Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hey, thanks for listening to the Covino and Rich Podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Be sure to catch us live every weekday from five
to seven Eastern to the four Pacific on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (00:09):
Find your local station for Coveno Rich at Foxsports Radio
dot com, or stream us live every day on the
iHeartRadio app by searching FSR.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
The conclusion of our newlywed game comes up as Monty
and Sam are two for five, much better than my
college football playoff bracket looks, and Monsey I will admit
when I was wrong. The show is presented by DraftKings
sportsbook and official sports betting partner of the NFL and NBA.
Right now, use the Promo code CR Show to claim

(00:41):
your special offer at DraftKings. Again, that's Promo code CR Show.
At DraftKings. The crown is yours. I had someone ask me,
what is your New Year's resolution for twenty twenty six?
Do you have any resolutions? I think my wife even asked.
She's still on hold. She wants to get to the
to the idiot portion where I'm an idiot, but I
am also I'm wrong. My resolution was to plan better,

(01:03):
be a better planner, and I feel like I sometimes
am obsessive about planning and let things fall through the cracks.
My wife hates it on not allowing as much time
that we may need at an airport if we're ever traveling.
That's something that I got to get better. I got
to get better at planning. I chose to work the
morning of New Year's Day, just hours after Ohio State

(01:24):
lost in the College football playoff, Like that should have
taken better planning. I should have taken maybe a loss
into account, you know, and to talk about the buck
guy's defeat. I also should have planned better when it
came to our newlywed game. Okay, I should have. I
should have made sure that everyone was on the same page.
And I was wrong. Moncey, you were correct because the

(01:44):
first time we ever did this game was with Ryan Hollins,
the TV voice of the Houston Rockets, spent a decade
in the NBA, and we did it about the NBA playoffs,
and Monzy recorded answers to the questions that Ryan had
to answer, correct, what was the best playoff series going
to be?

Speaker 4 (02:05):
Who's going to be the MVP at the end.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
So my apologies to you.

Speaker 4 (02:10):
I get the hundred dollars no no to my.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
Apologies to Jason, My apologies to Sam and Isaac and Bow.
Even though I told you to answer in Manzi's way
and you didn't listen to me. You took a cue
from my wife and didn't listen to me, and you
were correct.

Speaker 4 (02:29):
Yeah, it had been a while.

Speaker 5 (02:31):
But also, like I quickly, Jason and I asked each other,
I asked you if it was that, and you said, yes,
it was when you I don't know it was a misunderstanding, miscommunication,
but I you know I had done it before, so
I think that's where I was leaning.

Speaker 4 (02:44):
I was like, no, I think I'm answering for someone else.

Speaker 6 (02:46):
And I'm always in the mode too, where if if
somebody tells me that I got something wrong, like my
super hot girlfriend Christana always does this to me, I
just assume she's right because I'm pretty much deaf. So
I just assumed they did tell me and I didn't
hear it, and it's my fault. That's so I'm always
willing to eat that, Dan, So whatever you want to

(03:06):
do to me, that's fine.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
The premise that Manzi had was correct. I was going
to switch it up this game into it from your perspective,
that was my fault, So congratulations.

Speaker 5 (03:22):
I mean, it's a great way to find out how
compatible Sam and I are that even when you try
to throw us our wrench in our amazing relationship, we still.

Speaker 4 (03:31):
Get yukon like that's how good we are.

Speaker 7 (03:34):
Yes, and Jason Kelsey and Jason, you're two for five.
Well I prefer two and three, thank you. Oh yeah, yeah,
two for five or two and three if you will
forty percent. We'll see how you do with the other
five questions coming up in about twenty minutes or so.
In the meantime, while you guys may be compatible, Rich
Davis half of Cavino and Rich and myself not compatible,

(03:58):
not compatible all because his forty nine Ers hosts my
Seahawks in a winner take NFC West, winner take number
one seed in the NFC playoffs, going down Saturday night,
and it's a game that means a lot for all
of those reasons and really so much, so much more.

