Speaker 2 (00:30):
Let's give this.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio Two Pros and a
Cup of Joe Fox Sports Radio. I'm not up topping that.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
I don't see why not?

Speaker 1 (00:47):
Damn. We're doing it all live from the ti rack
dot Com studios tyrac dot com. We'll help you get
there at unmatched selection, fast re shipping, free road hazard protection,
and over ten thousand recommended in stallers tire rack dot
com the way tire buying should be. So we opened
up the show talking about a couple of different stories.

(01:08):
One was Monday Night Football and it was the I
don't know if you want to call it the Can't
Get Right Bowl or the Dysfunction Bowl, but the Bengals
and Cowboys both with subpar seasons, both with mediocre performances
all year, both not going to the postseason, and both
put on a show last night in which Dallas locked
upunt late only to see the ball ricochet off somebody

(01:31):
on their own team. Cincinnati recovers, goes down the field,
scores and wins the game. So that is your Dallas
Cowboys season in a nutshell it is. I do wonder
if you're a season ticket holder for the Cowboys, are
you're not even going right? What's the point they either
get blown out or they have stuff like that happen.

(01:54):
Try and sell your tickets to somebody that doesn't know
any better.

Speaker 3 (01:58):
That's now to me again, when you have the conversation
about Dallas and what direction are.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
They planning on going in, that has.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
To be the conversation that takes place with Jerry Jones
in the front office, because if you're losing hope about
what your team is capable of doing. There's two There's
a couple different ways you keep fans interested, and one
doesn't have to be true in the other false you

(02:30):
either make a coaching change or it's a significant pick up,
maybe departure at key positions, you know, and that's generally quarterback,
the quarterbacks position. So if this team finds themselves, if

(02:52):
this franchise finds itself in a state where the fans
actually look at what they're doing thish year and say,
my gosh, this is the worst they've ever been.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
And I've lived through this. Okay, So for all you guys.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
Who you always make it about yourself, well, I was
hired to tell you guys about things that will apply
to us personally, because yes.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
I went through it and you didn't.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
People start giving up season tickets, You start seeing, you
start seeing things like a home crowd is not a
home crowd, it's an away crowd that is filling up
your home stadium.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
So could you imagine.

Speaker 3 (03:37):
If say Philadelphia is playing against Dallas and it's all
Philadelphia Eagles fans that are in, you know, in Dallas's stadium.
In Jerry's world, these are the things that you start
to see take place. And while it's still a win
for Jerry because he's still sells tickets and people are

(04:01):
still coming and participating, and you give Jerry the opportunity
to possibly convert you as a fan, even though you're
probably a die hard fan. And that's why you're there
for the other team that's playing I would I would say, ultimately,
you had better do something that continues to re engage

(04:21):
your clientele. Business is all about building your community, one
person at a time, and you've built up a super
tremendously valuable list of community members connected to the Dallas Cowboys.
If that community begins to look at one another and say,
why am I Why am I part of this community?

(04:44):
You got to start making some hard decisions that would
lead and lend to them having that one word that
always matters the most to a fanatic, hope.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
Well, I mean, listen, there is hope for the Dallas Cowboys.
You want to know what that hope is? What that
the season's almost over? So there is that. So if
you're Dallas and you're looking around, going, man, we just
can't seem to catch a break. You're one and six
at home. You got one more of these bad boys
to go, or two more of these bad boys to go,
I should say, and everything will be fine after that.

(05:16):
Then you can just focus on the off season and
know that at the very least you're gonna win every
off season storyline like you do every single year. So
there is that. Now at the other end of the
division are the Philadelphia Eagles, who you would think, well,
at least they don't have Dallas problems. And then Brandon
Graham shows up on his show on WIP in Philly

(05:39):
yesterday and starts talking about, you know, AJ Brown and
Jalen Hurt's relationship and they're not getting along anymore and
kind of pointed out that AJ Brown needs to do
a better job at that and and that kind of
shocked people that he would be speaking as openly as
he was about that situation, but it did stir up
another discussion to be one that's I don't know, two

(06:02):
decades old at this point. But Donovan McNabb also took
to w i P in Philly and had this to
say about the Jalen Hurts AJ Brown scenario.

Speaker 4 (06:12):
Look, man, it's too grown men. It's too grown men.
If you got an issue, you come to me. Let's
not go through the media.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
And so if you.

Speaker 4 (06:20):
Got to issue, this conversation needs to be had between
me and you. And then we had that conversation with
the play call, but let's not go to the media
because it now it blows up. And then now of
a sudden you put it in the microprobe beck in
his mouth and then it because well I didn't mean
it that way, and I didn't you know, I'm saying that,
you know because now what you said is out there in.

