x at Albert Breer A B.
Speaker 2 (00:42):
Good morning. How are we feeling?
Speaker 3 (00:43):
Well?
Speaker 4 (00:43):
I wasn't expecting Creed, but here we are.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
So whoa, WHOA? What was that supposed to mean?
Speaker 5 (00:49):
Well, I mean you don't want to get higher? I
immediately I immediately thought that was it that Thanksgiving game where
what do you like? Flies in on the suspension? I
think it was the old at the stadium, right.
Speaker 6 (01:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:01):
So here's the thing about that, because I always feel
that way too, But I go back and watch the video.
It's not him. It's just another guy who's bald and shirtless.
Who does it?
Speaker 2 (01:09):
Scott STAPs on stage.
Speaker 7 (01:12):
Yeah, it's just a stunt man who's like, it's some
random guy without a shirt on who shaved his head.
Speaker 8 (01:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:17):
Oh, I thought it was actually him.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
I know, I dude, I did too.
Speaker 7 (01:21):
Maybe he did at some point, But like the one
where the guy comes down from the sheet, he literally
looks like powder, remember Powder from that movie?
Speaker 2 (01:27):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's what the guy looks like me too.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
Well, hey, ab, we're happy to have you, and we've
got questions that we don't even know if you have
the answer to, but we're gonna ask him anyways. Trey Hendrickson,
The hell's going on here? Man? It feels like things
have continued to take a turn towards we're not doing it.
Mike Brown kind of air and everybody out earlier in
(01:54):
the week at his annual lunch in there in Cincinnati.
How's this thing gonna play out and get done?
Speaker 9 (02:00):
I Mean, it's been really up and down over the
last week alone. You know, I'd say over the weekend
there were some people who thought they were making momentum
towards getting something done, and then Monday things took a
bad turn. And I you know, obviously he made his
point by driving back to Florida. I don't know if
it would have been more efficient for him to just fly,
(02:21):
but yeah, I mean, it's it's It's just it remains
to me the most now unpredictable of these situations. You know,
I could get done tomorrow. It could be a holdout
the hand that that that.
Speaker 4 (02:36):
That that lasts in the September.
Speaker 9 (02:38):
It's a guy who you know, obviously has been you know,
going through this the last three off seasons. He did
the one year band aid deal two years ago. Last year,
you know, he tried to make a point and you know,
was told to stand down and wait. And now here
we are. And you know, I think one thing that
really complicates it, and this is.
Speaker 4 (02:59):
A point that I brought to you guys, but I don't.
Speaker 9 (03:01):
Think enough people are drilling down on it, which is
the Bengals history with these contracts. You know, they had
precedents and rules like all these other teams do. And
there's more strict than a lot of other teams. And
you know, I think when you when you look back
at the deal he did two years ago with Burrow, that.
Speaker 4 (03:19):
One broke a lot of the rules.
Speaker 9 (03:21):
And then they did the two receiver deals this year
and those deals were seen as kind of a package,
but they were very different. The Chase deal had the
same sort of structure and guarantees that the Borough deal
did on a relative basis, right like it it was
it broke a lot of the Bengals old rules, and
then the Higgins deal looked a lot more like a
(03:43):
traditional Bengals contract. So you know, I think that complicates
this too, where it's like what bucket is Trey Hendrickson
in And I'm sure you know, because he's had to
go through this three offseasons in a row and has
had thirty five sacks and the two seasons in the interim,
he believes that he's played his way into the sort
of deal with guarantees like Jamar Chaser Joe Burrow got.
(04:05):
And I'm sure the Bengals look at this and say, well,
you're in your thirties now, so we can't do that
for a guy with that sort of age and mileage
on his body and.
Speaker 4 (04:13):
So you know, we're we view you more in the
Higgins buckets.
Speaker 9 (04:16):
So I don't know how they bridge that gap, but
you know, if I had to put my finger on
on one thing that's kind of creating the divide to be.
Speaker 7 (04:24):
Right there, it'd probably be easier for the Bengals at
least if they just got Shamar Stewart's deal done. We'll
give a little more clarity right to the guy you
brought in to replace Trey Hendrick said it essentially, but
they can't get that done. What do you see in
the forefront for getting that rookie deal done?
Speaker 9 (04:44):
Yeah, I mean that's a that's another one that comes
down to president and rules, and sometimes teams try to
change the language and their contracts and they'll you know,
you got.
Speaker 4 (04:55):
To start somewhere right.
Speaker 10 (04:56):
So well, So on that point, though, let me ask
this Albert anyone else doing what they did, because it
feels like from all the reports on what they're trying
to put in their contracts that like Schwartz Star it's
the guinea pig.
Speaker 8 (05:10):
Yeah he is for Yeah, I say that's right.
