Speaker 1 (01:39):
I guess he didn't want to do new ones without
everybody submitting theirs. I would, so I just want Yeah,
that's the that's not here, Senator's.

Speaker 3 (01:51):
That's who it Pretty Ricky, Senator Ricky. He gets in

Speaker 1 (02:01):
No no, no, no, he's not all of our no no,
he's my music all right. Yeah, pretty Ricky is what
they call him.

Speaker 4 (02:14):
You know, we mentioned after the Lions big win against
the I don't work, after the Lions big win over
the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday Night Football, that you know,
the defense looks like they're better, even though they're all
banged up and they've got the injuries in the secondary.
The defense actually looks better than even last year. And
last year's defense was such that their defensive coordinator got

(02:37):
a head coaching job, Aaron Glenn going to New York
to be the head coach of the Jets. So how's
that going. The Jets are awful. Pete Prisco says they're
the worst team in the league. They're the only winless
team in the NFL right now, sitting at zero to seven.
And Justin Fields, their quarterback, who also chose to go

(02:59):
to the Jets, that's as opposed to sticking around in Pittsburgh.
He got benched for Tyron Taylor in the game against
Carolina over the weekend. He was banged up earlier this year,
and so Aaron Glenn was asked by I believe Rich
Semini of ESPN about whether or not there's going to
be a quarterback change. Let's take a listen.

Speaker 5 (03:18):
Well, that's something that you know, I want to continue
to look at again as early on Monday, you know,
So I'll say it this yesterday that there's a lot
of thought that goes in that for me personally, and
then being able to give with the staff, and then
just being able to ask other coaches that have been
in the situation, how they handle that. So I'm not
running away from the question at all.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
Rich.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
The thing is, I want to make.

Speaker 5 (03:41):
Sure that I make the right decision, and I don't
want to make red decisions either.

Speaker 4 (03:44):
All right, does that sound like somebody who's going to
be making a change at quarterback? Yes, yeah, that's what.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
Yes, the fact I mean, once they start saying, once
they start getting the staff involved, got gotta talk it through,
like when it's your guy, it's like, that's my guy.
Like just like how he jumped that. You know, it
wasn't the same person. I don't know, but he jumped
out whoever it was that asked him the question before.

(04:12):
If it's your guy, you're going to say that this
is our starter, this our guy. Whenever you get the well,
we got to go through it with the staff. I
trust their decisions. We're gonna look at the film anytime.
It's going back to looking at the film. It's a rap.
It's a rap. They've had enough. It's time to move on.

(04:32):
Maybe they'll get a win.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
Yeah. Maybe. Here's the reality of the situation. They're not
a good football team. They're not. And they they moved on.
They put themselves in this position. I don't know how
big of a piece he was ultimately and moving on
from Rogers, but this is what they put themselves in.
The one thing they can say say Justin Fields hasn't

(04:56):
turned the football over, you know he's he hasn't. You know,
he hasn't done that. But they just cannot stay on
the field. They cannot create explosives, they cannot get points.
They struggle. I mean four touchdown passes on the season.
So they've got to find a way of generating more production.
They've got to find a way and I don't know
if that if that falls on you know, just Justin

(05:17):
Fields the quarterback position. They haven't protected him well at times.
But this to me is it goes back before the
season even started. You had a guy who could have
given you a much better offensive play than what you have.
Now that's not the direction you wanted to go. So
you made this bed. Now you gotta lay in it,
right and whether if But the problem is if they
go to Tarrot Taylor, I mean, one, you've got a

(05:39):
lot of football left to be played, more than half
the season. And two it's like you're throwing in the
talent field too. You knew when you made the decision
to bring him in. He's still a work in progress
as a quarterback. He's still developed.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
Me.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
So, I don't know why you make that decision and
they don't want to see it through because you didn't
think you're gonna be oh in six, oh in seven.
I don't know, man, I just this organization is that
this is one of the more damning years for looking
at this organization and how poor of decisions they make.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
And that's saying something.

