All right, all right, all right, having Saturday to everybody
out there, welcome into the show. This is up on Game.
You heard it. You got Plexico first, you got two
d Husson Zada. I'm LaVar Arrington. We got a lot
of things to get to today. Yeah, you'll be excited
about this one. We'll touch on a couple of different things.

(01:07):
But right now, in a couple of minutes, a couple
of seconds, I'll say we're going to talk a Bears. Yeah, Poles,
gets a five years, gets rewarded. So we'll get to
all of that. But first, you know how this show
always starts off. Got to talk to the guys. How
y'all feeling, man? How's the weather? How's every I mean,

(01:28):
I know your weather, TJ. It's a little unless unless
your weather is different where you at. But it's a
little overcast over here. But you know how y'all feeling today? Man?
How's everything going?

Speaker 1 (01:39):
Revo? Are you know? When you live in higher rent district?

Speaker 5 (01:43):
You know million dollar holes where you at, you might
get a little overcast. But I got clearest guys of
palm chains where I'm at. You know, us normal people. Man,
we're good over here.

Speaker 3 (01:54):
It's very interesting, very interesting. Your cap as made your cat?
What TJ? Hushman's it just did? Don't got to with them?
Hold up, Plex, hold up Plex, don't let me zellow
y'all's cribs out on social media. That's what we're doing. Yeah,
I better stop talking bad to me. My house fitting

(02:18):
y'all's garage. Chill out. So you got clearest guys? Were
you at all right?

Speaker 1 (02:24):
Okay?

Speaker 3 (02:24):
I ain't not wrong with that? What's going on in
you and Jersey? I'll assume you Andy.

Speaker 6 (02:29):
I'm just out here relaxing, man, just you know, just
doing my thing. Man, it's a beautiful Saturday, hot, humid.
You know how these East Coast summers go. Man, they
can get pretty hot and humid during this time of
the year. So, uh, hey, man, just enjoying the fruits
of doubts labor and just going back to what TJ said, Man,
I wish I had a rooftop on top of my house.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
But just like you said, t ain't able, man, everybody
are we aren't able? Man, That's all right.

Speaker 3 (02:57):
My neighbors called the fire department fire, they called the
fire department. We was the was roasted marshmallows. All right, man,
let's let's let's get to it.

Speaker 4 (03:11):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
Poles gets an extension, five years extension Chicago Bears. There
seems to be a lot of excitement, a lot of
attention being paid to with this Bears team. A lot
of people maybe felt as though, uh, you know, Caleb

(03:32):
Williams could have had a better season or or very
very interesting criticisms. I thought he had a I thought
he had a heck of a year for a rookie.
I think maybe the measuring stick has has moved, it's changed,
and it's a little higher than what it has been.
But in reality, I thought Caleb had an amazing uh

(03:53):
first year. Now Ryan Poles gets his extension, it's extended
for five years. I mean to me, Fellas, that says
they really believe in what Ryan Poles brings to the table,
what he's doing, and ultimately maybe is an indicator of
what they feel about this team and you know what

(04:14):
their opportunities are to be really good moving into the future.
How did you guys see this? Well deserved?

Speaker 5 (04:22):
Ryan Poles has done a tremendous job and there's just
no other way to put it when you look at
what he did. As soon as he got there, he said, Okay,
I'm gonna trade this pick. I'm gonna get Dj Moore
from the Panthers. And that was the beginning of Okay,

(04:45):
we're gonna trade this pick. I'm gonna get Dj Moore.
And then they drave Kayler Williams, and then this offseason
they get Joe Tony, Jonah Jackson, Drew Domon to solidify
their offensive line. The only hiccup you could say he
made was letting Eberflus come back for another season last year.

(05:07):
Outside of that, he's done a hell of a job
and building this Bears team defensively, offensively. We all believe
they had found the right coach and Ben Johnson. Caleb Williams,
I wouldn't say he had a trium which was.

Speaker 3 (05:24):
Come up, by the way, because a lot of people
wanted everybody was.

Speaker 5 (05:28):
Everybody was going after Ben Johnson for a couple of seasons.
I wouldn't say Caleb Williams had a tremendous year. He had,
he had a he had a really good year, But
because of the way Jade and Daniels played, it was
as if Caleb Williams didn't play well at all.

Speaker 1 (05:45):
He did play well. I mean it was the pressure.

