Straight from Paris?
Speaker 3 (01:33):
Like, what's that straight from Pariss?
Speaker 1 (01:40):
By the way, do you think any of these songs
that we opened the show with do you think this
is encouraged people.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
To want to like download the song?
Speaker 1 (01:49):
Like because like how old? How old is this? Thank
you Draymond? How old is that song we just played?
Speaker 3 (01:56):
Man, he had you know, he had just passed away
when this song got released. I believe so it would
have been two thousand, Yes, I did. I think it's
so hard would have been two thousand, and he'd like
he had passed away like right before this was released
or at the same time or something to that effect.
(02:18):
Was it was kind of sad.
Speaker 1 (02:19):
I think the song that mine to open the show,
the Camara it's called the sp litt. I think that
song came out in around two thousand, like maybe two
thousand and two, like two thousand and one, two thousand
and two.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
So I wonder if, like all of a.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
Sudden, like people you know, who have you know, some
sort of a connection to the revenue that comes in
for these songs, are seeing like a spike in sales, going,
what the hell happened here?
Speaker 2 (02:46):
Did somebody like how did this?
Speaker 1 (02:48):
I wonder if they know that we're playing their songs
on this show, on all these hundreds of affiliates.
Speaker 3 (02:54):
Yeah, he passed away in two thousand and.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
Oh my god, that's a throwback. Huh, what the hell
was that? Sam?
Speaker 3 (03:12):
All right, let's try that one again. So you know
you got up out of here in two thousand. Man,
all right, let's be more. Let's be more positive.
Speaker 5 (03:25):
Carl Lewis, please don't remember what hell? No, it's Conan O'Brien.
They used to do that all the day, used to
before the year two thousand hit. They used to joke
all the time that you do these sketches about what
the year two thousand will be, like.
Speaker 1 (03:37):
Oh the soul Actually I was because I don't watch
bad shows. That's probably why I didn't recogniz ra show.
So maybe that maybe that's what it was.
Speaker 3 (03:45):
All right, let's try one more time. Here we go.
You ready, and LeVar Arrington got drafted number two. Yeah,
that's a little bit more positive.
Speaker 2 (03:59):
There you go, Yeah, there we go, There you go.
It is uh that worked out.
Speaker 1 (04:05):

So two thousand that's what you found. We recorded it
in ninety nine and it was released on a project
in two thousand.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
So there you go, bringing it back all these years later,
a couple of decades later.
Speaker 3 (04:50):
Yeah, shouts out to me for bringing him back.
Speaker 2 (04:52):
Now they're starting to get some residuals. How about that
show up in the bank account?
Speaker 3 (04:56):
We don't play it. We don't play a song long
enough for it, and to get one off our show.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
Yeah, at least people are like, hey, what song is that?
Speaker 1 (05:02):
I've hat people reach out and ask what song it is,
and they probably went on and bought it on their
their iTunes or wherever they get it at.
Speaker 2 (05:08):
Yeah, Loo, good for them.
Speaker 3 (05:10):
That makes sense.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
You know, we've talked about Ta takabay Looa and the
big concern going into this season has been his concussions
from a year ago and how he rebounds from that
and this new helmet they've given him and the judo
or jiu jitsu that you know, his head coach, Mike
Vape Daniel is still trying to sort out because he
(05:32):
can't seem to figure out which martial art discipline Toua
was actually doing to get ready for the season, and
then the other one that's just sort of flown under
the radar is Kenny Pickett, who also had a couple
of concussions last year. They were fifty six days apart
from each other. There was some concern that, okay, well,
(05:55):
you know he had two concussions, and you know this
was something that you know, he missed time for, much
like Tua Tugobailoa miss time for. And Kenny Pickett is
going the route of this new helmet that they've talked about,
this new uh and he discussed it with Mark Aveley
of the of the Athletic just about it. Just he
showed up and all of a sudden, the helmet was
(06:17):
in his locker and he's going to go and wear
the helmet. If he feels like that's gonna, you know,
give him extra protection, then he's going to do what
he does. And the part that I just still am
struggling to figure out what the solution is is if
these guys do suffer another concussion, and we'll just keep
it at Kenny Pickett, but you could throw two into
the mix.
