team player, and we have a lot to get to today.

(02:10):
We have whacked Diesel shack Diesel trivia. Rich wants to
talk about Aaron Rodgers. You gotta talk about catching a
foul ball. Something improbable happened last night in a Mariners game.
We got to talk about it. Plus Caitlyn Clark, Lebron James,
our pets heads are falling off. We have lots to
get to you, man. Now, I mean, let's start with

(02:32):
Kaitlyn Clark. Sure because she makes her debut in the
WNBA tonight. Ain't that right? Iowa, Sam, Mister, Iowa, I
got the shirt on. I know. Now. I want to
start by saying two things could be true. A lot
of times people have a statement, it's like, well what

(02:52):
do you say, Well, sometimes two things could be true.
Give me. I'll give you an example. I want the
Mets to win every but they certainly don't like I
want them to win facts. Do they win? No? I
want Caitlyn Clark. I got one for you. Yeah. Ryan Garcia,

(03:13):
the boxer h is calling out the Mexican monster, David Benavitez.
He's saying, if Canelo won't fight him, I will at
like one seventy eight damn Like yo, that's a little ambitious. Dude.
So I could want Ryan Garcia to win. I could
be rooting for Ryan Garcia. But I could also think
it's a bad idea to jump that high up and

(03:35):
win for your first fight at that weight. And I
say that because the Mets one made more sense. Did
It'm kidding? I really thought they were the same thing.
I really think that it's a bad move. Although I'd
want to see it, I think it's a bad move
for the guy. Both things could be true. I think
Caitlyn Clark making her debut tonight has some excitement behind it,

(03:59):
some weight it downplay it, but so well, today is
a big day in women's sports. Not only did Kim
Kardashian sign on a bunch of WNBA players to her
skims campaign. I think the bigger story is how oh
Flavor Flight Flavor flavors a new spokesperson and hype man
for the women's water polo team. That's not a story.

(04:20):
How's that even a story? Is that real? Did they
need a hype man? Yeah, they were gonna win gold.
Now they got Flavor flav on their side. Maybe we
need a hype man. No, I think the bigger story
is how you're seeing a new identity sort of form
with the women of the WNBA where they're sort of
flaunting their sexuality in a good way, in a positive way.
I don't mean that in like a creepy way. I

(04:41):
mean we're seeing the sexy side of a lot of
these young players. Well we never really saw it before
glowed Down and Antonio Brown. I'm not saying that. I'm
saying it's obvious now you're seeing them in this sexy
sort of light. Well, Angel Reese at the met Gala,
you know she's a good looking woman. You're seeing them
flaunt their good looks. I think I think it's funny
when you see the headshots of a w NBA player,

(05:04):
or a lot of women athletes for that matter, because
there's a there's a decision that needs to be made.
If I would be like, hey, I would saying look
over here, jeez, would you smile? Would you give like
a a mean mug? Would you like not smile?

Speaker 2 (05:19):
Like?

Speaker 1 (05:19):
What would you do? What? What's your instinct?

Speaker 3 (05:22):
I think I'd naturally, uh put a grin on my face.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
I point like shooting McGavin hate some people like you.
Cavino might put up his little Vato Sokos thing and
put back like he's a hard VOTEO gather, I throw
up gang signs usually. But where are you getting at?
I'm getting at If you look at all the headshots
of the different women in the w NBA, it's like,
do I smile? Do I try to look sexy? Or

(05:46):
do I put on an athletic like fierce, like like
a like a mean face. Because when you work athletes,
when you look at all their I guess you would
say there if headshots, to lack of a better term,
like their profile pictures on the teams. A few are
showing teeth like smiling like hey, some are trying to
look a little flirty, and some are like and I

(06:10):
think guys just don't think about that stuff as much.
It's like a team picture. If you ever played organized
sports at all, the kids smile on like a Wiener
ruined the picture. You gotta look hard like it's my team,
We're ready to win. We're taking this picture because we're
here to win, not look like a bunch of cheese weenies.
Aren't you usually happy when you win? Nah, You're there
to win. Put your game face on. If you're taking

(06:32):
a team picture anything sports related, game face I want
to see your cheesy smile.

Speaker 4 (06:37):
I'm with you, my little nephew. They're doing a coach
pitch in his league right now and they all have
their own baseball car.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
Are you you look determined yet? No?

