how about those Cleveland Browns? Huh getting it done? You know,

(01:26):
just continuing on one of the more underreported dominant starts
to a career for anybody who has been the dominant
start for the Cleveland Browns against Joe Burrow for his career.
Joe Burrow now one in five against the Cleveland Browns
in his career.

Speaker 4 (01:45):
In two they went into Cincinnati. U.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
No, well, it was it any my bet, my.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
Bet, my bet, my bet. Here's the thing. That defense
was they? I mean they were stifling. Man, I don't
know if it was. I just I asked myself, was
it that their defense was that good? Or was it
was it an off day for the Bengals. I mean
they seem like they It made me rethink the AFC North.

(02:16):
I'll say that along with what happened in Pittsburgh, you know,
or with Pittsburgh, I'll say it made me start to
rethink the North as to what could possibly happen is
if they could be that dominant against Cincinnati and Deshaun Watson.
You know, he looked alright, like he looked confident, he

(02:37):
looked he looked relaxed, he looked he looked happy. I
was just it just it's just little things that make
you laugh when you know that always make you think
when you reference him certain words anyway, But on a serious,
more serious note, it looked like Cleveland had balance. You know,

(03:00):
they had balance in the run game, they had balance
in the passing game. They had balance on defense. I
mean they were harassing. They were harassing Joe Burrow. I mean,
not one hit that they had on him.

Speaker 4 (03:14):
Bro.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
That looked like out of a like an Oliver Stone
or what is it. Oliver Stone, the dude that that
you know directed Any Given Sunday and and and other show.

Speaker 4 (03:24):
I think he did the program.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
Did Oliver Stone do Any Given Sunday?

Speaker 4 (03:29):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
Is here the director of Any Given?

Speaker 4 (03:31):
Could be wrong?

Speaker 2 (03:32):
I could be wrong, Leah. You are a Hollywood insider.
Oliver Stone directed Any Given Sunday? Yeah? Yeah, oh I
got it right, all right.

Speaker 4 (03:42):
Okay, So there you go.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
Like the type of hits you see in his movies,
what's playing out in.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
That game where the eyeball was on the field, You remember, I.

Speaker 4 (03:53):
Mean, am I lying?

Speaker 1 (03:55):
Like the way you got to hit it was like
how does a human body hit another human body and
the body does that?

Speaker 2 (04:01):
It's like, dang, like I hit.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
Dudes really hard. I never saw somebody's body do with that.
That one play where Joe Burrow got hit. What his
body did it almost looked like you wanted to see
a flag because you almost just felt like that's when
I see a flag.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
So the numbers on Joe Burrow fourteen to thirty one,
eighty two yards, no touchdowns, no picks, just an awful,
awful day. Now everybody's going to say, well, he was
benched later in that game, dude, the game was over
and it's at that point he's coming off a calf injury.
It did appear that there was at least a little
bit of rust going on there. But also Cleveland kind

(04:39):
of owns him. This has been the story of his
career thus far. Against the grounds just is what it is.
But Joe Burrow afterwards trying to calm everybody down, tell
everybody to just relax a little bit.

Speaker 5 (04:51):
In Cincinnati, it's one week obviously not up to our standard,
not up to my standard. But yeah, sixteen more of them,
so it's gonna keep chucking. You know, stuff like this happens.
We've been here before. We're gonna come back stronger. We're
gonna have a good week of practice, get better this week,
come back next Sunday, hopefully.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
Get a win.

Speaker 5 (05:10):
Nobody's nobody's panicking here, guys. It's one week. One doesn't
define anybody's season. Obviously not very good out there, but
anybody that watched saw that. Uh, but we've been in
this spot before. We've come back stronger and had great years.
So that's what we're gonna do.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
All right, Wow, you do whatever you want to do.

Speaker 4 (05:32):
More next week?

Speaker 2 (05:32):
Yeah you got You got the Ravens next week. And
obviously's Eddie Garcia mentioned JK. Dobbins the achilles issue. So Baltimore,
it was a little banged up in there win over
the Houston Texans. But man, Zay Flowers looks pretty good.

