Speaker 4 (01:46):
You want to make sure we're good here? I mean,
I uh, it sounds like some people.

Speaker 5 (01:50):
Have some problems with us being number one.

Speaker 6 (01:52):
So yeah, I mean, here came in hot. Albert Breer
came in hot today.

Speaker 7 (01:57):
Dan, Let's let's let's us.

Speaker 6 (02:00):
Out Albert.

Speaker 4 (02:02):
To schedule.

Speaker 5 (02:03):
They faced the SEC.

Speaker 8 (02:04):
Right, hold on, hold on, and m and Indiana both
have played so far a tougher schedule and.

Speaker 7 (02:10):
And have better wins.

Speaker 5 (02:13):
Really played a tougher schedule though, Yeah, or are you
or are you just going by the patch on their jersey? No?

Speaker 8 (02:21):
And this is where, like I think a lot of
people who want to try to act like the SEC
doesn't have a greater group of good football teams. I mean, look,
Ohio State is probably the best team in the country.
Indiana's right there at number two. Like you can, you
can make those cases, but don't act like AM's not
right there, and don't act like the SEC doesn't have

(02:43):
more more depth.

Speaker 7 (02:44):
They've got better teams.

Speaker 5 (02:45):
They know they do more.

Speaker 7 (02:47):
By Albert, there's no dispute.

Speaker 8 (02:51):
By and large, you can play a much more difficult road,
like that's not even debatable.

Speaker 6 (02:55):
That's like fact that.

Speaker 4 (02:59):
The SEC so big now in the Big ten is two.

Speaker 5 (03:02):
You really have to look at which teams they're planning, right, like,
look at which SEC teams they've played.

Speaker 8 (03:08):
Okay, if you really want to go that route, all right,
let's just go ahead and talk about this. Which conference
has the most team most players draft in the NFL.

Speaker 5 (03:18):
I'm not arguing the SEC. The SEC is deeper, there's
no question about that. I'm not arguing that at all.
I'm just saying, like the team specifically the teams that
Texas A and M has played like they they have
not they have played Alabama, have they they played?

Speaker 7 (03:33):
But they will take play Texas. They played Miszoo this week.

Speaker 8 (03:36):
They've already beaten LSU in bat Rouge, which is a
tough road test. And I would go as far as
saying this, they beat Notre Dame on Notre Dame, like
I would say this the Auburn's, Mississippi States in Florida's
those schools are better than the Rutgers, U C. L A,
whoever else you would have thrown there. Yeah, yeah, they

(03:58):
are well, I would take I think Florida would be Illinois.

Speaker 5 (04:03):
Because though right, like so sure, but what are we play?

Speaker 8 (04:07):
Like what do we No, I'm not m throw Pensta
into this, which like that's part of the issue is
down Ye, that's down year, right, That's part of the issue.

Speaker 7 (04:16):
Is your Penn state.

Speaker 8 (04:17):
Your Michigan brands are not as good as as some
of these other teams that are biding for a playoff spot.
Michigan's still in the hunt, but we'll see what happens
at the end of the year.

Speaker 5 (04:26):
That's fair, I mean, like, but I would I would
agree with like everything you're saying if they.

Speaker 4 (04:31):
Were playing like like I'll go home.

Speaker 5 (04:32):
It's playing like a legitimately like murderous schedule.

Speaker 7 (04:35):
I think right, like so like you forma Florida A
number of teams.

Speaker 4 (04:39):
But yeah, there are a few of these schools.

Speaker 5 (04:41):
Like, it's just these conferences have gotten so big now
that there are years where you have a little bit
of an easier path. It happens in both the Big
Ten and the SEC, right, And I just feel like
if you look at A and M schedule, it's like, yes,
the SEC is deeper, there's no question. I'm not I'm
not gonna be one of those like.

Speaker 4 (04:59):
Big Ten guys who argues otherwise, it's not. It's just
it is where it is.

Speaker 5 (05:05):
It's just like A and M has an easier pass
this year through the SEC than you might in another year.
I don't think that's debatable either, is it, Brady, Uh.

Speaker 7 (05:15):
It's it's easier in comparison to other SEC schools.

Speaker 6 (05:18):
I don't.

Speaker 8 (05:19):
I wouldn't say that their schedule is easier than Ohio States,
for example, because they'll both play Texas. Texas is not
the team we thought they were. And by the way,
if you want to make the comparison to like Indiana's
strength the schedule, I realized their non conference was easy,
but you both played Illinois like they blew the crap
out of Illinois. Yeah, you played them in Champagne and
you still beat them. But the reality is like Indiana's

(05:42):
game or wins.

Speaker 5 (05:43):
You watch that game, I mean, come on, you watch
that game, Like Illinois was never and we were in
like third gear in that game. You know, like I
don't know, like I just like look at this and
like I just I mean.

