Speaker 1 (00:19):
Oh yeah, buddy, I hope you're having a Tom Brady
sort today.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
Seventy five million to play flag football.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
That's what I'm here, you know, That's what a portnoy
is saying.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
And I can't argue that it's probably not far off
because every star of the NFL, coaches, players are all like,
I'm in.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
I'm in. No one's in.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Brady's saying it's b unless they're getting tons of money.
I guarantee they're getting tens of millions. Oh guaranteed he's
getting paid. You think you think Saquon and McCaffrey and
all these guys are quick to say yes if they
weren't getting.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
Paid, Well, there is an update. Well I'll give it
to you.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
But we're Covino and Rich Fox Sports Radio on a
Taco Tuesday show time on Home Trivia coming up, and
we be rocking out. Thank you guys for being here. Hey,
and this isn't just a game, Oh, it's a once
in a generation event, the Harlem Globetrotters one hundred Year Tour.
Come be a part of the legacy that never stops.

(01:14):
Be there when history's made. The Harlem Globetrotters one hundred
Year Tour. Get your tickets today at Harlem Globetrotters dot com.
I think Mike runs this place. Was at the very
first game. I believe he was, Yes, in nineteen twenty five.
Mike was there and Iowa Sam. I was shocked when
I found out he was a fencer. And if you
ever want to be like Iowa Sam trying Olympic and

(01:34):
Paralympic sports, try fencing. It's fast, safe and easy to start.
Find a beginner class near you at USA Fencing dot
org slash try fencing. That's USA Fencing dot org slash
try fencing. Now here's the update. But that Io Sam
has his fencing helmet on and his updating profile.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
Yeah it's a good look. My name is Javier and
I am so.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
Portnoy says, and he's doubling down that Brady's getting paid
seventy five million dollars from the Saudi Arabians to play
flag football, and Brady responded, are we just picking numbers
out of a hat and reporting them? And while we're
breaking news, Elvis is doing the halftime show and Babe
Ruth is going to sign.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
Some motographs for fans.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
And Brady also continued, I heard Dave prefers floppy pizza
now that we're on it, so he's saying that's not true.
They got to be getting paid a lot, though maybe
not seventy five mil. But Portnoy is saying that's the
number he was told. I'm sure Brady's getting paid, dude,
It's not seventy five. When you hear like, oh, Beyonce
did some you know Sheikh's kids sweet sixteen, you know

(02:43):
the numbers substantial? Oh yeah, oh yeah, I mean when
you hear all of their while I'm sure and we
the fans, I guess, and viewers if we get to see,
I'm sure reap all the benefits of this. But yeah,
it'll be fun. So anyway, I hope you're having that
kind of day, not a Mike Gundy who got fired
sort of day. I hope you have his hairline though
his amazing cooff. That's pretty cool. He's blessed by the

(03:03):
hair gods. Can I ask you a couple quickie questions
real quick in the store? And then I got a
question about Daniel Jones. So we talk Daniel Jones. We'll
take some feedback, some phone calls. First of all, if
you live that mom or dad life, I want to
direct you to a video while you're following us on
our Fox Sports Radio Kavin on Rich YouTube page. If
you go to my Instagram at Rich Davis, if you're

(03:23):
living that mom or dad life, it's like my favorite video.
So it's my opportunity for a second to just, you know,
talk about my kid for ten seconds. My daughter got
her first hit off of kid pitch, and when she
gets the first base, when you see the excitement when
she pumps her fish.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
She's like, let's go. She's eight. It's what sports is
all about. It really is. It's like why we love
sports so much. That's why we love sports.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
When you see a little kid get their first hit,
when they first play kid pitch, or you see your
kid make their first three pointer, you know, your kid's
first touchdown. These are the moments they give a young
kid commendation. Man, it really does, dude. I've been riding
off little league confidence all this way, this whole time.
If you don't think we joke about it. But if
you don't think Cavino's little league home run prowess gave

(04:09):
him confidence.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
It absolutely did.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
So if you go at Rich Davis, I posted the video.
My daughter got a hit and watching her excitement makes
us all realize why we love sports. And while you're
a little vulnerable and happy because it's a nice video,
can you I know you're gonna end up winning this bet.
I'm gonna owe you at least fifteen hundred to two
thousand dollars. Shit, that's mess, Yankees bet? Can you for
the Mets to make the playoffs just for the week?

(04:32):
Can you like I would like to find it in
your heart? Of course, I would love to see the
Mets make the playoffs. They need the Reds. I never
hated the Mets. They need to outplay the Reds by
one game. And all of a sudden, the biggest Pittsburgh
Pirates fan Skeens is going tomorrow. I'm in my mind,
I'm like, come on, we don't want Pirates. We don't
want you left out of the fun. Oh oh, Danny,
G and Dan. We're all excited about the playoffs. We

(04:54):
don't want you to. I don't want to be the
fade out. I don't want to be Weenie in the
room and DB's got his Brewers head on, and you
were Dodgers and Yankees.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
I want to be involved, guys. I mean, you're always
the weani in the room. But yeah, I'm running for
your man. It's not Dann Bayer.

