The way tire buying should be still no Damian Lillard
trade for everybody asking that as well too. That trade
has still not happened, So Dame Lillard is still The
rumors are he likes to go to certain places, doesn't
want to go to others. Maybe the Blazers will work
with him, maybe they won't, etc.

Speaker 3 (02:29):
Etc.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
So that's the latest on Damian Lillard. There was a
trade in the NBA yesterday though, a three teamer that
involved Grant Williams being sent from the Celtics to the Mavericks.
It's a sign and trade deal also involving the San
Antonio Spurs. San Antonio receives Reggie Bullock in return and
an unprotected first round pick in twenty thirty, so right

(02:51):
around the corner twenty thirty, and then the Celtics are
getting a bunch of US second round picks as well
too in return. So man like, the Celtics are going
to look a lot different this upcoming year than in
the past couple of years. There's got to be something
else going on. There got to be maybe not.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
A ton different, not not a ton different.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
Marcus Smart's gone.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
That's a big that's a difference.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
Grant Williams is you know, he was a contributor. He's gone.

Speaker 3 (03:18):
That's that's it.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
I just I wonder if they're making some moves to
try and get involved in the Damian Lillard sweepstakes. I
wonder if that's what this is about. Acquiring a bunch
of draft capital, a bunch of assets. They've still got
Malcolm Bronce.

Speaker 5 (03:33):
If they were to bring in Dame Lillard and are
able to do that, like money wise, that's I mean,
sorry Marcus Smart, but that's that's just that's an upgrade, right,
You've upgraded and and you've given that team. You've given

(03:53):
that team an extra dimension, Like that's that third superstar.
That's definitely that that third superstar. So, yeah, you got
Jalen you got you got Come.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
On, what's my guys, Jason Tatum, Christoph porzingis there?

Speaker 3 (04:09):
You go and.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
See. I don't I don't know how they could pull
that deal off and not part with Jalen Brown as
part of the deal. But maybe, yeah, maybe they're thinking, look,
Malcolm Brogden, some other pieces, we'll give you a couple
of first round picks, all these second round picks that
we've acquired over the past couple of weeks since the draft.

(04:32):
Maybe that's the thinking. Uh, there was a report that
Damian Lillard is not interested in wanting to uh play
for Boston. That that was you know, maybe Boston's got
a reputation for some stuff in the past. Yeah, so
maybe there was there's that going on, but oh wow.
But again, I mean again there's you know, if if

(04:53):
you can get out of Portland, you want to play
for a winner, I mean that that's a much better
roster to go to than what you've been dealing with them.

Speaker 3 (04:59):
As there has there been any other teams listed Miami.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
Of course, everybody wants to go to Miami shocker. There's
also been the Brooklyn Nets have been thrown out there.
That's a potential landing spot. Uh, the seventy six ers
were kicked around early on maybe the Clippers. So that's
that's the latest speculation on the Damian Lillard trade with
with the Portland.

Speaker 3 (05:23):
Trade Clippers intriguing.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
Yeah, I mean maybe not good for him. Seems like
everything the Clippers touch, something bad happens. So maybe that's
not good for Damien.

Speaker 6 (05:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
I mean with Paul George and Kawhi Leonard that just
as well.

Speaker 3 (05:40):
George coming back healthy.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
Probably not same with Kawhi. Lillard is thirty two, I believe,
so you know, he's still got, you know, at least
a couple of years of really good basketball left. So
that's that we wait and see. And if you're at
the NBA just milk that for as long as you
can keep people interested in the story, because once training
camp starts, it's over. People are moving on to the

(06:04):
NFL and they're ready to for football season in college
football starting up around the corner, and then the NBA
is going to have to fight for some headlines, So
maybe that would make more sense for them now. Earlier
in the show, we did have a chance to catch
up with Albert Breer because we were having a conversation
about the rumors of Dalvin Cook and the Patriots having

(06:24):
interest in Dalvin Cook DeAndre Hopkins, and a lot of
this was on the heels of the fact that there's
been this little back and forth going on between Robert
Kraft and Bill Belichick, where Belichick at the end of
the season mentioned, you know where they're at from a
spending standpoint, that they're one of the bottom tier teams
in the league as far as spending goes the last

(06:45):
three years. Interesting that he, you know, chose the last
three years since Tom Brady left to point that out
and got to do the math on that. And then
Robert Craft recently via Greg Bodard, who covers the Patriots,
has been covering sports there in Boston for a long time,
sort of shot that down and said, that'll never be
the issue, like spending will never be the issue. If
it ever gets to that point, I'll just sell the team.

