Speaker 2 (00:32):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
So they're gonna pop it Jelklahoma City later on tonight. Yeah,
it is Game one of the NI Finals, the Pacers
and the Thunder. As mentioned earlier, the Thunder are currently
a nine and a half point favorite courtesy of our
friends at DraftKings for this Game one, and overwhelm you

(00:57):
feel about it?

Speaker 3 (00:59):
Uh?

Speaker 4 (01:01):
I don't.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
I just I think it's a six or seven game series.
I just don't see it as this overwhelming advantage for
OKAC And maybe I'm wrong, but Indiana's proven a bunch
of people wrong up to this point, and I'm a
little surprised that it's as heavily favored in the way
of Oklahoma City. But they have been the best team

(01:23):
wired to wire all year, So ultimately I think they win.
I just don't think it's going to be as non
competitive as maybe some people do. I think I think
they're gonna be in for a fight.

Speaker 4 (01:32):
You know what makes me really curious about the whole
matchup is what they were able to do against Boston.
That's what makes me take the look and be like, look, man,
or excuse me, not Boston Milwaukee. Why am I thinking
that that was the nixt I did it to Boston.

(01:54):
But I mean the fact that they handled the Cavaliers
is what I really wanted to say, because the Cavaliers
was the hottest team in the league. So everybody, excuse me, like,
strike that from the record. It won't be in the podcast,
I promise you will edit it out. But the fact
that they were able to handle I believe that was
the number one the number one seed coming into the playoffs, yep.

(02:20):
And I would say when you look at that Cleveland
Cavaliers team and what they brought to the table, I
know they had injuries. I know this was not the
same team, and I know that'll be the argument and
the discussion point. You didn't see the same team in
the playoffs that you saw climb to the top of.

Speaker 5 (02:43):
The Eastern Conference. But I still think there's something.

Speaker 4 (02:46):
Be said that Donovan Mitchell was available, they had enough
good players available to them in order to be a
threat as a top seed in the play I just
I don't believe. I don't believe that this is a
team that is luckily there. Like there are some teams

(03:10):
that you could consider a Cinderella type team. You know,
they made it through. How did they make it through?
I don't know how they made it through, but they did.
I just don't feel that way about this Pacers team.
I feel as yeah, I feel like there's something about them,
and I would not be surprised if they stand up,
not only stand up to OKC, but actually are good enough,

(03:35):
good enough to win. I mean, we're talking about Halliburton
as the best player in the playoffs so far this year.
He doesn't even get MVP of the Eastern Eastern Finals,
you know. So and and again, like we mentioned before,
who has the most who has the most NBA finals
you know experience in this in this series. It's Indiana. Yeah,

(04:00):
it's Indiana. Name me one guy that's played in a
in a final series and has won from OKC.

Speaker 5 (04:08):
I don't think there is one.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
I mean, you tell me Sga didn't go there with
the Clippers. He didn't make a finals, not the finals.
Did he make it with the Clippers, of course not
because the Clippers ain't made no finals. Damn have they
made that? Have they haven't made the NBA final finals? Finals?
We're talking about final finals. So I mean Pascal Siakam

(04:33):
has and and clearly he is undercurrent of of what
the success is for the Indianapolis Pacers.

Speaker 4 (04:42):
So to me, Peter Roll was what keep saying the
Annapolis Papers Pacers. I don't know the Indie Pacers, the
Indiana Pacers. Uh So, anyways, I'm.

Speaker 5 (04:54):
Hoping for a good series.

Speaker 4 (04:56):
I feel like it's a great matchup Jonas and if
it turns out to be a dud of a series,
if OKC comes out and runs these boys, I will
have been I'll be surprised if that's that's what the
case is.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
Yeah, it's I think it'll be a lot better than
what a lot of people may assume. What we are
hoping is going to be a lot better as well, too,
is whatever the NBA decides to do when it comes
to the All Star Game format. Adam Silber he spoke
about the matchup in the finals on breakfast Ball on
FS one yesterday. He also spoke about some potential changes

(05:31):
to the All Star format, which was a complete clown
show this past year.

Speaker 6 (05:36):
Next year, as part of our new media deals, the
All Star Game returns to NBC, where.

Speaker 5 (05:39):
It was when we were younger.

