Speaker 1 (01:18):
We saw the Chiefs lose Chargers of Heelega.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
Justin Herbert with his hot new girlfriend Madison Beer must
be inspired.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
Bro, They're out on the town. Look at Hotey.

Speaker 5 (01:27):
That's why he was sliding like a superhero at the
end of that game.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
Right, Who's had a better week than Justin Herbert? So
Chiefs are own one, which makes my out on a limb.
Chiefs missed the postseason look like.

Speaker 5 (01:39):
Ooh taking of except how many times now Covino have
the Chiefs started slow and half the media is like,
that's it for them, dynasties over, Bye bye Chiefs And
then they come storming back the second.

Speaker 4 (01:52):
Happening the last showtime mahomes when he gets here, you
know if they're worrying.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
So he said, the Raiders win yesterday, a sloppy win,
but still a win for the Broncos. I feel like
that was a I want to say, boring game, but
I had that on the second TV because there were
fewer late games. Were the Tennessee Titans and cam Ward
looking half decent? Or did the Broncos just have a
like a weekend? That was one of the weaker games.

(02:16):
I thought, Yeah, Nick struggled.

Speaker 5 (02:19):
There was a head scratch at the end of that
game too, because they could have sealed the win with
a field goal and instead they went for it on
fourth down and threw that long pass and a lot
of people were screaming that that was fixed for gambling reasons.
Hard to make what the Denver Broncos are right now?
Are the Titans a decent team or did the Broncos

(02:40):
just have an off day?

Speaker 4 (02:41):
Yeah, the Broncos shut down. It was the Titans not
scoring in the fourth quarter.

Speaker 5 (02:44):
Yeah, their defense, the Broncos defense in the third and
fourth quarter definitely showed up.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
Yeah, they let up three points. I think in the
second half. What's up?

Speaker 6 (02:53):
Dan Sean Payton made some decisions that would have blown
your mind. They went on a fourth down at the
forty six yard on their own forty six yard line,
up eight in the middle of the fourth quarter, maybe
five minutes left to go, and I know that they
have a rookie quarterback on the other side of things.
But then he doubled down and they went for it

(03:15):
on a fourth down where he threw a deep pass,
like just threw like a It wasn't a hail Mary.
But they were just interesting decisions. It was almost like
they were daring the Titans to try to beat them.
They only had an eight point leader, was only a
one score game. I don't know what Denver was doing.
Playing with their food is what they were doing.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
Cam Ward only twelve for twenty eight hundred and twelve yards.
They just hung around and I remember because, like I said,
the Lake games, I was locked in on my Niners,
but I had.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
The other TV on. I was like, Oh, the Packers' Lions.
That was a blowout.

Speaker 5 (03:47):
Cam Ward's passes were on point. On his final drive
to try to go down the field, they would have
needed eight to tie, but Ridley dropped a pass right
that was right in his hands. There were a couple
of drops there at the end where cam worrids were
rocketballs too. Yeah, he's trying to, you know, the needle.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
I feel like I just want to try to cover
every game, even if it gets a one little shout
out I don't want to leave anyone's team out, but
a game that was to me, the score alone makes
you feel like, was it that exciting? The Rams fourteen
Houston Texans nine. That game was in my peripheral high
I wasn't even caring much. Was there anything you sawt
of that one?

Speaker 1 (04:21):
dB or no?

Speaker 4 (04:22):
Just all the Rams had a big interception at the end, right,
big turnover at the end, and yeah, it was fourteen
to nine.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
It was a close game. I was watching some of it.
I was watching it on Red Zone.

Speaker 6 (04:33):
The Texans concerns that you had coming into the season
showed themselves yesterday again. Couldn't get into the end zone.
You just mentioned that kicking the field goals as well,
But they had an opportunity kind of like the Seahawks late,
but Dario Gumbalwalle had the ball knocked out of his
hands as they were driving for a possible go ahead score.

(04:54):
And then on a third and nine you put the
ball in Stafford's hands and hits Pookinakua and that's the
end of it. But I mean, I think the Texans
are going to be okay. Their questions were with the
offense last year. With the offensive line, and I don't
think that those questions have been answered.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
This Oh I got one other game.

Speaker 4 (05:09):
The big highlight was him getting stitched up in the
middle of the game and coming back. Do you see
him all beating all over the place?

Speaker 1 (05:16):
I thought?

Speaker 2 (05:17):
Another game that again wasn't that exciting. But the Cardinals
slipping by the Saints twenty to thirteen. Did you see
yo at the end Rattler had he threw a dime
and Buddha Baker punches it out as as the receivers
falling in the end zone in that final like few
seconds of the game. So would have been a cool
moment for the Saints. But again that's a game where

(05:38):
I'm like, are the Cardinals?

Speaker 1 (05:39):
De said?

Speaker 2 (05:39):
Are the Saints not that bad? That was like a
game where again I learned nothing, I felt.

Speaker 5 (05:43):
You know, A quick question for all of you new faces,
new places. Did you see any players where you're like, Oh, yeah,
that's where they're that's the city they're in now, Like
I saw Cooper Cup playing for Dan's Seahawks and he
looks strange in that uniform.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
Oh when last night when the announcers cant be I'm like,
welcome to Buffalo, Joey Bosa.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
He's wearing number ninety seven.

