Monday morning, there's a lot to look back on in
the NFL. We are getting some good news though some
early reports coming in on Kenny Pickett's status and his injury.
It looks like they're they're checking out the MCL, possibly
(01:20):
a torn meniscus. He's going to get an MRI, but
the feeling is it's not an ACL issue for Kenny Pickett.
He's going to miss sometime, but it's not a season
ending injury for Kenny p which means Mitch Trubisky will
take over as starting quarterback for the short term there
for the Pittsburgh Steelers. So Mitch Trubisky will get the
Matt Cannada treatment as of right now, but who the
(01:42):
hell knows how much longer that's going to go on for.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
Yeah, I mean, I don't know much about meniscus stares,
but I believe it depends upon the grade as far
as well they're not they need to do something, but
you can play with it. I'm not sure how effective
or how he'll be, But yeah, they got bigger problems
than just his knee injury.
Speaker 4 (02:01):
I was about to say, like the injury stems far
beyond just his knee, Like it's it's like the Steelers
are a moniscous tear right now and they got to
figure out how to be able to play with that injury.
And does it have to be cleaned up through surgery,
a surgical procedure or you know, and what's being removed
(02:22):
when you do that procedure that I'm sorry, that could
be what's removed in that short That could be the
hang now that you know they call it a hang now.
A lot of times when that when they have to
clean and shave the meniscous tear like it hangs out there.
It irritates the rest of the knee. The knee tries
to heal it, but it can't heal it, so it
swells up and the fluid and the blood and all
(02:45):
and then it's it's all kinds of bad and well,
once it's removed, you know, you're in good shape, but
you got to do the rehab and you got to
get it back to normal. And to me, I feel
like that's where my Pittsburgh Steelers are right now.
Speaker 1 (02:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
Yeah, it's great call, great point.
Speaker 1 (03:00):
I don't know how much we'll have on this game,
but I did fail to mention this earlier, and I
really need to get your guys feedback on this. Does
Robert Sala look like Xerxes from three hundred.
Speaker 4 (03:11):
See I thought he looked like Panthrow from from ThunderCats.
Speaker 1 (03:15):
I mean, I'm just saying, look up Xerxes from three hundred.
Speaker 2 (03:19):
How do you spell that?
Speaker 1 (03:21):
Just?
Speaker 5 (03:21):
Is it a come up if.
Speaker 1 (03:22):
You try to.
Speaker 4 (03:24):
Something I don't know three hundred and then put in
like z Z E R or something like.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
You're supposed to be the movie geek? How do you
spell this guy's name? A lot of x's x.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
E R x S X.
Speaker 4 (03:38):
I feel like looks like Jason Taylor. Now if you
look up Panthrow from from ThunderCats, I think he looked
just like Panthrow. But I was a ThunderCats fan too. Yeah,
it's a cartoon.
Speaker 1 (03:55):
You can't. By the way, I think Jason Taylor, roberts In,
Xerxes could all be in the same family.
Speaker 4 (04:01):
I guess you're right. Yeah, I guess you're right. I mean,
I will say this. I always notice and pause if
I come across the wrong way. But it always seems
as though Robert Sala has very very well kept skin
on the sideline, like he uses something that that makes.
Speaker 1 (04:18):
His his his head and his skins. What you think
when you watch Jets games? Regiment you want to.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
Know what'll be next segment you take this, Brady.
Speaker 1 (04:27):
Let me tell you why I noticed this, because they
show I don't know if you got it. First off,
can I get confirmation? Does he look like Xerxes or not?
Speaker 2 (04:35):
All right, I just now pulled it up.
Speaker 3 (04:36):
Rodrigo Santoro is the guy's name, and uh, yeah, I
can see that. I'm seeing a picture with he's got hair,
but if he had no hairy, I could see that.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
Okay, don't look at the actor, look at Xerxes x
e r Xs Xerxes. Jonas finds a way of making
like simple things complicated.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
Man, because it's not simple.
Speaker 1 (04:56):
It is like going in through an airport with you.
I was like, man, no, wonder you don't try.
Speaker 3 (05:01):
To Okay, First of all, that was when I was
still trying to figure out the whole situation. I'm now,
I'm now pre checked. You don't worry about me. Pre checkloaded,
pre checked, Yeah, TSA pre check baby.
