(02:19):
face is comfortable to me.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
He's thinking that about us. He's like, I've been here
for years. I do I know, but I was saying
comfortable before this show. You said punchable both both Well,
it's my save by the Bell shirt. That's why you
want to punch me.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
That is a straight up screech shirt from nineteen eighty nine.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
It's the Max. I love it. I have Hamberger joined

Speaker 1 (02:38):
Now we got midweek major today the biggest stories and
headlines in the world of sports and pop culture.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
We go over them. Are they mid? Are they weak?
Are they major? I was gonna say not enough waiters
do magic like the Max. I forgot he did that.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
I wasn't as big on that show, Mama Preppy as
you were.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
You know. I watched it, but it was more of
my little sister's show. I was hitting home runs. I
was in my room listening to Zach Attack on cassettes.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
Yeah rich friends for it was rocking out to the
Zach Attack. Yeah yeah, I was already outside playing and stuff. Anyway,
we got to talk about, well, Tyrese Maxey, what a shot.
I hope you had a Tyrese Maxey sort of night,
seventy six ers, Calves Bucks sort of night.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
Are you gonna give him the finger?

Speaker 1 (03:24):
What?

Speaker 2 (03:24):
I'm gonna give him the finger?

Speaker 1 (03:25):
Like Tracy Morgan, I'm gonna get someone pregnant? Did you
see Tracy Morgan giving him flipping him the bird. Anyway,
what a shot, what a game. Some great games last night,
Good games tonight. But we also have to talk Anthony Edwards.
Danny g you got scoop on him? Is he Jordan's son?

(03:46):
I heard he's Michael Jordan's son.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
Sure looks that way.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
Yeah, people are saying that it could be. Honestly, it's
just a fun rumor that people are running with because
of the way he's playing and how he looks and
seems sort of head and the ears are similar. And
Jordan has said, like back in the day, he was
running wild around two thousand and one when Edwards was born.
I mean, I'm just saying I and he's possible. I

(04:09):
doubt it. I mean, you might have some kids running.
You did some damage in nearly two thousands too. NBA
players never step out on their girlfriends or wives.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
You know that. Oh yeah, good point. Loyal might be
the father.

Speaker 5 (04:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (04:22):
Mj himself has admitted that Anthony Edwards looks the most
similar to him in his playing days.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
Yeah, you are the five. That is a compliment.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
So Anthony Edwards says something about one of the other
goats Lebron James.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
We'll get to that.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
And according to the Internet, yeah, TikTok in fact, which
means it has to be true.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
I'll count two hundred days left.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
Then I'll just say rumors allegedly, supposedly as people saying
correctly and correctly, Jordan was at three to five women
per day around the two thousand and one season, three
to five a day. It was during his later years.
Women were coming out left and right. He may have
kids out there.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
Was he the original spokesman for Chalk Maybe one of
them in the NBA. Guy's chucked up seriously again, rumors allegedly,
who knows.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
It's just a fun story, But Anthony Edwards is in
the news and it actually involves Lebron. He's not coming
to Jordan's defense. He's coming to Lebron's defense. And we'll explain.
And by the way, if you're wondering why we're playing
the whole be clip, we'll get to that in midweek
major with spot. But last night, pretty fun that a
beekeeper came to rescue the Dodgers Diamondbacks game and throughout

(05:32):
the first pitch.

Speaker 6 (05:32):
Yeah, he was at his son's little league game when
they called him he had to sit through traffic to
get to the stadium.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
That's awesome. Hey, I gotta get there. Hey you gotta
sit in traffic like everyone else, buddy. Yeah, but uh,
I'm the beekeeper. I'm here to save the day.

Speaker 1 (05:48):
So well, honestly, who's more important than that guy in
that moment? Right, Yeah, there's like forty people there, they're
all waiting.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
He's like, no, no, no, I'm the guy. I'm the guy.

Speaker 6 (06:00):
My wife he heard this on the Dodger broadcast and
she said, is he the only bee keeper in the
entire city?

Speaker 2 (06:06):
I mean, you ever get down is it a wormboler.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
Rabbit hole on social media? Rabbit rabbit hole once you're
going to space? Yeah, you ever go down a rabbit hole?
Because I know Spot has of that good looking girl
who's a bee keeper and she picks up bees by
the handful.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
It's it'll make you.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
Be like but at the same time fascinating how people
that are in that world. Clearly there's not many. We
had to wait two hours for the Dodgers Tedbacks game.
But bee keepers, no fear, Matt, hold on, hold on
And by the way, speaking of that's from Tommy Boy,
or is it Black Sheep. Tommy Boy is Tommy walter

(06:48):
Hauser different plots. Paul walter Hauser, best known as Sting
Ray from Cobra Kai, is portraying Chris Farley in an
upcoming film with our pal Josh Gaddie. Believe Josh gadd
is directing it or creating this movie. So a lot
of pressure on better get that right. Sting ready to
get it right, But I have a way back Wednesday question.

