Speaker 4 (00:59):
An unmatched selection in fast free shipping Free Road has
a protection and over ten thousand recommended installers tirerac dot
com the way tire buying should be. So we opened
up the show talking about the game yesterday. It looked
like it was going to be a fun, tight contest
between the Niners and the Eagles, and instead it turned
into an ass whooping and the San Francisco forty nine

(01:20):
ers put it on Philadelphia in Philadelphia to their room. Yeah,
and now the odds have been adjusted, and Brady, you
made mention of this that you think San Francisco is
the best team in the NFL. And the Super Bowl
odds are out, and according to our friends at DraftKings,
the forty nine Ers are now the favorite to win
the Super Bowl. They're at a plus three to twenty,

(01:42):
followed by the cheap where the Eagles at plus five
point fifty, and then you've got Kansas City and others
falling in line. But it did feel like yesterday could
have been a separation situation in the NFC with Dallas
lurking for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
Next week, separation situation, separation Sunday.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
If you will. Since one Jonahs knocks exposed, LeVar, do.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
You ever see those like the power rankings stuff like
I have to do some stuff with that. Pete Prisco
puts out his power rankings. Jonas knows how. I'm just like,
I don't get it. Yeah, I'm not sure why we
have to do this every week, but anyway we do it.
So he he last week had affiliate number one, which
obviously you could justify because the record, and he had
Dallas at two and I was like, wait a second,

(02:26):
what are we doing here. San Francisco, I believe was
four and they'd beat Dallas already had to head. And
I'm like, well, what's your justification? How do you have
Dallas's and they're playing better football. I was like, well,
San Francisco is playing better football. He goes, they lost
three in a row. I go, okay, they were. They
were hurt when they lost three in a row. He's like,
Dallas was to hurt this year. I was like, okay, Pete, Pete,

(02:48):
I was like, look, I don't know what to tell
you this. I apparently had the head doesn't matter in
this case because it was earlier in the season.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
What have you?

Speaker 1 (02:57):
You now have an examp example, concrete reason why he
can he has to put San Francisco at the top
of his power rankings, as should anyone else who's watched
this team when they have been healthy. And I know
that's an if right as we go through the rest
of the regular season playoffs, they're the best team in
the NFL. They have one of the best coaches in
the NFL, they have one of the best rosters in

(03:18):
the NFL, and they have a quarterback who's playing at
a high level that's surrounded by all pros. And this
is a group that I think is going to be
able to win a super Bowl unless they get struck
with a bunch.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
Of injuries down the stretch. Like that's just that's where
we're at.

Speaker 5 (03:35):
It's the best team in the NFL, because I thought
that the Philadelphia Eagles were the best team in the
NFL as well, And I don't know out of the AFC,
which again we have constantly talked about thinking that the
AFC was going to be a vastly more superior conference.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
It's been disappointing.

Speaker 5 (03:56):
It's yeah, I mean, there's been some teams that have
been stepping up again and have been emerging, but to.

Speaker 6 (04:05):
Say best in the league.

Speaker 5 (04:08):
I mean, I think they're all in the NFC right
now now, I would go with Sam Fran number one.
I would still put put Philly at number two, but
we're going to find out very quickly if it's Philly
or if it's Dallas, because they're about the law horns,
like like the big Mooses. If you missed it, make
sure you check us out on the Two Pros and

(04:29):
a Cup of Joe podcasts. So we talked about moose
fighting earlier. I mean, it's going to be a moose
fight between Dallas and Philly to see who can grab
that second spot. And then I think, I think you
gotta look at seriously, and I'm talking both conferences, all divisions.
I think that Detroit is number number four. I really do.

(04:53):
I think Detroit is the fourth team. I think the
top four teams right now in the National Football League
are all in the NFC.

Speaker 4 (05:00):
That's what I would say. How the hell was Detroit?
How did they let New Orleans back in that game? Like,
I don't like it looked like it was just going
to be a wipeout. Next thing, you know, they're up five, Well,
it's what are we doing here?

Speaker 2 (05:12):
Well?

Speaker 1 (05:12):
It was kind of like as unlucky as you could get,
or it felt like the way that game started for
Detroit could have started at me better.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
So, yeah, they were blowing them.

Speaker 5 (05:22):
I think it's more that that they started cruising. And
sometimes you can start cruising and then somebody starts to
catch you, but your kick isn't as good at that point,
and then they just really are catching you and you
just got to try.

Speaker 6 (05:34):
To hold on. Sometimes you gotta win games that way.

Speaker 4 (05:36):
But so Jacksonville is going to be featured on Monday
Night later on against Cincinnati, and that's a team that
is in contention for the one sinati.

