This is how you know you've hit on something. You
don't even give the phone numbers out and people are
calling you. He's carried your own job, Dan Byer. Yes,
we are in for Cavino and Rich, but it's not
just us. On this Tuesday, Manzi Blanios is at the
news desk surveying the country on the question, the debate,
the dilemma that has us talking here at Fox Sports Radio.
(00:40):
What's happening in Manzy?
Speaker 3 (00:43):
Just trying to get my mic up, That's all.
Speaker 1 (00:44):
That's all right, Hey, Iowa. Sam's got other things to
worry about, like how is the poll question going online?
As it's Caitlin Clark the Aaron Judge. Hello, Iowa Sam. Hey.
Jason Stewart is here as well, our exact producer who
claimed that Caitlin Clark was more pop Live than Aaron Judge.
I completely disagreed you did, and that's where we are
right now here on Fox Sports Radio broadcasting lot for
(01:07):
the Tirec dot Com studios tyreck dot Com. We'll help
you get there. An unmatt selection, fast free shipping, free
road has a protection you over ten thousand recommended installers.

an update. Jason Stewart. Fox Sports Radio has put out the.
Speaker 3 (01:24):
Poll without me in it, So that's good.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
That actually gets engagement.
Speaker 3 (01:32):
I don't even know what I do here, but Cavino
and Richard tagged in. It's they're here. No they're not.
Speaker 1 (01:38):
Oh my gosh, excellent. Well you would have skewed the
numbers because monsis like I sent a text out to
all of her girlfriends right.
Speaker 4 (01:48):
Yes, who are not sports fans. Yes, you know, and
they all know who Caitlin Clark is.
Speaker 1 (01:54):
I thought one of them knew who Kaitlyn Clark was,
but the other ones had no idea.
Speaker 3 (01:58):
No, they all knew that Clark. One just says she
only knows her.
Speaker 4 (02:02):
Because of me, and then they all said they assume
Aaron Judge is an athlete.
Speaker 1 (02:06):
This is completely biased, This is just this is absurd,
like I get it from Iowa Sam and an extension
from you because Iowa Sam got you the shirt because
you treated Iowa Sam to something. So there's you know,
this back and forth of appreciation, right, I'm shocked by
(02:26):
Carrie and Jason. To be matter of fact, who's a
baseball guy. It's just this is this is you are
all prisoners of the moment like this there is I'm sorry,
it's you're a prisoner of what is happening right now
and what has happened over the last couple of months.
Speaker 5 (02:47):
Well, I don't want to be on this side. I
don't want to be on this side. I've been forced
into a corner. Have you ever seen You've heard the
term don't put baby in the corner?
Speaker 1 (02:56):
Yes, baby's in the corner now.
Speaker 5 (02:57):
Right we're surrounded by Iowa Sam and Moncy.
Speaker 1 (03:01):
You see this triangle right here.
Speaker 5 (03:03):
I am right dad in the middle, all right, And
so I have to listen and take the information and
put it in a nice package. And the package to
me says, right now, Caitlyn Clark is more famous, and
so I just have to go with that. Dan, I'm
I'm sorry, sorry, Aaron, all right, if you're listening.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
Jerry's Jerry's in. I'm If he's in Pennsylvania, he's in Lancaster.
If he's in California, it's in Lancaster. Jerry, welcome in
to Fox Sports Radio. I haven't even given out the
phone numbers, and you've already called in the wigh in
on this Kitlyn Clark Aaron Judge, do you have a
Sun speed dial? Jerry? Is that what we got? No?
Speaker 6 (03:43):
I just have you in my memory.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
Nice eight seven, seven, nine nine on Fox Jerry, what
side are you on him?
Speaker 6 (03:52):
On Kaitlyn Clark?
Speaker 7 (03:53):
Five?
Speaker 8 (03:53):
Do you have Darren?
Speaker 6 (03:54):
Aaron Judge is an All Star athlete, but Kitlin Clark.
Speaker 8 (03:59):
Is a feed.
Speaker 5 (04:01):
Oh all right, okay, all right, Jerry, Come on man,
you guys are so discrediting what Aaron Judge is.
Speaker 4 (04:11):
Not what we're doing, even if we are prisoners of
the moment, that can be true.
Speaker 3 (04:15):
And it could also be true that Caitlin Clark is
more famous.
Speaker 1 (04:18):
Aaron Judge has been getting MVP vote since twenty seventeen. Yes,
this is Bradley Cooper as a hot movie out and
so he would be more famous than Tom Cruise. That's
the that's the point. But Tom Cruise has got way
more and is way more famous than Bradley Cooper is.
But if Bradley Cooper had a movie out right now,
he would be considered, according to you guys, more famous
(04:41):
than Tom.
Speaker 3 (04:42):
This is no you're twisting what we're saying.
