(00:24):
be rocking out, let's go all right?
Speaker 2 (00:26):
Hey, uh, I can't lie and tell you that the
forty nine ers winning yesterday in dramatic fashion in a
game that I felt like they were gonna let slip
away totally change my mood. I don't like to be
the guy where I let my sports teams dictate my moods.
But when your team wins or loses week one, I
may be analogy before. It's like bowling. If you bowl
(00:48):
an open frame. In the first frame, you're like, oh.
Speaker 1 (00:50):
Can we just start over? Like no one wants to
lose week one, so I feel immediately behind the ape.
Like having a disagreement with your wife the first day
of vacation. You gotta set the tone.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
Yeah you want week one, you want the day one
of a vacation or the NFL season to result in fireworks,
right right.
Speaker 1 (01:06):
Rich has a theory. Why don't you share your theory
with the Fox Sports Radio Nation the PG version of course. Oh,
set the tone? Yeah, if you want us uncensored on
Patreon Monday through Friday, Covino and Rich. But it's about
setting the tone. I feel like the Bills set the tone.
I feel like the Packers, the forty nine Ers, the Steelers,
the Colts, the Raiders, Dandy G's Raiders. It's all about
(01:28):
Gino Smith and Pete Carroll set the tone.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
Due, No, who did not set the tone? Russell Wilson, No, no,
you know who didn't.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
Set the tone. Damn Bayer Seahawks. You know who did
not set the tone.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
I'm trying to think of anyone that lost the kuddle,
the Lions. The Lions, yeah, they were never in the game.
Speaker 3 (01:47):
I know that was tough.
Speaker 1 (01:48):
But my set the tone theory, I just want to
throw it out there. I'll try to give you the
PG version.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
I always say, when when you go on vacation with
your wife, girlfriend, whoever you're hanging around with.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
Yeah, and these are big moments in life. You want
them to count. You want vibes to be good.
Speaker 2 (02:04):
You get to the resort Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Mexico, you're
on like an exotic vacation, like a beachy when you're
on island time, we got your vacation shirts. When you're
sitting on Calikus. You take that little bus to the resort.
You get there, they give you like a free cocktail
as you walk in.
Speaker 1 (02:22):
See you see free cocktail for you and my friend.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
You sit down, they check you in, bring you over
a little drink. I feel like before we even walk
around the resort, the sound of the steel drummers in
the background, before you grab a drink or food, before
you do anything. You know, when you tell the guy
like I don't need you to help me carry my
bag to my room, just I have to give you
five bucks.
Speaker 1 (02:43):
Now I got my bag, I'm fine.
Speaker 2 (02:45):
I think you immediately have to get it on like
I'm talking like all right, thank you, thanks checked in boom.
You and the WiFi or girlfriend or whatever have to
lay it down immediately because then you're both in like
great spirits and you set the tongue, you set the tone.
There's no like pressure to be like you know, we're
on vacation. We haven't been all over each other. Immediately,
just get on each other, have a fun quickie, get
(03:07):
it out of the way.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
It sets the tone tone. I mean, I'm just I'm
all about setting the tone.
Speaker 3 (03:12):
Set the tone.
Speaker 2 (03:12):
And I think setting the tone is winning Week one
of the NFL because it's just striking the first frame right.
You got to start off on the right foot, and
some teams did that. Some teams didn't it, but some
teams did it even in a loss, because you know,
the Ravens are a team to beat. Of course, I'm
the electric that's gonna be end, that's gonna be in
(03:32):
my things that made you go home. But I do
want to point out, like if you ever played high school,
college baseball, any level of baseball, even little league ponyball,
if you were a pitcher.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
I was a pitcher, not a belly aitcher.
Speaker 3 (03:44):
You're a boss snatcher.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
I used to feel so confident if I got it
out of that first inning clean. If you give up
hits or runs in the first inning, you it shakes
you a little bit. You're like, oh, do I not
have it today? Can I tell you something I had
this thought? I think this supplies to everything in life.
I'm not just saying this. I had to start this weekend,
not only in football. I was watching Scott Hansen. What
is that guy doing pretty much the rest of the year, right,
(04:08):
He's preparing.
Speaker 1 (04:08):
For red zone? This is big weekend, right, and you
have to figure that the very first opening segment before
they kick right into it, there's some butterflies, and like
any job, any presentation, any big moment, once you get
into the swing of it, the role of it, those
initial butterflies are out. You're in the zone and you're
(04:30):
flowing and flying free the rest of the way. Yeah,
but you don't want to mess up that. You don't
want to mess up to begin. I really believe that
when they go to Troy Aikman and Joe Buck, when
they go to I'm Craig Davis, So what's that first
break is out of the way, they must feel great
about the rest of the game. Like if Jim Nansen
Tony Romo are like hello, friends, and they do the
(04:51):
little intro, you don't want to fly. Like if Tony Romo.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
Flubs the census, he's probably like, goddamn, it's in his
head the whole dome.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
He's probably like, what I had one intro. I as
a broadcaster or whatever you want to call me, a
broadcaster who also does a podcast. I think from that standpoint,
I'm like, look at you, Scott Hansen, you just rocked it.
Speaker 3 (05:10):
Let's go.
Speaker 1 (05:10):
The season has begun and you know, a few minutes
into it. Now you're just in your flow, of course,
But there are times Game one, you gotta feel good
about a big win and you set the tone. Yeah,
Buffalo Bills Maritime.
Speaker 2 (05:22):
There's time Niners where we start the show and I
feel like the first like twenty seconds is great, or like, oh,
like we both Yeah, Iowa Iowa Sam presses a wrong button,
You're like, ah.
Speaker 1 (05:34):
You set a bad tone. But guess what he in for?
Iowa Sam? Sexy? Ryan's today, Ryan, I.
Speaker 2 (05:41):
Think I think it's time for Ryan to cue us up,
because it's time for things that made you go.
Speaker 1 (05:46):
Let's get into it. Set the tone for us, Ryan,
things that make you go, things that make you go.
Now it's back. We do this every football season. It's tradition. Now.
Covino and Rich with Danny j Super producing on the
Phones eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox. Any observation
(06:07):
you made in the world of sports life, but especially
NFL football. Your takeaways from week one. Let's break it down.
There's no wrong phone calls, no wrong comments, no wrong answers.
It's just your observations. What you took away from the
first week. Let us know what you thought, because we
got some obvious and observations to get to. I have
(06:30):
a question to post again to start post the question ahead,
what was the bigger story this weekend? The Bill's comeback
which was like the game of the year the first
week of the season, the Bill's comeback or Karen Ballsnatcher
from the Phillies bigger story? Let me know because the answer,
unfortunately is Karen ball Snatcher. Well, that is the biggest
story that transcends sports all weekend long. Karen ball Snatcher
(06:53):
on hold, because we're gonna we're gonna break up the
football today. It makes me go hmm. With all the
great football, I don't know how she's still a headline.
Speaker 2 (07:01):
This morning, when I was looking up stories for the
Fox Sports Radio and our series XM Stuff, I was
stunned to see that Google News, Yahoo, TMZ the main
stories what's trending still that Philadelphia Phillies fan Karen ball Snatcher.
But We're gonna get to her, but I want to
stay to football right now. My first observation, Let's start
(07:23):
last night and then we'll work backwards. I think it's
safe to say after watching that Bill's Ravens game Insame game, Man,
I feel like both of those teams, it feels very
reminiscent of when Tom Brady and Peyton Manning would go
at it. It feels very reminiscent of when the forty
nine Ers and Cowboys. It's like, whoever won between those
two dominated that season in the nineties. There's a sense
(07:44):
that the Bills and Ravens I think are just a
step ahead of everyone else. Like Ravens fans, you can't
be upset today.
Speaker 1 (07:53):
I guess you can. Oh, yes, the reality is you
might go fifteen and two, you might go sixteen and one. Look,
last night felt like a movie, Danny g I believe
you even texted us that right at the same thought.
Speaker 3 (08:04):
In the fourth quarter, I texted you it.
Speaker 1 (08:06):
Felt like a movie, and how are movies written? Life
imitates art And this is the last season at that stadium.
The Bills have generation of fans just waiting to see
them win one. They're gonna win it all in their
last season at that stadium already. Well, okay, of those
two teams, right, yeah, they both seem unbeatable, and somehow
(08:31):
the Bills still beat the Ravens.
Speaker 2 (08:33):
Who's beating the Ravens. Who's beating the Bills? I had
the same based on the fact that we had the
same thought. And we're not the only ones. I'm sure
everyone is. We watched greatness. I'm sure everyone had a
similar thought. Maybe the Packers at times like pretty dominant yesterday.
But Dan Byer, I ask you, sports expert, I thought,
fantasy sports mister NFL, those two teams last night looked
like in a.
Speaker 1 (08:53):
League of their own.
Speaker 4 (08:54):
No, yes, yes, I would. I would say that they
seem to be at least the AFC. Yeah, Chargers with
the good win against the Chiefs. But for the sake
of brevity, I'll just answer your question and.
Speaker 1 (09:08):
Say, yes, thank you, thank you, Dan Byer.
Speaker 2 (09:11):
But okaye, obvious of brevity the IA Sam.
Speaker 1 (09:16):
Yeah, but based on last night, they both they seem unbeatable.
Based on last night.
Speaker 4 (09:20):
Really we got there the top of you know, the
top of the food chain in the AFC. I still
think that there are things that you take away from that, Like,
I mean, honestly, if the Bills played the Chiefs, are
you as confident that you can do that like you've
been doing to the Ravens. And I'll bring Rich in
for this portion. There was a point not so long
(09:43):
ago in the NFC West, and obviously the forty nine
ers won again in Seattle yesterday, but where it was
like the Seahawks couldn't beat the Rams, Rams couldn't beat
the Niners, and the Niners couldn't beat the Seahawks. Like
it was this this triangle, this weird Bermuda triangle, and
I feel there's a little bit of that. Not that
the Ravens have beaten the Chiefs lately, but it feels
for some reason like the Ravens can't beat the Bills
(10:05):
for whatever reason, but the Bills are having a difficult
time getting over that hump of the Chiefs a little now.
