Let's give this pun.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 3 (00:34):
Well, what thanks for the heads up? What's the meaning
behind it? I'm just curious what's the meaning behind the song?
I mean I'd like to know, uh, next time, if
we're going to be changing songs, Oh, I'm never changing
I'm not doing anything. Clearly, those who change their songs
(00:58):
are those who had the ability to change them. What
do you mean, Oh, you've changed it, so you've got
the ability to change it.
Speaker 1 (01:06):
I like switching it up.
Speaker 3 (01:07):
Yeah, what is it? What's to give me the meaning?
What do you mean give us? Stevie wonder you like
to beat?
Speaker 1 (01:13):
I always try to think of songs that if you
took out the lyrics, like you got to hear the
beat coming in and you're like, I could walk to that.
You know I can drive to that.
Speaker 3 (01:20):
Okay, I didn't know if you was trying to send
a message out or something.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
Okay, no, I actually try to This is stupid. This
is the stuff I'll do when I think about our
show and I'm like, uh, what would be like a
cool intro song? And I always listen to things without
the lyrics because I always feel like the beats and
the way it sounds like, that's like what you would want.
It's kind of like your walkout song. You know what
I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (01:45):
Okay, I got you. That was my song. If that
was my walkout song, you walk back in.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
I'm good.
Speaker 3 (01:50):
I'll stand. So you don't like Stevie Wonder, No, I don't.
Speaker 1 (01:54):
You're so dude eater. I gotta be honest, man, you
got to stop doing this doing what you hate everything,
like you just hate everything. It's like a loser deal.
It's it's not that's like, don't don't be that guy.
Speaker 3 (02:08):
That so do you think people.
Speaker 1 (02:09):
Driving the car right now want to listen to every
single day?
Speaker 3 (02:13):
This sucks?
Speaker 1 (02:14):
This sucks. That sucks.
Speaker 4 (02:15):
It's nothing like Donald Trump like it's fired. Then there's
nothing wrong. That song is fired with.
Speaker 3 (02:22):
Stevie Wonder, he does great work. The song sucks. You
know what people said he can see. There's like a
whole bunch of people you really.
Speaker 4 (02:35):
Well, there's like there's like some really famous people that
have said like he could see.
Speaker 1 (02:40):
Yeah, Jonas is the dude who used to shop shop
and still does a hot topic and then like just
the whole it's just the whole thing.
Speaker 4 (02:47):
I've been in hot topic in like at least a year. Yeah,
do y'all think you can see yonder?
Speaker 3 (02:54):
Yes? Do you think you can see? Honestly? Uh, I
don't know.
Speaker 1 (03:00):
I still I will never get over the Doctor Dre
Kevin Hardy interview when Doctor Dre said how he called
me three a M and okay, he's like, because you know,
just know what time it is, Kevin and.
Speaker 5 (03:17):
Kevin Hart can't, like you can't gather himself to continue
the conversation, and Doctor Dre keeps laughing. He's like, don't
make me do this. He's like, I'm not I'm not
making fun of this, but in reality, it's it is
a funny concept, like if you think about it, you know,
so for.
Speaker 4 (03:34):
All he knows, like we're afternoon Drive exactly if he
was tune in right now listening to his own song and.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
Be like, oh, these guys know what's going on? A
little happy hour song something.
Speaker 3 (03:44):
Yeah, he probably heard.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
I bet I bet Lee likes that song.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
Why I do love that song.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
It's just it's a happy song, I think.
Speaker 3 (03:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (03:56):
Okay, yeah, you gotta have a little Stevie uh CDs
and in the car always put on some.
Speaker 3 (04:01):
Superstition Okay, still have CDs?
Speaker 4 (04:05):
Yeah, Tang, Yeah, me too. Do you really I have
a CD? Well, of course you have a CD player
in your truck.
Speaker 3 (04:13):
What do you think? I know, Tang, I don't know.
The last time I've seen a CD. They still sell them,
they still sell them ds.
Speaker 7 (04:24):
Well, that's a good question.
Speaker 4 (04:27):
I don't know.
Speaker 7 (04:27):
I haven't bought a CD in a long time.
Speaker 4 (04:29):
Bro.
Speaker 3 (04:29):
My parents were talking to me about the stuff I have,
like a whole bunch of stuff stored at my parents' house,
right and they were talking to me about my game film.
And I don't know the first way I go on
if I wanted to try to get my game film,
why not from high school? Converted? I don't know how
you convert it at their VHS.
Speaker 1 (04:51):
You convert it to it. Now you can just convert
to like download or DVD. I literally had to do
this when I was in high school because a lot
of our tape was filmed in DHS, and I had
to convert it to a DVD to then send out
the teams. And I used to sit in the library
and burn CDs based on this whole conversion thing.
Speaker 3 (05:09):
You gotta do all that. You gotta burn it to
a like you gotta get it to a seed and
then burn it to a DVD.
