Speaker 4 (02:00):
Producer Spot, our associate producer, our video producer Spot.

Speaker 5 (02:04):
He has changed a lot.

Speaker 4 (02:05):
Yeah, because when we first met him, richel Rich always
says that he had like a Jonah Hill vibe about him.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
I used to say, if you met Spot and you
didn't immediately love him. Something was wrong with Now Spot
walks around with a tank top like he's in Adonis.
Now it's like, if you like Spot, I'm curious why.
I'm kidding, right, he's not the same guy that evolution. Baby,
Look you can't stay the same. And I gotta say

(02:33):
look respectfully when it comes to Bill Belichick, I'm not
man at the guy.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
I don't care at all. He's just dating a young hotti.

Speaker 6 (02:42):
But it is the story. I can't ignore the story.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
Not one amped it up.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
The interview where she's like, we're not talking about that,
that to me was the This was like a little
flame in a in a forest. That interview clip, to me,
poured a tub of guests Alina on it.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
It really rich.

Speaker 4 (03:00):
I don't want to sound like a double talking hypocrite.
See double talking Davis. Yeah, like Channterbox Davis. I don't
want to double talk like me. Okay, if it was
my daughter and she was twenty four year old dating
a seventy four old, yeah, you better believe I would care.
But no, let's me problema. You know this is what

(03:20):
makes them happy, for sure. But I mean we'd be
doing a disservice to not acknowledge the story. It's a
hot story, and not only is it a hot story,
but the story grows. Did you hear the other story today?
I did that. There's there's layers. Brett Farv got a
new boat. No, not Brett Farv, I mean Bill Belichick

(03:42):
got a new Well, Brett.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
Farb'st trying to get a new boat so he could
just sell away and never be seen again.

Speaker 5 (03:48):
Mississippi paid for a new boat, got a.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
New boat based off he stole the people's money.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
Buyer insinuated that there is a rumor of Belichick being engaged. Yeah,
and hey, I wish them all the best. You still
the headline with the boat, right.

Speaker 4 (04:04):
The boat is the other side of the story, not
far of Belichick where he got a new paint job
on his boat. They go to Maco, and I believe
he used to read like eight rings or something, right,
that was the name of the boat, eight rings something
like that, And now it's repainted as one plus eight rings.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
So where's the other ring? That adds fuel to the
engagement fire. And of course you wished them all the best.
Who really gives a diddley squat? Right about their relationship,
but it is front and center, and you have changed
or maybe have made some sort of different assessment because
here's a leader of men, the most alpha men in
all the land, and it appears he's being bossed around

(04:48):
by a young woman, which is odd to see. Is
that the facts? Is that the case? Maybe that's what
he likes. We don't know, but that's what we're led
to believe. But you definitely have a different image of
the guy. You would have never pictured Bill Belichi check
the type of guy to be hanging around a twenty
four year old woman.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
So his image has changed.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
My image change. When he was doing yoga moves with
her on the beach, I was like, wow, he's up there.
He was doing like the fly like Superman that you
do with your kid, right right, And from that moment on,
I'm like, you know what, I don't hate him, you know.
To me, my stance all along has been, if Bill
Belichick is a guy that dedicated fifty years of his

(05:25):
life to football, and now that he's like seventy, he
has a single guy four seventy four. If Bill Belichick
is the type of guy that's.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
Like, you know what, I'm gonna tap some young ass
before it's all over. God bless him. I'm not I'm
not that girl's father, but.

Speaker 4 (05:41):
Still, and you know you don't look at him the
same way I don't, And that's what we're talking about.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
So it's not from a judgy place.

Speaker 4 (05:48):
We're just telling you the story as it is, and
we'll keep your post on the rumors. And then, of course,
the other story today involves Brett Farre. We all knew
the story, we all knew the shady sign of Brett Farr,
but no one really ever.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
Talked about it. It's like he got just what coverage
as you think.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
It's like he got by unscathed because he was such
a hero on the field. That the fact that he
was a piece of trash with women and Jen Sturger
among others in that Jets organization, and the fact that
you know there was, you know, the money in Mississippi.
Like Brett Farr, his true colors are being shown today
and I think moving forward, everyone's gonna just hate it.
For well, if you just joined us again, we bring

(06:28):
him up specifically because after today you're gonna know the
untold story. The Fall of Far debuted on Netflix and
people are buzzing about it, like damn, Danny G came
in today and Danny G knew the stories, but hearing
it firsthand on this documentary, you're like, yo, man, he
was a piece of dru What did you say?

Speaker 1 (06:46):
I don't want to misquote you.

Speaker 3 (06:48):
I just think that half the people are still going
to ignore this stuff.

Speaker 5 (06:54):
Wow, Yeah, that's what.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
But you said it was legit, like it did not
make a.

Speaker 3 (06:58):
Yeah, like when Sturgis was talking, I believed her. Yeah,
you know, and I don't think there's any reason anybody
probably shouldn't with the story in the facts, like she
has proof of what happened through text messages, emails, everything else.
And then there were witnesses to her side.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
Of things, including people in this room, right, and then
so I mean like facts, But then the second.

