And you guys as well.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
Eight seven, seven, nine nine on Fox, the most interactive
show on radio in the history of broadcasting. Well says
your mom. Yes, hope you had a nice weekend. I
hope you're enjoying the fall. It's got that little chill
in the air today, little chili here in the studio
and we're in California. This is not chilling air. I'm
my car said one hundred and three. I know it's
(02:49):
sitting in the driveway, but it don't make it seem
like one hundred and three forecast.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
Do you check. It's not even close to one hundred
and anything.
Speaker 1 (02:56):
I'm saying my car. You know, when you're turning your
car sitting in the hot driveway, What does that have
to do with the price of benenes? I had to
turn my heir in a studio. Bro, It's cold in
the studio. What does that do with your car sitting
in the driveway. I said, it's cold here in the studio. Anyway,
there's nothing fall like about Los Angeles. Anyway, we got
to talk about your observations and obvious servations from this
(03:19):
past weekend. Doesn't have to be about the NFL, but
it should be about the NFL. Could be about coach Prime,
could be about college football, could be about UFC fight night.
Whatever you watched, could be entertainment. Things that made you
go hmmm, things that make you go, things that make
(03:39):
you go. It could have been about the Super Bowl
halftime announcement. That might be a discussion in itself. That's
a discussion itself. And Kelsey and Taylerswift, that's a conversation
in itself. Trust me, we're going to get to all that.
That's a big story, man. You know what, because I
have a theory so big I'm sick of it already.
Because I have a theory not from a hater perspective.
I have a theory about the people that are hating
(04:00):
on it. Really just need a hug. Yeah, I'll explain more.
I'll take a hug, But I'm not hating on the story, Pete.
There's a lot of weirdos out there, and I'll talk
about him today. You know, I don't mind even starting
to talk about those weirdos right now, because I have
been seeing a lot of people.
Speaker 2 (04:17):
Who cares about Taylor Swift, Like, all right.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
Biggest pop star on planet Earth and one of the
most charismatic athletes, two times Super Bowl champion Travis Kelce
got a fun little romance going on. There's so much
negative bs in this world that if you can't enjoy
that is true young love and at least get a
kick out of it.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
You don't need to be a Swiftie.
Speaker 4 (04:40):
To be loved.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
To be loved? What's love got to do? What a feeling?
I mean, he loved you know what?
Speaker 5 (04:47):
Man?
Speaker 1 (04:47):
You know what I love most about the story Love
Love shut down an entire restaurant for themselves, not even
that part. No brother Love even loved it. I love
this story. What I love is watching Taylor Swift cheering
on her dude. It's fresh new love. The butterflies are
(05:08):
still there. It's exciting and new, the honeymoon phase. But
watching her cheer on her dude, like, get up out.
Speaker 2 (05:17):
Of her seat. Yeah, that's my man, Like, that's everything.
Speaker 1 (05:21):
To see her mouth though, lets effing go, that's how everything. Yeah,
she smacked his mom's ass cheeks like chest from somebody,
that did happen. That's how every wife and girlfriend should
cheerlead there man and vice versa.
Speaker 2 (05:37):
That's not some sexist comment.
Speaker 1 (05:39):
I think in every relationship you should witness that type
of support. That's my guy. You don't get that long woman,
if you don't get that love and support from the
woman you're with or ladies, the man you're with.
Speaker 2 (05:51):
And you might be with the wrong person.
Speaker 1 (05:53):
You need someone to be cheerleading in your corner, just
like that. And it was nice to see, and it's
cool to see because she's no slouch, you know what
I mean, she's somebody. She's the bigger name in the relationship.
And by the way, can you know makes a great point.
Let me, let's not let that get lost. You should
be with someone that is your cheerleader, your biggest cheerleader.
(06:13):
I don't care what anyone says, like I've seen you
date and I've dated women, but I can think of
one person in particular that anytime someone would compliment Cavino,
she was so quick to be like, don't blow up
his head. Don't say like I'm like, dude, well I
do have a crazy ego, you do, I understand, but
still like, yeah, she should be your number one cheerleader
the pot I get it, man, And like I said,
it goes both ways. So if that means you men
(06:35):
out there need to put on your cheerleading pantalones, then
you better better put on those those tidy pants and
make it happen. How many straight dudes do you think
we're cheerleaders in college because they were pervs? Because my
thought is, this is my thought, male cheerleaders either one
of our gay friends or a straight guy that really.
Speaker 3 (06:55):
My brother was a cheerleader, and he specifically did it
to be with women.
Speaker 1 (07:00):
On the chest because either a guy that really wants
to grab he either wants to grab some booties. See,
he could have joined the football team. That's what I
chose to do. That seemed easier to me. You are
a male cheerleader, God bless you. I'm just saying it's
let's I'm not lying. You're either one of our gay
pal you're you're a gay dude, or you're a straight
guy that really is.
Speaker 3 (07:19):
Super cheerleaders can get more hands on than the football.
Speaker 1 (07:22):
Absolutely, absolutely, so Hey, it goes both ways, is my point.
