headline from a New York Post today? Rich Davis from
Fox Sports Radios and dummy, no, no, no, It says
MLB's Golden at Bat is utterly the most moronic disgrace
of an idea ever. And I'm like, you know, how
did I had? I let Rich like sway me here?

holiday parties underway, because this week is our Fox Sports
Radio Company holiday party, Christmas party, whatever you want to

Yeah, you might say some questionable things. You may flirt
it up with the wrong person everyone's gonna be talking
about it.

May go dip away and get high. Yeah, you just

And I remember there was a company party at serious
XM years ago. Yeah, company parties. They used to go
all out. Now before things like budget cuts and stuff
like that. Yeah, back in the day, we used to
have wherever you worked, you had big parties. You could
bring your wife or husband. You all you can eat,
all you could drink at nice places.

Now a lot.

If you wanted to flirt with the hobby at the office,
you can't bring your wife, dude. I mean, speaking of which,
think of love. Actually the movie you hate, the movie
I love. The whole point is that they had some
elaborate Christmas party. That's how the world was. Office Christmas party,
a great Christmas, and it turned into party in the lobby.
And now we're actually having a good one this year.
I'm excited about it at a nearby restaurant. But what's

the rule? Tell everybody the rule? Rich, Yeah, if your company,
I guess it's optics too, right. You can't do budget
cuts and then go all out for a Christmas party.
You have to be like, hey, we're gonna have the
company party in the lobby. We've got some garbage cans
full of Miller lights. Like, that's it, some jungle juice.
That's some company parties that I would say. The rule
is you can't be the worst, right, But you also
have to have a real friend that's not in competition

with you, to tell you and remind you when to
say when, and to keep you off the dance floor,
and to stop you from doing the worm, to stop
you from tying the tie around your head, to stop
you from throwing up on yourself, flirting with the hobby
in front of everybody, like you need someone, You need
someone to have your back a little bit. Don't cross

like company raises, your advance numbers, things like.

The stocks at We should be getting raises now. So

Learned this role seriously when we were at Sirius XM,

had a colleague that just made such an ass of himself. Dude,
he was, you know, throwing up. I'm thinking of two
different guys out there's there's two different series. Because there
were times where I would have a bunch of drinks.

I'd be like party animal guy, and cav you know,
would say you're lucky. I'm like Wally my wookie. He
goes while you were a little out of control. You
paled in comparison to Blank. One year, one of the
older employees got very like old school machismo with some
of the female employees. I'm like, Yo, this guy's gonna
get fired. That guy made me look tame, right. And

then this year the drunk guy. Some employee got so
drunk he passed out. People were taking pictures with him
like he was weekend at Bernie. Yes, it's like the
ass on his head and stuff. That's like Todd Packer
in the office. So he's covered to silly string. Not
the look you want with your colleagues. It's fun to unwind.
It's fun to have fun. But that's your holiday party

a while. Let's move to another idea that Summer saying
is dumb and others are saying, Yo, this is the
way forward, and not just because they're my team, because
it's a the San Francisco forty nine Ers. If you're
John Lynch, you're Kyle Shanahan. And by the way, I

looked at the schedule ahead. If the Niners win for
their last five, which I don't think will happen, the
teams in that division still play tough teams. I wouldn't
be shocked if you want to take like a wild
futures bet forty nine Ers make the postseason if you
could get a great value on because yeah, they played
the Lions. Outside of that, they could win the other

four games. It's like the Bears, Rams, Dolphins. So it's
not crazy where the Cardinals and Seahawks have to play
Minnesota Green Bay like this. There's tough games there and
they have to play each other. The forty nine ers
likely though I'm guessing nine to eight, eight and nine
missed the postseason. Now there's two trains of thought. You

pay brock Purty. He's proven that with the talent or without,
he is clearly an above average NFL quarterback. Yeah, I
mean you got to give him prompts that even during
this season where they're playing terrible and dealing with a
lot of injuries, a multitude of it, he has avoided.

Really all criticism. No one has won.

I've never heard anyone say he's the issue, or he's
the problem, or he's the reason. If anything, he's keeping
it together and he's rising above the fact that that
team's injured. So he's proven himself more this year than
I'd say in previous years.

One could argue.

That, I mean, he's had some dead games, but no
one's not the reason. No one's saying the Niners, it's
all brock Perty's fault. Huba's stank not singing about him.
So the reason is not him.

The reasons not him. But here's the question. When you
do have aging stars, stars, stars and stars, McCaffrey not
getting Deebo, Samuel Trent Williams is still the best, but
that clock is ticking. The forty nine ers are a

bunch of aging future Hall of famers. They have I
think they have gas left in the tank, but they
can't take a road trip, is what I'm saying. There's
there's gas left in the tank, but they're not driving
a vegas They they gotta stop in like Bakersfield.