Speaker 2 (06:37):
Obviously, how long before their.
Speaker 1 (06:41):
Next concussion before people are just okay with the fact that,
all right, they suffer in another concussion. This happens from
time to time. It's unfortunate in the NFL, But like
the idea that neither one of these guys is going
to get dinged or hit the back of their head
on the turf, which is what this new helmet is
designed to sort of protect against. The idea that neither
one of these guys are going to play another decade
(07:02):
in the NFL and not suffer another concussion in their
career seems pretty far fetched. And at what point do
we have enough time in between what happened this past
season for these guys and what happens next before people
are just okay with the fact that it's a physical
game and this stuff happens.
Speaker 3 (07:19):
I mean, that's how it's always been. You get you
guys get weeded out by injuries and age. Just like
the law of the wild, injuries and age, the injured
are the most preyed upon. That the ones that are
aging are the most preyed upon and aren't able to survive.
That's just how it is in the National Football League
(07:41):
and then football in general is you're weeded out by
your your durability, you're weeded out by your age, and
that is how it will always be. That's if it
didn't happen that way, like species would overrun and over take,
you know.
Speaker 2 (08:01):
The planet to Serengeti.
Speaker 3 (08:03):
And that's the same exact premise in the National Football League.
I mean, if you look at what happened during COVID,
when all of these guys got granted these these you know,
years of eligibility, it threw off the ecosystem of recruitment
and of rosters in college. Yeah, you got six, seven, eight, nine,
(08:26):
ten year seniors you know that are coming back because
they were granted this opportunity based upon COVID.
Speaker 2 (08:33):
Oh what about the high schoolers got completely.
Speaker 3 (08:35):
Destroyed and high schoolers lost They lost time and lost
the ability to get recruited because those those were scholarship
spots were already taken by guys that were staying longer
because of COVID. So it just disrupts the ecosystem. So
I get why, you know, you would try to prolong
(08:59):
somebody's career from ending, and why a player would try
to prolong their career from ending due to due to
an injury. But that is continuously the reality that exists.
More often than not, guys are retiring from the game
of football because of injuries that they just can't. They
(09:22):
can't get get pasted. And and that's that's all kinds.
That's that's achilles tendons, it's turf toes, it's you know,
it's planner fasciitis. It's it's Tommy John, you know, surgery
dudes with their elbows, it's it's it's knees, bad knees, acls,
mc ls, lcls, cartilage, kneecaps, it's you name it, every
(09:49):
single injury that you can think of. There's reasons why
guys aren't playing anymore. Soft tissue guys, hamstrings, quads, you know,
different things like that, growing's hips. You get like you
can go all the way through the entire body and say,
(10:11):
there are injuries that take place that are the demise
of a player, and that's going to always be the case.
Speaker 1 (10:19):
So if and I think part of what happened last year,
the reason why Kenny Pickett didn't get as much of
the attention for his multiple concussions like Tua did is
because where Tuas happened, the stage it was on, that's
it looks so much worse, and because more people saw it,
like it just shows the reach, it shows when the
(10:40):
moment happened. It was national television. It was one was
on Thursday Night Football. You know, he you know, his
hands locked up. Just the the imagery and just the
optics of it were awful all the way through. I mean,
Kenny Pickett suffered a couple of concussions as well. He
didn't have all of that, and it wasn't on full
display on national TV. He suffered his I just think, look,
(11:04):
you can try and you know, do you know, adjust
the helmets and add these new special helmets to where
you know, they won't hit their head on the back
of the turf, But it just still doesn't alleviate the
fact that, look, you know, Kenny Pickett likes to be mobile.
