Get this, you're listening to Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 3 (00:39):
Was that a humble flex right there? Did you flex?
Speaker 1 (00:42):
Tad ah resumes give you the ability to flex?
Speaker 4 (00:47):
It's cool.
Speaker 3 (00:49):
By the way you sent over. You sent over the
video your dog, mister stive, mister trying to find one
of those gills.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
Still not as big as Jonas's dead dog, as big
as Boss Hog.
Speaker 3 (01:01):
Hey, by the way, I'm glad you brought that up.
We actually recently weighed him again three thirty five.
Speaker 4 (01:07):
Dang.
Speaker 3 (01:07):
Yeah, so yeah, just usually you dig him up. Yeah,
we did, would you stuff him? Now? We dug him
up and we just kind of used whatever, the just sort.
Speaker 5 (01:19):
Of how long has your dog been dead? It's almost
twenty twenty five by you.
Speaker 3 (01:25):
I believe the exact date was May nineteen, twenty fifty.
Speaker 4 (01:31):
You buried him?
Speaker 3 (01:33):
No, I didn't bury him.
Speaker 4 (01:34):
What did you do?
Speaker 3 (01:35):
You see where I live? You think I got room
from I don't know where you live where it's four
hundred pounds?
Speaker 4 (01:40):
What did you do with them? What you said bye?
Speaker 1 (01:46):
You just got rid of them? Say goodbye? Dang Do
you think I got to put him at a folder's can?
And just I mean, my dogs are cremated. Dresser, I
just passed away, Jonas.
Speaker 4 (01:56):
You didn't cremate your dog.
Speaker 3 (01:58):
I don't know. They took him away and just that
was it. Yeah, that's it.
Speaker 4 (02:01):
What do you mean they took him away? It was
like a group of.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
Like that comes to the house. You called animal control.
That doctor Patterson came to the house.
Speaker 4 (02:11):
Uh, he probably put him in a black trash bag.
Speaker 3 (02:13):
Was like, and put him in the trash can and
I didn't see it, So didn't happen.
Speaker 5 (02:18):
Dang Bro talks about like how how you know how
close he was with his dog, and that's how it
takes care.
Speaker 3 (02:24):
I got a tattoo of his popper, and I did
my part.
Speaker 1 (02:27):
I buried a lot of my dogs. I've had like dog,
but my two favorites, I creamated them. Yeah, they're they're
still with us in the house. Yeah, so we're taking
Dresser to the next you know, we got a dog
corner to come get them and everything. I helped load
them up. That was my first time facing facing.
Speaker 3 (02:48):
Death of one oh man awful. Yeah it was. That
was tore my heart out.
Speaker 1 (02:54):
But let me tell you something, mister Sticks is easily
my favorite dog of all time. And I know a
lot of it has to do with Dresser and how
that all happened. But he bruh. Not only is he
a big dude, but he doesn't know he's big, So
everything that he does is small. You know, Like he
(03:14):
jumps on your lap like he's a lap dog. He
licks your face and and their licks are way stronger
than just like the average lick. It's like a it's
a very like your whole like when they do that cartoon.
Now I know why the cartoonist would draw and their
whole face, like from where their jaw is would go
up to like where their forehead is, like because of
how strong the dog's tongue is. Like he's a I mean,
(03:36):
he is an impressive dude. Though I've seen Drew a lot.
He is a drooler. That's the only thing I don't like.
But at this point, yeah.
Speaker 4 (03:46):
Not any more.
Speaker 3 (03:47):
Man, He's turned over a new leaf, new Lee.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
You know.
Speaker 6 (03:51):
One of the best things right now is h I've
stopped snoring.
Speaker 4 (03:56):
Yeah right, No, No, that usually happens to.
Speaker 7 (03:58):
Me, especially sleep app Yeah, yeah right.
Speaker 3 (04:02):
You think you stopped snoring. I mean that's what I've
been told.
Speaker 4 (04:07):
Do you feel like you're sleeping betterly? No?
Speaker 6 (04:10):
Right now I'm sleeping awful, But uh I think I
will be.
Speaker 4 (04:13):
Is that because of the withdrawals?
Speaker 3 (04:15):
Maybe that's why you're not snoring, because you're not sleep
Why do you say and laugh of Brady. He's going
through a tough time here. He wants to be supportive.
Speaker 4 (04:22):
I don't think we're being serious about that, are we?
Speaker 3 (04:25):
I mean, are you struggling to sleep?
Speaker 6 (04:27):
Yeah, just because I'm still sweating a lot.
Speaker 5 (04:30):
Okay, maybe the withdrawals you're really through, Like it was
that that big of a part of your life.
Speaker 3 (04:37):
Man, I think it's Lee's livers Like about time, buddy,
I'm just still sick.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
No, it's one or two things. You're still going through
the withdrawal process. No, not that, or somebody's trying to
take you up out of here. I do that cough
I heard earlier. I wo, I got I had to
get the hell up out of here, tuberculous.