Speaker 1 (05:16):
Yeah, okay, check you have TSA pre check.
Speaker 2 (05:20):
Yeah, I'm pre checked.
Speaker 5 (05:21):
Now.
Speaker 4 (05:23):
I need to get that. Honestly, I'm getting that. We
have this conversation literally every other week.
Speaker 1 (05:31):
I guess I'm just shocked that you don't for as
much as you try to do not have it. That's shock.
It's really cheap too, which I just it's not even
about that. It's about the process.
Speaker 4 (05:42):
Like processes like scare me, Like I'm very very old
school man, Like I don't. I just don't like It's like,
do I gotta go down to an office? Do I
have to sit in this office? How long are they
going to make me sit for?
Speaker 1 (05:55):
Like? What do I gotta fill out? Like I just
don't like doing it. I just don't like being around.
Sounds like that. Oh okay, as I say, someone say
that sounds almost like it's lazy. But I'm just going
to say it's not lazy because I'm not lazy.
Speaker 4 (06:08):
It's just I'm choosing not to do certain things, like
I would rather take the physical challenge of going through
a premire line and knowing that there are a lot
of airports that don't even have premiere layer lines and
instead of going through tsa pre check.
Speaker 5 (06:23):
Yeah, yeah, it's not lazy. I just don't like doing it.
Speaker 1 (06:27):
The physical challenge. Yes, you have to go over the
wall and you have to climb up the rope in
order to be able to go through the non TSA
pre check line.
Speaker 3 (06:34):
Can we get back to the real conversation? Erxes all right,
I mean, yes, looks like Robert Salah.
Speaker 1 (06:44):
Uh the I mean that not brought it more often.
Speaker 2 (06:48):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (06:49):
I'm just trying to figure out what the costume is
on Xerxes. It's very uh, it feels like there's a
lot going on there.
Speaker 4 (06:56):
What I mean, he's like, you know, just saying they
were very gotdy with what they had, Like he had
a lot of riches. I mean his body was gold. Yeah,
I mean you know that was his skin complexion gold.
Speaker 1 (07:11):
Yeah, maybe that's Robert Saula's skin reshment. Can I just
clear myself. By the way, the reason why I noticed
the skin products and the care of his skin is
they show him a lot. They show him on the
sideline a whole lot, just as much. They show him
more than they show Taylor Swift. One.
Speaker 5 (07:31):
That's one, but.
Speaker 1 (07:32):
Then two two.
Speaker 4 (07:34):
I'm always looking to see what his facial expression is.
And last night was the first time I actually seen
him make facial expressions that were kind of like he's disappointed,
Like he made disappointed facial I just thought of a
conspiracy theory.
Speaker 1 (07:49):
By the way.
Speaker 3 (07:50):
Oh okay, LaVar, can I ask you a question real
quick because we'll have the conspiracy theory of music coming
up here in a moment. What's your mount Rushmore of
best skin coaches like strip like as far as coach
as you would go? Man, oh man, look at that.
Speaker 4 (08:05):
I mean, Robert Salah is up there, okay, James Franklin
is up there, And I'll tell you the common theme
the comments.
Speaker 1 (08:13):
Yeah, they're all light skin and they're all bold. So
whatever whatever skincare they're using to moisturize their head and
their face is pretty phenomenal. I mean, so basically your said,
if you have hair, you're not gonna I'm sorry. I mean,
I know everybody knows how beautiful you are and all
(08:35):
that in that department. I'm just saying you're not going
to win best looking moisturized Skins because you had hair, all.
Speaker 3 (08:44):
Right, So it's a mount Rushmore you need to more
so Robert Salah, James Franklin, who else we're looking at here?
Speaker 1 (08:50):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (08:50):
I mean, can we use Charles S. Dutton and Rudy
even though he wasn't a coach, you know, I.
Speaker 2 (08:55):
Don't know he was a janitor, right, I mean he
was a coach, the Rock coach.
Speaker 1 (08:59):
Rock was a coach. You're a Iron gang. Let's let's
go with the Rock, It's all. I don't know, man,
I don't know who the fourth form would be.