They're gonna stop in Uh was it Primada? They're gonna
stop by Whiskey peepe. They can't make it all the way.
They're gonna go to Buffalo Bills. First, My point is
the Niner stell guess in the tank went healthy. But
do you worry about making your team deeper without Rock Purty?

Or do you say no, no, make this team deeper.
Don't give Purty fifty million dollars a year, maybe more,
draft a quarterback. See what the free agent market looks
like for some of these, some of these, you know, journeyman,
the forty nine ers are still in that. I think

they're still in that little window where with some adjustments,
they could win. You said it about the Eagles. We
thought the Eagles were done. We thought Buffalo was done?

So next year better off with or without Purse?

Do you go forward and say we're gonna make this
team deep, but go with a lesser QB because I
believe in Shanahan's system. Or do you say, hey, listen, Brock,
Parties earned it. And then there's option three, which is
I think a little cold.

You could make Party play for one point nine million
and give him that one year tech would would that
be dirty?

If the NFL twenty twenty five draft was held right now,

to is it the system or is it Tom Brady?

that said, if Kyle Shanahan was let go, eighty percent

Kyle Shanahan. You don't get rid of Kyle Shanahan on
a down injured year. So Shanahan, John Lynch, that's a combo.
You want to keep around for a decade and build
around and see if you could revamp the way the
Golden State Warriors, the way the Patriots, the way franchises.
The only difference is the Niners haven't finished the job. Well,
let me answer you the question before we move on.

Based on the fact that you'd get the fourteenth pick,
I'd say you stick with Party. I say you even
tag him, you stick with Purdy, give give them the
bunk deal and be like, yeah, you're sticking around for
like two mil. Yeah, Rep Party continue with a healthy
forty nine ers team. He sort of earned it as well.
He's still young. That's the other plus side of a
rock Party. He's young, doesn't have a lot of wear

and tear, he's healthy. He'll have his team back. They'll
be healthy. I don't think you take that fourteenth round chance.
If you got your health fourteenth pick chance, I'm sorry.
When you have all your high profile players coming back
ready to go next year, No way, that's.

I think brock party was just, I don't say an anomaly,
but he really sees that moment of gaining the respect
of a lot of veteran players because he proved himself
and he played well. To think that another young player
is going to step in and be able to do
the same thing, that's really asking a lot of a
young player with a lot of veteran superstars. Let me

throw a name it you like Brock, That's what made
rock Purty specials. He immediately won everybody over and he
played well. Not everybody he's gonna be able to do that.
Let me let me throw a name at you, and
you could say, well, been there, done that, but not really.
What if I said Sam Donald? Sam Donald was the
backup last year in San Francisco. Shanahan loves him, he

knows the system. Minnesota clearly is going to move forward
with JJ McCarthy at some point, and we've talked about
it the other day, like Minnesota really want to pay
Sam Donald when they know the future is somewhere else.
But now you're changing question but no, but yeah, what
I'm saying, would you rather pay a Donald or pay
a Party?

But I think Donald comes cheaper than pretty really, do you?

you know what they're saying, had he took over for
the Niners last year, he could he would have done

forty nine ers do with the quarterback position? Assuming they
don't make the postseason, they don't somehow luck out sneak

in and maybe win a wildcard game. If the forty
nine ers are out nine and eight, eight and nine, well,
is there some buzz that that brock Perty you think
is cramping the forty nine ers?

number six. They say, so those of you who still
believe he's nothing more than a product of Kyle Shanahan's
scheme and playmakers, think again. He's propped up a Niners
team that has been crushed by injuries, and then it
gives his stats, says at the time, there were three
and three. He has an enormous chance to himself.

I'm just surprised they ranked him so high. But that's
exactly what I said he had more. One could argue
he's shown how good he is this year with all
the injuries, and he has in previous years.

Has he proven himself since that three and three moment, though,
Rich because we're Nick right, and other guys I've seen
lately on TV are arguing saying he's just average and
he's basically a mirror of the stars he has around
him on offense, so if they're missing, then you know
he doesn't step up as a superstar.

I think you look at Rock Party, and again, I'm
not avoiding the answer. Covino, thanks for calling me out.
I appreciate that because I didn't give my answer. But
my answer is simply, I don't think brock Party is
worth top tier money. I think if he's willing to
take a Baker Mayfield Daniel Jones' contract he took a
couple of years ago. If you told me Rock Purty
