(03:37):
good out here. Palm trees, baby, Yeah, I'm loving it. Man.
It's clear skies and palm trees out here. Man, all
this rain is gone. I feel great, man, feeling good
es Man, that's the most excitement I heard in your
voice over the past couple of weeks. Man, whether y'all
have been having And I guess the Lakers must have
won the basketball game. So I don't know. U. Here,

(04:00):
we comes around, we come, we come in, ad here
to stay. He could keep playing like this, baby, I
thought it was out for the you go, we want
to play away from a d being right back in
the dog house with every Laker fan, everybody's talk about
here you go. Don't mess with that boy. Don't mess

(04:22):
with him, don't don't even mess with him. And didn't
didn't bang. He gonna twist his ankle or stub his
pinky toenell and and then he's gonna be out for
for a couple of weeks of the rest of the season.
You know who's what it is. But he was balling.
I ain't gonna, ain't gonna lie, ain't gonna when he balls.
He's balling now, ain't know And speaking of bawling, Um,
what y'all thinking about this? Uh, let's start with the ladies,

(04:44):
all right, Let's start with the ladies. You got LSU
going against uh Iowa and in the women's basketball final,
um LSU they got some dogs on that team. But
you know what, so does Iowa. And man, you sat
plural when you hey, huh you said some dogs? Yeah? Dogs?

(05:08):
Yeah yeah? Which, well, which team you're talking about? Man,
Caitlyn Clark is the big dog. Caitlyn Clark is the
biggest dog. But they got some dogs on that IAWA team. Bro.
I mean, listen, man, of your team's point scored, whether
you scored them or assist you the biggest of big

(05:29):
dogs Like I'm I was shocked. I actually made a
bet yesterday with uh some of these incoming rookies in
this NFL draft class that Cayn Clark wouldn't get thirty
because South Carolina would focus on her? Was I wrong?
Like the fact that she's the focal point and still

(05:52):
put up forty one? Man, she cold m I'll tell
you what I was watched and watching the game. Her
shot is crazy, and and her her field and basketball
like court instincts are crazy as well. But the one
thing that to me I was truly impressed by is

(06:14):
her understanding of when to let somebody else you know,
get involved because they couldn't guard the bigs either. What
I couldn't understand. It's like, all right, I knew don
Staley knew, you know, as as one of the dopest
coaches in the game, I knew she had she knew
she had to stop. Stop the girl. How do you

(06:36):
not stop her when you know she's the biggest dog
of the big dogs. It's because every time you tried
to get on her and you use more than one player,
she keeps you, honest because don't cutters going to the
to the She's just that good. Yes, she's just that good.
She's that good. Yeah. I kind of think that, you know,
don don Staley was trying to send a message that

(06:57):
you know, uh, Brial Bill is probably the best female
perimeter college basketball player and women's basketball. So she kind of,
you know, had the thought in the notion that listened, Uh,
Caitlyn is going to get her points, but she's not
going to get forty with Bria Garden her the length

(07:18):
of the court the whole entire game, and when she
was getting to the half court line, and when when
Caitlyn wasn't getting any screen picking roll, she was going
taking it. She was getting all the way to the
basket and Bria couldn't stop it, and don Stallen didn't
want us in a double team. Way out there passed
the three point line and by that time, but by
the time they were trying to get to her man,

(07:39):
she was laying the ball up like Steve Nash. I
thought the rafts man and that some of them fouls
on the lea Boston I thought were real tiki tack
And I thought Iowa was being extremely physical with South Carolina,
and when you return that physicality, it was fouls. And
I really paid attention to both games, and I just

(08:02):
felt like going into the game, I was everybody talks
about the physicality assault. My god, they're so physical. It's
this and that your best player, Eliah Boston doesn't play
then time, pretty much the entire second quarter because of
foul trouble. That's a lot. I mean, she's four time

(08:24):
defensive Player of the Year in women's college basketball. She's
their best player of South Carolina. But with all that
being said, was the hell of a game. They gotta
go deal with the Bayou Barbieangel rees and LSU. But
let's keep it real. USC didn't lose because of the referees.
I know people are going to I just felt like,

