(00:55):
the world of sports, Jason Tatum waiting word on what
most people assume will be an Achilles rupture, and they
are getting an MRI done on Jason Tatum later on today,
so we will find out what the severity of the
injury is that he went down with last night against
the Knicks and their loss down three to one in
that series. And then the Minnesota Timberwolves have the Golden

(01:17):
State Warriors on the brink as well too.

Speaker 4 (01:20):
Up three.

Speaker 5 (01:21):
Is that.

Speaker 4 (01:23):
Is that it?

Speaker 5 (01:23):
Oh? No?

Speaker 4 (01:25):
Is that a leak?

Speaker 5 (01:27):
Oh?

Speaker 6 (01:30):
I think that is a leak.

Speaker 7 (01:33):
In fact, I've I'm seeing a leak right here that
apparently a playoff rematch is expected in week ten on
Monday Night Football, that being the Packers hosting the Eagles.

Speaker 4 (01:46):
Leaks are already coming out.

Speaker 5 (01:48):
Look at that, Look at that?

Speaker 4 (01:50):
Where do you go?

Speaker 5 (01:51):
Lee?

Speaker 3 (01:53):
By the way, why why why would this be one
of the games that they would leak?

Speaker 4 (01:58):
What is it like? What's the significant of this? It's
a random game when Week.

Speaker 6 (02:02):
Ten, Week ten, Monday Night Football, November tenth.

Speaker 8 (02:05):
Okay, I'm out on this whole week thing, the whole
The NFL has made something out of the draft, they
made something out of the combine. They haven't figured out
the schedule.

Speaker 5 (02:14):
Release.

Speaker 8 (02:15):
This is not working for me. I don't think it's
working for other people too.

Speaker 9 (02:19):
SAME's corny. Just release schedule. But I mean, it's not
as bad as this leak noise. It is not even
anywhere close to this. Yeah, I'm trying to fix the leak,
trying my best here leaked the lap. Yeah, I'm not

(02:42):
in oh man, this is big stuff here. The NFL
is like, hey, we'll give them a little bit at
a time. Hey dropped that Week ten matchup? Please wait?
What where these international games are supposed to drop? It
sounds like I feel like I should be doing my
bluetoo read right now? Yeah the way that sounded now.

Speaker 5 (03:02):
If you take that? He all right.

Speaker 3 (03:06):
So we do want to let you know before we
get into the return of the Goat that we are
brought to you by Express Pros. Ready for a new job?
Let Express Employment professionals help. While Express helps people in
all industries find work. Our sweet spot is logistic roles
and Express never change it never charges job seekers for
a fee. So go to Expresspros dot com. So Michael

(03:30):
Jordan is back. The Goat is back, and he's been
hired as a contributor.

Speaker 4 (03:41):
When NBC takes.

Speaker 3 (03:42):
Over their right having the rights of the NBA next year,
they'll get the coverage back. After a long ass time,
Michael Jordan has been hired as a contributor. Uh So,
he is, uh, he is back? How how involved?

Speaker 4 (03:57):
Who knows?

Speaker 8 (03:58):
But can I can I bring this up though we
were in the golden age, if you were a TV
consumer of sports, where you've got Michael Jordan now the goat,
Wayne Gretzky the goat, you can go to baseball if
you will. I'm not sure that we've got some guys
that you maybe put in that conversation. Maybe not quite there,

(04:19):
but Tom Brady the goat doing football. I mean, name
another time when you had this many all time greatest
of all time players in their respective realms talking about
their sport. And you can even go a step further
if you want to include golf. Tiger's not there yet,
but Jack obviously has kind of been in and out

(04:41):
a part of stuff. And I think Tiger one day
would be entertaining to put him on a broadcast and
he'd be in that conversation.

Speaker 5 (04:52):
I like it.

