Speaker 3 (01:14):
What's up, Dicky Doodle Davis?
Speaker 1 (01:16):
I was. I was texting Dan Bayer last night, the
great Dan Buyer about the no I'm you know, I
always wanted to be a rich guy.
Speaker 3 (01:25):
Why you key CN?
Speaker 1 (01:27):
But I can't be the only one that thought those
Seahawks uniforms were on five like those are sweet?
Speaker 3 (01:32):
Like the little glimmer, the little shimmer.
Speaker 1 (01:34):
I like that.
Speaker 4 (01:35):
I mean, who does it like a little holiday glimmer
and shimmer?
Speaker 3 (01:37):
Dudeah, it was nice, you know what?
Speaker 2 (01:38):
Even I had a text Dan Byer, and you know,
I'm a grumpy guy that doesn't want to bother anybody,
and I don't want to be bothered.
Speaker 3 (01:44):
Even I I.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
Didn't FaceTime I'm like you did, Rich, but I did
shoot him a text to be like, yo, nice win.
That was an exciting game, bro, that.
Speaker 3 (01:52):
Was really great.
Speaker 5 (01:53):
I will say this about the helmets. Don't you think
that they found a new shade of green that we've
never seen before?
Speaker 6 (01:59):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (01:59):
Like, it was just like is it evergreen? Is it
regular green? What is that green? But it worked?
Speaker 3 (02:04):
It's magical green. I h holiday magic.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
I thought everything about that game was amazing from the
comeback because there was a time where when they turned
the ball over in the red zone again DV, you
were like, all right, this A and R night And
then you're like, wait up, hold up. When they hit
that first two point conversion, not the controversial one, the
first one, I was.
Speaker 4 (02:23):
Like, Okay, now they're down by eight, that's doable.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
Because you missed that, you're down by ten and it's
a different ballgame, and you know, everything about that game
was insane.
Speaker 4 (02:32):
I loved it. Dan Byer had to love it even more.
Speaker 1 (02:35):
But uh, Covino, You're right, what a what a what
an opportunity for Sam Darnold step up, and he finally did,
right after a couple of misses.
Speaker 2 (02:42):
Dude, insane game, lots of fun to watch, the poise
of this guy.
Speaker 3 (02:48):
Honestly, I was nervous.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
I was.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
That was one of those games where you stand up
and you stand in front of the TV and you're like,
all right, is he gonna pull this two point conversion off?
Speaker 3 (02:56):
And he did, but not without controversy. And we're gonna
get to that.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
But Dan, you made me think of something else too,
And this is silly, but I want to point this
out I've always loved the stories about Michael Jackson. In fact,
Jimmy Jam shared some about how particular Michael Jackson was
about his music and the sounds and being creative and
how he dwelled on certain words and sounds and things
with the songs. You could hear it on Over Promised,
(03:20):
our bonus podcast, we talked sports and music with Jimmy
Jam superstar producer. Michael Jackson. The artist was obsessed with
creating sounds that people.
Speaker 3 (03:31):
Never heard before.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
He wanted to incorporate sounds that were brand new to
our ears. And I really do believe that color was
a brand new color to our eyes. I don't know
what that was. That Seahawks color last night was something
I don't think we've ever seen before.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
What was it? But you think they invented a color?
Speaker 2 (03:48):
Yes, I think they invented a color last night because
I've never seen it before.
Speaker 3 (03:51):
So props to them.
Speaker 1 (03:52):
Man.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
I'm not one to really harp on the look and
the colors like you, but Dan Buyer has to get
a new helmet for his collection. And I've never I've
seen that color before, not on the road, not on
a car, not on a helmet.
Speaker 3 (04:04):
It was pretty dope.
Speaker 1 (04:05):
It was.
Speaker 5 (04:06):
And by the way, even some of the other uniforms
we've seen, we've kind of been hit and miss and
rich I know, we haven't seen your Niners, and we'll
see their rivalry uniforms in week eighteen. But this is
one that I thought landed Like the Bills when they
wore those, it was okay. I wasn't as big of
a fan of the Patriots. I think you guys liked
the Patriots. One did like the Patriots.
Speaker 1 (04:27):
I thought that was a cooler, cooler vibe like Frost right,
the Patriots.
Speaker 5 (04:30):
Right, yeah, yeah, But I felt that this one was
more of something that was more universally accepted or appreciated
by the football community as opposed to the other ones
that we have seen this year.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
And dB side note, if people don't know, Dan Byer
collects all the helmets, like many helmets of all the games,
in all the new renditions and versions of these helmets,
does the wife eventually say all right enough with the helmets.
Speaker 5 (04:53):
No, And that's why I married her. In fact, I
have them displayed. I've sent you guys pictures and she
she thinks it looks really good on the wall. It's
not what if you run out of wall space event
like there are a bunch that are in tots. You
just have to do it with discretion. It also, we've
talked about this with you know, we had Benny and
Studio and Emma earlier this week. I think it was
(05:15):
this week when they were talking about all the teams.
That's how I've taught my son the teams. He knows
the helmets, so I think she's all for that as well.
So it's just the when I have different Seahawks ones,
he knows the logos or a different Bills one. When
we were in Buffalo, I picked up the Rivalry helmet
and so he knew that it was Bills, but he
knew it wasn't the normal Bills. So that helps that way.
Speaker 2 (05:35):
And you know, it's cool that look that helmet. It's
all synonymous with a really great win. So I did
text Dan Byron last night.
Speaker 3 (05:43):
Rich.
Speaker 2 (05:43):
I think all of our buddies were texting each other, like, Yo, dude,
you watching this. My brother texted me this game is
fire friends I haven't heard from in a long time. Dude,
you watching this game? Hit up Dan Byer, congrats it
to win. He goes man that two point conversion. They
didn't get was overturned. I feel I feel kind of
guilty about it. Is that a normal feeling? You're just
(06:05):
happy that you won. Should you feel any sort of
guilt if you're a Seahawks fan? Or is that the
right call and you won? And that's sick? I think
most people would take it that way. But like, when
does that happen?
Speaker 5 (06:16):
When does the whistle blow and the ball is there
and your guy just happens to pick it up and
it ends up tying the game?
Speaker 1 (06:22):
Dude? Call it? Call it? You know, sometimes a little
luck is part of the equation. And it was a
backwards pass happened to just float near the end zone,
picked it up, two point conversion.
Speaker 4 (06:33):
I stand by.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
I don't think anyone would really debate it. I heard
Mike Harmon and Jason Smith lest I happened to be
where was? I was driving around somewhere? Oh? And I
heard I heard them saying that somewhere?
Speaker 3 (06:46):
Where'd you go out for a late night massage? Where
were you?
Speaker 7 (06:49):
No?
Speaker 1 (06:49):
Actually, you know what, believe it, I played softball like
ten o'clock last night.
Speaker 3 (06:52):
You forgot no.
Speaker 1 (06:54):
I was like, why was I driving around late at night,
and they were saying that it's not hit, it's not
in the spirit of the game. And I'm like, yeah,
but what's the spirit of the game. Like I I
get it, it wasn't intended, but by the rules, backwards
pass deflection, end zone picked up two point conversion.
Speaker 4 (07:11):
You can't twist the rules because it's not in the
spirit of the game.
Speaker 2 (07:13):
They got it right, and we want to know your
thoughts on the game. And I do want to ask this.
It's an obvious question, but is Sam Darnold elite And
we just don't want to give them that credit because
of his path. Everybody has a different path. Everyone has
a different journey, right, I'll give you an example, Rich.
Everybody starts out somewhere. I started off in radio as
(07:34):
a van driver. That's sort of your come up, right,
You drive the van, you work in promotions, you hang
up banners, you give out stickers, and the.
Speaker 4 (07:41):
Irony of that is that you're the worst driver.
Speaker 1 (07:43):
We know.
Speaker 2 (07:44):
Oh yeah, but you got to get your foot in
the door, right, And my way was to work in promotions,
radio promotions.
Speaker 3 (07:50):
On the street team Kate Rock New York.
Speaker 2 (07:54):
No matter what I did, ever, people still pointed at
me like, yeah, that guy used to be on the
street team. So I don't think I really ever got
the credit I deserved as I came up and hey
look at me now Fox Sports Radio nationwide, the world
famous Cavino and Rich show. Right, But to some people
still the van driver. You think, because Sam Donald had
(08:15):
this journey, had this path, he's not getting the credit
he deserves because we still remember him as a Jet
and how he bounced around everything else. Because this dude
is playing like on another level, I think, on a
big stage. That was a big game last night, only
it's a I think it's.
Speaker 1 (08:30):
A moderate level of rspc T.
Speaker 3 (08:33):
I think he gets just starting to get it.