Speaker 4 (05:55):
It's all be sad.

Speaker 5 (05:56):
I mean it means.

Speaker 4 (05:56):
Here's the other thing is this argument me is lost
than it ever has before.

Speaker 5 (06:01):
Right, it used to actually matter like where it was
like it could mean getting in not getting in. So
it matters loss than it ever has before.

Speaker 7 (06:10):
Sure, But the problem is the problem is is it
comes down to eye test.

Speaker 8 (06:17):
Is really what you're saying then, as you're saying right now,
it's not what's on paper, it's what I think I see,
And I agree with you, like Ohio State looks to
be the best team statistically.

Speaker 7 (06:29):
You could probably make some arguments.

Speaker 8 (06:30):
I mean, Indiana again is a better point differential equally
as dominant. But and at the end of the day,
it doesn't really matter because they would both end up
getting buy its a different path. Like I look at
honestly look a Notre Dame of ten and I understand
what people have a gripe with it, Like if Miami
beats you, you can't have them eight spots behind them,
even though they just lost, and they feel like they're
on a downward, you know, trend, and they struggle in

(06:52):
November under crystabal. But like, I understand how people get
frustrated because if you're going to state a criteria, you
need to abide by that criteria.

Speaker 7 (07:02):
And so you can't go into this offseason.

Speaker 8 (07:04):
And say strength to schedule matters, Yeah, and then when
the first ranking comes out, you don't really make strength
of schedule look like it matters quite as much. That's
what's frustrating I think for a lot of fans.

Speaker 5 (07:15):
Yeah, I just don't. I don't think like I mean,
I don't and maybe I'm wrong about this. I don't
think the.

Speaker 4 (07:21):
Strength of schedule like between Ohio.

Speaker 5 (07:24):
State and text A and M at least, like I
think Indiana schedule is probably a little lighter, although they
did play Oregon in Eugene, right Like.

Speaker 4 (07:30):
I think, like with Ohio State and text A and M,
I I think to this point and.

Speaker 5 (07:37):
Maybe it'll change as you know, the year ago, like
you know, you get deeper.

Speaker 4 (07:40):
Into the season.

Speaker 5 (07:41):
Ohio State doesn't have a real test left until Michigan,
and you know, like and M I think as a
couple left right, Like, so this might look different like
at the end of the year.

Speaker 4 (07:52):
But like as of right now, you know, you talk
about the.

Speaker 5 (07:56):
Eye tests and everything else, and then you know the history.

Speaker 4 (07:58):
And all that, and I don't know that there's just
like I think some people are.

Speaker 5 (08:03):
Making it out to be like there's a huge gap
in the schedules, and I just don't think there is that.

Speaker 4 (08:07):
Texas A and m schedule.

Speaker 5 (08:08):
Might be a little tougher, Like I'm fine with that,
but like to act as if like they're going through
like the murders Row the SEC is not the case.
You know they've played.

Speaker 7 (08:19):
Don't don't tell that to Bama fans. Don't tell that
to Bama fans.

Speaker 8 (08:22):
And I also I also would add this, there's been
more parody and upsets I think this year than many others,
in which in regards to the AP poll, And I
think a lot of that has to do with the
fact that those games that you're referring to that feel
like layups, they're not anymore because you go out there
and you lay an egg or your team has an
off day, those average middle of the road teams are.

Speaker 7 (08:45):
Now capable of pulling off the upset, right, So that's right.

Speaker 8 (08:50):
Yeah, And I sit there and looking at I go
look at look at some of these other like for example,
Texas barely being in Kentucky. It's like, dude, they won,
they won. Like at the end of the day, like
all that matters is winning and losing. And so again,
we don't need to waste too much time on this,
like Ohio State looks to be the best. Like, by
the way, do I feel like Notre Dame looks to
be better than Miami right now?

Speaker 7 (09:10):
Yeah?

Speaker 8 (09:10):
I think if they played again, Notre Dame would beat Miami.
And we can go talk to odds makers and what
those betting lines would look like. But the truth of
the matter is like, at some point your own criteria
has to come into play.

Speaker 5 (09:23):
I'm with you on that because I do think like
you know, this is one thing that was frustrating to
me about these arguments in the past, is like at
some point, winning the game has to matter, you know
what I mean?

Speaker 4 (09:33):
Like, and like I think sometimes like we get.

Speaker 5 (09:35):
Away from what happened a month ago, it's like, no,
those games count two. You know what I mean like that,
it's just because it happened in the September.

Speaker 4 (09:42):
Doesn't mean it doesn't count. Like so you know, like
I'm with you on that part of it.

Speaker 7 (09:48):
Hey, by the way, Albert, how much more fun is
college to talk about that? NFL?