(07:07):
So Albert Breer has covered the Patriots for a long
time as well too. He lives in the area, so
we asked him whether or not he believes that there's
the potential of not only some bad blood residing in
New England since the departure of Tom Brady won that
Belichick was in on and maybe Bob Kraft was not
in on, but also LeVar Po's the question, is there

(07:29):
the possibility that at some point very soon Bill Belichick
could be fired.

Speaker 7 (07:34):
I don't think we would ever hear that Bill Belichick
was fired, Like I don't think Robert Kraft has in
him to do what Jerry Jones did to Jimmy Johnson
in nineteen ninety four. I think, you know, Robert Craft
is going to want any separation with Bill to be amicable.
And you can see it in the way that Kraft

(07:57):
handled the breakup with Brady. He was concerned over how
that was, kind of how that looks, you know, and
he wanted to make sure that it didn't look like
they were kicking Tom out the door. I think in
the case of Belichick, like my guess would be, if
he did feel it was time to move on, he

(08:17):
would probably exhaust every avenue to try to make the
split look amicable. And there's a chance, like in a
situation like that, that Bill would say no and say
just fired me, if you're going to fire me. But
it's hard for me to envision a scenario where where Craft,
which is outright fire by the way, guys that I
do think that he has his next guy lined up

(08:37):
in Girod Mayo.

Speaker 1 (08:39):
So that was Albert Brier joining us from last Hour,
talking about the weird dynamic that is now residing in
New England between Bob Kraft and Bill Belichick. It's weird, man.

Speaker 5 (08:49):
I just don't understand why you could be immune to
being on the hot seat. You can win as many
championships as you want, but if you've lost the billy
to win, or maybe you're not lost the ability to win,
but you're you're struggling to win.

Speaker 3 (09:07):
I don't understand.

Speaker 5 (09:08):
Like I guess everybody, I understand you're not going to
judge all coaches equally, just based upon all, right, what
are you going to that's going to be better than
what you already have? Like, I get that, and it's
hard to make sense of we can go in a
different direction and bring in somebody that ultimately you believe
is going to do a better job than the current

(09:29):
coach that you have. But I still think that there's
something to be said about a coach that has had
so much success that they're bulletproof. I mean, I don't
know how, you know, how healthy is that for an organization,
cause you could be being held hostage. I've seen that
happen before, where coaches have had so much influence that

(09:51):
they weren't you know, they weren't able to be removed,
and it's possible that they did more dam then they
did good. So I'm just curious. At what point do
you sit there and you say Bill Belichick is doing
more damage being the head coach than he is good.

(10:14):
I mean, you got to start to believe that conversation
has has had to have come up if you're if
you're a Boston fan.

Speaker 1 (10:24):
Yeah, I'm not a child of divorce, but I've heard
this from people who are that sometimes there's the potential
that maybe the child blames one parent or another for
chasing the other one off. And I just wonder if
robber Craft looks at Belichick and again just says you

(10:46):
chased him off, like I swear of got like I
wonder if he looks at it and says, I trusted you.
I can understand. We go through a couple of tough seasons.
I get all that, but I trusted you and your
evaluation of where the best player in the history of
the franchise and potentially in the entire sport was at

(11:07):
in his career. I trusted you, And by trusting you,
all that we've gotten is a playoff appearance in which
we got blow torchs by Buffalo and then missing the
playoffs again, and then a sub five hundred year after that,
and all we got out of Tom Brady was a
Super Bowl, a near MVP season and another playoff appearance

(11:30):
like it, Just like that feels like not only you know,
do you should maybe you not have immunity from losing seasons,
but also if your inability to recognize what you had
in a quarterback at that time has faltered, maybe that's
where this is also a problem, which which goes to
the point of this year potentially could be a make

(11:52):
or break year when it comes to what happens with
Belichick and what happens with the Patriots, because there's a
lot of.

Speaker 5 (11:57):
Mine community from a losing season. It's a dope line.
There's a lot of people who have it though.

Speaker 3 (12:04):
I mean, Bill Belichick is one, make no mistake about it, right,
he's one.

Speaker 1 (12:10):
Yeah, So Dalvin Cook and DeAndre Hopkins are infused into
that roster. I think that's a significant upgrade. But I'll
I'll let me pose a what if scenario to you?
If they finished last in their division this year, which
they are projected to do by virtually anybody who looks
at Buffalo, Miami, the Jets and what they've done. If

(12:32):
the Patriots finished last in their division and they're a
non playoff team and say they're six and eleven or
seven and ten, what do you think the conversation is
after the.

Speaker 3 (12:44):
Season, same one we're having this year, but more heated.
I don't know, it.