Speaker 9 (04:54):
If you know, a lot of people may not have
hurt Michael Jordans speak a whole lot. You know, he's
very obscure nowadays for for a pretty pretty long time.
But if you've ever heard him interview or have heard
him speak, he's pretty dope, very dynamic. Dude has real,

(05:16):
real strong command of of how he presents himself and
and and just.

Speaker 5 (05:20):
The way he communicates.

Speaker 9 (05:22):
So it's not like he would get in front of
the camera and not be the man. Like I think,
if Michael Jordan is going to get in front of
a camera and do analysis and and break down what's
going on, it's going to come across as very much
Michael Michael Jordan, Michael Jeffrey Jordan, and I'm a watch.

(05:48):
I'll certainly watch. I'll be interested in that and and
wanting to hear how it comes across and how it
goes you know, goes you know, out to to to
us the list because there still has to be a relative.

Speaker 5 (06:05):
Way of I.

Speaker 9 (06:06):
Guess, connecting with with that person who's talking about it
like he's been gone for so long. Listen, we saw
the last dance. Last Dance gave you like kind of
a reintroduction into how great Michael Jordan's greatness truly is.
But I mean it's for like someone like Tom Brady
being a goat and going into it.

Speaker 5 (06:28):
It's like people still.

Speaker 9 (06:29):
Can remember him as a player, you know, and it's
there's still a recency effect. I'd be curious to see
when somebody comes in of Michael Michael Jordan's caliber and
his level, what that's like when he starts, you know,
talking about what's going on, because it's going to be
a lot of criticism. That's that's what media is. So

(06:50):
when he's giving his takes and he's offering, you know,
critiques of what's taking place, I wonder how that'll be received.

Speaker 3 (06:58):
What do you think the check is for m that
they're cutting? Like, what what is it worth it to him?
But they want to show up? I mean think about
it though. So this is for NBC, right, NBC also
got when gretzkyt to come out and contribute be a
part of it.

Speaker 8 (07:13):
So it can't it can't be an easy sell for
guys who haven't done it for such a long period
of time and then they bring them in and which
which draws the question why now from Michael Jordan. You know,
he's a billionaire, he's you know, incredibly successful everything he's
done from you know, obviously basketball, but to apparel to
everything else. So why now is? I think what's the

(07:36):
most interesting part of this? And I've got a theory
on this. I don't know if it's a conspiracy theory.

Speaker 5 (07:43):
Maybe we could play Robert Stack, but.

Speaker 4 (07:48):
No Robert Stack conspiracy.

Speaker 9 (07:52):
Anyone is anyone there? Yeah, she's not she's not paying
any attention. Not going to happen.

Speaker 8 (07:58):
All right, we'll just move forward.

Speaker 5 (08:02):
Yeah, what's it going on?

Speaker 8 (08:05):
Oh?

Speaker 9 (08:05):
Oh, I hit my headphones out, guys. Oh okay, bad
news beers, bad news beers.

Speaker 8 (08:19):
Wow, in our minds, I think we all three agree
Michael Jordan's the greatest of all time basketball fair enough? Ye, okay,
that's not necessarily how everyone sees it, though. There's a
lot of people who try to make the case for
maybe a couple other guys that are out there, one
in particular that's still playing, although those days of Lebron

(08:44):
James still playing are probably coming to an end. And
what do you think Lebron's gonna want to do after
he's done? Do you think he's just gonna want to
fade off into the sunset, never to be hurt again.

Speaker 3 (08:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (08:58):
I think this is a goat move by the goat
and Michael Jordan to jump ahead of where I think
Lebron James would want to be at some point in time.
And if you are the goat and you are the
authoritative figure where you are on a major network like this,

(09:18):
you are a part of the broadcast, the coverage. It's
going to speak volumes, and it's gonna be able to
give him that platform. That not saying that he doesn't
have the ability to throw something out on x or
any other social media platform, but this provides him the

(09:39):
opportunity around the NBA schedule to be the voice, that
one voice as far as the goat ahead of Lebron James,
if and when he retires, and if and when he
wants to get to the TV, which I do think
there will be a desire to do so because Lebron
James likes trying to control the narrative. In this case,

(10:00):
I can't really control the narrative because no one's going
to want to listen to him as much as they
will Michael Jordans.