(07:10):
I got coffee coffee for the first person that knows
it right?

Speaker 2 (07:15):
Okay? Based on the bees, what word did they use
to describe.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
The Jaba Chamberlain story in the playoffs?

Speaker 2 (07:26):
Midges?

Speaker 1 (07:28):
I owe you coffee, bro man, and he wants and
he wants a VENTI I didn't say, but actually.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
It's not politically correct to say that word.

Speaker 7 (07:37):
Any no, no midges the thing of another letter.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
Yeah, yeah, oh, you were right. I would have forgot that.
Did anyone else really know?

Speaker 1 (07:46):
Or no?

Speaker 2 (07:47):
They're like very small gnats.

Speaker 1 (07:49):
You would have said nats, right, I would have said nats,
but it was they always used midges a midge.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
You're so right? You know what? For real loan crime?
I owe you one, so.

Speaker 1 (07:59):
Shout out out we'll give him props and then we'll
tuckle NBA. But Matt Hilton saves the day. Matt and Hilton,
everybody the bee keeper in the Phoenix Scottsdale area that
came to the rescue for the Dodgers d Backs game
and his first pitch was better than your boys the
other day. What Yeah, noa Khan, so hey, that's a

(08:20):
pretty cool day for that guy. Imagine that. You're like,
what was he in his kid's game? He said, dude, yeah,
that's what Danny g says doing this too. Yeah, you can't,
honestly when you that's a great sort of observation. Rich
think about that. This dude just cruising around doing his
dad thing, being a b guy. All of a sudden,
all of a sudden, he's all over Sports Center, Like

(08:42):
you don't wake up thinking this could be the day
I'm throwing out a first pitch and I'm the hero
of the game.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
They said.

Speaker 6 (08:47):
He was hanging around his kids baseball game that cell
phone started to ring. He picks it up. It's the Diamondbacks.
Then like, you gotta get over here. Now, you know
know funny about that. I take my kid to school
like any good parent does right, like any parent has to.
But I had this little lesson without even thinking about
that this morning. Here's two things you gotta do as
a parent.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
You got to.

Speaker 1 (09:08):
Introduce them to cool music on their way to school,
tell them what these songs mean to you, be an influence,
and then teach them a little lesson. And I was like,
you know what, I'm exhausted, Melody w dad, Dad, couldn't
sleep at all. But you know what, you know, it
gets me up. What the thought that anything could happen? Yeah,
not bad things. That's not talking a bad thing. I'm
talking like something cool could happen. An old friend could

(09:29):
reach out, You can get a promotion, something amazing.

Speaker 2 (09:33):
Think about that.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
This dude was the hero of the day, had no
idea that was about to happen.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
Well paid for his coffee, unlike Isaac Castill.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
Yes, what about her? Know what's in story? Yeah, went
about his day excited, hanging with his kids. Probably dropped it.
Oh dropped my kid off at gymnastics, going to the
kids a little league game. You might see a heinee
that changes your life all of a sudden, you just
don't know. All of a sudden, he's saving the day
at Chase Field and throws out the first pitch, and
Matt Hilton is getting props today like.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
No other bee keeper ever.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
You know what, it reminds me of the famous It
always reminds me of one of those like Ends of
the World movies where random guy becomes the hero, Like
no random person gets a phone call like aren't you
the expert in like I don't know the Earth's core?
Why I am come come to the White House immediately,
And then all of a sudden they're dragging like a Jeff
Goldbloom typed to the White House in the war room,

(10:24):
like I didn't expect this, And that goes with our
conversation Danny g earlier this week. The spontaneity takes a
lot of pressure off of things like that, like had
he known that, you know what, on this day, I'm
gonna have to go there and be the hero and
then throw out the first pitch. Nerves might get to you,
but the spontaneity of it all makes it just like,

(10:45):
what in the hell's going on?

Speaker 2 (10:46):
It's just fun And what a day for that guy?
So that happened? Do they've just left the bees there?
They were? But why were they attracted to like the wires.
It was like, was there covered in uh, some kind
of sugar.

Speaker 1 (10:58):
I don't someone left their uh their chocolate turro on
the top top of the It was a brawl yesterday,
and the bee thing seemed a little more exciting, to
be honest.

Speaker 6 (11:10):
That was interesting too, because if you've seen any of
the video clips, he was spraying the bee hive with
something and then not a hive. I guess he's got
a swarm. The swarm there like swarming. Then he took
like the vacuum cleaner and they were okay. I gathered him.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
Ok. I looked it up.

Speaker 6 (11:26):
It's sugar water spray that they used to calm to
calm the bees down.

Speaker 2 (11:30):
Makes sense.

Speaker 1 (11:31):
Bees are essential to our whole ecosystem. Take a walk
around your block because I do that with my kids.

Speaker 2 (11:37):
Honey around.