Speaker 5 (12:51):
Just doesn't sound like like Bill Belichick can be in
that type of situation. I would have thought he would
have been in that type of situation. Now, why wait
another year? Right, You've seen what you need to see
where they're trending. It doesn't seem like they're trending up. Yeah,
So that that's a conversation that could have been had

(13:14):
last year, and the fact that it wasn't had last
year with more intensity than what it did. It just
says that there's not I mean, we I mean, we
stated it clearly. He's not he's not a fireable guy.
He's not what'd you say, immunity of what of what?

Speaker 3 (13:29):
What? What did you say?

Speaker 1 (13:30):
Immunity from a losing season.

Speaker 5 (13:33):
Immunity from a losing season. It's also immunity.

Speaker 1 (13:37):
And the fact that, as Albert pointed out, drowd Mayo's
kind of waiting to take over, like that's that's sort
of the plan. I mean, that was the same with McDaniels.
The thought was that Josh McDaniels is going to be
the air apparent to take over there, and then he
went on and took over for the Raiders. But the
fact that jirod Mayo's also there, and maybe it does
feel like they've got themselves a plan in place for

(13:59):
where and it's time to move on and go in
to a different direction. But it's interesting to watch what's
happened to them? What's happened to Brady? And again Tom
Brady will be back and celebrated at Foxboro this upcoming season,
so we get to pay attention to that and look
forward to all that fun stuff. It is Two Pros
and a Cup of Joe here Fox Sports Radio. He's
LeVar Arrington, I'm Jonas Knox. You can hang out with

(14:20):
us as always on the iHeartRadio app. But we've got
ourselves an excellent idea involving multiple superstars in the NFL,
and we'll have it for you next.

Speaker 2 (14:33):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern, three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 1 (14:48):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe Fox Sports Radio,
LaVar Arrington, Jonas Knox with the hear coming up in
a little over twenty minutes from now. We're going to
close up shop here on a Thursday morning with another
edition of You In or You Out, and that'll be
you here again about twenty minutes from now from the
ti iraq dot Com studios. So LeVar, who was the
fastest if you had to do like two or three

(15:09):
fastest players you ever played with that if you could
line up a race some sort of an event, a
bunch of football players out there, just Burn and Rubber,
who would be the fastest players you played with?

Speaker 3 (15:20):
I was on the field with Deon Sanders and Darryl Green.

Speaker 1 (15:24):
Okay, I don't know who would be the third, Like
if you had to do a three when I was playing,
Yeah that you played with?

Speaker 3 (15:38):
Pause?

Speaker 1 (15:39):
Yeah, I don't know who?

Speaker 5 (15:44):
Do you like?

Speaker 1 (15:45):
Who would have won that race? Darryl Green would have
won that race with Dion correct at. I don't know
one hundred meters or as possible? Okay, why well, I'm
just the reason I ask is because Devan Allen, who's
a wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles. I believe he
was on the practice squad all last year. So he

(16:08):
recently ran the fourth fastest one hundred ten meter hurdles
time in the world this year. So he burns it
and he's doing it in the one ten hurdles. And
he was talking with TMZ recently about potentially racing Tyreek
Hill and or dk Metcalf and how he would perform.

(16:29):
Let's take a listen.

Speaker 8 (16:31):
Look, the NFL has incredible athletes. We've seen guys like
DK Metcalf. He has tried his hand at sprinting. Obviously,
we know Tyreek Hill as a background in track and fields.
The fastest guy in the NFL right now, somebody else faster?

Speaker 5 (16:48):
Yeah, I definitely am.

Speaker 7 (16:49):
I definitely am.

Speaker 1 (16:52):
And so that was Devin Allen talking with TMZ just
about and listen. He gave a little bit of love
to Tyreek Hill and said, man, just where we're at now,
it's different going up against world class guys. Tyreek Hill
did beat me in high school. DK Metcalf in his
performance and running the time that he did in the
one hundred meters at his size six three or four,

(17:13):
two hundred and thirty forty pounds whatever, he is impressive.
But he says he's the fastest guy in the NFL.
So let me ask you this, Why the hell can't
we line this up? Let's make this happen. If they
keep rolling out this crummy ass match game, it's like,
it's just the idea that we're going to have a
bunch of guys that don't golf golf and put it

(17:33):
on television with sponsors and Barkley on the set, and
you've got you know, Klay Thompson and Steph Curry going
against Mahomes and Kelsey like that tired, worn out event
that we do every single offseason. Seemingly. If that's the case,
why can't we line up these three guys do one
hundred meters two hundred meters? We want to do a

(17:56):
one point fifty line it up? That gets some.