Speaker 4 (06:45):
He has a fake smile that This past weekend I
gave him a little lecture. I said, dude, you've got
to have a game face. See your game face. You
see the face to intimidate the other team.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
And there's nothing sexist about this, because people try to
picking apart everything people say. It's just interesting that when
you're seeing a lot of the promos for the WNBA,
the new season, probably the most anticipated WNBA season, you're
seeing a mix of like, am I supposed to smile?
Look cute? Or look like? Can you do all three

(07:17):
at once? That's the question. Well, look at Kim's Look
at Kim Skim's campaign. Skylar Diggins, Canvas Parker, and Kelsey
Plumb are all making the three different faces I speak of.
It's like, what am I trying to? What am I
trying to put out? Speak? So my point I wanted
to get to was not that, but that tonight is

(07:38):
a big nine for women's sports. Caitlin Clark makes her debut,
and Cavino said to me, Yo, dude, you watch him tonight. Well,
what I said was, usually when I wake up, I
think about the day ahead of me and what do
I have to look forward to. And one of the
first things I thought of when I was doing the
ball scroll this morning, starting off the day like I

(08:00):
I always do, just scrolling through social media, It's like, ooh,
that's right. Tonight is Caitlyn Clark's WNBA debut, and I'm
pumped for it. I'm not a big women's college basketball fan.
I'm not a big WNBA fan, but I am very
excited to see how her talents translate. And I think
it's gonna be the big story of the night. By far.
You got Pacers, Nicks, they're tied at two, Timberwolves, Nuggets

(08:23):
all tied at two. You got great NBA. But the
story tonight and tomorrow when we wake up, will be
Caitlyn Clark's debut. And as a guy who likes to
be involved in what's happening live and what's happening now,
and I don't want FOMO and missing out on anything
that's happening current in sports, I am tuning into that.
I want to see It doesn't mean you can't have
your eye on the NBA as well, but I want

(08:45):
to see how this pans out and what the story's
gonna be. Did she stink it up? Did she light
it up? That's the story. I'm gonna be tuning in.
I as well enjoy it because you're not gonna hear
about it ever. Again, that's what Rich is saying. After
the debut. Rich is saying, the buzz is over after
the debut. Okay, Nah, I don't know, man, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (09:04):
What if she balls out, you're gonna you're gonna hear
and see highlights.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
If she balls out, that is the biggest story of
the night. It's her. It's not good that she's gonna
come into the w NBA and fizzle. If that's the story,
then that. If that's the story, Danny g and she
stinks it up, still a big story. Her talent's not
gonna fizzle, her attention is gonna fizzle. I don't know,
she's got star powering out. Like every time an NFL

(09:28):
draft happens, everyone's really excited week one or two, Like, yo,
what what's Bryce Young gonna look like?

Speaker 5 (09:34):
Yo?

Speaker 1 (09:35):
Anthony Richardson like this year, all eyes on Caleb Williams
Week one, all eyes on us, Like what's he gonna do?
And then eventually, unless the team's any good, you're gonna
look at it and say, oh, Bears game on primetime, Well,
Kaitleb Williams. But if they're if they're like two and four,
you think all these people who went crazy over Caitlyn

(09:57):
Clark the past two years, Iowa sam rockin' her PJS.
He's from Iowa. Yeah, but still she had casual fans,
non fans tuning in. You think all of a sudden
they just don't care because she had one bad game. No,
not one bad game. My thought is hype. Like the

(10:18):
Jersey Shore, there was a time where they were the
hottest person. You can't compare it to Snooky, dude, think
you no, She's a generational talent, you moron. So with
Snooky get out of my face. Two about Snooky in
the Jersey Shore, Dude, I'm not even a big like
I said, WNBA fan, and I'm excited. That's why I'm
very compident what I'm saying. I think a lot of

(10:38):
people are excited about it and will continue to be
excited about me. If especially she lights it up, if
she stinks it up, it's still a big story. You're
allowed to be rooting for something, just not expecting the outcome.
That would be nice. Like I'm rooting for the WNBA.
I'm root for women's sports. I hope they make that money.
I hope people watch. I'm just saying that tonight, all
eyes on Kitlyn Clark. I wonder if what is it

(11:02):
May fourteenth? On June fourteenth, are you gonna watch an
Indiana Fever game on a Tuesday night. My question is
my thought is no, but you may say yes. And
if that's the case, then then good for the w one.
It's gonna make people watch. It's gonna be her. So
that's also what makes it an interesting sort of story

(11:22):
to see, to watch, to see how it pans out,
and it starts tonight. Now, you said two things could
be true, So what are the two true things that
that I'm rooting for women's sports to succeed? Okay, but
that doesn't mean I think that I think that that that.
I think the WNBA is gonna make this massive leap.
I think they're gonna have better ratings than ever before.
I think they're moving in the right direction. But if

(11:43):
you think all of a sudden, the casual sports fan
is gonna be like, two, did you watch the Fever
game last night? I just don't see it happening. And
and you know what it's. It's not a prisoner of
the moment thing. It's it's a matter of NCAA women's
basketball is exciting, right because there are matchups. It's one
in the on lsu Iowa, then South Carolina, there was
a Yukon. There were so many great matchups and games.

(12:05):
I think in Indiana Fever Tuesday night game only works
because it's her debut. Otherwise, who's watch?