Speaker 2 (09:10):
Dale Lindsay, I almost said f no, like you use
the word.
Speaker 5 (09:17):
I almost use the word you know.
Speaker 1 (09:18):
By the way, by the way, Dale Lindsey, all right,
here's some trivia. The only team to ever go oh
to four in the NFL is the nineteen ninety two
San Diego Chargers head coach Bobby Ross quarterback Stan Humphries.
And on that staff, Dale.
Speaker 2 (09:36):
Lindsay, Hey, how about that.
Speaker 1 (09:39):
I mean, obviously he's actually he's actually a really good coach.
Speaker 4 (09:45):
He's actually, in reality a really really fine coach. No, No,
he was just like he was just a d bag.
Like that's all. Yeah, you know, it's cool. I know,
I know why he was, Like, I know why he
had to be, but he just didn't have to be.
But he was, and and and so I judge him
(10:07):
based on I do the same. I feel the same
way about Joe Gibbs. I feel the same exact way
about any of those coaches.
Speaker 1 (10:13):
Gibbs, Yeah, and the coach to the second, the second
Joe Gibbs. I know a lot of people are like,
well the first one, like yeah, I don't have anything
to say about that one, because we ever get your
mount rushmore though, Ya, Come on, I gave you three,
Vin Diesel. You know he's not a coach.
Speaker 2 (10:30):
Got to be coaches, great skin.
Speaker 1 (10:32):
That's right, he's not a coach. I don't I don't know.
I gave you three. You know, what do you want
from me?
Speaker 2 (10:38):
I mean, I just figured there might be a fourth
that we could throw in there.
Speaker 1 (10:42):
I gave you guys three, that's okay. Yeah, you have
to be determined. You have to be determined. Gave my
conspiracy theory. Bout let's go how about how about how
about day ball? Let's go with dayball? All right?
Speaker 2 (10:56):
Yeah, I can see way to be inclusive.
Speaker 1 (10:58):
Var Yeah, job diverse. But he's like he again, thank
you from all of us.
Speaker 2 (11:06):
Way to wait, way to check a boxer, LeVar.
Speaker 1 (11:08):
We appreciate it on this.
Speaker 5 (11:11):
You know, I like to make sure I do include everyone.
Speaker 1 (11:14):
You know what I mean? Hey from from Sam Kitsas team,
thank you. I always say Sam's last name wrong.
Speaker 2 (11:21):
All right, let's uh, you got a conspiracy theory.
Speaker 1 (11:24):
Oh we have had music for this. Yeah, okay, there
it is. It came in there.
Speaker 6 (11:31):
Now.
Speaker 1 (11:31):
Who does this music make you think of?
Speaker 2 (11:32):
Jonas Robert Stack?
Speaker 1 (11:35):
What's he wearing?
Speaker 2 (11:36):
Trench coat?
Speaker 1 (11:37):
Okay? So picture LeVar in this case in a trench coat?
All right? And LeVar has brought to my attention something
and when talking about Taylor Swift, because if you think
about it, last week when the Chiefs took on the
Bears in Kansas City, who broadcasted that game?
Speaker 2 (11:57):
Oh it was fox It was Foxy.
Speaker 1 (11:59):
And last night Sunday Night Football, who broadcasted that game?
Speaker 2 (12:05):
NBC.
Speaker 1 (12:07):
So my conspiracy theory is this, if indeed this is
the NFL behind the scenes orchestrating doing all they can
to try to grow their viewership and fan base, CBS
gets a crack at this thing. Oh, you're right, Maybe
even ESPN gets a crack at this thing. ABC. I'm
(12:29):
just saying, if I was a TV network and this
was going on behind the scenes, and I'm paying millions
upon millions of dollars a year, I want a piece
of the ratings. I want a piece of this. I
all have to share equally, that'd be my dispute.
Speaker 5 (12:45):
I mean, I agree with you.
Speaker 2 (12:46):
Great point.
Speaker 3 (12:47):
Because also they've got a CBS game coming up this
next week at Minnesota and after that, after that it's
a Thursday game on Prime Video.
Speaker 5 (12:58):
I don't know that she'll be at that one.
Speaker 2 (13:00):
Why was?