Speaker 5 (05:49):
But think about when they lost to the Commanders last
play hell Mary, that kind of was the beginning of
the end the team. In the locker room, they stopped
believing in eber Flu's like, how can we lose this game?
And then the following week they lose another nairobider at
the end. But from Ryan Poles, he's done nothing but

(06:12):
a great job building this team and now we're going
to finally see the fruits of his labor. But we
got admit like he's been very very good get his
first far wady to be a general manager after leaving
Kansas City spectacular thus far.

Speaker 6 (06:29):
Tij I'm not going to disagree with you in saying that,
you know, he's not building a good football team up
in Chicago, But I think what the people have a
problem with is his tenure while he's been there. He's
fifteen and thirty six, he's three and fifteen in the
NFC North, he's four and twenty one on the road,

(06:51):
and four and twenty a versus playoff teams. And every
single year that he's been the GM up there finished
he's finished last or for the last in the division.
So you may be saying that, you know, his extension
is warranted, but what he has put forth over his

(07:11):
last two or three years as being the general manager,
he hasn't fared well. So I look at it as
the Chicago Bears made a decision to you know what,
We drafted Kayler Williams with the first pick in the draft.
We bringing Ben Johnson to extend him five years and
they and Ben Johnson comes in with a five year contract,

(07:33):
so both of these young men are on the same timeline.
We are either we staying or we all leaving at
the same time. That's basically what it is. So now
people are saying, oh, he drafted Cayleb Williams in front
of Jaydon Dames and Drake may Well. If Jaydon Dames
didn't have the season that he had last year, then
people wouldn't be saying that about Kayler Williams. Just like

(07:55):
you said, I don't think that Kayler Willims had a
great season. Jayden Dames had a phenomenal great season. He's
I think he's on his way to being one of
the top players in this league. But as far as
Cayleb Williams, if this doesn't work out and and Ben
and Ben Johnson and Ryan Poles tenure, then they will

(08:18):
both be out of there as head coach and general manager.

Speaker 3 (08:21):
What about Williams, What if he doesn't have a good
year this year because it seemed like it was convenient
to put it on iber flues. He did put it
on iber flues.

Speaker 1 (08:30):
It wasn't convenied light it was it was on the
coaching staff.

Speaker 3 (08:33):
They were on the staff, Okay, So if the coach
staff was awful, does he get this year to be
the same as last year, does he get this year
to be well? What is a successful campaign for Kayleb
Williams this year?

Speaker 5 (08:48):
He has to be better that he has to be
let me let me go back real quick. LeVar not
saying that iber Flues is an awful coach. He just
wasn't a good head coach.

Speaker 1 (08:59):
You hire.

Speaker 5 (09:00):
I love this analogy. You hire a straggler as a OLC.
A straggler is uh your last resort, your last option
when we leave it? Who has a straggler? The hired
a straggler as his OC when he when he went
to the Bears. Hey, we all know what stragglers are.

(09:21):
I guess I'll just take her.

Speaker 3 (09:24):
Yeah, stragglers be waiting now and they be having people
wait by the way. Which is the worst is when
a straggler has you waiting.

Speaker 5 (09:31):
But but go ahead, I digress and so Keller William's
gonna have to play better, that's for sure. You you
can't play at the same level you played that last year,
because what did you just say? There was teams lining
up year after year to hire Ben Johnson because of
his acumen, because of what he did. He resurrected Jared

(09:52):
Groff's career. He was in charge of an offense in
Detroit that was virtually unstoppable to creativeness.

Speaker 1 (10:01):
You if they don't succeed in Chicago, you're not blaming
Ben Johnson. Were you here while?

Speaker 6 (10:07):
You're not blaming Johnson because we see, we saw what
he always put together, number one scoring offense and all
the football last year.

Speaker 1 (10:16):
That's why he wouldn't be blamed. That's why he would
not blame me.

Speaker 3 (10:19):
Why he is blamed maybe maybe maybe got like.

Speaker 6 (10:23):
A generational talent at quarterbacks. So they've been saying, right,
some can resurrect Jared Golf's career. You would hope he
could have Caleb Williams play better. So that's why I
believe if the Bears don't play a lot better offense,
it's going to be on Caleb Williams not Ben Johnson.

Speaker 3 (10:41):
Ya, I don't believe that. You know, he was an
offensive player. A lot of people gave Andy Reid all
the credit for how explosive that Kansas City offense was.
Didn't give that just due to Eric b Enemy. I mean, stop,
wouldn't it be the I mean, come on, their offense
has not been the same.

Speaker 5 (11:01):
The same state since they lost that receiver that scared
defensive coordinator.

Speaker 3 (11:07):
I get it, I get it, But nonetheless, he was
the OC of that explosive offense.

