Speaker 4 (00:57):
What do you mean, famous people? What do you mean
by that?
Speaker 5 (01:01):
Lee?
Speaker 3 (01:02):
Thanks for the OBJ update. We appreciate it. Thank you.
Speaker 4 (01:05):
You asked, I'll tell my god, man, I.
Speaker 6 (01:10):
Can't really tell what's going on there. I'll be honest.
Speaker 4 (01:13):
Oh yeah, this one alone. Yeah, let's sit this one out.
I don't sit them out too often. Let's sit this
one out. You famous people, man, people unbelievable. Well, you
have no right to speak on us famous people because
you know what, it's not like you're at home having
(01:36):
conversations in your house with your family with a famous
person about famous people. So make sure you stay away
from having an opinion about something that you're not around.
That's correct. Okay, I'm completely disqualified from the converce. Aw
(01:57):
no opinion.
Speaker 6 (01:57):
But Lee is not disqualified.
Speaker 4 (02:00):
Well he especially blockbuster.
Speaker 5 (02:07):
Going on.
Speaker 4 (02:09):
I'm qualified for everything and pizza delivering and or getting
pizza pizza delivery. I wish no no, the.
Speaker 6 (02:21):
You know what?
Speaker 7 (02:27):
Oh well, I mean I still see the better half
every day.
Speaker 4 (02:33):
The better half every day. You need a new nickname
for that. We'll see the roommate every day. Okay, roommate.
That that sounds a little bit more on park very
all right. It's it's very passive, is what it is.
That's still passive?
Speaker 6 (02:52):
That that sounds like an n S a you know,
and no strings attached.
Speaker 4 (02:57):
But there are strings attached. That's the problem. Yeah, she
will hurt.
Speaker 6 (03:01):
You know, you have the chance to.
Speaker 4 (03:07):
Those strings are on the bottom of boxing gloves. They
thought they would work things out once uh, once she
found out Lee was serious about the sale. Then they
didn't sell it, and then things went back to normal, seemingly.
It's not a seller's market at the moment. Oh, so
you're keeping her? Or were you talking about the apartment?
(03:34):
Is talking about the condo?
Speaker 6 (03:36):
It's it's not a buyer's market really either.
Speaker 5 (03:38):
Is it.
Speaker 4 (03:39):
No, No, it is not. It's not a good time.
Raach are bad, you know. So you know, so you're
keeping Yeah, you're going to kid. It's cheaper to keep
her down. Yeah, I mean all right, well that got awkward.
I mean, I do what, Lorena, what do you think
the nickname should be? If it's not better better half roommate,
(04:02):
think of like your wife. So your better half is
like your rib doesn't have to be your wife to
be your better half, though she could just be or
the person could be your better of you? Right, so
may come one true belf like that? Okay, thank you?
Speaker 3 (04:17):
So so what what what would be more fitting for hermate.
Speaker 4 (04:22):
You like roommate, that's it, just roommate. You want to
keep it clean? What what are you really feeling your heart?
This is radio talk radio too. On top of that,
I was trying to think of like a parasite type thing,
call it like a just stuck there. Yeah, So it's
gonna sucking drive until he did, and then she's gonna
(04:43):
go do it now Lead Lorena. Do you think that
once she sucks Lead dried to death, she will go
do the same exact thing to another guy. No, it's
it for It's like I think she's going to hold
onto his corpse. So this is more about This isn't
a parasite. This is like fatal attraction. But is there
(05:06):
a nickname for that? I mean, just call your FA
maybe fatal attraction? Lee.
Speaker 7 (05:13):
Do you agree she's a Glenn Close? No, she's she's
we're doing great. We're doing a good.
Speaker 4 (05:19):
You're doing great? When did this happen? Question? That was
not the question. The question was a nickname. She's the
better half, She's she's my lovely lady friend. It sounds
like you be talking about sobriety when you talk about
your relationship with her. That's for quitters. Yeah, so you
cut it out right now, God Like, Well, I'll tell
(05:39):
you I'm doing great right now, thirty days, thirty days sober,
everything is good. Like I'm happy.
