a man who needs to uh needs to go ahead
and be accountable for his Alma Maters actions.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
You welcome in the.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
One and only.

Speaker 4 (01:14):
Albert Preer, Senior NFL reporter, lead content strategist at the MMQB, Amazon,
NFL on Prime Insider, and an Ohio State buck guy
through and through ab Happy Game Week.

Speaker 3 (01:29):
What do you have to say for yourselves?

Speaker 5 (01:33):
I don't. I don't have any comment. I don't.

Speaker 6 (01:35):
I don't have any comment on any of the h
on any of the.

Speaker 5 (01:38):
Business the business affairs of Brady Quinn. So uh, I
think I think I think you guys have have your
own insider on that situation.

Speaker 6 (01:48):
Uh, there, don't you.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
I mean you are in a lum though. We haven't
gotten that perspective. We get a lot of Cincinnati Bengals fans,
Albert who chime in because I call the organization cheap
and they get offended by it, like it's their money.
I'm like, dude, just sorry, but like your organization won't
pay for boomer assize and to fly in for the
Ring of Honor, Like, come on, that.

Speaker 5 (02:06):
Was pretty bad. That was pretty bad.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
Yeah, of course, but in Cincinnati, like these Bagels fans
get so they're so soft and like get disrespected about it.
It's like it's Okay, you've won despite that, like you've
got Trey Hendrickson back as well as t Higgins and
Jamar Chase, despite the fact of how cheap you are,
right right right.

Speaker 5 (02:25):
So I guess now you want me to answer for
like who's getting credential?

Speaker 1 (02:28):
And yeah, no, I'm not saying that. I'm just saying
you are a representation of the Ohio State alumni fan base.

Speaker 7 (02:37):
And I look at it like to Albert, let's put.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
It this way.

Speaker 5 (02:43):
I think I've gotten to the point over the last
forty eight hours where I know too much about this situation.

Speaker 6 (02:48):
I don't know what exactly how far I want to go.

Speaker 5 (02:51):
And I'm sure you know more than I do, Brady,
But yeah, I mean I honestly, I I'm all for
like an angry atmosphere in the stadium, and you know,
like I think like anything that can be done to
to to ramp up like the edgy ness of that place,
because I think you know you've been there enough, Brady,

(03:13):
where it can be like if you're talking about like
run of the Mill game, it like it isn't that
wild in there, But then for a game like this,
it can be like the drunkest edgiest angriest stadium on
on on planet Earth, right, So I'm all for amping
things up going into Saturday, and one way or the other,

(03:35):
it seems like this has done it. So you know,
I don't know, Hub, Are you going to be there? Yeah,
I'll be on the field to come over and say hello,
do you hell?

Speaker 7 (03:45):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (03:45):
How about that?

Speaker 1 (03:47):
But the other people are on the field? Is that you?
Are you flexing right now on certain people?

Speaker 5 (03:53):
Yes? Yeah, I've been. I've been.

Speaker 6 (03:55):
I've been clear to go down on the field.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
So would would you like to come by and meet
Dave Portnoy?

Speaker 5 (04:01):
Yeah? Sure, absolutely, I know Dave.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
I'm not saying you don't. I'm just saying I wasn't sure.
If you want to come by and say.

Speaker 5 (04:09):
Lo, I'd be happy to Yeah. But I mean it's like,
do I gotta do that outside the stadium though?

Speaker 7 (04:13):
Right? You you tell it?

Speaker 1 (04:18):
Maybe you know, maybe there's certain ways of getting it.

Speaker 5 (04:20):
I don't know. I mean there have been some changes.
If there's been some changes, I'm happy to meet it wherever.
I'm good with it. I'm good with whatever whatever you think, Brady,
you tell me where to go.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
I'm not able to divulge anything. Okay, I'm not telling
anyone what is planned to happen, what's going to happen,
what we're attempting to do. I'm not I'm not saying
any of that.

Speaker 5 (04:39):
Okay, all right, Well, well you just tell me went
in awhere and I'll be there. How about that?

Speaker 1 (04:45):
Well, I hope I'll see you where I saw you
the last time. I was a state stadium where we
looked in disbelief in the high state of Michigan. As
was I.

Speaker 5 (04:55):
Yeah, I mean like your crew, someone on your crew
got a picture of me, and I don't know, I
don't know var Jones if you guys have seen this picture,
but somebody from Brady and I think I'm not convinced
Brady did not direct these people to take this picture
of me. But someone from the Fox crew got a

(05:16):
picture of me where I like, legitimately like have like
a serial killer.

