with you here. Uh we do have you know a
situation to address here on the show, the Bill Belichick
Jordan Hudson fiasco that has gone on that has gotten

(00:59):
now asco based on some of the scenes responses details
of her portfolio. We talked yesterday about how The New
York Post made sure to point out that her mom
worked at a sex shop following the enclosure of their
fishing bsiness. Yeah, she was like an antique sex toy

(01:22):
shop or something like that.

Speaker 4 (01:24):
Well, what's I mean? They aren't a lot of antiques
that you know. Yeah, people are freaky back.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
In the day.

Speaker 3 (01:29):
That's a good point.

Speaker 4 (01:31):
I'm just saying, there all lonely and hey like a
farm and figure out things to do.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
Hey, to you, that's a chandelier. To me, that's a
table for five.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 4 (01:44):
To Jonas? You know, he looks at that as a
pepper mill?

Speaker 1 (01:47):
How long you use that one, Jonas?

Speaker 3 (01:50):
It's like, but listen that that's part of her, that's
part of her background, and so that was people made
sure to point that out.

Speaker 4 (01:59):
It's also does that have to be attracted to then her?
Like now she's all of a sudden working at the
antique sex shop? You know what I mean? Is that
even verified? Is that true?

Speaker 3 (02:09):
That was the reporting from the New York Post And
I'm assuming so again, is that true? I don't know,
shaking question the New York Post. Have you been to
that sex shop? Is that where you're shaking your head? Oh?

Speaker 4 (02:20):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (02:21):
Do my Christmas shopping there?

Speaker 1 (02:22):
No?

Speaker 5 (02:22):
Yeah, from what I understand, I believe she owns the shop.
Am I wrong on that? I'm looking for verification, but.

Speaker 4 (02:30):
Based on your lack of response last nightly, yes, there's
a chance. Based on that responds, what you're talking about?
It was a little delayed.

Speaker 5 (02:38):
Yes, she owns the shop.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
Okay, good for her.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
So now man.

Speaker 5 (02:46):
In Hancock, Maine. There you go.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
Is it really what you say?

Speaker 5 (02:50):
Oh no, it's actually in Cape Cod Provinceton. Is the shop.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
You thought it was? I'd be like high end? Huh.
This is like high end sex toys tang and.

Speaker 5 (03:00):
A museum sex toy shop and museum.

Speaker 3 (03:06):
Hey man, it's an honest living Now. This is also
spilled over into other members of the North Carolina the
North Carolina Football program. Mike Lombardi, who's the Is his
title GM? There? Is that basically what they're calling it?

Speaker 1 (03:24):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (03:24):
I believe that's his technical title. Okay, so I feel
like he's.

Speaker 3 (03:28):
Acting as the GM at the moment he was contacted.
You can tell by hearing this that he was not
expecting this call. But he was contacted by Barstool Sports
host Kirk Menahan on The Kirk Menahan Show yesterday, and
it went like this, Hello.

Speaker 6 (03:46):
Mike, it's Kirk Miniahan form Barstool Sports. Mike, it's Kirk Minihan,
Barstool Sports. How are you.

Speaker 3 (03:52):
I'm good?

Speaker 6 (03:52):
Good, Kirk Live the tape we have questions. We're trying
to figure out out. We've been talking about it. We
talked about portnoim and they go, can you explain to
us what this woman's role is in with you?

Speaker 4 (04:02):
And see we're just confused.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
Actually, I'm in a meeting right now going over recruiting,
so that's kind of what my focus is right now.

Speaker 6 (04:12):
How significant role does she have with the recruiting at
this point? Does she Is she the lead recruiter or.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
No, I'm in recruiting.

Speaker 6 (04:22):
Yeah, and I'm working on that.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
So that's about it. Kirk.

Speaker 6 (04:24):
Thanks all right, Mike Hanging, They're good to talk to you.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
An truck.

Speaker 3 (04:29):
Yeah, I've got a laugh.

Speaker 6 (04:30):
He picked me in mine, but I think we ended okay.

Speaker 4 (04:33):
So, uh could you imagine you imagine one of us
calls the other and we say, hey, uh LaVar Arrington
here it's Bretty Quinn live the tape right into like,
did did Michael Port you have any idea? Like he
was picking up the phone and getting involved in So
that's not gonna go.