Speaker 6 (05:41):
And it so happens that next season will be smack
in the middle of the Winter Olympics. Some fact that
the game will be on NBC and the very day
we're on, they'll be the lead in will be Winter
Olympic events. And then coming out of the All Star Game,
which is not going to be in the afternoons stad
of the evening, there'll be more Olympic events. So what
better time to feature some format USA against the World.

(06:01):
I'm not exactly sure what the format.

Speaker 5 (06:03):
Will be yet.

Speaker 6 (06:04):
I mean, obviously paid a lot of attention to what
the NHL did, but also you know, going back, you know,
last summer, our Olympic competition was a huge success.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
So I would like to say, because this is a
much easier solution than some people are making it out
to be as far as the NBA fixing what last
year was in the All Star Game, It's real easy
would ask the question, hey, so what should we do different.

Speaker 5 (06:27):
Than a year ago? Anything?

Speaker 1 (06:31):
Literally, anything, whatever you could possibly come up with. If
you want to do pop a shot speaking of poppet,
if you want to play ski ball as opposed to that,
whatever you want to come up with, anything will be
better than what you had a year ago.

Speaker 7 (06:46):
So this shouldn't be that hard of a fix.

Speaker 1 (06:48):
If you want to do USA versus the World and
try and capitalize on that because of success you had
last summer and because of what you saw the NHL do,
that's fine. Whatever you can possibly do, because there's one
thing that had everybody in agreement. It's a very divisive world.
It's a very divisive world politically, it's a very divisive world.
When it comes to sports. People just can't get along nowadays.

(07:10):
The one thing everybody saw ide eye on the NBA
All Star Game format this past year was a bucket
of puke.

Speaker 7 (07:17):
It was terrible. So this shouldn't be that hard of
a fix.

Speaker 1 (07:21):
You just look at last year and go, we'll do
completely the opposite of that. That's the solution for the
NBA so it shouldn't be the had Harvard job for
Adam Silver here, how about that?

Speaker 4 (07:32):
How about that? Well I just fixing and all that stuff.
I don't know, Bro, I don't know.

Speaker 5 (07:40):
Do you care? I feel like I should care more
than what I do. I do.

Speaker 4 (07:48):
I really feel as though this is something that you
should really care about more. I mean, I will say
I do sit around when I look at our topics.
I do sit around when it's NBA related, and I
try to think of things that could be done to
make NBA more interesting. And if I could find what

(08:12):
that that represents to me, then that might be an
interesting pathway forward for me to these conversations. I mean,
but otherwise I just kind of keep it pretty pretty,
like right down in the.

Speaker 5 (08:25):
Box, like.

Speaker 4 (08:27):
Until it has a feel, which I don't think at
this point where I'm at my age, that they will
actually come up with a way to make the value
of basketball go up unless they're able to unless they're
able to take the brands of some of these young
talents and convince this new viewing audience that has just

(08:49):
way way more options, Like you ever stop to think
that maybe some of these players do have the ability
to be a Michael Jordan presence and draw. You know,
a Scottie Pippen, Isaiah Thomas, A Joe dumar Is, a
Larry Bird, a Magic Johnson, a Kareem abdul Jabbar, a

(09:11):
Shaquille O'Neill with Kobe Bryant and Vince Carter.

Speaker 5 (09:13):
You know, these guys could possibly have the ability to
be those people. Is there the possibility that when.

Speaker 4 (09:21):
Looking at where we currently are in our culture and
in our society, things like this just aren't as important.
Like technology has changed things, exposure has changed things, gambling
has changed things. There's so many things in the world
that have changed from when we watched the people, like,

(09:45):
for instance, the things that you did when you were
watching Michael Jordan. It was almost like a part of
your family institution right watching the Celtics the Lakers. It
was a part of your family institutional tractions, less.

Speaker 1 (10:01):
Distractions, bro, you didn't have devices Like imagine somebody I
saw a commercial the other day and they said, imagine,
we're living.

Speaker 4 (10:11):
In the day and age of this new generation. But
could this new generation live in the day and age
that we grew up in?

Speaker 5 (10:18):
Now?

Speaker 4 (10:19):
If you're a if you're an early eighties baby, you know,
if you're if you're a seventies seventies baby, could could
the people could the kids growing up in this day
and age? Could they have grown up in our era
of time? Like you did not have cell phones, You
did not have streaming, like there are so many things

(10:41):
that you did not have readily available access to right
at your fingertips to be able to do I mean,
what these video games look like anymore. It is just
ridiculously crazy. The amount of contact you're able to have
with other people around your city, your state, your country abroad.

