Speaker 1 (01:29):
Good morning morning.
Speaker 3 (01:32):
So we talked on Monday about if you were to
every day, Yeah we do, if you were to rank
all right, So who had who had just an awful
opening week in the NFL?
Speaker 1 (01:47):
All right?
Speaker 3 (01:47):
The team that jumps above everybody else is the Miami
the Miami Dolphins. And you know, the noises loud, the
conversation surrounding the team and what's the few sure of
Mike mcdame to the head coach like, all of that
extremely loud. And then there was a you know, a
report that came out that was confirmed by Dolphins players
(02:12):
where the Dolphins players held a player's only meeting on
Tuesday following their blowout loss to the Colts on Sunday
because they just, you know, wanted to make sure everybody's
on the same page, they all stay locked in, stayed together.
I'm just gonna ask you from the outside, look it in.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
Okay, do it from the outside. I'm on the outside
too though.
Speaker 3 (02:32):
Okay, but if you were on a team and after
one game you're calling a player's only meeting two days
after you got ripped in half, that seems kind of problematic,
Like it just seems like that's troubling. That seems a
bit early to go players only meeting just to make
(02:53):
sure everybody's on the same page after one week.
Speaker 1 (02:57):
Well, isn't everybody doing only these days?
Speaker 3 (03:01):
Yeah, that's true. That is true.
Speaker 1 (03:05):
I mean fans only, players only. I mean, just see
like everything is only these days. Uh No, there's a
couple of different ways you could probably, I guess, digest
that and comprehend it obviously in context of how they
played in the game and what that that loss looked
(03:27):
like to the coach. A player a player meeting, you know,
it's because something that was not positive happened, which was
the outcome of the game. Now what that consisted of.
That's that's where you know, it gets a little It
could get a little tricky because in most cases player
(03:51):
player only. Player only meetings generally are the leaders of
the team coming together, bringing everybody together, rounding them up
and rallying them and basically saying, look, it's a come
to Jesus moment. All of them have jobs, and all
of them could end up not having jobs. All of
(04:13):
them are getting paid handsomely, even down to the minimum
wage guy of the NFL, and when you lose, you
can come and go. And so I think all in all,
it's a positive thing. When you have a player's meeting.
It's not generally speaking, it's not called out of good times.
(04:37):
It's not like, oh, we're undefeated. You know, we're going
to have a player's only meeting. Generally it's called because
something seems to be maybe like there's a conflict or
something bad has happened, but it's an acknowledgement that something
needs to be worked on, talked about, a resolution needs
(04:58):
to take place when these types of scenarios, you know, happen.
It could be, uh, you know, one of your best
players had a you know, a tremendous or a very
devastating happening in their life, or you know, it could
be a whole lot of reasons why you call the
players only meeting. It could be based off of how
(05:19):
you know, ownership is handling things or you know, the
conditions of your locker room. What There's so many different reasons,
but I think we know clearly why this was a
There was a player's only meet in Miami, and that
was to acknowledge that they stunk the first week and
and you know, we don't want to continue to stink.
(05:40):
And if we're going to be anything other than what
we were this past weekend, you know, it starts with us,
and we got to make that change, and we gotta
we gotta practice harder, We got to pay attention to
the details more, and we got to take the you know,
they have to take the onus of being the catalyst
of the team stopping what it was that took place
(06:04):
on Sunday. So I think it's a good thing because
you're only one game in and you have a player's
only meeting, you have those conversations. It sometimes sparks a
level of energy where you know they can bounce back
and they can do some pretty special things out there
on the field.
Speaker 3 (06:23):
It just feels like we're it's so loud, the noise
is so loud around the team, and it was going
into the year where you're looking at it going hey man, Like,
there's just the rumblings and we've talked about it before,
but it you know, it's not one of these just
one off situations where there was rumblings that Mike McDaniel
(06:46):
had lost the locker room, that there were veterans who
just you know, weren't into it. You know, we talked
to Albert Breer. Pete Prisco called it camp Softy, you know,
when he went to go see him, because because of course,
of course Pete Prisco would like, that's just you know,
but you start to hear all these things and you
start to compile all the evidence, and it just seems
like a team that is in no man's land and
(07:10):
I don't know, I like to come out and look
like that. And there were it's not like they were
alone in the NFL. There were teams that had bad performances.