Speaker 6 (05:46):
Quitter.
Speaker 4 (05:46):
I'll fall off soon though. Damn dang, all right? What
we got?
Speaker 6 (05:54):
What we got?
Speaker 4 (05:55):
I know this somebody who is having a good day.
Speaker 3 (06:00):
Yeah, it's Fred Warner is and the forty nine ers
continue to just chip away at continuing to hold on
to key members of their core. They're trying to keep
the window open, even though you got LeVar Arrington.
Speaker 4 (06:13):
Close to spend them money. I spend the money. So Fred
Warner and we discussed it.
Speaker 3 (06:17):
They were on the brink of this potentially getting done
here following the conversation we had about Rock Party yesterday
on the show. But Fred Warner, according to reports, the
Niners get it done. They agree to a three year,
sixty three million dollar extension fifty six million guaranteed. It
makes them the highest paid off ball linebacker in the league.
(06:38):
And so the Niners keep another piece around at least
for the next.
Speaker 4 (06:42):
Couple of years here.
Speaker 3 (06:43):
And so you figure the same offseason you get the
party deal done. Fred Warner gets done you've got who
am I missing? The George Kittle got done? You assume
Christian McCaffrey comes back.
Speaker 4 (06:56):
I gotta be honest with you. I've taken a turn,
all right.
Speaker 3 (06:59):
I'm more optimistic on the forty nine ers, especially seeing
their schedule. They're over underwin total on DraftKings right now
is ten and a half. I'll take the Niners are
going to be back in the playoffs next year.
Speaker 8 (07:10):
They man, I'm I'm trying to follow that.
Speaker 9 (07:22):
They they've kept their nucleus intact between the Kittle Bos,
Trent Williams, you know, Fred Warner, now brock Purty as well.
Speaker 6 (07:31):
It's and the cap plan has been good.
Speaker 9 (07:33):
San Francisco came in this offseason with the second most
cap space to New England, and so they've they've planned
out for this. They knew this was going to be,
you know, what they had to get done this softseason.
And the good thing about brock Perty's deal is it's
a five year extension onto what he was getting this year.
Speaker 8 (07:49):
He'll get a signing bonus, but you know, really it's
it's more of you know, this.
Speaker 9 (07:52):
Year including those five years, so they can really spread
some things out to create more cap space.
Speaker 6 (07:57):
We talked, it was yesterday about this.
Speaker 9 (07:59):
You know, it's really an average of like forty four
million per year, which puts him underneath that mark of Okay,
like he's obviously a good quarterback. He's done really well
for us, but he realizes that he's best suited with
a lot of talent around him, and he saved space
for it.
Speaker 6 (08:13):
So I'm not saying that's necessarily the case.
Speaker 9 (08:16):
With Fred Warner and his deal, but he's a game
changer for them on defense. So I love what they've
done this offseason. I understand your optimism, and I'm kind
of right there with you. I think it's the Rams.
I think it's San Francisco for the division. And then
if you're looking at the conference, I mean, who else
besides Philly are you really looking at? Saying, all right now,
(08:36):
maybe it's Washington, Maybe Washington's the other contender, but I
think the Rams and San Francisco are right there too.
Speaker 4 (08:44):
I'll say this. They their off season has been when
you take a look at it, they definitely I mean,
if you look at the numbers, just to share numbers
of it, they've spent more in this offseason than you know,
the average average teams out there. I think the average
teams are somewhere in the two hundreds range, and I
(09:06):
think that the Niners are in well into the three
hundreds of what they've spent, and in terms of contracts,
does that sound about right? Like the cap spaces like
or the amount I guess anyway, I think I know
what I'm talking about, but I could be off, but
(09:27):
I think they have spent well more than what the
other franchises have spent in free agency. And if you
look at it a bit closer, they're addressing specific needs
like Okay, you you bring in a couple of corners,
you bring in a linebacker, you you bring in a
(09:47):
tight end. Really, you know, if you look at their
special teams, they needed help with special teams. Last year
they were pooring special teams in that category, and it
looks as though John Lynch and company cal shanahan, they
wanted to improve on what they're going to bring to
the table, and with the special teams that they had,
they brought in obviously Mac Jones, who is an interesting
(10:13):
back up to just getting brock Purty signed. Some of
that money that they spent the the Marcus Robinson they
brought in Obviously, I think they're looking at him as
an insurance policy to Brandon Ayyuk. But they do have parasol.