Speaker 5 (06:04):
You know, Andy would.

Speaker 6 (06:05):
Recognize Cooper Cup because he was on the wrong side
of the chains, so he was sure when he was
at Rams he always got that extra yard.

Speaker 4 (06:11):
That's a funny question, Danny. He's like, who did look
the weirdest? Like, oh, yeah, the big Oh yeah, look
at him. I'm trying to think who that was for
me yesterday.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
I mean, we've seen we've seen Sam Darnold in a
ton of uniforms at this point, but yesterday, I'm like, oh,
there is look at them for the Seahawks.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
And then tonight, what are we going to see tonight? Anything?
I'm just wondering.

Speaker 4 (06:29):
If nothing crazy tonight, we're going to wrap it up
with your phone calls, things that made you go, hmmm,
we're one week into it. Monday Night football tonight. Rich'll
give you his take his picks tonight. But something again,
non football related. I know we're focusing on the NFL,
but we kind of forgot what happened?

Speaker 1 (06:46):
Was it Friday night?

Speaker 4 (06:47):
Because we're so caught up in football and it was
so great to have it back. But Yamamoto being so
close to a no hitter, and then to lose that game.

Speaker 1 (06:57):
But the fact that Jackson.

Speaker 4 (06:58):
Holiday teed off with two outs to break up the
no hitter bring up old stuff because that's the thing, right, we.

Speaker 5 (07:04):
Talk about the Yankees cheating scandal times.

Speaker 4 (07:06):
I know they're tipping pitches. That's a big story too. Now,
Danny G's right, but with all the football excitement, BET's canceled.
You kind of yeah, but you kind of lose that
story and you're like, yo, that was so wild man.
That made me go because how do you have a
no hitter going into the last inning right one way
and then.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
You lose that game.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
The Orioles n't even like to The Orioles are a
losing team to Honestly, some people may have missed it because.

Speaker 4 (07:32):
You're out and about. You're out and about Friday night.
You're chilling, you're getting your weekend started, you're excited about
football or whatever. The Dodgers had a no hitter with
two outs in the ninth and they let up a
home yam a mode let up a home run to
Jackson Holiday. Props to Holiday, but then you lose the game.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
That's like the worst part of the I think you
could always second guests the managers in baseball more than
any other sport.

Speaker 1 (07:54):
Well maybe they have football tips every sport.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
Really, let's be honest, but like, you'll give Yamamoto one
more batter to just try to finish off the game.

Speaker 5 (08:03):
Like you're talking about Dave Roberts, who questionably is the
worst manager to have in a situation like that when
he's throwing a no hitter.

Speaker 2 (08:13):
Oh, like, really, just give him one more Let let's
let Yamamoto get a chance.

Speaker 1 (08:17):
At the complete game, which is rare. Now, one more
batter would have killed you.

Speaker 4 (08:19):
I only bring that up, Danny g not to rub
it in because personally, I would have liked to have
seen Yamamoto do it right. I feel like the Dodgers
needed something and it would have been cool if he
got some shine in that moment living in Sho Hayes's shadows.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
Well that was unsimultaneously with the Chiefs Chargers. So Danny
calls from friends like you'll turn on the Dodgers.

Speaker 5 (08:38):
Yeah, both football and baseball group chats were going.

Speaker 1 (08:41):
To Karen ball Snatcher. I'm serious.

Speaker 4 (08:43):
Between Karen Ball Snatchers, the biggest story in sports between
all the NFL. Like that story almost got lost in
the mix, and to me, that was like, oh my god,
two outs, that's the worst because you're rooting for that
at that point outside looking at you're rooting for the
no hitter. So that happened made me say hmm. Over
the weekend, I did question Dave Roberts' decision making there.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
You know what, Let's say, one more NFL call from
Greg in Vegas. Then I do have one quick baseball thing,
and I do we have to talk about dig was interesting.
Let's go to Greg.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
What's up? Greg? Hey? Greg?

Speaker 7 (09:19):
Hey, gentlemen, thanks for having me on. My moment for
this weekend was watching everybody throw dirt on Aaron Rodgers
and then him come out looking pricking vintage. Do you
think that might be something to look forward to for
the remainder of the season or was that a one
and done game?

Speaker 1 (09:35):
Bro, I'm not.

Speaker 2 (09:37):
I am by I'm the last person on any sports
network to ever be the I told you so guy,
because I think that's lamee broadcasting.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
I really do. But usually you don't like the people
that do that.

Speaker 2 (09:47):
Yeah, I'm not told you so, but I've never relented
on the fact that Aaron Rodgers. I don't think he's done.
I just think that I think he's got something, lest
I think he's still.

Speaker 5 (09:57):
Got You've been saying Richie's gonna have a comeback for
three straight seasons, so you're going to be right eventually
going to stick with.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
It until he finally retired.

Speaker 4 (10:04):
That's an interesting game because I don't know how to
assess either team or the Jets that good because they
looked explosive.

Speaker 2 (10:09):
So I think the Jet fans should have something to
look forward to. They lost on a sixty year field goal,
and I think Aaron Rodgers vintage four tuddies. I mean,
how can you argue that he had a good game.
So I think the NFL is so many great storylines.