Speaker 9 (10:04):
In my opinion, yes, a hell of a thought process there.

Speaker 4 (10:09):
Around of applause that makes sense.

Speaker 9 (10:11):
I mean, you'd have to believe that Lebron James is
going to be on a full court press media trail
doubt forever once he retires.

Speaker 8 (10:24):
Because think about this, like if you're if you're looking
at Michael Jordan's legacy. As far as the basketball, he's
six and zero right as far as the NBA championships,
never beaten all that, Lebron doesn't have the championships to
stack up next to Michael Jordan's. So then there has
to be these discussions, these debates, these arguments, and he's
going to have every last one of them. Yeah, and

(10:45):
he and he's going to have all those stats, all that.
But and I don't know that he'll have every last
one of them because there's certain things he's just not
gonna be able to do at this point sim in
his career. And we can you know, go.

Speaker 9 (10:55):
I'm talking about he's going to discuss everyone why, every
single one of them?

Speaker 5 (11:00):
Yeah, absolutely he is.

Speaker 8 (11:02):
So because of that, I think this gives Michael Jordan
now the platform and the ability to remain current, to
keep his legacy at the top where it should be.
I mean, it makes a ton of sense through this
generation of kids who don't understand and don't get it.

Speaker 9 (11:19):
Yeah, they don't know him, they don't know who Michael
Jordan is. And I think that that is I think
that's a hell of a take, honestly, because again, if
if you re establish your voice and he is good
enough to reestablize. It's not like he's going to come
in you're gonna be like, I don't like listening to him,
Like the way he talks and the way he interacts.

(11:40):
If it's still the same as it was when he
was a player, He's as captivating an interviewer or interview
as he is a player that he was on the court.

Speaker 3 (11:51):
It's also when the one thing you noticed about Gretzky
when he does stuff for TNT is the reverence those
guys at the desk all half for him, the respect
they get it. And so like Paul Bissonette is, you know,
very popular, especially with a younger crowd because he has
a Spit and Chicklets podcast through barstool and all that,
and the way he talks about Gretzky, he's been Jordan's

(12:12):
going to be on that desk or doing whatever he's doing,
and people there are going to also be telling his
story because they're going to realize we're with the goat now,
like like we're with this guy. To be able to
have that channel, to be able to promote and remind
people of who he is, maybe people that never got

(12:33):
to watch him play as you pointed out, Yeah, I
think it makes a lot of sense. And they're you know,
cutting a check.

Speaker 9 (12:40):
I mean, yes, how much you think he's making. I
don't know how much he's making. But I think what
Q is touching on is the value of why he's
doing it, not what he's getting paid. It's the value
of being able to read. Somebody probably told him either
he was sitting somewhere quiet or whatever, sent with friends,

(13:02):
somebody said what Q just said, Like, you do know
Lebron already has He has a media company for one,
He already does a podcast where he sits in the
barbershop for two. So he's already established that he's in
media and understands how to leverage media. You basically like disappeared,

(13:25):
like nobody hears from you. You know, like I said,
the last dance comes out, it was like dang, like
that was an amazing event to see, you know, the
old old things that took place, or hear the commentary
from old players, but that's still not a current voice.

Speaker 3 (13:43):
And the last thing we did hear from him he
was the owner of the hornets and they sucked, but
you didn't really hear from him. But and you haven't
heard anything really basketball wise.

Speaker 9 (13:54):
You only hear about his son, like that's really it,
And you don't really hear his voice. You just see pictures. Yeah,
I mean he likes to party and booger sugar.