(04:18):
Seattle also has the opportunity to get revenge from a
Week one loss to San Francisco that ended inside the
ten yard line when Nick Bosa put heavy pressure on
Sam Donald forced the Donald fumble that was recovered by
the Niners and San Francisco held on for victory. This
after a crazy touchdown pass by brock Perty gave the
forty nine ers the lead.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
Late. Sam Donald is going to be a factor in
this game, good or bad, and it's just a matter
of which one it's going to be. Sam Donald, the
Seahawks quarterback, spoke spoke about this game and doing the
reading of Sam Donald will be Jason Stewart, our executive producer.
Thanks dam.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (05:01):
So Sam was asked about is there any more meaning
to this game than anything else? Just he says, just
understanding the gravity of the game and all that stuff.
But at the end of the day, it's just football.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
Yeah, that's that's true, but it's it's much more than that.
I tried to make a case yesterday on Fox Sports Radio.
I was in with Jonas Knox on the Dan Patrick Show,
and I tried to make a case on that there's
actually a reason maybe why a team should lose this game,
which is who do you think are the top three

(05:35):
teams in the NFC, Because that'll lead me to this question.

Speaker 5 (05:40):
Definitely the Seahawks, Okay, the Rams okay, And then there's
a question.

Speaker 1 (05:45):
Work yeah, yeah, I would you put the forty nine
Ers maybe as a.

Speaker 5 (05:49):
Possibility possibility, but just I could put I could argue
others alongside it as.

Speaker 1 (05:54):
Well, Bears or Eagles.

Speaker 4 (05:56):
Yep, those exactly ones.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
Right maybe? Yeah, But Jason, would you say that if
you were to say Seahawks, Rams, and forty nine Ers
are the top three teams in the NFC, you think
there could be an argument made for that?

Speaker 6 (06:07):
Oh yeah, yeah, what the Rams third? I would say, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
So, depending on how you look at it, the number
one seed will get the buy in home field advantage.
The number two seed will either be Philadelphia or Chicago.
Right now, Chicago's got the inside track on that, but
it could be Philadelphia. This seventh seed is green Bay.
The five and six seed then would be determined by
this outcome, because the Rams and forty nine Ers may

(06:33):
depending on how certain outcomes fall, one will be the
five and one will be the six. The point is
is being the five seed, you get the face Carolina
or Tampa in the first round. That's much more advantageous
than having to face Chicago or Philadelphia. So that would
be the Rams or the forty nine Ers in this
scenario that said that the Seahawks won the Seahawks could

(06:53):
be in a spot where they would get a buy
but then have to face the Rams or forty nine
ers in the divisional playoff, and then have to face
possibly the Rams are forty nine ers if those if
that team ended up upsetting the teams in their first
two rounds, which isn't out of the realm of possibility.
If you're the five seed, you may be able to
play Carolina and then Chicago or Philadelphia, who I don't

(07:16):
think are as good as those three NFC West teams,
and then you'd only have to go through one team
in the NFC West. I know you want home field,
and you know you want to buy, and you just
want to play those two games. But for as competitive
as the NFC West is, where we've seen the Rams
win in San Francisco, we've seen the Niners win in Seattle.
We've seen the Seahawks need overtime to top the Rams.

(07:38):
We saw the Niners win in LA against the Rams
with the back Jones at quarterback. It is not a
given and I don't even think it's an advantage, Manzi,
for any of those teams at home against another division foe,
and if you're the number one overall seed, you may
have to face both of your division foes through your
path of the playoffs. Do you understand what I mean?

(07:59):
You may have to face the Rams and forty nine Ers,
and I think that would be very difficult for Seattle.
I don't think they can beat those two teams in
back to back weeks. But there's a way. If you
took the long way, you may only have to face
one of those teams.

Speaker 4 (08:11):
But that's risky. It is that's super risky, and I'm
not gonna lie to you.

Speaker 5 (08:14):
When you started explaining all that, I felt like, that
mean from the guy from Always Sonny in Philadelphia, where
he like has all.

Speaker 4 (08:20):
These pinned yes and sits and he's like but then
I got once at the end, I was like, Okay,
I'm back on track. I hear what you're saying.

Speaker 1 (08:25):
Glad even fall asleep.

Speaker 4 (08:27):
No, No, I was just like trying to follow you
and all this.

Speaker 5 (08:29):
Okay, I hear what you're saying. That is a very
risky approach to the situation. I feel like the Seahawks
and the forty nine Ers are gonna go in there
and both are gonna try to win. That's how they
have to approach this final game and how this how
the Dominos fall, is how they fall. But I think
this this game, like what I'm really looking forward to

(08:51):
seeing is how, honestly, how how proc Party deals with
the Seahawks defense.

Speaker 4 (08:56):
That, to me is what I'm curious about in this game.

Speaker 1 (08:59):
Well, he's have back to back games with five touchdowns,
some all passing, some running in the in the game
against the Bears, he is playing as good as he
has all season long. And I know he was hampered
by injuries. But if you're they're getting a hot rock person,
you are getting.

