And I hope you have a Cooper Flags sort of day.

(01:02):
If you don't know who that is, you will. He
had a week, he's having a day. Everybody's talking about him.
He's the story of the day. He's that six foot eight,
seventeen year old little goon from Maine, incoming freshman at
Duke that schooled the US Olympic team. So props to him.
He's on that US Select team that scrimmaged against them.
He put up big numbers and we talked about you know,

(01:24):
what were you doing at seventeen You were just excited
about Newdy magazine day. This guy is playing against the
best and doing well.

Speaker 5 (01:31):
I was making my broadcasting debut, but not at a
radio station at the Wendy's drive through.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
Could I think your honor And it looks like you're
wearing the same headset I am.

Speaker 5 (01:40):
Yeah, it's broadcasting live in Texas, Caminos, back in La.
It's those dog days of summer where it's a lot
of nonsense going on in the world of sports.

Speaker 3 (01:48):
Well, perfect baseball. We're the worldwide leaders of nonsense, so
it makes sense.

Speaker 5 (01:52):
It's a baseball season. My Mets every time they get
back to five hundred, they flounder a little bit. Your
Yankees are struggling. Danny g you're Dodgers, are you know?
When you're good? Like the Dodgers, you're sort of just
biding time into the playoffs. And that's gotta be a
weird feeling as a fan because like, you enjoy it,
but aren't you just like man, you better not choking
the playoffs again. Like that's in the back of your mind,

(02:13):
right for sure.

Speaker 6 (02:14):
And they're dealing with a lot of injuries and pitching
rotation is a little screwy right now. So you're right
as long as they can finish the regular season strong.

Speaker 3 (02:22):
Every championship team goes through their ups and down. It's
a long as season, so you don't have to worry
about that stuff. But yeah, I hope you're having a
Cooper Flag sort of week. Rich, Not to pat myself
on the back like Barry Horowitz, but your boys having
a week. I've had a great past seven days, let's say.

(02:44):
But in the bedroom, maybe it slate it on Dan Patrick.

Speaker 4 (02:50):
We're having fun on the Herd.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
We're in for Colin cow Herd, the biggest show in
the country, right, doesn't get bigger better than this having
fun in the old studio. Was on Access TV last
night music Mayhem. I don't know if you saw me,
but I was also on the History Channel this weekend,
Icons that Built America, talking shock.

Speaker 5 (03:11):
Chocks, chilling, and you school and you schooled some kids
at the twenty four and.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
I was hitting threes like you don't even know. I
won a game a horse.

Speaker 4 (03:19):
Yo. My week's been all right, I haven't slept well.

Speaker 5 (03:22):
But when are you going to challenge Jason McIntyre? We
need what is it?

Speaker 4 (03:27):
What is it with you in this? What are you challenging?
Colin in? I want to know? May oh Colin, Yeah,
are you trying to set something up? I'll play scrabble.
YEA Rich is going words with friends.

Speaker 5 (03:40):
I feel like I look good in light blue button down,
so I'm gonna chatch him.

Speaker 4 (03:42):
To oh nice?

Speaker 5 (03:44):
All right, all right, anyway like a runway walking, I
feel like.

Speaker 3 (03:47):
I'm having a pretty good week, and this is a
This is a good way to to cap it off
early on a Tuesday.

Speaker 5 (03:53):
Listen, man, uh your Yankees while they are struggling. I
thought Ben Rice was a great story for the Yankees.
And I'm excited about the All Star brea because, as
we always say, of all the four major sports, you know, football, baseball, basketball,
and hot dog eating, Yeah, the home run derby by
far the most fun. And they adjusted the rules a
little bit, so we'll be looking forward to that. That's
a week from yesterday. A week from today, he got

(04:16):
the All Star Game with thirty two new players, so
that's something to talk forward to. But you know what,
else is tomorrow, Cavino, We're less than a month away
from football kicking off. This is the last month without
football and tomorrow on Netflix Receiver now we all watch
quarterback following the life of Mariota Kirk Cousins, who became

(04:38):
the most Lovable dork in the NFL and Patrick Mahomes.
Not only is his wife looking real good lately in
these bikini shoots she's doing, you realize that she is just.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
Previously had the title for most lovable dork in the NFL?
Is Eli Manning? Do you think, what do you think
previously held the crown?

Speaker 5 (04:56):
Oh? Eli's the goat in that category.

Speaker 3 (04:58):
So yeah, Ed Cousins definitely up there. But it is
great insight, Rich And the first taste that I got
of this as a sports fan is twenty four to seven.

Speaker 4 (05:08):
Back in the day, I used to love that.

