when you were getting into the NFL, Like, if you
start a new season, you remember a specific goal outside

(01:55):
of this Super Bowl? All right, but do you have
any specific from an individual standpoint, like any specific goals individually?

Speaker 1 (02:04):
Yeah, I mean, like.

Speaker 4 (02:04):
Everyone has the goals of especially if you're you're a starter.
I'm sure guys are like saying, hey, I want to
make the Pro Bowl, I want to want to know,
I want to win the MVP or Defensive Player of
the Year, all that stuff.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
You know.

Speaker 4 (02:16):
As far as like specific statistical goals, it'd be.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
More along the lines of, hey, you'd love to lead
the league in touchdown passes or passing yards. Yeah, our sacks.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
Yeah yeah. Well, according to Dak Prescott, his goals to
not throw ten interceptions. So there's that that according to
Dak Prescott, who spoke with the four Worst Star Telegram
and had the following to say, because he did lead
the league in interceptions last year, which I don't know
if a lot of people have discussed in the.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
World, like fifteen, how many I.

Speaker 5 (02:48):
Had fifteen interceptions, which which, by the way, goes the
trend go back through the years, all right, get go
back through the the anals of history in the NFL.

Speaker 1 (02:59):
That's not that many interceptions. No, And like.

Speaker 4 (03:02):
There's a lot of guys who would throw like twenty
five in a season.

Speaker 3 (03:06):
Had thirty not that long ago.

Speaker 4 (03:08):
I mean literally you're talking about half that amount and
it led the league.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
Which is you're telling you one of two things.

Speaker 4 (03:14):
Either quarterback play has gotten much more efficient, decision.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
Making has been improved, or the other guy's just getting benched.

Speaker 4 (03:21):
Like you throw a few, and like just on the bench,
there's no chance they're gonna throw more than fifteen because
they're benched by the time they get to that number.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
Didn't Fitzpatrick throw six in a game again Kansas City.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
Yeah, most magical.

Speaker 4 (03:33):
I mean this as a quarterback, because I've thrown multiple
interceptions in a game.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
I think it's human nature not to get a little.

Speaker 4 (03:42):
Gun shy of like, man, I don't want to I
don't want to throw another one, you know, Like I've
already thrown two, you know, do I really want to
throw three?

Speaker 1 (03:50):
Or three? Do I want to throw four?

Speaker 4 (03:52):
Like you get to that point where you kind of
say to yourself, like, I'm not gonna take the risk
because we're probably down, We're not going to have a
chance to win this thing at that point, and there's
no point.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
And keep doing it. So I actually value.

Speaker 4 (04:05):
A lot of guys who are like, oh, yeah, no,
I'm just gonna keep slinging it.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
Man, I don't care I about throw four or five, six,
Like I'm gonna keep doing it. There's something through that, yeah,
b you know Brett Farr was like that too. Brett
Farr didn't care if he threw an interception because you know,
I don't think he threw six in a game though, Yeah, no,
I don't. I don't think he did six game.

Speaker 3 (04:26):
Brett fan boy, Look this up. Did Brett Farv throw
six in a gain.

Speaker 6 (04:30):
I remember him throwing five a few times.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
That's over. He's he's slinging it.

Speaker 6 (04:36):
And I'm at the list. He definitely led a few years.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
Yeah, he would throw the ball away now. But but
the thing about it was is that you knew for
everything that he would do and that in that area
of turning the ball over, he was going to get
you touchdowns too because he wasn't afraid.

Speaker 3 (04:51):
Do you think it's because he threw the ball so
hard that he thought there's no way a defender is
gonna catch this. They're not ready for this. He's just
throwing heat.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
I just think he saw his receiver and he threw it.
It's that simple. There he is, I'm throwing it.

Speaker 4 (05:06):
There's a lot of things that came out after his
career well in regards to like him just kind of
not reading defense, is just throwing it.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
I saw.

Speaker 4 (05:16):
I'm saying five as the high water mark back in
two thousand and five versus the.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
Since yes Cincinnati Bengals.

Speaker 4 (05:26):
By the way, he threw five interceptions, they only lost
by a touchdown.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
That's pretty remarkable, I'm telling you, because he don't he
didn't care well on our touchdown pass though our scout
report is he will throw you, you're going to have
a good deal, Like, okay.

Speaker 4 (05:42):
So the other time that year in five, he threw
four in the Chicago Bears game again only lost by a.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
Touchdown, and that was a dope team back then, right,
but he didn't throw any touchdown passes.

Speaker 4 (05:53):
Like, as a defense, there has to be a point
where you're like, come on, dude, like, I know you
want to get the ball back to you, but this
isn't working out very well.

Speaker 6 (06:01):
He did have six against the Rams in a playoff
game in two.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
I remember playoff game. Do you remember this or you're
looking it up?

