buying should be now. Mike Tomlin and we talked about
this a little bit because we made mention of it
(01:55):
in discussing the AFC North and kind of where things
are at. He's got a little bit of an issue
on his hands because he's got this wide receiver, you know,
which is first time for everything, A guess in Pittsburgh.
He's got a wide receiver who's not happy. And that
wide receiver is George Pickens, who caught I believe it
was two passes for negative one yards last week on
(02:19):
Thursday night. I believe that was the stat line, and
there was a moment in which Deontay Johnson caught his
first touchdown since twenty twenty one, which I didn't realize
it had been that long since Deontay Johnson, who's a
good wide receiver, had caught a touchdown. The last quarterback
to throw a touchdown to Deontay Johnson was Ben Roethlisberger.
That's how long it had been. So he catches his
(02:40):
first touchdown in a couple of years. Last week, he
comes back from injury. And while everybody ran over to
hug and congratulate Johnson and they were happy. Obviously Pittsburgh
took the lead. They ended up winning that game. It
was George Pickens who just walked off to the sideline
and was visibly frustrated with his head down. He's not happy.
(03:01):
And so Mike Tomlin was asked by the media yesterday
about the situation with George Pickens, and it went about
as well as you can imagine.
Speaker 1 (03:09):
And if you want to.
Speaker 4 (03:10):
Express any frustrations to you of the course of the season.
Speaker 5 (03:13):
He wants to be significant. He wants to be a
reason why we're successful. Man, you don't begrudge that. I
want guys who want the football. I want guys who
want to be central reasons why we're successful, and so
that's you know, that's a non issue to be quite honest.
Speaker 3 (03:29):
With you experienced so dealing with players, young players specifically
kind of working through God, adversity, the starcus.
Speaker 5 (03:36):
How do you coach a young player if not like breathing,
it's easy. I know it's a cute story for you guys,
but it is. It is a pebble in my shoe
to be quite honest with you in terms of the
things that I have to do in an effort to
get this group ready to play this week. Our focus
is on the Green Bay Packers and what we're all
going to do in this football game. And I can't
(03:58):
state at any planer than that. You've had a reality
television the way you guys follow social media and write
stories about it.
Speaker 2 (04:09):
I love it. I love it. I mean, like Mike
Tomlin hasn't dealt with disgruntled players before, Like he hasn't
dealt with people that aren't happy about whether they're in
they're involvement in the offense or the defense or whatever.
So George Pickens, you know, complaining because he's not getting
(04:29):
the ball en up, and that it's like, dude, you
won the game. Like just be happy about Deancey Johnson
catching a touchdown, but you know, throwing a fit, pouting
all that stuff. Mike Tomlin in probably had a conversation
George Pickens, by the way, apparently has has you know,
added Pittsburgh content back to his social media. I don't
(04:49):
know how that stuff works, but apparently he's readded all
that to his profile and whatnot. But that is the
latest on the Mike Tomlin George Pickens saga that the
media tried to get a hold of there and pitch
your team that way.
Speaker 1 (05:03):
Yeah, listen, there could be something. There could be something
to it, and Mike Tomlin's way of approaching it is
going to be Mike Tomlin's way of approaching it. I
think that you understanding the type of leader that Mike
Tomlin is. I mean, we just came out of a
(05:23):
conversation a few a few segments ago where you're talking
about how you know the things you learn, the lessons
you learn when you're playing this game and him saying
that it's like breathing air to be able to handle
and deal with these situations and teach these guys how
to do what it is that they do. You know,
(05:46):
you got to live in you have to live in
your identity, and you have to unapologetically live in your
identity when being a coach, because you're instilling your ideas,
you're instilling your belief into other people. So you have
to be aware of what it is that you're doing
(06:07):
because you don't want the lessons that you're teaching, the
personality traits that people will take on from their coaches.
You don't want it to be destructive. So and understanding
the type of man that Mike Tomlin is. Mike Tomlin's
a man first. And it's funny, like, there's nothing wrong
(06:27):
with being a man, right, I saw somebody right like, oh,
so being a man is the reason why we have
all of these mental health issues and stuff like that.
And now, being a man isn't why you have mental
health issues. In fact, being a man allows for you
to be able to deal with and handle the mental
(06:48):
health issues that may fall right down the line of
what a man may be dealing with in their life.
