before we get into the three year stink? What is
the three year stink? Oh, we'll explain, we'll explain. We
want to let you know that we have a game
coming up giving away prizes.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
We do it on.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
Tuesdays Showtime Homes Trivia. Stick around for that. Any final
thoughts on Sam Donald before we move on? Did he
you know? It's I hate to see a player. It's
not that he bet on himself because he was on
a one year deal. It's different. Sometimes a player bets
on himself in a backfire. Sometimes the player bets on
himself and it works out. This was not this case.

(02:41):
This was a case where Sam Donald was given a
shot and it looked like, oh wow, it's like Baker Mayfield.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
All over again.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
Are you gonna judge Sam Donald on two weeks after
sixteen games?

Speaker 1 (02:56):
Unfortunately, as the Crystal method said.

Speaker 3 (02:59):
That's them of the game, which they were the two
most important.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
Games obviously games, and they could have got the number
one seed, they could have had the weekend off.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
Like I said, that game had such significance that the
Lions haven't even stepped back on the field yet.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
They're chilling.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
Dan Campbell's uh, you know, having a mohito with his
feet up and flipplops waiting for uh Washington. That was
not how you wanted to go out after such a
good season for the Vikings. And it's just so sad
for the fans because they really had so much to
cheer for it this.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
Year, only to end on that. No, that was the
weakest note to end.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
That's being a Vikings fan though, if you have industry
for sure, yeah, skull.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
That's why they probably need skull.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
And I'm not talking to you, Scott our boss, but
Vikings fans probably need twenty four to forty eight hours
to let things kind of calm down before they really
unleash their feeling because online I've been seeing Vikings fans
saying let them walk, just let.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
Them walk, or as they say, you know, the old
saying A two fate.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
What's the saying.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
And translation is not I love fat booties.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
It's what JJ McCarthy put on social media, which.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
Is to trust fate essentially, which is I love baby games.
Though cryptic messages aside from teenage girls on TikTok, who
else does that? JJ McCarthy cryptic messages after a major
loss like that. Pross Blame dude, that is blame as hell.
He's a kid, and yeah, it shows you how young
they are. It really is lame, though, because you got

(04:35):
so many moving parts, so many what ifs with the Vikings.
You just lost a heartbreaker after a great season and
you tweet something cryptic blame.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
Be sure to drink your horvil team in a way.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
Rich, they were playing with house money. We were one
of the only shows I didn't hear on any other
show them or her pick him or her pick the
Vikings to go to the playoff.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
It's true. We did believe.

Speaker 3 (05:02):
And some of it was how would your dad say
at Covino. Yeah, remember the day Shapiro was in here.
We were previewing the preseason which was about to start,
and Rich and I were like, don't count out Donald.
And of course Rich saw a lot of them in
San Francisco and we said, he's gonna throw a lot
that might lead to the playoffs. Didn't hear that anywhere else.
We saw people predicting the Vikings to maybe have four wins.

(05:24):
They called it a rebuilding year for the Vikings.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
Yeah, they're sort of waiting around for JJ McCarthy to
take over, and you know, Sam Donald had other plans.
So I wonder if the Vikings will have a short
term memory or a long term memory on how he
performed overall this season, And do you put more stock
in the two most important games?

Speaker 1 (05:41):
Like is it you know?

Speaker 2 (05:44):
Do you say weeks one through seventeen mean nothing compared
to Week eighteen and wildcard weekend? So we shall see.
But you know, it's interesting. I saw Nick Wright, who's
over on the TV side of things on Fox Sports
one FS one that had a really interesting take on
how he finds nothing embarrassing about failed predictions, and I

(06:07):
sort of love this take because he said, if you're
gambling in Vegas, if you're an expert, like we're talking expert,
where people pay you for your picks, like top level,
top tier guys selling their picks on social media, I'm
so good at gambling. By my picks, those guys hit
between fifty and sixty percent. No one in sports, radio, TV,

(06:28):
gambling anywhere is ever gonna go more than like sixty percent.
So of course you're gonna have terrible takes along the way.
It's just a matter of like do you try to
hide them? Or own them. I mean, it's also how
you present them. You don't know anything, but they present
them like they do. And I take great pride in
being like, this is just my opinion.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
I'm not clairvoyant. You know, I can't predict the future.
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
I'm not Madame Ruby. And that's how some of those
people come across, to be honest. Yeah, like you know,
you don't know.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
I see a bicycle and.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
Then there's a countability that's often not taken after you
just told me the day before that this was this
was how it was going to be. So and I'm
not calling out Nick Rightet by any means. I'm just
saying that's the culture. I mean, some of the best
Colin stephen A. You know back in the day. How
many times did Max Kellerman say that Tom Brady was done?