Speaker 3 (05:07):
I just I love that video and how great is it.
I don't know, Kevino, how many of the twenty seven
home runs you have on video, but I'm guessing not
all twenty seven, not.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
Even a single one.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
Yes, yeah, so it could be fake. Yeah, that's that's amazing.
And I'm sure And I don't know if you guys
have experienced this because our athletic careers ended a long,
long time ago. But you still remember what the ball
looks like coming at you when you had a big
hit or what it was. So Suld probably remember what
that softball was looking like coming into the strike zone

(05:38):
when she hit it.

Speaker 4 (05:38):
So I remember some of the voices too, from your dugout,
your coach or family.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
And the video of my daughter Emmy.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
The reason I'll bring it up is because we're all
allowed to be proud parents with our kids. It just
you know, we've been doing coach pitch and she did
t ball. This was her first time where some girl
was throwing some heat and she because when the kids walk,
then the coach comes in to do coach pitch and.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
That's so much when they're that age.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
So when she got her first hit off another kid,
she was so fired off.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
Flexes flex is the first I've never seen this side
of my daughter. And she goes, let's go, and I'm like,
who is this kid? Yeah? She has uh more at
forums than you do.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
She was like, really was this music playing in the background, Yes,
should have been. You should do a little mona and
she does a little where the tornado, a little flexing
like Freddie Freeman.

Speaker 4 (06:26):
I know.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
So again at Rich Davis and of course follow us
on the YouTube. We're live now doing video every day.
And as little much that she did the worm to
first base though that wasn't that much, but yeah, yeah,
and then she moon walked a second was happy. That
was a little much, but aside from that was great, right,
so let's let's get to Daniel Jones talked about Dart
right and and the risks involved there.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
There's a lot of risk reward.

Speaker 2 (06:51):
You're risking ruining this guy's confidence and career and foundation
and start to his career. But he could turn it
on and make the giantsy contender. Like Skataboo, he looked good.
There's like there's things that that look good for the Giants.
Maybe he steps up. Like Danny g said, you saw c. J.

(07:11):
Straud two years ago, you saw Jaden Daniels last year.
It's not wild to think a young quarterback could see
early Samas. The Giants they're like a bad woman, you know,
they're known to ruin.

Speaker 4 (07:24):
A good guy.

Speaker 2 (07:24):
I know.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
So yeah, I mean Scataboo. Look what they did the
Daniel Jones.

Speaker 2 (07:28):
Scataboo, Malik Neighbors, Jackson Dart. I almost feel like you
have you you almost have this the framework and some
of the skeletal pieces to what the Giants building towards.
There's a lot of potential there. You don't want to
rush it a line. You need some mother weapon. There's
there's still a lot of work to be done in
New York, in the meadowlands. But this should be interesting,
Jackson Dart, it's risk reward. I think the kids got

(07:51):
he's got some what are they called moxie.

Speaker 1 (07:54):
I think he's got some.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
I think he's the type that wouldn't be ruined if
he didn't have success at first.

Speaker 1 (08:00):
I think he's got some.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
Waveless okay, But Daniel Jones was also in that situation
and it just never worked, never clicked, never the right
fit for this guy and his potential. He goes to Indiana.
Now he's Indiana Jones. He's no longer Daniel Jones. He's
Indiana Jones. And his numbers are comparable, like dead on

(08:21):
to Josh Allen. So he went from guys struggling in
New York with the Giants to Josh Allen like numbers.
He went from this guy stinks to oh wow, Daniel
Jones is a really good NFL quarterback. But did you
really think that he's stunk or did you think he
was in a weak ass situation? To be honest, I
was sort of torn because, as we all watch football closely,

(08:41):
there were moments where you're like, yo, this guy's got
some good football instincts. He's quick in the pocket when
he needs to be. I just thought that, Yeah, maybe
he was circumstantial. Well, you know, it's a life lesson
and we say it all the time. Maybe you're just
in a bad situation and you need to move somewhere else.

Speaker 1 (08:58):
That's life. That's what the people say.

Speaker 2 (09:00):
And the story here is Saquon Barkley, who also got
a second chance, won a Super Bowl, became the man
on another team. They were teammates on the Giants, and
Saquon says he's rooting for his former QB.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
In fact, he has a pretty good quote did say
did you want him say?

Speaker 2 (09:16):
Outside of the Philadelphia Eagles and myself, I don't want
anyone else to perform at a high level besides Daniel Jones,
I find out to be really nice and endearing.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
That's really sweet. Well, they battled together in New York.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
They sort of battled and failed together in New York,
but they both believed that there was more to this
and more to their careers than what was in New York.
He found success with the Eagles, and he's wishing his
buddy success in Indiana.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
But that's it because he has.

