying to do even more.

Speaker 6 (21:13):
And with that, that was Scott for us. There are
you getting to go first here, Brady? Since you made
the special request here, you get to you first.

Speaker 10 (21:22):
Yeah. I think it's like we don't have any money.
This is what's broken, all right. I'll standing up here
right now.

Speaker 11 (21:28):
I've got to talk to these parents, these players, these agents.
They all want more money. We don't have enough. Man,
I got nothing. My pockets are empty. I just gave
a kid a stick of gum trying to get it
to come here. But that's that's the life I'm living
in right now.

Speaker 10 (21:43):
Some call it broken.

Speaker 11 (21:44):
I'll just say we're broke, flat out broke. Y'all need
to help me out. Donate some damn money.

Speaker 7 (21:52):
All right?

Speaker 6 (21:53):
I dig it, And you know what, I'm gonna queue
it up because var you want me to que this
soup free?

Speaker 7 (21:57):
I got You's go.

Speaker 17 (21:58):
It's broken college football broken.

Speaker 5 (22:01):
Blue Choo can help you with that. All you gotta
do is use that tablet. That's a cheap crow for
your crotch. Next question, you're Jonas zero, Yes, snap into
a bluetoo.

Speaker 9 (22:23):
Can we can we pause this? I gotta go talk
to LeVar real quick.

Speaker 7 (22:26):
Oh wow, oh I got.

Speaker 9 (22:33):
That's it.

Speaker 6 (22:35):
I concede and the winner of the final round here
is there one Penn states only LeVar?

Speaker 7 (22:44):
Harrington?

Speaker 10 (22:45):
Did you even say anything?

Speaker 9 (22:47):
Yes, Harrington?

Speaker 7 (22:55):
LaVar g is second place. You don't want us to
have nothing? So why ya like that? Why do you
act like that? I don't want us to have nothing
at all?

Speaker 10 (23:04):
Quinn?

Speaker 3 (23:05):
Uh So, Patty's fine is for every time he kisses
Levar's ass.

Speaker 9 (23:10):
Basically, is that what we've determined here?

Speaker 11 (23:12):
Well, it's more it's a scared fine. All right, you
can't play scared. I believe that he's he.

Speaker 5 (23:18):
Just doesn't want to make LeVar angry or what. I'm
like this upset black man. I'm a hostile.

Speaker 10 (23:26):
I mean, look, you can hostel and a number of
I have.

Speaker 7 (23:31):
I have and they ain't even see me. I don't
know why am I considered that?

Speaker 10 (23:37):
I don't know.

Speaker 11 (23:38):
I think it's because you are very animated when you talk.
Sometimes when you're passionate about something.

Speaker 5 (23:43):
I'm just I'm just talked passionately though it's false enthusiastical,
but but.

Speaker 11 (23:47):
Usually you're pretty chill, so that it's like this, you
ever see the dude who like they walk super slow,
So then when you see them run, you're like, oh,
he's pretty fast, and you're like, he's not that fast. Actually,
it's just he walks, so I am slow when I
see it. It's the same thing when you talk, you're always.

Speaker 10 (24:04):
So like chill, hear and all stuff, and like when you.

Speaker 11 (24:07):
Really get excited to get animated. So then it's like
people are like, oh, he really like me about.

Speaker 7 (24:12):
Something, means he's hostile. Can I get on this goddang flight?

Speaker 10 (24:16):
Now?

Speaker 11 (24:16):
How a woman saw that on a phone from Delta?
I have no idea. Whoa yeah, man, yeah, that's a
real story.

Speaker 10 (24:25):
I also think you might have threatened her life, but
that's neither here nor there.

Speaker 5 (24:28):
I never do that, never do that. But with the bluetooe,
you know, I mean, you can threaten lives, you.

Speaker 10 (24:35):
Know what I mean. I'm just.

Speaker 5 (24:37):
You have to say it's broken, you know what I mean, dangerous. Indeed,
I did pull my I did pull my burner strap out.
I mean I could be hostile pulled it out the
other day.

Speaker 7 (24:48):
I told you all the other.

Speaker 5 (24:49):
Week, Paul, this dude pulled up on me when I
was getting gas on my way in here.

Speaker 7 (24:54):
Look, He's like, hey, man, I know you don't know me.

Speaker 10 (24:58):
I pull.

Speaker 5 (25:00):
I said, hey, brouh, and you don't know me. He
was like, oh, oh got a problem here.