Speaker 3 (04:54):
And that is a true radio professional, Kirk who did
a long time in Boston, because he let him know
you're on the air, and he did it quickly. To
where they can't be on there said, just we're rolling here. Look,
I've done a little bit of a one eighty on
this whole thing. I'm team Belichick here. Okay, we do

(05:17):
not know what her intentions are. All we know is
that she seems to have a lot of influence, and
she seems to have built up quite a portfolio, and
her mom has an interesting employment background.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
Other than that, nobia mess with Bill. Other than that,
don't play around about Bill Belichick, man, I mean, don't
leave that out. That's an important point.

Speaker 3 (05:40):
What's what's the problem here? I mean, love is love, okay,
and it's a little awkward, but come on.

Speaker 4 (05:46):
I think I think we're missing the bigger picture here.
Is this the football version of pretty Woman? Potentially? Like
are we are we missing out on what could it
could be one of the greatest love stories of all time.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
I wonder who he took her from when he Vandi
Campter ass about it at water right?

Speaker 3 (06:02):
I mean, but by the way, I do think if
the timelines match up, when he met he still had
his longtime girlfriend. So she came in like a wrecking ball.
Like a wrecking ball went to.

Speaker 4 (06:21):
My thing is, Look, have you guys, ever been to
Money Carlo. Have you guys ever been over there?

Speaker 3 (06:25):
The casino?

Speaker 4 (06:27):
Uh no, the destination?

Speaker 3 (06:30):
I swear to got it. Okay, okay, anyway ahead, I
swear to got it. I had no idea that it
was a real place.

Speaker 4 (06:39):
What I'm trying to point out is if you go
over there, this will be more common than not. You know,
you see an older man with a younger woman and
it's it's just part of the deal over there, like
it's it's regulated, it's you see it all the time.
And so I remember at first it's a bit john

(07:00):
coming from the stage and I used to seeing this.
Or when you do see it, you're like, oh, I
kind of know what's going on there. Well then when
you see it everywhere, you're like, oh, okay, like that's
what's happening here, got it. I'm just I'm just not
ever one to judge. You know, if if they want
to have a relationship, they love each other, so be it. Like,
I'm not going to sit there and try to break

(07:22):
anything down. If she's playing a more prominent role than
most realizing UNC's football program, maybe that's good for other
women out there, you know, try to get their foot
in the door and try to you know, become you
know into sports and football and operations and all that
stuff whatever she's technically in charge of. I know it
was I think initially communications and it's kind of evolved,

(07:44):
it feels like, but regardless, I mean, he's got his
he's over top of all this. He's probably on top
of that. But the general the general point is like
why do we care this so much? Like why can't
we let him be happy if this is what he

(08:04):
wants to do because he's Bill Belichick. He's just he's
he's aren't the right to have this type of attention.
I mean, this is what.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
People who have accomplished at the level of that high
of level, they command that type of attention. And I
don't know, I don't know what the craze is or
what the infactuation.

Speaker 3 (08:27):
Is on.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
When when things like this happen. It's like people thrive
off of getting news like this or being able to
say Bill Belichick dates a woman that's fifty years younger
than them.

Speaker 3 (08:43):
Hey, God bless him.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
I mean, that's what I'm saying. He pulled it off.
He pulled it off. Probably most likely there's a ton
of dudes out there that's wondering or saying the usual
thing about what they say about athletes and people in
athletics is if you weren't in athletics, you wouldn't be
able to get that girl. So then the infatuation becomes

(09:06):
about how you're able to do something they can't do.
Like to me, that's what I think it stems from.
It's jealousy. I think a lot of the people out
here that are still talking about this whole thing because
it really hasn't like what and I know a lot
of people are like making the comparisons, like what makes
Bill Belichick different from Shinn and Sharp, like they should

(09:26):
both be in like no one is a girlfriend and
one is, you know, seemingly unless it comes something different
comes out with Belichick seemingly. I mean one was paid help,
you know, and I don't. I mean, he's gone to awards,
He's walked red carpets with this young lady like he
claims her like this is his shorty. I mean, he's