I don't know if they're apples to apples, but that's
a little bit what I feel like, Whereas like the
Ravens can almost seemingly do everything right and something's gonna fly.
Speaker 1 (10:19):
Dude, make fights, always says it, But I think of
that in all sports like baseball, for some reason. They
play tonight and it's a big matchup if you want
to turn to baseball just for a second.
Speaker 2 (10:27):
The Mets play the Phillies. I'll be the first to
say I think Phillies are a better team. But the
Mets have their numbers, seem to have their number. Yet
there's teams where like I feel like the Padres have
the Mets number, where I'm like the Mets way the
Padres in the playoffs.
Speaker 1 (10:40):
So yeah, no, you make a great point. We are
prisoners of the moment. But you're right the Bills will
have a difficult time with someone else whoever that is
because styles make fights.
Speaker 2 (10:49):
I'll agree that even if we are president of the moment.
When you watch Josh Allen do what he did, and
then another moment you saw Derrick Henry running like you
look like a high school player, it just.
Speaker 3 (10:58):
Runs over dominant.
Speaker 2 (11:00):
That fumble was so unfortunate, and that fumble really is
the difference. And I've seen people on social media and
there's a layer where it's like, could you have read
the room different? Like does Harbaugh and the Ravens say
even though it's fourth and three on that final drive,
Like clearly all the momentum was in one direction. Would
you have gone for it on fourth and three instead
(11:21):
of giving the Bills the ball back? Like you gopher
it you get that first down. Games over, but if
you don't, you're leaving them.
Speaker 3 (11:28):
Yeah, goal position.
Speaker 1 (11:29):
It's a very trick.
Speaker 4 (11:29):
Yeah, yeah, I wouldn't.
Speaker 3 (11:32):
Have gone for it.
Speaker 2 (11:33):
I know hindsight's twenty twenty, but there's a part of
you that's like, at that point, it's like, you get
a first down, it's over. Yes, if you think Derrick
Henry or Lamar Jackson could get you three yards, go
for it. Because giving the ball back to Josh Allen
just felt like there was something inevitable.
Speaker 1 (11:47):
Like and something I took away based on that game
because there's so many observations from so many great games.
So excited about Week one and of course Monday Night
Football tonight we'll get into But the best way to
win over new teammates is to come out and do
your job and do it well. And props to Matt
Prader in a high pressure situation, but that's what you're
(12:09):
paying for. The wisdom and the poison, the confidence have
been there, done that. The veteran guy to step in
that crazy moment like that, Danny G I believe you
texted us right as it was happening or right as
it ended, Like, can you imagine making this comeback and
then having it come down to that at home and
missing it? That would have been a nightmare.
Speaker 3 (12:27):
But no, did you see the slowed down replay of
where the hand just came within an inch of blocking
that ball.
Speaker 1 (12:34):
Which is so I guess poetic because that defined how
close that game was the entire time they were that
close to blocking that field goal. So Prader comes in
at forty one years old, he might as well been
eighty one the way he looked. He looked like he
was in a Fallout Boy cover band.
Speaker 2 (12:52):
He looked like forty year old guy with a twenty
year old guy haircut.
Speaker 1 (12:56):
So cool to come through in that moment.
Speaker 4 (12:58):
How many times during an NFL do we see a
completion that's short of the change and the clock continues
to run, and they run the kicker on the field
and he goes and kicks a field goal and makes
it like we don't pay any mind to that except
when there's eight seven six yep, Like.
Speaker 3 (13:14):
I'm seeing that.
Speaker 4 (13:15):
I'm like, do they realize they're gonna you know, they're
really gonna take this down to two seconds.
Speaker 5 (13:19):
It was.
Speaker 4 (13:20):
There was so much drama in that because of the
time they didn't have any timeouts, They couldn't call a timeout.
Ravens ro out oflairs, but the Ravens had two prior.
That was the great drama of it is. I felt
it was such a unique situation, but that happens all
the time in the NFL. It just happened to be
at the end of the game in what was one
of the greatest games we've seen in a while.
Speaker 1 (13:38):
And on that note, yeah, something that made me say hmm.
And again, it's week one, so we're going to see
issues with certain teams and some teams stand out, and
you know, still early, is my point. Notice a lot
of miskicks over the weekend seemed to be a major
pattern for the first week, Young Hoku being one of
the bigger stories of the weekend. Like, wow, that's unlikely,
(14:00):
but it happened. So your takeaways from Week one eight
seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven seven ninety
nine on Fox, Matt Matt Prater. Now, I don't want
to be the I'm not trying to be the Debbie
Downer because I love the story forty one years old.
Speaker 2 (14:14):
I always root for the forty year old guy. I'm
you know, we're one of them now. I like rooting
for the old guy.
Speaker 1 (14:18):
Big weekend for forty somethings Aaron Rodgers Prader. But there's
a part of me that feels like lock almost one
when they're with when they're at Philly Ball snatching Karen,
she's got to be ninety one, that lady.
Speaker 2 (14:32):
I did feel though at the end of the game,
and I'm not saying he didn't contribute, but having Josh
Allen and Matt Prader in the post game, I know
it's a nice story, but Josh Allen did it was
like a school project where he did ninety percent of
fIF And I know Prater did his job, and it's
a tough job. It's a high pressure job. But when
they were like Matt Praterer game ball, I get it.
One hundred hours ago, he wasn't even on the team,
(14:54):
but Josh Allen played his heart out and there's old
as Matt Praterer next to him, as if they equally contract.
Speaker 1 (14:59):
The name of the game. He did technically, but I'm
like the.
Speaker 3 (15:01):
Rich there were there were kickers who didn't even have
that much pressure. Coop was trying to tie the game
to the Falcon Moody on the forty nine Ers the
job today exactly because of it. Yeah, And and Buyer
made a great point that as that clock was winding down,
my wife was wringing her hands like what why why
aren't they kicking it?
Speaker 6 (15:19):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (15:19):
Why are they waiting? And I'm like, just they're trying
to run it out all the way and she's like,
oh my god. And that's how we all felt watching that.
That was a huge spot for him, regardless of show
you that, regardless of the kick of how long the kick.
Speaker 1 (15:31):
Yeah, but the greatness of Lamar Jackson too to make
sure that you don't want to give it back to
him with any chance whatsoever. So I have another takeaway
aside from the games, Rich, what was your thought on
the virtual measurement this weekend? The digital fourth down virtual measurement?
What are they calling it?
Speaker 2 (15:48):
By the way, well, they still have a referee spot
the ball, So I guess it's just cool with it, Like,
are you amazed by it?
Speaker 1 (15:54):
Do you think it's cool? Like any thoughts? I'm not Like.
Speaker 2 (15:58):
He started just rolling with the new change, luke warm
with that. I just feel like the chains are sort
of silly to begin with. They two Dabbroni's just pull
out chains and it's like, here's the Traine like something
that I don't know, I you were used to for
all these years. Is just sort of God with all
the technology. No one's really talking about. The technology just
makes sense. I think, uh, I think it makes sense.
Speaker 3 (16:16):
Right.
Speaker 1 (16:16):
You can't not point it out though, right, No more
chain gang, No more chain gang.
Speaker 2 (16:21):
You know, Matt Prater so old? Did you hear some
of the Buffalo Bills responding to Matt Prater just being
on the team.
Speaker 6 (16:29):
I'm not going to take a shot at his age,
but he watched into the specialties, man.
Speaker 7 (16:32):
And I'm like, oh, we got a new coach.
Speaker 1 (16:34):
And then I'm like, new coach Prader, Holy cow, this
guy's been like balling in the league.
Speaker 7 (16:38):
The first time I seen him, I was like that
a coach. And he comes out here, man, and he's
a great dude, comes out here, kissing game winning field goal.
He's special and I'm just happy to have here with us,
the oldest.
Speaker 3 (16:48):
Guy in the world.
Speaker 7 (16:48):
Any shoot, I'm thankful for him.
Speaker 3 (16:52):
Keep your old ass with the bills. Oh man, I'm
thankful for him. I'm glad that somebody could come in
on Thursday and help us big, because every piece matters.
And he came in, he understood the assignment. They got
the job done.
Speaker 1 (17:07):
He looked old next to those young guys, but came
in big, came through big for the bills. And you
know what it's like to make it relatable. These are
dudes in their young twenty somethings and they look at
this guy and they think he's a coach. He's forty
one years old. He might as well be again seventy one.
He's a young man on in life, but an old
(17:27):
man on the field. That's like you in your early
days of your career and guys in their forties you
thought they were way old. Yeah, so think about it.
You know, you look back and you're like, they weren't
that old. But when you were twenty something starting out
at the new place at the office, that guy in
his forties he was ancient to you. And now when
you're mad at how they feel, and of course when
(17:48):
you're twenty you feel like in your mind, your boss
who's probably forty something, feels old as hell. Now you're
forty and something and you feel like, oh, I'm a
young guy, and you're like, they don't think I'm a
young guy, right, They were not thinking he was a
young dude, and he doesn't look young. And props to
him through.
Speaker 2 (18:08):
Josh Allen one a night, Dan Byron. I'm not one
to rub it in because you and I Niner Seahawks.
We got our little battles, but I think Niners snuck by.
I think Moody stunk, but but I think, uh, they
got a miraculous catch. You guys should have won that
game based on the Niners misplaced Honest.