Speaker 2 (12:12):
I think attention will kick up again. It like the finals,
the championships. Yeah, if the team makes it, if they're involved,
so you'll get that attention more so than you normally would.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
Is there pause? Are you tuning in? Will it fade?
Is what Rich is asking, because let me tell you
he was very whole hum about it when I brought
it up earlier. Well, I'm still who hum. I'd like
to me like, you're asking me what I care about
tonight Knicks Pacers, and you're yeah, that's that's still a
solid d it'll be fun to watch. But you could,
like you said, two things could be true. You could
be excited about nick Pacers and still be fired up

(12:43):
about the result of her debut. Of course, I'm just
saying not now. I'm saying months from now. I hope
that the people that are all like yeah, Camplin Clark,
I hope they keep up their enthusiasm because it's good
for women's sports. It's good for the game. But I
just wonder, and I'll go back to my snke analogy,
because I think there's something there. You could say, Jeremy Lynn,

(13:03):
if you want to make it sports, there's people that
for a moment, they have the hottest interview to get
Like in how Nicki Glazer right now is the hottest
interview because she was killing at the Brady Roast. In
a month from now, yeah, you could get Nicki Glazer
on the show. She's a palavars. A great example would
be the girl that caught Otani's home run. Dany g

(13:28):
got her on that day. Two days later, her neighbor
doesn't even want to talk to her. Do you know
what I'm saying? Like it's it's it's all like what's
in the moment right, Like, give me a story that
was popular months ago, and if you could even think
of one, that person is pretty easy to get. Now, well,
the news cycle moves so fast, faster than ever the

(13:49):
next thing. I get what you're saying, We're on to
the next, like jay Z on to the next, on
on to the next. We're on to the next story,
especially in the world of sports. But I don't see
her star fading at all. And what makes it even
more intriguing and enticing and exciting to watch is how
so many old heads in the w n b A
were downplaying her abilities and saying they wouldn't translate in

(14:11):
the w n b A, which gets me a guy
that doesn't care all that much excited to see if
it does. And that's why I'm taking a stronger stance
on it, because when I tell you, I thought I
cared the least, I'm excited to watch. So I find
your stance on it like interesting because I think she
has the star power to get everybody talking. It's gonna

(14:32):
be the biggest story of the night, and you're downplaying it.

Speaker 6 (14:35):
I may be biased as a Cavino guy here, but
I do side with Steve in this there's.

Speaker 1 (14:41):
I hope you're I hope you're right again, I said.

Speaker 6 (14:43):
And the reason that I that I say that, And
I'm just gonna use Zion Williamson as an example because
I would say that Zion Williamson's career so far professionally
has been somewhat underwhelming, oh right.

Speaker 1 (14:54):
Without a doubt. Well, he was ripping shoes in the
in college and he was the next guy. Like the
Zion has been a disappointment.

Speaker 6 (15:02):
And the Pelicans have really not, you know, gravitated towards
the top of the West. He's been in and out
and then when he was doing well. But when he
was doing well, we're still like Zion in those little moments,
like even though it hasn't been a lot of momentum.
I think it's gonna be the same with Caitlyn Clark,
whether it be tonight, whether it be this season or

(15:22):
in the next season. If she doesn't have a good
start and she gets acclimated, it takes her a year
or two. I think that star will be back up
to the to the megastar status.

Speaker 3 (15:30):
Iowa, Sam, and I think all of this is kind
of unfair to her. I mean, this is her first
game are you gonna cry? No, I think you are
you shitting a tear right now? I'm okay, I'm dry.
I'm just saying I'm just trying to put emphasis on this,
that this is her first game as a rookie, and
we're like, oh, we're gonna turn in. What's gonna happen?

(15:51):
What's gonna happen? She might stink for a few months
and then maybe she starts getting a going. But this
is immense amount of pressure on her.

Speaker 1 (15:59):
But you know what, Sam, she needs. That's I'm okay
with that. You know why is the greats people that
break through? Right? What makes someone the right guy? What?
Why do people always say that Jackie Robinson? What made
him so special that not only was he was the
first African American baseball player, but he was the guy
that was up for the job. Like he he dealt
with racist a holes, He he succeeded on the field,

(16:22):
like he did everything right. If it was someone else,
it may not have worked out as well. If Kaitlyn
Clark wants to be the woman that takes sports in
the woman's world to the next level, she has to
take on those pressures. Think about like, how come we
don't talk about the first gay player in this sport
of that's work. It says, no real there was no
star breakout player, like it wasn't there like a random

(16:42):
like the Raider a Karl Nassai, right, Like who's a
good player? But like for that that Sam Yeah yeah, Raam,
I not I was Sam Michael Sam, Samm Sam and
Sam the rim. It just uh, it needs to be
the right person. So if Katelyn Clark's the right person,
then she could take on that pressure. Yeah, and I'm
rootin to see what happens. That's all tight. That's exciting.