There were teams that you know, couldn't like the Ravens
not being able to finish that game against the Bills,
same for the Bears against the Vikings. Like, those are
conversations that deserve to be had, but none of them
look like that, and none of them look like that.
(07:31):
After months of speculation about what that was going to
look like and all they did was roll out a
bucket of puke, like literally rolled out a bucket of
vomit and were awful. And then two days later it's like,
all right, we got to get together and keep every
keep everybody, you know, make sure everybody's on the same
page here. It just it feels like this is not
(07:54):
trending anywhere close into the to the proper direction. And
then on top of that all the Tyreek kill stuff.
The NFL is now open an investigation and did domestic violence.
I just I don't, I don't. I don't see a
way out for them that results in this being the
same same team by the end of the year.
Speaker 1 (08:16):
It feels like they may very well be and I
mean it may be. It may be as bad as
you're making it sound. But but one thing that you're
taught when you play the game, which I think is
a very valuable lesson when you're an athlete and when
you're playing ball, is that you're never as good as
(08:36):
you think you are, but you're never as bad as
you think you are. Either somewhere in between, and you're
either working to trend up or you're working to trend down.
But each one takes effort. And so when you're looking
at where this Miami Dolphins team is, they don't have
to stay stuck in a downward trend. Like you said,
(09:00):
there's some really good teams that lost in Week one,
and and when it goes into the record book, Jonas,
it won't it won't read Yep, Baltimore had a good,
good looking loss. Miami had an ugly loss. This team
had a good looking loss. This one was a beautiful
of just an amazing, immaculate loss. Like it doesn't go
(09:24):
in the in the book that way, it doesn't go
in the column that way.
Speaker 3 (09:27):
Loss is a loss. In the words of Rob Parker,
sports has a short menu. It's wins and losses.
Speaker 1 (09:34):
That's correct, and every once in a while you'll get
a tie. But in this scenario, a week one loss,
if you're a leader in that locker room, I would
assume the overwhelming arching message is let's fix this before
we get too far out in this season, because a
(09:56):
season can get very, very long when and you lose
hope of being able to compete, in being able to
win so early in a season. So I would I
would assume that those guys are like, look, we lost,
put it behind us. It happened. These things happen. Let's
let's get a great week of practice, a great a
(10:16):
great week of preparation, and we're one went away from
changing the narrative. And that's how it works. I mean,
there there could possibly be a really good football team
that ends up h and two after week two. It's
very possible. But that doesn't mean that that's how your
(10:38):
season is defined. And to have so much football in
front of you, it makes sense to acknowledge that this
could be a problem. Let's make sure that it's not
a problem. Let's not let the noise of the outside
come into our locker room and and and prove that
it's right. Let's let's let's come together, Let's do what
(11:01):
we need to do. Let's let's be on time. You know.
Let's let's make sure that that we know what our
assignments and our alignments are and handle our business. We're
all professionals here, so there doesn't need to be any
anything else other than knowing that we let a first
game get away from us. It's the first game of
(11:22):
the year. Don't panic, don't pull no rip chords, stay together,
don't talk us on one another, keep our business tight,
keep it close to the vest, and keep it between
us and let's improve. And that's probably the message that
was delivered in that player's only meeting.
Speaker 3 (11:38):
I mean, I'll say this. You know, he's got the
right perspective about everything to a talk about loa all
right here he was talking about the noise surrounding him
and the team.
Speaker 4 (11:47):
I think it's hard for me because I don't see
any of what what you.
Speaker 1 (11:50):
Guys are talking about. Like I don't have any social media.
I go home, I'm with my kids.
Speaker 4 (11:55):
When my family and kids want to watch Disney Channel
or Disney Plus, I'm gonna put put whatever's.
Speaker 1 (12:00):
On for them.
Speaker 4 (12:01):
Then I'll play like games with my wife while I'm there.
So I wouldn't say I get to hear a lot
of that or see a lot of that, But it
doesn't matter anyways, Like are they going to help us
win the game?
