The LA Chargers and the Houston Texans will open things
(01:17):
up for a wild Card weekend coming up next Saturday,
and then you will get the fun matchup, which is
the Ravens who will be featured in the Saturday Night spot.
So that'll be that'll be taking place Saturday night, Steelers
and Ravens. That'll be on Prime Video. And I don't
know how you guys feel about the Pittsburgh Steelers, but
(01:38):
this feels like a problem. They have not looked like
the same team for the past few weeks. It is.
Speaker 5 (01:46):
Like four.
Speaker 4 (01:46):
I know there's familiarity there. I don't see how Pittsburgh
wins this game. I just don't get it.
Speaker 6 (01:53):
They don't look good. It seems as though they they
have hit their ceiling. I don't know why that is.
I mean, I guess because you know, guys like TJ
Watt go down and you don't have their services. It
does kind of alter the way they play defense. And
we've seen that historically when they don't play well on
(02:14):
defense with TJ Watch services, they don't generally have a
lot of success. I I look at this Steelers team,
they're starting a downward trend at the most inopportune time
to start a downward trend. And so when you when
(02:35):
you look at them going into the playoffs and what
that that entails for them to be able to have success.
It's played defense, it's run the ball and utilize Russ's
ability to do the deep ball the way that he does.
I don't know that you're seeing. I don't know that
(02:55):
you're seeing in any one of those categories, and overwhelmed
amount of success that would lend or lead you to
believe that they're going to be okay, hitting into the.
Speaker 4 (03:04):
Playoffs, biggest underdog of the weekend, which a month ago
you would maybe.
Speaker 5 (03:10):
Warranted, maybe warranted.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
Yeah, Can I go ahead and address the elephant in
the room. It's George Pickens, and I don't know what
they need to do to get him to get back
on the same page and play the way he's capable consistently.
Speaker 2 (03:25):
But something's off there.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
But between him and Russ there's times when he just
it feels like he's not aware, not on the same page, disinterested.
I don't know how to put it, But this young
man can be a game changer for them, And I
don't know how you find a way of getting his
attention or getting back into it. But you watch him
(03:49):
at times and you just feel like he's not giving
the effort on every single snap and he's not playing
to his capabilities, And that, to me is like the
number one thing it's missing from when you look at
Russ first getting in there and what he brought to
the offense and how the offense was operating and that
as well.
Speaker 2 (04:08):
But I mean, look, they had plays to be made.
I mean, even at the end.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
Of the game, the friar youth drop, you can't throw
a better ball, right, He catches that nine times out
of ten. They just happened to be the one time
in a crucial moment. So they it's their offense, it's
not their defense. I mean, they've got to find a
way of figuring out how to bring back the big
plays in the passing game. Russ has to be better
(04:32):
with making decisions. You know, he kind of scrambled up
for what a like a six yard game, takes a hit,
doesn't need to. He's played way too much football at
that point and should know better to throw the football away.
It's six yards is not worth all the time you
lose in that moment.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
So there's a number of things you can point to
to me.
Speaker 1 (04:52):
It starts, though, with having one of your most dynamic
players and getting him to play to his capabilities.
Speaker 4 (05:00):
The other game that's going to be interesting is Denver
and Buffalo because Denver was able to get in yesterday
after beating Kansas City's backups by the way Chiefs plus
ten and a half not great, That was not a
good pick at all whatsoever. But now Denver kind of
feels like it's house money. I don't know if anybody
(05:21):
expected them to get this far. They'll get the bills
coming up. I think Buffalo roles in that game. But
you know, it's kind of interesting that we see where
Sean Payton's gotten this team. I don't know anybody that
expected bo Nix was going to come in as a
rookie and do what they've done. But their defense plays well.
We've seen Buffalo come up short in the postseason, and
(05:44):
I just wonder, is that is that one that we
look at and go, okay, well, that could present a
problem or two for Buffalo. Like I mean, Buffalo seems
like they're a different team. There's no Stefan Diggs to
use as the excuse, there's no But it feels like flow.
If they're gonna get it done, they're gonna have to
get it done, get it done soon, and maybe this
(06:04):
year is the year in having to deal with.