Speaker 1 (11:38):
Honey is one of the only things that doesn't have
an expiration date on it.

Speaker 2 (11:41):
Wow, dropping fun facts thirteen minutes into the show. For real,
bee It's the only thing my grandmother left me in
her will.

Speaker 1 (11:48):
Here's my honey and Daniel Danny still waiting to eat
it because it has no expiration.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
I'll take a walk with my kids around the block.

Speaker 1 (11:55):
And you know, out here in La there's a lot
of lavender plants and I always tell my son, I go, yo, Ben,
look at the plant lavender.

Speaker 2 (12:01):
What does it have?

Speaker 7 (12:02):
Bees?

Speaker 2 (12:03):
Yeah? The bees everywhere important to this.

Speaker 1 (12:06):
We figured we'd harp on it, guys, because no one
else here on Fox Sports Radio will. So that's what
we do. Cavino and Richal worldwide leaders of nonsense. Now,
we promised you have some Anthony Edwards talk, and we
got to get into it. He posted something that I
think everybody could relate to understand. You might not agree,

(12:27):
but you can't deny what he says to be true. Okay, Now,
he posts via Instagram, Anthony Edwards superstar. I've never seen
so many people be so happy to see an athlete
fail more than Lebron Lebron James facts. His whole career,

(12:48):
He's been hated on constantly and slandered to no end,
to the point where when he retires, no one would
have appreciated his greatness. I'm reading it word for word,
he says. I'm glad I will be the one who did.
Now he's not the only one, but he is one
who did. Okay, Jews now now you have to ask yourself,

(13:13):
well is this true? And you have to ask yourself, well,
why is Lebron James the most cheered against, rooted against
athlete in our lifetime? And like Covino said, you gotta
ask why because you could hear names like Michael Vick,
Ray Lewis, Deshaun Watson, Tiger Woods, Mike Tyson, Kobe Bryant.

Speaker 2 (13:33):
People have had things happen throughout.

Speaker 1 (13:36):
Their career where fans could be like Ronto, no, no,
they did something questionable. Lebron has done nothing of the sorts,
or has he? Is this an unwarranted reputation? Is this unfair?
Or maybe Edwards grew up he was a little kid.
He doesn't remember the perceptions some people had to Lebron.
He just looked at him as a hero. He stayed

(13:57):
out of the social issues. He agreed on what Lebron
was standing for at the time. Who knows what Edward.
Maybe Edwards just admired him as a basketball player, which
a lot of us should, right. But there's more to
Lebron than meets the eye. And that's why that's really it.
Whether you agree with him or not. The unwarranted response

(14:17):
and reaction or the fans that don't root for him
or hate on him. That all comes from things that
he brought on himself. You could say for the greater
good of mankind, or you could say it just rubbed
people the wrong way. I mean, I think Kerry gets
started with his sense of maybe arrogance as a younger player,

(14:39):
like when he was early on in Cleveland. I don't
think there was anything in Cleveland he was loved. Was
it all started outside of Cleveland? I'm talking said Miami.
I would say Miami, then the Miami. The decision is
I'm the decision. The arrogance that maybe a lot of
people took from that. I'm not saying it was there,
but that was the reputation. That's what he put out there.
And then of course his stance on certain social issues.

(15:01):
I'm not debating whether his stance was right or wrong.
I'm saying any time you're outspoken like that, it's going
to be polarizing. And that's why, be honest, I'll play dumb.
What political stances has he had the people? It's not
political stances, more social issues stances.

Speaker 2 (15:17):
Probably in the right we're standing up.

Speaker 1 (15:19):
For his people, you know, just culture issues that's all
just being an outspoken figure where Jordan kept to himself.
That's really what the conversation comes down to.

Speaker 6 (15:30):
Yeah, Rich, there was a whole space jam being released
in China. Thing lots of different than Yeah, stuff like that.

Speaker 1 (15:37):
There was any story where let's say he had a
stand up for the little guy, he did and you
could say, well, good for him, because other superstars stayed
out of it, and you catch last flak as as
a result of that.

Speaker 2 (15:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (15:51):
One thing we did point out on our show before, though, Covino,
there's been times where and I hate this, it's the
media's fault, the reporter's fault.

Speaker 2 (15:58):
They will run to him like.

Speaker 6 (15:59):
Little kids anytime something breaks in the news, and they'll say,
what's your thought on it, what's your stance on it?

Speaker 2 (16:06):
And he feels that pressure. He's kind of backed in it.
He never hit from it. No, he didn't commend that.

Speaker 6 (16:11):
But instead of saying, you know what, I need to
do some research on that. I need to figure out
what I think about that, he has spoken and you
could tell, like his book, he didn't read into it,
and so sometimes it just comes off as you know,
him just talking.

Speaker 1 (16:27):
So I'm not saying Anthony Edwards is wrong by any means,
but I think there's reasons that people have reacted that way,
you know, for right or wrong.

