Speaker 1 (00:00):
You are listening to the Dan Patrick Show on Fox
Sports Radio.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
It's a Dan Patrick Show here on Fox Sports Radio.
LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox in for DP and
the guys. Now, we normally are on three hours earlier
than this, every single Monday through Friday on two Pros
and a Cup of Joe. And you know, normally during
that time slot we joke that there's not a lot
of live sporting events going on, sometimes not a lot
(00:27):
of breaking news. But you know, on this one, we've
got the Masters that's happening. And then we also had
the breaking news that came out a short time ago
that OJ Simpson died. So nothing like getting that thrown
in your lap as you're doing a live radio show,
but that is the report, that is the breaking news.
OJ Simpson has died at the age of seventy six.
(00:48):
So you know, do with that what you will. I'm
sure many people have already. So there's that, and then
there's also this as we venture away from the morbid
conversation over to a little bit disappointing for many people
out there at BBN, which is Big Blue Nation. Gotta
be careful when I give out that acronym. But the
point is Scott Drew, the longtime Baylor head coach, according
(01:13):
to Jeff Goodman, is going to go ahead and pass
on the opportunity to be the Kentucky head coach. So
that would leave the nether names that we've heard out
there and Brady Quinn. That means that there's still hope
for the big time hire at Kentucky. That could change
the game as far as rivalries go in the SEC,
there's still hope. If it's not Scott Drew.
Speaker 3 (01:35):
Chip Gains won YEP Chip Games, the big Baylor alum
obviously from Chip and Joanna who basically own Waco Awesome People,
but they went out in the battle a battle for
Scott Drew. But I also wonder too, I mean, if
you're the coach and typically how this works out, you
(01:56):
wouldn't want it to get out that you had spoken
to the team and you weren't their first choice and
it didn't work out like this is you know again,
I'm not, I guess questioning whether or not it's true,
But if you're in Scott Drew's position, and let's say,
for example, you would have some conversations you heard that
maybe they you know they want Dan Hurley, they want
(02:17):
Billy Donovan. You're not the number one choice, and but
you've had enough conversations with them to have a sense
for Hey, maybe we want to have one last ditch
effort at getting Dan Hurley, which it sounds like from
people that I've spoken to around the situation, there is
a plane tracking towards towards the East coast that is
trying to make one last plea for Dan Hurley. So
(02:39):
whether or not that came as a result of Scott
Drew turning it down, or that became maybe the more
the priority that they wanted to exhaust all efforts of
getting Dan Hurley before going the direction.
Speaker 4 (02:52):
Of Scott Drew.
Speaker 3 (02:53):
If that was the case, you'd probably want to make
sure you get your message out there first. Note, it's
not that they didn't offer me, it's that I turned
in doubt that's gonna that's gonna be much better received
by your fan base if that's the case. Uh, because
then you're gonna be going into a situation where they're
looking at you going, well, you were trying to leave
for the Kentucky job. They just didn't want you. So
(03:13):
I also think this is a portion of maybe them
getting it out there first before really we're here the
whole story. I would just caution people to be careful.
What's always out there first?
Speaker 2 (03:24):
Is that alluding to the OJ news that maybe that's
not true? Or is that are you tying that together?
Speaker 3 (03:30):
I was no, I was specifically talking about the Baylor
Kentucky Scott Drew basketball scenario. Just make I just wanted
to zero to do with with OJ Simpson, Okay, just
was wondering.
Speaker 2 (03:42):
Now. I mean, you know, there's a guy at Saint
John's who you threw his name out there. So I
feel like every time somebody turns this job down, whether
or not they turned it down or they want to
get it out to their fan base that they turned
it down, that uh yeah, there is the potential that
Rick Patino could be back. You know, what does Rick
Patino have to do it, Jay Simpsons? You know, I
(04:03):
mean nothing.
Speaker 3 (04:04):
You know, you know I said earlier in the week
it would be my dream to have Rick Patino come
back and be head coach for Kentucky. And the only
reason I say that is because of the last time
he was there. First off, he had success, but let's
not forget he left to go to the NBA. I
mean I realized when he came back he went to Louisville.
That is one of the biggest rivalries in college basketball,
(04:27):
you know, Kentucky Louisville.
Speaker 4 (04:29):
So that upset clearly some fans there in Lexington.
Speaker 3 (04:32):
But I would love to see a world where he
puts on that white suit that he wore for Saint
John's this year and he walks right back into rapp
Arena as the savior. I would love to see that
and him bring back Kentucky basketball to the glory that
he once was able to demonstrate there in Lexington. In
(04:52):
Louisville too.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
Yeah, the white suits is kind of staple.
Speaker 3 (04:58):
Yeah, I thought they I had like a specific uh
night or day or something that they were doing there
in Saint John's this year.
Speaker 2 (05:04):
Now, I would ask you this, does it help that
when he left Kentucky he went to the NBA and
then went to Louisville afterwards, you know, like Nick Saban
was that l s U left, went to the NFL,
then came back to Alabama. Like, does that like lessen
the sting a little bit for Kentucky fans that it
wasn't a direct move, you.