Speaker 4 (10:21):
By the way, hold on, there was luck involved in
some of these wins that we talked about forty nine
maybe a missed field goal the forty nine ers, the
catch that DK Metcalf had that was come on, that
was absolute luck. If that didn't happen, they wouldn't have
been set up in that situation.

Speaker 2 (10:37):
I think that for the forty nine ers, I think
if I'm Dan Bayer, he said it right. The forty
nine ers had they controlled the clock, they controlled everything
they played better yesterday, But the Seahawks should have stole
that game because the Niners couldn't capitalize, and that throw
by Perty, like you said, it was a second touchdown
game winner could very well and should have been a

(10:57):
batted down pass or a pick in the end zone.

Speaker 6 (10:59):
I think it's funny that the warts that the forty
nine Ers fans maybe were used to and the warts
that Seahawks fans were used to both were present in
yesterday's game. So neither team comes away with it feeling
good because those warts are still there even if one
team won the game, which was your team. So I
think the things that maybe you're concerned about we were
prevalent and that's what bothers you. But they were the

(11:21):
better team throughout the ayah, I think the.

Speaker 1 (11:23):
Niners will be okay.

Speaker 2 (11:24):
The big concern Jennings and they just got Kendrick Bourne,
and I'm hoping for like a Tyreek Hill and a
trade down the line or something. But the big concern
right now would be Kittle because if they were very
quick to rule him out like he's out for the game,
I worry that that hamstring is like a four week thing,
Like I don't know if they have a report yet, Dan,
but as of now, I'd be very concerned how that
MRI turns out, because if you lose Kiddy. Feel about McCaffrey, though,

(11:48):
seemed to be solid after all that thirty one touches.

Speaker 1 (11:50):
I mean, for a guy that thirty.

Speaker 2 (11:52):
One touches and that offense runs off of him, I
really feel as long as McCaffrey's healthy, the Niners could
sort of play with anyone. I'm saying, but the means
a contender right now, they can play with anyone. McCaffrey's
not in that lineup. I think that team stinks.

Speaker 4 (12:06):
Now, this might be a discussion in itself, and we'll
still take your phone calls.

Speaker 1 (12:09):
Things that made you go.

Speaker 2 (12:12):
Robert Sala did have that defense looking fired up though.
I love the return of Robert Sala.

Speaker 4 (12:17):
But Stefan Diggs is also in the news, and it's
about starting fresh and starting new Rich. I know you
found this to be quite interesting. It's about his relationship
with the media and how to handle it as a professional.

Speaker 2 (12:31):
Yeah, I think that there's such a thing about such
a thing fresh starts. Sometimes it's it's hard to be like, hey, listen,
we've had our ups and downs, let's start fresh and
Stefan Diggs addressed the media yesterday.

Speaker 1 (12:44):
He is a little snippet of it.

Speaker 8 (12:45):
Obviously, I haven't talked much in camp. Appreciate your patience.
I just try to take this time to be focused,
get my mind right, get my body right. But I
do kind of want to address some things far like
that happened throughout camp obviously to y'all look at the
media as a whole, and I kind of want to
post something as professional as possible, So Phil and Tom

(13:07):
if I don't want to, I don't want to mistake
in the say their wrong names.

Speaker 5 (13:11):
But my words.

Speaker 8 (13:11):
I have some some conversations and I had some interviews
throughout camp, and some of my words are misconstrued and
you know, kind of taken out of context, and I
think I would referred to as a pain in the ass. Obviously,
I don't want to come across as that. I want
to be very clear. I'm an adult. I apologize. I'm
not up here to ego trip. I'm not up here to,
you know, rub anybody the wrong way or say anything

(13:34):
for a clickbait. Well forward, I kind of want to
get things off on the right foot. We're gonna spend
a lot of time together, and I kind of want
to give obviously a good interview if I'm asked questions.
You know, hopefully this relationship can grow and we build
on something special. You knows to be a long season.
So we're gonna spend a lot of time together.

Speaker 2 (13:49):
They're gonna spend a lot of time together, and him
addressing the local Patriots media and the national NFL media saying, hey, listen,
if anything I've done has been misconstrued, and I've come
across as a in the s, I.

Speaker 1 (14:01):
Don't want that to be. Let's start freshman, starting new Hey.

Speaker 2 (14:04):
We got we got eighteen weeks of football and hopefully
the playoffs to be together. And I think, how do
you argue that mature approach by Stefan Diggs was in
the past?

Speaker 1 (14:13):
I don't then, you know that. I think that's exactly
what it is.

Speaker 4 (14:15):
I think it sounds like a guy who's in his
eleventh year in the league. Sure, it sounds like a
guy who's matured. He's thirty one years old. He's not
one of these kids anymore. So he doesn't necessarily even
have to play by their rules either. So if he
came across like a pain in the ass. He's just
addressing it. Sorry, I'm not a perfect dude, but I'm
gonna do my best and let's let's make it work

(14:36):
from here on in.

Speaker 1 (14:37):
I think he handled it perfectly.

Speaker 2 (14:38):
I think he was insinuating that when he's in camp,
he's not the most successible because he's in his own
and he's like, if that, if that make that made
me appear to be an a hole, not the case.
I'm not a pain in the ass. I'm not a jerk.
But hey, listen, we have a whole season together. Let's
do good things. I want to get. He went on
to say, I want to give good answers in interviews.
I don't want to give you the BS answers. So

(14:59):
I think you such maturity there from a he said
thirty one year old Steffan dig So, I thought that
was something that made me go, hmmmmm. This past weekend, Evan,
you nailed it.