Speaker 2 (09:43):
Respect for him, and honestly, that carries a lot of clout,
as the kiddos say, even though it's a word, carries
a lot of clout with me. Like man Saquan is
saying he's wishing him well. That also implies that he
always knew he was better than what was reflected in
New York, and it also reminds you that and that
he's a good dude. It also reminds you that there
was a really good relationship between Daniel Jones and Saquon

(10:05):
and they were probably almost commiserating together, like we know,
we got something, why isn't it working?

Speaker 1 (10:11):
And then they go other places and it works.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
It's and I think that's a very relatable sort of thing,
you know, people that start out out together, Like there's
dudes I root for that. I started out in radio together.
And I see they're doing like my buddy Rusuto does
mornings in Saint Louis. Yeah, we started radio together, man,
seeing him kick ass and Saint Louis and run that
city mornings and Saint Louis, Like, I'm happy to see

(10:33):
that because I know where we started. And I feel
like that's a really relatable sort of thing that Saquon
and Jones bond over together. And I was really nice
to Saquon Barkley to say that he wishes him well.
I think as a coworker and even as a fan,
I think you could say there's people you came up with,
you came up with in your career that exactly that
you would root for. Even though they might not be
in the same company as you, they might be a competitor,

(10:56):
you do root for them.

Speaker 1 (10:57):
And I think as far as.

Speaker 2 (10:58):
Sports teams go, as a as a fan, there's guys
that were on your team and it didn't work out,
and there's a party that's like, well, you know what,
as long as I'm not playing my team, I'm always
gonna like I always look at Jacob de Gram's box
score and I'm like, man, I hope that kid does good. Yeah,
he's not a kid anymore, but you know, I I
like to see that da Gram still has it. Danny
g posts another side question too. It's like, you know,

(11:21):
we sort of I mean, COVID is what got us
out of ESPN. COVID happened, right, so the world happened
and contracts ended and that sort of thing. He's like, yeah,
if you left sort of on weird terms like that, though,
do you still root for the other people that that
you moved on from. Oh there's people I root for
at ESPN. And I pose that question to everybody, like

(11:44):
do you root for former co workers and colleagues? Do
you understand where Saquan's coming from now? Because I definitely do,
But I wonder if everybody subscribes to that or do
you have you know, a few attitudes.

Speaker 1 (11:56):
There's a level it's you know what level it is.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
You ever go through a breakup, but it's not on
bad terms, like you really the girl was good, just
not for you, and you're like, man, I really want
her to be happy. I hope she finds a great guy,
just not quite as cool as me. Like that's how
your mindset is, Like I want her to find a
good guy, but not me, I think. And when you
really break that with Saequan said too, he basically said,

(12:20):
I don't care about any other giant or the organization
or the I don't care about anything, but Daniel Jones
is my guy.

Speaker 1 (12:27):
Who do you who do you root for ESPN? That's
an interesting one.

Speaker 4 (12:29):
Man.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
A lot of people actually now that you mentioned it,
because he made a lot of good Uh.

Speaker 1 (12:34):
I guess friendship I'll tell you what.

Speaker 2 (12:37):
When I see George so Donald's big head covering a
big NBA game, I'll shoot him a text like, yo, George,
you're killing the man we work with, George.

Speaker 1 (12:43):
I root for George. For Gary Streiski, Yeah Gary.

Speaker 5 (12:47):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (12:47):
Some of the guys from.

Speaker 2 (12:48):
Is that the Asian Covino Yeah, yeah, he's a younger,
handsome words with Randy.

Speaker 1 (12:54):
They do a great job.

Speaker 2 (12:57):
Hercules and Mauricio and from Ada Nunka, Yeah, they do
a great job. I mean there's certain people you want
me to go over the list now of all the
ones you hate, I'll give it is Clinton Yatton when
we're on, because I'm not gonna ot for him anymore.
If that he could only moderate, he could refer to
coming second place. Yeah, but yeah, I think it's a

(13:18):
normal thing. But you rarely hear that. And that's why
it's it's newsworthy, and that's why it stands out. It's
Saquon taking a cool approach on his former quarterback, and
I think that's a bond that we sometimes underestimate. Hey,
remember tall Owens. I'm sorry Terrell Owens cried about his quarterback.
That's my quarterback, Tony Romo, my quarterback. Daniel Jones and

(13:41):
Saquon once had that relationship and he still roots for
his dude, and that's that's my quarterback.

Speaker 1 (13:49):
So that's the story.

Speaker 2 (13:51):
Any other colleagues in your life that you still root
for based on that, I think it's okay to do so,
no dignity, no doubt. Now, we got a lot still
to get to here on cn R. In fact, I
once had it Jason in Texas. He's been on hold.
You just wanted to touch on some of the things
we spoke about first hour, everything from Jerry Jones saying
hell no to a Micah Parsons tribute, Robotic Umpires, Jackson Darr.

Speaker 1 (14:15):
We've covered a lot.

Speaker 2 (14:16):
We'll take any set nine on Fox, and of course
everything at Covino and Rich What up Jason?