Speaker 3 (06:41):
Front of everybody, So it's microphone in the face. Like,
let's let's clear that clean that one up. Is not
put the mic in his mouth like that's he was
thinking about something else. You know, that was the wrong
that was the wrong context. Yeah, five, just making sure
I cleared that one up. His name ain't Mike.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
But here's the point, Terrell Owens, Yeah, this was an opportunity.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
Well and I mean, he ain't lying.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
So he took to social media in response to the
quote that went to X from Donovan McNabb that you
just heard on the AJ Brown Jalen Hirsch relationship, and
Terrell Owen said this quote, Now, this is interesting coming
from you, not how I interpreted it. But funny thing is,
I agree with you on the idea on if you

(07:32):
have issues with someone that you go to them and
not the media. But there's the thing. I quote never
had an issue with you, but it's known that you
had an issue with me, so maybe you should have
taken your advice here. Oh yeah, and we might have
won the super Bowl. But that's just another story for
another day. Hashtag just my two cents, hashtag three one seven.

(07:53):
You gave yours, I'm giving mine. Hey, Freddie Mitchell, thanks
for sharing. So dude, it's twenty years old. Why are
we still talking. Why is he taking an opportunity to
bring up Donovan McNabb's feud with him from twenty years ago.

Speaker 3 (08:11):
I mean, because sometimes you actually have to, I don't know,
get things off your chest. Maybe twenty years later. You know,
you get a lot of time to think about it.
You get a lot of time to think about it,
and then somebody will do something or say something that
triggers off what you are feeling. And apparently Donovan McNabb

(08:36):
giving advice based off of his experiences triggered too to
feel the way that he did. And I would go
as far as to say, it's interesting because if to
still feels that way and Donovan McNabb, because here's the thing,
Donovan McNabb could be saying it in the context of
saying To is exactly right, like, don't do it that way.

(09:00):
I know, I know because of what happened with me
and too when I was playing right. You know, Donovan
McNabb has also had that amount of time to think
about how things went and how he missed on on
winning a Super Bowl. Did t O ever win a
Super Bowl? I don't think he ever won a Super Bowl? Yeah.
I think that was the closest he got to win

(09:20):
in the Super Bowl. And look they could have won
the game, Bro, and he throwing the ball to t
O you know, returned from injury.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
He had that broken ankle, it was broken or whatever
the hell it was, and he had a good game.
I think he had. By the way, I'm such a
loser lead still ball, can you look at it? I
think trell Oones in that game had six catches for
ninety yards or seven catch nine Well, listen, maybe I'll
just talk about the first half. But the point is ball, Yeah,

(09:52):
on the on the bum ankle, which, by the way,
do you think the nectar gods came in?

Speaker 2 (09:56):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (09:57):
Yeah, what do you think that looked like one of
them burning guns.

Speaker 3 (10:02):
Nah, it's the same size needle. You know, you get
poked with that bad boy, you come out that man.
Come on, bro, it's the same size needle.

Speaker 2 (10:11):
Like an immortal.

Speaker 1 (10:13):
It's attached to a sparklet's jug.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
There you go.

Speaker 3 (10:16):
Nah, you don't don't take much, bro, you get one
of them dips you, you don't take much for you
to be on that next level of being able to
I just I look at like this, I feel like
that that that syringe opens up. Maybe they say what
you use about like less than ten percent of your brain?

(10:36):
You know what the capabilities are. I think it opens
you up to about like twenty twenty five, you know
what I mean. And for that that moment in time
where you opened up to that extra part of your brain,
you do some crazy things. Man, you do some unlike
just unbelievable things.

Speaker 1 (10:55):
By the way, I'm going back and looking at the
two thousand and five Washington commanders then call the rs.
But I'm not allowed to say that redskins. Yeah, that's
what they were called. Like, I don't see you bringing
up old beef like with people trying to talk about
how you bring up old stuff. I don't see you
bringing up your old beef with Ladell bats. You know
what I mean?

Speaker 2 (11:14):
I had no beef with Ladell Bats.

Speaker 1 (11:16):
Or James Thrash.

Speaker 2 (11:18):
No, no beef with Thrash Rock cart Right. No beef
with Rock.

Speaker 3 (11:22):
Even though he cheap shot at me in practice and
that was how it hurt my knee.

Speaker 1 (11:26):
But no beef, did he really?

Speaker 2 (11:28):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (11:30):
No beef though, I mean, I just I'm looking at
it going like, I don't see you bringing up Derek Dockery.

Speaker 2 (11:36):
No beef with with Big Doc. No beef. No, I
had no beef with any of my teammates man, just
the owner.

Speaker 1 (11:43):
But trell Owen's apparently used.

Speaker 2 (11:46):
They had beef, bro.