Speaker 3 (07:20):
The second half of the doc though with the money
it's for the underserved. The money is supposed to go
to the underprivileged in that state, and so that probably
will bother you even more.

Speaker 4 (07:30):
Yeah, so a welfare fraud scheme that he was a
part of, and you learn all about that when you
go home later tonight, you're probably gonna have a different
opinion of Brett Farv your friends are gonna be talking
about it. But Rich says, despite these two stories that
are big in front and center today, there's still a
number one image change in the world of sports.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
It's undeniable.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
And you know, no matter what happens, no matter what
athlete goes heal or gets arrested or does something dumb
or anything, nothing will ever trump. No one will ever
trump the perception well of O. J. Simpson or Rentheal James.

Speaker 1 (08:10):
And I still think, yeah, that is the number one,
will always be the number.

Speaker 2 (08:13):
I mean, we're talking about a guy that was the
most loved player broadcaster. As they say in many of
the documentaries, he was an African American man that racist
white guys liked like he he he crossed every demographic, age, sex, race, everything.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
People loved O J. Simpson. He was a naked gun.
He was a broadcaster to people.

Speaker 4 (08:35):
My girlfriend, who's slightly younger than me, when I try
to explain to her the importance and significance of O. J. Simpson,
I always have to say, like, imagine Shaquille O'Neal, or
Strahan or Michael Strahan like but love, but even more
love than them.

Speaker 2 (08:49):
Arguably, you know, imagine they went on a murder spring.
When you say younger girlfriend, Jordan like, no Belichick, R
no Belichick. Yeah I have to yeah, no Belichick.

Speaker 3 (08:58):
You just said murder spree. So Aaron Hernandez would have
to be way up there on the list because it's
multiple kills.

Speaker 2 (09:06):
Yeah, but he was always known as a bit of
a weirdo as but we all heard that he had
cleaned up his act.

Speaker 3 (09:13):
It was the Belichick and Patriots way and the effect
of their organization, and so we thought he was like
one of those great stories.

Speaker 4 (09:22):
And as a casual fan, you didn't know the backstory.
You just knew this dude was tearing it up. He
was a great tight end, and all of a sudden
he killed people.

Speaker 1 (09:29):
I don't, I don't. I don't discount your answer. It's
in the top.

Speaker 2 (09:31):
It's it's on the list that I just think that
Aaron Hernandez was always like, yo, that guy's a little
rough around because of.

Speaker 3 (09:37):
Where he was from and his friends and all that.
But what my point, Rich was, we were all told
that this was this great American story about how he
got a second chance and he totally cleaned up his life.

Speaker 1 (09:49):
Not the case.

Speaker 4 (09:50):
And you know, it doesn't have to be all negative, right,
because I could throw Tom Brady into that conversation. I
think that after his retirement, I have a totally different
understanding of who Tom Brady is and what he's about.
And he became a hell of a lot more likable
to me after retirement, once he got away from the
whole Patriot's way, and again we started to see a

(10:12):
different side of the guy. Image shift completely because I
thought he was like a stiff, boring, sort of vanilla guy,
really funny, personable dude. So it doesn't have to be
all doom and gloom.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
Yeah, so image changes in the world of sports and entertainment.
Who did you go from loving to hating, hating to loving?
I just think after you watch this far of documentary,
if they were still a party, that's like, yeah, man,
hero Brett farm I think you're gonna think differently. And
I don't judge Belichick, but to say that, it's not
a different impression than the hard nose my life is

(10:44):
football Bill. Now, when you're seeing him being all cutesy
with his twenty something you old girlfriend, you may not
be offended. I'm not offended, but I do look at
him differently, saying like, in my mind, I thought he
only cared about football. Now I'm like, oh, he cares
about booty. Yeah, I Knowea, it's definitely else what different look? Yeah,
Like I think that's the funny part sports is ignoring
because sports doesn't like to you.

Speaker 1 (11:05):
Know, you know what, we're sexual stuff. But let's be honest.

Speaker 2 (11:09):
Sports people don't like to dive into the sexual part
of things is it's a whole taboo. But why are
we ignoring the fact that there's a reason you get
with a hot young woman when you're a powerful older man.
If you don't think sex is a motivator, do you
think they're hanging out because she's cool?

Speaker 1 (11:26):
We have a lot in common, do you think because
oh when we share a love of art?

Speaker 5 (11:30):
No, what do you think about the Vietnam War?

Speaker 1 (11:32):
Bill Belichick?

Speaker 2 (11:33):
Bill Belichick, he's grabbing a hold of some young, hot
bod that he probably thought he would never do again.

Speaker 1 (11:41):
Why are we pretending that's not the real part of this?

Speaker 4 (11:44):
And the other weird part about it is not only
do we look at it different, you don't think it's
young players look at him in a different way. Probably
both Yeah, like, oh, man, well, you know what he's into,
and that's not the kind of look you want for
a guy in a leadership position.