(11:03):
It's so crazy. And I just wonder the fact that
a lot of these athletes have to compete against those elements,
and that's every sport you have to compete against those
elements in today's culture. Versus you were a more captive
you were able to have a more captive audience to
sit down and have a family, you know, time watching

(11:26):
basketball or you know, being excited about the playoffs and
being excited about a player. I just think that things
have changed and made it very difficult for it to
be a focus on being able to actually care.

Speaker 1 (11:40):
Enough about the players and about the league for it
to take on a different meaning. You mentioned could they
survive in yesteryear? And it got me to thinking. So
last weekend I took the family went up. There's a
place called Carpenteria. It's here in the eight oh five.
You go all the way up the coast. It's before

(12:02):
you get to Santa Barbara. It's past Cowboys training camp
in ox Star and all that stuff. But it's a cool,
little like Beachy town. You go there for the day,
hangout whatever. I saw a payphone at a gas station.

Speaker 5 (12:13):
And it was operational.

Speaker 1 (12:15):
Yeah, And I took my son over to show him,
and it may as well have been a t rex.
He couldn't even comprehend what it was like, literally couldn't
even put it wrap his mind around the idea that, like, hey,
you know those things that mom and dad have in
their pocket right now that we can watch a monster
truck race on Like I could literally show you monster
truck highlights. So this isn't that, but it kind of

(12:37):
does the same thing. Couldn't even comprehend.

Speaker 4 (12:41):
That because if that is the comp and that is
is what it really is, you know what's crazy.

Speaker 5 (12:47):
Imagine imagine.

Speaker 4 (12:52):
How many people are grossed out by a payphone and
versus when we need it to use the phone.

Speaker 5 (12:59):
It was like, can I get can I get a quarter?

Speaker 1 (13:01):
You know, I know somebody that got herpes on their
ear payphone.

Speaker 7 (13:06):
Swear to God because.

Speaker 1 (13:08):
They had they got an ear ring, a cartilage piercing
and it was infected and so they had taken the
ear ring out and they were trying to wait for
it to heal. They got on a pay phone to
make a call and next thing you know, they got herpes.

Speaker 5 (13:21):
That is horrible.

Speaker 2 (13:23):
How about that?

Speaker 5 (13:25):
How about that?

Speaker 4 (13:26):
Every everything I say this, then good, good for good
for our our current generation not having to share a payphone.

Speaker 7 (13:36):
Hey, I went for it.

Speaker 2 (13:38):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (13:39):
Look at the toilet lid on my face and let
me know when it flares up again.

Speaker 5 (13:47):
What did you do to put that on a phone?

Speaker 1 (13:51):
And by and by the way, what if the person
you called didn't even answer, so like you literally went
to you wasted the phone and you got hope you
brought on a dantry machine.

Speaker 5 (14:04):
You wont the wrong lottery on that.

Speaker 1 (14:06):
One, or you're you're one number off, you call the
wrong member, You're you're getting infested with herpes on your
ear and the person on the other end goes.

Speaker 5 (14:14):
Holah or you hit that.

Speaker 7 (14:20):
And it's a fax machine.

Speaker 1 (14:22):
To people that that don't know that noise, that's a
busy signal. They were on the other line and didn't
have the two way feature.

Speaker 5 (14:28):
You had call waiting.

Speaker 1 (14:29):
They used to go like this, if you'd like to
make a call, please hang up and dial again. Oh
it's supposed demoralizing feeling of the world. So yeah, maybe
there is something to the fact that, you know, players
today they got a lot more to compete with a
lot more entertainment out there. So hopefully people are are

(14:50):
enjoying the NBA Finals later on tonight. And I do
know this. If you want to enjoy a better ride,
like you're driving around right now, you know I need
something different. Don't worry. Go to O'Reilly. Save money on

Speaker 2 (15:29):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Arrington and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 5 (15:53):
Ouh know to words? What cards for drife?

Speaker 1 (16:00):
Yeah? It's a bad song. U. By the way, this
band's called The Darkness I think and Lee to lab
and Iowa. Sam actually went and saw them in concert.
Fun fact, they were the only two at the concert,

(16:20):
so that's not true.

Speaker 7 (16:23):
That's how great this band is.

Speaker 5 (16:25):
Thank Newsy.