Speaker 6 (06:08):
I remembered it and I looked it up, and.

Speaker 3 (06:11):
I blame the receiver. They ran the wrong round.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
And that game they got absolutely bush whacked. Was that
the greatest show on turf? Was that the Final Stages?
Two nut? I wasn't the Final Stages too. They were
still the greatest show on turf. They had just well
maybe maybe you're right. Now you're right. It was the
end because because the Patriots start taking over. Yeah, what

(06:36):
in two thousand and one, two thousand and one, so
ninety nine two thousand would have been the Rams right.

Speaker 3 (06:43):
And then two thousand and one, that three year stretch,
they were pretty dominant.

Speaker 1 (06:46):
I guess you're right, Yeah, serve it up a little bit.
Brett fav was serve it though. I'm telling you, man,
that's what they say, like he's going to throw you
the ball. But the bottom line is is that for
every time he throws you the ball, you got to
understand that you can't relax because he'll make you pay.
Just like he'll give you one, he'll make you pay.

(07:06):
So that was like kind of the book on on Brett,
like he will give you the ball if you were
you're supposed to because he's going to give you some
fifty to fifty balls.

Speaker 4 (07:13):
Which it's funny though, looking through all those the games
he threw like three or more interceptions. He didn't throw
a lot of touchdown passes like what he threw two
touchdown passes. The six interception game in the playoffs, like
the ones I went through was like one touchdown pass,
five interceptions or zero and four, Like it was just
happened to be one of those days where just wasn't
a good.

Speaker 1 (07:32):
Deal waves and he ain't, but he's not stopping, no,
he's That was the thing you had to mind about
Brett Fass. He ain't stopping. I'm like, oh, I threw it,
Like okay, I threw an interception, Like we're going to
run the ball now, Like nope, they still going. He's slanging,
slanging that thing, slanging that lang in that thing. Can't
keep in content.

Speaker 3 (07:52):
No, no, definitely not.

Speaker 1 (07:54):
Nope, nope, nope.

Speaker 3 (07:55):
Okay, Well there you go, or your hard hat and
your crocs to work and play.

Speaker 1 (07:59):
Yeah, n file about wearing crocs comfy? Does everybody yet
you're stupid? I just caught it. I just caught that one.
Oh yeah, oh wow.

Speaker 3 (08:10):
Sure, wow, yes.

Speaker 1 (08:17):
Kid.

Speaker 7 (08:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (08:20):
Can I read you this quote from Dak Prescott and
you tell me if you believe this is him taking
a shot at Kellen Moore, because Kellen Moore, there's been
a couple of I don't want to say direct shots,
but at least indirect shots, some strays that Kellen Moore
has caught from Mike McCarthy and also feels like, you know,
cowboy fans this offseason and now Kellen Moore is in

(08:41):
La as the OC for the Chargers. But Dak Prescott
was talking about the turnovers last year and then he
went on to say, I know who I am, and
you can go back and take away half of those
off drops. I'm not saying it's on the receiver, but
if you cut it, cut it in half, then we
are talking about those Nobody is talking about it. Some
of it is on the offense and them understanding where

(09:02):
we are. Mike McCarthy does an amazing job with those guys.
They know where to be, why to be, why they're
getting looked at. That's going to be a big jump.
I won't to have ten interceptions this year. Kind of
feels like he's saying, at least Mike McCarthy can have
everybody in the right place at the right time, and
maybe that was an issue they had over the past coup.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
So he couldn't have inserted himself to help out that way.
Put four now he needs help.

Speaker 3 (09:28):
I mean, are you talking about Dak Prescott or Mike McCarthy.

Speaker 1 (09:32):
I'm saying Mike McCarthy said. Mike McCarthy did those things.
He's doing those things now. I mean, he didn't change positions.
He's still the head coach, so he couldn't have inserted
himself into the scenario, into the meetings like saying Andy
Reid and helped with all of those things that he
said Mike McCarthy is doing now.

Speaker 3 (09:52):
It feels like the way Mike McCarthy has talked this
offseason almost like Kellen Moore was forced on him, Like
Kellen Moore would needed to be a part of the.

Speaker 1 (10:02):
Stat But even if he was forced on to him,
I mean, and I didn't play offense and pro so
I'll defer to Qus, But I mean I would assume
that the things that you're doing for your team to
be successful now as the head coach in the OC,
why wouldn't you do those things even if he was

(10:23):
forced on you? Like what are you not giving him
your secrets? Or is it more important for you because
you don't trust him and he was forced on you
to just let him fail? I mean, was he willing
to risk that? I mean, is that what that is?
Because otherwise wouldn't you just be the coach that you
are teach the things that you teach, how you teach them,
you're the head coach. That was a lot there.