Speaker 3 (05:10):
You know, because you're following two fighters you don't know
a whole lot about, and you feel more invested. And
you felt more invested watching quarterback, You're gonna feel more
invested watching receiver and moving forward.

Speaker 4 (05:22):
That's the key to this.

Speaker 3 (05:23):
You get to know these players on a personal level. Rich,
you're a forty nine ers fan, so of course you
know Kittle day and day out and debo, but again
it's justin Jefferson Devonte Adams. You get to know what
these guys are about, so aside from your own team,
there's a little bit more of a rooting interest that
pulls you in to the storylines this coming season.

Speaker 4 (05:41):
I love that.

Speaker 3 (05:42):
I love when I feel more invested about these players
as people or these athletes as people.

Speaker 5 (05:49):
Well, much like you tying it into next week's baseball festivities.
If a guy on your team's in the home run derby,
or you know, if your NBA favorite player is in
the three point shootout, there's more interest because it's like, yoh,
that's my guy, Danny G. I can only imagine that
you're interested in this, But the fact that Devonte Adams
is on it, you're like, oh, I get some insight
into the Raiders locker room, in that world.

Speaker 4 (06:10):
Yeah, let's go.

Speaker 6 (06:11):
And he's out a little bit of a crossroads right
now because he's still one of the elite receivers, but
he's obviously getting up there in age a little bit
for a receiver.

Speaker 5 (06:19):
But you've seen Kittle micd Up before, so you can
only imagine Kittle will be a very interesting part of
the series because he's just a character. So that starts
tomorrow in the NFL. And did you see they asked
Travis Kelcey if you wanted to do it, but he said, yo,
no more of this reality TV s. He's he doesn't
want to be in the spotlight. But Kelsey was asked

(06:40):
to do it. But I think you got some great stars.

Speaker 3 (06:42):
He has some PTSD in the world of reality TV.
If you remember, we interviewed Travis back in the day
when he was promoting what was it called Chasing Kelsey,
his reality dating show back in the day. That's where
we met him years ago at Serious XM. And then
we recently had on Ed Kelsey at the Super Bowl.

Speaker 4 (07:01):
Was that last year? That was last year? Right?

Speaker 5 (07:03):
Two years ago?

Speaker 4 (07:05):
Yeah, time flying?

Speaker 3 (07:06):
So this is pre tailor, right, So two years ago
we had Ed Kelsey on the show and I remember
Ed was very very forthcoming about his disdain when it
came to that reality TV world. He was like, I
told him not to do it. It was stupid, he was.
He said something along the lines of, you know, we

(07:27):
told him not to do it. He did it anyway,
and he wasn't a big fan of that, So I'm
sure Kelsey's decision, especially with the circus that he's surrounded
by now, had something to do with that.

Speaker 5 (07:37):
I feel like we're all gonna come out of this
the same way we came out of quarterback. Where are
you gonna be? Like, Oh, I like that guy more
than I thought her. That guy's sort of boring.

Speaker 3 (07:47):
I wonder I think we need more of that. Yeah,
we need more of that in sports. Like I said,
nothing got you more fired up than the voice of
Leev Schreiber and and him talking about Manny pac Men
Pachiel and in Floyd Meweather whoever he was covering while
they were jogging the streets of ox Star in California.

(08:11):
That would get you so pumped up. So when they
bring this into the world of football or any sport,
I think we need more backstory, more of that get
us intrigued, pull us in, get us invested.

Speaker 5 (08:22):
Well. I think receiver is gonna be a huge hit
like Danny G's dude, Devonte Adams. That's an interesting story
because you're right, he's a star, but at a crossroads
on a team with maybe not their.

Speaker 4 (08:33):
Quarterback everybody's got a story. You just don't You just
don't know it.

Speaker 5 (08:37):
Look at Kittle and Deebo. They're on a team that
keeps getting close but can't finish in San Francisco. There's
a story there. Jefferson getting all that money, he's in Minnesota.
There's a lot of great stories that you're gonna see.
And Brown, by the way, that's that's a great story.
Detroit coming out of nowhere and everyone's like, Wow, they
are they here to stay? Are they a competitor for

(08:58):
the next five years or so? We'll see again. This
is all tomorrow episode one. I'm sure there's a few
that are released tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (09:05):
You know what's funny about this though, You keep talking
about receiver tomorrow and everybody is excited about it, but
you totally like jump over the fact that Hard Knocks
is on you so don't care about the New York
Football Giants that you just don't even care.

Speaker 4 (09:20):
That's tonight.