Speaker 1 (04:44):
I'm telling me what it is. Aaron Judges and season
after season after season he brought you sixty two home
runs in twenty twenty two. He's been the face of
the Yankees. In fact, he's been the new face of
the Yankees. He's the one that is actually outside of
you know Otani and his com like you know rise
(05:05):
and and how everybody has drawn to him. Yeah, Aaron
Judge is the guy in Major League Baseball. It's who
we wanted to see of the All Star Game and
has done it for a year after year after year
after year. Caitlyn Clark comes along for eighteen months and
all of a sudden she's more famous like that.
Speaker 5 (05:20):
Just that's unfair to Aaron Judge. Well, we'll talk about
the the best player. Obviously, we've had the discussion. I've
had it with Jason and he wanted to say Otani
was the best player in baseball, and I came back
with Judge, so I that's who I am. I know
that I have so much affinity for him and his
talent and him being a.
Speaker 1 (05:37):
Phenom, which he is.
Speaker 5 (05:39):
But all that being said, I still see her as
being more famous at the moment, that's all.
Speaker 4 (05:46):
It's like when I went around asking everybody who's more famous,
Lebron James or Taylor Swift, Taylor Swift, now here we
are in this moment, Kaitlyn Clark or Aaron Judge Clark.
Speaker 1 (05:55):
The Taylor Swift has also been around for a long time,
like Opera needed to build up her fan base. Kayla
Clark truly for his greatest story as she is, and
I know she was in Iowa at Iowa for four
years and was doing this o.
Speaker 2 (06:09):
Her fantom didn't just just come out of nowhere eighteen
months ago. It's been building for four years. But I
get what you're saying. Yeah, but it's been the last
eighteen months. And I'm even saying leading up to the
upset of South Carolina and beating and then losing the
LSU like I'm taking the months including that, I'm going
back to January February of twenty twenty three. That's where
(06:33):
I'm starting, And there was time before that where we
would see her maybe on a Sports Center Top ten list.
But I mean, this is Aaron freaking Judge of the
New York Yankees.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (06:44):
Yes, to us he is.
Speaker 4 (06:46):
To the average person, he is not. I think that's
what you have to look at, Like, we're not talking
to people who follow sports even a little bit. To us,
he is the man, Aaron Judge of the Yankees. To
the average per he's.
Speaker 1 (07:01):
Who the average person eighteen months ago was saying, who
who's doing this for?
Speaker 3 (07:06):
I Yes, that's true.
Speaker 1 (07:08):
That's why that's right. Yes, So there's gotta be some
equity built up for Aaron Judge for doing this year
after year after year.
Speaker 5 (07:15):
Man, if you say that one more time, we're gonna
You're right. No, like you are right. There's no question
about it, you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (07:23):
I gotta hear it for the next twelve minutes, because
that's why you guys are just you guys are just
prisoners of the moment.
Speaker 3 (07:29):
But even if we are, it's still it's still true.
Both can be true.
Speaker 2 (07:33):
I'm not speaking from my fandom. I think I'm just
speaking I think I'm just being realistic.
Speaker 1 (07:38):
Ray gun is more popular than Caitlyn Clark right now,
how about that, because that's all that we're talking about
is the Australian brand. But Sills, No, that's anticipates talk. No,
that's all that I see.
Speaker 3 (07:51):
Australian breakdancer.
Speaker 2 (07:52):
Like you couldn't use that flash in the pants. She's
a fifteen minute fame.
Speaker 9 (07:55):
No.
Speaker 1 (07:56):
When he first said, I thought you were talking about
weed be Gone.
Speaker 3 (07:58):
I literally was like, is this rag? Thoughts, like what
are we talking about?
Speaker 1 (08:01):
Yeah? The break Yeah, the breakdancer, you know, but Ronald Reagan.
But Mike is in North Carolina, Mike, welcome to Judge
versus Caitlyn here on Cavino and Rich Mike, North Carolina
going to, Hey, what's up, Mike?
Speaker 7 (08:20):
What's up?
Speaker 10 (08:21):
Man?
Speaker 11 (08:22):
Great shay Man. I wish you guys were going every night.
Speaker 1 (08:25):
Oh, thank you. I appreciate that. Thank you.
Speaker 11 (08:28):
You know, I think everybody's right. It is a president
of the moment. But at this moment, she is more
famous than Aaron Judge.
Speaker 9 (08:37):
Like she's not.
Speaker 11 (08:38):
She's not as famous as Tom Brady, she's not as
famous as Michael Jordan's. But at this moment in mainstream,
like who would TMZ cover if they were walking out
of a restaurant, her or Aaron Judge. You know what
I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (08:52):
Well, to Jason Stewart's point, when they were together at
the game, right, Katelyn, he feels that Caitlyn Clark was.
This is the interesting part of it because I look
at it as like Aaron Judge is welcoming Kitlyn Clark in,
and he's looking at it as like, here's Kaitlyn Clark,
the star of the show. There she is starring at
(09:13):
the Yankee game. And I don't look at it like that.