Speaker 10 (25:06):
We got a problem.

Speaker 5 (25:07):
We got a problem right here, homie, we got a problem.
He was white, did and you called him bruh like
that bruh. Yeah, I call everybody bruh, boss, bruh. Like
if it's about to be some drama, I'm gonna hit
you with some bruh like bruh, got a problem.

Speaker 9 (25:23):
Levar's like, man, I see two of the two of
you every morning.

Speaker 7 (25:27):
This I'll need it.

Speaker 9 (25:28):
I get enough for you.

Speaker 7 (25:29):
I gotta talk to you.

Speaker 5 (25:29):

Speaker 9 (28:17):
That'll be yours right here on FSR.

Speaker 3 (28:21):
I just little little shout out if you are listening
to this show and you happen to have a like
a massage fetish, WHOA I just want you to know
that there's some good news and bad news for you,
all right, no judging, all right. Everybody's into their own thing.
That's fine, all right. So the good news and bad news,
all right. So the good news is that Robert Kraft

(28:45):
has been named a Hall of Fame finalist. Yes, so
he's a step closer to getting in. The bad news
is Justin Tucker has gotten a couple of tryouts with
teams that bad but has not gotten signed.

Speaker 7 (28:58):
That's the bad news.

Speaker 3 (29:00):
But the best news is Deshaun Watson is returning to
practice from his achilles injury. So if you were wondering,
have we seen the end of the road for the
quarterback carousel in Cleveland with the Browns, No, no, because
there is a slight chance that Deshaun Watson could be
under center at some point this year. What the Cleveland

(29:23):
Browns the practice windows opened.

Speaker 10 (29:26):
I thought, old Jimmy has them said he was done.

Speaker 5 (29:28):
There till he saw he ain't had nothing left. But
you said, you said, it's the Cleveland Browns. Anything is
possible at that position. You've said that.

Speaker 11 (29:39):
Well, yeah, I know, and that's why I didn't think
this was possible though. So my initial thought is they
most likely realized they don't want to eat all of
his contract if they're going to move on from him.
So he's got a showcase that he's healthy and he
can play. And maybe that's a little bit what this

(30:01):
is about. If there's any trade value whatsoever, they would
have to showcase that he's healthy, can play. So maybe
someone else else is willing to take on the contract.
They get something back in return, most likely draft capital,
and they'll have to pay the Lion's share of this contract.
But that would be my guess, is why this is

(30:25):
all happening the way it is. That or just like
Jimmy hasn't said whatever you wanted to say earlier in
the off season.

Speaker 3 (30:31):
So it says Cleveland stilows him forty six million dollars
next year, and he's got an eighty point seven million
dollar cap for the twenty twenty six season.

Speaker 9 (30:40):
That's the largest in the NFL.

Speaker 3 (30:42):
So it's almost astonishing how bad of a deal this
was for the Browns, Like almost shocking.

Speaker 9 (30:51):
How bad of a deal this was for the Cleveland Browns.

Speaker 3 (30:53):
And yet here we are having the conversation about him
potentially coming back and returning honest to gud at this point,
I hope it happened.

Speaker 9 (31:00):
Why not?

Speaker 3 (31:01):
Why not, like, like, bring him back, and what if?
What if say he comes back for two games and
just lights it up. If you're the Browns, all of
a sudden, you're looking at it going, oh, maybe, I mean,
you know, maybe we run this back next year. Maybe
we can get him out on the field and see
what happens if we don't like the quarterback draft class.

Speaker 11 (31:19):
Yeah, but come on, guys, we all know why he
shouldn't come back on the field. It's bad timing, bad
time where it's perfect time? Is it perfect timing?

Speaker 10 (31:32):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (31:32):
She was close. It was close. You know, it was
almost like right there. I saw her fingers going and
uh it was almost clicking and and but it didn't
pop up at the time that we presented. It's all right,
I mean it was perfect time. And uh, you know,
in some regards, just not right here right now.

Speaker 10 (31:50):
That's all.

Speaker 7 (31:50):
There's a level that.

Speaker 10 (31:52):
Should probably bequeued up for every show.

Speaker 5 (31:54):
There is a level of giving up just now. I
just saw like, yeah, just not going to happen. Oh
oh okay, there you go.

Speaker 9 (32:03):
Now.

Speaker 5 (32:03):
I wonder if they could remix this with Deshaun Watson,
you know, dropping a verse to it.