Speaker 3 (05:45):
Yeah, and if you just.

Speaker 4 (05:47):
Go back to Cincinnati right now, Miami is the one
seed in the AFC as it stands currently. And I
look at Miami and I go, they're kind of like
Dallas in that who they really beaten. Like, I mean,
they've piled up and stacked wins against bad teams.

Speaker 6 (06:05):
Finally got a win. Yes, they finally got one good win.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
But yeah, yeah, but we didn't talk about the fact
that Seattle in those uniforms too.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
It's a great win. I mean they ball in those uniforms.

Speaker 4 (06:17):
Listen, if they go back to the craft they normally wear,
it's a disgrace to a Jersey attire everything.

Speaker 5 (06:23):
They could have beat Dallas. It was that good of
a game. I mean, they could have a game, could
have gone either way, and they found a way to
pull it out.

Speaker 4 (06:30):
So and they're the nine and they're the nine seed
in the NFC right now. That's what I'm saying, Like,
I just I don't know that that's necessarily as good
a win as maybe we thought it was coming into
the season if you looked at it projecting where Seattle was,
Because there's some of us on this show that had
Seattle winning the NFC West. Some of us did make
that pick here on the air and reckless pick. It

(06:53):
wouldn't have been a reckless pick, though, pretty bad pick.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
Why are you putting yourself, Jonas?

Speaker 3 (06:57):
Yeah, it's being accountable.

Speaker 5 (06:59):
It could have been a good pick. It's possible could
have been a good pick. I mean, you know, the
forty nine ers could have stayed banged up. They happened
to get healthy, and they happen to get healthy back
at the right time, and they're playing playing some some
really really fine football.

Speaker 6 (07:15):
I mean, it's matchup football at its best.

Speaker 4 (07:17):
It feels like in the NFC, the interesting portion of
the conference is at the top of the playoff picture
in the AFC, it's the opposite. Because what Houston's doing,
How about Minshew mania. He's got Indy in a playoff
spot right now. They're playing pretty good, man, they're playing
well on defense.

Speaker 2 (07:36):
Mustache.

Speaker 5 (07:37):
Yeah, it was dancing like a mo fo up in
that locker room. Boy, he was turning it out. He
was turning it all for. He was standing on business
up in there.

Speaker 6 (07:45):
You know what I mean.

Speaker 7 (07:46):
Yeah, Like, I know Q likes that that's saying, you know,
so I just figured i'd give it to him, you know. Yeah,
Dardner Minshew out there on Sunday serving them up standing
on business, baby.

Speaker 5 (07:58):
Standing all business, the booming.

Speaker 4 (08:04):
You know, the Cleveland Browns had Joe Flacco starting to
quarter and he looked good for two seconds.

Speaker 6 (08:10):
Man, there we go.

Speaker 3 (08:11):
And then you know the l A Rams.

Speaker 4 (08:19):
And then you've got outside of your your four divisional leaders,
you've got Levar's Pittsburgh Steelers.

Speaker 1 (08:25):
Who did they well, they lost picket and they get
that fourth down and like the game was over.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
They just they couldn't overcome that. I think the defense
got all excited because man, we can move the ball,
we can mix them and then let's like go wait,
pickets out.

Speaker 5 (08:40):
That's a wake up with your bitch. Bitch sheets uh
bright yellow in the morning time. Two or three weather
delays two there were two and one was extended. They
extended into the afternoon afternoon.

Speaker 2 (08:56):
Was it lightning?

Speaker 6 (08:57):
They had to have been lightning for it to be that.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
In the year.

Speaker 5 (09:03):
Yeah, because it's time for snow, right.

Speaker 4 (09:06):
Maybe they ran out of all you know, maybe uh
they were looking for some tourt off.

Speaker 5 (09:10):
There was a couple which which which game was that
where the rain was so like it was coming down.
Then there was like particles coming down like they were
like like like snowballs coming down.

Speaker 6 (09:23):
Man.

Speaker 5 (09:24):
Like there was one game was it the Was it
the Tampa Bay game? It was the Tampa Bay game Carolina. Yeah,
it was like it was like regular rain and then
they get do a different angle. Then you see like
little like meteors, like pieces of fragments from meteors coming down.

Speaker 2 (09:40):
Man.

Speaker 4 (09:40):
By the way, Mike Evans ten straight years over a
thousand yards and it's incredible.

Speaker 5 (09:44):
Man, he got flagged though. Were trying to get that.
He's he's slowing down. You could tell he's getting older.
He got he got ran down by by defensive back
on that one play they got him.