Speaker 4 (18:27):
The Seahawks did not deserve to win that game. They
could have made their plays.
Speaker 1 (18:30):
To be honest, they should both be owing one. I
just feel I'm happy to get the W.
Speaker 4 (18:33):
But I would say overall, and again, because we're doing
the Sunday Afternoon Show, I'm not locked into the game
as much as you are because we have three other
games going on. But we did watch the final sequence
and there were two or three plays that I thought
that the Seahawks could have made that including that last
up forced fumble by Nick Bosa or the back of
Abe Lucas. But I would say if you looked at
(18:54):
what San Francisco did throughout, they shot themselves in the foot.
I thought that they were the better team threw out
at the time that we were watching. And yeah, has
the people in Seattle scratching their heads today and wanting
a better performance than what they got.
Speaker 1 (19:07):
Well, the forty nine ers, I agree with. I heard
Colin talk about this that though he did throw two picks,
Party had some gutty moments in that game. And I
think Brock purty while the while the box score might say,
you know, touchdown, two interceptions and it didn't look great.
What is he two and two? Two touchdowns? Two interceptions?
Speaker 2 (19:26):
Yeah, Brock Party, there were times where he stepped up.
I do think he made one really ill advised interception.
Speaker 1 (19:32):
I think he played tough, he had to play some
football and then minus Kittle times Kittle out like they
were all banged up to the.
Speaker 4 (19:40):
Towng just touchdown catch should have been a battered ball
or an interception, so it could have been one or three. However,
I don't think throwing interceptions is as bad at times
when you see certain quarterbacks and to your point of
who Party is, he sometimes makes those throws. He has
the guts and it works out for him and sometimes
it doesn't. I don't think he has to have thirty
(20:01):
six and four like certain quarterbacks do.
Speaker 2 (20:07):
I think the other team that has nothing to be
ashamed of is the New York Jets. I know the
Jets left to Jet, but they lost on a sixty
yard Boswell field goal. They were battled a sixty yard
field goal. That was a battle, That was a game
played great. In fact, Aaron Rodgers had something to say
about his former team.
Speaker 1 (20:25):
Take a listen.
Speaker 6 (20:26):
You spoke about the meeting with Aaron Glenn I'm McAfee
a few months ago. Beating him is their significance in
that sense.
Speaker 1 (20:33):
He basically told you to your face.
Speaker 8 (20:35):
That he didn't think you were right for that team.
Speaker 6 (20:38):
Yes, that's what he did, So there are significance in
beating him for you.
Speaker 3 (20:42):
I was happy to beat everybody associated with the Jets.
I love that, I really do.
Speaker 1 (20:47):
I love that competitive spirit, and but they're supposed to say,
I mean, this is football, they're competing. I want to
beat every other radio show. I want to beat everyone
and anyone that ever employed me, and I want them
to all kiss my ass. That's how I feel as
a competitor. And now I'm not in the NFL. He's
in the NFL, so I feel I think that's great.
I think it's that's the kind of competitive spirit you want.
(21:10):
Props to him and his new helmet.
Speaker 2 (21:11):
To Rogers to try to keep any pace with some
of the powerhouses in the AFC. They needed that game sixty.
Our field goal is what did Mike tom Win say?
His kicker is a damn or something?
Speaker 3 (21:22):
Serial killer?
Speaker 2 (21:23):
Serial killer. That's a hell of a field goal. And
by the way, I don't know if you noticed that
that would have been good from seventy. It seemed the
uprights and some dude caught in the back of the
end zone, so like by the wall.
Speaker 1 (21:35):
So I think that Jets fans they saw some moments
where it's like, all right, this team might be decee.
That was a fun ass game. I wasn't expecting all that,
but it was great to watch. And now we go
to your takeaways. You know what they need to figure out?
Throw one more thing out there again. I can't be
the only one that is dealing with this annoyance. I
roll out.
Speaker 2 (21:53):
You know the second TV we got the multiple TVs
going on a Sunday. Remember how back of the day
on the old cable remote, you would have the back button.
Speaker 3 (22:02):
Look at you, fancy pants show up.
Speaker 2 (22:05):
You had the back button right, Like if you were
watching two things, you could go back and forth.
Speaker 3 (22:08):
Back button like the recall button.
Speaker 2 (22:09):
Yeah, if I'm watching the Jets Steelers on CBS, but
I'm watching all the other stuff on YouTube, there's no back,
Like if I want to go from one to the other,
I have to press home and go to a different app.
Speaker 1 (22:23):
But don't.
Speaker 3 (22:26):
Sorry, I want to strangle it.
Speaker 1 (22:28):
I can't be the only one that. Of course, the
whole thing's a pain in the ass.
Speaker 2 (22:32):
Like what I realized, because what I'm saying is there's
always local games, but the local games are never part
of the YouTube Sunday ticket.
Speaker 1 (22:39):
The best way to watch is a hassle in itself
because it's hard to figure out. I will say this
things that made you go hmm. We speculated on over
promised our bonus podcast, which is available now on our
YouTube page. Episode one oh seven Red Zone with the commercials.
Wasn't that big of a deal. A lot of people
were thinking, oh, this is a travesty. We have commercials
on Red Zone. You're commercial free for seven hours. They
(23:01):
did a split screen. It wasn't really that bad. I
didn't notice it to be a big deal at all.
Speaker 3 (23:05):
Danny G. Did you you know what I noticed watching
from YouTube for the NFL Sunday ticket just like right now,
how you guys could look at your live chat on
our YouTube channel for CNR. That was fun watching all
the comments and everything that was going on off to
the right of the actual game. So that's a new
twist for watching.
Speaker 2 (23:26):
For that when there is a commercial, like we said,
if it's like a pitching change in baseball, while the
announcers are talking, and all a sudden there like a
little Caesar's ad on the right of the.
Speaker 1 (23:34):
Screen, does that really bother you that? I wasn't that
big of a deal, trusive, but a lot of people
were expecting the worst. Okay. So those are some of
our observations Week one. Things that made you go, hm,
let's go to the phones now, Dustin and Illinois? What's
up in hey?
Speaker 3 (23:48):
Dustin?
Speaker 5 (23:49):
Hey?
Speaker 9 (23:50):
Just calling the Bills brave. It is the only game
I really got to walk in on great watch. But
the I have heard anybody really talking about the missed
extra point, so it would have been a tie game
at the end instead of going for the win. And
you know, did the Bills play for the tie in
overtime or they go for a touchdown there at the end.
So it was a great game, really great way to
(24:12):
camp off Sunday. So just one of your thoughts on
you know, which up maybe the Bills would have done
if that we're going for a tie instead of the win.
Speaker 2 (24:19):
You know, I always love those little what ifs, But
you're right, the little missed extra points changed the whole philosophy.
And you know, I think the Bills in that at home,
I think you go for the tie and go to overtime,
because then again, they missed so many two point conversions
along the way, so I wouldn't be so confident.
Speaker 1 (24:34):
It's like an unwritten role of down by fourteen, go
for the two points, Dan byer.
Speaker 4 (24:41):
The point, and I appreciate the caller because ultimately you say,
i'll missed extra point cost them. But there were a
couple of things that happened. Remember that the Bills at
one point in the game for some reason went for
two Yeah, like one characteristically right, it could have been
an eight point game. If you kicked the extra point,
they didn't get it, and then they were down nine,
So you're saying yourself, well, that's weird. Like it was
(25:04):
the start of the fourth quarter, so that was a curveball.
But the Ravens missed the extra point to make it
forty to twenty five. Then the Bills scored kicks the
extra point and were within eight. They then missed the
two point conversion, which made it the two point game.
So there were other things that were happening. It's like
butterfly effect, like yes, yes, So like granted you would
(25:25):
love to have made the extra point, things would have
been The game would have been different if you would
have made that extra point, no doubt, because it still
would have been a two score game at one point. However,
there were enough things that happened along the way that
I think that's not ultimately the reason they lost.
Speaker 3 (25:39):
That was a crazy game.
Speaker 2 (25:41):
I thought there was another missed extra point that that
was the Tampa Was it.
Speaker 4 (25:45):
The Browns and Bengals missed extra point? I missed field
goal for Cleveland would have really helped against Cincinnati. The
Buccaneers missed an extra point to make it twenty three twenty.
Speaker 2 (25:56):
Yeah, I guess it could have been when Baker scored
that last minute touchdown twenty.
Speaker 1 (26:00):
So who missed the field goal?
Speaker 2 (26:02):
But they shouldn't even have been in that position to
have a field goal tie it.
Speaker 1 (26:05):
So, yeah, that was so weak. How do you feel
about your boy Baker?
Speaker 2 (26:08):
That was That was a game that I had on
I had it on the four spleen, the four screen split,
but I don't know, South doesn't excite me really.
Speaker 1 (26:15):
It was a game, like you said, that shouldn't have
come down to the wire the way it did.
Speaker 2 (26:19):
Did you see that one still shot that's been flowing
around where it's Michael Pennock Junior and he looks like
he's five yards away from the end zone and it's
and he's being tripped up, but he's still found the
way to.
Speaker 1 (26:28):
Get into the end zone.
Speaker 6 (26:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (26:30):
The meme says it proves the length of penix matters.
Speaker 2 (26:35):
The length of your penix matters, the length of your phoenix.
Speaker 1 (26:39):
Phoenix got a Mitch in Jersey?
Speaker 3 (26:44):
What's up?
Speaker 1 (26:44):
Mitch?
Speaker 5 (26:45):
Hey?
Speaker 3 (26:45):
What's up? Mitch?
Speaker 6 (26:49):
Us?
Speaker 5 (26:49):
Taking care of business and speaking of USC Jackson dot
x USC.