Speaker 10 (32:10):
Get a joke.

Speaker 5 (32:11):
You know, they said it wasn't time for me. I
had a massage on me. I came back because they
need me, and they played me lots of lots of money.
I got a whole lot of times. I gotta use them.
I can't use them if I don't play a game.

(32:32):
So I'm coming back to play a game soon. It'll
be this season. Yeah, they call me Dee Watson. I
throw the ball. I'm in Cleveland with a whole lot
of whoa. Yeah, I don't though. I'm just saying one

(32:52):
more time. I'm just saying no, no, I ain't.

Speaker 7 (32:56):
Really mean it. I ain't really made it.

Speaker 3 (32:58):
You know, it's a shame about the Browns that this
could happen. No, Defensively, they're unbelievable. You're gonna have the
defensive player of the year in Miles Garrett are You're
gonna have the defensive rookie of the year in Swesteringer.

Speaker 9 (33:12):
Mason Graham's also.

Speaker 3 (33:13):
In the odds list, like they've actually drafted pretty decently.
And yet this contract and this decision with Deshaun Watson,
even if you get all of that stuff. Right, if
you butcher the quarterback position, it's like you got no shot.

Speaker 9 (33:33):
There's literally no shot.

Speaker 3 (33:34):
And I wonder does Jim Schwartz get some love or
get some interviews to be a head coach based on
what he's done with that defense, because he's one of
those like Spagnolo guys who you look at and go,
why are they not talked about more? Because that defense
is unbelievable and he doesn't get any of the love.

Speaker 11 (33:54):
Like it's just I didn't realize you're just giving the
defensive rookie of the year the way a Swessenger, I
mean Jalen Walker and Atlanta, he'd be up for it, Okay,
I mean I know Abdul Carter at one point was
up for it before the poorn he was watching the
meeting room or whatever.

Speaker 3 (34:10):
Yeah, schwessingers of minus seven hundred on DraftKings.

Speaker 10 (34:15):
It's over. Yeah, it's over.

Speaker 7 (34:17):
Hmm.

Speaker 9 (34:18):
Yeah, that'll do it.

Speaker 7 (34:21):
But I just same for their season, I mean.

Speaker 10 (34:27):
Eliminated yet.

Speaker 11 (34:27):
But in all seriousness, though, I do think in regards
to the decision for him to return, two things are
at play. He probably wants to come back to prove
that he still can play. If he still wants to
make money in this league. There's an element of the
brown side of things. If they want to trade him,
then he'll have to show that he's healthy, show that

(34:48):
he's still capable. However, you do have to be concerned
about him getting injured again. I mean, he's coming off
of what an achilles, so there's got to be a
concern over re injuring that hurting something else. There being
something where like he's not even healthy again to trade
him in the offseason. So there's there's also that concern

(35:10):
where if they are doing this to eventually move on,
there has to be a thought that there's still risk
involved if he does play at any point in meaningless
games that he could get hurt and he gets they
could be stuck with him again.

Speaker 5 (35:26):
I feel like the games are meaningful if you're trying
to move in and that's the only reason why it
would be meaningful with him being involved.

Speaker 11 (35:34):
But here's the other thing that I don't get about
this is all in all seriousness should always played what
in three games? Like don't you want to let him
play this thing out? Like see what you have in
him before you want to move on from whether it's
moving on from Dylan Gabriel, moving on from him and
everyone else into the draft next year. You know what
you have in Watson?

Speaker 5 (35:54):
Yeah, I think you're going to have to. I was watching, Uh,
who who's the coach? Uh?

Speaker 7 (36:03):
Oh man?

Speaker 5 (36:04):
Why am I blanking on his name? Used to coach?
Coach Washington? Has the brother He's a younger brother, Grooden
Grooden Gruden the other Grouten though not John Gruten, Jay Grewton. Okay,
I was watching Jay Gruten break down some of he
was breaking down some of Shador Sanders film and the
things that he was pointing out. I was like, dang,
it's so obvious. Like when he points it out and

(36:25):
shows it, it's like wow, like yeah, like look at
the vision or look at the footwork, this, that and
the other. And he brought up the idea of, you know,
obviously the offensive line isn't that great. It's not giving
him the perfect opportunities or you know, situations for perfect timing.
But with that being said, he's basically saying that with

(36:46):
what's taking place, yes, she ready to go.

Speaker 7 (36:48):
Now you know what?