Speaker 3 (09:21):
So episode two is tonight, and the first episode, I'm
telling you, is good.

Speaker 4 (09:25):
That's the beauty of all this stuff.

Speaker 3 (09:26):
You don't have to be a fan who appreciated You
don't have to be a Giants fan to get excited
about hard knocks and learn a little something about the team. Dude,
to anyone that anyone that believes that Daniel Jones is
the future of the world, I can't get on board.

Speaker 4 (09:39):
But no, they don't. They don't.

Speaker 6 (09:40):
The new GM of the Giants tells his staff, we
don't know if this is our guy or not.

Speaker 4 (09:45):
Yeah, it's awkward.

Speaker 6 (09:46):
Yeah, And that sa kwon money they didn't have is
in the quarterback's pocket and he's like, we're gonna see
if that money was well spent or not.

Speaker 3 (09:54):
Dude, By the way that Danny g points out some
really good observations. Because you're sitting there thinking, am I
supposed to be hearing this? Like you're really fly on
the wall watching this stuff. It must be really awkward
for the players to hear all the management talk about them,
just like just think their budget cuts, their numbers, they're
just they're just numbers in the company. How are we

(10:16):
gonna figure this out? How are we gonna balance this?
Do we let Saquon go? It's really cool to see,
really cool to hear so again receivers different level of intrigue.

Speaker 4 (10:25):
I get it.

Speaker 3 (10:26):
And they cover a lot of different players, but don't
sleep on Hard Knocks. If baseball's boring you and you're
excited about football a month from now, you could watch
episode two, one and two tonight. Who cares giants or not?
It's it's good. I'm telling you it's good. I started.

Speaker 5 (10:41):
I'm I'm intrigued enough on a boring night. I'm trying
to catch up on The Boys on Amazon. I'm caught
up on my other shows. Well, now you told me
I have to watch the Bachelorette, so maybe I'll watch
the Bachelorette and Hard Knocks.

Speaker 3 (10:53):
It was surprisingly decent. The girlfriend for reference was watching it,
and I was there by the fault, and I got
invested by myself justifying.

Speaker 4 (11:02):
Yes I am.

Speaker 3 (11:02):
Because there's a lot of people are like, who are
these idiots? This one's talking about crying at a cartoon.
The other guy's talking about the Bachelorette. I'm not trying
to get that reputation. I'm trying to make it clear,
be a man, be yourself. I am myself.

Speaker 5 (11:16):
I was.

Speaker 3 (11:16):
I got hit with the shrapnel of the Bachelorette. It
was just done own it.

Speaker 4 (11:20):
I like it.

Speaker 3 (11:21):
So I like Bachelor in Paradise. That's that's my I
like that I'm not a big trash TV guy.

Speaker 6 (11:27):
Well, and to answer your question really quick, Rich, a
quick Google machine search says all eight episodes of Receiver
premiere tonight on Netflix, July ten.

Speaker 5 (11:39):
I don't know if I want to. I don't know
if I want to relive the forty nine ers for tomorrow,
but I will watch. I'm excited to see a little
behind the scenes. And you know what, Cavino, there is
a thought you got me thinking. Based on what you said.
I think it's fair. And I'll tell you why. As
far as them talking maybe out of school, as you
would say, these guys are making tens of millions of dollars.

(12:01):
This isn't like someone talking smack about a Walmart work
or someone at your office like this is you know,
if you're talking, is Daniel Jones worth it? When a
guy's making forty million dollars a year, I think you
could publicly speculate it. I really do. It's like, Yo,
we're paying you forty million dollars a year, deliver or
we'll publicly say we made a mistake and at you.

Speaker 7 (12:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (12:19):
It is wild to see, though, so worth the watch again.
Hard Knocks episode two tonight, speaking of football. I know
we're getting fired. It's All Star week, Baseball is in
the air. Rich doesn't care because he's a Mets fan.

Speaker 4 (12:31):
I get all that.

Speaker 5 (12:32):
I care.

Speaker 3 (12:34):
Yeah, Home Run Derby. He's gonna put on a show.
I'm excited about it. But a lot of people excited
about football being a month away. You know, Joe Burrow
was in the news for defending his backlist suit and
he was talking about the football schedule.

Speaker 5 (12:48):
Yeah, he was also talking about how he thinks there
should be no taunting penalties. He did a pretty pretty
cool interview with Barstool and I was like, the takeaway
that people are talking about with Burrow, they're making a
team like this is his idea. Hey, if you want
to give Joe Burrow credit, have ad it.