So it's all about how you internalize what you feel,
what you do, and how you how you communicate and
verbalize that to other people. Right, So, and then you
(07:09):
so you give that, you give those people that that
learn under you, the people that Mike Tomlin are teaching
and and learn under him, which they're adults anyway, they're
they're they're professional athletes. But in some cases you do
have guys that need influence and they need guidance and
(07:30):
they need growth. And Mike Tomlin is one of the
best coaches to be that type of person where where
a player cannot only develop as a player, but they
also can develop as a person. And and sometimes that's
a that's a that's a responsibility that's very very understated
(07:51):
in coaching. It's it's also something that is and in
some cases grossly grossly undervalued the person that is coaching.
Speaker 2 (08:02):
Hey, George Pickens, how about you get your second foot
and bound so you can catch a touchdown next time?
That that should be what Mike Tomlin says to George Pace. Yeah,
cut the crap. You know, you got people out there
with fantasy football teams and had implications on that game,
and you got people that are gambling on these games.
Why don't you do your job and get your foot
and bounds next time? Easy touchdown?
Speaker 3 (08:22):
Ball?
Speaker 2 (08:22):
Was there nobody on him didn't get a second foot
and bounds. Deontay Johnson did and he got rewarded with
six for it. That's how you handle if you're Mike Tomlin.
Enough of this crap. Wow, So then let me ask
you this though. All right, let me ask you if,
because you talked last hour about which, by the way,
people are chiming in on social media, of course, your
(08:44):
take on Caleb Williams. I wanted to get your thoughts
just on this. A guy wrote in and said, LeVar
hit the nail on the head with that take on
Caleb Williams. Where basically to sum it up, you know
he needs to You weren't thrilled with him jumping into
the stands unless there was something else going on with
the family sickness.
Speaker 1 (09:04):
I mean thrilled. I mean, come on, Like what kind
of a word is that to be used to explain it.
I didn't like it, Like it's not I wasn't thrilled, like,
oh my gosh, Caleb jumping into the stands and hugging
his mom and breaking down and sobbing was was thrilling
to me? Like, come on, man? Or not thrilling? I
(09:27):
wouldn't explain it that way. I just didn't like it.
I didn't like the form of it. I didn't like
what it represented to me.
Speaker 2 (09:35):
A guy wrote on Twitter, he said LeVar hit the
nail on the head with that take on Caleb Williams,
and I wrote, I disagree it was mean, and he apologies.
Speaker 1 (09:44):
I don't think that it was mean at all, but
I think that, like I think that your son will
probably be okay jumping into the stands and hugging his
mom and crying in a fetal position. That's that's what
I think. And by the way, there's nothing I didn't
say it was wrong. Like people people are hitting me
up and they're like, you're wrong, You're wrong, Like it's
(10:08):
an opinion, my son is it's an opinion.
Speaker 2 (10:12):
Can I tell you something he did last night that
I'm like, oh my god. He is a world class
smart ass. So he's a Knox, so world class smart ass.
So whenever I whenever I try and get him to
understand that he shouldn't do something or he needs to
to hear what we're telling him, because you know, he's
two and a half years old, he's just you know,
(10:33):
he already thinks he knows it all. Like I'll sit him,
and I'll talk to him very calmly, and I'll grab
his arm and I'll say, hey, listen, and then I'll
explain to him why he can't do what he did
or why he needs to do this. Moving forward. Last night,
we're you know, playing, you know, with the monster trucks
or whatever we're doing, and I kind of had my
head turned because I was looking at something and he
(10:55):
walked up to me and he grabbed my leg and
he said, hey, listen, and I just started laughing, and
he knew he got me. So now I have to
find some other way to get through to him because
he knows he's he's he's got a beat on on
what my approach to him. And so the whole rest
of the night he kept walking up to me, looking
me in the eyes. He would grab my arm and go,
(11:16):
hey listen, Papa, and I said, okay, So now I
got to figure out something else. So now I'm like
scrambling to find how else I can get through to
my son. So that's what I got to work with there.
But you know, his English is coming along, which is
half the battle there in that house.
Speaker 1 (11:30):
So for anybody that.
Speaker 2 (11:32):
Knows the story there, uh, the point is on the
Mike Tomlin front. George Pickens, he's a really talented player.
But I just I don't get the approach of that.