Speaker 8 (09:52):
I know Jonas is going to transition right now to NFL,
but much more fun at college.

Speaker 7 (09:56):
It is, just admit it, it's more fun.

Speaker 4 (09:58):
Well, I get more, I get more emotional and fired
up and everything.

Speaker 5 (10:02):
So yeah, it is fun to talk about for sure.

Speaker 6 (10:05):
Hm, go ahead, Jonas transit transition Jonas? Are you there?
Is Joan is there? Does Jonas?

Speaker 4 (10:17):
Jonas? Did Jeffer himself?

Speaker 6 (10:20):
I take it. I'll take no worry fine for Jonas.
You totally zoned out or did I don't know, we
don't know what I was.

Speaker 1 (10:29):
I was about to and then you know, I'd gotten
cut off with no blinker, so I just figured okay,
I would just you.

Speaker 6 (10:34):
Know, got cut with no blink. Yeah, three seconds.

Speaker 3 (10:39):
That's not a fine. That's not a fine. You should
be fine.

Speaker 6 (10:42):
That was rude.

Speaker 3 (10:42):
I was getting ready to ask a question.

Speaker 7 (10:44):
Jonas knocks being a weenie, I was.

Speaker 3 (10:46):
I was getting ready to ask a question.

Speaker 6 (10:48):
I got cut off the dead air bro We tried,
we we said, Jonas, go ahead.

Speaker 7 (10:53):
You wanted to say nothing.

Speaker 6 (10:54):
I mean I got cut off in traffic. I don't
have to tell you that's what it was. He's sitting
there talking instead of paying attention. God, go ahead, Jonas.

Speaker 3 (11:02):
So Ab, how did we get here with the New
York Jets?

Speaker 5 (11:06):
Yeah, it's it's actually a really interesting story.

Speaker 4 (11:10):
You know, like this goes back to.

Speaker 5 (11:11):
The summer and kind of how they assessed, you know,
like their roster and I you know, I I know
when they when they science nots that deal. One of
the things that like the cat people were instructed to
do is like, like let's make sure.

Speaker 4 (11:27):
This deal is tradable because you never know, like you
don't know.

Speaker 5 (11:34):
What this is going to look like in three months
and four months, and so you just want to give
yourself the flexibility you know, you give you give the
player some wins in the deal, of course, but like
you want to give yourself a flexibility where if something happens,
you're going to be able to have the flexibility to move.
So that's really where it starts. And then you know,

(11:55):
I give the Jets credit, like because one thing that
I thought was really in that they've been doing over
the last month and a half is like they've had
a weekly meeting where they put trade values on every
one of their players. And it doesn't mean they're going to.

Speaker 4 (12:09):
Trade their players, but like there's this like we have
to be ready for anything, right Like, and we know
we're going to get calls, and so we have to
like at least have an idea of what it would
take on.

Speaker 5 (12:20):
Any player on our roster, so we're not caught flat
footed and we're not like hustling to figure out whether
or not we want to do something. And you know,
I think the Micah Parsons trade informed them on a
lot of this because on Sauce, when they were talking
about like what the trade value would be, the trade
value was what we would need a Micah Parsons type
of deal, And you look at it and like what

(12:42):
did it wind up being? It wind up it wound
up being a Micah Parsons type of return, right Like,
So I'm not comparing the two players, but if you
look at the.

Speaker 4 (12:53):
Terms of the of the of the trade Dallas and
green Bay, it was it was.

Speaker 5 (12:59):
It was too first round picks going from the Packers
to the Cowboys with a quality player and Kenny Clark
and so in this case, same sort of thing, you know,
like two players and equality to two first round picks
and a quality player going from Indianapolis to the Jets.

Speaker 4 (13:15):
And then like I think that kind of loosened them
up a little bit on Quinton Williams, where.

Speaker 5 (13:21):
Once the Sauce deal happens and goes down, it jarred
things loose a little bit and it was like, okay,
like is there another deal out there to be done?
You know, and the Cowboys call, and the Cowboys were
had had had had that discussion with with with with
the Jets about Quinn Williams going back to the summer

(13:42):
when they'd inquired on Michael Parsons, and so, uh, that
deal gets done too, I think as much as anything else, guys, it's.

Speaker 4 (13:49):
Like an acknowledgment of where they are and that you know,
they aren't.

Speaker 5 (13:53):
As close as they thought they'd be based on the
talent that was on hand, and so like now you know,
you still maintain a core and you still have Gerret
Wilson and all of Tashanu and armand Membu and Jermaine Johnson,
and well McDonald and a bunch of good young players.
But this gives you some flexibility to keep building the team.
And I think the big thing, of course, is this

(14:15):
gives you the capitol to get a quarterback at some
point over the next year or two.