And it was nice to see her cheering on Travis Kelsey.
But I did feel a tad bit more of a
Chad not a tad more of a Chad chadbit bit
of pressure, unnecessary pressure on Mahomes, like I I and
(07:43):
the team because she was there. There was a part
of me It's like, Kelsey's got to get a touchdown.
Speaker 2 (07:49):
He's got to get a.
Speaker 1 (07:50):
Touch So if I'm thinking that, you're thinking that, the
broadcasters are thinking that, the team's thinking that. Mahomes is
now thinking that too, and he doesn't need any distractions.
So I do see from the football perspective like it
is a bit distracting, but it's still nice and fun
to see.
Speaker 2 (08:05):
It's a fun story.
Speaker 1 (08:06):
Rich I I don't want to jump ahead, but even
after the game, Aaron Andrews had to even talk to
Patrick Mahomes about it. Do you realize how much pressure
there was on you today from the Swifties to get
Travis Kelcey a touchdown? With Taylor in the house today, Yeah,
I heard that.
Speaker 2 (08:22):
I heard she was in the house.
Speaker 1 (08:23):
Do you feel it. Did you feel the pressure, Patrick,
I felt a little bit of pressure, and so I
knew how to get it to Trev And of course
it's on the route that Travis he does his own
thing and just makes up a row and not throw
it to him.
Speaker 2 (08:33):
So uh, I think he wanted to.
Speaker 1 (08:35):
Get in the ends up just as much as all
the Swifties wanted him to. I too, Takeaways your Mahomes
is great.
Speaker 2 (08:45):
Yeah, the game.
Speaker 1 (08:47):
Yeah, I felt a little bit of pressure, and it's
good to be honest. I feel not pressure already, so
I really need that.
Speaker 2 (08:54):
But uh, you know, it's all good new Love, Fresh love.
Speaker 1 (08:57):
But even Mahomes gave a little wave up the suite,
all the sideline dudes, trainers, personnel.
Speaker 2 (09:04):
Did you see that clip that was posted?
Speaker 1 (09:06):
I think might have been on Fox Sports or ESPN
where they're bleeping them out, but they're all like, oh
s oh holy it's Taylor Swift, like everyone there was
sort of fascinated by.
Speaker 2 (09:17):
So I have to mention that we called it here
on the show You in.
Speaker 1 (09:20):
Particular, Rich, we did a schedule breakdown of when it
was gonna happen, and we said it has to be
against the worst team Danny g said, you mean this
weekend against the Bears, And I thought that was too soon,
but absolutely right. You know what bothered me about that,
we called it not to listen. It was not a
No Stra Davis prediction for me to say, oh the
(09:40):
lit Swift's gonna show up at a game. Well, we
all agreed that it did matter what games she went to,
because if they had a bad game, or if they
lost or Kelsey played bad, it would have been her
fault and that would have been the story. And they
want to avoid a public relations nightmare, so it did matter.
We made the point it wasn't a big stretch to
(10:01):
say she'll show up at a game. We were pinpointing
when it made sense based on how she goes back
out on tour in November. There was a limited number
of games, and we broke it down like she can't
go when they play the Chargers or Eagles because if then,
if they lose to a relatively competitive team that could
beat them, then it's the curse of Taylor Swift and
she's a distraction.
Speaker 2 (10:21):
God forbid.
Speaker 1 (10:21):
Yeah, Mahomes throws like an unnecessary pass to Kelsey. You know,
oh he felt pressure to throw it to Kelsey because
Taylor was there.
Speaker 6 (10:29):
So my daughter, Sarah is obviously a gigantic Taylor Swift fan.
She's eighteen years old, and she heard that clip and
she goes, Dad, listen to this guy. I go, okay,
I didn't know what she was talking about. She goes
and it was the cut right there. Just he sounds
like a like a frog. I go, okay. You know,
she's never heard him before. She's all just Taylor Swift.
(10:50):
So when she here this guy, I go, yeah, he's
like one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL.
Speaker 1 (10:54):
She goes, wow and he talks like that. I go, yes, set,
is that a super fan of Taylor? No, honey, that's
Patrick Mahomes. But no, Danny. We pinpointed the game. So
what bothered me. I saw some feedback of like, yeah, guys,
like really crazy prediction. We were saying, we decided what
game it would be, Like, who's the guy on the
weekend v Jay vernon hust Husk Big Vanilla with it
(11:19):
with his beard and his Birdberry scarf on Instagram.
Speaker 2 (11:23):
You're still mad because he beat you up last man standing.
Speaker 1 (11:25):
Yeah, here he is being like yo, guys are predicted
that too, and it's like, no, you didn't. You just
said like everyone else, like she'll probably show up. We
and I don't need to pat ourselves on the back
schedule watse we we we were trying to figure out
what made the most sense, and you know what, it
was cool to see her there.
Speaker 2 (11:41):
It was Taylor Swift curse watch. Yeah you had a
name for it.
Speaker 5 (11:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (11:44):
We were like, we gotta figure out which game she
goes to because the wrong game could be a bad move.