Speaker 3 (12:01):
It's always kind of glorified it though. Look at Huffner.

Speaker 1 (12:04):
Yeah, he was gonna say, like crisis buying a sports car.
It's weird.

Speaker 2 (12:08):
And you know what though, if he wins, though, it's
all forgiven and it's all good. So that cures and
fixes everything. I'll ave Brett Farv the how long we
ignored the Brett Farv thing because he's a superstar, So
image shift the ruse. Let's get back to it. Let's
go to Josh and Ohio and then we'll go around
the room. Here, what's up Josh, Hey, guys, uh mid
mid wait?

Speaker 7 (12:28):
I actually changed my answer. Originally I was gonna go
with Vince McMahon, but he inspired me to go from
positive to negative back to positive. And that's Michael Vick.
We started out, we loved him as a college quarterback.
The pitbull thing happened, and now he's back to being
a commentator. So he's changed his image from positive to
negative back to positive. And I think he needs a

(12:51):
lot of flowers for.

Speaker 2 (12:51):
That, speaking of And I think that's a great answer
isn't he in this documentary contributor? Yeah, he's part of
this Brett Favre documentary because he's all over the trailer.
Michael Vick was hated more for messing with animals than
people are for murdering humans. There are people that are like,
I will never forgive my details of that story are awful,

(13:13):
though I know I totally good for him. The simple
fact is if he was quote rehabilitated and now fights
for animal rights and does stuff and he's a positive
force totally, then what a what a great turnaround? And
that's a great answer. It is a great answer because
you saw all different sides of it.

Speaker 1 (13:29):
What did Josh say? His original answer was Vince.

Speaker 2 (13:32):
That's a great one because Vince mcgraham was a man
of business genius that took wrestling from sweaty you know,
Harry guys grappling to a billion dollar sports entertainment world.
And then you find out, oh man, he's into weird stuff.

Speaker 1 (13:48):
Vince.

Speaker 8 (13:49):
Here's the tough part that and why I think the
Michael Vick answer is magnificent. Nobody here thinks that guy
seems like he could be a murderer, right like, like
so when you're talking about like image and the OJ thing,
Like I just don't think that like you can, because
nobody would think that, Like if it was like, oh,

(14:10):
this guy went and slept with a bunch of different
women or whatever, like oh, it didn't seem seem like
he was a fan. But when you get to the
murder part of it, I don't think anybody could see
that like at all, Like it's I think I think
it's more of an extreme and that's what makes the
VIC so good and what I think that the like
my recommendation was Tiger Woods for of loved for everything

(14:33):
that we thought that he was not knowing who they
are behind the scenes, and then has the scandal with
all of the different women and then comes back and
is reloved again as he wins in the forties and
is then looked at as a dad, you know, of
his two kids, Like a really great answer to I
just think you'd have like a murder or the Hernandez situation,

(14:56):
same thing, and how he ultimately you.

Speaker 4 (14:59):
Know, murder, shocking animal cruelty though that's really what it
comes down to.

Speaker 5 (15:03):
You're like, man, yeah, yeah, that's the part where and then.

Speaker 2 (15:06):
Tiger Woods, you know what I always picture, do you
guys remember the SNL bit where Tim Meadows played like
a goofy Tiger Woods.

Speaker 1 (15:13):
Can you remember that Tim Meadows?

Speaker 2 (15:15):
He's like, you know, I mean, now goofy because Tiger
was like a real goofball aw shucks kind of guy.
When you heard these stories about what a womanizer he was,
you're like, what Tiger Listen, I'm not trying to defend
Tiger Woods, but and then again, he's beloved. I look
at Tiger Woods and Bill Belichick. I'm not saying the same,
but when you're so dedicated to something the way Tiger

(15:36):
Woods was so disciplined with golf, the way Bill Belichick
dedicated fifty years to you know, I'm gonna win at
every level. Football assistant coach, coach, most Super Bowl rings.
I think as a party that forgets men's downfall so
many times booty is women and like, it wasn't shocking
to me the Tiger Woods mixed in with emotional championships

(15:58):
and injuries in life. I don't think Tiger Woods, like
every other man, had a soft spot for a good
looking woman. It sounds ridiculous and so juvenile, but look
at politics, look at sports, so many downfalls revolve around women.

Speaker 8 (16:12):
Sure it was the extent of what Tiger was doing
as well, with so many different women at different times.

Speaker 1 (16:18):
And counts at eighteen.

Speaker 2 (16:21):
Eighteen holes of golf not eighteen I forget, I think
it was.

Speaker 4 (16:25):
I think he was, man, I think he was, But
you're right, Dan, and then totally reinvented himself again. So
it's sort of on that Michael Vick era of we
saw how the image changed twice.

Speaker 1 (16:39):
Or three times.

Speaker 2 (16:40):
I mean again, we forget that when with great power
and success in money, a man could very well fall
into a world of women that may not be there
for the right reasons. And trust me, Tiger Woods, when
you look back now, you're like, dude, Cince, he was
a little boy golfing success, greatest of all time. Injuries

(17:05):
take place, like everything has the equation to fall, and
women is a great reason.