Speaker 2 (17:04):
It is exciting, But I do think a lot of
people are like posturing or like pretending like they care.
They're they're riding the wave of excitement and like the
news cycle, but it's they're gonna lose interest. Spot, It's
about the conversion ratep same people are excited now that
are really like talking about it, really into it. If they're,
like you said, excited in a month, then the conversion

(17:24):
rate will be high, and I think most people will
not care.

Speaker 1 (17:27):
Oddly enough, Spot and I agree, we never agree on
and we never got it. Just and again, like I said,
two things are allowed to happen. When the forty nine
Ers Chiefs went into overtime, my gut told me, oh,
my team's gonna lose. But I really wanted the Niners
to win. But deep down inside, I'm like, yeah, I
can want that all day my homes and overtime we're toast.

(17:49):
I want this to go well for women's sports and
the WNBA. I just feel like tonight will be like,
oh cool, all eyes on Caitlin Clark. I just wonder,
in a summer Tuesday night, June July, when you got
other things going on, are you're really gonna be caring?
And my my instinct is I don't think people will care. Well,
it's funny you snooky as an example, because she came

(18:13):
out fifteen years ago and they're still doing it. Yeah,
but do you care as much? No, But they're still
doing it, dude, And they're still doing it and they're
still very too popular. You loved Jersey Shore. You should
have been in Jersey sho. I still watch a little
of the highlights on social media, But do you watch
Jersey Shore Family Vacation everywhere? Watching TV? Exactly? But the
point is, but the point is, at one point we

(18:33):
had snooky in the situation on our show, Danny g
And it was like it was like the get like
the fact that we had them all was like, yo,
we got them on. This is when every single person
was pumping their fists. And you know what, I like
your stance because now more than ever, I'm rooting for
Caitlyn Clark to light it up. You got have to
stick it in your pompaus face. Good. Everybody tune it
in and be like yo, man, it's like insanity. She's

(18:56):
lighting it up just so you can come here with
the expression egg on your face. A couple years later,
a couple of years later, Jeremy Lynn got a goofy
haircut playing the best sit in the bench and try.
You want to ring you nerd without playing you nerd matter,
you don't have one. So I'm very pumped to see it.
And I'm not a big Caitlyn Clark guy. Iowa, Sam,
I do agree with what you said. Don't think anyone
could deny She's got a lot of pressure on her.

(19:18):
Is it fair? No, But she's got to step up
to that, and that's what also makes it intriguing. Can
she be that person? Can she carry that weight on
her back. Can she still perform with these pressures? I
think she can. She had an amense Mountain College. The
w n B A is not greater than what she
was doing there. The storylines in college were better though, Yes,

(19:39):
LS you again, jel Reese, South Carolina undefeated, Becker's the
and all the successful talented girls at Yukon there were.
It was like it was bigger than the men's tournament.
That was amazing. So I got the question, is big
one of the player on the fever? You couldn't. I couldn't.
Don't lie to yourself. I got the fever for the
flavor bro I got the fever Indiana fever. Rich wants

(20:02):
to know if you think the buzz will fade clearly
he thinks it will, or will it translate which will
be a bigger star in the w NBA. Let's hear
your feedback. Let's chop it up. I want to hear
every seven, seven ninety nine on Fox at Covino and Rich.
I don't want to be I don't want to be
the jerk, but spot set it's all. I'll back up
what he said. There's there is a layer of people

(20:27):
on social media and people in public saying what they
think is the nice thing to say. Right I'm not
being righteous at all. I promise you everything I'm saying
right now is real good for you. I'm serious. I
think there's so much interest there and I don't give
a diddley squat about the WNBA. You do you watching tonight? Yeah?
I say that respectfully, and I'm being real about it.

(20:47):
I want to see how his pans out.

Speaker 2 (20:49):
But you're interested in the current storyline, and that curR
current storyline will be over in a week.

Speaker 1 (20:54):
All right, Well, you know what, I hope she comes
here and tells you to beat it. I hope she
blocks you on social media to where she blocked ab.
So hey, there's another story about basketball and vials Lebron
and Bronni. I want to talk about that costs, foul
balls and shack diesel trivia. But your feedback, I want
to hear more of your feedback. Keep your balls to yourself. Well,

(21:14):
we'll get your feedback, Caitlin Clark, Is this done in
a month? Is this the start of the WNBA making
a ton of money? And listen, they fly, they fly
on their own planes. Now like there's been great changes,
So we shall see only time will tell tell us
swift does our own plane? Get off my plane? So
we'll take your feedback next at eight seven, seven, nine

(21:36):
to nine on Fox. Either way, we'd love to hear
from you now. Job searching can be a lonely process,

I'm glad he's playing onto the next Figuse. I feel
like that is the mindset of every goldfish pea brain
out there, including with me. You are a pea brain.
You have the attention span of a two year old.