Speaker 1 (11:13):
Jared Goff played great.

Speaker 6 (11:14):
I'm not going to disagree with that, but I also
I also know that you know the part of his
resurrection as being an elite quarterback was a Detroit defense
because they were they were the best defense in all
of football. So that also helps when you ain't you
don't have to go out and score thirty five to
forty points a game. What I'm saying is, can that

(11:37):
defense last year do the same exact thing that he
did with Jared?

Speaker 1 (11:41):
Aren't that good?

Speaker 6 (11:42):
You bringing the offensive coordinator and declandor from from the
devil Broncos He was a tight end coach last year.
And I would assume that Ben Johnson at his in
his first tenure as being a head coach. It doesn't
matter who the offensive coordinator is. Ben Johnson is going
to be calling all the plays. So how can he

(12:05):
not take the blame if the Chicago Bells do not
do well? And it's ten year as a quarterback and
Caleb Williams is in his second year.

Speaker 5 (12:14):
Because on one, one one is proven, one is proven.
Ben Johnson is proven that he's proved. He's proven, he's
proven that he can coach in the league. He's proven
he can take a team from nothing to something. He's
proven that we started at the bottom and look where
we were when I left. That that's why there's no

(12:36):
pressure on him. It's pressure on Caleb Williams to perform,
because I know if this offense doesn't play well, I'm
not gonna say it's because Ben Johnson can't coach and
who else gets.

Speaker 1 (12:47):
Who else is Tayl Williams can't play? I know one
is proven and the other one isn't.

Speaker 3 (12:54):
Let's settle this week one Minnesota who wins.

Speaker 1 (12:59):
Chicago has to win. You got to, they have to.
But you got a divisional opponent.

Speaker 5 (13:05):
You got a quarterback in JJ McCarthy starting his first
game in the National Football League, and that since he's
still a rookie.

Speaker 1 (13:10):
All wait, I'll never forget it.

Speaker 5 (13:13):
Anytime we played the game, and damn near every season
I played, and I don't know how many quarterbacks we
played that were rookies, but I remember these conversations with
the you get up in that Wednesday morning met. The
head coach would always say We're playing against a rooky quarterback.
This would be the first game and the only game
that he's a rookie in his first game in the
National Football League. That's what it's gonna be for JJ McCarthy.

(13:34):
He's gonna be anxious, he's gonna be nervous. Chicago must
win this game. They don't win this.

Speaker 3 (13:39):
So you gotta winning the Week one one A better
win Week one, you gotta.

Speaker 1 (13:47):
I do.

Speaker 6 (13:47):
I'm taking in Minnesota Blacks Week one against Chicago Bills.

Speaker 3 (13:51):
Okay, so let's move quick because we're up against it.
Week two they got the Lions. So he goes up.
Ben Johnson goes up against his former team that got
to They won.

Speaker 1 (14:00):
One they wanted.

Speaker 3 (14:01):
I got them in two. Week three they have Dallas.
I think Dallas and one is an interesting that's an
interesting team. I got Dallas.

Speaker 1 (14:12):
I got, I got, I got.

Speaker 3 (14:14):
I got him At three and.

Speaker 5 (14:17):
We don't even know if the Dallas Cowboys gonna have
Michael Parsons signed. Their history says yes, but we don't know.
He says signed him somewhere in the middle of training camp.

Speaker 3 (14:27):
I think Dallas is going to be pretty competitive team
this year. I got him out on three. Where you
got him plex t J. You got him one to one.

Speaker 1 (14:37):
I got him at three.

Speaker 3 (14:39):
I got on three all right. Week four, Week four,
they rounded out the first quarter of the season with
the Las Vegas Raiders. I got him winning that. So
I got him at one and three heading into their
by crazy three, three and one.

Speaker 1 (14:55):
Three on one. What you got I got them at
one and three.

Speaker 3 (15:02):
One and three, Okay, So now let's run it off Washington,
the Saints, the Ravens, and the Bengals for the next four.
I got them winning one and that. I got them
winning against the Saints. So I got right now. I
have them at two and six.

Speaker 1 (15:19):
That ain't gonna happen. That's not gonna happen.

Speaker 3 (15:22):
They're gonna be better than two and six.

Speaker 1 (15:24):
They're gonna be way after eight games. They're gonna be
at worst, five and three, four and four at worst.
Out of your mind, watch.

Speaker 6 (15:33):
Y'all gonna see traveling to Philadelphia, travel traveling.