Like I look at it as like Aaron Judge is like, hey,
welcome to the class of superstars. I've been here for
a while. You may be new to all of this,
but welcome in because he's Aaron Judge. It's not like
they took Jazz Chisholm and had him welcomer exactly because
they're both new to the party. All right? Can I
(09:34):
offer one theory why show perspective? All know?
Speaker 2 (09:38):
I think I think that she taps A sports fan
is going to know who Kaitlyn Clark is and Aaron Judge,
but the average woman out there, I think you're tapping
into that demographic that a woman who's not a sports fan,
who's just looking at social media, she's going to see
Kaitlyn Clark splashed across her feed, and she's going to
root for Kaitlyn Clark because it's a woman doing cool
things in the WNBA and in college basketball. So I think,
(10:00):
do you have a broader audience now with the woman
female demographic.
Speaker 1 (10:04):
Terry is in Mississippi weighing in on Aaron Judge versus
Caitlyn Clark.
Speaker 12 (10:11):
Terry was Sam just made an excellent point, and I
promise not to curse on air. Uh No, Caitlin Cark
changed to the league. I don't think Aaron Judge did that,
So I'm gonna go with Caitlin.
Speaker 1 (10:28):
Aaron Judge made the Yankees the Yankees again. He's the reason,
like Aaron Judge is the reason that the Yankees are
the Yankees again, because there was a point that they
weren't being the Yankees and then Aaron Judge came along
and saved the day. Does j Stanton not get any
credit for that?
Speaker 10 (10:45):
Though?
Speaker 1 (10:46):
No, he doesn't. No, he really doesn't, because it's been
Aaron Judge. Aaron Judge has been the more consistent one
he's been the MVP. Sure, he's been the one.
Speaker 5 (10:55):
Yeah, but I also think what kind of saturates that
a little bit for Judge's calls or case it's the
Yankees have won so much and so there's a level
of that that he hasn't done. So when you talk
about changing the Yankees, the Yankees have been the Yankees.
They had a down moment, but what Caitlyn did for
the WNBA is still unparalleled.
Speaker 1 (11:16):
Yes, because the WNBA was Yeah, yes, exactly, So like
you're starting from from scratch, like there's there's not a
lot Judge can can do. Yes for the grand scheme
of the Yankees, but for what he's done over the
last seven years, I think, I mean he is over
(11:37):
the last seven years. Of top three baseball names you
are naming, Aaron Judge is one of those three. Whether
you want to do Trout, Harper, Judge, Otani, yes, Judge, Akuna,
whatever you want to do, Judges in.
Speaker 5 (11:52):
That top judges that has not way baseball right now, Dan, Yeah,
no question there you go right there.
Speaker 1 (11:58):
But still you're signing with Kitlyn. Yes, I am. Okay,
we're gonna go to North Dakota. Okay, this is Roger
Merris Country. Tim, if you vote for Caitlyn Clark, I
know you're kind of close to Iowa, but not really
close to Iowa. I don't know what I'm gonna do
with myself, Tim walk whom that com know and.
Speaker 6 (12:14):
Rich Well, I am from Iowa, but I would think
you keep hitting on the point. He's with the Yankees,
and a lot of people hate having the Yankees slam
down their throats, so it would be, Oh, I'd picked
(12:36):
Kate mcclark over the Yankee guy any day of the.
Speaker 1 (12:39):
Sure their haters.
Speaker 6 (12:41):
Tim, how many, how much he's done for baseball, that's
my series.
Speaker 1 (12:46):
Anyway, I'll tell you what two years ago and he
was hitting sixty two, he was the story. Yeah, and
there haven't been a lot of great stories in baseball.
These stories that we've talked about have been cheating, gambling,
pitch clock and injuries. And the only one that we're
talking about actually in a positive way is been Aaron
Judge and Joy Otani when he's not maybe gambling, that's
(13:08):
another story. Joe's in Montana, Hi perfect Joe Montana and
there was Joe. Welcome to Fox Sports.
Speaker 10 (13:20):
We don't have baseball, and we don't have the w NBA.
And the only reason that you know, I even know
about the w NBA is because of Katal and Clark.
But Judge is mister baseball and we've heard about them
for seven years. And they're again like, we don't have
a baseball team over here. But I sure as heck
know who he is and what he's doing done for,
(13:43):
you know, the league. Minus the fact that he's playing
for the Yankees. People might not like the Yankees because
of whatever, but he is still a huge He's bringing
a big hitters back into the league without steroids, you
know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (13:58):
Yes, yes, yes, and so I.
Speaker 10 (14:00):
I'm all for what he's doing. And Kaitlin Bark's popular
right now, but it's short lived and in six months,
I think it'll be.
Speaker 1 (14:09):
Yeah, let's have this in six months. Let's have this
conversation as not going andwhere in six months. But you know,
long long Deby does.
Speaker 2 (14:16):
Matter for sure, you know it would certainly helped Aaron
Judge is making it to a World Series. He's he's
been there since what year in that it would he's
been to I think since twenty seventeen. They've made three
ALCS appearances. Yes, and they haven't moved past that. And
I think him getting to a World Series and winning
one would be Uh what.