Speaker 6 (09:54):
On like what the two three yard line?

Speaker 5 (09:56):
You wouldn't have been able to catch him like two
three years ago they got him. He's a Hall of Famer.
I mean, statistical category, you can't. You can't how you
keep him out.

Speaker 4 (10:06):
Because one more because Jerry Rice was the only other
one that UH and what was the eleven straight years
Jerry Rice did to start off his career going a
thousand a thousand yards in each season, So Mike Evans
has won away from that. But I mean he's a
guy that you know, they couldn't work out a long
term deal with. So it looks like he's going to
be available if anybody wants to UH to sign a

(10:28):
quality veteran wide receiver in the off season if he
doesn't stay in Tampa Bay. So and then the Carolina
Panthers are I mean, somehow they kept that game within
the number, which is just disgusting that they had no
business keeping that game within the number and they score
on that two point.

Speaker 1 (10:43):
Man, I had an awful week with my picks, so
I can't say anything.

Speaker 6 (10:47):
I mean, you have picks today, do we?

Speaker 5 (10:49):
I think I got like two right, we don't do
that today, do we that that happens? What Thursday Friday?
We do our pick Fridays. We got our pics against
we got until then.

Speaker 3 (10:58):
Yeah, got to tabulate, you know, I got to put
those together.

Speaker 5 (11:02):
I will say there were some very very interesting games,
just some very interesting games that took place this weekend
in the National Football League, because again you're seeing a
trend where there are teams that clearly are hitting in
the direction of emerging as as a team, and then

(11:25):
there are some teams that are kind of in flux.
They're not going up, but they're kind of slowly seemingly
going down, but they could possibly go back up. You
just don't know.

Speaker 3 (11:37):
The Jets picked up some speed going down.

Speaker 5 (11:39):
Yes, they picked up a little bit of velocity.

Speaker 4 (11:43):
By the way, if Rogers was planning on coming back
for competitive games, that'll do it.

Speaker 6 (11:53):
Are trending up, No One, the cheese kick and ball man.

Speaker 3 (12:02):
Hey, so he went into halftime with that shoulder injury,
and he came back and.

Speaker 6 (12:06):
Back out ball What do you think? It's weird? Baller?

Speaker 5 (12:09):
What happened balling? Yeah, they had to just take him
into back and give him one of them more baller
pills and then he came back out balling. No, it
was that, you know, that was the juices of the
gods man popped in pow. He was ready to go
name oh man. Well he's gonna fill it today. He

(12:32):
felt good last night, probably even got a good because
they probably gave him like a little little little oxy
or a little little you know, a little something. Yeah,
they gave him a little something to go home with.
They gave him a couple of pills to go home with.
He probably went to sleep real well, he's gonna hurt
this morning. Gave some little oxy cotton.

Speaker 2 (12:54):
He's not lying. I mean, he's a little pain kill.

Speaker 4 (12:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (12:58):
Yeah, you're gonna have a little cock till after a
game like that.

Speaker 6 (13:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (13:02):
Uh, you know, I just I look at like I
thought Kyler Murray. Kyler Murray may have in my estimation,
we brought up Pittsburgh. Kyler Murray clearly is a difference maker.
This is a different team when they have him. They're
not drafting a quarterback. If he keeps this up, They're

(13:23):
gonna take Marvin Harrison Junior if they're.

Speaker 6 (13:25):
I mean, why not? Why not? Hollywood? And Marvin? Why not?

Speaker 5 (13:33):
And and and you got Connor in the backfield. You
you can shore up your your offensive line. You could
do a couple of things with your defense, and that
team is right back in in the mix of being
a competitive team.

Speaker 4 (13:45):
And as as he distances himself from the a cl injury,
which is still under a year, he's only going to
get better.

Speaker 6 (13:52):
Right, dude.

Speaker 5 (13:52):
Be his legs move like Shaggy and Scooby when they
running away from ghosts. I've never seen a dude's legs
move so fast when they're running and his and his
upper body doesn't move. It's just his legs. It's the
wildest thing I've ever seen. Bro. Yeah, he moves so quickly.

(14:18):
It's so quick. It's gotta be nerve racking to be
a defender. And you start seeing him move, it's weird.
I don't know, like he's it's ye.

Speaker 1 (14:27):
I was gonna say it's he's so twitchy. I would
just I mean, he makes people look silly in the
open field.

Speaker 5 (14:34):
I'll be nervous dog, you know all I'd be thinking
to myself trying to get in front of him.

Speaker 2 (14:41):
Oh I forgot, did you guys? See?

