I'm not gonna lie, man, I had to tell somebody
this a man, these last few days. Eve, I'm I'm
gonna include today. Also, I eat more than I've ever eaten. Man,
I normally don't eat like this, not gonna lie.
Speaker 4 (02:15):
Started off like this, Nah, like sounds like you're in
a therapy session right now. I had, I mean not
just a regular sized bowl, huge, like an.
Speaker 6 (02:26):
Oversized bowl of gumbo. My wife makes gumbo for Thanksgiving
and Christmas every year. So I eat the gumbo. Uh
probably about I'm gonna say about about noon around noontime
on Thanksgiving.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
And then I followed that up.
Speaker 4 (02:40):
The turkey was real, real juicy this year, says some turkey,
some match.
Speaker 1 (02:45):
Juice, turkey meat. Hey, collar greens and.
Speaker 4 (02:50):
Turkey meat. Yeah, it's that. It's some collar greens in
them yams. But hey, y'all, ever make your collar greens
with cabbage? So non mom used to do that growing up,
and my mother in law make some cabbage and greens,
collared greens from scratch. This week, boy, bruh, we put
(03:12):
some We put some of that gizzard neck in there.
Speaker 1 (03:14):
We put some hamhock in there. I mean it was.
Speaker 7 (03:17):
It was real flavorful as gizzard nick a little gizzer,
little gizzard. Hey bro, man, hey Bro, I smoked shouts
out the tragger grills.
Speaker 4 (03:28):
Man, I smoked. I smoked their turkey this year. That's
that's I mean. I've had I thought fried was my favorite,
but one hundred percent after this, I gotta go with
I definitely gotta go with uh smoking your turkey, man, Hey.
Speaker 5 (03:46):
You know what my uncle been telling me the same
thing for years because usually every year I have fried turkey,
but I didn't fry one this year. But he always
been He's been telling me for years.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
Man.
Speaker 5 (03:54):
He he actually smokes his on like on a charcoal
grill with like he can and wood and mosque. I
bet he said he thought he was at like four
in the morning on Thanksgiving Day. But he's been trying
to convince me to smoke a tricket. I haven't done
it yet.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
It's so it's it's a different experience, man, Man, I
gotta do it. That was juicy.
Speaker 4 (04:18):
We gotta hit, we gotta hit tragger. We got to
get you all grill man, because I'm telling you that
apple wood uh uh pellets like it's got this pellet
deal where it just keeps it super clean, but you're
getting the same type of impact all plex.
Speaker 1 (04:34):
Yeah, I gotta get me one of them traggers, man, Bruh.
Speaker 4 (04:37):
I'm telling you that them tragger grills is not a game.
Like I love my my grill that I got my
other one, but this trigger it's a whole that joint.
Sitting there talking to you like, how's your day going?
Speaker 1 (04:49):
Is it? Good? Man? Let me tell you I've.
Speaker 5 (04:51):
Been I've been sitting it like on TV, so you
can actually regulate your temperature from from your from your phone,
from wherever you at.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
You could be.
Speaker 4 (04:58):
You could be at at out, like sitting in the
parking lot, waiting for whoever's in the grocery store to
come back out, you know, whatever it may be. You
could be anywhere, gas station, you it's on your phone.
It's on your phone. All that joy be sitting there like, hey, man,
you're gonna really enjoy this meal that you're cooking right
all right?
Speaker 5 (05:16):
Trigger grills, You're gonna send us three grills. I'm gonna
go out and buy one.
Speaker 4 (05:20):
Man messing with us, Man, we been trying to We're
gonna work this one out, baby, Bruh, We're gonna clip
this off. We're gonna work this out because I'm telling
you right now, I'm gonna send you all the video
of it.
Speaker 1 (05:33):
Man, that joint. Bruh. Listen what I'm telling y'all. It
was one of the best.
Speaker 4 (05:39):
It's probably and not because I made it, but it's
probably the best turkey that I've I've ever had, like ever.
That's including like Grandmom and them, like did you it
was just yah. We was based in it it was.
It was injected and and then you know, we we
we seasoned it up and let it sit for a
little bit. But man, the way it came out like
(06:00):
it was just real, real juicy. Man, it was juicy.
And I'm gonna just tell y'all, like super juicy. Like
this Michigan Ohio State game. Everybody wants to hear about it.