Speaker 1 (07:24):
And he's a great dude.

Speaker 2 (07:25):
So it's just it's interesting. I don't know if anyone
really predicted other than you know, maybe a few.

Speaker 1 (07:30):
So we'll own it, Danny.

Speaker 2 (07:30):
We were one of the few people that I know
that we're saying, he don't care the vikings.

Speaker 3 (07:34):
And I'll give Colin a shout out. That's why a
lot of people love his segment where Colin was right,
where Colin was wrong.

Speaker 2 (07:39):
Yeah, take accountability, because the truth is nobody knows, and
that's the that's the reason we watched sports to see
the unexpected, to see cool things happen. Trust me, I
was the last couple of weeks, I'm like, hold his
ice when it comes to picking. Last night, I was
like Vikings minus two two and a half.

Speaker 1 (07:59):
That was a couple college your college, your last two
college picks hit though. Yeah, that is true. That was
a good parlay. Thank you, Danny.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
All right, well listen, Sam Donald, We'll see what happens.
I'm sure a decision will be made sooner than later.
In fact, our buddy Brandon, one of the great editors
here at Fox Sports Radio, is a big Niners fan,
and he's thinking that rock party.

Speaker 1 (08:18):
They're going to get that deal.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
Done in the next week or so, and all the
all the pieces won unfold. It'll before you know, and
then you know the other story. I'm sure Dan Byer's
keeping an eye on Dion Sanders meeting with Jerry Jones,
like all these things. That's why I remember we said
last year the NFL, even outside the games themselves, all
summer all spring, we're gonna be talking about this stuff.

Speaker 3 (08:38):
Who would have thought three weeks ago that Sam Donald
may get less money than party well, I.

Speaker 1 (08:46):
Mean a ton like significantly things. Yeah, things changed quickly. Now.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
Our next discussion has to do with the playoffs, has
to do with Justin Herbert on the odd couple, Justin Sherbert,
Justin Justin Sherbert and your thoughts on how do you
know when someone stinks rich calls this the three year stink.

(09:13):
I take it back to fighting. I often do because
you could lose an embarrassing fight like man, did that
guy even show up? Happens and you could lose a
fight but still come out with a moral victory, like
when Berlanga Edgar Burlanga fought Canelo. Yeah, Canelo won, he

(09:35):
beat him, but Burloga showed how tough he was, so
even in a loss, he got some respect and showed
that he's got what it takes. So you can lose
with style. I think we saw two different versions of
losses over the weekend. Bo Nick's lost, but I think

(09:55):
he had the moral victory of man, that guy's got
some game, Yo. Denver's found their future. Yeah he lost,
but you're like, man, they're not ready, but he's good though, Huh,
he could battle. And then you see guys like Baker Mayfield,
like man, came up short, but dude.

Speaker 1 (10:12):
That guy fights.

Speaker 2 (10:14):
It's losing with fight, losing with style, losing with some pride.
And then there's losses like Justin Herbert, and by no
means are we to show to dump on Justin Herbert.
But there's a different feeling in how he lost. It
could be the expectations that are involved. But Rich is saying, nah,
it's the three year stink. I'm not going on a

(10:34):
Dave Portnoy two minute rant about how Justin Herbert stinks
he's the worst ever. By the way, I'm glad you
brought that up. I'm a Portnoy fan, right, Yeah, he's
a good dude. We used to be on the same
channel with the guy. But guys like him can create
a powerful narrative when really they're just talking about the
money they lost. That's why he's angry about him. And

(10:56):
he did the same thing with Darnold. He lost I
think eleven thousand on Sam Arnold. So now Sam Donald's
the worst ever. And then people run with that mindset,
so that's also very unfair.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
Dude.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
Just because you put money on this guy doesn't mean
he's the worst. But there are guys that come with
an expectation and then those guys that are a surprise.
It's uh, sort of like the bedroom Oh oh. Sometimes
you're lucky enough to find yourself in an intimate situation

(11:30):
with a girl that's gorgeous, sam you need to pull
up some like sexy music or something you need to have,
like a saxophone solo on standby.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
Sometimes sort of a letdown. You're like, oh, I thought
that'd be better.