Speaker 4 (13:01):
But what I will say to you on this is
how I knew it was. It's it's definitely agreed upon.
For one, there's too many mentions. We're in, we're in.
We're in this business right, like some people may not understand,
like live mentions and stuff like that. Every time they
mentioned Taylor Swift, that is considered to be a live mention.
(13:22):
So so, how much do you think, like if they
were to live mentioned Midas or live mentioned five guys
or you know, live mentioned Progressive or Graduate hotels, how.
Speaker 1 (13:33):
Much we're being paid for that? Did you like that?
I'm glad you got a couple of arts in the Yeah, right,
I had to had to come back to who's paying
our bills? Those are that that's money? And then and
then and then it comes clear in one of the
parts where they're talking about her. Then they started they
(13:56):
did a full advertisement like, oh, Taylor Swift in Times Square,
She's like on on like, who knows how.
Speaker 5 (14:03):
Much that that visual billboard.
Speaker 1 (14:05):
Is in the middle of Times Square and then they
do an entire, an entire advertisement on I guess her,
her music, her concerts. We get that. Yeah, it hasn't
usually beneficial because it is it is. I don't listen
to Taylor Swift music. It's no disrespect to her. My
(14:27):
girls do so when I'm listening to it, it's literally
a byproduct of my three girls love listener and music.
That's it. My wife doesn't listen to it.
Speaker 5 (14:36):
I don't.
Speaker 1 (14:36):
It's only when our kids are there. And so I
understand from the NFL standpoint, if this is truly something
they're doing behind the scenes to try to grow this
and but those people aren't tuning in to watch the game.
They're too it doesn't matter, you're just it's like any
sort of brand, you're just trying to introduce them. I
totally agree. I totally agree, because I wonder if it
(14:59):
works both ways. Like I wonder if there's enough people
or a guy who will check out a Taylor Swift
song now purely because she's been following Travis Kelce, Like
I might understand the NFL's objective, and I understand how
she would be compensated from it. But I wonder if
her team, her people are like, hey, this might be
good for you too to grow your fan base, because
(15:22):
over a billion. When you gross that in a tour,
you kind of hit your ceiling, right, Like, how much
more popular have you can Taylor Swift ultimately get unless
she's able to grow and have even a greater reach
to people who aren't necessarily tuning in for that or
aren't necessarily fans. There's a lot of NFL folks who
are like, yeah, like this is our space, Like you
(15:44):
don't need to invade our space with what you do,
because we want it to be offended.
Speaker 4 (15:49):
I really did after the first quarter and every single
break they mentioned Taylor Swift going to the break every
single break, I wanted to be offended.
Speaker 1 (16:02):
And then I'm just sitting there thinking like, why would
I be offended that we're being force fed Taylor Swift?
Like they're selling jerseys. They said, they said, what what
Kelsey's jersey went four hundred percent up? They say he
got nine all those numbers, every he's gotten like over
eight hundred thousand followers. Now Jersey nine hundred is nine
(16:25):
hundred thousand followers. And then and then on top of that,
then they started selling an entirely different jersey that wasn't
a Kelsea jersey. It's a it's a Chelsea number with
Swifty on the back like it's it's I mean, it's
brilliant what they did. And I would say, if I'm
Taylor Swift, I want residuals. I need residuals from that.
(16:49):
I need a group license and agreement on on what's
going on?
Speaker 2 (16:52):
Is she any relation to DeAndre? You guys are no.
Speaker 1 (16:56):
Better than me. He had a good game yesterday.
Speaker 3 (16:59):
Okay, I was just looking for answers here. I'm trying
to get to the bar. I'm trying to get why
we should care about it.
Speaker 5 (17:04):
They might be distant cousins.
Speaker 1 (17:06):
I don't know. I feel like I could go down.
I could. I could feel like that could take a
heart right left. Joice is the guy that like rips
a fart in the middle of the dance floor at
a reception of a wedding and stops the music. And
I just tell you, guys, can I just tell you guys,
speaking of that stops the music? I was, I was.
Speaker 4 (17:25):
I was at a bar in State College and I
ripped one at the bar, and I just didn't think
anybody would catch on to it because there was food
and a whole lot of conversations and stuff like that.
