Draft Kings dot com for details. Uh, it's draft week, y'all.
It's draft week, and I want to talk wide receivers.
And who better to talk wide receivers with then, well,
the guys that are on this show. I got my
man t J with me. I'm not sure if I
have stretched arms strong it will be momentarily, but for now,
(02:14):
I got pantin Man himself of the clean uh ponytail
wearing uh the running routes as smooth as his hair looks. Uh.
Mr t J. Hushman's out of How how are you doing?
Friend man? I like that King of the almost I
like I like that. I like that. How I really
do like that. But I'm doing well. How about yourself?
(02:35):
I'm feeling I'm feeling really good, my friend, I'm feeling
you know what I mean. I'm like, I'm feeling like
a million bucks, you know what I mean. And I
just want to know how how this whole wide receiver class.
I know you're working with one of the white receivers
that's gonna be in the dry, but I just want
to get your take on how this wide receiver class
(02:56):
looks because it's a deep one for this this year's draft, LaVar.
It's this is what's It's gonna be a deep draft
every year for receiving. And the reason is guys are
just coming in college better than when we came into college,
so forth and so on. So that means they're gonna
(03:16):
get better and they come into the league better. With
with the advancement of social media and everything being instant,
you can train with guys. I mean, you get guys
in high school that will be out here training with
my guys that are in the NFL, and so they
see that type of work. They're working with those guys
and seven on seven circuit quarterbacks and receivers are getting
(03:40):
so many routes and throws that you're just going to
be better from it. So I see every year it's
gonna be a deep receiver class. The separation comes mentally
and how can you handle adversity that because I tell
my guys all the time, when you go from high
school to college, these young receivers that are really good,
(04:03):
they want to kill guys at the line of script.
I'm like, bro, when you get to the league, you're
not killing anybody. You just gotta win. You gotta understand
zone defense where devoiding his own is gonna be who's
gonna replace who? If they fire zone, let you and
how to that's the next level. The guys that can
get to that without thinking, we always call that thinking
without thinking, just react and play. Those are gonna be
(04:24):
the guys that have success. We gotta stretched in the
in the building. Now, what what is your yeah? Yeah?
What what's your first initial reaction to this year's draft
class of wide receivers? Man, the really talented. I think
(04:46):
that this new generation of of wide receiver, they have
taken a game to the next level of how we
used to play the game. You know, a plex Let
me cut you off real quick, Hey, to more I
think about it. LaVar Drake damn near remind me of plex.
To be honest with you, Yeah, it's crazy because I
run into these young receivers. Man, they tell you how
(05:07):
much love they have for for us, and they watched
they watched us, you know, growing up. You know, they
these guys assimilating their games after you know o Cho
and you know TiO and Randy myself and all of
these guys, and it seems like like there it's a better,
different generation of athletes. They catch the ball better, they're faster,
(05:31):
they're quicker at the line of scrimmage, and they're doing
all these you know, I mean, making the one hand
to catch back then was like absolutely spectacular, but now
making one hand catches has become routine. The guys are
actually practicing, you know, how to make these catches with
with one hand. But this class man is I mean,
just just look at the wide receiver room that Ohio
(05:52):
State hand last year. Let's talk about three first rounders
on the team at the same time. And my son, man,
he loves this guy. Olave A. Man, I think he's
going to be the star of this group. For some
strange reason, we don't know how Jamison Willis is going
to heal up after the A c L tail and
he is cold blooded. But I think, you know, going
(06:14):
into this season, I think Chris Olivea is gonna be
the gym of this group. Man. He's a long strider.
I think he ran like a four or three nine
that is pro day. He's six too, So I think
he's gonna be the best of the group so far.
You know what, got saw a lot of go ahead.
It really boils down to which team these guys get to.
(06:35):
It really boils down to the team, the quarterback, the system.
Because I actually me personally, I would take Garrett Wilson
over alive me. Well, Garrett Wilson is the highest on
the board going into the draft, right, Drake London the
best one. If Jamison Williams isn't hurt. Nobody's talking about
George Pickens, he can play. Nobody's talking about him. That
(06:56):
boy can play. In m Julish Smith had the Bowl
game that he did, got he got another year plex
he in college. I know that, That's what I'm saying.