Speaker 1 (16:26):
It is Two Pros and a Cup of Joe here
on Fox Sports Radio, LaVar Arrington, Jonas Knox with you
coming up in about twenty minutes from now. Speaking of Lee,
we do have another edition of Lee's Leftovers, and it
looks like artificial intelligence is at it again. We'll explain
why again about twenty minutes from now. Right now, though,
we just welcome in intelligence A right A. Nothing artificial

(16:47):
about this. He's the great. Albert Breer, Senior NFL reporter,
Lead content Strategist, at the MMQB, Amazon, NFL on Prime Insider,
and you can get him on x at Albert Breer
AB Good morning, Happy Thursday to you.

Speaker 3 (17:00):
Well, let's just clarify there that there are different types
of intelligence. So I'm not I'm not claiming to be
intelligent in all field. Maybe a couple that could help
you guys.

Speaker 1 (17:09):
I mean, come on now, listen so hard on yourself.
So we were kind of kicking this around. Uh, you know,
a lot of there's a lot of talk about you know,
the Mannings being you know, the first family of football.
You've got the Kelsey's. I would argue the digs are
the digs is are right there. I mean, whether it's
Trayvon or stuff on, they're really trying to take over

(17:29):
this offseason. What's the idea behind Trayvon Diggs not showing
up and potentially not getting as half a million dollar
bonus from the Cowboys.

Speaker 3 (17:41):
I mean, I think like there's always a reason, right like,
and there's always and these things are never these things
are never for no reason. Like you know, if you
if if a guy's choosing not to show up, generally
it means something, especially there's more money on the line.
So you know, I would say, like there's probably some
feeling of wanting a contract adjustment, and if we follow,

(18:04):
you know, like the the trajectory of his brother's career
and kind of what his brother has done over the years.
You know, you see, he went to he got got
a new contract in Minnesota, was traded a couple of
years later, played I think a year or two on
that contract in Buffalo. I think it was just a
year maybe on that contract in Buffalo, got another adjustment.

(18:25):
Then when he got traded again to the Texans, he
got basically his contract cut down to a single year
so he'd be able to be a free agent and
capitalized again as a free agent and going to the
highest bidder. So you know, I think, you know, if
you want to follow the bouncing ball, Stefan Diggs was
never willing to like just be content on the contract

(18:48):
he was playing on, you know, which is to his credit,
like he's trying to maximize his value as a football player.
So it wouldn't surprise you if his brother was doing it.

Speaker 7 (18:58):
That's a okay, Well, I mean.

Speaker 3 (19:00):
I just think I just think that they it's hard
to just a divorce one from the.

Speaker 5 (19:04):
Other, right, I mean, it certainly is.

Speaker 4 (19:08):
I want I want to ask you about what's going
on in Cleveland. I heard Colin cow Herd kind of
ring the bell that this is a foregone conclusion that
outside of Joe Flacco, Shador Sanders should be starting. And
I hate to have to ask you every single week,
but I guess I'm going to have to until we
see how it all plays out. Abe, What is the

(19:31):
latest in Cleveland? And how feasible is it to think
that a fifth round draft pick could actually jump past
the third round draft pick, the backup and whoever the
eventual projected starter was supposed to be in this scenario.

Speaker 3 (19:51):
Well, you know, LeVar, I think it's you know, I
like I I think like a lot of times, and
I understand this. I used to look at things this
way too, But I think a lot of times you
go look at these situations and say, well, why are
you wasting your time?

Speaker 5 (20:03):
Right?

Speaker 3 (20:03):
Like, why would you go as a forty year old when, like,
you know, you need answers to the position and Joe
Flacco may never bring you to a super Bowl and
you've got two rookies on your roster who you want
to gather information on. I think The flip side of
that is, you do have a bunch of veterans on
that team that we're in the playoffs two years ago,

(20:26):
that are that are proud players, Malinald Scarrett and the
Award Joe Tonio, guys who've been around for a long time.
And I think you got the core of a pretty
good team in a very competitive division. So if Joe
Flacco is the best answer, and it's clear, right, like,
then how do you go and LeVar, you are a player,

(20:48):
how do you face those guys on September fifteenth or
October first when they know you're not giving them the
best chance to win? Now? I mean when we get
to like the middle of November, the beginning December, if
they're out of it, We're talking about a totally different question,
you know what I mean? Like, and I don't think
it's the same then, but like I think just as
far as like where we are now, I look, I

(21:11):
think everybody would understand if it's close, If you do
or or Dylan Gabriel are breathing down the back of
Joe Flacco and it is cool and it is razor thin,
and Joe Blaco's got a slight edge. I think everyone
would understand going with the young guy. But like if
Joe Flacco or Kenny Pickett clearly win the job, you know,

(21:31):
I think Kevin Stefanski and his staff owe it to
the guys that have been there, that are trying to
win right now, that aren't going to be too keen
on the idea throng a season overboard in the name
of quarterback development. He owes to those guys to start
the best player. So that's the way I would look
at it.