Speaker 6 (06:07):
It's the dangerous game for the Bills. That is a very,
very dangerous game. It's a team that's used to elevation,
they're used to cold, so it's not like they're walking
into a scenario where they can play in the elements
that they're going to have in front of them going
into Orchard Park and they're playing well, and they're they're
(06:28):
they got one of the premier coaches. It's a dangerous game, man,
And it's it's interesting because I feel like the Bills
this year, probably if you're being honest with yourself, they
surprised everybody. I didn't think that I thought that they
would be good, but I ultimately it felt like they
were nearing their ceiling. And that has that has not
(06:50):
been the case. They have shown to be a very
very resilient team. They've they've shown to be a bunch
of guys that really are are able to win out
a rapid clip more so than what they prob they
did last last season, So I think that's a rough
outing for them. If they end up losing at home
(07:11):
in the first round of the playoffs like that would
be pretty wild. But if there's a team that could
possibly do that that had to go on the road,
it wouldn't be the Steelers, I'll tell you that, And
it wouldn't be the Chargers.
Speaker 5 (07:26):
You don't think the Chargers can beat the Texans.
Speaker 6 (07:28):
I think the Chargers No, no, no, I'm talking about
had to if they had to travel into I'm saying
the one team, the worst team that the Bills could
have got in the wild cart round to play, it's
the Denver Broncos in my estimation.
Speaker 5 (07:44):
Yeah, I wouldn't if I had.
Speaker 6 (07:47):
If I had, what I'm saying is if I had
the Chargers and in Buffalo for round one in the
wildcard round, I would feel comfortable with with that.
Speaker 5 (07:56):
You don't think Jim harbur could get that team fired
up to go.
Speaker 6 (07:59):
I just think that there's elements of when you don't
have to live in that type of weather and then
you're you're traveling time zones. I just think that there's
there's an advantage. I really do. I think there's an
advantage there.
Speaker 4 (08:13):
I think Green Bay's in trouble. Like and I was
texting Lee yesterday. He doesn't remember this, but I was,
I think they too.
Speaker 1 (08:21):
Did you look up that text conversation and look back
be like huh, texted Jonas.
Speaker 5 (08:26):
I'm like, green Bay looks terrible. It's like, no, they
look good. They take that back. Green Bay's going home
the first round.
Speaker 4 (08:34):
I was, that's not the way you in your seated man,
like the Watson injury. Injury didn't look good, non contact whatever.
Speaker 5 (08:43):
Do you not like the matchups though?
Speaker 2 (08:45):
Whatever?
Speaker 4 (08:45):
Man?
Speaker 6 (08:46):
I like the Yeah, I like. I think they're good matchups.
I think the Steelers are definitely in trouble. But I
think the Texans and Chargers that's a good matchup. Broncos
and the Bills a good matchup. Packers and Eagles that's
a good match up up Commanders. I think they're all
good matchups. I think they're all Vikings rounds. I think
(09:06):
they're good matchups.
Speaker 4 (09:07):
Yeah, I just you know, I was happy for Mike Evans,
you know yesterday broke his thousand, Yeah, getting his uh
thousand yards, and I.
Speaker 1 (09:16):
Was happy to see the team happy for him, Like
that's just an awesome sign, Like that's it's a group
of guys you.
Speaker 4 (09:22):
Can I really love playing with him, you know that?
To me, it was cool. Uh you talked about George Pickens,
would you recommend he maybe have a conversation with a
guy like Mike Evans?
Speaker 6 (09:33):
Like, because these new dudes, man, don't work like that
with them. They're just different when they they touched and
they different, like different, they're different, They're different different. They
don't want to deal with them. I don't want to
deal with them if you're still trying to reach you
at this point.
Speaker 1 (09:50):
Do we have the sound out lastly to get it?
But feels like a tall task. Do we have the
sound of Tyreek Hill? I sent it over to Lee
at one point at the night. I never got a sponse.
I'm assuming we don't. Basically Tyreek Kildo talking after last
night's game stating that like he's out he's out door
zone now. Bro and I sit there and I listen
(10:12):
to that, I go, wait a second, you're you're fed
up with like where you're at. Yeah, you wanted to
be there, like you made that decision you could have
signed back with Kansas City. You want to get paid
more money, more power to you. But now you've got
a taste of that for a couple of years, you
watch them win super Bowls without you, and so now
you want to go back and be with a contender
(10:33):
like I Just that one bothered me.
Speaker 5 (10:35):
Man.
Speaker 2 (10:36):
I'm looking at.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
Saying, like, hold on a second, I get why you left,
but you can't complain about the situation you put yourself in.