Speaker 1 (15:39):
Ill in y'all boy, y'all boys, man, man, y'all clip this, man,
y'all clip this. Please please Chicago. They have to travel.

Speaker 6 (15:51):
It doesn't matter. They traveling to San Francisco. They're traveling
to Baltimore, Washington, and Detroit. Now you talking about they
gonna be it's not gonna be easy.

Speaker 5 (16:01):
But if y'all looking at the Bears, look at the roster,
if Caleb Williams plays to his potential, they gonna give
everybody y'all just named hell.

Speaker 3 (16:12):
He said, Well, I don't think that they won't have
some good moments and are COMPETI oay, So then what
what what makes the Cowboys beat them?

Speaker 1 (16:20):
Then?

Speaker 5 (16:21):
What makes the Cowboys beat them? When you look at
the roster from top to bottom? What makes him lose
to the Cowboys?

Speaker 3 (16:27):
I think they're a better team where where where they
have they have a better defensive front. I think that
they will get to the quarterback.

Speaker 1 (16:35):
I think off you said they have a better defensive front.
They have the best defensive player on the field.

Speaker 5 (16:41):
But the last year when the Chicago Bears were last year,
when the Chicago Bears were a mess, their defensive front
was better than the Dallas Cowboys. Dallas Cowboys can't stop
a those lead. They can't stop the run. They can't
stop the run. Just run thirty five times.

Speaker 3 (16:55):
They did struggle at times against the runner.

Speaker 1 (16:57):
They did struggle a lot of the time.

Speaker 3 (16:59):
I think there's They're corners will be healthier this year.
I think they'll get better play out of their secondary.
I think they are stout up front and can get
after the quarterback. They did struggle against the run at times,
but again those were those were running running teams. Those
were teams that really upfront.

Speaker 1 (17:16):
And what was Johnson last year in Detroit?

Speaker 3 (17:20):
Yeah, but I don't don't see this Bears team. I
do not see this Bears team in the same light
that I see Detroit. I can't. You can't go apples
to apples just because it's Ben Johnson. You just can't.
I can't.

Speaker 1 (17:32):
I can't do that in the style of football they
want to go.

Speaker 3 (17:36):
You gotta have the right personnel to run style of
play that style thing.

Speaker 1 (17:43):
Joe washed, Jonah. You think those dudes are Washington, You
think they can't. I'm not saying that they wash. No, no, No.

Speaker 5 (17:50):
The reason to do offensive line is the reason against
offensive line is the reason you run the ball well
or you don't run the ball.

Speaker 3 (17:56):
So you're going against a good defensive Minnesota right out
the gate, Detroit a good defense right out of the gate,
Dallas a good defense out right outside of the Gate.
To be honest with you, the Raiders have a good defense.

Speaker 5 (18:09):
Minnesota is going to have a really good defense. We
know that, we do know that Detroit should have they're
going to have. But are we forgetting that they have
a new offensive coordinator?

Speaker 3 (18:19):
And well, I'm not saying that the Detroit Lions are
going to be the Detroit Lions before the coordinators left
in Glennon and Johnson. What I'm saying is is that
they're going to be better than the Bears. That's what
I'm saying. I don't see the Bears getting and I
know we got to get to a break. I don't
see the Bears getting to eight wins this year. I

(18:40):
don't see them getting that. I would agree with that
trum Trump.

Speaker 1 (18:43):
Talking about New York Johns.

Speaker 3 (18:45):
Yet I think the Giants are dark horse. I think
they're a dark horse because they're going to have a
dope defense. I think their offense may be better. Their
offense may be better with Russell Wilson or even Jamis
Winston or even better office.

Speaker 5 (19:01):
So that means that means the Cowboys, Commanders or Eagles
are gonna falter.

Speaker 1 (19:04):
If y'all.

Speaker 3 (19:07):
Giant clean sweep, they might clean sweep the beers.

Speaker 1 (19:13):
Clean, sweep them many'll possible.

Speaker 3 (19:18):
I'm just trying to be as realistic as possible. That's ah.
I just tried to sup. Just try to suit TJ.
And speaking of trying to suit were gon. We're gonna
try to take a break here real quick. When we
get back on the other side. We had a Fourth
of July accident take place. You know, they happen, you
always ask it. I think they even have a betting

(19:40):
line if somebody's going to come up hurt from the
fourth of July and it has happened again. We'll get
to that. We'll talk about that and more. This is

was the Fourth of July festivities that always take place,
and yes, the new Los Angeles Chargers running back naj Harris.