Speaker 3 (06:11):
Yeah, I mean in a way, it is. But then
like you look back at you know, what it was
like under Robert Sala and when Rogers was there, and
you realize, like all that dysfunction really came from the top.
It wasn't like Sala. It wasn't all those things. I mean,
that year got bad the first year when Rodgers going
to be there because of the expectations, and you know,

(06:33):
obviously it didn't work out because he got injured and
then things started to come off the rails. But at
no point that everyone rallied around Robert Saal on that
team and just say, look, our plan A went to
crap four plays in the season. Let's just calm down.
Let's get to the following year and let's kind of
build from there there And it said they hit the
panic button about halfway through the season. It felt like

(06:56):
they can sala they're a wundering ship and sea and
like it's just the whole thing's been a disaster.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
Well, I always said, you can't perform, never will, never happen,
were so all. All this really says is that the
dysfunction from the top, from the leadership has not changed.

Speaker 4 (07:21):
Is he going to be a one and done coach?
I don't think that happens, because I think that would
be Woody Johnson admitting that he made a mistake and
if you were willing to get involved, to want to
say bye bye to Aaron Rodgers because you had a
better plan for the organization. I think he's going to
get another year. But they're really bad, man, like really

(07:43):
really bad.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
They got to take a stab out of quarterback. I
believe they will take a big swing for a guy
this offseason. Well, they're going to be drafting one overalls. Yeah,
so if they, I mean, so there you go. You
know they're gonna get a guy. He's got to have
a quarterback before you make the decision that you're going

(08:07):
to go in a different direction from him, especially the
way it ended with Oldbrick and with Salah, like it
just you gotta have, you gotta I mean, and look
they had a quarterback. I mean, you had Aaron Rodgers
and it didn't work and he wanted to stay. It's
just not The dysfunction will always nullify anything positive. It

(08:31):
just will. It'll never Talent will never outdo dysfunction. It'll
never do it. And you're seeing it play out in
real time. I watched it play out with Washington real time.
People who are New York Jets fans or are spectators
of the New York Jets. You're watching what dysfunction looks
like at the highest level. Because talent, the talent is

(08:52):
there on that team, they just can't seem to win.
As Q mentioned, I mean, you got guys that have
coached this team and you've gotten the same results with
each coach. That's when you know that the consistency of
what that element is, that current of energy that is
in that building. That's how you know that's what it is.

(09:13):
Because you get different people and yet you get the
same results, different coaches, same results, different players, same results.

Speaker 3 (09:21):
It's like same results.

Speaker 1 (09:22):
So and they're worse this year, like they're actually pushing
for an all time low. It looks like have they
ever gone winless the Jets? Yeah, oh god, I don't
think so. But you know, I at least they could
probably pull that off this year. I mean something, You
got to set your sights on something.

Speaker 4 (09:40):
You know, Hey, Brady, who do you think is going
to be the number one pick? I know it's early,
but if the Jets are picking number one overall, who
do you think is the first quarterback off the board
right now?

Speaker 3 (09:50):
Mendoza right now? Yeah, Like he's played the most consistent,
like best football wire to wire. I think it'll be
interesting to see what happens with Dante or out Oregan.
He's super talented, so I could see some guys liking
him better. Just you know, I think if you look
at Fernando Mendoza, I'm not trying to say it's like

(10:13):
a system quarterback, but obviously he's exploded and played great
with kurtin Signetti in this system. But when I watched him,
I don't know if he can make you know, the
awkward body throws, some of the things that Dante more
can do so it it'll be one of those two
and this year's draft class. And I'll be honest after that,

(10:36):
Like the tape's not great. I mean, obviously I would
not imagine Arch is gonna come out. Leonora Sellers has
had a really tough year. You can kind of go
through the line of like all the guys who are
draft eligible we were talking about before the season. I mean,
I feel bad for Drew Alleries obviously didn't have a
good season. He's injured anyway, He's out for the rest

(10:57):
of the year. So there's a lot of guys who had,
you know, big expectations, haven't played quite as well. And
there's some guys who fly under the radar, you know,
like little Luke Altmeyer out there at Illinois. He's had
a really good year. You know, Pee and talked about
him quite as much. But you know, mate John material
will be an interesting one, just because the injury kind