Speaker 4 (21:49):
I got to follow up with just the idea of
understanding how in fact is a fifth round draft pick
able to get enough red to get a fear look
and opportunity on what's going on. I think that that's probably,
honestly the biggest the biggest question mark if you ask me,

(22:10):
is like, that sounds good what you're saying in theory,
but you're talking about four quarterbacks. There's not going to
be enough reps for somebody to impact their ability and
opportunity to start without that person understanding it. You know,
Joe Flacka will understand that I don't have enough reps,
or Shador Sanders will understand somebody. It might be multiple

(22:33):
guys that will be in the know, like, look, I'm
not getting enough reps to be able to impact what
my job situation can be.

Speaker 3 (22:41):
Sure, so here here, here's here's the way I would
look at that. And I think that, like you can
look at some historical examples of this, like when lower
round draft picks wind up making runs at starting jobs.
I think one good one is Russell Wilson, right, like
when he was in Seattle in twenty twelve, Well, he
made an impression right from the start. And if you

(23:03):
remember that offseason, they invested in Matt Flynn and that
was a relatively big signing for them. You know, John Schneider,
who've been with the Packers, was part of drafting him
in Green Bay. But like you know, over the course
of the spring, Russell Wilson made it pretty clear in
practice like I am the best option for this team.

(23:24):
And so you know, I think once you get into
training camp, you're sort of locked in, especially with the
way the reps are now, with the limits on how
much he can do, Like, you really have to have
a picture of what your competition is going to look like.
And so if you're Dylan Gabriel Shad or Standards, you
essentially have to make your impression now, because I think, like,

(23:46):
what sort of impression you leave the coaches with in
May and June is certainly going to color like the
sort of opportunity you're going to get in July and
August when you're actually competing for the job, And I
know the coaches are probably going to say, well, it's
still wide open, and they could still intend that at
the end of July, like, hey, you know this is
still a four man race by then, I have to

(24:08):
think that they've have some idea in their head of
how this is going to work out because there just
aren't enough ups to go around. So I think that's
really kind of the antel of bars, like you look
at it and say, okay, over the first, over the
over the over the course of the spring, you have
to make a big enough impression to say we can't
keep this guy out of a full on chance to

(24:29):
winning the starting job in the summer.

Speaker 1 (24:31):
Albert Brier joining us here on Fox Sports Radio, and
just in breaking all this down, the only thing I
keep thinking is Kevin Stefanski, once again is put in
a difficult spot by ownership or whoever made the call
to take this path this offseason. And I say that
because he's been putting this spot ultimately because the Deshaun

(24:53):
Watson deal didn't work out.

Speaker 5 (24:54):
It's been a disaster.

Speaker 1 (24:55):
He brings in Joe Flacco, He's basically coaching for his
job this year. Had they brought Joe Flacco back last year,
maybe they win a few more games and maybe his
seat isn't as hot, and instead of just rolling with that,
Kenny Pickett's there, then they draft two quarterbacks in the
same draft, and and Stefanski's been as polite as he
possibly can. But I just wonder at what point Stefanski's

(25:19):
thinking to himself, Man, I got to get the hell
out of here, like this is like nothing. I've just
not set up for success based on my impulsive owner
and whatever he decides which way the wind is going
to blow from one off season to the next.