(21:38):
He sustained a superficial eye injury at a fourth of July,
event is expected to be ready for the season. NFL
insider Ian Rapp Report reported this on Thursday. Fellas Naji's
agent said that the filure works mishap resulted in injuries
to his client and multiple pool people attending the event.

(22:03):
He was present for the event. The fireworks mishap resulted
in injuries to those people, and nag sustained a superficial
eye injury during the incident. Fellas, I gotta say this
like superficial. You know, if you we've we've been hurt
enough to know what superficial is. That's like you took
the skin off of your arm, you know, on the

(22:26):
on the turf or you know, while you were playing.
It isn't. It isn't like below the surface. Basically, it doesn't.
It's not like he heard a ligament or jacked up
some veins or anything like that. It was superficial. That's
that's my take on that's my assessment on it. But nonetheless,
it had to have been bad enough where it made

(22:49):
news and it got coverage. The agent had to give
a statement. Ian Rapp Report reported on it. So it
had to be bad and now where it was reported,
what what's you guys' first reaction to uh, Naji Harris
getting a fourth of July superficial eye injury? Uh this

(23:11):
past week?

Speaker 1 (23:12):
Well, number one, what exactly happened? Like? How bad?

Speaker 3 (23:17):
Is it?

Speaker 5 (23:18):
Superficial that? I mean that can mean a lot of
different things. However, however you interpret.

Speaker 3 (23:24):
It, especially when you say, I, you know, superficial? I
what does that even mean? Is it around the eye?

Speaker 2 (23:32):
Is it?

Speaker 3 (23:32):
Is it itself?

Speaker 1 (23:34):
Like like, we don't know what it is until we know.
You don't want to speculate, Oh is this it's that
It's not bad, it is bad. We don't know.

Speaker 5 (23:44):
But one thing I do know is it got to
be more careful. Like when that happened to Jason Paul Pierre.
That should in Najee Harris. I'm assuming he probably wasn't
high school when that took place, but everybody should be

(24:04):
aware of that. Like the majority, I don't know. It's
a guy out here in La Man, a content creator.
I would call him. He basically damn near blew his
whole handoff. And when you start having these firework mishaps,
nine times out of ten he's from the fireworks you
getting from Mexico. You can't even buy them on the corner,

(24:28):
and so you just have to be careful.

Speaker 7 (24:30):
Man.

Speaker 5 (24:31):
It's one if you really don't know what you're doing,
it's not worth it because you're gonna have regrets and
you may lose a limb. You may have a superficial
eye injury that may cost you your livelihood, which is
the National Football League.

Speaker 1 (24:46):
So now was it really worth it?

Speaker 3 (24:48):
Now?

Speaker 5 (24:48):
Now you spending money to get these fireworks, but you
losing millions because of the fireworks.

Speaker 1 (24:55):
Hustling backwards is what I call it.

Speaker 6 (24:59):
Yeah, everybody don't know the extent of the injury. Just
like y'all said, it's supposed to be a superficial eye injury.
Did it hit him directly in the eye that takes
some skin off his face, whatever the case may be.
But I don't even I really honestly believe that it
was reported on by the people that was around him,
because it wasn't serious enough to you know, for him

(25:22):
to go to the hospital or whatever the case may be,
or you know, file or report and him walking into
a hospital. So that leads me to believe that you know,
whoever he was around, you know when this whole thing
had taken place, and you know, everybody has their phones
and cameras out when things are happening these days, and
I kind of feel that it made the media due

(25:44):
to his surroundings and whoever he was with. But if
they're saying he's going to make a full recovery by
training camp, you know, it doesn't really concern me too much.
But I think that if you playing running back a
good set.

Speaker 3 (25:59):
Of eye, that's pretty good work.

Speaker 6 (26:02):
You gotta be able to you gotta be able to
see that cut back on the three techniques. So, uh,
I'm not really worried about it. They say he's going
to make a full recovery man, so hopefully, uh, you know,
those statements are true and he you know, he's able
to get in the train and kempt healthy and help
this uh Herbert and this team compete for the division championship,

(26:24):
which hasn't been done in a decade.

Speaker 1 (26:26):
Y'all know the Chargers rookies report today.

Speaker 5 (26:28):
Y'all know that, right, that's the rookie manly because they're
in the Hall of Fame game. And yeah, we we
haven't discussed this. Yeah, y'all know the collusion thing, but
hold up, discussed the collusion ahead there's only two second
round picks signed. Two the first pick of the second round,

(26:49):
the second pick of the second round. Nobody else is signed.
And so with the Chargers reporting today rookies, uh, we
now have hold out like when we were playing. Now,
I thought the new CBA was supposed to prevent this.
When you say there's only been two second round signing,
the first league wide or just Chugg league wide, the

(27:13):
first pick of the second round, the second pick of.