Speaker 4 (10:45):
I'm not really sure if he was like thrown on
him or not when he took the job, but I think.

Speaker 1 (10:51):
Kellen Moore had done a good enough job statistically.

Speaker 4 (10:53):
I mean, if you go back, so Mike McCarthy gets
hired after the Dak Prescott injury that year, right, he
was on a ridiculous pace though those first was at
three games, four games, whatever it was before Dak Prescott
got hurt, and and I think at that point you're
looking at it saying, all right, well do you pair
these two together like they're gonna be pretty prolific and

(11:15):
this is what you're hoping for out of your quarterbacks.

Speaker 1 (11:17):
So you know, maybe there's some of.

Speaker 4 (11:20):
That that, Hey, Mike McCarthy had to inherit Kellen Moore,
and Kellen had to run things the way he wanted
to run them until you know, it didn't work, or
they agreed to go their separate ways, which maybe is.

Speaker 1 (11:30):
Where we're at now.

Speaker 4 (11:31):
But I mean, no matter how you look at it
offensively speaking, statistically, everyone's going to point back to the
fact that they were a pretty explosive offense, Like no
one can deny that.

Speaker 1 (11:42):
For for Kellen Moore, but this is so that's an excuse.
So he gave an excuse, then.

Speaker 3 (11:49):
Well, both those guys have got to be feeling the
pressure this year. I would say, I would say Mike
McCarthy and Dak Prescott, like it feels like this is
feels like the you know, if you're not getting it
done this year, when is this going to happen? And
now you've got Kellen Moore who's gone, he's in LA
with the Chargers, as we mentioned, and so now it's
all on Mike McCarthy and he's got full control of

(12:11):
everything and of the offense. And now Dak Prescott feels
more comfortable with him, and they've got a ton of talent.
I think they're a playoff team. Whether they're good enough
to compete, you know, legitimately with Philly to win that division,
who knows. But it just feels like both those guys
may be feeling the pressure a little bit in Dallas.
And yeah, no, Zeke.

Speaker 1 (12:32):
Can't feeling the pressure of Dallas.

Speaker 3 (12:34):
No, he's good hanging out. Do you think he's in
Cabo by the way, or is that just that one
off season. Mango Deck, Mango Deck, Mango Deck. It's the
name of the it's the name of the place, and
Cabo Mango Deck. I'd ever been there, LeVar said. It
was pretty cool.

Speaker 1 (12:52):
I'm don't recall why are you throwing the far into.

Speaker 3 (12:55):
The No, I'm just saying he said it was pretty cool.
He said they had great food.

Speaker 1 (12:58):
See how you just snitched on me?

Speaker 3 (13:00):
You mean there's no snitching. You can't talk about a menu.
You you said that, remember food?

Speaker 1 (13:04):
Don't remember? I just heard about it. It was like
an urban legend. Oh, Mango Deck.

Speaker 3 (13:11):
Yeah, Oh, I hear you. There you go, Cheerry, Be
careful you say that too on the air. You dumped.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
Oh really? Yeah? What did I say?

Speaker 3 (13:20):
Well, just to be saying in a hurry, you know,
you could say the wrong thing. Then we get in trouble.

Speaker 1 (13:24):
Wait, say what in hurry? Yeah? Say what?

Speaker 3 (13:26):
Mango Deck?

Speaker 1 (13:31):
Say it and hurry.

Speaker 3 (13:31):
I don't want to. It's Two Pros and a Couple
of Joe. Fox Sports Radio, LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonah

Speaker 1 (14:05):
Oh, here go Brady's song come On Cue. That was
your That was your cue to come in.

Speaker 3 (14:13):
Yeah, come on man. This is played in every weight
room in the Dublin, Columbus area. Yah. Man, that's what
they play.

Speaker 1 (14:26):
Man.

Speaker 3 (14:30):
You can't do shoulder shrugs and not listen to this
song if you're from Dublin, Ohio, and I.

Speaker 1 (14:35):
Don't know why you have to keep perpetuating this line.
What are you talking of?

Speaker 4 (14:39):
Any idea about any weight room anywhere in the entire
state of.

Speaker 3 (14:44):
Are you trying to tell me? I don't know what
it's like throwing around iron in the six one four?
Is that what you're trying to tell me that.

Speaker 1 (14:50):
I'm actually including the entire state of Ohio.

Speaker 3 (14:53):
That is an outrageous something. It is two pros and
a but Joe. Here on Fox Sports Radio, LeVar Arrington,
Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox of the air, We're gonna have
another edition of would you rather coming up here a
little over twenty minutes from now here from the Tire
Rack speaking of a return of the rack Tire Rack
dot Com Studios. All right, so let's uh, that's kind

(15:18):
of weird, all right, So let's uh, let's have a
discussion here because I don't know if you guys have noticed,
but there's like a smell in the air, you know.
It smells like smells like college football is close to return,
smells like it's almost here. Can you get it? Get
a whiff, Just get a whiff.