(11:17):
of stimied a little bit of what Oklahoma was doing.
But before that he was the heist my favorite, So
it'll be interesting. Like, but those two to me have
separated themselves from the rest. You know, I would have
thrown Carson Beck with those two. But the last game
he played, it was like last season all over again.
I mean reared its ugly head. He made some I

(11:38):
mean there's just some really tough, tough like decisions and
you're trying to break down what is he thinking here?
So I just want one of those two if you're
looking for a quarterback.

Speaker 4 (11:49):
I just wonder if those guys would look at the
Jets if they're picking one and be like in this
day and age of nil, like I just think, yeah,
got played all big and I'll just stay here, Like
why would you want to sign it? Like you know
how this is going to go. You've got too many examples.

Speaker 1 (12:07):
I was going.

Speaker 3 (12:08):
The problem is is there's no guarantee they're not there
the following year.

Speaker 1 (12:11):
Dang, we're going to get you, buddy, We're going to
give it.

Speaker 3 (12:17):
Tell tell me who's tell me.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
You want to take another year? Huh Okay, well we'll
be back next year for you. Don't worry about it
either this year next year. I mean, hey, we're going
to get you. Just don't play well. I mean, hey,
there's two things that happen. Either you play poorly or
you were going to take you Hey, you ever heard
of a player tank in a season. If I don't

(12:43):
play well, I don't have I don't have to get
drafted bout the Jets.

Speaker 3 (12:47):
Maybe that's the one time winning the Heisman. By go
through the last last ten years to give you an idea, Okay,
last ten drafts, they drafted number six overall, number twenty
all right, that's following year in twenty sixteen, number six again,
number three, number three, number eleven, number two, number four,

(13:09):
and there's fifteen, and there's eleven, and there's seven. Tang
so they drafted the top ten that I just say
seven times, is that right? Last ten years?

Speaker 4 (13:18):
That's I just if you're one of these guys coming out,
you're basically signing over your future to that bag of
crap and say, oh, I trust you guys, like you're
gonna put me in the right position to succeed.

Speaker 1 (13:34):
All right, I'll go back to Bloomington.

Speaker 3 (13:36):
I'm good.

Speaker 4 (13:37):
I'll you know, we'll go chase a national title, like
at least somewhere I know, like I'm familiar, I can
have fun. I'm making money now, like I just that's
a bad situation, man. And there's people that root for
that team willingly. It's real bad spell it.

Speaker 1 (13:58):
They do the whole eagle. They do less letters.

Speaker 3 (14:02):
How did the eagles thing go? What did that one
sound like?

Speaker 1 (14:06):
Which one?

Speaker 3 (14:08):
Owt?

Speaker 1 (14:15):
And that was the mayor. That's the mayor.

Speaker 3 (14:18):
Somebody voted for her. Do that one more time time, ow.

Speaker 1 (14:29):
Cobird elegans elgins. Let's go birds elegins.

Speaker 4 (14:36):
Okay, all right, well, good luck everybody. If you're a
Jets fan, good luck. That's the of the state tube.
By the way, don't hold us to that standard.

Speaker 1 (14:48):
The Eagles.

Speaker 4 (14:51):
Well I know this. Get tools to perform at the
highest level on every job without compromise. When you shop,
makeed at the home depot, when the job calls for
the best all on Mikida bill to be the best
available at the home depot. How pros get more to me?

Speaker 1 (15:04):
Just making a team that you know, mascot you can
easily spell like you know the ox the oxen oh
x e in oxen.

Speaker 4 (15:17):
Point you know what I mean? Yeah, ox oh x.
Why'd you change your mascot? Our fans are dumb and
our politicians can't spell. So we're tired of embarrass.

Speaker 1 (15:28):
We're tired of embarrassing ourselves. What do you want from us?
You had to know that the L right after the
E was just it was just going to go wrong.

Speaker 3 (15:37):
It was going to go bad.

