We got midweek Maje.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
We've got a story about Kelsey but first and first
mostly we be rocking out. Hour two, let's go, and
we're gonna talk Trump. What are you sure about that?

Speaker 1 (01:09):
Rich?

Speaker 3 (01:09):
Are you about that? I haven't thought about the Donald
and Joe Biden. But it's all light, it's not political.
Don't worry. But you know I said before, how my
Mets are five hundred. I don't know if I've ever
seen this. They're so five hundred they can't be more
five hundred, meaning they're forty five and forty five. And
have you ever seen this at this point in the season,

(01:32):
you know what they're run differential is.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
Zero?

Speaker 4 (01:37):
Wow?

Speaker 1 (01:38):
Really, they have.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
Scored four hundred and thirty three runs, they've given up
four hundred and thirty three runs. They are as five
hundred as you could get. It's unbelievable, Like, I don't
think I don't think I've ever seen that.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
No, I don't even know what to say about itevble.
I'll give you an Adam shine unbelievable.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
Yankees are plus ninety nine. They've scored ninety nine more
runs than their opponents. But yeah, that's pretty wild, Like
when your team so five hundred that they're run differential
is zero, like you are as average and right down
in the middle as you get huh.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
Are you calling average? I'm an over the top parent.
The heel Monster hit me up during the commercials. He said, guys,
in regards to the Billy Wagner's story, our parents are
Boomers and they're the most selfish generation ever, like known
for being the most selfish. They don't think so though.
That's the crazy part. And I know, like it's hard

(02:32):
for me to say that because my parents were very
giving to me. I was a very spoilt kid. I'm
just talking in general terms right now. They're the most
selfish generation ever. But our parents made Gen X the
over the top parents that we are today.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
That means me.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
That means guys like Billy Wagner, guys like Ludicrous who
are going next level. And that was a fun discussion.
Thank you guys for participating. Continue at Covino and rich
If you missed anything, just check the.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
Now.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
I don't want to harp on this long. I'm gonna
be watching Receiver like everyone else tonight. Eight episodes out,
So you.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
Gotta watch that Knuckleback, that Nickelback documentary on Netflix when
you're done.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
It's pretty download that I'm flying to New York tomorrow,
so I'm gonna download that for the flight.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
But it's called hate to Love.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
It's interesting because they were the biggest rock band of
the two thousands and everybody just ended up loving to
hate those dudes. So that's the story. It's not necessarily
about my love of Nickelback. It's an interesting story that
you might want to check out. I saw that so
after your receiver and catching up on hard Knocks, and
maybe you could check that out, So Receiver.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
One of the miked up moments that's gone a bit
a little viral today was.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
Travis Kelcey talking to George Kittle.

Speaker 3 (03:47):
The two best tight ends in football, arguably they with
the top five to ten.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
Ever, they must work out.

Speaker 3 (03:54):
So it comes out that Travis Kelcey is in citying.
I'm pretty much saying that he paid three milli so
that Taylor could have the sweet at the super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
Must be nice, sounds about right, Must be nice.

Speaker 5 (04:11):
Well, I remember there was speculation because wasn't Olivia Colpo
and family and Christian McCaffrey's faily. Weren't they talking about
like she was getting, you know, some flak because they
thought that she spent that kind of money on a booth,
and she was like, we're not spending money on that,
We're not spending money on a suite.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
So it makes sense.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
I mean, Kelsey makes a pretty penny, but three million
for a sweet You're really you're rolling out the red
carpet for your your new love here.

Speaker 5 (04:41):
I do wonder, though, let me ask you to does
like Taylor Pitcheon because she clearly has a ton of money.

Speaker 4 (04:48):
Is she being like, oh, I'll cover the bill.

Speaker 6 (04:50):
There's another story out today saying that they spend three
hundred thousand dollars a day on their romance.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
The average person, according to a meme, I saw two
hundred and fifty dollars a day, same thing on average,
just sitting around like expenses and meals. That's crazy. That's
a high number.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
That's a high number, but around there when you think
about it, when you think about it, if you.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
Have you're on vacation, regular dinner's like one hundred bucks.

Speaker 5 (05:17):
I've already spent fifteen dollars during the show.

Speaker 3 (05:20):
A lot of people don't make a lot of people
don't make two hundred and fifty dollars.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
That's why everybody's in debt. It's called an average riche.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
Yeah, continue carry on, Travis Kelcey making grand gestures and dude,
that's great, that's grand, that's wonderful. But I'm here to
tell you that although it's a nice thing to do,
and I do think you should go all out when
you found that someone and you're trying to make an impression,
it really doesn't mean a whole lot.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
It really doesn't.

Speaker 3 (05:48):
Well, listen, it's the size of your steeple, right, Like
I remember someone said, can you believe Jay Z spent
millions on something for Beyonce? And my first thought was, yeah,
jay Z spending a couple of mill it's like you
spending a couple hundred. If Travis Kelsey and Taylor Swift
to have a combined net worth of well, mostly because
of her.

