Speaker 2 (00:32):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (00:37):
Yeah, Lee is verbal tip.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
You damn narcissist.

Speaker 4 (00:44):
Lee, Lee is kaiser. So say Lee was making up
all of the story the entire time, limped up out
of the office, limped to the sidewalk, walk to the car.

Speaker 3 (00:59):
And Todd's Cobeyashi, and Todd.

Speaker 4 (01:01):
Is come Bayashi, Kumbashi. How you said, come Bayashi? That's
what I said, kobayash Kobyashi. That doesn't sound right to me.
That doesn't sound like the name I remember you said.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
Doesn't sound right.

Speaker 4 (01:27):
He but back to the original point. That would be
wild as hell, Todd opening the door for like all along,
Lee's been the undercover boss basically oh man, Like that
would be wild as ass like. I gotta let you
in on a secret. You do know that Leeds Like

(01:51):
owns this station.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
Oh so good. He's a bad guy.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
It's so good. It is two pros and a cup
of Joe. Here on Fox Sports Radio, LaVar Arrington, Jonas
Knox with you here. No, Brady Quinn has mentioned earlier,
violated our ped policy. Pissed hot while trick or treating
with the family, You get on the gas, you get
a set of show out.

Speaker 4 (02:12):
That's the way this world. The true story is is
that the Jets won. So he called off because he
didn't want to have the conversation with me about Aaron
Rodgers and the Jets.

Speaker 3 (02:21):
He figure, let you have it.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
Yeah, yeah, you're celebrating a big win for the Jets.
Crazy now, I know what you're thinking. Hey, it's all
about the w Yeah, don't ignore that first half though,
because that was a just a bag of garbage that
the Jets rolled out in the first half. They were
getting booted off the field and rightfully slow. Nobody really
garbage that the Texans rolled out too. Yeah, let's be clear.

Speaker 4 (02:46):
We've talked about the Jets a whole lot during the
conversations earlier on in the show. But what we didn't
talk about is how poorly the Texans played too, Like
wasn't so poor like poor poor.

Speaker 3 (02:58):
In the first half, but it was not. It was
not great. I was not great at all.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
Like I look at the Texans and I just have
not been impressed with them all year. And I know, look, CJ.
Stroud's a really talented player and really good, but they've
got injuries at wide receiver, apparently, they got o line issues.
They gave up eight sacks, you know last night in

(03:23):
the game. I just it's concerning. And you look at
the division, you go, well, they're helped out by the
fact that you know, Tennessee stinks, Indianapolis, who the hell knows,
you know, if they're going wacko for Flacco and he
makes another run and then Jacksonville's not good either, so
they're gonna get bailed out in the division. But I

(03:44):
don't look at Houston as like a legitimate, real live
threat in the AFC.

Speaker 4 (03:49):
Like to me that the thing, it's too competitive. They're
not showing the signs of being able to stand up
to the Buffalo's, to the Kansas City's too, even the Ravens,
you know, those are the ones that I'm looking at,
and that's the one. The rest of the group, like
you can have they're in the rest of the group,

(04:10):
you know, with the Steelers, you know them, you know,
I don't know what Denver. We throw Denver into conversation
at this point. The rest of them, whoever you want
to go with the rest of the AFC, they got
to be worried about if they can contend with Buffalo,
Kansas City, and Baltimore.

Speaker 3 (04:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (04:30):
So they didn't look like it. They didn't look like it.
The Jets certainly didn't look like it. So I think
it was more, if I'm being honest, the storyline, the
bigger storyline here is we're out of point in the
season where a team like the Texans shouldn't let allow
for a team like the Jets to get through the

(04:50):
game with them.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
Hey, by the way, I was gonna mention this as
we were previewing the Penn State Ohio State game. Olu's
getting his jersey retired this weekend.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
Aaron Rodgers mentioned it on Amazon afterwards and said, Olufashan
who was getting his jersey retired at Penn State this weekend.
I didn't know that and he was making the comment.

Speaker 3 (05:11):
That's ever been done.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
That's why he was making the comment that, like, yeah,
he's getting his jersey retired at Penn State.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
Was serious.

Speaker 1 (05:19):
I think he was being serious. He said, I've been
out of the out of cal for twenty years. I
don't have my jersey retired. He's been out four months
and they're retiring. Hiss, Jersey Lee. Can you fact check
that seemed.