Speaker 2 (11:41):
And then there's times you find yourself with a girl
that you connect with but might not be the most attractive,
But then that was way better than I thought. It's
all about the expectations going in and pun intented and
going into every season, there's a couple of quarterbacks that
were waiting. We're just waiting for that for to click.
And I'll give you two of them, Justin Herbert and

(12:03):
Trevor Lawrence. Those are the number those that's number one
and number two. Is there gonna come a point where
we consider either one of these just maybe not what
we thought. And if you want to stick to your
own theory, three years. Trevor Lawrence is at four years.
Maybe had a few playoff games, right, but he's at
that level. He's the first guy that comes to mind,
too rich, and it does come with expectations. So what

(12:28):
do you guys think about assessing a quarterback? Right, Some
people have a longer shelf life, more opportunities, more chances
than others. But at what point do you just say, yeah, man,
they're good, but they're they're not living up to their
expectations and they can't seem to win when it matters.
I mean, Herbert's numbers are great in the regular season, right,
I mean fantastic. In fact, this year his best statistical year.

(12:51):
But five years now, he's a young man in life.
I'm thinking, can you really start assessing? Because we've talked
the other day about how with a coach, it's very
fair for a coach for a radio show, TV show,
any any thing in the creative space or performance space,

(13:12):
it's fair to say three years is a fair amount
of time to be like, all right, this show never
really picked up steam, This coach never revamped the program,
this show never got ratings. Like, especially in a world
where we live in a win now culture results. We
want results immediately. You know, three years is plenty. And

(13:32):
it's also like wow, it's also shocking to see how
some people get more of a chance than others, right,
because how.

Speaker 1 (13:40):
Many people would have been out already.

Speaker 2 (13:42):
I also don't want to say that that works for
everyone because Philip Rivers, Dan Marino, there have been great
quarterbacks and they also played in a different time, and
that's true. We live it a We gave those guys
more of a chance to develop, and I think we
should give these dudes more of a chance to develop.

Speaker 1 (13:58):
But they seem to be the exception here.

Speaker 2 (14:02):
As you said, we live in a to quote the
comedian Ronnie Chen, we live in a prime now world
where you order.

Speaker 1 (14:10):
Something it's almost not good enough.

Speaker 2 (14:12):
Sometimes oh it's gonna be here in today orself day
or so prime now. I want it now, I want
but wait, my quarterbacks are rookie. There were people that
were like Caleb Williams Chicago, we ready to win now,
slow down.

Speaker 1 (14:27):
He was hanging at USC three months.

Speaker 2 (14:28):
Look at Jayden Daniels, look at Bonicks. You do see guys,
they're like yo, they came to ball from the get go.
So it does give you this false expectation that everybody
could bring it that way, and those guys that didn't
even get a chance at the beginning, the Aaron Rodgers
of the world. And then you say, how many times
I know it's old. Now, this is the nineties. You
know Peyton Manning stunk his first year. Yeah, but you

(14:49):
know what, it's not nineteen ninety eight anymore. Yeah, Joe Burrow,
you know, he's a guy that's delivering on his expectations.
So when you talk about guys like Trevor Lawrence and
Justin Herbert and young dudes around the NFL, Kyler Murray,
when does the point come where you could assess that, hey,
you know what, maybe then not what we thought? Or

(15:11):
Danny g do you just have to accept that sometimes
you have a franchise guy, he'll be your quarterback for
a decade, but you just never get there. Because Bernie Cozar,
Dan Marino, I'm just naming Philip Rivers. There have been
guys throughout our life that were good, I just never won.

Speaker 3 (15:26):
I think inside the building in your facility, you know
the guys who are working very, very hard during the
offseason to get better because possible MVP for this season.
Josh Allen, he had a bad first two seasons there
in Buffalo. I'm sure they're happy that they were patient
with him. His third season he broke out with thirty
seven touchdowns. But don't forget his rookie year. He had

(15:48):
ten and twelve with twelve picks, twenty and nine a
second year, and I remember hearing the stories that he
was working so hard to improve his accuracy and get better.
In that third season, it took for.

Speaker 1 (16:00):
The stories about Josh Allen. You ain't kidding that.

Speaker 2 (16:04):
Sometimes you wonder, well, I mean, how much work could
you really put in to improve your accuracy?

Speaker 1 (16:09):
Well, guess what, look at Josh Allen. There there were
times where.

Speaker 2 (16:13):
The magic Johnson I heard the criticism free throws right,
there were certain layers of a guy's game. And you,
if you have the ability to work as hard as
some of these elite athletes, you can improve a part
of your gah, absolutely no doubt. No, I'm not married
to the three years, by the way, So if anyone
Dan Bayer, Danny g if you have another thought like well,
I'm going to add this to the list. Rich and
I have a few questions that come to mind. One

(16:35):
of them is like a painter. How does that painter
know when the painting is done? How does he really
know when you're saving someone's life. How do you know
a few more prompts wouldn't have saved it? How do
you know he was done? How do you know he's
dead for real?