Speaker 1 (27:16):
The second round, nobody else has signed.

Speaker 6 (27:20):
It's actually backwards because the later round picks to sign first.

Speaker 1 (27:26):
Quick.

Speaker 3 (27:29):
This is let's talk about it. Let's I mean and
for the record, putting a cap on the Nase Harris situation.
Superficial eye injury would be a cornea cornea cornelia cornea.

Speaker 1 (27:46):
Cornea abrasion cornie.

Speaker 3 (27:49):
Corneal abrasion, which is the surface of the eye scrape,
a scratch of scrape on the cornea uh, the clear
front surface of the eye. While often minor, it could
cause significant discomfort. So causes foreign bodies, fingernails, contact lens,
other objects, chemicals, dot that I saw, and so forth.

(28:11):
So the fact that they mentioned I makes it sound
like to me, my man got hit in the eye,
like it hit him and eye and they say it's
a superficial injury, superficial eye injury, so maybe that's what
it is. He scratched his cornea, boom, keep it moving.
You won't have a red eye for about, you know,
ten to fifteen days. We've seen that one hundred times
growing up, like hey man, why you got that big
blood mark on your eye? You know, you just scratched

(28:33):
the cornea higher.

Speaker 1 (28:33):
There you go.

Speaker 3 (28:34):
But let's get to this topic that you brought up,
because this is a very very hot topic, colluding, and
the whole conversation of the nfl PA's involvement has surfaced
and it's been a hot topic, hot button topic. The

(28:55):
PA agreed apparently reportedly agreed to keep collusion findings a secret.
And as you mentioned, TJ, we're looking at players that
don't have contracts because of teams trying to remove guarantees
from the contract. Give me y'all's you know, what was

(29:18):
the take on a t I see you you transitioned
into it, So what what was your takeaway? What was
your reaction? What was y'all's reaction to the fact that
the NFL PA, who obviously is supposed to be representing
the best interests of their players that they represent, failed
to disclose pertinent information that was connected to possible findings

(29:42):
of NFL owners colluding the PA.

Speaker 5 (29:47):
They have some explaining the dude, I mean, and I'm
sure everybody has the same question. Why why did you
agree to hide the findings?

Speaker 7 (29:59):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (29:59):
Wow?

Speaker 3 (30:00):
What?

Speaker 6 (30:00):
What?

Speaker 5 (30:00):
What is the reason behind that? And so somebody's gonna
have to get to the bottom of it. When Lloyd
Howell was hired, actually met with him, had dinner with him.
He had some people reach out to me inviting me
out to dinner. I had dinner with them and I
liked them. Dinner went great. Is myself, Uh, Brandon Marshall,

(30:22):
Keishawn Johnson, a few other guys.

Speaker 3 (30:26):
Wow, he just really he just really you know, the
multi millionaire clubbers, you know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (30:36):
But I want to I want to.

Speaker 5 (30:38):
I don't understand why, Like, why why would you hide
that if it was found that they did collude, and
so there's more to it and maybe we will never know.

Speaker 3 (30:50):
There's no way to justify, there is no possible way
to come back.

Speaker 1 (30:55):
With You have to have the best interests of the players.

Speaker 5 (30:59):
And so now when we see second round picks not signed,
it makes you wonder like, oh, are they doing it again,
because second second round picks hold out like number one.
When the new CBA was enacted and ratified, it was

(31:20):
supposed to prevent these type of things. Like I train
a player. We on the field yesterday and he was like, Bro,
I won't be out next week. We report tomorrow. Good luck, bro,
you need anything, holler at me whenever you want to
tighten up real quick, just hit me up. We'll meet somewhere.
He may not even be in camp today. Obviously he isn't,

(31:41):
and he was looking forward to this. When I tell
you this, boy, he worked his ass off every day
getting in shape, just ready for this moment because it's
something he's dreamed of.

Speaker 1 (31:50):
Is in talk.

Speaker 5 (31:52):
He can't he not even signed. Why the new CBA
is supposed to prevent this And as now you want.

Speaker 3 (31:59):
To low first rounder is still unsigned. I know we're
talking about the second rounders, but Shamar Stewart is still
unsigned for the Boubles and he has a week to
sign over the same issue.

Speaker 1 (32:12):
And this is a thing.