And one of my homies looked at me and he
tapped me on my shoulder.
Speaker 1 (17:40):
He was like, bro, I looked at him, look if
you know, if you know me and you know me
in public, like I'm like poker face.
Speaker 5 (17:50):
So I look at him. He goes, bro, like, what's up?
Speaker 1 (17:54):
Man? I look at him. I was like, what's up? Bro?
He's like, did you do that? I was like, where
are you talking about? Do what? He's like, dude, did
you do that? Then the one dude, my one guy goes,
it smells like eggs in here. Man. I turned back around.
I turned back around like nothing happened. And I turned
(18:15):
back around like after like five minutes, like after the
initial horribleness of it passed through, and I looked at him.
I was like, yeah, I did it. It was me.
It was me. It was me.
Speaker 4 (18:27):
It was bad too. I smelled it too. It was
I smelled it. And I was like, I did not
expect for it to be that bad, but it was.
Speaker 1 (18:35):
It was that bad.
Speaker 2 (18:36):
So no judgment here.
Speaker 1 (18:39):
There's that man, but you know what, you know, it
happens so that that that made me think of it.
So thanks for reminding me.
Speaker 3 (18:45):
Well, listen, it is two pros and a cup of yo.
Here on Fox Sports Radio. It's LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn.
Speaker 1 (18:52):
Jonas, DeAndre Swift.
Speaker 2 (18:53):
Thing man, you just wanted to make sure trying to
trying to get to the bottom of this stuff.
Speaker 1 (18:58):
All right. You do know that people took on the
last names, you know, could you know that could have
been what it is? You know?
Speaker 2 (19:06):
Yeah, I wasn't trying to take it that all right.
Speaker 1 (19:08):
You know I didn't really think that far ahead. I mean,
you did kind of open up that door though. Jonas
he does that every time he makes a comment. He
thinks it's like, hell, this is be good.
Speaker 4 (19:17):
They're like, that's what I just figured out, Like, you know,
what is that called sub diffuse? I just figured out
like hit it with a difference.
Speaker 2 (19:23):
Okay, I'm sorry, Lee, geez.
Speaker 5 (19:26):
Guys, guys, I'll take it to leroy.
Speaker 3 (19:28):
H all right, So coming up next here, distract. Coming
up next here from the tire rack dot Com Studios,
we are going to discuss the top the top of
the league, because it's been established who the top of
the league is in the NFL, and we'll get into
that for you here on FSR.
Speaker 6 (19:46):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern, three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 3 (20:00):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe, Fox Sports Radio,
LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you here coming
up a little over fifteen minutes from now from the
tire rack dot Com studios. We are going to close
up shop here on a Monday morning with another edition
of You In or You Out, And it's yours here
again about fifteen minutes from now here on FSR. But
atop the NFL, we've got two undefeated teams. We've got
(20:26):
the Eagles and we've got the Niners, and it feels
like they are slowly pulling away from the rest of
the conference and establishing themselves as the best teams in
the league. Philly's been in some close situations this year. Yesterday,
Washington just plays them tough like Washington did this last year.
Levar's team, the old Commandos did this last year where
(20:49):
they beat Philly on Monday night, broke their undefeated streak
and their perfect season. And then yesterday it took overtime,
but it was Jake Elliott on a fIF fifty four
yard field goal and the Eagles survived that one. But
it does appear that much like last year, we're looking
at Philly and San Francisco, maybe Dallas is on the
(21:10):
outside looking in. There's still some skeptics there as far
as the NFC goes, and who's high atop the national
the NFC conference there as we had who.
Speaker 1 (21:18):
Skeptic the Cowboys? Who's the skeptic of the Cowboys?
Speaker 2 (21:21):
Well, I mean, LeVar hasn't been very fond of the
Dallas Cowboys.
Speaker 1 (21:25):
It's I'm still not in. He's not a believer. I'm
still not in. I mean not in as in what
capacity the capacity of them winning a Super Bowl, getting
to the Super Bowl. They've got a one and thirty
two chance of that. I mean, I mean, I think
(21:45):
it's not that's not that far fetch to say. But
I mean you you you do believe they're a playoff team, right?
Speaker 5 (21:50):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (21:50):
That make the playoffs? Sure? Okay, how far they'll go.
