Pistons around. That is Buyer's twenty ninth win.

Speaker 9 (10:35):
Yeah, this is the seventy six Ers were three thunder Rockets, Pacers,
Jazz's the week.

Speaker 1 (10:43):
Caleb did a great job, John, Caleb, you want to
mail that Swiggy to Springfield.

Speaker 8 (10:47):
I want to send him because he gave me a
shout out when I picked Missouri, so he already had
it go.

Speaker 4 (10:52):
Great job he held it out. That was great man,
You did a great job.

Speaker 1 (10:56):
All right, Caleb, We're gonna send a nice Swiggy to Springfield,
Missouri for you.

Speaker 4 (10:59):
They hang on. I'm all right now.

Speaker 3 (11:02):
If you enjoy our game today, you'll enjoy our game tomorrow.
Shack Diesel Trivia, Whack Diesel broke. Shack stops by and
he asks questions, some NBA questions, Your chance to win
another Swiggy here on the show. Our way of bribing
you and saying thanks. And again, if you'reknew to Covenio
and Rich, I'll to remind you that we're having a
big party in Vegas and this is your invite. June twentieth,

(11:24):
twenty first and twenty second in Vegas, so book your
flight tickets. Details coming soon. This week is June twentieth,
a month from tomorrow, so we hope to see you
out there in Vegas. Now, two things at a little uh,
not so much of fun fact, but a little uh
little NBA rooting interest. This is the first time that

(11:47):
I can remember where all four teams in the Eastern
or Western Conference finals are teams that have never won
the NBA title or it's been at least fifty years,
So we're getting a new winner. There's no Lakers, Celtics,
no Warriors, no you know, no usual suspects in the mix.
So you're gonna get OKC finally getting the job done

(12:08):
after promising years in the twenty tens.

Speaker 4 (12:10):
What they thought they might have got there.

Speaker 3 (12:12):
You know, our boss Scott and all the people up
in Minnesota that are big t Wolves fans that thought
maybe Kevin Garnett at one point would have.

Speaker 4 (12:19):
Brought him there. Never did.

Speaker 3 (12:21):
So the West alone, you're gonna get someone playing for
their first one ever.

Speaker 4 (12:27):
On the other side of.

Speaker 3 (12:27):
Things, you got the Pacers and the Knicks, two teams
that played second fiddle to Michael Jordan for a decade
of their lives. Two teams that if Michael Jordan was
never birthed, would probably have been going back and forth
in the Eastern Conference for a better half of a decade.

Speaker 4 (12:42):
So what happened to him birth? Oh, he was birthed.

Speaker 3 (12:45):
They're so starving for the championship for so New York
celebrated that victory over the Celtics like it was Game
seven of the NBA Finals. So they like fans by
the way, the Knicks can I just say they're so
committed that Jalen Brunson refuses to go anywhere.

Speaker 4 (13:00):
Near Fat Joe any video. It's so hilarious.

Speaker 3 (13:03):
So if you guys remember Fat Joe, remember he opened
up the Yankees game in the Bronx that game they
lost in the Bronx, he was there at the Knicks.
I think he's bad luck. Jaalen Brunson left him hanging.
It was so I mean, Fat Joe hung out with
Kamala Harris and the Yankees in the same week and
a half and they both lost. I mean, if I'm
Jaylen Brunce, I'd be like, get away, and it's hard

(13:26):
to miss Fat Joe. So it's not like he didn't
see him. By the way, Rich about this Knicks Pacer series.
Reggie Miller is gonna call every single game in the
series and this is the last ever series for the
NBA on TNT.

Speaker 4 (13:38):
Oh wow.

Speaker 3 (13:39):
SOO asked him about it, like, does he get nervous
when he's there? And he's like, nervous You mean the
place where I owned everybody? Hell, He's like, no, I
get pumped about it. Yeah, he's cool. I mean, and
he did he always he always thrived at the Guarden
and prospered against the Knicks. So hey, props to him
in a great career. But you're right, Rich, PACER's Knicks.

(14:00):
There's some old school rivalry there. It's gonna be fun
to see and it all begainst tomorrow, you know, Minnesota,
Oklahoma City.

Speaker 4 (14:08):
On the other side of things, you have a new
school rivalry.

Speaker 3 (14:10):
Two young studs and SGA and Anthony Edwards saying that yo,
we're the dudes now, Like hey, hey, old old heads,
the Lebrons and Stepfs of the world. Maybe they're saying
your time has come and gone, old man. The young
guys are running the West.

Speaker 10 (14:26):
Seventh year in a row, where there'll be a different champion,
which has never happened before.

Speaker 3 (14:29):
Yeah, that's pretty You know, when we were kids, it
was very easy to remember who won the NBA championship.

Speaker 4 (14:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (14:34):
At one point it was like Lakers, Lakers, Pistons, Pences, Bold, Bulls, Bulls.

Speaker 4 (14:38):
You know there was a pattern. Not anymore. Whose image
has changed.

Speaker 3 (14:44):
The most in your mind when it comes to sports
and entertainment Because Brett Favre our producer Spot, our associate producer,
our video producer, Spot.

Speaker 4 (14:52):
He has changed a lot. Yeah, because when we first
met him, richel Rich always says that he had like
a Jonah Hill vibe about him.

Speaker 3 (15:01):
I used to say, if you met Spot and you
didn't immediately love him, something was wrong with.

Speaker 4 (15:06):
No Spot walks around with a tank top like he's
in Adonis. Now it's like, if you like Spot, I'm
curious why. I'm kidding.

Speaker 3 (15:14):
Right, he's not the same guy. But that's evolution. Baby, Look,
you can't stay the same. And I gotta say look
respectfully when it comes to Bill Belichick, I'm not mad
at the guy. I don't care at all. He's just
dating a young hotty. But it is the story. I
can't ignore the story.

Speaker 4 (15:34):
No one apped it up.

Speaker 3 (15:35):
The interview where she's like, we're not talking about that.

Speaker 4 (15:37):
That to me was the This was like a little
flame in a forest.

Speaker 3 (15:42):
That interview clip, to me, poured a tub of guests
Arlina on it.

Speaker 4 (15:46):
It really did hold on.

Speaker 3 (15:47):
No, Rich, I don't want to sound like a double
talking hypocrite. See double talking Davis. Yeah, like channerbox Davis.
I don't want to double talk like me. Okay, if
it was my daughter and she was twenty four year
old dating a seventy four old, yeah, you better believe
I would care. But no, Le's meat problema. You know

(16:08):
what makes them happy, for sure. But I mean we'd
be doing a disservice to not acknowledge the story.

Speaker 4 (16:14):
It's a hot story.

Speaker 3 (16:16):
And not only is it a hot story, but the
story grows. Did you hear the other story today? I
did that. There's there's layers that Brett Farv got a
new boat. No, not Brett Farv, I mean Bill Belichick
got a new Well, Brett Farb's trying to get a
new boat so he could just sell away and never
be seen again. Mississippi paid for a new boat. He

(16:37):
got a new boat based off he stole the people's money.
Buyer insinuated that there is a rumor of Belichick being engaged.

Speaker 4 (16:47):
Yeah, and hey, I wish him all the best. You
still the headline with the boat.

Speaker 3 (16:51):
Right, The boat is the other side of the story,
not far Belichick where he got a new paint job
on his boat.

Speaker 4 (16:59):
They go to me and sponsor.

Speaker 3 (17:02):
I believe he used to read like eight rings or something, right,
that was the name of the boat, eight rings something
like that, and now it's repainted as one plus eight rings.
Oh man, So where's the other ring? That adds fuel
to the engagement fire. And of course you wished them
all the best. Who really gives a diddley squat right
about their relationship? But it is front and center, and

(17:24):
you have changed or maybe have made some sort of
different assessment because here's a leader of men, the most
alpha men in all the land, and it appears he's
being bossed around by a young woman, which is odd
to see. Is that the facts? Is that the case?
Maybe that's what he likes. We don't know, but that's
what we're led to believe. But you definitely have a
different image of the guy. You would have never pictured

(17:46):
Bill Belichick the type of guy to be hanging around
a twenty four year old woman, So his image has changed.
My image change. When he was doing yoga moves with
her on the beach, I was like, wow.

Speaker 4 (17:56):
He's up there.

Speaker 3 (17:57):
He was doing like the fly like Superman that you
do with your right right And from that moment on,
I'm like, you know what, I don't hate him, you know,
to me, my stance all along has been if Bill
Belichick is a guy that dedicated fifty years of his
life to football, and now that he's like seventy, he
has a single guy for seventy four. If Bill Belichick's

(18:19):
the type of guy that's like, you know what, I'm
gonna tap some young ass before it's all over, God
bless him.

Speaker 4 (18:25):
I'm not. I'm not that girl's father.

Speaker 3 (18:28):
But still, and you know, you don't look at him
the same way I don't. And that's what we're talking about.
So it's not from a judgy place. We're just telling
you the story as it is, and we'll keep you
posted on the rumors. And then, of course, the other
story today involves Brett Farv. We all knew the story,
we all knew the shady sign of Brett Farv, but

(18:49):
no one really ever talked about it. It's like he
got me what coverage as you think. It's like he
got by unscathed because he was such a hero on
the field. That the fact that he was a piece
of trash with women and Jen Sturgeer among others in
that Jets organization, and the fact that you know, there
was you know, the money in Mississippi, like Brett Farr.
His true colors are being shown today and I think

(19:11):
moving forward, everyone's gonna just hatere it for well, if
you just joined us again, we bring him up specifically
because after today you're gonna know the untold story. The
Fall of Far debuted on Netflix and people are buzzing
about it, like damn. Danny G came in today and
Danny G knew the stories, but hearing it firsthand on
this documentary, you're like, yo, man, he was a piece

(19:32):
of dru What did you say?

Speaker 4 (19:33):
I don't want to misquote you.

Speaker 1 (19:35):
I just think that half the people are still going
to ignore this stuff.

Speaker 4 (19:41):
Wow, yeah, that's what it is. But you said it
was legit, like it did not make it didn't.

Speaker 1 (19:45):
Yeah, Like when when Sturgis was talking, I believed her. Yeah,
you know, and I don't think there's any reason anybody
probably shouldn't with the story in the facts, like she
has proof of what happened through text, messages, emails, everything else.
And then and there were witnesses to her side of things.

Speaker 3 (20:02):
Including people in this room, right, and then so I
mean like facts, But then the second.

Speaker 1 (20:07):
The second half of the doc though with the money
it's for the underserved. The money is supposed to go
to the underprivileged in that state, and so that probably
will bother you even more.

Speaker 4 (20:17):
Yeah, so a welfare fraud scheme that he was a
part of, and you learn all about that when you
go home later tonight, you're probably gonna have a different
opinion of Brett Farr.

Speaker 3 (20:26):
Your friends are going to be talking about it. But
Rich says, despite these two stories that are big in
front and center today, there's still a number one image
change in the world of sports. It's undeniable. And you know,
no matter what happens, no matter what athlete goes heal
or gets arrested or does something dumb or anything, nothing

(20:47):
will ever trump No one will ever trump the perception
well of oh J Simpson or Rental James.

Speaker 4 (20:57):
And I still think, yeah, that is the number one.
It will always be the number.

Speaker 3 (21:00):
I mean, we're talking about a guy that was the
most loved player broadcaster. As they say in many of
the documentaries. He was an African American man that racist
white guys liked like he he crossed every demographic, age, sex, race, everything.

Speaker 4 (21:14):
People loved O J. Simpson. He was a naked gun.
He was broadcasting it to people.

Speaker 3 (21:21):
Commercial girlfriend who's slightly younger than me, When I try
to explain to her the importance and significance of O. J. Simpson,
I always have to say, like, imagine Shaquille O'Neal or
Strahan or Michael Strahan like but love, but even more
love than them arguably.

Speaker 4 (21:37):
You know, imagine they went on a murder spring.

Speaker 3 (21:40):
When you say, younger girlfriend, Jordan like, no Belichick r
no Belichickay, yeah, I have to no Belichick.

Speaker 4 (21:45):
You just said murder spree.

Speaker 1 (21:47):
So Aaron Hernandez would have to be way up there
on the list because it's multiple kills.

Speaker 3 (21:53):
Yeah, but he was always known as a bit of
a weirdo as but we all heard that he had
cleaned up his act.

Speaker 1 (22:00):
It was the Belichick and Patriots way and the effect
of their organization and so we thought he was like
one of those great stories, and as.

Speaker 3 (22:09):
A casual fan, you didn't know the backstory. You just
knew this dude was tearing it up. He was a
great tight end, and all of a sudden he killed people.

Speaker 4 (22:15):
I don't, I don't.

Speaker 3 (22:16):
I don't discount your answer. It's in the top, it's
it's on the list. Out of that, I just think
that Aaron Hernandez was always like, Yo, that guy's a
little rough around because.

Speaker 1 (22:24):
Of where he was from and his friends and all that.
But what my point, Rich was, we were all told
that this was this great American story about how he
got a second chance and he totally cleaned up his life.

Speaker 4 (22:36):
Ye, not the case.

Speaker 3 (22:37):
And you know it doesn't have to be all negative,
right because I could throw Tom Brady into that conversation.
I think that after his retirement, I have a totally
different understanding of who Tom Brady is.

Speaker 4 (22:50):
And what he's about.

Speaker 3 (22:51):
And he became a hell of a lot more likable
to me after retirement, once he got away from the
whole Patriots way and and again we started to see
a different side of the guy image shift completely because
I thought he was like a stiff, boring sort of
Vanilla guy, really funny, personable dude, So.