Speaker 6 (05:21):
Look at my feel like it's not good.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
It's understandable. I mean, do you think that the I
may and.

Speaker 5 (05:28):
I may or may not have taken taken some some
talking like right in the moment from from your quarterback there,
Jonas Uh, Well, I.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
Was, I was trying to tell the crowd around him.
I was like, every time Albert Breer comes to one
of these games, which is true, Albert, I've seen you
the last four years. States feel to beat Michigan the
last four years. Man, Like, every time I've seen you
with those games, it doesn't work out. Did you colle
the Oregon game too?

Speaker 5 (05:52):
Yeah? But you know what though, Brady, I am three
and oh against Notre Dame, So like, I is it
all three of those games?

Speaker 4 (06:01):
Geese?

Speaker 1 (06:03):
It's flex But like we're not talking about Notre Dame
right now. We're talking about aren't we are?

Speaker 5 (06:09):
We aren't we are? And I badly want to beat them,
and I and I by the way.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
That by the way, apparently all we need to do
is just ask Dave Portnoy to come down for the
note next No State Notre Dame game, and that could be.

Speaker 5 (06:20):
I just, I just I'm just so sick of the false,
false arrogance from them and the fake bravado. And you know,
I mean, you know what those people are like just
like I do, Brady, because people feel the same way
about Michigan people as Ohio State do. So I think
we'd be doing the entire Midwest to favor we can
stuff them back in that locker.

Speaker 4 (06:40):
In November, Albert, do you think that, uh, like is
the A lot of people on the outside look at
it and go kind of a soft move by Ohio
State kind of soft?

Speaker 5 (06:51):
Well, I mean, I like, honestly like the way I
feel about it. I I think, like, bring them in
and let whatever happens happens. Right. I also understand some
of the back and forth that's happened, and I understand
some of the anger. And I like Dave, but I

(07:12):
understand some of the anger towards him, you know, like
from some people in the program. So there are a
couple of thoughts of this story, and it's it's interesting.
I think it's really good for the rivalry the thing
like like stuff like this, Like I I think, I mean, look,
it's like the greatest rivalry in sports. I like, I
think even in a situation where we're not playing them

(07:35):
this weekend and we're on the biggest stage and and
it's still being talked about as good, you know what
I mean.

Speaker 6 (07:42):
Like, so.

Speaker 5 (07:44):
This is why it is where it is, Like, this
is why that rivalry is.

Speaker 6 (07:47):
Different than every other rivalry.

Speaker 5 (07:48):
And you know, the stage this weekend.

Speaker 6 (07:51):
Is the biggest stage because we're on it, and.

Speaker 5 (07:55):
I don't know that you can say that about Michigan's program.

Speaker 6 (07:57):
If they were playing in a game like this.

Speaker 5 (07:59):
So so yeah, anything we could do to fuel fuel
to fire the rivalry. I'm all four.

Speaker 7 (08:06):
Almost.

Speaker 5 (08:06):
I don't remember people talking about Texas Michigan the same
this way last year, That's all I'm saying. Damn, they
did the same game last year. I don't remember people
talking about the game the same We were there for.
There's big stages and then there's the biggest stages, and
this is the big.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
There was a little flex we we were We were
there for that and it did actually feel really big,
right like Michigan national championship. I mean because obviously both
teams were ranked as high as these two teams are,
but it felt really big, Like it felt big from
the Texas fans that were there, It felt big from
Michigan to kind of celebrate their national championship. It felt big.

(08:46):
But to your point, not not not Both teams ranked
as high as these two teams.

Speaker 5 (08:50):
Are, right right right, And and there's both teams quarterback.
That's another difference.

Speaker 8 (08:59):
Oh, Like I said, I'm gonna switch gears to to
Will House. I'm going to get away from the pageantry
of and the politics of Fox and Ohio State and
Fortnoy and go to the politics and pageantry of Dallas.
What's the latest from from your from your information, uh sources?

(09:24):
What what's what's the latest with Michael Parsons? Does Dale
get done imminently or is this really turning into something
that could be maybe a little bit messier than what
maybe even originally thought of.