Speaker 5 (32:13):
It's the Texans drafted Jayden Higgins out of Iowa State
with the second pick of the second round.

Speaker 1 (32:20):
They gave him a fully guaranteed contract.

Speaker 5 (32:23):
And so the Browns who drafted Carson Sweazs are the
linebacker from UCLA.

Speaker 3 (32:30):
They did the same thing.

Speaker 5 (32:31):
They had no choice because the guy after him. But
now the third pick I believe is Nick. I don't
even want to Butcher's last name, the safety from South Carolina,
big dude.

Speaker 1 (32:41):
The Seahawks ran four three. Now they don't want to
give him a fully guaranteed contract.

Speaker 3 (32:46):
Trey Harris.

Speaker 1 (32:48):
Trey Harris is the receiver for the Chargers.

Speaker 5 (32:51):
The third pick is Nick emon URI's I know, I
butchered his name like people with Butcher minds, the third
pick of the second round.

Speaker 3 (32:59):
It's just how they butt you your name, how they said,
oh my good.

Speaker 1 (33:04):
I don't know, but LaVar, I will tell you this.
I got used to it when I was in school.

Speaker 5 (33:08):
Anytime you had anytime you had a substitute teacher, listen,
bro listen, look, we're gonna, we're gonna, we're gonna, we're
gonna divert real quick. Anytime we had a substitute teacher,
right and you know how they go, LaVar Arrington.

Speaker 1 (33:23):
You raise your hand because you know they would take
role back in the day we was in school.

Speaker 2 (33:26):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (33:26):
They my name up pretty bad too, though, But I
don't know how they If they messed your name up,
they shouldn't have been teaching.

Speaker 3 (33:33):
I've been called liver more than you could have ever live, bro.
They should have been called more than you could.

Speaker 1 (33:39):
Ever Mexico birds and raise his hands.

Speaker 3 (33:42):
So then you know, Mexico got a name you can
mess up when you when.

Speaker 5 (33:45):
You start getting to the hes, hey, they would go
like say we say we had a Mexican dude in
the class, and they'd be like her Nandez. He'd raise
his hand, and then they'd get to my name and
they'd be like, uh they it would be a pause.
Oh no, I'd be I'd raise my hand. I'm like,
that's me, t J that's me.

Speaker 3 (34:06):
Didn't even let them try.

Speaker 5 (34:08):
They could know it would be like a three four
with pause shah how shah? I said, Oh, that's me,
that's me, that's teach. So I was used to it
for so long it never bothered me. Because when your
name is as long as mine, I knew once they
got to the HS, I'm like, once they get that pause.
That's TJ coming around.

Speaker 3 (34:29):
Hushman's out of the right way of saying it. Have
we been saying it the wrong way all these years?

Speaker 5 (34:34):
So my grandmother would always say Hushmann's day. I say,
I say, how you say it?

Speaker 3 (34:41):
Okay, That's how I might start calling you that speaking
of Hushman's day. Uh, we gotta get an update because
I mean, we'd be having these topics. We're going to
continue to talk about this, uh, this sign of this,
this uh colluding thing. But let's collude with our man,
Isaac Lowing Crown right now and get through this update.

Speaker 7 (34:59):
What your hello, laver I mean?

Speaker 3 (35:03):
LeVar? Okay, Man, I answered to it too. That's the
crazy thing. I know. I get Lamar more than you
could ever imagine since Lamar Jackson.

Speaker 7 (35:10):
And I've had my share of mispronunciations and most of
all misspellings unfortunately. So I guess it comes with the
greatness for the four of us. Speaking of greatness, ladies
singles vinal at Wimbledon, Poland's ego Sion Tech taking on
American Anna Simova. We're gonna have a pop quiz, by
the way, for the three of you about this after

(35:30):
we hear how it ended.

Speaker 8 (35:32):
Fullhand from Schiontek down the center, fullhand down the censer
from Anisimova. It's a winner from Egoschwiontech who falls to
her back. Clinical, ruthless, merciless, brilliant, Ego schweon Tech is
wimblean champion for the first time. It's a double bagel

(35:52):
from Ego schweon Tech.

Speaker 3 (35:55):
The Calm Radio, Wimbledon. That's what the quiz whiz go
nowhere with you.

Speaker 6 (36:01):
I watched the whole match and I feel so bad
for moa man. She's a New Jersey girl from a
freehold man. She fought to get back in tennis and
it was an unfortunate day for her. Right it was
a double bagel, six love, six love, and oh.

Speaker 1 (36:19):
Yeah it was bro it was bad. I'm watching it.
It was She was crying during the match as that
it was going on.