Speaker 8 (15:38):
I mean, we've got sec media days, what you've started up?

Speaker 1 (15:42):
Oh yeah, we've even.

Speaker 8 (15:44):
Got former Notre Dame coaches like Brian Kelly who was
speaking with Sirius XM recently and talked about just you
know the differences between coaching at Notre Dame and now
coaching at LSU.

Speaker 3 (16:03):
So let's take a listen.

Speaker 7 (16:04):
Well, I don't think you have to wear a tie
every day and the job, if you know what I mean,
it's a little bit more relaxed from that perspective. And
that's not good or bad, but there's a much more
relaxed because you're in the South. You're around people that
are very easy to get along with, and not that
they were hard to get along with, but there are

(16:24):
rules that you have to follow in an environment like
Notre Dame, and you can't cross those lines and so
there's a little bit of a difference there. I would
say the biggest one, other than that small narrative that
I gave you, is that I have to be on
a plane and I had to pull the best player
out of California, out of Texas, out.

Speaker 1 (16:43):
Of New Jersey. I don't have to do that at LSU.

Speaker 7 (16:46):
The best player in the state of Louisiana, if we
do a really good job recruiting him, he wants to
be a Tiger. And that's a difference that I think,
more than anything else, allows you to really focus on
what important within your program, and that is, you know,
state of Louisiana and player development.

Speaker 3 (17:05):
They you know, likes to keep it close. You know
that doesn't want to have to drive into the office.
Apparently you know still on that, on that like that
COVID work ethic.

Speaker 1 (17:15):
What is that he was talking about? Notre dame? What
is it that? What lines you cannot cross? What is
he I think he's just referred to the fact maybe
you can't cheat.

Speaker 4 (17:24):
I mean, I'm not exactly sure, which I guess that's
what he must be alluding to. Because the odd thing
too about the tie comment, like have you guys ever
seen Marcus Freeman since he's taken over, Like outside of
his introductory press conference, which I'm.

Speaker 1 (17:41):
Not even sure yet. I think he had on a
tide that day. I'm not I'm not quite sure, but
I'm just trying to think back.

Speaker 4 (17:47):
Like, it's not like I even remember Brian Kelly wearing
a tie much outside of maybe at his own charity
events or certain things.

Speaker 3 (17:54):
Well, Charlie Wiss is a big tie guy back in
the Yeah.

Speaker 1 (17:56):
Yeah, they're all all big tie guys. Now.

Speaker 4 (18:01):
Look, I mean, I think there's there's a there's a
rigorous academic you know, schedule, and then you got to
make sure that the student athletes is able to handle
that and make it through academically.

Speaker 1 (18:12):
You know.

Speaker 4 (18:13):
That's just it's what it is there, you know, And
they're not going to bend to allow guys who aren't
going to make it through or be able to get
their degree in Like, that's just the reality of the situation.

Speaker 1 (18:25):
And that's not a bad thing.

Speaker 4 (18:26):
I think it's a bad thing if you don't like
working hard, you know, I think it's a it's a
bad thing if you if you don't like having to
try to go around the country and get the best
players in the country because because look, there's some truth
to the fact that if you're playing for you know,
for example, I don't care if it's Louisiana State, Ohio state,
you know, any school like that, if if they can,

(18:48):
they'd like to get the best players in their state,
you know, Notre Dame would love to get.

Speaker 1 (18:51):
The best players in Chicago, best players in Indiana.

Speaker 4 (18:55):
But because it's a Catholic institution, it's it's got a
lot wider net in that so you can kind of
have more of a melting pot of players, which I
personally thought was always really cool. I don't think it
was something that set in on back. I think it's
just kind of what makes it unique. And look, there's
a lot of schools now that recruit nationally, even though

(19:16):
they're in LSU and OSU or whoever you want to
thrown into the conversation. They might not try to base
the bulk of their roster you know, you know, nationally.

Speaker 1 (19:26):
Because that's hard to do.

Speaker 4 (19:29):
But again, it's not uncommon for LSU to have kids
from Texas, for LSU to have kids from California.

Speaker 1 (19:36):
I'll put it this way.