Speaker 7 (06:07):
Billions and billions and billions, and I mean, dropping three
mil for a luxury suite seems crazy, but that would
be like I mean, I spent a couple thousand dollars
on a Super Bowl ticket.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
I mean, when you do the math, isn't that sort
of the same thing. Yeah, you're right, it's all relative,
no doubt, no diggity. So this is gonna require some
h Solve for X kind of math. But he just
signed break Out Your TI.

Speaker 5 (06:32):
Just I gotta you know you multiplying cross crossways in
the X. He just signed a two year, thirty four
point two five million dollars deal with seventeen million guaranteed.
So he spent three million of that just to take
his girl to the to the football game. It's not
just any girl, and I understand making.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
So I'm saying, like impression, she made what thirty four
million on her last three shows. I'm sure she had
to pitch it.

Speaker 5 (06:58):
She probably had to say, like, hey, listen, a lot
of my security, a lot of my friends, they're all
going to be there. Ice Spice is going to be
there looking like a little orphan any maybe I'll throw
in a few mill or I'll throw a like aHALF
of it in.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
Look at it this way, look at it this way. Spot.

Speaker 3 (07:12):
If you make let's say one hundred thousand dollars, ten
percent of your salary is ten thousand dollars. If you
make a million dollars, now you're talking about one hundred
thousand dollars. If Travis Kelsey spent three million, and let's
say he makes roughly between endorsements and everything.

Speaker 1 (07:27):
Thirty mili, that's that's still his steep.

Speaker 5 (07:31):
Yeah, he spent ten percent of his salary on one
day steep.

Speaker 8 (07:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
But I again, you do those things to make that impression.
Early on, moved the dude moved the house because Taylor
Swift was dating. Dude, you don't think I did crazy
things and spend money. I didn't have to make great
impressions on the women I was with because you're trying
to win. At that point, you're trying to be like, Yo,
I'm the dude, and this is why, and this is

(07:55):
how much I like you, and like I'm saying, although
it's great and I'm not saying you should do those things,
I don't know if it really means a lot. Like
my ex right, dude did so many grand things, maybe
to overcompensate for other stuff. I have no idea, but
looking back, dude got me sweet ass tickets for me
and my brother to an All Star game, the last

(08:16):
All Star game at Yankee Stadium. So what year was that?
Their last All Star game at the old Yankee Stadium?
Because that meant a lot to me. She bought me, like, dude,
crazy expensive tickets with those tickets and autograph Jeter bat
inside a case in the ball and all these extra
extravagant things.

Speaker 1 (08:36):
But look what ended up happening. Like, does it hold
any weight? Is my point? Does it mean that you
love anybody anymore? I don't know. You know, I don't
think so. I don't think you need to do that.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
I'm not discouraging anyone from showing people that they care,
but I don't think it necessarily means a whole lot.

Speaker 3 (08:55):
Now besides football and gambling and baseball and sports and
pop culture and music. I don't know if you realize
I'm a expert in love.

Speaker 4 (09:05):
Wait, ever, when did this start?

Speaker 1 (09:08):
Oh, it's in my bio, Danny G. I don't know
if you knew that.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
But no, everyone's happen there and run because he's these doctor. Yeah,
they call him doctor Love.

Speaker 4 (09:16):
He told me.

Speaker 3 (09:17):
I'm just saying we've we've discussed these silly things where
I mean not silly, but everyone has their own love language.
Like some people like material things, some people just want
you to spend time with them, some people want physical touch.

Speaker 1 (09:29):
Everyone wants something different.

Speaker 3 (09:30):
So you might have dated someone that's like, I show
my love by buying things and yo, three.

Speaker 1 (09:35):
Mil three MILLI for a suite.

Speaker 3 (09:37):
Even if you're ball and we just did the math,
it's sort of you know, think of your salary. Are
you willing to spend ten percent of your annual income
on something other than like a home or a car?

Speaker 1 (09:51):
No, ask yourself that.

Speaker 4 (09:53):
No, I'm not. Do you think he was exaggerating a
little bit? No?

Speaker 6 (09:57):
No, because I'm looking right now and it says sweets
they are in Vegas. We're eight hundred thousand to a
little over two million, depending on the type of sweet.
And you don't think the NFL would give him any
sort of break. Maybe they because he was in the game.

Speaker 2 (10:10):
No, maybe they jacked up the price because they knew
Taylor Swift was going to be there. I got Swift dollars.

Speaker 1 (10:16):
No, she made them so much money.

Speaker 3 (10:18):
Yeah, she did so much for the league. Maybe maybe
it's an exaggeration. I'm curious to hear you know more
about it. But hey, listen, rich people spend money. Think
about you know, people made a big deal when they
saw Jlo flying commercial because people like that fly private
all the time. You don't think it costs money to
fly private and do all these things. That's why rich
people it seems like, man, they don't have to work ever. Again,

(10:40):
when you live that lifestyle, you need to maintain some
most to.

Speaker 2 (10:43):
Be stravading thing you did, you had to do something because,
as people love to say, rich, you well kicked your coverage.