Everybody wants to know about it. It's a big game.
It's a super huge game. It's the biggest game that
we'll talk about and we'll see during the course.
Speaker 1 (06:18):
Of this weekend.
Speaker 4 (06:20):
Guys, it's coming up here right now, in about well
a few minutes, a few moments in fact. What there's
so many big storylines here right Okay, you got Horball,
the ongoing situation with sign gate, sign stealing gate. He's
already been suspended once before for recruiting violation early on.
(06:44):
He's not on the sideline. They accepted the punishment, the
three game suspension. Let's close it up, Let's move on.
What does this mean for Horrball? Ryan Day has to
go into the big house. There's no Harball on the sideline.
All of the pressure in Ohio is always to beat Michigan.
And everybody knows that Ryan Day doesn't have to go
(07:05):
head to head with Jim Harball, but he does have
to go head to head with the m What does
it mean if Ohio State can't win in the Big House.
Speaker 1 (07:13):
There's a lot of storylines here.
Speaker 4 (07:15):
Which one gets you, guys going, Which one jumps out
and sticks out.
Speaker 1 (07:19):
To you the most? I mean, for me, the fact that.
Speaker 6 (07:27):
For sure the winner of this game is going to
the college football game college football Playoff. The fact that
Michigan has to walk into this game without their head coach,
for me, is crazy.
Speaker 1 (07:44):
And I get it.
Speaker 6 (07:44):
He somebody on his staff and within his staff and
within his program broke the rules. If he had any
knowledge of it, they haven't been given any proof, at
least to the public. I like Ohio State, but I'm
rooting for Michigan now because I just feel like the
(08:07):
way they went about this. Uh, coming into this season,
he was suspended or he was going at it with
the NCAA and he had a self imposed suspension. You
come back, you get rolling, and here they come out
the woodworks again.
Speaker 1 (08:24):
And I've said this before.
Speaker 6 (08:25):
When Michigan was winning eight nine games, nobody cared what
Michigan was doing. As soon as Michigan is competing on
a regular basis for the college football playoffs, here come
all these allegations of them doing this, to them doing that,
and so I don't like it.
Speaker 1 (08:41):
Man.
Speaker 6 (08:42):
Everybody is doing what Michigan is doing. Every Michigan just
did it better than them. That's all it is. They
did something wrong better than everybody else. Man, man bump Michigan.
Speaker 7 (08:51):
Man.
Speaker 5 (08:52):
I'm Ohio State fan today, Man, I don't call them
about them nameless great faces down the road from us
Man were talking about Michigan.
Speaker 1 (09:00):
We w I will say, I don't care who wins
the game. I can't.
Speaker 4 (09:05):
I just feel bad the way that these dudes have
to They got to go into this game without their
head caught.
Speaker 5 (09:10):
This is a huge I don't care nothing about none
of that. It is a huge game. I ain't got
no I ain't got no damn sympathy for them. But
you know, I'm looking at this game, and you know, listen,
I think it's a pretty even match, you know, contest
between you know, offensive offensively and defensive for both teams.
(09:33):
I think if Ohio State really want to win this game,
they got to stop the running game for Michigan Man,
because they just been really just running and shoving the
ball down people throats and they just dominate them like
it people up the line of strimmage. And we were
just talking about a couple of weeks ago, how how J. J.
McCarthy didn't even throw a pass in the whole second
half of this Penn State game. And I think there's
(09:55):
some smoke. I think there's some fires with smoke behind
that we're gonna find out today.
Speaker 1 (10:00):
But I think, you know, they got.
Speaker 5 (10:00):
To shut down this running game and make JJ McCarthy
like to throw this football. And I'm looking at the
college football rankings and I'm saying to.
Speaker 1 (10:08):
Myself, who can the one that lose get in?
Speaker 5 (10:12):
No, they cannot, because because you're looking, you're looking at
what You're looking at Washington they're living and oh they
play Washington State at four o'clock today, and you're looking
at Florida State is playing at Florida today tonight at
seven at seven pm tonight. So you say to yourself,
one of these teams lose and Order State don't have
(10:35):
a chance. Washington or Florida State goes undefeated. You cannot
put a one lost team in the college in the
in the top four for the national championship. If the
game is going to be on the outside looking and
also got a debate Alabama and their strength to schedule
and they what happens with that that they end up
they end up playing Georgia. What So, listen if Washington,
(10:58):
if Washington or floor Da State goes and defeated, they
win today and whoever wins this game will be in
the top four.