Speaker 5 (09:14):
A hot rock pretty But the games that he's playing it,
there's no there's no defense like the Seahawks that he
has seen in the last five weeks.

Speaker 1 (09:24):
And you know what I would just say to that,
I would have believed that until I saw what Matthew
Stafford and the Rams did to that defense. And you're
absolutely right, You're absolutely right. And this may be glass
half full sort of guy, but that's I just think
these teams are so evenly matched and know so much
about each other that there's no way that you can

(09:44):
necessarily predict and what what may seem like the easier route,
sometimes the easier way isn't the best way. And I
know it sounds ridiculous and it's it's not even I'm
not even to make it a hot take, but I'm
just saying that when you're the number one seed and
you get to be at home, that is great and all.

(10:06):
But if there's a scenario where you have to go
through I don't think that the Rams would want to
have to go through San Francisco and Seattle. Again, I
don't I don't know.

Speaker 4 (10:14):
Those three teams don't want to see two of each other.

Speaker 1 (10:18):
Yes, that's exactly my point.

Speaker 4 (10:20):
Yeah, those three teams don't want they want to see
one and that's it. If they that's best case.

Speaker 1 (10:25):
Yeah, in the probable way to do it would be
if you weren't the number one seed. And so that's
that's the crazy. That's one aspect of it, just a theory.
So tomorrow, whoever wins, which I do hope the Seahawks will,
but there's going to be a point if it's the
Seahawks or forty nine ers, you look at it and
you say, oh geez, because the Seahawks would end up
being the five seed if they lost, the Rams would

(10:45):
be the sixth seed. Let's say the Rams ended up
facing Philadelphia, a place by the way that they almost
won it earlier the season and knocked off the Eagles.
So congratulations forty nine ers. You get the Los Angeles
coming to town, a team that beat you forty two
to twenty in Santa Clara earlier this season, Right, it's unfair.

(11:06):
Does that seem like an advantage for the number one
overall seed a little bit? That's so that's kind of
what I'm getting to with some of this of what
you could see now that doesn't take into account green
Bay maybe upsetting say Chicago in that scenario, and then
green Bay would end up going to San Francisco. But
I don't think there's a lot of I don't think
there's a lot of trust in green Bay despite the
effort they put up in Chicago and in almost winning

(11:28):
just a couple of weeks ago. Packers and Bears know
each other pretty well, but I still think people would
think Chicago would win that playoff game.

Speaker 4 (11:34):
I hate I agree with you on that.

Speaker 5 (11:36):
I think Chicago does get the edge, especially because you
know Jordan Love. I know he cleared concussion protocol, but
he's not playing. They're going to hold him until so
he's also going to have an extended period of a break.
So it's like, how is he going to get back
in a groove, in a rhythm immediately starting the playoffs.
So I would also give the edge to Chicago, But
you know, don't don't underestimate who comes out between the

(11:57):
Panthers and the Bucks.

Speaker 1 (11:59):
I know, I know, or the Super Bowl champion, the
defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles. But the real topic
of conversation came via a text from Rich Davis. Aside
from all the game, he said, listen, and I know
you all didn't get the text.

Speaker 4 (12:13):
Don't feel left out, Rich Davis.

Speaker 1 (12:16):
It was a very inclusive Covino and Rich crew. Rich says, guys,
Saturday night, Seahawks forty nine ers, my place, five point thirty,
Come on over watch the game. Dan, there's going to

(12:36):
be a Seahawks fan here. Yeah, come on by. And
there is no way that I would be able to
go to that party.

Speaker 4 (12:48):
Absolutely not.

Speaker 1 (12:49):
It is it is. I am not going into a
forty nine Ers house. I also am I want to
watch the game by myself sort of guy. So even
though there would be another SEAHAWKUKS fan there. There's no
way that I could go over to this party, and
I don't I appreciate the invite, and I think Rich
is all welcoming. I can't believe Rich is going to

(13:11):
have another Seahawks fan at his house for a get together.
I would not have blamed him for not inviting me,
but Manzi, there is no way that I would want
to watch the game with someone else or multiple other
people who were probably closer to Rich that are saying, well,
I want the forty nine ers, that's Rich's team. There's
no way I'd be watching that game with them on
Saturday night.

Speaker 4 (13:32):
And I don't blame you.

Speaker 5 (13:33):
I mean, I'm not gonna be there because I wasn't invited,
But I don't blame you for not.

Speaker 1 (13:37):
The reason to cheer for the Seahawks.

Speaker 4 (13:38):
Yeah, I know, I don't. Of course I have to
cheer for the Seahawks.

Speaker 1 (13:40):
Grace, Grace is grace.