Speaker 6 (26:54):
Guy the Giants him stars thought there, I mean Russell
Wilson's whole.
Speaker 2 (26:58):
Sam, are you he delayed the inevitable by keeping Russ
in there?
Speaker 1 (27:02):
I mean it's only week one.
Speaker 3 (27:03):
And he took some hits. He really did.
Speaker 1 (27:06):
I don't know if you could put that on him
being slow out of the pocket or the line just
not protecting him, but yeah, he want to He looked bad.
Speaker 2 (27:13):
Do you want to throw Jackson Dard in there? Against
the Cowboys? On week two? I saw Dable said they're
committed to Russell Wilson this week as of now, right, So.
Speaker 3 (27:21):
I remember I predicted a couple of weeks ago we'd
see Dart in week four or five.
Speaker 1 (27:25):
So I'm with Danny's prediction. I feel like that he
got a couple more of him sticking where Russ. Like
the forty nine Ers committed to Jake Moody, so Kyle
Shadahan said, we're not moving on from Moody. Meanwhile, this
guy stunk last year, missed a twenty seven yard chip
shot and had a field goal blocked. So it's you know,
sometimes the coach feels like they have to stick by
their guy. Well, props to Daniels and the Commanders twenty
(27:46):
one six over the Giants, but speaking of the Giants,
something that made me go, oh, I gotta throw this
out there. I don't think anyone's gonna say it. Danny
Dimes looking solid?
Speaker 3 (27:55):
Bro?
Speaker 1 (27:55):
Is that the real deal? I thought he looked great?
Or did the Colts just look that good or did
the Dolphins stink that bad?
Speaker 3 (28:04):
Or both both? I was gonna say, yeah, it can
both be true.
Speaker 1 (28:06):
Why not both? But Daniel Jones had a game. Is
this like a new a new start for him and
his reputation? I thought that stood out to me all right.
Back to the calls eight seven, seven ninety nine, one Fox,
who do we got? Let's say how to Doug and Maryland?
Speaker 6 (28:22):
Hey Doug, Hey, guys, they too real quick.
Speaker 5 (28:25):
I looked at the picture of Prader. He he doesn't
look forty one. You guys got to look at pictures
of them. George Blanda in seventy five.
Speaker 1 (28:35):
That's what that's the that's the one.
Speaker 2 (28:36):
Uh, that's the one they always put next to Brady.
And it looks like they're like generations. He's playing looks
like a Marlboro man playing for the Raiders. Yeah he does.
He looks so old. What's up, Doug?
Speaker 5 (28:46):
It was my Raiders winning in New England. I mean
that's the first time in like thirty seven or thirty
eight years we've won in New England because of the
you know, you know, you can't count the duck Rull game,
so if you go all the way back, it's like
thirty seven thirty eight year since we've won in New England.
Speaker 2 (29:02):
I felt happy for you, Danny, j my Mom, Sexy Ryan.
Everyone that I know is a Raiders fan.
Speaker 1 (29:07):
I loved how Geno Smith gave Pete Carroll the game
ball and how hype they were in the locker room
at the end of the game. Is I mean Gino
Smith who threw for three hundred and sixty.
Speaker 2 (29:17):
Two yards and one Danny he was twenty four to
thirty four through some big passes. I'll pad Danny g
on the back again because he's like, Yo, this team's
gonna throw for a lot of yards.
Speaker 3 (29:27):
Gent looked great.
Speaker 2 (29:28):
I'm surprised they didn't put up more points for all
the yard Is they just they didn't put enough points
on the board, but they won.
Speaker 3 (29:33):
Yeah, the O line is going to need to step
up a little bit more. I was proud of the
defense for the way they played and The biggest deal
for the Raiders was traveling to the East coast. Usually
that's almost an automatic l for an early game where
they have to travel all the way east. What happened, though,
is Pete Carroll not only has everybody prepared, but the
(29:54):
halftime adjustments were the big thing for me. It has
been a long time since the Raiders had a coat
or coaching staff that could make halftime adjustments like that.
Speaker 1 (30:03):
No doubt.
Speaker 2 (30:03):
All right, well, listen, we're gonna take the rest of
your feedback, but let's go to dB run a little late.
Let's get the update Dan, What's what's doing today?
Speaker 4 (30:09):
I agree with Danny, Drake may look like a different
quarterback and not in a good way in the second half.
I thought that the Raiders also flustered him defensively. Bills
fans had a lot to celebrate except one fan. Last night,
we all saw the highlight after the DeAndre Hopkins touchdown
of a Bills fan making contact with Hopkins, pushing him
in the helmet. Same thing with Lamar Jackson. Then we
saw Lamar retaliate with his own shove. That fan has
(30:31):
been banned from all NFL stadiums. He was ejected last
night now not allowed to be at any NFL stadiums.
Speaker 1 (30:37):
Exactly, anything about finding Lamar Jackson or.
Speaker 10 (30:40):
No, nothing on that man, good keep your hands off
to players, Like how entitled in and off are you
to think you could touch these guys in an aggresive way?
Speaker 2 (30:50):
I was gonna say, thank god, because also instinctively, Lamar
Jackson should be able to be like whoa, I'll push
someone back instinctively, that's just taking over. And do you
mind if I cueue up the tyrect play of the daegas?
My goodness, Just when you thought Sam Darnold might spoil
my afternoon, Nick Bosta did this and totally redeemed us.
Speaker 11 (31:12):
Now to forty five seconds and it's second down and
five at the forty nine ers nine again, shotgun again,
Darnald looks Donald, the ball came out and Bolsa falls
on It was that a pass or isn't a fumble?
Speaker 3 (31:23):
Might have been an empty hand?
Speaker 1 (31:25):
That's how ruling is football? Oh, set time? What didn't
we say?
Speaker 3 (31:30):
Bosa time?
Speaker 1 (31:32):
Holy smokes? And Rich was doing the worm in his
living room most of time. In excitement, Rich was doing
his special dance. As courtesy of KNBR Niners Radio network

with convenient installation options like mobile tire installation tirec dot com.
A tire buying should be Now back to the phone calls.
Things that made you go hm hm week one of
the NFL's Dave, Yeah, Cincinnati, what's up, Dave?
Speaker 6 (32:10):
And it was going on with Fellas what a buddy.
Speaker 2 (32:12):
I feel like you, if you're a Bengals fan, should
be happy because you usually lose heartbreakers in the beginning
and you won a game you didn't really play that well.
Speaker 6 (32:19):
And so.
Speaker 3 (32:20):
Happy.
Speaker 6 (32:21):
That's my concerns though, right, I mean, because I feel
like the Bengals didn't win that game, that Cleveland lost
it because of the pat and the midi goal. Now,
but on top of that, it didn't really help in
the beginning of the game when a referee seemed like
they were just having some bad calls here and there.
But you know, that's that's besides the point. But just
I mean the fact that we did get that w
(32:43):
we still started off slow. Now, granted, we do play
Cleveland like this every game, it seems like there are
nemesis that we can't get past them. But the way
Baltimore and Pittsburgh played yesterday, I have more concerns with
even getting a wild card spot.
Speaker 1 (32:59):
Yeah, you're the Vision's gonna be tough. You played the
Jags this week, which I think is a telling game.
You're three and a half point favorites, the game's at
home for Cincinnati. So but he's not wrong. I know
that was a concerning win. If anything. You know what's
better than a way closer than I thought it was
gonna be. You know what's better? No, it's worse than
a concerning win. A loss. Yeah, you got the win,
you got a dub but it does show you like, man,
(33:19):
are we I'm sorry? Should I should?
Speaker 2 (33:21):
I quote Fred Warner dub City. It was dumb city,
but it was dumb city.
Speaker 1 (33:26):
Can you really compete with some of these other teams
that we saw this weekend after that performance? There is
a lot of season to go. But let's go to
Idaho and Joe, what's up? Joe?
Speaker 3 (33:34):
Hey, Joe, I think it's.
Speaker 12 (33:37):
Just a small thing from that Raven's Bills game probably
wouldn't have mattered, but I feel like Carbod definitely watched
that last time out. If he waits till there's ten
eleven seconds, Bills have no timeout. They can't even take
that knee, or if they try to, they got a
jog a forty one year old Matt Prager out there
in one of those fired droll field goals and at
least make it a little bit tough for him. But
(33:58):
that's all I got.
Speaker 2 (33:59):
Yeah, you know, listen and that game we're gonna it's
you know, we're gonna look back, you know, in a
couple of months, it's gonna be like a memory, Like
remember Week one.
Speaker 1 (34:08):
Football, NFL moves fast, these two teams. I wouldn't be
shocked if that your AFC Championship game.
Speaker 2 (34:14):
In fact, I almost would be shocked if it wasn't right.
Who else would the Chargers Kansas City? Like, who else
is in the mix that could play at that level?
Oh man, at that level?
Speaker 1 (34:25):
I mean, it's still too early to say, but based
on that, I don't think anybody. I got something un
football related, non football related. The fact that the VMAs
are still a thing that made me say, hmmm, like
that was last night. Guys. We're so caught up in
Bill's ravens, like VMAs Video Music Awards. There's things that
(34:45):
used to mean a lot that don't anymore.
Speaker 2 (34:47):
Being on the cover of Rolling Stone, Late Night TV,
Saturday Night Live, like, there were things that were so awesome,
Saturday Morning cartoons, Saturday Morning cartoons. There were things that
were like such a big part of culture. The Video
Music Awards used to be big deal hit pop. Last
night it happened, and who even knew. If I didn't
scroll through it on TMZ just be like, oh it
was on last night, I wouldn't even have known.
Speaker 3 (35:08):
So that made me say.