Speaker 5 (17:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (17:12):
So let's say hi to Mark and the Qus have
some dinosaur barbecue.

Speaker 1 (17:17):
What's up buddy?

Speaker 5 (17:18):
Hey? Mark? We got Mark.

Speaker 1 (17:22):
There we go, Mark, buddy, what's up?

Speaker 5 (17:28):
Hey?

Speaker 9 (17:28):
How you doing?

Speaker 5 (17:29):
What's up?

Speaker 1 (17:29):
A bud uh?

Speaker 5 (17:30):
Tiger Wood? Tiger Woods was great.

Speaker 3 (17:32):
I didn't even think of him.

Speaker 5 (17:33):
But the one I was was Ryan Leaf.

Speaker 8 (17:36):
I mean that's pales comparison to Tiger.

Speaker 4 (17:39):
But Ryan Leaf was one of those guys that he
also self admittedly had, you know, his demons, But what
a great guy he is every time we see him,
and he's been cool with us.

Speaker 2 (17:49):
So Ryan Leaf is a guy that high hopes ended
up in prison. Right now, we see Ryan Leaf at
sports events, the malls, media rows, Ryan Leaf is the
first guy stop and have a great conversation with a
really good guy.

Speaker 4 (18:02):
Health a big priority, Like he's fit and looks great.
So yeah, he's definitely turned it around. Uh, dellaway hair,
what's up?

Speaker 5 (18:09):
Jimmy Hey, Adrian Peterson?

Speaker 2 (18:14):
Yeah, I mean ap with the hull remember the switch
and hitting hitting the kid?

Speaker 1 (18:19):
Right? That was the thing, Like that was a big moment. Yeah,
that was a big debate his son.

Speaker 3 (18:23):
Yeah, and now he's having he's in some serious financial
deep waters.

Speaker 1 (18:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (18:29):
And the story of you know how to discipline your
own kid and I recently too, what was common for
certain culture is not common for everybody. It opened up
a lot of eyes and yeah, he's he's one of
those that deal with that.

Speaker 8 (18:41):
What about I think Alex Rodriguez is quite the turnaround Yeah,
what about Roger Clemens.

Speaker 1 (18:48):
Well that's a good one.

Speaker 5 (18:50):
Get kind of an under the radar.

Speaker 8 (18:51):
And the reason I bring it up is, here's a
guy when you think of back when we were growing up,
I mean, you would think that he would just be
a legendary Red Sox player, right, And so then he
goes place for the Yankees and the and the Blue
Jays and Astros and all those teams, and then then
with the you know, ped scandal, and now like when

(19:13):
you're looking back at like those eight like, it's just like.

Speaker 5 (19:17):
It wasn't rocket Roger. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (19:18):
You know what's crazy about that too, Dan, is how
he won Cy Young's with a lot of those teams,
and the Yankees even turned their back on the guy.
And you never saw him in any highlight videos until
recently he was brought to spring training or whatever. But
that's the first we saw him. I think even this
year was the first we saw him there. So as
a guy who you believed was all about baseball and

(19:40):
all about the Red Sox, like you said, ended up
being viewed as as not the guy we remembered.

Speaker 5 (19:46):
For sure.

Speaker 1 (19:47):
Image changers.

Speaker 2 (19:50):
I like the a Rod Answers, I love Farv and
Belichick and a lot of people were one day. You
feel one way, by the way, the broadcaster totally like
redeemed any sort of cringey moments he may have had. Cove,
you know, and I both agree that a Rod went
from Putt like Putts that just couldn't get it right,
but yet a legend to a broadcaster that's very likable.

Speaker 1 (20:11):
Like just recently I was analysis recently.

Speaker 2 (20:13):
He just he was walking past, grabbed two kids, kids
were playing cornhole. He grabbed it, through it and nailed
the shot. And he'said, yeah, like a Rod's sort of likable.

Speaker 5 (20:22):
Got busted twice.

Speaker 8 (20:24):
Yeah, like we just you know, like you just mentioned,
you know, Roger Clemens in that like conversation, and I'm
not saying that that's still being held against Roger Clemens.
His I thought his profile just would have been bigger
than what it is. And a Rod got busted twice.
The Yankees, as he said, uh oh, the Yankees couldn't
wait to get rid of a Rod either. But yeah,
but now front and center everywhere. He'll be front and

(20:46):
center tonight, probably in Oklahoma City as the Tea Wolves owner.

Speaker 1 (20:50):
Let's let's say how to Greg. We'll wrap it up
in Hartford.

Speaker 2 (20:53):
Then we'll play a little shack Diesel trivia if you
want in eight seven, seven, nine nine on Fox, will
get a contest and Danny g will lie that up.
We'll give away a stainless steel Swiggy. What's up, Greg Hartford?