Trust me, a lot of our predictions, like everyone in
sports talk radio, do not come true. So this was
one where I did feel like, oh cool, we did
sot a predict that. A lot of people hit me up,
Danny the minute they saw, like, oh you guys are
right now. I thought it was cool how Taylor Swift
(12:06):
was with Kelsey's mom, And I always love those interactions.
I was always I always tried to have that relationship
with girls I dated. There, the relationship with her mom.
You were probably good with moms too, No, always, Stephen
so nice. You think the moms wanted me stop it?
Speaker 2 (12:21):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (12:22):
Where else would she have sat though?
Speaker 2 (12:24):
Like it was Kelsey sweet?
Speaker 3 (12:26):
Yeah, yeah, like sorry, she'd end up. But I was
kind of thinking about that, like, how serious does that
make the relationship that she was with the mom? Have
we even actually gotten official confirmations so they are together?
Speaker 1 (12:34):
Well, Raina, that is so interesting you'd bring that up
because I remember back in the day when I was
single and how do I say this kindly just sort
of sleeping around a player. Now, there was a girl
that I probably hung out with like twice, and she's like,
my parents are visiting from out of town, and she's like,
my dad's a serious except subscriber, and that's what we were
(12:55):
working there. She's like, can you show my dad the studio?
Speaker 2 (12:58):
And Covino was like, yo, dude, it's serious. You met
her parents? Like no, no, it's not. I mean, man,
it's official.
Speaker 5 (13:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (13:04):
So I was thinking the same, like if they're casually
like dipping their toe in the water, and now all
of a sudden, Kelsey and Kelsey's mom. It's not like
Travis was like, mom, I'm dating this girl, Jessica.
Speaker 2 (13:15):
You might like her. It's Taylor Swift. I bet you her.
Speaker 1 (13:20):
His mom was probably a little nervous going in there too,
like I have to sit with Taylor Swift, no human.
We met her at the Super Bowl. Travis, the Kelsey's
were at the Super Bowl.
Speaker 2 (13:29):
Yeah, we had him on the show.
Speaker 1 (13:31):
Look not to overspeculate and nerd up this conversation, but
there was a lot of takeaways from this moment, things
that made us go hmm when it comes to this
story and it stuff. This whole story is one huge
story in itself. I did notice lat Reina that it
seemed way too soon, but again, what are the options
right for her to be there with his mom? But
(13:54):
then again, we don't know how long they've been dating.
We don't know anything, but it appeared to be Wow,
that's very soon. And then when Kelsey scored the touchdown,
I noticed that Taylor Swift was glued.
Speaker 2 (14:05):
On the moment.
Speaker 1 (14:06):
And I don't know if she has to wear with
thal to know, like, hey, if he scores a touchdown,
the cameras are going to be on me, and she
knows I better be ready for this moment and I
better own the moment. Because there's a backstory that she
requested tinted windows, So there's a backstory that she may
have thought that she was behind tinted windows.
Speaker 2 (14:23):
We don't know.
Speaker 1 (14:25):
I don't know, like how much of a tint like
your Jersey Guido tints from the nineties, or like a
real like a real twenties's car in the nineties with
the big tail, like how much from my smoke twenties
in my car right now? So there's speculation that there's
one moment where she's laughing with the mom. It may
be when she realized, oh, we're not behind tinted glass.
(14:47):
It's like, no, everybody could see you. But I did
notice that when Travis Kelsey scored the touchdown, Taylor Swift
was like, oh oh, and the mom was sort of
like picking her nose, like not even really paying attention.
Speaker 2 (14:58):
They were yeah, in the moment. I noticed that.
Speaker 1 (15:00):
But the way she celebrated Travis kelcey, that new love, that,
like I said, honeymoon phase. That reminds you of how
relationships should be. You should be with your biggest cheerleader
vice versa. Nice to see even though there's a lot
of hate, We're gonna talk about that. I'm gona talk
about the hate right now. And my thoughts about the
(15:25):
whole Taylor Kelsey thing is that, first of all, the
mom back to the mom for one last second, super
sweet again, Kelsey's.
Speaker 2 (15:33):
Mom got it going on.
Speaker 1 (15:36):
There is a sense of like usually when you meet
the parents, the pressures on the kid meeting the parents.
Imagine you, like, Danny, do you think of your mouth?
Think of everyone, think of their mom? Hi?
Speaker 4 (15:48):
Oh yeah, Taylor Swift would not approve of my mom.
Speaker 1 (15:50):
Like, imagine if your mom, like I think about when
I brought like regular girls home RICHI oh Jesus, Like,
imagine you're like, mom, you're gonna be sitting with Taylor Swift.
This is not a nobody And I get It's not
that she should be nervous. She's a grown woman, Kelsey's mom.
But still, yah, mom, Yeah, you're gonna be joined in
our suite today. Oh, by who's sweetheart?
Speaker 2 (16:12):
She's a pretty big deal.