And they got Marvin Harrison junior on the roster also
and Jake but came out here man and I worked
with him for a couple of weeks. He can go,
(07:20):
he can go. He was, didn't you have Drake London too? Yeah,
I trained. I've been training to Drake since h No.
You know he broke his leg in November and October
had surgery and November. So the good part about it
was December and January. We did a lot of mental work.
I'm going over front idea and the Mike uh protections
understanding zone defense. So we did a lot of mental
(07:42):
work and then we got on the field. Like I
was shocked, man at how to dude six five in
moves to drop his weight. And I was shocked in
reference to what you just said, t J. You haven't
been working him out, you haven't been coaching him. You
have been teaching him how to play the game of football.
And that's one of the that's that's one of the
(08:03):
little details that that seems to get away from the
younger generation players. I d and Mike's all. You know
what shocked me Man? I said when when we did it,
I said, it was a Monday. I said, when you
watch TV and you see the quarterbacks say fifty two
is the Mike do you know what that means. Man.
(08:24):
He looked at me like I was speaking the language
he had never heard. I said, y'all didn't really like
be taught that at that So he was like, no,
not at all. So then I was explaining it to him,
and you come back Tuesday and you kind of do
a refresher because you kind of forget something. And then
after a while he got it. Six man protection scatt
max protected sliper going over everything because I want him
(08:47):
to understand football. Yeah, they don't. They don't teach that
the days in college. I think it's one of the
things that's kind of hindering the progression of the college
football players because the coaches are basically all in the
place from the sideline with all these big boards hanging
up with the pictures and everything on it, and the
quarterbacks are not h They don't know what the defense
(09:10):
is because they're diagnosing and seeing what the defense is
because they're not making audibles because the coaches calling the
place from the sideline. And that's one of the things
that I think for the wide receivers in the quarterbacks
going to the next level, that's those are the kind
of things that hurt them. And in the progression. Let
(09:32):
me throw this one. Let me let me throw this
one after you, guys, Johan Dotson, like, let's let's talk
about I was waiting on your ninny lion to come in.
I was waiting. I know I sound biased bringing him
up and into the conversation, but I gotta share. I
I mean, I've seen him play numerous times in person.
(09:54):
His body control, his his ability to run routes, the
way he stems. He has a great quickness. Oh he
it's deceptive too, It's very deceptive. I mean, as he
to me, I think he is a I think he's
a still. He may not, and I would say, um
(10:14):
that that the prognosticators have got it right with you know,
Garrett Wilson and a lava like I've watched a lot
of all a lava as well. Um, But but John
is I think he could be the still. Maybe not
the highest rate of coming in, but the still. What
would you guys say to that if you guys have
seen him play. I've seen a few games, and I
(10:37):
watched probably film of about twenty five or thirty receivers um,
just trying to compare see who does what well and
things of that nature. I like him. He's staying he's
on a smaller side. Uh, when you talk height and weight,
not not over he's only he's only five. Not an
overly big guy. UM, but he has real good quickness,
(11:00):
real good athleticism. And it's kind of if I could
give them, give you a comparison of a guy that
plays in the league or played in the league, I
would say, kind of reminds me maybe of Emmanuel Sanders. Thin, quick, fast,
could play UM. Just just just the build, just the
(11:21):
building and how they move. UM. But I think you
can play Penn State. For the most part. They've done
a good job. But when their receivers get to the league,
they play well. They they do a good job in
the NFL. But when you're when you're looking and you're
comparing him to alb Alby is a thinner guy, but
he's taller. UM had more success in college. I don't
(11:44):
know how Jamison Williams couldn't get on the field out
Ohio State the way he looked and what he did
at Alabama. But that's another story. But it's what what
plex and we were talking. Just guys are coming in
so much better than we ever did. But the kids
you want to get to if I can, if I'm
(12:05):
a receiver, I'm praying that I dropped to the Green
Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers because I got a chance
right away to do something and be special right away.