Speaker 3 (17:58):
Stons, yeah, to do it?

Speaker 1 (18:00):
So why not do it now? Like with all the
gimmicky stuff that's on television, this is something I think
a lot of people would be into.

Speaker 5 (18:08):
Yeah, But I mean, how do you build an event
around just them sprinting in them racing?

Speaker 1 (18:16):
It's the same thing in the Olympics a lot of.

Speaker 3 (18:19):
You mean, there's a lot more going on than just
that that race.

Speaker 1 (18:23):
All right, so we'll do some bench press competitions. Who
you got Larry Allen versus anybody of the modern era?

Speaker 3 (18:29):
All right?

Speaker 1 (18:29):
Throw Larry Allen out there and let's just let's see
who's going to line up and throw some I don't.

Speaker 3 (18:34):
Think that format would really work.

Speaker 1 (18:36):
You don't think so?

Speaker 5 (18:37):
No?

Speaker 1 (18:37):
All right? So what events would you need in order
to turn this into like an hour long television show
or like a streaming show they throw it on Netflix
or YouTube or something like that. What other events would
you like to see other than these guys sprinting, which
would be the main event.

Speaker 5 (18:53):
You know, I think if we're talking main event, you
could do fastest man. I think that, But I mean,
just what other events would you have? Like I competed
in the Superstars Challenge when I was in the league
where you go up against athletes, superior athletes from other sports.

Speaker 3 (19:12):
I ended up losing the Body Miller. I came in second.

Speaker 5 (19:15):
Oh really, because I'm afraid of heights, so I couldn't
scale the wall. Body ran over the wall with track
spikes spikes on. I was too afraid, so that got
me behind on the obstacle course. But I thought it
was interesting seeing us competing different things. Like you would
have thought that Tony Gonzalez would have won the basketball competition.

(19:41):
I think I won that competition. I won one hundred meters,
so I beat all the fast guys and one hundred meters.

Speaker 1 (19:48):
Did you really?

Speaker 3 (19:49):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (19:49):
Who are you racing against?

Speaker 3 (19:51):
Like Curtis Martin, Troy Brown, Apollo and.

Speaker 1 (19:55):
Lee Can we fact check this. Please a little bit
of research here, see whether or not a levars in
yarns here and and telling tales of the air.

Speaker 3 (20:03):
That's how.

Speaker 5 (20:03):
That's actually how I met Gus Johnson the first time
because he was he was calling the uh he was
m seeing the event, so or you know, the lead,
the league guy calling the event, the host.

Speaker 1 (20:16):
There we go see you won one hundred meters and
the basketball competition.

Speaker 5 (20:19):
Yeah, and the weight lifting competition I almost won. I
almost won, but Body Miller won the whole thing. It
came down to me and him going head to head
on the on the obstacle course and he went up
like we were sitting on the bus and and we
were like, you know, we gotta do the obstacle course today.

(20:39):
Body's sitting there and he's like, yeah, I think I'm
gonna wear these and they were like track cleats. I
was like, dude, you're going to break your freaking ankle.
He's like, yeah, but I think I'll go over the
wall quicker.

Speaker 1 (20:55):
That's a great idea actually, And.

Speaker 3 (20:58):
He went up over that bitch. He went up over that.

Speaker 5 (21:01):
I mean he looked he was I was defeated because
I was just like my feet was like on the wall,
like like you know how your feet go really really
really fast because they're sliding. So I'm pulling myself up
the wall, sliding and pulling myself up the wall, sliding,
pulling myself up the wall, sliding.

Speaker 3 (21:19):
Body been gone, been gone, Like he's been gone.

Speaker 1 (21:23):
He's got like rock climber shoes.

Speaker 3 (21:25):
He was out of there.

Speaker 5 (21:26):
Bro I wasn't even it brought you mean like ice ice,
rock climbing boots. Like he stuck his foot into the
wall and pushed himself up to the top of the
wall and went right.

Speaker 3 (21:38):
Over the wall.

Speaker 1 (21:39):
Yeah, but did you tell him like twenty feet Did
you tell him beforehand that you were afraid of heights?

Speaker 5 (21:44):
No, but I did tell him he was going to
break his ankle, And that was very much in my mind.
I'm not tearing, no acls, no MCLs, no breaking, no
breakage of the foot or the ankle. Was like it
was a twenty foot drop, twenty foot drop. To this day,
I still don't know. You want to know how important

(22:06):
money is, I don't know how to this day, I
got over that wall and dropped, like I let go
and dropped to come down that wall.

Speaker 1 (22:15):
So you didn't land on your feet.