Speaker 5 (10:47):
We have the soundly we got it. Yeah, here was
I just got to do what's best for me and
my family.
Speaker 2 (10:52):
Go with that's here. Guess where wherever the case may be.
Speaker 5 (10:55):
Man, I'm I'm finna open that door for myself down ass,
I'm opening the door.
Speaker 2 (11:02):
I'm out, bro.
Speaker 4 (11:06):
I mean, listen, you know, maybe he's over it, you know,
maybe once the cold weather again, he's not not a
big fan of what's going on there. It is funny
that before this year his numbers were better with Miami
than they were Kansas City. And then Tua goes down,
deals with the concussion, deals with the you know, the
(11:28):
hip injury the last couple of games of the season,
and he's at a down year. But everybody's at a
down year, and I think one of the problems yesterday
was Mike McDaniel, And we have the Mike McDaniel postgame
Mike McDaniel talked about it's the stuff we went over
before the show. Mike McDaniel postgame, UH talked about potentially
(11:48):
Tyreek Hill wanting out and not wanting to be a
part of the game, and that part of the reason
why they had to walk away from Tyreek yesterday was
because do we have that sound or yeah, we do have.
Speaker 5 (12:00):
Sweet All right, here we go.
Speaker 7 (12:01):
I'm not going to put too much weight on second
hand post game disappointment statements, and we'll see how, you know,
the next couple of days progress with those conversations with
him and I. I was informed that he was unavailable
right before a drive. I was not informed that it
was a new injury. And you know, at that point
(12:22):
in time, my focus was on the players. I didn't
take the time to go try to figure out into that.
Just there was guys on the field that were competing
and we were trying to win a game. So I
was informed he wasn't available, and I didn't really have
the time to dig more into that, and we'll see
what comes of that.
Speaker 5 (12:41):
So basically felt like he wasn't competing, he pulled him
from the game.
Speaker 1 (12:45):
Isn't that conduct detrimental to the team? Yes, yeah, I
mean at some point these organizations need to take back.
I don't want to say power, but you signed a contract,
like how many players across the league yesterday, we're I mean,
I guess you'd say so. Essentially, since the seating and
(13:05):
the playoffs were set, with the exception of the Bucks
in Atlanta, right, Bucks.
Speaker 2 (13:10):
Had to win, they were in.
Speaker 1 (13:11):
If the Bucks lost Atlanta ones, then they would have
been in. So so besides maybe those two teams, but
you got what eighteen teams who aren't in the playoffs,
who all had players playing, who all are are owning
up to the contract they signed, doing what they're being
paid handsomely, might I add to do for themselves, their families,
(13:32):
their coaches, the fans like doing what they're signed a
contract to do. At some point, these organizations are going
to have to start finding guys and heavily and saying, Okay,
you want to pull yourself out, that's fine, but it's
going to take a hit from your wallet because you
signed a contract and we understand that we're not where
(13:54):
you want to be, We're not where any of us
want to be, but that doesn't mean we don't have
a job due to finish this thing out. I hate
hearing that stuff, and it would be something that would
make me a little bit leary of bringing a guy in,
regardless of his talent, if ultimately he's not gonna be
that type of locker room guy that wants to fight
through adverse or even fight even when there's nothing in
(14:15):
the postseason for him.
Speaker 4 (14:16):
You know, he's been playing his ass off Miles Garrett
on a terrible team with a disaster quarterback and still
was out there final week of the season playing hard. Yeah,
like not like, no mailing it in, no, nothing, And
I don't I don't know if he had any accelerators
he was trying to hit or anything like that.
Speaker 5 (14:33):
I don't think he was.
Speaker 4 (14:35):
You mean incentives, Yeah, escalators like you or you Yeah,
the incentives you hit a bonus, you get a sack,
you get a half sack.
Speaker 2 (14:43):
You're all like an escalator.
Speaker 4 (14:44):
You kept saying, accelerate, Yeah, I don't know whatever accelerat escalator.
Speaker 5 (14:47):
I don't know.
Speaker 6 (14:48):
Can you can you recover from this if you're taber kill.
Can can you go back in spite of you being
in a moment saying that that's that's the question that
comes to mind for me. Can you overcome that that quote?
Can you overcome that moment in time?
Speaker 5 (15:05):
Now?