I got a chance. And so it's more about fit,
um then where it's all about fit for wide receivers.
That's one of the things that have that that that
that these young gentlemen have to understand playing playing this game,
(12:28):
is that it's all about fit and uh Draymond Green
talked about it last year and drafting players and and
and and sending players to different teams, and when the
player doesn't get there and performing the way that you
think he's performed, you call him a bus And now
he goes and then he goes to another team and
the guy's an All Star. So it's always about fit
(12:49):
for the wide receivers, especially what's going on in the
day's market with the current wide receivers. Listen, it's all
about fit. The guys are trying to get paid. I
understand that because it Listen, if you go to it,
if you go into a situation to where Listen, when
I came into the league in two thousand. I went
to the Pittsburgh Stealers. They really wouldn't nor with throwing
(13:10):
the football because you knew that just wrong. Bets going
to get the ball thirty thirty times a game. Those
those days are are no longer with us. So it's
all about going to a team that's going to utilize
your talents and so you can flourish and and become
maybe a great wide receiver one day. M hmm. All right,
(13:34):
well it'll be interesting to see how that all plays out.
I'll tell you that much, but uh yeah, it would
be good. It's Draft week, as we mentioned, and listen,

up Deebo Samuel's he wants out this week. He has
requested for a trade, and it begs the question, you
know how much of this has to do with Mike
McDaniel being gone? I'm curious or is it a contract issue?
More Receiver talks well, two of the best to ever

Al Right, everybody, welcome back into the show. We do
have a lot to it too. We do have a
lot to get to. All right. We'll have Rep. Butler
coming on and just less than uh well six seven
minutes uh to talk about the Tyson Fury uh Dillian
(17:12):
White heavyweight title fight that should be coming on here
and another uh well hour and a half, so we'll
get his thoughts and opinions on that. And Drew Brees
uh he has some real strong opinions about a mistake
he believes that the Saints are making. We'll get to
that right around nine forty h twelve forty five if
that's uh you're sitting in the East coast on Eastern
(17:33):
Standard time. But right now, let's talk about my man
Deebo Samuel Fellis. He's requested a trade and you know
that rabbit hole just got deeper this week. What was
your guys first initial reaction to a dude? Do you
guys think this is a good move on his behalf
or you know, what's your take to me? It's just
(17:55):
one why nobody outside of himself, his representation in the
forty nine is know why, what is the reason? Um, why,
after you've had a career year do you want out?
And the first thing I thought of was simply, ah,
(18:18):
they didn't offer from the contract. He wants it, and
they're saying it's not about the money. But we know
it's always about the money. And so that that's all
I can think of. You had a career year. Yeah
they used you as a running back, but dude, on
you had two hundred some yards rushing. If I'm not mistaken,
just under three hundred yards rushing. And so church you
you you weren't used as a running back a ton
(18:40):
down the stretch. They use you, and I I believe
that when they did that, it looked it made people
look at them in a different like man like damn
deep bo can really really play football. And so I
want to know why, because you gotta be careful and
(19:01):
if you got some good where you at and they're
willing to pay you, stay, they know you better than anybody.
You start going other places and what you do on
the field could possibly slept. But I just want to
know why. It doesn't make sense to me. Listen, I
understand you know, wanting to be in a better situation
(19:23):
for yourself to see your career, you know, take the
next step. But for me, looking at the way that
the voting down has utilized him, I don't think. I
don't think he's going to get better production going anywhere else,
maybe other than Kansas City. That's the only only other
team that makes sense for me. But just like t
J said, man coming off of that year, and like
(19:45):
you didn't get off of the contract going into your
final of your season, I wanted to be off of
the contract going into the final year, my my fifth
year with the Stealers, but it didn't happen. So what
I do. I went into the off season propelled myself
to have the best of my career. That was my mindset.
But I think the whole, the whole trade and sign
(20:06):
up Devontee Adams and Stefon Diggs and these guys getting
paid has sent it has sent the wide received marking
into an absolute frenzy because these guys are telling the teams,
you know what, it's not about you, us about me.
I want to get paid and I want to get paid.