Speaker 9 (21:06):
Thanks guys. So the way I'm looking at this is
who am I not getting a selfie with? Because it
would just blow up my feed? Like why would you
do it to? Who I would not get a selfie
with is Lance Armstrong. Don't have time for.

Speaker 2 (21:20):
That one, but I would.

Speaker 9 (21:22):
And then but one of redemption is Plastic Go Burst.
I would love to get a selfie with him. So
there you goo.

Speaker 5 (21:31):
Yeah, he's on our network now.

Speaker 2 (21:32):
You know, based on his assessment of the selfie, OJ
would be the most controversial one because.

Speaker 1 (21:38):
We were on, you know, before he died.

Speaker 5 (21:40):
You remember this day, for I was the one that
pointed about you. That's right what He was wearing a
Bills hat too.

Speaker 2 (21:47):
He was in row one, seat A of our Southwest
flight from Burbank to Las Vegas, and he was greeting
everyone like little head Nods' is like oh hey juice,
oh my god, it's o J Simpsons.

Speaker 1 (21:57):
I was hoping karma didn't play a part in our flight.

Speaker 2 (21:59):
And Cavino the whole flight, he was like, you know,
if this flight goes down, people will cheer.

Speaker 1 (22:02):
Damn it.

Speaker 5 (22:04):
I know.

Speaker 2 (22:04):
And when we were about to get off the plane,
we joked in remember saying like, yeah, yeah, if you
got the Huevos to get a selfie with OJ, like
one hundred bucks.

Speaker 3 (22:13):
Yes, yeah, So the rest we also said, if that
plane had unfortunately crashed, the headline would be football legend
dies and murderer dies and two radio hosts.

Speaker 4 (22:26):
Two radio clowns, I think is what we agreed on.
Two radio clowns. And the reason we bring this up, guys,
image shifts, image changes, is because there's two stories.

Speaker 1 (22:38):
Today.

Speaker 4 (22:38):
Bill Belichick might be engaged to his twenty four year
old girlfriend, renamed his boat one plus eight Rings, not
the Bill Belichick you knew a year or two ago,
and Brett Farv. After you see this documentary that premiered today,
you'll probably think differently of the guy.

Speaker 1 (22:57):
No doubt.

Speaker 2 (22:58):
Right, Well, hey you want in, we'll play some shack
Diesel trivia.

Speaker 1 (23:01):
Coming up, I will pay tribute to a TV legend
who passed away. If you don't know, we'll give you.

Speaker 2 (23:06):
The sad news coming up all here on Covin on
Rich Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 4 (23:22):
Rest in peace. George Went seventy six years old. Norm
from Cheers died peacefully in his sleep. That's the update there.

Speaker 2 (23:34):
By the way, just to put in perspective, you know
how we talk about how for some reason back in
the day, you look at your parents a yearbook and
everyone looks like they're thirty.

Speaker 4 (23:41):
In high school dudes had full on mutton shops. Dad,
are fifty years old in high school. TV dads of
the eighties, You're like, how old are they? According to
the stats the cast of Cheers. When you're looking at
the group shot, they've labeled the ages. George Went was
supposed to be thirty four dancing as the bar owner
thirty five? Who's the guy that put the mailman with

(24:06):
the mustache? Both his character again Cliff, Yeah Cliff thirty
five and Yeah Cliff Claven and the women on that show.

Speaker 2 (24:17):
Were both thirty three years old thirty three, So George
Went was actually like in his mid to late thirties,
though he is. What I'm saying, it's like they looked
at you like I was Sam, I was say, I'm
guessing your grandparents are no longer with us.

Speaker 5 (24:32):
Well, if you lost my last grandparents in March, I.

Speaker 1 (24:35):
Have a theory.

Speaker 2 (24:36):
But let me just tell everyone right now if you
want to call the win, let's get the phones going.
Eight seven, seven, nine to nine on Fox. Oh yeah,
we're gonna play our game, Shack Diesel Trivia. It's real
easy to play, and we're giving away a swiggy to
the winner. Our stainless steel stainless the other one's stains.
This one's tainless stainless stainless steel water bottle.

Speaker 1 (24:53):
It's midnight black.

Speaker 4 (24:54):
It's real nice, and your chance to win is now
eight seven, seven ninety nine on Five.

Speaker 1 (24:59):
Now back to my grandpa theory.

Speaker 2 (25:00):
And I bring that up, Sam, because I feel like
most of us have lost our grandparents. Right you think
of your old grandma and grandpa and the people that
helped raise us, you'd be at Grandma's house. My grandmother
wore a moomoo. My grandfather was a World War Two
veteran who like brushed his hair back and washed his
hands with like lava soap after he worked on his
car in the driveway. My grandfather washed his face with
all that, they looked like they were eighty when they

(25:21):
were fifty five. And I look at my dad and
my mom now, who are roughly both around seventy, they
look twenty years younger than my grandparents looked at that age.
So when you look back at the eighties and you're like,
wait a minute, hold on, Like these TV dads are
supposed to be thirty, they look fifty, I don't just
we aged different.

Speaker 1 (25:42):
Look at me, I like a little man boy. Look
at me.