Speaker 1 (12:11):
Are they going to help us lose the game?
Speaker 4 (12:13):
Like that starts within and so if we can look
at each other and look at the things that we
can correct and things that we can help each other
on to move forward to hopefully get a win. You
know this upcoming Sunday, you know I think that's what
we should be focusing on.
Speaker 3 (12:26):
Every NFL player on a bad football team should play
that on repeat. Listen, man, I'm getting paid a really
good amount of money. Just delete your social media, go home,
put on Disney or whatever you want for the kids,
and just play games with your wife and then show
up to work the next day. Just keep cash and checks,
(12:48):
all right, don't worry about any of that stuff. Get
off Instagram and Instagram, get off snapface, get off all
the other stuff that's out there, and just go home
and completely tune everything out. That's perspective. That's a guy
who gets it good for two. That's a simple kind
of man. That's your song right there.
Speaker 1 (13:07):
I like that that you want your quarterback to have
that type of approach and that type of mentality because
you do go through a lot of ups and downs.
You know, you got a season of football. Season is
a battle of attrition. It's it's a it's a journey.
It's it's a marathon. It's not a sprint. And sometimes
(13:27):
you can come out of the blocks and you can
be moving really really well and moving really really fast,
and then an injury happens, or you know, you something
something takes place that that changes what what the momentum was.
Can you handle the momentum shift? Can you regain what
it is that you felt like maybe you you had
(13:48):
and and now maybe have lost it. It's it's the
beauty of why everybody should have their children and compete
in sports and athletics is that you learn these value
lessons as to what competing really represents. And so having
the having the self awareness that that TUA is is
(14:10):
exercising and and really putting out there. It does. It
does play a part because the other guys that are
listening to what he has to say will either choose
to follow that that type of mindset not thought process,
or they won't. But I do believe when you have
(14:31):
good leaders in the locker room, you can weed out
the week the weaklings, you know, you can weed out
the cancers of the bunch. And and maybe that's what
the team meeting was about, because you can have a
bunch of male contents in your locker room at time
that has been a thing as well, that has been
a thing, you know, and if you're a male content
(14:52):
when you had those type of meetings, I mean, I've
been in players only meetings where dudes have had to
be set rate it, you know, and sometimes it's not
always the easiest conversations when you have another man tell
you know what you're not. And sometimes it's necessary. Sometimes
it's needed, you know. And and and you can only
(15:16):
have a reckoning when you're you're truly aware of what
it is that you have to reconcile. And so to me,
when you look at the idea of a guy like
too having the mindset that he has and these guys
coming together and having a player's only meeting, you know,
you'd have to again you have to assume that it's
(15:37):
it's for a positive reason, it's for a positive thing.
But if there is something that is negative there, it
has to be addressed, and it needs to be addressed quickly,
and it needs to be put to bid, and there
needs to be solutions that are connected to it.
Speaker 3 (15:52):
The good news is they've got the Patriots this weekend.
Speaker 1 (15:55):
Do the Miami Dolphins, And well, it's a divisional opponent,
right it is.
Speaker 3 (16:00):
Miami's a slight favorite on DraftKings two and a half,
a two and a half point favorite against the Patriots.
What's interesting about the Patriots Dolphins is Miami has owned
New England, especially at home. So Miami's won eight of
the last ten against the Patriots. They've won seven of
(16:21):
eight in Miami. And this isn't just a well yeah,
but this is since Tom Brady left.
Speaker 1 (16:25):
This is it?
Speaker 3 (16:26):
You know, like they were really successful against New England
in Miami when Belichick and Brady were there during their
prime years. Like there, I can remember a Monday night
game where you know, Miami had no shot, but I
think it was I think it was a J. Feeley
was the quarterback and they won that game and beat
Brady and the Patriots. I don't know what. Is it
just a swamp ass thing? Is it the humidity in Miami? Liken'
(16:50):
I don't understand, but for some reason, Belichick and New
England have always and the Patriots have always struggled in Miami.