Speaker 5 (09:37):
Well, well, well, I think that's the first thing. You
got to remember. They're on a different timeline than the
rest of the league. I mean, Tomorrow is ostensibly Monday
of game wait for them, you know, like so it's
sort of go time for them. The same way when
we get to Monday Tuesday, it'll be go game weight
for most teams that are playing the following Sunday. So
you know, this would be when you would be trying

(09:59):
to accelerate talks to work to get a deal done.
And I and I actually don't think this one is
overly complicated, Like I look like I don't think the
big number is an issue, like I think, you know,
the Cowboys have shown a willingness to go on the
average per year to a record breaking point, and I
think they're still willing to go there. You know, Like

(10:22):
the most of the dispute is, you know, over where
a lot of disputes are with Cowboys deals, which is
the length of the deal and the guarantees, and it's
just so much of this is over control, you know
what I mean, Like it's over the player's ability to
lock down like his number and a certain number of
years guaranteed and then the number of years in the

(10:44):
back end the team has control over the player. And
that's that's that that that's happened. I mean, that's one
of the reasons why the Dak negotiation, both of them
went as long as they did, because Dak wanted shorter
term deals and he was able to get him, but
he had to really, you know, get down in the
mud and wrestle with the Cowboys for them, and that's

(11:04):
why those you know, really went down to the wire.
And so you know, like, is there a deal to
be done there, Yes, there's absolutely a deal to be
done there. Has this thing gotten to the point where
it's become personal to some degree? I think it has,
you know, and Jerry's been i mean inside like ownership
circles has been you know, one of the the real

(11:26):
leading voices on you know, we need to draw the
line on certain things and we can't allow the players
have certain controls over certain things. And so you know,
I think, you know, Jerry's obviously in a lot of
cases why he has made players, you know, go to
the very end to get their deals, you know, and
then on the other side of it, you know, I

(11:46):
think you have a player who you know took the
extra year of injury risk and you know, now has
you know, listened to you know, the owner disparage his
agent and you know, tried to do an end around
where they had the one on one negotiation. It's just
gotten so messy, and I think, you know, we all know,

(12:06):
like there's an easy way to solve this, right the
easy way to solve this is to sit down and
hammer out a deal. And I think they're going to
take another swing at it, but I mean, some of
this has gotten so personal, and you sort of wonder
if this becomes one of those situations where they go
into the year with him and on his current contract,
if they can't work out something over the next week

(12:29):
and then he has a lingering back in issue or
then an ankle comes up and before you know it,
like you've blown the whole year and you're tagging him
after the year and maybe trading him. Then again, like
I think that they're going to get a deal done.
I felt that way all along, like before the end
of the season. But I'm a lot less certain of
it than I would have been, you know, a month

(12:49):
or two ago.

Speaker 1 (12:51):
If you're a betting man, does it get done before
their first game?

Speaker 5 (12:54):
Man, it's fifty to fifty. I'm going to say yes, because,
like I just like it's this is based on nothing
other than like Jerry and his handling of his stars,
you know what I mean, Like, and he generally gets
the stars done. But I didn't think that I would
see Micah, you know, with a plate of nachos walking
into the last preseason gamerlaying on the training table. I

(13:15):
didn't think i'd see Jerry calling out Micah's agent the
way that he has a lot of the things that
have happened over the last few weeks, like have really
big changes the dynamic. Here here's the other thing, guys.
It's like you know, Dak and Ceedee Lamb and Zach
mart who've been through this the last couple of years,
those guys were revered in the Cowboys building. Those guys
were all really popular among their teammates. And I don't

(13:38):
know that it's the same way with Micah, So that
could add another dynamic to the whole thing too.

Speaker 4 (13:43):
Albert Brier joining us here on Fox Sports Radio, senior
NFL reporter at the MMQB, Amazon NFL on Prime Insider.
You can get him on ex at Albert Breer, You
had a chance to talk with Josh Allen. What was
your What stood out to you the most in your
conversation with him?

Speaker 5 (13:58):
I mean, just how conscient he is about, you know,
where he is in his career, and like the commitment
he's making to try to make sure that he lasts,
you know, because I think we all have that question
with a quarterback who plays the way that Josh does,
is like, is there is there going to come a
point when you know the damage is is going to

(14:18):
take its toll? You know? And I think the countionary
tales Cam Newton, you know where Cam had the shoulder
issues and things kind of came undone for him quickly,
you know, And Josh has like a somewhat similar playing
style to cam so do you you know, like, if
you know, do you do you look at Josh the
guy who's an answer for the next two or three

(14:39):
years or can he be an answer for the next ten?
And I think, you know, he's really resolved to making
himself the answer for the bills for the next ten years.
And it's like a bunch of little things he's doing,
you know, with sleep, with nutrition and all that, you know,
And then I think, like the other thing was really
cool and talking to him, it's just like how he
wants to be a tone setter for the entire organization
and how he's really embrace that. And one of the