Speaker 6 (14:20):
That's got to be what it is that that they're
trying to do is position to get a quarterback, right,
I mean, if you're going to if you're going to
use draft picks, you're going to use them on trying
to find a cornerback as well. You're going to try
to use it on trying to find a dominant interior
lineman or a pass rusher that can get to the quarterback.
Or you're going to use it trying to get a
receiver that can break games open for you and give

(14:43):
your your quarterback a weapon. I just don't I mean,
can we get is there any clarity on like is
it just that the getting a quarterback outweighs the talent
that you have in Quinn and in Sauce, Like I
know p people say Sauce down been as good in
recent recent games, but that's still an elite guy at

(15:06):
the position. Sure you're going to just go draft another
guy why why those two? Is it strictly because the
draft capital.

Speaker 5 (15:15):
I mean, well it was those two because those two
are you know, who they got calls on and who
would bring home the biggest return.

Speaker 4 (15:24):
You know. Now, I don't think Garrett.

Speaker 5 (15:29):
Wilson was as available, and I think part of that
does relate back to whenever we do get a quarterback here,
we want to have like an infrastructure around him. On offense,
they have the two tackles, they have a number one receiver.
They bring in Ady Mitchell. We'll see what he becomes.

Speaker 4 (15:43):
There, you know. But they did tell the Colts.

Speaker 5 (15:47):
At the beginning of this, and this was really three
weeks in the making. I would say they did tell
the Colts at the beginning of this, like anybody on
their defense is available.

Speaker 4 (15:55):
Now, that doesn't mean they're.

Speaker 5 (15:56):
Looking to trade everybody, but just make us an offer,
you know.

Speaker 4 (16:00):
And you know, I'm always an advocated that like LeVar,
because like you just never.

Speaker 5 (16:06):
Know what someone's gonna what someone's going to offer you,
you know, and it's it's not as long as like
you're not like the stuff isn't becoming public. It can
be good to at least have those conversations because you're
starting to think bigger picture about your roster, and I
think that's where the Jets wanted to be here. So

(16:26):
I think really the availability of Sauce and Quinnon had
to do with their value and the fact that they
could bring a lot back teams willingness to meet that value,
and then you.

Speaker 4 (16:40):
Know the side of the ball that they played on.

Speaker 8 (16:42):
Mm oho you, Albert, I want to ask you about
the Colts. They feel like clearly Daniel Jones their guy
for the future with the moves they've made.

Speaker 4 (16:52):
Yeah, I think that's fair, Brady.

Speaker 5 (16:54):
I know they're they're over the moon with what they've
gotten from him so far, and you know, we'll see,
like but that what what what? What a new deal
looks like. I'd like to be Daniel Jones's agent right
now because I think he's got I think Brian Murphy
at athletes First has a lot of leverage right help
that way, I think it's you. You look at where

(17:15):
they're at and you know, if you are going to
address the quarterback in a way other than bringing Daniel
Jones back, you would probably be using first round picks,
whether it's the draft, a college player or trade for
a quarterback. To get that quarterback. So now you know
they've essentially been trading for Sauce Gardner, eliminated a lot

(17:35):
of their ability to go find a quarterback in the
off season, you know, So that points Daniel Jones is
a really good negotiating position where I think, you know,
he knows he's their guy going forward, you know, And
if I'm them, I would actually explore doing it now,
you know, rather than waiting to le the off season.
Now we'll see he can force them to tag him,
and you know, then you go through that whole song

(17:57):
and dance, and you know it's going to probably cast
forty fifty million dollars a year to keep them there,
you know.

Speaker 4 (18:04):
But but yeah, I'd say because this eliminates, you know,
the other.

Speaker 5 (18:08):
Path that the Colts would have to solve the quarterback position.
You know, I'd say, there's there's no question that this
is a signal that Daniel Jones is going to be
a quarterback next year and probably going forward.

Speaker 6 (18:21):
Albert rat for Kyler Murray. I'm sorry, what's that is it?
Is it a rat for Kyler Murray?

Speaker 1 (18:28):
No?

Speaker 5 (18:29):
Yeah, I would Yeah, I think at the very least
of our the Cardinals are going to explore other options
after the year. Now, Like it's interesting, like the contract
sets up, so I think he's got about thirty seven
million dollars guaranteed for next year.

Speaker 4 (18:44):
So it's sort of similar to Tua in that, Like,
you know, Tua the same.

Speaker 5 (18:49):
Way has like a lot of guaranteed money in twenty
six and then and then and then you know, the
team whoever holds the contract can get out of it
after that. So like for me with Kyler, it's.

Speaker 4 (19:02):
Like, you know, I look at to it and I say,
like if a new coach is coming.

Speaker 5 (19:06):
In there, a new coach can sell it as like
all right, like two is our bridge quarterback you know who.