Speaker 4 (05:48):
Yes he does.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
I mean that that that looks like a guy and
look not too fanboy out for him. But I'll give
credit where credit is due. Brady Quinn has been calling
that with Zay Flowers, he's been high on se Flowers
for quite some time. Now, Lamar Jackson looks like he's
got another weapon to go along with Mark andrews Odell
Beckham Junior wasn't much of a factory. Had a couple

(06:10):
of grabs, but you know, drew a PI penalty I
think late in that game. So Baltimore seems like they
might have a little something going. So all of a sudden,
if you're Cincinnati and you lose that game, I mean,
now you're sitting here Owen too, and you're looking around
the division going all right, well this may be a
little bit more difficult than I think anybody thought. And

(06:32):
then look, you know, we can get into the San
Francisco side of things when it comes to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
But what the f was that with the Pittsburgh Steelers yesterday?
Jesus man.

Speaker 4 (06:48):
I don't know, man, I don't know what to say.

Speaker 1 (06:52):
I'm trying to put keep my professional hat on in
this moment because my fan, the fan in me, I
just don't I don't understand what happened.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
I mean I didn't. It was like Rock Purty was
never injured, never missed any time.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
Not only was he not injured and never missed any
time or anything else that you're going to say. He
looked like an elite franchise quarterback.

Speaker 2 (07:30):
And the Steelers just looked rattled early and never recovered.
There was just no like and you know, you're you're
listening to the crowd react, and like I thought, in
that game, Pittsburgh was in a good spot. You're getting
a team to go on the road and they've got
to travel all that way. It's an early kickoff, and

(07:51):
you know.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
Just they they well, they put a they loaded up
on their plane, whip ass like, they packed it up,
They put it under the plane, They shipped it, you know,
with them. They they carried it across border from border
to border on their way to the East coast, and
they landed in Pittsburgh and they unpacked it and and

(08:14):
they delivered it to behind. Oh whoa, whoa. The new
name of the field that the Steelers play it.

Speaker 2 (08:20):
What is it acupunt? What is it acupuncture or something
like that?

Speaker 1 (08:23):
I don't know aqu something anyway, I'll never really get.
At least I have to do it and then.

Speaker 6 (08:31):
You got it.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
It's a sure.

Speaker 4 (08:34):
Got well.

Speaker 1 (08:35):
They need some therapy after that game, that's for sure.
Because that I don't you know, they managed to muster
one touchdown in the second quarter, and they were blanked
the rest of the way, and they were blanked on
offense and they were blanked on defense. It was it
was such a lopsided game. It was so lopsided. I mean,

(08:57):
they they just looked like they were just it looked
like they were playing a college team. It looked like
a pro team versus a college team. That's what it
looked like to.

Speaker 2 (09:05):
Yeah, not not good on any level for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
And you know, I was assuming, like, in fact, you
want to hear how bad it was for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
So my first thought was, man, oh man, Mike Tomlin
is going to have some things to say after the game,
Like that was as ugly as it gets for Mike

(09:27):
Tomlin in his career as coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
He's going to have some things to say at the game.
Listen to this, It sounds like Mike Tomlin almost doesn't
know what to say because he was shocked at what
happened at home against the Niners.

Speaker 6 (09:41):
We got kicked in the teeth today in a lot
of ways. It was a failure on our part in
all areas. You know, we got to coach better, we
got to play better. We talked about a lot of
the things and worked on a lot of the things
that unfolded in the ways that we didn't want them to.
And so we go back to the drawing board.

Speaker 2 (09:57):
It just looks like it sounds like he doesn't I
don't know what to do. Yeah, we just uh, there's
He's like, no animation, no, get fired up.

Speaker 7 (10:08):
No.

Speaker 2 (10:09):
I mean he probably let the team have it a
little bit, but I can't that I did not see
that happening.