Speaker 1 (05:15):
Yeah, and then now, well, I mean you'd burn it
to a DVD or now I assume you'd be able
to figure out a way of downloading it just off
of converting the VHS.
Speaker 3 (05:25):
Maybe I'm long with highlights as too many highlights with
as many great plays as you made. Too many highlights
ninety three to ninety ninety seven. That's that's too many
highlights in college from high school. I mean, but my college,
my college film is on tape too, but it is
high school is high school film? North Hills Hammer.
Speaker 1 (05:47):
Come on, man, you know what we you know what
I love. I think I think it's the coolest thing
now Penn State. In my opinion, don't get upset Notre
Dame fans there. All white unions are the cleanest in
college for I'm sorry, Like it's just clean, clean, and
there's nothing like the all whites and a white out
that atmosphere just clean. That being said, one of the
(06:12):
coolest traditions. And we had it at our high school.
I think it went away, but it's going to come
back now. And like Ohio State does it, some of
their schools do. It. Is the helmet stickers. When you
see a dude walk out, I love it. With a
ton of helmet stickers, you're like, damn.
Speaker 3 (06:26):
Like I remember in high school sold mine what I
used to sell them to, like the the the jvers
because I was what I would have so many.
Speaker 4 (06:38):
Do No, you gotta load up your helmet, man. I
had no more space. Bro Oh okay, I had no
more space on my hed Yeah. Yeah, yeah, we're all there,
we get it.
Speaker 3 (06:46):
I had to start selling. I sell them for like
like a dollar or to like the JV guys. So
they have like you know, three four the stickers on
their helmets. But there were a couple that you just
didn't give away, Like there were the bigger ones, the
old school ones that that's the Crossbones and and the Indian.
You you couldn't give those away because now you had
(07:07):
two separate ones that meant that you got player of
the game. So you had the Tomahawk. Tomahawk was was
for defense and the Indian was for offense. So if
you got Indian, you know, decal or whatever that was,
because you had like one hundred yards Russian or you
had such and such, uh, you know, receiving yards.
Speaker 4 (07:31):
And then the other one be like tackles sacks. You
have different types, and if you got.
Speaker 1 (07:36):
You only had one, which like they didn't give them out,
like you could have your All World game. You get
like one sticker, two stickers, maybe I got you.
Speaker 3 (07:43):
So that's where like, but it's still dope though. It's
a dope because because.
Speaker 1 (07:47):
You also knew when you went out and you're I mean,
like in high school back then, it's not like you
could really scout, like you had to have someone go
in person to go watch or maybe have one of
those gigantic cameras with like a VHS tape to go scout.
Speaker 3 (07:58):
That dude come out mid season, he's the one exactly.
Speaker 1 (08:05):
That's a bad one. You're taking your.
Speaker 3 (08:08):
Helmet off differently too. Boy, you come up, you a
captain at the taba.
Speaker 2 (08:13):
Bring it up, y'all.
Speaker 3 (08:14):
You take the helmet out.
Speaker 1 (08:16):
The worst helmet. The worst though, was when you'd see
a dude with all the stickers and you're like, man,
he hadn't looked the part, but alright, like his helmet does.
Speaker 4 (08:25):
Dang.
Speaker 3 (08:25):
You start figuring out why I got autumn.
Speaker 1 (08:27):
Yeah, you're like, all right, I see what's happening here.
Speaker 3 (08:31):
That's pretty dope. Yeah, you brought back a memory, but
I will not be sitting down to try to convert
my high school filmy too much.
Speaker 1 (08:38):
You could pay to do that.
Speaker 3 (08:40):
Yeah, I guess you're right. I guess you're right. Maybe
that's they had people that really do that, like convert.
There's probably a lot of people in U in p
A that would be honored to break down the great
LeVar Arrington.
Speaker 1 (08:52):
P A probably isn't going to be ten dollars. Foreign
country had do that for a reasonable price.
Speaker 3 (08:56):
Going to be ten dollars my guy for me? Yeah,
because you're being passive aggressive right now. Understand one passive aggressive.
I don't like it. You came into the segment hating
on on Stevie Wonder, then you start hating on que
a little bit like then now you're hating on me. Like,
I don't like it, Bro, I don't like this passive
aggressiveness that that you're you're your exercise.
Speaker 4 (09:20):
I don't understand you got to be better man. I
don't understand why I'm being to be a better person.
Speaker 8 (09:25):
Bro.
Speaker 7 (09:26):
You send your stuff into Legacy box. They used to
do stuff with us. Yeah, Legacy box, they'll dig you.
Speaker 3 (09:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (09:33):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (09:34):
I'm more of a ship station guy myself, but you.
Speaker 4 (09:36):
Know, okay, ship station they'll they'll they'll convert my I
don't know, but we just gotta ask.