(15:01):
cool things talking to him was just how like it's
not just like how you conduct yourself in the locker room.
He's like, I want to set like the standard for
how you know, players treat the trainers, how players treat
the cafeteria workers, how players treat the fans. And you know,
you see the little clips like on on on social
media and everything else, but I think what the people
there would tell you is Josh is that guy all

(15:23):
the time, and so it's kind of cool to see
like him growing to to that that that that role too.
And I think just as far as like how that
relates to what he's doing from a football standpoint. But
he's just been really locked in, not just this offseason,
but the last couple off seasons. And the scary thing
about him, guys is like when you would go to

(15:44):
a training camp like four or five years ago and
watch him play, like you would sort of see that
break next style where you know, like it's just kind
of anything could happen on any play. And what you
see now in camp, like he still obviously got that,
but like everything looks really easy for him. Everything looks calmer,
everything looks more under control. And so like I think,

(16:06):
you know, in the time, for the time being, it
makes them more dangerous as a player if he's got
that element, you know, if he's got that club in
his bag, so to speak, you know, and then I
think long term, it's gonna it's gonna make it more
sustainable if he can win from the pocket, because you know,
father times undefeated, and as this is the case with
any other quarterback, eventually, you know, physically he's not gonna
be able to do the things that he was doing
when he was twenty three, twenty four, twenty five years old, Albert.

Speaker 1 (16:31):
What's when you get in town for the game? And
then what will you be doing? Can you give us
a little rundown of like, yeah, so this.

Speaker 5 (16:38):
Is uh, this is Stephen Breer and Drew Breer's first game,
so yeah, I will be but this is the this
is the first one that they get to go to.
So it'll be a little toned down. I will say
that it'll be a little toned down. It won't be
like the normal. Like, you know, I wake up eight
am the morning of the game, wondering what the hell

(16:58):
just happened? So I, I, uh, I got to figure
out what we're doing. I gotta figure out what we're doing.
Like the the night before, we're going to go dinner
and all that, like, but we're gonna hang out with
you know, some of my buddies and Arlington who live
over there.

Speaker 1 (17:13):
And then oh oh the upper class of Arlington and
up Upper Arlington is where we'll be going.

Speaker 6 (17:20):
Yeah, Brady, Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 5 (17:22):
I.

Speaker 1 (17:24):
Beers with pinches up over there in Upper Arlington.

Speaker 5 (17:28):
Do you want me to do you want me to
swing by the swing by the shack that you got
out there in Dublin. Brady is that you don't know
where I live. I don't know. I know you live,
I know you where you grew up, I know you
grew up.

Speaker 1 (17:41):
Would I would? Where will you be Friday night?

Speaker 5 (17:45):
I gotta I gotta figure that out. We're do dinner
and we might go over one of my buddy's houses.
But we're pretty free as far as all that goes.

Speaker 1 (17:52):
I heard you got an event going on, right, there's
a lot of stuff going on. Honestly, are you staying downtown?

Speaker 5 (18:00):
I am, yeah, Yeah, we are.

Speaker 1 (18:01):
Okay, I'll text you. I'll text you. Hopefully you can
drop by and see some stuff.

Speaker 4 (18:05):
So okay, cool, all right, ab moment of truth. When
the game ends, do you believe that Ohio State will
have won the game by more than one and a
half points or or do you believe this is a
start of the legacy that arch Manning is going to
leave behind for the University of Texas.

Speaker 5 (18:26):
I think, I think. I think this is going to
be like a sixteen to thirteen, thirteen to ten type
of games. Now. I've talked to Scout who been through
both schools this summer, and what I heard is that
the defense has owned the offense in both places. And
I think that that's probably to be expected with some

(18:47):
of the defensive stars that you have on both sides,
like you, you're Anthony Hills and you're Collins Simmons for
Texas and you know obviously you're Caleb Downs for for
Ohio State. You know, Jermaine Matthews, David that David and
ag Bano.

Speaker 6 (19:01):
Since Sunny Style is coming back, so.

Speaker 5 (19:03):
Uh r bell rees, I think it's gonna be. I
think it's going to be a tough, tight, like like
field goal game, Like I think you know you're gonna
you know, two young quarterbacks. I I I think like
I think a turnover could wind up determining who wins.

Speaker 6 (19:22):
To be honest with you, like so.

Speaker 5 (19:25):
So I I think I think Ohio State pulls out
because I can't like I but I think the game
is a total toss up. Like I I these these
two teams I think are are going to play really even.
And again, I think it's going to be low scoring
and uh turnover could determine it.

Speaker 6 (19:41):
But I'll take the box.