Speaker 1 (10:50):
Oh well, see, I mean for my wife.

Speaker 3 (10:52):
I mean I was just I was flying to so
we did long distance for a little while, and I
was flying every week to see her. You've done the
same for her, love. I remember the most extravagant thing
I did.

Speaker 1 (11:03):
Oh boy, I'm going to take you back. Let's hear
it from Daddy the early two thousands. Okay, early two thousands.
You're rocking your boot cut looking like Dane Cook. And
my girlfriend had dumped me.

Speaker 3 (11:17):
Oh boy, So I went to k jewelers, Yes, got
her a necklace, went to her dorm room, knocked on
the door and said take me back, and she slammed
the door in my face. Really didn't work salary at
the honestly spot at the time, when I was in college.

Speaker 1 (11:38):
It probably was ten percent of myself.

Speaker 2 (11:40):
I don't know if that's extravagant or just desperate, And
everybody has a desperation moment like that. I think we've
all done something desperate, like did they let you return it?

Speaker 3 (11:50):
No? I said, I drove home crying, Danny j and
uh that's when I got into radio.

Speaker 1 (11:55):
So every slam door in the face begins with K.
Is that the slogan? Yeah? I think it. Every this
week begins with K. I think so.

Speaker 2 (12:03):
So share your stories if you have an extravagant moment, Yo,
you were so head over heels, you did blank, you
went overboard. It's not spending three million for a suite,
I promise you that. But I'm sure we've all done something.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (12:19):
Let me ask.

Speaker 3 (12:20):
Let me ask Monsey Belanos if her or any of
her girlfriends have ever had a guy do something stupid
where it's like, goh, that's too much.

Speaker 1 (12:27):
Stop stop it.

Speaker 9 (12:29):
I mean, I think, like you said, in comparison to
what they make right. So, I did have a friend,
oh who they broke up, and he I think realized
that he was the one that messed up. So he
like bought her Drake tickets and he didn't have any
money and the seats were in the nosebleeds. But it
was like for him, it was like he he he
definitely spent you know, a chunk of his money when

(12:51):
he didn't have it, and then.

Speaker 1 (12:52):
It was like five hundred bucks he didn't have, that
he didn't.

Speaker 9 (12:54):
That he did not have, and he was like definitely
trying to win her back.

Speaker 10 (12:58):
It didn't work, you know what, never does.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
That's a mix of desperation and extravagant considering how much
money he didn't he didn't have, so for.

Speaker 10 (13:06):
Him that was like a lot, you know what I mean?

Speaker 3 (13:08):
Watzi, I have a female friend that every time I
see her with a new piece of extravagant jewelry.

Speaker 10 (13:14):
You're like, what do he do?

Speaker 1 (13:15):
No, the answer is her husband did something.

Speaker 10 (13:18):
I say, what do you do? What do you do?

Speaker 1 (13:20):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (13:20):
Exactly did anytime I see anybody with flowers, like walking
around the street, I'm like, it's either someone's birthday or
anniversary or they're in.

Speaker 9 (13:27):
The dog yep, yeah, you know that those people, by
the end of the day do sell those flowers because
of all those reasons, of all those reasons.

Speaker 1 (13:34):
Hey, perfect, I know you got something to share.

Speaker 11 (13:37):
Yeah, so obviously this isn't me this, but this was
something I saw around me that kind of had me
wondering on this. So no, no, no, no, no, So this
girl I dated was while I was at USC. She
had had a problem with someone else who was also
a student at USC who would not leave her alone.

(13:58):
I think this guy was trying to act nice, but
it was incredibly creepy. He would constantly drop off like
meals for her at her apartment and everything, and like
at one point she actually got me to like just
kind of escort him out of the apartment building.

Speaker 1 (14:11):
Sure, it wasn't like a grub hub guy. No, this
was not. This was not.

Speaker 11 (14:15):
But I remember his last final salvo and this was
after she had told him off and everything was. I
was walking by the apartment complex one day and right
out in front of her door was this giant, seven
foot tall Teddy Bear from one of those like giant teddies,

(14:36):
which I think go for around like three hundred dollars
or so. And I'm like, this is and and like
you know, ralphs and some pre made soup and whatnot.
I'm like, this is creepy as hell. Long story short,
I came by the next day and that thing was
in the trash.

Speaker 1 (14:50):
The trash bin. Poor, that thing was in the dumpster.

Speaker 2 (14:54):
You know, it's women of cold blooded when they're not
interested and it's really done that those gifts and get
this guy.

Speaker 11 (14:59):
This was beyond this was beyond that, like this was
this was a man who was very very unwell. To
keep continuing.

Speaker 1 (15:07):
Here's here's my advice. Again.

Speaker 2 (15:09):
As you see my business card, it says uh, love expert,
like Riches loved. Mine says love tycoon. I'm sorry. You
have to pull these moves when things are good. When
things are bad, it's never gonna resolve the issues or
get her back. And that's our weird fantasy. You just
think you look desperately the weakest. That's when she's like, yeah,

(15:29):
this guy's weak, I'm not interested anymore.