(08:45):
if if you're gonna let the game be physical, let
it be physical both ways. That's all I will say this.
I mean, when the game was on the line, that
that last little jump ball where you know, there was
the tie up, it did get a little physical and
did get a tap bit you know, chippy, and they
weren't calling the fouls. They were actually calling you know,

(09:06):
jump balls and stuff like that, and it really kind
of gave you know, South Carolina an opportunity to either
tie the game or win the game. Let's just be clear, man,
the Iowa Hawk Eyes played a defense. They gambled. They
say they they they put everybody in the block, put
put everybody inside, and said we are not going to

(09:28):
let you guys win on the inside. Y'all not gonna
win on the inside. Y'all gotta do it from the perimeter.
And and South Carolina couldn't make enough shots from the
outside to be able to win the game. They couldn't
pull them out of the defense that they were in.
They played. That's set back defense the entire game. Yeah,
but the entire game. You also gotta give Iowas from

(09:50):
credit because they had a great game playing many. They
put Caitlyn Clock on Raven Johnson, and Raven Johnson's only
averaging twenty twenty one from sitting from three point rains,
and they weren't even guarden giving her to three. They
were just giving her to three. And so that gave
Caitlin Cork the uh, the freedom to pretty much run
around and double down on on Leah Boston or whoever

(10:12):
was getting the ball in the post. But they weren't
guarding her, so they took the week Lingacy, know what,
We're gonna let her shoot how many? How many three
points is she gonna make? I think she went like
three four eleven or three for twelve. You're gonna take that.
And and on the flip side of that, Cayton car
is not spending a lot of energy on the defensive
end because she's really not guarding anybody. Y'all got Florida

(10:35):
Atlantic San Diego State tonight today and on the West
coast three three three pm out here, six six pm
on the on the East coast six h nine, And
then you got Miami versus Yukon at five forty nine
here and at eight forty nine on Eastern standard. What's
what's y'alls expectations of the Final four? I don't have

(10:57):
high expectations. I'm I can kind of feel good about
the Miami Yukon game, Like I think that that's a
that's a good matchup. I think FAU has done an
amazing job. San Diego State the same. They found the
way to make it in. I'm just not as intrigued, guys,
I'm not I'm really not as intrigued by it. I
don't know if this is good for for the NCAA basketball.

(11:19):
I heard the ticket sales and as shaky, Well they
were shaky. I mean, the information says that it was
a little it's it's not good for the NCAA to
not have blue blood teams in the final four. But
what's y'all, Well, these big programs gotta play better. Well,
there you go. If they're not happy with the ticket
sales and the ratings, that's gonna occur at this final
four games. Then the Dukes and the Carolinas and the

(11:42):
Floridas and all those top tier basketball institutions in the country,
including Michigan State. We gotta play better. But do we
really know what's going to happen with this final four.
I have no idea. I'm just gonna jump. I'm just
gonna jump out the window and say it is gonna
be all Florida National Championship. Wrong book raton versus Cool Gables, Florida.

(12:06):
I think it's the best setting going forward for a
national championship game that nobody who would have ever pictured.
But the fact that you have too Florida to two
Florida schools in the final four, basically twenty thirty miles away,
why not just say, you know what, I want to
see a University of Miami and then FAU national championship

(12:27):
And what are the odds that FAU can win a
national championship? So that's crazy because I think it's going
to be a non Florida final. But you know how
you do Tea, Yeah, I mean I would finished higher
than both y'all on the NCAA Brackett Challenge, Thank you
very much. But you guys right twice a day, just

(12:49):
so you know, um, and the sunshines on the blue Blood.
You have so much, so much of the one and done.
They're going to the G League. The best college basketball
players or high school basketball players and entering college. Whereas
you look at some of these schools that are in
the final four, San Diego State, Florida, they got a

(13:09):
lot of third year, fourth year players now with COVID
fifth year players, and so these guys are they're just
more mature and it's not like they can't play. And
so if oh, we need the blue Bloods and the
Dukes in the North Carolinas, the Michigan States and no
schools Kentucky's in the final four, well you look at Yukon,