Speaker 5 (14:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (14:07):
I think this is a hell of a Trump move
to come into the media game because there's really no
other reason for him to do it. He doesn't need
to do it to improve the game, even though it
would improve I'm sure it would improve ratings or improve
the I don't know the viewership. Maybe the interest level

(14:29):
goes up depending on how well he does. But he
doesn't need to feel like he needs to do that
for the NBA. You know, if we're looking at the
sole purpose as to why Michael Jordan would do it,
it can't be because he's bored. He doesn't live like
the man's private jet is painted and designed the same

(14:52):
way as a pair of.

Speaker 5 (14:54):
Is Jordan's shoes.

Speaker 9 (14:55):
Really, yeah, bro, like that rhino the rhino print. You
know that rhino print is pretty dope.

Speaker 5 (15:04):
Bruh.

Speaker 9 (15:05):
I mean he's not bored. He goes fishing, he's got
that Marlin team, he's got a race team.

Speaker 5 (15:10):
I mean, he's got a ton of stuff. Going on.

Speaker 9 (15:11):
So this is not a move generated based upon him
just sitting at home being bored. I think this has
everything to do with what Q said, which is you're
getting ahead of Lebron James before Lebron James gets it
out of the game, starts out into media and then
starts to basically like strategically make the arguments and point

(15:33):
out the information that that paints him as the goat
and now.

Speaker 8 (15:38):
You can't just do it. What I love about it,
too is what's different about taking on a job with
a network is you don't have complete control over anything
other than what you say when you produce. For example,
that he's got the barbershop thing he does, he controls

(15:59):
all of that, He controls the editing, he controls what's
a part of it, what's not. You know, you can
manufacture a lot of how you look and how you
sound and how you come off. What I love about
the world of network TV is when that red light
comes on, there's no editing. It's it's live. And in
a world that we live in where we've got a

(16:20):
bunch of digital platforms and digital spaces, and everyone puts
their best foot forward and everyone shows you that dude,
perfect video where they had made this ridiculous trick shot
on the first try. It's all bs, it's all bs,
and it's not a true representation of who that individual is.
And so what I love about the fact that he's

(16:40):
doing this is you're going to get the real, raw
version of MJ and his mentality, how he saw things,
his journey for people who didn't know about, you know,
his journey in high school, you know, not making the
team and motivating him to be able to work that
much harder to make it actually make varsity and then

(17:01):
obviously go to North Carolina and the kind of rest
his history when he gets drafted the Bulls, but also
his mentality of how he sees the game, how it
should be played. These younger generations need to hear that
from a guy who lived it, because Kobe embodied some
of that too, and trying to follow in Jordan's footsteps.

(17:21):
But there's not enough guys now in the NBA who
play the way Jordan. I mean, obviously no one could
play to his capabilities, but view the game the way
he did. And that's one of the things that I'm
most looking forward to as we see a shift and
stuff and look, you know, when Lebron James is done,
it's that one of the greatest careers we've ever seen.

(17:42):
So again, some would say maybe the best. But the
mentality was so different from Michael Jordan, where he was
looking to make the smart basketball play instead of taking
the shot with three guys on him to go win
it for his team. And I'm sorry, like, maybe you
side then with Lebron James, or if you're an analytic
scheeking like, well, it's the smarter decision from a statistical state. Okay,

(18:07):
I want the guy who wants that shot. I don't
care if there's five guys in the court on him.
That's who I want on my team. That's the guy
if I'm a fan, I want to root for. That's
why I loved Kobe. That's why, as much as it
pained me to admit this, I like respected the hell
and admired Michael Jordan, even though he would crush my
dreams as a kid being a Cleveland Cavaliers fan. And unfortunately,

(18:31):
the NBA does not have enough guys like that. So, yes,
that voice is gonna it's gonna come back up again,
I think, and hopefully preach to a lot of younger
generations too.