He likes to scramble a little bit if he's you know,
you know, diving for a first down and he catches
a knee in the ear hole, Like, I mean, what
(11:25):
are you supposed to do? Like, at some point, don't
you just accept the terms and conditions that are the
NFL and it is what it is, like you can
only do so much to try and make it as
safe as possible. And it feels like I'm just wondering,
are these guys going to be labeled for the rest
of their careers concussion prone, and that's just going to
(11:46):
be what it is. And they could not have another
one for seven eight years, and all of a sudden,
they get another concussion on a on a fluky crazy play,
and next thing you know, the conversation spark back up again.
Like that's that's why I wonder what happens with these
guys and just the conversations around them and their durability
moving forward.
Speaker 3 (12:03):
Well, it's certainly going to always be connected to the conversations, right,
I mean, you can't get away from the conversation of
concussions being a part of who they are, because it
is a part of who they are, and you have
to maintain of a watchful eye on it as a
fan because you don't know when those may happen. You
(12:26):
can't predict it, and that's just what it's going to be.
So whether they go a long period of time without
getting one or not, you're still going to be sitting
there wondering are they going to get one?
Speaker 1 (12:38):
But it's weird that we don't do that with Mason Rudolph.
And if anybody remembers Mason Rudolph, he got absolutely disintegrated
by Earl Thomas on a hit that's one of the
most violent hits you'll ever see. And he even was
quoted in this article via The Athletic that said, yeah,
I'm not really worried about it. I'm not changing my helmet.
(12:58):
I'm not you know, that's not and that's one of
the worst looking concussions that you could possibly see. And
his rationale of it was, well, I talked to my
doctors and it was just a fluke, sort of one
in a million type situations. So it's not something I've
really got to be worried about.
Speaker 3 (13:13):
But ken you should go look at people should go
look at the highlights that built football from the nineties
the late eighties. You should go look at that film.
I won't even tell you to go beat before then
back to when you know Rae al Zato and me
(13:35):
and Joe Green and all of them were playing like
I won't even tell you to go back all the
way back there. Just go to the to the late
eighties and all of the nineties and look at how
they played football, Like do you realize that that was
the mark of a dope defensive player. Look at how
(13:55):
many times Ronnie Lott, like, who's considered by by many
to be the greatest safety in the history of the game.
Speaker 1 (14:06):
You remember the Mike singles Terry's stat it was like
he broke nine helmets in college. Like that was like
a badge of honor that when he was playing at Baylor,
Mike Singletary broke like eight or nine helmets during the
course of his career. Man, if that happened now, like
how many games you suspended.
Speaker 2 (14:22):
For you know what I mean?
Speaker 3 (14:23):
And you built the league off of that violence. You
built you built the brand of the league, the popularity
of the league off of valance and and and listen
to me, I know you want to continue to make
the game safer and make the game perceivably what is
called better. And and I understand there's evolution, I understand
(14:45):
there's education, but at sometimes, at some point you got
to realize that outside of monitoring it, when when these
these kids are kids and making sure or that it's
a safe and proper environment for them as kids, there
comes a point in time where it becomes something different.
(15:09):
And there is a primitive aspect, a survival aspect that
is connected to football. That's why people love it so much.
Your modern day gladiators. That's why people love it so much.
It's one of those deals where you can watch somebody
abuse somebody physically and they're not getting thrown into a
(15:32):
car and taken off to jail. Like they're both prepared
for battle. Look at the way football players look. They're
built to be warriors. You train to be warriors. The
only ones that don't look like that more often than not,
generally speaking, are the quarterbacks because they don't have to
(15:53):
be that. That's not what their job description within the
battle is. They deliver the male. They they delivered the package.
But for the most part, everybody's geared up to to
to throw down. And and at some point I think
we lose sight of the fact now just because of
(16:14):
the way to me our culture is evolving, our culture
has become a very very soft culture. Just a bunch
of just a bunch of soft people. Well, I'm just
being honest. And you can look at the status that
I've I always go down to conversation. You can look
at the stats, look at the status of first responders
(16:35):
and and and assignment UH enrollment and signing up for
first responders. Look at how many people are are going
into basic training. Look at how many people who can
make it out military basic training. The numbers are staggering.
And and it's just, you know, there's the saying it's
(16:56):
it's and it's it's been going around for for a
while now, it's been and has been running on social media.