Speaker 4 (05:03):
Do you believe at some point you were going through
withdrawals a little bit?
Speaker 6 (05:07):
Yeah, yeah, absolutely, Okay.
Speaker 4 (05:10):
From a little bit. It's absolutely all right.
Speaker 7 (05:13):
Although well I'm just saying there's there's a portion of
it that was that, and then yes, there is some
part that is sick like right now, it's just the
remaining sickness of it.
Speaker 3 (05:21):
Look, I think if I gave up coffee, I'd get headaches.
Like I think because I've had to do it. I'm
a migrainer. So anything like Pepsi's.
Speaker 1 (05:30):
Coffee, I have to take preventive medication because I get
I get a migraine.
Speaker 3 (05:36):
It's a wrap.
Speaker 1 (05:37):
It is a I'm talking fetal position, thumb in the mouth,
in the corner, pitch black.
Speaker 3 (05:43):
Don't say a word to me. And still that's that's
not enough.
Speaker 1 (05:47):
Like you try to stop breathing, like you try to
slow your breathing down so much that air doesn't go
up into your nostrils or your mouth, and you don't
want it to touch your brain. And then you start looking
at windows like is this window opening me jumping out
of it?
Speaker 3 (06:03):
Is it better to do that than? Oh?
Speaker 1 (06:04):
Bro, bro, I don't know if you get migraine. No,
because of the migraine, I mean a migraine. There's triggers. Nuts,
you know, nuts can do it.
Speaker 3 (06:15):
A lot of migraines. Huh, Pepsi's you stupid? You stupid?
Speaker 1 (06:22):
Sure on with you man, square hats, you know, let's
go back to square pineapples, safe work, Let's switch switch subjects. Okay,
Pittsburgh for Pittsburgh.
Speaker 3 (06:38):
There we go. It definitely is alright. And as we
mentioned earlier in Quinns wins, uh, somehow, some way, these
Steelers are only a three and a half point favorite
on the road against the Browns. Cleveland stinks, like, I
don't know what people thought they were gonna get whatever
spark they were gonna get from Jamis Winston. They got
annihilated last week divisional game. Though games are always tough, man.
Speaker 4 (07:02):
They are.
Speaker 5 (07:02):
He's not lying, man, We were not a great team
in nine. We're part of that oh to seven record
for Mike Tomlin, my.
Speaker 3 (07:09):
Man ten point underdogs. You helped me out.
Speaker 5 (07:11):
Yeah, yeah, I'm glad we helped out. But the truth
of the matter is, to Levar's point, divisional matchup. And
every time I see these lines, I'm always like, something's
up right. It's like the NFL to me, is I
really should should be betting the other way on this
because it's just one of those weeks where you go,
all right, is this gonna continue on with Russell Wilson?
(07:33):
Is it gonna be a remain undefeated as their as
their quarterback? At some point is gonna slip up? And
in the NFL, oftentimes short week road team, even though
there's no time zone change, it's not a long travel
from Pittsburgh to Cleveland, something happens.
Speaker 8 (07:46):
Man.
Speaker 5 (07:46):
I'm just telling you, I think it'll be a tight game,
but I think ultimately Pittsburgh will will win.
Speaker 1 (07:52):
It's a trap game for certain and like like we're saying,
it's a short week, it's a divisional opponent. Cleveland doesn't
have much to play for other than pride and being
professionals Jonas, and sometimes that's enough, you know, Sometimes your
dislike for another team is enough. You want to spoil something.
Speaker 4 (08:11):
Would you describe Jonas as a professional.
Speaker 1 (08:14):
Yeah, professional hater, What do you mean your professional? At times?
Would you say that he's unprofessional?
Speaker 9 (08:24):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (08:27):
At times?
Speaker 4 (08:28):
Somewhere a l b U.
Speaker 1 (08:31):
I will say this, Jonas is a consonant professional at.
Speaker 3 (08:35):
What he does.
Speaker 1 (08:36):
He does, what's get better at what he does? He
I will say that getting in.
Speaker 5 (08:41):
And out of segments. But you cannot stop him from
teasing whatever's coming on. You can't stop that.
Speaker 1 (08:48):
But I will say off air he is very unprofessional.
Speaker 4 (08:53):
What do you mean he's one of your biggest slab
You are.
Speaker 1 (08:56):
A very very very very unprofessional no person, what do
you think we are?
Speaker 3 (09:01):
Not on air? That's all I'm gonna say. So I'm
not going to say anymore.
Speaker 5 (09:05):
I'll describe it more as like immature, Okay, yeah, yeah,
you're very underdeveloped Jonas.
Speaker 3 (09:11):
What do you mean, LeVar?