Speaker 1 (10:14):
That's a somber day. I won't say it didn't sound
like he didn't know what to do. It just sounded
like what he said, like they they kicked them in teeth,
they got bullied it, bro, it wasn't even close. It
just looked like they outclassed them so bad. They out
they out physical them, they out played them, they out

(10:36):
coached them, they out everything. It just seemed like everything
was so easy. It was just easy and and and
it just looked like they were having so much fun.
I mean, your Boyfrid Warner set a tone hit running back.
I don't even know if that was Nase. He had
somebody in the mouth early in the game. I was like, yep,
they set the tone. They are loaded by the way,

(10:59):
like I said, San Francisco in my mind was like, yeah,
this is going to be a really good team this year.

Speaker 4 (11:06):
I wasn't sure.

Speaker 1 (11:08):
My biggest question has been where, you know, will they
be as good at the quarterback position. I don't know
how brock Perdy turned into what he is so early
and so quickly and nobody knowing. Maybe it just shows that,
you know, for all the people that think they know
what they're talking about, a lot of times they don't.

Speaker 4 (11:28):
I don't.

Speaker 1 (11:29):
I don't really know what the answer to that is.
How is he so good? But he's that good? He's
that good because.

Speaker 2 (11:35):
I think that you mentioned you said something a little
bit ago that I'm fascinated to see where your head's
at with this. All right, So you obviously grew up
in Pennsylvania Steelers fan.

Speaker 1 (11:48):
I grew up in Pittsburgh four one two. My address
was Pittsburgh thirty three Shannon Draft, Pittsburgh.

Speaker 4 (11:55):
You grew up raft two three seven.

Speaker 2 (11:57):
You're going to give that out of the air, Yeah,
I mean, while we're at it, if you want to
do your social Security number screwing No. No, But so
you you grew up there watching AFC Central football, AFC
North football. That's it. So you said that you are
now reevaluating the AFC North. Yes, So what do you mean?

(12:18):
What are we looking at now? After one week? And
by the way, for anybody to all, it's just one week,
all right, So we'll change our opinions next week. What
do we do? What are the setting stone? Kiss our ass?
We can do.

Speaker 1 (12:28):
It, clearly, not set in stone, because I'm sitting there
rethinking it right now.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
So so how are we reevaluating the AFC North.

Speaker 6 (12:37):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (12:37):
Now that you've gotten to see the first full weekend.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
In the I think the AFC North is wide open.
I think you got to say it's wide open. The
Baltimore Ravens was. I mean, while it may the score
may say it was an impressive outing, it wasn't.

Speaker 4 (12:52):
It wasn't. It could be, it could be hidden. I don't.

Speaker 1 (12:57):
I didn't, you know, I didn't think that it was
like this amazing day for a team that they should
have beat. You know, they should have beat the Texans.
I don't know what I feel about Baltimore.

Speaker 2 (13:10):
So I'll ask you this, do you believe that the
Steelers have the worst starting quarterback in the division.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
I mean, if you if you got to look at
it from I mean think about it, I mean, Deshaun Watson,
Joe Burrow, Lamar Jackson. So I don't feel like that's
a hard question to answer it.

Speaker 2 (13:30):
And so like my point is in what and now
that we've seen it a weekend because man, even Albert
Breer was on the air. Remember Albert Breer told us, man,
Kenny Pickett and George Pickett could be like a top
five quarterback, like something could be a top five So
and I know it's the Niners and they're one of
the better teams.

Speaker 4 (13:48):
In the league, but they're loaded.

Speaker 2 (13:49):
Yeah, like one weekend, Like it does feel.

Speaker 4 (13:52):
Like that You're not supposed to get hammered like that though.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
Yeah, like if you're a team that's on the up,
like you're hitting in a in a direction of being
a dominant team and a top five quarterback type of player,
you probably shouldn't get dominated like that on your own
home field.

Speaker 2 (14:11):
Yeah, that's I mean, that was.

Speaker 4 (14:14):
I mean, I just so I.

Speaker 1 (14:15):
Don't know, you know, they ran through their defense like
like something going through your bowels very loosely. Yeah, it was,
it was not. It just wasn't pretty, man, It wasn't pretty.
It just seemed like the forty nine ers were toying
with them.

Speaker 2 (14:32):
More concerning loss, Cincinnati and.