And you mentioned that you weren't if your son did
what Caleb Williams did, you wouldn't be happy with it
if your son did what George Pickens did. What's the
(11:53):
approach with that?
Speaker 1 (11:56):
About him just stating publicly that he's frustrated, right and.
Speaker 2 (12:00):
Putting his head down and almost pouting when somebody else
kind of touchdown that he didn't catch.
Speaker 1 (12:06):
How old is he? It doesn't matter how old he is,
you know. The The lesson. The lesson there for me
if I were talking to my son is, for one,
don't don't ever be so selfish. Don't ever be so
selfish that your teammates, your team, players on your team,
(12:27):
that their success hinders you from from being what you
need to be. And furthermore, don't allow one of your teammates'
success to be a you know, a something that makes
you upset, like where you're you're almost like somebody else's
(12:47):
success bothers you. And I've been in situations where guys
get frustrated they see somebody else having a very very
good game. They're not necessarily having a good game, and
they're pouting on the sideline, and it's like, you should
be encouraging your buddy and your brother to have a
great game, not being upset that they're having a great
(13:08):
game and you're not having a great game. Because a
lot of times, if you think about it, when somebody else,
especially if y'all playing the same position or you're on
the same side of the ball, if somebody else is
having a great game, then that's going to require them
to garner more attention. They garner more attention or get
their best player covering them or playing where they're at,
(13:29):
it's going to open you up to have more success
as well. And then it's a back and forth. You
guys are pingponging the success. You should never be upset
or jealous or envious of anybody on your team that's
having success. You should always be lifting them up and
being happy for them. I want you to be happier
for them than you even are for yourself when people
(13:50):
are having success. That would be the message that I
would give. But also understanding and internalizing that you need
to work your ass off. Knowing that you give yourself
the best opportunity to have the success that you're seeking
if you prepare yourself to have that success. If that
success doesn't come in the form of a statistical category
(14:13):
of yards or touchdowns, you show up. This is an
I'll take it even deeper. This is the message I
sent to my son last night because he's he's he's
he's going through some things. He's not playing as much
as he would like to be playing, and he's working
through it. I say, listen, no nothing or no one
(14:36):
can keep you from your destiny. Stay focused, keep showing up,
keep showing out, execute, rest will handle itself. That's the
message I would give Pickings or anyone else that that
would be having a moment where they're having a dow moment.
(14:57):
And and and that's that's ultimately what life is about. Right,
Nothing is going to keep you from what you're destined
to do if you keep keep your focus, you keep
showing up, because showing up is important. You got to
show up. But when you show up, you're only there.
That doesn't mean that you're going to be the best
(15:18):
version of yourself. When you show up, you got to
show out. Do what you do, and you do it
like you're the best, until that doing that like the
best becomes you being the best, which means that's your execution.
You execute over and over and over and over. See
a lot of people like talking about being great, but
(15:39):
when it comes down to the things that you have
to do in the mindset that you have to have
to be great, people aren't willing to go down that
deep dark path. It's a lonely place to be. But
you got to keep showing up, and you got to
keep showing out, and you got to keep executing because
that's the only way that you're going to ever be
able to obtain and achieve the personal greatness that's inside
(16:01):
of every one of us. We all have it. It's
just that we don't all we don't all take the journey,
we don't all unlock that that that potential that we
have inside on one another. And in fact, we pacify,
we pacify, and we pamper and we coddle people to
the point and to the effect of where they create
(16:24):
alternate realities in life. You want to get your alternate
reality as closeness and locks that with real reality as
you possibly can without losing yourself within you know, whatever
it is the real reality is versus the alternate reality
that you've created. Most people would call that delusional if
you don't take your your alternate reality and make that
(16:46):
alternate reality match the real reality that exists.
Speaker 2 (16:50):
Well, listen, if you're George Pickens, why don't you just
do the responsible thing and pay somebody on defense to
take out Deontay Johnson in practice. I mean, it's just
that simple, like twenty forty bucks and could easily be done.
You know, heightus cleat somewhere, make sure his helmet disappears
right before the final drive of the game. There's options here.
I mean, you don't have to go cry on social media.
(17:11):
Be an adult about it, for God's sakes.
Speaker 1 (17:13):
That's right.