So at least she get that to kind of carry
with you when you when you come into this game
and a must win, what feels like a must win
for the Dolphins. So is it swamp ass? Is it
just the humidity out there? What is it? I mean,
(17:11):
they're not in town long enough to go hang out
with any uh are you? Is there enough time to
get it in over there.
Speaker 1 (17:18):
There's always enough time. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (17:21):
Interesting, So so they leave Foxborough. I mean, you know
what actually, now that you think about it, can you
look up how far is it from hard Rock Stadium
to Orchards of Asia? Could you look that up real quick,
like Miami Gardens to uh to Jupiter.
Speaker 1 (17:45):
That's that's at least an hour and a half, two hours.
Speaker 3 (17:49):
Lee, what are we looking at hard Rock Stadium?
Speaker 1 (17:52):
But you know, depending on who you are, you take
a quick little helicopter ride and that's that's cutting that
cut down.
Speaker 3 (17:59):
It's only an hour and a half, hey man.
Speaker 1 (18:05):
And and the only reason why I know is I
used to have a place in Miami and was frequently
visiting you know, Florida for for a time in my life.
And oh yeah, you know. And then there's West Palm.
You start to learn the different areas of.
Speaker 3 (18:24):
I'm telling you man, you.
Speaker 1 (18:25):
Start to learn a little bit about the The.
Speaker 3 (18:29):
Area puts new meaning to the word palm beach.
Speaker 1 (18:31):
Huh dang.
Speaker 3 (18:34):
So maybe that's what it is.
Speaker 1 (18:41):
So so when they call it the West Palm, that's
the right.
Speaker 3 (18:44):
Hand, yes, and then East Palm.
Speaker 1 (18:48):
East Palm is the left damn.
Speaker 3 (18:53):
And then so depending on who you are.
Speaker 1 (18:56):
Oho, man, that is stupid funny, bro.
Speaker 3 (19:00):
Like, if you need if you're if you're if you're LeVar,
you'll need West and East. But again, like that's it
just depends on who you are, all right?
Speaker 1 (19:08):
And that one missed You missed on that not really? No,
I'm not going for that one if you think about it.
Oh no, I thought about it, and I caught it too,
with both my west and my east.
Speaker 3 (19:20):
Paul, That's one of the kindest things I've ever said
to you. But yeah, if the Patriots want to have
better success in Miami, maybe maybe their owners should do
his part to lead by example. Once you get focused
you need some.
Speaker 1 (19:37):
Help bad, you won't need help you and won't need
some serious.
Speaker 3 (19:42):
Did you see the AI generated homelessly picture? I tagged
you Lee and Lorraine in it, all right, to go
ahead and uh and take a look. Yeah, it's glorious.
It's really like it. Really it really looks like him.
Speaker 1 (20:00):
It really does. Why you got three shoes on it
the opposite color? Hey though, that is Walt though, I'm
telling you well, he gets kicked out of the bedroom
and he's not on love time. That is where he
that's how like you've done this before.
Speaker 3 (20:22):
I've had worse nights.
Speaker 1 (20:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (20:25):
Really, at least I got my shoes on.
Speaker 1 (20:28):
That's true. At least they got him as a stylish
a stylish bum though. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (20:38):
I mean that's a card again, that's a that's a
nice looking card.
Speaker 1 (20:40):
Again.
Speaker 5 (20:41):
He's got going on and his hair has never looked nicer.
Speaker 1 (20:43):
Yeah, I mean it's nice. Little it's baded up by chewy.
Speaker 3 (20:48):
I was gonna say, that's fresh off the chewy cut.
Speaker 1 (20:49):
And look how dirty his hand in? What's that mess
that's on the on the cardboard box under it looks like.
Speaker 3 (21:00):
The goatee is spot on. I think that's you, I swear.
I think that's your bumble bumble profile pick.
Speaker 1 (21:11):
It's a real come hang out with me. Let's get
one with nature.
Speaker 5 (21:17):
Got a new box just for you.
Speaker 1 (21:20):

Speaker 3 (21:23):
You can you can check it out the AI generated.
Speaker 1 (21:26):
Let's share boxes. How about that one?
Speaker 3 (21:30):
You know what that says to that says to that
AI if they they couldn't care less about your feelings.