Speaker 1 (08:35):
Well, you know, why can you not, because you know,
if you're a diehard football fan, you remember him in
college as well, and you're like, oh, Sam Donald did
come with a lot of hype, And then I think
there is something to be said. We're seeing more and
more people understand that, hey, the Jets could really just
ruin a guy.
Speaker 3 (08:52):
Yeah you know that's part of it.
Speaker 2 (08:53):
But I think that like, yeah, he still has that
or had that stank on him a little bit that
you know, he was on that team, he was part
of that misery.
Speaker 1 (09:02):
You know, dB will back me up on this, I'm sure,
and if not, then screw him. But no, damn sure.
Danill backed me up in that. When he played for Minnesota,
you could be like, well, you know, he's playing under
like a quarterback whisperer, and like it was the right circumstance.
Now that they're in first place and have a path
to the one seat and he's on yet another team,
you have to start saying Sam Darnold might not be
e lite, he's.
Speaker 4 (09:22):
Not Josh Allen Mahomes top tier.
Speaker 3 (09:25):
You're still hesitant to say the guy's done it for.
Speaker 1 (09:27):
Two teams that tier.
Speaker 2 (09:29):
I don't want to throw out fake stats. But I
was talking to Mike, who runs his place.
Speaker 1 (09:33):
What do Zach I know?
Speaker 3 (09:34):
Well, he didn't know completely, So yeah, I give you that.
He said that.
Speaker 2 (09:39):
Colin Cowherd said in his last thirty nine game, he's
like thirty and nine or.
Speaker 1 (09:42):
Something like that. He's got a great record.
Speaker 3 (09:44):
Yeah, yeah, something like that.
Speaker 2 (09:46):
So I think we do need to put some respect
down his name a little more.
Speaker 4 (09:50):
I mean, I don't know if he wins.
Speaker 1 (09:51):
I don't know if wins and losses are how you
can really determine success because then you could say a
guy like Jimmy Garoppolo's like top tier as well, because
Jimmy g is a niner and you know you're true it.
Speaker 2 (10:01):
That's how you do it. And he did it with
two different teams. But Donald is twenty six and six. Well,
Mike was wrong. Rich was right.
Speaker 1 (10:09):
Number twenty six and six is damn good, dude.
Speaker 5 (10:12):
Well it's better than thirty and nine.
Speaker 3 (10:15):
Yeah, but.
Speaker 2 (10:18):
You got to keep him in that conversation of dudes
that really turned it around and how a different setting
could really change everything for you.
Speaker 3 (10:24):
So props to him.
Speaker 5 (10:27):
The funny thing with Donald is this, and this is
why I side with Rich is the interceptions have always
been there. It's now you just got to deal with it.
Like I listen, I got married later in life. I
lived a life as a single person for a long time.
So did my wife.
Speaker 4 (10:45):
Not everyone likes helmets, Dan, So they are.
Speaker 5 (10:50):
Just things that and it's not a matter of like
my wife does a lot of interceptions, but that's who
they are.
Speaker 3 (10:57):
That's that's who Sam Donald is.
Speaker 5 (10:59):
Right, not gonna get the overtime Sam Donald that you
got if he's not throwing those interceptions, and I've said
to you guys before, I.
Speaker 3 (11:06):
Think it's it's it.
Speaker 5 (11:08):
It is something that could derail the Seahawks season, like
a Sam Donald interception. He leads the NFL in turnovers.
He does with interceptions and fumbles combined. Sam Donald leads
the NFL. But for what they're paying him and what
he did last night, the Seahawks think that it was
worth it. And you just hope if you're a Seahawks
fan like me, that you can get more of the overtime,
(11:29):
second half or fourth quarter Sam Donald than maybe you
did in the earlier game.
Speaker 1 (11:34):
And Dan, that's a great point in relationships with players
on a team.
Speaker 4 (11:38):
You like coworkers.
Speaker 1 (11:41):
Someone could be great, but there's always something where you're like, well,
if they didn't do this, like if my wife wasn't
so damn messy, or you know, like I saw I
was saying, you know, like Kvina I was saying last night.
Too many times Sam Donald put them in a bad
position because he took a sack when it's like, dude,
just get rid of the ball away, do something, and
then all of a sudden you got a second and
(12:02):
sixteen or something, and it's like get rid of the ball,
and there were a couple of funny plays. I want
to just point out last night, and I'm sure you
Danny g Danbayer, everyone remembers. It was like a third
and sixteen. The crowd immediately started booing when they ran
the ball, but then it was a run for seventeen
yards and a first down to just Kenneth Water. Yeah,
(12:24):
Kenneth Walker bust open for seventeen on a third and
sixteen drup play, and the crowd went from booing to cheering.
I think without even taking the breath.
Speaker 3 (12:33):
You're exactly right.
Speaker 2 (12:34):
You know what's wild about talking to your buddies while
the game is on is your friends may have some
action on the game. I'm pretty sure my brother had
some money on the game last night. And I'm talking like, yo, dude,
you watching his game, but I'm watching ahead of him,
like I don't know.
Speaker 3 (12:48):
Like his TV, his cable or whatever.
Speaker 2 (12:51):
He's watching on his Prime I guess is behind mine.
So I'm like, oh, so when that seventeen yard run
was happening, he's like, what's going on?
Speaker 1 (13:00):
You wait?
Speaker 3 (13:01):
Did they score? Because he's behind me. So anyway, I was.
Speaker 2 (13:05):
Watching while talking to my brother and texting everybody it
was a great Thursday night football game and rich and
you know, congrats to your forty nine ers, like you said,
they control their destiny.
Speaker 1 (13:15):
Yeah, it's it's interesting. We're gonna go over that stuff
later as we get into week sixteen. Now, the two
point conversion at the end, and I'm I don't blame you,
and I'm not throwing you into the bus, but Cavino
and a bunch of my buddies were hit me up.
Speaker 4 (13:29):
Like should they have gone for two at first?
Speaker 2 (13:33):
And maybe they said it on the broadcast, but again
I was talking to people in texting and I'm just watching.
Speaker 3 (13:38):
I didn't hear what they said. I'm like, man, this
is a bold move.
Speaker 1 (13:42):
But you know what they did point it out. I'm
sure al Michael's and Herbstreet pointed out. But even going
into the game, if you follow the NFC West like
I do as a Niners fan, you knew that if
the game ended in a tie, ay, it did the
forty nine Ers no favors, and b it did the
Seahawks no face because if it was a tie, then
(14:02):
the head to head between the Seahawks and the Rams
is Rams are one to Ozho to one and the
Seahawks would be oh one and one. So if the
Seahawks let that game end at a tie, it's almost
the same as the loss, because unless they win the division,
they're a wildcard. Right, So you go for the win
on the two point conversion in overtime because if you
miss it, you're in the same position you are, playoff
(14:26):
seating wise for the most part, right, I mean, a
tie is sort of like an L there, So it's ballsy,
but not really because it's it's it's like going for
the win or not. It's because a tie in that
case is sort of like an L.
Speaker 5 (14:38):
Yeah, and the other there are a couple of things
that you're one hundred percent right. And there were three
minutes still left on the clock in overtime, but you
know that the Rams would have worked the clock, so
the Seahawks weren't going to touch the ball again, So
that's the decision. What's also interesting is because of all
the multiple two point conversions that the Seahawks had earlier
in the game to get back in it, maybe the
(15:00):
one that they had here in overtime wasn't their best
play because they had already used a couple that they
felt were better plays.
Speaker 1 (15:06):
They already used their patented backwards pass off the defender's
helmet by the goal line.
Speaker 3 (15:11):
It you know that picked up after the whislom they
already used.
Speaker 4 (15:15):
That trick one and dB.
Speaker 1 (15:16):
Interestingly enough, I'm sure you did the same as a
Seahawks fan. You looked ahead and said, well, if there
is a tie, well, there are a couple games left,
and then you see that the Rams play the Falcons
and the Cardinals and those are likely to wins. So
if you want to win the division and you're the
Seattle Seahawks, there's no doubt you go for that overtime
two point convert.
Speaker 3 (15:35):
They're going to make the playoffs. There are ninety nine
percent chance.
Speaker 5 (15:38):
Regardless early of the outcome last night, so they're very
likely in so you have to go. If you would
have went for a tie, that takes winning out of
it and only brings the other stuff into the equation.