Speaker 3 (05:30):
What would be the premise of the retirement.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
I don't know, but that's that's kind of what he
threw out there.

Speaker 3 (05:36):
So that's not accurate.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
I mean, well, listen, if only we had like some
good sourcing here when it comes to Penn State stuff
on this show, Like if we could get that, I mean,
we'd really be crossing off a lot of a lot
of tasks here getting stuff done. But that is the
this story from last night. We will effort whether or
not that is true that Olu.

Speaker 3 (05:56):
Is getting his that's not a Penn State thing. I know.

Speaker 4 (06:01):
That's just being honest with Yeah, I don't think that
that's accurate.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
Okay, listen, Aaron Rodgers said it. I mean, are you
calling Aaron Rodgers a liar? No, I'm not calling him
a liar. I'm just saying that that's just not he's misinformed. Okay,
he's missing formed. Unless I'm misinformed on you might be misinformed.
You think that's more likely.

Speaker 4 (06:24):
But it's definitely not likely that his jersey's getting retired.
I'd say that, and that's not throwing shade, that's just
that's just not what Penn State does.

Speaker 1 (06:34):
Do we have any info on Olu getting his jersey retired?

Speaker 3 (06:38):
Efforting? Yeah, you're going to be efforting for a while.

Speaker 1 (06:41):
Like, I mean, look, he had a good career there,
Saquon Barkley get his jersey retired.

Speaker 4 (06:48):
But bro, Bro, he's not getting his jersey retired. Like,
if there was a jersey that was going to get retired,
it would have been twenty two by now or what
triplett his would have goat retired.

Speaker 3 (07:03):
It would have been.

Speaker 4 (07:07):
Kerrie Collins, you know. I mean, there's just you know, yeah,
it doesn't make any sense thirty three would be retired,
you know, jack Ham, But yeah, I don't He's there's
no jerseys. I don't think there's one singular jersey number
that's retired, to be honest.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
So that's why I was a little surprised so maybe
maybe he's referring to something else. But I could have
sworn Aaron Rodgers of that post game last night. But
nonetheless still doesn't change the fact that Jet's got a
big win and the Houston Texans have got some problems,
especially on the offensive line of their own, to have
to worry about. All Right, So we're going to have

(07:47):
a discussion here coming up shortly on proper etiquette.

Speaker 4 (07:50):
Cappelletti. By the way, he's twenty two. Just for those
who didn't know, when I say twenty two, Cape our
only Heisman Trophy winner.

Speaker 1 (07:59):
I saw his high at the football daigo.

Speaker 4 (08:02):
Yeah, when y'all were just walking around, just walking around,
trying to get me in trouble.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
Lie's walking around.

Speaker 4 (08:08):
I was like, I'm going to show him, Like, Lee,
where are you at, bro? He's like, I'm just sitting
out front and you know, the little lobby area. I'm like, Bro,
if you don't get your ass back here, getting this
room and stay your ass in this room, gotta go
to the restroom though, la Is it.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
Okay if I go? Yeah, man, but you gotta come
right back. Yeah. I was trying to get me in trouble. Lee.

Speaker 1 (08:31):
Indian Von Olu getting his jersey retired.

Speaker 3 (08:35):
Nothing yet?

Speaker 1 (08:35):
What is the Wi Fi down?

Speaker 4 (08:37):
No, it's just not going to be on the Why
it's not going to be on the internet. I don't
know why he said it. Listen, man, that's just what
he He might have been just making fun whatever, having
a joke.

Speaker 3 (08:46):
I mean, who cares? All right?

Speaker 1 (08:48):
So, so we we are going to do something right
now that we do every single week here on the show.
We are going to look into the future. We are
going to spread them. It's time for.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
This five lines, not those kind of lines. Five picks,
five spreads. Time for picks against the spread?

Speaker 1 (09:13):
All right, So who wants to get this work? Lee?
How do we stand what happened last week? Well, last week, Jonas,
you did.

Speaker 5 (09:19):
Start off pretty strong by being the only one who
took the Browns to upset the Ravens. Of course, they
beat the Ravens twenty nine to twenty four, so you
alone were on that hill.

Speaker 3 (09:28):
LeVar. You were the only one who took the.