Speaker 4 (09:12):
What do you need to get out more?
Speaker 3 (09:13):
Man? What are you talking? I'm just saying many Can
you look at me when you're talking wrong? You mean?
I'm just asking. I'm asking questions here. I just want
to get to the bottom of this stuff. Oh though, Man,
all right, here's something to monitor when it comes to
the Browns so stupid. I want you guys keep it together. Okay,
(09:38):
I'm trying to just look at LeVar like you do
the small guy you sit next to you sometimes Diamond Phillips.
So we are young gunning. So we've got this game
coming up later tonight, and I was I was not
(09:58):
aware of this, uh, this little beef that's going on
between t J. Watt and Miles Garrett. But apparently this
no so okay. Apparently, when Miles Garrett got the Defensive
Player of the Year, t J Watt didn't attend the
NFL Honors show and wrote on social media, quote, nothing
I'm not used to. Miles Garrett was asked about this
(10:21):
on Wednesday and had this to say, ever seen.
Speaker 8 (10:30):
Now got the apologize.
Speaker 7 (10:32):
I see him this change the lad that has changed
the way that he didn't him with people.
Speaker 8 (10:38):
I mean, I wouldn't say we're friends. I would say
we're friendly, and I have a respect for him, and
it don't really change anything. But we'll see what happens
on Thursday. I've never complained about Hoping not being in
my house and vice versa. He shouldn't. He shouldn't be
feeling two ways about it going to me.
Speaker 3 (10:58):
So TJ Watt responded, it was just something kind of
generic like I have respect for everybody. It's team against team,
not me against him, etcetera, etcetera. But be careful messing
with my.
Speaker 4 (11:13):
Steelers.
Speaker 3 (11:13):
Don't mess around.
Speaker 5 (11:14):
So TJ wanted five more sacks, and I believe at
least two, if not three, more fumble recoveries. I think
the force fumbles were the same last year, but I
kind of forgot about that. And in the defensive Player
of the Year argument, like typically, man, you.
Speaker 3 (11:32):
Got five more sacks, that's a that's significant. Yeah, that's
like a season that's a season high for most guys.
Speaker 5 (11:42):
So I think you can understand why he feels slighted.
I mean when you look that, when you look at
that statistic, are you like, dude, yeah, that's he probably
was cheated.
Speaker 4 (11:51):
A little bit, right.
Speaker 1 (11:52):
I would say tackles for loss would matter now nowadays,
I would say quarterback hers that you know, did he
cause fumbles? Like I would I would. I would say
you still have to look at other categories that are
significant to being a disruptive factor in in the game.
(12:13):
I wouldn't just say it's just sacks. Well, I think
that a lot of times it was either interceptions or
with sacks that were were the reasons why you will win,
not even tackles, you know, but tackles for loss. Tackles
for losses are are pretty much just as valuable as
(12:34):
a sack these days. So I would say if we're
looking at those those categories, if if those are all
things given equal, and the determining factor is the sacks,
then yes, that that that's a significant difference in margin.
Speaker 3 (12:50):
Five sacks more one hundred.
Speaker 5 (12:52):
So what had he had two more tackles for loss?
He had six more quarterback hits as well, and then
on top of it, he had about twenty eight more tackles.
Speaker 1 (13:05):
Yeah, I will and say that's crazy significant. But tackles
for losses are hard to come by, just like just
like sacks are. They're they're kind of hard to come by.
So in a way, that is like you said, it
was how many three, three, or six tackles for loss? Yet,
(13:26):
and yeah, that's not significant enough.
Speaker 5 (13:29):
Twenty six more tackles he had interception as well, and
he also had a couple more passes defended.
Speaker 4 (13:34):
For what that's worth, I mean.
Speaker 1 (13:36):
They might be looking at the total body of work
and making making the decision based off of that, possibly,
but not sure.
Speaker 4 (13:44):
Not sure, but that's what I'm saying. Watt had all
the bigger numbers.
Speaker 3 (13:48):
Yes, yes, and he didn't get it. Garrett got it right.
Speaker 1 (13:53):
Yeah, so there's a legitimate yeah, I mean there would
be a legitimate kind of you know, if I were
t J. Watt, I would feel the same way. What
do you think is the biggest thing that separates this too?
One is white and one is black. Maybe just at
first glance, one is black, one is white. I mean
we could say that Miles Garrett's arms are bigger than t. J.
Speaker 3 (14:18):
Watts.
Speaker 1 (14:18):
I mean at first glance, whatever first glance is. I mean,
you know that that might be the first glance that
you come up.
Speaker 3 (14:25):
Come on, sorry, now, well Miles Garrett lie this time
again about being.
Speaker 1 (14:30):
Called but this time the black Man one though we won,
we came out on top, you know, I mean, so
we can.