(23:49):
All right, Einstein, because Steve, give me no Einstein That's
why I'm allowed to say it, because I know my
attention span is short, and I could see how terrible
yours is. Dude, less than a month ago, we're talking
about show hey Otani and his interpreter and who's going
to jail and money and suspensions and what's gonna happen.

(24:09):
I haven't heard someone mention that in weeks. Yeah, because
his gameplay has taken over the conversation. Whatever. The hottest
story in sports is the Tom Brady roast. We're almost
done talking about that. He came out today. Danny g
just hit me up saying that his kids were a
little affected by it. But that's old news. We have
such a onto the next The news cycles quick, and

(24:30):
I think Caitlin Clark is a generational talent. I'm rooting
for women's sports. Generation nance. Don't fade away like that.
I'm not just saying it to say it. I genuinely
do feel like women's sports. I'm rooting for them. I'm
rooting for the WNBA to get to that next level.
You're you're speaking out both sides of your mouth. Tranational talents,
don't fade away. You're saying she had a sanity moment

(24:52):
linn sanity lasted two weeks. I'm just what you're saying.
I'm saying that NCUBLEA women's basketball this year was lightning
in a bottle. You had everything you had, Yukon South
Carolina undefeated, lsu Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark in Iowa.
It was perfect, like Kurt Hennick back in the day.

(25:14):
Absolutely perfect. Now we're on the Indiana fever. Do I care,
if you want my honest opinion, not even a little.
I'm not expecting you to care about the Indiana Fever.
I expect you to care about seeing if and how
this story pans out. You can't say it's gonna pan
out without watching it develop. You're just making a weird assumption.

(25:38):
Not excited to Brittany Grinder was in a Russian prison
for a year, and we already were like, oh, she's
back in the league. A yeah, good, good for her.

Speaker 3 (25:44):
Well, dude, well, no one even talked about the interview
she did on for like, you know, the network news.

Speaker 1 (25:50):
I'm saying, everyone has good intentions, right, what's that Toad
the wets Rocket song? Good play that next time, Sam,
Good intentions? Toad the Wetsprocket everyone's got good intentions and
a good heart, Like, hey, I would love it for
women's sports to really take it to the next level.
I just wonder if after tonight will you be tuning
on on the right the regular, Being that it starts

(26:15):
with tonight, How in the world can you be whole
hume about the start of this storyline. That's what's odd
to me, I said, I'm tuning in. Rich is like, yeah,
probably not. Now there's a new episode of Dark Matter
on Apple TV at midnight, and you tell me series
because no one's gonna be talking about that stupid show
that's canceled next season. Live from ti rack dot com studio.

(26:39):
Remember this after our show, our podcast goes up. You
miss any of today's show, be sure to check out
our podcast search Covino and Rich wherever you get your podcast.
Be sure to follow, rate and review Covino and Rich
a CoV I know, and we have a bonus podcast

the link around, watch what you hear, enjoy it and

(26:59):
we really appreciate it. When you leave a review, you
qualify for some giveaways, and we're giving some stuff away
later today with Shack Diesel Trivia. But let's go to
the phones real quick. Say what's up?

Speaker 5 (27:07):
All right?

Speaker 1 (27:08):
Eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox? Does this fizzle?
Is it here? To stay your thoughts on Kaitlyn Clark's
w NBA debut tonight tonight? Strauss in New York State?
What's up? Strass? Hey? What's up?

Speaker 2 (27:25):
Hey?

Speaker 1 (27:25):
It's right to Debbie Downer. Oh I'm not to I said,
I'm rooting for it. I'm not the Debbie down In fact,
I'm not for it. But he's not even watching the
first game that he has all this like, Strauss has
no interest on the game, but he can tell you
how it's all gonna go. No one's in the care
week from now, Straus. I don't want to be Debbie Downer.

(27:46):
That's why I was hesitant to even say this. I'm
just trying to be honest. How you feel, bod Alright?
We we out here in La heard that Lionel Messi
was coming to LAFC with what was it, Miami Sam
she in Miami's how Machine Gloria step I thought so
he was like, oh yeah he hit that. Oh the

(28:10):
crowd got turned when he hit that. So when Messi
came out here, Yo, Danny g we were at that game.
Caveno was like, yeah, this is sick. Have you watched
a game since Dolly black and Black and Gold? Remember
Spot used to golden urinal? Yeah? Spot took a picture

(28:30):
with David Beckham in the VIP. I gotta ask both
of you be honest and wait a second for me
to finish the question. We're talking about it his career.
What didn't even let me finish the damn question? You blabermouth?
I sent to you eight hundred words per second, this guy,
and he's complaining I know the question. You don't need
to be an I'm fine to know your question. Have