(09:49):
doing things he's never done. He's doing yoga, poses and
fishing for mermaids and all kinds of different things that
I just don't think Bill Belichick would have ever done,
so he claims her like that's his people, whereas and
I think that people should understand that that, like it
seems like he's really into her. So yeah, I'm with

(10:09):
you because I don't have no jealousy about it. I don't.
I don't feel as though he's done something that I
wouldn't be able to do or anything like that. I
just don't feel like there's any reason to pass any
judgments on him. I mean, there's an initial reaction, there's
a shock and a reaction. I have a son that's
older than the woman he's dating, Like, and I'm only

(10:30):
forty six. I have a son older than the woman
he's dating. But does that like bother me? As long
as it's not my daughter, it doesn't bother me. So
we're good, by the way, what're you good for me?
What do you think it was like? For?

Speaker 3 (10:45):
You know, people are just like a nice little stroll
on the beach and they look over like is that
Bill Belichick dressed like the vandicamp's logo and is she
a mermaid? Are they taking pictures? You mentionine that like
like wait, what what is happening here? Everybody has got
ig on the brain nowadays, and Belichick fell for it,

(11:07):
and he just keeps rolling with it. By the way,
his book tour continues. They're going to NYU coming up
on Tuesday, I believe. So they're not going to let
this Nickel and Dime CBS interview stop them from what
they're trying to do, which is pushed the book and
hopefully she's there and they'll crack a couple of jokes.

Speaker 4 (11:25):
Was that Sunday morning when that interview took place. Yeah,
when it air, which just that was it was a
doozy for a Sunday. You know, usually people are getting up,
some people getting ready to go to church, or she's
kind of taking it slow on your off day there
on the weekend. I don't know, maybe you're turning up
likely and grab it a uh, I don't know, something
bloody Mary or a screwdriver. But I just was like

(11:48):
this a lot, Like they're just all like immediately diving
into his personal life. And I was more curious to see,
like what he was talking about about the program and
al it compares to what he did in Newing or
what he sees in the difference is in college football.
And it was nothing nothing like that I was like, oh,
all right, definitely took a different turn there.

Speaker 3 (12:07):
By the way, some of those road games and some
of those road crowds this year are gonna have a
field day with that. With him and his girlfriend in
this whole situation, they're probably gonna dress like fishermen.

Speaker 1 (12:17):
Uh, they're not going to do anything that that man
isn't prepared to handle.

Speaker 4 (12:23):
Well, yeah, I mean, and the fun. You don't think
they've done stuff in the past on us and the fun.

Speaker 1 (12:28):
He's had material I don't. I don't think he cares
like that's a flex like y'all said, y'all out here
sweating the chip my chick, Like that's my people, y'all
here sweating me and sweating me because of her. Like
who else am I supposed to deal with? Y'all kick

(12:50):
rocks like I'm Bill Belichick, Like I win, That's what
I do.

Speaker 4 (12:55):
I win.

Speaker 1 (12:57):
Could say like she's a bad looking Like if she
was young and just didn't like just looked homely and
you know, like just be, it wouldn't be the same.
It wasn't the same reaction if she is.

Speaker 4 (13:09):
True, But it shouldn't matter how she looks.

Speaker 3 (13:12):
If if she was if she was less attractive, North
Carolina should fire him.

Speaker 1 (13:20):
If she was less attractive, wouldn't nobody even care? Yeah,
they wouldn't even care the fact that she's not the
fact that superficially, the fact that she's actually a pretty
good looking person makes a.

Speaker 4 (13:34):
Pretty good looking more than that she's pretty good looking,
I'm with you if you say extremely, I.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
Mean, okay, I mean I was. I'm not trying to
like Gock over his his people. I'm just saying if
she was pretty good looking chick like, and it is
what it is, and if she wasn't, wouldn't nobody be
making no big deal about it? But but she is?

Speaker 3 (13:56):
If she was hating, if she wasn't attractive, I would
have lost all respects for him.

Speaker 1 (14:00):
I mean, why why go that young if you're not
going to go a track down? And to all the
ugly women out there, I'm sorry if you ugly, I
ain't got nothing to do with it. But the bottom
line is is that Bill Belichick probably wouldn't want you
to be the bottom.