They got Jaywan. Is that how you say jayon jay one? Anyway,
(10:37):
they have some players, and I think by again looking
at it from the standpoint of you have your core
nucleus of guys that are on this team. So you
have Perdy, you have c Maac, you have Ayuk, you
have Trent Williams, and now you're able to say you've
signed Fred Warner. That is your new as the guys.
(11:00):
But again, with all the things that I've said, you
spent money in free agency, You've brought in some good players.
I think they brought in, didn't They bring in Randy Gregory?
And I think that would be an interesting If Randy
Gregory is able to stay you know, afloat, stay above water,
he could be an interesting prospect for them in terms
of what he can bring to the defense in their
(11:21):
pass rush situation. This could be a better team. Like
upon further review of them, my opinion isn't as bleak
as it was before. I couldn't understand why they were
chosen and picked the Odd's favorite to win the NFC West,
but looking at it a little bit closer. While I'm
not fully sold on if Trent Williams and Christian McCaffrey
(11:47):
can remain healthy for long enough during the duration of
the season to be a major impact on this team,
which I think is a very very big question mark
for me, I still think that on paper to day,
before any injuries or anything like that, you it's it
could make sense. It makes sense to say that they
(12:10):
will be good enough to compete for NFC West Conference
Conference Crown.
Speaker 3 (12:16):
Now do you think also with Puka Nakua shooting his
mouth off about how much money they give Brock Party
and whether or not they can be competing again, do
you think when they do finally meet up, which I
think is a week six if I'm not mistaken, Yeah,
I think it's week five, do you think Rock Party
and the Niners and Fred Warner and those guys are
(12:38):
gonna have a little something extra special for Puka and
the Rams for running his mouth and getting in somebody
else's back pocket discussing a contract, Because I do. We're
going to get a fired up forty nine ers this
year and they're going to win that division.
Speaker 4 (12:53):
How about that? That good smoking.
Speaker 6 (12:57):
No, I'm excited. I'm excited for Jonas.
Speaker 9 (12:59):
I want him to make a proclamation though outside just
the over under. I want him that I wanted to
be all in on the forty nine ers.
Speaker 3 (13:06):
They'll be a playoff team. I can say that definitively now.
But I you know, I've got to crunch the numbers.
Speaker 4 (13:12):
But what will their seeding be?
Speaker 3 (13:15):
Listen, we've got all sorts of time to get into that.
I want to see what the offseason holds for them.
I want to see how training camp works. You know,
maybe I'll do a training camp tour with Pete Prisco
and I'll get out there and check out the Niners
up close and personal, and then I'll have a better
understanding for exactly where they're going to finish in the NFC.
But I think they're going to go back to the
playoffs this year. I mean, look, the last time they
(13:37):
had a rough run under Kyle Shanahan, it was I
think the year they drafted Nick Bosa, and then the
next year they were back at it and you know,
making a Super Bowl run. So you know, Michel Williams
is there. They were very high on Michel Williams. They
were surprised he was sitting there. If you believe what
they tell you, at number eleven in the first round,
seems like much more optimistic.
Speaker 6 (13:59):
Wow, why would we not believe what they tell us?
Speaker 3 (14:02):
Well, every team says that we were surprised he was
sitting there, Like, we can't believe that he was still
available at that pick. The Niners said it, Lynch said it.
I'm assuming they're telling the truth. But we've heard other
teams say that as well too. But we couldn't believe
that so and so was there at that pick. It's like, okay, dude,
what do you what are you supposed to say? That's
what we expected. Everybody else is going to pass on
(14:22):
him when we were going to grab him. It's like,
but we'll give him the benefit.
Speaker 4 (14:26):
Of the doubt. There by the way, Speaking of something.