Speaker 5 (09:30):
Eagles surprisingly to beat the Bagels in Cincinnati, and then
you doubled down on that you didn't need the points.
You took Cardinals money line versus Miami. They won by
one point there, everybody took the Chargers to beat the Saints.

Speaker 3 (09:45):
Yep, that worked.

Speaker 5 (09:46):
They won that decisively, and then it came down to
Sunday Night football. Brady actually was the only one who
took the Niners to beat the Cowboys.

Speaker 3 (09:54):
You guys all want to end it upset? There? What
it ended up shaking out to be.

Speaker 5 (09:58):
I took I had the most LeVar three and two
Brady and Jonas.

Speaker 3 (10:02):
Two and three less week.

Speaker 1 (10:04):
Sorry, I mean one game, but I mean, what are
the overall stands?

Speaker 3 (10:06):
Well, the overall standings are close, but Jonas, you are
on top. Jonas on top.

Speaker 5 (10:11):
He's twenty three fifteen and two, and I'm what, twenty
three seventeen.

Speaker 4 (10:17):
I'm twenty three seventeen and he's twenty three fifteen And
those two pushes.

Speaker 3 (10:22):
Yep.

Speaker 4 (10:23):
He doesn't have more wins than me, He doesn't have
more picks than me, but he has less losses. So
what so that he's got pushes? Yep, yep, that makes
his record better?

Speaker 1 (10:35):
Yep?

Speaker 5 (10:37):
How because he has less losses pushed, Well, he doesn't
have more wins, but you don't have more wins, right,
So how's he in the league because he has less losses,
but he doesn't have more wins record.

Speaker 3 (10:49):
Maybe what push? All right, come on, let's go.

Speaker 4 (10:55):
It doesn't matter because I'll i'll, I'll take it this
week and less lead by manufacturers that you know, unless say,
manufacture some more.

Speaker 1 (11:04):
Now, have you sent over the games that you're picking?
Because these are picked at random by lead? He picks
the five games in the NFL each week's have you
sent these over to Brady yet? Or is he gonna
wait until after the games are over and be like, well,
I'm f five at all.

Speaker 3 (11:16):
He might have an advantage because I will send him
your picks.

Speaker 5 (11:19):
But if he doesn't send them to me before Sunday morning, no,
go for Brady. Okay, but it doesn't matter because he's
so far behind it's ridiculous.

Speaker 1 (11:27):
Yeah, but we don't hear about that. All we hear
about is Knox locks and the struggle of Knox locks
and blah blah blah blah blah. Meanwhile, Brady's defecated down
his leg when it comes to these pics A year long.

Speaker 5 (11:38):
Yeah, Quinn wins to talk about that. Quinns wins ain't
doing great either, But did he.

Speaker 1 (11:42):
Go into and Quinn's wins last night. Well he should have,
all right, So what have we got this?

Speaker 6 (11:49):
All?

Speaker 4 (11:49):
Right?

Speaker 3 (11:49):
This week?

Speaker 5 (11:50):
We got Cowboys at Falcons. Falcons are a three point
favorite at home. I'll take Dallas get in the three points.
I'm gonna take Atlanta. Why do I always take Dallas?

Speaker 1 (12:05):
I'm so sick of this craft? Like the Cowboys are
like the X that you know is crazy, but it's
really a lot of fun.

Speaker 3 (12:15):
But you.

Speaker 4 (12:17):
You just gotta stay with her and go trigger treating
with her and stuff like that. I've taken Atlanta.

Speaker 3 (12:24):
Cousins versus Zimmer alright. Uh, we've talked about it. Raiders
at Bengals. Joe Broke calls it a must win. They
are a touchdown favorite at.

Speaker 4 (12:33):
Home, touchdown favorite at Yeah, I'm gonna take the Bengals.

Speaker 3 (12:40):
All right.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
And what the hell was that against Philly last week?
Like the first half like that was a really close game,
and the second half they just came out and melted.

Speaker 4 (12:49):
I mean, the Raiders need a quarterback, so I'm gonna
take to take them.

Speaker 1 (12:54):
If you listen to Antonio Pierce, they need an offensive
coordinator too.

Speaker 3 (12:58):
Well, they need a lot of things there. What else
we got game?

Speaker 5 (13:02):
We're all looking forward to Saints at Panthers Derek car
versus Bryce Young Saints touchdown favorites on the road.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
Is there a who cares lying on this? Saints are
a touchdown favorite on the road. I'll take Carolyne. I
come on, Bryce Young, You're getting seven points at home
against a bad Saints team that's lost six in a row.