Here's my quick question now that we've seen it this season,
and it goes back to the Super Bowl with the
Riches Niners against the Chiefs and the kicking or taking
the ball at what point, now, if you have the
(16:00):
football first, do you go for two. So the Rams
score and kick the extra point. Right with the only
the ten minute quarters, we're seeing like there's not a
lot of time to go in and maybe not every
team would would go for two, but the Rams were
at a disadvantage because they scored first and then just
kick the extra point. At what point do you say,
(16:21):
you know what, maybe it's just worth us going for
two in this scenario and making it an eight point
game and hoping we just stop the team on four
downs or stop at two point play then just kicking
the extra point. Because it was quite an advantage for
the Seahawks to be able to know that they could
go for two and win the game. Yeah, you know
what I mean, Like to go first. It would be
very risky to say, well, we're only taking a six
(16:42):
point lead, but if teams are going to do what
Seattle did, maybe it's not as much of a.
Speaker 8 (16:46):
Risk as we would think. Or dB, can we just
go to fifteen minute overtime?
Speaker 3 (16:50):
Yeah, that would help too.
Speaker 2 (16:52):
Yeah, but then rich would Thursday night ten o'clock softball,
you know, all right, like several times now where it's
a possession, a long possession, seven to seven, and then
the team that scores second has to go for the
two point conversion because there's not enough time left on
the clock.
Speaker 3 (17:09):
So the ten minute thing is not working out in
my opinion.
Speaker 1 (17:12):
Yeah, and I know you guys are well, I know
you guys are dining. Note four for five with two doubles.
Just good.
Speaker 2 (17:17):
No, nobody, nobody cared about that. Yeah, no one, No
one cared about that's.
Speaker 3 (17:20):
Because the left fielder was sleeping.
Speaker 2 (17:22):
Yeah, and he was eighty five years old. Yeah. But
a few other observations last night's game, like the back
and forth with Nicoua and Cooper Cup. That one catch
into fourth quarter that Cooper Cup made insane, But that
friendly back and forth and that competition was so cool
to see. And did anyone notice, Yeah, I mentioned you know,
(17:45):
I'm standing up watching to see if they get this.
They panned the camera over to Stafford and Nicoua and
some people on the sidelines and they're like paling around,
laughing and smiling. Meanwhile, I'm like, yo, dude, how were
they not like obviously they're in the moment and they
can't lose. No, no, no, that's really my point. It's
really crazy to see how loose and how much fun
(18:06):
they really are having because I was kind of nervous
watching I think in a moment playing slap pass on
the sideline, they're thinking, we're doing everything we can, and
the Kua had two hundred plus receiving yards a Stafford.
Stafford sort of solidified the MVP, if he asked me,
even though they lost, they.
Speaker 3 (18:22):
Put on a show.
Speaker 1 (18:23):
They're thinking, you know, we're doing everything we can. Let's
play loose, let's keep it fun.
Speaker 3 (18:27):
It just was a wild as you like to say.
Speaker 6 (18:29):
Juxtaposition or contrast.
Speaker 2 (18:31):
Yeah, you know, to know how nervous and in the
zone we were watching it, and they were there just
like having fun on the sideline, like smiling and laughing.
Speaker 3 (18:40):
I couldn't believe Stafford was that loose.
Speaker 1 (18:42):
You see when the Stafford got hit hard once they
panted Jimmy g and he's on the sideline, it looks
like he's looks like he's modeling for NFL shop, Like.
Speaker 2 (18:49):
Yeah, stop being so handsome, dude. All right, So your thoughts.
There's a lot of people chiming in where they have
thoughts on the game. Last night eight seven, seven ninety
nine on Fox felt like, uh.
Speaker 3 (19:01):
Like I can't say Game of the year. You're right,
I don't want to be the boy, right.
Speaker 1 (19:05):
Tell me aboutter game?
Speaker 3 (19:05):
Then you know, I don't know. I haven't written down
right here.
Speaker 2 (19:09):
I thought you were gonna make fun of me for
saying that, because I'm always the guy that's like, dude,
that was the fight of the year.
Speaker 1 (19:13):
You're the boy. You're the boy that cries fight of
the year. You're not the boy that cries game of
the year.
Speaker 3 (19:17):
I didn't want to be prisoner of the moment, but
hell of a game last night.
Speaker 8 (19:20):
Can we agree it was the best fourth quarter in
overtime of the season.
Speaker 1 (19:24):
Well you know why, Danny, I think when you talk
about best games, and like you said, best quarters, I
think you know what's at stake is also a big
part of that.
Speaker 4 (19:31):
And this was for the one seed in the NFC.
So if you're gonna.
Speaker 1 (19:35):
Say game of the year, well the hell yet, because
I think you saw the one seed fall into the
lap of the Seahawks after they were ballsy and went
for that two point conversion. And I think looking forward,
and I'm not just saying this because I'm a Niners fan.
For the good of football, for the good of the viewer,
for the good of the game. If the Niners they
should beat Indianapolis with old Man rivers on Monday night,
(19:58):
they should if they then go on to beat the
Bears in the Bay in San Francisco, that Week eighteen
matchup Seahawks Niners would be for the one seed. The
winner gets a buy and home field, and the loser
is a wildcard. I think that's just great football. Write
(20:19):
that script.
Speaker 3 (20:19):
Come on, so a great way to start Week sixteen.
Speaker 1 (20:26):
The menu for tonight, I ordered a play like a
platter of Mexican food and I ordered pizza like I
made the order says that could pizza or Mexican.
Speaker 4 (20:34):
You got a choice for fight night.
Speaker 2 (20:35):
You know what, who's gonna argue that? We have Brainwave
coming up. It's the game that sweeping the nation. Is
very visual, very interactive, so we urge you to watch
and play along again YouTube dot com, slash at Covino
and RICHFSR. Covino and RICHFSR on YouTube your chance to
win some prizes, a great stocking stuff for our cn
(20:57):
R on FSR nerf football brand new and we got
Rich's big TV Game of the week and weekem hobnobn
coming up. So we have so much to get to, man,
but we got to wrap up this Thursday night football game.
It really was a hell of a game and a
great way to start the weekend.
Speaker 4 (21:11):
Well, you know, Dan Bayer, Danny g All.
Speaker 1 (21:14):
The schedule watchers like me realize that the craziest wild
pun intended part of this cove is that there's two
games left for those two teams. The Niners have three
games left the NFC West.
Speaker 4 (21:28):
Each team has the ability.
Speaker 1 (21:30):
To either be the one seed or the seventh seed,
which that's a big little shift through. Now you could
be the one seed or the final last wildcard seed,
depending on how you do over the last couple of weeks.
Speaker 3 (21:42):
Out you're rich.
Speaker 2 (21:42):
Do you have more fun watching the schedule or watching
drunk girls come out of the club in Vegas?
Speaker 1 (21:49):
Oh? Both? You know?
Speaker 4 (21:52):
Wow, there for you. Drunk girls coming out of the
club in Vegas.
Speaker 1 (21:56):
We used to call them a one shoe dirty foot
club stumblers.
Speaker 2 (22:00):
Right, one shoe thirty foot club stumblers because they come
out with one shoe on in thirty feet. Yeah, man,
schedule watching all right, Yeah, let's get seven seven ninety
nine on Fox. Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox.
Before we play brain Way. Let's take some phone calls.
Speaker 3 (22:18):
Danny, G.
Speaker 2 (22:19):
You want to start in Fillmore, California? Or do you
want to start with Tim? Where do you want to go?
Speaker 3 (22:25):
Yeah, let's go to Alejandro? Alejallejandro, what's up?
Speaker 1 (22:28):
Many bro?
Speaker 9 (22:30):
Okay? So when you were talking about you're talking to
you guys are signed to your brother and like he's
ahead of you in the system.
Speaker 1 (22:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (22:38):
That is the worst thing ever. Because my girlfriend lives
in Portland and I'm in southern California and i hear
her yelling on the phone and I'm like.
Speaker 10 (22:48):
What happened?
Speaker 11 (22:50):
Like wait what?
Speaker 2 (22:52):
It's kind of weird though, because we're all the same thing, right, Alejandro.
Speaker 1 (22:56):
It is infuriating. In fact, I've tried to tell my friends.
I have a bunch of met fan friends back East.
When they're watching the Mets on local SNY and I'm
watching on the MLB app they're five to ten seconds
ahead sometimes and they'll be texting like hell yeah, and
I'm like, don't stop. So I urge him. I say, hey, guys,
can you pause? Everyone pause for five seconds and then
(23:19):
restart it and we get text throughout the game. Because
I'm not gonna play these little games where you and
I are texting and you're ten seconds ahead, and you know,
you know, Cooper.
Speaker 4 (23:27):
Cup over the middle for fifteen yards and I don't
know that yet. I can't do it.
Speaker 3 (23:32):
Thank you, Ali, Alejandro. Let's go to Jimmy and KC.
Speaker 1 (23:37):
What up Jimmy?
Speaker 4 (23:38):
Oh he's so right though, there's nothing more annoying.
Speaker 3 (23:40):
It is this annoyed. I was that guy last night?