Speaker 3 (15:06):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (15:06):
Can you just say sounds emotional? It was after a
loss like that was you know?
Speaker 2 (15:10):
I mean, I don't know. I mean, I'm sure you
can come.
Speaker 1 (15:12):
Back and apologize or whatever, but I just I don't
know in game if that's like if the medical staff
has checked you out and they're like, yeah, no, he
just doesn't want to play.
Speaker 2 (15:23):
He doesn't feel like we're being competitive.
Speaker 1 (15:25):
He could try to dispute that all he wants, but
it should be conduct detrimental to the team.
Speaker 2 (15:30):
And it's sad to hear.
Speaker 1 (15:31):
That because I think he's been a good teammate, good
leader the time that he's been in Miami. That's what's
surprising about it is despite the adversity they faced, he's
he's been like that guy where it feels like he
said the right thing, has done the right things up
until the last game of the season, when it's still
you know, have an outside chance of trying to make
(15:52):
the playoffs.
Speaker 5 (15:55):
O don't know, man, that's that.
Speaker 6 (15:57):
If I'm in the Dolphin situation, this is a comp
play off season for them, very complex. It'll be interesting
to see how they navigate it. So how do you
approach your quarterback situation? I know, you got to hope obviously,
that's the first thing that you're going to do. You
gotta hope that tool can stay healthy, you know, for
the upcoming season. But how do you approach that position?
(16:19):
Tyreek Hill is a major part of your offense. How
do you approach that situation?
Speaker 4 (16:23):
What do you mean? We just figured it out here
on the air. Trade Tyreek Hill to the Steelers, Send
George Pickens back to the Dolphins. Figure out a way
to make up the difference.
Speaker 5 (16:30):
I doubt that. I doubt that. I doubt that they.
Speaker 2 (16:33):
Will want to seem like a good idea.
Speaker 5 (16:35):
Yeah, why not?
Speaker 4 (16:36):
You know, like two disgruntled wide receivers, you know, send
them walking, you know, send them to go to somewhere else,
you know, why not?
Speaker 2 (16:43):
I don't know.
Speaker 6 (16:44):
Yeah, come on, I think that the Steelers would would
do something like that. I don't know why the Dolphins would.
Why would the Dolphins do it?
Speaker 4 (16:54):
Just trust that George Pickens you know in South Beach
is going to be more focused on on a ball. Yeah,
you know, it feels like that's the that's the solution there,
you know. So we'll look, uh, Tyreek Hill Miami, they're
going home, and the Denver Broncos are on their way
to the playoffs, so they they.
Speaker 5 (17:15):
Have as chiefs you know.
Speaker 4 (17:18):
Yeah, I mean listen to if to stays healthy, that
team's a playoff team, and Tyreek Hill's numbers look a
lot better, you know, but they weren't and this is
what you're getting from them.
Speaker 5 (17:32):
So it'd be interesting to.
Speaker 4 (17:33):
See interesting bookends to the season for Tyreek Hill. Though
he got arrested in week one and then uh, I'm
just saying that is an interesting way. I don't know
that anybody's had a you know, had something like that
to where arrested week one, benched week eighteen.
Speaker 5 (17:52):
Just interesting, So.
Speaker 6 (17:56):
One may reference getting arrested as being bentched. Great point,
So that would be a great uh comparison, great sorts.
Speaker 5 (18:08):
That's a great point. It is two pros and a
cup of Joe.
Speaker 4 (18:11):
Here on Fox Sports Radio, LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas
Knox with you coming up next here from the tirag
dot com studios. We are going to get more into
Black Monday. Some rumors stuff out there about potential moving
on from coaches around the league in the NFL, that's
yours right here on FSR.
Speaker 3 (18:29):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Arrington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern, three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 4 (18:42):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe Fox Sports Radio,
LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you here. Coming
up in about twenty minutes from now, we will have
another edition of Lee's Leftovers here on a banged up
Monday of the show. It is also a Black Monday
in the NFL. This is typical around the league or
a team start to.
Speaker 5 (19:03):
Move on from coaches. Hi up top.
Speaker 4 (19:05):
The Patriots didn't waste any time. They moved on from
Gerrod Mayo yesterday shortly after their game ended against the
Buffalo Bills.
Speaker 5 (19:14):
And the latest has just come out.
Speaker 3 (19:18):
Now breaking news from Fox Sports.