Speaker 5 (25:45):
You are a man, man boy, look at me.

Speaker 1 (25:47):
Yeah, maturity level, man boy, man boy.

Speaker 2 (25:49):
All right, Danny G. Phones were all hot. We'll get
that contesta right now for Shack Diesel.

Speaker 4 (25:54):
Trivia saw him in the hallway.

Speaker 1 (25:57):
Get him.

Speaker 4 (25:57):
It looks like he's in a rush. Obviously a big
night to night Wolves at Thunder and we're pumped about it.
So always excited to see Shack Diesel.

Speaker 2 (26:08):
Well, I'm gonna give some basketball picks in a few
seconds for tonight's game while Danny G gets a contestants,
I just want to point out one thing Shack when
he gets in here. You know the rumors about the
the NBA Draft lottery being rigged, did you see what
Shack said he he said in the nineties, David Stern asked,
David Stern says, do you want to play in a
hot or cold place?

Speaker 4 (26:29):
You're you're stealing all of Shak's material. You know what, Well,
you know what. We'll talk to Shaq in a second.

Speaker 1 (26:35):
He already said it. He asked.

Speaker 4 (26:37):
David Stern asked, Shack, you want to play where it's
hot or cold? And Shaq said, We're it's hot and
he ended up in Orlando.

Speaker 1 (26:45):
But if he was just asking his preference, Ah, well,
why what do you prefer? Just where he ended up?
Let's do what I was saying. I'm shacked Diesel trivia.

Speaker 5 (26:53):
Whenever we say not to name drop, that means we're
about to name drop. I'll drop.

Speaker 2 (26:58):
Oh my goodness, you are ceing our friends with Tyson
and mahomes.

Speaker 1 (27:02):
Hey, man, they're all so buddies with a big Aristonta.

Speaker 6 (27:07):
What's up this big Shack Diesel aka Shack fou aka
Shack Daddy. Okay, the big Aristotle. Guess what's Domina want
from seeing our project?

Speaker 3 (27:16):
Time for some basketball Triviael basketball trivia?

Speaker 5 (27:20):
What he said?

Speaker 6 (27:22):
He's the great bat boys now breaking records for Refisol Radio.

Speaker 5 (27:25):

Speaker 3 (27:28):
All right, FSR Security walking our broke shack food into

Speaker 6 (27:40):

allegedly Davis and asked me, but you already told the story,
So carry on. I will tell you this the recipe.
George went, he's my my third favorite George on TV?

Speaker 1 (27:54):
Who's your first?

Speaker 6 (27:55):
Hills about George Jefferson, the boy, Georg Jefferson, And I'm
not talking about Steven A. Smith talking about George Jefferson,
and then George Jatson and then George went.

Speaker 1 (28:06):
Rust Jenson's van huh?

Speaker 3 (28:08):
Justsinan, who do you got tonight for Game one of
the Western Conference Finals?

Speaker 1 (28:12):

Speaker 6 (28:13):

the Timberwolves. But the Nick's are definitely in. All right,
you heard it full Nicks all R. Let's meet the contestants.
Ten time winner Rich Davis.

Speaker 3 (28:24):

swing in our studio lines. The first one through was

Speaker 1 (28:42):
Neil, Neil? What's up? Man?

Speaker 3 (28:44):
Alright?

Speaker 6 (28:44):
Let's go?

Speaker 5 (28:45):
All right? Neil? What you do really quick for a
living there in Lacrosse? Cheese? What was that? What do
you do for a living in Wisconsin? There?

Speaker 7 (28:55):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (28:55):
I deliver just deliver good.

Speaker 5 (28:57):
Oh, delivering good to the region. He's what he does.

Speaker 3 (29:02):
Here are the rules for Shack Diesel Trivia. The first
contestant with two correct answers is the champ. If there's
a tie, we do have a tie breaker question. Your
name is your buzzer, but you do have to wait
until all three possible answers are read. If there's two
wrong answers in a row, we move on to the
next question. Are you ready?

Speaker 1 (29:17):
Yeah, let's go.

Speaker 5 (29:18):
Let's get it home.

Speaker 6 (29:19):
Who was the first team to lose three straight NBA Finals?
Was it a Lakers? I don't be the Celtics or
see the Knicks. Shock Diesel.

Speaker 5 (29:30):
Who you got?

Speaker 1 (29:32):
Come on, I'm giving you a chance, Neil.

Speaker 6 (29:33):
You got first team to lose three straight NBA Finals.

Speaker 5 (29:36):
Neil, Yeah, no penalty if you're wrong.

Speaker 1 (29:38):
Rich Rich Lakers.

Speaker 5 (29:42):
Rich you say Lakers, it's Lakers. No, it's not.

Speaker 1 (29:46):
It's not Lakers.

Speaker 5 (29:47):
It's not.

Speaker 3 (29:48):
No. But that was nice, nice try. He's so confident
you were a Neil, Neil, you got to shout your
name out.