Speaker 3 (14:29):

So now we're going to turn the tables. Where the
hell were you last week? Prisco?
Speaker 5 (16:46):
I was on a beach in the Bahamas. That's where
I was.
Speaker 4 (16:48):
Oh yeah, working on that.
Speaker 6 (16:50):
Yeah nice.
Speaker 5 (16:53):
Oh you know what to LeVar, you'd be so proud.
How dark I am right now?
Speaker 6 (16:57):
I am amazing.
Speaker 4 (17:00):
Close to me, only a closer to me, my guy.
Speaker 5 (17:04):
I mean, it's unreal. I mean I was like a
pro tanning over there.
Speaker 4 (17:08):
It was amazing. Nice.
Speaker 5 (17:10):
It's just unreal. And that had a great time. And
I got to tell you the story. You know, I
root for two teams in sports. One of Arizona State,
obviously because I'm in lum and two is the Florida
Panthers because I go to their games. I've become a
big fan. Well, I'm in the in the Sport in
the casino bar over there, having drinks with my wife
and we're sitting there watching the game that play in
(17:33):
maple Leaves. They're down, you know, to the maple Leafs,
and there's maple leaf fans sitting next to me. And
I looked at them and I said, you guys, know
what's common. Don't even don't even pretend you don't. You
know what's coming. You're the maple Leafs. You're the Clippers.
That's who you are. And I'll be damned if they
didn't tie it up and go to overtime. And when
they went to overtime and won the game, I stood
(17:54):
up and I went yeah, And it was like a
seventy five year old lady sitting about three from Toronto,
sitting about three seats away from me, and my wife
looks at me. She goes, she's ready to kill you.
Oh wow, oh my god. But yeah, the maple Leafs,
you know, they are the Clippers. In case anybody's.
Speaker 9 (18:10):
Wondering, Wow, okay, all right, Pete right out of the gate.
And Pete, I'm just kind of curious as we as
we look at kids, we had talked we talked about
before us.
Speaker 6 (18:22):
Right, go, kids, Do.
Speaker 9 (18:25):
You have an issue with the way the playoffs are
done with the city and all that. Are you more
one of those old school traditionalist where you're like, no
one in your divisions should matter even if the other
team won five more games than you this past season.
Speaker 5 (18:35):
Well, okay, here, here's the thing. If you're going to
do it that way, then get rid of the divisions. Why,
I mean, what don't you like having divisions? Don't you
like having games that when you play a team and
it's sort of a rivalry, you don't like that?
Speaker 6 (18:52):
Yeah?
Speaker 9 (18:52):
I love watching the NFC South square off twice a
year against each other.
Speaker 5 (18:56):
Here's the NFT South will be better than the others.
It's all simple. Everybody complains about it, Pete.
Speaker 9 (19:03):
It hasn't been since the nineties since the AFC South
was with the Jaguars were good.
Speaker 6 (19:07):
Is that what you're trying to say?
Speaker 5 (19:08):
No, I'm just first off, when they were good, they
weren't in the AH South. They used to be in there.
Speaker 6 (19:13):
You go, So.
Speaker 5 (19:18):
They were the Steelers and the Ravens back in the day.
Don't you remember in the Brown tan.
Speaker 6 (19:22):
Yeah, but.
Speaker 5 (19:24):
Yeah, but the point being is what are you just
do away with divisions? Okay, so as somebody who played
division rivalries. You were Browns, you played the Steelers, LeVar
was with Washington, you played the Eagles and the Cowboys
and the Giants. Did you not like those games? Do
you not want those games? Do you do you want
(19:45):
them to mean less? I mean, what what do you
want to do.
Speaker 9 (19:48):
When ask this Pete Like you're basically talking about a rivalry.
You don't want to say it because you know it
will then lead to a conversation, Well you have that
in college football. You don't play teams twice a year,
so you could still have those So you can still
have those rivalries whatever you want to call them. I'm
not saying you need to do with divisions. I just
think you don't need to make the division winner an
automatic home game. You can make it where they hit
(20:09):
automatic qualification in the playoffs, but that shouldn't impact the seating.