Speaker 11 (15:31):
And the other guy, I mean, there was something there
to begin with. What I'm saying is there was not
This was the move.

Speaker 1 (15:36):
I'm just saying in general.

Speaker 2 (15:37):
And and you gotta do these things when when times
are good.

Speaker 1 (15:42):
That's it. If you're gonna make any impact, that's how
you do it.

Speaker 3 (15:45):
Now, the winner of all time, the winning grand gesture
isn't Taylor Swift getting a three million dollars suite for
the Super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (15:56):
It's not some big teddy bear in a profet's story.

Speaker 3 (15:58):
It's not me buying an exit necklace or your ex
wife Banya Yankees tickets.

Speaker 1 (16:04):
The story as far as like.

Speaker 3 (16:05):
Grand gestures, whether it's good or a desperation move. Was
it Kanye who got Kenny G to play up a
private awkward moment for.

Speaker 5 (16:18):
Kim k Yeah, And I remember he was surrounded by
a bunch of vases so like he couldn't move out
of the room, like he was like surrounded.

Speaker 3 (16:26):
And then he also had he also had a hologram
of her dead father, Like Kanye is a man of
grand gesture.

Speaker 1 (16:33):
Dam but look, see it didn't work. It didn't work.
Doesn't mean a whole lot. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (16:38):
Maybe, like I said, maybe it's over compensation for other things.
Doesn't matter. Those things don't matter. I'm not discouraging people
for expressing how they feel, but doesn't really.

Speaker 1 (16:49):
Mean you care more than anyone else. It doesn't right.

Speaker 3 (16:53):
Well your thoughts at Covin on rich and I want
to throw this out there real QUI because I know
we got midweek major and other stuff to get to.
But I don't know if you saw Donald Trump. President
Trump laid out a challenge to President Biden and there's
an update which is our bring it up, So take
a listen to Donald Trump.

Speaker 12 (17:11):
I'm also officially challenging tricky Joe Joe Old golf backs
right here under rounds Blue Monster.

Speaker 8 (17:22):
Considered one of the greatest tournament golf courses anywhere in
the world, one.

Speaker 12 (17:26):
Of the great courses in the world.

Speaker 1 (17:29):
If it will be among the.

Speaker 8 (17:30):
Most watched sporting events in history, maybe bigger than the
Writer Cover or even the Masters, I will give him
ten smokers aside, and if he wins, I will give
the charity of his choice, any charity. Then he was
one million.

Speaker 2 (17:47):
Dollars, So that doctor evil. It sounds so weird. It's
such a weird just comment, I should say.

Speaker 3 (17:56):
He throws the challenge out, and Biden's responded saying, Joe
Biden doesn't have time for Donald Trump's weird antics.

Speaker 1 (18:04):
He's busy leading America and defending the free world.

Speaker 3 (18:08):
But I do ask you, on a serious note, put
aside whether you care about Biden or Trump.

Speaker 1 (18:13):
If you politics aside, you can.

Speaker 2 (18:16):
See aside all you want. People always bring it back
to politics, no matter what. I know you're doing it
just to just to try, because I know that's your intention.

Speaker 1 (18:26):
But good luck.

Speaker 6 (18:27):
Yeah, Richie just said he was leading America. He's not
leading America. Somebody's gonna tweet you that right now.

Speaker 1 (18:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (18:35):
And then I said that I quote Trump, and everyone's like, yeah,
you're Trumper, doesn't do you know? It's funny if I
here's where I think something Donald Trump said in jest
isn't isn't unrealistic. I think if Joe Biden and Donald
Trump played eighteen holes of golf and they filmed it

(18:56):
and it was a live event, I think it would
be why watch more than the US Open, the Masters,
the Riders anything. I think it would be the most
watched golf event in a decade.

Speaker 1 (19:08):
Oh yeah, I agree with that. I don't know if
it would Tiger.

Speaker 3 (19:11):
Woods, since Tiger in his prime. Since I mean, I
think who wouldn't watch at least the first couple holes.

Speaker 2 (19:19):
I would watch, and I don't watch golf. I think
most people would. I agree with that. Rich let me
ask you a question and we'll take some phone calls
and feedback on this as well. Eight seven, seven ninety
nine on Fox. Would you rather see this eighteen holes
of golf or another debate?

Speaker 1 (19:36):
Well, we're going to see the second debate, and so
what would Yeah?

Speaker 2 (19:42):
And he said one of the most highly watched sporting
events ever. Something along those lines. I think Tyson Jake
Paul would have more of a viewership.

Speaker 1 (19:52):
Imagine they put it on one car together.

Speaker 2 (19:54):
I'm just doing out there the Begod Day of sports.
For added debate and speculation, I do. I think I
think Tyson Jake Paul November fifteenth would have more streamers.
You're assuming that everybody cares about these dudes, and look,
we care more about politics than we.

Speaker 1 (20:09):
Ever did before.