Now they're going about their business differently than what we
(20:26):
are used to with the social media Instagram and all
these kind of things, because it's basically a marketing two
in itself. Now, But listen, man like, create a foundation.
You're you're having to your career is off to a
great start. Why break up a marriage that you have?
It makes no sense. Pleasure are they are utilizing you
(20:48):
to the best of their ability, and you're like, you're
a star and and and in San Francisco. Why would
you want to go anywhere else? They'll start all over
They don't understand. And man Like, when you leave a
team after you've had success, those coaches gotta learn you.
And you can say, oh, yeah, Miami McDaniel, they know him,
(21:10):
all the other coaches don't. Everybody's not gonna know him.
You're not gonna have that that same system, that same
play calling at the right time, right moment. Like, if
you're having success, you guys gotta be careful what you're asking.
That's just speaking from experience. Man Like, you start to
leave and you look back and say, damn, why I
(21:32):
do that? You can't go back and change it. It's over.
And so my advice is, if there's a way to
make it work, make it work. Because the year you
just had, I don't foresee it stopping. But where's he
gonna go? Where he's gonna get get that kind of production? Teacher?
I don't know, And there's not many teams. It's okay,
we're gonna put our receiver in the backfield and let
(21:53):
him go to work. We're gonna give you this many catches.
We're gonna fight. Let me ask you'll Robert sala he
took He took a uh, the offensive coach with him
to New York. New York is a great market. New
York is a market. We're not talking about the market.
We talk the market. Don't matter if you don't have
a production. Why y'all screaming at me, We're talking about
(22:17):
a market. All I'm trying to ask is is if
Debo went there knowing that he's familiar with Sili. He said,
what's the old c's name that that came there from?
Uh isn't anyway, I can't remember his name. It's a
terrible move. Just they barely have an offense and a quarterback.
But they're trying to figure it doesn't be a horrible move.
(22:39):
It would be a horrible offensive coordinator is Laflo? Yeah?
And he came from San France. Right, Yes, he did. Yes,
So he's familiar with Debo and maybe he's looking at
it from the standpoint of with Zach Wilson being there
and being younger, bringing in a guy that that is dynamic,
is Debo? Is that could change the fortune? This this
(23:02):
this team. Listen, if I'm looking at myself and joining
another team, I'm looking at I'm looking at the position
that I'm put putting myself into. If he puts it,
he puts himself into the position to go to the
New York Jets. Who are the other players are on
the offense that are going to take the pressure off
of him. He's going to be the sole focused on
(23:22):
Trent Williams on that offensive line. They don't they don't happen.
So he's gonna he's gonna be the sole focused on
that offense. And now now you go from you know,
being a superstar to be you know what, I'm getting
double team. I'm getting a triple team. I'm not having
the production I was having in San Francisco because you
(23:42):
got all pro tight end in San Francisco. That's helping
you perform and get to where you want to go.
But to go to the New York Jets. And to
say that, say that you're going going to be the
same player, that is not going to happen. You know
what's interesting. What's happening is receivers are starting to realize
that their value is pretty much just as high as quarterbacks. Paul,
(24:05):
They're not They're stuck. I'm just saying. Receiver has always
been made to part of any office. Listen, if you
name the top five NFL teams in football right now,
you can name the number one wide receiver on that team.
I do not disagree with that. I do not disagree
(24:26):
with what you guys are saying. I am ultimately disagreeing
with the value proposition being different. It is now going up.
But there they are now asserting themselves in a way
where they're forcing and demanding the type of value and
approach that quarterbacks are spoiled. And now it's just getting worse.
(24:48):
And y'all get it. I can't even imagine y'all on
this day. But you know what they say to Olivar
when the when the team isn't playing well, the quarterback
isn't doing well, what do they We gotta get some weapons.
You're trying to do were getting some receivers. As soon
as you're getting some receivers. Oh man, this quarterback is fantastic. Man,
the guys just he's you throw me a slap for
seven Plexico takes it for seventy five. Oh man, that
(25:11):
was a great throw. Who did the word? Really? One
hand catch for eight yards? Really, it makes no sense
to have a five one million on a quarterback if
you ain't nobody to throw the ball too well. I
appreciate hearing that from from two receivers. Everyone out there here,
you cross over on the other side of the ball. Yeah,
get it. Hey, Lavard, he wasn't so big outside a far.