Speaker 3 (15:08):
Man.

Speaker 1 (15:09):
We went over a lot. And I hate to say this.

Speaker 2 (15:12):
You know, Big Mike's panthers, they still look like they're struggling.
Either that or maybe this is the year Trevor Lawrence
and that team atn looked like he had some good
bursts like that. There's a I'm so confused if the
Panthers could ever really get good. Bryce Young looked like
he was at year three now and it doesn't look

(15:32):
like things have really gotten much better. Dan, is there
any anything you're seeing out of Bryce Young?

Speaker 6 (15:38):
And they were dealing with the weather delay yesterday. But
that's a tough game because Jacksonville's not in that different
of a situation. Even though Trevor Lawrence has a few
more years on Bryce Young, you're kind of hoping, all right,
what's gonna happen? Liam Cohen makes his debut. Yeah, that
was a tough one. I expected a little bit more
from the Panthers considering how they finished last year.

Speaker 2 (15:58):
We yeah, we talked about how like that division so
wide open because no one's that dominant and for all
you know, the crazy story'd be like the Panthers compete,
But after yesterday they just look like flat.

Speaker 4 (16:06):
I would say that was a good tone setter for
But Trevor Lawrence needed a game to start off that
way and get on the right foot. A lot of
pressure on him, even a lot of talk about how
his stats have declined and if he doesn't turn it around,
this year. At what point do you consider him. I
don't want to say a bust, but he's got to
step up this year being that he's falling off the

(16:29):
past few. So a nice win for them, and we're
gonna play a game. Speaking of football, we have Showtime
Mahomes Trivia next your chance to win some prizes and
we're gonna get you ready for Monday Night football tonight.

Speaker 2 (16:43):
Now something I want to get to also coming up
while we get a contestant for Showtime Mahomes Trivia, Karen
Bollsnatcher eight seven.

Speaker 1 (16:51):
What do we niner in there? Yeah? Is there a
niner in there?

Speaker 5 (16:57):
An iou for a NERF football?

Speaker 1 (16:59):
That's see. And their football prize is a good one.

Speaker 2 (17:01):
I want to just touch on baseball, and we're gonna
talk about Karen ball Snatcher for a second. But when
you look at the National League, Danny g my Met
fan friends are constantly.

Speaker 1 (17:10):
Well, the Mets gonna blow.

Speaker 2 (17:11):
This is someone gonna catch up to them because the
Giants are playing hot baseball, though they did lose two
in a row. The Giants and the Dodgers play seven
games against each other over the final nineteen. Can you,
as a Dodgers fan, assure me, hot baseball, Can you
assure me that your Dodgers won't let the Giants catch
up to my Mets?

Speaker 1 (17:31):
Can you assure me that absolutely not.

Speaker 2 (17:34):
So you think the Giants Dodgers slide, but they play Dodgers,
they can be so inconsistent this season, I said to
my buddies, I go, the Giants are.

Speaker 4 (17:44):
Dodgers are three and seven in their last ten. The
Giants are four behind the Mets for that wildcard. And
I said, the Giants still have to play the Dodgers
seven games. I'm like, I live in La guys, these
my East Coast friends.

Speaker 2 (17:55):
I said, did Dodgers best case scenario the Giants win
four out of seven?

Speaker 1 (18:01):
The Giants they can't. They can't.

Speaker 5 (18:03):
The Dodgers have a losing record since the All Star Break.

Speaker 2 (18:06):
Oh my god, that's wild. And the Padres one game behind.
It's wild because if if all these teams play five
hundred the fire all the way through, nothing changes, like,
well one of these teams Cavino ruin the party and
go get real.

Speaker 1 (18:20):
Hot or what. Man, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (18:22):
I think I do think the Giants are a team
to watch out for. I'm worried for your Dodgers, Danny G.
I mean, not like to the point where I'm losing sleep,
but they look terrible. Rich's Mets are sliding big time.
The NL is just up for grabs, but especially the
NL East and especially the NL West. And if you
look at the AL East, it's just as bad, dude.

(18:43):
The Yankees and the Blue Jays are so close, and
the rede you're looking at.

Speaker 2 (18:46):
The blue Jays are only two games better than the Yankees.
The Blue Jays and the Tigers are only two games
better than the Yankees, and the Yankees played terrible for
a month of the year. The best team in the
American League, best team is gonna win what ninety three games,
maybe ninety four games.

Speaker 4 (19:03):
And don't sleep on the Mariners in the West, because
the Astros really aren't that great, and the Mariners only
two and a half games behind. If they could just
get hot, if they could find some pitching, they got
the bats to go. But do you realize that Seattle's
only one and a half games up on that third
final wildcard. So now, if the Mariners can find themselves,

(19:23):
the Mariners could find themselves out if they don't step up.
I just want to remind people while we're all hyped
up about football and how great the NFL season has felt.

Speaker 1 (19:31):
One week, wild card is definitely looking one. The fact
that on your.

Speaker 2 (19:34):
Off days when you're not watching football, the fact that
you're down to the final under twenty games in the
Major League Baseball season and wildcards are upper grabs.