Speaker 2 (17:13):
Yeah, Two Pros and a Cup of Joe here on
Fox Sports Radio, LeVar Arrington, Jonas Knox with you coming
up next here from the tiraq dot Com studios. Though
we do have an update because apparently there are more

the world of football, and we'll give you the latest
on that for you next on Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 3 (17:35):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington, and

Speaker 7 (18:29):
Who three oh ah oh, two pros and a cup
of Joe Fox Sports Radio, LeVar Arrington, Jonas Knox with
you here.
Speaker 2 (18:46):
Coming up later on this hour, about twenty minutes from now,
We're gonna hand out some midweek awards, the good, the bad,
and the ugly, and they are yours here live from
the tire rack dot com studios. Just checking the new
college football playoff rank Just a stunning, stunning development. No
change near the top. So no change whatsoever based on
(19:08):
last week. And I'm assuming depending on how this weekend
goes and LeVar, you'll be there in State College. If
things go poorly for Michigan, maybe we'll get an update
on that. But as far as the college football playoff
rankings go the second week addition, we've got Ohio State,
We've got Georgia, we've got Michigan and Florida State, with
Washington and Oregon at five and six on the outside,
(19:29):
so no change to the top eight and then Texas
and Alabama sitting there at seven and eight. Let's go
live tour. I have a thought on the college football
playoff ranking insider Iowa Sam for the latest Sam.
Speaker 8 (19:43):
I just saw the Hawkeyes made in there at number
twenty two, Sam a Jonas.
Speaker 2 (19:50):
It's just interesting.
Speaker 8 (19:50):
They're not ranked the AP, they're not ranked in the
coaches poll, but they are in twenty at twenty.
Speaker 2 (19:55):
Two Iowa twenty two college. One of those losses being
a shutout up to Penn State. How about that, Tarn
And then losing on four field goals to Minnesota at home. Yeah,
but you know, if they continue to stay ranked, that
win over Iowa looks better and better for Penn State.
All that factors good, So it helps Penn State.
Speaker 1 (20:14):
That's why a lot of people were like, oh my gosh,
Rutgers was giving who was at Ohio State? Like really halftime?
I was like, WHOA, Nowers is not a bad team
Ohio State.
Speaker 2 (20:26):
Rutgers is much better than I think a lot of
people realize. Iowa is only like a point favorite at home.
You know what I think it is with Rutgers.
Speaker 1 (20:34):
What is it?
Speaker 2 (20:34):
People can't get over the fact that they're in the
Big Ten.
Speaker 1 (20:37):
Still.
Speaker 2 (20:37):
I think it still bothers people. I think when they
think Rutgers, they think Big East or something like that.
Speaker 1 (20:42):
Well, who's in the Big East.
Speaker 2 (20:44):
Noboddy, Catholic Basketball, nobody. But it just, you know, it
just doesn't There's still one of those teams where you go,
like even Nebraska, not as much as Rutgers or Maryland.
Like when I think Maryland, I think acc When I
think of Nebraska, I think Big twelve. I just I
can't I can't come to terms with them being in
(21:05):
the Big ten. Still, it just it's a little bit strange.
Can I just throw one more thing out there? Matt
Rule and what he's done in year one in Nebraska.
They're going to go to a bowl game. They could
still win the Big Ten West.
Speaker 1 (21:15):
Yeap.
Speaker 2 (21:16):
What a job he has done. And if you factor in,
they probably should have won those first two games against
Minnesota and against Colorado. Colorado kind of got away from it.
But yeah, the Minnesota game. Yes, he can't help it
if their quarterback keeps turning the ball over right seven
hundred times each changed quarterback. Now they're playing much better. Yeah,
they did lose last weekend, but they've been playing much better.
Oh you know where Matt Ruhle went to college, don't you?
Speaker 1 (21:39):
Where'd it go? We are?
Speaker 2 (21:42):
Where's that Penn State?
Speaker 1 (21:44):
Yeah? N right there you go.
Speaker 2 (21:45):
Lebar used to beat him up and practice all the time.
Speaker 1 (21:48):
Yeah, you gotta be ashamed of yourself. I learned a
lot from him. Man telling you he sat next to me,
I said, excuse me, let me that I sat next
to Matt Rule in the meeting room my freshman freshman
year and learned a lot. He never played. Every once
(22:09):
in a while he gets some garbage duty, but he
was a special teams player. But dude was smart as
s and I learned a lot. I learned a lot
of study study habits from him. I learned a lot
of little details in terms of what to look for.