Speaker 5 (36:50):
Yeah, because everybody got everybody saw the is it waddle?

Speaker 7 (36:57):
Was it? Who is his receiver Tom Model, No, Judy Jeredy, Yeah,
jer Judy, Jered Judy.

Speaker 5 (37:03):
Everybody saw the whole thing between them on the sideline,
and Gruten was explaining it like here, he shows it
right here.

Speaker 7 (37:09):
He's like he was he was open earlier in the
play all he was. He was open late.

Speaker 5 (37:15):
He just missed him, but he was open early, would
have gave him, you know, a laying. And then he
starts to like show like the different reads and how
quickly he would be able to get the ball out
and be effective to getting it to an open man.

Speaker 7 (37:30):
He just didn't see it, or didn't.

Speaker 5 (37:32):
Trust it, or didn't feel it, or he said maybe
that's the way they're coaching it, which I thought was
very interesting because they said much of the things that
they're criticizing Shador Sanders about right now are the same
things that Dylan Gabriel was doing, So it could be
that's the way they're being coached. Well, I don't know
if he's It looked kind of accurate. I mean, it

(37:52):
sounded kind of like like it makes sense and what
I'd say is multiple plays though, I mean he was
breaking down the of it. That's great.

Speaker 11 (38:03):
Gabriel typically has gotten rid of the football much faster,
like I think the one thing should do or is
brought to the offense that was not there with Dylan Gabriels,
like more downfield chunk plays, you know that sort of style.
Look Shoudor holds onto the football too long. He's not
even actually able to be on the NFL Next Gen
stats because he doesn't have enough pass attempts yet, But

(38:24):
when he does, I would imagine he'll be at the
very bottom of the league.

Speaker 10 (38:28):
For quarterbacks who qualify.

Speaker 11 (38:29):
Caleb Williams holds on the football longer than anyone, about
three point three seconds, which is super long. Now, some
of that can be you know, byproduct of play action passed,
you know, seven man protections, deeper shots down the field.
But some of it also, too, is them just holding
on the football to try to create, to try to
do more, to try to you know, they're not seeing
it very well. That's more of what I see from

(38:52):
him is things are still moving fast, and that's fine.

Speaker 10 (38:55):
He's a rookie.

Speaker 11 (38:57):
I thought with Gabriel, you know, usually the ball got
out pretty quick, and if it didn't, then you saw
him holding on to it trying to create. But you know,
as far as as far as where Shador's at. He
needs to play more. He needs more time. Like That's
why I again, I go back to, what's the point
of bringing back Watson. If you're gonna move on from
potentially all of these guys because you have such a

(39:19):
high draft pick in next year's draft, you want to
go up the quarterback, why not see at least what
you've got if not one of these guys could either
compete or be a backup, you know, let.

Speaker 10 (39:30):
Him play, let him see what he's capable of.

Speaker 11 (39:32):
He obviously has made some nice plays here and there,
and and he still needs more experience. So look as
to his point of how they're reading things, yeah, no
one knows unless you're in that quarterback room. But I
would say this, like the exact same things that were
concerns for you when he was coming out of Colorado
are still concerns now. And the offensive line, you could say,
has not really done him any help. But they're also

(39:52):
not the worst offensive line in the league. There's much
worse offensive lines.

Speaker 5 (39:56):
I just think the value here is how many games
are left when Deshaun Watson is available to actually be
up and play. I don't care if he gets hurt.
If I'm the Cleveland Browns, I don't care if he
gets hurt. And the reason why I don't care if
he gets hurt is because I'm getting nothing from him now.
And I could understand the idea of wanting to see

(40:18):
what you can get out of your rookies, but I
would also add that, well, he's worth more than both
of them put together, two, three, four times. So spicy,
I'm not being spicy about it.

Speaker 10 (40:30):
Hold on.

Speaker 11 (40:30):
The one problem is is if he does get hurt,
he's still on your roster.

Speaker 10 (40:37):
You can't trade him.

Speaker 5 (40:39):
Yeah, I mean, I don't see that as a problem.
I see it as the biggest problem is you're getting
zero now.

Speaker 10 (40:45):
He has an eighty point seven million dollars cap it
next year.

Speaker 5 (40:48):
You're getting zero from him now. That's all I'm saying,
Like we're so late, but and I get it, But yeah,
we're getting You know, you're getting nothing from him now.
I put him in and see if I could get
some value. If you get hurt, you get hurt.

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today.