(13:35):
you look at Miami, San Diego State, Florida, Atlantic, these
schools have a lot of upper classmen. It's just a
different ballgame. Now. Maybe with the NIL, maybe some of
these players will stay longer. I doubt it, because they'll
make a few hundred thousand in NIL. If you're good enough,
you're gonna make millions in the NBA. And so it's

(13:58):
a completely I belie leave. It's gonna be it's gonna
stay like this. It's gonna always be like this because
you're gonna get these schools that have developed these young
men from the time they were seventeen eighteen years old
now here they are twenty twenty one going against seventeen
eighteen year old boys. It's a completely different ball game. Yeah,
it's a girl. It's a great point. I like the point,

(14:19):
and I like this show you're listening to Up on Game.
On the other side of the break, Well, Lamar Jackson,
he isn't asking for fully guaranteed deal, fellas, but he
just wants to have something else. And you know what,
I'm curious as to what y'all think about it, because
I don't think that it's not sensible. So we'll talk
about that. We got a lot to get to. This

(14:40):
is up on Game. T J. Hushman's at a plexico bursts.
I'm LaVar Arrington. We'll be right back. Hey, Iowa saying,

Iowa Sam, because you know I really like buster rhymes
and hey, plex were you and were you in? Uh
bounce shots out to Benniam a piece. I bounced, were
you in bounce with me? When Buster Buster Rhymes did that? Uh,

(16:30):
he did the part from his Chris that Chris Brown,
that Chris Brown song. What was the name of the song?
Where he goes and when I got to do my thing,
When I do my thing, when da dada and whatever.
But he goes real fast when he does it, and
he did it with me. He did it live in
in the Uh. He did it live in the booth
right next you know, the booth we always be in

(16:51):
the in bootha. You know, he did it live right
next to our booth. And then he did it again.
He did it twice. Buster rimeses man, he's like a
lyrical genius. Anyways, speaking of lyrical geniuses, you know, I
think Lamar Jackson is a lyrical genius for this latest
bar that he came up with, which was, I don't
need to have a guaranteed contract. I just want to

(17:14):
have more guaranteed money than what Sean Watson's deal has.
Now to me, I think that's a bar. And honestly,
why would I have a problem, Why would anyone have
a problem with Lamar Jackson saying those words? Like you
give me y'all's take on this. First of all, do
you do you find this to be sensible? And do

(17:37):
you think that this is something that makes maybe anyone
out there a little bit a tad bit more interested
in possibly wanting to engage Lamar Jackson. That's fair. I
believe that's fair. That this is how the league works
when it comes to the quarterback position. We didn't set

(17:57):
these protocols. The National Football League set these protocolls. It
doesn't matter if you're better than this guy. When the
next quarterback comes up, you just jump them. They set
this protocol. This is something that they've done for years.
And so if Lamar is saying, okay, I just want

(18:20):
more guarantee money than Deshaun wantson, I believe that's more
than fair. I don't in my opinion for Lamar Jackson,
I don't believe it's the best deal for him because
when you're talking over more than Deshaun Watson's two hundred
and thirty million guaranteed and so that's a really long

(18:41):
term contract, I think he may be better off going
a shorter term contract. And then you get on contract
number three salary kappas higher you're gonna make more money.
But what do I know? But but if that's the case,
to me, we sus to see some action. And I
truly believe once this draft raft is over, teams that

(19:02):
don't get the young quarterback that they were looking for
and hoping to get may make a run at Lamar Jackson.
Teams at draft in the top ten may make a
run at Lamar Jackson because if we have Lamar Jackson
on our team, we're not gonna be drafting in the
top ten. And these two first round picks we give
you will be late first round picks. So it's well
worth it. Man. We've had this conversation over the plast

(19:25):
three or four weeks, man, and he is standing firm
exactly for he believes in and he is going to
get what he thinks his value is. And if he
believes and thinks that he wants, you know, he deserves
more money than Deshaun Watson. He absolutely does. I think
there's I think there's three or four guys that just

(19:46):
jump off the page immediately of salary of who he
should be making be getting paid more money for Colin Murray,
Russell Wilson, Daniel Jones and now, Deshaun he has performed
over the last for his first part his career better
than any of them. Better. I mean, they're not even

(20:08):
on the same page, bro. So that's what I'm saying.
What if they bring health into the scenario. What if
people are saying he's missed eleven games in two years.
We all know if he has a long term contract,
those eleven games that he's missed. Six of those was
last year. Would probably say three to four max last year.