Speaker 1 (11:47):
And maybe it's a Philly thing.

Speaker 2 (11:50):
I mean, it's it's possible. It's possible.

Speaker 3 (11:54):
I don't I don't necessarily think it's it's a Philly thing.
I just think that maybe maybe Donovan McNabb needs to
reach out to too and squash it. You know, after
all these years, you know who did that? Isaiah Thomas
and Magic Johnson did that? You know, they had like
a little they were tight, they were close friends, and

(12:16):
they had a beef that took place, and all them
years later they came back and you know, they used
to kiss each other before the games and stuff, and
then they fell out and then they didn't kiss each
other anymore and weren't friends. And didn't talk to one another,
and then they came back together. Then they came back

(12:38):
together and they made up. And I feel like maybe
this is the perfect moment. Maybe the positive in all
of this that could surface and emerge from AJ Brown
having beef with Jalen Hurts is it's created the opportunity
for Donovan McNabb and Terrell Owens to address what plagued

(13:01):
them all them years ago and get over the beef
and do it in public so we can all see
it well.

Speaker 1 (13:06):
Or at least, you know, have Brandon Graham break it
all down so he.

Speaker 3 (13:09):
Can bruh, do we have the branding Graham sound? Because
for our new listeners now, to all the listeners that's
been listening to the show, we appreciate you being locked
in and loaded in with us and participating. But let
me tell you something. Hearing Brandon Graham try to explain
what was taking place with AJ Brown and Jalen Hurts

(13:34):
sounds as though he's the big brother in an argument.
They broke something or got in trouble. And this is
how I want y'all to listen to this. Right when
you were a kid, y'all did something. Y'all shouldn't have done,
and y'all got caught. Y'all got caught, and y'all about
to get that whooping. Whether it be a I saw
somebody else social media say to switch go on, to
switch off, go get that switch off the tree, or

(13:57):
it was a belt, or it could have been the board,
like my mom called it the border correction, but you
always got one that's gonna help negotiate trying to get
y'all out of how bad that punishment could be. And
here's branding Graham take it away.

Speaker 5 (14:14):
I don't know the whole story, but I know that
one is trying. And I mean, I Levin could be
a little better with how he respond to things.

Speaker 2 (14:23):
And they were friends before this.

Speaker 1 (14:25):
It's like, man, but things have changed.

Speaker 5 (14:27):
And I understand that because life happens. But we got
to it's the business side that we have to make
sure that we don't let the personal get in the
way of the business. And that's what we got to
do better as right now, because we know it's an issue.
Everybody's seeing some things, but we need to be able
to talk talk things out as men.

Speaker 2 (14:48):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 5 (14:49):
But we need to let personal stuff go and then
let's get right for this game, because man, it's like
a lot of stuff. Most of the time, it's just
a conversation that you just need to be had. But
the person with the problem gott to wane to talk
to the person other than others.

Speaker 2 (15:02):
Oh that's all I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (15:03):
If that was finished, if that was if that was finished. Yeah,
and my mom would say, I appreciate it. Now turn around.
Here comes a frying pan.

Speaker 2 (15:11):
Here we go, Here we go, there we go. I'm
gonna do it for you. Here you go, here we go.
You finish yet?

Speaker 3 (15:17):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (15:17):
Yeah, you finished? You finished? You finished? You ready? You're
ready for this? Huh, you're right, you want that? You ready?

Speaker 1 (15:29):
Don't move, You'll get two more.

Speaker 6 (15:33):
Get your hands out the way, move them hands down,
get them hands out of the way.

Speaker 1 (15:45):
Boy, don't you get smaller than me. I'll knock your
ass in the middle next week.

Speaker 3 (15:50):
I thought we were trying to handle this like grown man,
so that we could talk through it and not get spanked,
and so we could move on and and we could
be better for it. I mean, look, life happens. So
they used to be best friends, Like what happened to
the brothers? Manny they used to be best friends. But
life happens, and and this is what happened. And I
just would like to say that if you're going to spank,

(16:13):
if you're gonna do spanking, can you please just not
include me because I tried to help us come up
with a solution as to how we could go about
doing it and not listen. I'm not saying that, you know,
Jalen wasn't wrong, but I'm just saying he's trying, and
aj Aj is the one.

Speaker 2 (16:30):
That really should get the spanking.

Speaker 3 (16:32):
If anybody's going to get it, just spank, spank aj
and and and.

Speaker 2 (16:36):
Then we'll work the rest of it out later.

Speaker 1 (16:38):
You know, boy, you talk too much?

Speaker 2 (16:42):
Turn turned around? It turned around.

Speaker 1 (16:45):
The two pros and a couple of jeron Fox Sports Radio,
LeVar Arrington, Jonas Knox of the here coming off next.