Speaker 1 (14:34):
Pittsburgh, Okay, that's a good question. I would say more
concerning is a divisional opponent for one and for two
the way they lost, Like it wasn't like they just lost.
They were getting thumped by Cleveland. Like there were moments

(14:55):
in time where you were like, okay, like dang, Like
we talked about what Michael parts and did a little earlier.
I mean your boy, Miles Garrett. Miles Garrett not only
was getting blocked by everybody on the line like Michael was,
but he splits them.

Speaker 4 (15:12):
Yeah, it still gets a sack.

Speaker 2 (15:14):
He's a monster.

Speaker 1 (15:16):
Dude is a bull and and he is an athletic one.

Speaker 2 (15:22):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (15:22):
And then the ad Zadarius Smith.

Speaker 1 (15:24):
You know, you ever noticed that a defense always seems
to improve the moment. Zadarias Smith is that on that
d line, Like it's just like they get better.

Speaker 4 (15:33):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (15:33):
He has that get better impact wherever he goes. It
seems seems as though he's having that same impact on Cleveland.
But Cleveland's defense was they were playing they were playing
some ball.

Speaker 2 (15:44):
And it also look, I mean, the bright spot for
the Steelers is, well, at least you're not gonna have
to see the Niners again because you ain't going to
a super Bowl. So like there's that. But for the
for the Bengals, this is I mean, this is now
a thing Cleveland again. Yeah, you gotta see him again again.
And you got manhandled like that.

Speaker 1 (16:02):
So and then you go into another divisional game and
it's early. So that just seems like it puts a
little bit of pressure on the scenario where you can't
really kind of ease your way in. It's like bam,
two divisional games back to back, like boom boom, Like
let's get it in.

Speaker 4 (16:19):
Yeah, you know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (16:21):
Like that, that isn't what it is for for for
the Ravens, that isn't what it is for, uh, for
the Steelers, you know what I mean. So it's kind
of interesting that that the Bengals would come out and
have two divisional games back to back. Then you let
one get away from you in the first the first uh,
the first one. And now the question has to be

(16:42):
on your way back into you know, this second game.
You know, do you really want to get two games
down so early and so quickly in the season. You know,
that just seems a little I don't no, that seems
to me, like that's just a tad bit rough.

Speaker 3 (17:03):
Now.

Speaker 4 (17:03):
They I believe they do. They do get them at home.

Speaker 2 (17:06):
Yeah, and there look, according to due DraftKings are a
three point favorite. But you lose that one. Now not
only you oing to, but you're owing to in the division.
That's that's correct, That's that's a problem. Yeah, and that's pressure. Yeah,
you know I could see if you're like, again you
asked the question.

Speaker 1 (17:22):
Here's the point. The original question is which one is
the worst loss? It's it's I would assume it has
to be the Bengals because of what it sets up for, Like,
you don't want to get to O and two, so
you almost and I don't want to say it's a
must win for them to beat Baltimore, but you don't
want to be going too and in the AFC North,
you don't want to be oing to in the AFC

(17:44):
if you're a team that you're you're talking about trying
to keep pace to be you know, the one seed
and that that that conference. But with that being said,
I mean Kansas City took it on the chin. It
wasn't divisional, but they took it on the chin. Nonetheless,
there's there's a few teams that, you know, you could
look at and say, you know that, you know, San Diego,

(18:05):
I mean, excuse me, La took it on the chins.

Speaker 2 (18:08):
Yeah whatever, see, yes, you know, it.

Speaker 4 (18:10):
Doesn't even matter after that.

Speaker 2 (18:11):
Yeah, it's done, you know, I mean.

Speaker 1 (18:13):
Miami played a hell of which by the way, you
got Miami like they looked really good.

Speaker 2 (18:20):
Yeah, well, let me tell you what looks good. Because

Pros and a cup of Joe here on Fox Sports Radio.
Coming up next, though, we're going to find out what
it was like. One of the cool moments that you'll
ever hear in the world of football took place this weekend,
and we'll get into that for you next here on FSR.