Speaker 4 (19:42):
Every division seems within reach. Yeah, the third one is
the only division that seems locked up is Detroit and
the Brewers. Besides that, and then Philadelphia has beat the Mets.
But half the divisions are for grabs and all the
wildcards are in disarray. So great baseball, great football, and
we'll get a winner. Next, we're gonna play a game

(20:02):
showtime ma Homes Trivia again. If you want to end eight,
seven to seven, nine to nine on Fox, we do
it next. It's multiple choice, It's easy.

Speaker 1 (20:10):
More could be none Rich on Fox Sports Radio.

usual suspects. We'll be there in the end. In fact,
you're going to see the rematch next week. Bring on
the Eagles, let's go. I ain't worried about Herbert Schmerbert.
Ain't worried about it first week. You know what I'm
capable of. Did you say, Herbert Sherbert, Herbert Schmerbert, Oh
you got care. I'm not riding the high train. It's

(23:17):
the first week. I hate Kelsey, real nice. We're just
getting warmed up. Don't worry about it. It's roy Ron
about the bills and the Ravens. It all comes back
to us. We're still the chiefs. Ain't sweating it.

Speaker 5 (23:29):
Week one, still with his chest oelt Let's meet the
contestant's twenty four times hear it?

Speaker 1 (23:33):

(23:56):
El Dorado, California or Omaha, Nebraska.

Speaker 6 (23:59):
Well, we're in Texas last week, so I'm sorry, lone
star state. We're not going to go there, but we
are going to keep it in the South. We're going
to Mississippi. Guys going to.

Speaker 5 (24:07):
The sip Christy the old man, Hey Christy? How are
you great? How are you good? What do you do
for a living there?

Speaker 3 (24:17):
In Jackson?

Speaker 7 (24:18):
I am a retail manager.

Speaker 5 (24:21):
Show Hey Mama, All right here you're married Patrick. Here
are the rules for show Time Mahomes nfl TA. The
first contestant with two correct answers is the champ. If
there's a tie, we have a tie breaker question. Your
name is your buzzer, but you do have to wait
until all three possible answers are read. If there's two
wrong answers in a row, we move on to the
next question.

Speaker 4 (24:39):
Are you ready all right, I'm here, Patrick Holmes, I'm here,
I'm ready, and can I shout out Karen ball Snatcher
real quick? She got good hands, so Andy Reid, you know,
get her number of this. Go Karen ball Snatcher.

Speaker 1 (24:50):
All right?

Speaker 4 (24:51):
So Patrick mahomes here, no lot about these games?

Speaker 1 (24:53):
But which super.

Speaker 4 (24:54):
Bowl was the first to broadcast in high definition?

Speaker 2 (24:58):
Hey?

Speaker 4 (24:59):
Super Bowl thirty three Broncos Falcons, b Super Bowl thirty
four Rams Titans or ce Super Bowl thirty five Ravens Giants.

Speaker 7 (25:10):
Christie Christy.

Speaker 5 (25:13):
B Yes, wow, Bama board like that.

Speaker 2 (25:19):
I was drunk in college. I don't know what it
looked like.

Speaker 5 (25:23):
High death in Super Bowl thirty four. All right, we
move on to round two. Christy halfway to a see
in our prize?

Speaker 4 (25:29):
All right, I'm busy, but I'm here, Patrick mahomes. What
was I once quoted saying about believing? Don't stop don't
stop believing. Hey, I don't believe in our team's excellence
until I see it on the field. B always believe
in greatness unless you're the only team in the division
of lose, thanks uh or I believe in save the

(25:56):
best for last. See. Believe in yourself and all that
you are.

Speaker 5 (26:02):
Dan Buyer got it there, I heard Dan.

Speaker 6 (26:05):
I'm gonna say, see, yes, I've.

Speaker 4 (26:08):
Always said it yourself and all that you are. Something
my dad told me. I always say it. Got that, Christy,
remember it and believe it. Believe yourself and all that
you are. Everybody what's doing. Dad's great, family's great. Thanks
for asking.

Speaker 5 (26:23):
Your dad said, believe in my story. All right, we're
going to go to round three now. Christy and dbat
both on the board.

Speaker 4 (26:29):
All right, this is like uh Bill's Ravens last night.
Is a close one. Al Right, Okay, I hate these
things more than I n t's. Who has the record
for most sacks in the game? Hey, Bruce Smith bat
Derek Thomas or c Khalil Mack.

Speaker 5 (26:47):
Christy, Oh, Christy for the win? Hey no, Rich Rich
for the steal. B Yes, sir, you didn't sound confident,
but it is.

Speaker 4 (26:58):
B Derek Thomas seven against Buyer Seahawks in nineteen ninety
when you were rocking your mushroom haircut.

Speaker 6 (27:05):
Just for the record, Patrick Mahomes, that was the game
where Dave Kraig eluded Derek Thomas for the eighth sack
and threw a touchdown to Paul Scancy at the end
of the game to win a game at Arrowhead in
the sunshine on a Sunday afternoon on the old artificial turf, there.

Speaker 1 (27:23):
Was still seven sacks see here, But.

Speaker 6 (27:27):
There wasn't an eighth, Patrick, there wasn't an eighth.

Speaker 5 (27:29):
A right, all right, three way tie Christy, dB and
rich as we go to round four?