Speaker 3 (14:15):
Line like he would lose my Hall of Fame vote.

Speaker 4 (14:18):
Oh, I hain't got to do with.

Speaker 1 (14:27):
Dang. I mean, how many how many uglies have we
seen Tom Brady mess with I mean, yeah, it's just
the patriot away. Clearly they embraced the Patriot away.

Speaker 4 (14:43):
Yeah, what's your take on this?

Speaker 5 (14:47):
I got nothing. I'm good on this one. Live and
let live, man, live and let love.

Speaker 4 (14:53):
Yeah, what what's the saying? You said?

Speaker 1 (14:55):
This should be the last person saying why? Why and
let love it?

Speaker 3 (15:03):
What's some problem?

Speaker 1 (15:04):
There's there's everything but that taking place in Lee's personal life. Well,
and he should be happy that the live part is
still part of his deal. Yeah, he hasn't been unlive.
He live and let live, let love. Okay, it's a

(15:26):
flex like that. Just be clear. Bill Belichick walked out
did the walk of shame, half naked with the with
the white silver taco meet out and and had no
problem with it. And then it services that this is
the person he's dating. I mean, Bill ain't playing around,

(15:47):
that's all. He ain't playing around, And apparently he's got
a ton of personality and and this young lady is
literally watchdogging him like we're not doing this, we're not
doing this. Move on? Oh really done? Like she ain't

(16:07):
playing around, don't mess with Bill, don't do it. And
she got the energy for you more than enough. She's
gonna come right at your chin. Yeah, don't be playing
with this. Don't disturb this groove.

Speaker 3 (16:20):
We're good, better not we're good over here, I'm messing around.
By the way, it is a two pros and a
cup of Joe here on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (16:32):
What do you guys?

Speaker 2 (16:33):
Went out?

Speaker 1 (16:34):
Everybody went out, start, everybody went out, started getting bandicapped, fish,
fish and chips.

Speaker 3 (16:41):
Y'all got any fish sticks?

Speaker 1 (16:45):
I'll save it, freeze out fly You're going to get
what Coach Belichick got though.

Speaker 3 (16:52):
It's like it's like toilet paper during COVID on at
a time only one. By the way, we are brought

Speaker 1 (17:19):
All right, So ale seven restock on now seven all right?

Speaker 3 (17:27):
Coming up next here, though, we are going to have
a brand new rivalry in the NFL. Stick around at
yours here at FSR.

Speaker 2 (17:36):
Be sure to catch live editions of two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Arrington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern, three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 3 (17:51):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe, Fox Sports Radio,
LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you here. So
we are going to get to uh, somebody who's losing
it in the National Football League. We're going to get
into that for you coming up here shortly. There is
this story that is out though that the NFL is
looking for another way to make a few bucks. I'm

(18:12):
assuming they've decided to introduce something called rivalries jerseys that'll
be inspired by the communities of the teams, and starting
in twenty twenty five, the first wave will cover the
teams of the AFC East and the NFC West, and
the league will had two new divisions every year. This

(18:33):
according to Jonathan Jones of CBS.

Speaker 1 (18:35):
Sports, that's the easy one.

Speaker 3 (18:39):
These jerseys are going to be worn only by the
home team in a division rivalry. Every team's going to
be required to wear the rivalries jerseys at least once
every three year. Can be used more frequently than that.
Against any of its three division rivals, so.

Speaker 1 (18:54):
Them will be wearing to roll in sixty probably sixties.

Speaker 3 (19:00):
I don't want to be a kill joy.

Speaker 4 (19:01):
This is gonna be do you think so it's going
to be terrible? Oh, come on, man, this is fun.
This is it's fun for the fans, it's fun for
the players to get a little extra money out of this.
I mean, think about this, the NFL and really Nike.
This is more of the Nike ification of the NFL,
right there, a Nike Nike fication. I guess they found

(19:22):
more ways of creating more jerseys, whether it's like Color
Rush or uh throwbacks and everything else that goes along
with that. I mean, think about it. When we played
Lavardo to your Home Away, that was about it. People
could buy like a couple of jerseys if they wudn't have.