Speaker 4 (13:42):
You know I have to cheer for the Seahawks.

Speaker 8 (13:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (13:44):
No, I wouldn't want to be there either, not even
a little bit.

Speaker 5 (13:47):
And it's I think it's just like you said, like
it's not that those that they're not a welcoming group.
Rich Davison his friends. Is a lot of fun. But
this game would be a type of game if it
was my team that I would also want to watch
alone so that I can yell the things I want
to yell, so that I can throw the things that
I want to throw at the people I want to throw.

Speaker 1 (14:06):
Yes too, And I think that you would be subdued.

Speaker 4 (14:09):
Yeah, you would have to contain yourself.

Speaker 1 (14:11):
Yes, Yeah, there'd be a bunch of side eye. There'd
be a bunch of sorry man.

Speaker 5 (14:16):
Like if something happens and then they look at you
because the Seahawks did something stupid.

Speaker 4 (14:19):
It's like, don't look at me, Yeah, look at me?

Speaker 1 (14:22):
Yeah you yeah, eat your chips.

Speaker 4 (14:25):
Yeah, No, I can't.

Speaker 1 (14:26):
I just don't think that's a real world sort of thing.
Jason Stewart, this is I just don't think you can mix.
Am I am? I am I wrong on this.

Speaker 6 (14:34):
I just wanted to kind of get into your psyche.
But hearing Mansey agree with you, I guess maybe it's
more of a regular thing than I thought. So take
the whole Rich Davis thing out of this. It's just
sitting and watching the game on your own is your preference,
And I think I can relate to that I just
wanted to watch the Dodger World series all by myself.

(14:55):
But like it seems like with you, it's a little
bit more in like when Ohio State games are on,
you want everybody out of the room, right you, including
immediate family members, And I want to deal with a
little deeper into your psyche because this is more about
just being on, you know, not wanting people around. This

(15:16):
is you want a personal relationship with this broadcast.

Speaker 1 (15:20):
Yes, so there was there was a story, and my
mom still talks about it to this day. Nineteen ninety five,
Ohio State and Notre Dame end up playing the first
game of a home and home series in college football,
and it was a huge, huge game, enormous game because
again these are two brands, huge brands, and Ohio States

(15:45):
coming out and trying to be back on the national stage.
Notre Dame is Notre Dame. And Notre Dame ends up
jumping out to a lead, they actually lead at halftime,
and so I'm like, okay, this is no good. My

(16:05):
mom during Ohio State's comeback, was cleaning the upstairs bathroom,
so she comes back down in the fourth quarter and
Notre Dame scores a touchdown, and I'm like, what are
you doing? What are you doing? Go clean the bathroom.
Go clean. She went upstairs and sat in the bathroom

(16:26):
and Ohio State won forty five to twenty six. And
it's an ongoing joke, but my mom says, you want
me to clean the bathroom whenever Ohio State or if
Ohio State loss, like you would be like, I should
have cleaned the bathroom on New Year's Eve. Yeah, you
should have. So there is that portion of it. I
did not like people around there was I even tested it.
Three years later there was my mom was was moving

(16:49):
or they were doing some stuff. This was nineteen ninety eight.
I remember it clear as day. Ohio stated what I
think is one of the best football teams they ever had,
and they were playing Michigan State and it was it
game you just didn't didn't necessarily have to worry about.
Nick Saban was actually the coach at Michigan State. Plexico
Buris was there. Michigan State holds this comeback, and I'm

(17:10):
at this random house in the town where my mom
ended up moving to. It wasn't I shouldn't say random house,
just wasn't my house, and a new place and people
are moving boxes in and out, and I'm watching Ohio
State season crumble, and I felt it was because there
were other people in the house at that time. So
that's where it all stems from. Is I like to
watch it by myself, so I will go to games.

(17:31):
I would go to games and watch games by myself.
And I've just continued that I am not kicking my
wife and son out of the house. That is not happening.
They can be there. But that's that's like the last
the last sort of rule.

Speaker 4 (17:42):
Yeah, he's not superstitious. He's just a little stitious.

Speaker 1 (17:44):
Yes, so he's.

Speaker 4 (17:45):
Got to keep it.

Speaker 6 (17:46):
Oh wait, I think that's full of board superstitious, which
triggers Iowa, Sam, we don't need to go down that
rabbit hole. But I think it's definitely superstitious, and I
respect that part. I didn't know that was a part
of it. So now that you've explained yourself, now I
can understand you a little bit more.