Speaker 2 (20:10):
I know that, but I don't know if everybody be
tuning in the way you think.

Speaker 3 (20:14):
No. I listen to see who's competent, to see the issues,
to hear people out. The debate is more important, right,
But if you're telling me people when it watch Donald
Trump and Joe Biden golf, I'm intrigued what.

Speaker 1 (20:29):
They would wear.

Speaker 3 (20:30):
I want to see they're golf outfits. I want to
see what clubs they're using. I want to see who
their caddies are. What if they had like random like wait,
who's his caddy, Dana White's caddy, who's he bringing?

Speaker 1 (20:40):
Like who's gonna be walking the course?

Speaker 2 (20:42):
It would be a major event and as much of
a circus as this seems to be. It sounds just
about right like this could or would happen. I'm surprised
that it's been dismissed like that. Again, isn't it didn't Biden?
Wasn't he the one that sort of brought it up?

Speaker 1 (20:58):
If I'm not.

Speaker 3 (20:58):
Mistaken, he and Trump said he'd give him ten strokes.

Speaker 1 (21:02):
It's like almost fake. I can't even believe it's real.

Speaker 3 (21:04):
But just you know, a good question to ask your
your wife or girlfriend of your buddy tonight, if you're
getting some drinks, Hey, would you watch for real? If
Trump and biding golf? And I think most people would say,
of course.

Speaker 2 (21:16):
Here in the studio, a little survey of our own,
I'd watch Danny j I'd watch the first couple holes.

Speaker 1 (21:22):
Spot yeah, oh yeah, of course probably not. No, I
knew you were going to say that. I don't know why.
I just knew it. I mean, I knew people. I
knew it before yesterday.

Speaker 2 (21:31):
I wanted narrated by Rob Wriggle and Joe tessitour like, uh,
it's Snoop dogg just for Snoop dog color comment.

Speaker 1 (21:38):
MONSI would you watch, of course?

Speaker 10 (21:40):
And I make a bingo game out of it.

Speaker 1 (21:43):
By the way, pet I would have bet. I would
have bet my life. Why I know, and you have
a reason why life back?

Speaker 11 (21:49):
I because this is obviously a stunt that they've set
up that either like, there's there's no right way to
turn this down at all. And to be honest, no,
I I just know I don't even like the celebrity
boxing matches. I want to watch a real sport. I'm sorry.
I want real competition, real athletes out there. I don't
need this.

Speaker 2 (22:09):
You know what, though, Octor, you're really downplaying entertainment factor.

Speaker 11 (22:13):
I've got other things to entertain me. If I'm not
gonna do the faux halfsports.

Speaker 2 (22:16):
I'm not gonna say that our country should revolve around
a stupid golf match between Biden and Trump. I do
agree that's silly, right, But Nate Diaz fought Masvidal in
the boxing ring this weekend. The fight meant nothing, but
it was super entertaining. So you're you're missing out on
that fun just on your stance.

Speaker 11 (22:34):
No, I'm watching COPA Euros and anime.

Speaker 10 (22:37):
What are you doing with the rest of your time?

Speaker 11 (22:39):
Watching more movies than I haven't watched?

Speaker 3 (26:07):
All right, well it's it's come on week Major in

maybe two hit it.

Speaker 12 (26:18):
Covino and Rich get you over the middle of the
week with mid Week Major Major.

Speaker 8 (26:24):
Oh.

Speaker 12 (26:25):
I love that we throw sports and pop culture headlines
and topics at the fellas and it's like the kids.

Speaker 1 (26:31):
Say, that's so we definitely major.

Speaker 12 (26:35):
Seeing our scoring mid Week Major.

Speaker 4 (26:42):
Remix because we are running. We are running late.

Speaker 1 (26:45):
Oh Rich has another story to tell you. Hey, Danny
g you got moneyball Mallard's ass penny?

Speaker 4 (26:49):
I do right?

Speaker 1 (26:50):
All right, nice.

Speaker 6 (26:51):
Before we hand things over to the number one and
only host of this segment, we are gonna not roll
the Big Red Love Dice because Dicky Taejos is in
Elexus there him something else, as I almost swore on
the radio, my bad. All right, I have the butt
penny here from Ben Mallard.

Speaker 4 (27:11):
I'm editing.

Speaker 1 (27:12):
We're just calling it that.

Speaker 6 (27:13):
Yeah, I know all this is the famous Benny versus
the Penny Penny.

Speaker 4 (27:16):
All right, all right, rich you're away. You go ahead and.

Speaker 1 (27:19):
Call though I'll go tails.

Speaker 4 (27:22):
It is tails, oh.

Speaker 6 (27:24):
Bes al right in now, ladies and gentlemen, the most
famous person from Scotch Playing's New Jersey besides Judy Bloom.

Speaker 5 (27:31):
Spotty boy, you're trying to deny me from sharing all
the drama in one of the four major sports, and
that would be hot dog eating.

Speaker 1 (27:38):
Oh boy, I don't know if you've heard about this.

Speaker 4 (27:40):
All eyes were on the Joey Chestnut lists.