Speaker 9 (05:13):
Yeah, And and and I think that that can create
like a number of problems for a player. Obviously there's
a you know, exposure, you're you're you're creating for yourself
and and look like no one wants to default on
guarantees or trigger those things, you know. But there's also
the element of like that's gonna set a tone and
(05:33):
precedent for other contract negotiations with other players, with veteran players,
you know, and and and so like the Bengals wanting
to protect themselves in a certain situations with that that
that that default language on the guarantees, you know, I
think creates this. It just creates this situation for player,
for for for for a rookie words, you got to
(05:55):
look at it and say, not only is this not
only would this be like not a good thing for
me to accept, it's also going to affect, you know,
the way the Bengals deal with other players. So yeah,
it's like a big picture thing for a rookie to
deal with. Now what I have set out the spring,
if I were him and you know, done it the
(06:16):
way he did, probably not. You know, I think it
makes sense for rookies to sign the waiver and and
get their work, and especially a guy who I think
came into the league with a little bit of a
reputation for being raw, like Shamar Stewart.
Speaker 2 (06:26):
Did.
Speaker 11 (06:29):
You know?
Speaker 9 (06:29):
But but but he made his decision there. And you know,
obviously now we're at a different stage of all of
this and and we'll see how it goes.
Speaker 1 (06:36):
But not to spend so much time on just the Bengals.
But you know, we've talked about this during the course
of the week, and you'll get Bengals fans to get
upset and defend the organization and well, you guys are
just haters or roll Well, Brady, you're a Cleveland guy,
et cetera, et cetera. What from people you talk to,
what is the reputation of the Bengals as an organization
(06:58):
when it comes to dealing like this around the league?
Speaker 7 (07:01):
And let me just say this add this caveat too.
Pete Prisco is a staunch defender of them, because Duke
Tobin's nice to them.
Speaker 9 (07:13):
This you's got to be like Pete's tan must be
electric right.
Speaker 6 (07:16):
Now, You're not wrong.
Speaker 9 (07:20):
It's the middle of the summer. It's going to be
it's got to be freaking electric right now.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
Yeah, it's a great base.
Speaker 8 (07:26):
Can yeah yeah, so uh so I would I would say,
you know, regardless of what Pete might say, the reputation's.
Speaker 9 (07:36):
Reputation, you know. I I think there's always been that
reputation going back for years and years and years that
they're cheap, that they're kind of run like a mom
and pop shop, and in some ways it's earned, you know,
like they've had a very small scouting department forever, and
you know, those guys, to their credit, have done a
really great job, you know, like and you know, I think,
you know, on balance, over the last twenty five years,
(07:58):
they're definitely as far as like you know, putting rosters together,
the talent that's gone through there, they're definitely in the
top half of the league in that department, despite the
fact that, again their personnel group is so small relative
to the rest of the league. But that's the type
of stuff is kind of, you know, gone across the
organization in a lot of different ways. Like there was
(08:19):
that whole thing with it took forever for them to
get a practice bubble, you know, and that is in Ohio,
you know what I mean, Like it's not in Florida.
Speaker 4 (08:27):
Like that's just being.
Speaker 9 (08:28):
Able to like functionally practice in December and January. So
it's just little things like that that add up, and
then it's very easy to link that stuff to how
they deal with players, you know, and how they deal
with the player contracts, and so in some cases it's fair,
in other cases it's not. I would say, you know,
I think Joe Burrow is been a kind of force
(08:51):
multiplayer when it comes to this and trying to change
the perception of the organization and put some pressure on
the guys, pressure on the guys that that that are
that that are in charge there, you know, and and
I think in some cases it's worked, you know it
really I would say with with the receivers, that worked,
(09:12):
you know, and even you know, in the skying department,
they added three guys to that to that department, which
I think was only I mean they only had like
four or five full timers until until then.
Speaker 4 (09:21):
You know.
Speaker 9 (09:21):
So it's worked in certain degrees. They've evolved in certain degrees,
and the reputation is what it is, is fair in
some cases, maybe.
Speaker 4 (09:27):
A little unfair in others.
Speaker 7 (09:31):
Albert, As we fast forward into training camp, what are
you like most looking forward to see or getting like
an answer to is there anything out there that You're like,
like maybe I don't like the Jets, Like what.
Speaker 2 (09:42):
Are they going to look like? What Justin Field is
going to look like?
Speaker 7 (09:45):
Could be the Stealers with Rogers, Like who are you
most looking forward to going and seeing and going to
see what they look like heading in the season.
Speaker 9 (09:51):
Yeah, one of them I saw yesterday, which is the Vikings,
Like I think they're so there's so much in this
equindo with that roster, you know, like that they can
compete for a championship. So you know, what does JJ
McCarthy look like as a trader man?
Speaker 3 (10:05):
Like that?
Speaker 9 (10:06):
I think is a fascinating story. And you know he's
he's up to about two twenty now and I think
he's throwing it really well. They're encouraged Orris, We'll see
where it goes. The Chiefs to me are one that,
like I think a lot of people are. The prisoners
are the last thing they saw. I think they've got
a chance to be better than they've been the last
(10:26):
couple of years on offense, you know, once they get
through the Rossie Write suspension and all of that. Like,
I think I think that's got a chance to be
maybe the best offense they've had in a couple of years,
and you know, we'll see where they have. The age
of Chris Jones and Travis Chalzi affects them later in
the year, you know. And then I think the second
(10:47):
year quarterbacks like and I mentioned JJ, but also Michael
Pennox in Atlanta, Drake May and New England.