Speaker 1 (14:23):
What's up? Jay?

Speaker 2 (14:24):
Hey?

Speaker 5 (14:24):
Guys, how are you well?

Speaker 1 (14:25):
Good man? What's on your mind?

Speaker 5 (14:27):
Great show?

Speaker 1 (14:28):
Thank you?

Speaker 5 (14:28):
Hey. Two quick things. Number one, Jerry Jones does not
want to rip that band aid off getting open that
scab because that was not a popular move for people
down here.

Speaker 1 (14:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (14:39):
Number two is somehow you got to get movie rights
for the robot Umpires to put Bob Buker on there
saying just a bit outside some old.

Speaker 1 (14:49):
School some Bob Buker, AI get the family.

Speaker 2 (14:55):
Thank you, buddy. I I do want to talk a
little baseball. That's because I know we have my home
showtime trivia. We'll talk more NFL, but Cavi, you know
there's six games left and your Yankees are in the clear.

Speaker 1 (15:09):
Danny G.

Speaker 2 (15:10):
Your Dodgers are in the clear. You guys are postseason teams.
You're barring some wild ridiculous thing.

Speaker 1 (15:15):
You're in right.

Speaker 2 (15:15):
Have they both officially clinched some type of wildcards?

Speaker 4 (15:19):
Dodgers are definitely in the season.

Speaker 2 (15:21):
And what's cool about this season is you could say
that the Brewers have all the tools to take it.
But history shows that the best record doesn't always come through,
as the statue rarely comes. A statu showed that seven
out of the last thirty World Series since the strike
year and baseball came back with the wild card and

(15:41):
all that seven times in thirty seasons the best team
won the World Series. So factor that stat into this equation. Plus,
I don't think they're battle tested and ready for this moment.

Speaker 1 (15:51):
I don't know he had to be proven.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
I'm just saying it's had to be proven, right, but
you factor that into this, it's anybody season. Like last year,
I'm like, man, a, Dodgers are so dominant, right, and
the Yankees were so good, but you knew the Dodgers
deep down had it. I don't know whose season it is.
That's what makes it extra interesting. I think heading into
the postseason ghost season. Dodgers and Padres are both postseason bound.

(16:13):
They're within a couple games of each other. There's no
domination there. Milliawuauke Dan Byer's Brewers look the best, but
you're right the truly who's hot. I saw a locker
room talk given by Yelich that really shows you what
a team leader he is about eleven in the moment
and how we're if we go the distance, we are
not only friends now, we are part of each other forever.

(16:35):
And on a side note, we interviewed him like the
nicest guy, like such a nice dude, so unassumed he's
West Coast guy. He's a local local day Yes, Agora Hills, California. Yeah,
meaning like he didn't walk around like he was a superstar.
He was just like a nice, humble kid. And meanwhile,
this guy's hitting bombs I'm hoping the Cubbies continue their
losing streak. They they lost for to Cincinnati, which helped
my Mets not one little bit.

Speaker 1 (16:58):
Cubbies are in and.

Speaker 2 (16:59):
I think the tea if you had to pick a
favorite right now, I think it might be Philadelphia. But
then you could say, well, Zach Wheeler, they're ace, the
guy that would start game one in any series in
baseball is out. So where does that leave them?

Speaker 1 (17:12):
Not in a good situation?

Speaker 2 (17:12):
You know, Detroit, who is the best team of baseball
for most of the year, could very well not even make.

Speaker 1 (17:17):
The playoffs, right Why playoffs?

Speaker 3 (17:20):
So think about that, like just at the All Star
break and I'm.

Speaker 1 (17:24):
So Wheelers out.

Speaker 3 (17:26):
Yeah, scooball and the Tigers may not make the postseason.
Muzerowski's probably coming out of the bullpen for the Brewers
in the postseason. Like things have so much, has changed
so much.

Speaker 2 (17:37):
On one point of the year, the Mets were twenty
something games over five hundred. They are now eighty long
season and seventy six with six games to go. And
then you wonder, like I have friends that are talking about, well,
they're playing this team. I think at this stage of
the game, anyone could beat anyone baseball. That's what's crazy
crazy out baseball. It's not like this postseason especially, I

(17:59):
really feel it's up for which whoever catches fire at
just the right time and on any given day with
the starting pitching, and it does it. Nothing matters in
baseball as far as all that stuff. Meaning in football,
when the Browns upset the Packers, it's like, oh my god,
how could that happen? In baseball, the Mets could sweep

(18:19):
the best team and then they lose two out of
three against the Nationals. We got six games to go,
and there's a part of me that's like, if you
sneak in, do you really genuinely feel like sneak it
to the playoffs and all is forgiven? Because I have
met fan friends that are like, they don't even deserve it.
In fact, I almost hope they don't make it, And
I'm like, why dude, they if they sneak in, then
all it's almost like, well, that's a conversation itself, like

(18:43):
do you want to be teased and be dragged through
the postseason just to be let down or would you
rather than not make it at all? But my point
is win eighty four games and way on the deliver.
But you made the postseason. If you made the post
wins really pessimistic. Yeah, just it's wild to Toronto. Your
Yankees have this weird shot to catch up. Toronto is

(19:04):
only two games ahead with six to go, So baseball
in a really cool spot right now. And the rest
of the Yankees games are easy games.