Speaker 1 (16:13):
Yeah, you know, she's like a you know, just made
four billion dollars on a world tour. Maybe the most
popular person on Earth right now. That is the difference, right,
It's a little weird. How many people at Arrowhead about
around it is.
Speaker 2 (16:25):
Fifty seventy thousand. There's a lot of people fifty to
seventy thousand. We look at this.
Speaker 1 (16:30):
You're there to watch two teams compete, but fifty to
seventy thousand all came out to see one person, Taylor
Swift perform there. That's the difference in Star Pas seventy six,
seventy six thousand came out just to see her by
herself when she was there, So she goes there supports Kelsey.
(16:51):
It's a big story, guys, as you've seen, social media
won't let it be. So we could say, as far
as Colvin on Rich on Fox Sports Radio, our thoughts
the end, but here's I here's my thought though on
the response the people that are hating on this with
stuff like uh, who cares about Taylor Swift? This might
(17:12):
inspire some phone calls. So uh, guys and gals eight
seven seven ninety nine on Fox and at Covino and Rich,
if you agree or disagree on social media, who cares
about Taylor Swift? Why are they showing her? Who cares?
People that are hating, they're cut from the same cloth
as the people that we're excited to seend Coach Prime,
(17:34):
like polyester, thet it's like a weird, like a like
an itchy wool. It's a bad cloth, okay, cut from
the same cloth as the people that were rooting for
Coach Prime To finally.
Speaker 2 (17:45):
Lose, like they take a joy.
Speaker 1 (17:48):
In like I don't know, like hating this the mainstream story,
like who cares about Taylor Swift?
Speaker 2 (17:53):
Coach Prime lost? Good?
Speaker 1 (17:55):
Those people all need a hug if you need to
talk to someone one of our better help. It's like,
I'll talk to you if you want to talk to
me at Rich Davis, at Kavino Rich if you need
a hug, that bad that Taylor Swift annoys you and
you're so excited Coach Prime lost, I think you really life.
Maybe just beating you down a little bit, all right,
I want you to be real though for one minute.
(18:16):
The Kelsey Swift story, it's okay, okay, all right, so
you could see how someone gets a little IROLLI after
a while, right.
Speaker 2 (18:24):
But to hate on it, I'm with you, Rich.
Speaker 1 (18:26):
It's like I've always said, if I've always you always said,
no good story goes unpunished, I've always said that, what
does that mean? I don't know what is the real
saying no good indeed, no good deed goes unpunished. No
good story comes without hate. Right, There's always going to
be people that hate on that story for whatever reason.
It brings them joy to be the contrarian to hate
on it, and I try not to be that person,
(18:48):
but there's a lot of people that did want to
see Coach Prime lose. Oh man, it's over now. Not really,
I'm still excited about it. They weren't expected to win
that game. Yeah, they took a beating. They lost forty
two to six.
Speaker 2 (19:02):
I get it.
Speaker 1 (19:02):
But you're relishing and reveling in the failure of Coach
Prime instead of saying, Hey, Oregon, that's a great team.
And when it comes to Travis Kelsey and Taylor Swift,
you're real angry about it, and there's no real reason
to be angry. Right, it's overblown. That's fine, that's normal observation.
But me mad about it and hating on it and
rooting against it, that's just odd behavior.
Speaker 2 (19:25):
Yeah. For instance, no good story goes unpunished.
Speaker 1 (19:28):
Like I've always said, Eric hit us up today story
before the show, and he was quick to say, I'm
not fourteen. Can you guys please not talk about Taylor
Swift today? It's stupid. No one cares. And I'm like,
first of all, you don't need to be fourteen. Like
you look at the credit. It's like, you know, everyone
(19:50):
from teenager's twenty thirty year old women fort Taylor Shift
does not only appeal to fourteen year old She's not
a K pop band, you know, she's not like you know,
they're both thirty three. Yeah, come on, they're both thirty
three years old. And we've known her story of love
songs and the people she's dated. And we followed Travis
Kelcey's love life too. I mean, he had a show
about it, and he's one of the most popular players
(20:11):
in the NFL. He had a TV show Chasing Kelsey.
We talked to him about it. We interviewed him back
in the day. We were like, who is this study
He's gonna end up with somebody that somebody might be
Taylor Swift. Even grumps and grinches and grouches like Belichick
is rooting for this to work. Did you see his quote?
(20:32):
He said, Travis Kelcey is from coach Bill Belichick. Travis
Kelsey has had a lot of big catches in his career.
This would be the biggest. It's a nice thing to say.
As we remember he was a fan. He saw her
live though, and he was a big fan. But again,
it's a nice story. No need to hate it. Grump
is what I'm saying. Well, all I'm saying is, don't
be a grump. I did notice, though, two things, how
(20:56):
different they are.
Speaker 2 (20:57):
Right.
Speaker 1 (20:57):
She's like a pop princess and he's got a different
side to him, like a like a different sort of
swag about him. And you could see that in the
outfit he chose after the game. Now, look, guys, I'm
not trying to be overly critical, but that is the
weakest outfit to you, Yeah, to me, exactly to me,
I don't think he's got the style. You think that
Taylor Swift vibes with that, I don't think so. I mean, yeah,
(21:19):
I know he's way cooler than you. I'm not saying
he's not cool.