Speaker 1 (11:06):
But listen to think about this, if.
Speaker 5 (11:09):
Say, if say, if Michigan loses to Day, Washington lose
the night of rivalry game, and Florida State they have
to go to Gainesville and playing the swamp.
Speaker 1 (11:17):
So now you have three one lost teams.
Speaker 4 (11:20):
Oregon's best one lost team in the country, I think
it's Texas. Nah or I think the best one lost
team is Texas. They lost in triple overtime the best
of the.
Speaker 1 (11:31):
Games teams to Oklahoma.
Speaker 6 (11:32):
Hey, I'll just say this, Oregon might be the best
team in the country.
Speaker 4 (11:37):
I'll say that they might be the best team in
the country. Well, I'm gonna tell y'all who at the best.
Zach Wilson, and he won't be starting this Sunday either.
And so what we're gonna do right here, what we're
gonna do right now is we're gonna take a quick
breather because we're gonna talk about Tim Boyle being named
the starter by the New York g Well like J J. E.

Speaker 1 (14:27):
Post it right after we get off the air.
Speaker 4 (14:30):
Someone that got posted and they're off the air and
they won't be going on the air anytime. And the
foreseeable future is the Jets former starting quarterback Zach Wilson.
He will not be starting. And it is not for
Aaron Rodgers. No, Aaron Rodgers has not made his return.
Fellas it's for.
Speaker 1 (14:51):
Boyl.
Speaker 4 (14:52):
Now is that an exclamation point? Is that a question mark?
Is that three dots? I don't know, but I'll tell
you this. Here's what Robert Sala, the head coaches that
just had to say about the situation.
Speaker 1 (15:05):
We got a decision to go exemble all this week.
You know, just give hi an opportunity, a different style
of quarterback. So really it's just to give him an
opportunity see if we can do some of the offense.
Speaker 4 (15:17):
Let me get y'all the translation. I'm gonna get y'all
my translation, and then y'all.
Speaker 1 (15:20):
Can have it style. Our starter is worse than a
wet part. We can't win with him.
Speaker 4 (15:32):
Our defense has foted their asses off all year, and
we don't have Aaron Rodgers, our supernova that was supposed
to take us to the Promised Land, that's in recovery.
So we're just gonna go with Tim Boyle. Y'all may
know who he is, you may not know who he is,
but you know what we feel like. He gives us
the best opportunity out of our high top draft pick,
(15:53):
Zach Wilson, who has had an opportunity, and in some
cases I would say maybe not even fairly or justly,
you know, putting the box that he's in. But nonetheless,
Robert Salad doesn't like it anymore, he doesn't see it anymore,
doesn't want to do it, and is going with Tim Boyle.
Speaker 1 (16:13):
Where you guys fall on this, I don't get it,
I'll be honest.
Speaker 6 (16:17):
Watching that game yesterday, there's no question in my mind
that Zach Wilson is the best quarterback on that roster.
For Aaron Rodgers isn't healthy, it's no question he can
better to complete a pass. But they didn't get a
first down till in the second half of the game.
They didn't convert a third down till the second half
of the game. Like there's no he. Robert Sala and
(16:41):
the Jets were pressured publicly to bench and Zach Wilson
them dudes ain't better than him.
Speaker 1 (16:49):
Yes, he gets on the.
Speaker 4 (16:50):
Best chance to win by far and away, it's not
even close. And so it just goes the show man
when you when you coach in a mar ark at
like New York, you get all this pressure to do
something that you know isn't the correct and the right
thing to do. And for what you're still gonna lose,
(17:13):
Tim Boyle, Zach Wilson, Uh, you're taking l now. Now,
when Aaron Rodgers come back, things may change. But Zach
Wilson wasn't playing winning football.
Speaker 1 (17:25):
But he was. He had gotten better. He wasn't bad.
Speaker 5 (17:29):
He had got First of all, the guy has not
made it a progress.
Speaker 1 (17:34):
He has not gotten better. No, yeah, yes, he's got better.