Speaker 4 (19:37):
Their starting quarterback Jaden Daniels's from California. Now, he didn't
obviously end up there, he transferred in from Arizona State.
But you know, the reality is, you know, you're gonna
have to recruit nationally if you want to be able
to compete versus the best. You don't think Georgia's taking
kids that aren't from the state of Georgia. Now they
also take a lot of the best kids from Georgia,

(19:59):
but they're gonna cruit nationally. That's just how it is.
So it's a little odd to me that the discussion
still continues. You know, I think Notre Dame's fine moving
on and look, Brian Kelly won the SEC West last year.
They're putting themselves in a position where they should be
the favorite to win it this year if you look

(20:20):
at the roster and what they have coming back and
what they're building. So it's a little odd that, you know,
they keep going back to wanting to compare in different things.
And I never feel like Brian Kelly when he says
something publicly like that, he ever comes off good. It's
odd to me the statements that he makes publicly, it

(20:40):
never comes off where.

Speaker 1 (20:41):
It's shining like a better light. On him.

Speaker 4 (20:43):
I mean, maybe I'm wrong in that assessment because people
think I'm biased because I'm a Notre Dame alum. But
tell me a time where he's done something public or
you've been like, oh, yeah, he came off great there.

Speaker 3 (20:53):
He's a salesman, and if roles were reversed and he
had just gotten a Notre Dame from LSU, yeah, I
love the buttoned up approach we have here. Our priorities
are in line, unlike some of these other places and
places I've been at before, et cetera, et cetera. He's
a salesman. This is what he does, like changing his
accent last.

Speaker 1 (21:11):
I just wonder if he would come up into Notre
Dame and be like, may I'm off family, don't winning yet? Yeah,
Wallie and finish I need more WANs.

Speaker 3 (21:21):
By the way, I think he kind of reverted back
to that Cajun accent if you listen back to it
when he says tigers, he doesn't say tigers is tigers.
I think he reverts back to it. Can we listen
to the Brian Kelly one more time? You just listened
to the Cajun accent? Pop back up for the salesman
Brian Kelly.

Speaker 7 (21:37):
Well, I don't think you have to wear a tie
every day and the job, if you know what I mean,
it's a little bit more relaxed in that perspective. And
that's not good or bad, but there's a much more
relaxed because you're you're in the South. You're around people
that are very easy to get along with there, and
not that they were hard to get along with, but.

Speaker 1 (21:57):
There are rules that you have to follow in.

Speaker 7 (22:00):
An environment like Notre Dame and you can't cross those lines,
and so there's a little bit of a difference there.
I would say the biggest one, other than that small
narrative that I gave you, is that I have to
be on a plane and I had to pull the
best player out of California, out of Texas, out of
New Jersey. I don't have to do that at LSU.
The best player in the state of Louisiana. If we

(22:22):
do a really good job recruiting him, he wants to
be a Tiger, and that.

Speaker 1 (22:29):
I think, I think you're onto something there. The good
job recruiting him. He wants to be a tiger.

Speaker 3 (22:34):
A tiger just an ultimate salesman. By the way, what
are those planes like that. He has to take it
Notre Dame. Are they like, oh, you mean the private planes?

Speaker 1 (22:43):
You mean like the private planes?

Speaker 3 (22:45):
Like like Lee having to sleep outside a train station
so he can shower with bums when he's on his
trip to the back in.

Speaker 2 (22:52):
The back East.

Speaker 3 (22:53):
Hey, you missed that, Brady, Uh Lee Lee to lap
was bit by rats sleeping out it.

Speaker 1 (23:00):
Was bird bathing at Grand Central station.

Speaker 3 (23:04):
That's what Brian Kelly has to do, apparently Notre Dame.
When he's got to go recruit, God forbid, he hops
on a private plate. It has to go recruit recruit
players to Notre Dame. Yeah, Like, dude, why were you
there so long? Why did you take the job? Why'd
you leave Cincinnati.

Speaker 4 (23:17):
The irony, too, is if you go back and look
at last year's class that he signed, all right, three
of the top four ranked players outside of the state
of Louisiana, Maryland, Texas in Miami, Florida.

Speaker 1 (23:30):
Yeah, they brought in will Mack right from from St. Francis.
That's right, he did. Yeah, Deshaun Woomeck. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (23:38):
But it's just there's this zero truth to a lot
of what gets spout it out there, and that's the
unfortunate part because because I think if you look at
Brian Kelly, like right now, if you were to say,
unless he wins a national championship at.

Speaker 1 (23:49):
LSU, where's his legacy.

Speaker 4 (23:53):
Yeah, his legacy is probably still cemented as having the
most wins as a Notre Dame head coach of all time. Yeah,
I mean that that's what you can remember him for.
So look, he got a great payday to go to
l s U. He thinks, so I have a better
chance of winning a national championship and he doesn't have
to recruit is hard.

Speaker 1 (24:12):
So there you go.

Speaker 4 (24:13):
I mean, you hope it works out for him, right,
but there just doesn't need to be any more conversation.
I think both sides are kind of moving on in
their own direction.