Speaker 5 (20:15):
Well, then then the then winning the division doesn't matter.
Speaker 6 (20:18):
Then it does get in the playoffs, like you.
Speaker 5 (20:21):
Why why even play? Why even play the division games?
Speaker 4 (20:25):
Then?
Speaker 6 (20:26):
Because old people.
Speaker 5 (20:28):
Like what do you guys, what do you.
Speaker 4 (20:32):
We're in the same class peak, just so you know,
that's what I was saying. But go ahead, you and
you and you continue on though I'm enjoying them because.
Speaker 5 (20:38):
Because look, either you do it one way or the other.
Either you do away with the divisions and just make
the teams with the best record go to the playoffs,
so all the way down and that's how you see them.
Or you could you continue to use the divisions to
decide who's getting home playoff games. Otherwise the divisions don't matter.
You're basically rendering the divisions useless. That's what you're doing.
Speaker 4 (20:59):
Pret No, you're not pretty much are Uh oh? Here
comes Jonas.
Speaker 3 (21:02):
Okay, but but Pete, your reward for winning a division
is a playoff spot. So it's not like it's just
winning a division doesn't matter anymore. We should just get
rid of them, period. It's just about the seeding you
qualify into the playoffs. But why if you have a
worse record, do you get a home.
Speaker 4 (21:16):
Playoff game.
Speaker 5 (21:18):
Because you won your division?
Speaker 4 (21:20):
But if your divisions suck?
Speaker 5 (21:22):
What if you're in a division, What if you're in
a division that's absolutely brutal and you win the division,
then you have a nine to eight record, should you not?
And somebody goes.
Speaker 6 (21:30):
There, Pete, here's the simplest way of putting this.
Speaker 9 (21:32):
Because the NFL only has thirty two teams, obviously sixteen
on each side.
Speaker 6 (21:37):
I would actually more be in.
Speaker 9 (21:38):
Favor of getting rid of the divisions because you could
create schedules that are more comparable to one another.
Speaker 6 (21:45):
A college football is impossible because the conferences are too big,
that there's too many teams in the NFL.
Speaker 4 (21:50):
You could do it, love it.
Speaker 6 (21:51):
You have a seventeen game schedule, so you literally can
do it.
Speaker 5 (21:54):
The whole different argument if you want to do away
with the divisions, that's an entirely different argument. You're in
your market. What do you mean?
Speaker 6 (22:00):
It's some different arguments you're usually talking about right now.
Speaker 4 (22:03):
I like what you got. I like where you are heading, though,
I like where you guys are heading.
Speaker 6 (22:08):
But that's what I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (22:09):
Let's play NFC. Let's play NFC, a f C. Just
play AFC. Have an NFC championship game, have an a
f C championship game, and do the seedings from there
based off of record and who won the division, how
many how many guys get how many teams get a
bye week. How many teams is it?
Speaker 6 (22:29):
Four? One? One one of these conference one in each.
Speaker 4 (22:35):
Every team doesn't get a bye week for the playoffs?
Right on? One team? Okay, So the winner of the NFC,
the winner of the AFC gets it. Boom, there's the
there's a that's where you guys are heading. I think
that makes a ton of sense what you guys are saying.
If y'all stay on there, going go.
Speaker 5 (22:49):
If you do with the divisions, right, you have the
AFC and NFC, and then the seven best teams get
seated in each each conference without playing divisional games. You
don't have to play two against each division. Okay, that's
a whole different argument. If you want to do that,
that's fine. I'm okay with that. Why even have divisions
if you're not going to play two games against each
(23:10):
team and also have the division winner get rewarded with
a playoff game and for being a division.
Speaker 9 (23:15):
Winner, because you could still give them the reward of
the playoffs by getting in just not giving them a home.
Speaker 5 (23:21):
Why not just do away with the divisions then then
you can, like Pete, we're open to anything.
Speaker 6 (23:26):
That's what we're trying to explain to you. I know
it's hard because you want to argue with that.
Speaker 5 (23:29):
No, I'm not. I'm not if you keep If you
keep the divisions, you should be rewarded for winning your division. Period.