I was a film watcher in high school, but the
(22:29):
minute details of what to look for, you know, formations
down down in distance, breaking down tendencies in a different
manner at a more elevated level. I learned most of
that from sitting in the room with Matt Ruin Aaron Collins,
more than more than even you know, the coach that
(22:50):
was in the room. So that was a it was
apparent like I wouldn't have been sitting there like, oh,
Matt Rule's going to be a coach one day. But
he was basically mentoring me and teaching me my freshman
year and and he was really good at it. So
it came as no surprise when he started coaching with
Al Golden and then ended up being what he ended
(23:13):
up being. And you know, and now he's at Nebraska
doing what he's doing. It's not no surprise to me.
Speaker 2 (23:20):
Yeah, that's cool, it's uh, he's uh, he's done well.
Speaker 1 (23:23):
He did well Baylor.
Speaker 2 (23:24):
The Panthers were a bit of a mess, but they
still are so that seems like an organizational thing. And
now he's got Nebraska, you know, on the rise there.
So it's fun to watch, all right. So, speaking of
the Big ten, yep, So the latest in the saga
that is the Michigan sign stealing scandal. We've got a
couple of interesting pieces of h of new developments.
Speaker 1 (23:44):
And everybody's ind aren't they.
Speaker 2 (23:46):
Well, everybody's getting involved. But this one is also kind
of entertaining because the Wall Street Journal did a deep
dive on this Connor Stallion's character, which I don't even
know if that's his real name. Still I hope it
is because it's such a great name. But they did this,
I don't know what a name that's really that's that's
(24:07):
just fun. But he's they do a deep dive on
this guy and they find out, you know, he you know,
was slinging like reuse vacuums out of his home in
ann Arbor and then he had to you know, he
was taken a court because it violated bylaws and like
they went into his whole background, like he was reselling
things on Amazon. Well there was remember there was a
(24:29):
picture blake Korm the running back, he posted a picture
sitting standing next to a car and on this Uh,
the way this works is people have tied Blake Korm
with Connor Stallions that they may have had some sort
of a business relationship, because there was documents discovered that
(24:50):
we're listing Korm, Stallions and another individual, Connor O'Day as
organizers of a b C two housing LLC, and the
LLC came to light as part of this report from
the Wall Street Journal, and it kind of ties blake
Korm with Connor Stallions. And if you put two and
two together, it would mean that Connor Stallions had more
(25:14):
involvement with the Michigan program than just some rogue assistant
who was potentially filming stuff on the sidelines that there
was other things going on. So his involvement with the
program was a little bit more than what Michigan has
led on to be. Now, blake Korm has denied any
of this and said he didn't know anything about it,
so on and so forth. So that's that aspect of it. Again,
(25:34):
another twist in the saga. The other aspect that came
out that is a little bit more pro Michigan in
this regard is that, as we mentioned, and Larry Lage
of the Associated Press was the first to report on
this yesterday, not only does Michigan have proof that other
teams shared its signs last year, but they know who
it was. And this from ESPN. The three teams involved
(25:59):
are as previously mentioned, Rutgers, Ohio State, and Purdue. According
to sources, Purdue, which faced Michigan in the twenty twenty
two Big Ten Championship game, received offensive signals from Ohio
State and defensive signals from Rutgers. According to sources, Michigan
obviously beat Rutgers fifty two seventeen on November and then
(26:21):
beat Ohio State and then also clinched the East Division,
which in that game against Ohio State won then the
division there. So they've got proof that not only was
it happening to them, but they can identify who the
schools were based on there being screenshots of the back
and forth dialogue between those schools. So again it appears
(26:45):
that if you're the if you're Tony Battiti, the athletic
you know the conference commissioner there, and you're looking to
hand out punishments, you might have a few to go around,
not just to Michigan.
Speaker 1 (26:58):
Ques not on the show, but he did state it
very clearly and concisely that it's it's opening up Pandora's box.
It is what again, nobody. I think that sometimes the
storyline gets gets confused for some reason, like, oh, you
(27:19):
guys are saying that cheating is okay. And if it
was a smaller school or if they weren't winning, they
went and nobody's saying cheating is okay. But what we
are saying is some of these things everybody do it.