Speaker 4 (14:37):
You know, like every other nineties scary movie, you know.
Speaker 1 (14:40):
No, you know, Miles Garrett would have been the first
one out of the movie. You know.
Speaker 5 (14:44):
Although it's kind of like l O COOLJ. I feel
like all the movies he's in, he always survives.
Speaker 1 (14:49):
Was a deep blue sea where he was like, you
should have one that they picked that that is you're
able to to kind of you know, let them live
l L cool J. For some reason, he just he
found the way to be the one that lives in
these types of movies.
Speaker 5 (15:03):
I'll just never forget in Deep Blue c after like
they he survived and all this stuff, and he just.
Speaker 4 (15:09):
Goes take me back to the ghetto.
Speaker 5 (15:11):
And like at that moment, not only was it one
of the more comical lines for whatever that movie was
supposed to do, whatever genre, but I also was thinking
to myself, well, why the hell did you go out
in the middle of the ocean on this.
Speaker 1 (15:23):
Like laboratory they buddy, like, what were you doing anyway?
Speaker 3 (15:28):
Too many away?
Speaker 4 (15:30):
Yeah, you get.
Speaker 5 (15:31):
Some random laboratory in the middle of the ocean testing
on this all this stuff on sharks, Like.
Speaker 1 (15:36):
What the hell That tiger shark in that movie was
aggressive as hal It had me shook in my and
where I was watching it, I was shook up. I
ain't never got in the water deep Water, Nope, because
of that tiger shark from Deep Blue, like never got
in You'll never see me get in deep water.
Speaker 4 (15:56):
Lee will be the rating for that movie on the
rating system.
Speaker 1 (15:59):
Sting Stump stand but I never saw it. It had
like one rotten tomato, maybe one and a half.
Speaker 4 (16:05):
I could caure less what like they gave it. I was.
I was looking for the Lee rating the lead.
Speaker 7 (16:11):
Yeah, oh that's a that's an old timer because it's
got such re what because it's got such rewatchability.
Speaker 6 (16:18):
It's so it's such a fun one.
Speaker 5 (16:20):
There's so many scenes you don't forget about. You don't
like remember you forget that were amazing.
Speaker 3 (16:25):
I just remember that Tiger Shark was aggressive as f man.
Speaker 7 (16:28):
I mean for me, because it has because I love
putting it on. I could put it on any time.
I would put it as a solid eight what out
of ten? Yeah, I'm not gonna put it as like
a great movie, as a great.
Speaker 1 (16:39):
Movie, but like eight out of ten for a movie
is great, that's like a great movie.
Speaker 6 (16:45):
But I'm just saying it's like, yeah, it's a good
movie that you just put on.
Speaker 5 (16:47):
How you're giving it eight Hey Buddies out of ten
is what you're saying on the on the lease scale,
on the scale of the Hey Buddies.
Speaker 7 (16:55):
I'm not necessarily calling it, like you know, up there
with your best films of all time.
Speaker 6 (17:01):
But if you want a just a good movie.
Speaker 5 (17:04):
Yeah, for movies that are about sharks that swim backwards,
it probably.
Speaker 4 (17:09):
Ranks up Aroun on the top. Right.
Speaker 5 (17:10):
Yes, absolutely cool, just making sure I know that being
a key point in the movie where they're like they
know how to swim backwards.
Speaker 1 (17:18):
It's like, okay, I'm gonna say this and then I'm
done with the tiger shark. But that movie made tiger
sharks replace jaws and great whites as scary as shark
to me, I'm just being honest.
Speaker 7 (17:31):
Well, I mean, technically, tiger sharks are more aggressive and
have more attacks on humans than great whites.
Speaker 4 (17:36):
There you go, oh, okay, well bull sharks have more
than tigers.
Speaker 6 (17:39):
So there's that bull sharks are gonna take you down.
Speaker 9 (17:43):
Lee.
Speaker 1 (17:43):
I felt that I felt good about bull sharks after
The Blue Lagoon, Like I like the Blue Lagoon. I
believe that was a bull shark in that that movie.
Maybe it was a mak o, I'm not sure, but
I thought it was a bull shark, and I liked
bull sharks. I think bull sharks are kind of cool,
but I don't want to mess with those dudes. I
will say this tiger sharks. I was like in my mind,
(18:06):
I'm like, a hammerhead is intimidating, but you got a
little ass mouth. I ain't worried about a hammer head.
I don't. I don't see how, and I just feel
like you can get to their eyes so easily.
Speaker 3 (18:17):
Are they doing the hooks the Q hooks? Yeah they are,
They are hammerheads original.
Speaker 1 (18:22):
They should call them Q sharks, you know, doom Q
sharks do. They should do Q sharks. But I'm just saying.