Speaker 3 (19:42):
It's way under the total forty seven and a half.

Speaker 5 (19:45):
That's way under forty seven and a half.

Speaker 3 (19:47):
Yeah, yeah, I.

Speaker 5 (19:51):
Would take the under.

Speaker 3 (19:52):
How about that. So if you want to get parlay.

Speaker 1 (19:55):
So you're saying a lot of you're saying a lot
of tight but cheeks is what you're saying, a lot
of tight but sets off.

Speaker 5 (20:00):
Yeah. Yeah, and I know what that stadium feels like
when it's tight. Again, evidence of me being tight in
that stadium.

Speaker 1 (20:09):
You couldn't have been in a better spot to witness
the final drive for Ohio State versus versus Michigan and
where you were for that exact comment.

Speaker 5 (20:17):
So the field goal, like was the field goal? Like?
If he had missed it, why left? He could have
hit me in the face. So yeah, yeah, that was
I will, I will uh and I conveniently enough, I
don't know Braidy told you this. I was right by
the set so it.

Speaker 6 (20:32):
Wasn't very hard for him to get over to me
and uh yeah.

Speaker 5 (20:35):
And let me know what his thoughts on the game
where Yeah.

Speaker 1 (20:38):
That's it was a two way street. Pal.

Speaker 5 (20:43):
Yeah. So I will send you guys over the just
so you guys know I'm not hiding anything. I will
send you guys over the picture of me and in
the stance so you can see what misery looks like.

Speaker 3 (20:52):
In all seriousness, though, Uh, that's pretty awesome.

Speaker 4 (20:55):
Your boys are getting to go to get to experience
that and then and get to see all that.

Speaker 3 (20:59):
That's gonna be fun. So Albert enjoy it.

Speaker 4 (21:02):
You can get him on x at Albert Brier as
his Ohio State Buckeyes and you heard it from him,
not directly, but Ohio State in the under a slight
lean maybe towards Ohio State in the under in this
game courtesy of our friends at DraftKings. AB always appreciate it.
We'll do it again next week. Have fun this weekend.

(21:22):
There is Amazon NFL on Prime Insider Senior NFL reporter,
lead content strategist at the MMQB. There's nobody worse in
the world to run into when you're really stressing out
about a game than Brady, Like, there's literally nobody worse
in the world. And the fact that you were there
doing this, the fact that you were there and you

(21:44):
spotted him as it was collapsing, that's the worst moment
of his Ohio State fandom that he's had in a
long time.

Speaker 3 (21:51):
That's rough man rough go for Albert Brier.

Speaker 1 (21:54):
I mean, I don't really know what you're trying to
say here, but here's the thing I've you know, we
talked to Albert often. I'll text Albert after this, try
to meet up with him. I know how passionate of
a fan he is, and I also know like he
likes to get after it. Like I've seen him in
different capacities, whether it be the Combine, whether it be

(22:17):
at Super Bowl, whether it be at Ohio State game,
and he likes to get after it, you know, like
he will definitely party hardy. So I also enjoyed that
element of Albert where he lets his hair down a
little bit and he's not just you know, being the
family guy. We know, the football guy. We know he
kind of reverts back to that, like you know, college guy.
So it's fun.

Speaker 4 (22:37):
He also like a legitimate I think he likes college
football more than the NFL because I remember seeing him.
He probably doesn't even remember this, but I remember the
first time I met him was at a South Carolina
Georgia game and he was walking into the bathroom.

Speaker 3 (22:53):
And he was there for it was like one of his.

Speaker 4 (22:55):
Buddies bachelor party, and he wanted to go see a
game and he said, yeah, going to be covering the
Carolina Panthers. So I just came out here to try
and check like he loves college football and being an
Ohio State guy.

Speaker 3 (23:07):
Good time.

Speaker 1 (23:08):
I would venture to say fans who are fans of
their college teams, it's more tribal, it's more cultural. It,
you know, is a is a piece of you as
you're going through your you know, adolescents, your your maturation
to an adult. So people tend to tie to their
college team or alma mater closer than a pro team.
That's that's my opinion. I'm not saying there's not some

(23:30):
diehard fans out there for professional teams. There are, but
you know, again, it kind of just comes down to,
you know, how you were raised and what you were around,
and if you went to school there too, you know,
and especially if your team has a good football team.
Like some of those people who love pro teams, their
school either didn't have a football team, their football team
wasn't very good, and so they kind of latch onto
to a pro team because the college team that's not

(23:53):
even a battle they can fight.