They don't they they've done it, does it whatever how
you want to do it, past ten presentents, and and
(27:39):
and to think that it comes out on Michigan, it's
it's being reported on Michigan. And the type of intensity
of trying to uncover this and put this out there
on something that is known, like people are like, well,
(28:01):
prove it, prove it, show us, show us. How how
exactly are we supposed to prove to you that other
schools do this, other programs do this? How exactly are
we supposed to do this? First and foremost, when when
you start, when you stop to ask that question, you
sounded like a frickin moron, because how exactly are we
supposed to prove it? All right, but do we know
(28:23):
when you're in these circles, when you've played this game
for as long as you've played this game for, do
you know of certain things that are done in order
to gain competitive adges? You find out about it, you
hear about it. Of course you do. Of course you do.
A lot of people their jobs are on the line.
(28:44):
For players, an opportunity to play at the next level
is on the line. Everyone is looking for an advantage.
Everybody's seeking a competitive at least the ones that want
to get the most out of way what they're doing
are seeking these advantages. And sometimes it's not always above board.
(29:06):
Sometimes people cheat. Go figure, maybe this is a new
concept to some people out there, Maybe it's not. I
don't know, But if you think about it, people rob
still and kill in real life all the time just
thinking that they're getting ahead, and sports people rob still.
I ain't gonna say kill, but people rob and still
(29:29):
all the time to get ahead, to get competitive edges.
And so, for what it's worth, it happens. It's being discussed.
But you have to be aware of the fact that
when you start to go after situations such as this
in a certain way, then you had better be ready
(29:50):
to do it with more than one school, is what
we'll say.
Speaker 2 (29:55):
So in regards to cheating, when you think of cheaters
in the world of cycling, who do you think of?
Of course, yet almost everybody else was doing it as
well too, Yes so, And if you think that's that's
not true. They went back and awarded the person who
(30:20):
finished like seventeenth or eighteenth as the Tour de France
champion after the fact because I don't even know, because
because the first seventeen that finished the race all popped
and pissed hot for a banned substance. They were all
on the gas.
Speaker 1 (30:38):
But they yes.
Speaker 2 (30:39):
So we can sit here and we can focus on Oh, well,
Michigan's You guys don't have proof that anybody else is
doing it? Okay, Well now we do. There's screenshots for you.
Just like listen. I can't pinpoint and identify how many
people drove fifteen miles an hour over the speed limit
when I was driving into work today, but I can
assure you they were there.
Speaker 1 (30:58):
You've seen it there.
Speaker 2 (31:00):
People can be naive to this all they want, but
it's a reality of the situation, and it's it's when
they do this holier than now stand on a soapbox
and we're gonna condemn your program. Man, cut the crap,
like there's a reason why. And we made this point
when this story first came out, when Jimbo Fisher got
really hot at Nick Saban for questioning his recruiting tactics
(31:23):
a year ago. The reason he got pissed off was
because that's normally not done in college football. That's normally
not done in college sports because everybody's on the on
the assumption, listen, there's honor amongst thieves. We're not gonna
dime anybody else out because we're probably doing something shady too.
And the first thing Jimbo Fisher said in response to
Nick Saban was something along the lines of, oh, if
(31:45):
he wants to talk about me, I got stories about
him too. Everybody's doing something and so to pretend like, well,
that's the reason Michigan was having success, I just I
find it hard to believe, man. And apparently you know,
we'll find out sooner and look, you're there this weekend.
That could be a Jim harball less Michigan Wolverines team
(32:05):
again this season as he potentially faces the suspension by
the big Time.
Speaker 1 (32:09):
Well, we still gotta win the game. You know, I've
never seen Jim Harball win a game on the football
field in twenty twenty three. Just haven't seen it and
and won't see it. So you still gotta win the game.