Speaker 1 (24:24):
So it's a little oddie he keeps going back to that.

Speaker 4 (24:26):
But I do think it's funny when you play the
initial part about the well, I.

Speaker 9 (24:31):
Do declare, you know, up up above the north of
the Mason Dixon line, they were ties up there all
the time, them Yankees, the northerns, you know, they were
tis every time. They don't eat no by the way,
like that, I do declare up north ties around.

Speaker 1 (24:50):
They do not do that for me at that South
Bend school I need.

Speaker 3 (24:59):
By the way, isn't he wearing a tie at SEC
media days?

Speaker 1 (25:04):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (25:05):
I'm almost positive he was wearing a tie at days.

Speaker 1 (25:12):
You know who wasn't wearing a tie at their media day?
Marcus Freeman? Yeah, because I know you don't have to
go to them. You don't have to go to the
media today. Yeah, we don't get Yeah, you skip all that.

Speaker 3 (25:20):
Yeah, we skip all those media days. By the way,
how many what media days they got you going to
this year? Didn't you go to like, uh, like Package Bill, the.

Speaker 4 (25:28):
Pack twelve, a bit the Big ten? Already went to
the Big twelve. Yeah, we're making the rounds man.

Speaker 1 (25:33):
That's fun. By the way, not a lot of ties
being worn predominantly around the country at these.

Speaker 3 (25:38):
Fast approaching I got another Heisman Trophy winner on the
on the set this year.

Speaker 1 (25:44):
Oh yeah, mark Ingram. He's gonna be awesome man.

Speaker 4 (25:48):
Yeah, he's a ton of ton of fun to be
around and talk to.

Speaker 1 (25:51):
And we've already we've already got the chance to hang
a little bit. So uh, it'll be fun. It'll be
a fun season.

Speaker 3 (25:56):
Now, do you do you know the full schedule or
how how many you just know the first two weeks
right for big news because it's.

Speaker 4 (26:03):
Yeah, yeah, so for people out there, you don't know
when when you when you're a part of like even
a game crew, right, the people who are calling the games,
or when you're doing like what we do as a
studio show that travels. You basically have a few set
games you know you're going to be at, but outside
of that, you find out like twelve days before or
six days before.

Speaker 1 (26:23):
So it's it's.

Speaker 4 (26:24):
Pretty crazy to think about how the entire production behind
how like a traveling set and a bunch of you know,
people who are behind the scenes, how they have to
adjust like week to week. It's it's crazy, and so
there's a lot of work that goes on that a
lot of people don't think about.

Speaker 1 (26:39):
You just kind of see the game and everything on TV.

Speaker 3 (26:41):
Get back out the Happy Valley.

Speaker 1 (26:43):
Matt Lioner said, no, no, hey, we're going to be there.

Speaker 4 (26:45):
Yes, we'll for sure be there for a big, big game,
the big big game.

Speaker 1 (26:51):
You should go, Jonas, we should go all go this one.
I am already putting that in the works, already put
it there. Yeah, long Alley, Yeah, you gotta work, But
well do it, baby.

Speaker 4 (27:10):
Already already had a gentleman's lunch with LeVar last time,
and that yeah, I had it down so far.

Speaker 1 (27:17):
I got a production meeting, I s is all right.

Speaker 4 (27:19):
I don't another round please, It's a fantastic gentleman's lunch.

Speaker 3 (27:23):
But yeah, well listen, despite what you know Brian Kelly
say about Notre Dame, we love South Bend. By the way,
you know what else is located in South Bend?

Speaker 1 (27:33):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (27:33):

Speaker 1 (29:00):
Oh okay, yeah, all right, let's be.

Speaker 10 (29:03):
News from the NFL. The deadline for franchise tag players
to get those multi year extensions came and went on Monday,
and not surprisingly, those star running backs Tony Pollard or
the Cowboys Toakwon Barkley, the Giants Josh Jacob the Raiders.
None of them got the extensions that they were looking for.
Paular did sign his franchise tag I'll make ten point
one million this season, and he will report the training camp. However,
Barkley and Jacobs have not signed and can't report until

(29:26):
they do. It's probably to be expected that they won't
do that, at least until very close to the start
of the regular season, but we shall see. Now back
to LaVar, Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knoxthtyrack dot Com, Fox
Sports Radio Studios.

Speaker 1 (31:33):
Would you.

Speaker 2 (31:36):
Would you rather your random topics, sports or otherwise?

Speaker 3 (31:41):
All right, lead to Lap? What do we got?

Speaker 6 (31:42):
Well, guys, we started with a running back talk today,
so let's start.

Speaker 1 (31:45):
It with it. Now.

Speaker 6 (31:46):
Would who would you rather see hold out the season?
Barkley or Jacobs?