Speaker 1 (16:48):
For real?

Speaker 2 (16:49):
How do you know what a song that's the cut?

Speaker 1 (16:52):
How do you know?

Speaker 2 (16:53):
Yeah, maybe a few more high hats wouldn't have made
it better a couple more. How do you know if
this quarterback stinks or not? When you know he has
all the potential in the world, meaning, you know, justin
Herbert doesn't stink, but he's.

Speaker 1 (17:09):
Not winning when it matters.

Speaker 2 (17:11):
But then damn by Do you remember watching Last Dance
like we all did, like multiple times during COVID. Do
you remember until Michael Jordan won an NBA title, the
narrative started to become can Michael Jordan not win?

Speaker 1 (17:25):
Yeah? Can he not?

Speaker 2 (17:26):
So? At one point in time, yeah, in one place,
at one point in our lifetime, there was a narrative
floating around. I don't know if Michael Jordany could finish.

Speaker 4 (17:34):
So we grew up in a time in Canduke win
the Big One? Yeah, they would go to the final
four and they would always lose, or it felt like
they would always lose, but they were there, Yeah a
bunch of times and fell short and then they break
through in ninety one and the rest is history. Yeah,
there's I would say to answer your question, you know
when you know, and you know when. And that's what

(17:55):
I think hit with Donald last night is you know
you had all these the questions and everything, but you
just know. And I don't think we do know what
justin Herbert just yet, but you know when you know.

Speaker 1 (18:07):
Dan, you know.

Speaker 2 (18:08):
It's interesting Kevino and I. You could argue it's a
crutch of ours, but I'm fine with it. I feel
like there's so many commonalities with life and relationships because
I feel like there's two things I feel like I know,
and it's relationships and sports.

Speaker 1 (18:21):
Oh and fake boops.

Speaker 2 (18:23):
I could tell you what type they are if they're
real fake that is another story.

Speaker 1 (18:26):
Which is good at that? Yeah, can't stump this guy
or he used to be good at them. I'm the Shwami.
I feel like he's losing it a little bit.

Speaker 2 (18:32):
Stop it gummy bear material anyway, So in a relationship,
there are people you could date for years and you're
still sort of like, I don't know, should I marry
this girl?

Speaker 1 (18:44):
Is she the one?

Speaker 2 (18:46):
And then there's other times I met my wife. I
dated a plethora of women that I was unsure of.
I met my wife. Say, I met my wife. We
were engaged within a year. It's she was my She
was my Josh Allen.

Speaker 1 (19:03):
You know, you just knew, No, she was my you
know what was your Jade Daniels. She was my Jaden Daniels.
I was like, I just know.

Speaker 2 (19:09):
So that's what you were getting at hun d B Like, yeah,
it's that feeling of when you know you know.

Speaker 4 (19:14):
And I think that's the tough part about last night
for the Sam Darnold supporters as I felt that you're like, nah,
they lost to two teams this year. They had four
total losses, twice to the Lions, twice to the Rams.

Speaker 2 (19:26):
And and by the way, I do want to make
this clear too, No one's like not rooting for Justin
Herbert to be the guy he's supposed to be, you know,
but you give people so many chances.

Speaker 1 (19:37):
It's look three years, there's a lot in the NFL.

Speaker 2 (19:41):
But you know what, nowadays, where I made the silly
analogy that if you know right away, you know my wife,
she was my Jaden Daniels, I knew right away, Danny
G said, Josh Allen took a couple of years to
get there. How many times you met someone they're like,
my wife is my best friend. We've been together twenty years.
You know, we were friends for years before we got romantic.
That there's different ways to get there.

Speaker 4 (20:01):
Well, Dan, you know, Danny called the the third season
the breakout year. But when he said he threw twenty
and nine his second year, that tells you something that's
not fifteen and fourteen. Yeah, Like there's like, okay, maybe
he's on the track, maybe things have turned around, and
then you end up taking off. And I don't I
don't think three years is enough. And I know Sam

(20:22):
Donald hasn't been in the greatest of situations.

Speaker 1 (20:25):
But yeah, I know last night was tough.