Speaker 4 (19:12):
Is gonna be our quarterback in twenty six.

Speaker 5 (19:13):
That will give us a little bit of flexibility. We
can either draft one and keep them behind to it
this year, we can wait till next year. But at
the very least we can get a good level of
play out of Tua. With Kyler, it's a little trickier
because you know, you're not going to have a new
regime coming in there. I don't think and so and

(19:34):
you've had now Jacoby Brissette going in there, and I
don't know about you guys, but watching them, it looks
to me like Trey McBride and Marvin Harrison and some
of the talent they have on hand there. It's starting
to come alive with Jacoby at quarterback, you know, So.

Speaker 4 (19:49):
How do you handle that going forward?

Speaker 5 (19:50):
Can you go back to Kyler after this? I don't
think that's the plan right now. We'll see how Jacoby
continues to play, and then how do you handle it
after the year. Do you walk away? Do you try
to trade him? Is there somebody out there who wanting
to take him on as like a Sam Darnold Baker
Mayfield reclamation project. I think there's going to be a
lot of like those questions asked when we get to

(20:12):
February and March, and it wouldn't surprise me in the
least if the Cardinals are going in a different direction
at the position.

Speaker 1 (20:19):
Albert Brier joining us here on Fox Sports Radio, Zach
Taylor in Cincy. I know that, you know, defensively, you know,
he's the offensive guy, but he's also the head coach,
and so anything on that team that looks, you know,
a little suspect, he's going to be the one that's
held accountable for it, and so Chase Brown calling out
the defense. You know, I know, Joe Burrow's been injured,

(20:40):
but you know, it's been a couple of years since
they've made the playoffs, They've gotten off to these slow starts.
They tried a different approach this year. What's his future
look like? Because I would imagine if that job opens
up to be able to coach Joe Burrow immediately has
got to be the top job of the market.

Speaker 4 (20:57):
Right Well, I mean let's start here.

Speaker 5 (20:58):
I mean generally my experience. I don't know, the guys
can can can speak to this tribe better than me,
but I generally think like when something like this becomes
public is probably way worse behind the scenes. You know,
and we've seen this before where you've got the you
have the kind of divide between offense and defense when

(21:19):
one side is out performing the other, and that's certainly
the case here. You know, where the offense is doing
everything it can to save the Bengals season and doing
it without the quarterback, you know, and then you hear
about things like, you know, defensive players forcing around in
the locker room after after what happened on Sunday with
the with the Bears, so, you know, certainly I think

(21:41):
that like there's a question of like how one side fits.

Speaker 4 (21:45):
With the other right now, and the job Al Golden's doing.

Speaker 5 (21:48):
And replacing Uliant Romo and Loulian Arumo obviously is acquitting
himself pretty well in Indianapolis. Now, So are you going
to another coordinator change? I have a hard time seeing
them walk away through Zach Taylor after everything that Zach's
accomplished there over the last you know, five years and
going back to back AFC title games and making it

(22:08):
work through you know, Burrow being injured. But but I
but I certainly think like there's there's got to be
a look after you know, you spend all that money
on offense, and you know you've done so much to
to to try to make sure that you're you're stable
long term on that side of the ball. You know,
it's it's one of those questions where you look at

(22:29):
it and said, you have to take the defense down
to the studs now and almost start over.

Speaker 6 (22:34):
Jeez.

Speaker 3 (22:35):
Uh well, ab uh, it's that time.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
It's time to uh to go ahead and get your
thoughts here as we get ready for the big weekend
in the world of the NFL run West off the Yeah,
I mean, well, look it's you know, I mean, these
are these are big games, big games involving everybody including
so ab Uh do you feel that at the end

(22:59):
of this weekend's game against Purdue that Ohio State will
have won by more than twenty nine and a half points?

Speaker 5 (23:07):
Yeah, let's say you because I haven't taken him to
cover the last few weeks, right like and then they did.
I think, so I'll take them to cover this week.

Speaker 6 (23:13):
How about that? Okay?

Speaker 5 (23:14):
Or I'll take them to Sorry, I shouldn't use that.

Speaker 4 (23:16):
That uh that that that phrasing.

Speaker 5 (23:19):
I will take them to I will I expect them
to win the game by more than.

Speaker 1 (23:22):
Twenty Now are they going to be out of third
gear to run up the score and be able to
kind of prove me?

Speaker 5 (23:27):
You never know, we're take it into fifth gear, you
know what I mean? LeVar might have an idea of
what fifth gear looks like last week.

Speaker 6 (23:32):
No, wow, I should have got a targeting call.

Speaker 4 (23:36):
I know that that's where you're going with referees.

Speaker 6 (23:40):
Those referees were based you're.