Speaker 2 (23:42):
What up Jimmy, Jimbo Yo, Jimmy top, Jimmy, whoa Jimmy top?
Speaker 1 (23:51):
Jimmy, Jimmy failed, Jimmy, do what you gotta do?
Speaker 3 (23:58):
You know what? Jimmy beat it. Let's talk to Timmy instead.
Speaker 4 (24:01):
How do you know?
Speaker 1 (24:02):
Nothing?
Speaker 4 (24:02):
Dad happened to Jimmy. I hope you're okay, and I hope.
Speaker 3 (24:04):
He's fine back he was on a cell phone. I
hope everything's all right.
Speaker 2 (24:08):
Eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox and of course
at Covino and Rich on social media?
Speaker 1 (24:12):
What up? Tim?
Speaker 3 (24:12):
In New York City?
Speaker 12 (24:14):
I was I thought you were mispronouncing my name. I
didn't know if it was my term, but I hope
jim was okay.
Speaker 6 (24:18):
Yeah, but I was.
Speaker 12 (24:20):
Thinking texting my buddies today. I think I know how
to fix college football bowl season.
Speaker 1 (24:25):
Oh, let's do again.
Speaker 12 (24:28):
So you know, we get all the matchups and instead
of playing it now, you play it week one, so
you get all weeks, you get all off season to prepare,
you get the storylines. The games mean something. Is that
you know fresh late and before you say different teams,
No one's playing their players anymore. Everyone's opting out and
getting in the transfer portal. So this, this gives you
(24:49):
a fresh chance to really make ball season matter again.
Speaker 1 (24:52):
Bro, I feel like you smoked a ball before you
thought of that one. That's that's wild. Carry the playoffs
over to the next season.
Speaker 2 (25:00):
He smoked the ball before he tried to fix the ball. Yes,
what's up, dB, It's not just the playoffs. It's not
the playoffs.
Speaker 5 (25:08):
He's just talking about these meaningless bowl games, which, by
the way, I love team's enthusiasm. Other people have brought
this up as well as that, maybe to get value.
Although nobody wants to go to Florida and Tampa in
late August, which is part of the reason. Now why
these balls are People want to get away from the
cold weather. Even though there are some cold weather Bowl games.
(25:29):
The premise is is go someplace nice, have a nice vacation,
but the balls don't mean much anymore, and that would
be a way of adding value to it.
Speaker 3 (25:36):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (25:37):
dB. Let me ask Dan Byer, being that the playoff
has been you know, now it's twelve teams, and when
we were on our come up, there was no championship,
then there was a championship game, then there was a
smaller you know, you know, a pool of four, and
that it keeps getting bigger and bigger. Back in the day,
top draft picks would sit things out unless they were
in the national championship game. Are any players in the
(25:58):
top twelve in the playoff you think anyone will opt
to sit? Or is that just like bad taste?
Speaker 4 (26:03):
You can't be sitting in the playoff right?
Speaker 5 (26:05):
Yeah, you probably won't see that. But we've, as you said,
we've seen for a while now in meaningless bowl games
players sitting out because of injury. We've got guys who've
been injured in college football seasons that have said, you
know what, I'm probably not going to make it back
this year. I'm just going to kind of focus on
the rest of my college days and focusing on trying
(26:26):
to get to the NFL we've seen that, but to
opt out of a playoff run would be crazy. We
have seen players on teams enter the transfer portal and
remain with their teams through their postseason run. That happened
last year. But yeah, to completely opt out of a
playoff game, you probably won't see.
Speaker 2 (26:43):
I want to give some shout outs for Rich. The
live chat is pop and you could stay interactive at
Covino and Rich FSR and you two Manny munios, Wes
in Vegas, Scott for Mayor. I see that people are
saying the fight is rigged tonight.
Speaker 3 (27:01):
It is not.
Speaker 2 (27:02):
Steve Underscore Man one nine says if Paul wins, it's
one thousand percent after the show, but later says, you
look really handsome in the studio that you're in right now,
our over promised studio.
Speaker 1 (27:17):
Oh this is I'm in the home studio today because, uh,
if you want the truth, my kids had their school
concert and Dan Byer, I know you said you went
to your kids for a school concert the other day.
Speaker 4 (27:27):
As we get into the update, had to go for
a little brody.
Speaker 3 (27:30):
Did he have fun or what he had a great time?
Loved it? You guys a freezer? Did he lean into it. No,
he was into it. Yeah, he was into the whole,
the whole deal. They were first funny, it's.
Speaker 1 (27:41):
The first time most of us see our kids on
the stage. Is like a pre k or kindergarten little
Christmas show and your kid is either the ham or
they're just like headlights.
Speaker 3 (27:51):
Yeah he bought it.
Speaker 1 (27:52):
Yeah, so he brought it.
Speaker 4 (27:53):
Thanks to Thanks for our buss, Scott. He said, watch
the show and do the show from home.
Speaker 1 (27:57):
Yeah. You know, you don't want to miss those those
little kindergarten performances.
Speaker 4 (28:00):
They do them once you got to be there.
Speaker 5 (28:02):
Yeah, it was quite the show. And the line was
long before they opened the doors. It was a long
line to get in, so seating was at a premium.
Speaker 1 (28:10):
Oh nice, it's a I know what I did this morning,
Dan Buyer. I told my wife, I'm like, go early,
stand in line. I'll drop the kids off. This strategies.
It's like, yeah, you know, it's like you're tailgating or something.
You need strategies.
Speaker 2 (28:27):
Covino and Rich on Fox Sports Radio, Happy Holidays. It
is time.
Speaker 1 (28:32):
You're an orchestra is trans Now.
Speaker 2 (28:39):
We are live from the Fox Sports Radio studio and
it's time for our tire i Raq play of the day.
What a wild finish, to say the least in Seattle.
Speaker 1 (28:49):
It sounds like a church right now.
Speaker 3 (28:52):
The twelves are being quiet for the offense.
Speaker 5 (28:54):
Sam empties the backfield and now we bring charmone back.
Speaker 4 (28:58):
Inside three receivers to the right.
Speaker 1 (29:01):
Motion back inside.
Speaker 3 (29:02):
Is Barner, darnold pastime, looks, hits on hits, talk.
Speaker 12 (29:07):
Cut down, make it extra point.
Speaker 4 (29:09):
Make a conversion.
Speaker 1 (29:11):
I don't care what it is.
Speaker 3 (29:12):
Good say Offs win the game.
Speaker 1 (29:14):
Hock in home the last playing the game.
Speaker 2 (29:17):
Don't say Awks win thirty eight thirty seven hit somber
with a two point conversion. Catch holy Cow, Holy Cow
is right battle in Seattle. That's courtesy of Seahawks Radio Network.
And that was our tire Rack play of the day.
What a game, still recovering and what a night fight
(29:37):
night tonight and what a contony?
Speaker 3 (29:40):
Am I right?
Speaker 1 (29:41):
So rich?
Speaker 2 (29:43):
We have lots to get to Brainwave Big TV Game
of the week weekend hob knobbing, but real quick, right quick.
I want to remind everybody that we have a bonus
pod called over Promised right and it's a great show.
I really believe in it. Give us twenty two minutes.
We'll give you the world twenty to twenty five minutes.
And yesterday we broke down the fight like in detail,
(30:05):
and we had a fight expert on the show two
Tone to Superstar broke it down with us. And not
only did we talk about Jake Paul and AJ tonight,
but we talked about Shakor Stevenson and Tia Fimo. Next month,
we talked about Bud Crawford's retirement and Rich gave us
his week sixteen picks. So again, that's on our YouTube page,
(30:26):
Covino and Rich FSR if you want to check it out.
And I am so pumped for the fight tonight. Bro,
I am so pumped. Come over your house, eat all
your food, eat for free. You need anything, you need
me to bring anything? Bro, can you bring some You
can bring some high noons? Man here When I asked,
I'm hoping here.
Speaker 1 (30:43):
No, I'm good. No, I got everything. But if you
want to bring some high noons because did you see
that the Coplay concert cheating girl said she had one
too many high nuons?
Speaker 3 (30:54):
No is that she's blaming it on the alcohol.
Speaker 1 (30:56):
And I think Portnoy was like, what an endorsement for
his high noons, so makes you a cheat on your husband?
Makes you a cheat?
Speaker 3 (31:06):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (31:06):
So tonight I think I know what I'm gonna bet
on and I know there's a clip you want to
play Elso there was a funny comment last night during
during a game. But tonight I think the play is
this Cavino round three, four, five, and six. I'm gonna
do twenty bucks a round, I think, and twenty bucks
pays out about two hundred for most of those rounds.
(31:28):
So Jake Paul, I'm gonna bet twenty bucks on him
just to win, just like Walkshop for poppits.