Speaker 3 (13:04):
But by the way, Rich really likable regardless of who
you root for. I think everybody could agree certain guys
like Patrick Mahomes, you can't hate the dude, right And
as we get to know Joe Burrow, you could just
appreciate that he is a cool dude regardless of what
team you root for.

Speaker 4 (13:22):
He's a very likable guy.

Speaker 5 (13:24):
For years, you and I have talked about the difference
between confidence and arrogance, and Joe Burrow knows that line.
I look at him as just a confident dude that
he could laugh at himself, he could have some fun.
I like Joe Burrow a lot. I'm a Joe Burrow fan.

Speaker 3 (13:40):
Well, isn't and isn't confidence a lot like arrogance with
a smile? Isn't that the saying or the sentiment is
it's sort of arrogance with the shrug, with a little
bit of a smirk, with a little bit of a smile,
because you're not taking yourself that serious.

Speaker 5 (13:56):
You're just confident seriously that Yeah, that's when you're arrogant
in your jo, when you're the guy that's like, I'm
the man, but you never laugh about it. It's like, dude,
take don't take yourself so serious. Joe Burrow is talking
about the NFL schedule. I don't think he's the guy
that you get credit. But a lot of I see
a lot of people on social media saying, man, Joe
Burrow's onto something and Danny g spot guys. We talked

(14:20):
about this the other day briefly with our Update anchor Monsei.
Joe Burrow suggested, eventually we will go to an eighteen
game schedule, it's inevitable that Roger Goodell and the teams
will agree to eighteen games when we do go to
eighteen games. Think about it, we went from sixteen to
seventeen like that. We didn't blink an eye. We will
go to eighteen when we go to eighteen games in

(14:40):
the NFL, if each team got two by weeks, and
then Burrow suggested week thirteen, everyone gets a bye and
it becomes sort of like an All Star weekend and
NFL Pro Bowl weekend with his skills competitions, and you know,
the fans celebrate the stars of the league. Then by

(15:02):
doing that two by weeks the All Star Pro Bowl weekend,
you're backing up the Super Bowl to be President's Day weekend,
which means everyone would have that Monday off.

Speaker 4 (15:12):
Which is what everybody wanted always.

Speaker 5 (15:14):
It's sort of like maybe that caveat that Burrow added
with the Week thirteen Pro Bowl festivities, it seems like
a touchdown pun intended. It really does seem like, all right,
eighteen games, two bye weeks, expanded roster thirteen, everyone gets off,
and then the Super Bowl holiday weekend. Do you think

(15:36):
anyone will dispute that Danny Cavino. Is anyone going to
say that's not a great idea?

Speaker 7 (15:41):
No?

Speaker 3 (15:41):
And again, like I said, that's what everybody always wanted.
Let's make it a national holiday. We should have that
Monday off. This lines up perfectly where you could just
still have off and still enjoy your super Bowl and
not worry about work the next day. So I think
it's perfect. So Joe Burrow not only Joe cool. He's
got the swag, he's got the style, he's likable, but

(16:03):
he's got the answers. So again, any thought, Stanny g
can we get music?

Speaker 4 (16:08):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (16:08):
We especially raved about the holiday aspect of this when
we were doing Sunday nights on the network because we
were on Yeah Live for the super Bowl, remember, and
you guys during that shift were saying, man, it should
be a national holiday tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (16:23):
I mean everybody dreads that next day at work. You know,
you ate how much five layer dip could you eat
and not feel it the next day? Right, you're boozing
and schmoozing, eating wings like your Joey chestnut. Would you
have two hundred wings? You slab and then you have
to go to work the next day. No, this you
get to celebrate with your ab linking top hat. You

(16:45):
get to enjoy your day off, President's Day Weekend. I
like it music, you like it, You're feeling it.

Speaker 8 (16:50):
I think there's a lot going on in the world
and in America that we can be divided over, but
this has got to be the one thing we're all
unified on.

Speaker 4 (16:57):
I'm trying to think what would be the problem though?

Speaker 5 (17:00):
Extra music picks up a great point. We fight about
everything as a society. I haven't heard one person say.

Speaker 8 (17:07):
Boy and it's about that one's going I would love
to have work the Monday after the super Bowl. Well,
that person doesn't exist.

Speaker 3 (17:14):
That actually raises an interesting question because there's always somebody, right,
like the doctors.

Speaker 4 (17:19):
You're like, who's the one?

Speaker 3 (17:20):
Yeah, exactly, There's always somebody who didn't vote for Derek
Jeter in the Hall of Fame or something. There's always
one idiot, right, So what would be the problem?

Speaker 4 (17:29):
Rich?