Speaker 5 (27:43):
Nathan's hot dog eating contest is past forth and fourth
of July. Patrick Bertolletti earned the top spot with fifty
eight hot dogs, well in fourth place.

Speaker 4 (27:51):
Here's where the drama starts.

Speaker 5 (27:53):
Nick Wherry, who is also the husband of the women's
cham Mickey Pseudo, is facing allegations.

Speaker 1 (27:59):
That he he cheated to boost his numbers.

Speaker 5 (28:02):
His tally at the end was forty six point seventy five,
but apparently people are accusing him of walking around picking
up empty plates, pulling the stack over by him, and
then demanding a recount, putting him up to fifty one
point seventy five. And apparently once you get above fifty,
it's like a coveted spots the next tier up. So
he's denying the allegations, of course, saying he would never.

Speaker 4 (28:25):
Do such a thing.

Speaker 1 (28:26):
They reviewed footage, but they're sticking by the decision.

Speaker 3 (28:28):
Midweek er major Wow, he's the Houston astrosto. Yeah, my goodness,
I think this is the most non story of all time.
He's fourth place on at.

Speaker 2 (28:38):
Wife when Rich and I agree it's fact. This is
super weak. Yeah, yey, and still coming forth right.

Speaker 1 (28:49):
That's the weakest. That's the weakest story ever. So and
you know what, though it is a big story for.

Speaker 2 (28:55):
Whatever reason today, maybe Major League eating is really going
next level.

Speaker 1 (28:59):
People love drama. Man all over the headlights, It really
is all over.

Speaker 2 (29:03):
So all right, he had forty six point seven five
In reality, they're saying, but fifty one if he cheated,
what was the winning to fifty eight? So okay, Patrick
Bertolotti Bertolti had fifty eight.

Speaker 1 (29:15):
Yeah, this is the weakest story. Okay, I'll take his place.

Speaker 4 (29:18):
Beat it all right, let's continue with the week stories.

Speaker 5 (29:21):
I don't know if you saw this funny clip floating
around Meniso A twin star Joe Ryan must have been feeling.
The heat was a little hot and sticky at Chicago
because he was caught on camera dousing his nether regions
in baby powder during the top of the seventh inning
after Carlos Korea hit a home run. The cameras followed
Korea back to the dugout where he was.

Speaker 4 (29:40):
Chatting with Ryan.

Speaker 5 (29:41):
You can see Ryan he get grabs his waistband, yanks
it out, starts dumping in the baby powder just as
he's casually talking to Korea. That just, you know, lets
the band go and what keeps going? But they did
draw attention to it midweek or major.

Speaker 1 (29:54):
It's funny. I think it's sort of like the week.
It's funny.

Speaker 3 (29:58):
I'll tell you why, because I mean, first of all,
I don't know if he did it for the cameras
because that's funny.

Speaker 1 (30:02):
Then it's major and it's like, Yo, good move. But
what is he a schoolboy?

Speaker 3 (30:05):
I put powder on my son's privates after a pool
day in chasing. What's he doing?

Speaker 2 (30:10):
Yeah, I'm not into this chalkiness, This powdery feeling not
my vibe. I think this is a mid story. I
don't think it's weak. It's mid and I'll give it
a mid because it did go extremely viral. I think
it's funny. It's relative proximity funny, meaning it's sports funny.

Speaker 1 (30:26):
Sport's not that funny, but when you see something like this, you're.

Speaker 2 (30:29):
Like, oh, wow, did you see that? I can't believe
I saw that. But I'm with Rich, like, who does that?
I don't like powdery huevos. You know I'd rather rocket
bat wing than that cakey mixture that force.

Speaker 1 (30:41):
No thanks, all right?

Speaker 6 (30:42):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (30:43):
The revelations are rolling out thanks to HBO's Hard Knocks
off season with the New York Giants, and Giants fans
are not too happy. The latest episode shows the Giants
GM doing whatever he can to keep Sakuon Barkley as
part of the team. However, when the news originally broke,
Barkley had posted on Twitter that he never got an
offer to go back to the Giants, so fans are

(31:06):
calling him out posting this clip.

Speaker 4 (31:08):
It's going viral midweek er major?

Speaker 3 (31:10):
Well, I mean I think it's major because you're able
to see like who's bs and or not?

Speaker 1 (31:15):
Right? Like are these people men of their word? Reality?
Is Saquon's at a better place? If the Giants are
going to compete.

Speaker 3 (31:22):
It's got to be on the arm of Daniel Jones anyway,
So we shall see I guess right, story not yet total.

Speaker 1 (31:28):
This is very major.

Speaker 2 (31:30):
As Warner Wolfe used to say, let's go to the
video tape. Video proves and says otherwise. So it makes
Sequon Barkley look like a liar liar pants on fire,
and it shows you how we never really know the truth.
And that's what's cool about Hard Knocks. Everybody's sleeping on
this giant story. Oh the giants, who cares? I don't
give about Daniel Jones. Yo, you were seeing some really

(31:54):
juicy stuff on the first two episodes. I thought the
first one was juicy, Danny g said the second one,
it's even better because you're really hearing stuff that you're like, wow,
I can't believe I'm hearing it.