You still got to prepare to play the game. They're
still going to coach the game. So I don't I
(32:30):
don't look at it as it changes anything if he
were to be disciplined and not be on the sideline
used to. In fact, it could be harder. It could
be a harder proposition to go play a team that
feels as though they've been wronged, feels as though they've
been attacked. It's us against the world, Like you're giving
(32:53):
them extra motivation in some regards, so that you know,
Penn State's going to have to be ready to be
in a battle and the war, and you know, I
believe they will be. But it's going to be a
good game. And you know, you got to block out
the confusion, You got to block out the noise. That's
part of the conversation. It's kind of this show has
had kind of a consistent message and narrative. And once
(33:16):
again in this this conversation, in this segment, the Michigan
Wolverines have to block out the noise, they have to
block out the confusion, they have to block out the uncertainties,
and they have to make the certainties certain and more
certain to prepare themselves for a big game. This is
this is the biggest game of the season for them
thus far, and they're going to have to be prepared
(33:39):
because it is a very hostile environment that they're going
to have to come in and be able to perform in.
So you can't come in here worrying about that. You can't.
You can't come in here worrying about things you have
no control over. You control the controllable and let the
rest be what it's going to be.
Speaker 2 (33:56):

Speaker 2 (35:37):
By the way, did you h did you see the
clip that went viral, the the video you and I
were in studio. I think it was from Monday. I
forget what the topic was, but uh, or no, it
might have been. I think we were talking to Antonio
Pierce and the the Glazier report that him and Josh
McDaniels had some sort of a back and forth before
and uh, somebody screen shotted on the video me pointing
(36:02):
a bow and arrow at something of the studio.
Speaker 1 (36:04):
And whatever it was you were shooting at.
Speaker 2 (36:06):
If only, if only people knew the joke.
Speaker 1 (36:12):
I was really trying to focus and concentrate on the
point that I was making while you were, you know,
taking part in Shenanigan's But it's all right. I'm glad
it was caught on film, you know the film don't lie?
Speaker 2 (36:23):
Yeah, listen, Uh, you know, it depends on the data,
depends on what's on television. But you could get a
bow and arrow, you could get a blow dart. You
could get a dart to get a pistol. You could
get a sod off. You get it. Like, there's all
sorts of things that could happen.
Speaker 1 (36:41):
I mean, you could get it. There's all kinds of
different forms in fashion when when the balance is on
you know what I mean?

and then there's some downright ugly things. It's time for good,
bad and lovely.
Speaker 2 (37:28):
All right, Lead to lab who's got what this week?
As we do each and every Wednesday, we start with
the good. And you know it's a good week because
Levar's got the good.
Speaker 1 (37:36):
Well, it's a good week because I'm in State College, Pennsylvania.
Got here last night. I did not have any any
flight difficulties getting here. Can't even believe it. Like, so,
it's amazing to think that we live in a day
and age where you're amazed that you had a good
experience flying. I mean, we did start off with a delay,
(37:57):
I will say that, but it wasn't it wasn't significant.
So made it into State College and launching Stick City
merch on on Thursday tomorrow, on Friday, excuse me, on Friday,
and on Saturday Saturday on campus at the student bookstore.
And on Friday, or excuse me, on Sunday, we'll be
(38:20):
launching downtown at the Family Clothing Store. So super excited
about that, and that's super good. You know, I'm happy
to be a part of it. Clearly. This is a
super tremendously big week for Penn State football. We're taking
on Michigan, so I'm excited about that.
Speaker 2 (38:39):
All right, Lee, who's got the bad with Brady out
ken have good without the bed? This week we got
Sammy boy giving us the bed.
Speaker 8 (38:45):
Guys, Friendships should never be looked at as bad, right right, Well,
we're tired of hearing about Travis and Tata. This is
a little bit of an underlying story. It's the budding
friendship between Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes.
Speaker 1 (38:58):
Oh yeah, because notice that listen.
Speaker 8 (39:00):
She has a reputation Brittany Mahomes does. I don't know
if Taylor Swift is aware of this, and sometimes associating
yourself with obnoxious people will make you look at as
not great, you know, and less favorable. So I'm just
a little cautionary tale for Taylor Swift on her budding
friendship with someone like Brittew Holmes.
Speaker 2 (39:15):
Geez all right, Lee, that leaves one.
Speaker 1 (39:17):
She is Mahomes though, from both but Patrick's very likable though, Okay,
that's true.
Speaker 2 (39:23):
From bad to worst? What's ugly this week? Jonah, Well,
I gotta tell you, the ugliest thing that I have
heard in a long time is the fact that it
was my job to hand out the ugly this week,
and instead the clock got showed up by a bunch
of clock hogs like Iowa, Sam and LeVar here. Wow, hey,
good change up there.