How are you.
Speaker 5 (17:38):
Getting better when your last in every statistical category?
Speaker 1 (17:44):
How they got the worst? Yet?
Speaker 5 (17:47):
Wait a minute, wait a minute, you're talking about yesterday
that Tim Boyle was unable to get a first down.
Do you know that Zach Wilson went four eleven last
week on third down? All four eleven?
Speaker 1 (17:59):
Teach, no, no, No, that's a team sport. It's four eleven.
You know he's throwing the ball of dirt.
Speaker 6 (18:06):
Play last week plexical, Buffalo Bill's exactly. Buffalo Bill's defense
is better than Miami Dolphins and they lost.
Speaker 5 (18:12):
That doesn't matter to that. I'm just saying the boy
went four eleven on third down, third down. Because you're
talk about the couldn't complete left yesterday. First of all,
I don't give a damn who you put behind that
officer line.
Speaker 1 (18:24):
It don't matter who. No, it doesn't matter because it
really don't matter matter.
Speaker 5 (18:29):
They don't have fourteen different starting groups in his officive line.
Speaker 1 (18:34):
Fourteen and it's week and eleven.
Speaker 5 (18:36):
So don't sit there and say to me that Zach
Wilson is getting better, because the guy, hey, you know
that he cannot readcoverage this if the game is moving
entirely too fast for him, he's throwing the ball late,
throwing interception, so he has not gotten better. And secondly,
what I'm what I said to myself yesterday watching this game,
(18:58):
and I'm thinking about the thing you have.
Speaker 1 (19:01):
Last season he was in Denvi. We know how that went.
Speaker 5 (19:04):
So now he comes to the New York jests, Aaron
Rodgers comes here, he's no long he's heard, he's no
longer playing.
Speaker 1 (19:10):
And I'm saying to myself, is the.
Speaker 5 (19:13):
Defense is Nathaniel Hackett success singingly hung on the arm
of Aaron Rodgers one thousand.
Speaker 1 (19:22):
That's a deck. You know what that is not a coach? Plexico, plexico.
That is not a coach.
Speaker 5 (19:27):
Coach I supposed to be able to put our half,
a decent quarterback together and a and a game plan
to to overcome the things that he cannot do.
Speaker 1 (19:39):
Tell me that Daniel Hackett is.
Speaker 5 (19:41):
A hell of a coach when all his success has
been from Aaron Rodgers.
Speaker 4 (19:47):
Can you go look at Nathaniel Hackett. Can you go
look at his career, his coaching career when he's not
when he when he doesn't have Aaron Rodgers as his heck,
I mean, as this quarterback from what understand just wanted
Tim Bull to be on this roster because because he
(20:07):
was the backup to Aaron Rodgers and Green Bay.
Speaker 1 (20:10):
When the thing you Hackett was the officive coordinator. And
then the thing your Hackett goes on the record this week.
Speaker 5 (20:15):
Saying there's no other quarterback other than Ann Rodgers that
understands this offense like Aaron Rodgers does. So I'm thinking,
I'm saying to myself that, well, you know what Tom
wr was gonna Tom wa was going to be prepared,
so I expected something better than what I saw yesterday.
So but you're telling me that Zach Wilson is the
best option for this football team. Listen, listen, I think
(20:38):
they I think they got it, they got it right.
But Zach Wilson is no longer going to play quarterback
for this for this franchise. I think the best thing
for them do, being in this New York market, they
should they should just release them because every day Robertson
Joe Douglas in his organization, they are going to after
(21:00):
I said these questions every single day about Zach Wilson
and Robinson, Loa had to stick a stackout for him
because you know what, you drafted them, so you're stuck
with him.
Speaker 1 (21:12):
So the best thing for.
Speaker 6 (21:14):
This team to day, they're not gonna release this because
that's guaranteed money. Why would you release somebody. You still
the boy cannot play football. He got better.
Speaker 4 (21:22):
He is not going to from something you can get.
Speaker 1 (21:26):
Yeah, put kickoff team. Oh wow, he's talking about I
don't want to risk him.
Speaker 4 (21:31):
Look, I think they benched him because they don't run
risking getting hurt. I think they feel good enough about
trading him that there's no reason to risk get the time,
so you don't see him the rest of the.