(25:37):
If he wasn't so big up top, you could have
played receivers with us. Baby pause. He said he was
a tail back. The problem with you're throwing out out
there is that that you're insinuating that I got a
little bottom and I ain't. Okay, but let's talk about me, tread.
You said I got a big top, but I got
(25:59):
a hey bottom. Hey all, I'm going off going off
of what you have always said. That's that's all. I
do have little legs, And I'll tell you who's strong,
and they're strong with updates. Let's go our man, Isaac Long.
What's happening, Isaac trending? What you got? I got you?
Being a right about being strong every day the leg
(26:21):
day over here, ladies. That's right, that's right. He found
a supporter. What you got? One supporter is all I need.
That's all I need. We start, fellas in the NBA,
where Yahoo Sports reports that Joel m Beat of the
Philadelphia seventy Sixers intends to play today in Game four
the playoffs at Toronto, but plans to have an m
(26:43):
R I on his right thumb. Upon the Sixers returned
to Philadelphia after the ball game. Philadelphia leads the series
three games to none. Tip off about ninety minutes from now.
Some rough news just coming down from Major League Baseball Baltimore, Orioles.
Ace John Means just announced on Twitter that he will
need Tommy John surgery, ending his two season after just
(27:05):
two starts. Means was an All Star in and pitched
a no hitter for Baltimore last May. And Miguel Cabrera
of the Detroit Tigers will once again go for career
hit number three thousand today, Detroit hosting the Colorado Rockies
thirty five minutes from now. Cabrera batting third in the
Tiger's lineup today, so we tracking that for you as
(27:28):
that game gets underway. Fells back to you appreciate it.
We're trying to track my man ret Reet Butler down
from uh Pretty Left Hook podcast to talk about this Tyson.
This Tyson Fury the kitten. What's his name? Many Dillian
the body Snatcher. It's Dillian, That's how he wants it
(27:50):
pronounced Dillian the body Snatcher. White one would know it
would be t J. Hushman's ada. That's the That's the
true story of it all right now, I'm I'm interested
to hear what has to say. But I know that
you guys are both fight enthusiasts as well. The fight
is about to come on because it's in London, so
that that's that's pretty cool. Did not have a late fight.
(28:11):
What are you guys expecting and watching this WBC heavyweight
title fight? Me, I'm excited for it all all boxing matches.
Like last week, we didn't, we didn't speak much about
it out there. I'm sorry, but I'm looking forward to
to watching this. It was this promotion was a little different,
(28:32):
just to kind of fill people in white is a talker.
Uh loves talk. He's Jamaican dude raising London, England. But
he didn't really participate in the promotion, which is uh,
if you know why he that's not what he does,
like he gonna talk trash. He didn't participate in the
promotion because he was upset about his split in his person.
(28:57):
He didn't like what he was getting. So he's like, Okay,
ye're not gonna give me what I and I'm not
gonna participate in none of this. I will not be here.
But there they for none of that. They've sparred together
numerous rounds. I'm gonna guess probably over two hundred. Tyson
Fury normally is a trash talker, hasn't been talking trash.
(29:20):
I don't know if he feels like he can't get
in his head. He respects him from their time training.
There's a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes
with Tyson Fury and his management company. Um Daniel Kinnahan.
Is is he affiliated with him? Is he not affiliated
with him? Um? Just look that name up and you'll
see where I'm going with that. And so there's a
(29:40):
lot of underlying things. But as far as the fight.
I'm not actually looking forward to it because Tyson Fury.
Everybody holds him in such higher regard because of what
he did Deontay Wilder before he wasn't nobody looked at
Tyson Fury the way we look at him now before
Deontay Wilder. I believe White is gonna put up a
(30:01):
much better fight than people believe in give him credit for. Um,
I'm not a hundred percent salt on Tyson Fury. Tyson
Fury is a big dude. I want to see how
he's gonna fight White. He's not gonna approach it the
same way he approached Wilder. I don't believe he will.