I'm just saying. When I heard the song baby sharks,
sharks or shark, I thought of hammerheads because I don't
feel like they're very They're like them and what sand
sharks or whatever or what are they called the pilot
(18:44):
sharks or something like that, I don't know. They're big,
super big sharks, you know them big ones, but they're
not they don't care, they're not they don't not aggressive,
not interested in people. But tiger sharks ever since that movie, man,
I do not bang with no tiger sharks man at all.
Speaker 4 (19:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (19:00):
Over over great whites, Like I see a great white,
be like, dang, that's a great white.
Speaker 3 (19:03):
I see the tigers. I'm like, oh that's it's a
tiger shark.
Speaker 1 (19:07):
Somebody's in trouble, Like, look around everybody and every everybody
on shore, like you know, I get nervous. Yeah, well,
and you can tell the difference. I wouldn't because they
look like tigers, but they're only a shark. I wouldn't
worry about that.
Speaker 3 (19:19):
Stan Glendora, you got grizzlies bears to worry about. And clearly,
uh yeah, mountain lion that's vampires, like Jonas. Do you
think you'll ever see a mountain lion in real life,
either one of you. Oh, I helped saw step on
the gas.
Speaker 4 (19:35):
You one.
Speaker 6 (19:37):
I just think it's possible. I could see when I
go out enough times to see it.
Speaker 1 (19:41):
But think about that. You still haven't seen one in
real life though.
Speaker 4 (19:45):
Like I was, just walk into the woods and what
grab a few beers or something.
Speaker 6 (19:48):
No, I go up to this place. I've seen bobcats
up there, anybody.
Speaker 1 (19:52):
That's what you say to the to the dang.
Speaker 4 (19:58):
You have like spray or something? A knife?
Speaker 9 (20:01):
No?
Speaker 6 (20:01):
I have a gun? Yes, Jared, you have a gun,
A couple guns.

It's going to be a wipeout. I think the Steelers
(21:28):
take care of business, just like they did back in
two thousand and nine, Baby, when I watched Brady Quinn
out duel Ben Roethlisberger from the wild Eye.
Speaker 4 (21:35):
I wouldn't say that, but we did get the win.
Speaker 5 (21:37):
I will say this, though, that would go against my bets,
so not shocking that you would directly be against me
in my bed this week.
Speaker 3 (21:45):
I just think we're going to get I think I
think Pittsburgh wins this game. But you guys are the
ones steering me in the direction of a potential upset.
So there is that. But Albert, thanks for stopping by.
As always. You can see him on Amazon NFL on
Prime later on tonight, senior NFL reporter, lead content strategist
at the m m QB. What's happening in AB? Hey,
(22:06):
what's up?
Speaker 9 (22:07):
How you doing?
Speaker 3 (22:08):
We're good? Are you expecting this?
Speaker 4 (22:11):
Sounds so down? Albert?
Speaker 3 (22:12):
Yeah?
Speaker 9 (22:13):
Do I sound down? I'm okay. I don't know if
it's play overcast and reigning here, so maybe that's part
of it.
Speaker 5 (22:19):
Maybe maybe oh you're you're one of those guys who
lets the weather dictate how they feel.
Speaker 4 (22:22):
Cool, got it?
Speaker 2 (22:26):
Wow?
Speaker 5 (22:27):
That was I mean, I'm just saying it sounds like
a bit of mindset. I'd change your mind right naturally,
getting that alpha mindset.
Speaker 9 (22:33):
Yeah, I don't know. You guys are the ones who
called me out. I actually think I'm doing okay. I'm
pretty resilient. But if you guys at my voice, maybe
that's okay.
Speaker 3 (22:41):
So, ab, I got to ask you, are you expecting
some fireworks before the game between t J Watt and
Miles Garrett, who apparently was upset that TJ threw a
little shade during the Defensive Player of the Year honor
last year, expecting to throw down Maybe he takes his
helmet off and beats him with it again or what
that would be?
Speaker 9 (22:58):
Uh that would be highly an entertaining I think that
would be good for ratings, right like, so uh so yeah,
I'm all for it, no I I uh yeah, it'll
be interesting to see those two guys in the field
at the same time. I think, you know, given that
the Browns are where they are and you know, I
I think playing out the string might be a little strong,
but you know they're getting to that point, you know,
(23:21):
Like I think one of the night one of the
cool subplots is, you know, two of the best defensive
players in football over the last five years, you know
who both won that award, having it having a chance
to be on the same field at the same time.
Speaker 4 (23:34):
You know.
Speaker 9 (23:34):
Obviously there's a lot more on the line, i'd say
for Pittsburgh right now than Cleveland, though, as its routine standpoint, no.
Speaker 4 (23:41):
Doubt about it.
Speaker 5 (23:42):
I want to ask you, though, just about the Cleveland Browns.
First off, are you in Cleveland right now?