(28:53):
I tuned and you did ask it? Bozo? You talk
so much you don't even know you said it. Have
I tuned in since you said that? Have you diarrhea mouth?
Rich Davis? Have you I have? Do I care? No?
But I didn't care leading up to it. And he's
on the down side of his career hounside. I was
at the game. Yes, he's not at the pinnacle of

(29:14):
his career. That's why he's in the mlsu Boso. This guy,
I mean, Caitlyn Clark is about to make her debut.
We don't know how that's gonna pan out. You know,
story starts tonight as a professional. That's why it's intriguing.
You know as much about soccer as Ted lessel I
soccer my boy anchor every night, Jay in Minnesota, what's up, Jack?

(29:36):
Hey guys, thanks for taking the call. Hold on, Jay,
do you need you need a lozenge? He needs a pine? Brother?
What's up? Man? Sounds like a w NBA coach I
got for you somewhere. Stop yelling at the players.

Speaker 5 (29:50):
But there's the deal.

Speaker 1 (29:51):
We cannot expect Clark to go out and perform like.

Speaker 5 (29:54):
You did sior year of college. The competition is bigger, faster, stronger,
better rebounders, better shooters.

Speaker 7 (30:01):
However, I do think she will evolve, just like a
new freshman coming.

Speaker 5 (30:06):
Into a program. She will adapt, She'll get stronger, and
I think a year or two down the road, she
is going to be the face of the.

Speaker 1 (30:13):
W n B A And you know what, and I
wish that for Hertive, you don't wish that, because if
you wish that, you'd be excited to tune in to
see how it starts.

Speaker 2 (30:24):
This may be a horrible analogy because I'm really bad
at analogies, but somewhat of a parable parallel example, Jason Kelsey, right, Yeah,
just signed on to be a part of the Monday
Night football team as an analyst. Yeah, Monday Night helto right,
riding high on his popularity.

Speaker 1 (30:40):
Great, this is actually pretty good now, thank you?

Speaker 2 (30:42):
Riding high. Let's se where it goes. Riding high on
his popularity. He just retired, got the obviously, the podcast attention,
the Taylor Swift attention, ripping off his shirt at the game,
and now he came in and replaced r G three.
We're gonna all be excited for him. But he might
come in, he might suck, he might not be great
as an analyst. His the interest made for me.

Speaker 1 (31:04):
He might be great as an analyst. But I think
to wrap up your point perfectly would be the way
if Travis Kelcey is no longer dating Taylor Swift and Kelsey,
Travis isn't in the spotlight as much like, oh they
got Jason Kelcey. Huh, yeah, like I don't like. But
it all starts with a few years. It'll be just
like RG three and they'll get rid of him. You'll
be tuned in for the debut just like you'll be

(31:25):
tuned in for Tom Brady's debut exactly, Cowboys Browns, He'll
be tuned in for the debut. So to downplay the
debut of Caitlyn Clark is asen nine. It's just dumb,
all right.

Speaker 3 (31:36):
Rich is arguing the law of diminishing returns, right, Yes, diminished?

Speaker 1 (31:41):
So is that what it means you get something?

Speaker 3 (31:43):
I think generally he gets you just take something, and
it's just the effectiveness, the efficacy of it, the attention
brought to it just wears off over time. But like
if the Olympic team hasn't been announced yet, right Dan,
I don't think so. So that'll that could boost her
name and in on social media and into on TV again.

Speaker 1 (32:03):
Uh So, I'll give you a great example. The first
game when played in the NBA, we were in Las Vegas.
We were all glued to the TV. We saw him
walking through the casino. We were freaking out. Danny g
was right there with him. Mid season, Well, you locked
into a Spurs game that was on tn T or

(32:24):
something just because Wemby was You saw highlights. But I'm
telling you it's like I said, Spurs stunk and the
Spurs stunk and the Indiana Feed he won Rookie of
the Year and the Indiana Fever. I'll tell you the
difference aren't gonna win the NBA is he could change
the franchise. And that's great and all. We've seen that
before with superstars in the NBA. We have yet to
see someone in the w n B A be that person.

(32:47):
That's the difference. We're talking about changing the league, let
alone the franchise. I'm saying Brittany Grinder was in a prison.
Half the people hated her, half to people loved her
for everything, and they have to like, like diy was,
Sam said, do people even want interview? I mean people
people do move on quick. I mean that I won't deny.
But superstars, if they're real and legit superstars, I mean,

(33:09):
do we ever stop talking about Lebron. We're talking about
his son, We're talking about him at the Cavaliers game.
We never stopped talking about Lebrons. So if she is
that type of player, we're not gonna stop talking about her.
And guess what, it all starts tonight to night. Shit

(33:30):
itppens all too nice exactly, Damn Bayer, what's up my friend?