(20:30):
He's coming back to play. He's coming back to play.
Everybody knows it. All right. Let me ask you guys this,
when talking about Lamar Jackson and and this being the
possibility or the direction you go down, I agree with you,
uh TJ on the whole idea. The next guy's up.
And hey listen, Dak Prescott had to get his ankle

(20:55):
redone like he got bionic ankle now, and and he
got his deal coming off of one of the most
grotesque injuries that you you'll see in the league. So
you can't you can't put it on the health because
Dak got a contract coming out of a season that
he basically he missed due to an injury. So if

(21:17):
you if we're trying to use injuries. It's all up
to interpretation. I just wonder, and you guys tell me,
has he done more damage to himself to something like
if you have somebody giving you the right information or
someone who's certified. I don't you know, I'm not a
big aging guy. But even if you did have an
agent that you paid on an hourly basis, which is

(21:40):
always my contention, do you think that somebody says, you
know what, Lamar, go about it this way. Maybe somebody
with some real knowledge has told him, like, look, don't
go for a fully guaranteed contract. That's gonna scare these
teams away. Teams have always in the past, like we said,
given more money to a player that's next up at
that position, that's the top of their position. But at

(22:02):
that you know, at that same point, people aren't giving
out guaranteed contracts. You know, Minnesota gave out a guaranteed contract.
Cleveland just gave out a guaranteed contract. But that's not
something that these these franchises are going to be willing
to do. And it's purely based upon load management and control.
You're not going to be able to control these's based

(22:24):
on Leavar. You know what it's based on. It's based
on this. These teams have relationships with these agents and
agents they don't or they haven't pushed for guaranteed contracts
because of the relationship they have with owners and general
managers to come to these a longstanding relationships, right, twenty

(22:45):
thirty years, Well, you know so and so, this is
what we can do. And they sit down and they
hash everythings because now I'm gonna do this owner of
a solid. I'm gonna do this general manager a solid,
and he's gonna do me a solid in a year
or two when it comes to this next player that
I represent. So it's not just colluding amongst ownership they

(23:10):
have with the agents. The top agents have been the
top agents for years. They have ships. An agent ain't
gonna sell his his self out and sell his relationship,
not for one player, not for one player. No, because
if I look after you right now, you're going to
look after me later. And this is where I believe

(23:31):
Lamar should have an agent. You don't have to pay
him a percent. You can say I'm giving you X
the fact that you represent Lamar Jackson. You can lever
if you're that agent you leverage that to get other clients,
and so it's well worth it if you're Lamar, it's
well worth it if you're the agent. So I think
the agent goes to organization that says listen, Lamar doesn't

(23:53):
want to fully guaranteed contract, meaning you don't have to
put this in an escrow the amount of money that take.
But we want to have more guaranteed money in his
contract than what Watson has. You think the deal gets done, yes, wow, yes,
when you do contract negotiations, this is what we don't

(24:15):
like x y Z. You think they're gonna tell Lamar Jackson,
this is what we don't like about you. Because he's negotiating.
They're negotiating with him him. It's a lot of Okay,
we're gonna bring you down so that we can bring
this price down. You start bringing up personal things, it

(24:35):
becomes offensive. They're not doing that. In so, just instead
of trying to save five hundred thousand dollars, it's worth
if he can get an agent and pay him x amount.
You can tell the agent what you're gonna pay him,
and guess what they're gonna say. Okay, right, they're gonna

(24:59):
say okay. But relationships. Man, you look at CIA and
athletes first, and whomever else is a big agent. This
is all about relationships. They don't want to damage relationships
on either side because you look after me, I look
after you. And it's just year after year after year. Hey, listen,