It's it's hard times create tough men. Tough men create
easy times. Easy times create soft men. Soft men create
hard times. That's where we're at right now. We're at
(17:18):
the soft man We're at the soft man time right now.
And and at some point you just got to take
a look at at what it is that you're really
really you know, and and a lot of people will say,
you know, medically speaking, I sound irresponsible and I sound bad,
and you could you could put that on me. I'm
okay with that. But at some point men men need
(17:42):
to be trained to be men. And especially if you
go into a realm of playing a sport that's a
full contact sport. Once you get to a certain age,
it's a full contact sport. So live with what comes
with playing that game and being part of that culture.
That's why you play it. I don't want people to
(18:04):
be able to do what I did when I played ball.
I don't want everybody to be able to do what
I was able to do. That's what makes me unique.
That's what makes me special. So when I identify somebody
else who does that or can do it the way
that I did it, or do it better than the
way that I did it, there's a level of respect
and that moration, and there's just a feeling of pride
(18:27):
that they can do it. That's what ever. I mean.
That goes for anything. If you're a painter, if you're
a musician, if you're a dentist, if you're a plastic surgeon,
if you're a Mariah Mills, and you're an adult film
starre Yeah, like any of those things, any and all
of those things matter.

Two Pros and a Cup of Joe Fox Sports Radio,
LaVar Arrington, Jonas Knox with you here coming up in
about twenty minutes from now from the tire rack dot
Com studios. We are going to have our midweek awards,
the Good, the Bad, and the ugly, So those will
be yours again twenty minutes from now here on FSR,
LeVar Arrington. One of these stories, one of the decisions
we've been waiting on, is who the hell is dalvincooking
(20:34):
a sign with. He is no longer a Minnesota Viking,
He's a four time pro bowler, seems to have some
tread on the tires, seems to be somebody who's gearing
up to play another season. And I would I think
we both agree that the Vikings got worse with the
release of Dalvincook. Whether it was because of the contract
or whatever their reasoning was. The Minnesota Vikings are going
(20:56):
in another direction. Alexander Madison's going to be the guy,
and so now Dalvincook is and for work. And according
to Tom Pella Sero of NFL Media, who spoke with
Rich Eisen, Dalvin Cook has quoted multiple offers and the
teams mentioned are the Jets, the Broncos, the Patriots, and
the Dolphins as possibilities, and Barry Jackson of the Miami
(21:19):
Herald says Miami has made an offer, has officially made
an offer to Dalvin Cook. So we've got the Dolphins,
the Pats, the Broncos, and the Jets. Where would you
like to see Dalvin Cook sign?
Speaker 3 (21:33):
The Jets? Is intriguing? Nuts intriguing? I think Miami's intriguing.
I don't think the Patriots is. I don't. I don't
find that to be intriguing to me. What were the
other names?
Speaker 2 (21:46):
And then the just the Broncos, Broncos, Patriots, Dolphins that.
Speaker 3 (21:50):
Could be interesting? The Broncos that could We all know
it could create an interesting dynamic. I don't think that
Russ would be a problem to Sean Payton, but we
all know that Russ is at his best when he
has a running back with dreadlocks behind him, you know
what I mean?
Speaker 1 (22:08):
Like that's I mean, Sam, We're gonna we're gonna take that.
It's got to be a running back with dreadlocks.
Speaker 3 (22:14):
Thank you, Yes, I believe so. At this point, I
think it's too late to go in any other direction. Now,
he did have was was Melvin Gordon there or was
he gone?
Speaker 1 (22:24):
So you you mean to tell me that if the
Denver Broncos could bring in Christian McCaffrey, they would choose
not to because Russell Wilson prefer It just.
Speaker 3 (22:34):
Might not work out the same way. I mean, it's
not that that's what he prefers, because Russ didn't prefer
to have a running back be the reason why they
had so much success. I'm just saying they had a
whole lot of success because they had best mode with
them drags behind him running the ball.