Speaker 3 (13:21):
Let's go now, I'm gonna take the Saints. Buddy's back
this week, right, Derek Carr's back. Yeah, I'm gonna take
I'm gonna take the Saints, all right.

Speaker 5 (13:30):
That'll for the NFC North Lions are two and a
half point favorites at Lambeau Lions.

Speaker 3 (13:40):
Yeah, I'm gonna take the Lions in this one.

Speaker 1 (13:42):
Oh, I get a weird feeling about this game.

Speaker 4 (13:44):
I don't know why. That's offense. You wrote defense, and
now you know and now you sound like Oh. Jonas
was so right. He he thought that there was a
weird feeling. I'm gonna I'm gonna roll with Detroit. I
just get a weird feeling about the game. I don't know,
there's just something something feels a little off about at it.
It's almost like Detroit to.

Speaker 3 (14:01):
Do for a letdown. I'll go on with Detroit Sunday
Night Football.

Speaker 5 (14:08):
Joe Flacco heads to Minnesota Colts at Vikings.

Speaker 3 (14:11):
Vikings five point favorites at pick the Vikings.

Speaker 1 (14:15):
Oh Man five points. I will take Minnesota as well too,
but I feel a lot more common.

Speaker 3 (14:25):
You go right there, you go right defence again.

Speaker 1 (14:27):
I don't want to just make a If you just
make a pick, it's boring radio. I want to give
like an analysis of this game, and I'm just telling
you right now, I'd feel a lot better.

Speaker 4 (14:37):
About the pick to some analysis. Well, give analysis. Why
you're picking Minnesota.

Speaker 1 (14:42):
I feel would feel a lot better.

Speaker 4 (14:44):
No, I'm picking Minnesota because they're the better team and
you're playing at home. There's your acknologs.

Speaker 3 (14:48):
Nice.

Speaker 1 (14:49):
I feel a lot better about Minnesota in this game
if it was Anthony Richardson playing.

Speaker 3 (14:53):
It's not.

Speaker 1 (14:54):
It's Joe Flacco. But guess what, I'll still come back
around to Minnesota.

Speaker 3 (14:57):
Put a seat on your bike, bro, Come on.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
Damn wow, what's that supposed to be.

Speaker 4 (15:08):
While you were out in the fence, Bro? Like, yeah,
put a seat on it, sit on, sit on? What
you got going on?

Speaker 3 (15:14):
We're comfortable this.

Speaker 1 (15:15):
Way too, all right?

Speaker 3 (15:17):
So we got Lee that is your pix against man.
So there we go. Roll with you man, Hey, yeah,
issues bro row with you.

Speaker 6 (15:30):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (15:30):
It is Two Pros and a Cup of Joe here

Speaker 3 (15:35):
With you here.

thing in the NFL, and that's yours right here on FSR.

Speaker 2 (15:47):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the Hard Radio.

Speaker 1 (16:00):
App Two Pros and a Cup of Joe here on
Fox Sports Radio. So we are going to have some
tips for you here coming up on for a major event.
There's a major event going on in the world of
sports and beyond a few hours from now. We'll get
into that here shortly. I did want to mention this
jamis Winston has turned into one of the great speakers

(16:25):
of all time because none of it ever makes any
sense at all whatsoever, whether it's eating a w whether
it's talking about fans cheering, when Deshaun Watson got injured,
like none of it makes any sense, and so he's
getting ready for his second start for the Browns this season.

(16:45):
They beat Baltimore last week. They're hosting the LA Chargers
on Sunday, and so Jamis Winston decided to share and
discuss his pregame speeches. Let's take a listen, this is
who I am.

Speaker 6 (17:01):
Like a lot a lot of people, you if you
spend time trying to figure out who is this guy,
you're wasting your time. That's just that's just who I am.
I'm not rehearsing things. What I am rehearsing is our plays.
If you want to hear me call a play, call out,
I'll rehearse that for you. I am doing that in
the maryor I am having my wife call out plays
and stuff like that. So if you want to see
some rehearsal stuff, find me going over to the playbook. Well, no,

(17:23):
that that not to eat a w was that was?
That was something that was just brewing, you know what
I'm saying. Like I started with alphabet soup, you know,
then it ended up being pancakes, w pancakes, and then
it ended up being in the wh So that that
was that was something that But I've always done that.
I've always done eat a w you know, because you
know alphabet suits growing up in the hood, Like you're
gonna eat alphabet soup.