Speaker 3 (09:43):
Huh the great the great ship station. Try to say
that real quick three times. I don't want to for
what you're passive aggressive.
Speaker 4 (09:58):
I'm celebrating your greatness. I don't understand what.
Speaker 3 (10:05):
Topic, bro. All right, well listen it is.
Speaker 4 (10:07):
It's two pros and a cup of Joe here on
Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 3 (10:11):
All right.
Speaker 4 (10:12):
Like, I just I feel like this is all on
the up and up and being legitimate here. I want
to remind, want to remind people here by the way
express employment professionals can provide contract workers to flex up
for peak seasons without having to raise your core workforce
head count. Manage your workforce differently. Visit expresspros dot com today,
that's expresspros dot com. And speaking of going pro, who
(10:34):
will be going pro and to which team? On Thursday
in the Draft, find out on Fox Sports Radio's Draft
Night Live, which is Thursday night at a pm Eastern
Time throughout the first round of the Draft. Insider Jay Glazer,
former Jets GM Joe Douglas, Fox Sports Lead college football
reporter Jenny Taft, and the star of the show, the
(10:55):
one and Only the Magnificent College Football Hall of Famer.
Speaker 3 (11:01):
Ladies and gentlemen, love all. Oh you're in on this?
Speaker 2 (11:08):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (11:09):
Okay, okay.
Speaker 1 (11:16):
Oh, I hope you.
Speaker 3 (11:18):
Pass out Stick City Errington. I mean, that's the first
time I've seen color in your face. Damn you you
sell like Paul Hayman there. Oh no, who's Paul Hayman?
Speaker 9 (11:34):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (11:34):
Why did you bring that? Did you bring him up?
Speaker 1 (11:36):
I don't know. Wasn't he on WW like WrestleMania?
Speaker 3 (11:40):
Wait here, Paul Hayman? That was with uh Pat McAfee.
Oh oh that Paul Hayman.
Speaker 4 (11:46):
Well, let me just give out the particulars on this
first so they will all have you covered for all
thirty two picks. That's Thursday, a pm Eastern time, throughout
the first round of the Draft, live right here on
Fox Sports Radio with a live video i'mill cast on
the Fox Sports Radio YouTube page, presented by Express pro
Paul Hayman. I don't understand, like, is there a is
(12:08):
there sound or something of Paul Hayman, Like do we
have is there like Paul Hayman sound like that name
doesn't Apparently he's got a great comparison that does that
doesn't sound familiar for some reason.
Speaker 3 (12:18):
I'm standing, Yeah, I don't. Well, let's hear it. I mean,
let's hear what he had sound.
Speaker 8 (12:23):
As much good to my reputation, Shannon Sharp does to ESPN. No, boy,
all right, see, I'm all, we don't need we don't
need that. I don't be I'm not the one getting sued. Okay.
Speaker 4 (12:41):
Oh oh yeah, I know, I know, I know.
Speaker 3 (12:48):
You know who he is. Now, I got it, Yeah,
I got it. So apparently he believes that see him
punk is a bad influence on his on his reputation.
I mean, is that is that kind of the conclusion
that we draw from from that statement, is that see
Them Punk to him and his reputation is Shannon Sharp
(13:10):
to ESPN's reputation?
Speaker 4 (13:12):
Is that what he was going for? I'm just I
just want to be clear. I just like being clear
on things. Is that not quite sure?
Speaker 8 (13:19):
So?
Speaker 3 (13:19):
Is that was that? I mean? Because he could be
saying it and it be positive, Like, did See Them
Punk have a positive impact on Hayman's reputation or was
it negative? Now he turned on him? What happened? Tell me,
explain to me what happened?
Speaker 4 (13:34):
You know, he he crossed him, He see him Punk,
thought they were on the same team, and he turned
on him, and like in real.
Speaker 3 (13:42):
Life or just just part of a wrestling story. Do
you guys believe that it was scripted to say that
what he said about ESPN and Shannon Sharp with Pat McAfee.
Speaker 4 (13:54):
I mean, Pat McAfee is with ESPN, Yeah, and so
Shannon Sharp.
Speaker 3 (14:00):
It's unfortunate that Pat was putting such an uncomfortable spot,
Like was that uncomfortable? Come on, man, what's your take
on this? Que I'm because I'm just trying to understand it.
Speaker 1 (14:11):
I know I'm the last person to speak on this
because I don't follow the WWE at all. I try
my best to cover most sports or follow most sports,
just so I can somewhat be in the known case
we need to talk about it. This is one that
I do not follow at all, So I'm arrested much man. Okay, Well,
much like everyone else I do. I do know who
Paul Hayman is, But much like everyone else, I had
(14:33):
no idea in regards to the backstory on See Them
Punk or even the situation with Shannon Sharp, Like I
actually had to kind of look that up and see
some of what was out there to fully understand what
was taking place. So I apologize, I'm unprepared for this topic,
be very honest about that.