Speaker 5 (17:29):
The extra the extra time? We keep adding too much football?
Like who doesn't want more football? Who doesn't want these
guys to get the proper rest so they don't have injuries,
Who doesn't want them wants how they weakend? And not
only the other caveat cod. Now there's something if you
made the if you made the Pro Bowl, and those skills,
things relevant like mid season instead of the throwaway week

(17:50):
after the super Bowl or in between, Like no one
wants that.

Speaker 3 (17:53):
What's going out there? What's that famous meme? Is like, uh,
it's a meme of a stick or something like that.
It's like, here's a stick? Are you about it? And
people are really like debating is to stay? It was
more of a twig. It's not you know, people will
fight over everything and anything. I'm really curious to see
what the problem is. I don't think and you said
the extra game, Rich, I don't think any real football

(18:14):
fan would complain about more football.

Speaker 4 (18:18):
Yeah, so I don't. I don't even see that being
an argument, or a solid one at least.

Speaker 5 (18:23):
And not only is Joe Burrow coming up with brilliant ideas.
We'll give him the credit. Joe Burrow's hanging out at
the White Party with Tom Brady and Livy Dunn and
Jake Paul and you know, Drake was there. Everyone of important.
But I got to ask, I'm glad you're the type
of guy Danny g You know Cavino, he's a type
of guy that so badly wants to be there.

Speaker 4 (18:41):
I totally do Again, you need yours?

Speaker 3 (18:45):
You know that would probably happen. Someone would hand me
their keys and I would be really insulted. Uh but
and that's happened to me in real life so many times.
I'm not even joking. Yeah, I'm not even choking, dude.
I was waiting for my car at a car wash.
Someone told me I missed the spot, handed me a towel.
I'm not even kidding you. True story, I know, but

(19:06):
I do want to get to that white party. And
if you don't know what we're talking about, Michael Rubin
is the owner of Fanatics. I became a fan of
this dude from watching him on Shark Tank, believe it
or not, because he's one of those guest sharks trying
to audition for mister Wonderful's job. Barbara Corcoran says she
hates guest sharks because they're just really trying to figure

(19:29):
out who the next shark is gonna be. Is it
gonna be a Rod Is it going to be Michael Rubin?
But he's the owner of Fanatics. All the jerseys that
you're rocking that you see in MLB, all the memorabilia fanatics, hats, jerseys, clothing, sports,
and he throws this ridiculous invite only white party Fourth

(19:50):
of July weekend, and it's almost nauseating to see the
celebrity stroke fest of invites that are there. It's everybody
from Joe Burrow to Tom Brady. I mean, you gotta
be somebody who knows somebody there's doing something big to
get this invite. The invite itself is an art piece
done by some sassy artist and each each invitation's worth

(20:13):
like fifty to one hundred thousand dollars. But you got
to be the hot dude in the moment to get
this invite, So why wouldn't you want to be that?

Speaker 4 (20:21):
It'll never happen, but why not use that as motivation?
We work in entertainment.

Speaker 3 (20:25):
If you're a Doug who works as an electrician, yeah,
I don't know how you're gonna make your way there,
And Doug, you're a great guy, and then you probably
make great money. But we work in entertainment. That would
be awesome to get that invite. Keep dreaming, bro, why
not you wouldn't want to go?

Speaker 5 (20:44):
I'd end up divorced.

Speaker 4 (20:47):
But you wouldn't want to go to this.

Speaker 3 (20:48):
It's you know what I always I roll my eyes
at Hollywood elite, or I guess this would be sports
elite mixed with Hollywood elite like met Gallas and stuff
like that. Like I'm not going anywhere where I gotta
wear a ridiculous out or a backless suit like Joe Burrow.
But a party, schmoozing and boozing with all the people
you admire and talk about every day, who wouldn't want

(21:09):
to be there? I know there's some also, there's also
speculation that it's a little bit of a weird thing
going on, and yeah.

Speaker 5 (21:16):
But I don't.

Speaker 3 (21:17):
I don't see it that way. I see it as like, yo,
that's cool, and I would like to go. Did you
see the white party that Donald Sterling through.

Speaker 4 (21:24):
That's a totally different one. I always was a white party,
really white party.

Speaker 5 (21:30):
Let me ask Ryan music because there are times where
you know.

Speaker 3 (21:34):
Music would look so good in that flowing white button
down which you wear pants or shorts.