Speaker 5 (21:54):
I don't.
Speaker 1 (21:55):
I don't know that they'll make it out of the
first round of the playoffs.
Speaker 5 (21:59):
I'm just skeptical, level, I just am and I say
it every week. Why I am.
Speaker 1 (22:04):
I'm skeptical of their offense. I'm skeptical of their quarterback
and they're O line I am, I just am.
Speaker 2 (22:11):
Well, they're going to do something that's never been done before.
Speaker 1 (22:13):
And what's that? What's that?
Speaker 3 (22:15):
They're going to be rock party on Sunday night football,
that's what they're going. Wow, he hadn't lost a game yet.
Speaker 1 (22:20):
Yeah, he's a machine out there right now, just operating
the offense, doesn't make mistakes, makes the throws been called upon.
Speaker 4 (22:28):
You know that as Dak Prescott about them beating them
last year, you know, it's like, oh, you guys are
trying to piss me off already, like that was so
long ago.
Speaker 2 (22:38):
Is that how it sounds?
Speaker 6 (22:40):
No?
Speaker 5 (22:40):
Not really.
Speaker 1 (22:42):
How does he sound? I don't really know how he
I know how he sounds. I don't know that I
could off the top of my head, like hear how
he sounds in my head to try to sound like him. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (22:54):
Yeah, the Niners are rolling though, and Dad.
Speaker 5 (22:57):
They're really good man, they're they're real and they're so balanced.
Speaker 1 (23:03):
The pay cover or is that the worst beat of
the weekend. I mean, my goodness, exerts Earth drops the
ball that's easily a touchdown to cover. Then you have
Hollywood Brownie drops the subsequent play. I mean, I just
it's funny to me, only because you know, I'll follow
this stuff and we do picks and all that I did.
(23:24):
It's not like I have money on the game or anything,
but I just go, wow, I could see how people
would be so upset if you had the Cardinals covering
the two touchdowns spread or taking the points, because right there,
like two plays, two opportunities at the end of the game,
you are like standing there, hanging on to every last
threat of that game, and you think you've got it,
(23:45):
and then two basically drops if you will and and
you lose.
Speaker 3 (23:51):
I just well, I mean, there's you know, some get back.
You know, if you're pissed off at the the Niners
for covering that and that fourteen points, you know you
little get back. Maybe next week the Dallas Cowboys.
Speaker 1 (24:03):
You guys, Dallas will win this game, Yes you do.
I don't know yet. I want to see what happens.
To your point about the offensive line. I want to
see if the Tyron Smith comes back. I mean Bland
played well, Like not that they don't miss a guy
like Treyvon Diggs, but he's the guy who stepped in
replace of him. He played well at the cornerback spot.
(24:24):
So they got a shot. I mean, look, those are
to me, those are two of the top teams in
the NFC, you know, out of the top four or five. Yeah,
I don't disagree with that, but that's not I mean
I feel like, what's the line on the game right now?
Speaker 2 (24:40):
On DraftKings Cowboys are getting three?
Speaker 1 (24:43):
They're getting three?
Speaker 5 (24:44):
Yeah, on the road they'll cover that.
Speaker 1 (24:49):
You think they will three? Who's San Francisco? Yeah, I
don't know, Yeah they will. I don't know. I might
take the points there.
Speaker 3 (25:00):
I mean, it's gonna be the best defense Rock Party's
dealt with him playing.
Speaker 1 (25:05):
That is one of the things that I think if
you really want to be you know, detailed on how
you're analyzing what he's done so far, because he's been incredible,
is it's not like it's been Murderer's row of defenses.
So it kind of lends you to think, all right, like,
how will he handle the first test? But it is
at home. Now, what I'm curious to see is what
that crowd looks like. Like if you're gonna have a
(25:25):
bunch of Cowboys fans out there for that game.
Speaker 2 (25:27):
Oh, it'll be fifty fifty least, you don't put it
this way.