Speaker 4 (19:11):
For the most way.

Speaker 2 (19:12):
Cleveland trailing Detroit by only a game, and they're about
to start a three game set within an hour. So
you know, baseball's popping. We've been saying it all year.
I don't care what anyone says any one season. Baseball, baseball, baseball.
And next week I heard, good old mad Dog Russo,
you're opal I miss man do and it's got on,
you know. I root for him though, like and Daniel Jones,

(19:33):
mad Dog Russo made a great point. The teams that
have clinched that will probably have a first round by Milwaukee, Toronto, Cleveland,
or Detroit. Right I'm sorry, Seattle. Likely these are the
smaller market teams. Wild Card Week, which is next Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday,

(19:54):
is going to feature Yankees, Dodgers, Cubs, maybe the Mets,
Padres all the big market whoa team. So Baseball Wildcard
ratings could be through the roof because all the great
teams that are smaller market again Cleveland, Toronto, Milwaukee, they
gotta buy.

Speaker 1 (20:13):
So you're gonna see guys. You gonna see Red.

Speaker 2 (20:15):
Sox, Yankees, Cubbies, Dodgers, all your like legacy teams all
into a die like wildcar three game sets. I'd be
realistic if the Yankees were playing like ass right, because
for a while I was thinking they might be ass yeah,
but then they turned it on. They turned it Now
I'm gonna end up paying for half your daughter, sweet sixteen.
You got free, you got rodn you got heel on

(20:38):
the hill, King of the heel. You got there started pitching,
which is working. I really feel if they if they
can get past the Red Sox, it's they think they
got a solid shot.

Speaker 1 (20:49):
A good shot is anyone.

Speaker 2 (20:50):
And I'll say this, the Red Sox are the team
just because certain teams have their number have their number
this year, so it's the Red Sox. I think Yankee
fans sort of fear the Red Sox lot, But of
course I want to hit that rivalry. I want to
hate on you Yankees because that's just the fun of
our show, Mets Van Yankees fan. Danny's a Dodgers guy.
The last point I'll make is, come playoff time, that's

(21:10):
when your rotation and how you use your bullpen and
what starters you moved to middle relief. And Dodgers have
infamously been known to somehow master the bullpen game, which
is crazy. Teams win World series with bullpen games. Now
the Yankees with Max Fried at the top of that rotation,
with rodin number two, and the way they've been pitching,
and they got Schlitler or Louise Hill, who was Rookie

(21:33):
of the Year last year.

Speaker 1 (21:33):
Watch your mouth.

Speaker 2 (21:34):
I said, that's that's a tough battle right there. I mean,
I thought Philly had the best pitching, but Wheeler gone.
They might be number two to the Yankees right now.
All right, we listen, you want to play my home

the Mets, but they are in control of their own destiny.

think is pretty brilliant or could it backfire. I'll let
you know what that is next right here on Fox

in the Colorado and the mountains. So let's go check
out some fall foliage. I like it. That's Denver. That
is Sam and Denver.

Speaker 4 (25:13):

Speaker 5 (25:14):
Hey, Denny?

Speaker 6 (25:15):

aspends are turning. It's about to snow, so we gotta
go fast.

Speaker 1 (25:23):
All right, break out the hoodies, let's go out here
we go.

Speaker 4 (25:25):
Rules for show Time Mahomes NFL Trivia. The first contestant
with two correct answers is the champ. If there's a tie,
we have a tie breaker question. Your name is your buzzer,
but you do have to wait until all three possible
answers are read. If there's two wrong answers in a row,
we move on to the next question. Are you ready go?
Let's do it all? Right?

Speaker 1 (25:41):
Hit it all.

Speaker 2 (25:41):
I'm here patch baums and also be here someday. How
many square feet is the Pro Football Hall of Fame
in Kenton? A one hundred and eighteen thousand square feet,
one hundred and forty one thousand square feet, B or
C seventy three thousand square feet.

Speaker 5 (26:00):
Ma'am?

Speaker 1 (26:00):
Fuck?

Speaker 4 (26:01):
Sam got in there first. No, sorry, Rich Rich for
the steal.

Speaker 2 (26:08):
Um, Patrick, I'm gonna go to the middle one one
eighteen A yes.

Speaker 1 (26:12):
Correct, that's right.

Speaker 2 (26:14):
Was originally nineteen thousand square feet before three expansions. And
speaking of square feet, this guy spot here has the
squarest feet I've ever seen our video guy does he
wear square Jordan's what are those?

Speaker 1 (26:27):
Thanks? What are those? That's enough? Patrick?