Speaker 4 (23:42):
Going wait, wait, wait, that's where you're going. Referees.

Speaker 6 (23:44):
Those referees they they were getting they were bailing y'all out.

Speaker 4 (23:48):
You know, I talk what it was.

Speaker 5 (23:50):
We're gonna go with LeVar targeting calling the fourth quarter
when you were down by twenty.

Speaker 6 (23:54):
It wasn't called. They didn't, he didn't get suspended. It
wasn't targeting. It's it's ridiculous, but.

Speaker 7 (24:00):
Oars defense Dean Dean did say that that should have
been targeting.

Speaker 6 (24:05):
It should have been talking.

Speaker 4 (24:06):
I mean, did you see Caleb looked like looked like.

Speaker 6 (24:10):
He couldn't believe it. He couldn't believe he was ready
to go in. He knew what he did. You see
what I did right there. Guys, though, you got to
you got to shift the attention to something else. Man,
I don't want to hear about all his gloating.

Speaker 5 (24:24):
I'm just I'm just glad I won't call it cost
Caleb the first half and that big massive against Purdue.

Speaker 6 (24:30):
Yeah, yeah, you know, it's so disappointing that we've been
doing this show for so long and I.

Speaker 7 (24:37):
Think this season, like half your schedule has got a
winning record.

Speaker 6 (24:42):
Yeah, yet to yet to come on here after an
Ohio State game with a win against Ohio State, That's
that's ridiculous. Ready to represent I'm just ready to like
be a sore sore winner with Albert Breer on the line,
and it just won't happen. I just can't do it.

Speaker 3 (24:59):
Yeah, I we ab. We always order what I got
going on, always appreciate it. We'll do it again next week.

Speaker 1 (25:05):

Speaker 5 (26:54):

Speaker 1 (26:54):
That's promo code two Pros at DraftKings. The crown is
yours coming up here in a little over twelve minutes
from now, we are going to have another edition of
the Leftovers as we close up shop here on this
Thursday morning. Speaking to DraftKings, the current line for the
Thursday night game coming up later on tonight sees the
Broncos at a nine and a half point favorite against

(27:15):
the Las Vegas Raiders. The Awful Raiders in Denver to
take on the Broncos Raiders, and then the international game
this week features the Atlanta Falcons and the Indianapolis Colts.

Speaker 3 (27:27):
That'll be from Berlin, Germany.

Speaker 1 (27:29):
All right, so that'll be a nine to thirty am
Eastern time kickoff six thirty am out here on the
West Coast, but it'll be Falcons Colts, And right now
on DraftKings, Indianapolis is a six and a half point favorite.
And Albert Breer was talking about this that they really
like what they've seen from Daniel Jones, which is why
they got so aggressive with the Sauce Gardner trade and

(27:51):
giving up the two first round picks, et cetera, et cetera.
Do you guys believe that with Daniel Jones at quarterback,
that with all the moves they've made and how they've
looked that they are a legitimate threat in the AFC,
because I'm a little skeptical based on what the hell
was that that we just saw this weekend in Pittsburgh,

(28:11):
because the Steeler defenses never looked like that, and that
looked like the old Daniel Jones in New York.

Speaker 8 (28:18):
I think there's two teams who are mirror images of
one another, and one is the Seahawks and the NFC.
The other ones the Colts, where you know, both teams
made moves that gave you a sense of, hey, they
they believe the guy they've got there is their quarterback,
not just for this year but for the foreseeable future.

(28:39):
Shaheed obviously adds to Jackson Smith and Jigba and Tony Horton,
so they've got the downfield passing. And then you look
at the Colts adding sauce guard and what they give
up to get them. It gives you a sense of
how serious they feel like their chances are not just
in the division, but really making a run once they
get in the conference. And I do feel like the
different for me with this team is is they're pretty

(29:03):
darn complete. I mean, if you look at their old
line when healthy, they're one of the best groups in
the NFL. They've got arguably the best running back or
one of the best running backs in the NFL. You know,
they have all these complimentary pieces. They've got a young,
budding we are Penn State tight end who's phenomenal. That
helps open things up for guys in the outside too.

(29:24):
Josh Downs is a third down move, the sticks machine.
Pierce can make big plays when he's healthy out on
the outside. You know, that's not to mention Pittman too. Like,
They've got a lot of pieces, and then you add
in Jones and as long as he takes care of
the football and then his athletic ability to use his
legs from time to time, it's a dangerous combination with

(29:45):
Shane Steichen's.

Speaker 7 (29:46):
Play calling ability.