Speaker 3 (05:21):
Know, like some of my friends who are a lums
that apparently were I saw when he was last there.
Speaker 4 (05:27):
U no would be the answer.
Speaker 3 (05:28):
Okay, he was not well received the last time he
stepped foot uh in rapp arena. Yeah, they have been
some birds being flashed, if you know.
Speaker 5 (05:36):
What I mean.
Speaker 2 (05:37):
Yeah, well, yeah, flying flying those birds you think?
Speaker 5 (05:42):
I mean, So, would would Rick Patino be well received
if he came back? Do you think he would be
given another opportunity?
Speaker 4 (05:49):
I personally think Saint John's.
Speaker 3 (05:53):
I think, given what he did in the past, I
think people would be really, I mean, the only question
you have is his age. He's seventy one years old,
I believe, but he might be the youngest acting seventy
one year old I've ever ever been around. I Mean,
there's not many that have as much energy and juice
like like Rick Patina.
Speaker 6 (06:12):
Appropriate too soon?
Speaker 5 (06:16):
Is it too soon? Hey?
Speaker 2 (06:17):
Look, I've always said this about Rick Patino. If the
white suit fits, you must wear it.
Speaker 5 (06:23):
Oh.
Speaker 2 (06:24):
I mean, if we're talking, I mean, if we're talking
about college basketball and the great Rick Patino that I
just think that that would be the appropriate landing spot
for him to go ahead and tie everything together.
Speaker 5 (06:36):
So you're saying he's got the juice and we'll go
back to Kentucky and kill it. Kill it.
Speaker 2 (06:43):
As a coach, I'm not quite sure, to be honest
with you.
Speaker 5 (06:47):
Well, how well, Well, isn't that why you would want
him to come back? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (06:51):
I mean not not literally, though I.
Speaker 5 (06:54):
Would say no.
Speaker 3 (06:55):
I mean that's a question, is does any stranglehold oh
Man basketball coaching?
Speaker 5 (07:02):
I mean, did you say he runs picking rolls and
cut to the rim or is it? Is it a
you know, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (07:13):
I do see a lot of back cuts. Do you
see at in their offense?
Speaker 5 (07:17):
Yeah, I see a lot of back cuts.
Speaker 2 (07:19):
I mean a lot of driving to the lane. And
if you're going to drive on the road, use tire

Speaker 5 (07:38):
I know that there are a lot of traffic when
you're driving down the lane.
Speaker 2 (07:44):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (07:47):
What's roll with you?
Speaker 2 (07:48):
What's wrong with you? Talking about what.
Speaker 5 (07:53):
I'll take anything seriously. What do you mean people that
have been impacted about is breaking news and you're you're
over here joking.
Speaker 2 (07:59):
Yeah, he is. Fantasy Football League's gonna find a new guy.
Speaker 5 (08:02):
I mean, of course, what is Cameron and Mason bether
going to do now with their show? I mean, one
of their main guests. I'm wonder analysts.
Speaker 2 (08:11):
Can I ask you guys about motivation? Oh, by the way,
to pay off the teas, Northwestern is going to be
playing games football games at their practice facility. They're gonna
add some seats and play there as opposed to going
to Soldier Field because they're redoing Ryan Field.
Speaker 5 (08:24):
Are you serious?
Speaker 2 (08:25):
Yeah, so they're going to play the practice stadium, So
got to pay off that tease.
Speaker 5 (08:29):
Are you being serious? Yeah? How many seats?
Speaker 4 (08:31):
I don't know as yeah, maybe I haven't seen an
official number yet. We were talking to the break. I
think when Hawaii.
Speaker 3 (08:40):
Decided to do this, they expanded by like fifty five
hundred seats to around nine thousand. Oh my, which could
you imagine being some of those players out of that game?
Speaker 5 (08:52):
Well, go walk in that stadium. This is enough for me.
I'm in town football.
Speaker 3 (09:00):
I think that's The problem is the issue becomes for
in a world where you have a transfer portal, these
players might be like, dude, what is this Like, this
is what I'm playing in front of my senior year,
my last year's of eligibility. You know, not that Ryan
Field was that enticing to them initially. Anyone who's been
to Ryan Field incredibly old, you know, historic though, and
(09:22):
kind of neat. I mean, it's it's beautiful for what
it is, and it's not like Northwestern football has really
been packing it in. But that being said, it's still
even a downgrade from there. So you're gonna have you know,
you're gonna struggle recruiting, and I know you have the
pitch of what's to come in the future, but that
doesn't help the here and now. I think the one
saving grace for Northwestern is the majority of the student
(09:44):
athletes who go there, in particular for football, I think
are going there for the degree and the football, and
so I'm not sure it's it's gonna be that big
of a difference it. Hopefully they can create a structure
where it you know, it doesn't provide an intimidating atmosphere,
but at least something that is a little more.
Speaker 4 (10:01):
You know, I don't know cool.
Speaker 3 (10:02):
Or unique, but imagine Ohio State going there, imagine Wisconsin
going there, some of these these bigger UH fan bases
and alumni groups. I mean, I don't care how many
people in the stadium, it's gonna be a majority of
Ohio State or Wisconsin fans. And maybe that's usually the
case for Northwestern, but you knew this was coming. If
you're a Northwestern why not going to like a deal
(10:23):
with Soldier Field or in Chicago?