Speaker 6 (33:36):
You guys mentioned the NFL in Tom Brady. Yes, we
know another game that Tom Brady may be broadcasting. Mark
it down, Rich Davis. Week seven, October twenty fifth, Jordan
Schultz's reporting it will be a rematch of Super.

Speaker 1 (33:49):
Bowl fifty eight.

Speaker 6 (33:50):
Does the Chiefs and Niners will be playing in the
Bay Area, kickoff four twenty five Eastern time. That will
obviously be the America's Game of the Week on Fox.
But Week seven Chief set Niners. According to Jordan Schultz,
I love.

Speaker 1 (34:05):
How the NFL the schedule clubs at tomorrow. But they're
doing their cute little strategic leaks. It's like, it's very
funny to me. There's a little piece of candy. Here's
another one. Here's Aaron Rodgers first game, Yes, tell everyone,
and that will be at San Francisco facing the Niners
on Monday Night Football in week one.

Speaker 6 (34:22):
The week two Thursday Night game launching the Amazon portion
of the season will feature the Bills at the Dolphins.
Speaking of the Chiefs, they're going to be hosting the
Bengals in Week two. That'll likely be CBS's big splash
in as they'll be kicking off at four to twenty
five Eastern time.

Speaker 1 (34:39):
More news from the NFL. Falcons.

Speaker 6 (34:41):
Quarterback Kirk Cousins spoke with the Busting with the Boys
podcast and was asked about the drafting of Michael Pennix
Junior and his feelings towards Penix, the Falcons and the
whole deal.

Speaker 1 (34:52):
Kirk Cousins the Falcons, there's no beef involved, No, and
I don't think there can be. I don't think it's helpful.
Like we're trying to win a super Bowl. It's hard enough.
Let's all be on the same page and let's try
to go into Super Bowl Tonight.

Speaker 6 (35:03):
Pacers and Knicks eight Eastern, Timberwolves and Nuggets ten thirty Eastern,
both game fives. Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert finds seventy five
grand for making a money signed gesture towards the officials.
And Sunday's Game four loss, Philly's blank the Mets, Sorry
rich for nothing. Philadelphia has won fifteen of their last eighteen.
Aaron Nola three hit shutout and the Big News today

(35:24):
here at Fox Sports Radio and in college basketball. Doug Gottlieb,
host here at the Network, is the new men's basketball
coach of the Green Bay Field.

Speaker 1 (35:31):
Yeah, what you got Doug Dan, you forgot to also
mention at seven pm Eastern the Indiana Fever kickoff tonight
with Caitlin Clark. I figured you guys had it covered off. Now, yeah,
tip off, not a kickoff. You're right to tip off.
My mom. It drops at seven thirty, puck drops. It's
a big story now, I know, I know it is,
and we'll see what happens. Thank you Dan. Byern GB

(35:55):
Now we got more Cavino and Rich. I do want
to mention this Lebron's and of course we got to
talk about Aaron Rodgers, Josh Rojas and Aaron Rodgers and
lots going on in the world of sports and nonsense.
We're the worldwide leaders, Covino and Rich. We got more
Fox Sports Radio next. But for centuries, the bond between
horse and human has been forged. Thank you for trust

(36:19):
and hands on care. Well. Now the sport of thoroughbred
racing is combining those traditions with cutting edge technology and
meaningful reforms, raising his safety standards to the highest level.
New investment in wearable biometric devices that measure subtle changes
in a horse's stride and the use of advanced imaging
technologies help flag potential problems for early intervention by expert veterinarians,

(36:39):
reducing injury risk. Scientific experts test, measure and analyze racing
surfaces to ensure consistency and the sports new independent regulator,
the Horse Racing Integrity and Safety Authority, is implementing comprehensive
reforms including state of the art testing, monitoring, and strict enforcement,
along with new safety standards, enhance veterinary pros and other

(37:00):
measures to ensure the safe environment possible for racing. Meaningful reforms,
the latest technology, higher standards. Every day, the sports equine
athletes are surrounded by an ecosystem of care and a
commitment to do more to protect both horse and rider
so that win or lose. It's safety that runs first.
To learn more of is a safety runs first? Dot com?