Speaker 4 (10:54):
Caleb Williams in Chicago.
Speaker 9 (10:56):
You know, you get the feeling that's got a chance
to be a really special class based on how Jayden
played last year. I think bo Nicks hasn't even gotten
enough credit for how well he played. So you know,
like I think that group, what the what the what
the second year quarterbacks look like going into twenty twenty
five is really really interesting too.
Speaker 1 (11:19):
Have you heard Alberbreer joining us here on Fox Sports Radio?
Get him on x at Albert Breer. Have you heard
anything by on the way of our subject of Michael Parsons,
Terry McLaurin, How close, how far apart are those deals
from getting done?
Speaker 9 (11:34):
Yeah? I don't. I don't think McLaurin and Parsons are close.
I would say I think mclaurin's situation, I think that
could escalate fast, you know, So I I I don't
know that, like as we stand right now, that they're
like on the doorstep of getting something done. But I
think that could get done fast. I feel like the
(11:56):
Parsons deal just based on the Cowboys history, you know,
and what's happened in the last couple of summers.
Speaker 4 (12:02):
I don't know.
Speaker 9 (12:03):
I mean like it feels like that one's going to
take a little bit longer. And I don't know that
the public fighting is helping in any way either. So
I would say, like the McLaurin deal, I think the
McLarin deal gets done, and I don't think that's going
to take all summer. I think the Parsons deal could
take all summer.
Speaker 7 (12:22):
I'm curious, Albert about Anthony Richardson. It feels like it's
it's kind of that last year where it's kind of
all in on him. However, they brought in Daniel Jones
in the offseason, Shane Stike and Chris Ballard. You kind
of have new ownership, right stay within the family for
the essays, but there's a different person now who isn't
directly tied to your your hirings necessarily since that was
(12:43):
Jim Er say, God rest the soul, But what what's
your thoughts of just how they go about managing this
given the circumstances that Shane Stiken's kind of under I mean,
is this like, hey, maybe Chris Bowen him aren't attached
at the hip here and Richardson has to get every
opportunity to go be the guy. Or is Shane Steigen like, look,
(13:05):
if he's not the best quarterback, I can't afford to
lose games with an ownership group that's look around saying
we haven't been competitive within this division for a while.
Speaker 2 (13:15):
How's that play out?
Speaker 4 (13:17):
Yeah?
Speaker 9 (13:17):
Well, I think, first of all, I think Anthony richards
in a sort of off scholarship, you know now, like
he he is going to have to go and earn
every snappy guess.
Speaker 4 (13:28):
I don't.
Speaker 9 (13:29):
I don't think they're going to give any advantage to
to richards And based on this draft status in camp,
based on the way his first two years went, and
I if I had to bet right now, I'd say
Daniel Jones wins that job. And I do think for
Chris Baut and Shane Stigen, it's go time now. I mean,
this is year three for Shane Sike, and generally coaches
don't make it through three years. And into a fourth
(13:51):
year if they haven't made the playoffs, and Chris Allen's
been there for a long time, and so you add
the ownership situation.
Speaker 4 (13:57):
On to it. I think anytime there's any sort it's
for a power.
Speaker 9 (14:01):
Whether it's by a team being sold or you know,
obviously the unfortunate events of this off season, something like
that happening in Indianapolis. Everybody's radar is always going to
be up because there's somebody different, you know, that's got
the finger on the trigger. And so I'd say this
is this is well passed the point where the Colts
(14:23):
can just take the season and chock any sort of
failure up to the quarterback development and see how it
goes with Anthony Richardson just because they spent the fourth
overall pick on him two years ago. I think they
have to see what they can be as a team
now with the core that they built with guys like
Michael Pittman and Jonathan Taylor and DeForest Buckner. They have
(14:46):
to win now, you know. And I think you see
some of the moves they made in the off season,
you know that I that I think that that I
think would point you to that with and they bring
in some guys in the secondary, guys that can bind them,
and you know, we'll see where it goes. But I
don't think, you know, if you're the Colts, you can say, yeah, like,
let's just throw Anthony Richardson out there and see how
(15:07):
the first six or seven or eight teams go.
Speaker 1 (15:09):
Albert Before I let you go, we were discussing earlier,
just where does Ohio State football rank in the state
of Ohio when it comes to sports teams, professional or not?
Speaker 6 (15:18):
And yeah, yeah, we get, we did get.
Speaker 1 (15:21):
I think confirmation that they are number one by a mile?
Can you confirm nor deny that?