Speaker 4 (23:08):
It doesn't have to be all doom and gloom.

Speaker 3 (23:10):
Yeah, so image changes in the world of sports and entertainment.
Who did you go from loving to hating, hating to loving.
I just think after you watch this far of documentary,
if they were still a party, that's like, yeah, man,
hero Brett farm I think you're gonna think differently. And
I don't judge Belichick, but to say that, it's not
a different impression than the hard nose my life is

(23:30):
football Bill.

Speaker 4 (23:32):
Now, when you're you're seeing him.

Speaker 3 (23:34):
Being all cutesy with his twenty something you old girlfriend,
you may not be offended. I'm not offended, but I
do look at him differently. Like in my mind, I
thought he only cared about football. Now I'm like, oh,
he cares about booty. Yeah, I know, iea, it's definitely different.

Speaker 4 (23:47):
Look. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (23:48):
Like, I think that's the funny part sports is ignoring
because sports doesn't like to you.

Speaker 4 (23:52):
Know, you know what, your sexual stuff.

Speaker 3 (23:54):
But let's be honest, sports people don't like to dive
into the sexual part of things.

Speaker 4 (23:58):
Is it's a old taboo.

Speaker 3 (24:00):
But why are we ignoring the fact that there's a
reason you get with a hot young woman when you're
a powerful older man. If you don't think sex is
a motivator, do you think they're hanging out.

Speaker 4 (24:11):
Because she's cool? We have a lot in common, do
you think because oh, well we share a love of art. No,
what do you think about the Vietnam War?

Speaker 3 (24:19):
Bill Belichick? Bill Belichick, He's grabbing a hold of some young,
hot bod that he probably thought he would never do again.
Why are we pretending that's not the real part of this?
And the other weird part about it is not only
do we look at it different. You don't think it's
young players look at him in a different way.

Speaker 4 (24:37):
Probably both fail.

Speaker 3 (24:38):
Yeah, like, oh man, well you know what he's into,
and that's not the kind of look you want for
a guy in a leadership position.

Speaker 1 (24:47):
It's always kind of glorified it though, Look at yeah.

Speaker 4 (24:52):
Crisis buying a sports car. It's weird.

Speaker 3 (24:55):
And you know what, though, if he wins them, it's
all forgiven and it's all good. So that and fixes everything.
I'll a Brett Farv the co How long we ignored
the Brett Farv thing because he's a superstar. So image shift,
the ruse let's get back to it. Let's go to
Josh and Ohio and then we'll go around the room.

Speaker 11 (25:10):
Here.

Speaker 12 (25:10):
What's up Josh, Hey, guys, uh mid mid wait. I
actually changed my answer. Originally I was gonna go with
Vince McMahon, but he inspired me to go from positive
to negative back to positive. And that's Michael Vick. We
started out, we loved him as a college quarterback. The
pitbull thing happened, and now he's back to being a commentator.

(25:32):
So he's changed his image from positive to negative back
to positive. And I think he needs a lot of flowers.

Speaker 3 (25:38):
For that, speaking of And I think that's a great answer,
isn't he in this documentary contributor? Yeah, he's part of
this Brett Favre documentary because he's all over the trailer.
Michael Vick was hated more for messing with animals than
people are for murdering humans. There are people that are
like I will never forgive my details of that story
are awful. Yeah, he's but I know, I totally good

(26:02):
for him. The simple fact is if he was quote
rehabilitated and now fights for animal rights and does stuff
and he's a positive force totally, then what a what
a great turnaround, And that's a great answer. It is
a great answer because you saw all different sides of it.

Speaker 4 (26:16):
What did Josh say?

Speaker 3 (26:17):
His original answer was Vince. That's a great one because
Vince mcgraham was a man of business genius that took
wrestling from sweaty you know, Harry guys grappling to a
billion dollar sports entertainment world. And then you find out,
oh man, he's into weird stuff.

Speaker 4 (26:35):
Vince here.

Speaker 8 (26:37):
Here's the tough part that and why I think the
Michael Vick answer is magnificent. Nobody here thinks that guy
seems like he could be a murderer, right like, like
so when you're talking about like image and the OJ thing,
like I just don't think that like you can because
nobody would think that, Like if it was like, oh,

(26:57):
this guy went and slept with a bunch of different
wins or whatever, like oh, it didn't seem seem like
he was a fan. But when you get to the
murder part of it, I don't think anybody could see
that like at all, Like it's I think I think
it's more of an extreme and that's what makes the
VIC so good and what I think that the like,
my recommendation was Tiger Woods for of loved, for everything

(27:20):
that we thought that he was not knowing who they
are behind the scenes, and then has the scandal with
all the different women and then comes back and is
reloved again as he wins in the forties and is
then looked at as a dad, you know, of his
two kids, like a really great answer to I just
think what you'd have, like a murder or the Hernandez situation,

(27:43):
same thing, and how he ultimately you.

Speaker 3 (27:46):
Know, yeah, murder, shocking, animal cruelty though that's really what
it comes down to.

Speaker 4 (27:50):
You're like, man, yeah, yeah, that's the part where and
then Tiger Woods. You know what I always picture.

Speaker 3 (27:55):
Do you guys remember the SNL bit where Tim Meadows
played like a goofy Tiger Woods. Can you remember that
Tim Mendows, He's like, you know, I mean, now, goofy
because Tiger was like a real goofball aw shucks kind
of guy. When you heard these stories about what a
womanizer he was, You're like, what, I listen, I'm not
trying to defend Tiger Woods. But and then again, he's beloved.

(28:16):
I look at Tiger Woods and Bill Belichick, I'm not
saying the same. But when you're so dedicated to something
the way Tiger Woods was so disciplined with golf, the
way Bill Belichick dedicated fifty years to you know, I'm
gonna win at every level of football, assistant coach, coach,
most Super Bowl rings. I think as a party that
forgets men's downfall so many times is women. And like,

(28:40):
it wasn't shocking to me that Tiger Woods mixed in
with emotional championships and injuries in life. You don't think
Tiger Woods, like every other man, had a soft spot
for a good looking woman. It sounds ridiculous and so juvenile,
but look at politics, look at sports. So many downfalls
revolve around women.

Speaker 8 (28:58):
Sure was the extent of what Tiger was doing as well,
with so many different women at different.

Speaker 4 (29:05):
Times and counts eighteen eighteen holes of golf, not eighteen
I forget. I think it was.

Speaker 3 (29:11):
I think he was, man, I think he was, But
you're right, Dan, and then totally reinvented himself again. So
it's sort of on that Michael Vick era of we
saw how the image changed twice or three times. I
mean again, we forget that when with great power and

(29:33):
success and money, a man could very well fall into
a world of women that may not be there for
the right reasons. And trust me, Tiger Woods when you
look back now, you're like, dude, since he was a
little boy, golfing success greatest of all time. Injuries take place,
like everything has the equation to fall, and women is

(29:56):
a great reason. Yeah, so let's say hi to Mark
and the Qus have some dinosaur barbecue.

Speaker 4 (30:04):
What's up buddy? Hey? Mark?

Speaker 5 (30:06):
Hey, how you doing.

Speaker 4 (30:07):
What's up, bud?

Speaker 3 (30:08):
Uh?

Speaker 4 (30:09):
Tiger Wood?

Speaker 13 (30:09):
Tiger Woods was great.

Speaker 5 (30:10):
I didn't even think of him, but the one I
was was Ryan Leaf.

Speaker 14 (30:14):
I mean that's pales in comparison to Tiger but.

Speaker 3 (30:18):
Yeah, Ryan Leaf was one of those guys that he
also self admittedly had, you know, his demons, but what
a great guy he is every time we see him,
and he's always been cool with us.

Speaker 4 (30:28):
So Ryan Leaf is a guy that high hopes ended
up in prison. Right now.

Speaker 3 (30:32):
We see Ryan Leaf at sports events, probably the malls
media rows. Ryan Leaf is the first guy to stop
and have a great conversation with a really good guy.
Health a big priority, Like he's fit and looks great.
So yeah, he's definitely turned it around. Uh, dell Away hair.

Speaker 5 (30:47):
What's up, Jimmy Hey, Adrian Peterston.

Speaker 3 (30:53):
Yeah, I mean ap with the hull, remember the switch
and hitting hitting the kid? Right, that was the thing,
Like that was a big moment. Yeah, that was a
big debate his son.

Speaker 10 (31:02):
Yeah, and now he's having he's in some serious financial
deep waters.

Speaker 4 (31:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (31:07):
And the story of you know, how to discipline your
own kids recently too, what was common for certain culture
is not common for everybody. It opened up a lot
of eyes and yeah, he's he's one of those that
deal with that.

Speaker 4 (31:19):
What about I.

Speaker 8 (31:21):
Think Alex Rodriguez is quite the turnaround?

Speaker 4 (31:24):
Yeah? What about Roger Clemens? Well that's a good one.
You're kind of an under the radar.

Speaker 8 (31:29):
And the reason I bring it up is here's a
guy when you think of back when we were growing up,
I mean you would think that he would just be
a legendary Red Sox player, right, And so then he
goes place for the Yankees and the and the Blue Jays.

Speaker 4 (31:43):
And Astros and yeah, all those teams.

Speaker 8 (31:46):
And then then with the you know, ped scandal, and
now like when you're looking back at like those eight
like it's just like, yeah, it wasn't rocket Roger.

Speaker 3 (31:57):
Yeah, you know what's crazy about that too, dan Is
how Yeah, he won Cy Young's with a lot of
those teams, and the Yankees even turned their back on
the guy, and you never saw him in any highlight
videos until recently he was brought to spring training or whatever.
But that's the first we saw him. I think even
this year was the first we saw him there. So
as a guy who you believed was all about baseball

(32:18):
and all about the Red Sox, like you said, ended
up being viewed as as not the guy we remembered
for sure. Our video producer Spot puts together all the
biggest stories in the world of sports and entertainment.

Speaker 4 (32:32):
We call it Midweek Major.

Speaker 7 (32:35):
Covino and Rich gets you over the middle of the
week when mid Week Major Major.

Speaker 4 (32:42):
I love that we.

Speaker 7 (32:42):
Throw sports and pop culture headlines and topics at the
fellas and it's like the.

Speaker 3 (32:48):
Kids say that we definitely madre see it.

Speaker 4 (32:52):
Our scoring Midweek Major that was for the East Coast.

Speaker 1 (33:08):
As the Knicks are back in the conference finals, and
before we hand things over to the number one and
only host of this segment, you hear the horns, so
you know you've made it to the middle of the
work week, Covino and Rich are gonna roll the two
big red love dice over there to see who gets
the first take.

Speaker 3 (33:23):
I just rolled Big Fat four and by the way, Danny,
better than the middle of the work week, knowing that.

Speaker 4 (33:29):
You have a holiday weekend coming up, it makes it
feel a little better. Here goes the Rich roll seven.
I'm getting ready for our Vegas trip. Baby.

Speaker 1 (33:39):
That means Rich gets to go first. And now, ladies
and gentlemen, the most famous person besides Judy Bloom from
Scotch plains New Jersey spotty boy.

Speaker 3 (33:49):
Hi, guys, you know I only rolled seven on the
first one and eight All day Rol six.

Speaker 4 (33:54):
We're gonna take over a craps table and make millions.
We're gonna do something. I'll tell you that much, all right.

Speaker 9 (34:00):
Art off with the Buffalo Bills, who have been chosen
by the NFL and the Home Box Office to be
the center of the Training Camp edition of Hard Knocks.
Roger Goodell made the announcement during spring meetings, saying the
reigning AFC East champs will be documented as they prepare
for next season.

Speaker 4 (34:14):
Of course, series will focus on team.

Speaker 9 (34:16):
Practices, possibly get some offscreen drama, maybe we'll see the
future Missus Allen running around NFC East also getting their
treatment for the ind season for next season, focusing on
multiple teams including the Giants, Commanders, Cowboys, and Eagles. Hard
Knocks Training Camp with the Buffalo Bills premieres August fifth
on HBO.

Speaker 4 (34:35):
Max Is that what it's called?

Speaker 8 (34:36):
Now?

Speaker 9 (34:39):
I'm pretty sure our home box office, Maximilian as I
call it.

Speaker 4 (34:42):
Yes, this is i'by mid Okay.

Speaker 3 (34:45):
They do it every year. The Bill's a good choice,
Haley Steinfeld. I hope there's a little involvement to bring
some you know, some pop culture fun to it. And
by the way, rude of you to bring up the
Bills and not wish Josh Allen a happy twenty ninth birthday?

Speaker 4 (34:58):
Oh? Is that today?

Speaker 3 (34:58):
Josh Allen turns to twenty today. I didn't want to
get twenty. I didn't get my alert, didn't.

Speaker 4 (35:02):
Get your Josh Allen alert. Well, mister T turns seventy
three today. I'm put in the pool.

Speaker 3 (35:06):
Well, I hope Josh Allen gets my Edible arrangement. I
sent them a balloon. So I think this is edibles
major major spot.

Speaker 4 (35:15):
And I'll tell you why.

Speaker 3 (35:17):
AFC's Champs, Josh Allen Superstars. It could be a weak
ass team. This is a great team. This is an
intriguing season. So when I first saw this Stitch, I
was like, ooh yeah, and it gets me excited about it,
so because sometimes you watch a team that you don't
care at all about.

Speaker 4 (35:34):
So I'm actually excited about this, and you.