Speaker 3 (18:41):
You know who made you mentioned some people might think
Lebron is the best ever. Reggie Miller was on All
the Smoke and he made I thought, a pretty pretty
interesting comment about the debate between Jordan and Lebron. He
said that Jordan's the best ever, but Lebron had the
best career, which if you, if you actually look at it,

(19:04):
it does make sense because even for example, you know,
Jason Tatum going down with the injury last night, Damian Lillard,
the fact that Lebron's been able to do this for
as long as he's done it at the level he's
done it at is wild.

Speaker 4 (19:18):
Nobody's ever done it like this ever, not even Jordan.

Speaker 3 (19:20):
Jordan's the best ever, I agree, but it is he
does bring the point.

Speaker 9 (19:24):
But people make arguments like you know, Dennis Rotman made
the argument point that maybe Jordan decids he wants to
play longer if the league is like what it is now.
They said, Jordan would have probably averaged fifty points a
game in this in this era of time, the spacing
of the of the players, the lack of defense that's

(19:45):
being played, the way the referees call the games. I
mean it's just a very different game. There's a lot
of hypotheticals to throw out there as to why one
may be better than the other, you know, I mean,
I don't know that. I mean, you could say Lebron
James has is the greatest to ever have longevity of
success in the NBA and then maybe even in sports

(20:09):
like I don't, I don't have a problem with that,
but better career, I don't. I don't think that that
would equate that he did it for as long as
he did that that constitutes him being anointed the greatest
career of all time. Like I don't, I don't necessarily
subscribe to that. Man pretty impressive. It's he has had

(20:29):
an impressive career, no doubt about it. But he's had
an impressive career with longevity. It's it's the longevity that
that and the relevance of the longevity. I mean, Michael
Jordan didn't have access to all of the perks and
the bells and whistles of what social has done for
what people have going on now. Imagine if that all

(20:53):
existed when Michael Jordan was playing Twitter and Instagram and
Facebook and all that stuff.

Speaker 8 (21:01):
It is pretty incredible to think like he was a
worldwide phenomenon before all that really became and to exist.
Crazy man, that's how big of a deal he was
of that stuff was around. Though, for being honest, what
it's probably better for him none of that stuff was around.
You're too much into conspiracy. You could you could you
could make that for any player. Now, there's a lot

(21:24):
to be said for what LeVar is saying. And I think, like,
here's the thing is when you watch both, and for
those who grew up in Eras where you could watch both,
you know what, you know the difference when you see
it and you're just like, all right, that guy was
the greatest ever at that time. And look, maybe someone
will come along and be better. But still to this
day it's Michael Jordan and we don't have to go

(21:46):
through Eras and all that. He was a goat without
a doubt.

Speaker 9 (21:51):
And it's going to be fun watching them on television
be the goat, because at the end of the day,
what are you going to say, He's there? You whatever
you want when somebody is in present, but he's going
to be on television. You're going to see him, You're
going to hear his voice. So it's going to be
interesting to see. You know, the King is returning, so

(22:14):
it'd be interesting.

Speaker 3 (22:15):
It is a Two Pros and a Cup of Joe
here on Fox Sports Radio, LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas
Knox with you here. Coming up next though, we are
going to have a conversation about apparently how things really
went behind the scenes for one team and one player
in the NFL.

Speaker 4 (22:31):
That's yours right here on FSR.

Speaker 2 (22:33):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern, three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 3 (22:48):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe, Fox Sports Radio,
LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you here. Coming
up fifteen minutes from now, We're gonna have another edition
of Lee's Leftovers. That'll be yours here on f We
do have more details on the disaster behind the scenes

(23:09):
with George Pickens and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Speaker 5 (23:11):
Oh oh.

Speaker 3 (23:13):
Mark Coboli, who covered the Steelers for a long time
now contributor to The Pat McAfee Show, had this to
say yesterday more on the Steelers trading George Pickens to Dallas.
Significant locker room guys got fed up with pickens antics
and quickly got turned off by him for multiple reasons.
Some felt it would be counterproductive to keep him around,

(23:36):
even with his unique talent. They felt the locker room
could turn toxic. Not many teams were interested in trading
for Pickens, making it difficult for the Steelers to get
market value. The Steelers wouldn't have traded him for anything
less than a third round pick, something that wasn't offered
until after the draft, and not many were broken up
within the organizations that Pickens got traded. So it's another

(23:59):
case of disgruntled or troublesome wide receiver in Pittsburgh gets
dealt and they're just ready to move on and take
what they can get and cut their losses.