Speaker 4 (19:23):
That the Jacksonville Jaguars have fired head coach Doug Peterson
after three seasons. Owner Shod Cohn released the following statement quote,
I had the difficult task this morning of informing Doug
Peterson of my intention to hire a new head coach
to lead the Jacksonville Jaguars. Doug is an accomplished football
man who will undoubtedly enjoy another chapter and his impressive
(19:45):
NFL career. I will be rooting for Doug and his wife,
Jeanie when that occasion arrives. As much as Doug and
I both wish the experience here in Jacksonville would have
ended better, I have an obligation first and foremost to
serve the best interests of our team and especially our
fa who faithfully support our team and are overdue to
be rewarded in that spirit. The time to summon new
(20:06):
leadership is now, and here's the key portion. I strongly
believe it is possible next season to restore the winning
environment we had here not long ago. I will collaborate
with general manager Trent Balky and others within and close
to our organization to hire a leader who shares my
ambition and is ready to seize the extraordinary opportunity we
(20:28):
will offer in Jacksonville. Again that from Shod con the
Jags owner upon announcing the decision to fire Doug Peterson.
Speaker 2 (20:35):
Good luck, Jacksonville, good luck.
Speaker 1 (20:38):
You've got a guy in Trent Balke who's pulling all
the strings behind the scenes. And I wish I could
tell you everything that I was, like learned and was
told before the game yesterday, even during the game.
Speaker 5 (20:49):
Oh no, I.
Speaker 1 (20:50):
Wish I could tell you everything. But I'll leave it
at this. This is why you find bad organizations because
there's certain people who get the ear of an owner,
and that owner only wants to listen to them. And
this narrative started before the season. Trent Balkey set up
(21:11):
the Jaguars and Doug Peterson specifically to fail. By the way,
after going nine to eight two seasons in a row,
I mean, this is the only year he's had a
losing record there. They went to the playoffs the first
year they won the wild card round. They lost to
the Kansas City Chiefs, who went on to win the
Super Bowl that year. But the point is, you didn't
(21:31):
have your starter for seven games of the season, in
Trevor Lawrence. Most teams are going to struggle to be
competitive in that case, and actually they wore them. The
sense of how many at least one score games this
team played yesterday. They didn't have their best defensive player
in Josh heinz Allen. You know, they lost Christian Kirk,
they lost Gabe Davis, pieces that were brought on to
(21:52):
this team to help out their receiving corps. They had
to rely on a rookie wide receiver who, luckily and
Brian Thomas Jr. Continued to come along as the year
went along. They lost Evan Ingram, their mismatch at tight end.
They going to rely on another younger player in Breton
Strange at Penn State or what up Penn State. But
it's hard to win, man, It's hard to win when
(22:14):
you don't have your top line talent, let alone your
starting quarterback for seven games of the season. And so
you're gonna bring in who Ben Johnson.
Speaker 5 (22:23):
About to say? What direction do you go in from?
Speaker 1 (22:25):
That's so there's you think of an offensive minded guy, right,
So Ben Johnson's gonna be the guy everyone wants.
Speaker 2 (22:31):
I wouldn't go there.
Speaker 1 (22:32):
I mean you're looking at it saying, well, yeah, you
got Trevor Lawrence, but you got a guy in Trent
Bulke who's going to undercut you and if things don't
work out or the blame starts to get pointed at
Trent Balke, he's going to try to point that right
back at whoever that head coach is, Ben Johnson or whoever.
Speaker 6 (22:46):
You know.
Speaker 1 (22:46):
Cliff Kingsbury has been rumored as one of those other
hot offensive mines, but he can be really selective. He's
still getting paid as a head coach from Arizona in
the next season, so from from a monetary standpoint, there's
no reason for him to move move on to another
head coaching gig unless he feels like it's the right
situation and circumstance for him to succeed, given that it's
(23:08):
a second time around, and you usually get a couple.
Speaker 2 (23:11):
Of shots at it if you get your second shot.
Speaker 1 (23:14):
So I'm sure there's some people who might take an
issue with this. I don't care because at this point
I know too much and the culture in that organization,
the football culture is not right because of Trent Bulky.
Speaker 2 (23:29):
And that's a guy who.
Speaker 1 (23:30):
Go back through the last coaches that have been fired
after you know one and done's Jim tom Sula, Chip
Kelly and San Francisco, both with Trent Bulky.