Speaker 1 (27:34):
All right, round four? Patrick Mahomes.

Speaker 4 (27:36):
What former Packers O Liman later took the Bengals to
the Super Bowl as their head coach A Paul Brown,
b Bruce Coslet or see Forrest Gregg. What former Packers
O Liman later took the Bengals to the Super Bowl?

Speaker 2 (27:53):
All right, Christy se is correcting?

Speaker 1 (27:58):
You walk away winning? Wow?

Speaker 4 (28:01):
So besteen Niners beat the Bengals twenty six twenty one.

Speaker 5 (28:07):
Congratulations, Christy. We are gonna mail a cn our nerve
football out you there in Jackson, Mississippi, as soon as
the order of balls arrive.

Speaker 1 (28:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (28:15):
Oh, unless Karen snatches it, unless, of course, Karen the
ball snatcher gets to him first. Yes, I just want
to warn you that's always a possibility. And hey, guys,
look out for me. Week two, chiefs Baby usual suspects.
We're gonna be at the top. We're at the bottom
right now. That's okay, all right?

Speaker 5 (28:33):
Later dog, yeah, last last place, and he still holds
his head high.

Speaker 1 (28:38):
Later big doglitter guys. Big dog.

Speaker 2 (28:40):
By the way, que had big Dog to the list
of a couple weeks ago when we talked about names
you hate being called by other men.

Speaker 1 (28:45):
I hate big Dog, big Dog, by the way.

Speaker 4 (28:47):
It's great to see Patrick all positive and hyped up
even though they're in last place.

Speaker 1 (28:51):
Yeah. So hey, props to Christy to that was great.

Speaker 4 (28:55):
Yo.

Speaker 2 (28:56):
I'm not trying to get down on Patrick and his Chiefs,
even though they did ruin my forty nine or Super
Bowl dreams two times in the last five years.

Speaker 4 (29:03):
Patrick showed some magic in Week one. Yeah no, but
I'm saying some Patrick Mahomes style plays.

Speaker 2 (29:08):
I'm just saying, playing against the Chiefs, playing against the
Eagles week two, and then week three, who did the
Chiefs play.

Speaker 1 (29:16):
Let's think I just want to schedule watch for a second.
I got you. They got Eagles. Now now they play the.

Speaker 2 (29:19):
Giants side that that should be a win, but they
could very well start and then that would be one
and two, and then week four the.

Speaker 4 (29:26):
Chiefs play the Baltimore. Ravens, oh snap yo at Kansas City.

Speaker 1 (29:31):
There is a chance that after four weeks Patrick's one
and three. I don't know, man, We'll see.

Speaker 4 (29:39):
I'm just saying, like dB pointed out before, sometimes, you know,
as good as the Bills were, sometimes they have trouble
with the Chiefs. It doesn't matter, Ravens, It's not going
to be walking to park for them.

Speaker 1 (29:51):
We'll see what happens.

Speaker 2 (29:52):
Well, I want to talk a little baseball, but first
let's go to Dan Buyer for an update and we'll
talk about Karen ball Snatcher for a second.

Speaker 6 (29:58):
What's up, dB, Well, it's up fellas tonight Bears vikings
from Chicago. Week one wraps up. But the Bears are
going to be a bit shorthanded. There's going to be
no Jalen Johnson, the cornerback's not going to play because
of calf and groin injuries. Bears also making some news
in another fashion. In an open letter to fans to
start the season, Bears president Kevin Warren says the team

(30:20):
is focusing on building a new stadium outside of the
city of Chicago and continue focus on building the new
indoor facility in Arlington Heights. Illinois, where they purchased three
hundred and twenty six acres in twenty twenty three. The
hope is for Super Bowls Final fours other development around
the stadium, but Warrent saying today that they are now
moving to focus on the Arlington Heights project and nothing

(30:43):
within the city of Chicago Giants said. Coach Brian Daviles
said this about his starting quarterback for Week two.

Speaker 1 (30:48):
Do you intend to start Russell Wilson this week?

Speaker 5 (30:50):
Yes, It's a tough game.

Speaker 8 (30:52):
Again, like I said yesterday, that game wasn't just doesn't
fall on Russell Wilson. You had to do a better
job collectively coaching, playing, But Russe will be the start.

Speaker 6 (31:01):
Giants have the Cowboys in Week two. Jackson Dart will
remain the backup to Russell Wilson. Patrick Mahomes target Xavier
Worthy considered day to day with his shoulder injury that
he suffered against the Chargers on Friday. That's according to
head coach Andy Reid. Right now, the team is choosing
rest and rehab over surgery for Worthy. College football note,
Michigan associated coach Biff Poge will serve as the Wolverines

(31:23):
interim head coach as Sharon Moore serves his two game suspension.
Phillis plays Tray Turner and Alec Bohm on the IL.
As for Turner, a grade one hamstring strain, team hopes
he'll be back by the end of the regular season. Guys,
back to you, Thanks.

Speaker 2 (31:34):
T Did you see that stupid meme where it's like
Travis Kelcey hit Worthy on purpose because Kaylas Swift was
a little too excited talking about Worthy in the podcast.

Speaker 1 (31:44):
Got to be true. It's gotta be true. Gotta be true.