Speaker 1 (21:42):
It's gonna be to get it big behind it all.
Speaker 4 (21:44):
When you when you look at Nathaniel Hackett's resume, he
was a Buffalo Bill's offensive coordinator.
Speaker 6 (21:50):
One year, Oh they got rid on the Bills are trash.
Twenty thirteen, goes to be the Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback coach. Oh,
we're gonna promote your offensive coordinator. Twenty sixteen to twenty eighteen,
they were trash. They were winning because Leonard Fournette and
they were running the ball. And then he goes to
be the Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator. Oh, Aaron, they
(22:12):
have Aaron Rodgers.
Speaker 4 (22:13):
Like if you look at the Denver Broncos last year
offensively and Russell Wilson, and you look at the Denver
Broncos this year and Russell Wilson. It's a night and
day difference of the offense and the player. And so
to me this falls on Nathaniel Hackett. Not completely. The
(22:36):
player always has to take the majority of the blame,
but the coaching and the play calling and the understanding
of what we're trying to do. He may be a
great dude, but coaching wise, he ain't it.
Speaker 1 (22:50):
Well, I'll tell you what. I'll tell you who is it?
My man?
Speaker 4 (22:54):
Isaac Low and Krown. We're gonna talk some Detroit Lions and.
Speaker 1 (22:57):
Are they it?
Speaker 4 (22:59):
But let's get a little update from the og, the homie,
the best in the game. They call them gots when
where we come from. That's Isaac Lowancraw what you got
call them that.
Speaker 8 (23:09):
Where I come from?
Speaker 1 (23:10):
Too?
Speaker 8 (23:10):
Straight out of line. Happy Thanksgiving to you guys.
Speaker 1 (23:13):
Enough Thanksgiving, sir.
Speaker 8 (23:14):
You got not much to report so far in ann
Arbor because Ohio State and Michigan are scoreless at the
nine minute mark of the first quarter. Right now, Michigan
is second down and nine at their twenty two yard line.
They run it up to their twenty seven, so they're
facing a third down and four. Ohio State three and
out to open the game Michigan a three and out.
(23:35):
Ohio State got one first down and punted, and now
Michigan seeking its first third down to the ballgame moments
from now. Couple of other ranked teams in action right now.
Tenth rank Louisville a seven to nothing lead over Kentucky,
three and a half left to play in the first quarter.
Number fourteen LSU up seven to nothing over Texas A
and M with two forty one left to play in
the first quarter. We have some NFL news today. Jets
(23:58):
head coach Robert Sala said that Tim Boyle will once
again started a quarterback for the Jets next week against
the Atlanta Falcons. A short time ago, the Cincinnati Bengals
officially placed Joe Burrow on injured reserve and activated quarterback
aj mcchern from their practice squad to the active roster
for their game tomorrow against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and ESPN
reported that the New England Patriots have waived quarterback Will Greer. Meanwhile,
(24:22):
back we go to ann Arbor. Michigan came up short
on third down, so they have a fourth down and
two from their twenty nine yard line, nine and a
half left to play in the first quarter, no score
between Michigan and Ohio State, and the Wolverine's about to
punt the ball away, so no first downs for them
through their first two possessions.
Speaker 1 (24:43):
Fellas all yours, thanks Zyler.
Speaker 4 (24:45):
Can you imagine mat Ohio State has two Styles, the
Styles Brothers. So I'm from Pittsburgh, and if you're from Pittsburgh,
there's a small town called Farrell, Pennsylvania. They play some
hell of five football in Farrell. And there was a
dude named Lorenzo Styles, one of the dopest linebackers, dopest
athletes to come from WESPA. A lot of people don't
(25:07):
talk about him or remember them, but dude was a baller,
went to Ohio State, plate linebacker at Ohio State. Now
he's got two sons out of Ohio State balling. Man,
is that crazy? Like could you imagine having like your
your baby's playing at such a high level like we're
starting to see it emerged, you know quite a bit.
You got Trotter, he's his son is the best linebacker
(25:30):
and pretty much in the country right now. You got
Marvin Marvin Harrison Junior, he's out there. There's a lot
of a lot of guys that have sons that that
are straight ballers.
Speaker 6 (25:42):
I think it's gonna be a Arrington and the Boroughs.