Speaker 5 (22:17):
Oh of course I did, but I was so motivated
to try to win that I actually dropped from a
twenty foot wall.

Speaker 1 (22:25):
Now what point in your career is this?

Speaker 5 (22:29):
I was a Superstar, I mean it was Superstars Challenge,
so it would have probably been New year three maybe.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
Lead Do we have an update on two or three?
Just some of these claims by lebar Arrington that we're
going to fact check and see it was year two
thousand and two, And do we have any other details
on the event?

Speaker 3 (22:50):
Bot? I mean body Miller won.

Speaker 9 (22:51):
Bdy Miller did beat out three fellow Olympians of champion
boxer and six NFL stars.

Speaker 4 (22:58):
I think I see Tony in there, Tony Gonzalez.

Speaker 1 (23:03):
And then was there? Now we're the other people that LeVar, but.

Speaker 9 (23:06):
You know Curtis Martin's there, Brown.

Speaker 3 (23:11):
Moseley.

Speaker 5 (23:12):
There was a sugar saying Moseley was there. There was
another Moseley that did bones or whatever?

Speaker 4 (23:18):
Is that Jeff Garcia? That is Jeff Garcia was there? Wait,
this is O two Shane Moseley.

Speaker 1 (23:27):
Okay, I would much rather watch that than this dumb
golf tournament they put on every year with with with
athletes pretending like they're playing, you know, on the PGA tour,
Like I would rather watch that. And if you could
line up Devin Allen versus Tyreek Hill and DK Metcalf
in the main event, you could do a bench press competition.

(23:48):
You could bring in some Major League Baseball pitchers versus
NFL quarterbacks, see who throws the hardest. You could I mean,
there's just there's so many options here this could be presented,
and especially during the summer months, I feel like this
is something a lot of people could rally around, like
this would be funny. Remember when Mayweather fought McGregor and
nobody thought Connor McGregor actually had a chance, But that

(24:09):
was during the summertime and there was some build up
they had the press conferences. I feel like you could
do that with this and people would actually be interested
in it. And instead we roll out garbage after garbage,
followed by the SPS, which is just more garbage. There's
opportunities here. I think we got to get behind it.
Devin Allen, Tyreek Hill, Dk Metcalf, I'm all in on it.

Speaker 5 (24:32):
I definitely would be interested in seeing like the fastest
dudes race one hundred percent one hundred percent.

Speaker 3 (24:38):
I would be interested in that.

Speaker 1 (24:39):
Long you can make it the longest pass competition as
well too, which cornerbacks, crows at the furthest corny. Well,
you wouldn't want to see Josh Allen versus Patrick Mahomes.
Give them, give him like an old school nerve turbo,
see if they can throw at four hundred yards. No,
that'd be fun. No, Well, listen, we're trying to come
up with options here. That's what we're doing on this show.

(25:00):
And the best part is is right after these guys
are running, if they work up a sweat and they
smell terrible. Yeah, Irish spring. Yeah, just the fresh center
of that Irish spring and those sensational Irish Spring sudgs
are just the reset you need to own the day
Irish spring. When the spring hits you. You're ready pick
up Irish Spring at your local retailer today. All right.

Speaker 3 (25:19):
So coming up from that, they used to make Irish Spring.

Speaker 1 (25:22):
Where's that Ireland great point? That's a great point, you know,
not Dublin, Ohio, Dublin Ireland, as they say. All right,
so we are going to have another edition of You
and You out coming up here shortly on Fox Sports Radio.
But for all the latest from around the world of sports.
He's our fastest man. He's Eddie Garcia.

Speaker 6 (25:43):
Were going to have a race later on, now are you?

Speaker 1 (25:46):
Would you be in on that, Eddie, like a skills commentation.

Speaker 6 (25:48):
Oh, I thought you meant me running now My running
days are done unless there's you know, just running from
my life.

Speaker 1 (25:54):
But I mean, like, is there Like would you remember
they used to do the Quarterback Challenge where they get
all the quarterbacks and they'd be wearing the zubas and
they'd be they'd be throwing around like the ball, like
the tip of the football had blue chalk on it,
moving target. I remember that if you line this up
and you had like a fastest man who could throw
at the farthest, like just sort of an NFL All

(26:17):
Star Superstar challenge like LeVar.

Speaker 5 (26:19):
I'd be interested in seeing like a tug of war
with the strongest dudes like Willie Rofe on one side.
Oh yeah, you know Larry Allen on the other side.
You know, just like the strongest dudes in the league.
See him arm wrestle. I watched that.

Speaker 1 (26:35):
Would you watch that over the match with these you know,
other guys and other sports playing golf because I would over.