Speaker 2 (22:49):
You know, Wow, what I'm saying, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (22:54):
I was just you know, no. But on a more
serious note, I think that could be a piece to
the puzzle. I think Russell Wilson is a better quarterback
when he has a potent running game, and you put
Dalvin Cook in that backfield, you now answer that question
(23:16):
of having a running back that can carry the load.
I mean again, he has consistently been a thousand yard
rusher for his team, and when healthy, he is one
of the top backs in the league. So if you
add him to that Broncos roster, you upgrade it that offense,
(23:37):
But you've also added a piece to the puzzle that
most likely would make Russell Wilson a better quarterback. Russell
Wilson isn't going to be the quarterback that wins wins
games without a running game, which is interesting because neither
is Kirk Cousins. So why do you allow Dalvin Cook
(23:58):
to get away? I don't know. But if you add
him to the roster with with with Russ, then Cooking
might get better for for Uss and for the Broncos.
But I like the Jets. I like that as a
as a destination for him just because of the way
that roster is is is coming together. But we've seen
(24:20):
dream team rosters put together before and then fall horribly,
you know, bad on their faces. Miami seems to have
taken a step in the right direction. They just got
to be able to keep their quarterback healthy. Well, how
do you work to keep your quarterback healthy? Uh? You
hand the ball off sometimes and you get the defenses
off of pass rush mode and they slow a little bit.
(24:45):
They slow down a little bit preparing for a running
attack that can give them problems. So I think those
are the two best landing places for him and for
him to have an opportunity to win.
Speaker 2 (24:58):
Man all that's awesome. All right, let's do this instead.
Speaker 1 (25:02):
Mount rushmore running backs with dreadlocks. All right, let's get
this going here. LaVar Arrington, Uh now, now, I feel
like the first three are pretty solid and pretty I
think these are, you know, set and locked in.
Speaker 2 (25:18):
Edrin Jans, Yes, one right, James Stephen Jackson.
Speaker 3 (25:23):
Stephen Jackson, he belongs on that list.
Speaker 2 (25:26):
Okay, Derrick Henry.
Speaker 3 (25:30):
Yeah, but I mean he's new school. I mean, if
we're working like all time, I mean, you got to
put Marshawn Lynch on there.
Speaker 2 (25:37):
First, Okay, I mean, so so you're gonna go Marshawn Lynch.
I mean Ricky Williams is.
Speaker 3 (25:42):
Also there's an og on there.
Speaker 1 (25:45):
Yeah, absolutely, I mean and then we go and then
there's just not a lot after that. No, they think
about it.
Speaker 2 (25:51):
There's not looking at some of the some of the
names here.
Speaker 3 (25:56):
Let's see. Uh yeah, like Lawrence Maroney.
Speaker 2 (26:00):
Definitely a lot so not Tom Rathman. So didn't say Tom.
Let's say let's go Iowa. Sam has one that he's
not going to hit the button on. About Ben Jarvis
green ellis, Yeah, there you.
Speaker 3 (26:14):
Go, that's a good one. He's not going to hit
the button on Jonas for saying Tom Rathman in the
middle of a dreadlocks conversation.
Speaker 2 (26:21):
I'm eliminating candidates here.
Speaker 3 (26:23):
Well, I will say one year in Washington there, I
did have a white teammate that had drags and was
a fullback. And I forget his name. I hate that.
We used to call him Tarzan.
Speaker 7 (26:36):
You had.

Speaker 1 (27:08):
Late great Cedric Benson had redlocks. Yeah, not a lot
of not a lot of dreadlocks here, now that we're
looking at.
Speaker 3 (27:14):
It, barbarian, who is the barbarian?
Speaker 5 (27:17):

Speaker 3 (27:44):
Lee? What button?
Speaker 1 (27:47):
I can't ask these questions. We're trying to make decisions here.
This is a Mount Rushmore.
Speaker 2 (27:52):
If I can't bring up some options, I don't know
why I'm getting to drop for bringing up Larry Zonka.
I'm retiring this button until further notice.
Speaker 7 (28:00):
What do you mean?
Speaker 3 (28:01):
You're not allowed to retire?