They do not care. Whatever you tell them to do,
they're gonna do. That's an actual robot that is going
to generate a picture of Lee homeless sleeping on cardboard.
Speaker 1 (21:45):
Boxes and as lately God.

Oh, come on, they're getting real comfortable over there.

Come on, man, Oh, they're eating real good back there
is the same. It looks like it. Yeah, looks like
a little young buck. That that's out, little young buck,
you know what I mean. He ain't got no big antlers.
He got them little antlers, them little nubby nubs. Then
this little baby girl looks like baby girl. And then
it looks like mom.
Speaker 3 (24:46):
So it looks like they're eating good out there.
Speaker 1 (24:48):
They eat real good. You eat good too.
Speaker 3 (24:52):
You pull that that sawd off off the wall.
Speaker 1 (24:54):
You have you ever had, dear meet? No? Mmm, have
you ever had there?
Speaker 3 (25:02):
Sure?
Speaker 1 (25:04):
You ain't sure?
Speaker 3 (25:05):
Yeah, I've had venison.
Speaker 1 (25:08):
Lorena, You said, uh huh, you've had it.
Speaker 5 (25:10):
Yeah, I've had it fresh off the bone.
Speaker 3 (25:13):
Which she's from Oregon.
Speaker 5 (25:14):
Yeah, I walked into this guy's garage once it was
thee It was hanging upside down like they just got done,
like draining all the good stuff out of it.
Speaker 3 (25:22):
That's terrible.
Speaker 5 (25:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (25:24):
By the way, for anybody from Peter that's listening, I've
never had vedicine very game.
Speaker 5 (25:30):
It tastes like the outdoors.
Speaker 1 (25:34):
So anyway, So Brown's and Ravens, Yes, one of these
teams is going to have two losses.
Speaker 3 (25:43):
Yeah, they are. It's probably gonna be the Browns based
on the betting odds, which would indicate.
Speaker 1 (25:49):
Based upon their franchise names.
Speaker 3 (25:52):
D damn. By the way, there's nothing better than a
two time of year reminder of what you could have had.
Like that's that's the best part. The Ravens are eleven
and a half point favorites in that's.
Speaker 1 (26:06):
All of those out there that didn't catch what Jonah said.
You know, for those who may not be aware, the
Ravens did live in Cleveland before departing on Mayflower trucks
to move to Baltimore.
Speaker 3 (26:21):
Everyone was like, oh, man, scumbags, what are they doing?
How could they.
Speaker 1 (26:25):
They left In the middle of the evening, there was
a young Brady Quinn that was crying, like.
Speaker 3 (26:30):
Shop by the way, that why there's an NFL network.
I think it's NFL Network did a documentary on the
Browns team that left and Belichick was the coach, and
they were actually like Belichick had them contending like they
were they were a playoff team and when they left,
(26:52):
just the fans that were crying, they were just trying
to take pieces of I think it was municipal stadiums
where they played at the time, and just to how
devastated they were. And then they came back and in
the midst of them coming back, the team that left
that went to Baltimore ended up winning a super Bowl.
It's just it's it's brutal, man. But you've got this
(27:13):
matchup coming up this weekend. You know, Baltimore is gonna
be pissed. They're gonna have a red ass. You know,
Derrick Henry, based on his fumble at the end of
that game, which was crucial in the loss for the Ravens,
He's gonna have a red ass. And then you know,
Grant Delpit, the safety for the Cleveland Browns, was asked
how difficult it is to tackle Derrick Henry. And he
(27:37):
says it's not hard. H He's uh, let everybody know,
it's not that hard to take him down. Derrick Henry
heard the quote, said he had a quote we'll see
on Sunday. Jerry Judy not impressed with the Baltimore Ravens
secondary Kyle Hamilton. Hamilton was quoted as saying, yeah, listen,
(27:58):
I don't really get the bulletin board material. I don't
really get it, but all right, so I'll give the
Browns credit. They're probably looking at this going everything stacked
against us. Let's go ahead and let it fly a
little bit as we get ready for this game. But
the idea that it's not that hard to take down
Derek Henry and I know that Grand Delpit and I
forget who it was, laid a good lick on Derek
(28:21):
Henry last year in the game. The Baltimore Ravens do
not seem like the team that I would want to
see following a loss like that last week.