Speaker 8 (21:40):
I'd probably go shorts. I could see Ryot in that.
So here's my thing. If we're if we're gonna go
Pie in the sky. And I did get an invite. Sure,
I'd probably go, but on a much lower level. I
remember the first time I did a Super Bowl remote
and being there for the week leading up to the
super Bowl, and when you walk into it as just

(22:01):
like a random producer and there's even just small time
stars there, You're like, I'm not going to talk to
any of these people.

Speaker 4 (22:07):
Slow.

Speaker 8 (22:07):
Yeah, You're just like stuck in the corner talking to
the other producers that you already know. So it's like
if I just out of the blue got an invite
to the White Party, I'm not going and hanging and
starting up a conversation with Tom Brady or Kim Kardashian.
So I'd probably be like, there's no point in you
going into fantasy. Man, I'm doing shots with Kim Kay,
I'm doing shots with I.

Speaker 5 (22:27):
Got answerting music because he works on the Herd every day.
On those moments where Colin does have like a Tom
Brady in studio, is it is it an awkward like
should I say oh to Tom or not? Like do
you guys know that's the vibe when he has one
of those A listers on.

Speaker 8 (22:41):
I'm staying doing my job. I'm not going I'm not
interjecting myself into situations I know I shouldn't be doing.

Speaker 3 (22:49):
I'm just gonna start wearing white outfits around fourth July
weekend next year and see if people get the manifestation. Yeah,
I got yeah to think it. I mean, look, my
goals are bigger than that. But it's a cool invite, Rich,
It's a really cool invite. I don't care who you are,
where you are if you don't look at that and
there's a party of these, like, man, I kind of
wish I was there because it's the cool guys club

(23:10):
and there's beautiful women everywhere, and it's at this super
swanky beach front house of his. You're just hating honestly,
It's like, I think you're just man that you're not
that person. I'm at least willing to say no, I
wish I was there.

Speaker 5 (23:24):
I wish I was invited. I wish listen. I'll back
you up. On all the elite parties that I roll
my eyes at, that is the one that I'm like, ah,
that would be a cool thing to go to. By
the way, next year, just wear all white on the
fourth of July and if anyone says, hey, Comana, where
are you going, Just say you're going to Ruben's party.
Just don't tell me, don't tell them it's Rubens Stuttard's party.

Speaker 4 (23:44):
No, it's Ruben Sierra's.

Speaker 3 (23:45):
Yeah, Michael, Yeah, I'm sure you guys have seen it.
Your sports fans is Fox Sports Radio, It's it's the Herd.
I'm sure you saw pictures over the holiday weekend of
all these people.

Speaker 4 (24:00):
Look at me, Look at me wearing wine at the party?
Your thoughts? Would you want to go or not? All right?

Speaker 3 (24:06):
We got more Coveno and rich and for Collin on
the Herd. And remember we're gonna be playing Chapotle worker
or WNBA player giving away prizes. Stick around, It's Covino
and rich.

Speaker 2 (24:16):
One more Heard. The Herd streams twenty four hours a day,
seven days a week within the iHeartRadio app. Search Herd
to listen live or on demand whenever you like.

Speaker 3 (24:26):
Yeah, got Ryan Big Sexy on the ones and twos. Yeah,
we got music getting ready for your herdline news. Danny
g Is on the phone, super producing, smoothest most buttery
voice in radio. Yeah, thanks, guys, I appreciate that. I

(24:48):
appreciate all the compliments. Danny g Is getting ready for
the game that's sweeping the nation, Chipotle worker or WNBA player.
It's our way of getting to know more of the
players from the WNBA. We do it respectfully because there's
so many people are out there like, oh man, you

(25:09):
never watched the WNBA. All you know is true, Caitlin
Clark and Angel Reese, Well guess what we're trying to
learn more about it? So are they a Chipotle worker
or WNBA player. Let me tell you this, Herd Nation,
Fox Sports Radio Nation, if you want to play for
coveted giveaway, it's called the CNR on FSR Swiggy. It's

(25:31):
a really nice stainless steel water bottle. Fox Sports Radio
is like this metallic, shiny blue. It turns heads rich.

Speaker 4 (25:38):
You know.

Speaker 3 (25:39):
I see women staring at me all the time, and
I'm like, man, is it me or is it the
Swiggy Swiggy? I think it's the Swigy. Yeah, No, it's
probably Swiggy. So look, guys, if you want a free giveaway,
you want to play along.

Speaker 4 (25:53):
The game is simple. All you have to do is
not lose. That's it.

Speaker 3 (26:00):
All you have to do is not lose, and you
get a CNR Swiggy, not come in last place, okay,
and we have only about ten left of these, so
get one. Why you can the numbers eight one eight,
eight one seven seven fives zero nine eight one eight
eight one seven seven fives zero nine. I'll say one
more time eight one eight eight one seven seven five
zero nine or hit us at Covino and Rich. We're

(26:22):
gonna play right after music and the herd Line News.