Speaker 1 (14:36):
Would be a bigger impact help him? Him going to
a World Series or Kaitlyn Clark to the WNBA finals.
Speaker 5 (14:42):
Him to the World Series. But then there's one thing
about this on another national scale. Have you seen Judge
in any big time commercials anything on the national level.
Speaker 3 (14:54):
Didn't he have one? Research?
Speaker 1 (14:56):
But you got to think about it.
Speaker 2 (14:57):
I do have to think about it balance or you
read in one of those I think I swear.
Speaker 1 (15:02):
But that's also.
Speaker 5 (15:03):
Crazy part about it, Like I don't understand why he
isn't getting more fame as a more fame because of
the way he plays the clean image. So that's another
discussion as well. I wonder where that's where that's going.
Speaker 1 (15:16):
Does Judge get any points that other people in baseball
don't hate him? Is there any points just getting that
was a joke? Nick is in Vermont. Nick, welcome to
Judge versus Caitlyn here on Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 7 (15:31):
Hey guys, thank you so much for having me on.
I just want to say, while I don't pick favorites,
I got a.
Speaker 10 (15:37):
Hollow to my girl mum' see I love.
Speaker 9 (15:39):
Hearing you on the air.
Speaker 1 (15:41):
Ye completely yeah.
Speaker 7 (15:44):
Totally unbiased, which also leads me to my next point,
which also again has nothing to do with being biased.
I think I'm going to air on the side of Caitlyn,
and I think it really comes down to the point
of relevancy. A lot of people are saying a lot
of good things, but I think when if we were
having this conversation when Aaron was having his big home
run year, he's in his contract talks, he's trying to
make a point to the Yankees. Sure Aaron would sleep
(16:06):
all day, but right now you have a hole league
that's on a rise based on the shoulders of Caitlin Clark,
and Aaron has kind of faded into the background because
there's other younger names and he's just you know, the
Yankees aren't really doing anything. So as someone who watches
a lot of sports and I don't pay attention to
baseball or the WNBA equally, I would say that if
(16:27):
you put their two photos next to each other, I'd
recognize Caitlyn Clark long before I recognized that was Aaron
Judge if he wasn't wearing the Yankees uniform. And I
guess that's my two cents.
Speaker 1 (16:37):
Yeah, I appreciate it. Nice, Nick, appreciate it. Do you
want to do you want to call any friends or
family members to call in Monty. You've got a Monty fan.
She texted her girlfriends. But see, I think that's oh
she knows Nick too for sure. Job.
Speaker 3 (16:52):
That's the thing is I feel like that.
Speaker 4 (16:54):
To really find out who is fame, miss, you ask
people who are not into sports, right, who are not
paying attention to the everyday sports stories.
Speaker 3 (17:03):
That's how you find out who is actually more famous.
Speaker 4 (17:06):
And we've had Preller forever responding to us, and he
makes perfect sense. The talk to a girl was the
most famous person in America for how long?
Speaker 3 (17:13):
Now she's gone.
Speaker 4 (17:14):
But like fame comes and goes, and it's not for
the reasons you think that they maybe should be famous for.
You know, he brought up Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton
like they were also famous.
Speaker 3 (17:25):
For their own things.
Speaker 4 (17:27):
So it's just like, right now, Caitlin Clark is more
famous right now their.
Speaker 1 (17:32):
Own things, is right? For sure?
Speaker 3 (17:35):
Leave it at that.
Speaker 1 (17:35):

You have a poll update. Jason Stewart on this the question.
Speaker 13 (17:53):
The votes are just coming in fast and furious on
the pole that I did not tag Mont yet. Who
is more famous US right now? Aaron Judge or Kaitlyn Clark?
Right now it's running seventy one percent Kaitlyn Clark with
three hundred and thirty votes, And I want to say.
John Alguero, who's listening, responded to the poll with nobody
(18:14):
cares stupid questions. Thank you, John, But.
Speaker 4 (18:18):
When you comment, you indicate that you do care, of course,
like why are people don't comment?
Speaker 3 (18:25):
You keep scrolling when you don't care.
Speaker 1 (18:26):
The opposite of love is not hate, right, but three
hundred empathy, three.
Speaker 5 (18:30):
Hundred and thirty votes in a couple of minutes, we'll
say that people are caring.
Speaker 1 (18:34):
Dan Echols tweets in great first name, awful take here, Darren,
You're missing the point. Judge may be more talented and established,
but popularity has nothing to do with that. Caitlyn's Clark's
popularity spans across society, sports fans, women and kids. Then
why didn't this happen two years ago? Why has it
only been eighteen months? Judge has been carrying this on
his back for seven years. Ah, he's carried outs. I'm
(18:58):
Dan Byer, hit Manci up at Myanci Blanos. I had
to tell you that because she was not again included
in the tweet that was sent out. Jason gave me
crap for spelling her name wrong once in its week,
so I can return serve with that.