If you don't keep the divisions, then I'm okay with
If you don't want if you want to get rid
of the divisions, I'm okay with that. But you can't
have You.
Speaker 6 (23:43):
Know what this is.
Speaker 9 (23:45):
This is Pete standing on a soapbox right now because
Arizona State and last year, the fact they got them
to buy and how that that's held all well that
went down.
Speaker 4 (23:53):
You know, they were very close to being the Longhorns, too,
very close to that point.
Speaker 9 (23:58):
Now Pete's taking a stance and he's like, no, asked
to meet something because Arizona Street last year did this.
Speaker 6 (24:03):
Now they're turning away with it. They're not gonna allow
my team to beat back. It is.
Speaker 4 (24:08):
That's a great point.
Speaker 5 (24:10):
It has. It has nothing to do with a going
to stay. We're talking about the NFL, not not the
pro game, the college game.
Speaker 9 (24:15):
We're talking about conversations.
Speaker 5 (24:19):
Got to take take cuts to gun to the NFL
took like a four million dollar bay.
Speaker 4 (24:26):
I tend to agree. I don't you know what I
would be okay with not seeing an NFC team play
an AFC team during the regular season and then and
then maybe now the conversation yeah and then yeah, absolutely,
like when it was like what it was the AFL right,
like it was like, yeah, I think that would be
(24:46):
pretty freaking cool and it will be great storylines because
it's like which one is better? Is the FC better?
Is the NFC better? Who's stronger or no? No, is
that and the other? Well, don't find out until the playoffs.
Don't find out until you get to the playoffs. And
I think that would be pretty cool because to.
Speaker 5 (25:05):
Me, you wouldn't find out until you got to the
Super Bowl.
Speaker 4 (25:07):
Well maybe till the Super Bowl, but maybe you could
blend them in the playoffs. Bye bye seeding right bye.
By the record, I don't know if that pits to.
Speaker 11 (25:17):
What you're saying.
Speaker 5 (25:18):
You're what you're saying to do is the complete is
a complete disaster. God, you're saying, take their entire AFC
on one side, the NFC on the other, got them
play only each other during the regular season, but when
you get to the playoffs, re them all.
Speaker 4 (25:33):
Why not?
Speaker 5 (25:34):
Well, because you don't play anybody, you'll play them during
the regular season, Why would you receede them in.
Speaker 4 (25:38):
The same receive them by their by their record? Why not?
Why not?
Speaker 5 (25:46):
Look, you you were almost it. You almost got there
when you said you play everybody played each other.
Speaker 4 (25:52):
We could keep it. We could keep it inn FC,
AFC until you get to the super Bowl. I'm not
I'm not. I'm not gonna die on that hill. Did
he just turn on you? I thought you guys are
on the same team. We're a It's a valid point.
It's a valid point.
Speaker 11 (26:07):
He was just he just ahead of him.
Speaker 3 (26:15):
Hey, Pete, let's let's get into something a little bit
more positive. Let's get himself a little bit more positive here.
Rock parties. Contract extension with the Niners does what to
the team?
Speaker 5 (26:31):
It keeps them, you know, have a quarterback. That's what
it does. Because it was one of those situations you're
damned if you do in your well. I mean, look,
he did a lot of good things last year. He
really did, you know, when they when players were injured,
he didn't play good football, and I think he proved
to them that he was a guy that should get
a contract extension. But if you don't give him the
(26:52):
contract extension. What do you do? What do you do?
You're out there playing the game searching for the Russell
Wilsons of the world that you can't me. I mean,
that's ridiculous. So I think it was I think it
was smart smart.
Speaker 4 (27:07):
But Russell Wilson Russet.
Speaker 6 (27:13):
Pete.
Speaker 5 (27:15):
Russell Wilson is now a big Knicks fan now we
live in Denver. He was a Nuggets fan when he
lived in Seattle. He rooted for this team and these guys.
Speaker 4 (27:30):
And petting Feet Knife sim On Radio. You don't have
Russell Wilson types in your household. You don't talk to them.