Speaker 1 (14:44):
I felt so bad for this man. There was a
gentleman who was I don't know if he like what
exactly he was like a sideline officials. Yes, Yankee, I
saw that.

Speaker 2 (14:55):
Happen in real time. We were watching that game. I'm like,
oh no.

Speaker 1 (14:58):
I was like that, dude, is that that's that's not
right and you could hear him screaming and then they
delayed the game for like ten minutes.

Speaker 5 (15:05):
Dislocated is when I said, oh, geez it located in
the wrong way. That that whole New New England get
your running start motion to go block is now a
thing because that's how that Tennessee Titans uh punter got
his knee jacked up.

Speaker 4 (15:23):
Also, Oh, and I was gonna ask you this, So
Tannehill comes in to hold the extra point they miss
missed point which would have given him. Yeah, Brady, did
you ever get called in to have to do emergency holding?

Speaker 8 (15:36):
No?

Speaker 2 (15:36):
Thank god, I told you.

Speaker 1 (15:38):
Man, Like I used to like be the backup in
college and then you get the NFL when they're like,
all right.

Speaker 2 (15:45):
Do you uh do you know how to hold them?

Speaker 1 (15:46):
Like, yeah, I know what a hole I used to
hold high school and all stuff, And man, they were
like really particular.

Speaker 2 (15:51):
I mean, I'm telling you.

Speaker 1 (15:52):
They want that ball with a certain amount of pressure,
a certain tilt for and sideways and all that. You
better be damn good with hitting that spot wherever it's at.

Speaker 2 (16:02):
On the ground.

Speaker 5 (16:02):
Got to hit the spot. And I was like, yep,
a couple of different spots. Yeah, I mean I don't
know that. We got to pause on that one. Go
ahead and play on that one. Stand on business, stand
on business.

Speaker 1 (16:16):
Yeah, but like they're really particular about.

Speaker 2 (16:22):
They're so particular about it. I was just like, yes,
define someone else. I don't want to do this.

Speaker 4 (16:26):
They showed up when they were warming up on the
sideline afterwards, like they're showing Tannehill and they're practicing it
and it looked like a clean spot and Nick folks
like no, no, no, you got to tilt it this way.

Speaker 2 (16:38):
They're like super particular.

Speaker 1 (16:40):
And then as a quarterback, you're like, man, I don't
do this enough to want to like have to do this.

Speaker 3 (16:45):
That would be nerve wracking.

Speaker 2 (16:47):
Man.

Speaker 1 (16:47):
It's a thankless job. Like I was saying this about kickers,
it's a thankless job. People only care about them when
they miss. They never they're very very rarely get excited
about them hitting like a bomb unless it's a clutch
kick holder.

Speaker 2 (17:04):
Yeah, then the holder of the long snapper. No one
ever gives them credit. They're all like loving on the kicker.

Speaker 5 (17:10):
There's a whole lot of sweet spots that I got
to be hit for a field goal or.

Speaker 2 (17:17):
Yeah it's a group. You got to hit all the sweet.

Speaker 5 (17:19):
Spot multiple in one play. Yeah, seez you know what
you get that. It's a whole lot of balance there.
You know, you got to execute it.

Speaker 2 (17:29):
Was a lot of moving parts.

Speaker 5 (17:30):
Yeah, hell yeah, and you got to stick it, stand
on that bit, stand on that bit in it.

Speaker 2 (17:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (17:39):
It is Two Pros and a Cup of Joe.

from them coming up next here at f S.

Speaker 4 (18:45):
You Got Problems Man, Two Pros and a cup of Joe,
Fox Sports Radio, LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with
you here coming up in twenty minutes from now from
the Tirak dot com studios. We're gonna close up shop
here with another edition of You and a U Out
that'll be yours here again twenty minutes from now. But
here we are again another subpar performance by the New

(19:08):
England Patriots, who with the loss to the Chargers yesterday
at what a loss it was, and the Cardinals win.
The Patriots are now holding the two spot in the
upcoming NFL Draft. So it looks like when we thought,
well they've reached rock bottom, Nope, they roll out a
six to nothing diaper fire yesterday at Foxborough. It was

(19:30):
the weather was bad, the offense was worse. They even
tried to bail out the Patriots late in that game.
There was a pass interference called, but it was clearly
tipped at the line of scrimmage. Brandon Staley reviewed it
and still even Jeene Sterotor thought that they were going
to overturn the call and they had to like correct

(19:51):
him and say no, Gene, like they kept with the call.
And it was so I mean, Patriots got plenty of
opportunity with Bailey's appeya quarterback to try and do something. Reminder,
Stevenson went out with the ankle injury, and so afterwards,
you know, Belichick was talking with the media about just
the performance of the team and how everybody played, and
this was the back and forth.