Speaker 3 (35:36):
Know what, I'm sure they will also highlight the Bill's Mafia,
which could be fun. Yeah, the fan base is insane,
so I think it's would be a great season.

Speaker 4 (35:44):
I'd sticking in the NFL.

Speaker 9 (35:46):
Jalen Hurts, doubling down on his absence from the White
House last month, as he claims as he said he
has scheduling contacts that he's really busy.

Speaker 4 (35:53):
Superworld Champion Eagles QB.

Speaker 9 (35:54):
Invited to the White House along with the rest of
the team on April twenty eighth. Many were at attendants,
including Saquon Barkley, who went on to have a round
of golf with the President. But Hertz commented in a
press confidence conference yesterday saying he just simply wasn't available,
going out to say I don't think that's pertinent everyone
who went was available, or that everyone who went and
was available, seemed to enjoy themselves. So even if it's

(36:15):
not political, h really sticking to his guns Midweek or Major?

Speaker 4 (36:19):
How gonna go Major? And I'll tell you why not,
because I care. I listen.

Speaker 3 (36:26):
No matter who the president is, I would go because
I honor the seat that the man Holtz and maybe
a woman one day. Right, I think the president's a
big deal. I would sit down with Obama, Trump, Bush, Clinton, anyone.

Speaker 4 (36:36):
I think it's an.

Speaker 3 (36:37):
Honor Lincoln, Lincoln Taft, who got Starfield, Garfield, Hoover. I
just find it odd when he's like, I was busy.
In my mind, I'm like gues jan Buren to quote
peee Herman back.

Speaker 4 (36:50):
In the day, busy doing what, busy doing what?

Speaker 3 (36:53):
He's taking his bath, Francis is busy. I've seen this
when people go to the a or a wedding or
big event. It's like, oh, they were busy that day.
What is busier and more important than going to the
White House and being honored by the president.

Speaker 4 (37:07):
It's a wildly weird excuse.

Speaker 3 (37:09):
If you asked me, you could say I'm not a
fan of Trump and he didn't want to go.

Speaker 4 (37:12):
That would be okay with that to say you had plans.
That's like, hey, uh, where at Penny Hannah? Cancel him?
What is going on? I don't get it. Yeah, I
agree with Rich. It's major. It's like I was.

Speaker 3 (37:24):
Visiting New York once and I was like, Dad, I'm,
you know, visiting from LA three thousand miles and he's like, oh, well,
you know what, come a little later in the day,
I have a dental cleaning.

Speaker 4 (37:33):
I'm like, oh, I got a doctor's points. Very hard
to get it. What is more important than this honor?
I booked it six months ago.

Speaker 3 (37:43):
Again, unless it was like something healthy related and if
you really want to squash the story, what were you doing?

Speaker 4 (37:49):
Why the big mystery? I'm with Rich.

Speaker 3 (37:51):
I'd respect it more if he just came clean and said, yeah,
I don't like Trump all right.

Speaker 11 (37:55):
Uh.

Speaker 9 (37:56):
Still speculation around the engagement between legendary and fell coach
Bill Belichick and his twenty four year old girlfriend Jordan Hudson.

Speaker 4 (38:04):
Well.

Speaker 9 (38:04):
Bill may have confirmed it in his own way. As
you know, Bill has eight Super Bowl rings, six with
the Pats, two with the Giants. Well he debuted a
new boat on the waters off the swinky Island of
Nantucket in Massachusetts.

Speaker 4 (38:15):
With the name in Roman numerals one.

Speaker 9 (38:18):
Plus eight rings, alluding to the fact that there may
be an extra ring having.

Speaker 4 (38:23):
To do with his engagement. No, I see.

Speaker 3 (38:25):
I think this is major, but but I am interpreting
it differently.

Speaker 4 (38:30):
Oh, these with a younger, more vibrant woman. Oh you
think that ring? I think. I think the ring is
somewhere in his pantalonis. I think hands a little help.

Speaker 3 (38:46):
I don't think it's an engage ring. I think it's
a pink Wow. Geez wow, that's a that's a hot take.
That's a hot take right there. I'll take it, and I.

Speaker 4 (38:55):
Agree with rich.

Speaker 3 (39:00):
Major story because it's Bill Belichick and he's seventy four
years old.

Speaker 4 (39:06):
She's twenty four married, matter what married, he's here.

Speaker 3 (39:11):
It's a very odd story of course that applies a marriage.
One plus eight rings. Well, what's the other ring? Give
me a break. I just find it very odd at
this guy.

Speaker 4 (39:22):
Seems to be school class ring.

Speaker 3 (39:25):
He just seems to be so smitten and it's really
tough to see.

Speaker 4 (39:29):
It's such a guy that I don't know.

Speaker 3 (39:32):
It's a very major story because you're not going to
tell me that she's not going to have involvement on
his decisions because all wives do. What's that Irish promise?

Speaker 4 (39:42):
Ring that clayter ring my purity, ring your Jonas brothers.
There you go.

Speaker 9 (39:52):
The White Socks beg he got a higher power to
lead them to victory this season. So Pope Leo the fourteenth,
as you know from Chicago, Chicago White Sox fan, his
brother really revealed it. We saw the footage of him
in the stands at the game one of the two
thousand and five World Series. Well, the team capitalizing on
their connection by highlighting the Pope and his attendance with
a graphic installation at ray Field. The Socks unveiled the

(40:14):
attraction ahead of their matchup against the Maritors, which featured
the new Pope waving in front of the Chicago skyline
with a photo a photo of him in the stands
at the two thousand and five game, also a frame
jersey next to it with the name Pope Leo and
under of course the number is fourteen Socks currently.

Speaker 4 (40:29):
Fifteen and thirty five.

Speaker 9 (40:30):
So maybe they'll turn it around for the rest of
the season midweek or major dude.

Speaker 3 (40:34):
He ain't turn it around. The Saint Angels in the
outfield you never know. I don't know, but you know
it is pretty cool. Listen, if the Pope rooted from
my team, I would imagine they would, you know, do something.
I think it's a classy little touch and the White
Sox they need a little something.

Speaker 4 (40:48):
I think I would say it's sort of mid. I
think it's a mid story. I agree with Brish.

Speaker 3 (40:52):
They could have made it cooler by having like a
sacred seat, spray paint that one seat that he sat
in gold and it's like you're the lucky fan you.

Speaker 9 (40:58):
Get, you're like blessed by the I would say, did
like Pope foam hat night?

Speaker 4 (41:02):
Yeah? Yes, I've got to lean into it a little harder. Now, Oh,
the great Pope race, the Great Hope Rice.

Speaker 3 (41:07):
If you're sitting in a sacred seat and give away prizes,
give you win a.

Speaker 4 (41:10):
Trip to the Vatican. Oh my god, you get free
tickets forever and ever. You gotta lean into it, man,
I love it all right.

Speaker 9 (41:20):
Travis Kelcey backtracking his stance on playing the season opener
in South pout Old, Brazil, after facing backlash for throwing
a bit of a tantrum after the game was announced.
As you recall, complaining about the heat being that close
to the equator, saying you didn't want to put on
his uniform. He's played in Jacksonville in September and it's
effit miserable, says all that kind of stuff. Well, on
this week's new podcast, he made a turnaround, saying, talking

(41:43):
about the excitement for being in a bunch of primetime games,
you can't wait to see all the brazil fans enjoying
American football. And then Jason went on to say how
apparently they were told the weather in some palow in
Brazil in September it's very nice, so.

Speaker 4 (41:57):
They're very excited about it midweek or major you know,
this is very nice.

Speaker 3 (42:01):
The butt cheeks out there, I mean, I want, I
don't want to say it.

Speaker 4 (42:03):
Don't tell me say this. I think, uh, I think
this story has nothing to do with his take on
Brazil in the games.

Speaker 3 (42:10):
I think the take you said he said, uh back
one too many times. Backtracking you said, backtracking, you mean
Harry Back. All I'm thinking about is Travis Kelsey's Harry
back and maybe going to be Maybe this is good
news for all the Harry Sasquatches out there, because if
Taylor Swift could get with a guy that's got a
harry back like that.

Speaker 4 (42:27):
Maybe it's like, uh, you think she shaves us back?
I bet your gut laugh, I.

Speaker 3 (42:33):
Bet you if people want to see that, honestly, wax it.
Do something, Travis, You're too hands up to a harry back.
That's my take.

Speaker 4 (42:41):
I agree with you on that. I'll agree with rich
on that. I don't have a hairy back button. What
do I push here?

Speaker 3 (42:46):
Uh, it's a mid story, major carry back. I'm supposed
to care that he is okay with Brazil. Brazil is awesome.
I've never been there, but I've always wanted to go.
But his hairy back is a pretty mid story. Save
your bag, dude, half Sasquatch, half Croatian.

Speaker 4 (43:03):
I guess all right, Well, hey, thank you spotting, great
midweek major Thank you Bud Trash.

Speaker 3 (43:09):
If I'm anywhere and this song comes on, I take
a bathroom break, I feel like you're insulting Dan Bayer.
He loves this, so no, I told Dan he needs
to stick around to hear his his callback. Oh rumor
spreading This is Dan Byer's favorite song. Oh Man, Dan
is very Dan hag in the name to the buyer.
Number five.

Speaker 8 (43:30):
Okay, that's not the case here. The problem is his
Rich has been lippy all week, like his his forty
nine ers, Oh that's a win against the Seahawks is
slippy even yesterday when like I guess, like Tom Seavers
said that, I said that. So this is the third
straight day where like he's popped off, and here's the deal.
Nobody except Cavinos sometimes in spots, sometimes calls him out

(43:54):
on it.

Speaker 4 (43:54):
You know, Sam's just like Rich.

Speaker 8 (43:57):
So when Mambo number five was released in April of
ninety nine, because I thought it maybe two thousand, trying
to add something to the show.

Speaker 4 (44:05):
I don't think I should be ridiculed by No. That
was years and years. You saw the real side of Rich,
is what you're saying. Yes, yes, the real the unto
Rich Davis story to come out. Welcome Why Dan's always
been a Cavino guy.

Speaker 9 (44:18):
You're officially part of the crew. Now got frustration towards
Rich like that icially part of the crew. It took
four years. Love you buddy, you've seen it.

Speaker 4 (44:27):
You see what we see.

Speaker 8 (44:28):
It's like the third time she's triple crown. But I
just won the Belmont by you know, giving me a.

Speaker 4 (44:32):
Very decisive attitude. He does not see it. He doesn't
see that. He doesn't Oh god, I'm wrong again anyway, TV.

Speaker 1 (44:40):
It's like how we were running really late for last
one standing on my day and Rich wanted to talk
about butterflies or ten minutes.

Speaker 4 (44:45):
Yes, seriously, yeah, I mean this is how rich it is.
So again we're Cavino and Rich.

Speaker 3 (44:52):
I'm here pampas Rich live from the Fox Sports Radio studio.
And for over forty years, ty Iraq has been helping
customers find the right tires for how, what and where
they I've ship fast and free and back. My free

tire installation. Dude, it's mobile tire installation. Sorry, tirerac dot com.
The way tire buying should be, it should be and

(45:13):

We do that every Thursday, Old School when fifty hits
on the clock. So be sure to join us and
we'll figure out a way to give way more prizes tomorrow.
Do you think the Nicks old court and win game

(45:35):
one at home tonight. Man, that's tough, I do, Rich,
I think that personally. But what I can guarantee is
what we said last time, electricity. Man, the garden's gonna
be hopping, and it's gonna be fun to watch. It's
gonna be fun to see all the old heads they're representing,
all the latrell spree wells out the ratings. No, you do,

(45:58):
I have an idea you it Halliburton's dad in between
all the old school Knicks.

Speaker 4 (46:05):
Yeah. Ok, and Haliburton's dad right next to you, cheah.
I mean that'll go ratings.

Speaker 1 (46:11):
Now, Rich, are you keeping your wallet closed tonight because
you got burned last night?

Speaker 4 (46:16):
You know what?

Speaker 3 (46:17):
Now that you said that MVP MVP? Yeah, thirty one
points when it was thirty one and a half. All right,
what have we got here tonight? Jalen brunts in twenty
eight and a half.

Speaker 1 (46:29):
I'd say, just under all right, don't let that half
h yeah, don't let that half get you?

Speaker 15 (46:35):
No?

Speaker 3 (46:36):
All right, Karl Anthony Towns ooh twenty two and a half.

Speaker 4 (46:44):
Bet you bet you he scores twenty three points?

Speaker 3 (46:46):
All right, I'm gonna go over, Halliburton eighteen and a
half over over, don't we'll do one more.

Speaker 4 (46:57):
Turner or topping. Who do you want to do? I'd
say Miles Turner. Miles Turner is fifteen and a half under. Okay,
I'm just totally went with arbitra.

Speaker 3 (47:11):
I went arbitrary with you guys.

Speaker 1 (47:13):
Get this draft Kings pick six hits yours, Taco Beltimore.

Speaker 3 (47:17):
That's right, fair enough, So we got we got Brunson
under twenty eight and a half, we got kat over
twenty two and a half, Halliburton over eighteen and a half,
and Miles Turner under fifteen and a half.

Speaker 4 (47:30):
Ten bucks pays eighty.

Speaker 3 (47:31):
All right, cool, that's more reason to have fun and
enjoy the game. Thank you guys for enjoying the show.
I hope you enjoy the show. Anything you miss catch
it on the podcast. Now, we got two minutes left, Rich,
which means we'll probably have to continue this conversation tomorrow.
But all show Rich has been teasing Patrick Mahomes is
two new weapons this offseason.