Speaker 3 (25:34):
It's just weird. And I would say, like there would
just have been like changing priorities over the years, right, So,
like Joe, but Joe Flacco kind of came in initially
in twenty three as like this. He came in as
this as this, you know, like emergency answer because they
were in such difficult position from an injury standpoint of
the position. You guys, remember dtr was part of that

(25:55):
whole thing, and there's just only a lot going on.
The reason they bring him back in twenty four is
because it was like, all right, like we're going to
be all in behind Joe. We're going to be all
in behind Deshaun Watson. And it's interesting if you look
at the dynamics of it, like part of it was
Joe Flacco had become too popular in that locker room.
It had become too good an answer, and I think

(26:18):
they were a little deep down afraid of like like, hey,
what happens if we get into August and Deshaun's still
working his way back and Joe looks better, you know,
like we need to get an answer based on our
investment and what Deshaun Watson is, you know, and then
last year goes the way it does and they made
the decision. Then in turn, we're throwing all that out,

(26:40):
like we're just going to go try to get the
best answers at quarterback we possibly can, if that means
throwing a bunch of darts at the dartboard, which is
what they wound up doing, and that's what we'll do,
but we're not doing that. We're not gonna you know,
we're we're not putting bubble wrap around around the quarterback
position anymore. Like this is going to be that we're
going to have a fall on top tition and you know,

(27:01):
and and Deshaun may be part of that, he may not,
we'll see with the injury. But like this is going
to be an open thing. So that's how to get there.
I understand what you're saying about the spot Kevin's in.
It's tough, and I'd be interested to see, like over
the next couple of years, what would happen if somebody
came along offering draft picks. I do think like Kevin
is still really respected. I mean it sounds like Jonas

(27:24):
from what you're saying, like you were second job he's
done based on the circumstances, made the playoffs twice, you know,
in five years, and so yeah, I mean, I would
certainly think he would be in the category of guy
where you'd be like, yeah, if you're if you're another team,
it's at least worth asking the question at this point,
like is there something we could do to get a

(27:44):
chance to talk to this guy?

Speaker 5 (27:46):
Abe?

Speaker 4 (27:47):
I want to keep it on the quarterback topics? Am
I wrong for thinking that the longer it takes for
Aaron Rodgers to sign, the more it puts Pittsburgh steel
the steel there's decision makers, including the Hey coach.

Speaker 5 (28:03):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (28:05):
It makes the conversations that much more intense in terms
of the way they're managing the off seasons and the
way they're managing that position in particular.

Speaker 3 (28:18):
Yeah, So, like, I think we're coming to a really
critical point LeVar and this whole thing. You know, I
know the Feelers would like to have men, you know,
next Tuesday when they start there. They're they're they're better
in mini camp, you know. I think they've they've they've
sort of at this point been playing by Aaron's rules
and they've been okay with that. The communication has been

(28:41):
really good, and there are a lot of people involved
or on the periphery of this thing that thinks it's
basically done and that he's going to be there. I
think the Feelers feel very comfortable that he will eventually
get there. But I also know like it's important to
them that he's at the mini camp, you know, And
so I think, you know, I deep my guess would

(29:01):
be like if you if you gave Art Ronie or
you know, or Omar Khan or Mike Tomlin truth serum,
they would tell you, Yeah, like, we don't think we're
asking that.

Speaker 5 (29:12):
Much of him.

Speaker 3 (29:13):
You know, it's just hey, you know, like you can
do things at your own pace. So we'd really like
to have you here for the mini camp. And then
how do you manage that with your team? It's a
fair question. You know, it'll be interesting to see the
way all of that goes. But you know, I know
they felt like like this roster that they have is
in a position to win right now. We've been over

(29:33):
the age thing with them, right like TJ Watts thirty one,
think of Fitzpatrick's twenty nine, Cam Hayward's at the end,
DK Metcalts on a third contract. They're really leveraged to
win right now. And you know, I think like their
logic and in pursuing Rogers was this isn't a time

(29:54):
to swing for a single or a double. This is
the time to swing for the fences. And so I
think that's why they've been so flexible with him, and
you know, we'll see what that looks like next week.

Speaker 1 (30:04):
Alberta Last one. There's been some names thrown out there
speculation about trades, whether it's Kyle Pitts, John hus Smith,
like there's you know, the usuals that have been out
there over the past few days. Most likely trade that
you could see happening, Jalen Ramsey, whoever possibly come to
fruition here soon.