Speaker 1 (31:51):
Who would you rather see hold out? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (31:54):
Yeah, Barkley park Why? Just because I want to see
how Daniel Jones performs without Saquon Barkley. There's kind of
a safety blank, you know, Like I just I want
to see how that goes.

Speaker 1 (32:10):
I don't mind that perspective. I think that's that's that's
a good way of looking at it. I guess I.

Speaker 4 (32:15):
Would rather watch Saquon play than Josh Jacobs.

Speaker 1 (32:20):
And it's no disrespect to Josh Jacobs. I just like
Sakwon does a little bit more in the passing game,
and I don't know, I think kind of has some
a little more flair to his game.

Speaker 4 (32:30):
So I guess from an excitement standpoint, I'd rather see
Barkley playing than than Jacobs, just for our arden.

Speaker 1 (32:37):
I'm a Penn Stater, so I'd rather see Saquon play
we are there. You go, Yeah, you kind of say
to cornerly, but that's kind of something nobody. Nobody would
respond to you if you were in state commedy.

Speaker 3 (32:50):
How much not like that.

Speaker 1 (32:54):
I'd rather see the Penn stater play.

Speaker 3 (32:57):
Damn.

Speaker 1 (32:58):
Yeah On, You'll have to get LeVar Islands before you
understand how you should say we are You know, I
did the demonstration with q before.

Speaker 4 (33:07):
By the way, that is true. There was a big difference.
There was in real time a big difference. Yeah, there's
a big difference.

Speaker 3 (33:14):
LaVar also said that he was just recently in state
college and he didn't go to two ten.

Speaker 1 (33:18):
I didn't go to two ten. Wow, I did not
make it in. But I did have a long island
LeVar Island wherever I was. Though. Okay, there's there's a
drink called LeVar Island at at at a restaurant in
Harrisburg now called Zimbie's. Really, so if you ever go
there and it's like one of the last places you

(33:39):
can smoke cigarettes.

Speaker 3 (33:41):
While you're what you can't now, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (33:45):
Real, it's for real in there. Yeah, shouts out to
my people at Zimb's. Zimbi.

Speaker 6 (33:51):
Yeah, fellas, would you rather see the Commander's sale go
through or fall apart?

Speaker 3 (33:56):
Fall apart?

Speaker 1 (33:58):
It would be way more entertaining for the fall apart.
But as a former player, I for damn sure wanted
to go through.

Speaker 3 (34:07):
It's just taken so long, man, I mean, he.

Speaker 1 (34:10):
Is not going to let up on them day. Look,
you will not come after me if I sell this team.
That's got to be it. I'm ready to move on. Yeah,
me too, I just wanted to sell the team.

Speaker 4 (34:22):
Let's let's move forward with Let's let's see what Washington
can be.

Speaker 1 (34:26):
I think there could be a sneaky good team this
year too, So we'll.

Speaker 3 (34:30):
See, fellows.

Speaker 6 (34:31):
Would you rather see Oppenheimer this weekend?

Speaker 1 (34:33):
Or Barbie Oppenheimer? Simon close?

Speaker 3 (34:36):
What is Oppenheimer about?

Speaker 1 (34:38):
Are you serious?

Speaker 3 (34:39):
Yeah? I really don't know.

Speaker 6 (34:41):
It's about the creation of the atomic.

Speaker 1 (34:42):
Boler Yeah, and what's the other one?

Speaker 3 (34:47):
Barbie yeah, is it going to be about you leave
it alone? It was that in My Little Pony, all right,
you leave me alone?

Speaker 1 (34:58):
That's sorry?

Speaker 3 (34:59):
So so, but is Oppenheimer? Is it mostly about the
creator or like the bomb itself?

Speaker 1 (35:08):
But well, we don't know where you're seeing.

Speaker 3 (35:10):
But I'm saying like, is it is it around the
person or is it around the event?

Speaker 6 (35:15):
It looks like both the event of creating it, but
it's obviously about Oppenheimer himself.

Speaker 3 (35:20):
Yeah, I think I'm gonna go with Barbie. Yeah, I
think I'll just ride.

Speaker 1 (35:24):
Is Barbie like they spent crazy amount, crazy amount of
money to market and promote it, right? Is this like
a real Barbie like? Or is this like animated? No,
it's real people. Ryan Gosling is like, can right, I'm

(35:45):
a watch I'd rather be blown up. I gotta be
honest with you.

Speaker 4 (35:48):
That'd be the toughest part about being an actor is
I feel like in order to be respected within the industry,
you have to play this like.

Speaker 1 (35:56):
Wide array of characters where.

Speaker 4 (36:00):
You can be like one thing in one show and
maybe it's like a war movie, and then the next
thing you know, you're Ken and Barbie.