Speaker 4 (47:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (47:52):
Now, again, this is a legend, and this is rumor.
This is just based on what the eyes could see.
Because I don't know if i'd necessarily agree with you. Yes, evidence, Yeah,
people that disagree, because guess what, the lovely I enjoy
her very much on quarterback. I got a new respect
for Britney Mahomes. But there's photos now, you know she

(48:12):
was in Sports Illustrated.

Speaker 4 (48:13):
There's a lot of before and after. There's a lot
of before and after actually going on.

Speaker 3 (48:17):
And I think she's a new mom, and when you're
a new mom, they get big. Others are saying, she
got the babies get big, but you got some bazoombas mansynse.

Speaker 4 (48:28):
That's the proper term. I think zooms. Yes, I'm here,
I'm listening. What do you think you're you're you guys,
you're a lovely woman. Absolutely, it's them both. Oh so
thet big girl, she got them and they got bigger.

Speaker 16 (48:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (48:41):
Yeah, so she's looking real good, milkyzoomas. I'll say, yeah,
I'm not complaining, just saying I think she's looking good.
And I'm glad you guys are noticing. But I think
some of your business.

Speaker 3 (48:55):
We're lying from the Fox Sports Radio studio and it's
time for the tire rack play of the day, and
I'm sure you know which one we're highlighting today. It
was a premature chokes sign that wound up working out
in overtime.

Speaker 4 (49:08):
Two point games, six seconds to go.

Speaker 11 (49:10):
Haliburton driving, he's in the lane, he nearly lost, and
he backs up and unloads a three.

Speaker 4 (49:18):
That did not happen. It hit the back of the rim,
It popped high.

Speaker 3 (49:22):
Into the air, and it dropped gently through the net.

Speaker 4 (49:27):
Gently threw the nets. I mean, that was a great description.
That's exactly what happened.

Speaker 1 (49:32):
Gently, And then his stat team told him, hey, it's
actually a two.

Speaker 3 (49:37):
Oh boy, Hey, the Knick's hearts were ripped out on
that one. As you know, Halbernon, Indiana gott Hjima courtesy
of the Pacers Radio Network and his.

Speaker 4 (49:47):
Time, there's a certain what we gonna go back.

Speaker 7 (49:56):
Back into town throwing it back for a Thursday. Old
School won fifty hits. That's fifty after CNR give you
the time capsule topic and we reminisce together.

Speaker 4 (50:08):
Yeah, hey, look at that. We're right on time for once.

Speaker 3 (50:10):
Yeah, boy, when fifty hits on the clock, when fifty
hits in life, old school man, Old School.

Speaker 4 (50:15):
Win fifty hits. We do it every Thursday.

Speaker 3 (50:17):
We get you involved at eight seven, seven ninety nine
on Fox and today we discussed arcade games and as
Iowa Sam hinted it, hinted at.

Speaker 4 (50:27):
It, it's pac Man nineteen eighty.

Speaker 3 (50:31):
On this day, pac Man became a thing out of Japan,
and before Super Mario, everything was pac Man. Before Sonic,
before Sonic, before any of these iconic characters, pac Man
was everything. I remember the arcade game like yesterday. But
what I remember even more than that, rich was when

(50:51):
Atari twenty six hundred was the thing, or maybe you
had Calico Vision or in television, whatever you had, when
it was part of the home console, you were able
to play pac Man at home. Yeah, that was Yeah,
that was the next level. Now pac Man, I thought
misspac Man was almost better. A Miss pac Man I
think was more popular. To be honest, it was the
pac Man rage of the eighties. Like I said, cartoons,

(51:13):
Saturday Morning cartoons, lunchboxes, t shirts closed. Pac Man was
everywhere and was crazy about it. Stuffed animals, right, everything.
If you were at the boardwalk, you're trying to win
a pac Man something. Now listen, but you don't see
really any sense of pac Man today.

Speaker 4 (51:28):
Here's the thing.

Speaker 3 (51:29):
You're a little older than me, and people would know
that by looking at you.

Speaker 4 (51:32):
A little older, lot cooler.

Speaker 3 (51:34):
Though, Yeah kidding, but I'm more of a kid of
the eighties and nineties. So my first gaming console was
late eighties because if you don't recognize the populhar pac Man,
I'm more late eighties early nineties. So to me, my
first video game console was Nintendo. I missed Atari, and
I for that reason think that pac Man doesn't get

(51:56):
enough credit. I feel like Mario has a billion dollar
movie in the Street now Sonic the Hedgehog as the
Banditkoop gets more props than Parapa, the rapper gets more
props and pac Man.

Speaker 4 (52:06):
Pac Man moved like wasn't there the was it? Adam Sandler?
What was that? Was a good one? Pixels? Yeah, yeah,
it was a great movie. Was that was that actually
pac Man? Or was that something?

Speaker 3 (52:15):
Well? He was involved, okay, And it was so many
different iterations of pac Man and what he looked like
like in the game and on the cartoon and things
like that.

Speaker 4 (52:23):
But pac Man was huge, was iconic.

Speaker 1 (52:26):
It generated over two point five billion dollars in quarters
by the nineteen nineties.

Speaker 4 (52:31):
Yeah, that's amazing and like I said, a lot of coin.

Speaker 3 (52:33):
Remember playing it on Atari remember seeing it for the
first time, being blown away, like you could play this
at home.

Speaker 4 (52:37):
You have to bring those all to a coinstar machine.
I hope not so.

Speaker 3 (52:41):
Based on the anniversary of pac Man Again, Revolutionary and
Every Game Changer pun intended from nineteen eighty on this day,
if you can go back in time, you can go
back in time Marty McFly style. What's that one game
you'd love to go back to experience for the first time. Oh,

(53:03):
I go back to Chuck E Cheese or show Biz
Pizza plays for that local arcade and experience that game
for the first time.

Speaker 4 (53:10):
What would it be?

Speaker 3 (53:10):
You know, I think we could include arcades and home consoles.
That's fair too. Yeah, I have an answer, and I
think it's gonna be hard to beat. I'll throw it
out there and we'll take your feedback. I think when
I was at the Baseball card shop, the baseball car
shop in my hometown also had a couple of arcade
games in it. When they said we're bringing in this

(53:33):
new game, NBA Jam, that was your jam. You could
personalize the characters, like there were special codes you could use,
like you're like, wow, that actually looks like Tim Hardaway.

Speaker 4 (53:44):
Oh Wow?

Speaker 3 (53:44):
These he can't buy a bucket like that game was
next level in my mind. So NBA jam number one
on this guy's list, and we want to hear from you.
Eight seven, seven, nine to nine on Fox Moore could
Ben on Rich. Friday, June twentieth, we are doing our

(54:08):
Coveno on Rich Fox Sports Radio show live from Circa
in Las Vegas, Las Vegas.

Speaker 4 (54:16):
Stadium, Swim Stadium, Swim.

Speaker 3 (54:19):
We're having a Caveno Rich Pool party on Friday, so
you know, break out your flip flops and bring your
some block.

Speaker 4 (54:26):
It's gonna be hot out there, but we're gonna be
doing a great bust that your skimpiest bikini, Well that's
too Sam.

Speaker 3 (54:32):
Get your speedo ready, buddy. I expect a yellow Iowa speedo.

Speaker 4 (54:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (54:36):
I would say maybe almost like a Borat style with
like an old school Dusty Roads black and.

Speaker 4 (54:41):
Yellow, black and yellow with a giant I on around
the you know, almost like a like a wrestling single.

Speaker 3 (54:47):
Well, some of your favorite Fox Sports Radio friends will
be there, but listeners, friends, romans, countrymen, we are inviting
you Circa June twentieth, We're doing a live broadcast and
a bonus podcast on Saturday, So here's.

Speaker 4 (55:00):
How it rolls.

Speaker 3 (55:01):
Friday doing the show live pool party, Stadium Swim, the biggest,
most luxurious, beautiful pool in Vegas. So Circa for the
pool party Friday night the Legacy Lounge, which is the
top floor of Circa. They're having a firework show. We
got drinks and food and all the fun. That's kept
all the prices low, guys, so it's not going to

(55:21):
break the bank. You're invited. The next day, we're doing,
like I said, a podcast and another dinner for everybody.

Speaker 4 (55:27):
And I'll tell you what, because I want to get
back to the phone calls.

Speaker 3 (55:30):
We'll go over all the details on over Promised on
Fox Sports Radios YouTube page, give you all the details,
show you what it's all about. Right after this show
an hour from now, episode ninety three of over Promise.
But this is your invite Circa in Vegas. We hope
to see you there June twentieth, twenty first twenty second.
Let me just remind everyone though, for all the big
sports fans, they say that Circa has the nicest sports book,

(55:53):
and you should see the TV screens and all the
games going d Danny G.

Speaker 4 (55:57):
That's sports book. Oh yeah, I've sat in there for
two hours.

Speaker 3 (56:00):
My god, just I mean, it's beautiful and there's a
whole area where we are going to have a big
dinner on that Saturday night, the twenty first, drinks, food,
the whole deal. We'll give everyone more details as we
get closer, but circa that weekend of the twentieth and
twenty first, I'm telling you it's gonna be a blessed.
This is your invite. Guys, we hope to see you there.
Fox Sports Radio Nation. Details on our social media pages.

(56:21):
All right, we got discounts and all sorts of things
going on. But back to the phone calls, pac Man,
I'm telling you, if you didn't live it, please believe
me huge. I remember just being blown away the first
time I saw it. And you know, actually I was
such a spoiled kid, but my dad worked in the

(56:42):
vending industry. Yeah, I had a misspack Ran machine when
I was a kid.

Speaker 4 (56:46):
I bet you did. I did. I was like the
Mexican Ricky Schroeder living. Yeah, it's like silver Spoons Vato style.

Speaker 3 (56:55):
But anyway, it's one of those games that you do
want to go back in and relive and remember because
we had never seen anything like that before Atari, before
these arcade games, would you have like Pong and a
bunch of bs?

Speaker 1 (57:07):
Do you remember when pac Man had the sit down
version of the video game where player the table top?

Speaker 3 (57:12):
Yeah, listen, we had one of those at the iHeart
in New York, DANYG, like twenty years ago, and in
between songs, we'd all jump out there and play in between.

Speaker 4 (57:20):
Ah, that's that's really cool.

Speaker 1 (57:21):
I remember being a really really small kid and me
and my older brother we would look inside a teen
center that was in our city here in southern California.
I wish we could go in there because we saw
the teenagers playing pac Man while they were sitting down.

Speaker 3 (57:33):
All the young eighties bullies and teenagers trying to steal
your quarters and jump in on your game. Whether you
were at Showbiz pizza place or the arcade or your
hobby shack Rich buying baseball cards you said they had
video games there, or the bowling Alley was always great
for arcade games.

Speaker 4 (57:47):
What about Noah's Arcade?

Speaker 3 (57:49):
Yeah, if you can go back to Noah's Arcade, which
one would it be? No event view, I know, DANNYG
has a really great answer. I like your answer a
lot DANNYG. So I'm trying to think of a different
even even better than my before me if you're if
you're just joining us now at the end of last hour,
I said for me being more of a kid at
late eighties early nineties.

Speaker 4 (58:08):
Man, when NBA Jam that was a fourth player.

Speaker 3 (58:11):
By the way, yeah, fo, all these people say, you
know around there's a lot of pressure as a little
eighties kid because all these people were watching you play, right,
waiting for the next game.

Speaker 1 (58:20):
Yeah, another multiple player arcade game, Rich, where me and
my brother and cousin would take turns and we would
use pencils, pens, popsicle sticks to hit two buttons at
the same time.

Speaker 4 (58:31):
Track and Field. Oh yeah, absolutely, that was that.

Speaker 1 (58:34):
We spent hours on that damn stand up video game.
And then uh, the one at home and it's this
I probably have the best memories of unwrapping this one.
Punch out dude. You could not wait to get that
out of the package.

Speaker 3 (58:47):
Honestly, I think you stole my answer, Danny G. And
it was a two pronged answer because if I was
gonna go back to the arcade, and I mentioned this
to Rich and Spot recently, I remember all the arcade games.
I was such an arcade kid, and I loved playing
all these games. The one that stood out the most
to me, even before Dragon's Layer, which was like crazy

(59:08):
graphics for the time, that was Regular punch Out and
the sounds that went with it, the arcade sounds.

Speaker 11 (59:15):
Of body blow, body blow, body blow, uppercut, uppercut, great fighting,
You're an up and coming boxer, the whole thing of
Glass Joe and all these characters.

Speaker 3 (59:25):
Before Tyson was incorporated into the Nintendo the Arcade version,
and then when the Nintendo version.

Speaker 4 (59:31):
Came out, that was one of those like, oh man,
I got it, gotta have it, you gotta have that.

Speaker 1 (59:37):
And I tell you I remember, we bothered our mom
for months and we weren't the first on our street
to have it, so we were jealous of everyone who
had it. So when she finally got enough money to
get that for us, you know, because she was a
single mom at the time, we were beyond excited to
take that out of the packaging and.

Speaker 3 (59:53):
The Nintendo version, Mike Tyson's version, the graphics at the
time you thought were the greatest thing ever. So I
would love to go back and relive that if I could,
because I just remember how I was mesmerized by that game,
and I showed Rich a home video of me the
first time I fought Mike Tyson on the game. I
finally got there. My dad recorded it. So what was

(01:00:14):
that moment for you? And we'll go around the room.
We'll take your phone calls.