Speaker 1 (35:09):
The fact that they chose yesterday for the award show
made me say, I'm like, you mean the kickoff for NFL.
Speaker 3 (35:15):
Yeah, what are we doing? All right?
Speaker 1 (35:17):
So we got the rest of your phone calls Next
eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox things that made
you go, And we're giving away prizes next time, prizes
m dorin.
Speaker 2 (35:24):
We're not gonna let We're not gonna let Karen Bollsnatcher
off the hook. Oh yeah, we got to talk about
that some MLB as well more CNR next.
Speaker 3 (35:35):
Winning by the way, he had a weekend. Huh, Charlie Sheen,
you can watch.
Speaker 1 (35:39):
That documentary on Wednesday. That'll be a nice.
Speaker 2 (35:41):
Little breakup from all the football actions Wednesday when you
got nothing doing.
Speaker 3 (35:44):
Yeah, you know who was winning?
Speaker 1 (35:46):
The Bills, the Packers, the Niners, Steelers Calls, Danny g
and Big Sexy, Ryan's Raiders, Covino and Rich winning broadcasting
live from the Fox Sports Radio studios. Every wanted to
try an Olympic and Paralympic sport. By the way, don't
tell me what to do. Try fencing. Yeah, try fencing there,
Buster Brown, check it out. Yeah, fast, safe.
Speaker 2 (36:06):
And easy to start. I see where you're going. Find
the beginner class near you. Uh USA Fencing dot org
slash try fencing that USA Fencing dot org slash try
fencing and uh Danny. As we go over the things
that made you go home, I know you're away invested
in the AFC West. We saw the Chiefs lose Chargers
(36:27):
of Telega. Justin Herbert with his hot new girlfriend Madison Beer.
Must be inspired, bro, They're out on the town.
Speaker 3 (36:33):
Look at hot. That's why he was sliding like a
superhero at the end of that game.
Speaker 2 (36:37):
Right, Who's had a better week than justin Herbert, So
Chiefs are owing one, which makes my out on a limb.
Speaker 1 (36:44):
Chiefs missed the postseason look like.
Speaker 3 (36:47):
Taking up except how many times now Covino have the
Chiefs started slow and half the media is like, that's
it for them, dynasties over, bye bye Chiefs and then
they come storming back the second.
Speaker 1 (36:58):
Halfening the last show time of homes. When he gets here,
you know if they're worrying.
Speaker 2 (37:03):
So he said, the Raiders win yesterday, a sloppy win,
but still a win for the Broncos. I feel like
that was a I want to say, boring game, but
I had that on the second TV because there were
fewer late games. Were the Tennessee Titans and cam Ward
looking half decent or did the Broncos just have a
like a weekend?
Speaker 1 (37:22):
That was one of the weaker games.
Speaker 3 (37:23):
I thought, yeah, yeah, Nick struggled. There was a head
scratch at the end of that game too, because they
could have sealed the win with a field goal and
instead they went for it on fourth down and threw
that long pass and a lot of people were screaming
that that was fixed for gambling reasons. Hard to make
what the Denver Broncos are right.
Speaker 5 (37:43):
Now.
Speaker 3 (37:43):
Are the Titans a decent team or did the Broncos
just have an off day?
Speaker 1 (37:47):
Yeah, the Broncos shut down. It was the Titans not
scoring in the fourth quarter.
Speaker 3 (37:51):
Yeah. Their defense, the Broncos defense in the third and
fourth quarter definitely showed up.
Speaker 1 (37:55):
Yeah, they let up three points. I think in the
second half.
Speaker 3 (38:00):
What's up?
Speaker 4 (38:00):
Dan Sean Payton made some decisions that would have blown
your mind. They went for it on a fourth down
at the forty six yard of their own forty six
yard line, up eight in the middle of the fourth quarter,
maybe five minutes left to go, and I know that
they have a rookie quarterback on the other side of things.
But then he doubled down and they went for it
(38:21):
on a fourth down where he threw a deep past
like just threw like a It wasn't a hail Mary.
But they were just interesting decisions. It was almost like
they were daring the Titans to try to beat them.
They only had an eight point leader, was only a
one score game. I don't know what Denver was doing.
Playing with their food is what they were doing.
Speaker 1 (38:39):
Cam Ward only twelve for twenty eight hundred and twelve yards,
they just hung around, and I remember, like, like I said,
the Lake games, I was locked in on my Niners,
but I had the other TV on. I was like, Oh,
the Packers' Lions. That was a blowout.
Speaker 3 (38:53):
Cam Ward's passes were on point on his final drive
to try to go down the field. They would have
needed eight to tie, but Ridley dropped a pass right
that was right in his hands. There were a couple
of drops there at the end where Camores were rocket
balls too. Yeah, he was trying to, you know, the needle.
Speaker 2 (39:09):
I feel like, I just want to try to cover
every game, even if it gets one little shout out.
Speaker 1 (39:13):
I don't want to leave anyone's team out.
Speaker 2 (39:15):
But a game that was to me, the score alone
makes you feel like, was it that exciting? The Rams
fourteen Houston Texans nine. That game was in my peripheral high.
I wasn't even caring much. Was there anything you saw
on to that one dB or no?
Speaker 1 (39:29):
Just all the Rams had a big interception at the end, right,
big turnover at the end, And yeah, it was fourteen
to nine. It was a close game. I was watching
some of it. I was watching it on red Zone.
Speaker 4 (39:40):
The Texans concerns that you had coming into the season.
Showed themselves yesterday again couldn't get into the end zone.
You just mentioned that kicking the field goals as well,
But they had an opportunity kind of like the Seahawks late,
but Dario Goombalwalle the ball knocked out of his hands
as they were driving for a possible go ahead score.
(40:00):
And then on a third and nine you put the
ball in Stafford's hands and hits pookin Akua and that's
the end of it. But I mean, I think the
Texans are going to be okay. Their questions were with
the offense last year, with the offensive line, and I
don't think that those questions have been answered this Oh.
Speaker 1 (40:15):
I got one other game. The big highlight was him
getting stitched up in the middle of the game and
coming back.
Speaker 2 (40:21):
Do you see him all beating all over the place?
I thought another game that again wasn't that exciting. But
the Cardinals slipping by the Saints twenty to thirteen. Did
you see yo at the end?
Speaker 1 (40:31):
Rattler had he threw a dime and Buddha Baker punches
it out as as the receiver's falling in the end
zone in that final Like few seconds of the game,
so would have been a cool moment for the Saints.
But again, that's a game where I'm like, are the
Cardinals decent? Are the Saints not that bad? That was
like a game where again I learned nothing, I felt.
Speaker 3 (40:49):
You know, A quick question for all of you new faces,
new places. Did you see any players where you're like, oh, yeah,
that's where they're that's the city they're in now, Like
I saw Coop Cup playing for Dan's Seahawks, and he
looks strange in that uniform.
Speaker 2 (41:04):
Oh when last night when the announcers kept being like,
welcome to Buffalo, Joey Moosa, he's wearing number ninety seven,
you know, and he would.
Speaker 4 (41:12):
Recognize Cooper Cup because he was on the wrong side
of the chains, so this time he was short.
Speaker 3 (41:16):
When he was at the Rams, he always got that
extra yard.
Speaker 1 (41:18):
That's a funny question, Danny. He's like, who did look
the weirdest? Like, oh, yeah, the big Oh yeah, look
at him. I'm trying to think who that was for
me yesterday.
Speaker 2 (41:26):
I mean, we've seen we've seen Sam Darnold in a
ton of uniforms at this point, but yesterday, I'm like, oh,
there is look at him for the Seahawks and then.
Speaker 3 (41:33):
Tonight, what are we going to see tonight?
Speaker 1 (41:35):
Anything? I'm just wondering if crazy tonight, we're gonna wrap
it up with your phone calls. Things that made you go, hmm,
we're one week into it, Monday Night football tonight. Rich
will give you his take, his picks tonight. But something again,
non football related. I know we're focusing on the NFL,
but we kind of forgot what happened? Was it Friday night?
Because we're so caught up in football and it was
(41:57):
so great to have it back. But Yamamoto being so
close to a no hitter and then to lose that game.
But the fact that Jackson holiday teed off with two
outs to break up the no hitter up old stuff.
Because that's the thing, right, we.
Speaker 3 (42:11):
Talk about the Yankees cheating scandal time.
Speaker 1 (42:13):
I know they're tipping pitches. That's a big story too. Now,
Danny G's right, but with all the football excitement, BET's
canceled you kind of yeah, but you kind of lose
that story and you're like, yo, that was so wild man.
That made me go because how do you have a
no hitter going into the last inning, right, and then
you lose that game. The Orioles, or even put the
(42:35):
Orioles are a losing team. Honestly, some people may have
missed it because you're out and about. You're out and
about Friday night, you're chilling, you're getting your weekend started,
you're excited about football or whatever. The Dodgers had a
no hitter with two outs in the ninth and they
let up a home yam a Mote let up a
home run to Jackson. Holiday props to Holiday, but then
(42:55):
you lose the game. That's like the worst part of this.
Speaker 2 (42:58):
I think you could only second guess the managers and
one more than any other sport. Well maybe they have
football tis every sport, really, let's be honest, But like,
you don't give Yamamoto one more batter to just try
to finish off the game, Like.
Speaker 3 (43:10):
You're talking about Dave Roberts, who questionably is the worst
manager to have in a situation like that when he's
throwing a no hitter.
Speaker 1 (43:19):
Oh, like, really, just.
Speaker 2 (43:21):
Give him one more let let's let Yamamoto get a
chance at the complete game, which is rare.
Speaker 1 (43:25):
Now, one more batter would have killed you. I only
bring that up, Danny g not to rub it in
because personally, I would have liked to have seen Yamamoto
do it right. I feel like the Dodgers needed something
and it would have been cool if he got some
shine in that moment. Living in Sho Hayes's shadows.