Speaker 8 (24:10):
You know what's interesting about hearing that trade compensation is
typically teams view future draft capital as like a round later.
So if it's twenty twenty five, you get a third
round pick, they really viewed as a fourth round pick.
So it's funny to say they wouldn't deal for anything
other than a third It's like, well, you kind of did,
because you end up waiting till after the draft to

(24:32):
do it and all that. So I don't know, it's
crazy to think though the track record they've had of
wide receivers they've moved on from, its usually worked in
the favor of Pittsburgh. So we'll see if this works
out for Pickens. But I mean, he's so early on
in his career, it's hard to think that he's not

(24:54):
gonna be able to showcase some of the talent that
we saw at times. But I also think if there
wasn't a market for him, it's probably because every other
team saw what we saw. There's times of he has
plays brilliantly and there's times when you watch them and
you think he's just disinterested in the game altogether.

Speaker 9 (25:11):
You know, people have, again, legends in the organization or
part of the Pittsburgh Steelers community have come out and
had some pretty strong criticisms towards towards Pickens. Even at
times on the larger networks, some of the analysts have

(25:31):
had strong opinions that aren't very flattering of George Pickens.
I think in this scenario, he gets the opportunity to
take all of the wrong that may have transpired developed happened,
However it unfolded.

Speaker 5 (25:52):
He took.

Speaker 9 (25:52):
He gets the opportunity to take a different step forward,
a different path forward, going to Dallas. It's a market
that will support, you know that that action of redemption,
Like he can redeem himself in Dallas, the market will

(26:13):
embrace him to redeem himself. So I feel like the
Dallas Cowboys get an amazing, an amazing asset because everything
that went wrong. I could imagine George Pickens doesn't want
to become the latest statistic and casualty of white receivers
that left Pittsburgh and their careers kind of plummeted. After

(26:37):
you're going to get the best foot being put forward
by George Pickens. Dallas is going to get a George
Pickens that is engaged, is wanting to see his team
do well, wanting to do well.

Speaker 5 (26:52):
You know why.

Speaker 9 (26:53):
You know what, else, there's still a contract to be done,
There's still a contract to be had. He's still on
his rookie contract. And so to me, this one, this
one is a win for Dallas. I do not see
this as a win.

Speaker 5 (27:09):
You know. On the show on.

Speaker 9 (27:10):
Saturday, Plexico Burris went as far as to say he
felt like and what you get when George Pickens is
focused and is going in the right direction. DK Metcalf,
He's not sure that DK Metcalf is a better receiver
than George Pickens. George Pickens is, he said, a top

(27:32):
five and when he's motivated and playing the way he's
supposed to play, he's a top five receiver in the league.

Speaker 8 (27:38):
He's slick man.

Speaker 9 (27:39):
That's pretty high praise. And so to me, when you
think about it from that perspective, you just got rid
of a player and he was probably the best best
player at that position on your roster.

Speaker 5 (27:59):
That's that's saying something.

Speaker 9 (28:00):
Could they could be better by subtraction, but still that's
saying something. If you got rid of a talent that
would have been the best talent at that position, you
should not make a habit of allowing the best players
at their position to leave your team, especially going into

(28:21):
their prime. He's not even in the prime of his
career yet, he's still young.

Speaker 3 (28:25):
The more I think about the deal, the worse I
think the deal is for the Dallas Cowboys. WHOA Because
if you've got a guy like that and all this
stuff starts to come out like you would want that
guy to be in a situation with a stable organization
that can manage that temperament. And when I think stable
organization that can manage all that, I don't think.