Speaker 9 (15:27):
Brady's better to answer to that? To me, I only
spent four years there, he grew up there. I would say, yeah,
it's probably the one thing, although like I don't know Brady,
like I feel like so I feel like all of
Ohio except for Cincinnati. And I think since Cincinnati kind
of has this weird thing with Ohio State where I like,
(15:48):
I don't feel like as as much Ohio State country
as like Cleveland or Tweedo or Akron or anything, you
know what I mean. Like Cincinnati feels like there's a
strong Notre Dame contingent there almost that there are Michigan
people there too. There is not as much Ohio State country.
Speaker 4 (16:06):
As the rest of the state.
Speaker 2 (16:08):
Yeah, you're probably not wrong.
Speaker 7 (16:09):
I think if there was one, you know, one splot
in Ohio that we might be more divided. It may
be Cincinnati. I mean, obviously you have the University of Cincinnati.
I mean, when they're good, they they pull a lot
of people from that community who are loyal to them.
But I'd say this, I think anyone who's a Cincinnati
the University of Cincinnati fan is Ohio State fan, you know,
So I would generally say this, you go across the
(16:32):
entire state. There's not that conflict that you have between
Bengals and Browns fans or whoever else is or you know,
Reds and Guardians fans.
Speaker 2 (16:40):
You don't have that. So I think you're right, because
I do.
Speaker 7 (16:44):
You know, there's a fair amount of prochial schools down
there who you know, are Notre Dame fans.
Speaker 2 (16:47):
But you have that in Cleveland too. I guess I
just my.
Speaker 7 (16:52):
Experience has been buying like there's no confusion. Like most
people if even if they are a fan of any
of the other teams, like They're still in a high
state fan too, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (17:02):
Yeah, and I and Columbus is so solid.
Speaker 9 (17:04):
I know, I say, and it's Columbus is because you
grew up there.
Speaker 4 (17:07):
You know. It's like kind of weird.
Speaker 9 (17:08):
From a pro sports perspective, like there are actually a
fair amount of Steelers fans I feel like in Columbus.
Speaker 2 (17:13):
No, like, yeah, and there's.
Speaker 7 (17:16):
There's some like Pittsburgh transplants and PA transplants, which is
part of that.
Speaker 2 (17:19):
But what's interesting they are getting a UFL team.
Speaker 9 (17:22):
Hey, yeah, there you go.
Speaker 2 (17:24):
I'm not sure if you saw that, but yeah, I
mean have some competitions.
Speaker 9 (17:30):
Yeah, yeah, we'll see how that goes for the UFL team.
Speaker 1 (17:33):
What's next on the training camp tour you mentioned right.
Speaker 9 (17:37):
Now, which I was just I just had Good Morning
America on the TV here and it looked like I
saw something about severe heat index morning or something like that.
Speaker 2 (17:45):
You'll be fine, Yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 9 (17:47):
I'm melt in the heat, Brady.
Speaker 4 (17:48):
I'm not very good with.
Speaker 7 (17:49):
It, like a house cat. I feel like, you don't
you don't like the cold, you don't like.
Speaker 9 (17:55):
I Actually I actually deal with to cold great.
Speaker 4 (17:58):
I love I don't mind at all.
Speaker 7 (18:00):
Here's the thing is, every time I see you when
it's cold outside, you always have a cold.
Speaker 9 (18:04):
I'm no, but I deal with it fine. Like I like,
I don't know, like you saw me, like you saw
me at the at that game, Like I probably was
wearing what I was probably less bundled up than anybody there.
Speaker 7 (18:14):
Oh you mean Ohio State Michigan. Yeah, I mean again
for Ohio State fans, because we've been talking a lot
about them today. Uh, Albert Brewer maybe the most. I'm
just saying, every time I've seen him in recent years
out in Ohio State, Michigan's lost.
Speaker 2 (18:26):
So I'm not putting it all on you.
Speaker 5 (18:28):
Yeah, no, No, he made that.
Speaker 9 (18:30):
He made that very clear to me. He made that
very clear to me.
Speaker 7 (18:34):
Uh well, in your entire section you're sitting in, I
was like pointing. I'm like, that's Albert Breer. He's the
must people. People who are turning around looking at Albert
and they're like, oh.
Speaker 1 (18:44):
Albert, are you gonna make Are you gonna make it
out to Texas?
Speaker 2 (18:46):
Ohio State?
Speaker 9 (18:47):
For I haven't decided yet. I think I'm going to,
but I haven't decided yet.
Speaker 2 (18:51):
What do you mean you haven't decided yet.
Speaker 9 (18:53):
It it's gonna be a circus out there.
Speaker 2 (18:55):
Huh oh, yeah, it's gonna be amazing. It's gonna be
everything you hoped.
Speaker 6 (18:59):
For and more.
Speaker 9 (19:01):
I'm actually going to be in Columbus on Sunday night,
so I'm planning on trying to figure that out when
I'm there, when I'm between Tangles and Browns camps.
Speaker 6 (19:08):
So all right, all right, well.
Speaker 2 (19:10):
That naturally makes sense logistically, you know.
Speaker 1 (19:13):
Yeah, well, Albert, we appreciate it. Enjoy Packers training Camp,
stay cool, stay hydrated, and we'll do it again next week.