Speaker 4 (26:29):
All right, Rich, Rich is halfway to a w We
move on to round two.

Speaker 2 (26:33):
All right, Round two, Patrick Mahomes Show Time Homes Trivia.
What was I once quoted saying about self confidence? Ay,
never change who you are and be the best you
could be. B After the Chargers smashed us in Brazil,
I couldn't even show my face for some Fogo to.

Speaker 1 (26:52):
Chow love Broodiesio or C.

Speaker 2 (27:00):
In middle school, I went through a bit of an
awkward phase, but I got to the other side and
stay true to myself.

Speaker 6 (27:07):
Sam c No, I mean, on the one I like
how Sam is swinging there though, swinging for the fences.
Round three, so Rich and Spot on the board as
we go to the third round.

Speaker 1 (27:28):
Okay, I'm here.

Speaker 2 (27:30):
I know this well because I'm four and oh against them?
What is the name of the Jacksonville Jaguar Stadium. Hey EverBank, B,
M and T Bank or c ever Ready?

Speaker 1 (27:47):
Dan Buyer, He yes, hey EverBank.

Speaker 2 (27:51):
I'm four and oh they are against them? That's my spot,
you know, Dan Byer. What's funny is I feel like
when I was a kid, I can tell you every
stadium name. And that was an adult working in sports radio.
I'd be fifty to fifty one of the tough. Remember
when you were a little kid, you like that was
one of your little memorization things, like I know every
stadium in ballpark.

Speaker 1 (28:08):
They were cool names.

Speaker 2 (28:09):
Now they're like act for sure, and you know Meadows
Bank and just and they changed. Yeah, remember the forty
nine ers at Monster three? Colm like there's a million
there's been a millionaire?

Speaker 4 (28:21):
Right, all right? So a three way tie? Rich Spotty
fire as we go to round four?

Speaker 1 (28:26):
All right?

Speaker 2 (28:26):
Round four to rushed for the most yards in Week
three of the NFL season. Was it a Jordan Mason
b James Cook or see David Montgomery.

Speaker 1 (28:41):
Dan Fire? Yeah, he gave you a couple of seconds
there that beats him. See yes, David Montgomery fires.

Speaker 2 (28:49):
The winner ran for one hundred and fifty one yards
and his lions went over the Ravens, and we're gonna
win all over the Ravens next week. And before I go, guys,
would you rather Metallica, Taylor Swift or Adell for halftime?

Speaker 1 (29:02):
Metallica, I'm gonna go.

Speaker 2 (29:04):
You're pal Swifty, Patrick, that's not I'll take anybody over Adell.
I'm just saying, Yeah, nothing against her, she's great, all
but come on now, are we trying to put people
to sleep or have a good time?

Speaker 1 (29:15):
That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying. I mean,
you hope to be there?

Speaker 5 (29:17):
Right?

Speaker 4 (29:17):
All right?

Speaker 1 (29:18):
Yeah, I hope that That's what I'm saying. I hope
to be there.

Speaker 2 (29:20):
So, hey, I'm moving for Swizzle, but I'll take Metallica,
I'll take anybody over Adell.

Speaker 1 (29:26):
Who knew Patrick didn't like a Dell that much? Get
in here, all right, guys. Thank you guys.

Speaker 4 (29:31):
That's DB's twenty second win.

Speaker 2 (29:33):
Hey, congratulations, save something for the rest of us. Dan Well,
speaking of dB, let's go to Dan Buyer Gay. Thank you, Patrick, Yeah,
and thank you Sam for playing. Yeah, bit buddy.

Speaker 1 (29:44):
Thanks. I thought you were thinking Sam our Sam, but
we had a double Sam. I'll say, I'll thank Sam.
Thanks Sam, Thanks Sam. Sam.

Speaker 3 (29:50):
Heisman favorite no Glaoma quarterback John Mattier out indefinitely is
he will have surgery tomorrow's repair a hand injury suffered
in their win last Saturday over Auburn. Head coach Brynvan
of Bles says they expect Matteer to return this season.
Oklahoma State fired head coach Mike Gundy, as he was
in his twenty first season at his alma mater, The
Scuoloh's Gundy fifteen million dollars as he had three and

(30:11):
a half years left on his contract. Giants are starting
first round pick Jackson Dart at quarterback in Week four
against the Chargers. Russell Wilson will service the backup to
Dart on Sunday. Tampa Bay Times says Buccaneers wide receiver
Mike Evan's gonna miss three to four weeks with a
hamstring strain. Commander's wide receiver Terry mclaurin's getting a second
opinion on a quad injury that could force him to
miss Week four against the Falcons. Tennessee Titans head coach

(30:32):
Brian Callahan has given up his play calling duties coming
up in Week four quarterback coach Bo Hartigree will be
calling the plays as they face the Texans. Texans today
released veteran defensive back CJ. Gardner Johnson. Major League Baseball
will use the Automated Ball Strike Challenge system in twenty
twenty six. That's not only spring trending. We're talking regular
season and postseason as well. New York Liberty fired head

(30:55):
coach Sandy Brundello after four seasons and just one year
removed from winning the NBA title.