Speaker 2 (16:54):
Get this belt, boy, get this belt.

Speaker 1 (16:58):
You know, my brother and would shop my brother in
wood shop, but he was in eighth grade. He designed
a paddle for my mom to use on me and
my other little brother, and he.

Speaker 2 (17:09):
Had he drilled in whole holes.

Speaker 1 (17:13):
Less as they were like twelve holes.

Speaker 3 (17:16):
And she's she would annihilate us with that thing.

Speaker 1 (17:20):
It was like a bowdoor with holes in it.

Speaker 2 (17:22):
Like bot butt pong, you know, how to what's it called?

Speaker 1 (17:27):
Now?

Speaker 3 (17:28):
The game may be playing with with you know pickleball?
Oh yeah, pickleball. It was butt ball.

Speaker 1 (17:35):
There you go, yeah, yeah, okay, well listen coming up
next year. But tennis, we're going into uh boody. Catch
up with our guy Pete Prisco. He's got a lot
of thoughts on what went down over the weekend, especially
with his alma mater. That'll be yours right here on FSR.

Speaker 7 (17:52):

a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington and

Jonas Knox with you here. Coming up in about twenty
minutes from now here from the tire Rack dot Com Studios,
we are going to have ourselves another edition of Lee's Leftovers,
and this one I can't even believe that Lee was
thinking about going in another direction when it came to
something involving a personal item of his, but we will

(18:29):
get into the conversation with Lee live on the air
here for you at about twenty minutes from now here
on FSR right now. Though we welcome in the smooth
operator himself. This is a Tuesday tradition unlike any other.
He is Pete Prisco, senior NFL columnist for CBS Sports
analysts for CBS Sports HQ. Get him on x at Prisco,
CBS and Pete forks up Baby, Arizona State Big Twelve champions.

(18:55):
How we feeling?

Speaker 8 (18:57):
Can you believe that? I mean, it really is, Jonas
and amazing story when.

Speaker 2 (19:01):
You look at it.

Speaker 8 (19:02):
They came from nothing to being picked to finish last
to being a team with a buye in the first round.
I mean, it doesn't it doesn't happen. And it reminds
me of ninety six and ninety six. They were a
nothing team going into the season, upset Nebraska early in
the season, they were the number one team in the country,
and they came within a whisker of winning it all

(19:24):
in the Rose Bowl. And so look, it's it's amazing
where they're at. Kenny Dillingham's done a great job and
I'm along for the ride. I'm loving every.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
Bit of this.

Speaker 1 (19:32):
I still remember that Jake Plumber Rose Bull performance. And
who did they play in the Rose Bowl was that
it was Ohio State.

Speaker 8 (19:41):
What happened was is back then they had they didn't have,
you know, the national playoffs. So Florida State and Florida
played in Ohio State and Arizona State played Arizona State wins.
They win the national title because Florida had beaten Florida
State or went on to beat Flarda Florida b Florida
State later that night. What happened is who takes a
lead with a minute to go in the game, and

(20:02):
they let Joe Jermaine hit David Boston with about fifteen
seconds left for a game when he touched down they
had no business getting because the coach at Arizona State,
of course, you know me, I'm going to find something
to pick him off. Pick on four, he called time
out on third down on the goal line when he
didn't need to, so he gave him too much time.

Speaker 1 (20:17):
But you know, it's interesting what happened. So I remember
hearing this discussion that we had. This was in the summertime,
and there was a ranking that came out and it
might have been Dennis Dodd at CBS. I forget who
it was that ranked the coaches in the Big Twelve,
and Dion Sanders had a gripe against I think it

(20:39):
was whoever was that wrote the article about from CBS,
because he was ranked second to last when it came
to coaches in the Big Twelve, and coming into the
season the guy who was ranked below him dead last
was Kenny Dillingham. And yet here they are Big Twelve champions.
To see the job that he's on there, it just

(21:01):
impressive as all hell. And man, Cam Skataboo is as
fun as anybody there is to watch in college.

Speaker 2 (21:07):
Football, he really is.

Speaker 8 (21:08):
And the quarter the quarterback's good too. I mean he's
a true he's a retro freshman and he gets better
and better. And there's a and somebody actually put it
on Twitter. I don't know who did it, but I
said it when it happened. His little run to get
a first to keep first down in that game reminded
me of Jake plumbers On in that in that Rose Bowl,
and it has the same kind of feel to it. So, look,
they're gonna play in Atlanta. Neither play Clemson or Texas.

(21:31):
I'd rather play Clemson, But the way quinn Ewers is playing,
I'm not worried about either one of those teams. They
could be neither one of them.