Speaker 2 (19:21):
Thanks, I thank you.
Speaker 1 (19:22):

What are we talking about? What do we need to
get off our chest here to go ahead and get
things sorted out when it comes to the issues that
people face constantly when it comes to travel and whatnot.
What are we looking at here as far as as
far as far as this issue, because Brady was flying
(21:53):
to Vegas and back. We've both been to Vegas, but
not at the same time. In the past several days,
both via Southwest Airlines who are trying to figure out
how they can put together set arrangements or seat assignments,
and so Brady and I have been partaking in the
travel experience that is currently going on. My big ripe
(22:14):
with Southwest is the fact that they have this twenty
four hour check in and you literally twenty four hours
before can set an alarm, be ready to go to
check in, and you've got zero shot at being the
A group zero shot.
Speaker 2 (22:30):
And I don't get it.
Speaker 1 (22:32):
If that's the case, limit the number of people that
can buy pre grouping so they get the A group.
That's my big ripe with Southwest recently is the fact
that I'm sitting there twenty four hours before setting an
alarm and still I'm stuck in the B group.
Speaker 6 (22:47):
That pisses me off.
Speaker 2 (22:48):
Wait, I get that. I get that, especially for a
cheap ask like you.
Speaker 7 (22:51):
What I was gonna ask was this, and I'm going
to need some lorna to participate in this. So I
told you how Like the couple walked on and it
was not a full flight. So the fact they chose
to sit together next to me instead of they're in
their own row and they could out some space. I
was like, all right, like I even tried to you
know how sometimes like when you're in the Southwest and
don't act like you don't do this. If you anyone
(23:12):
flies Southwest when you know it's not a full flight,
you'll try to like bow up a little bit to
be like bigger than you actually are. Is to like
hang over to the next seat, So like, don't don't
sit there.
Speaker 2 (23:22):
Yeah, don't do it. It's a good move. So I
kind of well, Plus, you're.
Speaker 7 (23:25):
Establishing dominance already on that arm rest, like there's already
a battle for the arm rest.
Speaker 2 (23:30):
I'm there, I've planted my flag.
Speaker 7 (23:32):
I was the first to the moon, so that's my
arm rest now, Like now if you try to fight
with me, like I've got priority over you because I
was there first. I got president. Yeah, so there's a
little bit of all.
Speaker 2 (23:42):
That going on.
Speaker 7 (23:43):
Well, when this couple gets on, it was almost like
I don't know if they were married or it feels
like a boyfriend girlfriend situation. But the guy made the decision,
and I was thinking to myself, Ah, she gets the
raw into the stick here because she's the one sitting
in the middle.
Speaker 2 (23:57):
Next to me.
Speaker 7 (23:59):
I'm gonna be that like a hole who's like, you know,
big and just lumbering over around and everything on the seat.
So it's gonna impact her more than anyone else, like
I would imagine Lorraina. If you've ever flown with a
significant other, you're probably going to dictate to them where
you sit right, or at least play a factor in that.
You know.
Speaker 6 (24:15):
I'm one of those people.
Speaker 1 (24:16):
I will actually accommodate my man.
Speaker 3 (24:18):
First, So if he wants to be by the window
or in the aisle, I usually will just bundle into him,
so I'll just you know, I'll make it work.
Speaker 7 (24:25):
Why would he so you would you would have done
what he did last night. You would have just been like, Okay,
I'm just gonna sit next to this big dude. Is
gonna be like taking my arm rest the whole time?
Speaker 3 (24:31):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (24:32):
And if I fall asleep on the big dude, don't
get mad at me. Yeah, I could see that, Oh easy,
I don't. Yeah. What about you, Jonas? I know you
don't fly a time with your family, but.
Speaker 1 (24:43):
That's not true.
Speaker 2 (24:45):
What do you mean have you fled twice a year
with your family?
Speaker 1 (24:48):
I've never well, listen, you know, I don't like to
travel that much, but when I do fly, I've never
one time in the history and my wife and I
have been together married non married, thirteen years now, never
one time have I said you take middle I want
window like never like never want That's never even been
a thought in my mind. Hey, let me sit you
(25:10):
next to some stranger and you just go ahead and
figure it out. No, I'll deal with the stranger. You
sit with a little bit more comfort and a little
bit more ease on the flight.
Speaker 2 (25:22):
He's worried about her. She's gonna play pocket pool with
some other dude. What do you think. I mean, Listen,
I'm not helping her with her luggage.
Speaker 1 (25:29):
Like I won't help her with the luggage, but at
least I'm not going to make her sit next to
some creep.
Speaker 2 (25:33):
Cooper. You're out on this.
Speaker 3 (25:34):
I always make my wife sit in the middle seat.
Really well, look, I mean look.
Speaker 6 (25:42):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (25:43):
It's just I figure if she like, she can lean
away from the other person and like, you know, rest
her head on me.
Speaker 6 (25:51):
Yes, I don't know.