Speaker 2 (17:43):
Yeah, I'm only eating.

Speaker 1 (17:44):
The w Elsey talking about dude. Spaghettios well, I know, listen,
I used to eat it when I was a kid too, which,
by the way, now spaghettios are terrible, Like I don't
know why we used to be forced to eat that
when we're kids, but just not good. But it is
kind of funny how that organization needed a change at quarterback.

(18:08):
And as weird as Jameis Winston appears to be at times,
and as off the wall as some of the stuff
that he says, it might be exactly what they needed
coming off of whatever the hell you called the Deshaun
Watson run there in Cleveland.

Speaker 4 (18:24):
I think Jamis Winston makes a ton of sense. I
understand what he's saying. I just think that it's his delivery.
It's his the way he looks with his delivery. I
think it's just all of it put together. I think
if you peel back the layers of just like kind
of the surface of it, he's actually a pretty profound dude.

(18:48):
And not only is he a pretty profound dude, but
I think he's a dude that garners the respect of
his teammates. And I think that goes all the way
back to when he, you know, led Florida State to
the type of season that he did and won the Heisman.

Speaker 3 (19:05):
He's I mean, to me, he's a special dude.

Speaker 4 (19:08):
And whatever took place that led to, you know, his
kind of departure, which was probably interceptions, led to his
departure from Tampa Bay, and then how he's turned into
a journeyman after that. It is what it is. Circumstances
are what they are. But like one of his pregame

(19:29):
speeches like listen, you never know when opportunity is going
to come knocking, but if it does, like open the door,
take advantage of the opportunity. And I think Jameis Winston
realizes that this could possibly be his final opportunity to
solidify himself as as a guy who can start in
this league. And what better way to do it than

(19:52):
with a team that knows they have the personnel, they
have the talent to be able to win, but yet
have not won. And the uniqueness of this also presents
the fact that I think they all would would say,
we just need more stability at that position in particular.

(20:14):
We need more production, we need more leadership from that
position in particular, and Jamis Winston seems to be the
one who is stepping up and fulfilling that role. It's
not about his talent. We know he has the arm
talent to be able to do it. I've never heard
anybody question his ability to learn plays like his IQ

(20:38):
in terms of being someone who can learn a playbook.
So if those are all the elements that could be
the reason why he's not playing, or he's not starting somewhere,
then why isn't he playing? And why isn't he starting somewhere?
And now, lo and behold, through the wildest of circumstances,
like a guy comes in, gets all this money, he's

(20:59):
going to be played regardless of what happens seemingly because
of how much he makes ends up getting a season
ending injury, and he's propelled into a position where you
know he's at right now. If he plays well, he
continues to play well, he does himself a service, he
does his teammates of service, and he does the fans

(21:21):
of the Cleveland Browns a service. If he doesn't, he
really has nothing to lose, only the game, which he
just becomes a character. He becomes, you know, a person
that entertains you along the way. And I think he
understands his entertainment value and what he says and what
he does. But underneath all of that, that's a grown

(21:44):
ass man. And I think people should probably take the
time a little bit more to actually understand that Jameis
Winston is not a joke. He's not a clown. Jameis
Winston is an NFL quarterback and now, as of now,
he's a winning star quarterback in the National Football League
with the opportunity to continue to win with a team

(22:05):
that has the personnel to be able to win.

Speaker 1 (22:07):
I mean, he's coming up on a decade in the league.
You don't last a decade in the league if if
you're not if you can't play. And he's had you know,
really really good moments. Obviously, he you know, went to
a Pro Bowl when he was in Tampa Bay to
start out his career, and yeah, it was look, it
was the you know, the thirty interceptions he threw, you
know in that in the final year there in Tampa

(22:27):
that they finally decided, all right, this ain't working. We
got to go in a different direction. They land Tom Brady,
they won a Super Bowl. But the part I wonder about,
and the two teams that I think about, and the
two coaches I think about are Shane Steichen and Kevin
Stefanski of the coltson of the Browns. It was almost
like fate intervened and made the decision for them that

(22:54):
they probably wanted to make but couldn't because of very
ring circumstances, like we drafted him high, or we paid
him a bunch of money, We've got to stick with him.
Anthony Richardson opting out of that game gave Shane Steichen
is out.