Speaker 1 (25:30):
I was shocked, you know, for two zero to three
teams this past week, that crowd in Carolina was fifty
percent Vikings fans. There's this big drum that they have, right,
they all have the mantra keep pounding. In Carolina, they
started hitting like the players like for Minnesota. When they
started hitting the drum, they started doing the skull chant
(25:51):
to their fans, you know that big clap thing they do, right,
and there was so many Vikings fans there they started
literally doing the clap that they do. And then the
Carolina like mascot and people that were down in the field,
they stopped hitting the drum because they realized what, like,
what was happening. I've never seen anything like that in
the NFL stadiums nuts.
Speaker 2 (26:09):
But by the way I noticed the is it is
it Bank of America Stadium.
Speaker 1 (26:13):
It is, But it's not like an NFL sponsor, so
they usually don't know rightly.
Speaker 3 (26:17):
Well, Like I noticed they were showing one of the
one of the camera shots they came back from break
the skyline in the backdrop of that stadium in Charlotte.
Speaker 2 (26:25):
Man, that looks like a nice place. I've never it is.
Speaker 1 (26:27):
It's right downtown too, so it's like perfectly situated for
fans and so forth.
Speaker 5 (26:31):
So cool, awesome.
Speaker 4 (26:33):
You guys said, it's not like Purdy has faced any
real competition murderers, row murderers on defense, will we say
that Dallas has.
Speaker 1 (26:45):
No But that doesn't change the point, right It's more
of like, if you're wondering how Perty's gonna play versus
the Cowboys defense based on how good he's been, Like,
Party's obviously played better than Dak so far this year,
So I think the points it's more of, hey, how
does pretty play versus you know, this defense, considering he's
been lights out so far and this is the first
(27:05):
probably true test he has.
Speaker 4 (27:07):
I'm gonna add to the point of how will Dak
play against this forty nine ers defense? Sure you know
will and how will the Dallas Cowboys defense fair against
an offense as is balanced with I mean We've made
this a point to talk about during the show, which
I think is something that really is grossly under discussed
(27:29):
and undercovered.
Speaker 1 (27:31):
Is it well?
Speaker 5 (27:32):
Play calling?
Speaker 1 (27:33):
Well talk about it, Like Shanahan and dan Quinn have
a lot of experience though this because way back to
their days when dan Quinn was in Seattle with the Seahawks.
But by the way, caffrey should be up more for
the MVP conversation. No one's given anyone outside of quarterbacks love.
But McCaffrey was bawling, of course, like he's he on
(27:53):
that that right now? You know today, Look, they had
something in his locker for him to get tested after
the game because he is snapping right now.
Speaker 3 (28:03):
You guys are also kind of bearing the lead here
when it comes to this matchup next Sunday night. But no,
I'm saying you're bearing the lead in the sense now,
how are we burying it? I mean, because you don't
think Trey Lance is going to provide some intel. You know,
you don't think Trey Lance is going to talk with
the Dallas Cowboys and say, all right, this is what
Kyle Shannan likes to do.
Speaker 1 (28:23):
This is where we're at the way I mean, how
worried was Brian Schottenheimer about that? And then they beat
the dors That breaks off of the Patriots. It's like
all that conversation leading up to it and it wasn't
even close. All right, Yeah, I don't I don't see
that being an issue, to be honest. It's ination Kyle
(28:44):
Shanahan calls games. You could know.
Speaker 4 (28:47):
You know the one thing about his dad, You knew
what he was running. It's just the way he called
the plays, the rhythm of how he called the plays,
the way the players believe. See what you have going
on in San Francisco is you got to a group
of guys that are having a ton of fun playing
the game together, and they subscribe and they buy into
(29:07):
what Cayle Shanahan has built. Culturally speaking, If you want
to look at culturally speaking, what is a healthy team
and healthy environment and and.
Speaker 1 (29:16):
What looks good?
Speaker 4 (29:18):
I would say San fran and Philly, which interestingly enough
are your two best teams, you know, and in the
NFC and possibly in the league.
Speaker 1 (29:27):
So are we gonna break down Brandon Staley at some
point I know we had on the rundown. We don't
talk about this or we just aviated about the Cowboys
and so.
Speaker 2 (29:38):
But we got to this.
Speaker 1 (29:39):
Staley is on a different team though, isn't that the Chargers. Yeah,
it's on the rundown.
Speaker 3 (29:44):
Yeah, but I mean we uh you know, we're we're
up against it, so we got to make this pretty quick.