(37:21):
That Safety runs First? Dot Com? Tode the West, Rocket
Covino and Rich. I'm Steve Cavino and that's Rich Rich
Davis who said he's watching Unfrosted before he watches Caitlin

(37:42):
Clark's debut tonight. Isn't that what he's watching right now?
I think he's watching Unfrosted as we speak. Hey, we're
on the air, you idiot, Covino and Rich on Fox
Sports Radio. I mean by idiot, I mean hey, buddy,
Live from the Tirack dot Com studios, Steve Cavino, Rich Davis,
Danny g Iowa, Sam Spotty Boy, Dan Byer. Happy to

(38:04):
be part of the premier sports lineup in the nation
Fox Sports Radio. Thank you for playing good intentions. I
was gonna say, you're not around to hear it. Did
it really happen? Hey? Did you know fun fact about
Toad the wet Brocket West Brocket, a little person plays
the drums. Absolutely, look at their videos. He's a little person.
I bet you didn't know that. Yeah, yeah, you tell

(38:25):
any difference, But back then you could say the other
word for it, right, I don't know what you're talking about,
So question. Yeah, And def Leppard had a one arm drummer.
Did you know that? I didn't know that. I was
spinal tap. He didn't always have kidding? Did at Motley
Crew have a drummer with a really big h heart? Drumstick, drumstick,
drum stick, drum a boat with it? Good intentions? We

(38:52):
brought it up earlier because of Caitlyn Clark, and I
was just talking to Patrick and Bursh about this, and
I'm like, they are bad today, but his intent is
is great. I said to these guys, I said, listen,
I want you to be honest with me, because I
feel like during the n C Double A Tournaments, we
were all very genuine. I felt a pure sense of

(39:13):
real when we were all intrigued by lsu versus Iowa
and then oh, what's you know? Look at Becker's and
Yukon and South Carolina is undefeated. I feel like there
was a no faking genuine I mean like genuine interest.
But everyone becomes a men's college basketball fan during that,
during March Madness, and this was an exception. I think,
so I think what happens. I think once I said

(39:36):
to Bursh and some of the guys in the editing room, Patrick,
I said, you said to them, but probably didn't give
them a chance to speak. They probably just yes, dude, yeah,
uh huh. But go ahead. It's a little rude. Why's
that rude? Little rude? I know Rich You guys got

(39:57):
to get your head out your asses. I know this
guy for twenty some than years. Here's how he positions it.
You guys mean to tell me you're gonna be tuning
in tonight. Let's be real. What is BUR's gonna say
in that moment? Well, honestly, Rich, yeah, I think I am.
He's just gonna say, yeah, I don't know. To just
move on with the story. He doesn't give him a
chance to answer fairly. He positions it in such a way.

(40:18):
He leads that way. You think, I'm I know this guy.
I know him. I know how he positions questions when
he leads, Rich bleeds Yes again, how did you position
a question? I guarantee you positioned it that way. I
guarantee you said. Be honest, God, are you Rich?

Speaker 5 (40:39):
Or?

Speaker 1 (40:39):
Who are really Yankees playing today? Because I hope whoever
they're playing has the best day. Everyone's like, is that
a tear in your eye? Rich? Are you okay? Yankees
are off today? No, they were off yesterday. Anyway, Here's
what I said. If the Indiana fever are four and
ten in a month from now, and the fever a

(41:01):
plant on a Tuesday or Wednesday night, I feel like
it goes from general enthusiasm when it was Iowa lsu
yukon two. Now we're just pretending we're saying the right thing,
Like I'm gonna support it and watch and you're not
going to might be right, and it might be right.
You may be right, I may be crazy. But it
all starts tonight, yes, So for you to be whole

(41:24):
hume before it even starts doesn't make sense. I'm at
least excited about the debut weeks from now. If you're right,
I'll be the first guy to say, dude, you were right.
Nobody cares. I don't want. The thing is I don't
want to be right. For tonight to be that way
is odd. Okay. I'm not trying to I'm not trying
to ruin the party. I'm not trying to have so

(41:45):
so for you to say that that's going to be
the case in the future, yeah, that might be the case.
I'm not trying to rain on the prede. My thought
was simple that in a month from now, when she listen,
why do you think they had the number one drift
pick because they.

Speaker 3 (41:57):
Weren't a good team, right, I mean they're eight and
a half point bugs tonight in Connecticut.

Speaker 1 (42:01):
Yeah, so there are a little double digit dogark lights
it up. But what if she does in Covino and
she puts up fifteen points, doesn't it's still the biggest
story of the night. I read what I'm saying. What's
a successful night for her tonight? Fifteen fifteen? What five rebounds?
Fifteen five five? Rich, you gambled.

Speaker 4 (42:17):
There's a lot of money that Vegas has taken in
for her to be the league game.

Speaker 1 (42:22):
I'm gonna bet one hundred bucks on Connecticut tonight. No, no, no,
not tonight's game. Her being the league MVP. That means
at least those betters are going to pay attention to
that she has twenty points tonight. Has a rookie ever
been the MVP? Think about that? I don't know. I
think Candice Parker was in two thousand and eight. I
could be wrong.

Speaker 3 (42:36):
I have to check on that, but I think that's
the truth because I was looking into it recently.

Speaker 1 (42:39):
So anyway, my thought is, go Caitlin Clark. I'm just
surprised if anyone cares in a month, that's all the end.