Speaker 3 (14:49):
That's all right, Well, we know you're you're prepared on everything.
Speaker 1 (14:52):
By the way, there's a lot of things that he
said when I went back and watched some of the clips,
which I get, I don't know the context of that
stuff either. It will and just specific about Sampung Shannon Sharp,
there's some other stuff that was throwing out there.
Speaker 3 (15:04):
And in the wrestling world, you're supposed to have stick
like you're you're you're supposed to have like you know,
how how you how you I mean, help me out here, Joan.
It's like you're supposed to be able to talk trash
in a way. Like by the way that one Clipper's
referring to Brady. I don't think we should be playing
(15:25):
that one. Why not? That one probably won't land well,
that one won't hit well. All Hayman went to, huh, well,
you say, tell.
Speaker 4 (15:35):
Us, I'll just give us.
Speaker 3 (15:38):
An overview, give us a.
Speaker 4 (15:40):
Very controversial topics currently in this country as far as
politically people, Yeah, okay, Rachel, Yeah, yeah, okay, yeah, he
went to places.
Speaker 3 (15:53):
Where'd he go south of the border or did he
go okay, okay, yeah, all right.
Speaker 4 (15:59):
I won't be playing that at the next gathering with
the in laws that way, that will not happen. Now,
some people would say that he was firing off shots.
Let's turn our attention over to darts. Oh, Jackson Dart,
well done this. According to Connor Hughes of s n Y,
the Jackson Dart is a name to watch for the
(16:21):
Giants as a trade up option on Thursday. Sources I
touch base with said someone Brian Dayball is high on
most out of quarterbacks other than cam Ward. Among qualities,
day Ball values in qb's's toughness, Dart has that the
Giants won't be alone in that pursuit, though, matter of
how aggressive they want to be. There's not much out
(16:42):
there right now connecting shad Or Sanders to the Giants.
Speaker 3 (16:44):
The hype is cool dramatically from where it was in December.
Speaker 4 (16:48):
So Jackson Dart, maybe they don't like him well enough
to take him at number three, but there is a
thought that they would try and move up in the draft.
Speaker 3 (16:58):
To take him.
Speaker 4 (16:59):
Draft Can does have his over under draft position at
twenty four and a half.
Speaker 3 (17:04):
So there's your latest spopulation.
Speaker 1 (17:07):
I was gonna say, it's kind of confusing the way
it's a worded, but meaning move up to take him
from the second round back into the first round.
Speaker 3 (17:14):
Yeah, my understanding.
Speaker 1 (17:15):
Yeah, which is interesting because when I was reading this,
I had heard from some folks that the Saints love
Jackson Dart and after cam Mood it's Jackson Dart next.
So keep an eye on that. Take it for what
it's worth. It's Tuesday. We got a couple of days
left until the first round of the draft. But from
some folks I talked to, and look again, this is
(17:36):
that time of year where you can really use this phrase.
Do you know how I know you're lyon because your
lips are moving, and that's typically how it works around
the draft time. But from what I've heard, he could
be the one that goes second. He could be the
one that goes to the New Orleans Saints as they
really liked his potential. The concern about Derek Carr at
(17:57):
this point and his health all those things, and maybe
Kellen Mott Kellen more excuse me, would once you start
off his tenure as head coach there with his own
quarterback he's drafting, So something to consider. But I do
think it'll be interesting to see where where the second
quarterback goes and who that second quarterback is, because I
think there's some mixed opinions on that.
Speaker 3 (18:21):
Can I ask a question outside of the draft. I
know we're talking about Jackson Dart, but we continue to
talk about New Orleans coming up and them possibly wanting
a quarterback and that being an option. Why not invest
in you know, if it's ten mils to get to
get his services, why not entertain Aaron Rodgers?
Speaker 1 (18:42):
Well it's a good point.
Speaker 3 (18:44):
Why would you you know what I mean, like rookie
contract or get get Aaron Rodgers and instantly improve your team,
you know, upon the acquisition? Which one? I mean, why
is that not being tossed around? If there's a concern
at the quarterback's position for the Saints, maybe Rogers isn't interested.
Speaker 1 (19:06):
Hmm man, maybe he's He says like, I do decloe,
I don't want to play one.
Speaker 3 (19:13):
I do not want yourn No, I do not Why
did we not get big?
Speaker 8 (19:17):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (19:18):
We did get Begnets while we were there? Did I
was about to say, well, are we not kidding? And
they were good too.
Speaker 1 (19:26):
There was actually a moment, but I thought Lee. I
was like, Lee, what's that in your sleeve? It looks
like you had a little too much fun? And he's like, no,
I got a ben. I was like, oh, okay, oh
that's right.
Speaker 3 (19:38):
You had You had the Begnets with the Hurricanes. Yeah.
And he showed up for lunch.
Speaker 1 (19:49):
By the way, he had blown chunks.