Speaker 2 (20:28):
It's not entirely his fault either, but I just definitely
know that offensive line didn't help him. But the last
two weeks he looked like the Sam Donald in New
York that was seeing ghosts. Sure, yeah, looked like he
lost all his confidence. So Rich is calling it the
potential three year stink. Maybe it's four year stink by
how many chances do you get in the NFL and
poor Poort, Justin Herbert, Trevor Lawrence and Sam Donald's Fresh

(20:52):
on the Mine, so damn it.

Speaker 1 (20:54):
I love Dan. I love Danbyer's theory.

Speaker 2 (20:56):
When you know, you know, yeah, it's like it's like
finding your wife, right, Hey CNR on FSR and hey,
I got to tell you about ti Iraq. Are great
friends at ty Iraq. Listen, we're not TV weatherman, though
sometimes I feel like I could be. You said that

my Kelsey mix, I hear this in the background. And
by the way, sadly it's really delicious to Kelsey mix.
And is it also embarrassing? Is it also embarrassing when
you start liking the songs that are on in the supermarket? Yes,
that means you're all Is it weird if you shop
at Costco for clothes, Yes, that means you have no style,
but we all do it. They got random things here

(23:10):
and there.

Speaker 1 (23:11):
No.

Speaker 2 (23:11):
My fun chief skate tip of the day is this.
If you want something in style and is cheap, look
for the good Fellow brand at Target. It'll never let
you down.

Speaker 1 (23:19):
I love good Fellow.

Speaker 2 (23:20):
Good Fellow brand at Target is where it's at I listen.
Inexpensive and always trendy. I got a Banana Republic windbreaker
at Target. I'm not Target. At a Costco. Okay, Look,
Costco has little treasures that legal I did and I
guess supposed sold. You see the hoodie on wearing right now,
just as generic like Hurley Black hoodie.

Speaker 1 (23:41):
Is that the Bobby Hurley limited edition? Yeah? This is
the Costco special. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (23:45):
You could get occasional items at Costco. Just you can't
have your whole wardrobe. I mean it, says Kirkling. On it.

Speaker 1 (23:49):
You act like we didn't know.

Speaker 2 (23:51):
So anyway, We're Covino and Rich live in La sending
strength to all the first responders and all the people
affected out here in Los Angeles. Again, live from the
tire rack dot Com studio, it is time for a
little Showtime Mahomes Trivia.

Speaker 1 (24:09):
Let's go the mostly lovable Patrick Mahomes. Truth is, I
want everybody to love me, not just the reps. It's
time for some NFL trivia. I'm here, I'm here, Yes,
we know you're here.

Speaker 2 (24:24):
All right, Patrick Mahomes, here to play Showtime Homes Trivia.

Speaker 3 (24:28):
All right, f'sr. Security walking our broke Patrick into the
main studio.

Speaker 2 (24:32):
Papa, Yeah, you're feeling good.

Speaker 1 (24:35):
Three kids, Congratulations and I'm going for the three peat.
Let's go. Three is your magic number right now?

Speaker 2 (24:43):
Right?

Speaker 1 (24:43):
What was the wait? Wait? Remember offhand?

Speaker 2 (24:47):
Now I forget, but her name's Golden Mahomes, which is
also one of my bedroom moves in the early two thousands.

Speaker 3 (24:55):
Yeah, I saw the old picture of you. Pome are
like a football, Golden Mahomes, let.

Speaker 1 (24:59):
Me tell you.

Speaker 2 (25:00):
And by the way, Stafford got a Golden Mahomes call
last night. That was definitely intentional grounding.

Speaker 3 (25:06):
All right.

Speaker 1 (25:07):
You know what what call bothered you? More?

Speaker 2 (25:09):
That? Or when the packers clearly recovered the ball, that's
what I call weak sausage.

Speaker 1 (25:15):
Put some ketchup on that. Yeah, that was both terrible calls.

Speaker 3 (25:20):
Don't ask that I like him when he worked for Yeah,
I was gonna say, don't ask him to critique his
boys there, Yeah, that was my boy. We're gonna meet
the contestants. Twenty four time winner Rich Davis right over there,
seventeen time winner Dan Bayer, Hello and looking to win
a seeing our stainless steel swiggy on our studio lines, buyer,
I'll use you for this. Would you love to travel
to man n A r r A g A n

(25:45):
s e t T against Rde Island? Yes, thank you,
Cape Coral, Florida, Glendale, Arizona, Portland, Maine, Denver, Colorado or Dubuque, Iowa.

Speaker 4 (25:57):
Well, we have to go to Rhode Island after the beginning,
right yeah, Andy, Andy, what's up?