Speaker 5 (10:26):
Why would you have the majority of the other team there?
There's only seven thousand seats, Like, what if you can't
If you can't have a purple out with seven thousand seats,
you shouldn't. You shouldn't have a team in the Big ten.
But if they can't sell out and not have every seat,
that hey, mom, that y'all can't come to this gang.
There's no tickets for you. It's forever. It's heck, just
(10:49):
the families alone take up that amount of people that's
gonna be in the in the stadium.
Speaker 3 (10:54):
The one thing I think you're put out factory in
for too is like those people who do have access
to this ticket, a lot of it reselling them, especially
when you get a lot of money for and if.
Speaker 5 (11:03):
They resell a stadium seat of seven to eight thousand
or whatever it is that it's going to be and
you see other other schools people in there. Get rid
of them. They gotta go seven thousand, eight thousand people,
y'all can't come support that team. Yeah, and his major
(11:24):
big ten.
Speaker 2 (11:25):
No, those tickets are they gotta go? Tickets a would
be more expensive because there's less seats. No way they're
gonna make it. They're gonna make a pretty penny.
Speaker 5 (11:31):
You think, so, Yeah, like to raise the prices. They're
not relevant team.
Speaker 2 (11:36):
When the Chargers played at the Soccer Stadium, ticket prices
for those games were much higher than a normal game
because there was less seats. So no sense just there's
less seats, there's less available options.
Speaker 5 (11:48):
That's kind of how it works with you know, economics.
Speaker 3 (11:50):
So there could be a little bit of that, but
I'm not sure many people are gonna be excited.
Speaker 2 (11:55):
I mean, listen, they should like send them to Soldier Field.
Speaker 5 (11:59):
You're gonna have a line outside. You're trying to get
into the Northwestern games.
Speaker 2 (12:04):
You could sell out, like you could sell out.
Speaker 5 (12:06):
I have a DJ play music.
Speaker 4 (12:09):
Hey would you?
Speaker 2 (12:10):
Would you say so?
Speaker 5 (12:11):
Feel like it's a club kind of you create, you
create the Roxbury.
Speaker 2 (12:17):
Do you think part of the concern is that because
the turf that you guys have talked about it is
a soldier field turf, Like, do you think the turf
would get so banged up from one game and wouldn't
be ready to day but the day after?
Speaker 4 (12:28):
That's not it? Honestly, I don't think that's it.
Speaker 3 (12:32):
I mean you could probably work around that too if
you wanted to, but I don't think that would be
as big of an issue. But it's just again, it's
sad only because you've had this amount of time to
figure out a better solution and this is what you've
come up with. I mean, this is Northwestern, and again
I understand you want to put every resource possible into
the new stadium, but man, that is going to be
(12:54):
a tough couple of years to go through it. And
this is also a team that with everything that went
on prior to this past season, and David Brown has
done a hell of a job as their head coach.
I mean, look, they won four of their last their.
Speaker 4 (13:07):
Last four games just to get to AID and five
last year.
Speaker 3 (13:09):
It's actually pretty remarkable to see the way they turned
kind of things around and pushed off all the stuff
that was happening off the field when Pat Fitzgerald was
there and you know what was alleged was going on.
They find themselves now as a team that can kind
of contend, be a factor, maybe a spoiler if you will.
Speaker 4 (13:27):
But man, this is tough. This is just tough to
think of it.
Speaker 3 (13:30):
And if I'm not mistaken, I think their home crowds
tapped out somewhere around like twenty five thousand. You know
Penn State who went into town last year and drummed them.
Maybe that forty one to thirteen game LeVar that was
about twenty five thousand, So that's about the max of
what they were able to get.
Speaker 4 (13:49):
So maybe that's the other thought.
Speaker 3 (13:50):
Process behind this, is if we can get this thing
to ten or twelve thousand with temporary stands, it's not
going to feel that different from what we've been dealing
with anyone.
Speaker 2 (14:00):
When you consider that in what Ohio State does for
a spring game, it's like two different planets but they're
the same conference. It's like two different worlds.
Speaker 4 (14:10):
And look, the reality is that brings to light.
Speaker 3 (14:12):
In this world of conference realignment, you have some people
who are like, well, why should have Northwestern have equals,
say right to Ohio State or Penn State. Yes, or
they really bringing to the conference, bringing to the table.
Speaker 4 (14:25):
And I understand theres gonna be people who are upset
by that.
Speaker 5 (14:27):
Off with their heads. Oh yeah, oh godly damn. I
mean I didn't mean that. I meant like in sense of,
you know, they shouldn't be in the Big Ten conference
if they're not bringing any more value than that. That's
that's what I meant. Well, I have to be politically
correct right now?
Speaker 6 (14:48):
You do, yeh?
Speaker 2 (14:49):
By the way up for those of you again just
tuning in. OJ Simpson died at the age of seventy
six earlier after a battle with cancer. That is the
report out there. So that has been the breaking here
in the world of sports of the past. Uh we'll

Speaker 2 (16:39):
It's the Dan Patrick Show here on Fox Sports Radio.
LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you in for
DP and the guys. Coming up in a little over
twenty minutes from now, We're going to have another edition
of un To You out That is a special segment
that we do here on the show that we host
(16:59):
called Two Pros and a Cup of Joe Monday through Friday.
And basically our executive producer, lead To lap who dropped
a little bit of a a not a bombshell on us,
but drop something on us earlier that apparently he goes
shopping with Kat o'clin, which, all of a sudden is
the name that is relevant again because if you're just
tuning in, oj Simpson died earlier at the age of
(17:21):
seventy six from cancer. So that has been making the
rounds via the media, social media, news all over the
television wherever you look, wherever you hear. So we were
on the air when that came out earlier. Apparently lead
to Lap on kato'caalin who was featured and what was
his role in that? Was he like the chef or
was he like Lee your friends with this guy? What
(17:42):
did he do again?
Speaker 8 (17:42):
For Ojba, he was the house guest that lived in
the back house.
Speaker 2 (17:46):
Yeah, so he lived in the back house, so he Yeah,
so lead to lap In. Kato O'calin apparently shop at
Vonds together and sort of head not each other whenever
they run into each other. But the point is we're
going to have a special segment called You and You
Out and basically Lee's going to drop some stuff on us.
We don't know where this usually goes, but it's usually
(18:07):
very frustrating because Lee finds out that it's a special day.
It's somebody's day. It's like National dog food Day. It's
like National donut Day. It did you just nod your head?
Is it really National dog food Day?
Speaker 9 (18:21):
No?
Speaker 8 (18:21):
It's National uh pet your dog Day?
Speaker 6 (18:23):
Okay I was. I wasn't going to share that one.
Speaker 3 (18:26):
But you need a day we should be petting our
dogs every day for you dog owners, it's.
Speaker 2 (18:31):
The only day you can do that apparently and be
celebrated for It's like National Breathing Day. It's the one
day you're allowed to but apparently we will have more
of that.
Speaker 5 (18:42):
Enjoy breathing today, is it too? So? Is it to so?
I feel like everything we're going to say is going
to have some type of connectivity or a way to
relate it to what's going on. I mean, I'm just
going to not say anything. I just feel like this
is a show for me to just just let well.
Speaker 2 (19:00):
But like, how do you it is?
Speaker 5 (19:02):
I do feel sharp today, that extra three hours, I
got that extra sleep and then it's finally worn off.
The LeVar Islands elusive, you know. Yeah, yeah, I have
just bulletproof in some ways. Yeah yeah, kind of untouchable. Yeah, well,
(19:26):
you know many you know, I know what to say.
I have no great comeback for you. All I can
tell you is is that you know, well, you're good.
You're good. You know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (19:42):
You're like a runaway Bronco on a freeway, you know. Now,
do you want to point this out that.
Speaker 5 (19:52):
It couldn't be a Jaguarre Mercedes. I mean we're doing
dance show.
Speaker 2 (19:58):
Yeah, definitely, definite.
Speaker 5 (20:00):
I got you.
Speaker 2 (20:01):
By the way, the less your business spends, the more
margin you keep. Net Suite by Oracle brings accounting, finance,

(20:25):
This was on the I Can Fly podcast. Brady Quinn's
a big fan of these podcast names. Big fan. There
was the big podcast of Shack.
Speaker 3 (20:36):
It's not that I'm not a fan, it's just, you know, like,
what's the thought pross behind him? And here's the thing
is I get it is if you've gotten late into
the podcast game. Obviously, if someone else already has the title,
you can't take it. And there's a lot of people
who you know, remember people like squatting on websites.
Speaker 5 (20:51):
Oh yeah, it's kind.
Speaker 4 (20:52):
Of like what they've done now with somebody's podcast names.
Speaker 3 (20:55):
Like they'll have podcasts that are completely irrelevant, but if
you know, they want to sell it to someone or
they're like, no, you got to pick something else because
I'm doing my podcast even though it doesn't have as
many you know, listeners or subscribers as someone like Shack.
Speaker 2 (21:08):
It didn't somebody have to do that with the Washington name.
The Commanders.
Speaker 3 (21:12):
Yeah, yeah, they barked all cons and that they remember
like red Wolves is what they wanted. Then they realized
some guy was they already had it.
Speaker 5 (21:20):
Which why would you want to be the red Wolves anyway?
Speaker 3 (21:23):
I just all I remember about that is they started
talking about what the name was going to be, and
there was so much stuff about red Wolves that I
honestly stopped paying attention. I was like, Oh, there's gonna
name the team red Wolves. And then I come to
find out later on People Home it was like, no,
someone already had.
Speaker 5 (21:39):
That, yeah, and it was going to sell it. Like
they could have named the team the red Wolves. You're
just going pay that man for that name. It's not
a bad hustle. It could backfire on you, backfired on dude, dude,
Oden's name. That ain't got no value to it right now.