Speaker 5 (32:05):
We were saying, Danny and I were saying that this
season is a little bit juicier because they did start
back in January, where they usually start a little bit
further into the season.

Speaker 2 (32:12):
So rich you're hearing all the management and the GM's
talking about like what to do with the players and
getting rid of them, and it's really crazy to hear
them talking about these people like they're like.

Speaker 1 (32:22):
They're not people.

Speaker 4 (32:23):
And in the second episode you hear Sat Kwan give
his word.

Speaker 1 (32:27):
So yeah, I think it's I think it's major.

Speaker 3 (32:29):
Also heard, also heard could you not say the word
juicy twelve times?

Speaker 1 (32:34):
Juice?

Speaker 5 (32:34):
Juice juzy? He's like David Swimmer all right, last one,
wrap it up with us. The grumpiest man alive is
apparently a swifty. Bill Pelicheck joined Travis Kelsey Patrick and
Brittany Mahomes in Kelsey Sweet at Taylersoft's Air Tours performance
aristour performance in Amsterdam. Onlookers said that they saw the

(32:55):
coach psing with Mahomes and Kelsey having some fun. However,
no photos of surface and we're there's no word as
to whether or not his twenty three year old girlfriend
was there, but it makes sense that she would have
been the inspiration to get him to go to a
Taylor's with concert, or maybe his heart's just softening now
that he's a retired midweek er.

Speaker 1 (33:14):
Major. I think it's major. That was his girlfriend's first CD. Right,
Taylor shrift Man, You know, I don't say the same thing.

Speaker 2 (33:21):
This is extremely major because you're just clearly seeing him
cater to his twenty four year old girlfriend. Next he's
gonna be going to see Jojo siwah and uh going
to Camp Flogna to see Tyler the Creator, just to
appease his his twenty four year old girlfriend.

Speaker 1 (33:36):
I hear he chose a Kendrick over Drake.

Speaker 2 (33:39):
No, seriously, Yeah, he's all involved in invest he's doing
TikTok dances. This is his life now, and we're gonna
see more and more of this side of Belichick. You
have to look, if you're going to date a twenty
four year old girl, then that's gonna be your life.
I mean, you see the stuff I deal with with
the age difference of my girlfriend. Nowhere near that age difference.
But that's just it comes the territory.

Speaker 1 (34:01):
I heard Bill.

Speaker 3 (34:02):
Belichick comment that he goes the concert was definitely not
skimmitty toilet skibbity.

Speaker 1 (34:07):
Ohio Riz all right, I'm on SI take it away, please.

Speaker 10 (34:20):
Hello, I'm back.

Speaker 1 (34:21):

Speaker 1 (34:35):

Speaker 9 (34:38):
The twenty twenty four Euro Semi Finals wrapped up. England
defeated Netherlands two to one, scoring that second goal in
the ninetieth minute. They're going to face Spain in the
final on Sunday. You can catch all that action on
Fox Now.

Speaker 10 (34:51):
NBA News.

Speaker 9 (34:51):
According to multiple reports, the league has agreed to an
eleven year, seventy six billion dollar media rides deal with NBC,
Amazon and ESPN. The Athletic reports that the Board of
Governors still have to approve the deal.

Speaker 10 (35:04):
Then they're going to send those finalized.

Speaker 9 (35:05):
Contracts to TNT Sports and they will have five days
to match the offer. So it's not completely that we
are losing NBA on TNT, but that's what has to happen.
They also report that Anthony Edwards signing a lucrative extension
with Adidas, believed to be worth eight figures annually. Phillies
All star Bryce Harper out for Tonight's game against the

(35:26):
Dodgers due to a bruised left hand. Rangers Alalis Garcia
is going to participate in the Home Run Derby. He
is a seventh participant and the only non starter one
game going on right now. When Baseball Twins White Sox.
It's game two of their double header. White Sox up
to zero. Top of the fifth and last thing I
didn't mention forgot Greg Burhalter out as a US men's
national team head coach following their COPA America group stage exit.

Speaker 10 (35:49):
First reported by Fox Sports. Wow, Mac tiam.

Speaker 3 (35:53):
Yo mansis you said in your last update that hometown
Texas Ranger.

Speaker 1 (35:58):
Adultless Garcia is going to be the whole run derby,
but you told them.

Speaker 10 (36:01):
What No, he's not Spanish.

Speaker 1 (36:08):
Sorry, so thank you mon again.

Speaker 2 (36:17):
We're Cavino and Rich and if we have time you
want to talk about you don't have your boy call Skiens.

Speaker 1 (36:23):
No, not right this minute.