Speaker 1 (26:03):
Hey? By Hey for a rematch. I'm here to take you.

Speaker 2 (26:07):
Down my home.

Speaker 1 (26:09):
Yeah all right, he's a one time loser looking to
win here. I must have gone to Rhode Island before
and realize it all right.

Speaker 3 (26:15):
Here are the rules for Showtime Mahomes NFL trivia. The
first contestant with two correct answers is the champ. If
there's a tie, we have a tie breaker question. Your
name is your buzzer, but you do have to wait
until all three possible answers are read. If there's two
wrong answers in a row, we move on to the
next question. Are you ready?

Speaker 2 (26:30):
Yeah, let's get it out, all right, Patrick Mahomes, I'm
here what active QB has the second most career passing
yards behind the enigma Aaron Rodgers, Hey, Joe Flacco, B
Matt Stafford or c Russell Wilson.

Speaker 3 (26:45):
Andy, Andy, I'm gonna go with Matt Staffer.

Speaker 1 (26:51):
Yes, yam, get in many yards?

Speaker 2 (26:54):
That guy piled up like I would say, meaningless second
half yards when he was a lion.

Speaker 3 (26:58):
My goodness, Andy, halfway to a swiggy as we moved around.

Speaker 1 (27:02):
Two? All right, round two?

Speaker 2 (27:04):
What was I once quote saying quoted saying about Andy Reid?
A coach Read has made it possible for me to
unlock my NFL potential. B co Tread is a great teacher.
He understands how people learn or ce co Treat is great,
but when he tags along at one of the pref
dinners that I host, it gets really expensive.

Speaker 1 (27:25):
Dan gonna go b Yes, all right, co Treat's a
great teacher. He understands how people learn.

Speaker 3 (27:32):
All right, So Andy and Buyer both on the board.
As we moved around three.

Speaker 2 (27:37):
All right, I'm here, you know on Rich what's up?
Best show on radio? That's what I'm saying. Thank you, Patrick.
He sounds like a paid guest. I'd love an amazing
book for the kindergarteners, which former player wrote, the children's
book Little Tea Learns to Share a Lawrence Taylor, b

(27:58):
Todd Gurley Orrell Owens.

Speaker 3 (28:01):
Rich and Rich did tylor owans right? Then you are correct?
Say boom, three way tie.

Speaker 1 (28:10):
I love a good three way Let go and if agreed?

Speaker 3 (28:14):
Clearly A C and R fan there on the phone, Andy, Bayer,
Rich all on the line. All on the board as
we move to round number four.

Speaker 1 (28:22):
All right, round four?

Speaker 2 (28:23):
Which team holds the twenty six game record for the
longest losing streak in the modern NFL era A the
Cleveland Browns, B, the Detroit Lions, or C the Tampa
Bay Bucks.

Speaker 1 (28:37):
Dan and Buyer for the win. Geez, you're not quick enough. Andy.
We gave you. We gave you a beat. Andy, Tampa
Bay Yes.

Speaker 2 (28:45):
By Bay Tampa Bay Bucks seventy six to seventy seven.
Again hold the twenty six game record for longest losing streak.

Speaker 3 (28:53):
Congratulations, that is eighteenth. That's the eighteenth win for buyer
and Andy.

Speaker 1 (28:58):
We appreciate somebody a play. I got one for you, Andy.
Guys building a clubhouse out of sweegee. Thank you for
listening there in Rhode Island. Be appreciate yea. All right, guys,
money on me over the Texans or what? Nope?

Speaker 3 (29:14):
No, I mean yeah, you're not very good against the spread.

Speaker 1 (29:17):
Patrick, Come on, man, it's been a good week. Golden Mahomes.

Speaker 2 (29:20):
Golden Mahomes seven and a half eight points is the
current Draftking spread.

Speaker 4 (29:25):
Can I say one thing? Because Andy was magnificent, truly magnificent.

Speaker 1 (29:30):
Andy Reid, I agree.

Speaker 4 (29:33):
I want Waighted scoring on Swiggy's I know I'm bringing
up this you have not, but when you bring it
to the show, like there is a responsibility, like we're
solely basing it on wins and knowledge, But when you
bring it on the show, it adds so much to it.

Speaker 1 (29:50):
He had two singers.

Speaker 4 (29:51):
Yes, he had personality, and I know they're rare, but
to just base it on the win, I'm thinking good
personality one right.

Speaker 1 (30:01):
Yeah, I agree. I like that.

Speaker 3 (30:03):
Andy, go ahead, call back and I will get you
on the mailing list or it's one of the new
midnight black swiggies.