Speaker 7 (19:51):
Right before, A lot of sugar, A lot of sugar.
Speaker 1 (19:58):
And we're not talking booger sugar, folks. I'm sure there's
been some boger sugar and hurricanes had together before.
Speaker 4 (20:05):
Is there is there more unhealthy breakfast of all time?
Than powdered doughnuts and hurricane.
Speaker 1 (20:12):
Hold on, it's made with real juice, all right, it
wasn't the powder substitute.
Speaker 3 (20:18):
Hammon is a demon. Bruh, straight savage. I'm reading reading,
I'm reading the quote a savage.
Speaker 1 (20:28):
What was up with John Cena? Was he lecture lecturing
the crowd?
Speaker 3 (20:32):
Yeah, he's turning bad guy now he's uh.
Speaker 1 (20:34):
Well, but what is that? Because what he's gotten smaller?
You guys brought that up.
Speaker 3 (20:38):
That's ozimpic John Cena. Jonah seems to think that it's
a good move for him. He's all natural. What listening
he might have, he might have had some hg H.
Speaker 4 (20:53):
But he used to he used to perform in clean
bodybuilding competition.
Speaker 3 (20:59):
I'm just lending you oh what he says? All right?
Speaker 4 (21:04):

Speaker 3 (22:07):
It was great? Wow? I mean wow, it's great, Pete.
Speaker 1 (22:14):
Don't you take off the entire summer? Like, don't you
literally take off the entire summer and you will not
come into work.
Speaker 9 (22:21):
Not the entire summer, but I take off a lot
of it.
Speaker 1 (22:23):
Yes, yes, and then and then from what my understanding is,
and this is all from Jamie Eisenberg, you can blame him.
You will not, and I repeat, will not go into
studio instead just work from home when they do request you.
Speaker 9 (22:37):
No, I mean if I have projects i'm working on,
I'll go into the studio and do them. If I don't,
then I'll do something from home. Absolutely, that's correct. Yeah,
I'm not that that is I'm not going to the
shy away from that. That is absolutely one correct.
Speaker 1 (22:49):
Do you do you take them one hundred years old?
Speaker 3 (22:52):
Do you tell them or do you or do you
ask them? Pete?
Speaker 9 (22:57):
Well, I mean I get my time off. I mean
it's it's it's in my contract that I get time off.
And you know, we used to get you know, per year,
how many years you've been to the company. Used to
get so many years, and they change so many weeks
and they change that. So now it's we work at
a company now where you can take as much time
off as you want to as long as you get
it approved. So I think, yeah, so I take my
(23:19):
time off. By the way I've been there is this.
I'll be twenty five years in November.
Speaker 3 (23:22):
Yeah, Congress, Yeah, I'm talking about Hey, longevity, man, This
business doesn't give longevity to too many. So good for you, mate, Pete.
Speaker 4 (23:33):
I got to ask you, how come people are giving
you a hard time about your Mason Graham thoughts now?
Speaker 3 (23:40):
Like what happened there?
Speaker 1 (23:41):
Because I love you, like Dave white El too.
Speaker 4 (23:45):
I thought you were high on him, and all of
a sudden, now people are coming after you for your rankings.
Speaker 3 (23:49):
What's going on here?
Speaker 9 (23:51):
No, I am high. I am high on him. I
think he's a good player. I just I just don't
think he's you know, a dominant, dominant player. And by
that I mean I don't if you draft him five six,
seven eight, you're not getting Jalen Carter getting a good
football player. And so that's why I went back and
I did more work on him. I've watched more tape
on him, and I like him, I don't love him,
(24:11):
and I think there's a lot of that in this draft.
I think we get a lot of guys that you
like that you don't love, and he is one of them.
And look, he's not a big guy, he's not an
overpowering guy. He plays with a lot of technique and leverage,
and the wrestling background shows up. But I just don't
know if he's going to be an elite defensive tackle,
which is why there's concerns about him, and so people
(24:33):
push back, why did you like him early in the
process because I went back and watch more of them.
That's usually what you do in this process.
Speaker 1 (24:39):
So, Pete, you do something that's pretty cool. It's your
Pete Prisco's better Than team. It's the team that you
like better than what the scouts and I guess some
of the people are putting together in mock drafts. Give
me the biggest guy, like the guy's gonna go the
highest on your better than team, Like a guy that
not many people are mocking to go in the first round,
or not many people are as high on as you
(25:01):
are in this particular draft.