Speaker 2 (43:39):
Well, that was un simultaneously with the Chiefs Chargers. So
Danny calls from friends like you'll turn on the Dodgers.
Speaker 3 (43:45):
Yeah, both football and baseball group chats were going Karen
ball Snatcher.
Speaker 1 (43:50):
I'm serious, between Karen ball Snatchers, the biggest story in
sports between all the NFL. Like that story almost got
lost in the mix. And to me that was like,
oh my god, two outs. That's the worst because you're
rooting for that at that point outside looking at and
you're rooting for the no hitter. So that happened made
me say hmm. Over the weekend, I did question Dave Roberts'
(44:12):
decision making there. You know what, let's sake one more
NFL call from Greg in Vegas. Then I do have
one quick baseball thing and I do we have to
talk about that was interesting? Let's go to Greg.
Speaker 3 (44:24):
What's up?
Speaker 1 (44:24):
Greg?
Speaker 3 (44:24):
Hey?
Speaker 8 (44:25):
Greg, Hey, gentlemen, thanks for having me on my moment
for this weekend was watching everybody throw dirt on Aaron
Rodgers and then him come out looking picking vintage Do
you think that might be something to look forward to
for the remainder of the season or was that a
one and done game?
Speaker 2 (44:42):
Bro, I'm not I am by I'm the last person
on any sports network to ever be the I told
you so guy, because I think that's lamee broadcasting.
Speaker 1 (44:51):
I really do, but especially you don't like the people
that do that. Yeah, I'm not.
Speaker 2 (44:55):
Told you so, but I've never relented on the fact
that Aaron Rodgers. I don't think he's done. I just
think that I think he's got something left. I think
he's still got to go.
Speaker 3 (45:05):
You've been saying Richie's gonna have a comeback for three
straight seasons, so you're gonna be right eventually going to
stick with.
Speaker 1 (45:09):
It until he finally retired. That's an interesting game because
I don't know how to assess either team or the
Jets that good because they looked explosive.
Speaker 2 (45:16):
So I think the Jet fans should have something to
look forward to. They lost on a sixty year field goal,
and I think Aaron Rodgers vintage four tuddies. I mean
how can you argue that he had a good game.
So I think the NFL has so many great storylines.
Speaker 1 (45:28):
By the way, hold on, there was luck involved in
some of these wins that we talked about. Maybe a
missed field goal the forty nine ers, the catch that
DK Metcalf had that was come on, that was absolute luck.
If that didn't happen, they wouldn't have been set up
in that situation.
Speaker 2 (45:43):
I think that for the forty nine Ers, I think
if I'm Dan Bayer, he said it right. The forty
nine Ers had they controlled the clock, they controlled everything.
They played better yesterday. But the Seahawks should have stole
that game because the Niners couldn't capitalize, and that that
throw by Purty, like you said, it was a second
touchdown game winner could very well and should have been
a batted down pass or a pick in the end zone.
Speaker 4 (46:06):
I think it's funny that the warts that the forty
nine Ers fans maybe were used to and the warts
that Seahawks fans were used to both were present in
yesterday's game. So neither team comes away with it feeling
good because those warts are still there. Even if one
team won the game, which was your team, so I
think the things that maybe you're concerned about, we were
prevalent and that's what bothers you. But they were the
(46:28):
better team throughout the A.
Speaker 3 (46:29):
I think the.
Speaker 1 (46:30):
Niners will be okay.
Speaker 2 (46:31):
The big concern Jennings and they just got Kendrick Bourne,
and I'm hoping for like a Tyreek kill and a
trade down the line or something. But the big concern
right now would be Kittle because if they were very
quick to rule him out like he's out for the game,
I worry that that hamstring is like a four week thing,
like I don't know if they have a report yet, Dan,
but as of now, I'd be very concerned how that
MRI turns out, because if you lose.
Speaker 1 (46:53):
Kit, you feel about McCaffrey, though, seem to be solid
after all that thirty one touches. I mean, for a
guy that thirty.
Speaker 2 (46:59):
One touches and that offense runs off of him, I
really feel as long as McCaffrey's healthy, the Niners could
sort of play with anyone. I'm not saying, but thereby
means a contender right now, they could play with anyone
McCaffrey's not in that lineup.
Speaker 1 (47:11):
I think that team stinks. Now this might be a
discussion in itself, and we'll still take your phone calls.
Speaker 3 (47:16):
Things that made you go.
Speaker 2 (47:18):
Robert Salad did have that defense looking fired up though.
Speaker 1 (47:22):
I love the return of Robert sala But Stefan Diggs
is also in the news and it's about starting fresh
and starting new Rich. I know you found this to
be quite interesting. It's about his relationship with the media
and how to handle it as a professional.
Speaker 2 (47:37):
Yeah, I think that there's such a thing about such
a thing fresh starts. Sometimes it's it's hard to be like, hey, listen,
we've had our ups and downs. Let's start fresh. And
Stefan Diggs addressed the media yesterday. Here is a little
snippet of it.
Speaker 7 (47:52):
Obviously, I haven't talked much in camp. Appreciate your patience.
I just trying to take this time to be focused,
get my mind right, to get my body right. But
I do kind of want to address some things as
far as like that happened throughout camp. Obviously, I'll look
at the media as a whole, and I kind of
want to push this thing as professional as possible. So
Phil and Tom, if I don't want to, I don't
(48:14):
want to mistakenly say the wrong names.
Speaker 3 (48:17):
But my words.
Speaker 7 (48:18):
I have some some conversations and I have some interviews
throughout camp, and some of my words are misconstrued to
you know, kind of taking out of context. And I
think I was referred to as.
Speaker 3 (48:27):
A pain in the ass.
Speaker 7 (48:28):
Obviously, I don't want to come across as that. I
want to be very clear. I'm an adult. I apologize.
I'm not up here to ego trip. I'm not up
here to, you know, rub anybody the wrong way or
say anything for a clickbait. We'll affward. I kind of
want to get things off on the right foot. We're
gonna spend a lot of time together, and I kind
of want to give obviously a good interview if I'm
asked questions. You know, hopefully this relationship can grow and
(48:52):
we build on something special. You know, sears to be
a long season. So we're gonna spend a lot of
time together.
Speaker 2 (48:56):
They're gonna spend a lot of time together, and him
addressing the local Patriot It's media and the national NFL
media saying, hey, listen, if anything I've done has been
misconstrued and I've come across with a pain in the ass,
let's I don't want that to be Let's start freshman,
we can start new Hey, we got we got eighteen
weeks of football and hopefully the playoffs to be together.
And I think, how do you argue that mature approach
(49:17):
by Stefan Diggs was in the past?
Speaker 1 (49:19):
I don't, but you know that I think that's exactly
what it is. I think it sounds like a guy
who's in his eleventh year in the league. Sure, it
sounds like a guy who's matured. He's thirty one years old.
He's not one of these kids anymore. So he doesn't
necessarily even have to play by their rules either. So
if he came across like a pain in the ass,
he's just addressing it. Sorry, I'm not a perfect dude.
(49:41):
I'm gonna do my best and let's let's make it
work from here on in. I think he handled it perfectly.
Speaker 2 (49:45):
I think he was insinuating that when he's in camp,
he's not the most successible because he's in his own
and he's like, if that, if that make that made
me appear to be an a hole, not the case.
I'm not a pain in the ass. I'm not a jerk.
But hey, listen, we have a whole season together. Let's
do good things. I want to get He even went on
to say, I want to give good answers in interviews.
Speaker 1 (50:03):
I don't want to give you the BS answers.
Speaker 2 (50:04):
So I think you saw some maturity there from a
he said, thirty one year old Steffan dig So.
Speaker 1 (50:09):
I thought that was something that made me go hmmmmm.
This past weekend, I think that I think you nailed it.
Speaker 3 (50:15):
Man.
Speaker 2 (50:15):
We went over a lot and I hate to say this.
You know, Big Mike's Panthers, they still look like they're struggling.
Either that or maybe this is the year Trevor Lawrence
and that team atn looked like he had some good
bursts like that. There's a I'm so confused if the
Panthers could ever really get good. Bryce Young looked like
(50:37):
he was at year three now and it doesn't look
like things have really gotten much better. Dan, Is there
any anything you're seeing out of Bryce Young?
Speaker 4 (50:45):
And they were dealing with the weather delay yesterday, But
that's a tough game because Jacksonville's not in that different
of a situation. Even though Trevor Lawrence has a few
more years on Bryce Young, you're kind of hoping, all right,
what's going to happen? Liam Collen makes his debut. Yeah,
that was a tough one. I expected a little bit
more from the Panthers considering how they finished last year.
Speaker 2 (51:04):
Well, yeah, we talked about how like that division sort
of wide open because no one's that dominant, and hey,
for all you know, the crazy story would be like
the Panthers compete, but after yesterday they just look like flat.
Speaker 3 (51:13):
I would say that was a good tone setter for.
Speaker 1 (51:17):
But Trevor Lawrence needed a game to start off that
way and get on the right foot. A lot of
pressure on him, even a lot of talk about how
his stats have declined and if he doesn't turn it
around this year, at what point do you consider him.
I don't want to say a bust, but he's got
to step up this year being that he's falling off
the past few. So a nice win for them, and
(51:39):
we're gonna play a game. Speaking of football, we have
Showtime Mahomes Trivia next your chance to win some prizes
and we're gonna get you ready for Monday Night football tonight.
Speaker 2 (51:49):
Now something I want to get to also coming up,
while we get a contestant for Showtime Mahomes trivia Karen
Bollsnatcher eight seven.