Speaker 2 (31:35):
Yeah, I mean he then, Hey, Andy Ruiz knocked Anthony
Joshua out. It's a matter of how serious he takes it.
I don't see that happening, but anything could happen.
Speaker 1 (31:44):
I'm gonna spread one hundred bucks over five bets. I'm
gonna do Anthony Joshua wins by knockout, well just not
just not it wins in the third, fourth, fifth, or sixth.
And I have twenty buckses on Jake Paul to win
because if he wins, you mean, come.
Speaker 3 (31:59):
On, well, well I will say this.
Speaker 2 (32:01):
I don't believe in Jake Paul fixing fights or rigging fights.
I want to make that clear, right, But if there
is any wink wink or understanding, I was telling our
buddy Steve who's in the studio hanging out with us,
Stephen Dale here hanging out with us today, maybe there's
an understanding that, Hey, you know, give the fans one
(32:22):
round to feel each other out, something to cheer about.
So you gotta figure one round. It's gonna last, at
least one round. I think Al's gonna knock him out
either in the second or third round. I think that's
a pretty safe better. Our buddy that lives in New York,
we call him Handsome Gabe. Yes, he's handsome and his
name is Gabe.
Speaker 1 (32:39):
Yeah, our buddy, Cape says Anthony Joshua might like a
like a wild animal to jungle, you know how, like
a lion or someone will play with their food a
little bit before they eat it.
Speaker 3 (32:48):
Toy with him.
Speaker 1 (32:49):
Yeah, yeah, like he might, Anthony Joshua about essentially play
with his food a little bit and be like, all right,
let me f with this guy for a couple rounds
and then just I.
Speaker 2 (32:58):
Agree, but you can't do that too long, Like Jake
Paul is still a big dude with a powerful punch. No,
they are shorter rounds, right, shorter rounds. Jake Paul six
's one AJ sixty six. AJ's a great, great fighter,
so he should have his day with him. He's already
planning for a Tyson Fury fight. He's looking ahead. Anything
(33:19):
could happen because it's boxing. But I think he's gonna
be an exciting one. Guys, And again, if you want
to hear more about it, Covino and Rich FSR on YouTube.
Oh I promised episode one twenty.
Speaker 1 (33:28):
Two embarrassing in your mind, if Anthony Joshua doesn't knock
him out, I.
Speaker 3 (33:32):
Think he has to knock him out. I think he
will knock him out.
Speaker 1 (33:35):
I do.
Speaker 3 (33:35):
I think he'll knock him out.
Speaker 1 (33:37):
Well, we have more CNR next right here on Fox
Sports Radio, Hay Tay. Before we get to this clip.
By the way, there was a I think the clip
of the week comes from this hockey commentator. We're gonna
get to it in a second. But if anyone's living
that coaching life or the dad life, you know when
we were kids, remember the phase where ceramic bats were
(33:57):
a thing. But you, I mean, you always talk about
your Eastern Big like they were the go to bats
in the world of Little League and pony Ball.
Speaker 2 (34:03):
Pretty sure TPX made a pretty popular ceramic bat, No.
Speaker 1 (34:07):
No doubt. TBX absolutely did. Eastern TPX d Marini was
always you know in the mix later on m it's
a it's a true joke when you see it on
social media. How people say Doug out of kids. It's
five thousand dollars worth of bats and two hits. Just
I bought my son the Eastern Hypefire.
Speaker 3 (34:27):
Oh, you got to get them the big Barrel Bro,
that's the one.
Speaker 1 (34:30):
No, the Eastern Hypefire. I'm gonna show you this bad
boy again. Black Magic Man, the Black Magic the Hype Fire,
Fernando Tatis Fire, the Hype and Tattist Junior and Bobby
Witt Junior both have like sweet they look like pencils,
and honestly, it's really amazing. Once you dive into the
(34:52):
amount of money you could waste for your kid. You
know what I got, Sporting goods.
Speaker 2 (34:56):
The Eastern Holiday Heat Miser, That's what I got. I
got that Eastern Heat Me.
Speaker 1 (35:00):
I'm gonna show I'm going to show you this bad
boy I bought for a Benny Boy for Christmas?
Speaker 3 (35:04):
How much to set you back?
Speaker 2 (35:06):
It's a few hundred bucks for a high fight, a
few hundo for a little kid that picks his nose.
Speaker 4 (35:12):
Dude, he's gonna be hitting rockets.
Speaker 1 (35:13):
You'll see, all right?
Speaker 3 (35:14):
Man, Hey, that's awesome.
Speaker 2 (35:15):
Hey, I hope Santa Claus is good to all the
kiddies out there of the Fox Sports Radio Nation. Now, Rich,
before we play this clip that's sweeping the nation. Remember, Jimmy,
we lost Jimmie before. Yeah, he's back. Let's say what's
up real quick eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox.
Jimmy in North Carolina. I'm sorry, Jimmy and KC. You're
on the show.
Speaker 1 (35:35):
What's up, Jimbo?
Speaker 10 (35:37):
Hey, my phone did like my lifelong Minnesota Vikings did?
It disappointed me in the biggest moment obviously? Sadly, I'm
a life one Viking fan and I watched Arnold last year.
Speaker 11 (35:52):
I was I was okay with letting them walk based
on what he was going to get paid, but based
on our off season now I'm kind of rethink of it.
But yeah, put him behind our offensive line with the
issues we had this year. I don't think he does it,
but the main reason I was Colin. I don't know
if you guys know this. It blew my mind when
(36:12):
somebody pointed it out. Do you know that Sam Darnald
is actually younger than Joe Burrow?
Speaker 2 (36:19):
That is crazy that, Yeah, I did not. How old
is he? Sam Donald age? Well you probably know right,
how old is he? Twenty eight? He's twenty?
Speaker 1 (36:30):
You no, you know? Can you give you another interesting one? Cavino? Yeah,
I know we've talked about this before, but Lamar Jackson
is a lot younger than we all think, just because
Lamar is one MVPs and he's you know, he's he's
been in the conversation for a while. Lamar Jackson's like
deceptively way younger than we think.
Speaker 2 (36:46):
Yeah, Joe Burrow born in ninety six. He's twenty nine,
So props to Donald Man.
Speaker 1 (36:51):
Lamar jack round.
Speaker 4 (36:51):
Not Lamar Jackson twenty eight as well.
Speaker 1 (36:54):
He's not thirty. But like the way you talk about
Lamar Jackson, you know.
Speaker 3 (36:56):
Yeah, he's been around so long.
Speaker 1 (36:58):
Yeah, so hey, you know a lot of good NFL
this weekend. We're gonna get to all that. But there's
a clip, like you said, that's sweeping the nation.
Speaker 2 (37:07):
The lady that fought everybody in that San Francisco bar
and then fell on her face, and then fell on
her face.
Speaker 3 (37:13):
That might be a better fight than the one tonight.
Speaker 1 (37:16):
So I felt bad for her, But not when someone
When someone acts a fool and then gets hurt, it's
hard not to be like.
Speaker 2 (37:25):
That is a really popular clip right now. If you
haven't seen it, you will by the end of the weekend.
Speaker 4 (37:32):
Every year this happens.
Speaker 1 (37:34):
And listen. We're broadcasters, so you know the risk you're taking.
The old expression MIC's hot when you have a microphone
in front of you, Danny g you're a super producer.
You worked in hip hop, you worked in sports and
talk and everything. Is it the common sentiment, no matter
what the format, TV, radio, anything, if there's a microphone,
what do they say, Assume it's on.
Speaker 8 (37:57):
Yeah, you always have to edit yourself. It's kind of
like being with old school parents, like around your parents.
I constantly edit myself in my mom's presence, and I
try to I try to do the same exact thing
here at the studios, because you don't know if a
MIC's gonna pick you up somewhere for all you know.
Speaker 1 (38:13):
Kavino Iowa Sam could sabotage you be like, hey, Cavino,
tell me a dirty joke and then you like hit
your mic on or something.
Speaker 7 (38:18):
That's why I'm always nice to Iowa Sam. Yeah, I've
had so many opportunities to do that. You think I
would have done it by now.
Speaker 3 (38:23):
No, that's true. That's why I always treat him kind right.
Speaker 1 (38:26):
Well, you just here's the guy. There's a guy calling
a hockey game last night. This is wild. He thinks
he's going to a timeout, which is what happened with
Tom Runneman, which is what happened with a lot of people.
They think they're going to a timeout. I remember Gary
Cohen on the Mets didn't say anything controversial, but I
remember one time he's like, and we'll be back on
sn WY and he's like, man, this game really sucks.
Speaker 4 (38:48):
Like Gary, remember that.
Speaker 1 (38:49):
I was like Gary, Like, it happens all the time,
but some people get caught a little more out there
than others.