Speaker 9 (25:04):
Well, Brady, with that, I try and stay what I
try and steer clear of the first rounders. That's ideally
I try to do, okay, because you know, because yeah,
I mean, there are guys I like in the first
round more than maybe than others and and so yeah,
but they're going to go in the first round. I mean,
but I don't put them on this team. And I'll
give you an example. I think Simmons Day, offensive tackle
from Ohio State, is the best offensive lineman in this
(25:26):
draft class. Yeah, I think. I mean he's when you
watch him on tape, Brady, he looks like he weighs
two hundred and forty pounds and he's twenty. Yeah, and
so I but so he would be on the team,
but he's a first rounder in my book, so I
didn't put him on the team. As far as guys
on the better than team, the captain is the better
than team, which, by the way, in the years past
has been some hits. There's been a few misses. But
(25:48):
I had Levonte David way back in the day. I
had Grady Jarrett way back in the day. My captain
this year is Jamari called Well, the defensive tackle for Oregon.
You look, you put on the tape and you watch
Oregon's defense, and I like those I like Harmon, I
like Burch a lot. But Caldwell showed up in the
biggest way. And I say that because he's a big
body guy. He probably needs to drop a few and
(26:10):
I think he'll get in better shape because he doesn't
look like that. You know, he was in the same
shape he was when he was with Houston, where he
had six and a half six. But he's one of
those guys that he plays hard all the time. And
get up the field to command the double. He's better
pass rusher you to think he is. And I think
he's one of those guys third round, somebody's going second.
Late in the second round, somebody's gonna look at him
and go, you know what, they stole him because he's
(26:31):
that kind of player, and so he was the captain
of the team. He's one of those guys. I would
put him at the back end of the first round.
I don't think he'll go there.
Speaker 3 (26:38):
Pete, you have Travis Hunter going number one, and you
made comparisons to Justin Jefferson like type talent, and me
and Q had talked about you saying that or writing
about it. So you feel like he should go number one.
That's that's the short pick. And do you think that
he can be a Justin Jefferson type of talent playing
(27:02):
both ways?
Speaker 9 (27:03):
Well, I don't know if he's going to play both ways.
I know he keeps saying he wants to play both ways,
but look, you guys have been in the NFL. You
know it's impossible to play both ways except for situationally,
and I think he can do that. I think he's
a receiver. I initially thought he was a corner, but
I think he's going to be a great receiver. And
if you're the Tennessee Titans, you said, well, we're not
going to pass on a generational talent taken quarterback. Well,
(27:25):
yes you are, because you're taking cam Ward, you're not
taking Travis Hunter. Travis Hunter is the best player in
this draft and it's not close. That's how good he is.
And so I think if you're the Tennessee Titans and
that mock draft I put out there is who they
should take mock draft, I think they should take Travis Hunter.
Worry about the quarterback class next year because I'm not
a big but look, I like cam Ward, I don't
(27:46):
love him, and when you're in a position to take
a generational player, you take him. And that's why I
put Travis Hunter in the more spot. Yes, he could
be a lot like Justin Jefferson, H.
Speaker 4 (27:56):
Pete, Chrisco joining us here on Fox Sports Radio at
Prisco CBS.
Speaker 3 (27:59):
Is where you can find find him on X.
Speaker 4 (28:01):
Is there a rumor or something you've heard as far
as a move potentially in the draft that is your
scratching your head that you don't get one that you
totally disagree with.
Speaker 9 (28:12):
I don't get the Tyler shuck and infatuation. I don't
understand that as a potential first round pick. I just
don't see it. You look, he's a big, strong armed kid,
but he bounced around about twelve schools, he had some
injury histories, he's twenty six years old. I think he's
a project. I don't see him being a first round
pick in unless and yet you hear people talking about it,
(28:35):
which is surprising to me. I don't understand that one
at all. As far as you know, guys, here's the thing.
At the top, a lot of teams. You know, there's
teams that would love to move down, nobody wants to
move up, and there's nobody biting on moving up. You
look at five, six, seven, that there's nobody nobody has
given any indication whatsoever that they want to go up
(28:56):
and get into those players, which tells you this is
a draft that has from seven to sixty five. There's
a lot of guys that are interchangeable. There's not that
many stars at the top of the draft, which is
why you don't get a lot of people clamoring to
go up and get them. So those are a lot
of things you're hearing, I don't. The quarterback infatuation to
me is crazy. I get it. If you don't have one,
(29:17):
you got to try and fix it. But if Shador Sanders, Tyler,
Shuck mill Row any of these other guys were in
last year's draft, they would have gone behind five of
those guys. If they're in next year's draft, they probably
go behind five of those guys. So why are you
panicking to fix your quarterback situation when you don't have to?
And I think that's part of the problem with drafting
(29:37):
in the NFL.
Speaker 1 (29:38):
Well, yeah, that's what i'd ask. I mean, long, look,
if we're looking at the teams that are drafting outside
of Tennessee, which you've been a big proponent of Will Levis,
but they aren't at a spot to take Cam Wore,
who everyone seems to agree is the best quarterback in
this draft class, I guess they can go that route.
But for everyone else, I mean, whether it's the New
York Giants who went the veteran route, which I know
you're not a fan of their veterans, doesn't sound like
(30:00):
they want to take a quarterback at three. Cleveland went
a unique route. They got Peckett Pickett, They've got Joe Flacco.