Speaker 1 (20:13):
What do you identify as maybe some of the missteps,
you know that have contributed to the offense not producing
this season.

Speaker 2 (20:20):
I just I just answered that question, Mike. I guess
I'm I'm trying to figure. I'm trying to listen.

Speaker 1 (20:25):
In the season review, we're talking about the game games,
just over happy to talk about the game.

Speaker 10 (20:30):
Went to the decision to start Bailey over Mack.

Speaker 2 (20:33):
I thought I deserted.

Speaker 10 (20:34):
It was this something he did? Or do you feel
as thown Mac hasn't delivered on what you were hoping
to get. Do you feel as though organizationally you've let
Mac down a little bit? Third year, first round quarterback
now on the bench.

Speaker 2 (20:49):
Yeah, he's chop for the best team we can out
there every week.

Speaker 4 (20:53):
So so that was their best looking at six nothing,
And I think the stat was they're the first team
in got close to one hundred years that has held
their opponent to ten points or less in three straight
games and has lost every game. They are terrible. It

(21:16):
might be worse than Carolina. I'm not saying they're a
worse team, but the situation might be worse than it
is in Carolina because at least you think, Okay, well
they just drafted a quarterback, so you know that's gonna
be the guy moving forward?

Speaker 6 (21:29):
Is it there?

Speaker 2 (21:30):
Well?

Speaker 1 (21:30):
I was gonna say, I actually would argue the opposite, like,
if you're not in on Bryce Young, you'd feel more
hopeless because you gave up so much.

Speaker 2 (21:39):
It's not like you're going to replace them.

Speaker 1 (21:41):
So I would say if you're a Newland Patriots fan,
they're just like, well, we're gonna move on and find
a quarterback next year. But it's incredible to see the
way at least their defense and team kind of stays together.

Speaker 2 (21:52):
Because we talked about this before.

Speaker 1 (21:54):
When one side of the ball isn't doing its job,
it wears on the other side, and eventually it comes
to a fracture, to a breaking point. And I would
imagine after this game that's where it's. I mean, weather
played a bit of a factor two in this game.
There's some weather in Foxborough, you know clearly with all
the punts and everything else. But I just tough season, man,

(22:15):
It's a tough season.

Speaker 2 (22:17):
Everything they have going on right now.

Speaker 5 (22:19):
Sure to say the least, and it's it's just like
where where is the bottom? It's like you were having
a hard time trying to figure out where the top
was not too long ago or the Patriots. Now you're
asking the question, Wait that wasn't the bottom.

Speaker 6 (22:41):
Well, hold on, that wasn't rock bottom.

Speaker 4 (22:44):
We'll get the shovel. Because you're at Pittsburgh on a
short week. Then you've got Kansas City, at Denver, at Buffalo,
and you finish with the Jets.

Speaker 5 (22:52):
You know, that doesn't sound as daunting as the season
has war.

Speaker 6 (22:56):
On what it doesn't sound as daunting. I would have
thought it would have.

Speaker 5 (23:01):
It would it would have sounded worse at at some
point during this season. But those those names aren't like,
those aren't daunting names. Let's see, you just named Pittsburgh,
they're shorthanded, just lost. You name Kansas City, they'll they'll
be competitive and play well. They're still a top team,

(23:21):
but still not you know, we had the conversation of.

Speaker 6 (23:24):
Them not being as dominant as.

Speaker 5 (23:26):
They have been historically and and so they just lost
and who would you say after that?

Speaker 3 (23:32):
Then you've got Buffalo, Yeah, Buffalo, Buffalo, that's.

Speaker 6 (23:35):
A ceiling team. Who knows what they're going to be.

Speaker 3 (23:38):
At Denver Christmas Eve.

Speaker 6 (23:40):
I mean, Denver just lost. Didn't they just lose?

Speaker 4 (23:43):
They ain't losing that game though, Patriots have got one
win on their on their skins.

Speaker 5 (23:47):
I'm just saying it's not it's not that daunting of
a test to take each one of those games, one
game at a time and try to salvage somewhat of
what your season could be. I mean, Zappy didn't look bad.
He didn't look terrible out there on Sunday.

Speaker 3 (24:03):
By the way, the total in the Patriots.

Speaker 4 (24:06):
Steelers game, which out game al Michaels is going to
be thrilled with coming up on Thursday, the total is
thirty four.

Speaker 3 (24:13):
And a half.