Speaker 4 (23:11):
Let me ask you this, if if Deshaun Watson had
opted out of the game, out of a game that
he was playing in, do you think he would have
got benched? See to me, this is all about there's
levels to this, right, Like if Anthony Richardson had a
Deshaun Watson contract him opting out is interpret it internalized

(23:37):
in a way where whether you liked it or not,
you have to tolerate it, whether you whether you agree with it,
or not. You got to tolerate it.

Speaker 1 (23:45):
Yeah, And like my point on this whole thing is
that I just I look at it and I go
Kevin Stefanski's probably feeling the same way. It's unfortunate that
Deshaun Watson got hurt, but Stefanski's probably looking around him
insane got a chance and also saying, have you guys
seen me as coach with other quarterbacks not named Deshaun Watson.

(24:07):
We're good like we go to the playoffs. It's happened
multiple times, Baker Mayfield, Joe Flacco, We're good here again.

Speaker 4 (24:15):
It goes back to my original point to where me
and Q had our whole little dust up. It was
not his decision to play Deshaun Watson. He said it
was his decision. It was not his decision. That's what
I believe. I stick by that he was taking it
for the team. He was told to you have to

(24:38):
do everything that you possibly can to justify this investment.
I need an ROI on this return. Okay, I'm gonna
make the decision to play them, but you're also making
the decision to sacrifice your job when this doesn't work.

Speaker 3 (24:56):
You're taking one for the team.

Speaker 4 (24:58):
I don't know how long his contract, how long ago
he's done a contract extension, but it was seemed like
to me, by doing what he was doing the road
he was going down, he was obviously going to eventually
lose his job because of how poorly the team was
going to do, but he was going to continue to
get the money that's in his contract.

Speaker 6 (25:17):
You know.

Speaker 1 (25:17):
Well, it just kind of in a similar spot. And
I've been thinking about this, our old buddy dump truck Nuts,
Brian day Ball, when he got to New York. He
first of all people, forget first year in New York,
not only did they go to the playoffs, they won
a playoff game, they beat Minnesota on the road and
then got you know, sand blasted by Philly the next week.

(25:40):
But he did all that with Daniel Jones, and it
was almost like he did such a great job of
developing and winning games with Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley
that first year that they turned around, gave Daniel Jones
the contract and all that, And now Brian day Ball's
kind of like, well, no, no, you did it one year,

(26:02):
Like why can't you do it now? And I think
that's why Dave Ball's been so brutally honest about look
on Hard Knocks the off season where he's like, hey,
would you trade up for Jaden Daniels, Yes, like openly
saying there's a quarterback in the draft I'd rather have
over Daniel Jones. And it's like he doesn't find himself

(26:26):
in a spot to where there's been enough there from
the organization to whereas you say, they're like, listen, it's
your job to get the most out of this guy,
and if it costs you your job, then that's it.

Speaker 3 (26:37):
Then so be it.

Speaker 4 (26:38):
Yeah, but we made this investment, so you better figure
it out and make it work.

Speaker 1 (26:42):
And it's just like I wonder if if you were
to pull those coaches aside, like Steichens, Defan Ski, Brian
Dabon and be like, all right, be honest, if you're
making the call here, what's the move? They would have
made this switch a long ass time ago, but they
can't like it.

Speaker 4 (27:02):
And that's and that's the point, Like you get these
guys on these rookie contracts, or you get them on
you know, a situation like the Russell Wilson situation was
just kind of that's kind of unique the way that
played out you know, and Denver actually doing what they
did in the scenario. But if you're the Steelers, it's like,

(27:24):
what a great benefit. There's only upside to it because
both commodities, both both assets that they brought in and
him and then Justin Fields, they were actually able to
test out the theory, and the theory so far seemingly
makes sense.

Speaker 3 (27:40):
Now.