Speaker 1 (25:45):
They lost last night to Yorupa. They lost, they shouldn't
have lost too.
Speaker 4 (25:49):
He snapped out though he's been on I don't know
that there's anybody better than him on defense out there
right now. He's played like that, he's he been snapped
and dog he's I mean, the stuff he's doing though,
it's like, okay, well they were playing in level eight,
you know, it's not that's not level one, that's not
Section one. But the things you see him do, like
(26:12):
he was making plays and they had a really good,
good team, good running back he was. He was coming
from the opposite side of the ball and getting a
guy for like a two two yard game, and I
mean it was he was like exploding, like he kind
of be finishing the way that his old man used
(26:32):
to finish.
Speaker 1 (26:33):
Man. He finishes the plays. Now. He wasn't a finisher
earlier in the year. He just wasn't. He wasn't a finisher.
He did keep him out at Chargeah yeah, yeah, that's yeah, yeah,
I'm gonna keep it there.
Speaker 5 (26:46):
I mean, I'm also excited for this week, Man, my
son is playing for a second state championship, this time
on Giant Stadium.
Speaker 1 (26:54):
Oh and good luck, good luck, good luck second two
times in a row. Man trying to get them boys
might end up at the same school.
Speaker 4 (27:03):
We might be doing the shows live from on site
of watching them boys play.
Speaker 1 (27:07):
Man, you just never know. This is just how it works.
Sometimes you know, you just never know. Me just never know.
Speaker 4 (27:13):
And speaking of just never know, the Packers beat the
Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving. That had to come as a
shocker to pretty much anybody who has not been I
guess a Green Bay fan, but probably was a shocker
(27:35):
to them as well. But it always leads to the question,
there's certain teams that when something happens, the first thing
you say, are they fools gold? Are they for real?
Speaker 1 (27:48):
Now?
Speaker 4 (27:48):
You gave Arizona fools gold last year? I do believe
plex is this team fools gold? And keep in mind
we got Chris Purfett, who is a Detroit Lions expert
on the team listening in to our responses that I
can't wait to hear his rebuttal or his his response
(28:08):
to what we have to say.
Speaker 5 (28:09):
Fools gold or are they for real, one hundred percent
fool's gold.
Speaker 1 (28:15):
I've been telling everybody.
Speaker 5 (28:16):
I said, listen, listen, the Detroit Lines are playing in
the worst possible division in all of football. Let's give
them that they're going to win this division because the
division is so trash. But I've been saying every since
the season started, let me see who the Detroit Lines
are after Thanksgiving, because they never went on Thanksgiving and.
Speaker 1 (28:42):
We had a show earlier this week.
Speaker 5 (28:44):
So they pointed out to me, like this waxing Gibbings
moon that they play under on Thanksgiving, they're owing thirteen win.
This moon is displaying itself to the world, so they
own thirteen. And I'm saying in my self that Detroit
Line stops selling US Wolf tickets. About where you are
(29:07):
and Dan Campbell, listen, he's coming there and created a
brand new culture for this team and this organization. But
you're losing to bad football teams. Last week, you came
out with a nail bider. You had to have a
game winning drive against Chicago Bears, who is not a
very good football team, and then Yester, then on Thursday,
you play against the Green Bay Packers. They're Form six
(29:29):
football team and they just pretty much go up and
down a football field like you were supposed to have
this start, this elite defense, which obviously has some holes
in it, and after watching this game on Thursday, you
just cannot trust the Detroit lines. They are going to
be that team who are They'll probably finish the season
(29:53):
just that there were eleven and six or twelve and
five or whatever case may be, and they're going to
go out in the first round of the playoffs because
you just can't trust them to win a game that they.
Speaker 1 (30:05):
Need and not to take any what.
Speaker 6 (30:10):
No, listen, Detroit Lions, when when when you are competing
for the number one seed in the a f C
where you were, I mean the NFC you were.
Speaker 1 (30:21):
You're a good football team.
Speaker 4 (30:23):
But they're not on the level of the Philadelphia Eagles,
the Niners, and the Dallas Cowboys. They not on that level.
Speaker 1 (30:33):
Them Cowboys is balling man right now. The Lions.