Speaker 2 (24:14):
No, he's talking about that. I mean I'm already over this. Yeah,
I've figured at records than in the transfer portal. Ooh
quarterback for Ohio State. Yeah, I did not see that coming.

Speaker 5 (24:26):
Wow, it's going to be a couple more interesting ones
that hit that portal.

Speaker 2 (24:29):
Yes, there will be.

Speaker 1 (24:30):
I mean that's the thing is today is the day
where you're going to see a lot of action for
your favorite college team and what's going.

Speaker 6 (24:36):
On because they're not going want to play in that
bowl game.

Speaker 1 (24:40):
Uh, there's that, And I think it's also just that
window where if they want to go somewhere else and
try to have a chance to start next year, you
would transfer out, you find that next opportunity, and then
you got all spring, summer and fall camp to get ready.
That next window to me is it's irrelevant. It really
should go away. There's no reason to have the May window,

(25:02):
given that most high school signis now are coming in
in December into January.

Speaker 2 (25:09):
Some of these kids have been.

Speaker 1 (25:10):
Practicing in bull practices with the team, and for a
lot of these players, they make their mind up in
December where they're going, and in January they hit the
ground running.

Speaker 5 (25:19):
DJ's transferring too now. I feel like he's pulling a
straight hustle move on the whole nil aspect of it.
Almost like he's creating a bidding war or will player
to go into the draft.

Speaker 1 (25:32):
See about this way, you have a team that's no
longer in a Power five, it will be a Power
four next year of conferences.

Speaker 2 (25:40):
Your head coach leaves from Michigan State. I mean, you came.

Speaker 1 (25:44):
There with the expectation that if you played well enough,
maybe you go to the draft or or at least
get a couple of years. And then you find yourself
in a situation where your coach isn't there. It's not
as great of an opportunity as far as what you're
playing in with that.

Speaker 2 (25:59):
Team that university.

Speaker 1 (26:02):
It becomes a tough spot to want to hang around
in that, especially if you're one of the better quarterbacks
that could be in the.

Speaker 6 (26:07):
Transwait, what do you think his free agency value is?

Speaker 2 (26:11):
I don't know. I honestly don't know.

Speaker 1 (26:13):
I mean, I don't I don't pay attention to that stuff.
A lot of these numbers that get thrown out there
get to me overblown compared to what the actual numbers are.
By the way, I'll put it this way. You know,
a lot of quarterbacks, and quarterbacks in particular have kind
of transferred to taking their opportunity, you know, somewhere else.
If you look at I mean, for example, Washington with

(26:35):
Michael Pennix dives in year two. You know he's a
transfer quarterback, but he also fold. He also followed as
oc Caitlin de Boor, who was with him early in
his career at Indiana, which had had a role in that.
You know, ers, I'm not sure what you make of
the short standard Ohio state. It seemed like that was
more had to do with him being able to earn
some nil money because of the rules in the state

(26:56):
of Texas, and then he was able.

Speaker 2 (26:58):
To come back to ut where he ultimately.

Speaker 1 (27:01):
I think wanted to be so I'm not sure how
what you do with that or what you make of that.
And then Jalen Millrose, you know, high school recruit, JJ
McCarty the high school recruit. I would say, for the
most part, when you're a high school recruit to a
college and they value enough, they're not letting you transfer,
They're I'll letting you go.

Speaker 3 (27:21):
Do you think Kyle McCord already knows where he wants to.

Speaker 2 (27:23):
Go or he just I think he's got a pretty
good idea.

Speaker 1 (27:25):
I think the other thing is is Ohio States surely
already knows what quarterback they're going to try to get,
or they know what their plan is going into next year.

Speaker 2 (27:37):
I mean this is I mean, look.

Speaker 1 (27:38):
Calm McCord played high school ball with Marvin Harrison junior.
We know Marvin Harrison junior is moving on to the NFL.
I think for how this team played this season, there
was probably a thought that if it was really that
close between Devin Brown, their backup quarterback, and Kyle McCord,
they're going to lean on the guy who's won state
championships and played high school ball with their best player

(28:00):
in Colm accord. So you know, Devin Brown's the guy
who may have the edge over Lincoln kind Holes who's
there as well. But it's gonna be interesting to see how
this Bowl game works out. And then if they get
a transfer quarterback. I mean, to the best of my knowledge,
cam Ward's still in the market, and he is the
best quarterback in the transfer quarterback market.

Speaker 2 (28:20):
If you're gonna try to go get one like that
is that kid's a stud out of Washington State. You
know there's gonna be a lot of people competing for
his services.

Speaker 4 (28:28):
It's two pros and a cup of Joe here on
Fox Sports Radio, and now it is time for the
progressive play of the day.