(25:21):
Jason Kelsey, Travis Kelsey, they they have a podcast and
they were talking to man. They are funny as he funny.
And the reason why I bring them up is leaving
from talking quarterback talk of Lamar Jackson to the coaches conversation.
We have many conversations about coaches and who should have

(25:44):
the opportunities and who don't have the opportunities. I found
this to be an interesting deal that Travis and jac
had Jason take place on their on their podcast. We're
going to get to that in a matter of moments,
but first let's go to my main our man, the
People's champ. Isaac Well said, good morning fellows. Overnight we

(26:09):
had the NBA and the Players Association tentatively agreeing to
a new seven year collective bargaining agreement. It'll go into
effect next year and run through the twenty twenty nine
at twenty thirty campaign. Lament's final four tips off tonight
at six o nine eastern at first at San Diego
State against Florida Atlantic. That'll be followed at eight forty
nine eastern by Yukon against Miami. The Basketball Hall of

(26:33):
Fame class of twenty twenty three was officially announced today.
It includes Dirk Nevitsky, Dwayne Wade, Tony Parker, Pau Gasol
Becky Hammond, Jim Valvano, Gene Katie, and Greg Popovitch. No
word yet on how Popovich will celebrate his Hall of
Fame selection. Whoa coach? Whoo? Let's just start with wine

(27:01):
and see where it leads anyway. In Major League Baseball,
multiple outlets report that San Diego Padres infielder Jake Cronenworth
has agreed to a new seven year, eighty million dollar extension.
And finally, in the NFL, the Pittsburgh Steelers announced this

(27:22):
morning that they've signed a free agent receiver named Calvin
Broadest Junior. Have any of you three heard? Yes? There
you go. Today, of course is April Fool's Day, and
of course stop playing Calvin College Calvin. Yeah, Calvin Broadest Junior,
better known as Snoop Dogg. But that did not stop

(27:44):
fellas many fascinating and well thought outs tweets in the
comments section posted in the aftermath of the Steelers tweet,
including will he wear a jersey number four? Twenty? And
other comment when he's a team headquarters. I heard that
he ain't leave until six in the morn And finally,

(28:12):
did he catch that ball or did he drop it
like it's hot? Oh my god? On that note back
to you, hey, you are the best. That is funny
as I'll get out, all right, So fly can you
must buss? That's what I am? Indeed, all right, So
I tease the Kelsey brothers. Just just take a listen

(28:34):
to this. And I got a question for y'all on
the other side of it. Let's give it. Let's give
the Travis Kelsey try right now. I can, I can.
I'm the worst with names, but I can tell you
team okay, all right? Starting on the left, Chargers standing up,
sitting down, standing up, standing up, Chargers, Giants, San Frank,
that guy, I don't I don't know what the next

(28:56):
two Steelers his head Steelers, Tampa is that Tampa Detroit?
No chance you're getting this, one zero percent chance. No
Jets after Jets, nothing. I don't even. I've never seen
that man in my life. Uh, so good. I mean

(29:18):
three in a row. I have no idea. Those dudes
are every everybody between the Jets off the coordinator Shane
staking for the Coals. Come on, Travis, Um, who's who's
next to Doug e p Who should know that one?
You should definitely know that one. Demko, who's the other one?
You should know him because he's arguably your biggest rival.
Oh that is yeah, that's Sincy. That's not he's a

(29:38):
doubt on his name name name, that's uh, that's coach.
This is so good. I'm telling I told you I
was terrible with names. I don't even know. The worst
Taylor I knew was a t I'm sorry, coach Taylor.
Who doing the bottom? Do you want to keep doing this?
This is fun? Uh? All right? Are you going back

(30:00):
to the left? You're starting on the right, starting starting
right and going back left? Fully? Um again, never seen
this guy in my life. The two Eagles coaches I
got head coaching jobs. Oh my god, this is so good.
I love what's happening right now. Um, Miami, there's no way, man,

(30:28):
there's no way that got coaches in the NFL. Man,
then Pete Carroll Harball obviously you know the next rivera
qbs um Peacock quarterback play, Broncos Country, Let's ride, Gordon Bombay,
we got the Packers and then just no clue, then
Bills all right now, huh wow, this is crazy hilarious.