Speaker 1 (21:37):
Uh So he is Pete Prisco joining us here on
Fox Sports Radio, CBS, Sports h Q. You can get
him on ex at Prisco CBS. Was that not the
perfect way for the Dallas Cowboys to lose a game
at home last night?

Speaker 2 (21:48):
Or what that?

Speaker 8 (21:50):
So you always asked me, You always asked me a
game I picked that went rotten because it had no
business going rotten. Cowboys were my pick, by the way.
So I mean not only that, you're getting what was
it five and a half? I think we picked it
at So you get it five and a half, you
get that play to happen, but then you figure, okay,
they'll go get a field goal, but no, they go

(22:10):
get a touchdown and so they cover the number. So
my record is horrendous this year. I am so bad,
it's unbelievable. But maybe it's because Brady's not around to
do the picking with me, and Kyle Long who's picking
with me now? It's just absolutely destroying me. And so
that's the way the season's gone. But yeah, for the Cowboys.

(22:31):
I mean it was the old Leon left play. You know,
how do you not know that once the ball goes
over on the scrimmage you can't touch it. I mean
it's just ridiculous.

Speaker 1 (22:39):
Yeah, And just if you're a fan who has watched
that team at home this year, going back to the
playoff game from last year, I mean, if you got
season tickets, just sell them, like, you know, give them
to somebody, Like why even go be a part of it?
But another heartbreaker for Dallas. And I was saying, but
and Lebar and I were talking about this earlier. It
kind of feels like a wasted year for Joe Burrow
in the sense that he's been fantastic and they're going nowhere,

(23:02):
like they've been on the wrong end of so many
difficult losses. And then you come to have the conversation
about t Higgins after the season. Trey Hendrickson is leading
the league in sacks. They weren't able to get a
long term deal done. We don't know how the whole
Jamar chasing is going to shake out. Like it feels
like Joe Burrow is probably looking around going I think
he said as much best year of his career yet

(23:23):
it's going to be all or not because they came
up on the short end of so many close games.

Speaker 8 (23:27):
And the amazing thing about it is is the way
he has to navigate the pocket and still make plays
down the field. I mean, the guy's been fantastic this year,
really is. I mean when you look at him, it's amazing.
And on the flip side of that is, you know,
Jamar Chases got a chance to get the triple crown.
I mean, he legitimately has a chance to win. You know,
catches yards and touchdowns and I mean that's an amazing feat.

(23:51):
So yeah, it's tough because watching him is so fun.
But then I guess when you watch that defense, if
you're a Bengels fan, you get so frustrated because they've
been so bad, particularly in the second there this year.

Speaker 1 (24:01):
Do you buy the Bill Belichick North Carolina interest that's
out there, or do you think ultimately he makes a
return to the NFL.

Speaker 8 (24:11):
I think if it's up to him, he'd go to
the NFL. But I think he's trying to set his
kid up for at posts, you know, when he retires.
I think that's what it is. Yeah, the word is
is that he wants to make his son the coach
in waiting, and his son is the defensive coordinator at
Washington right now. And so I think that's some of
the things I play. And you know, he said. The
funny thing is he says he's set it up like

(24:32):
an NFL team and an NFL organization. You know where
I heard that before at Arizona State when Ray Anderson
and Herm Edwards took over it and it didn't work.
You know, they said it was going to be an
NFL organization. We're going to do things that way, and
it's going to look like that. We're going to have
the scouting department and this and this and this, and
it just didn't work. So if you don't, here's the

(24:53):
bottom line. As you right now, you know this is
an aberration season. How do you heat with Alabama Georgia,
Like if you're North Carolina Clemson, how do you compete
with those team when they're so far ahead of everybody else?
It's so hard to do. So what do I think
he's interested in being a guy who goes out and
recruits and gets in the transfer portal and do all that. No,

(25:13):
but I do think he might be trying to set
up a sun for the coaching waiting.

Speaker 1 (25:17):
I just think he looks at the opportunity to break
the all time wins record in the NFL, Don Chula's record,
and I think that's something that's that he would absolutely want,
Like that would be something he would pursue. Obviously, if
things work out and his son could be the coach
in waiting, that would you know, take precedent over that.
It would be my assumption. But I also wonder if

(25:40):
he's looking around at some of these gigs, like, look,
you're close with the Jaguars organization, you followed them for
a lot of years. Would that make sense for Belichick
to take over? Is that roster close to competing, as
Shad Cohn was saying, the best roster that they've had
in the history of the organization.