Speaker 4 (26:27):
No, no, heard on the news.

Speaker 2 (26:30):
This is the herd Line News.

Speaker 8 (26:32):
Alright, let's kick things off with our attention to the NBA.
That's right, it's official, guys. Klay Thompson introduced today as
a member of the Dallas Mavericks. Wow, sounds weird to say.

Speaker 4 (26:47):
That is weird.

Speaker 8 (26:48):
Here he is at his first press conference talking about
his decision to leave the Warriors.

Speaker 7 (26:53):
I'm very grateful for our time at Golden State, but
I just felt like moving on, just re energize me
and do something special for the rest of my career.

Speaker 4 (27:05):
There he is Klay Thompson, the Dallas Maverick.

Speaker 5 (27:09):
Sometimes it's just time to move on. Hey, Music, how
do you feel about his dad being all but hurt
he didn't choose the Lakers.

Speaker 4 (27:16):
Hey, listen, I get it.

Speaker 8 (27:17):
Michael Thompson's been very vocal about his desires and hopes
and dreams that Clay would one day play for the Lakers.
I do want to point this out, though, another portion
of what Clay had to say. He said, quote, at
this point in my career, you still can't leave me open.

Speaker 5 (27:35):
Now.

Speaker 8 (27:35):
I know we're gonna play Chipotle worker or w NBA player.
But was that Klay Thompson or was that Cavino. No,
it's McIntyre.

Speaker 3 (27:44):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm gonna have a shootout contest, man. No,
that was I'm going Thompson on that one. Yeah, that
was Clay Thomas. Okay, Okay, Clay Thompson earlier today. Well,
you know what, I like that confidence, right, I mean,
those are the things you want to hear, for sure,
you want to hear he's got some game left and
then he's got something to prove, and he does because
he's he's probably got the best chance to come out

(28:07):
with at least five rings on this team, right, So
that separates him from the other Golden State Warrior legends.

Speaker 8 (28:14):
That's a great point. Let's finish up with some NFL
stories here. On average, about half of the playoff teams
in the NFL fail to make it in the postseason
the year prior, and the Jaguars are hoping to be
one of those teams after missing the playoffs last season.
Their linebacker Devin Lloyd, well, he has his sites set
a bit higher. Quote, expectations never change. It's the Super

(28:35):
Bowl every year. I think obviously last year everyone talked
about us starting off eight and three and then finishing
one to five. They're always going to be in the
back of our minds. But we have nothing but the
highest expectations. I appreciate the confidence, but maybe let's start
with getting back into the playoffs. And again, you gotta yeah,
you gotta be realistic on it.

Speaker 3 (28:55):
Yeah, I think Klay Thompson, there's some realistic expectations here
and not so much.

Speaker 4 (29:00):
Yeah, nobody's buying that.

Speaker 8 (29:02):
I think the Jags are hoping for a healthy Trevor
Lawrence and a playoff appearance and they would be happy
with that.

Speaker 4 (29:08):
And we'll finish up with this rich like me saying
next year, I'll be at that white party. That's right. Listen,
you're on the cuss. See.

Speaker 8 (29:15):
I think when you break down a tiered list, you
were on the last cut you know, so the NCAA
tournament on the bubble. You just didn't quite make the
cut this year, So I think your wishes are are realistic.

Speaker 4 (29:27):
There. We'll finish up with this, Rich.

Speaker 8 (29:28):
We gave you good news last hour with Christian McCaffrey,
still thought to be the top running back in the
NFL according to executives and coaches. Well, we're gonna hit
you with some more sensitive news here. What's going on
with Brandon Ayuk. Yeah, he's taken to social media once again,
posting on TikTok watching some practice film from the Washington Commanders,
the team he's expressed playing interest for because of the

(29:50):
quarterback Jade and Daniels, Ayuk's former teammate going back to
college at Arizona State. What's going on with your star
wide receiver there? I was like, he's playing baby games.
So it sounds like to me, it's like very cryptic.
It's like when you're girl you're on the fence with

(30:11):
is posting some cryptic messages about You're like, hey, wait
a second, Yeah, I thought, what do you mean, I'm
feeling lonely these days?