Speaker 4 (27:40):
Granted it's due to the injury that that Russell Wilson
was dealing with, but if you take a step back
and you look at what was going to play out,
it would have played out the exact opposite way, right,
like the same but opposite. It would have been Russell
Wilson starting. If Mike Tomlin says to the media it's
been good, not great, but it's been good, then there's

(28:03):
a chance that Justin Fields gets in there and he
gets an opportunity just like Russell Wilson has. And the
reason being is is that there's no financial connection, to
no financial commitment that would lend to them having to
make these hard decisions that is Stefanski or Dave Ball
or having to make in these scenarios. So when you're

(28:24):
in that when you're in that bed of a space
where you know, you've got like I got to fall
on the sword for this, Dave Ball has got to
fall on the sword for Daniel Jones, Stefanski has to
fall on the sword for Deshaun Watson. And what's crazy
about that is is it? I don't think it's over

(28:48):
unless unless some way, somehow, Deshaun Watson says, I don't
want to play anymore. I'm tired of getting injuries or
I'm tired of dealing with all it is. Whatever, it's
coming back, he's coming back. And if he's coming back,
what do you think happens next? Jameis Winston plays? Let's
think about this, all right? Your boy plays well? Last year,

(29:15):
plays super well. Flacco played his ass off, and what happened?
What was he rewarded with playing well for the Browns?
I never understood it.

Speaker 3 (29:26):
What happened gone gone? I never understood.

Speaker 4 (29:29):
So you know what's going to happen with Jameis Winston.
If Deshaun Watson decides to come back from this injury,
from from this this year, Jameis Winston most likely will
be gone. The track record of Deshaun Watson, if you
look at it, is if there is someone that's in
the locker room that could actually challenge his leadership. They're

(29:50):
going to be gone that had. I believe that was
the conversation that surrounded d hop leaving being sent away
from the Texans, is that it created a divide in
the locker room or something to that of that point,
or maybe it wasn't a divide, but Deshaun Watson wasn't
the clear undisputed leader in the locker room, and O'Brien

(30:14):
felt he needed to remove that element of what the uh,
you know, de hop presented.

Speaker 1 (30:20):
It does make sense now upon further review, because the
story back then was, well, you know, uh, Deshaun Watson
was upset that they got rid of DeAndre Hopkins. Okay,
why do you sign the contract afterwards? Like if he
was so upset and so angry with the organization, why
do you sign the contract extension with Houston after they

(30:41):
traded DeAndre Hopkins? So maybe there is something to that
to where if you're not on the same page, you're
out and there's a lot of a lot of casualties
left in his wake.

Speaker 3 (30:52):
There you go.

Speaker 4 (30:52):
Man, Joe Flacco was out of there because of what
he represented to that team and what he represented to
that community, and that's that is a challenge that you
have to get over and get through with a guy
who commands what he commands based off of what he's
being paid. It's dictating and that's going to be no

(31:14):
different for Jameis Winston. So the best thing that Jamis
Winston can do is go out there, play loose, play
his type of game, be who he's going to be,
and try to prove that he could go somewhere else
and play, because the chances are he's not going to
be a Cleveland Brown if he plays well this year,
regardless of the support he has for for Deshaun Watson,

(31:34):
regardless of the you know, making sure the fans understand
that you know that you support that man and he's
got to deal with whatever he's dealing with and he's
risking his life every day for everybody, Like, regardless of
all that, the expectation will be that Jameis Winston needs
to go just like Joe Flacco did. If Deshaun Watson

(31:55):
indeed comes back to play again.

Speaker 1 (31:57):
Yeah, it's two pros and a couple here on Fox

Speaker 2 (33:06):
These might smell a little fun cake. What that sounds incredible?
But they're still good. Time to find out what's lap?
It's Lee's lap?

Speaker 1 (33:16):
Jobs, all right to lap? What do we got?

Speaker 3 (33:18):
Oh boy?

Speaker 5 (33:19):
In just a few hours, the Dodgers will be starting
their parade and I am debating whether or not to go.

Speaker 3 (33:26):
What do you think? Yeah? I go? All right.

Speaker 1 (33:30):
So for our friends listening on the blowtorch AM five
to seventy LA sports, a lot of them are going
to be trying to attend the parade. I just want
to set the expectations pretty underwhelming, all right. I had
a chance to go to a parade after the Penguins,
obviously a Penguins fan, happen to be in Pittsburgh for

(33:52):
the US Open and Fox's coverage of the US Open,
and the Penguins were having their Stanley Cup parade back
in twenty sixteen, I believe. And it was just like
you see him pass by everybody celebrating.

Speaker 3 (34:05):
You're not from Pittsburgh. Okay.