Speaker 8 (25:56):
It's a good job because Trevor Lawrence is there and
they do have some young talent, But how do you
hire him as the coach if you have don't give
him personnel power? And Bill Belichick with personnel power one
very good in New England and the last part of
his career, So that's going to be the rub for
any team that hires him. And I think that was

(26:18):
part of the problem in Atlanta last year. Bill Belichick,
if he just came in and was coaching and had
no say so on the personnel decisions or who's making
the personnel decisions, would be a fantastic hire. But Bill
Belichick as head coach and general manager is not. Bill
Belichick head coach got fired because Bill Belichick general manager
didn't do his job the last couple of years. So,

(26:39):
and you can look at New England's roster now and
see it doesn't have a lot of talent on it.
So I think if you hired him just to be
the coach, would he be okay? If he were the
guy getting told this is your players, this is your
players were picking this, and he doesn't have the input
on that and my input. He would have input, but
by not making the final decision, that would be something
to keep an eye on for any organization that would

(27:01):
hire him.

Speaker 1 (27:02):
So what do you think the future for Trent Balky
is there? If we all believe that Doug Peterson's going
to be out the door, is that mean Balky follows
with him or no?

Speaker 8 (27:10):
Should be? I mean he should have been gone a
couple of years ago. I mean, think about that at
one point, if they didn't win this past week, they
were on the pace to be the first team to
pick first in the draft three out of five years. Ever,
and usually when that happens, the team gets out from
underneath his own self, and he hasn't got him under there.
The problem is Shod con has been loyal to a fault,

(27:31):
and I think, you know, look look at Balky. He's
played the game over the years. He got Jim Harbaugh
fired in San Francisco. Jim Harbor one of the great
coaches in this college and NFL has ever seen. He
got him fired because he didn't want to work with
him anymore. So that tells you the kind of angle
player and the way he plays the game. He's good
at it. In fact, he's a pro at it. He's

(27:51):
got a lot of people fired. So I would be
shocked if he came back, But the way the way
Shod Cohn operates, it wouldn't surprise me.

Speaker 1 (28:00):
Prisco joining us here on Fox Sports Radio, Get him
on X at Prisco CBS. What do you make of
the Eagles' latest mess where you've got Aj Brown calling
out the passing game and then you've got Brandon Graham
going on his local show in Philly last night saying,
you know, there's their relationship has changed. They used to
be friends. Jalen Hurts is trying. AJ Brown's got to

(28:21):
do better than he backtracked when it came to that.
Then it stirred up Terrell Owens versus Donovan McNabb all
over again. What's the latest mess there in Philly.

Speaker 8 (28:31):
Yeah, Look, anytime a wide receiver starts complaining about the
passing game, A, it's expected, and B it's never a
good thing to do it in public like that and
call out your quarterback. So look, remember it was the
old Terrell Owens and Donovan mcnapp. We we've seen this
play out before, and I do think that they need
to sit down and fix it. They're one of the

(28:53):
better teams in the league. Is he wrong? Is the
passing game is as good as it should be? Probably not,
But when they run the ball the way they do,
it doesn't need to be right now. At some point
it will be, so sit down, go iron it out.
But never a good look when a winning team has
wide receivers complaining about the court, so they need to
fix that. It's not a good look.

Speaker 1 (29:12):
I've never seen an organization that wins and is still
miserable half the time. It's odd, like the fact that
Nick Sirianni's even on the hot seat going into the
season never made any sense to me, Like all he
does is win. He's like twenty six games over five
hundred or whatever it is at this point. And I
know that last Sunday against Carolina was a little bit

(29:34):
tricky and it didn't go the way that a lot
of people thought it was going to go, but they
still won the game. And for some reason that's not
enough in Philly. I don't get it. It's odd.

Speaker 8 (29:45):
It's always that. And look Sirianni, you know, kind of
you look at him, he never looks like he's happy,
even when they're winning by twenty and maybe that just
kind of bleeds on down. But you're right, the fans, Look,
the fans are the most as passionate as anybody in
the league, and anybody wh's ever been to an Eagles
game knows that. But they're also turned quickly and they
get angry, and I think that kind of bleeds over

(30:07):
under the team. And they play. They play with an attitude,
they play with the swagger, and they play with the nastiness,
but they also tend to have the problems, and at
some point, you know, that's on Sirianni to fix it.
It'll be interesting to see how he does, but it's
on Sirianna to fix it. He is.

Speaker 1 (30:23):
Pete Prisco joining us here. Last one for you, Pete.
I did see on social media that, you know, some
people were giving you a hard time about the Steelers
your Steelers picked before the listen. I just want you
to know, I think a lot of people were down
on the Steelers going into the postseason because they were
paying like twelve bucks and a bag of rolled goals
to two quarterbacks that nobody thought were actually going to

(30:45):
be factors this year. One of them was injured in
training camp that everybody thought it was going to be
a down year. I was with you. I thought they'd
finish last. The idea that you're getting blowback for it,
I just want you to know you got a friend
in me pretty ridiculous.