Speaker 3 (23:54):
Yeah, it's gonna be gonna be fun to watch.

Speaker 4 (23:56):
It is two pros and a cup of Joe here

impression start with the verse code. That's why you can
trust kills primers for a smooth and professional finish kills
primers now available exclusively at the Home Depot if you're
a pro, you know, sponsored by the Home Depot. And
we've got Lee's Leftovers coming up here in about fifteen
minutes from now here on FSR. So there's been some

(26:18):
adjusting that's been made to the restrictions for Tom Brady
is a broadcaster with Fox obviously with.

Speaker 3 (26:25):
His role with the Raiders being part owner.

Speaker 4 (26:29):
According to Andrew Marshan of the Athletic, the league will
now allow Brady to participate in production meetings via zoom.
Brady still expected for the report to be barred from
attending practices. It does not address whether, according to Mike Florio,
whether he'll continue to be prevented from entering the facilities

(26:50):
or other teams and or the hotel of the team
that is on the road for.

Speaker 3 (26:53):
A given game.

Speaker 4 (26:54):
But at least we're starting to clear the path for
him to be able to operate normally as a broadcaster,
unlike he was a year ago.

Speaker 1 (27:04):
So there's the what changed, like, what would what would
make any of this change to allow him to now
go do this?

Speaker 4 (27:13):
Do you think like you guys have been in these
meetings with coaches before games. How much information do you
get that maybe a coach would be hesitant to give
somebody who was a member of another team, like Brady.

Speaker 1 (27:28):
Well, let me just say this. Anything all friends it
this way. Anything that they don't want to get out
to the public they are not sharing in that meeting.
So you can go through two deeps. You can go
through like typically one of the first things you want
to do is especially in professional sports, is in actives
because as Levars kind of pointed out about making a

(27:48):
board when you're calling a game, you want to know
which guys you don't have to worry about, or if
you do have something to talk about about them, that's
not gonna be in game, right, You're gonna be talking
about them not being a part of the game. So
you go through a list of actives and active there's
sometimes a handful of players that they've got to test
out medically before the game happens. So once once you
go through that, then you're getting into just different storylines conversations.

(28:12):
But most coaches, they it's wild. They will say things
and meetings and then you will turn around and see
them in the hotel or see them on the field
and then you'll have a real conversation, and then that's
where you get a lot of stuff. But honestly, from
all the games I've ever called, college or NFL, you
will use ten percent of all your preparation, or at

(28:33):
least in my opinion, it shouldn't be any more than
ten to twenty percent of all your preparation that goes
into the game, meaning all the studying, all the notes,
everything else you've done on your boards. And the reason
why I said that is because once the game starts,
that's what you're following. You should be following what's happening
right here, right now, what someone's watching, not what happened
last week, not what happened earlier in the season, you know,

(28:55):
not all this crap. Necessarily, always what's going to happen
in the future, right here, right now, what's happening, why
it's happening, and then staying within that until you get
to the end of the game where you've got a
sense of what the result's gonna be, then you can
spin it forward. So a lot of what happens in
these meetings it is so overdone it's not even necessary anymore.

(29:17):
It really used to be for the producers and directors
to hear from the coaches and players and get a
develop a relationship with them. But honestly, all that stuff's changed,
Like some many of these crews rotate and change over
a year every year. It's just none of it's necessary.
You can get pretty much everything a coach is gonna
tell you. You can get from the press conference, you can

(29:38):
get from the media availability they have throughout the week.
Everything's so accessible now, especially in the NFL, there's almost
no point to have the production meetings because your analyst
most likely is going to go talk to those coaches
and players separately anyway, and that's where he's gonna get
a lot of the stuff he's gonna use, and he
can come back and say, hey, look for this, look
for this, keep an eye out for this. Here's some things.
If it happens, we'll talk about it. But here's some

(29:59):
things I can't talk about. But this is why. So
then they have a better understanding too of what's happening
out there as well.

Speaker 8 (30:05):
Especially a guy of the caliber and respect level of
Tom Brady, he can get whatever information he wants to get.
So this all is like kind of like trivial if
you ask me, you know, it's it's okay you want
to go by the rules or make it, make it
a story to to say that you know, you know

(30:27):
Tom Brady is being compliant and whatever in regards to
the rules, that's fine. But what access really, whether it's
you know, through through the production or not, what what
access is Tom Brady not not privy to?

Speaker 3 (30:48):
Like, That's that's why I asked Almost comical.