Speaker 6 (26:43):
If I had to choose between those two. Yeah, absolutely, yeah, yeah.
I have no interest in seeing any other athletes trying
to play golf. I don't have any interest in watching
golfers playing golf.

Speaker 3 (26:55):
There is.

Speaker 1 (26:56):
Yeah, you know you're gonna piss off Dan Byer when
you see him in a little bit. I know, No,
you gotta be careful.

Speaker 6 (27:01):
Hopefully he's not listening. Let's check it on some Major
League Baseball games.

Speaker 3 (27:05):
I know.

Speaker 6 (27:05):
We had the Braves who had their nine game winning
streak snapped the night before, bounce right back with an
eight to one win over the Guardians, and now they're
a major league best fifty eight and twenty eight on
the season. Twin shutout the Royals five to nothing. Minnesota
gets the three game series sweep thanks to starter Pablo
Lopez complete game four h'ad shutout twelve strikeouts. Minnesota now
with a two game lead on Cleveland for the top

(27:25):
spot in the AL Central. Diamondbacks lose to the Mets
two to one, New York, scoring two in the ninth
to pull off the victreaming, while the Dodgers beat the
Pirate six to four. So LA is now a game
in a back of Arizona in the Racer first in
the NL West, Reds over the Nationals nine to two.
The Brewers lose to the Cubs four to three, Chicago
with three in the ninth to get the win, and
Cincinnati now with the two game lead on Milwaukee atop.

(27:46):
The NL Central Rangers lose to the Red Sox four
to two. Astros wrap up but three games sweep of
the Rockies with a six to four win. Jarno Diez
hit a couple of homers for Houston as well as
they moved two back of Texas for the top spot
on the AL West. Phillies won their eleven straight road game,
beating the top team in the American League, the Rays
eight for the final. That's four straight losses now for
Tampa Bay. Tywan Walker, the starter for Philadelphia, gets his

(28:07):
tenth win of the year. Pottery's get their first three
game sweep of the season with a five to three
win over the Angels. News for the Angels and not
good news. Mike Trout surgery had a broken wrist out
four to eight weeks and show Aotani, their star pitcher,
had a blister on his finger, left to start the
other day, and he's not going to pitch in the
All Star Game. Orioles beat the Yankees sixty three. It
was the Marlins walking off with a ten to nine

(28:28):
to one of the Cardinals. When the Cardinals pitcher had
a little comebacker thrown to him, he instead of throwing
it at the first pace, threw it into right field
and two runs scored. And that was the game for Miami.
NBA news the Maverick, Celtics and Spurs part of a
three team deal that will ascend restricted free agent Grant
Williams to Dallas where he's going to sign a four
year deal where fifty three million. San Antonio gets Reggie

(28:49):
Bullock in an unprotected first round pick in twenty thirty
from Dallas, and Dallas gets a couple of second round picks.
Now back to LaVar Arrington and Jonas knocks in at
tirerack dot Com, Fox Sports Radio Studios.

Speaker 1 (28:59):
And that guy at the Yankees game, the cameraman who, yeah,
err errant throw it at first.

Speaker 6 (29:04):
Took him off on a cart.

Speaker 1 (29:06):
Yeah, I think, yeah, I think he got stretcher it
out of there. Because you're hitting the head with the baseball,
you know, I gotta be honest with you. I mean,
I hope he's okay. That's that's that's nice of Yeah,
but I want to say that to say this, dude,
you're you're working the camera. You can't tell that ball's
coming at you like that. I mean, like like of
anybody that should be ducking, it feels like you should

(29:27):
be the one to duck. You've got the you've got
the best view of everything. You are zoomed in, you're
watching the entire play and you can't get down in time.
But with the rawlings coming at your face, just feels like.

Speaker 6 (29:39):
I'm guessing the ball was so badly thrown it was
kind of out.

Speaker 1 (29:43):
Of his camera's coming here. Yeah, it could have been
one of those. But again, we hope he's okay.

Speaker 6 (29:52):
You know you did give the he didn't. It wasn't
the thumbs up there you have the peace sign.

Speaker 1 (29:56):
Yeah, I think he did the Hawaiian hang.

Speaker 6 (29:59):
Loose to my buddy always would say, you know that
when the players always give the thumbs up and they're
doing it for their families, LaVar, you know, they're trying
to let their families know they're okay. But yeah, he
was always wishing somebody would give the thumbs down right.
Oh man, I'm messed up. Yeah, really bad here.