Speaker 3 (38:56):
Yeah, this is Thomas Saunders.
Speaker 8 (38:57):
By the way, the Philadelphia Flyers play by well.
Speaker 1 (39:01):
Take a listen to Thomas Sanders. We had to clearly
edit it up a little. Take a listen, and they're
playing from behind now they're gonna take the TV time out.
Speaker 6 (39:08):
We'll take it as well.
Speaker 8 (39:09):
Seven gone in the third ites three two Buffalo in
the Philadelphia Flyers broadcast network.
Speaker 3 (39:21):
Pump it up and up and up it up.
Speaker 6 (39:31):
While you're down there? Would you mind me?
Speaker 1 (39:35):
Who?
Speaker 3 (39:36):
I think we're still on the air.
Speaker 1 (39:37):
Chim, So we're not, are we?
Speaker 2 (39:46):
Oh so embarrassing dude, while you're down there?
Speaker 3 (39:51):
Would you mind?
Speaker 2 (39:52):
Oh hilarious, dude? So embarrassing too?
Speaker 1 (39:57):
Now listen, can I tell you why I love the
story because he was suspended for a game or so.
Speaker 3 (40:04):
Two games.
Speaker 1 (40:06):
And he's going to be just fine. I feel like
if this is by no means a fireable offence, but
it does. It does deserve a little slap on the wrist.
As they say, I think we're at a point now
where we've we're over the hole. He's canceled, he's fired.
I think we're over that narrative. It does deserve a
little punishment. But I think this is hilarious because it
(40:28):
could happen to anyone, which is why anyone in front
of a microphone, anyone that does any type of broadcasting
needs to be careful at all times.
Speaker 3 (40:35):
And in your regular job life.
Speaker 2 (40:36):
Yeah, but in your regular life too, always make sure
you hung up the phone right and and how many
times if you use voice to text, sometimes it's picking
up everything you say and you could almost text that
to somebody.
Speaker 7 (40:48):
Have you ever accidentally hit the button and it just
records in your pocket for like five minutes and then
it almost sends to someone You're like, oh my gosh,
what was what was.
Speaker 4 (40:58):
By the way, what did the guy say?
Speaker 1 (40:59):
Hey, well, you're down there, Why don't you beat me?
You can't lie? Like we've been friends with our video
producer Spot for twenty years. If he came in the
studio and he's like, you idiot, you're you're jostled the wire.
Now I get to and the Spot was crawling onto
the console to fix the video equipment.
Speaker 4 (41:15):
That's something you would jokingly.
Speaker 2 (41:16):
Say me or you you would one either one of
us Spots.
Speaker 1 (41:23):
So what I'm saying is thanks, I feel I feel
for them. I think I think a slap on the wrist,
of course is is gonna happen, but I'm so glad
that it's more of a funny thing.
Speaker 4 (41:35):
And yes, suspended for two games. You be careful what
you do.
Speaker 2 (41:39):
It's embarrassing though, it is like I get it, you know,
but it is embarrassing.
Speaker 3 (41:44):
He has to feel like I asked for that.
Speaker 5 (41:46):
There's only one way to one way to save it
is then you immediately go into I'll take a Dison
fan for Christmas. Go to Dyson dot com, get the
fans that you need. Yeah, this line change brought to
you by Dyson, and then just constantly refer to it
like they are a new sponsor.
Speaker 3 (42:05):
That's the tagline.
Speaker 5 (42:07):
Yes, that's that's how you just just sell it for
the rest of the broadcast.
Speaker 3 (42:12):
And while you're down there, yeah, you know.
Speaker 1 (42:15):
One cell dB, you're thinking outside the box, which is
what I like, which is.
Speaker 2 (42:20):
Yeah, you know what, he probably did have a split
second thought of how do I save this, you know,
because it's like an oh no, it's definitely that oh.
Speaker 3 (42:29):
No feeling like did I really say that on the air.
Speaker 1 (42:32):
There's this new candle company.
Speaker 2 (42:34):
You know, there's some funny, funny clips on social media.
Speaker 3 (42:39):
You ever scroll you're doing the bowl scroll right, and maybe.
Speaker 2 (42:44):
You're just watching some girl dance in a really short
skirt or something, and then you you almost accidentally send
it to your wife or girlfriend. Well, sometimes sometimes people
do that by accident, and the recovery is this rich
like I'm saving relationships here on the show. The recovery
is I saw the wife or girlfriend, I'll be like,
why did you send me that? And the guy's gonna panic.
(43:07):
Oh I saw this dress and I thought it would
look great on you.
Speaker 1 (43:12):
Don't get out of here. That's so funny.
Speaker 2 (43:14):
That's the recovery. I saw this dress, and before I
bought it, I wanted to see if you liked it
or you'd be like, oh my god, can you believe
this Hucci? Yeah, because there's so many times where guys
mess up like that by accident, like oh.
Speaker 4 (43:29):
I love the Unseen Reporter.
Speaker 1 (43:32):
You've seen this a million times where they don't realize
they've gone to them live and they're still like setting
up and they say some dumb stuff.
Speaker 3 (43:39):
Yep, oh man, yeah, be careful, and.
Speaker 1 (43:41):
It's like Janet, we're live. I have a story about Cavino. Guys.
Speaker 2 (43:47):
You know, my parents do this a lot too, And
I hang up for them because I know they're about
to say something embarrassing, so I'm like, all right, all right,
all right, Mom, al right, Dad later right, And then
like they don't hang up the phone because they're old
and they don't know what's going on. And then I'll
hear how You're like, Hey, what did he want? And
my mom's about to say, I don't know, he's an
(44:07):
act right. I know they're about to say something about me,
he's wasting all his money, he's an idiot, whatever, And
I hang up for them because I know they're about
to say something. And then your dad was like, as
long as you're down there, I'm about to hear.
Speaker 3 (44:24):
Something I don't want to hear.
Speaker 1 (44:26):
That's funny. Yeah, I don't care. Hang up. Be careful
with all technology, microphones, phones, anything. Danny G. We were,
you know, different men in our twenties, Cavino when I
were out to a lunch spot getting sandwiches, and we
had a model on our show who was sort of
flirting with Cavino.
Speaker 3 (44:46):
She wasn't like a model, bro, she was she was
more than a model.
Speaker 4 (44:51):
I think I'll try to keep it a little classic.
Speaker 1 (44:54):
Yeah. Well, we were doing a radio interview with a
woman that makes a dult contact, yeah, and she was
all about Cavino and Danny J. Covino accidentally calls his girlfriend.
She's like, hello, Hello. He doesn't realize he called her pocket.
(45:15):
She she hears a whole conversation of me telling Cavino,
bro do it. Your girlfriend will never.
Speaker 2 (45:22):
Find that Rich was egging me on. Yeah, she heard
Rich egging me on about this girl. I can never
trust Rich again.
Speaker 3 (45:30):
He's like, Rich is a creep.
Speaker 4 (45:31):
I was like, Cavino influence.
Speaker 3 (45:35):
Yeah, oh my god, I totally forgot about that.
Speaker 4 (45:38):
I was like, Carino, you're only in your twenties.
Speaker 1 (45:40):
Once, dude, I'm like.
Speaker 2 (45:43):
I can't Rich poison the well of that relationship is horrible.
But again, always make sure the MIC's not hot. That's
the reminder here. Even professionals calling hockey games, let it happen.
Don't let it happen to you.
Speaker 1 (45:55):
Well, you know what it's time for. We do it
every Friday, the big TV game of the week.
Speaker 9 (46:00):
Hit it.
Speaker 3 (46:01):
You should hear my fat up, I got an extra.
Speaker 7 (46:03):
TV the game game that I will have Riches big
TV game of the week.
Speaker 6 (46:10):
It's Rich's big TV game of the week.
Speaker 1 (46:14):
All right, Well we are in for a treat because
I don't even know if everyone realizes. This is when
we start flexing some games for Saturday. And you got
games not only on Sunday, but Saturday NFL as well,
and one of those games, well, it's the only game
on primetime on Saturday. But how are you not all
pumped about Packers at Bears. That happens at eight twenty eastern,
(46:38):
five twenty out here on the West side, Packers at Bears,
prime time, Saturday, December twentieth. So tomorrow you're gonna get
a battle for the NFC North. So that's got your
full attention. Earlier in the day, Eagles Commanders, we'll watch
that just because we all love football, right, But your
primetime game tomorrow, which deserves the tea love, Packers at Bears. Now,
(47:03):
when you go to Sunday, there's not a lot of
pickings for the early games. Jet Saints, Bills are gonna
kill the Browns, Chiefs without Mahomes. Yeah, and no one's
gonna watch him play the Titans, Chargers, Cowboys. That there
is one game that's worthy of the TV worthy and
(47:23):
that is Big Mike who runs his place his Panthers
against Baker Mayfield and the Boss. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (47:30):
I knew you were going to say that, Rich. We
talked about that was yesterday when Mike came barging in.