Speaker 3 (18:57):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros, Cup
of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington, and Jonas Knox
weekdays at six am Eastern, three am Pacific on Fox
Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 2 (19:11):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe Fox Sports Radio,
LeVar Arrington, Jonas Knox with you here. Coming up in
about twenty minutes from now, We're gonna have an FSR
IR and we've already heard that we have got some
juicy stuff for it, so make sure you stick around
for that. That'll be happening here again twenty minutes from
now from the tire Raq dot Com studio. So we're
going to get into all of the stuff that took

(19:33):
place in the world of college football. I mean, obviously COLORADOSKA.

Speaker 1 (19:37):
Gotta touch Colorado. I was getting messaged all weekend. Well,
first of all, I didn't know I was being a hater.
I didn't think I was being a hater by just
saying I'm not all the way sure about Colorado yet.
And I did boldly predict that there would be a
different typeic game against Nebraska hold.

Speaker 2 (19:53):
On, in your defense, Jeff Simms was a turnover machine.
If he doesn't turn the ball over for Nebraska, I
think that's a completely so listen, Nebraska played well early
on it just it looked like they were, you know,
just at a certain point were just demoralized with all
the turnovers and their you know, inability to capitalize on

(20:14):
you know, opportunity that they had there. So, I mean, look,
Colorado is a great story. Texas is when at Alabama
was fantastic textas Oh man Quin yours. I mean, he
looked good. That reminded me of the Manzel Game of Tuscaloosa,
where he just went in there and Alabama had no
answers for it. All of that great stories and good

(20:36):
for anybody that had a good weekend in the world
of college football. But I'm telling you right now, nobody
had a better weekend in the world of college football
than the Arringtons set the scene because I even I
even brought it up on my Saturday show that I said,
that's one of the coolest things. And I even texted
you and asked you if you cried the fact that

(20:57):
your son playing for Delaware was on the same field
that you played at all those years at Penn State
in state college. You're on the sideline and you're watching
your son play on the same field as you. That
has got to be one of the coolest moments.

Speaker 4 (21:13):
Of your life.

Speaker 1 (21:14):
Well here and I we went through a lot, you know,
because just the scenario and the setup of how things
played out. I'm not with his mother and that's so
he's my oldest son, and there are a lot There's
a tremendously large backstory connected to it all. But in

(21:38):
the end, fast forward, we were able to reconnect, rebuild
and grow our relationship, you know, as a family with
his siblings, you know, with Trish, with me. It became
an amazing and amazing story of just coming back together

(21:58):
Jonas and it was more so to be a family
more than anything else. But he played basketball growing up,
like and again that's kind of connected to the backstory
of it. He was almost basically deterred and kept away
from playing football for obvious reasons, but he played basketball

(22:23):
and one of the most winning it is. I think
he's the only only basketball player in Western PA history
to play in four championship title games Whippi Old title
games as a starter and won a State championship, played
into one I want to say three or four, three

(22:46):
or so Whippio Championship. Just he's been a winner. But
he ends up at Alleghany College, which if you guys
probably have never heard of. But Alleghany College, the Crocodiles,
I believe they are is just a small D three school.
He went to play basketball. He leaves during COVID, leaves

(23:07):
during COVID, wants to try his hand at switching sports
to play football. His girlfriend basically forces him to call me,
like to reach out to me, Like, just reach out
to your dad, Like I know it's been a long time.
Reach out to your dad. He reaches out. We connect

(23:29):
and we put together a plan and a strategy for
him to see if he could chase a dream which
I didn't even know was his dream.

Speaker 4 (23:38):
He wanted to.