Speaker 8 (30:58):
It's amazing. And look, Okay, did I say that Russell
Wilson probably wouldn't be that much of an upgrade? Yes?
Is even an upgrade? Yeah, the Russell Wilson we saw
in Denver the last couple of years wouldn't have been
an upgrade. So but again, they play Pittsburgh. I mean,
they played the Eagles this week, they played the Chiefs
coming up. We'll know more about that team coming up.
If they win those games, I'm gonna sit here and

(31:18):
say I was wrong. They were right. The Steelers are
legitimate and and the true contender. If they don't, then
you're gonna go into this into the playoffs and they're saying, well,
maybe they weren't as good as we thought they were.
And and again they're they're good. I don't think they're great.
Do I think they're a true contender in the AFC
right now? Maybe if Russell Wilson can play that way

(31:39):
when he if he plays the way it has been
playing against the Eagles, then I'll sit here and say
I was wrong. But you're right. The Steeler fans they
cut boy, They get after you.

Speaker 1 (31:47):
Don't They like, who's who's optimistic on Pittsburgh this year?
Like no, but like everyone looked at it is like, oh,
this is gonna be the year Tomlin finishes below five hundred.
So it's not like this is you are the one
person in no, like there were a lot of people
that looked at their situation and said, in comparison to
Cincinnati Cleveland, who's got a great roster but has been

(32:08):
riddled with injuries and bad quarterback play, and Baltimore, who
was a game away from the super Bowl last year,
that would be the go to pick. The Pittsford who
finished last. It's not that foreign to anybody who was
going back to August talking about the season projections.

Speaker 8 (32:23):
Of course, and then you know, because you thought Deshaun
Watson would come back and be better than he was
a year ago, and that roster was loaded, so I
picked him to finish last. I'm wrong, okay, but they
never let you forget it. Every single week it said something,
and they have people that clip and save the clips
from HQ and send them out. And it doesn't help
that former Steeler player Brian McFadden is on waving his

(32:45):
pomp poms with me every week and he kind of
throws fuel on the fire and doesn't help me out much.

Speaker 1 (32:51):
Yeah, everybody needs a gas man. He is Pete Prisco.
Get him on ax at Prisco that I mean, listen
playing golf. Brady's He's got some other arrangement going on
and then LeVar had to go catch a flight. He's
got an early flight, so we had to bail. So
we're going, yeah, just going sol. Yeah, going solo tomorrow too.

Speaker 8 (33:10):
And I did solo radio for seven years in Jacksonville
in the drive time. And it's hard to do it
by yourself.

Speaker 1 (33:17):
Yeah, it really is. But it makes you better. It
does make you better.

Speaker 2 (33:21):
You know what. It makes you good at.

Speaker 8 (33:22):
It makes you good at sound bites.

Speaker 1 (33:24):
Yes, and preparation because if you go in with no prep,
you are screwed after about seven minutes.

Speaker 8 (33:30):
So listen to those two all day. So that's a
good thing.

Speaker 1 (33:33):
And that's always a plus. And you know that from
working with Brady for all those years. Absolutely, Pete, we
appreciate it. We'll do it again next Tuesday.

Speaker 8 (33:41):
You got it. Take care there.

Speaker 1 (33:42):
He is the great Pete Prisco at Prisco CBS is

Speaker 7 (34:48):
These might smell a little fun case how does that
sounds incredible? But they're still good.

Speaker 1 (34:52):
Time to find out what's left?

Speaker 7 (34:56):
It's Lee's left Jovers all.

Speaker 1 (34:58):
Right to laugh? What do we got?

Speaker 9 (34:59):
Will's going to be big day for me? But I
might be in it might end up changing my mind.
I set up a donation of my of my car,
the one that.

Speaker 10 (35:07):
Got busted into by a bunch of homeless fellows.

Speaker 1 (35:11):
Bombs.

Speaker 10 (35:12):
Bombs, Yes, hobos had a soup kitchen in the back.

Speaker 2 (35:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (35:15):
They anyway, cars dead, and I've decided to well, I
had decided to donate it. I was gonna donate it
to Habitat for Humanity. They won't take it because it's
a non operational vehicle. So I went with cars for kids.
But now you guys are kind of trying to convince
me that I could just kind of sell it to
a junk a place that takes junk cars for like
three hundred bucks cash in hand, like three.

Speaker 1 (35:38):
Hundred bucks in your hand for the holidays. Why wouldn't
you do that?

Speaker 9 (35:40):
I should do that. I probably I'm looking at it
right now. I might cancel this totaling to.

Speaker 1 (35:46):
Like, especially if they're gonna come pick it, pick it
up and take it off your hands. Yeah, and they'll
give you money for it. But what about the children
they can't drive yet?