Speaker 7 (25:54):
Okay, So let me let me give you another piece
of the scenario. There end up being an open seat
across the aisle, So they could have went ale and
aisle and been like technically across from each other. But
they didn't choose to do that either.
Speaker 1 (26:10):
I mean, they probably wanted to sit next to you.
If we're being honest, There was zero conversation. In fact,
the dude was a coder. I had to look over
at his screen and he was literally coding, and she
played a video game the entire time. There was zero
communication the whole time besides.
Speaker 2 (26:28):
One to each other.
Speaker 7 (26:29):
No, not really. And they had masks on, so it
was probably difficult. But uh, I'm not kidding. I'm not like,
I'm not degrading them for wearing mask. I'm saying they
both had mass on.
Speaker 6 (26:40):
You should degrade them for wearing a mask or COVID mask.
Speaker 1 (26:44):
Very different COVID mask.
Speaker 2 (26:45):
COVID mask, not like one of those cool.
Speaker 7 (26:48):
Ones, so not like the not like the breathing ones
that people would wear for workouts from time to time.
Speaker 2 (26:52):
That what makes it harder to breathe, not those either.
Speaker 1 (26:54):
Now did they wreckon? Do you think that they recognized you?
Speaker 2 (26:57):
No?
Speaker 7 (26:57):
Dude, First off, I hate how you do this because
it's the worst line of questions ever. What do you mean,
first off, they well they were like I don't even
know if they spoke English very well, I'll put it
that way. Oh yeah, that changes things like, well, this
is not this is not the direction you want to
go at this. Okay, it's not going to help you
(27:18):
in any capacity, nor the conversation with that matter. I'm
just more fascinated by decision making by people, like I'm
like thinking about this going this couldn't.
Speaker 2 (27:28):
Have been because they weren't even cuddly.
Speaker 7 (27:30):
It wasn't even like they were overly affectionate, but they
were definitely together.
Speaker 1 (27:34):
I would I would just assume like this happens sometimes
in parking lots, to where it's like a wide open
parking lot and somebody parks.
Speaker 6 (27:41):
Right next to you.
Speaker 1 (27:42):
You have all these spaces available, and you park right
next to somebody, don't you want a little bit of comfort,
a little bit of space, like want to be able
to like spread out spread your wings a little bit.
And people do that, like even at sporting events, to
where it's like, no, this is my assigned seat. There's
nobody two seats over to your right, just sit there all.
Speaker 2 (28:00):
It's weird.
Speaker 3 (28:01):
I'm sure I'm not the only one to do this,
but on non Southwest flights, I will purposely book the
aisle and the window to try and discourage anybody from
sitting next to them.
Speaker 2 (28:13):
Really, yes, now, and you just keep both of them, well,
I mean, does the entire row?
Speaker 3 (28:20):
Yeah, and if somebody does end up booking the middle seat,
then we'll just say, hey, can you know, can we switch?
Speaker 7 (28:26):
You know?
Speaker 3 (28:27):
But I try to do it so that people, when
they're looking for their seats are like, I don't want
to sit in the middle, and hopefully we get the
whole row.
Speaker 7 (28:34):
I know, some people will book the entire row because
they're able to get like a discount on non Southwest flights,
and it's cheaper than like paying first class. Really, we're
buying like a bigger yeah, or buying like a higher
ticket price.
Speaker 6 (28:45):
I've never even.
Speaker 2 (28:45):
Thought to do that. That's interesting, Wow, Coop.
Speaker 1 (28:50):
So you dislike being around people that much that you're like,
I'd just rather do this.
Speaker 6 (28:55):
Oh absolutely, yeah, all right.
Speaker 1 (28:57):
I mean, hey man, people you just see weird things,
you know when people are flying nowadays.
Speaker 7 (29:03):
Well, I just I mean again, that was like the
perfect storm of just crap that was gonna happen. But
I actually thinking to myself, like you had the entire
rest of the plane. You couldn't have like found another
road to sit in by yourselves, you know, especially if
you want to get a little hanky panky going on
or something like that. That was out of the question.
I mean, not that I'm prying on them, but I
am right next to them.
Speaker 2 (29:22):
It would have been a little awkward.
Speaker 12 (29:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (29:23):
Instead, they want to play, you know, video games and
code on their phone for the entire time. Did they
order a cocktail at least any Boozebee had.
Speaker 2 (29:33):
They didn't even order like drinks. They took snacks, you know.
Speaker 7 (29:36):
You know, when you're in the another Southwest thing, You'll
be sitting there and there's a hitching the side of
the face with like pretzels or whatever the hell they're
dealing out. I mean not that you want them, you know,
the peanuts, but they're throwing them at you like they
they want to make sure that you get something for free,
so you feel like you got something out of this
whole ordeal.
Speaker 1 (29:53):
The flight I took from Bourbank to Vegas, they didn't
serve alcohol on the flight. I think people to fifty
five minutes, you can't get a couple of throat burners.
Speaker 2 (30:04):
In it's probably forty five.