Speaker 1 (51:58):
What do we ate the niner in there?
Speaker 5 (51:59):
Was?
Speaker 3 (52:00):
Yeah? Five?
Speaker 1 (52:01):
Is there a niner in there?
Speaker 3 (52:03):
An? Iou for a NERF football.
Speaker 2 (52:05):
That's seed that their football prize is a good one.
I want to just touch on baseball, and we're gonna
talk about Karen ball Snatcher for a second. But when
you look at the National League, Danny g my Met
fan friends are constantly.
Speaker 1 (52:17):
Well, the Met's gonna blow. This is someone going to
catch up to them because the Giants are playing hot baseball.
Though they did lose two in a row.
Speaker 2 (52:24):
The Giants and the Dodgers play seven games against each
other over the final nineteen. Can you, as a Dodgers fan,
assure me hot baseball? Can you assure me that your
Dodgers won't let the Giants catch up to my Mets?
Speaker 3 (52:38):
Can you assure me that absolutely not.
Speaker 2 (52:40):
So you think the Giants Dodgers are sliding, but they
played Dodgers.
Speaker 3 (52:45):
They have been so inconsistent this season.
Speaker 2 (52:48):
I said to my buddies, I go the Giants are.
Dodgers are three and seven in their last ten. The
Giants are four behind the Mets for that wildcard and
I said, the Giants still have to play the Dodgers
seven games. Oh my, I live in La guys, these
my East Coast riends. I said, I did Dodgers best
case scenario. The Giants win four out of seven. The
Giants they can't.
Speaker 1 (53:09):
They can't.
Speaker 3 (53:09):
Dodgers have a losing record since the All Star Break.
Speaker 2 (53:12):
Oh my god, that's wild. And the Padres one game behind.
It's wild because if if all these teams play five
hundred the fire all the way through, nothing changes, like,
well one of these teams Cavino ruin the party and
go get real hot or what.
Speaker 3 (53:28):
Man, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (53:29):
I think I do think the Giants are a team
to watch out for. I'm worried for your Dodgers, Danny G.
I mean, not like to the point where I'm losing sleep,
but they look terrible. Rich's Mets are sliding big time.
The NL is just up for grabs, but especially the
NL East and especially the NL West. And if you
look at the AL East, it's just as bad.
Speaker 3 (53:49):
Dude. The Yankees and the Blue Jays are so close.
Speaker 2 (53:51):
Well, you look at the Red you're looking at the
blue Jays are only two games better than the Yankees,
the Blue Jays, and the Tigers are only two games
better than the Yankees, and the Yanks played terrible for
a month of the year. The best team in the
American League, best team is going to win what ninety
three games, maybe ninety four games. And don't sleep on
the Mariners in the West, because the Astros really aren't
(54:15):
that great and the Mariners only two and a half
games behind. If they could just get hot, if they
could find some pitching, they got the bats ye to go.
But do you realize that Seattle's only one and a
half games up on that third final wildcard, So the
Mariners can find themselves. The Mariners can find themselves out
if they don't step up. I just want to remind people,
while we're all hyped up about football and how great
(54:36):
the NFL season has felt, one week in.
Speaker 1 (54:38):
Wild card is definitely looking on the fact that on your.
Speaker 2 (54:41):
Off days when you're not watching football, the fact that
you're down to the final under twenty games in the
Major League Baseball season and wild cards are upper grabs.
Every division seems within reach. Yeah, the third one is
the only division that seems locked up is Detroit and
the Brewers. Besides that, and then Philadelphia has beat the Mets,
but half the divisions are for and all the Wildcards
(55:01):
are in disarray.
Speaker 1 (55:07):
All right, welcome back to the CNR experience the world

(55:52):
the injury updates on Kittle and Juan Jennings for the Niners.
And I know we've talked about not every facility has
MRI machines. They got to do it the next day.
But when you're a fan waiting to see the extent
of a player injury and you're refreshing, refreshing, refreshing.
Speaker 3 (56:07):
How frustrating is Usually you're just schedule watch it.
Speaker 2 (56:10):
In schedule watching. Today I'm injury watching. But uh, are
we ready to play this?
Speaker 1 (56:15):
Or what game? Time?
Speaker 3 (56:17):
Let's go, Let's.
Speaker 1 (56:17):

everybody to love me, not just the reps. It's time

Speaker 4 (57:51):
Well, we were at Texas last week, so I'm sorry,
lone star state. We're not gonna go there, but we're
going to keep it in the South. We're going to Mississippi.
Guys going to the city.
Speaker 3 (58:00):
WHOA, that's Christy the old man. Hey Christy, how are
you great? How are you good? What do you do
for a living there in Jackson?
Speaker 5 (58:10):
I am a retail manager.
Speaker 1 (58:13):
To the show. Hey, mama, all right, here you're married.
Speaker 3 (58:16):
Patrick. Here are the rules for showtime mahomes nfl T.
The first contestant with two correct answers is the champ.
If there's a tie, we have a tie breaker question.
Your name is your buzzer, but you do have to
wait until all three possible answers are read. If there's
two wrong answers in a row, we move on to
the next question. Are you ready?
Speaker 1 (58:31):

But which Super Bowl was the first to broadcast in
high definition? Hey? Super Bowl thirty three, Broncos Falcons B
Super Bowl thirty four Rams, Titans or C Super Bowl
thirty five Ravens Giants. Christy, Christy.
Speaker 3 (59:05):
B yes, wow, so bam board like that.
Speaker 1 (59:11):
I was drunk in college. I don't know what it
looked like.
Speaker 3 (59:13):
Seven high death in Super Bowl thirty four. All right,
we move on to round two. Christy halfway to a
see in our prize.
Speaker 1 (59:21):
All right, I'm busy, but I'm here. Patrick Mahomes was
I once quoted saying about believing. Don't stop don't stop believing. Hey,
I don't believe in our team's excellence until I see
it on the field. B always believe in greatness unless
you're the only team in the division to lose. Thanks, uh,
(59:45):
or I believe in save the best for last. See
believe in yourself and all that you are.
Speaker 3 (59:53):
Dan, Oh Buyer got in there. I heard Dan. I'm
gonna say see.
Speaker 1 (59:59):
Yes, I've always said it, leave yourself and all that
you are. Something my dad told me. I always say it.
Got that. Christy, remember it and believe it. Leave yourself
and all that you are. Everybody, what's you God doing.
Dad's great, Family's great. Thanks for asking.
Speaker 3 (01:00:15):
Your dad said, believe in my story. All right, we're
going to go to round three now. Christy and d
beat both on the board.
Speaker 1 (01:00:21):
All right, this is like Bill's Ravens last night. Is
a close one. All right, Okay, I hate these things
more than I and T's who has the record for
most sacks in the game. Hey, Bruce Smith beat Derek
Thomas or c Khalil Mack Christy.
Speaker 3 (01:00:40):
Oh, Christy for the win. Hey no, Rich, Rich for
the steal. B Yes, sir, you didn't sound confident, but
it is B.
Speaker 1 (01:00:50):
Derek Thomas seven against Buyer Seahawks in nineteen ninety when
you were rocking your mushroom haircut.
Speaker 4 (01:00:57):
Just for the record, Patrick Mahomes, that was the game
where Dave Craig eluded Derek Thomas for the eighth sack
and threw a touchdown to Paul Scancy at the end
of the game to win a game at Arrowhead. In
this in the sunshine on a Sunday afternoon on the
old artificial turf, there.
Speaker 1 (01:01:14):
Was still a seven sacks here, but there.
Speaker 3 (01:01:19):
Wasn't an eighth, Patrick, there wasn't an eighth. All right,
three way tie, Christy, dB and Rich as we go
to round four?
Speaker 1 (01:01:26):
All right, round four, Patrick Mahomes. What former Packers O.
Lineman later took the Bengals to the Super Bowl as
their head coach A Paul Brown, B. Bruce Coslet or
see Forrest Gregg. What former Packers O Liman later took
the Bengals to the Super Bowl?
Speaker 3 (01:01:45):
All Right, Christy C is correcting? You walk away winning?
Speaker 1 (01:01:51):
Wow? The Bensteen Niners beat the Bengals twenty six, twenty one.
Speaker 3 (01:01:59):
Congratulations, Christy. We are gonna mail a ceeing our nerve
football out you there in Jackson, Mississippi, as soon as
the order of balls arrive. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:02:07):
Oh, unless Karen snatches it, unless, of course, Karen the
ball snatcher gets to him first.
Speaker 3 (01:02:12):
Yes, I just.
Speaker 1 (01:02:13):
Want to warn you that's always a possibility. And hey, guys,
look out for me week two. Chiefs baby usual suspects.
We're gonna be at the top. We're at the bottom
right now. That's okay, Yeah, all.
Speaker 3 (01:02:24):
Right, Later dog, yeah, last last place, and he still
holds his head high.
Speaker 1 (01:02:30):
Later, big dog, slitter, guys, big dog.
Speaker 2 (01:02:32):
By the way, we had big Dog to the list
of a couple of weeks ago when we talked about
names you hate being called by other men.
Speaker 3 (01:02:37):
I hate big Dog.
Speaker 1 (01:02:38):
Big Dog.
Speaker 3 (01:02:39):
By the way.
Speaker 1 (01:02:39):
It's great to see Patrick all positive and hyped up
even though they're in last place. Yeah, so hey, props
to Christy to that was great. Yo.
Speaker 2 (01:02:48):
I'm not trying to get down on Patrick and his Chiefs,
even though they did ruin my forty nine Ers Super
Bowl dreams two times in the last five years.
Speaker 1 (01:02:55):
Patrick showed some magic in week one. Yeah no, but
I'm saying some Patrick Mahomes style plays.