Speaker 1 (15:38):
There was no good that could come from that. Why
would you think that the L was second? Honestly? All right?

Speaker 4 (15:47):
Well, coming up next here, though, we do have some
coaches in the world of football talking.

Speaker 3 (15:52):
They are talking.

it absorbs that motion. Huh what if you want the motion?

Speaker 3 (17:53):
Let me ask you. You take off a demotion fire?

Speaker 4 (17:57):
Did did pen stay eight? Set in motion?

Speaker 1 (18:01):
Here you go, coach.

Speaker 4 (18:03):
I watch feels like there's a lot of movement now,
a lot of whispers, you know, like wait, I'm gonna.

Speaker 3 (18:08):
Be transparent and I just may not hit well with
LeVar but I wanted to talk about a subject, and
I feel like LeVar is gonna get sensitive about it.
So I don't know if we can here we go
go No, I'm serious, No, God, do it all right.
There's two big jobs that are opening right now, Penn
State of Florida. Which one's better. I know it's direction
you're gonna go, And so I didn't say anything immediately,

(18:30):
So go well, And I think I'm with you because
I don't know that the Florida job is what it
used to be. I think the one thing Florida has
going for it is it's a obviously in the Sunshine State,
and you've got a lot of talent right around Gainesville,
like in the state of Florida. If you can recruit
the state of Florida, you can compete versus Florida State Miami.

(18:50):
And who knows if Florida State is gonna make a
change or not, but if you can recruit that state,
you can be pretty darn good. So that's the one
thing they have going for him against Penn State. And
I'm not saying that. Look, if you're going to try
to tell me that you think Pennsylvania football is better
than Florida football. You're out of your mind. As far
as talent, that's just that's not true. There's no stats, facts,
anything to back that up.

Speaker 1 (19:11):
Well, there's not those stats facts to back what you're
saying up. There's no good, no facts for your claims.
There is way more Division one scholarships divided. There's way
more Division one scholarships that are provided to Florida high
school football.

Speaker 3 (19:27):
Players than there are in the state of Pennsylvania. And
it's not close. Even if you went per capita, it's
not close. So that is the fact to that. Now, again,
I'm not saying Pennsylvania has bad high school football. I'm
just saying the state of Florida, Texas, Southern California, those
are the three predominant states with the most talent. Georgia's
like fourth. If you look at the most Division one

(19:49):
scholarships that are offered, so from a talent standpoint, like
those four states stand out. So that's the only thing
that I think Florida uh and the fact there's no
stnicum tax would have that would be attractive to a
head coach as compared to penn State, and that.

Speaker 1 (20:09):
Penn State has forty Hall of famers. Yeah again, forty
Hall of Famers at second to California. How many Hesman
Trophy winners and forty one? I mean I didn't look
up Heisman Trophy winners, but we had we I'm sure
we have. I mean we're Pennsylvania. I'm sure we have

(20:29):
a Heisman Trophy winner. I mean we got Dan Marino,
we got your guy, Joe Montana. I mean we got
Johnny Unitas, we got we got Drell Reeves, we got
tyler oyl we got Sean You like, like, stop stop
the madness. Pennsylvanian's play football player we got, we got

(20:49):
the rocket. The rocket is from PA. You know that
made it famous to run and be fast and we're
twenty five and do the Heisman. Just like, no, the rocket,
not the rocket man, John the rocket rahe rahee bischmau gotcha, Yeah,
you know from PA. Yeah, I'm just saying everything great

(21:11):
comes from PA. So don't sweat it. It's all good.
And the bottom line is is that again Penn State
was one game away, one play away. They were better
than the team that beat them. They just didn't happen
to win because we didn't have any other receivers out there.
Other than Tyler Warren who plays tight end, and we
still almost won the game. We were we're one game,

(21:35):
one game away from Yeah, I'm talking about were. One
Game's never entirely referent, it's never entirely different. It's never
entirely different.

Speaker 4 (21:46):
Florida's a better job.

Speaker 3 (21:47):
It's never No, it's not. It's not.