Speaker 1 (31:01):
Guys, back to you, damn Byer, You're the man as always.
Thank you, d B. Patrick. Huh. Good to see mahomes back.
Guy is in a zone.

Speaker 2 (31:10):
He's looking a little more confident though, so after a win,
it's good to see a confident, relaxed Patrick mahons. You know,
you know, Danny g you got in my head because
remember I said, like, oh, they're going to crush the
Chiefs the Ravens even though they wanted to.

Speaker 1 (31:28):
The Ravens just look like they can't stop much, right.

Speaker 2 (31:31):
I mean they their defense look like ass. So their
defense might be ass. So with that said, like maybe
they're the fact that Baltimore is only favored by two,
I'm sorry buns as the kids saying the fact that
the Ravens are only favored by less than a field goal.
I thought there was gonna be like seven and a half.

Speaker 4 (31:47):
So the Ravens look like they're going to have to
be in some shootouts.

Speaker 2 (31:50):
Right. Well, we'll see now, I said before, what are
the Reds doing that? I think is a cool move,
but I wonder if it backfires because sometimes you get
a young team, like the Reds are a young team, right,
They're no longer your Joey Vattal Reds. They're your Elie
de la Cruz, some young kids, right. Because they have
a three game set against the Pirates, which, by the way,

(32:11):
I was, Sam, can you throw that game on in
two minutes? It starts at three forty Pacific time. Reds
three games at home before they finish the season against
the Brewers, which I'm hoping Dan Byer's Brewers sweep the
Reds help the Mets.

Speaker 1 (32:24):
Who knows.

Speaker 2 (32:25):
But the Reds are practically giving away tickets. I heard
our buddy Bursh and I were talking about this. What
they're trying to do very cheap refreshments, beer, hot dogs,
food tickets. They're pretty much feel like, hey, you want
a ticket, a dollar just come. They want to fill
up the stadium in Cincinnati to really give the Reds
that fans support for three days, because it really is

(32:46):
they are in the driver's seat. They are tied with
the Mets, but they own the tie break.

Speaker 1 (32:50):
That's an awesome move. What do they got to lose there?

Speaker 2 (32:52):
But I'm just saying, maybe they're gonna make arrow us
in concessions and they're rooting their team on.

Speaker 1 (32:56):
I think it's a good move.

Speaker 2 (32:57):
They're pretty much saying, with a week to go and
you're at actually in the driver's seat ahead of the Mets,
why should we not have fifty thousand people at what?

Speaker 1 (33:05):
Is that the great American? Right?

Speaker 2 (33:06):
I think Cincinnati? Yeah, I think that's a solid, solid move.
It just makes perfect sense. So you're going to see
a pretty packed house over the next couple of days
in Cincinnati. And by the way, our buddy guy hit
us up in Cincinnati and he said, up until a
couple of weeks ago, everyone was like, yeah, yeah, who
cares about the Reds.

Speaker 1 (33:24):
Joe Burrow Bengals, Bengals.

Speaker 2 (33:25):
Burrow gets hurt, the Reds get hot, and he's like,
all of a sudden, for the first time the season.

Speaker 1 (33:29):
People are like, yeah, guys, the Reds right right.

Speaker 2 (33:32):
So we'll see In fact, that game starts right now,
Red's Pirates and Mets Cubbies. That happens at about twenty minutes.
So good National League Baseball tonight, and of course the
big game Tigers Guardians.

Speaker 1 (33:45):
That's right. If the Guardians win tonight.

Speaker 2 (33:48):
Urreas, that will be tied with five games to go,
and less than a month ago they were up like
easily double digits.

Speaker 1 (33:53):
Like change the line, Like I said, not to sound cliche,
but it's a long season, dude. Changed quit.

Speaker 2 (33:58):
When one team goes nine one over the last ten
and the other team goes one to nine, you could
flip a division real quick. So we'll get to some
a little more baseball into NFL to wrap up the show.
Next right here Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 4 (34:10):
We're on a Cincinnati.

Speaker 2 (34:16):
So eight dollars tickets for the Reds Pirates game must
be paying off because Red's got out of the first
sitting no runs for the Pirates. Come on, Pittsburgh, I
can't believe you're rooting that hard for the Pirates with
your eyepatch on and everything.

Speaker 6 (34:34):
Man.

Speaker 2 (34:35):
During the break, Rich was listening to a shanty, a
sea shanty. He's really fired up about this. Once was
a team from Cincinnati that, yeah, I was. That's pretty
cool man.

Speaker 1 (34:44):
It's good. Rich is really committed.

Speaker 2 (34:46):

That's Expresspros dot Com. By the way, CE and R
Pirates favorite that's what I've heard, Pirates favorites and number

(35:29):
one with pirates guys, Just so you know the Pirates. Yeah,
let me ask you a question for everyone around the
room before we watch baseball.