Speaker 5 (21:22):
Man.
Speaker 2 (21:22):
Do you want to date? I'm your big nerd.
Speaker 1 (21:24):
I'm saying that I don't think it vibes with Taylor Swift.
Did I offend your boyfriend? I'm saying, I don't think
that vibes, dude, with Taylor Swift. She's like a pop princess.
What vibes of Taylor Swift? He has this sort of
different sort of lean to his swag and you notice
it after the game.
Speaker 2 (21:39):
But I also noticed I thought was strategicy.
Speaker 1 (21:43):
It was that he I think specifically didn't have any
PDA with her after the game. There was two moments
in which I thought you you'd see them holding hands
or something like that, and you didn't see that. So again,
not to over speculate, but these are things that you
did notice with all of the footage and coverage of
Kelsey and Taylor Swift. But believe you me, Fox Sports
(22:05):
Radio Nation, We're gonna go to your feedback and read
your feedback. We do have our top three football takeaways
of things that made us go.
Speaker 2 (22:14):
And we will get to that next.
Speaker 1 (22:16):
And if you have thoughts on the Kelsey Swift thing, Hey,
it's the biggest story on planet Earth right now. So,
like we said last week, Danny, it was like when
Magic Johnson had the support of Michael Jackson showing up
for a Lakers game.
Speaker 4 (22:30):
Yeah, we got to get to that in a little bit.
The way people are thinking she secretly left the suite.
Oh yeah, manis that's very Michael Jackson.
Speaker 1 (22:38):
Well, listen, I got thoughts about the Cowboys, Lamar Jackson,
the Bears. There's so many things that happen this weekend
in the NFL and college football. So we will get
to all of it. I promise you that more. Next
right here Covino and Rich on Fox Sports Radio. And Rich,
you were talking about haters that need a hug. Maybe
people just need a hug. But again, maybe it's a misplaced,
angers directed rage because you do see a lot of
(23:03):
hateful comments on social media about nice things like Taylor
Swift and Kelsey or Coach Prime, lot of unnecessary hate,
a lot of unhappy people. Maybe you need someone to

Speaker 2 (25:07):
Now Feel the love.
Speaker 1 (25:09):
Love is in the air. Something's in the air. Things
that made you go hmmm. From the NFL weekend. Could
be something you watch, could be a random show. It
doesn't have to be football related. Love is in the Air.
Eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox is the number
at Covino and Riches Cavino and rich on Fox Sports
Radio Live Fromati rank dot com studios. Think of all
(25:32):
the love Vina, Travis Kelcey and Taylor Swift and next
week starts The Golden Bachelor. I can't wait, No, I
can't wait. Testosterone levels at an all time low. And
remember Chock is the new champion of natural te boosters.
Chock boosts testosterone twenty percent in ninety days. Chock is
giving thirty five percent off with code cr Show. That's
Shock Choq dot Com coote cr Show. I'll tell you
(25:55):
what all this Teylerswift talk. Do you think I did
a little chock? She was little. She was chocked up
to watch her man score a touchdown. The Dolphins were
chocked up this weekend. Oregon chocked up this weekend. We
hope you're chocked up for the fall this Monday. On
the Cavino and Rich Show, Now, I mentioned my observations
of deliberate. I believe it was a deliberate move to
(26:19):
not show any PDA, any handholding, any hand on the
thigh when he pulled off in is and it's convertible,
I'm talking Kelsey Taylor Swift. Probably the biggest story of
the weekend. Hate it all you want. Of course, there's
lots of great football, and we made lots of great
observations we're getting to. But the biggest story, in reality,
(26:40):
it was that it was I mean, and you know
what to gus to so many other observations I do
want to make. I think I'm being to notice the
lack of PDA. Yeah, yeah, I'm I I just feel
like it's a fun story. I'm more intrigued by the
people that are such haters. Like It's like this morning
I was on Facebook and I saw something, dude and
he's like, yeah, who cares? Like he go for huh,
(27:01):
I think she's busted, And I'm like I clicked on
his picture. It's a fifty year old fat ball guy,
and I'm like, you're criticizing Taylor Swift, you slop.
Speaker 5 (27:10):
Hey.
Speaker 1 (27:10):
People have opinions. But I did mention his outfit too,
and you could say, well, what do you know about style? Look,
it was a big story. Here's what I know. Could
I pull it off? Probably not, but I know that
a lot of people were talking about it, so of
course I'm going to bring it up here on the show.
His denim on denim outfit cost about six hundred beans, right,
(27:30):
But it was originally called the Bedroom Painting because of
the print on it. They immediately once he wore it
out there, they immediately changed it to the nineteen eighty
nine Bedroom Painting because now it's affiliated with the first
time he and Taylor Swift were seen in public together.
It was a huge story, like it or not, but
we did make other observations.
Speaker 2 (27:50):
Now.