Speaker 2 (16:39):
That's why there is a reason.

Speaker 1 (16:41):
That's why I want to love to Michael Jordan because
he wouldn't respond on things like that back in the day.

Speaker 2 (16:46):
He didn't and you just appreciated him as a basketball player.

Speaker 1 (16:50):
Lebron James was way more out there with his opinions,
and again you could commend him for it, but it
also rub people the wrong way.

Speaker 2 (16:57):
It's like any polarizing figure. Rich.

Speaker 1 (16:59):
Yeah, but I don't want to know why eight seven
seven nine nine on focks like well, because of antics,
because of the decision, because he because he flails his arms.

Speaker 2 (17:10):
During a foul like that for reason.

Speaker 1 (17:12):
Yeah, there's a lot of people that don't like it
because he's great, and sometimes you don't necessarily embrace the greatness.
I mean, why would anyone really hate on Tom Brady?
To be honest, he wasn't a guy that wasn't necessarily
outspoken by any means, and people hate on him because
simply he's great.

Speaker 5 (17:30):
Right.

Speaker 1 (17:31):
I'm just curious as to in a world where there
are athletes are getting legal issues guys are getting bad
accidents drugs. Well, you're asking I don't hate Lebron James
at all. I think he's one of the greatest guys
and and honestly thrilled that we were able to witness
him live and watch his whole career. I mean, I
took my little brother to see him his rookie year

(17:52):
just to make sure, Like, dude, I want you to
know you're seeing Lebron shames, dude, because he's a once
in a lifetime guy. So you're asking the wrong, dude,
I do I know the people out there that do
hate him, it's because he rubs them the wrong way
on the court and off the court.

Speaker 2 (18:09):
He can't say.

Speaker 1 (18:12):
You can't say it's because oh Space Dram two and China.

Speaker 2 (18:16):
No, I don't think anyone cares.

Speaker 1 (18:17):
I think it's because he flails his arms during fouls
and he did the decision. There's like you could point
to a few moments that Lebron seems arrogant or maybe.

Speaker 2 (18:29):
Entitled or something, whatever the case may be.

Speaker 1 (18:31):
I feel like it's completely unwarranted for him to be
the most rooted against athlete of the last twenty five
thirty years. I mean, if you could read my handwriting.
I haven't written down right here on warrant unwarranted reputation.
It's kind of unfair. But again, it's like us doing

(18:52):
a radio show. The microphone is in that guy's face
so much that he's gonna say things eventually that just
people the wrong way. We as radio hosts every day
deal with backlash because not everybody's gonna agree with everything
you say. And when you live under that microscope and

(19:12):
every word and everything you do is speculated on, you're
gonna have people.

Speaker 2 (19:16):
That just hate on it. I'll tell you what.

Speaker 1 (19:18):
And he was very outspoken in his career. The point
has he never hid from anything. If I lived under
the Lebron whisoscope, yeah, I.

Speaker 2 (19:26):
Be canceled fifty times.

Speaker 1 (19:28):
All the things you may have said or did or dude,
oh you might have been seen with a female coworker
and people have been like he's cheating on his wife.
Like Lebron is pretty clear. The point is simple. Guys
like Jordan gave back to their community. It's not what
I'm saying, but back in those days, if someone went
to Michael Jordan with a question about any issue outside
of basketball, his reputation was and the way it was

(19:51):
handled back then was I'm not talking about that. We're
talking about basketball for the most part, at least in
that era. Is how Jordan handled his stuff, his business.
Lebron didn't shy away from those things, whatever the issue
may have been and not. And you know, as a
radio host, not everybody agrees with everything that's true. Now,

(20:13):
I will quote Dan Bayer, who was in on the
Update the day we were talking about the NFL draft.
Do you think Dan Bayer, Isaac Lohancrown and Monty do
you think they keep score? Who has the best points
on shows? They don't have to? It's me, okay, leaderboard,
Isaac Lohan, Kron. Dan Byer didn't make a great point

(20:34):
the other day. I'll give him props.

Speaker 2 (20:35):
I love dB.

Speaker 1 (20:36):
We're talking about how the NFL draft went from a
bunch of old dudes smoking cigarettes with those Beije phones
in the seventies and eighties and like crappy hotel conference rooms,
two hundreds of thousands of people AI technology. A player
gets drafted, he's all of a sudden running and they're
changing his jersey into the team jersey.

Speaker 2 (20:57):
On the video. It's unbelievable.

Speaker 1 (20:59):
The NFL Draft went from again nothing to a big
production that makes millions millions and millions watch, and dan
Byen made the point that maybe in the future free
agency turns into something like that. So what Lebron did
with the decision? Is it crazy to think other athletes
hold a press conference or an event now where it's
like I'm gonna make a choice, We're gonna yeah, we'll

(21:21):
look back to high school kids. He got such unnecessary
hate for that. I also think there's did all American
high school kids line up a bunch of hats and
they're like, is he gonna go to Georgia, Texas?