Speaker 2 (23:40):
And now you go.
Speaker 1 (23:40):
Through this with you know, the first year this Jacksonville
Jaguars team faces injuries, they don't win a bunch of
football games, and it's the.
Speaker 2 (23:47):
First time they're like, oh, let's just go ahead and
fire the head coach.
Speaker 1 (23:53):
It's an awful move. It's one in which I look
at this job and just go it will never be
a good job because it is. I mean, Sean Cohn
will spend money, he'll be patient too. What until you
get Bulky out of there, it's gonna be the same story.
Speaker 3 (24:06):
Man.
Speaker 4 (24:06):
He chased Jim Harbaugh away in San Francisco, like that
was part of the reason why Harbaugh had a falling
out with the Niners is because of Trent Balky. And look,
Pete Prisco has been when saying this for weeks and
weeks and weeks and it's like, oh, yeah, Pete, but
you're you know, you're just But it.
Speaker 5 (24:23):
Feels like.
Speaker 4 (24:26):
People are now questioning, or at least the instant reaction.
People are questioning, like, wow, so Doug's gone, but but
Balky retain. It's that's a weird spot. And yeah, the
Ben Johnson stuff has been out there that you know
he likes the setup there in Jacksonville. But damn man,
there's a lot of evidence to suggest that. You know,
(24:48):
you're dealing with somebody who's gonna be able to bend
the air of the owner whatever the hell they want.
Speaker 1 (24:53):
I mean, I mean taking account the Eagles. Howie Roseman
is like this too. He's the one controlling everything. So
if you're a head coach, you take on that job.
And it just ironic that Doug Peterson was there. You know,
in his prior stint you kind of know what you're
getting yourself into.
Speaker 5 (25:07):
Now.
Speaker 1 (25:07):
I don't know if Doug knew that maybe before he
got into it, or Chip Kelly knew that before he
got into it, But once you take it on, and
I think after those two specifically, like Nick Siriani knows it. Yeah,
he knows what he's signing up for. And who's got
the year of the owner? I mean that's what this is,
almost like a game of Thrones behind the scenes power struggle,
like who's got the year of the owner? Who's able
(25:29):
to persuade him to you know, basically point the blame
at whoever one things don't go right, But when there's
adversity that strikes, it's crazy.
Speaker 5 (25:40):
Yeah, that sucks.
Speaker 4 (25:41):
That's a that's a rough, rough situation with the Jags,
who are just gonna have to deal with, you know,
whoever Trent, Trent Balkey and company decides they want to
go with and.
Speaker 6 (25:51):
If they want to go with it, if that coach
that they're going after wants to play ball with them.
Speaker 5 (25:58):
I mean, if you're a coach or the option, and.
Speaker 4 (26:02):
This has to be a deterrent correct like absolutely, start
you start looking around going I don't know, maybe you.
Speaker 6 (26:08):
Know, you're definitely going to take a deep dive into
as in as to why they're in the situation that
they're in, and you gotta you gotta take take a
deep dive into what what scenario are you walking into
With Trevor Lawrence as well. I mean, I think he's
at a very volatile state of his career. It seemingly
(26:29):
could go either way. He could either be you know,
start to live up to the potential of what the
hype was that represented him when he was coming out,
or he could slowly kind of drift into being one
of those quarterbacks that could have been could have been quarterback.
And you know, there's a lot there, there's a lot
to that, So I think they do have weapons. They
(26:51):
do have some some you know, pieces in play where
you'd say that there isn't a horrible foundation there in Jacksonville.
So who is it that you would bring in that's
going to actually, you know, have the time for one
and two know exactly what it is that you need
to do under the circumstances that were just laid out
(27:14):
in front of you. Is it possible to have success?
Speaker 4 (27:18):
Adam Schefter also reporting that the Giants are expected to
retain Brian day Ball as the head coach there, which
like that or not? Yeah, well what they say about
Joe Shane though.
Speaker 5 (27:30):
He will return his GM as well too.
Speaker 1 (27:32):
Okay, I mean Dave da Bowl I had an inside
feeling that he was safe. I didn't know about Joe
Shane from someone I know. I was a little bit
curious to see how that would go.
Speaker 4 (27:44):
But that and you guys early, well, you guys have
talked about that's stable. I mean, that's at least ownership
that's respected around them.