Speaker 1 (23:39):
Play football, and so we put together a strategy. He
ends up going to Lakajuana calling a favor Lakawan coach
Dudah shouts out to coach Dudah and Lakajuana. They take
him in right. This is one of the top programs.
Your guy that plays for the Chicago Bears. Brisker came
from from Lackawana College as well before he went to

(24:02):
Penn State. But he goes to Lakawuana learns how to
play football, They teach him how to play ball, and
he ends up playing his second year starting and ends
up getting an opportunity from the Blue Hens and goes
to the University of Delaware. And little did I know
at the time when we were making the decision for

(24:22):
him to go to Delaware, which I thought was a
tremendous landing place for him. There were some bigger schools
that were out there for him, but we we thought
that that Delaware was a perfect place for him to go,
continue to develop and have an opportunity to play and
chase possibly even making it or having an opportunity for

(24:44):
the pros. I didn't even realize that Penn State was
on the schedule at the time that he had committed,
you know, to going to Delaware. So then you figure
out that they're on the schedule, and you know, you
gotta you gotta mark that off. I mean, he had
a he had a tremendous day. I think he had
like he had a tremendous stat line man like it was.

(25:06):
It wasn't bad at all in fact, let me look
for it.

Speaker 2 (25:10):
I mean, even if he even if you know, even
if he didn't one tackle or just didn't get a tackle,
just played special teams man like that, that's your kid,
Like at Beaver Stadium in front of one hundred plus thousand.

Speaker 4 (25:26):
Six total six total tackles three three solo.

Speaker 2 (25:30):
All right, you didn't cry? Did you? How close did
you get?

Speaker 4 (25:33):
All right?

Speaker 2 (25:34):
So I would I would have lost there. I would
have no shot if that was watching my kid. If
if I got to see my kid bus tables at
TGI Fridays like I did back in the day, let
me tell you something, I'd be emotional as.

Speaker 1 (25:47):
Hell right right now, I'll say, I'll say I thought
that I would probably have a cry baby moment. But
when I saw him, I just felt so inspired and
I felt so accomplished as a dad, because again I
gave the backstory so that, you know, just telling the story,

(26:10):
people could understand the level of.

Speaker 4 (26:13):
Emotions that were involved.

Speaker 1 (26:15):
Our whole family was on the sideline watching him warm up,
and it just that was watching little LeVar look at
Keno and seeing Penn who's name from Penn State, seeing
all of like you know, Marley and Layla being there
and Trish being there and us just just watching him

(26:36):
warm up.

Speaker 4 (26:37):
His girlfriend Riley was with us.

Speaker 1 (26:39):
It was it was an emotional overload, but I didn't cry.
I was just so proud that we could all share
that moment together, and knowing the journey that he was
on to get there and everything that he had to
accomplish and overcome, to actually just be in the union

(27:00):
for him, Like you said, it was, I was just proud, man.
I was just beaming of just I was just very
very proud of them. And so it was cool. It was.
It was really I said, I was standing on their sideline.
I lied, I went, I went over.

Speaker 4 (27:16):
I was. I was with the a D.

Speaker 1 (27:18):
I was with Pat Craft, and we stood on the
sideline of on the on the Penn State side, so
I did not stand on Delaware side. But nonetheless, yeah,
my baby was in Beaver Beaver Stadium playing and listen,
some guys that had played ball probably had their sons
end up playing on the same field and they're they're

(27:39):
really good and and have you know, things were laid
out a certain type of way. This was just something
that was so much like you know, I made him
while I was still at Penn State, you know what
I mean. So it was like you want to talk
about a full circle. He was, he was, He was there,
my lad, Like he wasn't there, but he was. I

(28:00):
made them at Penn State. So so the well I
made him so right that daddy gave you a chance
while he was still in college.

Speaker 4 (28:11):
My god.

Speaker 1 (28:12):
So so for for me to have the opportunity to
see because I've seen him play it as a Delaware
hen before already, but to see him play at state
in state college against Penn State and know that he fit,
you know, he fit like it wasn't like he wasn't
in there and he wasn't gigging. He was in there

(28:34):
and he and he was the only way he's doing
he's still learning the game or whatever. But more so
than the playing part of it is just that was
that's my son, you know, and that's my boy, that's
one of my two boys. And it was yeah, it
was just it was surreal, man, it was very surreal.

Speaker 2 (28:50):
That's that's once in a lifetime stuff, man, Like that
pretty cool, it's really really really cool. So yeah, congrats
to you guys. That's awesome.

Speaker 1 (28:58):
And uh and they got the asses, Yeah, they got
their ears kicked all the weight in.