Speaker 9 (23:47):
No? No, no, no, no, okay, I've heard it. I've heard it. Still,
well you close, right, I've heard it's going to snow
to night, right, I.
Speaker 4 (23:53):
Mean, it's snowing. I'm in Columbus now.
Speaker 5 (23:55):
It's snowing here now, which is the first snow of
the year, so a little early for it, but shockingly
it's it's kind of dicking to at least from what
I've seen. But we'll see how that continues. My question
for you, though, is the Browns head coaching situation. It
just seems odd that a guy who was head coach
of the Year in the NFL a year ago, and
despite all the troubles that he's kind of gone through
(24:16):
this year, especial with injuries, how he could all of
a sudden be on the hot seat when it feels
like the thing that's been most detrimental to Browns has
been the quarterback situation, which doesn't feel like it was
Kevin Stefanski's doing. It feels like it's more Jimmy Haslam.
If anyone, or even Andrew Berry the general manager.
Speaker 9 (24:34):
Yeah, I would say I would say two things on that. First,
I wouldn't necessarily buy into the perception that Kevin's in trouble.
I think it would take some catastrophic down the stretch
for him to be gone. So I think Kevin will
be back. I think Andrew Berry will be back in
twenty twenty five. I think those guys have earned them
all again, especially after last year. You know, they were
(24:56):
dealing with a lot of these same things last year,
just from an injury standpoint point, you know, playing with
five different quarterbacks and being down to their fourth and
fifth tackles and having the receiver injuries they had last year,
and they still made the playoffs and this year hasn't
gone the same way. But I would say that this
Brady that the has one, has messed a lot of
(25:18):
things up over their first few years as as as owners,
and you know, I think it took them a while
to get to a model that they really like. And
I think that they really do like this model, and
this model has actually brought them a good, good amount
of success over the last five years. So I'd be surprised.
I'd be surprised if Kevin was gone and I And
(25:40):
the other thing I'd say, just on the Watson thing
is I think everybody has taken their share of blame
for that. I think there's blood on everybody's hands, you know.
You know, and just knowing a little bit about like
the planning on that going forward, it does sound like,
you know, the quarterback plan is going to shift a
little bit coming out of this year. Obviously, the contract
puts them in a really tough spot. But you know,
(26:03):
I'm my understanding is you know that they're gonna shake
up the quarterback room a little bit and try to
put some competition in there for next year. Knowing that
really because Deshaun watsonsveinger, there's not much and has a
guaranteed contract. There's not much they can do about about
his place on the roster.
Speaker 1 (26:19):
Ab a lot going on in Dallas in terms of
not a lot going on, but there just seems to
be this campaign that is I mean, is it trying
to gain traction? It continues to be spoken about with
Shador and coach Prime possibly being a package deal ending
(26:39):
up in in Dallas. Is there any real validity to this?
Is this is this just talking or is this something
that like really actually could seriously be in consideration.
Speaker 9 (26:53):
I don't know, LeVar, you have to kind of like
look at like what it would take for that to happen,
right like and and like the amount of hoops that
people would have a jumpster to make that happen. I mean,
first of all, they might need to have the first
pick in the draft. Second of all, you know, like
they would they would, they would, They would need to
be comfortable with the fact that they just paid Dak
(27:14):
Prescott sixty million dollars per year and they can't get
out of a contract for another couple of years. So
now like you're bringing in Beyond to coach the team.
His son is the backup, but you're locked into this
other guy for the next couple of years, which in
some circumstances might make sense because you might say, okay,
like we want to do it like Atlanta did it,
like where they've got cousins for the next year or
(27:35):
two and then they'll transition it over to Pedix. But
is that really going to work, you know? And is
that going to put Dak in the best position to succeed?
So you know, all this stuff sounds great, you know,
I just don't know how it all comes together. Now.
If we're talking about Dion as a head coaching candidate
in the vacuum, maybe that's a little bit different. But
I I I don't know where you know, Jerry and
(27:57):
Steven Jones look at it, say yeah, we just paid
sixty million dollars for for Dak Prescott. Prescott, but let's
go ahead and trade up to to to go and
get this other quarterback. Will take away that the advantage
you have with a quarterback and a rookie deal, because
you won't have that financial advantage with Dak's contract on
(28:20):
the on the books. And we'll go forward with a
with a guy who I think most people. And I
don't know, Brady, you probably have a better perspective on this,
but I think most teams view should do as like
a good not great quarterback prospect. So it doesn't even
feel like you'd be swinging for the fences on that one.
Speaker 5 (28:36):
I mean, he's going to be the number one quarterback.
I think he solidified himself as that. But in regards
to this class and how it's viewed, it's accurate. This
isn't last year's class where you feel like you have
five guys who can go inside with the top ten
or whatever it was.
Speaker 9 (28:48):
Yeah, yeah, I would say, yeah, I would say this
is this class is viewed in very, very differently. I
do think I'm with you to bas some people I've
talked to. I think Sho Door is probably in the club.