Speaker 9 (01:00:17):
What up?

Speaker 4 (01:00:18):
Dan Bayer.

Speaker 8 (01:00:18):
Techmo super Bowl on the Nintendo was the biggest because
the first tech Mobil that came out didn't have all
the teams, but this one none only did it have
the teams that had the little pixel graphic of the helmet,
the select screen dem Byer.

Speaker 3 (01:00:35):
I know you think you're a could be no guy,
but Kabino and I for years have when we talk
about the love of Techmobil, I always say, no, no, no,
Techmo super Bowl is the far superior Nintendo game.

Speaker 4 (01:00:51):
Absolutely, it was so good.

Speaker 3 (01:00:54):
So when I think in my mind tech Mobile, I'm
actually thinking Techmo Super Yes. And I a lot of
times in the past incorrectly said super tech Moobil.

Speaker 4 (01:01:02):
It's Techmo Super Yeah. I did the same thing.

Speaker 8 (01:01:04):
But to be able to play a full season, go
through the weeks, have a playoff setup, it was.

Speaker 4 (01:01:11):
It was great. The little kids dream that loves schedule
watching like you and I.

Speaker 3 (01:01:14):
You know, these are all great answers if you can
go back and relive it for the first time. Danny
G did you give your answer, because I thought you
were going to say.

Speaker 1 (01:01:22):
Something, Oh, the stand Up arcade game. Yeah, my first
memory of ever going to an arcade. I was mesmerized
by Pole Position.

Speaker 3 (01:01:29):
I remember being at Foton, which is a laser tag
place growing up, and they had a pole Position there
and that was like, You're almost intimidated to step up
and play that game, and it looks so cool.

Speaker 1 (01:01:41):
Especially seeing the older kids play it, dude at the time,
because they tried Yeah, exactly. We didn't know how to drive,
we didn't know what we were doing. We didn't know
what we were doing with the stick shift. But watching
the older kids do it, we wanted to try that too.
And I remember leaving that arcade thinking to myself, if
I could have a handheld version of that in the
car right now with my mom, I would play that
game forever.

Speaker 3 (01:02:01):
Well, you had pole Position, you had rad Racer too,
right for your Nintendo, But pole Position Arcade game was
definitely one of those games that everyone was just trying
to get in line to play. There was not a
great arcade where I grew up, so arcade games for
me were video. They had a couple of arcade games
at the Baseball car Shop, and they always had a
few at the bowling alley. And I remember at the

(01:02:23):
bowling alley, and I'll throw one more out there and
they'll take your phone calls at the bowling alley.

Speaker 1 (01:02:27):
By the way, start with Daniel in Missouri. He worked
at a bowling alley.

Speaker 3 (01:02:31):
When when you're at the bowling I remember, I remember,
remember the ball washer and they always had the crappy pizza.

Speaker 4 (01:02:38):
You were the ball washer.

Speaker 3 (01:02:41):
You want to be washer, So I remember. I'll give
you just one phrase and you'd be like, oh yeah,
finish Mortal Kombat. Dude, Mortal Kombat came out and you'd
be like the next level facing you next everyone put
their quarter of giuse you like, who's next level? And
you had to figure out your fatal I'll give you
a memory you probably forgot, Danny g you'll remember this.

Speaker 4 (01:03:02):
Wait, hold on, was that a sound effactor? I was Sam?

Speaker 3 (01:03:04):
That was Io Sam. He's good at that. Yeah, that
was pretty good, Sam. It was a good impression. But
you would have your quarter up, like Rich said, but
there would be little little hood rat rugrat kids that
would be going around every machine just trying to see
if there was quarters in the slots, trying to steal

(01:03:24):
your quarters. I mean, to this day, if you see
a payphone in your check right, Yeah, so all right,
let's go to the phones. If you can go back
on the anniversary of pac Man nineteen eighty, go back
and relive this experience for the first time. What video
game would you choose forty five years ago? Daniel and Missouri?
What's up, buddy boy?

Speaker 13 (01:03:41):
Hey, what's going on? Fellas?

Speaker 4 (01:03:42):
I love you guys, Thank you so much.

Speaker 13 (01:03:45):
All right, Yeah, so my answer has changed for about
nine times since I was listening to you guys. But
I think like hanging on like.

Speaker 14 (01:03:52):
The single mom vibe, and like I was an only child,
so like games were really important to me, you know
what I'm saying. Yeah, So, like, uh think for me
John Madden's Sports Talk Football with Joe Montana, I mean,
oh god, that was a changer for me. Like you
could like you were talking about Techno Super Bowl, you
could go in, you could change the rosters.

Speaker 13 (01:04:12):
You had all these statistics and everything. Man It's just
it made life good for me.

Speaker 3 (01:04:17):
Yeah, playing at home was a big deal. Yeah, it
was a different level and you were obsessed with it
and it was a fun part of your childhood.

Speaker 4 (01:04:24):
Right.

Speaker 3 (01:04:25):
But putting your initials up on the arcade, Let's not
forget about the bragging right that was involved with your
initials making the top three, top five on the actual
arcade game. If I could put a little sac in
there for Steven Anthony Cavino, the sac Man, those are
bragging rights, Dude, I was the king of KM. Well

(01:04:45):
you're Stephen A Steven, I'm the real steven A.

Speaker 8 (01:04:48):
There was also nothing like getting your skin of your
hand pinched playing Centipede. Oh oh, talk about the battle scolars.

Speaker 3 (01:04:59):
Actually tell her a little later in our life, Dan,
I had a buddy who sliced his whole hand open
playing pop What is it?

Speaker 4 (01:05:06):
What's the golf top? Gold? He did like a let
go slice.

Speaker 3 (01:05:14):
It's a different conversation for another day. But when rich
and I first met and started hanging out, we'd be
at local bars in Hoboken, New Jersey, playing like Buck
Hunter with Buck Hunter and Golden Tea with the Golden Games.
They had the Yeah, but that was a different era
in a different time.

Speaker 1 (01:05:27):
That's like when we finally had a gun at home
for Duck Hunt, right right, a game game changer. Hey,
you want to blow your mind, Danny G Do you
know fun fact I've seen this meme.

Speaker 3 (01:05:38):
Everybody's had duck Hunt and has played duck Hunt, but
the player to control controlled the ducks.

Speaker 4 (01:05:43):
We never knew that, no one, no one ever even
thought about it. Instruction he really did.

Speaker 3 (01:05:49):
So let's go to the phones and continue. If you
could relive these first time moments, what game would you pick?

Speaker 4 (01:05:55):
Let's say, how to John and Chico? Johnny, what's up? Man? Actually?
You know what.

Speaker 3 (01:06:00):
John wanted to talk NBA playoffs. But John, let's see
if he's got a video buddy.

Speaker 13 (01:06:05):
I got a video game. I spipp more quarters on
Defender in my life, and my buddy, my god, we'd
go down to a pizza place. I mean, that was
our day, you know, and I'll never forget one time
we couldn't get our quarter out of the darn machine.
We hit that thing. You know, you have to clonk
it if it didn't go all the way through. Well,
I hit that thing. The darn door came up and
there was more quarters and ball out. We just sat

(01:06:26):
there and played that thing for about eight hours.

Speaker 3 (01:06:28):
It's funny if you got if you kind of came
out in nineteen eighty one. By the way, have you
got little kids? My son is five, so we were
recently at an arcade and you know, he wants to
do the race card games.

Speaker 4 (01:06:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:06:39):
You know, remember when you're a little kid, how bad
you are because you're you would you would turn so extreme,
like like like you had no concept of like a
gentle turn.

Speaker 4 (01:06:47):
That's how we felt playing pole Position.

Speaker 9 (01:06:50):
Well.

Speaker 10 (01:06:50):
Speaking of race car games, one of my first memories
was Cruising World, where you had both a sit down
and a stand up steering wheel, different versions. I also
loved the Sen's video game in arcades, which was really
hard to beat.

Speaker 4 (01:07:03):
That was a tough one. I do remember that being
a tough fun Feelix Simpson's came out around the time
of Yeah, it was a little it was in the
nineties because I was I'm younger, y yeah, yah, yeah.
Do you remember Rampage?

Speaker 3 (01:07:12):
Do you remember that game where like it was like
like a Godzilla and a King Conger just smashed in
the buildings and all right, maybe not so back to
the phones. You brought up something I just have to mention. Sure,
you and DBA were talking about putting your initials on there,
and like the joy of that. That's why there was
a bit. There was a baseball game on Nintendo that
I thought was revolutionary.

Speaker 4 (01:07:32):
No one loved it. I don't.

Speaker 3 (01:07:33):
I don't hear many people talking about it. But the
Stars Baseball Stars, you were able to create your own players,
like you could make your little league team, and like,
this guy's fast, he has more power, like you did that.

Speaker 4 (01:07:44):
Have a baseball simulator.

Speaker 3 (01:07:45):
One thousand Baseball Stars was a game that I thought
was underrated. All right, well, since you brought it up,
and my answer was punch out for Arcade and Nintendo.
I remember clear as day. I feel like I was
in like fourth or fifth grade. I feel I was
like maybe in fifth grade. I was in great school
where I was hanging out a great school friend's house
and we're in his basement playing playing tiggle sticks, playing

(01:08:11):
we're playing tiggle sticks. We were playing uh Nintendo, and
everyone's just trying to get in on the game. And
I remember he had a cartridge that was shaped like
no other cartridge in the collection and put it in
and it was a baseball game, and it's still till
this day my favorite game, and I have it in
a handheld version and I still play every other night.

(01:08:33):
But I remember seeing the fireworks when you hit a
home run, and that game, honestly is still my favorite.
RBI Baseball. Ye, punch out is my is my answer.
But RBA Baseball might be my favorite game. And I
remember seeing it for the first time, Like I know you'll,
I know you disagree.

Speaker 4 (01:08:47):
Is it rb I Baseball or RBI's Baseball. No, it's
rb I. It's RBI Baseball. I was. I was a
bigger fan of bases Loaded, to be honest, I know
you weren't. Bases Loaded had better graphics. But the game sucked.

Speaker 3 (01:08:58):
So let's go back to the calls Steven and Spokane, Spokane,
What up? What up?

Speaker 4 (01:09:06):
What up?

Speaker 6 (01:09:07):
Man?

Speaker 12 (01:09:08):
Yeah, so someone just said my answer the same sentence,
but I'm gonna go with a backup in It's NFL blitch.

Speaker 2 (01:09:16):
NFL blitch, that's great.

Speaker 15 (01:09:17):
You just throw the football all the way down the
field and score a touch shows.

Speaker 4 (01:09:22):
Yeah, blitz was fun.

Speaker 3 (01:09:24):
There's a football game I was played all the time.
It was like robots that played. It was an arcade game.
I'm trying trying to look that up. Thanks for the call, man.
Who else do we got? That is our buddy Trip
in Vegas?

Speaker 4 (01:09:34):
Who's talking about Mutant League Football? I'm gonna look it up, Sammy,
I'm a framed poster of Mutant League Football. Trip. Who
we're gonna be hanging out with in Vegas at CIRCA?
What's up? Trip?

Speaker 12 (01:09:44):
What's up?

Speaker 5 (01:09:44):
Gentlemen?

Speaker 11 (01:09:45):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (01:09:45):
I already got Friday and Saturday night off. Looking forward
to seeing y'all. Look forward to hearing y'all in the
morning too.

Speaker 4 (01:09:50):
Okay, thank you so much for everything. Man. We're gonna
have a great time out there.

Speaker 5 (01:09:53):
I can't wait to see you guys.

Speaker 13 (01:09:54):
I'm not too.

Speaker 5 (01:09:55):
Busy repotting my plans anyway. So had a couple of
my boy Danny g took mine, but there's a couple
more so. We used to go to a Laddin capitle.
What a great name for our yep.

Speaker 4 (01:10:06):
I went to that.

Speaker 5 (01:10:07):
Yeah, play two, I would say, Karate camp and then
Funhouse the pinball game.

Speaker 4 (01:10:13):
Be again, very goodte stop Judge White, Dude, I love
me something Trup.

Speaker 3 (01:10:23):
We got you man, Adam and Bakersfield what's up, Adam
Hadow and Rich?

Speaker 2 (01:10:28):
Hey, how's it going?

Speaker 15 (01:10:29):
So?

Speaker 2 (01:10:29):
I got a few you mentioned Dragons Player that was
classic ten yard fight. Spent a lot of quarters on
that Dason, which had like the three D graphics at
a forty five degree angle, which was really cool at
the time. But I got to go back to probably
nineteen eighty two walking.

Speaker 5 (01:10:48):
Into the dimly lit arcade at.

Speaker 2 (01:10:50):
The Valley Plaza in Bakersfield, California. Crazy Climber, and this
is an obscure game with two handles, and you're like
a little guy trying to I'm up the skyscraper while
they're throwing pots at your head and King Kong at
the top with the wires.

Speaker 4 (01:11:07):
You guys, remember I'm looking at it right now.

Speaker 3 (01:11:09):
I'm not sure I remember it, but yeah, looks it
looks like a you know, a classic game. I'm not
sure I remember that, but dude, you hit the nail
on the head. I was just talking about home movies
that I've been looking through. Everything was so dimly lit
in the eighties, man, and then and before that. I'm
sure there was some sketch things. Every home video is like, yo,
did someone have the lights on or what? In contrary,

(01:11:31):
I feel like anything from the nineties is over lit.
Probably were too many neon lights. Yeah, we're leaning into
it because we lived through the dim dark ages. Yea,
we overcompensated. It was like, yeah, it's atole dim in
the eighties. I mean, we're ninety fluorescent lights now. By
the way, the reason we're talking about this today marks
the forty fifth anniversary. Pac Man made its debut in

(01:11:52):
video game f J in hop On. Let's go to
Dan and Casey. What's up Dan?