Speaker 1 (19:39):
We wore retros when I was there, so we wore retros.

Speaker 4 (19:44):
But imagine if you had color Rush, Imagine if you
had rivalry jerseys. Imagine if you had all these different
versions of that. If someone's a big LeVar Arrington, they
could have had more than just a couple of jerseys
or a few jerseys. They get a five or six right,
So I get My general point is like it's good
for the lead league and everyone involved. It's good for
the players, it's good for obviously the owners of the league.

(20:04):
It's good for Nike. It's just crazy that it's like
the same trick they keep coming up with over and
over and over again. They're able to get people to
buy it. And it's I mean, look again, it's cool.
I'm not knocking it, but I am curious to see
what these uniforms look like. And I do think it's
a and it's it's an opportunity for Nike to kind
of create a fresher image for each one of these

(20:26):
teams and changing the way some of the logos look
and they maybe even test out some stuff as far
as what the teams are thinking of changing the logos
to in the future. But do it through these rivalry
jerseys base The.

Speaker 1 (20:39):
NBA do this. The NBA does it with their like
didn't didn't the Clippers come out with a different type
of uniform and the.

Speaker 3 (20:46):
NBA does it. The Major League Baseball does this thing
called the City connect jerseys, which is to kind of
represent the city of each team. It's similar to this,
like what the NFL is doing and I can assure
you they are brutal. There's the Dodgers rolled out one
that looked awful.

Speaker 1 (21:05):
I just think the l A, the NFC West is
so easy, like that's I mean, you're going the l
A teams like what only one? But what's it gonna be?

Speaker 4 (21:16):
Like?

Speaker 1 (21:16):
As I said roll in sixties earlier, that's a blue
that's blue. You could go because that's that's crips. You
could go piru, but that's that's you know, that's rare.

Speaker 3 (21:26):
I thought it was gonna be a tense and graffiti. Yeah,
you could have some of that.

Speaker 1 (21:32):
Maybe it's a collage of all of all of the
things that are going on in l.

Speaker 3 (21:36):
A, like homeless guys doing patent goal lines.

Speaker 1 (21:41):
But you know, yeah, I mean, what's that right there
on the corner of the is that a syringe on
the corner of the Wait? Wait wait is that a crap? What?

Speaker 3 (22:00):
Why does that spoon have a burn mark.

Speaker 1 (22:02):
On the community? But like, what are we doing here? Man?
Like what what exactly are we saying here? Man's have
a mural kobe on the back or something.

Speaker 3 (22:12):
I mean, how now, how much are the play? Well?
What's the cut? A player gets on a jersey like this.

Speaker 4 (22:19):
It's not much because I think it's to the g
O g l A, the group Licensing agreement, so it
could be more. But because the union it's a it's
less of a cut.

Speaker 1 (22:30):
But is this it's that, you know, structured the same
like you're you get what a guy that's like super popular,
So if you're not popular, you'll get a cut of it,
but they get more, like they get much more. Yeah,
substantial cut.

Speaker 4 (22:45):
So that's what I'm saying. It's good for the entire
league because you know, hopefully the fan base is will, uh,
we'll pick these out and what's the AFC East NFC West?
Is that what it is for this year?

Speaker 1 (22:54):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (22:55):
So you could do some cool stuff with some of
those uniforms.

Speaker 3 (22:58):
I mean, you know, I'm like, okay, so let's break
this down. The only one is excited about this, Well,
let's like, let's break it down. Then let's go team
by team the Patriots. What are you gonna get? I mean,
what what's what are the page?

Speaker 4 (23:09):
What do you mean? What are you gonna get? Like,
let Nike figure out the creative but I think you
could do some cool stuff with it.

Speaker 3 (23:14):
I mean the Dolphins are gonna have like some people
doing cocaine.

Speaker 1 (23:20):
They go ahead, Albacino pats with his gun.

Speaker 3 (23:27):
Don Johnson like Don Don Johnson tubs, the uh, the bills.
They could have like some like buffalo sauce. It's gonna
be like the color of the Buffo.

Speaker 1 (23:39):
They gonna have a whole bunch of ketchup in mustard.