Was it yesterday? Yeah, that's a game.
Speaker 3 (47:37):
It'll be a fun one.
Speaker 1 (47:38):
So that that's the one early game that Sunday if
you're running some Arons or doing some last minute holiday shopping.
Not a lot of great games early on. I gotta
be truthful. I gotta, you know, gotta call it as
I sees it, only one good game in the early
set worthy and the only one that's worthy of the
big TV. Bucks and Panthers. Now, if you want to
(47:59):
have the NFL, so they take it. The boxes on
the other TV have at it. But Bucks Panthers a
battle for first place.
Speaker 2 (48:05):
And I'm pretty sure the studio was fifty to fifty
divided on who had that game, Carolina at home.
Speaker 3 (48:11):
I'm pretty sure. I still think it's to the Panthers
that have this game.
Speaker 4 (48:14):
You're you're, you feel like you're you're a big Baker guy.
Speaker 2 (48:17):
You think, But I can't, you know, automatically think they're
gonna win. I think they've they've been playing like an
ass to the second half.
Speaker 1 (48:23):
Yeah, that they are. They are the opposite of on
a like a winning hot streak. All right. Now, later
games again, it's not it's not the best. It's not
the best week for games on Sunday because we had
an amazing game. The Game of the Year was last night,
and we have Packers Bears tomorrow, So Sunday a little light,
a little light. But there is one game in the
(48:44):
late set, in fact, two games in the late set,
and we had a hard time deciding. You're not watching
Bengals Dolphins. Maybe a week or so ago you thought
that might have been something. There's two games you got
to decide between. Do you want to see what Trevor
Lawrence has going up against the Denver Broncos in Denver
bo Nicks Trevor Lawrence a battle of the youth, Or
do you want to go to Detroit and see if
(49:05):
the Lions somehow stay alive in the playoff race against
Aaron Rodgers. Aaron Rodgers playing inside up in Detroit. Those
are the two games to choose between. If you ask me,
I think the Lions are sort of out the mix
Aaron Rodgers. Whether they win that game or not, it
doesn't really matter. Becau say they still have a game
up on the Ravens. That game has less significance. I
(49:26):
am putting the Jags Broncos on the big TV.
Speaker 3 (49:30):
I like it.
Speaker 1 (49:31):
I think it's the one that deserves it, right, I mean,
I mean the Broncos. They win this game, they're thirteen
and two, and like we got to start thinking maybe
Bo Nicks and Peyton Sean Payton, who he laughed at
a couple years ago. Like remember we said it when
he teamed up with Russell Wilson that early part of
season one, people were trying to run Sean Payton out
of Denver within a season. Guys about to go thirteen
(49:54):
and two if they win this week and then you
got a great game on Sunday night. I am a
little shocked as to the race, evens being favored in
this game over the Patriots. We talked about this the
other day, Danny G. How I don't know how Vegas
is using desperation as part of making the spread, Like
just because the Ravens need this game, do you think
(50:14):
they win this game against New England?
Speaker 3 (50:17):
No, I don't.
Speaker 1 (50:19):
I don't get that sentiment.
Speaker 2 (50:20):
No, no, especially uh And Danny G did make that
point earlier this week, like New England's not dropping two
in a row here, this is a bounce back game
for the Patriots.
Speaker 4 (50:31):
So New England at Baltimore.
Speaker 3 (50:33):
Even if it's at Baltimore.
Speaker 1 (50:35):
Yeah, and then of course Monday to wrap it all up. Cavino,
my dude, Philip Rivers. I wish him luck, but not
too much luck because he's playing my forty nine ers
at home.
Speaker 4 (50:46):
So those are the good games to watch.
Speaker 1 (50:48):
But I feel like you're gonna get a really good
one Saturday Packers Bears. That's my favorite game of the week.
So they go lock it in TCL and coming up,
we are going to play Brainway.
Speaker 4 (50:57):
So if you want a.
Speaker 1 (50:58):
Cavino rich nerf turbo football, all you gotta do is
call right now.
Speaker 2 (51:04):
And by the way, you could watch it at Coveno
and Rich FSR.
Speaker 1 (51:12):
Right now.
Speaker 3 (51:13):
Rich is the game that sweeping the nation.
Speaker 13 (51:15):
I love it.
Speaker 3 (51:15):
It's Brainwave.
Speaker 13 (51:16):
Let's go, let's do it do Coveno and Rich really
share the same brain.
Speaker 1 (51:21):
Dothday Rich chatting, Chadny rays some specific Joe demagure you
is their crew not far behind.
Speaker 6 (51:29):
We're one. Welcome to Brainwave. Try to make sense of
the brain. It's easy.
Speaker 13 (51:34):
We drop on sports, music and entertainment questions and if
you match with enough of these bosums, you win.
Speaker 6 (51:41):
I love that.
Speaker 2 (51:42):
On the count of three, reveal Brainwave O one two, three.
Speaker 3 (51:49):
Yeah, yeah, walked in.
Speaker 6 (51:51):
Guys, you're on the same way blank right now?
Speaker 3 (51:54):
All right, Happy Friday.
Speaker 6 (51:56):
Danny Jawn there.
Speaker 2 (51:58):
The questions in this game are all subjective. Yeah, Rich,
you know we're on the air, right. You just need
to try and match the brain of CNR and the crew.
All right, we're gonna get our contestant on the studio
lines right now for that football. Craig in Fort lauder Daye,
Florida was the first three?
Speaker 1 (52:15):
What up, Craig?
Speaker 3 (52:18):
How are you, buddy?
Speaker 1 (52:19):
Come on, man, let's get on the same brain wave.
Let's win something.
Speaker 3 (52:22):
Come on, Craig, what do you do for a living
there in Florida?
Speaker 10 (52:25):
Chiropractor?
Speaker 6 (52:26):
Oh cool?
Speaker 3 (52:27):
All right, I have five Rich. You don't know what
that is to you, Danny G. Have you seen all
these AI chiropractor videos, the soro ones? Have you seen it? Craig?
Speaker 8 (52:41):
All right, I have five rounds ready to go. Our
contestant needs to win two of them to be the
champ and walk away with a CNR nerve football. I'm
going to ask a question and then give three debatable
answers to choose from the six of us in studio.
Are going to write down our answers on these dry
erase boards for our YouTube channel, and then on the
count of three, the caller shouts out his answer. Craig
has to match with four of us to win the round,
or no matter his answer, If all six of us
(53:03):
in studio match, it's an automatic point for the caller.
Speaker 3 (53:07):
All right, are you ready?
Speaker 8 (53:09):
Everybody gets your dry erase board out. All right, here
we go Round one. Let's start with a question about
super Bowl food. Which of these can you not skip
when preparing a Super Bowl party?
Speaker 3 (53:23):
Spread?
Speaker 8 (53:25):
Wings, pizza or nachos? Which can you not skip when
preparing a Super Bowl party?
Speaker 3 (53:34):
Spray?
Speaker 1 (53:35):
Let's see.
Speaker 3 (53:36):
You gotta wait, you gotta wait, you gotta wait. Oh,
it's all good. I'm ready.
Speaker 1 (53:43):
I'm locked in.
Speaker 3 (53:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (53:46):
I already started writing mind down before he Yeah, you
gotta wait, Craig. Okay, on the count of three, we'll
take your answer. One, two, three. He was a little
prema sure. It's the first time it's ever happened in
his life. That's okay, All right, Covino, you're up first, go.
Speaker 2 (54:05):
All right, Stevie like wingy wings?
Speaker 3 (54:10):
Okay, all right, Rich Davis.
Speaker 1 (54:12):
I'll be honest. I didn't let him sway me because
I was thinking about it. I was like, oh, nachos,
but nachos are pain they asked to make. Pizza is
more of like a get together food. But super Bowl
is when you break out the wingy.
Speaker 3 (54:23):
Yeah for sure? All right, DV I had one hundred
percent had him sway me.
Speaker 2 (54:29):
I was about to write nachos wing over here, cheater
cheaterster the holiday season time.
Speaker 14 (54:39):
To give all right, spotty spotty today playing for Colin
in Canada on the YouTube chat.
Speaker 3 (54:44):
I agree with him. It is wings spotty like wing.
Speaker 8 (54:50):
He's already a winner. Yeah, so I'm I'm changing my
answer of wings all right, Tommy wan wingy too.
Speaker 3 (54:58):
So yeah, I said, well, I do think best answer.
Speaker 1 (55:01):
Rich nailed it.