Speaker 2 (21:31):
Alabama? Sort of ahead of his time on that.

Speaker 1 (21:33):
I don't think a high school kid doesn't. And it's, oh,
that's cool Lebron did it. Both hated guy. What year
was that? By the way, because I remember watching it
and thinking it was awesome, Like I think cool.

Speaker 6 (21:44):
I think it's because the city felt of Cleveland, of course,
felt like he was totally dissing them, pulling the rug
out from underneath of them. Remember people there were burning
his jerseys and stuff like that. It's that was the
bad perception from.

Speaker 2 (21:57):
That started it.

Speaker 1 (21:58):
Yeah, I want to feel The update, by the way,
is Anthony Edwards says he wants to avenge Lebron, and
he says, I have to get Lebron's revenge. It's only right.
So tell the Nuggets I'm coming. So that's the update there.
So he did post a question on Instagram about why
does Lebron get all this hate? Let it be known
that it'll never come from him, and now he's avenging him.

(22:22):
So kind of cool Anthony Edwards doing his thing. Let's
go ahead, make me feel old. The decision presented by
the lake Ate, Stuart Scott, Michael Wilbon, Chris Brussard. He
was there, John Barry, Jim Gray, all on hand in Greenwich, Connecticut.

Speaker 2 (22:41):
Yeah, a seventy five minute special.

Speaker 1 (22:44):
I mean we were all watching on July eighth, twenty ten,
fourteen years ago. Lebron James took the stage when I
were doing the show together, and I'll be talking about,
as he said back then, the most famous line, He's
going to take his talents to South Beach, and he
then became hated. He went from Akron Boy playing for

(23:04):
the Calves, the future of the NBA to like, look
at this arrogant I'm making a TV special.

Speaker 2 (23:13):
A free agency has headed.

Speaker 1 (23:14):
There, but not as his goat nests and greatness grew.
People don't like to see guys of his caliber complain
to officials, flop and do those things. He's almost too
good for that, and it rubs people the wrong way.
These are just my assumptions. I can't answer that. I
don't hate Lebron James. I'm actually, like I said, happy

(23:35):
we got to witness his career. Agreed, now listen, we're
running late, we're gonna break, We'll come back. But I
had one more thought about this. You know how, there's
always someone the first person to do something like like
like there was one person that decided I'm gonna drink
milk out of the butter of a cow that just
happened to work out. There's always someone that does something
risky or not, like, hey, do you think we should
eat a meat from that animal? Or that that bury

(23:58):
on that bush? One guy ate it buried dead. There's
at least one person to do it first. Do you
think if it was the first guy to drop a what?
I can't you know what? I can't even say it? No, okay, fine,
now curious what it is if Lebron jasamous Snoop dogg joke.
If Lebron James and the decision in twenty ten would

(24:20):
have went over amazingly, like everyone's like, wow, that was awesome.
I bet you it would have just been a trend
from that day on. I think everyone else saw no, nope,
not doing that. It was how it was handled. I mean,
they've made specials about it. He made people wait, if
the whole thing, if that would have went well, every
other free agent in the major sports afterwards would have thought,
maybe I should do a special. But because it fell

(24:41):
flat and looked bad, yeah, it was like, no, not
doing that.

Speaker 6 (24:44):
Remember how the Calves owner reacted, eh lood. He made
Lebron his arch enemy there for a moment.

Speaker 2 (24:50):
Don't remember. They even parodied it on How I Met
Your Mother.

Speaker 1 (24:52):
Bonnie Stinson had to pick his new favorite strip club
and he did the decision Jim Gray. There was also
a backstory with Jim Gray and the questions. It's not
coming to mind now, but you know a lot of
these things along the years rub people the wrong way.
And maybe Anthony Edwards was too young to remember that.
Not saying it's fair, but he's like he doesn't get it.
A lot of people don't get it. Why all the
unnecessary hate unwarranted? Hey on Lebron, your thoughts, your feedback,

Speaker 1 (27:36):
All right, a fiesta. I'm so pumped for the fiesta
this weekend. And of course Canelo Mungia and there was
some fireworks, a heated exchange between Canelo and the Golden
Boy himself earlier today, Oscar de la Hoyn. I can't
take Canello serious, but he gets mad. He started cursing

(27:58):
at Oscar dell.

Speaker 2 (27:59):
Man, listen to me if you want their business. Very funny.
He starts cursing. It's wild man.

Speaker 1 (28:06):
By the way, I put a poll up on our
Instagram story at Covino rich.

Speaker 2 (28:10):
Better voice Canelo or mahomes what are you doing? What
are you doing? Be Boulder a slie be Boulder.