Speaker 4 (28:47):
Of the Dallas Cowboys.

Speaker 3 (28:48):
I think of a circus, and they'll welcome it and
they'll bring him in because he does have talent. But
there's so many ifs with him that Look, he's he's
in Pittsburgh, like he could have been the guy with
that organization, and then you come to find out, oh

(29:08):
he was. You know, just last year alone, find like
over two hundred thousand dollars by the team in the
league for various situations that have popped up. One report
that was out there whether or not this is true,
he showed up ten minutes before a game and he
was eating Twizzlers like it just like you hear like
all this stuff that comes out. He was late to
the Christmas game, Like I don't think Dallas is the

(29:30):
place where you get right, Like Dallas is a place
where you can be a star. But he's got so
much baggage with him.

Speaker 9 (29:38):
It's self awareness though, I mean, like the reality of
what's taken place.

Speaker 5 (29:44):
He's he's leaving where.

Speaker 9 (29:47):
He got drafted to and no matter how dramatic or
how kind of intense, you may look at some of
the things that he's done extreme some of the things
that he's done. Sometimes it takes somebody doing something to you,

(30:07):
doing something for you, something happening to you, something happening
for you to understand and have a level of, you know,
perspective on what you have going on personally. Could be
like a death in your family. Certain things will force
you to take inventory on yourself. I think this is

(30:28):
big enough happening for George Pickens for him to take
inventory on himself. And if he does, then he puts
himself in a position where he can be in an
alls forgiven type of scenario and he gets the contract
that he wants in the end. That's the type of
player I want if I'm bringing a player in, a
motivated player. I do not see George Pickens going in

(30:53):
and perpetuating maybe what he perceives as the rumors or
the things that are being gone or discussed about him
in public. He has the opportunity to write that, I
don't see why he would waste that opportunity. I don't
see why any player would waste that opportunity. It's not
like he's a degenerate that that, you know, like he

(31:15):
can't stop doing this off of the field, being on time.
People can help you with that, you know, doing doing
the little things the right way in the game. People
can help him with that. But most importantly, he'll have
that self awareness. I think this is a part of
a maturing process for him and a wake up call

(31:37):
because it costed him his opportunity to get a big
payday in Pittsburgh and stay as a Pittsburgh Steeler. So
I don't see it as a problem for for Dallas.

Speaker 3 (31:47):
And he'll be okay with not being the number one
and probably not being the number two. It's not the
number two, Jake Fergus stop, bro stop.

Speaker 8 (31:59):
It's a one year. It's a one year rental or
a one year and we'll see if he plays up
to his capabilities for seventeen games. I actually you shouldn't
even say that because we've seen Granted, Dak Prescott had
a little more equity piled up, but when he got
his deal, he played what four games that season, and
he was still able to sign a monumental deal after that.

(32:19):
So if he goes there, ax right, plays up to
his capabilities. He's gonna have a big pay to another
side of this.

Speaker 9 (32:27):
You're going to get his best foot because of that, right,
And that's just just ultimately, and to be honest with you,
he may come out of this whole entire scenario looking better,
way better than even what he you know, had going
on in Pittsburgh. It's just that that's the setup for
him here. I hope he doesn't waste that opportunity. All right,

(32:51):
I'm not listen, I'm not I'm not going safe for
certain that you're not right. I'm just saying, how much
of a miss would that be if you aren't. The
reputation that is kind of a teeters on one satur
or the other on if you like him or not
based upon things he's done, and he has the opportunity
to start over somewhere else on the cusp of getting

(33:13):
a big contract, and he can be considered one of
the most elite in the league, why would you go
and continue to do anything that would perpetuate what's been
said about you that led to you being in the
situation you're in now. If he does, then then you
know what, godspeed, get right?

Speaker 4 (33:34):
I would feel better about it.