Speaker 3 (30:20):
I don't like that. Yeah, if I was, I think
Rich had a heart attack. You know, you say that respectfully,
but I think he had a moment just hearing this.
It's one of those things where he's just less speechless. Yeah,
now it's problematic. I don't like those baby games. Does
sound like baby games? And look, if it works, if
it builds some intrigue, you know, good for him. But

(30:42):
I don't like that game by Ayuk. And if I
was rich or a forty nine Ers fan, I would
not like it. Yeah, not at all. I'm also going
to point this out.

Speaker 8 (30:49):
Forty nine Ers insider for NBCA Sports Bay Area Matt
Mayoko said he expects you to play for the forty
nine ers this season, but he puts it at a
fifty to fifty shot that they'll be able to reach
a long term agreement and likely trading him by next offseason.

Speaker 3 (31:06):
So now I don't like my players flirting with other teamers.
I just don't like that.

Speaker 8 (31:10):
Hey, it's never good when the guy shows up on
a very popular podcast, The Pivot and says, well, if
I don't play for the forty nine ers, here's a
list of teams I would like to play for.

Speaker 4 (31:21):
Not great, not great.

Speaker 8 (31:23):
I would hope that whenever you're in some type of
committed relationship. Someone's not showing you who their backup options are. Well,
you're still very much together. Exactly any other stories, Ryan,
we are going to wrap up with this one here.

Speaker 4 (31:40):
TJ.

Speaker 8 (31:41):
Watts and the Steelers, Well, they're looking to build on
last year's playoff appearance, not only by upgrading at quarterback,
but also hoping that Watt continues to play at an
elite level. You guys were talking about Joe Burrow earlier.
He was on Pardon My Take, and he talked about
JJ TJ. Watt excuse me, being the only defensive end
and who he has to be weary of throwing an

(32:03):
interception too. Now, I saw this stat and thought it
was pretty remarkable. When Watt doesn't play in Pittsburgh, they
are one in ten.

Speaker 4 (32:12):
Wow.

Speaker 8 (32:13):
Yeah, I mean outside of quarterback, he may be on
a very short list of most impactful players that determine
wins and losses for their team.

Speaker 3 (32:21):
And Burrow giving him a ton of props there. I
wouldn't have thought that, I know, impact player, but one
in ten that's next level.

Speaker 8 (32:28):
Yeah, that is uh, that is things you rarely see
out of anyone other than quarterbacks.

Speaker 4 (32:34):
But TJ. Watt just that important to the Steelers defense.
All right, thank you. That is the Herd Line News.
Thank you music.

Speaker 2 (32:41):
That's the news, and thanks for stopping by the herd
Line News.

Speaker 4 (32:45):
All right.

Speaker 3 (32:46):
We're Cavino and rich In for Colin Cowherd. I want
to thank everybody for calling to play this game. Eight
one eight eight one seven seven five zero nine eight
one eight eight one seven seven five zero nine. That's
the number to play, Chipotle worker or w NBA player
the game I sweep in the nation. We're giving away
swiggies and we're gonna play and you can play along
at home and in the car or at work, wherever

(33:08):

our show.

Speaker 3 (33:32):
Quick, knowledgeable and funny, opinionated, what.

Speaker 2 (33:36):
What are you doing interrupting our promo? Yeah, you wasn't
talking about you. You took those clips totally of context.

Speaker 9 (33:43):
Oh yeah, well after this promo, I'm gonna take you
out and beat you.

Speaker 4 (33:47):
Let me put this into context.

Speaker 5 (33:49):

Just search Fox Sports Radios YouTube page. You could see

(34:46):
what you hear. Now, we got to tell you about
this game. How do we come up with it? Because
I mean, obviously because of a WNBA hype, but how
did the Chipotle thing tie in?

Speaker 6 (34:55):
Danny g You know, it was a week that Rich
was without you on a Friday and we had a
come up with a game to play. And at the time,
everybody was just going on and on about Caitlin Clark
and Angel Reese and suddenly everybody was an expert on
the WNBA, and Rich in that show was saying how
much he loves Chipotle, but they overcharged and we should

(35:16):
get a hold of an executive. So I looked up
the Chipotle employee database and I had that in front
of me, and I was like, hey, I could take
that those names with WNBA names and do this game.

Speaker 3 (35:27):
Okay, And we're giving away prizes. Is called a swiggy,
that's what it's called.

Speaker 4 (35:31):
I don't know why.

Speaker 3 (35:32):
It's a stainless steel water bottle. It's a good looking prize.
We don't give way to chintzy prizes here. Some weak
ass swag on the Covino Own Rich Show, Fox Sports Radio.
It's a it's a nice like electric metallic blue stainless
steel water bottle, Fox Sports Radio, and your chance to
win one is right now. Eight eight one seven, seven,

(35:53):