Speaker 2 (01:11:59):
Hey, you guys, I'm a good man.

Speaker 4 (01:12:01):
Have some good burn ends. What do we like? Jack Stacks?
And what was the other place?

Speaker 3 (01:12:05):
Arthur Mann one?

Speaker 4 (01:12:08):
Oklahoma? Joe's Yeah, another.

Speaker 5 (01:12:10):
One that's good.

Speaker 13 (01:12:12):
They're all good here.

Speaker 4 (01:12:12):
Yeah, some burns. What's up man?

Speaker 5 (01:12:15):
I used to work at Bowling Alley Extra Money in
the arcade.

Speaker 7 (01:12:21):
Back in the day.

Speaker 13 (01:12:22):
It was Contra and I don't want to be like
I was saying and give everything away.

Speaker 5 (01:12:27):
But the end of my time there was Double Dragon
and second Double.

Speaker 4 (01:12:32):
Dragon was a big one. Double Dragon, Yeah, Dragon and Contra.
Every game he called that, I was saying, yes, yes, great.
In every game he mentioned I love I agree, and
you know I would say I'm dumped it though. That's
a good Yeah. The Contra code. Do we all still
remember that? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:12:52):
Up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, be a
select start for two players.

Speaker 4 (01:12:56):
Let's go. What was the what was the Tyson code?

Speaker 3 (01:12:58):
Smarty pants double seven three seven three five nine six three.

Speaker 4 (01:13:02):
That's to get to Mike d Man. You must have
got all the girls I got, so I us your
brain remember that.

Speaker 10 (01:13:08):
You know there's this valuable information the screen can't hold
because it's holding those codes.

Speaker 3 (01:13:11):
I'm a special boy, Sam, that's why. Yeah, and he
knows that. But the last book he read was Where
the Wild Things Are? Yeah, right, Huff, you're on in Maine?

Speaker 4 (01:13:18):
What's up? What up? Hoff?

Speaker 13 (01:13:20):
Hey, guys, this is an awesome topic, thanks man.

Speaker 1 (01:13:22):
So I'm gonna go way back.

Speaker 12 (01:13:25):
We actually had an activision arcade right near where I
grew up and Spy Hunter back in the day, a.

Speaker 4 (01:13:34):
Line of rock oyal slick dude smoke screens, Yes, ye
did d sports game was our tribals, of course. I
love that.

Speaker 3 (01:13:49):
That was a that was a bowling game, bowling alley
game for me. That's where the basketball, heyers. The dude
had a mohawk, right, and you just actual Lound Our
Rivals was a good one. I used to love to
play that game. And for the record, if you keeping
score at home, I was saying, was right. Mutant Mutant
League Football was when I played a lot at the
arcade too.

Speaker 4 (01:14:08):
I just forgot the name of it. A great call, man.

Speaker 3 (01:14:10):
I appreciate it. I feel like we got all the
good answers, even though the phones.

Speaker 4 (01:14:13):
Are all lit. They're kidding.

Speaker 3 (01:14:15):
Could anyone name their greatest video game disappointment?

Speaker 4 (01:14:22):
Like? What game were like? This stinks because you just
weren't good at it? Danergy. For me, I was a
big wrestling fan as a kid.

Speaker 3 (01:14:29):
Hul Kogan, Macho Man, Andre the Giant, the first like
w w F wrestling game on Nintendo stunk. There was
one called Tag Team Wrestling for Nintendo was stunk. I
was a big arcade Matt Mania fan at the arcade.

Speaker 1 (01:14:42):
I remember everyone, all the kids at school talking about
that game paper Boy, and I'm like, Oh, I can't
wait to try this, and then I would like to.

Speaker 16 (01:14:51):
I didn't like it. Doom. I took to the Star
Wars stand up arcade game. Remember that one You had
to drop the missile at the perfect time. What about
the what do I remember all of them?

Speaker 3 (01:15:06):
A typical A tron tron looked really cool. I always
like was intimidated by it.

Speaker 4 (01:15:12):
Scared of that game.

Speaker 3 (01:15:13):
Wasn't there some type of a short docu series or
documentary about the et video game and how they're all
buried somewhere? Yeah, New Mexico is notoriously known to be
the worst Atari game ever, and it sort of like
ended the whole phase and they ended up over manufacturing
them and they buried them in a in a what
would you even call it?

Speaker 4 (01:15:34):
So you mean in you know, a million years?

Speaker 3 (01:15:36):
When when when civilization's gone, some new civilizations, because they're
gonna be like TV.

Speaker 4 (01:15:43):
You know, who's kind of forgotten.

Speaker 3 (01:15:45):
Like like I was saying before Super Marios everything, I
thought pac Man would be right because pac Man was
the the iconic character. Froger was pretty big too.

Speaker 4 (01:15:58):
Back then.

Speaker 3 (01:15:58):
Froger was huge. Yeah, a big, big game. I would say,
the faces of video games if you were to talk
about generations, like you know, you could you could do
the faces of quarterbacks in the NFL or you know,
NBA stars through the generations.

Speaker 4 (01:16:12):
I would say it like a mount rush.

Speaker 3 (01:16:13):
I would say, like pac Man, Super Mario Sonic, and
then it just became more like first person like call
of duty and like those type of things. But as
far as yah, who's that fourth, that's a good one.
I don't know who the fourth is.

Speaker 8 (01:16:24):
But to your point about Froger, I felt like Froger
was like pac Man was one, and Frogger and Donkey
Kong were like the silver and Bronze.

Speaker 4 (01:16:33):
Yeah, you know, like of that era.

Speaker 8 (01:16:34):
Just I mean, obviously Super Mario bigger than those two,
but I felt like Frogger and Donkey Kong were the I.

Speaker 3 (01:16:40):
Agree, you know, to pac Man, and that was the
first time we were introduced to Mario and Donkey Kong.

Speaker 4 (01:16:46):
I was gonna say, maybe for.

Speaker 3 (01:16:48):
Lack of someone else, pac Man, Mario Sonic, maybe unless
you can think of something else.

Speaker 4 (01:16:53):
Donkey Kong also appeared in the Mario Brothers movie.

Speaker 3 (01:16:56):
If you saw that with your kids, fantastic, Like Donkey
Kong's part of that Mario world. Now, So I don't know,
it's an interesting one because right it's got to be
pac Man, Mario and Sonic. Those are like the the
faces of different brands and everything. Dan Byron, I'm sure
you remember, Danny g. You'll probably remember Ioa Sam. You
were busy playing Earthworm.

Speaker 4 (01:17:17):
Gym or whatever.

Speaker 3 (01:17:17):
You're playing Marble, Marble Madness or whatever. You're got the
worm Gym. But when Double Dribble, by the way he came,
he has no partner. It's just I thought it was
like someone an Earthworm Gym when swirm Rich messed it up.
But do you guys remember seeing for the first time
the epitome of awesome graphics when Double Dribble Double, when

(01:17:43):
it went into the slam dunk mode, you were like,
it was almost like the tech Bowl here. It was
almost similar to the tech Bow Bowl High five, but
it was even cooler because it was a completely changed
The slam dunk went in and you would miss, you
would break the slam dunk and and the graphics at
that time. When you see him now, it's laughable. You

(01:18:04):
see him with your kids, like kids. This was what
was considered amazing, which is I love the graphic of
Tom Brady from a couple of years ago is like,
this is how long Tom Brady's been playing and it
was his first football video game. And then it was like,
you know, Madden twenty three or whatever. The Noble Dribble
Double dribble. So let's wrap it up with your phone

(01:18:24):
calls little crossfire, which means why say your name, say
what's up?

Speaker 4 (01:18:29):
And make it snappy?

Speaker 8 (01:18:30):
All right?

Speaker 4 (01:18:31):
What's your game? L pass o'manny? What's up?

Speaker 14 (01:18:33):
Man? Kid?

Speaker 4 (01:18:36):
Was Gig Doug?

Speaker 5 (01:18:37):
Nintendo Does at Home was two of them.

Speaker 2 (01:18:39):
Batman and teenage meeting Ninja Turtle where he was all
four Turtle.

Speaker 4 (01:18:43):
That was cool. Ninja Turtles was Doe, Chris and Columbus.
What's up man?

Speaker 14 (01:18:48):
All right? Love watch Man? You had mentioned the robot
football game. I believe it was called Cyberball and you
could upgrade your quarterback door very fast, but he would small.

Speaker 3 (01:19:01):
I'm looking that up now because I do remember playing
a lot of these games and the previous caller that said,
oh yeah, total, yes, you know what. Now I'm confused
if I played cyber Ball or Mutant League Football, they're
like the same game. But the call I said, dig Doug.
It made me think of Cubert and how big Kubert
was at one point. But you know, if I had
that one wish Danny g to go back in time,

(01:19:23):
it wouldn't be my answer.

Speaker 4 (01:19:24):
It would still be punching.

Speaker 3 (01:19:25):
It'd have to be like an iconic mouth dropping moment
of no Way Ray in Northern Cali.

Speaker 2 (01:19:31):
Hey Ray, Hey guys, I just got to shout you out.

Speaker 14 (01:19:35):
Rich you dated the girl from the Threat Farm documentary.

Speaker 4 (01:19:39):
I did a lot of girls, man, you I mean ude, my.

Speaker 5 (01:19:44):
Game was Yeah, you know, I wish say I'm a
lot of people.

Speaker 4 (01:19:48):
Third person that Rob Indiana, what's up? Whoops? Oh, by
the way, you dated Jamel Hill. That's pretty wild.

Speaker 15 (01:19:58):
Shout the milestone. I'm fifty six. I remember the launch
of all video games, but I remember Pong being really
the first thing that stood out. And then the Atari
twenty six hundred comes out, the clicko, the in television,
and you start getting you know, Space Invaders, Asteroids and
Missile Command. I remember I went to a party, a
birthday party at a pizza place, and they said there's

(01:20:20):
gonna be games there, so I think at Bozo Buckets, Monopoly.
I never heard of the video game. I walk in
this back room and I see, you know, a pinball
machine and these things I never saw before. This was
before pac Man, but Space Invaders was the one that
really kind of changed and said the whole games. You know,
we don't think about it much anymore, but When pac
Ma came out, that was that was the game changer

(01:20:41):
of all time. Everything started to go with that. But
before that, I'd had to put Pong in Space Evaders
on that Mount Rushmore, followed by pac Man and then
everything you just move forward.

Speaker 3 (01:20:50):
Yeah, Space Evaders was definitely a huge game. Phoenix is
very similar to that. My first Atari game though, jaw
dropping because to me it was like, oh my god,
I could play games at home. I was playing Atario
twenty six hundred and Commando Raid. I thought was like
the most amazing thing I'd ever seen. Oh they'll be

(01:21:10):
too upset. We'll have fun today. I mean, that's the plan, right,
even though it's early for us, Happy to be here,
always pumped Stoppy in for the great Dan Patrick, Steve Cabino,
Rich Davis, our super producer, Danny g He's the guy
with the smooth and buttery voice.

Speaker 4 (01:21:27):
But it sounds like this, Yeah, that's Troy. We're gonna
be playing James today, wore giving away.

Speaker 3 (01:21:32):
Prius is having fun and Iowa. Sam's on the xylophones.
I'm sorry, the glockenspiel cypress hill style because he wants
to be a superstar. That's Rich Davis in the background
and spots on the videos. You know, we stream live
now on Fox Sports Radios YouTube page. What's going on,

(01:21:53):

(01:22:35):

play and always participate. At eight seven, seven ninety nine
on Fox, Hope you had a okay cee sort of night.

Speaker 4 (01:22:46):
They're just slaying it. Huh yeah. Dominant, very dominant, makes
it kind of boring.

Speaker 3 (01:22:52):
It's the reallyest The ratings are trash right right, because
proof of the ratings, I mean, the reality.

Speaker 4 (01:22:58):
Is okay, say is just steam rolling everyone.

Speaker 3 (01:23:01):
But that brings up a thought that I want to
get to in a second about SGA. We're gonna talk
about balding Baldo Rinaldos and what would you do if
you are a balding guy? I what if I told
you you might be able to reverse it easily? And
it's not some super commercial. There is a crazy breaking
story about balding men.

Speaker 4 (01:23:21):
Is this like a real story or something you saw
on TikTok? Well, dude, this is real.

Speaker 3 (01:23:25):
Okay, it's real thing, okay, plus a dumb hypothetical about
being mad about something.

Speaker 4 (01:23:33):
But yet you don't support it. I'll give you an example.

Speaker 3 (01:23:37):
Remember when Twinkies they were were discontinuing Twinkies.

Speaker 4 (01:23:40):
In the world was like outrage, no, no, life is over.

Speaker 3 (01:23:50):
Meanwhile, you hadn't bought a Twinkie in years. I get it.
Twenty years passes and you haven't bought a Twinkie, but
you're mad if they discontinue it. So, okay, I have
a funny story in the news about that, but we'll
get you ready for the weekend. That's what we do.
Happy to be here holiday weekend. So that being said,
we salute all who served and died for this country
as we headed to a Memorial Day weekend, Happy to

(01:24:11):
be here, And I said, we'll get you ready for that,
and we'll get you ready with something called weekend hobnobbing.
Aside from all the great sports, what you need to
watch in the world of sports and entertainment, the weekend hobnobbing.