Speaker 8 (30:51):
It's it's comical to even have the conversation because whatever
information he wants to get it, he's going to ascertain it,
whether it is him getting it directly or if it's
somebody that he knows that's going to get it for him,
so he keeps himself out of the way of it.
It's just really it's it's actually a silly conversation.

Speaker 3 (31:12):
To be honest.

Speaker 4 (31:13):
And that's why I asked the question, because if he's doing,
say a Patriots game, I mean, is he going to
get more information from Mike Rabel, more intel from Vrabel
during one of these Zoom meetings or from a personal phone.

Speaker 3 (31:28):
Call to Mike Rabel?

Speaker 4 (31:30):
Like I just this almost feels like whoever set this
in motion last year? Kind of took a step back
and realized, I mean, what are we doing? I mean,
they're kind of a waste of time anyways, and if
that's the case, maybe we don't need to necessarily, you know,
have the guy barred from this and then not being
allowed into the facility or at ten practices. Okay, Like

(31:53):
it just it felt like this was kind of done
last year to calm everybody and let him know, hey,
just you know, everything's on the up and up here.
And then they'll slowly start to pull everything away and realize,
you know, it's not really going to impact anything big
big picture.

Speaker 3 (32:07):
I don't think.

Speaker 7 (32:10):
So.

Speaker 1 (32:10):
I just want to know what's changed to make them
change course on it. I mean, did they realize because
Tom was able to just go around everyone or before
the game talk to everyone, so they're like, well, this
feels like a waste of time, Like why are we
barring them from this?

Speaker 7 (32:25):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (32:25):
I mean do you think maybe they looked at some
of the.

Speaker 8 (32:27):
Movie have something to say? Man, it really just sounds
like you want to have something to say. I mean, honestly,
because there's no there's no real there's no real substance
to it, right, what do you pull from it like, okay,
we did this, Tom, You're not going to be allowed
to attend this. You're barred from this, like okay, Like

(32:48):
the Portnoy has way more, way more bite to this
Michigan connection deal than than this one here. Because Tom
Brady is all access. He's all access. He's not barred
or banned from anything. He's all access. So say it
if you want to. That's tongue in cheek. Whatever it

(33:09):
is he's going to want to get, he's going to
get it.

Speaker 7 (33:12):
And in this.

Speaker 8 (33:13):
Scenario at least, it just seems like a silly conversation.

Speaker 7 (33:18):
Man.

Speaker 3 (33:18):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, what I'm talking about me.

Speaker 8 (33:22):
I wonder why he didn't throttle down on on Portnoy,
the fellow Michigan man not getting that access though. Now
that would be a conversation, and that would be a
story if we heard that come out, that you know,
he was getting involved like and coming to back for
for Portnoy, you know, knowing Tom.

Speaker 1 (33:41):
Brady, I would love to hear his opinion on all this.
I mean, just I can imagine it'll be fiery, you know.

Speaker 8 (33:48):
It's definitely going to be a lot of shade whoever
he's talking to about it. He's definitely shooting out a
lot of shade towards Ohio State.

Speaker 4 (33:57):
Do you think he's broken Vrabel's ball about it being
Ohio State guy, like, they're good.

Speaker 7 (34:02):
Buddy, He's definitely it.

Speaker 8 (34:05):
Believe me, there are there are shay grenades being lobbed everywhere.

Speaker 7 (34:09):
If you're a Michigan man.

Speaker 1 (34:11):
By the way, what is what if Albert Breer saying
if he's here's where I know if if Tom Brady's
grown as a you know, color analyst, if he makes
reference to it in this game in week one, if
he makes reference to it somehow, some way, that's how
you know he's grown as a broadcaster. If you can
figure out a way of working at a dig at
Ohio State from the broadcast booth during an NFL game.

Speaker 4 (34:34):
Yeah, because remember like one of the it was probably
it felt like it was the most Tom Brady you
got from him all year, was when the story came
out where Baker Mayfield was on you know, a podcast
and said, you know, guys just wanted to have fun,
and then Brady addressed it during the game, like basically
talked about it during the game. If he's got that
sort of comfort level, everything's gonna be fine, It's gonna

(34:56):
be great in hear two, but I did. Albert Breer
is saying that, well, you know, there's there's a bunch
of different sides to the story here.

Speaker 3 (35:03):
What do you mean.

Speaker 7 (35:06):
There aren't a bunch of different sides.

Speaker 3 (35:08):
It's not you banned a guy because he's rooted for Michigan.
He didn't even play for him. What do you mean,
no sign?

Speaker 8 (35:17):
He is literally the Boogeyman now and he shouldn't even
have been a boogeyman, Like, that's crazy that man gets
to call himself the boogeyman.