Speaker 2 (29:06):
Yeah, they got buried.

Speaker 4 (29:07):
Yeah. Yeah that so I got what I wanted.

Speaker 1 (29:10):
My son made a lot of tackles, and my alma
mater beat the hell out of them.

Speaker 4 (29:15):
Yeah. It was just I couldn't have wanted it. I
couldn't have played out any better.

Speaker 2 (29:18):
A good day for the Arringtons. It is two pros
and a cup of Joe here on Fox Sports Radio.

fsr IR coming up here shortly. But for all the
latest from around the world of sports.

Speaker 8 (29:47):
Edmund Garcia, what now, Jonas, You technically wouldn't be able
to see your son in the rat suit, but if
you know he was in the rat suit, you know,
entertaining kids serving pizza. Yeah, at Chuck E Cheese, you

(30:07):
would probably cry right maybe for another reason.

Speaker 2 (30:12):
Yeah, because I feel like I would have failed him,
like you know, like you know, like you know, there
are so many other jobs that I did, and this
is the one you settled on, you know, like you
could have been a I was a janitor, I did landscaping,
I did there's all sorts of stuff that I did.
And he fell into the rat suit just like I
did when I was in high school. By the way
I did.

Speaker 8 (30:31):
Probably would have been crying as well behind that.

Speaker 2 (30:33):
You know, it's funny. I did take him to Chuck
E Cheese on Friday afternoon. Wow, there was like three
people there, no rats. That was cool.

Speaker 8 (30:43):
Did you you could have volunteered.

Speaker 2 (30:45):
I could have, But man, that Chuck E Cheese it's
the same one that I worked at. Yeah it is.
It is not a very standards, very ill place.

Speaker 8 (30:56):
Must have went to hell.

Speaker 2 (30:57):
I washed my hands and I'm like, yeah, same thing.
Like they have not upgraded anything in twenty five years.
It is kind of like, what do you mean there's
that vending machine looks brand new across the way you
talk about all.

Speaker 8 (31:10):
I mean, Lee's got his hands in the air. I
mean where we are right now, they have upgraded. But
you know, the other area kind of been the same
for twenty years.

Speaker 2 (31:17):
I made the refurbished vending machine we got from the
fourth floor. It's a classic. It is a classic. It's
a classic vintage.

Speaker 8 (31:24):
I'm gonna shut up now so I don't get any
more trouble. Week one of the NFL. It was a
good Sunday for the road teams, including the Sunday night
game at Metlive Stadium where the Cowboys crushed the Giants
forty to nothing. And it kind of wasn't even that closed.
But that's not closed. Dallas's defense force three turnovers, they
scored a touchdown, They sacked genn Daniel Jones seven times.

(31:45):
Most lopsided shoutout win in Cowboys history. Dak Prescott didn't
even have a touchdown and they won by forty points.
Dolphins outscored the Chargers in LA thirty six to thirty
four to a tongue of Mailoa for Miami pass for
four hundred and sixty six yards, three touchdowns. Tyreek Hill
was on the receiving end. He had two hundred and
fifteen yards catching the ball and two touchdowns. Forty nine

(32:07):
Ers going to Pittsburgh handle the Steelers thirty to seven.
Brock Purty first game since the elbow surgery for San
Francisco two hundred and twenty yards passing a couple of touchdowns.
Christian McCaffrey rushed for one hundred and fifty two yards
in a score. Packers beat the Bears in Chicago thirty
eight to twenty. Jordan Love two hundred and forty five
yards passing three touchdowns, and then went for Green Bay
there ninth in a row over Chicago. Browns beat the

(32:27):
Bengals twenty four to three. Joe Burrow just got that contract,
highest paid player in history, but of course he missed
all the preseason with the injury to his leg. Career
whorst eighty two yards passing no touchdowns, no interceptions. Now

Speaker 3 (34:26):
After your sports weekend happens. So it's time to get
the FSR IR report.

Speaker 2 (34:35):
ALRIGHTVR, you teased it. What are we looking at here?
You've got car problems? What's going on?