Speaker 4 (01:24:24):
We do it every Friday.

Speaker 3 (01:24:24):
Yeah, and a big story that I want to get
to today. I'm just to listen to these things so
I make sure I get to them. Alex Cora put
in a scenario that people love to debate in sports,
and that's personal life versus work. And where's the line
what's more important? I think it's obvious, But this is
story where it's like, was it obvious? We'll get to

(01:24:47):
all that coming up, but I mean again, rating's probably stunk. Okay,
see and Minnesota the Wolves even going to show up
or what?

Speaker 4 (01:24:57):
What do you think the executives are saying writings, Yeah,
the Timberwolves have to show up. Make it a series.

Speaker 3 (01:25:06):
When are we gonna put a little, uh, a little
respect on the name of the Okay c Thunder.

Speaker 4 (01:25:11):
When is s g A? What is Shae Gilgas?

Speaker 3 (01:25:14):
Alexander gonna get the love he deserves, right, because I
thought about it, and it's almost it's almost.

Speaker 4 (01:25:20):
Like he should be named MVP of the league or something. Yeah, right,
he should be m v P. That's I think you're right.

Speaker 3 (01:25:26):
I think when you could say his name with full
confidence and not think that you're saying it wrong, Gilder everybody,
it's like when you couldn't say Giannis, really no, you
couldn't say Anton the Kompo. Yeah, well you just still
can't say that, so you call him s g A.
I think that's it starts there. But I think it's

(01:25:47):
just a matter of familiarity, rich I think after the series, after.

Speaker 4 (01:25:52):
This run, but especially if they win it all, if
they win.

Speaker 3 (01:25:55):
It all and and he's m v P. Yeah, like
I've thought about it. You go back to the draft
in twenty eighteen, if you go back in time time,
if you go back in time twenty eighteen, and you realize,
let me look at that draft real quick, that was
the Luca Covid.

Speaker 4 (01:26:13):
If I remember before the world changed. If you go
back to the year.

Speaker 3 (01:26:18):
Before I lost my eyesight, you know, it's not that
I'm getting older. I suffer from what I call covid.

Speaker 4 (01:26:25):
Ie.

Speaker 3 (01:26:25):
You don't have COVID eye on you. My eyes were
never the same, dude. No, it's it's definitely not that
you're in your forties.

Speaker 4 (01:26:30):
No, no, no, no no.

Speaker 3 (01:26:32):
And uh my hair thinned out a little bit now
because I'm getting older. COVID hair, bro, So you're going
pre coviden the olden days.

Speaker 4 (01:26:40):
Take me back.

Speaker 3 (01:26:43):
The Suns chose DeAndre Ayton, Marvin Bagley went two. That
was the year Luca went three, right, Jaron Jackson, Junior
Trey Young, couple, couple you know stars in this draft,
but you go all the way down to crappy one two,
Thiev eleven.

Speaker 4 (01:27:02):
I mean he's a first rounder.

Speaker 3 (01:27:04):
But again, a guy I've had has averaged over thirty
points a game the last couple of seasons, yet he's
never in the conversation. Yeah, but like I know, he's MVP,
So you could say, Rich, you're full of what are
you talking about?

Speaker 4 (01:27:17):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (01:27:18):
Quality wise, but I don't think do you know many
kids that have an OKC Alexander Jersey.

Speaker 4 (01:27:24):
Do you see that around town? Well, part of that
is the market they're in.

Speaker 3 (01:27:27):
I was gonna say, really, just a small market anything,
smaller market anything, and of course they become a bigger
household name with a bigger reputation the more they win.
I think it's simply that small market teams small market reputation.
I mean it's a weak ass example.

Speaker 4 (01:27:47):
But Otani was always a star.

Speaker 3 (01:27:49):
Are you saying how Otani went from like you know,
the guy dominating but he's on the Angels to the Dodgers?
Like if you're tell me Sga was part of some
mega trade and ended up the Knicks, Lakers, Golden State,
the Heat, something like that, then all of a sudden
that would change completely. Yeah, I mean tie it into
your own world. We always talk markets here in radio,

(01:28:10):
and by the way, happy to.

Speaker 4 (01:28:11):
Be on a million of them.

Speaker 3 (01:28:14):
Shout out to all the affiliates this morning, appreciate you
always great to be here. I think I'm Patrick. I
think Dean Patrick really is on close to a million affiliates.
But you could be the greatest radio show ever, like
weeniing the butt in the mornings.

Speaker 4 (01:28:27):
But if you're only on in Dayton, Ohio, exactly. That's
not to Dayton, Ohio.

Speaker 3 (01:28:32):
It's just you could be the greatest there, but not
everybody's gonna know and respect you the way they should
because it's Dayton, Ohio. It's as simple as that. It's
a market thing. I agree with Danny G. That doesn't
mean it can't change. But winning, as we always say,
winning changes everything. Bill Belichick right, everyone's like man, Bill's
bringing a whole lot of a.

Speaker 4 (01:28:50):
Lot of noise to u NC. You know how you
fix that? Winning? Winning fixes everything. So I say winning.

Speaker 3 (01:28:56):
I think of Charlie Sheen, and I think it's old
enough that it's retro get winning.

Speaker 4 (01:29:03):
You still have that on standby. You know, Samp pulled
that out of his back pocket winning huge Charlie sheet fan.
You were waiting for us to bring that back.

Speaker 3 (01:29:13):
I do love the Three Musketeers. Honestly, something's not right.
We're not saying that anything's wrong, but it is wrong
to not respect them the way that we should because
they seem insanely that I know.

Speaker 4 (01:29:23):
I know, and Danny G.

Speaker 3 (01:29:27):
You may roll your eyes because you're like, dude, he's
the MVP. He's you know, looks like he's gonna roll
to the NBA Finals. But but it's not like household names. Yeah,
I feel like your mom doesn't know his name unless
the mom test the mom testing, you know. But you're right,
you brought up young people, young people probably very yeah,
wear point, but it's the uh, it's the Aunt Sharon
at Easter, Christmas or a holiday event.

Speaker 4 (01:29:48):
Like, dude, leave my Aunt Sharon as they might be
listening and rich.

Speaker 1 (01:29:51):
You may need to slow down that comment just a
little bit until I see, okayc get a big lead
and keep it in Minnesota. Then I'll agree with that
because think back, ask a Laker if it's easy to
win in Minnesota.

Speaker 4 (01:30:06):
Listen Minnesota.

Speaker 3 (01:30:08):
I think the t Wolves, Anthony Edwards, that whole squad
is fun to watch. I enjoy them. Like I said,
this matchup isn't necessarily what the executives wanted. Ratings gold
Baby Gold of course, that they would have wished upon
a star for somehow Golden State or the Lakers or
staff or they're.

Speaker 4 (01:30:25):
Getting their ratings in the Eastern Conference.

Speaker 3 (01:30:27):
Of course, big time, but a big time different view
of star power and excitement and competition and market size
and market size. Yeah, it comes back to that New
York the Knicks to Garden. I'm not trying to be
the ratings guy like boring, because I don't want to
be that guy.

Speaker 4 (01:30:44):
I really don't. But we said it a little while back.

Speaker 3 (01:30:49):
If it's the Pacers, okase, you could argue that it
could be the lowest ratings of the twenty first century.

Speaker 4 (01:30:57):
Well, here's the thing, rich is it?

Speaker 3 (01:30:59):
As far as ratings executives, clearly would appreciate the Knicks
stepping up and taking it further because it's great for
basketball and it's high profile and big market. But who
would be the greater ratings rival in the finals? I
would have assumed the Timberwolves. You know, I don't stand corrected,

(01:31:25):
but I just found the top selling jerseys in the NBA,
and would.

Speaker 4 (01:31:31):
You assume that SGA is in the top ten. Young
kids are front runners and they're like superstars and everybody's
a fan of greatness.

Speaker 3 (01:31:39):
Hey, your boy here. Steve Cavino from Union, New Jersey.
I had a Michael Jordan jersey. I mean I also
had like a Jalen Rose jersey because I thought the
Nuggets jersey was kind of cool.

Speaker 4 (01:31:52):
Back then.

Speaker 3 (01:31:53):
I had a bunch of random jerseys. But of course
I had a Jordan jersey because greatness is fun through
for I'm not surprised we're.

Speaker 4 (01:32:01):
Talking the MVP.

Speaker 3 (01:32:03):
Young kids who were in the market of buying a
new jersey absolutely would probably go to that first. Oh
you're a Yankees fan. I'm surprised you're not a Cowboys
and Lakers fan too. Yeah, but hold on, we lived
in an era where things started to change.

Speaker 4 (01:32:17):
You became a fan of greatness.

Speaker 3 (01:32:19):
I didn't root for the Raiders, I didn't root for
the Royals, but I was a fan of Bo Jackson,
who wasn't what nineties kid didn't like Michael Jordan or
Bo Jackson or Ken Griffy Junior. Right, So he would
be in that category. For a young person today, you're
hanging up posters in their room.

Speaker 4 (01:32:35):
Or whatever they do. What do they do a little
light up? My kids? No, it's not the same. Even
though my daughter has posters.

Speaker 3 (01:32:44):
You can still have a fatheads or is at the
two thousand and some like cool lights, some sort of
galaxy on their ceiling like my kid, HELLI d's my
kid has some little ball that you let out that
it makes like it looks like the Milky Ways on
their sailings. So they probably have some SGA hologram up there,
you know, floating around their room, some sort of fat
head because he is the MVP. So it's just it
doesn't pass the Aunt Sharon test, but it passes the

(01:33:08):
give me a good little Kidney Jackson test. With an
ex Jackson jacks it passes the Kyler test. Yeah, you
know Jackson. So yeah, so you like.

Speaker 11 (01:33:18):
SGA of Carse I know, at an SGA wall hologram.

Speaker 1 (01:33:23):
With With that in mind, with SGA and after this
MVP season, maybe his stardom will pick up. On the
other side of things, Tyree Slliburton, is he a superstar?

Speaker 3 (01:33:33):
Well, I mean what to find the superstar? Is that
the question? I didn't get to that too. You know
that's a great transition. Let me ask you before we
do that, though, Well, you know what superstar moments? What
are the what do you think the top ten selling
jerseys are? Now, this is based on the second half
of the NBA season. Luca's in there, Lucas number one.
I remember this is the second half, so think people

(01:33:55):
buying that Luca Lakers jersey.

Speaker 4 (01:33:57):
Jason to be in there, he's.

Speaker 3 (01:33:59):
Number four, Okay, I imagine Lebron's still in there. Number three,
Curry is still in there.

Speaker 4 (01:34:03):
Number two. You guys just nailed the top four. Okay,
New York so Brunson number five.

Speaker 3 (01:34:09):
Yeah, Hey, you guys are like Steve Harvey would buy
his mustache, would be uh, you know, shimmering right now
with your family feud style excellence. Speaking of which, Dan
Patrick's celebrity family feud.

Speaker 4 (01:34:21):
How cool is that?

Speaker 3 (01:34:22):
We gotta get on that, all right? You guys name
the top five. It's called celebrity field getting Berger family.
I'm thinking young stars, Jahn Morant, John Morant's number eight,
So here you go, you're rolling keep on the young.

Speaker 1 (01:34:34):
Star the oh I didn't play the second half of
the season, but Wemby.

Speaker 3 (01:34:39):
Number six, nice, my clean sweetness. Then there's one more
at number seven, and I'll give you this. SGA is
number nine and it's someone he's playing right now.

Speaker 4 (01:34:51):
Ah Edwards.

Speaker 3 (01:34:53):
Edwards is number seven, baby Jordan, right, And then you'll
getch rounds out the top ten and then Giannis Lamel
hellow Ball, KD, Devin Booker and Jalen Brown. But he's
a top ten selling Jersey so Camino your theory of
like yo kids know it just it might not pass
the Aunt Janet at Christmas test like man, okc with.

Speaker 4 (01:35:14):
Who's that guy again?

Speaker 3 (01:35:16):
And Sharon and Janet that's uh Shay gilges Alexander, Oh yeah,
just saying for a guy that's putting up these numbers,
I think he should be more of a household name.
And when people talk about the young stars in the league,
who else is in their twenties.

Speaker 4 (01:35:34):
Doing what he was doing?

Speaker 3 (01:35:35):
A lot of the other guys we speak of on
that list are thirty ish or older.

Speaker 4 (01:35:39):
The veterans, right, well, there is a feeling.

Speaker 3 (01:35:42):
I saw Charles Barkley being interviewed by one of our pals,
Adam Glynn, who does celebrity interviews like TMZ style interviews,
and he's like, how do you feel about the thunders
chances and what do you think about SGA sort of
coming out of nowhere?

Speaker 4 (01:35:55):
That's the feeling.

Speaker 3 (01:35:57):
Like he sort of came out of nowhere. But that's
not the truth. Yeah, but it feels that way, right,
not the truth doing it. Plus, it takes a minute
to acclimate to the NBA. So let's keep that Night's
still a young guy, but he's been averaging thirty plus,
which seems like foreverybody, but it seems like exactly so
it's not out of nowhere.

Speaker 4 (01:36:15):
It just feels that way.