Maybe they could still take one, just not in the
first round. There the Saints concerns about Derek Carr and
his shoulder, So who knows if they end up taking
one at that spot. Like when you're really looking at
the landscape of who needs a quarterback, Pittsburgh's the only
(30:20):
team that really comes to mind, and they're not in
striking distance, so they're gonna have to wait essentially until
someone falls to them. And that's if Aaron Rodgers decides
he does or doesn't want to go there. So I
guess my question is, do you see Schador Jackson Dart
sliding like all the way out of the first round
(30:42):
just because of maybe the lack of need and then
there may be being between Aaron Rodgers or trading for
Kirk Cousins some other veteran options.
Speaker 9 (30:50):
Yes, I think it's possible. But again, desperation does weird
things to teams. I mean, look, if I was evaluating who's.
Speaker 1 (30:57):
The most desperate in your mind, that like you could
see taking one that if you're going to say that
you could see taking one that.
Speaker 10 (31:03):
We're talking about the Giants and and you know, you're
starting to hear rumblings around the league that maybe they're
back in on Shad or Sanders, which they shouldn't be,
but but you're starting to hear some of that as
we lead up to the draft.
Speaker 9 (31:16):
I just I just don't think that they You know,
you've got desperate people there. You got desperate guys, you
Dable and Joe Shaneer, you know, drafting for their job.
So who makes the pick? Does the ownership step in
and say, look, we're going to make the pick. This
is what you're gonna say you're gonna take. So I
think they're desperate. I think they're the most desperate team
of all of them. But if you're sitting there at
three and you got a chance to draft Abdul Carter
(31:38):
or Shador Sanders, you take Abdul Carter, you draft, you
draft the generational pass rusher and figure it out with
how many guys you have there, and then go back
and get your quarterback. I just don't understand, you know,
pushing this. I wouldn't take Shador Sanders in the first round.
I wouldn't take Jackson Dart in the first round. I
would take Shark in the first round. They wouldn't take
mill Row in the first round. That's just me, that's
(31:59):
my evaluation. I would not take any of them in
the first round. I don't love cam Ward. This is
not a great quarterback class. Next year you have a
chance to have good quarterbacks and really good quarterbacks Arch Manning,
No Smyer, Sellers. I mean, there's Levitt. There are guys
that can even guys that can emerge next year. So
why put yourself in a position where you're drafting a
(32:20):
guy that you kind of like but you don't really
love and try and fix your quarterback position. I think
that's a major mistake.
Speaker 4 (32:28):
Get him on x A. That was my favorite subtle.
I mean they might be on Sanders, they shouldn't be.
Speaker 1 (32:37):
Do you follow Paul Hammond? Do you follow ww at Alpete?
Speaker 8 (32:41):
No?
Speaker 9 (32:42):
I do not. You know what, That's one thing I've
never watched in my entire life is ww IT. I've
never even dating back to when what the back when
the Andre the Giant was a big deal. No, I
never watched it because you know why, I always knew
it was fake. If somebody really hits you over the
damn head with a chair, you're going to the emergency
(33:03):
room and you're having brain surgery, so it was they
do Pete.
Speaker 1 (33:07):
Pete, don't you know that from experience? Didn't you hit
somebody with the chair one time?
Speaker 8 (33:11):
No?
Speaker 9 (33:12):
But if I was forced to, I would.
Speaker 3 (33:16):
It's scripted, Pete. But it's real. You have to be real,
var LeVar.
Speaker 9 (33:22):
Stop it. It's not real. If somebody did it, if
somebody did what they did to another human being, that
the same stuff they try to pretend is real in
that ring, they'd be dead.
Speaker 4 (33:32):
All right, stop see look look at the happening, look
at the list anymore, Pete.
Speaker 9 (33:39):
You know what it is. It's choreographed dancing in the
ring is what it is.
Speaker 3 (33:43):
It is some of it, but some of it is
at lip.
Speaker 9 (33:47):
You know, LeVar, you're that kid that was like sixteen,
going oh my god, this is so real. It's amazing.
Speaker 3 (33:53):
No, I was just saying how awesome they were, Pete.
You know, I was just taking it at face value.
You clearly, or my cousin that was there, like where
are you watching this for? And you were running around
in your diaper? That's what it was, Pete. If you
could hit, if you could, when I go at twelve
years old at twelve years old.
Speaker 4 (34:12):
Though, Pete, Pete, Pete, if you could, if you could
hit one media member over the head with a steel chair,
who would it be.
Speaker 9 (34:19):
I will keep that too, I will keep that to myself.
Speaker 1 (34:22):
Come on, smart, that's a veteran move right.
Speaker 4 (34:28):
At Prisco CBS. Pete, we appreciate it, enjoy the draft.
We'll talk next week.

Big shout out to some friends of the show.