Speaker 6 (30:38):
You can't lose to a Green Bay Packer team on
Thanksgiving if you're for real, you just can't. Not no
vent no, you can't lose that game. And it was
they got blown out. They got blown out. That wasn't
And so they're a good team. The Detroit Lions have
(30:59):
come a long way. Dan Camp was transformed that organization,
But you cannot lose to a Green Bay Packer team
that has been struggling pretty much the entirety of the season. Yeah,
they've played better the last few weeks of the season.
I wouldn't call them fools gold, but I'm very concerned
(31:19):
that come playoff time they may win one game.
Speaker 4 (31:24):
Nah, they won't win a game. I would black score.
They're not winning a game in the playoffs. Oh not,
won't win a game.
Speaker 1 (31:30):
Chris Purfect, what you get the last word on this?
Behore we go. What's your take?
Speaker 9 (31:35):
Honestly, I almost feel like I have to defend the
Packers here. They've won three of the last four. They
beat the hell out of the Rams, and this is
the title Rams. Sure, but this is the time Jordan
Love kind of like young quarterbacks get into their groove.
I think the problem is you watch that game and
you saw the same problems the Lions were having with
the Bears. They won that game, but it's the same
(31:55):
sort of problems on a short rest week where it's like,
all right, there's something, there is something going on here.
I don't know if they're fools Gold. Yet they're eight
and three. They're clearly not at that same tier. I
agree with TJ on this that of like the forty
nine Ers or the Eagles, they're not complete. Their defense
has always kind of been suspect, they're getting no pass rush,
but these last two games, now now you've got suspect
(32:16):
pass protection and Jared Goff looking shaky. Maybe the loss
is a good thing for them and that'll kick their
ass in gear a little bit, But in general, it's
I don't know, They're they're eight and three and they're
gonna have these matchups with the Vikings. They do need
to fix something up. But I do think they're a
playoff contender, but not a Super Bowl contender. And I
(32:38):
felt that way before the season too. I just they
just they're they're not a complete team like the Philadelphia's
and the forty nine ers of the world.
Speaker 5 (32:46):
Yeah, so I'm looking to beat to Alliance. The rest
of the rest of their schedule. They go to Chicago,
which is yeah, but yeah, they go to Minnesota and Dallas,
and out of these last five games, they could probably
lose another two or three games. And just watching this
game on on Thursday and watching Jared Goff. I mean,
(33:07):
let's beat let us remind ourselves that this is Jared
Goff is still the same quarterback who was traded from
the Los Angeles Ram that matter Davi took to the
super Bowl.
Speaker 1 (33:18):
I mean, just don't act like this guy.
Speaker 5 (33:21):
Is this a super elite quarterback who you can trust
going forward in the playoffs.
Speaker 9 (33:28):
He had a really long streak without turning the ball over,
and this feels like the streak kind of gets He.
Speaker 1 (33:33):
Had three turnovers last week.
Speaker 9 (33:35):
Yeah, and this one is just he's getting hit off
the blind side. The Packers defense really really have them
figured out. And as you guys know, it's divisional games.
These things are always for a team like the super
Bowl to go after them.
Speaker 1 (33:48):
They've been struggling.
Speaker 4 (33:49):
Yeah, they beat the Ram, but they the Packers hadn't
beaten a playoff caliber team. And you're gonna do the
Lions the way like that on National to US stand
alone game on Thanksgiving. You can't lose that the Lions.
Speaker 9 (34:04):
The line should not have lost that game, like, and
their defense was even giving them a chance to get
back in it. But then seven of fifteen on third down,
one of five on fourth down in an awful fake
punch that that Even Dan Campbell was like, I should
not have done that. They had chances to get back
in this and they blew themselves up. They shot themselves
in the foot repeatedly on this.
Speaker 5 (34:26):
But I will say this about Jordan Love Man, everybody
has been destroying this guy the whole entire season. He's
not the guy, He's not the franchise guy. Are we
going to keep people talking about? The Green Bay Packers
are going to move on for him? Listen the way
he played on Sunday on Thursday. If this man continues
to make that kind of progress, Man that he was
(34:47):
compled in the pocket.
Speaker 1 (34:48):
He was extremely accurate.
Speaker 5 (34:50):
He ran, He ran the offense like as smooth as
that can be ran. If he keeps playing like that,
then the Green Bay Packers have their franchise quarterback.