Speaker 7 (35:26):
He's got more attention.

Speaker 8 (35:28):
They put more attention on shutting him down than than
probably the best player on text, arch Manning.

Speaker 7 (35:35):
I mean there's been more of.

Speaker 8 (35:39):
A push to make sure that a guy that isn't
even impacting the game can't come in versus anything that
has to do with the game.

Speaker 7 (35:48):
I mean that's I don't know, man like it, Like,
how will this?

Speaker 8 (35:53):
I mean maybe it probably won't ever even be remembered,
Like people most likely won't remember this after you know,
so many weeks. But I mean this has to be
historically speaking, I mean, it's got to be a low
moment for the level of program that Ohio State is

(36:14):
for you to even pay any attention, like to give this,
for this to have gotten any life. I just wonder
was it. Did they want to like do something to
them to have packed them monetarily or like business wise,
like what was the premise of doing it? I mean,
just to keep them out? Like I just don't feel

(36:34):
like it's that simple.

Speaker 7 (36:36):
It can't be.

Speaker 4 (36:36):
It's I mean, it'll come up big time when they
meet in November like this, and especially that's at the
Big House.

Speaker 8 (36:43):
I mean, does this it's Portnoid's the catalyst of going
into the Michigan which I was going to make it
that because I'm in my mind like this is the
Michigan House they think, is it even the catalysts of
that game? I think I think everything that happened in
the game last year will will be the catalyst.

Speaker 7 (37:04):
Like the way that they went in there.

Speaker 8 (37:06):
They came out to that music that became viral, you know,
wasn't wasn't the flag last year too? Didn't they didn't
they get into a fight at the fifty yard line
or whatever?

Speaker 7 (37:16):
Yeah?

Speaker 8 (37:17):
Yeah, I mean I think there's going to be a
lot more real you know, storylines connected to when they
get to get around to the game than saying they
didn't allow Portnoy into the Ohio State.

Speaker 7 (37:30):
I mean, I think so who knows.

Speaker 4 (37:33):

for fifteen weeks during their athletic season. This because these
three universities eat more Chipotle than any other.

Speaker 1 (39:11):
Someone told me they were getting like a card where
they get like unlimited throughout the season.

Speaker 10 (39:15):
Yeah, that's what I thought at first, But yeah, you
read the fine print. It's one per week.

Speaker 5 (39:19):
All right.

Speaker 1 (39:19):
Hey it's still Hey. Look these kids got it, good man.
You give me a burrito a week, I'd be happy.
They got to Oh no, sorry, guys, j am I bad.
I maybe had one yesterday. It won't happen again. Sorry,
that slept out.

Speaker 10 (39:37):
I if there were free hot dogs, Brady, would you
have those?

Speaker 1 (39:39):
Are the Pento beans hot dogs? Hell now, I'd be
giving that back to Jonas.

Speaker 4 (39:44):
Do they.

Speaker 3 (39:46):
Like does Chipotle have any good food or is it
just like what they normally?

Speaker 7 (39:50):
Their food is good?

Speaker 3 (39:51):
Man, don't I don't like it at all.

Speaker 5 (39:53):
I don't.

Speaker 1 (39:54):
Yeah, that's not surprising. What right, it's like that's brought in.
You don't like food that's brought in the studio by
some fans? Facts?

Speaker 4 (40:02):
Yeah, yeah, I'm used to. I'm used to real Mexican food,
so I'm not Uh.

Speaker 9 (40:07):
Yeah, oh no, ba sereal?

Speaker 3 (40:18):
What else?

Speaker 1 (40:19):
We go? What else?

Speaker 6 (40:21):
Yeah?

Speaker 10 (40:21):
Move on from Chipato, guys. Nebraska's finally selling beers at
Memorial Stadium. They have one hundred twenty one thousand tall
boys ready for the fans.

Speaker 1 (40:30):
But is that enough.

Speaker 8 (40:32):
At at Beaver Stadium?

Speaker 7 (40:36):
Is that enough? I hope not?

Speaker 1 (40:38):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (40:38):
Well yeah it's not enough.

Speaker 10 (40:40):
Oh no, he's a He's challenging fans to see if
they can if they can finish off the one hundred
and twenty one thousand. Obviously, Memorial Stadium holds about eighty
five thousand.

Speaker 4 (40:49):
By the way, I think Armies gonna start selling booze
at their games this year too.

quick buck.

Speaker 7 (41:01):
Yeah, little revenue.

Speaker 8 (41:02):