Speaker 1 (28:18):
So anyway you got you gotta see it's funny, but
we can't play it because he starts cursing at Oscar,
and Oscar said, put some damn respect on my name,
and Canelo was calling him. Also have some Mexican curses.
Pretty much told Canelo without me, you'd be nothing. Yeah. Yeah,
watch by the way our Instagram story at Covin on Rich,
I put up a poll. Uh, I wish Sam is
rocking is saved by the bell throwback shirt and I

(28:41):
want to know if you think get sweet or nope?
What a coincident dance because I'm wearing my singlet a
la Ac Slater underneath this perfect Yeah. So I'm Covino,
that is Rich Davis, Iowa Sam on the ones and
twos with the funny shirt. You could be the judge.
At Covino and Rich. We got Danny g We got
Low and chron with the updates and spot on the

(29:02):
videos getting ready for midweek major at Covino and Rich. Now, yeah,
I was gonna say we got to get to Loan
Crown's update. But rapid fire, cross fire, Let's go Lebron.
James Anthony Edwards said he gets the most unnecessary hate
of any athlete ever. Then he said He's going to
avenge Lebron to watch out Nuggies. Yeah, so a simple question,

(29:23):
why why does everyone not like Lebron?

Speaker 2 (29:27):
D and Florida started off rapid fire. What's up, d
what's going on?

Speaker 5 (29:31):
Guys?

Speaker 2 (29:31):
What's mean?

Speaker 10 (29:32):
He's Lebron. When you're Tom Brady, Lebron James, Kobe Bryant,
You're always gonna have one group and one group who
hates you. I don't care if Lebron James goes to Mars.
I'm rooting for the Marsians. He's always been my guy,
next to Michael Jordan. He's the greatest thing that's ever lived.

Speaker 2 (29:48):
Yeah, listen, dude, look at it this way.

Speaker 1 (29:50):
Polarizing people, Howard Stern, Joe Rogan, Stephen A Smith, Colin
Cowhard people. You know, for people that are big and
good at what they do is equal hate always right,
Floyd Mayweather Junior. I mean it's true. Sam Ohio, what's up?

Speaker 2 (30:06):
Sam?

Speaker 10 (30:06):
What's up? Fella's how was going?

Speaker 2 (30:08):
What's up? Why? We asked why Ron gets all the hate?

Speaker 5 (30:11):
Listen, man, this started before the decision.

Speaker 10 (30:14):
Remember his mom body my hummer in high school?

Speaker 3 (30:16):
Yes?

Speaker 10 (30:17):
Oh yeah, you want to think the kids stole the hummer?

Speaker 2 (30:21):
No, but that was a big story. It cost a
lot of speculation that wristen guys.

Speaker 10 (30:25):
The great philosopher Charles Barkley said, fifty percent of the
people gonna love you, fifty percent of the people won't
hate you. And that's fifty percent only gonna hate you
because day life's up.

Speaker 2 (30:34):
You know what.

Speaker 1 (30:34):
That's true, As Charles Barkley also said, hindsight is whatever.
Wayne in South Dakota, what's up Wayne.

Speaker 5 (30:41):
It's a couple of things. One, I think it's timing.
It was many years ago. If he did that today,
I don't know if it would be as dad.

Speaker 8 (30:48):
And the other thing is I don't need to hear
how good he is all the time from him.

Speaker 11 (30:53):
His work is good enough.

Speaker 5 (30:54):
He doesn't need to say it.

Speaker 2 (30:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (30:55):
He also embraced the King James and he's putting the
crown on his head Patricks and look, which is all
great if you love him and you look at it
from a place of non hatred.

Speaker 2 (31:07):
See, I.

Speaker 1 (31:09):
Like that.

Speaker 2 (31:10):
I do too.

Speaker 6 (31:10):
But I think one of the things that was endearing
about Michael Jordan he would just shrug his shoulders like,
I don't know why I'm so great?

Speaker 2 (31:17):
Right, He would never put a crown on his head.

Speaker 1 (31:19):
And again he wasn't as outspoken dude, so less to
speculate on Tony in Miami, what's up Tony's good on, guys.

Speaker 5 (31:30):
I have to explain this because I'm forty two and
I work at a gym, and there's a lot of
teenagers and people in college that like, look at me,
like muck is the really is some gladiator? Like why
is he the king again?

Speaker 2 (31:44):
Right?

Speaker 11 (31:45):
He's not?

Speaker 5 (31:47):
So I believe it's not a politics. I have to
disagree with one of the earlier callers that he's definitely not.
The hatred towards Kirby Brady is not the same. It's
different things. There's totally different things, and it's nowhere near
the hatreds at Lebron. Lady will never be both bowed
at a Super Bowl as he you know, when he

(32:08):
showed on the Big Train, and Kirby, even if he
was alive, would never get the animosity that Lebron Lebron's
situation is this. There was a kind of a touch
in how we for fifty years, fifty fifty years and
I want to go backball in the early you know,
just class through the seventies and sixties and of how

(32:29):
we judge players. We get to twenty ten and this
guy thinks he's just gonna like pull a teaching out
and get the same respect. Well, there's a bookmark there,
and there's receipts.