Speaker 1 (35:42):
All eyes on?

Speaker 2 (35:43):
Okay, Well I have a question too, so make it
snappy like a rubber band sandwhich that's a good one.
While I watch the Pirates and Reds on one eye
r and the other eye is on the medicine cubs
of the NFL injury so far? What's the most devastating?
Is it, Well Burrow, it's still not officially deemed out

(36:04):
for the year. Is it James Connor and all of
a sudden Arizona's out there star running back? Is it
the forty nine Ers losing Nick Bosa? Is it Cede
Lamb being out for like a month or so? Like,
what's the yeah Bosa that hurts?

Speaker 1 (36:19):
Is the one?

Speaker 2 (36:20):
Does the Bosa one take the Niners from like, oh,
maybe they could contend to well, they ain't gonna contend
without Najie Harris. With the Chargers Harris in your quarterback,
I think Joe Burrow is pretty yeah, pretty drastic.

Speaker 1 (36:32):
That could be the one.

Speaker 4 (36:34):
Yeah, I would say Burrow's number one on the board. Right.

Speaker 2 (36:36):
This is the year where I mean what they started,
Uh they started too and oh and then got smash
So you were like, oh, wow, they didn't start zero
to three and have to fight back.

Speaker 1 (36:44):
They you know, they started smash, smash, smash.

Speaker 2 (36:48):
He's gonna come back at some point, right, like he's
got he had surgery and turf toe is is the prognosta?

Speaker 4 (36:54):
Is the prognosis?

Speaker 1 (36:56):
Prognosis? You should have let me struggle.

Speaker 2 (36:58):
Sam Sampling, don't you know say the prognostication?

Speaker 1 (37:03):
Yeah, I would have struggled through that, trust.

Speaker 2 (37:06):
But I think three months like we thigu about right,
So what is the end of September, end of October, November, December?
Like you think without Joe Burrow in a division with
the Ravens who are going to battle back with the
Steelers who you know, look at what Aaron Rodgers has
done so far. They're two and one and a pretty
good AFC. Do you think the Bengals are a factor

(37:28):
even in the end of December without Burrow? I mean
first instinct, No, It's just I feel like another wasted
year for the Bengals in Burrow. And I know you
Danny G saw those comparisons to Andrew Luck right where
it's like, is Joe Burrow this decade's Andrew Luck? Where
it's like, Yo, one of the best, I mean, this
guy's generational. But will it ever pan out?

Speaker 4 (37:47):
Yeah, he's been sacked more in the same time period.

Speaker 1 (37:50):
Hikes Oh boy.

Speaker 2 (37:53):
My question real quest as far as how long he's
played so far, and you could answer, yeah, man, I dude,
he can't avoid injuries at this point.

Speaker 1 (38:02):
So you feel bad for those guys.

Speaker 2 (38:03):
I mean, they're making a ton of money, but there
are guys where like your son Nick Boso has his
third knee injury, Burrow went down again. When you see
Bosa walking to the tunnel and he looks up to
what probably is like his family or maybe John Lynch,
and he gives a thumbs down with a sad look.

Speaker 1 (38:18):
Didn't like didn't that hit you a little bit? Like, man,
this guy works so hard. These are a young man
and really short their livelihood.

Speaker 2 (38:25):
Of course, he never it could be a season ruin,
and you never quite know if you're gonna get up
out there again or be the same the same. Yeah,
that's tough. My question was sort of simple. Bigger non
story being that Jimmy Kimmel's back. And when I say
non story, I'm not saying that freedom of speech and
your rights is a non story. I'm saying like he's
already back. Big story Jimmy Kimmel or torpedo bats, and

(38:50):
I compare them only because it was all the buzz
for a second, and then everybody moved on to the
next Again, don't we're not fighting about free speech or
Trump about politics.

Speaker 1 (38:59):
This is a out.

Speaker 2 (39:00):
Everyone was devastated, only to find out he's back already.
He was never fired, he was suspended. Kimble suspended back
like two days later, or when everyone thought torpedo bats
were the rage and the Yankees were sort of cheating
and all the torpedo bat was like the biggest story
going for three days and then we never talked about
it again. Well, I'll say, when you say bigger non story,
I have my answer, and my answer is the torpedo

(39:22):
bet because I think in a decade from now you
may put torpedo bats on a list of the biggest
all time non stories. It was. It was the number
one sports headline for what Sam you remember what a
couple of days which never made because maybe they had
been used the year before. It was a couple of weeks,
and all of a sudden, it was like, you know,
no one could wrap their head around this, this new

(39:45):
invention and is it was like, yeah, obvious, it's legally dumbass.

Speaker 1 (39:50):
And each team.

Speaker 2 (39:52):
In Major League Baseball, by the way, warning track shot
for Cincinnati. They're out of the first inning, all right.
Every team has a couple guys to use the tor
pedo bat ends of story non stories. That's all you
can chime in at Covino and baby You and the
promise let's go Mets.