Speaker 1 (30:17):
Yeah, this is not going well. This could be a
problem moving forward. So so there that goes. Thank you Eddie,
Eddie Garcia with us here on thanks By Radio. All right,
so we're going to put a bow on this bad boy.
It's another edition of You In or You Out, literally
and it's yours next here on Fso.

Two pros in a cup of show what you to
know there?

Speaker 3 (32:27):
Please?

Speaker 1 (32:28):
Or hit?

Speaker 3 (32:29):
They're out?

Speaker 1 (32:30):
All right?

Speaker 7 (32:30):
Lead the lap?

Speaker 1 (32:30):
What do we got guys?

Speaker 9 (32:31):
Earlier I had inadvertently thrown Sacramento under the bus. But
I do gotta, I got, I gotta bring this up.
It's also Salt Lake City Summer League today, Day three
at Salt Lake City Summer League. So I know we're
in on Las Vegas Summer League, but you in on
Salt Lake City.

Speaker 1 (32:47):
You know, I think, I am. It looks beautiful.

Speaker 4 (32:50):
It is just like, have you been there?

Speaker 3 (32:52):
League?

Speaker 8 (32:52):
I have?

Speaker 3 (32:53):
I have to.

Speaker 1 (32:54):
Can you get any of the liverloop boy? You're out there?

Speaker 9 (32:57):
No you can, but it's like either three point five
percent or four percent? And I don't know if necessarily
in Salt Lake City, but I did get one at
a gas station outside of Salt Lake City.

Speaker 1 (33:05):
God man, got an eighteen rack. You get an eighteen rack?

Speaker 3 (33:09):
You could get more partner there too.

Speaker 1 (33:11):
Maybe yes you can, and it's okay. A couple of
throat burners and next thing you know, you're you're looking around.
You got one on each arm. Uh yeah, I would
go that Salt Lakes. It looks just so you see
the mountains, like all the snow capped mountains and all
that just most beautiful out there.

Speaker 3 (33:30):
Yeah, good job, A good job. Guys.

Speaker 9 (33:33):
We had talked about, you know, ways we'd like to
see NFL athletes compete. I was thinking about this. You
know Bear Grillis. I survived Bear Grillis. We could watch
them compete in that. Or you guys enter out on
Bear Grillis.

Speaker 3 (33:45):
What is that?

Speaker 4 (33:46):
He's like a survivalist.

Speaker 9 (33:47):
You go and you know, you eat bugs, you do
super you know outdoorsy stuff.

Speaker 3 (33:53):
Yeah, no, I'm out on that.

Speaker 1 (33:54):
Yeah. By the way, I love these people. It's like survivor.
They talk about all we're whi's outdoor You've got to
survive and so you mean like none of the camera
crew or having like a ham sandwich.

Speaker 5 (34:06):
While this guy's in the wow right, like naked and afraid,
Like look at all this production.

Speaker 1 (34:11):
Yeah, what are they doing? Like I gotta eat bugs
off somebody's back because the people on set are doing
it Like no.

Speaker 5 (34:17):
Man, are you're sitting there looking at them? Go to
their break tents? Well, how y'all still out there naked
in a freight.

Speaker 1 (34:22):
I can't get it to I can't get a TV
dinner at least like I gotta. I gotta eat and
wear it like everybody else is doing it. I just
know something.

Speaker 4 (34:30):
I saw something behind the scenes.

Speaker 9 (34:32):
And I always figured it would be like a cameraman,
a director, producer, like a pretty small crew. No, it's
like at least twenty thirty people behind that camera.

Speaker 1 (34:40):
Well, I'm sure you gotta have a medic there, because
you know, if something happens.

Speaker 5 (34:45):
Then in the creator of the show get bit by
by like a poisonous snake for naked and Afrey. I
think he did, probably.

Speaker 3 (34:56):
Like he'd like it. Jacked him up pretty good too, I.

Speaker 1 (35:00):
Mean listening the guy who you know, was it Robert Greco,
the guy who was the host of Cheaters. He got stabbed. Yeah,
although I heard I heard it that might have been staged,
that it could have been a stage jack. But it
looked like he got the shiv. Looked like he got
he got stuck with with one in the ribs. So

(35:21):
this dangerous stuff out there shooting these TV shows. Apparently, Lee,
you would know you're mister Hollywood.

Speaker 4 (35:28):
Yeah, reality is not my thing.

Speaker 3 (35:29):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (35:30):
Okay, what else we got?

Speaker 9 (35:31):
American Ninja Warrior. Would you like to see them compete
in American Ninja Worry? Are you in or out on
the show?

Speaker 4 (35:36):
American Ninja Warrior out?

Speaker 3 (35:38):
I'm in on the show. Who who? Who would be competing?