Speaker 4 (23:42):
I mean, I bet these turn out to be better
than you think. That's what I bet.

Speaker 2 (23:47):
I mean.

Speaker 1 (23:49):
A trash can, so he'll be I don't know, yeah,
a foldable table. You know, they go ahead. Everything that
represents the community.

Speaker 3 (24:02):
And by the way, the Seahawks just go back to
the ones from the eighties and nineties, like I thought
we've established those are awesome, Like just like.

Speaker 1 (24:11):
Dudes throwing fish. You see a fish being thrown Sea.

Speaker 3 (24:15):
Hawk and Kirk Cobain's catching it.

Speaker 1 (24:18):
Oh no, and the fish has a crack pipe in
just well listen, all right, come on, okay, you're gonna

(24:39):
have You're gonna have scenes from waste management on the Cardinals.
Oh yeah, somebody rolling down the hill.

Speaker 3 (24:48):
By the way, didn't didn't Lee run a scooter while
we were in Arizona.

Speaker 1 (24:53):
YouTube one of those.

Speaker 3 (24:54):
Scooters time, and we were not in a great part
of town. I don't know if you guys walked the
ways up to get water or anything, but you went
by that CBS and it was like, who it's rough
part of a rough part of town and you just
grabbed a scooter and just stroll to it.

Speaker 5 (25:08):
Yeah, you get away from get away from any problems
a lot faster than that.

Speaker 3 (25:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (25:12):
No, well they close off all the roads, so to
get an uber anywhere it takes way too long because
you had to go like around all the barricades.

Speaker 3 (25:20):
Scooter you get right to it.

Speaker 4 (25:23):
Yeah, but I wouldn't trust you in that state of mind,
you know.

Speaker 1 (25:28):
I mean you've been witnessing you New Orleans and yeah,
you don't. You don't need anything else. You barely stay
on your feet.

Speaker 4 (25:37):
If you're using those, you need to rent an ambulance and.

Speaker 5 (25:42):
To take you.

Speaker 3 (25:45):
That rolls up to super Bowl and that.

Speaker 4 (25:48):
Yeah, that would actually, that would be the safest mode
of transportation for you. It's too paramedics, a driver an ambulance.

Speaker 1 (25:57):
That man was leaking when he got into the car.

Speaker 3 (26:00):
Oh my god, what wrong.

Speaker 1 (26:02):
Would you lead? I fell?

Speaker 3 (26:10):
Yeah, I mean, if you were going to fall on something.

Speaker 4 (26:14):

Speaker 1 (26:30):
Definitely wouldn't hurt, No, sure wouldn't.

Speaker 3 (26:34):
All right, So, so what is the issue here with
the rookie wage scale in the NFL? What's the what's
the problem here?

Speaker 4 (26:41):
Well, okay, so May fifth is the deadline for NFL
teams to pick up the fifth year option. And uh,
it's interesting if you actually look back to US eleven,
it's it's hamstrung a lot of rookies, especially who've proven
themselves after their you know, first, second, third, you know,
fourth year. It's allowed teams to have control of them

(27:04):
for really seven years. Like a team ultimately could say
we're gonna draft the guy in the first round. He's
a four year, fully guaranteed deal. They pick up the
fifth year option, and they franchise tag him for two
years in a row. So that player if he comes
into the league at twenty two to twenty three, could
be damn near thirty and could have never gotten the
chance to test free agency. Kind of crazy to think

(27:25):
about that. And so one of the issues, or one
of the effects it's had is it's completely killed out
the middle class. And here's how. The first is that
it hasn't allowed the younger players to reset the market
at their position sooner. So the NFL back in twenty
eleven had convinced the NFLPA that you guys got to

(27:48):
stop allowing these rookies who've never done anything in the
NFL to get paid so much through the rookie or
through the rookie draft salary pool. You got to cut
that out. Well, we'll make sure that money is spent
on other players. Now do you think the NFL then
took the moneies that was saved to spend on other players.
Hell no, they convinced the PA of this, The PA