Speaker 1 (34:07):
It was pretty underwhelming, dude, Like there's you're not You're
not from Pittsburgh. I'm just saying, man, you will understand it, Okay, Well,
I don't know who would have understood it. It was
all right. Well, even the players looked underwhelmed. So it's
cool to see, that's your opinion. It's cool to see.
But it's like you're watching other people celebrate and getting bombed.

(34:31):
And the other thing I noticed is that because there's
such close quarters and there's so many people where deodorant
because chances are the guy or girl next to who's
gonna smell. Right, So just trying to set the expectations there.
Have a good time, enjoy it, but don't expect anything
that's going to be life changing from here, like winning
the World Series.

Speaker 4 (34:51):
You're Doyers fan rocking my Mookie Bets jersey right.

Speaker 3 (34:56):
Now, exactly. Go have a good time, man, I go
grab a brown paper bag and head to the Metro.
Right there.

Speaker 4 (35:02):
Put your funky musky bio on somebody. Your your breath
stinking from old Mexican food from eating it door in
the show.

Speaker 3 (35:13):
Right started off, started it off right.

Speaker 4 (35:15):
Washing it down with some beer. It'll be stale beer
smelling from your mouth out of time you get there.

Speaker 3 (35:22):
Yeah, just enjoy it, sell it man, I'm going there.

Speaker 1 (35:25):
Let me tell you something. I guarantee leadersn't make the parade,
and here's how I know why.

Speaker 3 (35:29):
Oh no, he's already got a food come of going.

Speaker 1 (35:32):
His eyes have slowly started to shut as the show
goes on, because he ate those nachos.

Speaker 4 (35:37):
Of for him.

Speaker 3 (35:38):
But what time is the parade?

Speaker 5 (35:39):
Yeah, I'll take a nap on the Metro and then
I'll find a park bench. Oh wow, all right, he
surely won't miss. Now that'll work out.

Speaker 3 (35:47):
Well.

Speaker 4 (35:48):
You know the crazy thing about what you just said
is that you actually are going to do that.

Speaker 3 (35:52):
As he would. Yeah, yeah, I have no problem.

Speaker 4 (35:55):
And then go take like a bird back like one
of the local public like fountains that are out there
or something.

Speaker 1 (36:01):
Yeah, have you seen what the metro's like nowadays? Have
you seen that? That's where you want to take a nap?

Speaker 4 (36:08):
Like the skate rowest that's there, that's their transportation.

Speaker 1 (36:11):
It is, it's ski row on wheels.

Speaker 3 (36:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (36:15):
I scared the hell out of Iowa say on that.
We went downtown and then he ended up a back bar.
Now I think about it might be safe for them
where you normally sleep.

Speaker 3 (36:23):
No doubt. I've never taken the Metro because I'm great.
It's gonna smell bad.

Speaker 4 (36:30):
Just listened with what you just said. It's funny. It
was such a quick singer that Zinger was quick as
a head. Yeah, lives in the Metro Fellas. I'm safe here.

Speaker 1 (36:45):
Yeah, listen, good time, I have a good time. I'm
just telling you, it's hard to get a good seat,
and then when you do, they just passed by so
quickly that it's really hard to enjoy all of it.
Whatever you experienced at the parade is nothing like what
you experienced getting to see them clinch the World Series
the other night. So just proper expectations and hygiene would

(37:07):
help for everybody.

Speaker 5 (37:08):
By the way, did you notice that they arrived on
the Patriots jet or Patriots Oh that's right.

Speaker 3 (37:15):
Yeah, when they came back to La How petty is that? By?
Good move? Boston's kind of funny.

Speaker 1 (37:21):
Boston figuring out a way to actually get in the
World Series for a change.

Speaker 3 (37:25):
Good for them, that's really funny. What else we got, guys?

Speaker 5 (37:28):
It's daylight savings this week or I guess it's technically
the end of daylight savings, but fall back.

Speaker 3 (37:33):
I guess turn your clocks back so we gain an hour. Yeah,
like we got an hour extra sleep.

Speaker 1 (37:40):
By the way, do the bars like if it if
it's two, does it go back to one?

Speaker 6 (37:44):
Lee?

Speaker 3 (37:44):
Do they keep serving? Or what I mean? I'll keep drinking.
Good Luck to you, Lee, and good luck to y'all.
Penn State. We are baby, I'll be there tomorrow