Speaker 3 (30:25):
Yeah, Pitts, I would say no, I'll just go to
the three he gave me. At Pitts, I say no,
you know, I just think the money he's owed over
ten million dollars. He was basically in a platoon with
Charlie Warner last year at the position in Atlanta. He's
got health questions, you know, Like, I just don't know
how you're going to give Atlanta something that's going to

(30:46):
be enough for them to walk away from the guy
that invested the fourth pick in five years ago, four
years ago and they picked up the option on like
and then for another team, Like, how is another team
going to say, like that guy's worth like a third
round taking eleven million dollars. It's just the value is there.
So I don't think he has traded. I think John
new to Pittsburgh is very much in play. Arthur Smith

(31:08):
is obviously a huge part of that, and it would
give them another answer. There's still positions like with with
George Dickens gun and give them flexibility too because they're
already really good at the position with Pat Bryers there,
LaVar's guy from Penn State, and I think having johna
would give them good flexibility in playing twelve personnel eleven personnel,

(31:32):
you know, and obviously Arthur's got a good idea how
to use John new And I think Kaleen Ramsey's probably
played his last game in the Dolphin. I'm not sure
where he winds up, but I do think there'll be
an effort to get him off the roster between now
and started training camp, and I think he probably won't
play somewhere else next year and get.

Speaker 1 (31:49):
Him on ex at Albert Breer, Senior NFL reporter, Lead
content strategist at the MMQB, Amazon NFL on Prime Insider

what's lack? It's Lee's lap, Joers.

Speaker 7 (33:22):
All right, the lap? What do we got guys?

Speaker 8 (33:24):
June fifth, nineteen eighty five. Forty years ago today? Do
you know what day that was?

Speaker 5 (33:33):
I wasn't listening to you. You say forty years.

Speaker 8 (33:36):
Ago today, June fifth, nineteen eighty five. Do you know
the significance of this day? June fifth, nineteen eighty five.

Speaker 4 (33:44):
And that's called make me feel horribly bad when you
reveal it, probably make you feel old casual? Okay, go ahead,
Ferris Bueller's day off?

Speaker 7 (33:53):
What bears Bueller?

Speaker 8 (33:53):
Firspueler's day off? June fifth, nineteen eighty five.

Speaker 5 (33:56):
Nice.

Speaker 8 (33:57):
Matthew Broderick and his buddy's case Ameron and what's her face?
They all have a great day there in the downtown.
Chicago goes to a Cubs game, oh Man doubleheader faces
the Braves, catches.

Speaker 7 (34:08):
A foul ball.

Speaker 5 (34:10):
Yeah, I don't care.

Speaker 7 (34:11):
Filmed at the actual game, I don't.

Speaker 5 (34:13):
Feel bad about it.

Speaker 4 (34:14):
You know, if it would have been something more significant,
I might have felt bad. My favorite part of that's
not something I committed to memory knowing that today was
Fairs Bueller.

Speaker 1 (34:24):
You know, my my favorite part of the movie, and
I'll follow this up with a fun fact, is when
the principle goes on the lookout for Ferris Bueller because
he knows he's calling. He's faking his sickness and he
shows up to a pizza parlor and the Cubs game
is on, and he asks the guy working at the
pizza parlor. He goes, uh, what's a score. Guy's like nothing, nothing,

(34:46):
Who's winning? Guy looks at him and goes the Bears.
And a fun fact that principle I think got busted
rabbing child porn yep.

Speaker 7 (34:57):
Yeah, wow, yeah, real life yep yeah, skiezer.

Speaker 4 (35:02):
Alright, moving on to bring that up, all right, do
you this day?

Speaker 7 (35:09):
Well June fifth.

Speaker 8 (35:11):
Well, he got his comeuppance in the movie a little
bit here and there. But do you guys subscribe to
any There's a couple of fan theories out there. One
that Cameron is delusional, that Ferris Bueller is a part
of his figurment, of.

Speaker 7 (35:21):
His imagination because he's.

Speaker 8 (35:23):
Another one that I subscribe to is that it's a
groundhog day situation that he's stuck in a time loop,
and that he's created a perfect day because he keeps
breaking the fourth wall.

Speaker 7 (35:32):
It's kind of gotten nuts. He creates a perfect day.

Speaker 1 (35:34):
He knows exactly how to get in and out every
people actually think and theorize this stuff.

Speaker 7 (35:39):
Oh yeah, get a life.

Speaker 4 (35:41):
Yeah, man, you're making us sing like movie here. Move
on from this one. Please, we're not nerves. Get on
the get on. No want us to respond to this. No,

Speaker 5 (36:19):

Speaker 9 (36:21):
Everyone climbed out. I want all radios off, instantaneously, all
radios off. I want all of you to look at
this slovenly sloppy boy here as an example of.

Speaker 7 (36:39):

you play that again?

Speaker 5 (36:46):