Speaker 1 (18:01):
I also don't like to respond to texts that I
don't know if you guys notice or not, Like I
just I don't. I don't like to Even Sam texted me.
I think maybe during the Michigan game or something like that.
And I just I waited until the end because I
didn't want anything to.

Speaker 4 (18:16):
Yeah, no, I know, not to text Dan by, I
know that.

Speaker 1 (18:19):
Yeah. I just people text me a note like about
the game. They don't know me real well, you know,
and I just I just ignore it and then afterwards
maybe I'll just say something generic. But yeah, just please
don't bother me.

Speaker 3 (18:33):
I think that you guys are the rule rather than
the exception. I think most people out there, if they
are not at the games in person, would rather the
most devoted and die hard, would rather watch them either
alone or with their immediate household, and not in some
large group. I think you guys are the rule and

(18:53):
not the exception. And Dan, by the way, here's a
quick special treat for you.

Speaker 1 (19:06):
Notre Dame seconds. You know what I remember from that game,
Regis was on the sidelines because Regis was such a
huge Notre Dame fan, and then and and Lou Holtz
coach that game with a neck brace if you look
at the highlights. But I remember that game. Ron Paullis
quarterback and Notre Dame at the time, Eddie George had
a huge game, helping his Heisman campaign yeah, yep, it happens.

Speaker 5 (19:29):
I like being in a I think with this situation
for Dan, it's like, this is you asking me to
go to a Laker household when the Lakers and the
Clippers are playing for a very important game. I am
not going to go to a Laker household to watch
this game. Will I go to a Clipper household where
there's a bunch of people there that are rooting for

(19:49):
the Clippers?

Speaker 4 (19:50):
I would do that.

Speaker 5 (19:52):
This situation, You're going to the household where they're they're
going against your team.

Speaker 4 (19:56):
Like, there's no way I would want to sit in
that situation. But I have the thing we talked about.

Speaker 5 (20:02):
It's like, yeah, I'll be at the bar, you know,
I'll be the first one ordering shots at.

Speaker 4 (20:05):
The bar, a Clipper bar. But this situation is not that.
This is not how I would want to watch a game.

Speaker 1 (20:11):
Yeah, I'm sure Rich's children, who I assume will be there. Well,
she here for daddy's forty nine ers, right right?

Speaker 4 (20:16):
Yeah, and you don't want to tell them so you.

Speaker 1 (20:18):
Know, sorry, it's not gonna happen. But yeah, I just
I don't like to watch games with other people with
my team involved game. It's totally understandable. It's just it's
too uncomfortable. Iowa sam Iowa games. You like to watch

(20:39):
them with yourself? Or did you watch the real Liaquest
Bull snuggled up with your girlfriend that we have yet
to meet, Yes, I did. She conveniently has left. I
don't know if you knew this, Jason, did you know
that she left so we can't meet her? Yes? As
I would say that.

Speaker 7 (20:58):
Yeah, like if you're angst people that like are not
of your in your tribe, I guess, And it can
be a little bit, it can be a little obnoxious,
like maybe people's what's the word zeal gets a little
bit obnoxious when you're around you're like you're maybe on
edge a little bit more when you're watching your team.

Speaker 1 (21:15):
Yep.

Speaker 7 (21:16):
And so you want to be with people that are like,
are equally biting their fingernails.

Speaker 1 (21:20):
Yes, I assume that your family's all Hawkeye fans.

Speaker 7 (21:24):
I mean no, not really, Like my parents did not
push me towards sports at all. Like they get more
interested in Iowa sports because I'm interested, and I'll talk
about it like, oh, a big.

Speaker 1 (21:34):
Women's basketball game coming up, and they watch it.

Speaker 7 (21:36):
Okayeah, all right, But for the I mean, like, if
they're in the room with me, you know, there's always
those random questions from the parents that are like, you
should know that already, you know, like just like they
ask a question that should have they should know the
answer to. But you're actually just being really hard on them, yes,
and like they're asking obvious questions, but it's not obvious
to a casual sports.

Speaker 1 (21:53):
Fan, Isaac. What happens in the USC ucla household of.

Speaker 3 (21:57):
Yours, it's a little bit different. My circumstances are a
little bit different because I have pretty much been disowned
by USC from my betrayal in marrying a Bruin. I
also know it's good for me, so I'm like, whatever
you want, go Bruins. And plus I haven't really been
a fan fan since growing up because we're always working.

(22:21):
But going back to my fandom growing up, the team
that I was obsessed with was the La Kings back then,
and I was so intense back then as a kid,
I really didn't want to have anyone else around me
because it just it distracted and detracted from the intensity

(22:42):
of the experience of enjoying the game.