Speaker 3 (19:12):
And then Jason tells me to retweet it because I
didn't put you on it? Can you retweet it?
Speaker 1 (19:16):
Goodness at Jason Stewart at IOSAM ninety nine.
Speaker 14 (19:20):

Speaker 1 (19:33):
It's Covino and Rich here on Fox Sports Radio. He's
Kerrie Rhoades, I'm Dan Byer. We pause our debate. Well Benson,
who you may know of producing fame here at Fox
Sports Radio says, where's Angel Reese? Aaron Judged didn't need
Angel Reese. Right, guys, huh, Carol Lot look at their
(19:54):
TV ratings for their games. Caitlin is on all news outlets.
Grandma's and kids know who she is. Man, I'll tell
you what. And Larry tweets in Bobby Baseball. I don't
even know what that means. I mean, I have no
idea what that means, but I'm gonna take it as
a vote for my side. Sure, I don't have a
(20:17):
vote for Dan in the electoral map of calls. I've
got Montana, I think, and I lost Vermont, and I
had North Dakota, Montana and North Dakota, so I've got
like six electoral votes. Right. Yes, Our good buddy r
(20:38):
J Young joining the show now to talk some college football.
Speaker 10 (20:41):
You know.
Speaker 1 (20:42):
RJ is the college football on Fox analyst and host
of the number one show on Fox Sportsofoxsports dot Com. RJ,
We're going to get into the college stuff. I don't
know if our executive producer Jason Stewart filled you in
on the debate we've just had over the last twenty minutes,
but I do need your opinion. Who's more famous Aaron
Judge of the Yankees or Caitlyn Clark.
Speaker 8 (21:05):
Kaitlyn Clark, here are they supposed to be?
Speaker 1 (21:10):
My god, J there you go, man. I love the honesty.
It's it's very black and white, right, you know.
Speaker 9 (21:18):
It's it's also a baseball versus women's basketball. Women's basketball
is very much having a moment right now. The last
moment that Aaron Judge had. I had to tell folks
that that man was chasing Marris and people were like,
who where Kayln Clark? To say that, it's like, oh, yeah,
I know her.
Speaker 8 (21:34):
To why girl from Iowa didn't make all them freeze that?
Speaker 1 (21:36):
There you go, You guys just prisoners of the moments.
I am telling you all right. At this moment, Georgia
is the top ranked team in the country, but not
in your eyes RJ.
Speaker 14 (21:48):
Young.
Speaker 1 (21:49):
Your one to one thirty four is out. Why does
the Associated Press think Georgia is the best and you
do not?
Speaker 9 (21:57):
I'm not sure why is the Associated Press and think
that Ohio State is the best. But you know what,
I was six weeks ahead of them, ranking Michigan number
one last year.
Speaker 8 (22:06):
Before they decided to get on the good foot with.
Speaker 9 (22:08):
Me, and that ended up being the way it ended,
all right.
Speaker 8 (22:10):
So I'm just gonna say they're slow.
Speaker 9 (22:12):
They're slow. But I think one of the things that
I was trying to protect against is I.
Speaker 8 (22:17):
Expect Ohio State to go for broke.
Speaker 9 (22:19):
I expect November thirtieth to be the only game that
matters until January twentieth. And that's what they have been
building towards. Even knowing what Georgia has, you don't really
know what they.
Speaker 8 (22:30):
Have, you know what I mean?
Speaker 9 (22:31):
Like, you know they got Kirby Smart, you know they
got Carson Beck. But I got a hard time with
people even going, hey, do you know who the best
player on Georgia's defense is? And they can't tell me.
Speaker 8 (22:39):
They can only tell me that Georgia defense is going
to be good.
Speaker 9 (22:42):
We'll find out if that matters.
Speaker 8 (22:43):
But you take a look at the schedule.
Speaker 9 (22:44):
My goodness, guys, I see at least.
Speaker 8 (22:47):
Two offices on that schedule.
Speaker 7 (22:48):
I don't.
Speaker 9 (22:49):
I should also say I don't think anybody's going undefeated,
but George is up against it.
Speaker 8 (22:53):
That said, we all agree on who's going to be
in the National Championship game.
Speaker 1 (22:55):
On the on the Ohio State side of things, how
concerned are you about their offensive line? And we know
about their defensive ends. We know about JTT, we know
about Jack Sawyer, we know about these guys. What about
the interior of their defense? Any of that concern you?
Because it has been a week spot Michigan's taking advantage
(23:16):
of it aline interior defense. Are they going to be
able to I don't know, maybe overcome some of the
issues that they've had the last couple of years despite
all of the firepower that they've got everywhere else.
Speaker 9 (23:27):
They believe they're going to be better on the interior
offensive line than they were last year, which would help
them considerably. But I don't know how putting snap set
McLaughlin at starting center is going to make you better.
I got to can't that football to the quarterback as
a propt That's.
Speaker 8 (23:40):
One two is you still.