Let's bring in Rhett Butler from Pretty Left Hook podcast. Rhett,
you heard what TJ saying. We'll get to to plex
(30:23):
and hear what he has to say about the fight. What.
What are the implications of this fight? What's on the line?
What are we looking for? Give us, give us the
rundown on all of his good brother absolutely and t
J great assessment. I agree with a lot of those points. Um,
this is an all British fight. This is gonna be
major first and foremost. To TJ's point, Yes, Tyson. Fury
(30:44):
has gotten a crazy, crazy uplift and popularity since Wilder.
But let's not forget this man has been basically on
a US tour selling his brand. But Brittain is where
he's from. This man is one of the fighting Fury.
He comes from the bare knuckle business. Is Daddy the
big boxer. They traveled as gypsies. The fan is the
whole deal. He's snatched, he's he's Brad Pitt's character and
(31:07):
snatched straight up just turned a pro. And also he
was named after Mike Tyess, so understand like the kid
was built from the beginning to be a fighter. A brother.
On top of that, Billian White is from Brixton, if
y'all don't know, that's like the Harlem of London. This
guy's official and more than that, his signature phrase let's
(31:29):
go is the main thing for British boxing. So these
guys have effectively sold out what was an eighty five
thousand feeder. They had to expand it bar to ninety
four thousand seats Wimbley Stadium. Like we're not getting the
impact because we used to be US fights. People don't
understand this is like super Bowl for them of boxing
(31:51):
because type of back and Billian White and such a
um charismatic figure, and he goes hard. And remember Dillian White,
the first loss was Anthony Joshua. So for this whole
time they've been builing up this heavyweight bizarre so to speak,
in the UK of Joshua Fury, Dillian White, Um, Derek
(32:12):
to Shore like they have a great heavyweight spectrum over there.
So this fight has huge implications. Of course, Tyson theory,
WBC heavyweight title and the ring title are on the line,
and if he is successful, Um, the next fight he
would have and or Dillian White, if he's successful, would
be the winner of Anthony Joshua versus. You see what Fury.
You see what Fury is saying though, huh, Fury is
(32:34):
saying this is last fight, I'm done. He thinks that
Anthony Joshua is not gonna be man. Listen, it is
no way he can retire and not fight Joshua. No way.
Who else is left Anthony Joshua, Anthony Joshua, he doesn't
fight them, just like you said, there's no he can't
do that. There's just no Anthony and they can do
(32:55):
what he wanted. I mean he can, but it's not
gonna It's not Mike to him up on that airplane.
I mean, maybe maybe he'll come out of and give
that man some work. Mike Tyson has never retired. Just
I mean he's type and fury. Listen, boxers get bored.
(33:18):
You guys know what it's like to have an off season.
They get bored. You know a lot of time in
between fights. I think Typon gets bored and when there's
no action, he gets tired of the game. But Tyson,
all he's ever been bred to do is fight. I
don't think the man is gonna retire. I just think
he believes that Antie Johns is not gonna be Alexander Usik.
And I don't think he thinks the US fight is
(33:38):
a good fight for him. Um, not only just stilistically,
but I think monetarily um to big point earlier Type
theory is getting eighty per cent of the purse bit
On next, so he's gonna get like point five million dollars, okay, Um,
his promoter won the person bid at forty one million,
Jillian wife only getting seven point four. You know, whoever
wins gets an additional four point one, So you know
(34:00):
it's all upside right, like he's going home getting big bread.
He's selling out a hunt thousand seater. It's crazy. Listen,
Tyson Ferry, I don't believe this is really going to
be a contest. Just like you said, he's getting eighty
percent of the purse. He's focused. And when I say that,
he knows Dillian White because they sparred what ten years ago,
(34:22):
so he has a he has a great understanding of
what his strengths and weaknesses are. Listen, He's coming into
this fight thirteen pounds underweight when he fights Deante Wilder,
so he knows his opponent. So he's getting eight percent
of the purse. He's focused. I don't think it's gonna
be a contest. I just think he's gonna beat him
(34:43):
and maybe five or six rounds. I really we're gonna
be No, I don't see that. I don't he is not.