Speaker 1 (27:51):
The first thing that made me go, Lamar Jackson can't finish.
I'm mad about that game because I bet on it.
I had it in a teaser.
Speaker 2 (27:59):
Bet I was.
Speaker 1 (28:00):
I was like, oh, Ravens need to win by one
and a half, and they got that gift. When Gardner
Minshew stepped out of the back of the end zone.
They were winning by one, and I'm like, oh, if
I get burnt on a half a point son of
them And I'm like, oh my god, I got a
gift from the football gods. They're winning by three and
then they get the ball after the safety, so I'm like, oh,
(28:22):
they get the ball back with like two minutes. All
Lamar Jackson needs is a first down, first down and
they run out the clock. He played hesitant, couldn't He
just couldn't get it done down the stretch. And Lamar Jackson,
if you look at it, this is it a case
of like we we always say, gripping the bat too tight,
Like you're trying too hard, you're not playing natural. I
don't know, because if you looked at his stat line,
(28:45):
see I watch that game a little closer, because again
I had money on it. If you look at the
stat line, you'd be.
Speaker 2 (28:50):
Like, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (28:51):
Lamar Jackson was twenty two for thirty one. He threw
for two hundred yards, He ran for one hundred yards
to a touchdas he said he can't close. Yeah, it
was a difference. It was a case of just I'll
give you an analogy for my Mets I feel like
Pete Alonso. There's been certain players that like, well, they
always they seem to like hit a home run when
you're losing six to one.
Speaker 6 (29:11):
Man.
Speaker 2 (29:11):
You know, Glabor Torres.
Speaker 1 (29:12):
The stats are great, you might tell me, Yeah, dude,
he goes three for four in the games they lose
ten to one. Meaningless home runs. Yeah, in meaningless moments.
It all matters in what moment. That's why stat lines
are misdceptive.
Speaker 2 (29:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (29:26):
I think especially in football, because a team could get
crushed and the quarterback could have four hundred yards and
that could just be like nonsense. You're playing from behind
throwing the ball. The defense is playing light. Stat Lines
in the NFL the most deceptive because you would say, oh,
Lamar Jackson, they didn't even score twenty points. So even
though he ran for one hundred yards through for a
couple hundred couple touchdowns, that offense they stalled out when
(29:49):
it was important and necessary. They got the ball a
couple times in overtime and couldn't even get Justin Tucker
in good enough range. He didn't miss like a sixty
something yarder, but that's a sixty something Yeah, and the
Colts win twenty two nineteen.
Speaker 2 (30:04):
So Lamar Jackson can't close.
Speaker 1 (30:07):
That's observation number one, aside from everything Kelsey Taylor Swift
and you know what I know, Ramos, one of your
preseason picks was you like the Ravens to be really
good this year. And Danny, I don't know, did you
watch any of the highlights of that, because if you
I watched it on Red Zone, yeah, you you would
get the impression like, oh, his numbers look good.
Speaker 2 (30:26):
They had so many opportunities too.
Speaker 1 (30:28):
They were given that game at the end and they
just couldn't hold, like, they just couldn't hold the lead.
Speaker 2 (30:33):
And then they couldn't score in.
Speaker 1 (30:35):
Overtime at home too in Baltimore. So yeah, observation one,
Lamar can't close. All right, So I'll go one for
one and your phone calls and feedback things that made
you go hmmm. This past weekend eight seven, seven ninety
nine on Fox, I did hear Colin talk about it,
which is why I try not to watch other people's
stuff because this is also an observation that I made,
(30:58):
but I saw that he talked about it. It's an
obvious servation. I gotta bring it up, man, it's got
to be a fact, something deeper going on in the
Denver locker room. You can't just say it's Russell Wilson.
You just can't. You could say he lost the locker
room and therefore people don't care. They're not buying into
him or the coaching. But it's a matter of culture,
(31:21):
it really is. It's a bigger problem to lose that
bad and to play that bad. You can't blame it
on just one dude. It's not a Russell Wilson problem.
I mean Sean part of the problem. It's a Sean Payton.
It's a Russell Wilson problem. It's a team culture problem.
And I don't know if there's a recovery. You remember
when urban Meyer very quickly lost control of the Jags.
(31:44):
He didn't even make it through a full season. There
was urban Meyer who came with a reputation of being
sort of a jerk. But you know a guy that
got done Sean Payton. There were multiple teams that were like,
who's gonna get Sean Payton. The Denver Bronco fans must
be so disappointed because if you remember last year sent him,
it was well, were they a quarterback away? They got Russ,
(32:06):
they won like five games. Then well, now we got
Sean Payton. So last year was an anomaly. Now we
got it zero and three and getting crushed, crushed seventy twenty.
Remember that goes the most points since nineteen sixty six.
And they could have beat the record if if Mike,
(32:26):
if Mike McDaniel wanted to be yeah, if they really
wanted to rub it in, and you know he said that, Hey,
the reason they scored so much is because they weren't
watching the scoreboard the whole time. They were just playing
great football. But seventy points, there's something more than meets
the eye with the Bronco. I just what could that be?