Speaker 7 (36:26):
Well, I'll tell you what.

Speaker 3 (36:27):
I'm glad.

Speaker 7 (36:28):
I'm glad you brought up Annasimova because, aside from what
happened today, it's a great story. I mean, here's someone
who took a break from tennis to focus on her
mental health and then made it back all the way.
And not only that, but to the championship at Wimbledon.
And look, she's only twenty three years old, so it's
an incredible accomplishment for her to make it. And I'm

(36:48):
sure she'll be back. So and like you said, she
is as you said from New Jersey. That being said,
here's the quiz, guys. As you just heard, it was
a double bagel six love six love. It was the
first six love six love doubles bagel double bagel lady
singles final at Wimbledon since would you believe? Nineteen eleven?

(37:09):
So I want you I'm gonna give you three choices.
I want you to guess what the matchup was of
the nineteen eleven Ladies Singles final at Wimbledon.

Speaker 1 (37:18):
A B or C.

Speaker 7 (37:19):
Was the matchup A Winnifred McNair over Ethel Thompson Larcombe?
Was it B Dora THEA Lambert Chambers defeating Dora Boothby?
Or was it C Charlotte Cooper Sterry over Agnes Edith Pickering?

Speaker 3 (37:39):
A B or C. It sounds like an old name,
his old ass names.

Speaker 7 (37:42):
Okay, LeVar goes with C. Plax your guests, A B
or C.

Speaker 1 (37:46):
I'm going with the B.

Speaker 3 (37:48):
Okay and TJ.

Speaker 1 (37:49):
Your guests, Man, I guess I got one option.

Speaker 7 (37:52):
See our winner is Plaux. It was Dorothea Lambert Chambers
over Dora Boothbye. So congratulations plots.

Speaker 3 (38:03):
All right, appreciate it all. We're gonna take a quick break.
On the other side of the break, we'll still be
talking sports. Is Up on Game.

Speaker 6 (38:08):
T J.

Speaker 3 (38:09):
Husman's out of Plexico burs. I'mavar Arrington, Fox Sports Radio.
All right, welcome back into Up on Games Fox Sports Radio.
Hour two is upon us cuffs. The Legend will be
joining us. I'm sure we're gonna have some fireworks. Uh
maybe pun intended. We'll have some fireworks with that. With
the whole r G three and uh Angel Reese conversations,

(38:34):
RC is again once again the main three of the conversation.
We'll get to that in a few few minutes at
the top of the hour, just about eight minutes by
the way. Uh but but before we get to the
end of this, uh this hour, guys, like, let's let's
cap off this whole collusion deal because to me, I
feel like trust is something that's earned, it's not something

(38:57):
that's given. And the same thing with fact and I
just feel as though you're always going to have that
conversation about what it represents with the PA. Are they
represent your best interest? I feel like this is a
big hit on the NFLPA, just a quick you know,
wrap up on you. How you guys it is?

Speaker 4 (39:16):
Man?

Speaker 6 (39:16):
I thought it was called the NFLPA, man, the NFL
Players Association.

Speaker 1 (39:20):
Man.

Speaker 6 (39:21):
We're supposed to be able to wake up best players
and go to work and know that the union office
and everybody uh you know in the office has our best.

Speaker 1 (39:32):
Is given.

Speaker 6 (39:33):
Yeah, and they're not doing that. And you know how
this business, You know how this business is. If you're
a little if you're a little hio man, and you
lose the faith of these players, they're not going to
trust you. So how the player is supposed to feel
now you are advocating for this eighteenth game that's supposed
to be played during the regular season, if you lose

(39:54):
the faith of the players, man, if you're the NFL PA, man,
that is the way reason why they asked and for
his resignation, and he should accept them because I just
believe moving forward that the guys are not going.

Speaker 5 (40:05):
To trust them to youj last word, Yeah again, trust man,
Once you break that trust anything you say or do
moving forward, I'm always questioning because you've crossed and you've
stepped over that line. I don't know where they go
from here. I don't know what is and what will

(40:28):
be the next steps. But I was a player rep
for many years, and you have to do what's best
for the players and not what's for you the players,
and so whatever that is and whatever comes up comes
from it. I'm interested to see how this goes and
how it plays out.

Speaker 3 (40:47):
Yeah, me too, I'm interested to see how it all
plays out. Man, I'm interested to hear about this conversation
an hour two, I hope you guys are as well.
Take a quick break in about six minutes. We're going
to be back with our t is up on game