Speaker 9 (23:42):
Got a hole at left guard that you've got to fill.
You don't know exactly who it's going to be, but
you feel good about some of the guys that could
be there. To the overarching point, I think this is
why Chick Kelly has the job called and plays for
Ohio State now and why we're probably going to see
Will Howard starting more games than most people think. At quarterback,
You're going to try to find a way to run
to waste from that when you can. And that's why
you guy guys like Quinn, Shawn Jackins and Traveon Henderson.
(24:04):
The backfield is to try to make up for that.
I don't know that it's going to be a deal
more ward winning offensive life, right, but I don't think
it has to be. I think it just has to
be good enough to convince you that they can run
the ball effectively. If they can do that, then the
past world will take care of yourself.
Speaker 5 (24:18):
All right, our jay, we got a little beef now.
So I just checked out your list, and you have
a team that I have a very fond, fond, fond
nature to kind of a little lord, and I would
have just would have expected you to have them. I
got you got Louisville Cardinals at thirty five. Tell me
about why they're rated in that in that area for
yourself and not a little bit higher.
Speaker 8 (24:39):
Mart filled me in as to your affiliation. You got
kid on the team, you nephew, I went to Louisville.
Speaker 9 (24:45):
Oh see, they're unbiased here at Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 8 (24:50):
May mean out again.
Speaker 9 (24:51):
I gets somebody who's a daddy gonna tell me that
you you.
Speaker 8 (24:53):
Down on my team, like, hey, come on.
Speaker 9 (24:56):
Now, you know, but it's it's one of those where
I did not expect the season Louisville had last year
to be the shoot season that they had.
Speaker 8 (25:04):
Right. I understand they get better. I understand that. I
understand why you might feel that way about.
Speaker 9 (25:08):
Asking you it, right, I get that, Yes, but Tyler
Schuck needs to play an entire season without feeling like
he's going to fall apart.
Speaker 8 (25:17):
I said the same thing about Quhenn. You were detective.
Speaker 9 (25:19):
Give me an entire season your quarterback play where you
are healthy. That said, does he have the goods to
run that office? Absolutely? I also think that you're in
a conference that got better without people knowing about it.
Speaker 8 (25:30):
Because you'll notice I got Southern Methodists right there next
to you.
Speaker 9 (25:33):
Yeah, and that's not a gig, that's that's who we are.
That's so other Methodist is good, Louisville is good. Are
they good enough to be a top twenty five team?
We'll find out by October.
Speaker 1 (25:43):
Here's the amazing thing about r J. Young. You're not
going to do any radio shows outside of Louisville, Kentucky
that are going to ask you about Louisville. And he
came guns a blazer, ready to go. Yeah, let's see
how you do about one fifteen in Nevada. No, just
kidding that is where Nevada is about, just kiddingding about that.
I do want to stand the ACC though, since you
mentioned it, you do have Florida State fifth. They obviously
(26:07):
you've got some sour feelings from last year. AP doesn't
have them as high as you. Why are you higher
on Florida State than maybe others are?
Speaker 9 (26:15):
Jay, and you know better than most people.
Speaker 8 (26:20):
I walk around whether it's equally balanced, with a chip on.
Speaker 9 (26:22):
Both shoulders, and it powers me through a lot. I
was telling anybody that was listen last year that Florida
State ain't plagued nobody, right, but they should be in
the national or give me in the college football playoffs
if they win the ACC and run.
Speaker 7 (26:35):
The table undefeated.
Speaker 6 (26:36):
Right.
Speaker 1 (26:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (26:37):
I don't believe that losing.
Speaker 9 (26:38):
Your starting quarterback voids that guarantee.
Speaker 8 (26:41):
And that's what we did. We convinced the kids that
court warks don't matter.
Speaker 9 (26:45):
Winning every game you play doesn't matter, and we've taken
that from them, and I think Florida State wants to
take it back. I think that Mike Norvell did what
Lane Kiffin did. He went into the portal and he
throwed out the best and the brightest, telling you man,
the way that people talking about Jared Burst you got, I.
Speaker 8 (27:00):
Have not seen Patrick Payton yet. That man is a terror.
Speaker 9 (27:03):
Fintraild Cyprus is not a guy you're gonna throw on.
It's dj Ui Ung La La can live up to
the building of being the second best player in the
twenty twenty class behind right Jung.
Speaker 8 (27:12):
Who's in the NFL now whin a Heisman Trophy.
Speaker 9 (27:15):
They got everything they need and they're going to get.
Speaker 8 (27:17):
Opportunities to show that.
Speaker 9 (27:18):
On the road against Southern Methodist is going to be
a really good test for them.
Speaker 8 (27:21):
And then later in the year they got one of
the games I think it's going.
Speaker 9 (27:24):
To shape the college football playoff picture against Notre Dame.
And there's everything to play for there because the Wilongila
has not led anybody to a conference championship. And now
for the state.
Speaker 8 (27:35):
Note that ain't good enough.