Speaker 5 (29:56):
Yep, Celtic, his name's yep. And you're both losers. It
was the Knicks.

Speaker 6 (30:05):
Nicks lost to the Rochester Royals and fifty one and
the Minneapolis Lakers fifty two and fifty three.

Speaker 5 (30:11):
That's nobody on the way to be wrong about.

Speaker 2 (30:14):
Ask klown you know why the Lakers were an obvious
good answer because you know how many years they lost
to the Celtics.

Speaker 6 (30:19):
Guy, this guy's always justifying. He's love what he's like
that every time he loses. So wrong, he's talking like that.
You can't talk to shock. You better relax.

Speaker 3 (30:30):
All right, nobody on the board yet. Let's go around two.
What was our ones QUOTEA saying about my habits? Hey,
excellence is not a singular act but a habit. What
are you repeating? You are what you repeatedly do? B
I've had three habits. I've dealt with cars, women, and

(30:51):
collecting businesses or see a lot of bad habits finally
get broken when they break your bank account. Oh what
have I said about my habits? Spot spot, I'm gonna
go with c No man.

Speaker 1 (31:04):
Neil, you're gonna jump in or what I'll go beat?

Speaker 5 (31:08):
You be wrong, You'll be wrong.

Speaker 1 (31:12):
Exblins is not a singular act.

Speaker 6 (31:14):
Habit.

Speaker 1 (31:15):
You are what you repeatedly do. Neil, You're like shock
of the free throw a lot all.

Speaker 5 (31:19):
Strikes so far. Yeah, as we go around through.

Speaker 3 (31:23):
Yeah, Neil, just buzzing by saying your name, Remember your
name is Neil.

Speaker 6 (31:28):
Round three? Yep, round three. I felt bad for Jason Tatum.
Let's get a question in about the Sea's glory days.
Who is the only team to defeat the Celtics at
the infamous Boston Garden during the nineteen eighty five eighty
six season. Ay the Washington Bullets b the Portland Trail
Blazers or ce the New York Knicks.

Speaker 8 (31:51):
Dan Buyer, Let's say the Blazers came to town and
gotta win.

Speaker 5 (31:55):
You are correct, Yes, Old Greb thanks yep? Yeah.

Speaker 3 (32:01):
December sixth, nineteen eighty five the only loss at Boston Garden.
They finished thirty seven and won that season. That's amazing,
that insane.

Speaker 5 (32:09):
All right, Buyer on the board. We go to round four.

Speaker 6 (32:11):
That's right, shot diesel around four. I was a busy
boy back in my day as well. How many children
does the t wolves Anthony Edwards have? Is it a
eight B six four C four? Now, Neil, if you
don't get this right, kick my shoe off and hit
you over the head. You say your name first, Neil.

(32:33):
You gotta buzz in by saying your name death.

Speaker 5 (32:37):
Okay, now yeah, shout out Neil, yep, Neil B six.

Speaker 3 (32:46):
No, No, he'd be just a buyer for the steal
in the way. Oh gosh, se was yes, all right, yes, four.

Speaker 1 (32:56):
Anthony Edwards has four kids. Look at this, four kids
by four different women. So he's off to a good start.
He's only twenty three years old. All right, thank you.

Speaker 5 (33:07):
Buyer gets his fourteenth win. My god, I was painful.
I had to save Wisconsin's pride.

Speaker 3 (33:14):
Come on, now, George went now, usually buyer is a
no brainer for you to still mail the SWIGGI out.

Speaker 6 (33:19):
No, no, I want to. I want to interject and
say we have to set a standard. That guy was
as my my good friend, Charles will say.

Speaker 5 (33:29):
Terrible chat's game.

Speaker 1 (33:31):
He was terrible.

Speaker 6 (33:32):
He We love you out of this Neil still Neil
gets a slap in the head.

Speaker 5 (33:37):
That's what he gets. We still love you, though, Neil.
Thank you for listening. Goodbye, Thanks, yep, love guys.

Speaker 1 (33:42):
All right, guys, enjoy the game tonighte bye dead buyer
run a late update.

Speaker 8 (33:46):
Let's go Yeah. A couple of things, guys. Guardians and
Twins postponed tonight. They were supposed to resume the game
that didn't complete yesterday. They're going to do that tomorrow,
play on Wednesday, and then they'll make up tonight's game
later on in the season in September. Tonight, I'm the Hardwood.
It is the Thunder and Timberwolves playing Game one of
the Western Conference Finals, eight thirty Eastern time, Game one

(34:07):
of the Eastern Finals on the ice Panthers and Hurricanes
skating Raleigh at eight Eastern. NFL owners did pass a
rule that will allow players to play flag football in
the twenty twenty eighth Summer Olympics. Tush push and playoffs
seating up for debate tomorrow. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell did
tell CNBC the league will go to sixteen international games
within the next five years. Probably those were his words.

(34:28):
Bears gave guard Joe Tony a two year extension, and
Hall of Famer Charles Woodson had his purchase of a
minority share of the Cleveland Browns approved today by NFL
ownership guys.