Speaker 2 (21:54):
I don't know even I feel like these bigger companies,
like anybody's got a price, so like they could just
do or have a workaround to try and get those
names back. You know, we want the red Wolves, We'll
get the red Wolves. But they decided to go with
the Commanders. Look, they should have kept the Washington football team.
It's a better name of the Commanders or Commando. It's
just not good, you know, yeah, definitely is. Well, here's
(22:19):
what I are.
Speaker 5 (22:20):
Pushing the envelope today. I'll tell you what you mean.
What you mean, why why they got to be the Commandos.
We're just trying to kill them softly, you know, tang
I mean, okay, all right, I mean, if the name
doesn't fit, you must have quit.
Speaker 2 (22:41):
That's a great point.
Speaker 5 (22:45):
I'm just saying that is a great point. God, you
guys are ruthless man.
Speaker 2 (22:50):
Well as we uh we transition smoothly from that over this.
On the I Can Fly Podcast Milk, Aaron Rodgers spoke
about the injury last year, four plays into his New
York Jets career and just the impact that it had
on him emotionally and what he was feeling at the
time was take a lesson.
Speaker 9 (23:10):
I was heartbroken on Spember eleventh in the locker room,
thinking my career might be over.
Speaker 5 (23:14):
And that's how I'm going to go out to one.
Speaker 9 (23:16):
Of the highest highest in my sporting career, running on
the field on nine to eleven with an American flag,
which I had never done in my life after all
the beauty in the summer and hard knocks and the
new team and just being in New Jersey and the
excitement talking on their amazing fan base and just feeling
just the energy and the momentum building. And then that
I look back now and so much changed in my life.
Speaker 4 (23:40):
For the better.
Speaker 9 (23:41):
And I often have a hard time with people who
say everything happens for a reason.
Speaker 6 (23:44):
Sometimes I call on that.
Speaker 9 (23:47):
Part of it is the ego wanting things to just
be a little bit easier sometimes. But just like so
many things had to happen for me to be sitting
right here today with the both of you, so much
changed in my life in the.
Speaker 5 (23:56):
Last six months.
Speaker 9 (23:57):
It would not have happened had I not been car
it off that field. But only in that has all
this beauty been able to happen.
Speaker 4 (24:04):
How can I not be brainfold?
Speaker 5 (24:07):
It was the music for me.
Speaker 3 (24:09):
Yeah, you could put that theme music under a fart
and it would be And that's going to be the
best part ever, think the most dramatic thing ever.
Speaker 5 (24:18):
Hey man, y'all better cut that out. Stop playing around, man,
let's stay on top of.
Speaker 2 (24:23):
Is it's awesome.
Speaker 5 (24:25):
He's super dope.
Speaker 2 (24:26):
Yeah he did the song on your mic was on
turn your mista.
Speaker 5 (24:41):
Cut his mic?
Speaker 4 (24:45):
Dang what you eat last night?
Speaker 5 (24:56):
You better check your bag?
Speaker 2 (25:00):
You don't Lee check your socks?
Speaker 5 (25:04):
Dang the vallid what I've ever heard?
Speaker 2 (25:11):
What's wrong with you?
Speaker 6 (25:12):
Lee?
Speaker 2 (25:20):
We're never going to be invited back. That was real,
at least clean the mic off?
Speaker 5 (25:28):
My god, what.
Speaker 4 (25:35):
Made was that real?
Speaker 2 (25:39):
Was that our lost was real?
Speaker 5 (25:43):
Wish was that real?
Speaker 2 (25:45):
Oh my gosh, oh man.
Speaker 6 (25:49):
Gosh.
Speaker 2 (25:51):
Well yeah, listen.
Speaker 5 (25:56):
We put the music to that part.
Speaker 2 (26:00):
I'm gonna say, what's more dramatic? That are the Master's
theme music? But that, I mean, that was very over
the top Rogers talking about his injury.
Speaker 3 (26:10):
Hans, you know, it's terrible about it is you start
talking about the Master's theme music. We talked about it earlier
in the week. How like it almost sounds like funeral music.
Speaker 2 (26:19):
Yeah, what are you getting at?
Speaker 3 (26:21):
Well, you know, oh no, yeah, I mean, I'm just
saying if that was the underbed.
Speaker 2 (26:31):
Like you know, I feel like, you know, we've you know,
we've been covering that that topic thoroughly, you know, every
angle possibly needed to cover the Oh no.
Speaker 3 (26:41):
No, you know he was one of only eight players
whoever won the Heisman Trophy and it was an a
p NFL MVP in the NFL.
Speaker 5 (26:50):
So think about that.
Speaker 2 (26:51):
Yeah, if you wonder why we're playing the funeral music, Yes,
O J. Simpson passed away. This is actually a funeral
for Lee's trousers are now being thrown away in the garbage.
Speaker 3 (27:02):
Nineteen seventy three NFL m VP. A five time first
team All Pro. Mm hmm, remember of both the Player
Pro and College Football Hall of Fames.
Speaker 2 (27:14):
What else about is by a bio? Do you have
like anything else in his resume?
Speaker 5 (27:19):
Got, Well, maybe you should cover that. Maybe you should
cover that.
Speaker 4 (27:22):
All the music stops.