That that's not I just don't think you're qualified to
make comments and and take shots at uh at Russell Wilson.
Do you think you're not qualified? Do you think Pete's
out the speed on that the controversy? Pete, have you
(27:52):
heard about the r G three Ryan Clark? Do I
figured you?
Speaker 5 (27:56):
Did?
Speaker 4 (27:58):
They give you no credit? Pete? May me out. I
felt like, let's just do it. You know what I mean,
what's your opinion?
Speaker 5 (28:03):
Just remember here's three words?
Speaker 6 (28:05):
I know, all there you go, there you go, Pete?
What's your opinion on that? Miss?
Speaker 12 (28:11):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (28:12):
Mister opotent omnipotent omni.
Speaker 5 (28:18):
There are certain people at certain networks who invented the
game of football.
Speaker 6 (28:21):
Let's leave it at that, oh.
Speaker 5 (28:25):
Lawski, Yeah, geez, take your pick, whatever you want to do.
There are certain people places.
Speaker 12 (28:34):
And and that's across both sports. By the way, with anything,
huh is it? How does that have to do with
what had she tell.
Speaker 4 (28:44):
Us talking about?
Speaker 5 (28:46):
Well, I mean Lyon Clark is one of them.
Speaker 4 (28:48):
So there you go, he invented football.
Speaker 9 (28:52):
Piece.
Speaker 5 (28:55):
They act like it.
Speaker 4 (28:56):
Pete Risco, the can Man, anybody can get it taking
them all out.
Speaker 5 (29:01):
I mean, look, I mean it's just football. They act
like it's the end all be all that they everybody
invented the game.
Speaker 2 (29:07):
I mean, you don't you know what?
Speaker 4 (29:10):
It does seem like that lately, right, It does seem
like ESPN personalities period, take on this superiority complex. I
feel like we should start a beef like today, you
know what I mean, Let's start the beef, yeah, because
I feel like all of them are a little bit
narcissistic about how they feel about things. You know, It's
(29:30):
like if we say it, that's what it is.
Speaker 5 (29:33):
Right, We're just all breaking down the sport and We've
done it for a lot. I've done it for a
long long time. You guys have been doing it for
a long long time. In our opinions matter just as
much as anybody else's. And you know what, I'll sit
on the soafox and say my opinion is as good
as anybody else. So I'm not gonna see but I'm
not gonna sit there and look down on everybody.
Speaker 4 (29:50):
Like, well, you know what, you're not qualified.
Speaker 5 (29:57):
The voice, the voice, well, you know, kind of reminds
me that you old Brady when you first started with us.
Speaker 8 (30:03):
Look at.
Speaker 5 (30:06):
What you know, Pete. You know you might think you
know that, but you know what, in that locker room
when I was in the locker room, it wasn't when
the media time was in the locker room, when we
were in the corner cutting off and telling jokey.
Speaker 4 (30:24):
Dang, how you sound cute.
Speaker 9 (30:28):
No, but but again we always say, and before we're
backing up on this, the locker room starts on the
media leaves the locker room, not when they're standing there.
Speaker 5 (30:36):
Of course, Brady, we weren't on the teams, but you
know what, we're a you know what.
Speaker 4 (30:42):
Thing, Like I told you Yearssault but none of us
are with ESPN, so I guess none of us know anything.
Speaker 5 (30:50):
We're all the same damn team now essentially we are.
Speaker 4 (30:53):
I guess we don't know anything if we're not.
Speaker 5 (30:56):
You remember that, Brady, Do you remember the media? No?
Speaker 4 (31:00):
Yes, you are walking town.
Speaker 5 (31:04):
He's walking talks. That's a member of the media. He's been,
by the way, he's been a member of the media
since he stopped and he started working at our place.
He's been a member of the media. And you've been
a member of the media for a long time. Finally admitted,
I got, finally that I'm the.
Speaker 9 (31:17):
Most unprofessional media member ever then, and LaVar and Jonas
can back that up.
Speaker 1 (31:24):
Media too.
Speaker 4 (31:25):
I am not a member of the media.
Speaker 5 (31:28):
Yes you are.