Speaker 2 (55:02):
The explanation was perfect, Like we're gonna be eating pizza
tonight for fight night super Bowl, the wings around.
Speaker 3 (55:07):
How am I gonna pass that up?
Speaker 4 (55:09):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (55:09):
I don't think you do pizza on Super Bowl.
Speaker 4 (55:11):
And like if you would have said, like, oh, some
dip or something, that.
Speaker 1 (55:14):
Might have been answered. But I think yeah, wings is answer.
Speaker 8 (55:17):
Dana Ja your hippy all right, Craig halfway halfway to
a cee an our price and Craig don't shout out
your answer this time until we ask for it.
Speaker 10 (55:25):
Okay, I got it, all right?
Speaker 8 (55:27):
Round two, let's go to music. Which of these bands
is the most quote unquote overrated kiss bon Jovi or
you two? Which of these bands is the most overrated
Kiss bon Jovi or YouTube? All right, we're all writing
(55:47):
our answers down.
Speaker 2 (55:51):
I'm thinking the who, just to upset Iowa saying that's
not accurate.
Speaker 8 (55:56):
Speaking of Sam, we are gonna go in reverse order
this time, so Samuel L. Johnson right after we get
Craig's answer here on the counter. Three all right, one
blocked in two three Craig, He says, bon Jovi?
Speaker 3 (56:11):
What do you say? Sam? I'm a fan of this band,
but I said kiss? All right, kiss.
Speaker 8 (56:18):
So the other bands I can name at least one
or two songs, I really like this one I cannot.
I also said kiss. Wow, all right, Spotty Boy playing Fallen.
Speaker 14 (56:29):
Chimed in, and I agree with him ever since they
threw those music on our iPhones against our Will you too?
Speaker 3 (56:38):
All right?
Speaker 5 (56:39):
Dan Byer, Well, there's no way I would ever say
you too. It's my wife's favorite band. We've went and
seen them in concert a few times heard more than me.
Speaker 3 (56:47):
Listen.
Speaker 5 (56:48):
I don't think Kiss gets enough credit because they're all
marketing for some of the good songs. And I think
bon Jovi's best song is Runaway before they actually made
it huge. Let me bon job all right, man, I
feel terrible my answer now, Rich Davis.
Speaker 1 (57:03):
Who's that contested again, Craig, Craig, your head's up, your
ass us. Three of the guys on the on the
panel here are New York and New Jersey guys, so
bon Jovi's not gonna be the answer for half the
people here. Secondly, I'm with Dan Byer. You two has
catalogs of hits. Kiss markets well, I want to rock
and roll all night and party every day is the
(57:24):
only song you might even know. Kiss overrated on every level.
Speaker 3 (57:29):
All right, and just for fun, Covino, what it is,
Rich could kiss my ass?
Speaker 2 (57:32):
And I feel bad saying this because you know, Dan
Byer's wife is a great woman.
Speaker 4 (57:35):
But tonight, thank.
Speaker 1 (57:39):
God it's Damn instead of you.
Speaker 3 (57:43):
You too, man, you too.
Speaker 5 (57:46):
My wife is just texted. I'm officially a Rich Davis guy. Now, yeah,
I'm a Rich Davis guy.
Speaker 1 (57:51):
Take Damn Byer.
Speaker 4 (57:52):
I can name twenty you two songs, but you know
you and I bought.
Speaker 8 (57:56):
All right, let's go to the third round, Sports Round three,
Which of these positions is the most difficult to play
in the major leagues? Catcher, third base or center field?
Which position is the most difficult to play in the majors? Catcher,
third base or center field? All right, we're all writing
(58:17):
our answers down and Craig on the counter. Three meets
your answer one two three? Catcher, Catcher, he says, Covino.
Speaker 2 (58:29):
Yo, I think I got behind a plate one time,
and it was impossible when the bats starts swinging your way.
Speaker 3 (58:36):
Plus the equipment wasn't for me.
Speaker 1 (58:38):
Catcher all day, right, Canino was that little little leaguer
that was flinching.
Speaker 3 (58:44):
It was a flinchy position for sure, Rich Davis, let's
say you.
Speaker 4 (58:48):
I mean centerfield.
Speaker 1 (58:49):
You gotta have some speed, third base, hot corner, baby button.
There's a reason why cal Rally almost won the MVP.
The only argument all year long was, yo, Aaron Judge
has a number, but cal Rowley catches every day.
Speaker 2 (59:02):
Catcher, all right, dan Byer catcher, Yeah, spotty boy, I'm
gonna have to go with catcher.
Speaker 3 (59:13):
He's a winner right there. Win Winter Chicken dinner.
Speaker 8 (59:16):
Yeah, let me go, Craig. You know we have time
quickly to throw in CNR Kuzie. All right, so Craig,
you want a football already? Let's do entertainment to end
things off this week?
Speaker 1 (59:29):
All right?
Speaker 8 (59:30):
Which of these cartoons will live on through reruns the
longest o the Flintstones, Tom and Jerry or Popeye? Which
of these cartoons will live on the longest through reruns,
The Flintstones, Tom and Jerry or Popeye. We're all writing
our answers, and Craig, we need your answer in the
(59:55):
count of three, one two three, Cam and Jerry, says
Tom and Jerry, Sam.
Speaker 7 (01:00:03):
You know, Steve, we share a love of Popeye. But
I also watched a lot of the Flintstones on Nickelodeon
Nicket Night, so I went with the Flintstones.
Speaker 3 (01:00:14):
All right.
Speaker 8 (01:00:15):
Well, you know what, Craig, you get a point for
me because I said Tom and Jerry.
Speaker 2 (01:00:20):
Yeah, forever, Tom and Jerry. All right, Spotty Yabba dabado Flintstones.
Speaker 3 (01:00:27):
Alright, all right there somewhere Dan Byer.
Speaker 5 (01:00:29):
I mean, the show's been on for six hundred million years.
It's got to be the Flintstones, right, What did you say,
Richie Davis?
Speaker 1 (01:00:37):
No, I'm a good gauge of this. I have a
five year old and an eight year old. I love Popeye.
Speaker 4 (01:00:44):
Put my kids on.
Speaker 1 (01:00:44):
Know who Popeye is? Tom and Jerry? Nope. But you
know what they eat. You know what they eat all
the time. Fruity pebbles. I remember Barney Rebbell. He loves
fruity pebbles in a major way. They're in the box
of fruity pebbles flintstones for fun.
Speaker 3 (01:01:00):
What did you say, I said, Popeye?
Speaker 1 (01:01:02):
Dude?
Speaker 6 (01:01:03):
Popeye chicken? Popeye Q a different thing.
Speaker 1 (01:01:08):
Kids eat spinach po chicken.
Speaker 2 (01:01:10):
We are divided all that, sure, answer, But Craig, Popeye,
Craig and Fort Lauderdale did win a see in our
turbo nerd football though.
Speaker 8 (01:01:18):
Congratulations, Break It's thanks.
Speaker 12 (01:01:21):
I appreciate it.
Speaker 1 (01:01:21):
Man.
Speaker 2 (01:01:22):
Yeah, that's very very Christmas man. All right, great questions,
great game. By the way, are football is more edible
than a Popeye's biscuit?
Speaker 1 (01:01:32):
Really? Man? I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:01:34):
I think Pope still works. I think it translates with
the kids today.
Speaker 4 (01:01:38):
I agree.
Speaker 1 (01:01:39):
I'm just saying what lives on. Go down the cereal aisle.
There's like twenty versions of fruity pebbles.
Speaker 2 (01:01:44):
Now a dude, I'm a huge fan of Coco pebbles,
so I'm not hating on the Flintstones. I think they're
all great answers. That's what makes it tough. It is funny.
So that means it's time for weekend hobnobbin.
Speaker 1 (01:01:56):
Yeah, let's go live in for the weekend.
Speaker 13 (01:02:00):
You're winning bets for talking points if you get stuck socializing.
Speaker 1 (01:02:04):
You ever done anything dangerous?
Speaker 13 (01:02:05):
You ever dance with the devil in the line?
Speaker 6 (01:02:08):
Friday brings us weekend?
Speaker 3 (01:02:11):
Hob nob me all right, I'll kick it off. It's
an obvious one.
Speaker 2 (01:02:16):
Friday Night fights are back on Netflix tonight. I know,
Jake Paul AJ, Anthony Joshua. It should be an easy
night for Anthony Joshua. But it's boxing, it's Jake Paul.
Anything could happen. We're all getting together, we're all watching,
we're all talking about it on Monday, so tune in
(01:02:40):
even if you hate Jake Paul, right, it's your chance
to see him get a beat down. So Jake AJ
tonight on Netflix. But after the fight, we've been talking
about it all week. Danny g You're finally on it, right,