Speaker 2 (27:23):
So, yeah, he was once a rent a Cars spokesman hurts, Yeah,
it was heard through the airports.
Speaker 5 (27:31):
Yeah, he also did the Naked Gun. I do believe
he did.
Speaker 2 (27:35):
Yeah, he did, he did, and I think he and.
Speaker 5 (27:40):
He was actually good.
Speaker 3 (27:42):
He was actually good in the movie Your Biscus saying
he was a good actor, which some people would.
Speaker 5 (27:47):
Say, I mean he was acting. Oh damn yeah, damn.
Oh man, that one caught me like I tripped over
that one. Yeah, you fell into that one. Hey, hey,
brouh that that's some that that was a good one, right, there.
Damn a good actor. God that he was good in
the movies. He was. Would we say that that was
(28:12):
the birth of reality television?
Speaker 2 (28:16):
Well, I mean it did involve a Kardashian.
Speaker 5 (28:19):
It did.
Speaker 2 (28:21):
Did I'm saying that Robert Kardashian.
Speaker 5 (28:24):
It did.
Speaker 4 (28:25):
I know you're going here, it did just where?
Speaker 2 (28:29):
I God, I just I'm not.
Speaker 4 (28:31):
Sure if really we're at least fart came into playing
all this.
Speaker 2 (28:34):
Oh well, I just figured you know what else? I mean,
I mean, what do you would you rather talk about?
Speaker 5 (28:38):
It came out of nowhere. That's why it's it's relevant
to this because the topic of the whole topic has
come out of nowhere. Everything has come out of nowhere.
Speaker 2 (28:47):
Just all right, First of all, like, don't blame us.
We're trying to place a clip of Aaron Rodgers talking
about being emotional after the injury, and they're playing some
Hans Zimmer song at such a level underneath him talking
that you can't even focus.
Speaker 5 (29:01):
On the words music, right, That's very true.
Speaker 2 (29:05):
It's like it's the same music they play at the
end of Inception where the top is spinning on the table.
It's like Rogers talking about blowing his achilles at MetLife Stadium.
Speaker 5 (29:12):
And they've got and pants open.
Speaker 3 (29:17):
Basically, I keep question whether or not it was real.
I guess if he played it again.
Speaker 5 (29:23):
We know, but I can't handle hair and that again,
like that that was so random. It might be the
funniest dip I've ever heard.
Speaker 2 (29:32):
You want to know if it was really? Just ask
Mike Lingard or the guy who runs the editing department
here to hose him down in the parking lot. Oh,
so you're wondering whether or not that was real.
Speaker 5 (29:42):
Poor Mike, Poor Mike, like.
Speaker 2 (29:46):
Pulp fiction where they're trying to clean brains and skull
under their hair.
Speaker 3 (29:50):
The other thing is, we like we know Lee well
enough to know that guy's stomach is like a garbage disposal.
He is not afraid of any type of cuisine, and
he will mix any cuisine, alcohol, whatever. And it does
not come out the other end very well.
Speaker 5 (30:06):
So you could not have time that any perfectly than
what it was, though, I mean, it just gotta be
the best ever. That's gotta be the best one ever.
Speaker 2 (30:18):
Like, it's just it's just this is one hell of
a eulogy. Well, this show, that's.
Speaker 5 (30:27):
It's stuck in my head. Guys, I keep hearing it
in my head.
Speaker 2 (30:35):
It's like it was yelling all the way.
Speaker 8 (30:36):
I gotta get out.
Speaker 5 (30:40):
It was so many things wrong with whoever did that
in real life. There's something they need. They needed help, man,
they needed they need his sisters medical assistance.
Speaker 2 (30:51):
And Joel, you gotta be ashamed of yourself.
Speaker 6 (30:53):
Man, by.
Speaker 5 (30:59):
Brady did because you requested it. You did request it,
but you kind of did.
Speaker 3 (31:05):
I just I said, like, you know, certain dramatic music
you can like play like any time anywhere, and it
like changes the entire vibe of whatever is going on
in particular.
Speaker 5 (31:16):
Yeah, there you go, there you go. That was the setup.
That's what happened the first time, you.
Speaker 2 (31:20):
Know, change the vibe of this show.
Speaker 6 (31:21):
I'll take you.
Speaker 5 (31:22):
That's how it shame about the first time. Here we are.
Speaker 2 (31:26):
Here we are, by the way, Lee's on Amazon right
now shopping for new studio chairs. For some reason, I
don't know why.
Speaker 5 (31:33):
That is.
Speaker 6 (31:36):
The new It gives new meaning to throw aways.
Speaker 2 (31:38):
Yeah, somebody spilled their you who on the floor over there?

Speaker 2 (34:03):
And got a pair of pair of cargo shorts out
of the back of his car.
Speaker 5 (34:07):
But that'll do Lee.
Speaker 2 (34:13):
What do we got here?
Speaker 6 (34:14):
Guys?
Speaker 10 (34:14):
I often uh ask you what kind of cocktails you
guys are into. We had a gin and tonic earlier
this week it was Gin and Tonic Day. Today's actually
ranch water Day, which is kind of my new drink.
Speaker 2 (34:25):
But what.