Speaker 1 (28:30):
A really good team. Man, it's top one, two three team,
top three team in the AFC, and they're they're super loaded,
and they took a loss like where they should have won,
I mean, or could have won had a nice lead,
and they just they allowed it to get away by
(28:53):
not finishing the game. I mean a couple mishaps, I
mean kick a man while he's down. Obviously, Derek Henry
had an untimely fumble that took place in the game
kind of helped shift the momentum of the game. But
here's the thing, when you're talking about tackling guys, if
you're a tackler, Derek Hemry can use that as motivation,
(29:13):
and he should use it as motivation. But those those
defenders are going to also use their motivation because in
the end, should a guy be saying it's hard to
take Derrick Henry down, just the Gays Derek Henry up?
Is it? Should the defender be sitting there saying that
I don't want to tackle Derrick Hemry because of how
(29:34):
big he is. I don't think that a person like
you know how DeAndre Hopkins said and hard knocks the
one time, I fear God, like, yeah, that's it, that's it.
Who's at di'angelo hall? The Angelo Hall? I fear God,
homie like, that's it. And it's a Warriors game, and
(29:59):
I all he felt like it was. It was way
more fun to play against Eddie George and Jerome Bettis
and those guys than it was to play against guys
like Ward Done, you know those more like a A Who,
Charlie Garner, you know those type of guys. It was
way more fun to play against the Eddie Georges. Like
(30:20):
Eddie George was probably the Derrick Henry of our time,
and I enjoyed hitting him, really, oh, I enjoyed.
Speaker 3 (30:30):
It was like same running style though, I.
Speaker 1 (30:34):
Mean, think about it, both very very explosive, very very fast.
At times. I would I would venture to say maybe
Eddie George might have even been more elusive in his
running style than maybe even Derrick Henry is. Derek Henry
(30:54):
is a North South runner.
Speaker 3 (30:56):
I am at Eddie George was six three thirty five.
I didn't really see us. I knew he was taught,
I didn't realize he was that big bro.
Speaker 1 (31:03):
He's ginormous and yoked He's still yoked up today as
the coach. His leg muscles his I mean, dude was
yoked up. But I always want I always was seeking
to try to knock the s out of the bigger backs,
like I wanted to try to knock the s out
(31:26):
of a Jerome Bettist all the bus, wheels on the
bus go round and round. We're gonna see today. We're
gonna see today, you know. And and so to me,
I like these types of exchanges, because what's gonna what's
wrong with you? Man?
Speaker 5 (31:46):
I think you've talked about it before you you played.
Speaker 1 (31:50):
And that's why and and that's why Jonas doesn't need
to be is a great one. The problem, here's the
problem with Mike at the problem with Mike Alstott was
that he used to drag cars. He used to do
running drills where he pulled cars like he would hold
the ball and pull cars. And that was his his
(32:13):
part of his training regiment was he would they would
hook him up to a harness, he'd hold the ball
and he would pull cars.
Speaker 3 (32:21):
My arms would come off my tours. So if I
did that, literally removed from my body.
Speaker 1 (32:26):
If I tried that, Hey, bro, So when you hit Allstock,
when you hit Allstot, he he would lower his center
of gravity in a way where if you didn't hit
him just right, that pulled the car kicks in. And
so you don't want to get into a tugging match.
(32:50):
You don't want in West.
Speaker 3 (32:52):
Palm keep going.
Speaker 1 (32:53):
You don't. You don't want to get into a tugging
match with with Mike Alstott when he's running. So it's
it's very you got to be very, very intentional when
you hit a Mike Alstot because he's just that was
just a that is a one of one running back
right there. And not to get off topic, but I
(33:13):
mean he because he he really didn't have any weak
points on his body, Like you can find weak points
on certain guys and always say, if you show me
a guy with shoulders, I'll show you I can take
him down. I mean the state.