Speaker 2 (36:07):
Not a range.

Speaker 1 (36:08):
Yeah, I don't.

Speaker 4 (36:09):
I would not be able to subscribe to that. I'd
be like, I don't care if you feel like I'm
a one trick pony. I would much rather be type
casted into a certain role then feel the need to
have to play these like stupid other roles that have
I don't know, nothing to do with what I'd like
to be doing as an actor.

Speaker 1 (36:29):
Ryan Gosling was the Notebook, right.

Speaker 3 (36:31):
I think Ryan Gosling is happy to be playing Ken.

Speaker 1 (36:34):
I think it's that's what I'm saying. He did the
Notebook well, saying that because he's working with Margot Robbie.
Is that what you're saying.

Speaker 6 (36:40):
I think you're thinking this movie is going to be
like a kid's film, but it's.

Speaker 1 (36:44):
Going to be like The Notebook, It's going to be
like a love story.

Speaker 4 (36:47):
I think the fact that you're going to see this movie,
and the fact that I will never see this movie,
that's probably why you're trying to defend whatever Ten's character
is gonna be.

Speaker 1 (36:57):
I agree that what happened here?

Speaker 3 (37:00):
Do you have a vested interest in uh in the
performance of Ken?

Speaker 6 (37:04):
I am I'm a man of Ryan Gosling, and I
am a fan of Greta Gerwig, and I think her
depiction of this movie is gonna be pretty good.

Speaker 1 (37:13):
Thirteen.

Speaker 6 (37:15):
She's the director.

Speaker 1 (37:16):
I mean it's PJ. So he just went and.

Speaker 6 (37:22):
You went Indie film on right?

Speaker 4 (37:24):
Ryan?

Speaker 3 (37:25):
Look Ryan Gosling, I mean, ay Lee, why don't you
ask the would you rather?

Speaker 1 (37:31):
In real life? Pretended he delivered you pizza?

Speaker 3 (37:39):
Even Mendez or Margot Robbie.

Speaker 1 (37:42):
I don't want that's a better would you rather? Though?

Speaker 3 (37:45):
I I yeah, I'll go even Mendez?

Speaker 1 (37:47):
Wait? Who delivered who pizza?

Speaker 6 (37:51):
Eva delivered me pizza? I was a pizza delivery guy,
but I never delivered pizza to her.

Speaker 3 (37:56):
How did that happen?

Speaker 6 (37:58):
What she Well, she was at a neighbor's house and
she they had leftover pizza. She brought it over to
my place, said, you guys want this leftover pizza? I said, hell, yeah?

Speaker 3 (38:09):
Did you ever eat the pizza?

Speaker 1 (38:10):
No?

Speaker 6 (38:10):
I kept it in the freezer.

Speaker 3 (38:11):
Did you really? Yep?

Speaker 1 (38:13):
Margot Robbie, I ain't playing around, though, truth is I
probably went around that wouldn't like that's an easy one.
Do you know it was Avea Mendez at the time.

Speaker 6 (38:25):
Yeah, I wouldn't accept leftover pizza from a neighbor. But
I mean, if ave Amendez gives you leftover pizza, you
take the leftover.

Speaker 1 (38:31):
Pizza and you and you like a keepsick a weird.

Speaker 3 (38:36):
Yeah, you were joking when you first said that it pizza.

Speaker 6 (38:41):
No, I don't still have it. Wait, maybe I do.

Speaker 3 (38:44):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (38:44):
You never you know, when you look into the freezer,
you're like, wow, that's still there.

Speaker 1 (38:47):
Oh man, this is creepy.

Speaker 4 (38:49):
I feel like this is turning into like a movie
at this point, not one directed by Greta gerw Lee's
creepy mind is what it's called.

Speaker 3 (38:56):
He's like a better looking Jeffrey Dahmer. Sounds like just
got weird stuff.

Speaker 1 (39:01):
They're always but why are serial killers like always good
looking dudes? Like they're like you ever seen well, I
guess not great looking. Manson wasn't great looking either. If
there was a.

Speaker 4 (39:13):
Ditch to drive into, I would have drip there about
two minutes ago.

Speaker 1 (39:17):
I think I think you're right. Thanks, Honestly, I actually
think you're right.

Speaker 6 (39:25):
Guys, would you rather be able to use only a
fork or only a spoon.

Speaker 4 (39:30):
Fork rather a spoon spoon because you can't. It's it's
hard eat ice.

Speaker 1 (39:35):
I can't use my I use my fingers for for
you know. Fork food Spoon is definitely the way to go.

Speaker 3 (39:44):
Yeah, you gotta go spoon spoon it.

Speaker 1 (39:47):
Gotta spoon It's doing the option there is there spoon it.