Speaker 2 (32:44):
And yeah, listen.

Speaker 1 (32:45):
Then Tony when he said we're gonna win one, not one, two,
three or four or five, when he did that whole routine,
I think that also not.

Speaker 2 (32:54):
Two, not three, not full, not five, not six and
went off, oh boy, yeah, that was part of it.
I know what.

Speaker 1 (33:04):
We'll take the rest of your feedback, but let's go
to Isaac for an update if that's cool with you.

Speaker 2 (33:08):
And then back to the phone calls. Isaac Loenkron all right, fellas.

Speaker 7 (33:11):
Major League Baseball today suspended Milwaukee Brewers reliever Abner Uriba
six games for causing that bench clearing brawl in last
night's game against the Tampa Bay Rays. Brewers starting pitcher
Freddie Peralta was suspended five games. Brewers manager Pat Murphy
suspended two games. Major League Baseball also issued a three
game suspension to Tampa Bay outfielder Jose Siri.

Speaker 2 (33:35):
Three games. You gotta be kidding me. You can take
your suspension and shove it up here, Siri. Good one.

Speaker 7 (33:44):
All I asked was where's the nearest gas station?

Speaker 3 (33:46):
Anyway?

Speaker 7 (33:46):
Today, on the field, the Brewers beat the Rays seven
to one, bind a pair of home runs from Willie Adamas.
The Minnesota Twins won their tenth in a row today,
they beat the Chicago White Sox ten to five. Kansas
City just won at Toronto six to one. Michael Massey
of the Royals four RBI incloding a three run home run.
Kansas City catcher Salvador Perez extended his on base streak

(34:07):
to twenty one consecutive games. Finally, Fella's Front Office Sports
reports that the baseball card company Tops has agreed to
an endorsement deal with newly renowned Arizona Diamondbacks beekeeper Matt Hilton.

Speaker 2 (34:25):
He's the beekeeper.

Speaker 7 (34:26):
They will now be selling autographed Matt Hilton baseball cards
for eight ninety nine each.

Speaker 2 (34:33):
Back to you, what did I say like that?

Speaker 1 (34:35):
Who would have ever thought when he woke up that
day that would happen.

Speaker 2 (34:40):
It's inspiring, you really are. You never know what's in store.

Speaker 6 (34:43):
You know the special edition cards where a piece of
the jersey is cut up and put on the card.
H They should do that with his beekeeper suit.

Speaker 1 (34:49):
Yeah, little mesh mesh. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (34:52):
But thank you Isaac for the update. Buddy.

Speaker 1 (34:54):
You know, real one more quick phone call that we
could wrap this. Matt in New Mexico. To wrap up
the conversation Lebron James, Anthony Edwards said, why is he
the most hated cheered against athlete ever?

Speaker 11 (35:06):
What do you think, Matt, Well, you know he kind
of steal my thunder there at the end. It was
not one, not two, not three, not four, yeah, not four.

Speaker 1 (35:17):
It was that it was how he was one of
the pioneers of the Super Team, right he leaves his
team to join Force as well, all these superstars has
this announcement. You know, Jim Gray I remember was saying
it was insensitive in that documentary. It was also the
extensive coverage. You don't think that when you were watching

(35:38):
ESPN or any barbershop visit and they're debating Jordan and Lebron,
it just got she got excessive. You know, you're like,
all right, enough enough Lebron coverage all the time. And
that's coming from guys again who all appreciate Lebron. James,
especially Danny G who's a huge Lakers fan. Danny G

(35:59):
got final words as to why maybe.

Speaker 6 (36:02):
Yeah, I think we covered it pretty well on AM
five seventy Our La, our big LA affiliate yesterday, they
were really hard on Lebron because they wanted him to
pick up Jamal Murray at half court there on that
final play. They're like, if you're the star of the team,
you gotta go pick up Jamal Murray on defense, and
they basically called him a bum, saying Lebron hasn't done

(36:23):
anything worthwhile for the Lakers. Completely disagree with that.

Speaker 2 (36:26):
Sound.

Speaker 1 (36:27):
Yeah, I don't know if he deserves statues and stuff,
but yeah, exactly.

Speaker 6 (36:30):
Yeah, I'm not putting a Laker statue out front for him,
But to say he hasn't done anything for the Lakers,
that's a bunch of bull.

Speaker 1 (36:37):
Well that's that's been the question this whole week is
like did he underachieve in his Lakers experience? So Anthony
Edward's saying that we need to appreciate his greatness and
he's going to avenge Lebron moving forward. Well, you put
it up long enough, it's time to replace your tires.

Speaker 2 (37:45):
Hmmm, put some stink on it.

Speaker 1 (37:49):
Put a little sli in the family stone on it.
There you're a sligh Absolutely. Covino and rich on Fox
Sports Radio Live from the tyrack dot com studio. We
talk Lebron. We talked bees to Tuck Lebron Bees. Talk

(38:10):
about the bees too.