Speaker 1 (27:51):
So here's the other thing I'll throw out there. And
just for you guys that say it hits you, there's
an element of you'd keep on some in the position
that's gonna be in charge of constructing the roster at
this point because you got to get through freege, so
you gotta get through the draft. There's a lot of
work that's been done that in some cases, you don't
(28:12):
want to stop that until necessarily after all of that.
Now you wouldn't be doing them a favor by moving
on from them. But like, if you're Shod Cohn and
you want Ben Johnson that bad. What if Ben Johnson
comes in and says, I don't want Trent Bulky, Are
you gonna fire him? Then might have to Because here's
the other part is what if Ben Johnson makes it
(28:32):
very clear that he wants to bring in a general
manager he's close with what do you think Balky's gonna
say to Shodkhan.
Speaker 4 (28:40):
He's gonna set himself up to get fired.
Speaker 1 (28:43):
I mean that's the problem with like again that this
whole setup, Shod con He's a step back and look
at this entire situation and go, okay, like, how's this
gonna work? Because I need to make sure there's a
working relationship between a general manager and head coach. And
everywhere Trent Balky goes, he undercuts the head coach and
the coaching staff.
Speaker 2 (29:04):
It's unbelievable. Man, this guy's got nine lives.
Speaker 5 (29:08):
Maybe they need to break out of Berno on his ass.
Damn ha.
Speaker 6 (29:15):
This is a read by LeVar Arrington. I did not
mean that that was a joke. But listen, the best

And he's going to be in.
Speaker 4 (31:45):
A particularly sour mood after the Arizona State loss, so
you know, it should be fun to.
Speaker 5 (31:51):
Hear from Pete.
Speaker 1 (31:51):
Do you think he's gonna also get fooled by the
online social media?
Speaker 2 (31:56):
I think that's been going on.
Speaker 5 (31:57):
That's just a wht old wild story.
Speaker 2 (32:03):
What that Lee got surprising? What I mean that got
duped by that? I mean makes sense to me?
Speaker 4 (32:12):
Sure it does, all right?
Speaker 5 (32:15):
I just a man better better. I'm just waitting reading
this this article. Yeah, what article?
Speaker 2 (32:28):
Which one?
Speaker 5 (32:28):
Which one? Is there an article out on something has
to do with sports? Sports?
Speaker 6 (32:36):
Uh, television personalities? Oh yeah, executives. It's a it's a
uh it's a movie. I'll tell you that. Oh yeah,
sitting here reading an article on it, I haven't seen it.
Speaker 5 (32:50):
What happened?
Speaker 6 (32:54):
The workplace has been been a interesting place apparently, all
kinds of different versions of how things possibly could have
been happening.
Speaker 4 (33:04):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (33:06):
Yeah, not familiar with with that story. There, no no
I list no comment.
Speaker 6 (33:13):
Yeah, I have no comment either. Yeah, I'm stay away
from it, but I was reading about it.
Speaker 5 (33:19):
Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 6 (33:21):
There's a lot of joking and shucking and jabbing going
on on social media over it right now.
Speaker 2 (33:26):
I mean, isn't there a show today?
Speaker 5 (33:29):
I don't know. Is there a couple? Is there a
couple of shows today?
Speaker 2 (33:32):
It's me wild to see if that happens.
Speaker 6 (33:33):
I mean one comes on before the other. You know
what one should be on right now.
Speaker 1 (33:39):
If you lived in like a snowy area, you know
where the studios and all that was, you can just
be like, oh, snow day, can't make it into work.
Speaker 2 (33:46):
But that is not the case until that.
Speaker 6 (33:49):
I just wonder, I wonder why we didn't turn on
that channel to see if that show was on, because
isn't it on right now?
Speaker 5 (33:57):
Shouldn't it be coming on right now?
Speaker 2 (33:58):
I don't think so.
Speaker 6 (34:00):
Okay, I think it's like one of them be coming
on right after.
Speaker 5 (34:04):
Us is it right after us over an hour away? Okay? Yeah?
And uh, are you going to.
Speaker 2 (34:10):
Be watching snow? I've got built, yeah, I got built.
Speaker 6 (34:17):
Okay, Santanna winds are coming, so I gotta shovel some
snow too, So I gotta build an excuse I'm saying,
I gotta shovel some sand.
Speaker 5 (34:26):
When that? When that time?