Speaker 1 (34:40):
Heard the good of the trip, right, We just talked
about the triumphant moment of your son being on the field. Well,
you had to get there, and so we flew into Harrisburg.

Speaker 4 (34:52):
All right.

Speaker 1 (34:53):
Harrisburg Airport is probably like maybe like an hour and
twenty hour and thirty away from State College. So we
fly in and you know, they got this whole new
way of getting cars and rental cars like you get
them and they drop them off. You tam, we got
us Tesla. We get in the car. I look at

(35:14):
the battery charge. The battery charge says one hundred and
seventy five miles was eighty eight miles to get to
State College, so should be an easy drive.

Speaker 4 (35:25):
Right yeah, all right, Well here's the thing.

Speaker 1 (35:29):
If I would have known I needed to get a charge,
knowing the terrain between Harrisburg and State College, we would
have stopped and did a supercharge in Harrisburg before we
got on the road. But it's shit one hundred and
seventy some miles on the car.

Speaker 9 (35:46):
So we get on the road and as we're driving,
for some strange reason, the numbers and the percentages start
dropping quick Jonas quick.

Speaker 1 (35:58):
Now it's like it's like one in the morning right now,
right like there is all day affair traveling. It's like
one in the morning. We're driving and it's like not
one hundred and seventy five miles anymore, it's now like
forty miles. Oh god, So you're we're looking up you know,
supercharge stations.

Speaker 4 (36:18):
There are none.

Speaker 1 (36:19):
You got to get to State College or to like
Pelfont to get a supercharged, which is too far.

Speaker 4 (36:27):
You won't be there.

Speaker 1 (36:28):
Type it in It says negative zero ten percent on arrival,
meaning you ain't gonna make it. So we find a
charge port at a holiday inn, and the holiday inn
is like.

Speaker 4 (36:44):
You know, it's it's a regular charge port.

Speaker 1 (36:47):
So we plug it in and it says three hours
and such and such minutes to.

Speaker 4 (36:55):
Charge.

Speaker 2 (36:55):
You can't like charge it part way and then leave,
Yeah you can, right, Yeah.

Speaker 4 (37:01):
But it's a slow drip charge.

Speaker 2 (37:03):
Okay, I got you.

Speaker 1 (37:04):
So it's like a supercharger for your cell phone versus
a regular charger, right.

Speaker 2 (37:09):
Like one of those charging chargers.

Speaker 4 (37:11):
It charges way slower than the lightning charger. Right.

Speaker 1 (37:13):
So the ir part of this trip is we literally
were in a parking lot for two hours charging this
car that gave us the wrong the wrong information in terms.
Come to find out, the car just wasn't holding charge.
So we had to send it like I wrote a
little message you might want to get your battery changed

(37:36):
or you know, figure out what you got going on
with your car, because your car isn't holding its charged.

Speaker 2 (37:41):
So like when you pick up a rental car, isn't
it supposed.

Speaker 4 (37:45):
To be charged?

Speaker 2 (37:46):
Yeah? And filled up with gas every single time, So
it was just sitting there leaking charge while you guys
grabbed it. And then you're because of the terrain. You're
down to man at one in the morning. F that
that is I mean, I don't know, just the feeling of,
oh my god, we're not going to make it and
it's one in the morning and we're in the middle

(38:07):
of Pennsylvania trying to you know, probably taken back roads
to try and get to where we need to go.
That's that's a rough spot to be in.

Speaker 4 (38:15):
I meanbelievable, man.

Speaker 2 (38:17):
So you guys must have been dragged ass by the
time you got there.

Speaker 1 (38:21):
Bro, we we didn't get in weeks. So we dropped
the kids off at like four, four thirty am something
like that. We go charge the car so we could
have the car ready to go for the day. We
didn't get done with that until like five thirty. So

(38:42):
we go sit at sheets which shuts out the sheets.
Love sheets. But yeah, bro, we put it to you
this way. I slept really hard after that game. I'll
tell you that. Yeah, I slept hard after that football game. Yeah, tired,
was tired, little tired.