Speaker 8 (28:35):
Baker Mayfield shotgun look God went in motion to the right,
blitz threatened.

Speaker 6 (28:40):
Mayfield gets rid.

Speaker 2 (28:41):
Of the ball in a hurry.

Speaker 1 (28:42):
Caught ball at the thirty one yard breaking your tackle,
Hike Evans, still breaking your tackle.

Speaker 2 (28:47):
Dig just wait to the thirty six yard line. Let's
a eleven yard pick up pos over one thousand yards.

Speaker 3 (28:52):
Well the chance consecutive season.

Speaker 2 (28:54):
Only Jerry Wikes has done it more.

Speaker 4 (28:56):
Buccaneers Radio Network on the call, that's the guy, Mike
Evans LaVar said, was slow a few moments ago. That
is your progressive play of the day. Progressive is making
things even easier.

Speaker 3 (29:05):
They will help you bunder your home together.

Speaker 4 (29:11):
So you can save on both learn more Progressive dot
com or what eight hunder progressive?

Speaker 1 (29:16):
You're dirty man? What No, that's what you do to him?
He walks away for a second, probably go to the bathroom,
you know, and just chilling say I'm not gonna let
him take a shot at you.

Speaker 6 (29:26):
Like, I appreciate that. G appreciate that. You know. Jonas
likes to, you know, sneak them little zingers.

Speaker 2 (29:32):
You know what Jonas doesn't do. You know, Jonas doesn't
stand on his business.

Speaker 6 (29:36):
Stand on that business.

Speaker 1 (29:37):
Jonas, by the way, and by the way, I keep
picturing Jonas or like LeVar is standing on a briefcase
or something. You know, that's a nice shirt boundcase you carry.

Speaker 4 (29:46):
You know, he's going to stand on some business. How
about Penn State Ole Miss It's one of the better
matchups in the dollars.

Speaker 5 (29:55):
That's one of that's a great know how you brought
that inure?

Speaker 2 (29:59):
I mean, he is what's good about it?

Speaker 6 (30:00):
How did you introduce that into.

Speaker 2 (30:03):
Penn State's defense? Nasty now. I mean, like it's Chop.

Speaker 6 (30:07):
Gonna play and no, probably I would assume that. I
don't know. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (30:13):
That's the concern about all this New Year six games.

Speaker 6 (30:15):
You just don't know who's going to play.

Speaker 2 (30:16):
Some of these dudes you don't know to play.

Speaker 1 (30:18):
But some of them, like Jackson Dart he's draft eligible,
but like it would help to have a good game
his draft stock. If you're playing versus Manny Diaz's scheme
and that Penn State defense, like if you play well,
like people are gonna notice that it's one of the
best defenses in college football. I mean, they good thing
for Penn States. The young Cats, k Tron and Singles,
I mean those dudes they're not draft eligible.

Speaker 5 (30:39):
So well, and then the guys like Abdual Carter and
and uh my kids, Sutton. Sutton is is like the guy,
he's a guy, and the big Zane and all of
them that we got.

Speaker 6 (30:50):
We got guys.

Speaker 5 (30:51):
Even if some of the superstar starwarts don't.

Speaker 2 (30:56):
It's their moment. This could be their their party for
some of them.

Speaker 6 (30:59):
You're right, You're right.

Speaker 1 (31:01):
I like it. This redends me of like the older days.
I feel like there this used to happen way back when,
but people didn't pay.

Speaker 2 (31:07):
As much attention to it.

Speaker 1 (31:09):
But I remember when, like younger players used to play
in bowl games and some of the older guys wouldn't
because they were, you know, the injury concern or whatever else.
But like growing up at Columbus, Ohio, like I kind
of recall some of that. If it wasn't you know,
a big like New Year six type game, like you'd
see some of the guys not playing.

Speaker 5 (31:27):
Something rotate out pretty quickly and not to mention, just
super quickly. In a lot of cases, those big time schools,
their players were better their their backup players. The second
string guys were better than the starters in a lot
of cases.

Speaker 6 (31:44):
So it was just that.

Speaker 5 (31:45):
Time to transition into a better player into the position.
So you could see some of that. Like you said,
it's a moment in time, take advantage.

Speaker 4 (31:55):
Two pros and a come to Joe here on Fox
Sports Radio.

Speaker 6 (31:59):
I don't do that.

Speaker 2 (32:00):
Don't do that.

Speaker 5 (32:01):
While I'm talking, you talked your hands up to Lee,
like you and Lee on the same page. We gotta
get the brink. We're gonna get to get the brink.
Don't put your hands up to Lee. And Lee don't
put your hands back up to Jonas. Yeah, we know
this is y'all show, but but let me and c

edits earlier.