Speaker 2 (34:29):
I thought you're gonna drink some tea.
Speaker 5 (34:31):
Yeah, maybe some some LeVar Allen tea.
Speaker 4 (34:33):
Maybe rewatch the challenge from last night. Maybe you should
rewatch the challenge. Dang, I'm going to be watching and
see what happens with that show. I'm curious and the
other one. How's this all going to play out? I
used to work there. It's interesting. I know the names
being mentioned. I know the person who fouled and everything. Interesting, man,
(34:58):
And it's interesting when you worked at a place for it,
like a few years and stuff like that, and you
you know, just know people where you watch.
Speaker 5 (35:07):
It's just interesting, man. Man.
Speaker 4 (35:09):
They're showing some of the weather in the Midwest right
there's a whole lot of snow.
Speaker 5 (35:12):
You're at your mind if you live out there, I
know you. It's crazy snowing everywhere right now. It is
time for this.
Speaker 3 (35:22):
Least might smell a little funk. Sounds incredible, but they're
still good. Time to find out what's lack? It's least
slap job?
Speaker 5 (35:32):
Sorry, Lee, what do we got? Well?
Speaker 8 (35:35):
If you're lock oh man, if you're looking for something
to watch, you try watching the reruns of the Golden
Globes last night. You know, the Golden Globes aired last
night with Nikki Glazer. She got glowing uh critical acclaim
for her hosting jobs at the Golden Globes, the Brutalist
one along with Amelia Perez for Best Pictures. I tried
(35:57):
to watch The Brutalist and immediately fell asleep and was
kicked out of the theater for snoring.
Speaker 5 (36:03):
This weekend. So that's crazy. This might be a dumb question.
Speaker 6 (36:08):
That's crazy. You got kicked out of a out of
a movie theater for snoring?
Speaker 4 (36:15):
Louder you were crushing louder.
Speaker 5 (36:18):
You were crushing it.
Speaker 6 (36:20):
If you got kicked out of a movie theater for that,
that is crazy.
Speaker 4 (36:24):
You guys, remember so Berto, Hey, this is one of Meay,
this is one of my favorite burto This is one
of my This is one of my favorite Roberto moments.
And if he's listening. He'll remember this. Lee fell asleep
in the chair behind Berto when we were at the
other studio.
Speaker 5 (36:46):
And I didn't know.
Speaker 4 (36:47):
So Berto's laughing through the glass and I don't know
what he's laughing at because we were nothing was funny.
And I hit the talk back to Roberto. I'm like, hey,
what's uh what are you laughing at? And like he's like, oh,
tell you the break. I'll tell you the break. So
we get to break. I walk into the other studio.
Bros Like this fool was passed out back here. Domle goes,
(37:10):
Oh yeah, man, I was sawing logs. He was starring
so loud that Perno couldn't be focused on the job.
And you got kicked out of a theater with that
same snore. That's yeah, you might have.
Speaker 6 (37:25):
That's a crazy snore sound man, that's like sleep apne
I do.
Speaker 5 (37:29):
It's a problem. Certainly is a swallow one. You're a tongue. Yeah,
it happens other things.
Speaker 8 (37:37):
You could watch though. Hey, we got a football championship tonight,
some division tournament. We got North Dakota State versus Montana State.
Speaker 1 (37:44):
Oh yeah, North Dakota State continue their reign.
Speaker 5 (37:50):
Probably I don't know. I don't neither.
Speaker 8 (37:53):
I used to travel to Montana State every summer. Why
because I had a friend who was going there.
Speaker 4 (38:00):
Oh okay, I would.
Speaker 8 (38:01):
I would drive up there, go through the National Parks,
go through.
Speaker 4 (38:04):
Yellowstone, drive up there every summer. Yeah, that's a long drive.
Speaker 2 (38:08):
How long it take you.
Speaker 8 (38:09):
It's a it's a two or three day thing. So
it's like a seventeen hour if you just went straight.
Speaker 5 (38:13):
By the way. Uh, Montana State a three point favorite
on draft can really.
Speaker 4 (38:19):
Oh so, Jonas, what where are you landing here? Let's
le's see your betting advice.
Speaker 5 (38:22):
I just take North Dakota State with three points? Why not?
Speaker 2 (38:25):
Right?
Speaker 5 (38:25):
I like that? Okay, go Bobcats.