(28:09):
bought it, and then they found themselves in this mode
where or markets weren't being reset for each position because
you didn't have a new wave of rookies coming in
every year who are pushing that envelope. Like we go
back to let's look at cam Ward's deal, for example,
it's a four year, forty three fully garant, forty three
million dollars, fully guaranteed deal. Sam Bradford already got that,

(28:33):
he had more than that as the number one overall pick,
what thirteen fourteen years ago? Think about that, like we're
just now getting back to where the rookie draft salary
pool was. And so what that did was back then
is they kept forcing veteran players to then say, well,
sam Bradford has you know, let's just say he was

(28:55):
the example. He hasn't played us a down yet, but
so my contract should be at least that, or I've
got to be double that or more than that, whatever
the case is. It allowed you basically the framework or
like a baseline for your negotiations. And that's not just
that quarterback, that's every position, right, number one overall pick.
I think Jake Long was the number one overall right,

(29:16):
you know you get his contract. Every left tackle is going, well,
I'm gonna I'm gonna make more than him. He hasn't
even you know, he hasn't played a snap yet, or
the next year. I look, well, Jake Long's up there.
As far as what he's making. So it actually not
only hurt the you know, top players from getting paid
more sooner, it also took out the middle class because

(29:36):
then other guys didn't have things to negotiate against against
rookies who hadn't even played yet, right, So that's kind
of part of it. But this is all now kind
of you're starting to see after a long period of time,
the impacts on rookies and guys who've displayed themselves who
would like a chance to be able to extend their
contract or renegotiate and get to a second contract so
they get paid more money. But unfortunately, because the NFLPA

(30:00):
read to this back in twenty eleven, teams have control
of it, and now you know, they don't always utilize
it the right way. We saw that with Daniel Jones
and how that all worked out of the Saquon Barkley situation.
But they still have the power to do it, and
that's what's really impacted, and I think hurt a lot
of you know players from not being able to make

(30:20):
more money sooner or having to go through some of
these contract negotiation issues because of the fifth year option.
And that's your your again, the deadline is the fifth,
So you know it's coming up here on Monday where
teams have to make that decision on players now who
are still on those rookie deals.

Speaker 3 (30:36):
It is kind of wild to think that a team
can draft you and they can just keep you until
you're thirty. Like, it's just you know, this is what
it is.

Speaker 1 (30:46):
And if the old NFL though, before free agency, like
way back in the day's why you were able to
have so many like interesting teams like the Steel Curtain.
You know, no free agency. Guys didn't even worry about
going to another team. You just on the team you
were on. So yeah, lot changes, a lot of evolution,

(31:07):
you know, you got to keep up with the times.

Speaker 3 (31:10):

Is it a horse name.

Speaker 5 (32:20):
Or horse crap?

Speaker 1 (32:24):
All right?

Speaker 3 (32:25):
It's Kentucky Derby time. And what that means is we've
got a list of names here. It's either an actual
horse name, it's completely made up, and it's horse crap.
We've got LeVar versus Brady LeVar. You are the defending champion,
so you get the honors here. Would you like to

(32:45):
go first or go second?

Speaker 1 (32:50):
Let's let him go first? You all right?

Speaker 3 (32:52):
The sticks picks so good picks all right, So Brady,
nown't just to be clear on this, these are all
if it's it's an actual name of a horse. These
are horses not running in the Kentucky Derby, but they
are running at Churchhill Downs this weekend. All right, So
is this a horse name or is this horse crap?
Brady Quinn up first, and the first name for you, sir,

(33:13):
is table flirt.

Speaker 1 (33:18):
Okay, all right.

Speaker 4 (33:19):
So that's a tough one because that could be misconstrued
as any one of our members of our crew. All right,
it could be Jonas LeVar, myself. We've eaten out enough.
We're pretty friendly when we sit down to eat and
grub together. Table flirts. I'm gonna go with horse name.

Speaker 3 (33:40):
That is correct. Congratulations, Brady, you are on the board,
and we go over to Lvar. Now, who's next, up, LeVar?
Horse name or horse crap? Fall down, drunk?

Speaker 4 (33:54):
I bite you one last year, f you, Jonas, and
I appreciate and I appreciate the easy law on this one,
but I'm going to say it is.

Speaker 1 (34:04):
Not a horse name.

Speaker 3 (34:06):
So it's horse crap.