Speaker 9 (27:36):
Now it's a twelve team playoffs, but that's how they're
going to operate. They're going to operate us if you
will leave us out, because you left us out before.
I'm buying into that. I'm buying into the hate here.
I'm buying into we're playing against everybody else because that's
where I'm from. Now other people might not, but that's
what makes them a top five team to me, as
opposed to on top fifteen team to me.
Speaker 5 (27:55):
They're going to put you on the spot right now,
name your twelve team playoff right now? If the season
plays out the way you think it is, who would
be your twelve right now?
Speaker 9 (28:06):
I mean, I don't know if Dan got top of this, but.
Speaker 1 (28:10):
We could take care you just name the name the team. Well, yeah, Dan,
go ahead. It was just good. You got Ohio State
in Georgia winning the two leagues in the Big ten.
In the SEC, you're at Florida State of the ACC
right right. And then in the the Big twelve. I'm
looking at the rankings here. This is the funny thing
is this is the adjustment in figuring out all right, okay,
(28:33):
utah in at number twelve, right, there would be your
four buys essentially, So does that sound good?
Speaker 10 (28:41):
So far? N right? Right?
Speaker 9 (28:43):
And then I think you pizilin the teams that are
playing in the conference championship games and the power four
right because if let's say Ohio State is playing Oregon,
we're gonna think Oregon is the top twelve TEA. They're
probab getting that large sure, right, Georgia is probably playing Texas.
Speaker 10 (28:58):
Right, I probably think they get in that large yep.
Speaker 9 (29:00):
And then we're talking about maybe Clinton depending on what
they do against Georgia. If they if they beat Georgia,
I'm willing to pimple them in as that team that's
played in the Confience Championship game against a SEC in
the AEC.
Speaker 7 (29:15):
We're getting to the go ahead.
Speaker 1 (29:17):
I was just going to say this because I'm sure
you're gonna have a post about it before the season
of what your prediction is going to be. We'll just
say this, does Notre Dame make the top twelve. Does
Notre Dame make your playoff bracket?
Speaker 9 (29:27):
Not unless they run the tables.
Speaker 8 (29:30):
That's the question. I'm glad you cut.
Speaker 9 (29:32):
To the chase on that they got to win every
game they play, okay, because they they don't play much
to nobody.
Speaker 8 (29:38):
This seeds this okay. They got Florida State. One mentioned, they.
Speaker 9 (29:40):
Got f C, and they got A.
Speaker 8 (29:42):
And M to open everybody else.
Speaker 9 (29:43):
They ought to be favored to win. Now, I think
that Notre Dame should suffer for not joining a conference.
I think if you don't play for a conference championship,
and we have now said it is important to us
that you play conference championship because we're given automatic qualifyings
and we're getting bids to the highest lane conference champion.
And you choose to say not, we good. You live
(30:04):
with that. So if you got one luck against that SCFPN,
I don't want to hear from you. If you got
one luck against Florida State, I don't want to hear
from you. If you lose an opener to a team
I struggled putting to the top twenty five in A
and M, but you know I did it. I've got to.
Speaker 8 (30:17):
Hold that against you.
Speaker 9 (30:18):
So run the table. Don't be who you claim to
be Notre Dame.
Speaker 8 (30:22):
Until then, I don't want to hear about it.
Speaker 9 (30:24):
I think that's about you go to a third team
in the Big Ten or the SEC, depending on how the.
Speaker 8 (30:29):
Rest of schedule breaks.
Speaker 1 (30:31):
You know, it is funny because I do feel that
Notre Dame has had this leverage since the beginning of
time with college football. But those four buys really do
swing the table. To tell a Notre Dame you may
have to you may have to get into a league.
It's it's the first time where really they've kind of
been put the pressure on them because it's going to
be a tough road to haul. If you've got to
sit there and be a five to six seed and
(30:52):
win those extra games, yeah, I think it's going to
be a lot. And if there's anything to push them
into a league full time, that would do it. He's
our j on. Get him on X at RJ Underscore Young.
We're throwing everything at you, RJ. And you went a
perfect ten for ten so that was amazing. Can't wait
to have you o Morris. The season approaches and we'll
talk to you against soon. Man.
Speaker 9 (31:12):
Thanks Daniel the Man, Thanks so much.

(31:48):
while though, right Jason Stewart, our executive producer, you gotta
be up for twenty four hours, all right, So twenty
four hours from now we will know the ultimate numbers.
It does not look good for me right now. No
will think that we have to We have to respect
the longevity of Aaron Judge and just the the the
lightning the lightning strike aspect of Caitlyn Clark right now
(32:11):
is just twisted too many minds.
Speaker 5 (32:13):
Let's just make sure we check all Dan accounts, make
sure he doesn't have a whole bunch of you know,
faith accounts out there and he just goes and spams
the No.
Speaker 1 (32:22):
You think you think, make sure we check that guy.