Speaker 1 (30:07):
Yeah, I mean, how slow do you guys drink?
Speaker 6 (30:11):
Can't you can't?
Speaker 7 (30:12):
Well, it's it's more of a byproduct. I don't think
they can actually do service for the entire plane. So
if they can't do it for everyone, they don't do.
Speaker 6 (30:18):
It for anyone.
Speaker 1 (30:19):
I mean, there has been that talk of their getting
that train, that bullet train done from from LA to Vegas.
Speaker 2 (30:25):
There's been Who's doing that?
Speaker 6 (30:26):
I have no idea.
Speaker 2 (30:28):
Wasn't there some other train system that was going on
in La or California? How's that going?
Speaker 12 (30:32):
Not?
Speaker 6 (30:32):
Well? Yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (30:33):
I don't know when that's going to get canceled. But
all the issues.
Speaker 7 (30:36):
They've got, they have to easements from all those people
in tents, right, I don't.
Speaker 2 (30:40):
They have to figure out how to move them out
of the way.
Speaker 8 (30:42):
Right?
Speaker 2 (30:42):
How much is it from ten to tell me I'm wrong? Coope,
tell me I'm wrong? It sucks to they have to
go like ten by ten, Like, hey, sir, where.
Speaker 6 (30:53):
You im in a domain?
Speaker 2 (30:54):
Here we go to take over your tent city area.
Speaker 1 (30:56):
They dropped me rob next to that shopping cart over there.
It tipped over guy's got his dog under there because
he doesn't want to pay for a cage. Yeah, that's fine,
but listen all the issues they've gotten in California. You know,
let's worry about whether or not we can get the
train built get people to Vegas. Okay, that makes all
the sense in the world. But well, look for anybody
(31:17):
out there traveling or flying, Yeah, do the right thing
and stay as far away from the person next to
you if you have options, all right, like just we
got options here.
Speaker 2 (31:27):
Just give us some space. That's all we're looking for
looking for.
Speaker 1 (31:32):

still good. Time to find out what's lap? It's Lee's
lap job?
Speaker 1 (33:13):
I mean, who needs Lee when you've got Justin Cooper
ready for more Coop?
Speaker 6 (33:17):
What do we got all right.
Speaker 3 (33:18):
So, as you guys may or may not know, I'm
a bit of a foodie. I like all food, fancy food,
terrible food, crappy food.
Speaker 6 (33:25):
It's it's it's all.
Speaker 2 (33:26):
Great to me.
Speaker 3 (33:27):
And I love TV, and so we have a nice
little mixture of the both. Here Wendy's revealed Wednesday inspired
meal with a bloody frosty and four mystery sauces. Now Wednesday,
starring Jenna Ortega, The Great Jenna Ortega, the Great, Yes
Love Jenna Ortega. Season two is set to premiere on
(33:50):
Netflix on Wednesday, August sixth, and starting on August fourth,
Wendy's will have this Wednesday meal and it comes with
four mystery sauces called the Dips of Dread.
Speaker 2 (34:04):
Oh Yes, And it says.
Speaker 3 (34:06):
Right here on the the because the meal includes nuggets, fries, frosty,
and on the nuggets box it says, you don't get
to know which Inferno inspired sauce you got, so I
get to enjoy the look on your face when you
find out. And the sauces are called it nowhere to woe,
grave mistake. You can't hide spelled hyde like checklin hyde.
(34:29):
And this will sting. So I'm not you know, I
don't eat at Wendy's a lot, but I will definitely
be going to get this Wednesday meal.
Speaker 1 (34:38):
I don't need a ton of fast food any fast
I've never been disappointed by Wendy's ever, Like I don't.
I don't think I've ever had something from there and
been like, uh, that wasn't that great. They're like, no,
it's actually pretty solid. They get a really really good menu.
Seems like they got a lot going on there.
Speaker 7 (34:57):
So their headquarters are here in Dublin O High, and
we've actually been there to like the test kitchen and
a lot of their concept kitchens where they're trying out
new things. If people understood the amount of time that
goes into the presentation, how it just sounds when you
eat it, like the crispiness of the bacon, for example,
(35:17):
or the sandwich, the bun, everything that goes into that.
It is an incredible process. I mean, even in their
test kitchen, so they have this room it's completely white
and they have I think there's like six different little
windows that open up and they pass out the food
to taste testers and they're blindfolded and there's no sound,
(35:38):
and it's so all their senses can be sent to
their taste buds and they go through, you know, tasting
various food items. Some they're trying to change, some they're
trying to introduce. Yes, it is intense. I had no
idea the lengths that one of these goes through when
they roll out different things like this. So I grew
to have a greater appreciation for it. And we went
(35:58):
through a bunch of things and like taste testing and
how this all went, it was fascinating and honestly like it.
It made me more interested in like trying some of
these new concepts and meals they come up with, because
I kind of know the backstory to all of this
and how it comes about.