Speaker 1 (30:09):
I agree. You know what, damn by a good call?

Speaker 2 (30:11):
Now you get like five Andy's calling up and I'm
here one. All right, guys, I got a guy and
practice Saturday. I don't know, but I have a new
daughter and a game of prepare for us. So it's
been fun. Guys, go back to your.

Speaker 1 (30:25):
End all right. Later.

Speaker 2 (30:26):
Guys keep saying it, keeps saying it, especially that Caino guy. Yeah, okay,
you know of the Home is always so hyped every
time he comes back.

Speaker 1 (30:35):
You know.

Speaker 4 (30:35):
I also just said that if a caller calls in
that if they bring the energy, they should also get
a swig.

Speaker 1 (30:41):
You no, I agree, because you have too many? What
are you building a raft? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (30:44):
Yeah? I think honestly, Yeah, Andy, call back, you were great.

Speaker 1 (30:49):
You win.

Speaker 2 (30:50):
I actually like that rule. Yeah, if you win, you
get one. But if you were the man and you battled,
you showed up.

Speaker 4 (30:57):
If you get one, right, Like, you can't just be
stunt that rule.

Speaker 1 (31:01):
Yeah, yeah, it can't be for everybody, but I like that.
I like it.

Speaker 2 (31:04):
You know, of all the games this weekend, there's only
one that's like, I mean, Philly six and a half,
but they're all touchdown or more points spread differentials. The
only game that Vegas has no clue on is Baltimore
Buffalo Ravens Bills. That is flipped from Ravens minus one

(31:26):
to Buffalo minus one, two even two, Ravens minus one
to baltim Now it's back to Baltimore minus one. So
essentially that game is a who on Earth knows pick
them essentially. And the other three games were expected to
see Lions Eagles, Chiefs versus the winner of that, and
that goes along with Cavino your narrative of we could

(31:46):
talk all year about things, but it ends up where
we thought it would end up, the usual suspects. I mean,
the whole AFC really is going to come down to
those three teams, Ravens, Buffalo, and Texans. I'm sorry, chefs,
unless the Texans pull them upset. All right, Hey, we

Speaker 4 (32:23):
Lines listed running back David Montgomery and cornerback Terry and
Arnold his full participants in their estimated practice report. Texans
getting ready for that matchup with Patrick Mahomes and the
Kansas City Chiefs. Dis He's l Shire, the linebacker dealing
with a knee injury at DNP when it comes to
practice today did not practice on the Texans estimated practice report.

(32:45):
Rams head coach Sean McVay said tight end Tyler Higbee
should play Sunday against the Eagles despite a chest injury
that sent them to the hospital last night. In their
game at Arizona against the Minnesota Vikings. I mentioned the
Texans earlier they waved wide receiver Deonte Johnson. Today, Jaguars
interviewed Robert Sala for their head coaching vacancy well. Former
Cowboys head coach Mike mccarthur will an interview for the

(33:06):
head coaching gig with the Bears tomorrow. Penn State ten
and Tyler Warren's going to enter the twenty twenty five
NFL Draft. Jimmy Butler reportedly told pat Riley last week
that yeah, he wants out of Miami. Butler wants to
be traded, and if he's not traded, he would not
resign with the Heat this offseason. That's according to ESPN.
The fifty five year old man charged with felony stocking
charges involving WNBA star Caitlin Clark is being held on

(33:29):
fifty thousand dollars bail in Indianapolis following a preliminary hearing
earlier today. Just out of way on Fox Sports one
Biggie showdown between the Xavier and Villanova just three minutes
in Xavier with the early eight to four lead. And

the Jupiter Links team as they play their simulator golf

Canelo ducking him.

Speaker 2 (36:59):
Talking about making the show on the road, we love
doing the Graduate Hotel broadcast. We have a few of
those coming up in twenty twenty five. We don't have
full details yet, but I did want to throw it
out there for our Fox Sports Radio you can plant
a little seed. I'm gonna plant the little seed for
the Fox Sports Radio people. And I was Sam and
Danny g hearing this for the first time. In June,
Cavino and I are going to officially have our twentieth

(37:22):
anniversary party as a show. We're gonna work out the details,
but the dates are June twentieth to the twenty second
of Friday to a Sunday, June twentieth to June twenty second,
So the big party will be on the twenty first.
If you can only come for one night, but everybody's invited,
the more the merrier, so block out that weekend. Like
details on events, venue, broadcast, party, you know, all those

(37:44):
things to be announced, TBA, to be determined.