Speaker 1 (21:51):
Great.

Speaker 3 (21:51):
John.

Speaker 1 (21:52):
Do you see the build out that's going on with
the stadium you have you like you've been to State.

Speaker 3 (21:58):
How if the fans show up the rest the season?

Speaker 1 (22:00):
I mean, I get that, I get that, that's a
conversation point for this season. But the bottom line is
you're asking me, what's the potential better job. What's the
better job to have as Penn State? If I'm coaching,
if I'm coaching college football and I got an opportunity
to choose Penn State, I would compare Penn State to

(22:20):
any program, any pros.

Speaker 3 (22:23):
I agreed with you. Somehow it didn't hit. But now
we're talking about like how many pro football famers are
from the.

Speaker 1 (22:29):
I was just trying to muddy the waters. That was all.
It's just fun to do because I know we got
a lot of them. That that was the only reason,
like for what it's worth, if I'm being honest.

Speaker 3 (22:40):
You also have a lot of older ones like the
new trend.

Speaker 1 (22:44):
If you're talking about Brady, that's what I'm saying, Brady Quinn,
That's what I'm saying. I was joking. They're all where,
they're all old except for Revs. Did Revs get in yet? Yeah?
He did get in, right, I think he went in anyway,
Yeah he went in. Yeah, anyway. Here's the thing, right,

(23:04):
Pennsylvania football isn't what it used to bet if I'm
being the honest for what I've gathered and what I've heard.
But with that being said, Pennsylvania playing football is something
that is truly something to be a part of. I mean,
if you talk about our sports teams, Penn State holds
down the whole entire state for college and they do

(23:27):
a damn good job of handling that role and responsibility.
Then we have the reigning Super Bowl champs, and we
have a team that competes every single year on the
other side of the coin in the AFC with the Steelers.
It's a football state and they've all won, They've all

(23:47):
won Super Bowls, and there is two national titles that
is at Penn State like old eighties. It's old, but
nonetheless it's still a place that has the res and
has the value to be able to build up what
it is that you want to have. The community supports
being able to build a national title contender if it does.

Speaker 4 (24:11):
If you were Lane Kiffen and you even entertained the
idea of leaving, which I don't I don't know that
you know, leaving for Florida would.

Speaker 3 (24:19):
Be well, okay, better than his position. So so I
understand where you're going with this. Well, let's let's let's
understand why each school did what they did. You know,
obviously James Franklin who you know, and Lamar you've talked
about this, we've talked about this. You know, he built
up this Penn State program from you know, a couple
of years of Bill O'Brien, but really a really tough time,

(24:42):
and he got it to a point where now we
look at them as a team that's going to contend
every year for the Big Ten. And you know, last year,
like you pointed out, it was getting closer to trying
to play for national championship. Now this year, you know,
I look at what happened when they brought an Andy
colden Nick, and I really kind of pinpoint that as

(25:04):
the decision that ultimately did him in because cold of Nikky,
yes an offensive, creative mind. Bad fit. Though with Drew Aller,
it's just a bad fit. Like the offensive system he
tried to run, it was similar to what he was.
He did it Kansas, And the truth of the matter is,
like I see Penn State and there's a lot of

(25:25):
teams that fall in this category. Wisconsin's the same thing.
Get out a shotgun, go under center, bring back a
full back, bring back multiple tight ends. Like, does Penn
State have any issue recruiting tight ends?

Speaker 4 (25:37):
No?

Speaker 3 (25:37):
Okay, great, go find two, go find three that you
can put on the field. We have to they have
any problem recruiting running backs?

Speaker 1 (25:44):
We know we have three.