(30:54):
You got Jason and Travis Kelcey. They have their own podcast,
check them out. Um. It raised an interesting thought to me.
There's always this long, like lasting conversation of coaching opportunities
in the National Football League, and it just made me

(31:16):
think to myself, if players don't even know who the
coaches are, how the like, how the hell are we
validating or justifying who these guys that are being hired
to coach these teams? How are we how are we
doing that? That was the first thing I thought of
after coming out of that. It's like, oh, it's funny,

(31:38):
but when you really think about it, every good, every
good coach in the National Football League. Some of you
might not know their names. I get it, new new talent,
this downother, But for the most part, do you know
the most talented coaches in the league? Do you know
them by name? I pretty much know all of them.
I just Hey, this is hard. You know why it
was hard for them to do this? Man, coaches got

(32:00):
to put a hat on. You put a hat on,
he started recognizing because some of these coaches man ain't
got no hair leavar. So you see him without that
hat like wait, wait, wait, I mean I can put
that hat on and I can identify you, right, I
don't see him think that I can name every NFL

(32:20):
head coach of author or two twos. I know I can't,
But can you name every coach that that had that
to me to that matters, Like like, for instance, when
I played, I could probably tell you every single coach
that mattered. Outside of that I might not know. And
when I say matter, meaning that there you know them

(32:43):
as good coaches. You know them like you don't have
to have the conversation. So that's why I started thinking
to myself, like like when he said about Mike McDaniel,
you know, it's like, how the hell is he a coach?
Like he's joking and he's having a good time with it,
But is there something? Is there something to that? Like
to me in my mind, is there something to it?
It's like if if people don't if people in the

(33:05):
league in the game. Don't even know who the people
are that are coaching your team. Isn't there something to that? No,
But LaVar, you gotta realize when we were playing, it
was a lot different because a lot of the coaches
were I think Andy Reid is probably just Mike Tomlin.
But outside of the coaches getting these head coaching jobs. Now,
they came from the Bill Walks, Tree U, Mike Holmgram,

(33:30):
they came from. But you knew where the coaches came from.
Now they just you know, they coach two years in
college and now he's a head coach of the Arizona Carpers.
That didn't happen twenty years ago. That's fair, like you
had to pay, you had to build a resume, you
ten fifteen years to even pretty much be even considered
for a head coaching position. But it's totally different now

(33:52):
because we don't know where these coaches come from. Right.
It's not a good thing or a bad thing. It's
a good thing because it showed the younger coaches if
you can relate to players and you show you understand
the game, you can advance a lot faster than when
anyone ever thought, at least when we were coming up,

(34:15):
and so that's a It gives these coaches something to
really look forward to and strive for. And no, I
don't have to wait twenty years. I don't have to
grind to me an assistant for twenty years. I can
get in five, seven, eight years. And so me, I
like that. I would just like to see. If it's

(34:37):
good for you, it should be good for everybody. Meaning
if this is what we're gonna do, and we're gonna
give all these guys opportunities like this, let's do it
for everybody that looks like they're a great young coach
on the come up. Let's not pick and choose. You
know what I mean by that. Let's not pick and
choose who we do it for. Let's do it for everybody.

(35:00):
All right. Well, so for me, I like it, I
really do because a lot of these young coaches, they
can relate to the players so much. So well, we
grew up in the era of it's yelling you don't
do this, you're running. These young coaches they approach things

(35:20):
differently and you don't want to disappoint them, so you
try to go above and beyond as a player. And
so I don't mind it at all, but you got
to perform. Now when when you get in these games
and you're getting situations or you may have a player
that's trying to toe the line, maybe step over it
here and there, you got to know how to handle

(35:43):
that the correct way because if you don't, it can
go sideways. That's t J. Huschman, Zada, that's Plexico Burrst.
I'm LaVar Rington. You're listening to Up on Game. Oh
oh oh yeah. On the other side of this break, Yeah,
we're gonna talk about RG three. He's making his return,
possibly making his return to Washington, but maybe not the

(36:06):
way you thought he was gonna make his return. This
is Up on Game. We'll be right back. Fox Sports
Radio has the best sports talk lineup in the nation.