Speaker 4 (34:28):
Tequila drink?
Speaker 10 (34:29):
Yeah, if you're watching your calories, it's basically, uh tequila
and uh soda water.
Speaker 2 (34:36):
Okay, I can't you just have tequila?
Speaker 5 (34:39):
Why can't you just put ice in there with lime
and just let it melt.
Speaker 6 (34:42):
That's a good call. I could do that.
Speaker 2 (34:45):
What would you call that instead?
Speaker 8 (34:48):
That's my Jimmy Buffett previews drink.
Speaker 2 (34:50):
That's what you're going to see, Jimmy Buffett.
Speaker 10 (34:52):
I'm gonna go, not literally because he's hanging out with
OJ right now.
Speaker 5 (34:58):
Too soon.
Speaker 3 (34:59):
That's also making a wild assumption that one went both.
Speaker 5 (35:02):
Of one place. So now we finally went there. I
was wondering if anybody was going to go there.
Speaker 2 (35:08):
North and South.
Speaker 5 (35:09):
You know.
Speaker 10 (35:10):
I am going to the Keep the Party Going Concert
tribute concert tonight with Paul McCartney.
Speaker 6 (35:15):
The Eagles, that with John bo Jovi. Yeah, mister three
oh five is going to be there.
Speaker 5 (35:19):
That's the world wide Still.
Speaker 6 (35:22):
A bunch of country singers.
Speaker 5 (35:23):
Yeah, Bull's got it a got reached.
Speaker 2 (35:26):
Man, it would be more believable if Marilyn Manson was
there than pit Bull. It doesn't make any sense. He's
got nothing to do with Jimmy Buffett.
Speaker 3 (35:34):
Not true, mister three five. And obviously you know Key West,
which you know champions Jimmy Buffett. It makes some sense, right, Yeah?
Speaker 2 (35:42):
The way Key West seems fun. I want to go
to Key West. It seems like a good place to go.
Speaker 5 (35:46):
You ever go there? Never been to Key West, Man,
never to Key West.
Speaker 6 (35:49):
We should go there, by the way.
Speaker 8 (35:51):
The uh, the tickets I saw as low as sixty
eight dollars.
Speaker 6 (35:54):
To get in.
Speaker 5 (35:55):
I'm about the buckle. We know.
Speaker 10 (36:01):
Well, you're gonna put some some OJ in your today drink,
maybe Mysa or tequila Sunrise.
Speaker 5 (36:08):
No use grapefruit juice.
Speaker 6 (36:10):
You're out on h.
Speaker 5 (36:12):
I don't go along. If I don't go LeVar Island,
I go grapefruit and tequila or pineapple and mascow.
Speaker 8 (36:22):
Okay, guys, did you like the uh? We like sports documentaries?
Speaker 5 (36:25):
On you interut?
Speaker 10 (36:25):
Did you like the are you interro out on the
OJ made an American documentary?
Speaker 6 (36:28):
Did you guys like that one?
Speaker 5 (36:29):
Don't remember?
Speaker 4 (36:30):
Didn't see it was good.
Speaker 5 (36:32):
It was really.
Speaker 2 (36:34):
Like that was the one?
Speaker 5 (36:35):
Was it?
Speaker 2 (36:36):
ESPN did that one?
Speaker 6 (36:37):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (36:38):
So, I I don't know why this is one of
the parts of that I remember to this day, but
I just remember them talking like him and one of
his buddies. We're having a conversation about the crime. And
they were sitting out in like OJ's backyard, which first
of all, the balls on that guy to sit alone
with OJ in the backyard, like the just credit to him.
I remember him saying like, yeah, we're just sitting there
(36:58):
drinking Rolling Rocks and he was out. Whether or not
I thought he did it, I thought to myself, is
that the kind of publicity rolling rock once?
Speaker 5 (37:06):
You know?
Speaker 2 (37:06):
Is that the kind of endorsement they want?
Speaker 6 (37:08):
That?
Speaker 2 (37:08):
That was the the beer of choice at times from
OJ Simpson because you know the old glass line tanks
of Latrobe, PA. You know the big thirty three on
the back labar. You don't know about this, but we'll
put you up on game in Pennsylvania. That was the
spot Steelers training camp there. And yet they showed up
all these years later in a OJ documentary talking about
a murder or a double murder at that What else
(37:29):
we got Lee guys.
Speaker 10 (37:30):
We wrapped up the final four in the National Championship
last weekend and on Monday, of course. But now we've
got the Frozen Four the NCAAA Division one men's hockey
tournament between we got Denver versus Boston University and Michigan
versus Boston College today.
Speaker 2 (37:44):
Yeah, yeah, I love the Frozen Four.
Speaker 5 (37:47):
I know, okay off hockey.
Speaker 2 (37:51):
Are they mandated to wear the cages? Is that like
you have to wear them in college?
Speaker 5 (37:55):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (37:55):
I'm pretty sure you have to wear them in college.
Speaker 6 (37:59):
It's fun.
Speaker 5 (37:59):
Man.
Speaker 2 (38:00):
What else we got?
Speaker 6 (38:01):
Lee?