Speaker 8 (29:47):
I mean, this is a really, really good team. Lou
Ana Arumo has brought a different perspective on the defense
and the way he's got about making things complicated for offenses,
putting guys in positions to get sacks, to get pressure.
And they've got those you know, that front and some
young talented guys lotsu lotsu is you know, emerging I

(30:08):
just I look at this group and I say, they
could be that surprise team in the AFC. Seattle is
that other one that's maybe ahead of schedule than many
we thought. Many people thought, uh, And they're very similar
because I don't feel like there's a strong belief in
either one keeping this thing together for the rest of
the season, or maybe it's just when they get in,
when they get into the playoffs, being able to make

(30:29):
a run. But I think with what you see on film,
they're both very, very capable of it. I think the
questions are surrounding around the quarterbacks because we've got enough
of a book on them to say, yeah, but we've
seen the floor and if those guys play at their floor,
they're not going to beat anyone that's one of the
top teams in their conference. So I mean, loo again,

(30:51):
their ceiling is as high as anyone. Like I think
they can go toe to toe on their best day
with any of the top quarterbacks. And people can say
whatever they want to argue that, but you're dead wrong
because we always misunderstand what the margins of difference are
between athletes. At the NFL level, the margins are difference
are not their ceiling. The margins of difference are their floor,

(31:13):
and what ends up happening is you get guys who
end up playing and you know one guy who's you know,
one of the best, whether it's Mahomes, Josh Allen, whoever else,
their floor is much higher than most, like their worst
day still beats ninety percent of the NFL.

Speaker 7 (31:28):
And that's, to me, is the difference.

Speaker 8 (31:30):
You know, Whereas if Daniel Jones continued to keep raising
his floor of his level of play, and we don't
see that Pittsburgh game resurface, and Sam Darnold continues to
keep playing at the level he is and we don't
see him revert back to whether it's the Jets or
whatever else you want to talk about, even Carolina, even
those tough situation, you know, whatever you want to point to.
If they keep raising their floor, I think both of

(31:52):
them are going to be extremely competitive this year and
being contention once again the playoffs.

Speaker 6 (31:58):
I think they're solid in the South just because the
question marks surrounding all of those teams. I mean, Stroud
will be out for the Texans. The Jaguars are, you know,
kind of I don't know, They're up and down with
how they do things. I mean, they're in a better
direction what they have been in, but they're they're kind of,

(32:19):
you know, I don't know what they are. And the
Titans stink. So I think within the South, the Colts
are fine. Now once you get outside of the South
and you start looking at the rest of the AFC,
and they can they keep up with the rest of
the AFC, you know, some of the top teams. I mean,

(32:41):
the Patriots are on top of the Bills right now.
I don't necessarily think the Patriots, in fact, I know,
I don't think the Patriots are a better team than
the Bills. But they're a top. They're a top. They're they're,
you know, part of the AFC there in the East.
You look at the AFC North. They just lost to
the Steelers. They're on top of the AFC North. Are

(33:05):
the Steelers a super impressive team. No, there's a lot
of question marks surrounding them. The Ravens have to climb
and dig out of a hole. There's a lot of
question marks about them. We don't even need to go
down the rest of them. I mean, we could say
the Bengals, I mean, they could end up being a factor,
but they got a hole they got to climb out
out of, too. And then once you go out to

(33:26):
the west, you have the Broncos ahead of the Chargers
and you got the Chiefs in third. So it's kind
of like when you look at the AFC, they're in
a perfect position even with question marks, they're in a
perfect position to actually be competitive, being positioned by seasons

(33:48):
in heading into the playoffs, to be competitive the rest
of the season and be competitive in the playoffs. But
I do think that there are question marks surrounding this team.
I do believe that you can you can look at
that that in reference that Steelers game and say, if
a team can shut down which I believe was the

(34:09):
book on Daniel Jones in New York, if you can
shut down the running game, then you limit that, you
limit what Daniel Jones is able to do, and it
gives you an opportunity to win the game. And we're
going to see can you stop enough of of of Taylor?
Taylor's the back right, Well, I'm blanking on the back. Yeah,

(34:30):
what's his name? What's his name?

Speaker 3 (34:32):
Jonathan Taylor?

Speaker 6 (34:33):
Jonathan Taylor.

Speaker 1 (34:34):
He rotates with Joseph and I believe, thank you, thank you.
He what Joseph and I what about him?

Speaker 7 (34:40):
Yeah, he's being passive aggressive.

Speaker 6 (34:42):
Yeah, because.

Speaker 3 (34:45):
I'm not paying that. I won't pay that fine.

Speaker 6 (34:47):
You will pay it. You like thirty dollars from this.

Speaker 1 (34:50):
Show, Joseph, Joseph ade reference gets me ten dollars.

Speaker 6 (34:55):
That's the second time it was. I'll be the judge
on this, bro who Yeah, move on, move on.

Speaker 3 (35:03):
Okay, nothing to see here.