Speaker 4 (31:29):
I am a I am an athlete that has infiltrated
the media sphere and I just a moonlight as someone
who seems like they're a host.
Speaker 5 (31:38):
Of Are they members of the media? Yes or no?
Speaker 4 (31:42):
They're members of our media, and that's different members of
the media. That's that's member. Yeah, but there's a difference
between the media and our media.
Speaker 5 (31:50):
Here's what they are. No, here's what they are. They're
media members who didn't come up with journalistic training.
Speaker 4 (31:57):
That's what they are town he hey help me, I
would have to. I would have to push back on
that and tell you and say that you have no
idea what my background represents as it applies to media.
Speaker 6 (32:13):
I'm not pushing back on that team.
Speaker 5 (32:15):
How were you? How were you back in the day, LeVar,
when you were on the feat covering the team? Were
you good?
Speaker 4 (32:20):
You know, I worked for my school newspaper, Pete, and
I was the president of my chest club. And that
is actually a true story journalism. By the way, I am,
Oh god, I ain't even going to be Stu. I
ain't took no classes. I qualified. I'm not trying to qualified.
(32:42):
But I did do a lot of interviews, though incredibly
unprofessional for that.
Speaker 9 (32:46):
If you would say I'm a media member, that's fine,
I'm incredibly unprofessional for it.
Speaker 5 (32:50):
Then you're not unprofessional. You're a professional media member. You're
not a professional.
Speaker 9 (32:56):
Profession I wouldn't say I'm professional like you are much
more profess.
Speaker 4 (33:00):
No, I'm not giving him that. No, No, I think
we're as professional. If anything, I'm more professional than you, Pete.
I'm not giving you more professional than me. No way,
no way, no how no, I just won't go with
that one.
Speaker 5 (33:16):
I just came up a different way, that's all.
Speaker 11 (33:17):
I was raised as a journey What were you doing.
Speaker 4 (33:20):
Were you doing interviews in high school?
Speaker 10 (33:22):
Pete?
Speaker 5 (33:23):
Yes, I was on the school paper. Yes, absolutely, go
look it up.
Speaker 4 (33:28):
And by the way, you do know I wrote. I
wrote blogs for the Washington Post.
Speaker 5 (33:32):
You do know.
Speaker 4 (33:32):
I was a blogger, a writer. You do know that, correct.
And I wrote my own papers in school, Pete. I
did not have somebody doing my.
Speaker 5 (33:40):
Work for me, unlike Brady, who got a's in every
class in Notre Dame because he was a quarterback.
Speaker 2 (33:53):
Remember when I used to do that.
Speaker 5 (33:54):
I draw a a a piece of paper and handed
to you and I go here from the.
Speaker 6 (34:02):
I wish, I wish.
Speaker 1 (34:04):
No.
Speaker 5 (34:05):
Look, look there is a difference though. But we're all
media members. Now. You can't argue that, Brady, Please stop,
You're not You're a media member arguing.
Speaker 6 (34:12):
I didn't argue anything.
Speaker 5 (34:13):
I just said that for years, for years.
Speaker 6 (34:17):
Twenty twenty five. P I could identify however I want.
Speaker 4 (34:20):
That's a great point.
Speaker 6 (34:21):
Identify.
Speaker 4 (34:22):
That is a great point, Pete. I identify the same
pronoun as cute. Thank you very much.
Speaker 3 (34:31):
Old all right old pronouns. Prisco over that spoon, Pete.
Speaker 5 (34:36):
Media members, ah members, Pete. By the way, I'd love
to see that blog and it's pristine state.
Speaker 4 (34:42):
Before you should go check it out. Let me look
it up. Let's see if it's still there. It was
called hard Hits. Oh my god, it was actually really good.
Speaker 5 (34:51):
I wish I got to look at that. I gotta
go find that.
Speaker 3 (34:54):

forget it.
Speaker 4 (35:12):
Unbelievable. The no did we talk about hanging up? What's
ny hanging up the phone?
Speaker 3 (35:23):
You might have dropped them. I haven't heard somebody hang
up a house line in years. If he just did,