Speaker 2 (28:02):
But I control the buttons now A new guy. I've
been on the show quite a bit.

Speaker 2 (28:14):
All right, it's been yeah.
Speaker 3 (28:18):
Did you say this? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (28:19):
I know.
Speaker 3 (28:19):
Can you believe that Berto in subordinations?
Speaker 2 (28:22):
So there it is. That is that is your Berto.
That is your breakdown of Mount Rushmore, of dreadlocks, running
back to dreadlocks in the NFL.
Speaker 3 (28:34):
So I feel like we really going We're probably missing
somebody and it's going to be very Alvin Kamara.
Speaker 1 (28:38):
Yes, I was just going to say, Alvin Kamara, although
you know, not exactly the best person to run into
outside an elevator according to reports, Well, don't touch his hair.
Speaker 2 (28:49):
Yeah, is that what it was? That's what it was.
Speaker 1 (28:54):
It is two pros and a cup of Joe. Here
on Fox Sports Radio's LaVar Arrington Jonas knock to the air.
So we're going to have our midweek awards coming up

not have dreads either, the one and only Eddie Garcia.
Speaker 8 (29:08):
How about former Steeler D'Angelo Williams.
Speaker 2 (29:11):
Yes, it's another good cal panther.
Speaker 8 (29:15):
I'm gonna choose to he was, but I had to
contribute something.
Speaker 1 (29:21):
Yeah that I feel like we knocked off a lot
of names though, yeah they'd yeah, definitely not uh Tom
Rathman or Larry Zonker, Christian.
Speaker 3 (29:33):
McCaffrey or any of those.
Speaker 2 (29:35):
Just yea, all the names that aren't that's true. Trying
to make it easier.
Speaker 8 (29:41):
Let's get you updated on some baseball games of note.
We had a couple of Battle of Division leaders, the
Diamonbacks knocking off the Rays eight to four. That's the
NL West leaders, knocking off the AL East leaders. Zach
Gallon earns his tenth win for Arizona against the team
with the top record in baseball. The Braves beat the
Twins six to two in a battle of division leaders,
the NL East leaders beating the ALE Central leaders. Atlanta
(30:01):
has the best record in the National League at fifty
two to twenty seven. Ronald Acuna Junior ad a couple
of homers in their latest win as they knock Minnesota
below five hundred. They're forty and forty one in their
lead in the ALE Centrals down to just a half
game on Cleveland, with the Guardians gaining ground with a
two to one win over the Royals. Cleveland gets the
win without their manager, Terry Francona I didn't manage in
(30:21):
the game, actually went to the hospital where he stayed
overnight for observation after filling il filling feeling ill. The
Reds meet the Orioles three to one. Rookie starter Andrew
Abbott brews to four and oh win six innings, allowed
one run to It's and the Reds are now back
on top in the NL Central. They beat they move
in front of the Brewers, who lost to the Mets
seven to two, so it's a half game lead for
(30:43):
Cincinnati over Milwaukee. Rangers lead the Al West. They topped
the Tigers eight three, Angels over the White Sox four
to two. Showio Tani big game for the Halos, two
home runs, leads to the major leagues with twenty eight
and he wins on the mound as well, going six
and a third allowed just one run, ten strikeouts for
his seventh to win of the year. Dodger shot up
out the Rockies five nothing. Clayton Khrushaw, getting his tenth
win of the season, took a no hitter into the
(31:04):
sixth inning. He went six innings, led no runs on
one hit. Jad Martinez a couple of home runs for
the Dodgers, and this note from College Sports. In a
memo sent to their member schools, the nc double A
told their institutions they must follow NCUBA rules when it
comes to name, image and likeness, even if they conflict
with state laws. Now back to Lamar Arrington, Jonas Knox,
(31:26):
the Tyrack dot Com, Fox Sports radio studio.
Speaker 1 (31:28):
Jamal Charles as well too. Career derailed because of injury,
but he was a fantastic.
Speaker 3 (31:33):
Running that's a good one. That's a really good one.