Speaker 4 (34:39):
Back to you, Hey, thanks Dan, appreciate you, and thanks
for participating in that and putting that to rest. That
heated yep trivia game. All right, Hey CNR on FSR And.

T Wolves and the Thunder Thunder game.

Speaker 2 (35:33):
One a couple hours away. I gotta bet for you
a little wager DraftKings pick six, but I'm not going
six because I like my odds. I got a ten
dollars wins.

Speaker 1 (35:50):
Eighty Danny g. You want to hear this, bad boy?

Speaker 4 (35:51):
Yes, go, But you know what, I'm gonna make everybody

So at tire rack dot com the way tire buying
should be thanks again to tire Rack.

Speaker 1 (36:13):
Let's hear it Rich, Here's what I like now.

Speaker 2 (36:16):
A lot of times DraftKings does this cool thing where
they sort of give you a gimme. You ever see
these things where it's like Anthony Edwards more than point
five points because they want you to, you know, want
you to play.

Speaker 5 (36:26):
Sure.

Speaker 2 (36:26):
I'm taking advantage of the suite offerings from DraftKings. So
here's what I'm doing. It's Anthony Edwards more than half
a point. It was twenty five and a half. But
they're given that to you as like the little bonus.
So I'm going more than Anthony more than point five
for Anthony Edwards and for also Minnesota Julius Randall more
than nineteen and a half. He scored twenty more in

(36:49):
I think five of the last six games, so Julius
Randall needs to hit twenty or more.

Speaker 1 (36:53):
Now.

Speaker 2 (36:54):
Alex Caruso on the other side of things, okay, see,
he's had double digit games I think also like six
of the last seven game, game seven.

Speaker 1 (37:04):
So eight and a half. You know, just think Cruso
to get nine.

Speaker 2 (37:06):
I like that and the one risky one I did
because he has proven to just be a big game player.
You're likely MVP SGA more than thirty one and a half,
So you need thirty two from SGA, twenty from Randall,
double digits for Caruso and Anthony Edwards just to score

(37:27):
a point and that's ten bucks win ja eighty a
think been buckeroos?

Speaker 1 (37:32):
Yeah, ten bucks win yeah?

Speaker 5 (37:34):
Why not? Right? Yeah.

Speaker 4 (37:36):
By the way, I'm thinking about what Shaquille O'Neal said
when he was here broke shack.

Speaker 5 (37:42):
And he said I'm never coming back.

Speaker 4 (37:44):
He did say, you know, Rich talks too much and
that guy sucked as a contestant, but glad he played,
and he said he was very busy. He also said
that the NBA's rigged allegedly, right, Yeah, he sudden leaned
to him based on David Stern saying, hey, where do
you want to play? Whereas Colder whar is hot and
then Orlando gets the first pick and they picked Shack.

(38:07):
If it comes down to ratings, and we already alluded
that the NBA has to want the Knicks because that
equals ratings. Who what would be the better ratings? Grab
the Knicks, Timberwolves or the thunder.

Speaker 1 (38:23):
SGA is you're.

Speaker 2 (38:25):
Likely MVP, But then again, Anthony Edwards Edwards the better
star right, they're they're They're both Like, would you.

Speaker 1 (38:32):
Broke Shack did say Nicks Timberwolves.

Speaker 5 (38:34):
Edwards has the bigger star power.

Speaker 1 (38:36):
Yeah, that's what I think too.

Speaker 2 (38:37):
Yeah, that's my answer though, you know, Daniel compared to
the NFL, when we said brock Purty sitting with a
similar salary to Tua and Golf and other guys, We're like, yeah,
so it does make sense.

Speaker 1 (38:47):
I think.

Speaker 2 (38:48):
I think the t Wolves and the thunder and that
same level of like yo, young, exciting team, but not
they don't have the star power of the Lakers, the Warriors.

Speaker 3 (38:55):
And it stinks that they're a small market team because
they're when they're clicking, they're really fun to watch. They
play a fun brand of basketball.

Speaker 2 (39:03):
Do you rather say you want rather see Minnesota gaus?
They'll make your a boss happy, right Yeah?

Speaker 1 (39:07):
No, I agree with Danny G.

Speaker 4 (39:10):
The Anthony Edwards storyline is probably a bigger story for
the casual guy because they all know him by now.
With the Jordan comparisons, the young superstars on the Thunder
people aren't that familiar with maybe Caruso and SGA, but
again not as exciting as Anthony. But I do wonder

(39:31):
is this the beginning of like the SGA's first of
many and then we'll look back and be like, why
do we downplay this this kid?

Speaker 6 (39:38):
Like? You know?

Speaker 4 (39:39):
So, what is the finals that you would want to
see that the networks would.

Speaker 2 (39:42):
Want to hit us up at Covin and rituals. See
you guys back here to mar Thank you Danny G.
And I was Sam and Spotty until then?

Speaker 5 (39:48):
Are weave it?

Speaker 1 (39:48):
There you baby? See you and the promised land Haven'