Speaker 6 (35:05):
He's just going to self appoint himself as the judge,
all right, So at any rate, I'm going to keep
the track of this dang all right, Okay, I think
the Colts are in as in good a position as
any team in the AFC to be a threat. That's
That's what the conclusion has to be. There's no other
team that you can sit there and say, by record

(35:26):
or by whatever it is they have, you know, their
their their team depth, their their depth chart. There's nothing
you could say that says you have separated yourself from
what the Colts are and and so to me, of
course they're a threat, even with question marks.

Speaker 1 (35:44):
Whether there's a there's a world in which I'll be
the judge here, there's a move on, there's a world
in which move on, in which Buffalo, Kansas City, and
Baltimore are the wild card spots in the AFC, Like
they would.

Speaker 6 (36:03):
Be your five to getting them in the first round.
Yeah no, thanks, So I had the problems in the
first round.

Speaker 1 (36:11):
Imagine yeah, imagine those guys coming into town with all
that experience taking on whoever they would get in the
first round. Like there would be a lot of lower
seeds making runs in the AFC.

Speaker 6 (36:22):
Do you and I don't.

Speaker 8 (36:23):
I don't know this matchup's quite the same, but it
reminds me a little of the Tennessee Titans team that
with Ryan Tannehill and Derrick Henry. You know, there's a
little bit of those vibes where you know, Tannehill played
great in the regular season that he struggled in the
in the postseason, but they were led by their rushing attack.

Speaker 7 (36:40):
You know, they played you know, kind of you know.

Speaker 8 (36:42):
Physical, you know, tough style of defense, and and then
you know they made enough plays in the passing game.

Speaker 7 (36:47):
And I feel like that's kind of where, ironically.

Speaker 8 (36:51):
Like this Colts team is. They're almost like one of
those Mike Vrabel Tennessee Titans seed. Did you kind of
see it that way? Where they could make a run
to the ENC Championship. I just don't know in the
end if they're going to be able to beat you know,
whoever that is, whether it's Kansas City or Buffalo, whoever's
going to be there at the end of the.

Speaker 1 (37:07):
Year, especially if you consider that Tennessee team had to
do it on the road because they beat New England
that was Tom Brady's final game with the Patriots, and
then they beat Baltimore. Remember Baltimore had that bye week,
and they went in there and smacked Baltimore and then
they ended up losing the AFC title game. Yeah, it
does in Indianapolis. If they were to continue on the

(37:30):
way they're going, they wouldn't have to go on the road,
like they would be hosting majority, if not all, of
these games in India, especially if they get the one seed.

Speaker 3 (37:37):
So it's just crazy to think.

Speaker 1 (37:39):
That that's where that's where we're at, that another former
Giant could be leading his team.

Speaker 6 (37:44):
You don't get to say if it's crazy, I'm the
judge of it.

Speaker 5 (37:48):
If it's.

Speaker 7 (37:51):
Thank you, don't make me get again. Don't make me
get my GA again.

Speaker 10 (39:03):
Oooh my goodness, I was really shocked to see these
leftovers in the fridge. Today of Cowboys fan was recorded
pouring ashes from a ziplock bag onto the.

Speaker 3 (39:14):
Cowboys star outside of the stadium.

Speaker 10 (39:17):
I want to know, fellas, what do you think is
more shocking spreading the ashes there or keeping your loved
ones in a.

Speaker 3 (39:22):
Ziplock so you didn't even get it inside the stadium. No,
it's outside.

Speaker 10 (39:28):
I'm in the grass outside.

Speaker 6 (39:30):
Yeah, okay, it's.

Speaker 1 (39:33):
A little odd, I mean, and also, yeah, the ziplock
bag is also probably not the greatest move in the world.

Speaker 6 (39:43):
I mean, was it in the person's wheel to be
in a ziplock bag and to be poured spread out
over a star? If that's what it was, then God
bless They're all deserving of one another. In that family,
I wonder what their family name is. I wonder what
they do on their spare time. I just you know,

(40:03):
I have questions.

Speaker 3 (40:05):
Yeah, I'm not getting cremated and tell you that right
now happen.

Speaker 6 (40:08):
Oh, I'm okay with that part of it, but the
whole what happens next part is what I have questions about.

Speaker 1 (40:14):
But because let's be honest, I mean, how do you
know it's actually them, you know what I mean? Like
they could have just, you know, hey, where'd you put
where'd you put? Ron?

Speaker 6 (40:24):
I don't know why fake it?

Speaker 1 (40:28):
Go grab something from the ashtray outside, Like what are
you gonna do? You're not gonna know the difference.

Speaker 6 (40:33):
I mean, I could see if it was Q and
they wanted to do a Bible hit, you know what
I mean, it was like all right, right, but they
got a real Brady Quinn Bible hit