Speaker 2 (31:35):
Yeah, damn. He had some good years early on before
the knee injuries. He was really good. It is two
Pros and a Cup of Joe here on Fox Sports Radio.

LaVar Arrington, Jonas Knox with you here coming up top
of next hour about fifteen minutes from now from the
tire Rack dot Com studios there's some people in the NFL,
some fans that are getting screwed over by the league.
We've got the proof coming up in about fifteen minutes
from now again here on FSR. By the way, Uh,
(32:52):
LeVar Arrington, I was doing the All twenty twos.
Speaker 3 (32:55):
Why do you say my entire name?
Speaker 1 (32:56):
Well, because I wanted people to know that I'm breaking
down the film and the footage of the LeVar Arrington leap.
I saw it to make the rounds on social media earlier,
so I'm looking at it right now.
Speaker 2 (33:09):
And yeah, clearly offsides and a targeting call missed on you.
And it's interesting.
Speaker 1 (33:17):
It's just unfortunate that that's being celebrated. So that's sort
of a reckless football is being celebrated.
Speaker 3 (33:23):
Lou Buckets, Luke Luke Buckets was the guard, the nephew
of the great Dick Buckets. Yeah, and we were all
Americans coming out of high school together. He was off
side the place should have never even happened. No, he
was premature.
Speaker 2 (33:42):
Did you have any conversations with members of Illinois after
that game, Like did they come up to you and say, hey,
how'd you do that?
Speaker 3 (33:48):
I don't remember what.
Speaker 2 (33:50):
Was the points spread?
Speaker 4 (33:51):
In that game.
Speaker 2 (33:51):
I'm sure you remember that.
Speaker 3 (33:52):
I don't remember.
Speaker 2 (33:53):
You don't remember you were up twenty one nothing at
that point. I'm seeing it.
Speaker 3 (33:56):
That was their best drive they could have. They were
driving and seemingly Ron Turner had found the little rhythm
and was moving the ball downfield and that stalled their
drive out. So but it wasn't a close game, but
it could have turned into a game. They scored there.
I mean think about we were spanking Michigan too, and
(34:18):
then they turned it around and were able to come
back and beat us. You know, here's what it is.
Speaker 1 (34:24):
God seen that set up there at Happy Valley, one
hundred plus thousand people, Big ten football game, Penn State Illinois.
Didn't they give you the itch for college football? Don't
you want to back right now?
Speaker 3 (34:37):
Wait too? And I was just there and got some
amazing things going on that have developed. So my involvement,
finally I'm going to get put in the game. Shots
out to everybody that have played a part and things
progressing the way that they have. But yeah, finally going
to get an opportunity to help out and you know,
(35:00):
do some things that are creative and and fun for
you know, for the university and for for the sports programs,
so it'd be good. So yeah, I mean I love
Happy Valley, man, Love love what they represent. It's it's,
you know, the graduation, the education of it, the brotherhood
of seeing seeing everybody and seeing how the new guys,
(35:24):
you know, how they handle things. It was I really
enjoyed my time there, man, I really enjoyed this last
time being up there.
Speaker 2 (35:31):
Yeah, although you know, maybe your liver didn't enjoy it
as much.
Speaker 3 (35:36):
I'll tell you what. I've been drinking water the entire week. Yeah, detoxing. Yeah,
it's got to happen aid horribly, but it's all right whatever.
Speaker 2 (35:50):
You earned it.
Speaker 1 (35:51):
Listen, you've been you've been dieting, you've been exercising, you've
been lifting. You've still got your lifts in and your
cardio and while you're out.
Speaker 3 (35:56):
I don't diet. I just eat, but I only eat
like once a day, once or twice a day. And
it's as usually it's afternoon, it's after twelve noon, and
it's before it's before it gets to what eight o'clock. Yeah,
don't eat past eight Yep. It's good. Been doing well, man,
I've been looking pretty good. Ain't going loud. Just I
(36:20):
just posted a I posted a gains video. What yesterday?
It was pretty good on you check me out King
of the Mammals on ig of the Mammals. Yeah, it's
pretty good. I'm looking pretty pretty ripped up now I don't.