Speaker 1 (35:00):
Mm hmm. Well, listen the Dolphins.
Speaker 4 (35:03):
They won that game against the Jets, as we know
discussed earlier, but they lost Jalen phillips Man. So while
the Jets lost, uh, met Life Field Turf is winning,
it's on a tear, it's taking off.
Speaker 1 (35:19):
Did I.
Speaker 4 (35:21):
Well Metlight Stadium Turf? It could be the MVP for
the new York teams. But we'll talk about that on
the other side of this break. It's up on games
Fox Sports Radio. Will be right back. Ah, come on,
come on, everyone singing with me, Let's do this.
Speaker 1 (35:41):
It's Christmas time for least Navi. That hey, hey, for
least Navi. That, hey, for least Navid that. I don't
know the rest of the words, but it's Palice Navid.
Speaker 4 (35:54):
Yeah, all right, I want to win shooting me.
Speaker 1 (35:58):
Yeah, I know that part. I know that part, and
I know this part.
Speaker 4 (36:02):
The melting pot that we are in in California, baby.
Speaker 1 (36:05):
You know what?
Speaker 4 (36:05):
And I have been melted down for certain Welcome back in.
It's up on Game Live from the Tyraq dot Com studio.
I'm LeVar Arrington.
Speaker 1 (36:16):
It's t J. Huchman Zada, It's Plexico Birds. We are well.
We're capping off this top.
Speaker 4 (36:22):
Of the hour, end of the hour, I should say,
with Dolphins talk now. They got a big win, but
they did have a costly loss and losing linebacker Jalen
Phillips to an achilles injury.
Speaker 1 (36:34):
Mmm. Sound a little curious there. Who else hurt their
achilles on Metlane?
Speaker 4 (36:40):
Anyway, So Jalen Phillips had this to say on his
ex or Twitter, whatever we call it, whatever it is.
Speaker 1 (36:47):
These days. Absolutely devastated, but I feel.
Speaker 4 (36:51):
Strengthened knowing that this is all part all a part
of God's plan, and that I have an incredible team
and support system around me. I'll be back stronger than ever.
Fins up, shots, out thoughts, out positive thoughts to you,
Jalen Phillips, get better, Get well, fellas.
Speaker 1 (37:10):
I mean, just real quick. It's a short segment.
Speaker 4 (37:12):
But how how how critical, how costly is it when
you lose a guy like Phillips that that brings that
you know, that production and brings that that that heart
and soul to your defense after you plex.
Speaker 5 (37:29):
Oh man, it's it's a Listen. The guy's playing at
the all pro level this year. Man, there's no doubt
about it. You know, he's one of the top defenders
and all in all the football. And you know, I've
played in this I've played in this venue, I've played
in this arena. I know exactly how it feels. The
turf absolutely sucks. It's terrible. It's just not a good surface.
(37:50):
So it needs to change, and it needs to happen fast.
I think the owners need to get together Woody Johnson
and John Merrill and figure out what is the best
play for this They moving forward, And I'm gonna say this,
I think moving forward the players around the league. If
(38:11):
I'm a player that is off of the contract or
whatever the case may be, and I have the chance
to go play for the Jets with the Giants.
Speaker 1 (38:17):
I want that clause in there.
Speaker 5 (38:19):
I don't believe that players are going to be excited
to come here to play on this turf. I mean,
why would you based off of what we have been
able to see over the last couple years, with these injuries, With.
Speaker 6 (38:31):
The amount of injuries that they've had on that turf recently,
the amount of complaints from players. Should do you got
to look into doing something asap. And oh, the ground
is expensive. If you can do it for the World Cup,
you can do it for your own players. True, he's
a young player in this third year that had this happen.
It sucks, but there's so many complaints about it. They
(38:54):
need to find a way to fix it. I hope
they do fix it. Fix it for them Jesus.
Speaker 4 (39:00):
But what Plexic coaches said is a great point. Let's
the free agents stop signing new York where now you
have to overpay because of that turf.
Speaker 1 (39:09):
Don't fix it then.
Speaker 4 (39:10):
Oh absolutely well, I'll tell you we're gonna fix it
an hour two if anything was broken. But that's what
it is. This up on Game, that's TJ, that's PLEX.
I'm LeVar Mans. Fox Sports Radio will be right back