Speaker 1 (36:12):
How about the hey coop? What do you Wendy's is
not in the rotation a lot? Maybe it should be
in the rotation if you hear that once you once
you skip out on some of the other rinky ding spots,
you go fresh never frozen coop.
Speaker 3 (36:23):
That's so, that's right. And and they Hey, their their
nuggets are top tier. Their nuggets are awesome. Like my
kids we I mean, my kids eat their nuggets all
the time. The meal of misfortune and this goes up
to what Halloween. No, I don't think it goes that long,
but it starts starts Monday, August fourth.
Speaker 2 (36:42):
It has that feel to it, right, Yeah, I.
Speaker 3 (36:44):
Mean it's definitely a Halloween kind of theme, but you
know it's going along with the the Netflix show that
premierees on August sixth.
Speaker 2 (36:51):
Got you interesting?
Speaker 6 (36:54):
But speaking of.
Speaker 3 (36:54):
Television, you guys are either of you Breaking Bad fans?
Oh yeah, yeah, perfect good. That's that's my number one
TV show of all time, by the really all time. Yes, absolutely,
it is a really good TV show.
Speaker 2 (37:06):
I will say this. I'm more like side with comedies.
Speaker 7 (37:10):
So one of the most underrated shows that I don't
feel like people appreciate is Arrested Development. I thought the
running of that show and how they connected like years
later episodes back to different things was right up there next.
Speaker 2 (37:24):
To like Veep.
Speaker 7 (37:25):
Veep was really all in my opinion, like Seinfeld, some
of the other like all time great sitcoms, a rest
Development will never get the appreciation that deserves, and that
the cast was incredible.
Speaker 6 (37:35):
Job job is my favorite.
Speaker 7 (37:37):
Yeah, there's always money in the banana Stan.
Speaker 2 (37:40):
That's that's right.
Speaker 3 (37:41):
But speaking of Breaking Bad, Vince Gilligan the creative of
Breaking Bad. There's a new teaser the the Internet is
a Blaze with a teaser poster for his new show,
which will be on Apple TV Plus. It's just a
picture of it looks like a Petri dish and a
smiley face with a with a tip and it says
happiness is contagious. What we know about this show is
(38:04):
that it is described as a sci fi drama compared
to the Twilight Zone. And it takes place in Albuquerque,
much like Breaking Bad, but a very different Albuquerque. And
then that's the one that we know, and yeah, that's
the world changes very abruptly in the first episode, and
then it is quite different.
Speaker 1 (38:24):
I mean, if you want a natural backdrop to get
you depressed, Albuquerque is the place. Like those red mountains
are just miserable to look at. Like you're looking at
going this this feels.
Speaker 6 (38:34):
Like people would do drugs.
Speaker 2 (38:35):
You were just in Vegas. They're the same red mountains
out there too.
Speaker 1 (38:38):
I don't know, a different vibe. But at least I
can escape to a penny slot machine. You can't do
that in Albuquerque.
Speaker 2 (38:43):
I don't know. They think.
Speaker 7 (38:44):
I actually do have some casinos out there. And by
the way, like where I was staying. I will put
it this way. It felt like a post apocalyptic type
world like I was on like basically the people who
brought the vehicles from Mad Max, they lived like right
next door to wheld.
Speaker 2 (38:58):
Excuse me, by the way, how far were.
Speaker 6 (38:59):
You from this strip?
Speaker 7 (39:01):
Not far at all. I was just on the other
side of the airport. It Actually the house was fine.
I just I took a walk one morning because I
like wanted to try to get some sleep for a
little bit before I had to do other work.
Speaker 2 (39:11):
And I was I was walking around. I'm like, my god,
like this is.
Speaker 6 (39:14):
This is bizarre.
Speaker 7 (39:15):
I mean, they if there was ever a place that
needed an Hoa, that place needed in Hoa because the
disparity between properties was ridiculous. Like you go from like
a really nice house to like a barbed wired fence,
like I don't know, almost like a cattle pasture, Like
what is happening here?
Speaker 6 (39:34):
So i'n't ran for themselves out there.
Speaker 3 (39:36):
There are places in Vegas where I'm like, I can
guarantee you there is somebody smoking cracking there right now.
Speaker 2 (39:43):
Might be Hunter Biden based on recent.
Speaker 7 (39:47):
I mean, dude, that video of him that went viral
and like him educating people on it. I was like,
all right, I get why he did it. I mean,
he knew everything about it. He talked about how addictive
it was, it was. It was crazy, Like I'm just
seeing like the depth of knowledge he had on on
that subject.
Speaker 1 (40:05):
I mean, you know, you got to be an expert
on something. Everybody's got something there. They're master technician on that.
What else we got, Coop? Well, speaking of the apocalypse,
I just read this. There is a new thing called
robot metabolism. Robots consuming other smaller robots to heal, grow
and evolve.
Speaker 6 (40:26):
Christ Yes, And how's that for a scary news?
Speaker 1 (40:29):
Oh wow, jeez, let's get back to a Heroin and
Crystal math. Please, something positive.