Speaker 6 (35:48):
How about Bobo who I ran into live Bobo out
at California Adventure out here Disneyland Park was out.
Speaker 3 (35:54):
There for a little event. They closed down the park.
Speaker 6 (35:58):
I saw Bobo there, had a good time with him
as well as Monte was there. Rode in with her
on the tram, rode out with her on the tram.
Actually it's kind of weird.
Speaker 4 (36:09):
So but how did you pull that off? Because you
you had the show this morning? So what was the
turner on time on that?
Speaker 6 (36:17):
I slept in the car and I got another half
hour nap after that, so he got about.
Speaker 7 (36:23):
An hour and a half asleep. It's not fun. Wouldn't
recommend that.
Speaker 3 (36:30):
Do you have a couple of throat burns?
Speaker 6 (36:32):
Yeah, California Adventures is alcohol friendly and it was the
last night of the food and wine festival that they
have going on.
Speaker 4 (36:40):
Oh they got that Carl Strauss brewery over there still too.
Speaker 3 (36:43):
I don't know if that.
Speaker 6 (36:44):
I didn't see a Carl Strauss. It was mostly, uh,
you know, tiki drinks is what we were having. We
had mango guava, we had a rum tiaki drink.
Speaker 3 (36:53):
That's why you'd be throwing up, man, throwing up? Yeah,
you talking about the hurricane. You'd be drinking too much
sugar man, Well, sugar man begnets on.
Speaker 7 (37:02):
That's gonna sugar overload.
Speaker 3 (37:04):
I'm just saying, man, that's like wab and all that stuff.
Speaker 1 (37:07):
That's what I call it. It was the Ben's fault.
Speaker 3 (37:11):
Yeah, what are you more likely to throw up on?
Benet There's this whiskey.
Speaker 6 (37:18):
There's this whiskey sour with like way too much pickles
that had a huge spirit, ridiculous juice.
Speaker 3 (37:23):
Are you guys olive eaters? Yeah? Ham not like what
about olives and black I like them.
Speaker 4 (37:33):
I'm not a big fan of the black ones, but
you surely what Lee, you're with them? I don't like
the Black ones like the Green ones. Oh wow, it
was great with Martina. This segment took a turn for
the worst. That's the first all right, what.
Speaker 7 (37:50):
Else Lee, Larena and Cooper going to the Lakers game tonight?
Speaker 3 (37:54):
I mean, why did you say it like that?
Speaker 1 (37:56):
Yay?
Speaker 3 (37:57):
Where are your seats?
Speaker 4 (37:58):
You're losing your losing your proverbial seat, Lee, Like, I
think you're just sliding further and further back. And I
have tried to put you at the front of the line.
I have tried to put you in and pocket. You
don't want it. You are falling behind. Bro'. Well, you're
not supposed to be invited. You wouldn't have to do
(38:21):
the invites if you just did what you were supposed
to do.
Speaker 3 (38:23):
I guess. But you don't Laray to wear your seats
somewhere somewhere.
Speaker 1 (38:31):
On the side of I think they're on the opposing team,
on the Timberwolves side.
Speaker 3 (38:35):
Oh you want to be on the winning side, okay?
Speaker 7 (38:38):
And yeah, it's my first basketball game ever? Really, yeah,
so I'm really excited.
Speaker 3 (38:43):
You never went to any Blazers games. Oh wow, Cooper
is delivering you a first yeah, well even further back. Lee,
this Lee Rain I think is falling apart at the seams. Man,
I don't it is what it is? I guess. Oh well, it's.
Speaker 1 (38:59):
More like a coop raina.
Speaker 3 (39:03):
We go by let coop That makes sense. Sorry, I
don't know. I mean that's going down the Sandy Sharp road.
Speaker 1 (39:11):
Now what.
Speaker 3 (39:14):
It's cuffing season? Cuff up? Man.
Speaker 7 (39:17):
His wife is going to guys.
Speaker 4 (39:19):
Oh okay, that always makes it better when you can
throw that in there.
Speaker 3 (39:23):
Is it just you three?
Speaker 2 (39:25):
No?
Speaker 3 (39:25):
One of his friends is also going. Is this a
double date? Is this a blond double date that you
don't know you're walking into? Hey, why didn't you go
to the game? Why don't you go with them?
Speaker 7 (39:35):
I wasn't invited. Wow, but I probably haven't paid up
for that ticket anyway.
Speaker 3 (39:40):
Yeah, they're a little crazy. You sit at home, and wonderly,
you sit at home. I'll watch comfortably, and Loraina, you
enjoy your first basketball game.
Speaker 7 (39:49):
Thank you, You're welcome.
Speaker 3 (39:50):
You'll put on that ac DC albumly all right, I.
Speaker 7 (39:53):
Gotta get back on track.
Speaker 3 (39:55):
You gotta get off track. Back in black, just not
olives