It will not be a letdown. Trust he's not gonna fight.
He's coming in lighter because he's not gonna he's not
gonna try to bullet Bulley White. He's coming he he's
coming in later because he doesn't think Dialian hits harder
(35:04):
than dude, than than than Deonte Wilder soon, so he
doesn't have to call that going into this fight. It's
not many people that hit harder than White, but he's
he's more sturdy every Rhett. We appreciate you coming on, man,
what what's your prediction before we let you go? Oh?
You know what, only because um, Delian White's been knocked
(35:26):
out before. I'm gonna say, Dillian White tisa l probably
in around the tent. I think he goes at least.
So if the if you're a betting person, they should
take what you're saying and go put in on a
temp around knockout a ten round stop. Yeah, I'm gonna
say that, man, I honestly believe that I do take
him Intend Tyson Fury Intend. This is Rat Butler from
(35:49):

Fellas your boy Drew Brees was in the news this week.
He was quoted as saying that Taysom Hill, you know
should should receive at least ten to fifteen snaps at
quarterback per game. Now this is a short segment, but
(38:37):
I need some answers. Should this be true? Should Taysom
Hill still be taking QB snaps? And do you feel
like this is just shade being thrown by Drew Brees
to keep Taysom Hill in the quarterbacks conversation? What? What
what say you guys? If Drew Brees is gonna come
out with that opinion, I gotta roll with him. He
(38:59):
was in that locker room and on that team um
for quite a while. He's very familiar with what Taysom
Hill brings to the table as far as playing the
quarterback position, the challenges he presents to the defense. I
don't see it a shade. He's looking at what's in
the best interests of the Saints, uh winning football games
(39:19):
and being productive on offense. And so if he believes
that the case, he's probably looking at it like if
he could play quarterback when I was the quarterback, why
can't he play quarterback when I'm not? HiT's so um,
I'm an roll with him on that, But I see
no shade at all. So why doesn't Drew Bues come
back and play. I think it's a hundred percent shade
(39:40):
because basically what he's saying is that, listen, Jameis Winson
is not the leader and the best option for the
for this football team, and he's sitting on the outside
looking in. Listen. Uh, Tayson Hill is a great talent,
but the more and more we watch him under center,
down in and down out, he's not a consistent quarterback.
And and that's why the team has made the decision
(40:01):
to to say that Jameis Winston is the leader in
the quarterback of his football team. It's one shade everybody
knows that takes the Hill is not a every damn quarterback.
He has showed that to us, and that's why they
are moving away from him. Listen, He's gonna get ten
of fifteen snaps, just like they said, and some different
you know, running situations where they can utilize his strength
(40:24):
and speed and all those kind of things. But as
far as him dropping back and throwing the ball forty
to fifty five times like Drew Bees and what the
New Orleans Saints want to do, he is not that guy.
James Woodson has that he can lead in offense, listen,
he let the NFL and touch that I mean, and interceptions,
(40:44):
but he's still do the five thousand yards. He's the
best this decision for this team, but he's not that guy.
I think it's a little bit of shade Fellas and all.
And while I may agree with what you're saying t
J that I'm a gol when he knows because he's
he knows was it, I still think it's shade. And
I think it's shape because you're bringing back Jame's to
(41:05):
be the starting quarterback. If you're saying he needs to
do ten and fifteen reps a game, you're inserting yourself
into saying that this is what this dude or this
coach needs to be doing game playing wise with a
different QB. And And whether whether right or for wrong,
I just think that putting somebody else out there when
you're looking at a guy where you're trying to figure
out who's gonna be your starter, I think it comes
(41:27):
across as a tap bit shady. I I don't know,
but I could be wrong. I'm not gonna say ten
or fifteen, but eight eight something like that, maybe maybe three.
I don't know how to man trying to win, trying
to win football game. You're listening to up on game,
that's t J. Hutchman's out of Plexico bursts. Here, I'm