Speaker 2 (38:12):
What's up? Killer? Richard's a big fan of the killer bees,
throwing up.

Speaker 1 (38:15):
Name the two killer bees in WWF and I'll buy
you a coffee. I can't come on anyone, b Brian
Blair and jump in. Jim Brunzell, look at that. I
don't mind when I don't know, Like I'll admit I
really I wouldn't know.

Speaker 2 (38:35):
I wouldn't have got that. But did you hear this?

Speaker 1 (38:37):
We're talking NBA Lebron and how Anthony Edwards is going
to get his sweet revenge on the Nuggets and Yokich.

Speaker 5 (38:44):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (38:44):
Something cool happening in that Sixers Nick series?

Speaker 2 (38:48):
Did you see?

Speaker 1 (38:50):
Michael Rubin of Fanatics. Of Fanatics said he Josh Harris,
David Blitzer, and David Adelman, who are owners of the
group that owns the seventy six Ers, have bought more
than two thousand tickets for Game six, and we absolutely
cannot let Knicks fans take over our arena ever again,

(39:11):
giving them to first responders, healthcare professionals, and other local
Philadelphia based organizations, giving them to legit Sixers fans, not imposters.
Let's go Sixers. We could do this, so, I mean
they have the money to do that. When I said
Michael Rubin of Fanatics, he owns the Jersey company the

(39:34):
what would you even call it the apparel company? He's
a shark on Shark Tank. Dude has billions. Doesn't he
throw those huge parties to the white parties where everyone
wears white.

Speaker 2 (39:44):
Yeah, he's a big time white party. What do you mean?

Speaker 1 (39:49):
But yeah, I think that's pretty cool for if you're
a Sixers fan Philadelphia. You know, I like because a
lot of times when opposing fans say, you know, we're
all going to show up, especially when there's two cities
that are like an hour and a half two hours apart,
like Philly and New York, you could bombard the other stadium.
So that just makes that series a little more heated
up if you asked me Philly interesting. All right, we

(40:13):
are going to get to midweek major coming up. We
are going to get to a Mahomes story, and I
think Mahomes needs to put fear aside. This guy's the
greatest athlete in the NFL right now, and I think
he's being a little uh, a little bit of a
be I'll explain why p But I had a question

(40:34):
for you, Kabino about oh Ozempic.

Speaker 2 (40:40):
That's not it, that's O'Reilly's face.

Speaker 1 (40:43):
O Zempic is always in the news because of like Iowa,
Sam just referenced, ozempic face is the new craze here
in Los Angeles especially. People have this gaunt, soulless look
in their face and it's caused by a side of
of o zempic. Because people lose weight so fast it
takes takes a minute for your body to catch up,

(41:06):
so you like a ghoul.

Speaker 2 (41:07):
My mother's coworker lost forty pounds like a month.

Speaker 1 (41:12):
Yeah, I mean it works, but yeah, there's a lot
of side effects too. There's atrophy involved. Some people don't
bounce back. Sharon Osborne has said that she can't gain
weight back after it.

Speaker 6 (41:23):
People lose, people lose a ton of muscle. The nausea
is why they're losing weight. You throw up anything you
try to eat.

Speaker 1 (41:30):
Now, I lost my keys. Wait a minute, did a
boot just come out a license plate? What do you
got your stomach? So there's an ozempic question I want
to ask because Covino and I I'm not sure if
we're on the same page with this.

Speaker 2 (41:41):
I got a guy, you.

Speaker 1 (41:43):
Think I couldn't lose if I've lost more than ten pounds,
I look sick.

Speaker 5 (41:46):
Shit.

Speaker 2 (41:47):
If you lose ten pounds in your head. Do you'd
look normal.

Speaker 1 (41:51):
I'm six foot and I weigh about one ninety if
I was any if I was if I was anything
less than like one to eighty something, I would look
I one time I lost weight to see if I
could get abs.

Speaker 2 (42:03):
Everyone's like, are you dying? You sick? Like you can't.

Speaker 1 (42:05):
He's amazing, You've us about twenty pounds when you trimmed
your hair like a normal adult male on your head
has to have like huge likenings on his hair. He
used to have like male Gibson called them sidepoofs. Yeah,
like he had huge Yeah. Rich got his first fade
within the past few years. So Melissa McCarthy's in the
news because she looks good. So I didn't know I
did the show with our video guy fashion model spot

(42:28):
Christian Swords.

Speaker 2 (42:29):
I keep up on the trap. Oh, I didn't know
I did it. I did the Home of Fashionist. I
don't know.

Speaker 1 (42:37):
I didn't know Hansel was our video guy. Wow, man up.
Word burgers have been served. I just know there's a
story about Melissa McCarthy, Barber streisand and Ozempic.

Speaker 2 (42:49):
Who would have thought that would be on the show.