Speaker 9 (35:56):
Anyway, kid, it would be a tax deduction, but you're
gonna get three hundred dollars cash.

Speaker 2 (36:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (36:05):
It would be good timing too, because I kind of
screwed up my paycheck. I only got half my paycheck
last paycheck, which.

Speaker 10 (36:10):
Kind of hurts during the holiday season.

Speaker 1 (36:13):
Yeah, I listen, man, Like I know, it's all for
a good cause. There's other opportunities for you to do
things for a good cause. I think the good cause
would be for that Junkyard to donate three hundred dollars
to you for you giving away the Malibu that the
bums you know, played pocket pool in.

Speaker 10 (36:29):
Yeah, it still has busted glass all in the back seat.
I would have to go clean that up today.

Speaker 1 (36:33):
Plus I look at it just the fact that they
will come get it out of your mess and out
of your hair. You don't have to pay a tow
truck to come do that. You don't have to, you know,
get it taken anywhere. I would just do that, man,
and you're gonna get cash, easy peasy, and then you
move on with your life. Plus you get Carol Mom,
your Grandma's car.

Speaker 4 (36:52):
Now.

Speaker 10 (36:52):
Yeah, that thing's sweet. It is pretty sweet.

Speaker 1 (36:55):
Yeah, take the three hundred dollars man.

Speaker 2 (36:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (36:57):
Plus, I mean, I don't know if you've gotten a
tree yet. They're about three hundred dollars this year.

Speaker 9 (37:01):
That's why you gotta go with the uh with the
fake tree man beauty fake tree.

Speaker 1 (37:05):
I can't go fake tree. It's got to be a
real tree.

Speaker 9 (37:08):
Last year, I was at the at the lot just
looking at him because I had the fake tree at home,
and I was just hanging around and somebody gave me
a tree for free. Apparently the missus didn't like the
tree they had at home, so she brought the husband
around to get a different tree, and they just ended
up giving me a tree.

Speaker 10 (37:27):
So last year I had two trees. I had a
fake tree and a real tree.

Speaker 1 (37:30):
Dude, they're like ninety to one hundred dollars after tim
Like if you if you're throwing a few bucks down
to buy a tree, Yeah, so that's insane. That guy
had to spend two hundred dollars because his wife didn't
like the first tree. Yeah, because there was one.

Speaker 9 (37:43):
There was one side that was a little crumpled, which
is what you always you just put it in the corner, right, that's.

Speaker 1 (37:48):
I swear to got it my wife. If I brought
a tree home, my wife said take it back. I
don't I don't like this one, get another one. I'd
make her sit outside.

Speaker 10 (37:54):
Have you ever actually gone hunting in the woods for
a tree?

Speaker 1 (37:58):
Yeah, it's great.

Speaker 10 (37:59):
Yeah, we bought the per for like what seven bucks.
And you go out in the woods and you find
something that you like and you take the raccoon home
with you too.

Speaker 1 (38:06):
And well, I worked at a tree lot and it
was one of those cut down the tree so you
you had to like, yeah, like a real tree farm,
and so you had to actually cut down the tree
and lug it up to the like you actually did
work for it. And I got I got so screwed
over on tips one year that the owner of the
tree lot came to me at the end of the

(38:26):
season and said and gave me money because she felt
so bad. I was dragging trees two blocks away and
some lady gave me like a dollar fifty. What do
we do it. It's like an eight foot like grand
fur or noble fur that I'm dragging on the street
to try and get over there. I wasn't even strong enough.
I was a teenager trying to lift this thing, and
I got screwed over. But yeah, tip your tree lot workers. Please, people,

(38:51):
if you go to a tree lot, don't assume that
they're making money by the hour. They deserve a little
bit of tip and a little throw down.

Speaker 10 (38:57):
If you could Now, if you're cutting down the tree,
do you bring back home a bunch of bugs into
your spot?

Speaker 1 (39:02):
No, they're usually pretty clean.

Speaker 10 (39:04):
I mean it was always spiders on my ceiling.

Speaker 1 (39:06):
You gotta shake it out. You take the butt of
the tree, the bottom of it, and you pound it
on the ground and then all the bugs will come out.

Speaker 10 (39:12):
Afterwards, and you just drive real fast home.

Speaker 1 (39:14):
Yeah there's that top. Yeah, drive fast, and then you know,
if anybody's got an issue with it, just throw all
the bugs in the neighbor's yard. That's what I do. Yeah,
but again, some people are classier than others. So yeah,
lista give that thing away for three hundred bucks and
take the cash and then just go splurge it at
the good Night that's a good idea. Yeah, I'm rocking
my good Night shirt.

Speaker 4 (39:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (39:34):
You know how much you could get at the liquor
store for three hundred dollars.

Speaker 2 (39:36):