I mean, they lost the locker room. It really is
(32:49):
no sense of team going on. So those are two
observations from myself and Rich and we've got Yeah, we
got more. We're gonna keep them going. We'renna get to
your feedback. But a quick update dan By and by.
Speaker 8 (33:01):
Here guys, still two games left in the Week three schedule.
Eagles and Buccaneers from Tampa that comes up at seven
fifteen Eastern, and then the Rams and Bengals in Cincinnati,
where Joe Burrow remains a game time decision. Kickoff for
that one is at eight fifteen Eastern. Why not look
ahead to Week four that starts Thursday with the Packers
and Lions. Green Bay running back Heeron Jones would have
(33:21):
been limited in practice today, according to the team's estimated
practice reports. There was no workout for the Packers. As
for wide receiver Christian Watson, who, like Jones, missed the
yesterday's game against the Saints, Watson would have been a
DNP did not practice. Saints head coach Dennis Allen gave
us an update on quarterback Derek Carr's shoulder injury.
Speaker 9 (33:40):
We'll evaluate him as he goes throughout the week. This week, well,
I think we dodged a bullet there in terms of
anything of real, you know, significance. I think we're kind
of saying week to week.
Speaker 8 (33:51):
Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and concussion protocol. They've got the
Chargers in Week four. Chargers wide receiver Mike Williams is
going to miss the rest of the season with a
tour and ACL and his knee. The Steelers finally made
it back to Pittsburgh. They actually had to stop in
Kansas City after their charter was diverted there at about
five o'clock in the morning when an oil pressure failure
occurred in one of the planes engines. Steelers, though back home,
(34:14):
did not have to work out today, and Mike Tomlin
gave them Tuesday off, so they'll be back in the
facility on Wednesday. Finally, guys, I know it's too little
too late for the Yankees and Cavino squad, but they
beat the Diamondbacks today six ' four. That's of interest
because the Cubs in Arizona now tied for the second
wild card in the NL, the Marlins on the outside
looking in a game back of both teams.
Speaker 2 (34:35):
Guys, back to you, Thank you, Dan Byer.
Speaker 1 (34:37):
Something else that made me say hmm is seeing your
team eliminated from baseball playoffs. They were officially eliminated. I mean,
oh yes, don't know that fielding. Everybody probably sees that
meme or that little tweet that goes out that says, hey,
it's official, your team's actually done. I got that yesterday,
(34:59):
and you know, not the I was expecting anything.
Speaker 2 (35:00):
I get that. I get that every year. I'm a
Mets fan. It's lemsaabliss.
Speaker 1 (35:04):
So again, we're Covino and Rich live from the tiraq
dot com studios, and we're very chocked up to continue
discussing things that made you go hmm. We're going to
get to your feedback and phone calls. But every man
needs an edge. The other guy working on his edge
right now, whether you have one or not. Testosterone levels
or at an all time low T levels and men
(35:25):
declined one percent or more every year of the age. Thankfully,
there's a new champion of natural testosterone boosters that is Chock.
We've been taking Chock the Male Vitality Stack. It's been
clinically studied to boost testosterone twenty percent in ninety days.
Speaker 2 (35:39):
So reclaim your game. You know who needs.
Speaker 1 (35:41):
Chok, Denver Broncos. Yeah, some the whole team needs to
get chocked up higher team, maximize energy and laser focus.

So we got dj Ramos and Lorena, I'm the ones
and twos right now, It's Cavino and Rich on Fox
Sports Radio Danny G, super producer, getting ready for last
one standing. Uh you know what, Lorena, this is interesting
because Covino will debate this. I will not Today's national
one hit wonder Day, and Covino's gonna be like, I
know ten Vinolai songs. I mean, he had his love
(36:28):
song that I'm a big fan of, having a rony,
his beatbox was fantastic. How about playing that funking music?
Why boy and Ninja rap was a hit whether you
like it or not. I hated Ninja rap, but that
was a hit. And I'm a big fan of Vanilla
Ice your vip less kick.
Speaker 4 (36:46):
It nothing test of time though, Covino, there's only one
song that people ask for at a wedding and it's
this one.
Speaker 2 (36:53):
It's this one.
Speaker 1 (36:53):
Yeah, this is his big hit for sure, so big
aside from Happy Birthday, it's the only song I know.
Speaker 2 (36:58):
From start to finish. Yeah, you know what.
Speaker 1 (37:00):
Let me go around the room real quick, Lorena, Ramos,
Danny G, Damn Bayer, Elijah, if you want to chime in,
if you were stuck in can you don't have a
vision of doing a game show? I feel like I'm
giving away the premise. Now you guys are gonna steal
our million dollar idea. We have a game show idea
called pain Cave where if you're violent, if you were stuck,
isn't pain cave from waiting Garth, it's a waning So
(37:23):
if you were stuck in like a torture chamber and
it's like ramos, the only way out, like very song
like is you need to like you know, complete the lyric?