Speaker 3 (37:47):
I read all about this on Facebook from your Guys's
Carl super fan page.

Speaker 1 (37:51):
Oh I tell you yeah. I'm sorry with the entire
first It's just so many fans on there that were like,
I thought this would never happen.

Speaker 2 (37:57):
It's okay when Kavino is gonna become a dad. I
read about it on a blog online before he told me,
so sure.

Speaker 1 (38:02):
I saw a post yesterday Rich that says you're an ahole.

Speaker 2 (38:05):
You know someone did do that, and they did it anonymously.
At least if you're gonna say I'm an a hole,
say it to my face.

Speaker 1 (38:12):
Bro. So I don't think they call you a I
think the same. Are they called you a d Yeah,
it's similar thought. Trust me, Rich is actually a nice dude.

Speaker 2 (38:22):
I'm gonna tell to Gottlieb if he's going to post
about Rich, at least don't up to it. So June
twentieth to the twenty second, and I would say, I'm
Danny g You know, we'd make sure you guys are
there for sure, a little Vegas weekend.

Speaker 1 (38:35):
It could be on Rich celebration, just mark that dakedown again.
No details yet, and.

Speaker 2 (38:39):
Of course a bunch of fun Fox Sports Radio broadcast
between now and then. But June twentieth to the twenty second,
we're gonna celebrate twenty years. Broadcast, drinks, food, a little
of everything, so Vegas, Baby Vegas, Vegas, and make it
happen now before you get out of here. Today, I
didn't want to bring up Dion Sanders and I said
this to you off the air, Cavino and we were

(39:01):
talking about how nostalgia's a hell of a drunk.

Speaker 1 (39:04):
I know, I know.

Speaker 2 (39:05):
Rick James said, Cocaine's hell of a drug. I'm nostalgia
is helven drunk. We love to reminisce about the glory
days of our teams. Dude, we could sing commercials from
our childhood, but can't remember what we ate yesterday. Yeah,
get your ski shined up, grab a sticky juicy fruit.

Speaker 1 (39:25):
The taste is going to move, y'all. Take a sniff.
Those lyrics are weird.

Speaker 2 (39:31):
The tastes this guy and your Jessey frut. He's going,
what I mean, But what you eat last night? You're like,
what did I have?

Speaker 1 (39:40):
Turkey? Because we love nostalgia.

Speaker 2 (39:44):
And sports nostalgia is one of the strongest types of nostalgia.
You go to a stadium where the team hasn't won
a championship in a while. I'll be the first to
admit as a Mets fan. You go to City Field
back in the day, shea stadium, We're still talking about
Gary Carter's perm and keithr.

Speaker 1 (39:59):
Nanda as mustache.

Speaker 2 (40:00):
Because if your team has no recent glory, you will
always talk. Jets fans will talking about Joe Namath stuff.
You know, like you know when you think about your
team and the glory days. You know, Minnesota Twins fans,
they're talking about the late great Kirby Puckin and you
know Dan Gladden's mullet. We always loved the nostalgia and
the Cowboys are one of those teams that we love

(40:22):
to think, you know, America's team, you know, settled down,
but they have not won since many of us were
in grade school, since for they bit, they haven't been
playoff relevant, in super Bowl relevant since the nineties, before smartphones,
before you were when you were dialing up with a
rocking silver tabs, you were rocking Carpenter jeans, the Bob

(40:44):
Vila specials.

Speaker 1 (40:45):
I might have still be Cabercis.

Speaker 2 (40:46):
You were rare and yeah, you wearing your Doc Martin's
and you had a mushroom haircut. Truth be told, I
might have had braces. The Cowboys it so when you
think of it that way, is the Dean Sanders thing?
Play it nostalgia or is it the real deal? Because
I joked with Camno that it's you know, a lot
of teams will have their first base coach and their
bench coach, like be former fan favorite players. Primetime's proved

(41:11):
themselves in Colorado. But is that a nostalgia pick or well.

Speaker 1 (41:16):
It's a little of both.

Speaker 2 (41:16):
We said it yesterday, but Ben Maller, the Great Ben
Maller also said it, which is always fun to see
that we're on the same train track of thought. It's
just a good match, America's team, high profile team, prime
time coach. It's just it just seems like it would fit.
You know, he can handle that. Maybe there'll be more
developments before tomorrow. But something to think about primetime Dallas,

(41:40):
right fit. Your thoughts will get to that tomorrow. Until then,
have a great night a riba there maybe the promise goodbye, guys,