Speaker 3 (25:46):
No problem recruiting running backs. And you know what else
Penn State can find. They usually have one or two receivers.
He's usually one or two at least one. Yeah, So
what do you do? Go play traditional old school football?
What's your damn quarterback? Under center? Run the damn ball,
play action, boots, all those things Alur could do, But

(26:08):
you put him in this drop back passing game. Spread
it out, five empty sets like maybe every once in
a while, but that's not what you can hang your
hat on. That's not the identity of what Penn State
has been or what they've recruited to Lineman tight ends
running like those are your skill position players. Then go
create an offense around it. So that one decision. Even

(26:32):
though at the time I was like, Okay, this is
great creative, he's a good coach, like we saw him
have success at Kansas, it ultimately did it in because
the pairing with drew out. It just it never fit.
It was an awkward fit for what that offense should
be and what they were trying to do, and ultimately
it led to this string of losses. And you know,
now James Franklin isn't there. But the point I want

(26:55):
to get to is both these schools made decisions because
they have someone in mind. You don't fire your coach,
you don't do it in season, you don't do it
the way they both did unless there is that one person.
For Florida, it's Kiffin that's been reported that's kind of
well known. For Penn State, I think it's Matt Rule.
I'm not positive, but the relationship with the ad pat

(27:17):
Craft and everything else with the history of Matt being there,
like you kind of look at it and say, Okay,
maybe it's Matt Rule. But I think that's one interesting
part to all this is if it is Matt Rule,
you know, James Franklin, for whatever you want to say
about his lack of success, had more Top twenty five
wins than Matt Rule has had at the college level.

(27:41):
It's so like, is Matt Ruling upgrade? If that's who
they're going after over James Franklin.

Speaker 1 (27:45):
I'm not entertaining this one. I will stay out of it.
Why because I'm close. It's a legitimate question. I'm close
to the situation, so okay, I don't want to tell
on myself by responding to it. I think both fine coaches.
I think they both have great coaching resumes. I think
we know the story of Matt Ruhle and and his

(28:08):
connection to the school.

Speaker 4 (28:09):
It feels like the appeal of Matt Rule over James
Franklin would be that James Franklin felt like a little
bit of an outsider even though he embraced the community.
And it just seems I don't but I'm no.

Speaker 1 (28:26):
I mean, it's great to be able to say, oh,
he played at Penn State.

Speaker 4 (28:29):
But I mean, if Matt Rule didn't have a background
at Penn State, would even be in the discussion for
this job.

Speaker 1 (28:35):
It probably wouldn't be as loud as it is. It
wouldn't be as much of a discussion point. But there's
a possibility. I mean probably not actually like no, if
he didn't go to Penn State, no, it wouldn't be
a question.

Speaker 3 (28:49):
But I don't know.

Speaker 1 (28:50):
They love how much they he loves Penn State though.

Speaker 3 (28:54):
Well, and look it's as Alma Modern. There's that connection
we talked about, you know, the fact that as as
he's a former player, he's been in the program, he understands,
Like that's like what it takes, you know. But again,
I think you go back and you look at you know,
Matt Rules resume as a college football head coach and
Graham you could say, always been at Temple, Baylor and Nebraska.

(29:15):
So like, you know, maybe it's more of an uphill
climb versus being the head coach of Penn State and
playing top twenty five teams. But James Franklin was sixteen
and thirty six, which is, by the way, not great.
Four and twenty one versus you know, top ten opponents.
Again not great, but it's still better than Matt Rules record.

(29:36):
Like you're I guess what I'm pointing out is if
you compare it to Florida, where Florida's bringing in a
guy in Lane Kiff who has been proven to knock
off top ten teams, top twenty five teams. He's built
up most places he's been, whether it's FAU or Old
Miss into contenders for that conference or even in the

(29:56):
case of competing for that, Like, you know what you're
gonna be getting. I think with Matt Rule, the interesting
thing is you're you know what you're bringing as far
as a man. You know what you're bringing as far
as a recruiter and what he's gonna build in regards
to a program, but as far as the track record
of success and winning games a little bit more of
a question mark. And I feel like you've moved on
from a guy that you had concerns about that with

(30:17):
and you're bringing in a guy who hasn't as much
success with that.

Speaker 1 (30:20):
That's if what you're saying is is accurate, It.

Speaker 3 (30:24):
One hundred percent is accurate. But James Frank who was
sixteen and thirty six versus top twenty five teams four
and twenty one versus Top ten. Matt Rules has two
wins his entire college tenure versus Top ten.