Speaker 2 (36:24):
But when we get back Skiens, is he having the
best year ever, best twelve bus ever? We'll find out
we got more Cavino enriched life from the Tirerack dot
Com studio. Next on Fox Sports Radio. Now, there's a
feeling in sports better than anything. It's that electric buzz.
And I don't mean buzz from home alone. I know Rich,

Speaker 2 (38:05):
Let Express Employment professionals help expresses hiring for jobs in
a variety of industries, and job seekers never pay a
fee at Express check out expresspros dot com.

Speaker 1 (38:14):
Find your location. That's expresspros dot com.

Speaker 2 (38:18):
And we're playing Nickelback right now against Profet's will, because
I'm telling you to something in the air, rich where
enough time has passed where we could look back and
realize a lot of these songs that you may have
don't work.

Speaker 1 (38:30):
Corny, or you.

Speaker 2 (38:31):
Started hating on Nickelback for whatever reason, you're starting to
realize that you associated them with great times in your
life and youth, and their songs are undeniable bangers. And
I bring that up because there's a Netflix documentary out
and it's called Hate to Love Nickelback, and you get
to see that story of how big they were, how
massive they compare them to you too, biggest band of

(38:53):
the two thousands.

Speaker 1 (38:55):
And then everybody turned on them for no reason.

Speaker 2 (38:58):
That's the thing, unwarranted because they were popular and they
sucked according to everybody. And now all of a sudden,
bands like Creed, Limp, Biscuits, Nickelback, people are starting.

Speaker 1 (39:07):
To be like, you know what, I think we liked
these songs.

Speaker 2 (39:10):
And I did a little survey around the hallways, and
I even asked all the younger dudes around here, rich
like Bursch, and Shay Bursch was like, and I don't
want to misquote him, but he did say something along
the lines of how You Remind Me is a generational banger.
It's as simple as that, Like, and if you hate
two thousands, yeah, you're just a hater at that point,
so enjoy it.

Speaker 3 (39:31):
I work on the two thousands channel at Serious XM
as one of my side hustles, And if you asked
me what the biggest songs of the two thousands are,
I would say, how You Remind Me by Nickelback is
top five. You gotta put Lincoln Park in the end.
You gotta put maybe, like I gotta feel in Black
Eyed Peas. There's certain songs, yeah, by Usher, there's songs

(39:52):
that are just huge.

Speaker 1 (39:55):
Nickelback was an A list type of band.

Speaker 2 (39:57):
They're on that comeback sort of vibe and if you
really want to feel old. Asking even younger kid Dean
who just started an interning here, I was like, yo, Dean,
what do you think of nickel Back?

Speaker 1 (40:08):
Just out of curiosity. He's like, I never heard of him?

Speaker 2 (40:10):
All right, It's like, all right, grandpa, let's get go
back to the studio. And I was like, oh my goodness. Anyway, Uh,
speaking of youngsters, Paul Skins, dude, Paul Skins, in the
last twelve months, let me give you these stats, real quick,
all right, College World Series champione wow, hot girlfriend, College
World Series most Outstanding Player, really hot girlfriend, really hot girlfriend,

(40:34):
recipient of the Dick Howser Trophy, and really hot girlfriend
number one.

Speaker 1 (40:39):
Over to pick an MLB All Star. And he's just
lighting it up right now.

Speaker 3 (40:45):
Did you mention that he's also he's also done right
now and has a really hot girlfriend.

Speaker 1 (40:51):
Yeah, despite having a mustache. Yeah, she's hot, dude, she
really is.

Speaker 4 (40:56):
And he's.

Speaker 2 (40:59):
He's got a Morgan let me guess profets like, yeah, no, thanks, no, no, no,
I doubt that she's a good looking, talented woman. And
I think it was announced yesterday spot that she's sticking
around at LSU for another year. Yes, gonna cash in
on that nil money. So honestly, she's making bank. She's hot,

(41:21):
she's with him, he's got a mustache. He's slaying it
in the bigs right now, maybe the most dominant picture
in the NL at least at the moment.

Speaker 1 (41:30):
Are we puting the start, yes?

Speaker 2 (41:32):
Are we prisoners of the moment? Or is this guy
having arguably the best twelve months than anyone else you.

Speaker 1 (41:39):
Could think of right now? Travis Kelcey possibly possibly Kaylen Clark.

Speaker 2 (41:45):
Yeah, I mean, hey, throw people in the mix, but
I mean, god, he throw Paul Skeene's in there.

Speaker 3 (41:49):
I mean he's top three to five in the mix
of who's having the best year. And by the way,
speaking of the All Stars, I want to throw this
out there if you want to see a nice heartfelt video.
Logan Gilbert of the Mariners got then for the All
Star Game, and there's a video on MLB where he
calls his mom and dad and they're just so happy
for him. And when you see them, when you see
the joy that the parents have because they were there

(42:10):
for every step from Little League and Tee ball all
the way. So look at a logan Gilbert of the Mariners.

Speaker 1 (42:15):
I've always said that, and the hokey pokey is what
it's all about. Rich really exactly. And Danny G.

Speaker 3 (42:20):
You know, I want to throw this in there. I'm sorry,
I'm running out of time, but I saw this, Danny G.