Speaker 2 (31:47):
By the way, we're gonna talk about tonight in a
few minutes. I have a great pick for tonight's Monday
night football game. I think it's not a no brainer,
but I like it and I'll explain next, but real quick.
Karen ball Snatcher, number one trend thing over the weekend.
The woman who you know what I compared to This
story is amazing. There was one time we were on
a flight and our video guy Spot had an old

(32:09):
lady take his luggage out of the overhead bin and
throw it in the aisle of the plane.

Speaker 1 (32:16):
Yeah, she called She called him Buster and said, that's
my space Buster.

Speaker 2 (32:22):
Assuming that just because there's people that think the space
above your seat is like, no, your space, first come
first serve.

Speaker 1 (32:29):
I'm Zone one, Yeah, so beat it, first come first serf.
This woman thought, because the ball bounced in her area
and it was right within her reach, that it was hers.

Speaker 4 (32:38):
Yeah, and that's a major misconceptsion. And by the way,
it seems to me, she's a pretty big fan. She's
rocking her Phillies gear. I doubt it was her first game,
so to not know the I guess the etiquette here.

Speaker 1 (32:51):
It's anyone's ball, it's not your ball, just because it
was hitting your direction.

Speaker 2 (32:55):
And then when when the guy snags it, brings it
back to his son him in a beautiful moment.

Speaker 1 (33:01):
On his birthday week, the little boy's birthday.

Speaker 2 (33:03):
And then startles him by walking up to him starting
to yell, a man, that strange you guys out because
he yeah, oh, breaking.

Speaker 5 (33:13):
Sorry, breaking news from Fox Sports.

Speaker 6 (33:17):
Se Francisco forty nine ers said coach Kyle Shanahan says
that brock purty status for their game against the Saints
coming up this weekend is in question because of a
shoulder and toe injury suffered in their victory against the Seahawks.
Not only that, Rich Davis and George Kittle is expected
to be sound like multiple weeks because of his hamstring
injury suffered in that win against the Seahawks. As for

(33:40):
Juwan Jennings, Shanahan said that the MRI was okay, CT
scan next on that injured shoulder?

Speaker 1 (33:46):
Wow?

Speaker 2 (33:47):
Any other news dB hold on the Kittle thing? Just
did want Soto stub his toe? Is Pete alonzo?

Speaker 4 (33:53):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (33:54):
Fatigue?

Speaker 6 (33:54):
Did I have named the Niners that weren't injured? Is
that would have been?

Speaker 4 (33:58):
You had to figure the Kittle thing, right, I figured
that if you get two three weeks, I think you're good.
You didn't hear four to six. The party thing is
concerning the party thing is yeah, it's it's but again,
here's the positive. And I was thinking about this with
the Kittle thing. It's week one, dude, right, So if
you want to deal with some minor injuries, now's the time.

Speaker 2 (34:17):
Also, when your week two matchup is against the Saints,
who most people in this network rank the worst in
the NFL.

Speaker 4 (34:23):
You talked about their schedule a million times. They have
a lighter schedule, So if you're gonna deal with these injuries,
now's the time. All right, Well, listen we'll we'll wrap
up our thoughts on Karen ball Snatcher. And again it's
just the story that's sweeping the nation, and I'm just
what is it with that haircut? Does does the does

(34:44):
the haircut define the personality? Does the personality define the haircut?

Speaker 6 (34:47):
We got it.

Speaker 1 (34:47):
We got a few months.

Speaker 2 (34:48):
I think of this thought and we'll do our We'll
do our Monday night pick and thoughts on Karen ball Snatcher.

Speaker 1 (34:52):
But ask yourself this, do Karens know their Karens? Well,
this lady knows now because the w oh world is
talking about it. Think about it. We'll get through it
next right here on Fox Sports Radio. All right, what
a weekend. Let's have a great week everybody.

got to hear his stories. And Ryan, thank you for
being here. Elijah on Spot, thanks for doing all the
video stuff. And Dan Bayern just thanks for being Dan
Byer and Rich. Yes, who had a better ball snatch
over the weekend? Karen or your boy Jake Tonks.

Speaker 1 (36:06):
It's a good question. I think Karen ball snatcher.

Speaker 2 (36:08):
And you know what I thought about when Dan Buyer
broke the news that brought perties a little banged up
and perty Perty's you know, week two status is questionable.
Mac Jones had a hell of a preseason and people
are talking about mac Jones is a really if you
had to have a backup play against the Saints, Mac
Jones is no slouch.

Speaker 1 (36:25):
I think the Niners have a steal with Matt Jones.

Speaker 4 (36:27):
And it's a It's a great opportunity for him and
a great team to play against. I think I think
you'll have a good game with him.

Speaker 5 (36:33):
How about Hopkins one handed?

Speaker 4 (36:36):
That was awesome. That was definitely a was it a
stab a snag or it.

Speaker 1 (36:41):
Was it was a snag?

Speaker 2 (36:42):
But ye. But but to wrap up the Karen thing,
the memes out of control. I just posted one that
it was hilarious. It was it's a book. I'm like,
I'm gonna read this to my kids tonight. The Berenstain
Bears meet a Karen. Like the videos and clips.

Speaker 4 (36:54):
Went nuts with this story, I guess because everybody wants
to see a Karen put in their place.

Speaker 1 (36:59):
She knows she's Karen.