Speaker 1 (22:45):
I can't believe Rich is like welcoming people in and
let alone another Seahawks fan.

Speaker 4 (22:50):
Yeah, this game, but he's done this. Sorry, he does this.

Speaker 3 (22:53):
You know what I mean, He's a really good guy.
I still can't get over the fact that he did
not invite Manci Right, I mean, the Guide does not
know how to host and entertain and get together. If
you're you're invitations.

Speaker 1 (23:05):
Lost, show, tweet or text, right, Sam.

Speaker 3 (23:09):

Speaker 1 (24:02):
Let's see if the scales tip in the favor of
this newlywed couple, Manzy Belanios and Iowa Sam. How are
they compatible? How much are they compatible? On guessing what's
gonna happen? In twenty twenty six, Manty has recorded her
answers of what she thinks Sam will say. We'll ask
Sam the question, we'll get his answer, and then we'll
hear if Manzi was able to make a match. You
guys ready to do this? Let's go all right, let's

(24:23):
do this. Come on, Sam, You've got two questions out
of the first five. Let's see how you do out
of these next five. The two teams Sam, that will
make it to the NBA Finals will be who.

Speaker 7 (24:36):
Let's see here, Out of the West, I'm gonna say
the Thunder and out of the East, I'm going to
say the Knicks.

Speaker 5 (24:42):
All right, let's see what Manzia had to say the
NBA Finals. Sam thinks that the NBA Finals, out of
the West, it's gonna be the Oklahoma City Thunder. And
he thinks out of the East, it's gonna be the
New York Knicks.

Speaker 9 (24:57):
Y woo.

Speaker 7 (25:01):
I think Mont and I both want the Knicks because
it just be like a sexier matchup or like there
everyone wants the Knicks to go to the finals. So
maybe we're thinking in that that same vein one more right,
and Sean's gonna start to get worried.

Speaker 1 (25:13):
Here my wife, all right? Number seven? Who will be
the w WNBA MVP in twenty twenty six? Iowa Sam?

Speaker 7 (25:24):
Well, we both have this same T shirt bearing her name.
Sometimes we rocket on the same day. If we plan
it out, gotta go with, hopefully the comeback queen, that
would be Kaitlyn Clark.

Speaker 1 (25:37):
All right? Who did Monsey think Sam would think it's
gonna be the MVP again?

Speaker 5 (25:42):
Because Iowa Sam, I think thinks with emotion and doesn't
always think logically, which is not a bad thing.

Speaker 4 (25:49):
I think he thinks the.

Speaker 5 (25:51):
W NBA MVP for the upcoming season is obviously going
to be Kaylen Clark.

Speaker 1 (25:56):
Yes, how could I go with anyone else? You can
kind of serve four out of your last four? Let's go.
This is crazy, especially off of the Yukon question of
that wasn't even a Yukon. Question was a tone if
you're joining late last hour. The question was, just name
a college basketball school. There's three hundred and eighty of them,

(26:18):
and Iowa Sam is Iowa Sam? And he guessed Yukon.
Mancy said Yukon, like, I don't get it.

Speaker 6 (26:25):
It makes no sense. No, They're just meant to be
the way the questions have played out since then, I'm
shocked that she didn't get Xander Shop.

Speaker 1 (26:33):
Yeah, now I can't believe that.

Speaker 7 (26:35):
I mean, I'm loving what Ben McCollum's doing at Iowan
his first season. But yeah, I wasn't about to pick Iowa.
Sometimes it's the heart, sometimes it's the head.

Speaker 1 (26:42):
Yeah, a threat. Go to five. We've only got three
questions left to go. Who will be the American League
MVP in twenty twenty six? Iowa Sam? Who do you
think it's gonna be? Is this this is question eight? Yes? Okay?

Speaker 7 (26:55):
Question eight here? You know, I'm just gonna go with
the stock the chalk, the chalk answer. I'm just gonna
go with Aaron Judge again.

Speaker 1 (27:02):
Are and Judge again edged out cal Raleigh for voting
last time around. This Flad Guerrero, Toronto Blue Jay's a
lot of other great nominees. All Right, Manzi, who do
you think Sam was gonna say?

Speaker 4 (27:13):
Who's gonna be the al MVP?

Speaker 5 (27:15):
I feel like, I owea, Sam is just gonna give
an easy answer because it's Aaron Judge.

Speaker 1 (27:22):
Right. Well, I swear I didn't listen to He's ahead
of time.