Speaker 3 (33:28):
Steve Atwater on Christian m'koye is like one of the
great plays of the history of the NFL.
Speaker 1 (33:34):
Let me tell you something. When you can knock a
guy on his ass when his shoulder pads are down
and they're parallel to the ground, you are what they
would call an assassin of a hitter. You are an assassin.
For the most part. You want to be able to
(33:55):
try to take You never want to really hit a
guy straight on. That's first and foremost. You always want
to attack from angles. And then when you attack from
the angles, you gotta attack. I always say, you got
to attack the balance zone of a ball carrier. And
that's why I never you know, I had I had
the fortunate fortunate, I guess I was fortunate to have
(34:18):
a dad who showed us a lot of film and
and and watching the film, he would always say, look
at where look at where they're making contact. Look at
where they're making contact. So if it's a big back,
even if it's a little back, but little backs are
so easy to like knock down. You just got to
get to them and don't have them make you miss,
(34:39):
whereas a big back isn't going to make you miss.
But it's like when you make that contact, you gotta
you gotta contend with stiff arms that may come out.
That's a strong arm. His arm may be just as
long as yours, so you may not even be able
to get your hands on him because he literally kept
you away from his body because of how much longer
his arm is then you There's just all these different
(35:02):
elements that you have to take into play. It's so
technical and it's so scientific because you have to run
the angle in your head. You got to run all
of the things that the unknowns that could possibly take
place while making your approach to a guy like a
Derrick Henry. But I'll say this, I always love playing
(35:23):
against big backs. I take a big back and go
to war with a big back in the game any
day over them scatbacks because they can hide behind linemen,
different things like that. It's just so many different elements
that little scatbacks, you know what they can bring to
the table. But you go up against them big dogs, man,
that's like, you know, that's the clashing of the Titans,
(35:45):
and it's like do you got it or do I
have it? Yeah? You know, like like do Staley hard
because he's squat. He could squat, he could move, and
he was strong and he was quick. It was hard
to get to him. But Deuce McCallister, he was fast,
but he was big. Yeah, and you got a bigger target.
(36:06):
So always made it fun.
Speaker 3 (36:08):
Yeah, it's gonna be fun to watch that matchup as
well too. But let's talk about something serious here. Dependent

You know, in the midst of a heavy NFL and
(37:35):
college football weekend, we do have a major sporting event
that has taken place. Canelo Crawford Baby on Netflix Saturday night.
I cannot wait. I don't think people realize how big
of a fight. This actually is, Oh my god, fight
two of the best of their era and it's actually
(37:58):
happening in boxing.
Speaker 1 (38:00):
About it on Netflix, Big moment for Netflix. But yeah,
it's a big fight and I'm excited to see it.
Check it out. I'm a big Bud Crawford fan. He
made me a big, big believer of him when when
he he took on Earl Spence. I really thought that
Arrow was going to be able to outclass him, out
(38:21):
outstrategize him, out box him. And I couldn't have been
any more wrong. And since then, like my my level
of respect for for Bud Crawford has gone to a
whole nother level. But this is a daunting task. It's
a bigger, heavier, heavier hitting boxering and Canelo, and he
(38:46):
can take a punch. He's shown he can take a punch,
and and Bud Crawford is such a tremendous athlete. I
think he's going to be able to hit Canelo, but
I don't know that he's going to be able to
get the results that he has been able to get
prior to fighting a guy like Canelo, and Canelo is
(39:06):
still somewhat in his prime. Maybe venturing out of it
at this point. But it's gonna be an amazing fight.
I would say, even if you're not a boxing fan,
you need to check this one out because I think
there's going to be fireworks. It's going to be a
super entertaining fight.
Speaker 3 (39:23):
Neither guy's been knocked down at his career, and so like,
you look at that and you go, yeah, Bud Crawford
may not be able to hurt Canelo Alvarez because Canelo's
got a great chin, but so does Bud Crawford. And
you know, the odds are pretty close. Bud's a slight underdog.
But it's gonna be awesome to watch, and it's on Netflix.
I mean, come on, man, it's gonna be a great
event altogether.
Speaker 1 (39:44):
I would watch. Make sure you watch