And yeah, I'm out.

Speaker 5 (34:04):
I think that'll play good enough defense to keep it
less than ten.

Speaker 6 (34:09):
It's their offense that's going to struggle. I'm gonna keep it.

Speaker 3 (34:13):
Yeah, out and you don't trust.

Speaker 2 (34:15):
I would trust Levar's opinion over over mind, Man.

Speaker 5 (34:19):
I was awful this week. Just is what it is.
But I'm going with in psych. I'm going without. I
said I was out. Hey, okay, next one, I'm out
out your business.

Speaker 6 (34:31):
I'm out. I'm a stand on my bidness.

Speaker 12 (34:33):
When you guys think Jacksonville, what food do you think?

Speaker 5 (34:35):
Do you think like USh mahi mahi?

Speaker 2 (34:39):
Oh that's a good one. I didn't think of that. Yeah,
maybe Gator.

Speaker 6 (34:44):
Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (34:46):
Never been to Jacksonville.

Speaker 12 (34:47):
Garlic crabs, That's what I've seen here.

Speaker 5 (34:51):
Garlic crabs doesn't sound bad. I'm okay with crabs.

Speaker 12 (34:56):
Hey guys, there's a holiday in New Zealand.

Speaker 6 (34:58):
It's today.

Speaker 12 (34:59):
It's cold great day where you celebrate with a crate
of beer.

Speaker 3 (35:04):
Oh yeah, yeah, in on this as.

Speaker 6 (35:08):
Long as it's ice cold, I know.

Speaker 12 (35:11):
And it's the start of summer in New Zealand by
the way, southern heminster.

Speaker 6 (35:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (35:15):
So so create a beer and watch some some some
some football.

Speaker 3 (35:19):
So what's what's what's see?

Speaker 6 (35:22):
New Zealand Beer's go to.

Speaker 2 (35:26):
Look.

Speaker 4 (35:26):
If you had to say, you know, Australia would be Fosters.
Although you say that to Australians, they get pissed off
because it's a bad representation. Leaf shook his head, like,
I don't know that they have one, because Fosters is off.

Speaker 12 (35:38):
I'm seeing something called abandoned brewery.

Speaker 11 (35:42):
It's probably abandoned for a reason. For Emerson Brewery. They
like Guinness apparently, do they spates or is it spikes
spikes original?

Speaker 4 (35:53):
I don't know whether I've become a little bit of
a Guinness snob. I don't know which one though. Well,
what do you mean there's stout and then there's drought. No,
there's drought and there's stout. Are you talking about No,
it's draft. No, it's drought. No, it's draft.

Speaker 6 (36:13):
Are you sure?

Speaker 2 (36:15):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (36:15):
I don't think so.

Speaker 12 (36:17):
Huh.

Speaker 5 (36:21):
I'm telling you d r a u g h T drought.
It's draft drought. It's spelt both ways, but it's not draft.
It's drought d r h T drought. I'm correct, all right,

(36:44):
Thank you very much. Okay, is that how do you
say drought? D r a u g h T say that?
How do you say that?

Speaker 6 (36:53):
That's draft? Yeah?

Speaker 5 (36:55):
Draft beer, because that's drought to me, trout? What is
that draft? There's no half.

Speaker 12 (37:06):
Well, there is a drought, like, you know, a drought
of heat.

Speaker 6 (37:10):
That's oh that's you. Yeah, so that's so. This is
a U S it's draft.

Speaker 5 (37:16):
There's no f but okay, yeah, yeah, See some of
y'all got this thing messed up and it's m It
might be me, but it just doesn't sound right. There
should be an a draft. It should be draft. You draft, not.

Speaker 6 (37:34):
Drought. Sounds right to me. Bank, Bank Go go.

Speaker 12 (37:40):
It is the NBA in season knockout round turn.

Speaker 6 (37:43):
What's the other one?

Speaker 2 (37:43):
Though?

Speaker 11 (37:43):
Actually stout Celtics staff Celtics and Pacers and Pelicans at
Kings for the knockout round out out it's too gimmicky enough.
What else, guys? I got along when I'll save it
for tomorrow. How about National Cookie Day?

Speaker 6 (38:02):
Yeah?

Speaker 12 (38:03):
What's your favorite cookie?

Speaker 3 (38:05):
Come on, chocolate chip?

Speaker 5 (38:07):
You can't beat a great chocolate chip, But sugar cookie
is pretty dope too. Though, snicker doodles was my thing
for a moment. I like snicker doodles.