Speaker 3 (33:36):
If he was going to a place like Philly, which
has shown the ability to deal with anybody who's got
off you know, off field issues or troubles and you're
looking for them to get like that, I would feel
better about that. Dallas just feels like a place where
it's like, all right, we're here here there and we're
getting coverage and Jerry Jones will talk about it. And

(33:58):
we've got an agent who Jerry Jones is already he
called out that's going to be looking for the contracting
David Mullagatta, You've got like all these other things are
added into the mix. Just feel like that's not the
best recipe for him to get to find himself as
a player.

Speaker 5 (34:12):
The beauty of sports is we'll see it play out.

Speaker 9 (34:15):
We'll see what happens, you know, Ferguson, We'll see what happens.

Speaker 5 (34:20):
Right, Yeah, it's number two.

Speaker 3 (34:23):
It is two pros and a cup of Joe here
on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 8 (34:26):
Rogers is gonna be the Pittsburg. It's a done deal.
I'm slay you.

Speaker 9 (34:28):
No, no, somebody told you wait what somebody told him yesterday?

Speaker 5 (34:34):
What do you mean? I mean?

Speaker 4 (34:36):
It's it's just a wins wins.

Speaker 5 (34:38):
Yeah, fate it. You know what I mean it?

Speaker 8 (34:41):
So get that from Vita, I wish I did. I
don't get that from Vito though he's giving that sort
of love.

Speaker 5 (34:46):
You gotta hit him up. See I do hit him.
I hit him up. Yeah, I hit him up. You know.

Speaker 8 (34:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (34:53):
I'm just saying Quinn's wins.

Speaker 5 (34:56):

Speaker 4 (35:34):

Speaker 6 (35:35):
Wow, you put that in your imaging pipe and smoke it.

Speaker 9 (35:41):
Bar I'm going to predict that one lead to lap
will break when one more time before this show ends, Sticks.

Speaker 8 (35:54):
Picks, I'm just alright. Last one.

Speaker 5 (35:56):
It's a little different.

Speaker 8 (35:57):

us for Leed's leftovers.

I was asked this the other day and I wanted
to get your two cents on it.

Speaker 6 (37:50):
Would you rather have free beer for life or no hangover?

Speaker 4 (37:56):
Uh? Free beer?

Speaker 9 (38:00):
I mean hangover as in singular, So I'm gonna say
free beer more no hangover for life? Oh, no hangovers
for life? Uh?

Speaker 5 (38:10):
Yeah, I'm gonna go with no hangovers.

Speaker 4 (38:13):
Yeah, I think free beer. Really, you don't have to
drink it, but if you want.

Speaker 8 (38:18):
It is free.

Speaker 5 (38:19):
Yeah. But if I want to drink and drink it, we're.

Speaker 8 (38:21):
Gonna want to sell it.

Speaker 4 (38:23):
That's a hell of an idea. Maybe start my own
liquor store.

Speaker 5 (38:26):
Get arrested for that free beer? Okay, Well, I don't
want no hangovers?

Speaker 6 (38:33):
Is it true that to hangovers just get worse and
worse throughout life?

Speaker 9 (38:35):
You know when Velly has gotten worse, the older I've gotten.
I used to be able to ride roller coasters. I
used to be able to ride swings. I can't even
ride a swing without get motion city?

Speaker 4 (38:45):
Was he just low key age?

Speaker 5 (38:48):
He did age? Shame me?

Speaker 8 (38:50):
Is it considered writing a swing?

Speaker 5 (38:53):
Swinging on a swing? Swing? Swing? You're going for a ride, right,
if somebody's pushing this.

Speaker 8 (38:59):
I never heard any would say kind of going to
ride on the swings. I don't know, swing on the swing?
I go on the swings, I don't know.

Speaker 5 (39:07):
I don't know.

Speaker 8 (39:08):
Would I would take no hangovers? By the way, you
take no hangovers? Yeah?

Speaker 6 (39:12):
What rams?

Speaker 4 (39:13):
Jaguars in London?

Speaker 6 (39:14):
And the leaks just keep on leaking by leaks