Speaker 7 (27:26):
I just listened Mons and I were like, as husband
and wife, we went on a first date. It was
very rough, and then we're like, well we'll try it
a second time. I go, things are uh are jiving
this time.

Speaker 6 (27:36):
I didn't even I didn't even think that Sam could
have listened these ahead of time, And since he just
denied it, now I think he did.

Speaker 1 (27:44):
Fox Sports.

Speaker 3 (27:46):
Fox Sports Radio internal investigation has been launched.

Speaker 1 (27:50):
Jason, You've been in here the whole day. Funny thing
is you know I haven't. The only other evidence that
leads to that is like Sam's like, I don't know.
I'm just gonna go chalk and say Aaron Judge. The
Manzi's like, you gonna take the easy way out. He's
just gonna take Aaron Joe.

Speaker 7 (28:03):
Like Et and Elliott, We're on the same wavelength here,
all right. If I get sick, she gets sick. All right,
don't say that your preview of.

Speaker 4 (28:11):
I'm already no, I already got sick, so good, all right.

Speaker 1 (28:14):
All right, all right. The most important Dodger not named
sho Heo Tani for twenty twenty.

Speaker 7 (28:20):
Six is who question nine here? Yes, I'm trying to
make sure I haven't lost my place here, okay. Most
important dodger besides show Heyotani, Well, he was very, very
important during the World Series Championship run. I'm gonna say
a Yoshinobu Yamamoto.

Speaker 1 (28:36):
Okay, all right, one from the picture status, who did
Manzi say? Sam would say.

Speaker 4 (28:42):
The most important Dodger not named sho Heo Tani. That's
a good question because you could give a couple of answers.
But I know that I always say am probably said
Freddy Freeman.

Speaker 1 (28:54):
A good things must come to an end.

Speaker 3 (28:57):
Oh, how convenient that you got the long after we
called you guys out.

Speaker 7 (29:01):
Yeah, sorry, we had five in a row. We got
all right, Well we're five and four.

Speaker 1 (29:09):
Yes, okay, so you and above five hundred Yes, yes,
you've gotten five out of the nine questions correct. Final
one ends up NFL question for next year. For next year,
the team Kyler Murray plays for in twenty twenty.

Speaker 7 (29:25):
Six is I'm just thinking of like similar styles and
maybe like similar height, stature, body type, and the fact
that he was benched this year. I'm gonna say, Kyler
Murray plays for the Miami Dolphins.

Speaker 1 (29:39):
All right, let's see what Manti has to.

Speaker 4 (29:41):
Say Kyler Murray.

Speaker 5 (29:43):
Well, Iowa Sam thinks that Kyler Murray will be taking
his talents to South Beach.

Speaker 4 (29:50):
I don't know if it's South Beach, but he's going
to the Dolphins.

Speaker 9 (29:52):
Yes, yes, yes, right right, my wife, I.

Speaker 1 (30:04):
Know there weren't You're talking about all the options, like
like he's not going to go to the Chiefs. We
know that.

Speaker 7 (30:10):
Yeah, there's there's only a couple of options really with
I mean, how many guys have already been.

Speaker 1 (30:15):
You know, job, soul mates, job, thank you job.

Speaker 7 (30:27):
It's not a bad place to be here in the
summer started a little rough, but we we rebounded very well.

Speaker 1 (30:32):
Mancy.

Speaker 6 (30:33):
I'm trying to think of how I would react if
I had a pre knowledge of the answers, I would
throw people off the set with that that fourth question
with Freddie Freeman, then go right back.

Speaker 1 (30:45):
Maybe things just play out the way they play out.
That's all I'm saying. I thought he was going to
go Mookie Bets, that's all.

Speaker 4 (30:53):
Yes, that's what I thought too, But I went Freddy.

Speaker 7 (30:56):
I thought Freddy or Yoshi, and I went to Yoshinobu. Well,
good job, thanks six out of ten. All right, hey
twenty twenty six.

Speaker 4 (31:04):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (31:04):
I love it. Good job, Moncey, good job. We really
know each other.

Speaker 4 (31:08):
We really do start out a little rough because.

Speaker 7 (31:09):
Of the kind of reverse things. But we're good now.
You're very compatible. Not surprising, you're both very likable.

Speaker 4 (31:16):
People still have a drink. Celebrate.

ship fast and free back by free road hazard protection
with convenient insallation options like mobile tar installation, tarek dot
on the way tirebind should be.