Welcome back into Up on Game. We're live from the
Tyraq dot com studio. It's t J. Hutchman's out of

(36:29):
as Plexico Burst, LeVar Arrington. We got a lot to
get you in the next hour. It's been a great
first hour. Make sure you check out everything that we
got going on on our podcast. Or wherever it is
that you find your podcast. It's up on Game check Out,
up on Game Presents as well. All right, fellas our
boy RG three, y'all's boy, RG three, the people at

(36:50):
DC's people, which you mean, y'all's boy, righty RG three,
he moving and shaking. I need to get some of
these deals. Three three sticks, you know Robert three sticks. Yeah. Yeah,
So he's trying to return to Washington and he's trying

(37:11):
to return to his former team, UM, but it ain't
come back to be a player. Take a listen to
what RG three had to say on The Rich Eyes.
And So I've been having some really great conversations with
this group UM led by Josh Harris, and having an
opportunity to come in on that ownership group. I'm I'm

(37:32):
like head over heels excited about that process. You know,
to be a player for that team, to not have
my career go the way that I wanted it to
or the fans wanted it to UM in that city
would be a full circle type of moment. To come
back and try to help that team and that organization

(37:53):
build the winner that the fans deserve. So that's something
I'm really excited about you know, it's nothing I can
announce at this point. It's it's it's the conversations are happening,
and I'm really really excited about the potential mayor m
So he's talking about potentially being a part of Josh
Harris's group to purchase the Washington Commanders. Now you have

(38:18):
minority ownership, you have majority ownership stakes that go along
with these deals. I'm curious to what you guys think,
what what would be the benefit for because I doubt
he has well I know he does. I mean, that's
a six billion dollars sale goes through LeVar. Give me

(38:42):
any type of ownership minority, what give me meniscule, that's
what I want, miniscue give me that. Like, just to
be a part of that is unbelievable for him. So
if anybody listening and I can get in on this,
I won't in on this, man, say I won't. Just

(39:09):
that wasn't such a great idea, Like you do know
you're giving your money away forever though, that's not you
don't put that in to get it out. That's that's
kid money. That's that's like I don't know who ever
sees that money though. So you gotta have a little
bit of you gotta be able to put that there
and never touch it ever again ever in life. That's
not true, nority ownership like you gotta certain percent Like yeah,

(39:35):
very true. That's what goes on. But I got a
little money that I can give it. But I'm saying
I want if I'm go minuscule. If you go minuscule,
what's your return going to be? That's but I don't care. Well,
I think the biggest thing for RG through moving forward
is a hit that he did not release the book
called Surviving Washington. Well that was the case, makes a

(39:58):
lot of sense, you know what, I think. Way back then,
which have been a year ago, he had an opportunity
that nobody knew about but himself and Harris, that he
had an opportunity to move forward in an ownership position
or a stake with the team, and he chose not
to release the book because from what I understand, the book,

(40:20):
it was already published and it was ready to go
on the shelf. But for some strange reason, he pulled
the book and he never released it. Can I ask
this question, I wonder now if he facilitated this. I
get it, and I love the idea of it, I
really do. But and I know we were up against it.
We're about to be done with this segment. But man,

(40:41):
I just wonder, like, if the Ownership group is approaching
former players, is RG three the player you approach, like
the first thing I think of it is a Darrell
Green approach approach. And that's why I'm saying, now, if
he did it, now I get that, And that's a
fly move for real, for real. It's all about who
you know, smart, it is all about It is all

(41:02):
about who you know. It's about who you know. Maybe
he's had a relationship with this guy for standing the
amount of time. That's goodbody knows, you know. I mean
some of these guys out here got some ownership out here.
You know, our boy work done. He got a little
bit of ownership. Cats play got a little ownership, man.
Anything more power to you if you're a player and
you're getting some moves like that. I like that. Anyways,
this is up on game all right, hour two. It

(41:22):
is right around the corner. So make sure you stay
locked in all right, because you know, we got things
to talk about. We got wreck coming on, we got
our bat Boy coming on, we got stuff coming on.
All right, it's Fox Sports Radio Hour two. We'll be
right back.