Speaker 4 (30:35):
What I was putting in question, by the way, I
have a source in and around the Pittsburgh area who said,
and I quote, let me just read the text from
my source, and I quote, Pitt will have a better
season than Penn State, and if Duquane had a football team,

(30:55):
they would too. Do which disrespectful.

Speaker 1 (31:02):
I'm gonna punch you in your mouth like acting like
this as funny. I will punch you right in your mouth.
Has never team punch you right in your mouth?

Speaker 4 (31:12):
Damn?

Speaker 3 (31:14):
The Ducaine comments too far. Pitt may end up with
a better record, though, I mean, they're a little freshman
quarterbacks playing well.

Speaker 1 (31:22):
All right, What what do you want?

Speaker 3 (31:25):
What do you get mad about this?

Speaker 4 (31:26):
Like?

Speaker 3 (31:27):
We can't control any of this?

Speaker 4 (31:28):
Okay, I think what's happening here and right now I
can already tell you by the vibe, I know.

Speaker 3 (31:33):
It's probably gonna lose Notre Dame, maybe Georgia tex So
they you know, have four losses.

Speaker 4 (31:39):
LeVar is gonna leave us to take a Penn stage job.
He's gonna leave this show to go beyond the staff
with five, go beyond the staff. Yeah, I mean you
never know.

Speaker 3 (31:51):
Look, I know LeVar wants to be on that staff. No,
you do not know that what he wants a lot
of I know he wants to get on top of
that staff.

Speaker 4 (32:06):
I mean I wouldn't mind. I wouldn't mind it. So
when does the Kiffin news get announced? What are we
waiting like twenty four or forty eight hours after the
season or how's that? How's that gonna work? When he
goes to Florida. Plus, he looks like a Florida guy
like he does. He's got the VIA guy.

Speaker 1 (32:23):
He's saw him do his interview like they were interviewing him.
Why he was standing outside in some lawn or something
like that white v neck on man, he was just
hanging out by hisself, like nobody was out there with him.
He was just he was behind some big ass house
like just talking to Pat McAfee.

Speaker 3 (32:46):
Like all right.

Speaker 1 (32:48):
Then he gave him the double the double fist pump
at the end. Kiffin is a killer man.

Speaker 4 (32:54):
If you look at his beef, if he were to
get the Florida job, and you just look at his
resume and you actor and like obviously the USC, he
was at Tennessee, he was at FAU, the Raiders like
he like he is, really bounced around and had success

(33:15):
in most places, but the USC tarmac incident, which by
the way, I think he's the last coach to win
in South Bend for USC, and then you had the
Raiders debacle, and somehow, some way he just keeps keeps
fighting gigs and uh, but.

Speaker 3 (33:30):
He seems like he's better. I feel like he's better now.
He's in a better spot. I think, you know, personally
and all that, and that's.

Speaker 1 (33:40):
That plays a part in it as well. Of course,
you know, I don't get into people's personal business.

Speaker 3 (33:46):
But and Jonas, you are correct, the last time Southern
Cal beat Notre Dame was in two thousand. In Notre
Dame was in twenty eleven, Lyn Kevin was head coach.

Speaker 1 (33:57):
I mean, wow, don't be surprised if it's a different
name you see pop up in Penn State.

Speaker 3 (34:05):
That's all I'm saying, Well, we know six off the
table rules.

Speaker 1 (34:09):
I'm not I'm not you know, I'm not going to
entertain that. I'm just saying that you just might not
be accurate with what you're saying. That's all I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (34:18):
Well, then you're saying Chris not saying anything about anything?

Speaker 1 (34:24):
What else?

Speaker 3 (34:24):
Was it accurate that I just said I know a name?
Can you stop?

Speaker 4 (34:29):
Like?

Speaker 1 (34:30):
What are you doing?

Speaker 3 (34:31):
You don't know any names?

Speaker 1 (34:33):
Who? You don't know any names? I'm just saying, don't
be surprised if you hear a different name. Brady, how
do you say ten in Spanish? D? Yes?