Speaker 4 (35:42):
NFL athletes, Yeah, I.

Speaker 3 (35:45):
Would be in on that. I was thinking.

Speaker 5 (35:47):
I just was watching the whole American Gladiator Little Seas.
It's pretty It's pretty entertaining because I was a big
fan of the show, so it was pretty interesting to see,
you know what, what people's different perspectives on that that time.

Speaker 1 (36:04):
It was that on Netflix.

Speaker 3 (36:05):
It's on Netflix.

Speaker 1 (36:06):
Okay, so somebody said they were making pennies.

Speaker 5 (36:10):
Yeah, they weren't making any more, Oh my god. And
they were out there getting laced and.

Speaker 1 (36:15):
They were getting legitimately injured, right.

Speaker 5 (36:17):
Yes, and like they get injured and have to just
leave and there was like nothing like they signed waivers.

Speaker 9 (36:24):
A friend of mine, Shane Horton, is dad was Gemini
of the American Gladiator. Him and Wes Horton both football player. Well,
Wes Horton plays for the Panthers. Yeah, a couple of
football players. NFL players.

Speaker 1 (36:36):
So what did his dad make?

Speaker 3 (36:38):
I did?

Speaker 4 (36:39):
I haven't asked him that, but he has been making.

Speaker 5 (36:41):
A whole lot of money. He's the original gladiator. Actually yeah,
and I is.

Speaker 4 (36:47):
Forting. Uh Okay, would you rather how about medieval fighting?

Speaker 9 (36:51):
I think I've shown you guys videos of this where
like guys get in the ring with like battle axes
and maces and stuff like that with a full body armor.

Speaker 1 (36:58):
Are they real battle axe as though I think they are.
I mean, I mean, how's that gonna go on? We
can't trust any of these deal weeds with fireworks every
year because somebody catches a boat on fire. There's like
another video out and we trust that these guys are
are going to have a battle axe and not seriously

(37:19):
injure each other.

Speaker 3 (37:21):
Isn't the point to injure each other if you're using weapons?

Speaker 5 (37:25):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (37:25):
But then why even wear any any.

Speaker 5 (37:27):
Armor because that's what they used to wear to get
the full effect of this ass whipping.

Speaker 1 (37:35):
It just seems like a terrible idea. I don't know,
like the guys.

Speaker 3 (37:40):
I kind of like it, then I kind of like it.

Speaker 1 (37:45):
I don't know. I'm thinking I'm out on that.

Speaker 5 (37:48):
I'm going I'm sad somebody's head. I kind of like it, but.

Speaker 1 (37:53):
No, a battle axe does it have an axe on
both sides? Or is there a blunt side on the
back end and then it's got the app just facing
on the opposite side, or is it does it have
two axes on either side of the stick?

Speaker 4 (38:06):
Your call? You do spears?

Speaker 1 (38:09):
Jesus man? And this is a real like what armor
is going to stop you from a battle axe wound?
I don't know. Like people throw around axes way too recklessly,
Like you can go throw axes and drink at bars.
Why is that a good idea? Like the axe could
bounce back off the board and hit somebody behind you. Yeah,

(38:33):
none of this stuff seems like a good idea.

Speaker 3 (38:35):
Yeah, you sound way too conservative, nervous.

Speaker 1 (38:38):
What else do we have? Lee?

Speaker 9 (38:39):
Happy birthdays are due for mister Zion Williamson turns twenty three?

Speaker 1 (38:43):
Yeah, what up?

Speaker 4 (38:45):
Fifty turns forty eight?

Speaker 3 (38:47):
Nice?

Speaker 9 (38:48):
Sylvester Stallone's seventy seven? Oh, Kevin Hart forty four?

Speaker 1 (38:52):
Oh wow, Sylvester Stallone's seventy seven years old? Right and
still jacked?

Speaker 4 (38:58):
Hiject?

Speaker 1 (38:59):
What's your face? Favorite Sylvester Stallone movie? If you had
to pick one, what would you do, Rocky?

Speaker 3 (39:08):
That's probably Cobra. Okay, it might be Judge Dreid.

Speaker 1 (39:15):
That movies thinks, you know, you know the one I
might I might pick with Sylvester Stallone and he's not
the star in Copland. Copland's a great cliffhanger. Yeah, there's
cliffhanger too. What's another good Stallone movie? Lee? O Oh yeah,
Rambo two. I didn't see the new I heard is

(39:39):
very violent.

Speaker 4 (39:40):
Oh they get more violent every time.

Speaker 3 (39:41):
Yeah, good ram Bone.

Speaker 1 (39:43):
Happy birthday, Sly.