Has to be the first guy off the board. Carson
Beck like has really flattened out. I know he played
well last week, but it's flattened out quinn Ewers, I
(29:10):
mean the question is where the ceiling is with him?
Speaker 3 (29:12):
Uh?
Speaker 9 (29:13):
Neil cam Ward, can you go from being like a
six or seventh round pick last year to all of
a sudden being a high first round pick. I just
I don't know. I don't know looking at this class
that this is going to be I mean, it may
not be as bad as twenty two, you know, where
you had Kenny Pick in the first round and I
think the next you know, two or three guys went
in the third round. But it may be closer to
(29:35):
that than it is to last year. It's not a
great year to be able for a quarterback in the draft.
Speaker 3 (29:40):
Albert Brier joining us here on Fox Sports Radio. You
can get him on x at Albert Breer. So I
want to ask you because we were talking obviously about
the Jets situation yesterday, and you know GM's gone now,
head coach is gone, seems like Aaron Rodgers is going
to be gone. Seems like Woody Johnson has got a
heavy hand in the organization now as he's walking through
(30:01):
the build. Like, I know that there's only thirty two
of these things, but like if you're a head coach
or like a GM, who would want to be a
part of that A b Like, it feels like this
is maybe the worst situation in the NFL, and as
long as he's there, there's no sign of improvement.
Speaker 9 (30:17):
Yeah, And I think you're right to say that it's
one of thirty two, so they'll find somebody, you know,
But if you're somebody with options, why would you do it?
I mean, and this isn't a new problem, Like there's
Joe Douglas got a six year deal there because of
this because like the perception of the job was that
you couldn't trust ownership and that ownership was going to
mess everything up and be a problem eventually, and and
(30:41):
and that's come true with with the with the latest
group in there. And that's not saying that Robert Salin
and Joe Douglas didn't didn't, you know, put themselves in
a position for this to be the result they did,
you know, I mean Salah had three plus years, didn't
make the playoffs, Joe Douglas had five plus years, didn't
make the playoffs. Is what it is, and the nfl
(31:01):
A generally gets you fired. But that also doesn't mean
that the owner isn't a problem. And what you hear
from people, even people who won there, even people who
had a good experience, and like what he is that
what he listens to too many nons football people and
makes decisions based on football matters, based sometimes on what
those people say and what he is acutely aware of
(31:22):
what's being said on the internet, in particular social media,
and that can affect the decision making too. And I
think it shows up all over the place, guys like
for example, right, like, so they fire Robert sala I
believe it's on Tuesday, Right that Wednesday, he did not
have an offer on the table for DeVante Adams, period.
There was no offer on the table. Yet somehow five
(31:43):
days later they're trading a day two pick away for him, right,
I mean, you tell me, like Devanta Adams has been
available for a few weeks at that point, Like, how
do you go from from one to the other? It
doesn't make sense, you know, It's just I mean, these
sorts of things exist all over and I mean it's
even like, you know, with the head coach, like right,
like so you fire the head coach. It's like, well,
(32:07):
why did you do that? Well, because of the record, Okay,
well what does that help? Right now? That's the question
the players were asking. And the players look at it
and say, well, the strength of our teams are defense.
You're removing the architect of the defense from the equation.
You're taking a defensive coordinator who we like in Jeff
Oulbrook and you're spreading him thin and lo and behold,
like the defense, which was top of the league through
(32:27):
five games, is allowing in his last six games, you know,
more than one hundred yards more per game and ten
points more per game. I mean, you tell me, you
know what I mean. Like, it's just it's just it's
like they're pushing buttons to push buttons, and that's what
you're dealing with with that owner. And you know, I
don't think it gives the football people the best chance
(32:47):
to succeed, even if again like Joe Douglas and Robert
Salom made their own bed with the win loss record.
Speaker 3 (32:54):
I just have one more question the Daniel Jones situation
in New York. Since we're in New York.
Speaker 1 (33:00):
Or how how does that? How does that play out?
I mean, the players are feeling a certain type of way,
seems like, I mean, how does this impact day Ball
and his authority? How does this impact the reputation of
the New York Giants?
Speaker 3 (33:13):
Good?
Speaker 9 (33:14):
I mean, I would say this, LeVar, I've seen some
of the stuff that's out there on Daniel Jones. I
would say, on the flip side, like the coaches and
players like I have shown a lot of frustration with
Daniel Jones. And it's even like opponents can see it
on the All twenty two believe it or not, Like
there were examples from that game against Carolina where you
(33:36):
see like like a visible reaction from the sideline when
when Daniel Jones is missing throws, you know, and like
there was a flea flicker where you get two guys
wide open. Both guys might score touchdown if he pulled
the trigger insteady East the ball and takes an eight
yards sack. You know, there's a player early in that
game where he throws the ball over Molikue neighbor's head
where Malik saw it come off with the get off
(33:57):
off off Jones's hand and he knew it was me
so far over isad he just walked off the field.