Speaker 2 (01:03:00):
I'm just saying, playing against the Chiefs, playing against the
Eagles week two and then week three, who did the
Chiefs play.
Speaker 1 (01:03:08):
Let's think, I just want to schedule. Watch for a second.
Speaker 3 (01:03:10):
I got you. They got Eagles.
Speaker 1 (01:03:11):
Now, now they play the Giants side that should be
that should be a win.
Speaker 2 (01:03:13):
But they could very well start and then that would
be one and two, and then week four the Chiefs play.
Speaker 1 (01:03:19):
The Baltimore Ravens, oh snap yo at Kansas City.
Speaker 2 (01:03:23):
There is a chance that after four weeks Patrick's one
and three.
Speaker 3 (01:03:29):
I don't know, man, We'll see.
Speaker 1 (01:03:31):
I'm just saying, like dB pointed out before, sometimes, you know,
as good as the Bills were, sometimes they have trouble
with the Chiefs. Yeah, it doesn't matter Ravens. It's not
going to be walking to park for them. We'll see
what happens.
Speaker 2 (01:03:44):
Well, I want to talk a little baseball, but first
let's go to Dan Buyer for an update. Maybe we'll
talk about Karen ball Snatcher for a second.
Speaker 1 (01:03:50):
What's up, dB?
Speaker 3 (01:03:51):
Well, what's up fellas? Tonight?
Speaker 4 (01:03:53):
Bears vikings from Chicago. Week one wraps up, but the
Bears are going to be a bit shorthanded. There's gonna
be no oh. Jalen Johnson, the cornerback's not going to
play because of calf and groin injuries. Bears also making
some news in another fashion. In an open letter to
fans to start the season, Bears president Kevin Warren says
the team is focusing on building a new stadium outside
(01:04:14):
of the city of Chicago and continue focus on building
the new indoor facility in Arlington Heights, Illinois, where they
purchased three hundred and twenty six acres in twenty twenty three.
Speaker 3 (01:04:23):
The hope is for Super.
Speaker 4 (01:04:24):
Bowls Final fours other development around the stadium, but Warrent
saying today that they are now moving to focus on
the Arlington Heights project and nothing within the city of Chicago.
Speaker 3 (01:04:36):
Giants said.
Speaker 4 (01:04:36):
Coach Brian Dables said this about his starting quarterback for
Week two.
Speaker 3 (01:04:40):
Do you intend to start Russell Wilson this week? Yes,
it's a tough game.
Speaker 11 (01:04:44):
Again, like I said yesterday, that game wasn't just doesn't
fall on Russell Wilson.
Speaker 7 (01:04:48):
You had to do a better job collectively coaching, playing,
but Russell be the start.
Speaker 4 (01:04:53):
Giants have the Cowboys in Week two, Jackson Dart will
remain the backup to Russell Wilson, Patrick Mahomes target Xavier
Worthy considered day to day with his shoulder injury that
he suffered against the Chargers on Friday. That's according to
the head coach Andy Reid. Right now, the team is
choosing rest and rehab over surgery for Worthy.
Speaker 1 (01:05:12):
Rich Yes, who had a better ball snatch over the weekend?
Karen or your boy Jake Tongs. It's a good question.
I think Karen ball snatcher.
Speaker 2 (01:05:22):
And you know what I thought about when Dan Buyer
broke the news that Brock perties a little banged up
and Serdy Perty's you know, week two status is questionable.
Mac Jones had a hell of a preseason and people
are talking about mac Jones is a Really if you
had to have a backup play against the Saints, Mac
Jones is no slouch.
Speaker 1 (01:05:39):
I think the Niners have a steal with Matt Jones. Yeah,
and it's a It's a great opportunity for him and
a great team to play against.
Speaker 3 (01:05:45):
I think I think you'll have a good game with him.
How about Hopkins one handed? That was awesome?
Speaker 2 (01:05:51):
That was definitely a was it a stab, a snag
or a it was it was a snag but y.
But but to wrap up the Karen thing, the memes
right control, I just posted one that was hilarious. It
was it's a book. I'm like, I'm gonna read this
to my kids tonight. The Berenstain Bears meet a Karen.
Like the videos and clips went nuts with this story,
I guess because everybody wants to see a Karen put
(01:06:13):
in their place. Here's the thing, women haircut when she
chooses that haircut, but then it poses another question. Do
karens choose the haircut or does the haircut choose the Karen.
I don't know, but here's the thing.
Speaker 1 (01:06:27):
And I got a credit KFC from barstool, but I
was thinking the same thing. So I'll say, hey, I
thought this. We all hate a Karen, right yeah, And
we could all hate on her in that moment, like
what is she doing?
Speaker 3 (01:06:42):
What is that about?
Speaker 1 (01:06:43):
She's the worst. But then when web sleuth's try to
find out who she is and we want to cancel
her and get her fired and essentially ruin her life,
that's terrible. You're no better than a Karen. So it's
like you're being what you sort of are supposed to
hate at that.
Speaker 3 (01:06:57):
Moment over the weekend, they the wrong lady? Yeah on Facebook, Yeah,
she's like probably.
Speaker 1 (01:07:04):
So she's like, I just have a terrible haircut.
Speaker 3 (01:07:06):
It's not me.
Speaker 1 (01:07:07):
I mean just sorry, I'll change my hair. So we
need to.
Speaker 3 (01:07:10):
Be better than Karen's.
Speaker 1 (01:07:11):
And yes, we could all collectively hate her and laugh
and point your finger and like, don't be but when
you try to ruin her life, like when are we satisfied?
Speaker 2 (01:07:18):
When she jumps off a bridge, I said to Cavino,
it sounds terrible. I go, but what if this woman
that killed herself? Like, let's we got to take it
east a little bit, right, But man, the reality is
the embarrassment for a weekend is enough. Let this woman
live her life now. She's been humiliated enough. Now, as
far as tonight goes, we have a Monday night football
game and Danny, you hit me up with the memes,
So it's got to be true. But I believe it
(01:07:38):
because he is from Illinois. The McCarthy family is coming
out to play tonight. JJ McCarthy's dad said that he
has around two hundred to two hundred and fifty friends
and family. What that will be in attendance for his
son's first ever NFL game near his hometown Monday night.
Speaker 3 (01:07:55):
No pressure.
Speaker 2 (01:07:56):
You talk about a kid, the Tromme Illinois Chicago kid
makes his date you for the Vikings tonight in front
of not only Soldier Field, who's gonna be booing him,
hoping that Kayleb Williams could show some stuff. JJ McCarthy's
gonna have hundreds of think about it. It's like a wedding.
It is two hundred and fifty people, a couple hundred
people that love you and care about you in the
stands watching so and one person will bring a toaster
(01:08:18):
and one person will be wearing overalls.
Speaker 1 (01:08:20):
Because there's always like mutant family members that show up
with a.
Speaker 3 (01:08:22):
Straw hat on.
Speaker 1 (01:08:22):
What do you call them again?
Speaker 3 (01:08:23):
The other the others.
Speaker 1 (01:08:24):
Every family has like the others and they come out
of the woodwork. You know who the others are?
Speaker 2 (01:08:28):
The others? Every family has them. It's the person that
the family members you're embarrassed by. Yeah, it appears that
they don't know how to dress for a wedding. The others,
they are the ones that you don't really talk about
when you talk about family.
Speaker 1 (01:08:37):
You're gonna see JJ McCarthy's like weird family members that
come out.
Speaker 2 (01:08:41):
Like, yeah, we're here for JJ, Like great Uncle Hank
from who's like Decater, Illinois, who comes there like, oh,
uncle Bartlet's gonna be like, oh, here for JJ.
Speaker 3 (01:08:50):
He's my great nephew.
Speaker 1 (01:08:51):
So enjoy that you got the Bears Minnesota at the
Bears tonight. Any good picks for tonight, Rich, I simply
just like I like the Vikings money line. I think
it's so hard to pick, but I'm just really going
to roll off the momentum of McCarthy and we forget
that other than Sam Donald laying an egg in the playoffs,
and remember remember that team was thirteen to four.
Speaker 2 (01:09:12):
We forget the Vikings were really good, really good, and
JJ McCarthy is who.
Speaker 1 (01:09:16):
They mortgage their future on.
Speaker 3 (01:09:17):
Right.
Speaker 1 (01:09:17):
They want this guy. They feel like he's the dude
They were on Donald, So to be that high on
Donald and then move on to McCarthy.
Speaker 2 (01:09:25):
Yeah, coaching is great. The team, you know, is projected
to be pretty decent. I just think that JJ McCarthy
shows you something tonight. I'm not saying Kayle Williams is
trash tonight. I just think that in a close game.
It's like a point spread difference. It's a I think
you just go money line.
Speaker 1 (01:09:41):
And what's the over under on adult toys in the WNBA?
Oh no, this is not WNBA.
Speaker 3 (01:09:46):
How is that?
Speaker 1 (01:09:46):
This is the NFL.
Speaker 3 (01:09:48):
It started in the w NBA. Now it's moved onto
the NFL.
Speaker 2 (01:09:51):
Oh wow, yeah, yeah, we spent a good ten minute
trying to figure out how to say that on the air.
Speaker 1 (01:09:54):
Adult toys is a good old Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:09:56):
Well, there's a money line bet and different props you
can make. Let's go over this tomorrow.
Speaker 1 (01:10:01):
Save this right. Marital aid by the way, a marital aid. Yes, yes,
we will talk about marital aids and adult toys in
sports tomorrow and more trivia, more prizes. But yeah, let's
all watch the game and enjoy, and we'll discuss Maniana
and let's go Mets beat to Phillies. We'll see you
a riva dereci baby, see you in the Promised Land. Goodbye, guys,