You think my life with a three year old has
enough time to go in and doctor the numbers of
our poll question? Yes, it depends. Yeah, how serious it
gets my style? Nazi's tweeting her friends who only know
Caitlyn Clark because she has a Caitlin Clark shirt. Ioway,
(32:43):
Sam is weinghing in on this and I'm the biased one.
I just feel like I'm rapping for Cavino. That's all
there you go. Hey, congrats to Kevin M from brook

The way tire buying should be. The Will Levis Mayonnaise
(33:26):
love affair went to a whole new level earlier today.
And here's a little if you will taste of what
we're talking about.
Speaker 2 (33:41):
They drive to define you, but you are the ingredient
to your own success.
Speaker 15 (33:56):
Washes and it's alick spell my greatness. Will levels number
eight powerful than mayonnaise.
Speaker 1 (34:13):
His love of mayonnaise has been taking to a whole
new level. There's been a lot around will Lovis this
off season. Maybe the Mayo will end up covering it all.
Are you a fan of Mayo?
Speaker 5 (34:23):
No?
Speaker 1 (34:24):
I am not either. Is there a marketing campaign that
still sticks in your mind thirty years later, twenty years later,
ten years later that could have the effect of this
does for will Lovis? Well?
Speaker 5 (34:36):
Yes, the Chucky super commercials when I was playing with
when they invited the moms on, Oh yes, do the deal?
Speaker 1 (34:43):
That was special? Those? Are you a part of that?
Speaker 5 (34:46):
I wasn't a part of it home, but when I
saw it it was it was pretty Quanci Blanos.
Speaker 1 (34:51):
Maybe Caitlyn Clark in like Gator eight or something.
Speaker 3 (34:54):
No, you know what I was thinking.
Speaker 4 (34:55):
I'd think I was understanding the original topic here. But
I always think about campaign. I think about Carls Junior
with the hot women and the burger and it's like drippy.
They're like on a hot car and like it drips,
and then they're like, oh to me, I don't know
why we don't do those anymore?
Speaker 3 (35:10):
Like why don't we do those games?
Speaker 1 (35:12):
Because everybody was hungry for hamburgers after that? For sure,
I wanted I.
Speaker 3 (35:17):
Wanted a car or whatever.
Speaker 1 (35:21):
I'll tell you what campaign. I loved Little Penny Yeah,
you know, like way back in the day, the Penny
hardaway one. Yeah yeah, yes, yes, uh yeah. You know
you could do Jordans obviously Jordan had a lot Jordan
and Bird and the McDonald's trick shot one was always
like that commercial that. I mean everybody would just do
it as well. Obviously got milk.
Speaker 3 (35:41):
Yes, with the with the mustache, yeah, got milk, all
the like. Famous people don't take a little yeah.
Speaker 1 (35:48):
Yeah, I'll tell you what Chick fil a like and
is you're going to talk about. Out of the Sports Realm.
Gotten a lot of Mila John Cow's, you know, because
it's the chicken cut like that, Like it's a it's
a it's a tricky, smart way of doing it. And
they've got a lot of mileage off of eating more chicken.
That's right with the Cows, It's it's brilliant. But Will
Levis and the Mayo, which I'm not a fan of either.
(36:10):
I'm not a huge fan of condiments. I think it's
well known on this network Mayo is not one of them.
I got a chicken sandwich the other day. They put
pickles on it. Yeah, right, it's exactly what I did it. Really,
I'm not. I'm not mad at the pickle. Here's the thing, though,
if you don't like pickles, you can't just take the
pickle off, right, agreed.
Speaker 3 (36:31):
Agreed.
Speaker 4 (36:31):
I don't eat meat. And if there is bacon on
my burger, I don't mind. I'll just take the bacon off,
no problem. Like on my veggie burger. You know sometimes
they mess it up.
Speaker 3 (36:37):
I don't mind, I'll just take it off. I have
no problem. You put a pickle on my bird.
Speaker 1 (36:41):
Yeah, I'm sending it back the pickle juice, Yes, send
it back this place. I called them up and said,
you put pickles on my sandwich. I need a new one,
and they said bring it back, which they really can't accept.
So I'm pretty sure the guys you made it just
went and ate the salad they brought back. I bet
I spin on it all right. Our final poll numbers,
(37:01):
I'm sorry, I always have to do something. What is
if you have a condiment that you do like? What
is it? I'm barbecue sauce. I'm okay with that. Yeah.
Speaker 13 (37:09):
Final poll numbers, jeez, seventy seventy two percent. Kaitlin Clark,
it's been pretty consistent seventy two seventy five percent range.
Speaker 1 (37:16):
Sorry Dan, Wow, Maybe we'll just kick out air Judge
and find a new candidate and our numbers will rise. No,
you cannot. You got to. You gotta ride with us.
These carry roads fine to make Carrie twenty five roads.
I'm Dan Byer, hitting me up at Dan Byer on Fox.
We've been hanging out for Cavino and Rich They're in
for DP tomorrow. We'll talk to you tomorrow here on