Speaker 9 (38:02):
Uh?
Speaker 10 (38:02):
We got the Masters today, fellas we could. Uh, you
guys enter out on the Masters? And what feed do
you watch? Do you watch the main feed or do
you got to go to Amen corner or do you
watch the feature groups? Feature groups?
Speaker 8 (38:13):
By the way, we've got Jason Day and Tiger Woods
in one.
Speaker 6 (38:16):
And we've also.
Speaker 3 (38:17):
Got whoa, whoa, don't forget out Max Homa. Yeah, Maxhomas,
Max in that group?
Speaker 6 (38:21):
Thank you? Yeah, you're right, Max homes in there.
Speaker 10 (38:23):
The other feature group is Tommy Fleetwood, Dustin Johnson, and
Colin Morricawa.
Speaker 3 (38:28):
I would watch Woods group as a as a feature group,
and by.
Speaker 4 (38:31):
The way they play together in the first two rounds.
Speaker 2 (38:34):
So, by the way, Danny Willette is your leader at
two under.
Speaker 4 (38:38):
Think about that, Brady, Well, how many golfers have teed off?
Speaker 2 (38:41):
I don't know who cares.
Speaker 5 (38:44):
Let's see we're teed off?
Speaker 4 (38:47):
What ten to thirty?
Speaker 5 (38:49):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (38:49):
You know what, though at least he could say at
one point or another he was leaving the masters.
Speaker 5 (38:53):
Oh of course, which is or something? What?
Speaker 2 (38:56):
What which hole did you do the best on at
AUGUSTA National?
Speaker 5 (38:59):
Right right there? What a question? What a question? I
can't recall.
Speaker 3 (39:04):
There might have been a par five that I think
I actually was able to birdie.
Speaker 4 (39:09):
But that was that was probably the only one.
Speaker 6 (39:12):
Pretty sweet, Yeah, no, it.
Speaker 4 (39:15):
Was sweet, but it was very frustrating for the rest.
Speaker 5 (39:16):
Of the holes.
Speaker 10 (39:17):
So, guys, if you thought the eclipse watchers were annoying,
how about super bloom watchers. Right now in southern California
it is super bloom season. Actually, if you fly into
La X there's a there's a field of beautiful, colorful
flowers that you can see as you fly in.
Speaker 6 (39:33):
Are you guys enter out on super bloom?
Speaker 4 (39:36):
I mean, how can you even witness it unless you're
on the West Coast.
Speaker 2 (39:39):
That is true.
Speaker 8 (39:40):
Well, some people travel to the West Coast for super bloom.
Speaker 2 (39:42):
Look, I've got a little bit of a green thumb.
Like I like gardening. I love all that stuff, love flowers.
I love seeing the azaleas at at Augusta National.
Speaker 4 (39:52):
Do you have to wear a mask if you want
to participate?
Speaker 2 (39:55):
That's the thing, you know. I just feel like people
in California out here, they just kind of ruined things
that should be feel good stories. It's like that Mountain
Lion that played bumper cars.
Speaker 5 (40:04):
On the one on one, Like now, all of a sudden.
Speaker 2 (40:06):
Yeah, it's like, like we don't. I don't need to
fly into Lax to look at some flowers. I need
to fly into Lax and get there on time when
I paid for my ticket at a certain time, and
get the hell out of there. That's what I need.
Speaker 5 (40:17):
Do you think there will be more people at the
funeral than was that the visual for him?
Speaker 2 (40:23):
For who uh OJ or Jimmy Buffett?
Speaker 5 (40:28):
No, the Mountain line, Oh, we have a ton of
people there.
Speaker 2 (40:33):
There were, Yeah, there were, but there was also a
lot when he was, you know, trying to get away
from cops. OJ had a lot of.
Speaker 5 (40:40):
I thought she was talking about this the mountain line.
Speaker 8 (40:43):
Jesus, what else?
Speaker 5 (40:48):
Kelly?
Speaker 10 (40:48):
All right, guys, this is when we get into the
weeds here. Uh it's National Cheese fawon do dare? Are
you guys enter out on cheese?
Speaker 3 (40:56):
We know you Areley, Yeah, we heard a person really
wouldn't know.
Speaker 2 (41:02):
Is it just is basically just a cheese fountain?
Speaker 5 (41:04):
Right?
Speaker 2 (41:05):
Uh?
Speaker 6 (41:06):
No, it's not.
Speaker 8 (41:06):
It's not a fountain. It's more of like apos pot.
Speaker 5 (41:09):
It's melted a whole bunch of different cheeses. It's good,
really good.
Speaker 10 (41:16):
This this one has me a head scratching. It's National
Poutine Day, which I thought it was.
Speaker 8 (41:19):
A Canadian dish, but I guess it's here in the States.
It's National Poutine Day.
Speaker 2 (41:23):
Hey, what is poutine?
Speaker 5 (41:28):
That's something that you should strive to get in your life.
Speaker 2 (41:35):
How would you pay for it?
Speaker 5 (41:37):
If you're lucky? It just depends. I mean, there's different
price tags connect it to it. There's a different price tag.
You know, you'll never know you know me, I hear
you