Speaker 2 (34:46):
I just.

Speaker 3 (34:48):
I don't know, man. Yeah, you then you'll swing for
the fence. They don't make this decision unless they swing
for the fence. I'm sure they're calling up all these
guys who then go back to the school they're at
and they just say, are you gonna match or not? Right? Like,
that's what this comes down to. I mean a little uh.

Speaker 1 (35:06):
I just can't comment on it. I'm sworn to secrecy.

Speaker 3 (35:10):
Many recuse yourself. Yes, you have to recuse yourself from
this contint.

Speaker 4 (35:16):
Correct little manny D, that's correct. Return it back to
State College. Some Louisiana Hot.

Speaker 1 (35:22):
Sauce Haluisiana Hot. All right, let's take it great.

her search two pros FSR. So right when things start
to turn around and things start to head in the
right direction for somebody in the NFL, the Carolina Panthers,
and then they get kicked right in the nuts.

Speaker 1 (36:38):
Dellging.

Speaker 4 (36:39):
So it just sucks, man, I felt it hurfect.

Speaker 1 (36:46):
Just sucks Carolina.

Speaker 4 (36:48):
So Carolina hasn't been above five hundred this late in
the season since twenty nineteen. And now Bryce Young's got
a high ankle sprain and it looks like he's in question,
serious question that he's going to be able to give
it a go this week, which means Andy Dalton's going
to be out there. Not not exactly the worst thing
in the world, but it just feels like there's some

(37:10):
momentum there. They beat Dallas, they beat the awful Jets,
even though I picked and bet on the New York
Jets in that game for some inexplicable reasoner. Yeah, it's bad.
It was bad one in two weeks for Knox locks bad.
But if I four, but I was I was really

(37:30):
hoping that it sucks Sonny, that this was going to
continue on and we were going to get to see
them build on that because Dave Canalis and Bryce Hung
have got to be the nicest coach quarterback combination in
the history of the NFL.

Speaker 1 (37:43):
They seem like great guys.

Speaker 3 (37:45):
And they've gotten better. They're building something there.

Speaker 4 (37:48):
And now he's out, like all right, here we go
and I don't know what this how long term this is, but.

Speaker 1 (37:54):
It's positive though.

Speaker 3 (37:56):
It is even with you guys think Bill O'Brien would
come back to take the head coaching job, but p
su ah, let's think about that. Somebody told you to
say that. No, I'm just like, we didn't have enough
time last segment. Why you Elo? Let's moke Elko is
a guy who I'd look at. Let's go to that
like it's like it was time to move on.

Speaker 1 (38:16):
That was so last segment.

Speaker 3 (38:18):
I mean, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (38:19):
I'm not a fan of Bill O'Brien. I thought somebody
told you to say Bill O'Brien to try to get.

Speaker 3 (38:24):
I was just thinking, I'm like, wait, bill o Brian's head.

Speaker 1 (38:28):
Yeah, and he can stay right on there, dang, Yeah,
what's his what's their record there?

Speaker 3 (38:36):
I mean, and then good, all good, all good coaches.

Speaker 4 (38:40):
You know what's their record at at Boston College? Player
I just named like three other coaches. You don't have
to focus on Bill O'Brien.

Speaker 1 (38:48):
What what is Bill O'Brien's record?

Speaker 3 (38:51):
Not good?

Speaker 1 (38:51):
Okay, not good? Yeah, thank you.

Speaker 4 (38:54):
I think Rabel's kid is on his staff too. With
Bill O'Brien's.

Speaker 1 (38:58):
I mean, let's go with Rabel, Let's go get variable.
I'll be all right with that. Let's do that. Yeah,
I want to do that.

Speaker 3 (39:06):
You know who you can have?

Speaker 4 (39:09):
What tim Timmy Chang? Oh, why he's got six wins
this year?

Speaker 1 (39:13):
What do you think about that? Yeah? Cool about that.

Speaker 4 (39:18):
By the way, this show is sponsored by DraftKings sportsbook