Speaker 1 (34:07):
It's horse crap. That is correct. Yeah, horse that was
that was that was a lob. That was a love
I'll take it.

Speaker 3 (34:16):
All right, so things will get a little bit more
difficult here for Brady Quinn, who is next up here.
The horse name or horse crap, Brady Quinn, the name
for you is Trot Shapiro.

Speaker 4 (34:29):
First off, shout out congrats to Scott Shapiro, our boss
for the Minnesota Timberwolves getting to the second round.

Speaker 1 (34:36):
Is this is.

Speaker 4 (34:37):
The third time in my thirty years or something. I
think he was sweeting about it.

Speaker 1 (34:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (34:42):
Fact, happy for you, Scott. Minnesota's got a shot and
maybe to make a little run here. So we'll see.
That is a horse crap though it's not a horse name.

Speaker 3 (34:51):
Correct. That is horse crap, Trot Shapiro, not an actual
name of the horse.

Speaker 1 (34:55):
Shapiro.

Speaker 3 (34:56):
Over to LeVar Arrington. LeVar, you are next up here
on this addition of horse name or horse crap, and
the name for you is Naked Eye.

Speaker 1 (35:08):
Naked Eye sounds like it should be a horse's name.
So I'm going to lean towards what is it? What
horse what or horse? Horse name or horse crap. Yeah,
I'm gonna go with horse name.

Speaker 3 (35:20):
That is correct. Congratulations, LeVar. You guys are perfect thus far.
So now we go back over to Brady Quinn. Here, Brady,
the name I just gave LeVar was naked Eye. The
name I've got for you is naked Guy.

Speaker 4 (35:35):
That sounds more like Lee on a Wednesday night. I'm
gonna say that's horse crap. Jonas.

Speaker 3 (35:41):
You're correct, You are correct, and you guys are perfect here.
By the way, I don't know why I Lee caught
astray out of all people here on this show. We're
trying to have your own, all right, So LeVar, next
up for you here on this edition of Horse Name
or Horse Crap? Lee Dirt nast.

Speaker 1 (36:00):
Appu bunch here. Yeah, I'm gonna go with with horse
crapp You are well the perfect there.

Speaker 3 (36:14):
You guys are off and running here on this edition
of Horse Name or Horse Crap?

Speaker 1 (36:18):
Is it actually the easiest one? I will admit that
was the easiest one ever in the history so far
took number one.

Speaker 3 (36:24):
Is it an actual horse name of a horse racing
at Churchill Downs this weekend or completely made up? Next
up is Brady Quinn. We are tied at three apiece. Brady.
The name for you, sir is diddy up.

Speaker 4 (36:40):
Oh no, I mean, I hope, I hope that's not
a horse's name, I really do. I don't know. Maybe
maybe he's got one running in there. Is he in jail?
Where's he at right now?

Speaker 3 (36:52):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (36:52):
Yes, he's just turned down his peaking.

Speaker 1 (36:57):
Down.

Speaker 4 (36:57):
All right, I'm gonna say horse crap at least, I
I hope it's horse crab.

Speaker 3 (37:01):
It's not a name that is correct, Brady Quinn. That
is a made up horse name. So we go back
over to LeVar here solely from cuff up LeVar. The
next LeVar. The next name for you here is Ivory
and Ebony.

Speaker 1 (37:18):
Ooh, so it's a black and white horse mixed together
that gave you Ivory and Ebony. I'm going to go
with horse name. You're good, sir, That is correct, all right, Brady.

Speaker 3 (37:31):
We are getting late in the game here, and speaking
of which, the name for you her, by the way,
the name for you here, Brady, is too late to
castraight horse name or horse craft.

Speaker 1 (37:41):
That just that just took the cake. That just took
the cake.

Speaker 4 (37:45):
Horse crap.

Speaker 3 (37:47):
That's the easiest one, LeVar, final one here to tie
the game. The name for you, sir, is into pleasure
horse name or horse craft.

Speaker 1 (37:58):
Oh no, that's a goat one. That's a good one.
I'm gonna say horse. I'mouna say horse thing.

Speaker 3 (38:08):
That is correct. Are we have tied it?