Speaker 1 (32:01):
Yeah, I know it's earlier. Were not even two days
into twenty twenty six, but apparently seems that Tom Brady
and so far it's the year of Tom Brady. Tom Brady,
forty eight years old, spotted out with a popular TikTok influencer,
Alex Earl. Is her name Alex Earl, and I knew

(32:21):
that she was young because she spells her name Alix. Correct.
That is not stuff they did forty five years ago.
That's crap that they did twenty five years ago. Alex Earle,
TikTok personality, by the way, may not even be your
real name. I have no idea, But the point is
Tom Brady spotted out. Was he in the Caribbean where
he was seen dancing with her and having a good time?

Speaker 4 (32:43):
That's what they said, some sort of New Year's eve
rite celebration. That's what it looked like.

Speaker 1 (32:47):
She was correct. Saint Bart's. Saint Bart's is the place
to be captured on video getting close. At one point,
she was kind of caressing slowly.

Speaker 4 (32:57):
It was a caress, not just a pat on the back.

Speaker 1 (33:00):
No, definitely a caress. Are we cool with this? Tom
Brady's forty eight, she's twenty five. He's obviously sports celebrity.
She's a celebrity in her own world of TikTok YouTube.

Speaker 4 (33:13):
I don't care about the age, y'all.

Speaker 5 (33:16):
Alex Earle was dating an NFL player that most people
don't know, and then now she's seen with Tom Brady.

Speaker 4 (33:24):
Tom Brady, that is breaking guy code.

Speaker 5 (33:26):
Come on, you could have anyone you want, and then
you just picked up this girl that just broke up
with an NFL player.

Speaker 1 (33:32):
I think I think she would consider it because of
the playing status in upgrade.

Speaker 5 (33:38):
Well, I'm saying Tom Brad should have been like, you know what,
you were dating somebody in the NFL.

Speaker 4 (33:44):
I should not. I should not, So you don't.

Speaker 1 (33:46):
Blame her, you blame him. Yeah, dating a twenty five
year old. I thought the age was more of the issue.
You're saying that the profession is more of the issue
that Tom Brady. Yes, the NFL guy is am. I
am I correct in saying that he's like stooping to

(34:08):
a low lower level.

Speaker 5 (34:10):
No, that's not it. That's not how I'm seeing it
at all. I'm just like, my guy, you could have
any girl you want.

Speaker 2 (34:16):
And this poor guy that he that just broke up
with this girl who is an NFL player yet not
many people know about him, is gonna have to see
his ex girlfriend with Tom Brady everywhere everywhere.

Speaker 1 (34:27):
I I get it, but it's also a world of
people that I don't care about, Like there there are
others like this. I don't want to say this happens
in the NBA, but I think it happens in the NBA.
I also think that this happens at other time in
the NFL. We just don't have We don't have the

(34:47):
Hall of Fame caliber of Brady being a part of
this conversation where he's the quarterback. Like I I swear
this is being old, but I thought like someone went
from one wide receiver to another wide receiver, like dated
a wide receiver, so they're like kind of in the
same ecosystem. The problem is is Brady has got seven
Super Bowls, is a quarterback, and is retired and so

(35:09):
now he kind of ends up going into this ecosystem
of average wide receivers.

Speaker 5 (35:15):
You know what, I hear what you're saying. I honestly
just didn't look at it like that. I just saw
it more as like poor Braxton Barrios.

Speaker 1 (35:25):
Yeah, well he'll get over.

Speaker 4 (35:26):
It, will he? See what Alex Alex lex whatever earl?

Speaker 1 (35:30):
I thought he dated someone else that was popular. I
should have do you know who he? Do you know
who he previously dated? And and but I think like
this is part of his group, Like I thought that
this was his his sort of world. I could be wrong,
but I think that these guys get over it pretty quickly.

Speaker 5 (35:47):
When you're when you're gonna go date another wide receiver,
not when you're dating Tom ken.

Speaker 1 (35:50):
Bray he dated Sophia Culpo, Olivia Culpo's sister. Oh, yes,
thank you.

Speaker 4 (35:57):
That is still not the same. It's still not the same.

Speaker 1 (36:00):
I don't know what Coupo looks like, but she's very attractive.
I mean, it's Christian McCaffrey's wife, right, Olivia Coppo? Yes,
so yeah, so I'm sure they look somewhat similar. This
is the world that they all live in. Tom Brady
just decided to dive into it, even if he's twenty
three years her senior. She's Moncey, I'm Dan Byer. Sam

(36:21):
and Monty are compatible. That's all that.

Speaker 4 (36:23):
Yeah, we are.

Speaker 1 (36:23):
Who knows if Alex Earl and Tom Brady are. If
you know when Rich are back on Monday.