Speaker 2 (29:50):
Uh, what is your problem with Brandon Staley having a
little bit of confidence.
Speaker 1 (29:54):
Because that's clearly what Q wants to get to.
Speaker 3 (29:56):
Well, just like I to understand, like, what's the problem
with Brandon Staley wanting to roll the dice and have
some fun and go for it on fourth down?
Speaker 1 (30:02):
Again, that's never gotten in trouble before. No, you know
what's funny? And then go back and watch this clip
when you see the Assante Samuel interception. Did you see
where Brandon Staley was and what he did get down?
He told him to get down, And I'm like, no, dude,
you don't like they could stop the clock and get
the ball back. So fortunately, like two weeks in a
(30:23):
row now, the charges offense has bailed out Brandon Staey. Obviously,
the Herbert deep completion to Palmers like sealed the deal.
But in that instance, You're like, no, like they were
still going to get the ball back at some point
if the offense wasn't able to get a couple first
downs to move the football. So again, that's one of
(30:44):
the many decisions that like flies under the radar. But
go back and look at that where Brandon Staley like
runs down, puts his hands up, tells him to get down,
and everyone's caught up into big play and as Santa
Samuel run on the sideline. Meanwhile, it was poorly coached
in that instance as far as the situational awareness that
they were probably still gonna be able to get the
(31:04):
ball back if they got to stop, if the charges
couldn't move the ball and get a first down. So again,
Luckily they've got Herbert who's an absolute stud. The defense
build him out last week, the offense did this week.
Speaker 3 (31:14):
It is two pros and a cup of Joe. Here annow,
it's time for the progressive play of the day, play

Speaker 3 (31:28):
Thirty twenty five, twenty head it to the end zone, touchdown,
step on.

They're just not funny anymore. I watched j IF at
least at least Jimmy Kimmel got a Bowl game out

Speaker 2 (34:20):
All right, guys, is the future?
Speaker 1 (34:23):
In other words, does not look right for the bult?
Speaker 2 (34:25):
All right, National Name your Car day? Do you guys
name your cars?
Speaker 1 (34:30):
No? No, no, no, Although, oh this is douchey. But
when I I did have a Tesla and that like
that gives you an option to name your car, And
so I did that vehicle because it like it was
in the computer. What did you name Panda?
Speaker 6 (34:51):
Why?
Speaker 1 (34:52):
Okay, So this is the backstory. It was it was
black and white and then the first saw I heard
they like it was like that when they when they
give you a tesla. There's like it was like a
presentation to it. So they had the doors open, They're
blasting the song Panda by Designer. So I was like, oh,
I'll just call it that.
Speaker 2 (35:11):
Okay, it makes sense.
Speaker 1 (35:12):
Yeah, it is still douchey, but it was one hundred
percent douchey. But like when they first showed me the car,
I was like, oh, it looks pretty sweet. And then
it was like they were like blasting that music. I
was like, that's a nice sound system.
Speaker 4 (35:24):
I mean, to the point, I would have did the
same exact thing that did. I would have made the
same exact decision like that, I'm call it Panda.
Speaker 1 (35:31):
The irony is I actually got the car from my wife,
thinking that she would like it because it's like, you know,
kind of hands free and stuff you can do. And
after like three times driving, she's like, Nope, don't want it.
So I was stuck with it.
Speaker 2 (35:43):
Like hers, Yeah, good for her.
Speaker 1 (35:45):
Yeah, and she took my car, which you know, standard
practice in marriage. Okay, well you got.
Speaker 5 (35:53):
Lead, yeah come on Lee, Yeah, well touch that.
Speaker 8 (35:56):
One October second and it's Brady's favorite segments. Birthday to
Mohammed Gandhi and mister Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner.

Speaker 2 (36:07):
Yeah? He he goes, he going.
Speaker 8 (36:10):
Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner turned seventy two, better known as Sting.
Speaker 1 (36:14):
Okay, all right, all right, how old? I can see
what shortened that name? It's a long name.
Speaker 8 (36:20):
Yeah, turned seventy two today.
Speaker 5 (36:23):
About how old one hundred he did?
Speaker 6 (36:28):