I don't have the fat belly anymore.
Speaker 2 (36:34):
Tore up like a bad report card.
Speaker 3 (36:36):
I mean, yeah, yeah, So what I'm talking about?
Speaker 9 (36:40):
All right?
Speaker 2 (36:41):
It is time now, though, for something we do every
single Wednesday, and it's called this.
Speaker 9 (36:47):
There are some good things that happen, and there's some bad,
and then there's some downright ugly things. It's time for good,
bad and lovely, all.
Speaker 2 (36:58):
Right, Brandon, So I've got the it this week.
Speaker 1 (37:00):
That is the reporting we've gotten from Lee to lap
was stuck at a train station on the East Coast.
Still yep, all right, all right, so listen. My good
for the week is a story of redemption, the story
of channeling heartbreak, and the story of turning what should
be a disheartening and rough moment in your life into
(37:22):
some positivity and being creative through the process. I think
this is how you build and grow as a person.
So let's hear my good for the week.
Speaker 10 (37:47):
Screw you Zion, you hearttaker, Lamar.
Speaker 1 (37:58):
She could have wallowed in her self pity, she could
have cried herself to sleep.
Speaker 2 (38:02):
And you know what she did.
Speaker 1 (38:03):
She got in the lab and she put together a banger,
Mariah Mills, channeling all that heartbreak into a hit with
the lyrics like I can't believe I fell in love
with the player. I want you all to myself. It
ain't fair. I gave it all to you, but it
seems like you don't care. I mean, is there a
poetry award we can just hand out now for songwriting?
(38:26):
We should just go ahead and do it. That's my
good for the week. Mariah was, all right, Brandy, you
got the bad for the week, Yes, I do.
Speaker 7 (38:35):
What is your bad for the week, Well, my bad
for the week is poorly the lab and that's that's
that's rough. I haven't to use a Domino's pizza box
as a blanket last night, showering in a you know,
a vat of hoboes.
Speaker 2 (38:48):
I mean, it's tough. It's just man. I just I
can't wait to hear the full story. I can't wait either.
Speaker 1 (38:55):
Yeah, it was it was really something. He was telling me,
some of the details, and I said, all right, old
bot of that. This saving for Thursday. Hopefully it gets
back and lead the lap will be ready.
Speaker 2 (39:05):
To tell that tale. Will smell that Thursday. I asked him.
I was like, hey, how bad do you smell? You
goes so bad? Like why don't even go he has
a change of clothes, smell that? M M all right, LeVar,
you got the ugly for the week.
Speaker 3 (39:23):
Well, I guess you know you gotta you gotta keep
it real, and you gotta stay true to yourself. And
you know, when things get get hard and things go
the wrong way and they just don't seem to feel
like they're going in the right direction, you know, you
you show your loyalties, you show your love, you show
(39:44):
your dedication, and and you hold people accountable. So here's
my ugly for the week. Take it away, Sam, Yeah, okay,
(40:07):
you can stop it right there. This is what I
this is what I don't understand. I can't believe you
fell in love with a player, but yet and you
said you gave your all to the player, and you
said you wanted them all to yourself, don't you When
(40:30):
you were singing those lyrics, did nothing not cross your
mind as to you don't give your all to him,
and well he doesn't have you all to hisself. Like
I guess you were thinking to yourself, if I got
this check, then I wouldn't have to do the adult
(40:54):
entertainment anymore, and then I could give it all. So
so are you you're I wonder if the guy didn't
have the money that he did, would she be singing that?
Would should be getting the tattoo on her face?
Speaker 2 (41:09):
Had he not gotten his first big contract, had.
Speaker 3 (41:12):
Had he not been a pro player with a ton
of money, had he just been a regular everyday hard
hat lunch pail due, would you have been singing this song?
Would you have been getting his name tattooed on your face?
Speaker 1 (41:22):
Zion should do. He should hit her up and say, hey,
I want to make this right. Here's some Pelican season
tickets and a tattoo remover.
Speaker 3 (41:29):
What do you think we all get here? There you go,