Speaker 3 (01:36:17):
And now they're on a bigger stage and all those
things change a reputation. That's when the kids tell the
older folks like, see, we told you, because now when
it's not a big stage like this, doesn't matter what
market they're playing for. And that's how you create that
reputation and that's what makes you a superstar. And we
can actually transition into that. But before we move past

(01:36:38):
the timberwolves, and I'm sure we're going to bring them
up again. Timberwolves just looking weak compared to the thunder.
They're not wolves rich. But there is a viral story today.
I'll see this. I'll tell you what I did see
this though all my way to worked this morning. We
live out here in Los Angeles. I'm never up at
this early, you know, that four or five am hour
here on the West coast, you know, getting ready to
come here.

Speaker 4 (01:36:58):
Yeah, it's not our normal schedule.

Speaker 3 (01:36:59):
Normally were on two to four on the west, five
to seven pm on the east. What were those wolves
in Game of Thrones? I swear I saw a dire
wolf on my street I think you're lying. I mean
it could you might argue riche was probably a little coyote.
But in my mind this morning, as I pulled out
of my driveway, I'm like, this is a dire wolf.
I want you to look this up immediately immediately. I

(01:37:24):
immediately texted my wife. I'm like, don't let our dog
outside like that.

Speaker 4 (01:37:27):
I just saw a shadow in my mind, in my
four thirty in the morning mind.

Speaker 3 (01:37:33):
This morning, I was like, I think John Snow is
walking a dire wolf on my street. Dude, they are
everywhere in Los Angeles. I'm sure you guys have seen
the stories. You saw that story with Tommy Lee's dog, right,
some coyote hopped over like a ten foot fence, grabbed
this dog dog and yeah, hungry man, yoh these things
are wild right. So literally, there's a story today or

(01:37:57):
I saw it today. I think it was a timber
not a wolf. Not a timber wolf, but five coyotes.
Five coyotes I think equal one wolf.

Speaker 4 (01:38:06):
But five coyota. You can ask me one man or
five coyotes. No, no, no, no.

Speaker 3 (01:38:11):
Five coyotes versus a creeping Five coyotes are a silver
back girl. And I think this story is a random
stray black labrador fights off and fends off five coyotes.
Now I don't know, like, of course, maybe you're thinking,
of course a lab could fight off five coyotes.

Speaker 4 (01:38:30):
To me, I was like, Yo, that's impressive.

Speaker 3 (01:38:33):
This five pack of coyotes attack and one black lab
fights them off.

Speaker 4 (01:38:42):
That's viral today.

Speaker 3 (01:38:43):
Protecting I thought it was protecting the house and the kids,
but I think it was a stray and it was
all caught on film.

Speaker 4 (01:38:48):
And it went viral this morning on my way and I.

Speaker 1 (01:38:50):
Saw, Yeah, it says wildlife cam shows stray dog fighting off, right.

Speaker 3 (01:38:54):
The stray got the best of him when he drew
a tunnel on a brick wall. Really true? The coyotes nice, yes, yes,
so look out for that. It's it's a local LA
story though from my understanding, Ria, California. Yeah, so I
saw it on the news today. But again, not wolves,
but coyotes. Props to that black lab. Pretty sweet. So

(01:39:17):
speaking of s g A and the feeling, it's there's
no truth behind it is the feeling of him not
getting the respect he deserves. And again, would we say
winning and winning on a big stage always changes that.

Speaker 4 (01:39:33):
What do you have thirty eight points. Last night they
have dominating.

Speaker 3 (01:39:39):
There was a question post well what makes you a superstar?
Because Stephen A. Smith says something in regards to Halliburton,
who had a huge moment. Harry's Halliburton. You know it's
that right, No, the other guy you mentioned stephen A
the other the other Stephen Next. The fact of the
matter is this mean President Smith, Danny Rock, just because

(01:40:03):
you come up in clutch moments doesn't make you a superstar?
Now this stephen A, Stephen A Covino, Stephen Anthony Cavino
the second says well, if coming up and clutch moments
does it make you a superstar?

Speaker 4 (01:40:18):
Then what does That's.

Speaker 3 (01:40:21):
Like someone saying just because she has a perfect just
because she has a perfect ass in great moves, does
it make her hot. You're like, well, I think it's
part of what makes you a superstar, but I think
there is something else that's a big light actually make
you a superstar. So we posed this question when we
talk Sga and Halliburton, all these young stars that are

(01:40:42):
playing big in these big moments, what are the moments
or maybe the intangibles that actually make you a superstar, Like,
what's the key ingredient. Rich, I like that k ingredients,
the characterotistics, what's the main ingredient. We gotta salute the
fallen troops this Memorial Day weekend, so hey have a

(01:41:03):
great one on their behalf. Okay, all the people that
served and died for this country enjoy the holiday weekend
which starts, I don't know in fourteen minutes for us.
Right by the way, speaking of you know, proud military members. Yeah,
how have you of all people? Being that you're a
eye rollingly annoying Yankees fan not talked about that Clark

(01:41:25):
Schmidt beautiful moment where his father throughout the first pitch,
I was very cool, surprised him, and they embraced Clark
Schmidt Yankee superstar, well superstar, but hey, he's in the
bigs doing well.

Speaker 4 (01:41:39):
He's got good stuff. And I only say that because
we were talking about what makes a superstar earlier today
on the show.

Speaker 3 (01:41:45):
And I also want to say rest in peace, Jim
your say. I hear a lot of people talk about it.
We have the honor of interviewing the guy. Seem like
a seemed like a regular fella, like a great businessman.

Speaker 4 (01:41:58):
Nice dude.

Speaker 3 (01:41:59):
I mean, the you know, the team was handed down
to him when his father passed. I believe in now
it'll be passed on again. But the Yarsay family. I
saw McAfee Peyton manning a bunch of former cults and
people from that organization, all sending their best wishes.

Speaker 4 (01:42:13):
I remember when we interviewed him, he was wearing like
this hound's.

Speaker 3 (01:42:15):
Tooth suit, like real stylish suit, like yo, man, sweet suit, dude,
wild guy man.

Speaker 4 (01:42:20):
He's like a wild, eccentric guy. Man. How about his
last tweet? I know it was the Halliburton game.

Speaker 3 (01:42:28):
Yeah, sixty five years old, But Jimmy, is that the
was the was the doink final Haliburton shot?

Speaker 4 (01:42:35):
Was that a little?

Speaker 3 (01:42:37):
Was that a little, Jimmy? Or say from a from
up above? Well it's a weird thought, but it's a
modern day thought. It's like instead of your last words,
like what would your last words be? Right? Like what
was your what would be your last tweet? Because he
wrote go Pacers, good luck to her, the entire Pacers
organization and our city. He did the little flex strong
in the horror sending love riches would.

Speaker 1 (01:42:59):
Be something about one soo towards the end of his contract,
like le On you could get it going.

Speaker 4 (01:43:04):
On alone riches last week like good luck rock party,
I love you stop it.

Speaker 3 (01:43:10):
So it does make you think that more, But throw like,
what would your last tweet be?

Speaker 4 (01:43:14):
Or what party?

Speaker 3 (01:43:15):
Who is quote happy with the new deal? Because we
are quote exactly where we need to be as an organization.
All the Niners are gonna surprise everyone this year and
I can't wait. Maybe we should have like some something
profound and pin it right in our profile just so
it always stays there, just in case, Yeah, some deep
quote your last tweet, it's probably gonna be some nonsense.

(01:43:37):
Cono's gonna maybe pin something cool just in case. Yeah,
Covino before Cavino accidentally, you know, falls off a cliff,
He's gonna tweet Yo, look at junk Carlos buns something dumb.

Speaker 4 (01:43:49):
All right?

Speaker 3 (01:43:50):
So hey, rest in peace and guys, have a great weekend.
Bye before we go. Yes, something we do every Friday,
It's called weekend hobnobbin fo the weekend.

Speaker 4 (01:44:01):
You're winning bets for talking points. If you get stuck socializing,
you ever done anything dangerous? You ever dance with the
devil in the panel line? Friday brings us weekend hop
Now so again, we do this every Friday to get
you ready.

Speaker 3 (01:44:15):
So come Monday or come Tuesday after the holiday weekend,
you know what's going on.

Speaker 4 (01:44:20):
We'll keep you will to know.

Speaker 3 (01:44:21):
And of course we're gonna watch Pacers next to night.
So pumped about that. But what else is going on
in the world of sports and enter their taint de
mint Right, I've been waiting months for this.

Speaker 4 (01:44:30):
I am the biggest Pee Wee Herman fan. Paging mister Herman.
I know you.

Speaker 3 (01:44:39):
Have a telephone call at the front desk. Welcome to
Stevie's playhouse. Steve Cabrino me super pumped to watch the
Pee Wee Herman documentary on Max Pee Wee as himself.
As you guys know, he passed away what about a
year ago, and in this docu memory we learn a

(01:45:01):
lot about who p. W. Herman really was, who Paul
Rubens is and how he became the character and he
comes out of the closet. That's the big story. He
talks about his personal life. He was always in character.
You didn't know a lot about Paul Rubens. Demand do
we finally get closure on that? Weird was an egg
salad scene from Big Top Pee wee.

Speaker 4 (01:45:22):
I say, do you remember that scene? I feel like
that was him telling the world like I'm not interested
in this woman because I'm interested in men, so I
don't like your egg salad. I thought that scene was
always weird as a kid, like, listen, what are you
talking about? He's the ladies man.

Speaker 3 (01:45:34):
Remember how Dotty wanted him Dottie and Chucks Fike Orama.

Speaker 4 (01:45:38):
I mean when Dotty was hitting up and he was
pretending like my friend's that working, like yeah, baby, pee wee.

Speaker 3 (01:45:44):
The character, right, was really just a boy. He was
just pretending to be like a little boy kind of,
but he was like a man boy. So his mindset
really just wasn't there. But what was he all about?
We find out on Max. I'm super excited. He is
one of my favorites growing up.

Speaker 4 (01:46:01):
He's on my comedy Mount Rushmore for sure.

Speaker 3 (01:46:04):
And Mission Impossible, Dude, Mission Impossible, Anything's possible The Final Reckoning.
Critics are saying it's the lowest rated of the most
recent but lowest at seventy nine percent, like still great
and come on, Expectations are high. It's the final installment

(01:46:24):
of the Mission Impossible series, so Tom Cruise still doing
it a lot of people pumped about it. You might
want to go to theaters to see it this weekend.
And I'll do a shameless plug to the Dan Patrick
people listening. Over Promised is our bonus podcast. So wherever
you stream your podcast, search over Promised. It's the stuff
that we over promise and never have time for, but

(01:46:46):
we want to get to so we do a show
that you could watch and Over Promised Episode ninety three
premiered yesterday on Fox Sports Radios YouTube page.

Speaker 4 (01:46:57):
This weekend, not.

Speaker 3 (01:46:57):
Only Memorial Day weekend, rich is the anniversary of the
most iconic sports photo of all time.

Speaker 4 (01:47:05):
Of all time? What is it? What is it?

Speaker 3 (01:47:08):
We honor the most iconic sports moment of all time.

Speaker 4 (01:47:13):
Let's just say it involves Muhammad Aldi, all right, and
we go over some of.

Speaker 3 (01:47:16):
The other best and we give you more details on
our big party in Vegas June twentieth through to twenty seconds.
So check out over Promise on Fox Sports Radios YouTube
channel now Netflix. Of course, we talked about it in a
bunch earlier this week. But if you've yet to watch.

Speaker 4 (01:47:29):
Fall of FARV, I'm told, oh boy, do you realize, man?
What a piece of trash? The four seasons.

Speaker 3 (01:47:36):
If you've not yet watched that, Danny g you said,
you and Brenda like binge.

Speaker 4 (01:47:39):
The whole thing.

Speaker 3 (01:47:40):
Yeah, so good Howlrendy Vallion is any good or Isaac
moos has nothing to do with Frankie Valley American Manhunt
in honor of all the you know, the troops that
served our country. This is the story of how we
caught and killed Osama bin Laden American Manhunt.

Speaker 4 (01:47:56):
Netflix. That's trending.

Speaker 3 (01:47:58):
And if you want something really fun and light, I'm
hearing only good things. And I think this weekend might
be when I check out Nona's on Netflix, where Vince
Vaughan hires the first it's not.

Speaker 4 (01:48:10):
The first time Rich has checked out Somenonahs.

Speaker 3 (01:48:12):
It's uh, you know, his attempt to open up a
restaurant with all like Grandma's that cook Yeah. So it
looks like a heartfelt, nice story with Vince Vaughan and
Joe mangelele.

Speaker 4 (01:48:25):
A true story about true story. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:48:27):
And if you want something completely demented and weird where
you're like, what is this guy doing?

Speaker 4 (01:48:33):
If anyone's watched Tom Sigora.

Speaker 3 (01:48:35):
Bad Thoughts, they're like very short, like fifteen to twenty
minute comedy episodes, but they're his comedic dirty weird thoughts.

Speaker 4 (01:48:44):
Is Robert Eiler in this? I heard him talking about it.

Speaker 3 (01:48:47):
I believe he is like one of the know it is. Yeah, no,
he does a boardroom bit. Yes, he's in it. I
heard him talking about it. It is filthy. So if you
need some like raunchy comedy or pal Tom Sigar, you
can check out anything else on the agenda.

Speaker 4 (01:49:01):
Den yes, sir.

Speaker 1 (01:49:02):
The last of US season two finale coming up on Sunday.

Speaker 4 (01:49:05):
Oh wow, the finale.

Speaker 1 (01:49:07):
Man have been waiting for that confrontation between Ellie and Abby.
It's finally gonna happen. And of course NBA Playoffs Saturday evening,