What song would you sing if the if the game
was you have to get every word right to get
out of like a dungeon, like if you mess it
up your die or your body or they start cutting
(37:43):
your toes off like Coach Prime, then what I'm what
song would you choose?
Speaker 2 (37:49):
Damn Bayern? What do you got? Happy Birthday? That would
be the way too easy?
Speaker 1 (37:56):
Uh? Think about that? Fox Sports Radio Nation. Any others
come to mind? Because that Ice Baby it's huge once.
Speaker 2 (38:03):
Upon a time.
Speaker 1 (38:03):
I don't know why, like rappers Delight is a fifteen
minutes song, but I think you might know all the
words of that.
Speaker 4 (38:11):
Mine. Mine's a little random, but it was a big
hit on your MTV raps when we were little kids,
Boogie Down productions. You guys are from the East coast,
huge rap group of KRS one. I wrote down every
word to my philosophy oh man, and memorized it, and
to this day I could recite it word for word.
Speaker 5 (38:29):
I might know.
Speaker 2 (38:29):
Regulator's word for word. No, yeah, I might, I might.
Speaker 1 (38:33):
First line it was a clear black knight, clear white move.
Warrange was on the streets. Try it. So anyway, Cavino
and Rich Fox Sports Radio, you think about that as
we go over again. Things that made you go, hmmm,
I know what you can't do any pearl jam song?
Oh no, those aren't the words. Yeah, how would they
(38:57):
know you were wrong?
Speaker 2 (38:58):
I know, isn't the first what is it? Uh?
Speaker 1 (39:02):
On the porch a letter sat? That's the gist of
it is the first line. May have skipped a word
or two, but that's the gist of it. Yeah, you
never know. So that's yellow leadbetter Rich. So it's one
hit wonder day. We played a little vanilla ice ice
ice baby. But things that made you go this weekend
number two my number two vikings clock management absolutely terrible.
(39:26):
At the end of the game, could have gotten two
plays off. Instead they got one playoff and it got picked.
They had every chance to win that game. And just
it was bad to see. I don't know if it
was coaching decision, I don't know if it was cousins
just not paying attention. I don't know what happened, but
it was noticeably bad and they just let one slip away.
So just a bad ending to that game. You know,
(39:47):
my theory on the Vikings is that they're a five
hundred team.
Speaker 2 (39:51):
Let me explain.
Speaker 1 (39:52):
I was gonna say, you know, they've lost three close games.
That's not a good look. Last year their record was
very inflated because they won a million one score close games,
like I think they you know, every game the Vikings
won last year, they were like they were always on
the winning end of like a gay winning field goal
or a miss or a last minute fumble. They were
lucky last year. This year they're having the opposite. So
(40:15):
maybe the Vikings are a five hundred team and last
year every ball bounced their way, and this year you're
seeing the opposite right right again. Last year they won
the close games. This year they're losing the close games.
But bad clock management on the team all around. They
could have had that game. They rushed one last play
instead of having two, and as a result, the Chargers
(40:36):
win twenty eight to twenty four. That's the final. So
that's my second observation. Now, I'm never ashamed to admit
when I was wrong Fonsie style. Last week, I was
so I think I so arrogantly said something like, well,
we all know.
Speaker 2 (40:53):
The Cardinals could never beat the Cowboys.
Speaker 1 (40:55):
I made the proclamation like Niners Cowboys week five, they're
both definitely.
Speaker 2 (41:00):
We're gonna be four. And oh their offense came to play.
Speaker 1 (41:02):
What I ask you because I watched that game with
pure confusion. It felt like Dak was confused the whole time.
The offensive line seemed a little shaky. They got they're
a little banged up. Am I missing something? And what
am I missing?
Speaker 4 (41:16):
I saw a tweet last night that said Dak is
the black Jimmy g. I was like, hey, wait a second,
it's my quarterback.
Speaker 1 (41:24):
I think you're you're witnessing a team that just took
their offense a little too light, and the Cardinals caught
him sleeping.
Speaker 2 (41:31):
I don't think they look past him.
Speaker 1 (41:32):
I think we're watching some of the highlights as we speak,
but you look past them.
Speaker 2 (41:36):
Because there was a point where that game.
Speaker 1 (41:38):
Was I believe fifty was it eighteenth. It was eighteen
ten at one point, and I was like, all right,
Cowboys are a touchdown at a two point conversion away from
like tying this game before halftime, And they just couldn't
move the ball, and then they gave the ball back
to the Cardinals and a field goal before halftime.
Speaker 2 (41:53):
It was twenty one to ten.
Speaker 1 (41:54):
I thought, you get off to a rough start against
a quote bad team, but then it's the NFL, so
you start saying, well, is anyone really that bad? Like
we're so quick to be like, oh, the Cardinals stink
and the Cowboys are a Super Bowl contender. These are
all National Football League players. No one's rolling over you
think the Cardinals believe that they stink and the Cowboys
are so great. I'll tell you what, they don't think that. Well,
(42:17):
we'll get to your phone calls next. A seven seven
ninety nine on Fox. Things that made you go, hmmm,
let's do it.