Like the body language from the players, from the coaches
has been really bad the last few weeks. And so
you say what you will about like the players, you know,
being like upset about this happening or whatever. I don't
(34:17):
know that to be the case is a widespread basis.
I just tell you, you know, what's showing up in that
building and what has shown up in that building is
a lot of frustration over the way Daniel joneses played,
And I think that's part of the reason why they
go to Tommy DeVito here, is like if you go
to Drew Lock like you're taking a swing right, like
you're seeing like okay, like is there something here for
the future. I think going to Tommy DeVito is just
(34:41):
trying to get everybody back to level ground, you know,
and we know he knows the offense and we've seen
him play, so like, let's just get everybody back in
a position where they can individually do their job at
the highest level possible.
Speaker 3 (34:53):
He is Albert Breer, Amazon, NFL on Prime Insider, Senior

I guess so, oh senior over here.
Speaker 3 (36:39):
Lee. You are getting some recommendations though via Twitter.
Speaker 6 (36:42):
I am getting a lot of recommendations on Twitter. Thank
you guys.
Speaker 3 (36:45):
Yeah, some called the Spotted Cow.
Speaker 7 (36:47):
I've had Spotted Cow beer. Yeah.
Speaker 6 (36:51):
I've actually done a tour of the brewery.
Speaker 7 (36:53):
It's very cool, nice, it's uh good time at the
Spotty Cow. I'm definitely gonna have me some Spotty cout.
I had friends when I went there last time. We'd
just get suitcases and pack them with Spotted Cow and
send them back and bring them back. Yeah, you can't.
You can't sell it anywhere other than Wisconsin.
Speaker 3 (37:10):
Well, I mean, what you bring some back. That's what
they did they I mean they bought them back.
Speaker 6 (37:15):
Oh yeah, I might appreciate.
Speaker 4 (37:17):
Bring us some back for Jonas John's supposed to get
it all that.
Speaker 3 (37:19):
I have a couple of uh lid liquors here, Spotted Cow.
Speaker 4 (37:23):
Why not throw burns there?
Speaker 3 (37:25):
Hell yeah, yeah, little liver loube.
Speaker 7 (37:28):
Yeah, yeah, it's and it is that time.
Speaker 6 (37:33):
It's been a week now over a week since my
last drink.
Speaker 5 (37:36):
I mean, we could keep going, Lee, we could try
to go for this healthy lifestyle.
Speaker 7 (37:41):
The use you're telling me not to have a beer
at a at a football game, at a Packers game.
Speaker 4 (37:48):
For most people, I wouldn't tell you that. For you,
maybe we didn't take it a little little easy. You know,
when is when is.
Speaker 3 (37:54):
That white tonight?
Speaker 6 (37:54):
By the way, it's eleven thirty.
Speaker 3 (37:56):
Oh you're taking the red eye? Oh boy? So what
time you get into the airport? Like around eight?
Speaker 4 (38:02):
Yep?
Speaker 6 (38:03):
Oh yeah, well leaving it leaving here around eight?
Speaker 3 (38:06):
I mean, how later airport bars open? That's a good question.
Speaker 4 (38:10):
Yeah, you might have to sneak in some brudes.
Speaker 7 (38:13):
Well, and here's the problem is the problem is the
layover that's in uh Chicago is like before nine am,
like the before nine am. So I don't think the
bar even there is going to be open for our layover.
Speaker 5 (38:26):
Now, why do you book a red eye? Just make
it the cheapest play possible.
Speaker 6 (38:30):
I forget why I booked it a while ago.
Speaker 4 (38:33):
But are you going with Todd?
Speaker 6 (38:34):
I am going with Todd.
Speaker 5 (38:35):
Okay, Well, best of luck, but godspeed. If we don't
talk to you again, it's it's been nice it's been
it's been a good run.
Speaker 3 (38:43):
And he's got some He did pick up some snow
shoes from from the Big five. I did his rocket
and rolling. I'm ready to.
Speaker 7 (38:51):
Rock and then, uh, you know, I've got my rapid
radio with me, so just hit me up anytime, fellas.
Speaker 3 (38:56):
Yeah, mine's charging right now, and then uh we'll fire
that off. So you'll be missy. And look, if you
don't want to have a drink or be pressured into it.
If Todd tries to steer you down that road, just
ditch him, you know, let him find his own way back.
Speaker 6 (39:09):
Oh no, we're good. We're going into the ditch.
Speaker 3 (39:12):
All right. So there it is, all right. Well, everybody
wish lee luck, but I will emerge, all right. They'll
be back, and so will we tomorrow