Speaker 4 (37:00):
Here's the thing, haircut when she chooses that haircut, But
then it poses another question. Do karens choose the haircut
or does the haircut choose the Karen.

Speaker 1 (37:10):
I don't know. But here's the thing.

Speaker 4 (37:13):
And I got a credit KFC from barstool, but I
was thinking the same thing. So I'll say, hey, I
thought this. We all hate a Karen, right yeah, And
we could all hate on her in.

Speaker 1 (37:25):
That moment like what is she doing? What is that about?
She's the worst.

Speaker 4 (37:30):
But then when web sleuth's try to find out who
she is and we want to cancel her and get
her fired and essentially ruin her life.

Speaker 1 (37:36):
That's terrible. You're no better than a Karen.

Speaker 4 (37:39):
So it's like you're being what you sort of are
supposed to hate at that moment.

Speaker 5 (37:44):
Over the weekend, they tracked down the wrong lady. Yeah
on Facebook.

Speaker 1 (37:47):
Yeah, she's like. So she's like, I just have a
terrible haircut. It's not me. I just sorry. I'll change
my hair.

Speaker 4 (37:55):
So we need to be better than Karen's. And yes,
we could all collectively hate her and laugh and point
your finger and like, don't be But when you try
to ruin her life, like, when are we satisfied? When
she jumps off a bridge, Like I said to Covino,
it sounds terrible, I go, but what if this woman
that killed herself? Like we gotta take it east a
little bit right, But the reality is the embarrassment for
a weekend is enough.

Speaker 1 (38:14):
Let does this woman live her life?

Speaker 5 (38:15):
Now?

Speaker 2 (38:16):
She's been humiliated enough. Now as far as tonight goes,
we have a Monday night football game and Danny, you
hit me up with the memes, so it's got to
be true. But I believe it because he is from Illinois.
The McCarthy family is coming out to play tonight. JJ
McCarthy's dad said that he is around two hundred to
two hundred and fifty friends and family. What that will

(38:36):
be in attendance for his son's first ever NFL game
near his hometown Monday night.

Speaker 1 (38:41):
No pressure.

Speaker 2 (38:41):
You talk about a kid, the troum Illinois Chicago kid
makes his debut for the Vikings tonight in front of
not only Soldier Field, who's gonna be booing him hoping
that Kayleb Williams could show some stuff. JJ McCarthy's gonna
have hundreds of think about it, it's like a wedding.
It is two hundred fifty people, a couple hundred people
that love you and care about you in the state
watching so and one person will bring a toaster and

(39:04):
one person will be wearing overalls.

Speaker 1 (39:05):
Because there's always like mutant family members that show up
with a straw hat on. What do you call them again?
The other the others? Every family has like the others
and they come out of the woodwork. You know who
the others are?

Speaker 2 (39:13):
The others? Every family has them. It's the person that
the family members you're embarrassed by. Yeah, it appears that
they don't know how to dress for a wedding. The others,
they are the ones that you don't really talk about
when you talk about family.

Speaker 4 (39:23):
So you're gonna see JJ McCarthy's like weird family members
that come.

Speaker 1 (39:26):
Out with like, yeah, we're here FORJ.

Speaker 2 (39:29):
Like great Uncle Hank from who's like Decater, Illinois, who
comes there, like, oh, Uncle Bartlett's gonna be like, oh,
here for JJ.

Speaker 1 (39:36):
He's my great nephew. So enjoy that.

Speaker 4 (39:38):
You got the Bears Minnesota at the Bears tonight. Any
good picks for tonight, Rich, I simply just like, I
like the Viking's money line. I think it's so hard
to pick, but I'm just really gonna roll off the
momentum of McCarthy. And we forget that other than Sam
Darnold laying an egg in the playoffs, and.

Speaker 2 (39:56):
Remember remember that tea was thirteen to four. We forget
the Vikings were really good, really good. JJ McCarthy is
who they mortgage their future on, right. They want this guy.

Speaker 4 (40:04):
They feel like he's the dude how they were on Donald,
So to be that high on Donald and then move
on to McCarthy, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (40:11):
Coaching is great. The team, you know, is projected to
be pretty decent. I just think that JJ McCarthy shows
you something tonight. I'm not saying Kayle Williams is trash tonight.
I just think that in a close game, it's like
a point spread difference. It's like, I think you just
go money line and what's the over under on adult
toys in the w NBA. Oh no, this is not WNBA.

Speaker 6 (40:31):
How is that?

Speaker 1 (40:32):
This is the NFL.

Speaker 5 (40:33):
It started in the w NBA, now it's moved onto
the NFL.

Speaker 1 (40:36):
Oh wow.

Speaker 5 (40:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (40:37):
Yeah, we spent a good ten minute trying to figure
out how to say that on the air. Adult toys
is a good old toys. Yeah, well, the Dorees a
moneyline bet and different props you can make.

Speaker 1 (40:45):
Let's go over this tomorrow, said by the way, a
marital aid.

Speaker 4 (40:50):
Yes, yes, we will talk about marital aids and adult
toys in sports tomorrow and more trivia, more prizes. But yeah,
let's all watch the game and enjoy, and we'll discuss
Maniana and let's go Mets.

Speaker 1 (41:02):
Beat to Phillies. We'll see you a riva deirci baby,
see you in the Promised Land. Good Bye, guys,
